- 0:02Speaker 1: This is an Unspoiled Network podcast. This is Spoiled Me,
- 0:09Speaker 1: covering one piece episodes Oh Boy, Here we Go, episodes
- 0:17Speaker 1: eight eighty three through eight eighty five, One step Forward
- 0:22Speaker 1: for her dream Shira Ho, she goes out in the sun,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I miss him, Vivi and Rebecca's sentiments, and in the
- 0:31Speaker 1: dark recesses of the Holy Land, a mysterious giant straw hat.
- 0:39Speaker 1: In these episodes, we are getting a lot of recaps,
- 0:43Speaker 1: but I actually found them still pretty entertaining, even though
- 0:47Speaker 1: we have seen a lot of this somewhat recently. If
- 0:50Speaker 1: you've been watching the live action and I have no
- 0:54Speaker 1: idea what to fucking make of this giant, evidently frozen
- 0:58Speaker 1: straw hat. Welcome to spoil Me, Welcome to the show everyone.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I am Natasha. Thank you very much to Florian for
- 1:26Speaker 1: commissioning this episode. And Florian is here in the chat.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Thank you for being here, Florian. So yeah, y'all, this
- 1:35Speaker 1: is a clearly like we're just setting up to see
- 1:39Speaker 1: practically everybody that we have ever met in this series again,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and I'm down with it. I'm cool with that. I
- 1:47Speaker 1: actually it's very funny. Sometimes I think back to this
- 1:50Speaker 1: moment where there's a friend of my husband's named Tessa
- 1:55Speaker 1: who is a big fan of One Piece, And this
- 1:59Speaker 1: was years ago. I think I was only in like,
- 2:04Speaker 1: I think I was just making it through the dress
- 2:06Speaker 1: Rosa arc or not dress Rosa, Sorry Alabasta And I
- 2:13Speaker 1: said something about really liking either Buggy or Mister two
- 2:19Speaker 1: or something, and his friend said, oh, yeah, when like
- 2:25Speaker 1: every time they show up, especially such and such, it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: really fun. And they said especially such and such. It
- 2:33Speaker 1: wasn't like a spoiler exactly. It was just letting me
- 2:37Speaker 1: know that this character would come back in the future.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And at that point, I don't think it could have
- 2:42Speaker 1: been Alabasta even but at that point I didn't understand
- 2:48Speaker 1: the way the show worked, and I was like, don't
- 2:52Speaker 1: spoil me that they're coming back, and this person looked
- 2:56Speaker 1: at me and just went, what, like everybody comes back?
- 3:00Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't know that, don't tell
- 3:04Speaker 1: me that. And I was really irritated because it just
- 3:08Speaker 1: felt like I just told you, why would you you know?
- 3:12Speaker 1: And now I'm here at episode eight hundred. Now I
- 3:18Speaker 1: get why they were so baffled, but they just didn't
- 3:22Speaker 1: understand how early in the run I am so they
- 3:25Speaker 1: were thinking, like, this is the whole thing with the show,
- 3:29Speaker 1: but I didn't have that context. I didn't know, So
- 3:33Speaker 1: at this point I can somewhat sympathize with them just
- 3:37Speaker 1: being like baffled at me not wanting that spoiler when
- 3:42Speaker 1: they don't even think of it as a spoiler, and
- 3:45Speaker 1: it really isn't you know. But at the time, I
- 3:49Speaker 1: thought that the narrative was going to continue in a
- 3:52Speaker 1: more traditional way, whereas the way it works is like
- 3:56Speaker 1: a mini series of adventures and then we like eventually
- 3:59Speaker 1: touched base with everybody find out what's going on with them,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and because pretty much like almost nobody dies, you are
- 4:08Speaker 1: able to keep touching base throughout no matter how far
- 4:12Speaker 1: into the series you get. Florian is just in the chat.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Giant hat. Giant Hat. This made the theory people go
- 4:20Speaker 1: wild when it first showed up. Yeah, I'll bet I've
- 4:24Speaker 1: been thinking about it because like this the last scene,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I was really confused. Initially, We're just seeing this person
- 4:33Speaker 1: go down some stairs all the way into the basement,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and it's clearly like this is in Mariegeois under the
- 4:41Speaker 1: like big palatial building where the reverie is. Right, I
- 4:48Speaker 1: was like seeing all of this fog, there's this figure
- 4:53Speaker 1: that's moving really really slowly, and there was a moment
- 4:59Speaker 1: where it being like kind of spooky down there and
- 5:04Speaker 1: quiet and almost feeling like a dungeon quality. It was
- 5:08Speaker 1: reminding me of what's the villain that takes people's shadows?
- 5:12Speaker 1: And I was like, this guy doesn't look like like
- 5:16Speaker 1: he's not a big enough figure, so he can't be
- 5:19Speaker 1: that character. But I was wondering, like, are we dealing
- 5:22Speaker 1: with something like that again? And Geko Maria, thank you Florian.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And there was the mention right before we go into
- 5:33Speaker 1: the basement where we are seeing do Flamingo who's like
- 5:36Speaker 1: all chained up in impelled down, all chained up, while
- 5:41Speaker 1: meanwhile there are people like swimming around with giant hams. Guys.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I don't know what the fuck that was. I don't
- 5:48Speaker 1: know what's happening there, but regardless, he mentions Magellan and
- 5:55Speaker 1: that guy has that like poison gas thing. Right, So
- 6:00Speaker 1: then I was like, wait, are we actually in uh
- 6:05Speaker 1: Mariegeois now or did we go back to impel down.
