- 1:48Speaker 3: Linda and so many others, Marshall. And, uh, we will
- 1:51Speaker 3: get this episode rolling right now. So Jerry, You missed
- 1:54Speaker 3: it on yesterday's episode of The Treehouse. Trey and I
- 1:57Speaker 3: had fun talking about the woman on a plane who
- 2:01Speaker 3: was so drunk.
- 2:02Speaker 4: How drunk was she?
- 2:04Speaker 3: That she took off her pants and started masturbating in
- 2:07Speaker 3: the window seat on an American Airlines flight. One thing
- 2:12Speaker 3: I forgot to mention yesterday that I want to make
- 2:15Speaker 3: sure I squeeze in today. And that is, I was
- 2:17Speaker 3: just really glad that this was a lady because this
- 2:21Speaker 3: is behavior that unfortunately I've come to expect out of
- 2:24Speaker 3: a guy. So the fact that it's a female really
- 2:27Speaker 3: just shoots or squirts this story to the top of
- 2:32Speaker 3: my inbox.
- 2:34Speaker 4: I cannot be stopped.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Just like her.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Now, because of this story, Jerry, Trey and I got
- 2:44Speaker 3: off on, I can't stop it.
- 2:45Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Talking about whether or not we would actually want to
- 2:50Speaker 3: join the Mile High Club. Solo, that doesn't count as
- 2:55Speaker 3: joining the Mile High Club. Maybe back in the day
- 2:58Speaker 3: when bathrooms were bigger and a little bit nicer, or
- 3:01Speaker 3: maybe if you got one of those first-class pods kind
- 3:06Speaker 3: of a thing, then you would do the Mile High Club.
- 3:08Speaker 3: But Trey and I are like, not if we're an economy.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Were airplane bathrooms.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Bigger in the past? I always remember them being really tiny.
- 3:18Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I'm just assuming that they were bigger.
- 3:20Speaker 5: I don't know. Uh, I never, I never flew in
- 3:23Speaker 5: the 60s or 70s.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I mean, I, I, I've never flown. I mean, I
- 3:29Speaker 2: haven't traveled that much. So I, I, especially back then, but, uh,
- 3:34Speaker 2: but yeah, I mean, like we talked about, if we
- 3:37Speaker 2: try to do something in the airplane bathrooms, we would
- 3:39Speaker 2: hurt ourselves.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Uh, But if you had one of those first-class pods or.
- 3:46Speaker 2: You were really balling and you were on Emirates, then yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: you'd have an effing orgy in there and no one's
- 3:52Speaker 2: going to know.
- 3:53Speaker 4: You know what? You're right.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Actually, on Emirates, they may actually welcome an open orgy
- 3:58Speaker 3: because they have the actual bar on the plane that
- 4:01Speaker 3: people can gather and commiserate.
- 4:03Speaker 4: You know what?
- 4:04Speaker 3: If you're on an Emirates plane and you bend somebody
- 4:07Speaker 3: over the bar, they'll probably be cool with it.
- 4:11Speaker 2: It's a two-story flying * * * * fest.
- 4:16Speaker 4: That needs to be Emirates' new slogan.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 4:19Speaker 3: People will absolutely fly Emirates. Like, American Airlines can have
- 4:26Speaker 3: the friendly skies. Emirates has the * * * * sky.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Hey, are you going to take the... What was the
- 4:37Speaker 4: international plane back in the day? Was it the Condor or.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Concord?
- 4:43Speaker 4: Concord, yeah. People are like, oh, are you going to
- 4:45Speaker 4: take the Concord to Europe this summer? No, I'm going
- 4:49Speaker 4: to take the F-Fest to the Middle East.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Because it has a f * * * ing disco
- 4:57Speaker 2: ball and everything.
- 5:00Speaker 4: You know what it's like?
- 5:02Speaker 3: It's like in Thor Ragnarok with Jeff Goldblum's spaceship. When
- 5:07Speaker 3: you hit the party button and the ball comes down and.
- 5:10Speaker 5: All the party stuff, the fireworks, that needs to be
- 5:13Speaker 5: Emirates' new ad. Yeah, I like that.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I truly feel like that'll pick up some new clients
- 5:23Speaker 3: for Emirates. So, Jerry, before we get into the new
- 5:27Speaker 3: twist on this story, are you a member of the
- 5:31Speaker 3: Mile High Club?
- 5:32Speaker 6: I am not.
- 5:35Speaker 5: I am not. Do you want to be, I mean,
- 5:39Speaker 5: I'm always open.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Would you be open to it if you were flying economy?
- 5:48Speaker 6: Sure.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know what?
- 5:51Speaker 3: That's how, you know, if you've never seen Jerry, that's how,
- 5:53Speaker 3: you know, Jerry is a, is a skinny man and.
- 5:58Speaker 4: And probably bendy.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Like Jerry's probably flexible enough, even though he's 52 that,
- 6:03Speaker 3: you could probably put your leg on some things in the,
- 6:05Speaker 3: in the airplane laboratory and probably still get her done.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Trey and I are too, too wide for that. We're
- 6:13Speaker 4: going to hurt something. It's not going to be pretty.
- 6:16Speaker 5: I think I remember those bathrooms being about the same size.
- 6:18Speaker 5: My first airplane ride was 1985.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Me too.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I, I, I was terrified though. I don't think I,
- 6:28Speaker 3: I don't think I left my seat. I think I
- 6:30Speaker 3: had the death grip around my mom's arm.
- 6:32Speaker 4: I was so scared. I was going to Disney World
- 6:36Speaker 4: with my sister, so it was kind of the same thing.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I went to Disney World, too.
- 6:40Speaker 4: That was my first time.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how age changes you.
- 6:45Speaker 2: When I was a kid or younger, I always wanted
- 6:47Speaker 2: the window seat so I could watch everything.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Now I want the aisle seat so I can stretch
- 6:51Speaker 1: a leg.
- 6:53Speaker 3: And I can go to the bathroom without having a
- 6:55Speaker 3: bunch of people get up. Only downside, though, because I'm
- 7:00Speaker 3: with you. I'm now aisle seat guy as well when
- 7:02Speaker 3: I can. but you got to be careful, man. When
- 7:05Speaker 3: those flight attendants say, watch your shoulders, you got to
- 7:07Speaker 3: be quick because they will run you the F over
- 7:10Speaker 3: with that cart. So the story about the woman diddling
- 7:17Speaker 3: herself on an American Airlines flight has certainly gone viral.
- 7:21Speaker 3: And then TMZ dropped this bombshell yesterday afternoon.
- 7:29Speaker 5: It's the actual.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Video of the woman doing it. In her window seat
- 7:35Speaker 3: on the flight.
- 7:37Speaker 1: So obviously she had the whole row to herself.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Right. Well, I don't know if it started that way
- 7:46Speaker 3: or if someone was sitting next to her and once
- 7:49Speaker 3: she took her pants and everything off, they said, you
- 7:51Speaker 3: know what?
- 7:51Speaker 5: I believe I'm going to find a new seat.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Or if she had the row all to herself. I
- 7:56Speaker 4: don't know.
- 7:57Speaker 5: I will say this, though. This is not a graphic video.
- 8:01Speaker 3: It's not like Pornhub or something where we can see
- 8:05Speaker 3: everything she's doing. But she's got herself positioned towards the
- 8:09Speaker 3: window as she's diddling herself on this flight.
- 8:12Speaker 1: She's class.
- 8:13Speaker 5: She is.
- 8:14Speaker 4: She's not being gratuitous with it.
- 8:16Speaker 5: A little bit of an exhibitionist at the window.
- 8:22Speaker 4: If you're a bird flying by, you're getting a hell
- 8:24Speaker 4: of a show. Although now this... You remember the.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Hang on, what is it?
- 8:32Speaker 4: You remember the Twilight Zone movie and the monster on
- 8:35Speaker 4: the wing of the plane?
- 8:36Speaker 5: There's a man on the wing of this plane.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Now we know why he wanted inside the plane so bad.
- 8:44Speaker 5: Get me in there.
- 8:44Speaker 4: She's ready to go.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Like anything these days, if you're doing something questionable or
- 8:52Speaker 3: just straight up illegal like she's doing. People are going
- 8:55Speaker 3: to get video evidence of it, and now it's on TMZ,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and now it's on social media forever.
- 9:03Speaker 5: Congratulations. You famous.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's funny.
- 9:08Speaker 2: When I first saw the story, I wondered where the
- 9:11Speaker 2: video was.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Right here.
- 9:14Speaker 4: She's got one leg up, one leg down there.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Circular motion there.
- 9:22Speaker 7: Yep.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. Flicking the old bean right there. She's hitting all
- 9:27Speaker 3: the right spots. Usually they just hand out pretzels. I
- 9:33Speaker 3: didn't realize that they've gone back to handing out nuts.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I'll see myself out.
- 9:41Speaker 1: They didn't have to ask chicken or fish.
- 9:45Speaker 4: She brought her own.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Just go to the next aisle. Oh, God bless cell phones.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Usually I kind of find reasons to hate cell phones,
- 9:55Speaker 3: but the fact that we all are now armed with
- 9:57Speaker 3: cameras at all times makes things.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Like this kind of worth it. Speaking of seeing things
- 10:04Speaker 4: that you can't.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Unsee, Trey, is the Congo kayaker real or is this
- 10:10Speaker 3: some AI generated thing that you're going to make me believe?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Oh, no, that is very, very, very real.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Oh, God, this is fantastic.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Freakish i haven't even watched the video that you sent
- 10:21Speaker 3: i just saw the title of it let me see
- 10:22Speaker 3: if i can bring this in here real quick um
- 10:25Speaker 3: this is um um one of the dumbest things i
- 10:30Speaker 3: think i've ever heard and we're following this story up
- 10:33Speaker 3: with a woman who was diddling herself on a plane um.
- 10:39Speaker 5: There's a guy ash dykes.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Ash what dykes dykes Ash Dykes is an extreme athlete
- 10:49Speaker 3: and explorer. And apparently, he is going to navigate the
- 10:55Speaker 3: Congo Basin in an inflatable kayak.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Well, everyone needs a hobby, I suppose.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Yeah, this ain't a hobby. This is a death wish.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it very much is a death wish because... And
- 11:21Speaker 1: to give you some perspective, he's already done the Amazon. Really?
- 11:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Well, you know what?
- 11:31Speaker 3: Credit to him for having survived that because that's... Like,
- 11:36Speaker 3: when I saw the story that said there was a
- 11:37Speaker 3: guy who's going to basically float the Congo Basin, I wondered,
- 11:40Speaker 3: is he just warming up to the Amazon?
- 11:43Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Congo's... far worse than the Amazon. The actual Congo river
- 11:48Speaker 2: at some points is over 800 feet, 900 feet deep.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And it has its own, it's like the ocean. It
- 11:57Speaker 2: has its own ecosystem, but just this, I forgot the name.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It starts with an S. This is the.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Sunga.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Sunga river. But yeah, I mean, you are talking about. Crocodiles, elephants, hippos.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Hippos.
- 12:14Speaker 4: The hippos. And he's going to do this in an
- 12:17Speaker 4: inflatable kayak?
- 12:19Speaker 1: They have to. So here's the thing. This is why.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So at first I was like, why in the F?
- 12:24Speaker 2: And his reasoning is sound in that. So if they come,
- 12:28Speaker 2: if they're going down the river and they see a
- 12:30Speaker 2: bloat of hippos ahead, they have to go.
- 12:33Speaker 1: To the side, de-inflate. Is that the right word?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Uninflate the kayaks, roll them up, hike on foot. So
- 12:44Speaker 2: then you have to wear, you know, worry about pythons
- 12:45Speaker 2: and all sorts of other things to go around the
- 12:49Speaker 2: bloat of hippos until, and then, and also, you know,
- 12:54Speaker 2: forest elephants.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Sure.
- 12:57Speaker 1: So yeah. And this is a 700 kilometer trek.
- 13:04Speaker 3: This guy, this guy watched the rock in the Disney movie,
- 13:09Speaker 3: the jungle cruise and took it way too literally.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I remember like, I saw an interview with one of
- 13:15Speaker 2: the guys that did the Amazon with him. And they
- 13:19Speaker 2: asked him, hey, why aren't you doing this one? And
- 13:23Speaker 2: the guy was like, because I don't ever want to
- 13:27Speaker 2: do that again.
- 13:27Speaker 1: It was miserable. We were eating.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Just a spoonful of porridge at night, lost over 20 pounds,
- 13:39Speaker 2: said it was absolutely miserable.
- 13:42Speaker 5: You know what?
- 13:43Speaker 6: Maybe.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Maybe that's a good secret to not getting eaten in
- 13:49Speaker 3: the Amazon or the Congo is that you're so malnourished
- 13:52Speaker 3: you don't seem tasty to the wildlife. Like, ew, that
- 13:56Speaker 3: human's gross looking. Let's wait for a bigger one. Let
- 13:59Speaker 3: me actually watch this video here. This is from CNN
- 14:03Speaker 3: on TikTok.
- 14:04Speaker 6: I hadn't even thought about that.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Also gorillas. Silverbacks.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 6: This is the length of the Sangha River all the
- 14:20Speaker 6: way to the Congo River.
- 14:21Speaker 8: Explorer and athlete Ash Dykes is taking a trip that
- 14:24Speaker 8: most wouldn't even fathom. It's one of six expeditions he's
- 14:28Speaker 8: taking in extreme environments he's calling Project Six.