- 6:10Speaker 1: It just felt like there was an establishing shot of uh,
- 6:15Speaker 1: oh my god, I just said it, and I've you
- 6:18Speaker 1: guys are gonna have to forgive me. There's so many
- 6:20Speaker 1: different names, but I don't Yeah, I don't think this
- 6:24Speaker 1: is like this is in the Holy Land. So if
- 6:30Speaker 1: it's the Holy Land, is this like a relic? And
- 6:35Speaker 1: it's in a really large space where I'm like, there's
- 6:40Speaker 1: enough fog hiding all of what else is in this
- 6:43Speaker 1: room and we just have the uh focus in of
- 6:47Speaker 1: the camera on this one particular item. So there's potentially
- 6:53Speaker 1: lots of other stuff down in this basement as well,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and the fog is to like obscure what else we've got.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I don't know what this could like. Listen, we just
- 7:10Speaker 1: we just came off of the whole cake arc. I'm
- 7:17Speaker 1: honestly sad about it. That arc could have kept going.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I would have been fine with it. I was looking
- 7:26Speaker 1: at this cake and all I could see was a
- 7:28Speaker 1: giant or this hat. All I could see it was
- 7:30Speaker 1: a giant cake. Like there have got to be so
- 7:35Speaker 1: many people out there who have had like one piece
- 7:38Speaker 1: themed parties and had a straw hat cake. It would
- 7:42Speaker 1: be a very easy one to do. There's all kinds
- 7:45Speaker 1: of obviously things that you could do for cakes with
- 7:48Speaker 1: the one piece theme, but a hat would be super easy.
- 7:53Speaker 1: To do homemade and it would still be quite effective,
- 7:56Speaker 1: you know. So I see this giant thing and instantly
- 8:00Speaker 1: also it's like looks like it's frozen. So it looks like, yeah, well,
- 8:04Speaker 1: we're keeping it cold till we serve it, what you know,
- 8:08Speaker 1: And I am really curious, what the fuck, because there's
- 8:14Speaker 1: something there is. I can't remember which of the characters,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but it's uh. I think one of the fishmen who
- 8:25Speaker 1: says something about how like there's something about this place
- 8:29Speaker 1: that feels off, and I was sort of like, okay, well, okay,
- 8:38Speaker 1: you know what before I start down this road. Florian says,
- 8:43Speaker 1: do Flamingo is a celestial dragon, so he kind of
- 8:46Speaker 1: knows about the secrets of the Holy Land. I would say,
- 8:49Speaker 1: e g. Giant hat I keep forgetting he's a celestial dragon,
- 8:56Speaker 1: So I'll take your word for it. Florian, that like
- 8:59Speaker 1: being one of those means that he knows about the
- 9:01Speaker 1: secrets of the Holy Land. I will say though that
- 9:05Speaker 1: I like wouldn't assume that he knew anything. By setting
- 9:12Speaker 1: aside that I forgot he's a celestial dragon. Even if
- 9:15Speaker 1: I remembered, I wouldn't assume that he is on the
- 9:20Speaker 1: inside of those secrets, because people can still be quite secretive,
- 9:24Speaker 1: even within secret societies and groups and whatnot, you know,
- 9:29Speaker 1: So him clearly wanting to be like the way that
- 9:34Speaker 1: his family was exiled and everything. I could see them
- 9:38Speaker 1: not sharing a lot of things with him. I don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: know how much of it, you know, do they have
- 9:44Speaker 1: secret standardized secret teaching that when you reach like seven
- 9:49Speaker 1: years old, they just begin to like walk you through
- 9:51Speaker 1: all of the Okay, so here's area fifty one where
- 9:55Speaker 1: the Aliens landed, and we're just going to show you
- 9:57Speaker 1: all this, you know what I mean. But anyway, what
- 10:01Speaker 1: I was gonna say was Marigeoi is not a place
- 10:06Speaker 1: that we have been before. Right. I know that we
- 10:10Speaker 1: landed on the Bubble Island where we had the slave
- 10:16Speaker 1: trade happening, and so that was the first place that
- 10:21Speaker 1: we actually found out about the celestial dragons and what
- 10:24Speaker 1: all was going on there. But I felt like when
- 10:30Speaker 1: we were going to Marigeois, I was like conflating the
- 10:35Speaker 1: bubble Island in Marigeois. And I can't remember the name
- 10:40Speaker 1: of the bubble island, but is it like sort of
- 10:43Speaker 1: an outpost of Mariegeois where we near this place? And Okay,
- 10:49Speaker 1: Florian is saying in the chat not really, so we
- 10:54Speaker 1: maybe kind of were near there. Basically, Florian says, this
- 10:58Speaker 1: is our first good look at it. Okay, do you
- 11:04Speaker 1: what is the name of the bubble Island, Florian, if
- 11:06Speaker 1: you can remember, it's like no pressure. But uh yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 1: this is just it's going to be a real different vibe.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And the thing that I was Sabodi, ah, thank you
- 11:21Speaker 1: Sabodi is is it's very like open that we have
- 11:30Speaker 1: the slave trade and that it's mermaids and fishmen. Right.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was sort of surprised that there are fishmen showing
- 11:42Speaker 1: up to the reverie because from what I was understanding
- 11:48Speaker 1: of how things worked, the celestial dragons are like completely
- 11:52Speaker 1: at the top of the pile the hierarchy, right, so
- 11:58Speaker 1: I thought the fishmen wouldn't be invited first of all,
- 12:03Speaker 1: but secondly would be like endangered at going. And I
- 12:11Speaker 1: feel like there is something about the way the slave
- 12:13Speaker 1: trade works that I'm forgetting that makes it sort of
- 12:17Speaker 1: like from what I remember, it's like, oh, fishmen used
- 12:23Speaker 1: to be traded as slaves, but technically that's legal now.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But also we definitely still do it and we're not
- 12:32Speaker 1: even really that much on the DL about it. So
- 12:36Speaker 1: is that what it is that like fishmen are technically
- 12:39Speaker 1: able to be treated as equals in a very public forum,
- 12:45Speaker 1: but they are actually still traded and treated like not
- 12:50Speaker 1: human beings. Well they're not human, but you know what
- 12:52Speaker 1: I'm saying, not as people. Okay, Florine is saying the
- 12:58Speaker 1: slave trade is no more official and then says, yeah, yeah, okay,
- 13:02Speaker 1: you know, forgive me, guys, I have to piece together.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It's such a weird thing with one piece because I'm
- 13:09Speaker 1: covering the Dressden Files with Rashaan, and there was a
- 13:13Speaker 1: new book that dropped, and you know, there was a
- 13:15Speaker 1: long pop break for a while before new books began
- 13:19Speaker 1: to come out. And in that time, I've done a reread,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but she hasn't, and she has forgotten a lot of
- 13:27Speaker 1: things that I have to remind her of, and I'll
- 13:29Speaker 1: actually be wrong in what I remind her of as well.
- 13:33Speaker 1: But she has had time to like go and do
- 13:37Speaker 1: a reread, and she hasn't. But I'm in this weird
- 13:40Speaker 1: place where I find myself feeling like she must feel
- 13:43Speaker 1: a lot of the time, except it's so much like
- 13:47Speaker 1: I am still in the main like series. There's not
- 13:55Speaker 1: time for me to go and do a complete rewatch,
- 13:58Speaker 1: and well, I guess I technically could, but you know
- 14:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying, So like a part of me is like, oh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: it's fine that you're forgetting things. Rashaan forgets things, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm like, it's not really the same situation though. Okay,
- 14:14Speaker 1: So so I'm not saying that this is going to happen,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but I'm saying like, if it does, I will have
- 14:22Speaker 1: an explanation for it. Of like, technically the fishmen are
- 14:27Speaker 1: here as representatives being treated with respect, but the way
- 14:32Speaker 1: they're actually treated is probably going to be like lots
- 14:38Speaker 1: of microaggressions and snubs and slights and little insults and stuff,
- 14:44Speaker 1: So that'll be super fun. The one thing that's weird
- 14:48Speaker 1: about it is that we have the Shira Hooshi like
- 14:55Speaker 1: being adored by everybody because she's beautiful and she's so humongous,
- 15:00Speaker 1: which apparently, you know, a lot of the people have
- 15:03Speaker 1: this kind of fetish. There are dudes presenting their sons
- 15:09Speaker 1: for marriage left and right when she turns up, because
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's like she's a princess, so she's an actual option.
- 15:16Speaker 1: And I know that this isn't exactly what the show
- 15:20Speaker 1: is interested in. But I just really would like to
- 15:23Speaker 1: know how this is supposed to work. I've had this
- 15:27Speaker 1: question a number of times with other properties where they're
- 15:32Speaker 1: supposedly interbreeding between giants and humans, and I am just like,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and how does that work? You're a ho. She It's
- 15:43Speaker 1: a really like it's a weird moment because on the
- 15:47Speaker 1: one hand, I'm like, yeah, you've got to be more
- 15:50Speaker 1: diplomatic because you are a public figure. But on the
- 15:54Speaker 1: other hand, I'm just so tired of women being told
- 15:57Speaker 1: to like be nicer about rejecting men. But she tells
- 16:01Speaker 1: all of the guys who are throwing themselves at her
- 16:03Speaker 1: that they're not her type, and they all are really devastated,
- 16:07Speaker 1: and one of them is like, how dare you humiliate me?
- 16:11Speaker 1: And I'm like, bruh, you just threw yourself at this
- 16:15Speaker 1: stranger in front of everybody. Is she didn't ask you
- 16:20Speaker 1: to do it in front of everybody? You decided to
- 16:23Speaker 1: do that. If you get humiliated, that's sort of on you.
- 16:26Speaker 1: None of this needed to be public, but you really
- 16:30Speaker 1: thought you would shoot your shot, and evidently sort of
- 16:33Speaker 1: thought you were going to be the only one. Also,
- 16:36Speaker 1: for some reason, Oh my god, Florian in the chat,
- 16:44Speaker 1: he wrote, she lays eggs and they jizz over it
- 16:48Speaker 1: like fish, and then it all kepts. Sorry, Florian, I'm
- 16:56Speaker 1: about to boot you out of here. I hate it.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's like that fucking Futurama episode. But now I've completely
- 17:10Speaker 1: lost my train of thought. Where what was I talking about? Guys?