- 14:31Speaker 6: The Congo is pretty much the baddest, most dangerous place
- 14:34Speaker 6: on the planet you can go to right now. You know,
- 14:36Speaker 6: it is serious and I'm taking it very serious. We're
- 14:38Speaker 6: literally going by inflatable kayak. So we've got a backpack.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Two backpacks, actually. And within the backpacks, we'll have solar panels.
- 14:45Speaker 6: We'll have sleeping equipment. We'll have ration packs and food
- 14:49Speaker 6: along the way as well.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Sleep. I would not be sleeping.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I'd be afraid to sleep because when night falls, that's
- 14:57Speaker 3: when the really scary creatures come out, especially if you're
- 15:00Speaker 3: sleep floating down this river.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Well, and also here's one other factor to keep in mind.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You also have all sorts of civil wars and tribal
- 15:09Speaker 2: conflicts all along.
- 15:12Speaker 5: I hadn't even thought about the warlords.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Jesus.
- 15:18Speaker 3: All these problems are not bad enough. You also may
- 15:21Speaker 3: get caught up in AK-47 crossfire.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Or just in order to film.
- 15:29Speaker 5: What's that, Trey?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Or just hunted.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Just straight up hunted.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Or inflatable.
- 15:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 6: A kayak is important to the success of this expedition,
- 15:41Speaker 6: believe it or not. If we come across a pod
- 15:43Speaker 6: of hippos, for example, further down the way, and we're like,
- 15:47Speaker 6: it's suicide to continue paddling, we can deflate it, pack
- 15:50Speaker 6: it into a backpack, chuck it on our back, and
- 15:53Speaker 6: then we can actually walk a huge detour around them
- 15:56Speaker 6: to inflate the kayaks and continue.
- 15:58Speaker 8: He says he's taking precautions and speaking to locals who
- 16:01Speaker 8: know the river. Animals like hippos and crocodiles and disease
- 16:04Speaker 8: are at the top of his mind in preparing for
- 16:06Speaker 8: the journey.
- 16:07Speaker 6: There's going to be so many barriers along the way,
- 16:10Speaker 6: so many sort of scary times, so many times that
- 16:13Speaker 6: we potentially panic, so many noises in the night that
- 16:16Speaker 6: we don't know why.
- 16:16Speaker 3: So they're showing video on this now. I'm assuming that
- 16:19Speaker 3: this is video from when they did the Amazon trip.
- 16:22Speaker 6: Correct.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Because they just showed the massive, I'm assuming those are
- 16:25Speaker 3: mosquito bites that looked like mosquito bites on steroids. They
- 16:30Speaker 3: showed a Goliath bird-eating tarantula spider. the biggest scorpion I
- 16:39Speaker 3: think I've ever seen just now. Plus the piranhas in
- 16:42Speaker 3: the river. Oh my God, this guy's, and that's just
- 16:45Speaker 3: the Amazon.
- 16:45Speaker 6: There's so many ripples in the water that we're just like,
- 16:51Speaker 6: what was that? But by the time we crossed the
- 16:53Speaker 6: finish line, Oh God, I've experienced it many times before, fortunately.
- 16:57Speaker 6: And it is, it's a strange feeling that you can't
- 17:00Speaker 6: really explain. And we finished, we've done it.
- 17:04Speaker 5: We've achieved a world's first record.
- 17:06Speaker 6: I faced much tougher before. Madagascar took me 155 days.
- 17:11Speaker 6: You know, I was held up at gunpoint. I crossed
- 17:14Speaker 6: crocodile infested rivers. I contracted the deadly strain of malaria.
- 17:18Speaker 6: I had to hunt and gather to stay alive. I
- 17:20Speaker 6: was pulling off leeches. I had spider bites, which infected.
- 17:24Speaker 6: You know, there's lots you can do in the Congo.
- 17:26Speaker 6: It's a lot of easy trips as well. But then
- 17:29Speaker 6: there's a lot of suicidal trips as well. And I've
- 17:32Speaker 6: kind of picked one that is in between both.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Not for me.
- 17:37Speaker 4: In the next couple of days.
- 17:38Speaker 5: I'm going to be drunk. That's all suicidal in my book.
- 17:42Speaker 2: And just as a point of reference, someone has tried
- 17:45Speaker 2: this before, back about 15 years ago. I can't remember
- 17:49Speaker 2: his name, but, you know, world-class adventure athlete. And the
- 17:54Speaker 2: last thing people saw of him was a large crocodile
- 17:57Speaker 2: that swam up to his boat, and they have never
- 18:00Speaker 2: found his body.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So, yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Not even a foot? Nope. Good luck with that.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm guessing the crocodile didn't go up just to say, hello.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Oh, that is.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Hearing him say that this is an in-between adventure and suicide, I.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Go glamping.
- 18:38Speaker 4: I'll bring a bag of marshmallows, make some s'mores, you know?
- 18:41Speaker 2: I mean, I'm sure that he will make a lot
- 18:45Speaker 2: of money because I know either the BBC or Nat
- 18:49Speaker 2: Geo has contracted with him, I think, so they're obviously
- 18:52Speaker 2: going to make a show out of this.
- 18:56Speaker 1: But is it worth it? How much money would it take?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Because I can't, it would have to be high, high
- 19:06Speaker 2: eight figures for, For me to go, okay, yeah, it's
- 19:09Speaker 2: worth my life to be that miserable for that long.
- 19:14Speaker 4: And possibly not. Yeah, and that's if you live.
- 19:17Speaker 3: If you live, it'll still be the most miserable experience
- 19:21Speaker 3: of your life if you survive.
- 19:23Speaker 6: Right.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and if you survive, that doesn't mean you'll... Because
- 19:28Speaker 2: you could catch something that you might survive in the
- 19:30Speaker 2: short term, but two years later, it gets you.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 4: There's just a hippo waiting for you in your closet.
- 19:41Speaker 5: How did that get in there?
- 19:43Speaker 4: Oh, man.
- 19:46Speaker 3: This is a great reminder that there are some really
- 19:48Speaker 3: terrifying places. on this planet that I have no interest
- 19:52Speaker 3: to see.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Like, even when people say, oh, we're going to do a.
- 19:56Speaker 5: We're going to Africa. We're going to do a safari.
- 19:58Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 20:00Speaker 1: This is also.
- 20:01Speaker 2: It's an incredible reminder of the fact that there are
- 20:05Speaker 2: still large portions of this planet we have not explored,
- 20:08Speaker 2: and we don't know what lies behind.