- 17:13Speaker 1: I was talking about the fish people. Oh, Shira Hoshi
- 17:15Speaker 1: and how she rejected these guys, and her brothers are
- 17:19Speaker 1: being are like horrified at her, just saying you're not
- 17:22Speaker 1: really my type, and are like, you've got to say
- 17:25Speaker 1: it nicer than that. Oh, I couldn't possibly, I can't
- 17:29Speaker 1: choose between you all, and she's just like, but that's
- 17:33Speaker 1: a lie, and he says it's not a lie, it's redirecting.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Uh huh okay, sure, but yeah, the whole thing with
- 17:45Speaker 1: Shira ho she is that, you know, she hasn't been
- 17:48Speaker 1: to the surface before. So there comes a point where
- 17:51Speaker 1: she sees like a tree and points and asks is
- 17:54Speaker 1: that a forest? And so he has to be like, no,
- 17:58Speaker 1: it's just a tree, and I I really thought that
- 18:00Speaker 1: was funny. Eventually there is a point where she's like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: is that a forest and somebody's like, well, it's men
- 18:06Speaker 1: made but like, yeah, it is sure technically, but yeah,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I just Shira ho. She has this moment where she's
- 18:18Speaker 1: like really overwhelmed by the beauty above the surface and
- 18:25Speaker 1: is saying like, I want my people to get to
- 18:27Speaker 1: come out here and experience this with me. I want
- 18:31Speaker 1: everybody to get to sit under the sun. And there's
- 18:36Speaker 1: something about it that's sort of I mean, obviously you
- 18:39Speaker 1: can draw the parallels between her and like Ariel right
- 18:43Speaker 1: with I just want to but there's no sense of
- 18:45Speaker 1: her I want to be human. It's just wanting to
- 18:48Speaker 1: not be restricted to the dome under the sea anymore,
- 18:53Speaker 1: and considering the way that her people are treated, like
- 18:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure how aware of that she is. She
- 19:00Speaker 1: understands that potentially they could be in great danger, but
- 19:06Speaker 1: it under the water seemed so cool in its own
- 19:12Speaker 1: way that coming up to the surface and being like, ooh,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I'd rather be up here. I'm like very much Sebastian
- 19:20Speaker 1: singing under the sea right now, you know, Or I'm
- 19:22Speaker 1: just like why this way sucks? You know, You've got
- 19:26Speaker 1: all kinds of shit down there. It's fine, but she's young,
- 19:30Speaker 1: and anytime you do anything different at all, it really
- 19:35Speaker 1: feels like well, this is my entire personality and now
- 19:39Speaker 1: this is my thing, and I will do this, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: I will want this and only this and nothing will
- 19:43Speaker 1: ever you know what I mean. So I definitely had
- 19:47Speaker 1: a moment with her of just being like what why,
- 19:49Speaker 1: And then I remembered and I was like, oh, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: she's also like, you know, seventeen or however old she's
- 19:57Speaker 1: supposed to be. That makes sense. I'm kind of I'm
- 20:03Speaker 1: losing track here because I have to back up and
- 20:06Speaker 1: start from the beginning. But it's also it is so
- 20:09Speaker 1: much like recap of different plot points that we have,
- 20:14Speaker 1: you know, that have happened way way back, that it's
- 20:18Speaker 1: difficult going through narratively and following according to the plot beats.
- 20:27Speaker 1: But uh, the whole bit here with Garp because we
- 20:32Speaker 1: run into ooh help me out here, Florian, what is
- 20:38Speaker 1: Sabo's brother's name? This dude we had seen him? Stally
- 20:45Speaker 1: says Florian, thank you? Was he the guy that we
- 20:49Speaker 1: saw for a second, like coming into his hotel room
- 20:54Speaker 1: and being really shitty to the staff if Florian says
- 20:59Speaker 1: yes and caps okay. I was like, this dude is
- 21:02Speaker 1: looking very familiar, but I couldn't quite place him. Because
- 21:06Speaker 1: I knew we'd seen him as an adult recently and
- 21:10Speaker 1: it was just them arriving for the reverie. And this
- 21:15Speaker 1: dude fucking sucks. I mean, it's unsurprising. He's suck as
- 21:18Speaker 1: a kid and he grew up to be a sucky
- 21:20Speaker 1: adult and fucking what else is new? But the thing
- 21:26Speaker 1: that's really interesting here, like, first of all, he says
- 21:30Speaker 1: that he wants to be made into one of the
- 21:33Speaker 1: celestial dragons, which I don't think I knew that was
- 21:37Speaker 1: an option that somehow you could be inducted in. It's possible,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's not really an option. And this guy is just
- 21:45Speaker 1: like Lukey diluted. Because people will get like that, you know,
- 21:49Speaker 1: when they're just like obsessed with a certain whatever, like
- 21:54Speaker 1: whether it be like a band or a club at
- 21:57Speaker 1: school or whatever. They will think like, there's a way
- 22:01Speaker 1: in for me, and you're just like, no, sweetie, there
- 22:03Speaker 1: really isn't. So I don't know if that's something that
- 22:08Speaker 1: can actually be done or if he is just desperately
- 22:13Speaker 1: obsessed with the hierarchy and being at the very top
- 22:18Speaker 1: of the pyramid. I think it might be. Florien says,