- 20:12Speaker 1: What lies beneath, but you may find out.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Um, uh, yeah, the, the, God, what was it? Um, um, God,
- 20:23Speaker 3: I just had to, I said a massive brain toot. Um,
- 20:26Speaker 3: but yeah, anytime you hear about certain places and things
- 20:28Speaker 3: and people go, I'm like, I have, I'm not doing
- 20:30Speaker 3: that when it comes to, Oh, I remember what it was.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Now there was a video a couple of weeks ago.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I'm guessing it was on some African safari.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I don't really know.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Some guys in like an open air Jeep type vehicle
- 20:41Speaker 3: or a land rope, land Rover discover, whatever. And there
- 20:45Speaker 3: is a female lion that had crawled under the seat
- 20:49Speaker 3: and its head is poking up like between the legs
- 20:52Speaker 3: of some person. And they're just staring each other down.
- 20:55Speaker 3: And I think the video, they had it captioned something
- 20:59Speaker 3: like the amount of calm that this person was able
- 21:02Speaker 3: to master. I'm like that right there is why I
- 21:05Speaker 3: will never go do that. Cause that lion is going
- 21:07Speaker 3: to eat my junk.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Well, it would also, you would just see, if that
- 21:14Speaker 2: was me, you would just see a wet spot and
- 21:16Speaker 2: followed by some fluid just going down the seat.
- 21:20Speaker 3: And hopefully that would be a deterrent to the lion.
- 21:23Speaker 3: It's like, oh, this one's gone bad. This one's pooping
- 21:26Speaker 3: all over the place. That's just not a good flavor
- 21:28Speaker 3: on my lion palate.
- 21:32Speaker 5: There you go. That's the secret.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 5: If there's ever a lion in your vehicle, just Ask yourself.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Just let it rip. Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Make yourself as least tempting of a morsel as you
- 21:46Speaker 3: possibly can. Because I'll tell you right now, if I
- 21:49Speaker 3: belly up to the Thanksgiving table and the turkey just
- 21:52Speaker 3: starts pooping itself, I'm not going to eat it. So
- 21:54Speaker 3: I'm hoping the same would happen if a lion got
- 21:57Speaker 3: its eyes on me on some sort of African safari.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I'm nervous enough going to like wild country safari when
- 22:03Speaker 3: they give you like the buckets of feed I'm worried
- 22:06Speaker 3: about getting, you know, a horny giraffe, let alone going
- 22:10Speaker 3: to an actual African safari and a lion crawls into the.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Vehicle with you. I'm not doing that stuff.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So you're not worried about getting bit or getting clawed.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You're worried about getting.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Well, I mean, at the family parks and stuff, I
- 22:28Speaker 3: don't think they typically have lions there that can come
- 22:31Speaker 3: up and eat out of your feed bucket.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Um, giraffes.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Yes.
- 22:35Speaker 4: And I don't want to get licked to death.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I'm kind of with Dan on this one. Have you ever,
- 22:45Speaker 5: have you ever seen giraffe? It's a giraffe. Dan, this
- 22:47Speaker 5: is your supporter.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Here you go.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Thanks, Jerry.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Thanks for being here with me.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I've not. Yeah, it's been a long time.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I've been on one of those like safari type things
- 23:10Speaker 3: and it makes me nervous a little bit. But I'm like,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I'm not going to have any situation kind of like
- 23:14Speaker 3: you went through with your stepmom, Trey, where she was
- 23:17Speaker 3: taking a hamburger meat and smearing it over the car
- 23:19Speaker 3: to attract the lions to the vehicle.
- 23:21Speaker 5: I'm not doing that.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I saw the video where the lion opened up someone's
- 23:25Speaker 3: car door. I'm not going, not happening.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I saw that video too.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And I really do feel like if, if you're going
- 23:37Speaker 2: on a safari, whatever lock the lock, making sure the
- 23:41Speaker 2: doors are locked is something you're really going to be.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Cognizant of.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I want the, if I'm in the back seat, I
- 23:49Speaker 3: want the child safety locks on. I want the window
- 23:51Speaker 3: locks on. I want all of it locked.
- 23:53Speaker 4: I'm not, no, I'm not running.
- 23:55Speaker 5: You know what, though?
- 23:56Speaker 3: I don't have to worry about that if I don't
- 23:57Speaker 3: go in the first place. But that was also the
- 24:02Speaker 3: advantage of old school vehicles with the manual locks. Like
- 24:06Speaker 3: you wanted to lock that back door.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Exactly, Jerry.
- 24:08Speaker 3: You had to fist it. So you knew that door
- 24:12Speaker 3: was locked. Nowadays, if you breathe on the little switch
- 24:15Speaker 3: on the side, it'll unlock itself and you'll never know it.
- 24:18Speaker 3: And that's how the lions get in your car and
- 24:20Speaker 3: eat you.
- 24:22Speaker 1: So you long for the days of fisting it.
- 24:26Speaker 4: In this regard, in this scenario, absolutely.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Bring out the biggest fist I can take.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Oh, okay. You know what?
- 24:40Speaker 4: Speaking of fisting, I found myself a segue here.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 24:47Speaker 3: into the treehouse. 833-COOK-DFW is the phone number to get
- 24:51Speaker 3: your free roof inspection and property review scheduled. The website, cookdfw.com.
- 24:57Speaker 3: I'm going to say some scary words, Daniel.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Super El Nino.
- 25:06Speaker 3: And the effect that is going to have on weather,
- 25:10Speaker 3: especially in the North Texas area.
- 25:14Speaker 5: You know, You're right.
- 25:16Speaker 7: We just are officially in going into the Super El Nino.
- 25:20Speaker 7: The reason why is because it's warmer than a regular
- 25:22Speaker 7: El Nino. And it does prelude that we will have
- 25:27Speaker 7: a wetter, higher rain percentage than a normal year, or
- 25:32Speaker 7: shall we say on El Nino. So there are some differences, speculations.
- 25:38Speaker 7: Nothing is set in stone. This is not a guarantee
- 25:41Speaker 7: that we're going to have a deluge of water. for
- 25:43Speaker 7: the next year. I mean, that's just not what it means.
- 25:46Speaker 7: Scientific data says, hey, we might have a wetter than normal.
- 25:50Speaker 1: We could have more storms. It could be just a
- 25:52Speaker 1: lot of rain. We all need to go out and
- 25:54Speaker 1: build arcs. I don't know.
- 25:55Speaker 7: But I mean, be prepared. The moral of the story
- 25:59Speaker 7: is every day you live in North Texas, especially in
- 26:02Speaker 7: North Texas, be prepared. Know how your home is sitting.
- 26:05Speaker 7: Know how your roof looks. Know how your Windows are working.
- 26:09Speaker 7: Know if your doors have holes in them. I mean,
- 26:11Speaker 7: just know your home.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Know your home.
- 26:13Speaker 7: Call us out.
- 26:14Speaker 1: We want to educate you.
- 26:15Speaker 7: We will come around, walk you around, show you things
- 26:17Speaker 7: that you should know, and then we can help you
- 26:19Speaker 7: with getting them taken care of.
- 26:21Speaker 4: And no pressure, all education.