- 22:24Speaker 1: Stelly looked it up. Thank you, florian. Sorry if Florian
- 22:29Speaker 1: also spelled looked it up with l ookt, which is
- 22:35Speaker 1: such a better way to spell looked in past tense.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I really prefer that. I don't like, I don't know
- 22:42Speaker 1: if that's your German coming through or what, but it
- 22:45Speaker 1: I look you want to start using that anyway. So
- 22:50Speaker 1: I am like, obviously, this is a dude who wants
- 22:55Speaker 1: to feel superior to everybody, and that's just who he is.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So it may be this isn't a possibility and he
- 23:02Speaker 1: is just telling himself a story because he wants to
- 23:05Speaker 1: be in the absolute upper echelons of society. But it's
- 23:11Speaker 1: also possible that there's like a function that I don't
- 23:14Speaker 1: know about by which you can rise high enough in
- 23:17Speaker 1: the social rankings to become a celestial dragon. I don't
- 23:20Speaker 1: know if, like maybe by marriage that's possible. I feel
- 23:25Speaker 1: like when we saw him come to his room, he
- 23:27Speaker 1: was with a woman, but I don't remember if that
- 23:29Speaker 1: was like a significant other or wife or what. But
- 23:36Speaker 1: he runs into Garp, who's Garp in it up. Garp
- 23:40Speaker 1: is unconcerned, calls him an annoying brat more than once,
- 23:47Speaker 1: just basically like insults him to his face in a
- 23:49Speaker 1: way that's extremely gratifying to me. And when he says
- 23:54Speaker 1: something about how he wants to be a celestial dragon,
- 23:57Speaker 1: Garp just blurts out, they're all scumbags, you know. And
- 24:01Speaker 1: then there's just a moment and he's like, oh, yeah,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I'm not supposed to say that. I take it back.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Oh I did find that very funny, the vague. I
- 24:14Speaker 1: take it back. But we get the flashback of everything
- 24:19Speaker 1: that went down between him and Sabo, which, you know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: having said in the earlier bit about there's a lot
- 24:26Speaker 1: of recapping, but it's not all bad. This was definitely
- 24:29Speaker 1: one of those things that I needed because you could
- 24:32Speaker 1: have said like, oh, yeah, that Sabo's brother, and I
- 24:34Speaker 1: would have been like, what, he had a brother. I
- 24:37Speaker 1: would not have remembered this at all, because this kid's
- 24:39Speaker 1: just very much like on the outer edges of the story,
- 24:45Speaker 1: you know, it's he's really somebody that we don't deal
- 24:48Speaker 1: with almost at all. Sabo has to go home before
- 24:51Speaker 1: we run into him, and Sabo very rarely is at home,
- 24:55Speaker 1: so this is and it's a weird thing as well.
- 24:59Speaker 1: In the flashback, reminded that like Sabo's mom is very
- 25:04Speaker 1: affectionate and sweet, towards Sabo himself in a way that's like,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I kind of want to like you, but also obviously
- 25:14Speaker 1: you're kind of a monster because you were willing to
- 25:17Speaker 1: go along with this, like, oh, let's just burn a
- 25:19Speaker 1: bunch of people of death, and you raised this absolute
- 25:25Speaker 1: horror show of a son. So yeah, I think that
- 25:30Speaker 1: I can safely set aside her actually being a decent person.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I am so interested. So Sabo is here with the
- 25:42Speaker 1: rest of the revolutionary army, evidently to attack the Reverie.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I'm not exactly sure what form this is going to take.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I am extremely here for it, though, Like what I
- 26:06Speaker 1: keep thinking of is Jeff Bezos' wedding. It's twenty twenty six.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Earlier this year, Jeff Bezos descended on what was it
- 26:19Speaker 1: Florence or I can't remember, guys, it's the one with
- 26:25Speaker 1: all the canals, Venice, Venice, the one with the canals
- 26:30Speaker 1: basically took over their entire economy for like a month
- 26:35Speaker 1: and a half for his enormous fucking wedding that he
- 26:40Speaker 1: had all of his extremely elite rich friends come to
- 26:44Speaker 1: and I say friends in the most pejorative way possible.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And it would have been the perfect time if somebody
- 26:57Speaker 1: wanted to do something. I'm not saying what they should
- 27:02Speaker 1: have done, or saying that it would have been a
- 27:06Speaker 1: good thing. God forbid. I'm just saying that it's certainly
- 27:14Speaker 1: a summit of a lot of the worst people that
- 27:17Speaker 1: exist and probably would have been for the greater good
- 27:23Speaker 1: in the end. The thing about what's going on at
- 27:27Speaker 1: the Reverie is that you've got some folks in the
- 27:32Speaker 1: mix here who aren't monsters, you know, And I mean
- 27:36Speaker 1: that would be true. I'm sure Venice, like the Venetians
- 27:41Speaker 1: actually were protesting the wedding because he was just having
- 27:45Speaker 1: such an outsized impact on their daily lives. So I
- 27:49Speaker 1: don't want any of them to be like mixed up