- 26:23Speaker 3: And Daniel and his fine team at Cook DFW will
- 26:25Speaker 3: take care of you, the homeowner, with very, very gentle hands.
- 26:29Speaker 5: I know because I've been in them.
- 26:31Speaker 4: 833-COOK-DFW. That sound bad?
- 26:33Speaker 5: Sounded bad.
- 26:33Speaker 3: 833-COOK-DFW. Get that scheduled today. The website, cookdfw.com. I really
- 26:43Speaker 3: hope this is the hot Christmas toy for 2026.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Buttface.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Is Buttface the most popular toy of the year? I
- 26:55Speaker 3: hope it is, and it's on sale for Prime Day.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Or it was.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I may have missed Prime Day. I don't know if
- 27:00Speaker 3: Prime Day is still a day now or if it's
- 27:02Speaker 3: a week long.
- 27:03Speaker 5: But there's a toy out there. It's multiple days, and
- 27:06Speaker 5: it's a couple of times a year. Okay.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Well, there's a toy out there known as Buttface. His
- 27:14Speaker 3: actual name is Chester Cheeks. And he looks like a
- 27:20Speaker 3: little butt emoji. Not a peach emoji, but an actual
- 27:23Speaker 3: butt emoji. And here, I'll be pulling this photo for you.
- 27:29Speaker 5: Stop that.
- 27:31Speaker 4: And now let me share this.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Let me show you Buttface here that is on sale
- 27:35Speaker 3: for Prime Day. He's got like the troll hairdo that
- 27:41Speaker 3: sticks straight out of his head.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 27:44Speaker 3: He's got headphones and it's a butt. It is an
- 27:48Speaker 3: absolute butt with two eyeballs on both on either cheek,
- 27:51Speaker 3: two little eyebrows and the butt crack going right down
- 27:55Speaker 3: the middle. And then underneath the butt, you got little arms,
- 27:58Speaker 3: hands and feet. Butt face on sale for Prime Day.
- 28:03Speaker 3: My first thought, of course, would have went right to radio. Oh,
- 28:07Speaker 3: because of the headphones? Or is that KZPS's next new
- 28:12Speaker 3: morning show?
- 28:18Speaker 1: I mean, googly eyes do make everything better.
- 28:21Speaker 3: It really does. I mean, it adds a lot to it.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I mean, you take the eyes away. It's just a
- 28:25Speaker 3: butt listening to some tunes. What's worse, the fact that
- 28:33Speaker 3: this toy exists or the fact that I kind of
- 28:36Speaker 3: want one?
- 28:40Speaker 5: I don't know what I was expecting, but I don't
- 28:41Speaker 5: think it was that.
- 28:43Speaker 3: There's no other way to describe it. It's actually a
- 28:47Speaker 3: butt-faced toy.
- 28:51Speaker 5: I guess I need one of those to go along
- 28:52Speaker 5: with my Petey the Penis.
- 28:57Speaker 4: You know what?
- 28:57Speaker 3: Coming from anybody else, I would ask more questions. But
- 29:02Speaker 3: from you, Jerry, having a Petey the Penis makes sense.
- 29:07Speaker 3: This is actually called Chester Cheeks. And you can get
- 29:14Speaker 3: it on Amazon Prime, on sale for Prime Day. It
- 29:20Speaker 3: takes the nostalgic whoopee cushion to the next level. So
- 29:22Speaker 3: not only does Buttface here make an assortment of farting
- 29:26Speaker 3: noises when you squeeze or.
- 29:28Speaker 5: Spread his cheeks. Oh, God.
- 29:30Speaker 4: He also dances when you press his head.
- 29:33Speaker 5: Buttface dances.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Has a quirky plume of hair on his head and
- 29:36Speaker 3: wears headphones that flop around when he bounces and toots.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Wow. Has Tara ever decorated your ass?
- 29:46Speaker 5: Not with... No. No, Trey. No.
- 29:49Speaker 1: You should tell her about the googly eyes. I think that,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you know....
- 29:55Speaker 5: All right.
- 29:55Speaker 4: That I'm not opposed to. Like you said, googly eyes
- 29:58Speaker 4: can make anything.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They really do.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Just imagine having one of those in your stocking on
- 30:03Speaker 3: Christmas morning, though. How excited would you be? I would
- 30:08Speaker 3: also like to think that somewhere there's a parent that's
- 30:10Speaker 3: going to get a kid's Christmas list to Santa, and
- 30:13Speaker 3: it's going to have butt face on it, and now
- 30:15Speaker 3: you know what it is.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Does it say how big those things are? You know what?
- 30:22Speaker 4: Let me see here.
- 30:25Speaker 5: If it says....
- 30:28Speaker 3: There's a video of one, but I don't think it
- 30:30Speaker 3: offers any perspective. Like it's showing it like dancing around
- 30:34Speaker 3: and stuff.
- 30:34Speaker 4: It looks like it's about a foot tall or so.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 30:38Speaker 5: That's pretty big.
- 30:39Speaker 2: If those were small enough, I would be in favor
- 30:42Speaker 2: of starting a new trend. Cause you know how Jeep
- 30:44Speaker 2: people put the ducks, the rubber ducks in there.
- 30:49Speaker 5: On the dash. Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 3: I want to, I want a whole bunch of butt faces.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Lining, lining my Jeep dash instead of rubber duckies.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Like right.
- 31:00Speaker 3: And then they, Like they did the whole Barbie thing
- 31:03Speaker 3: to rubber duckies, right? So Barbie has all these different jobs.
- 31:06Speaker 3: They do the same thing with the rubber duckies. It's
- 31:07Speaker 3: rubber ducky Elvis and rubber ducky like Gene Simmons and
- 31:11Speaker 3: rubber ducky whatever else. You could do the same thing
- 31:14Speaker 3: with all the butt face toys. Like I want Captain
- 31:17Speaker 3: America butt face. That's America's ass.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Do you feel restless and anxious? Feel like something's missing

- 32:02Speaker 3: inspection and property review by calling and scheduling at 833-COOK-DFW.
- 32:09Speaker 3: 833-COOK-DFW or the website cookdfw.com. Okay, today is Thursday, October 8th, 2026.
- 32:18Speaker 3: Let's celebrate today with some birthdays. Alright, we will start
- 32:29Speaker 3: today with Angus T.
- 32:30Speaker 5: Jones.
- 32:31Speaker 3: He is 33 years old today. He is the youngest star,
- 32:36Speaker 3: Jake Harper from Two and a Half Men. The little
- 32:38Speaker 3: kid from Two and a Half Men, 33 years old today. Ouch.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Yep. Not for him, though.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I imagine he's getting Scrooge McDucket whenever he feels like it.
- 32:49Speaker 3: He made a lot of money on that show. Even
- 32:52Speaker 3: before I think he was 21, he was a millionaire.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Which is It's not surprising to say it actually makes sense.