- 27:52Speaker 1: in this whole thing. But you know, we have the
- 27:56Speaker 1: reps from the Fishmen, We've got Vivi showing up with
- 28:01Speaker 1: her father, we have all of the people from Drum Island,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and these are all friends and allies and folks that
- 28:10Speaker 1: we like. So I don't want to just literally like
- 28:15Speaker 1: carpet bomb in the place, you know. But we also
- 28:19Speaker 1: have Woppole show up again. I will tell you what, kids,
- 28:26Speaker 1: the fact that Woppole's still alive sucks, so hard. I mean,
- 28:30Speaker 1: like I understood that people just don't really die. It's
- 28:39Speaker 1: also a weird thing with like I think, and I
- 28:44Speaker 1: may be wrong about this, so I don't know if
- 28:47Speaker 1: it's like a spoiler to tell me or not, but
- 28:50Speaker 1: I get the feeling that Oda is handling Loofy in
- 28:54Speaker 1: the way that like certain authors have handled Batman or Devil,
- 29:01Speaker 1: where it's like, yeah, they're a complete badass, but they
- 29:03Speaker 1: never actually kill anybody. They don't do that, you know,
- 29:08Speaker 1: So I think it's always meant to be Loofy defeated
- 29:12Speaker 1: the bad guy, but he didn't actually kill him. He
- 29:16Speaker 1: just rendered him unconscious and so defeated that there was
- 29:22Speaker 1: not going to be a way to recover again. And
- 29:28Speaker 1: that's totally fine. I'm not mad at it. I understand
- 29:34Speaker 1: wanting to handle things that way. But what Watpole says
- 29:41Speaker 1: is that Loofy punched him so hard that he flew
- 29:46Speaker 1: across the ocean and landed on some other island, which, uh,
- 29:55Speaker 1: that was pretty early in Lufy's journey. The idea idea
- 30:00Speaker 1: that that is what happened does beggar belief a little bit.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I'm not even sure that I would believe Loufy now
- 30:10Speaker 1: could do that versus that loofy. So it's sort of
- 30:18Speaker 1: thing where I'm like, I get that the author was like,
- 30:21Speaker 1: all right, well, I'm not gonna kill Woppole. And he
- 30:24Speaker 1: clearly can't just like be somewhere else on Drum Island
- 30:27Speaker 1: and wake up, because you just go back to his
- 30:29Speaker 1: old fucking tricks. So he has to have actually been
- 30:34Speaker 1: removed somehow. How do I do this? And this is
- 30:38Speaker 1: the best that he could come up with, But it
- 30:41Speaker 1: does feel a little bit weak sauce to me. I'm
- 30:44Speaker 1: not gonna lie. I feel like it's very much like
- 30:48Speaker 1: somehow Palpatine has returned, you know, and Woppole is just
- 30:55Speaker 1: like even more petulant than I remembered. He's making such
- 31:00Speaker 1: like petty stupid jokes at Vivi's expense. He's doing everything
- 31:07Speaker 1: short of like like thumbing his nose and going, you
- 31:12Speaker 1: know what I mean? And he's got a woman with him.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Is this woman new or is this somebody that we
- 31:20Speaker 1: have met before? She is fawning over him, And I
- 31:25Speaker 1: can't tell if it's like if it's somebody who really
- 31:31Speaker 1: is super into him, or if they have their own
- 31:34Speaker 1: angle that they're playing with all of this I cannot tell,
- 31:39Speaker 1: but Florian says new his new wife, first wife, question mark, lol,
- 31:47Speaker 1: future ex wife. She is very irritating. I think that
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm going to dislike her a lot, and I just
- 32:01Speaker 1: am I like, he also has this weird like beard
- 32:04Speaker 1: thing going on, because you know, he has that crazy jaw,
- 32:07Speaker 1: so now he's got like a beard growing. I don't
- 32:10Speaker 1: even know how that works. But uh, regardless, this dude
- 32:15Speaker 1: being here, he is just one of many shitty people
- 32:19Speaker 1: we see crocodile, I think at one point, or do
- 32:22Speaker 1: we or maybe that was just a flashback. I feel
- 32:26Speaker 1: like maybe that was just a flashback, because we get
- 32:28Speaker 1: all of like Vivi's, you know, the high notes of
- 32:32Speaker 1: her story. The fact that Walpole is even invited is crazy,
- 32:42Speaker 1: like what are you doing here? And eventually what's his
- 32:47Speaker 1: face shows up and is like, it's really sad that
- 32:50Speaker 1: you got back into power. And I'm assuming it's like
- 32:55Speaker 1: just by the force of his fucking devil fruit power
- 32:58Speaker 1: that he manages to pull this off. That it's like
- 33:01Speaker 1: a intimidation type thing. But based on the way his
- 33:08Speaker 1: wife is behaving, I'm like, it doesn't feel like she's
- 33:12Speaker 1: being bullied into being with him. It feels like she
- 33:15Speaker 1: is super into this maniac for reasons nobody can understand,
- 33:20Speaker 1: and I just don't. When we meet him, it's kind
- 33:25Speaker 1: of funny because he's like very obviously mocking Vivi. But
- 33:30Speaker 1: shiro Hoshi is right there and she's just like, oh, cool,
- 33:34Speaker 1: another friend of Loufy's. Because a lot of the interactions
- 33:38Speaker 1: people are having around here is just like, hey, oh
- 33:42Speaker 1: you that had this whole thing happen to them? Cool
- 33:46Speaker 1: and loofy am, I right, what a guy. And it's
- 33:49Speaker 1: just a lot of folks just sort of commiserating on
- 33:53Speaker 1: how much they like him and what he did for
- 33:56Speaker 1: them and the way that he saved them. So the
- 33:59Speaker 1: fact that she she sees this guy and is instantly
- 34:02Speaker 1: just like, oh yeah, one of Lufy's buddies was actually
- 34:05Speaker 1: quite funny, and I kind of I don't know that
- 34:08Speaker 1: this is like actually in the text, so to speak,
- 34:13Speaker 1: but I am sort of going with like Shira ho
- 34:16Speaker 1: she is so high up because she's so tall that
- 34:18Speaker 1: she's not even able to really hear the conversation normally,
- 34:22Speaker 1: so she's just getting like the bits and pieces of
- 34:26Speaker 1: what all Vivi and Woppole are saying to each other,
- 34:30Speaker 1: and she can't quite get enough to realize, like, oh no,
- 34:35Speaker 1: these people fucking loathe one another. Florien says, Woppole is
- 34:40Speaker 1: the king of a new slash other kingdom because of
- 34:43Speaker 1: his wife. She was queen and marry him. I don't
- 34:46Speaker 1: know why, but I guess she likes a strong jaw.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Oh god, Florien, my finger is hovering over that boot button. Man,
- 34:59Speaker 1: I'm about to in you guys. Just an aside. Florian
- 35:08Speaker 1: was contacting me earlier today about pre booking some episodes
- 35:12Speaker 1: and said something and I'd forgotten, Like a few weeks ago,
- 35:18Speaker 1: Austin Arminia was trying to pre book something and pointed
- 35:22Speaker 1: out that my fifteen percent pre booking fee results in
- 35:25Speaker 1: the episodes being sixty nine dollars each. And I never
- 35:29Speaker 1: clocked that because I always do it in bulk, so
- 35:32Speaker 1: I've never done it on the individual episode level before.
- 35:37Speaker 1: And Florian, when he's like talking with me about the
- 35:42Speaker 1: pre booking, He's like, right, so sixty nine dollars each,
- 35:44Speaker 1: And I was just like, does has everybody noticed this
- 35:47Speaker 1: except me? I can't believe I didn't see it. So yeah,
- 35:53Speaker 1: Florin in the chat, nice, Yeah, exactly anyway, Okay, sorry,
- 35:59Speaker 1: So I'm trying to see, like exactly what else, because like,
- 36:04Speaker 1: that's so much of what this is is us just
- 36:06Speaker 1: like touching base with people, and I am, like, I'm
- 36:12Speaker 1: not mad about it, but I do feel like I'm
- 36:14Speaker 1: not really sure what else to talk about because almost
- 36:18Speaker 1: all of the second episode is a recap of what
- 36:22Speaker 1: happened with Vivi and what happened with Rebecca as well.
- 36:27Speaker 1: And I think you guys all know I do not
- 36:32Speaker 1: give a shit about Rebecca one little bit. The fact
- 36:35Speaker 1: that she's here honestly sucks. I had forgotten that she
- 36:40Speaker 1: was like royalty, and so yeah, obviously we do have
- 36:47Speaker 1: a moment with viv and the fairies and she like
- 36:52Speaker 1: unintentionally insults Leo and then apologizes immediately and Leo chills
- 36:57Speaker 1: out completely. But the fairies being here is super fun.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I really really enjoy this. And evidently Carew is the
- 37:09Speaker 1: one who spotted Leo, and Leo says that he allowed
- 37:15Speaker 1: himself to be seen because he overheard the fact that
- 37:19Speaker 1: she was friends with Loofy and says, we are the
- 37:23Speaker 1: straw Hats subordinates, you know, and we're pirates too, And
- 37:31Speaker 1: I didn't remember that they identify as pirates. Do they
- 37:34Speaker 1: have a little ship. I don't remember how that goes
- 37:38Speaker 1: or is it just sort of in spirit? But they
- 37:41Speaker 1: are very adorable, these little guys. I'm glad to see
- 37:44Speaker 1: them again. There's got to be like figurines out there
- 37:48Speaker 1: of them. I bet I can't remember the name of
- 37:51Speaker 1: the like really cute girly one, but I would love
- 37:53Speaker 1: her hair comes all the way down to the floor,
- 37:55Speaker 1: you know. But yeah, this is when we're turns up
- 38:01Speaker 1: and is talking to viv about like, oh, let me guess,
- 38:06Speaker 1: lufy put it all on the line to try and
- 38:08Speaker 1: save you or save somebody or save your kingdom or whatever,
- 38:12Speaker 1: and she's just like, yeah, there's also the slaves and
- 38:17Speaker 1: the travel Leader. Is it called yeah, so the travel
- 38:24Speaker 1: the travel Lader thing in such a weird moment because
- 38:27Speaker 1: fucking what's his face, Stelly, despite like really wanting to
- 38:33Speaker 1: be a celestial dragon, he doesn't really know how all
- 38:39Speaker 1: this works and is attempting to be cool but showing
- 38:45Speaker 1: his ass repeatedly with how like nervous he is about
- 38:49Speaker 1: stuff and how uneducated he is about things. And there
- 38:55Speaker 1: comes a point where they're like walking and he is
- 38:58Speaker 1: really complaining about the fact that they are basically we're
- 39:01Speaker 1: doing an r Are we there yet? I think I
- 39:04Speaker 1: need a piggyback ride kind of thing. And the travel
- 39:12Speaker 1: lador is like, this, what do you call it? There's
- 39:18Speaker 1: I feel like this is sort of a similar thing.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Is what they have at the airport, you know what
- 39:22Speaker 1: I'm talking about. But he is put on this and
- 39:25Speaker 1: has like a moment of just like, oh, it's an earthquake.