- 33:00Speaker 3: I bet the kid on two and a half men
- 33:03Speaker 3: was smarter with his money than Charlie Sheen was.
- 33:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:09Speaker 5: It's actually an adult involved with him.
- 33:13Speaker 1: He stayed away from hookers and blow.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Who knew that that was the secret all along?
- 33:21Speaker 3: Turning 41 today, Bruno Mars. prolific singer. Really, really talented guy.
- 33:26Speaker 3: 41 years old today, Bruno Mars. Nick Cannon is 46.
- 33:32Speaker 3: He's a television host, singer, performer. He was also on
- 33:38Speaker 3: Wildin' Out, even though he doesn't do anything with Pulling Up.
- 33:41Speaker 1: That's his show. It's Nick Cannon's Wildin' Out.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Ah, gotcha.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Besides having... I mean, he's got like 12 kids, and
- 33:58Speaker 1: one of his baby mamas is Mariah Carey. How did
- 34:02Speaker 1: he get famous, though? Anyone know?
- 34:04Speaker 4: Was he a rapper, actor?
- 34:10Speaker 3: I think he was starting out with music and then
- 34:12Speaker 3: carried it over into hosting and stuff.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I don't think he's ever done a thing music-wise. I
- 34:17Speaker 2: think that's what I've seen, a running joke.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Oh.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Then you know what? I have no idea.
- 34:24Speaker 3: He's one of those guys that you woke up one day,
- 34:26Speaker 3: kind of like Ryan Seacrest, and he was just everywhere.
- 34:29Speaker 3: It's like, where did this person come from? Probably found
- 34:32Speaker 3: a genie in a lamp is my guess.
- 34:35Speaker 5: He started out on Nickelodeon. He was, as a teenager,
- 34:38Speaker 5: he was a comedian and a writer for some shows
- 34:42Speaker 5: on Nickelodeon. That's how he got his. Got it.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Double AJ in the chat is right. He says Nickelodeon, maybe.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Yep.
- 34:50Speaker 5: That is correct.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Um, also I like, uh, how, uh, double AJ says
- 34:55Speaker 3: instead of Jeeps, you could put those butt face toys
- 34:57Speaker 3: on the dash of a Prius that fits, uh, other
- 35:02Speaker 3: birthdays today. The Ms from WWE is 46. He originally
- 35:10Speaker 3: broke out on the real world back to New York
- 35:13Speaker 3: in 2001. Um, So yeah, The Miz started on Real
- 35:19Speaker 3: World 25 years ago.
- 35:20Speaker 5: I remember when they were.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Doing on MTV the WWF, WWE wrestling camp show. And
- 35:29Speaker 3: he was one of the ones that went into the
- 35:31Speaker 3: camp that they did a couple seasons.
- 35:33Speaker 4: I loved that show. Did you ever see that?
- 35:36Speaker 3: It was like a reality show of up-and-coming WWE stars
- 35:41Speaker 3: going through this WWE boot camp. And whether or not
- 35:45Speaker 3: they had what it would take to become a WWE star.
- 35:49Speaker 4: I loved that show. It was so much fun.
- 35:51Speaker 2: For me, MTV, as their reality shows gained, my interest waned.
- 36:01Speaker 2: The real world started mid-90s, I think.
- 36:06Speaker 3: And even early nineties, like 93, 94, maybe something like that.
- 36:10Speaker 1: But that was interesting.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Like the first three, four seasons of the real world were,
- 36:15Speaker 2: were interesting to me, but then I lost interest and
- 36:22Speaker 2: MTV kind of peaked in the late nineties for me.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I mean, I hate to say it, but Carson daily
- 36:25Speaker 2: TRL was the peak of it.
- 36:27Speaker 1: And then after that, no, absolutely. Yeah.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Then, then sadly, and I just figured this was age,
- 36:33Speaker 2: then VH1 became more interesting.
- 36:36Speaker 5: Oh, that stings.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Well, you know, for a while, VH1, like they had
- 36:41Speaker 2: the Behind the Music series and all this other stuff.
- 36:44Speaker 2: And they played the hits.
- 36:48Speaker 5: They did. They really did.
- 36:50Speaker 3: I notice, I feel like MTV's Jump the Shark type
- 36:55Speaker 3: moment was when they gave the VJ job to the
- 36:58Speaker 3: homeless guy. I think his name was Jesse. He was
- 37:04Speaker 3: like a tall, skinny guy. He looked like he should
- 37:07Speaker 3: have been in a band. And they had like, who
- 37:08Speaker 3: wants to be an MTV VJ?
- 37:10Speaker 4: And they gave it to the homeless kid.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And he sounded like it. Yeah, he had that weird,
- 37:14Speaker 1: pitchy voice that would go up and down. Yeah. Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I don't think, you're not wrong.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that was it for me. And you're right,
- 37:25Speaker 3: that kind of made that shift over to VH1 as well,
- 37:27Speaker 3: because they still occasionally showed music videos, and they also
- 37:30Speaker 3: had Behind the Music, which was phenomenal.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Other birthdays today Matt Damon.
- 37:35Speaker 3: 56 every single time someone asked me who do you
- 37:41Speaker 3: have a favorite actor I always come back to cert
- 37:44Speaker 3: like Matt Damon is always just right there.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I love the meme where after what was the Odyssey
- 37:55Speaker 2: Odyssey yeah there was the meme going around that they've
- 37:59Speaker 2: spent 625 million trying to save Matt Damon.
- 38:05Speaker 3: And all these directors and studios have made billions of
- 38:08Speaker 3: dollars trying to get Matt Damon.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Home because you had the odyssey.
- 38:12Speaker 5: It was obviously the latest one.
- 38:14Speaker 3: You had it in the Martian, which is one of
- 38:16Speaker 3: my favorite movies of all time.
- 38:18Speaker 4: That's that, that's actually on the list of my favorite movies.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Saving private Ryan.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Interstellar that gets lumped in there because he was one
- 38:29Speaker 3: of the astronauts there.
- 38:30Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it's a fascinating thing.
- 38:32Speaker 3: It's kind of like, hey, if you're trying to save
- 38:35Speaker 3: somebody and get them home in a Hollywood movie.
- 38:37Speaker 5: Well, you just got to call Matt Damon. That's going
- 38:39Speaker 5: to work. Technically, it's Jason Bourne. He's trying to get
- 38:43Speaker 5: himself home.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not sure if they count that one in
- 38:47Speaker 3: that box office total because he's doing it himself. But
- 38:51Speaker 3: if they did, it's really unfair. Karen Parsons is 60.
- 38:55Speaker 3: She played Hilary Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
- 38:59Speaker 6: Wow.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:00Speaker 5: 60.
- 39:01Speaker 4: 60.
- 39:02Speaker 5: I wonder how she looks these days.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Co-founder of Netflix, Reed Hastings, 66. I still remember getting Netflix.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Not me, because I wasn't rich enough. I still remember
- 39:24Speaker 3: people I know getting Netflix DVDs in the mail.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 39:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 4: And wishing I had enough money to invest in that.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Or if you're the Blockbuster CEO at the time, you
- 39:40Speaker 2: just go hang yourself.
- 39:43Speaker 1: I forgot what the number is. They could have bought
- 39:45Speaker 1: Netflix so cheap.
- 39:46Speaker 5: It's just sickening. It really is.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I do wonder this. I wonder if there's going to be...
- 39:52Speaker 3: Because I've seen stories like this on occasion. I don't
- 39:54Speaker 3: know if it's actually picking up any actual steam. Gen Alpha,
- 39:58Speaker 3: Gen Z, or just people in general wanting this return
- 40:03Speaker 3: to physical media instead of everything being streaming, everything going
- 40:07Speaker 3: through your phone or your TV. Is it possible that
- 40:12Speaker 3: people will go back to DVDs, CDs, cassettes, vinyls?
- 40:17Speaker 2: They've, they've dismantled all the production of it. I mean, you,
- 40:21Speaker 2: you don't have a vinyl. Now vinyl is something that
- 40:24Speaker 2: they have actually, they, they've always produced vinyl. Like it
- 40:29Speaker 2: never completely died. No one's ever going to make a
- 40:31Speaker 2: cassette again. Uh, and at the end of the day,
- 40:38Speaker 2: who has a DVD player anymore?
- 40:42Speaker 4: There don't Jerry does.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Um, There's a boom box that I keep seeing on
- 40:47Speaker 3: my social media feed that is for sale at Costco.
- 40:51Speaker 3: And it's got a CD player, a cassette player, and
- 40:55Speaker 3: I think a radio and Bluetooth capable. So you can
- 40:58Speaker 3: basically do every possible thing except for a record player
- 41:02Speaker 3: on this boom box. But I don't have any cassettes
- 41:06Speaker 3: to stick in there. I don't have any CDs to
- 41:08Speaker 3: stick in there.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Where would you even go to find those things to
- 41:12Speaker 4: put in there?
- 41:14Speaker 2: No, and sadly, I had a good record collection, and
- 41:18Speaker 2: it got destroyed in a flood, and everything else I had,
- 41:22Speaker 2: I hadn't taken good care of. It was scratched and
- 41:24Speaker 2: everything else, and it's just like, but I mean, I
- 41:28Speaker 2: get vinyl to a point.
- 41:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:32Speaker 2: But here's the thing, and this is something we have discussed,
- 41:37Speaker 2: I don't know, ever on the show, but like the
- 41:41Speaker 2: sound quality of radio of the songs is so bad.
- 41:47Speaker 5: We have not discussed this.
- 41:48Speaker 6: Okay.
- 41:49Speaker 2: So when we went to, I really noticed it at
- 41:53Speaker 2: iHeart because iHeart has their own proprietary format that they use.
- 42:00Speaker 1: And when it was designed, it was designed because if.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You rip a CD, you have a WAV file. So
- 42:07Speaker 2: it's like, let's say it's a 30 megabyte file. And
- 42:12Speaker 2: what MP3 is is a compressed version. So that 30-megabyte
- 42:16Speaker 2: file comes to a 3-megabyte file. Clear Channel System was
- 42:20Speaker 2: designed to go from WAV to their actual format of WAV,
- 42:24Speaker 2: compressed but still have audio quality. But what people started
- 42:27Speaker 2: doing was taking the MP3s and then running it through there,
- 42:31Speaker 2: so compressing an MP3 even more. And so if you
- 42:36Speaker 2: listen to iHeartStations, and you have, let's say, on you
- 42:42Speaker 2: an MP3, iHeart Music, or not iHeart Music, but iTunes,
- 42:48Speaker 2: and you go listen back and forth, it is striking
- 42:52Speaker 2: how bad the quality is.
- 42:56Speaker 3: If you're not comparing it to something else, you may
- 42:59Speaker 3: not notice it that much. You may not notice it
- 43:01Speaker 3: at all. To a trained ear, a trained ear will
- 43:05Speaker 3: notice it, but if you were to hear the two
- 43:07Speaker 3: side by side, or one after the other kind of
- 43:09Speaker 3: a thing, Yeah, Trey's right.
- 43:12Speaker 5: You'll be stunned.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Like somewhere, somewhere, Jay Walker are one of my favorite
- 43:17Speaker 3: chief engineers of all time. You talk about an audio
- 43:21Speaker 3: fidelity junkie. Jay Walker at CBS. Rolling over in his
- 43:28Speaker 3: grave at the sound that I heard files push out.
- 43:32Speaker 2: And this is how this is how.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Effed up I heart is.
- 43:39Speaker 2: At one point, I offered to go through and change
- 43:45Speaker 2: out all the songs in the Eagle library so that
- 43:49Speaker 2: they sounded good. And this went all the way up
- 43:52Speaker 2: to the head of engineering, and I was told, don't
- 43:56Speaker 2: mess with it. We have the equipment on the other end.
- 44:01Speaker 2: When it gets broadcast, it boosts it back up.
- 44:04Speaker 1: It's fine. No, it's not.
- 44:06Speaker 3: You can't improve on a crap file. If it comes
- 44:11Speaker 3: in crap, there's only so much you can do on
- 44:12Speaker 3: the backside.
- 44:13Speaker 2: The last thing they wanted was other people to realize
- 44:17Speaker 2: how bad the music sucked. If you had one station
- 44:19Speaker 2: all of a sudden sound good, then everyone else might go, hey.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Hey, why does this station sound so much better than ours?
- 44:27Speaker 5: It's also a.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Great insight into how.
- 44:31Speaker 3: iHeart and corporate radios has been like, we don't care
- 44:35Speaker 3: about the product.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:38Speaker 1: KZPS Mornings.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Sigourney Weaver is 77.
- 44:45Speaker 3: One of the ultimate Hollywood badasses and one of the
- 44:47Speaker 3: first Hollywood female badasses.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Took on an alien wearing a mech suit.
- 44:52Speaker 5: That was awesome.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Has she been in anything lately?
- 44:59Speaker 5: She still is.
- 44:59Speaker 3: She gets peppered around and stuff. She was the head
- 45:01Speaker 3: of the hand in the Marvel TV universe.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Oh, that's right.
- 45:06Speaker 3: She's also in the Avatar movies still, I think. Um,
- 45:11Speaker 3: there was something else I saw her in recently. Um, God,
- 45:15Speaker 3: I'm brain farting it now, but no, she's still around.
- 45:17Speaker 3: She's still doing stuff.
- 45:21Speaker 1: And finally, I just hope she looks better than Linda Hamilton.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Uh, you know, remember in the first Terminator when, uh,
- 45:34Speaker 3: the skin gets peeled off the Terminator. Mm hmm.
- 45:39Speaker 4: That looks better than Linda Hamilton.
- 45:43Speaker 2: She was in a show, Resident Alien, which everyone loved.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I was very meh on.
- 45:51Speaker 3: I loved the first season of Resident Alien.
- 45:54Speaker 1: And was she in Stranger Things?
- 45:57Speaker 6: Yep.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 1: I can't remember which one it was, but I saw
- 46:03Speaker 1: her and I was like, I know her. I know
- 46:07Speaker 1: that face. I know it's something. And then I was like, oh, no.
- 46:11Speaker 6: I know.
- 46:12Speaker 3: Like you first see the face and you're like, I
- 46:14Speaker 3: know that guy from somewhere.
- 46:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Really, we did not. No one told you about moisturizer.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Well, two more.
- 46:24Speaker 3: And these are two mega birthdays. Chevy Chase, 83. Absolutely
- 46:28Speaker 3: loathed in Hollywood and rightfully so. But I still am
- 46:33Speaker 3: able to separate the man from the art. Christmas Vacation
- 46:37Speaker 3: is my favorite movie. I love his character, Fletch, which
- 46:41Speaker 3: is a real jerk by today's standards. I just saw
- 46:45Speaker 3: a couple days ago a clip of Chevy Chase in
- 46:49Speaker 3: Fletch Lives where he's in the newspaper offices and he's
- 46:53Speaker 3: hitting on this woman. He's like, hey, do you want
- 46:54Speaker 3: to go get some In-N-Out? And she's like, no, I
- 46:56Speaker 3: already have lunch plans. All right, well, how about just
- 46:58Speaker 3: the In? That's sexual harassment. And then he does that
- 47:03Speaker 3: and then pinches his boss's butt as he walks by
- 47:06Speaker 3: and then points to a different guy.
- 47:07Speaker 5: All in one take. It's terrible.
- 47:10Speaker 1: He had Spies Like Us, Fletch, Christmas Vacation, Funny Farm. Yes.
- 47:18Speaker 5: He was in a movie called Modern Problems in the 80s.
- 47:23Speaker 4: I've not seen that.
- 47:24Speaker 1: But I mean, he had a run. But yeah, I mean,
- 47:27Speaker 1: talk about.
- 47:27Speaker 2: I mean, he's up there with Shatner as someone who
- 47:30Speaker 2: generally everyone hated.
- 47:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:33Speaker 5: Maybe even more so than Shatner.
- 47:36Speaker 3: And finally, Paul Hogan, Crocodile Dundee.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Is 87 years old today.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Not only is that impressive to make it to 87
- 47:44Speaker 3: as a human, but to make it to 87 as
- 47:46Speaker 3: an Australian, because that continent wants you dead. Paul Hogan,
- 47:52Speaker 3: 87 years old today. And I got fooled a handful
- 47:58Speaker 3: of years ago when they had a trailer for a
- 48:03Speaker 3: Crocodile Dundee reboot starring Chris Hemsworth, you know, Thor. I
- 48:10Speaker 3: actually wish that they were making that movie because the
- 48:12Speaker 3: trailer for it was so good.
- 48:14Speaker 4: I wanted it to be a real movie, but it was.
- 48:17Speaker 5: A spoof they did for Australia tourism.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Hemsworth could pull that off.
- 48:27Speaker 2: And as far as the fact they've remade everything, it
- 48:31Speaker 2: is surprising they haven't tried to remake that movie.
- 48:35Speaker 4: It's all right there.
- 48:37Speaker 3: The story, the cast with Chris Hemsworth, all of it.
- 48:40Speaker 3: They could take that Australian tourism video and just turn
- 48:44Speaker 3: it into a movie, and I will line up at
- 48:47Speaker 3: the movie theater for it. That was how good that
- 48:48Speaker 3: trailer was. I was convinced it was real.
- 48:52Speaker 2: They'd probably screw it up and put Liam in there, though.
- 48:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that would really F it up. That's the wrong Hemsworth.
- 48:58Speaker 3: Actually, can you get the third Hemsworth and try it
- 49:01Speaker 3: with him instead of Liam?
- 49:02Speaker 5: I think that would even be better.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Or get the dad.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Yeah, what's he doing? Maybe even the mob.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Do they have a sister?
- 49:12Speaker 4: Is there a Hemsworth dog?
- 49:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 49:20Speaker 5: Last thing. Here we go.
- 49:24Speaker 3: An unexpected bulge revealed 10 live birds stuffed down a
- 49:29Speaker 3: man's pants at the Miami International Airport.
- 49:36Speaker 4: Bird smuggling.
- 49:38Speaker 5: Bird smuggling.
- 49:40Speaker 3: I don't know why I'm obsessed with this, but when
- 49:42Speaker 3: people get caught doing stupid things or smuggling stupid things,
- 49:46Speaker 3: what the reaction to fellow inmates is going to be,
- 49:49Speaker 3: it's like, hey, man, what are you in for?
- 49:51Speaker 5: I'm in for smuggling. Ooh, that's cool.
- 49:53Speaker 4: What'd you smuggle?
- 49:55Speaker 3: Birds.
- 49:57Speaker 1: What?
- 49:59Speaker 4: That's so lame. Federal criminal complaint.
- 50:05Speaker 3: States that Customs and Border Protection officers pulled Alberto Hernandez
- 50:09Speaker 3: Castillo after he arrived on a World Atlantic Airlines flight
- 50:14Speaker 3: from Havana, Cuba. Agents said he's a Cuban national, legal
- 50:19Speaker 3: permanent U.S. resident, claimed to have nothing to declare, and
- 50:22Speaker 3: said he was on the island to visit family. This
- 50:25Speaker 3: is Merritt Island in Florida, I believe.
- 50:29Speaker 5: Oh, no, I'm sorry.
- 50:30Speaker 3: He went to Cuba to visit family. Then he was
- 50:32Speaker 3: coming back to the United States. During the interview, CBP
- 50:35Speaker 3: officers observed an unexplained bulge on the front of his
- 50:38Speaker 3: pelvis and waist area and noted he appeared nervous. Then
- 50:43Speaker 3: the agent wrote because of that, the officers gave him
- 50:46Speaker 3: a pat down. The pat down revealed he was concealing
- 50:50Speaker 3: six cylindrical clear plastic containers, each wrapped with tape and
- 50:54Speaker 3: some black mesh material affixed near the openings. The tubes
- 50:57Speaker 3: are then sewn into his underwear. Each tube, Tube-contained live birds.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Ten of them, in fact. Is that a great tip
- 51:07Speaker 4: in your pocket, or are you just happy.
- 51:08Speaker 5: To see me?
- 51:11Speaker 1: Sir, your cock should be crowing.
- 51:24Speaker 5: I believe that's a good stopping spot. Yep, yep, yep.
- 51:29Speaker 3: So this pat down of a show brought to you