- 39:29Speaker 1: And I was just like, dude, you have got to
- 39:31Speaker 1: calm down, Like how are you getting through life with
- 39:35Speaker 1: this attitude about literally everything? And when he says like
- 39:45Speaker 1: he's freaking out about it, but one of the men
- 39:48Speaker 1: there who is escorting them is like, oh, it's called
- 39:50Speaker 1: a travel lator. This is what the celestial dragons use.
- 39:54Speaker 1: He immediately is like oh, yes, yes, yes, well that's
- 39:58Speaker 1: obviously something that's for me then, because I'm one of
- 40:01Speaker 1: them and I will probably have some of these put
- 40:05Speaker 1: in where I live too, and then pronounces the name
- 40:08Speaker 1: of it wrong and the guy corrects him and he says, oh,
- 40:12Speaker 1: call it whatever you like. I suppose, like he's very
- 40:15Speaker 1: generously allowing this dude to call it something else because
- 40:20Speaker 1: I had a better name. Listen, whatever the case. So
- 40:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to find the moment because I thought that
- 40:29Speaker 1: was in the third of these three episodes, but I'm
- 40:32Speaker 1: thinking maybe it's a little bit earlier on. But yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 1: the attitude that he has about everything is just like
- 40:42Speaker 1: instant anxiety and kind of a freak out, followed by
- 40:48Speaker 1: I am too good for this, I'm too cool for you.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I already knew about it. You don't have to tell me.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I'm so rich and I'm practically a celestial dragon already,
- 41:00Speaker 1: so like, I'm already fully aware, and it's absolute. It's
- 41:08Speaker 1: embarrassing to watch because there are so many people like
- 41:11Speaker 1: this that don't want to admit that they don't know
- 41:13Speaker 1: about stuff, and it makes you look so much stupider
- 41:17Speaker 1: to not admit that you are in the dark. Just
- 41:21Speaker 1: tell somebody that you don't know what the fuck, and
- 41:25Speaker 1: even if it's a momentary like wow, I can't believe
- 41:28Speaker 1: you didn't know, that's fine. They'll get over it, you know,
- 41:33Speaker 1: And maybe if you're worried about the impression that you're making,
- 41:39Speaker 1: you don't need to like instantly start screaming about how
- 41:42Speaker 1: it's an earthquake and somebody needs to protect you. Et cetera,
- 41:45Speaker 1: et cetera. What I'm getting from uh Whatss's face Delly
- 41:56Speaker 1: is essentially like Helmepo vibes way back at the beginning,
- 42:05Speaker 1: Like Helmepo has become a little bit more chill, you know,
- 42:09Speaker 1: But at this point, I feel like he's come a
- 42:15Speaker 1: long way and we can call him an ally and
- 42:17Speaker 1: a friend, but this is definitely the way that he
- 42:22Speaker 1: was coming off initially. And there's actually like kind of
- 42:26Speaker 1: a similarity between him and Hewmepo's hair. They both have
- 42:34Speaker 1: like a kind of a weird bob thing going on.
- 42:40Speaker 1: It's very funny to me, how like a certain hair
- 42:43Speaker 1: style or whatnot. Clothing choices, et cetera, are just sort
- 42:48Speaker 1: of an indicator of things in different what's the word
- 42:54Speaker 1: I want, in different cultures, you know what I'm saying. Like,
- 42:59Speaker 1: the the type of bob that they've got is a
- 43:07Speaker 1: particular look that I don't feel like anybody in America
- 43:11Speaker 1: ever sports, So it's not something that we really associate
- 43:16Speaker 1: with nerdiness other than it doesn't look good. But what
- 43:21Speaker 1: I think when I see it is that it's sort
- 43:23Speaker 1: of the equivalent of like a shitty bowl cut, where
- 43:27Speaker 1: you just don't know like as soon as you see it,
- 43:32Speaker 1: you're like, oh, no, this person I'm about to deal
- 43:35Speaker 1: with is a real weirdo on some level. Let's see. Sorry,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I just got to the part here. This thing that
- 43:44Speaker 1: is going up the side of the mountain, what is it?
- 43:47Speaker 1: It's like all I said it like a thing that
- 43:52Speaker 1: they have at the airport. And I feel like I
- 43:54Speaker 1: was completely misrepresenting this when I said that, because what
- 43:57Speaker 1: I was thinking of was like the they have like
- 44:00Speaker 1: individual trains, so to speak, but this is much more
- 44:04Speaker 1: like one of those things that you ride to not
- 44:08Speaker 1: when you're skiing, not a ski lift, but they have
- 44:12Speaker 1: like observatory type cars that are like fully closed with
- 44:16Speaker 1: seats inside insulated so that you can like look at
- 44:20Speaker 1: the mountains and it takes you to the top of
- 44:22Speaker 1: the mountain where there's probably restaurants and stuff like that.
- 44:25Speaker 1: And I'm trying to remember what these are called, but
- 44:28Speaker 1: it's uh got that kind of vibe, except it's like
- 44:31Speaker 1: fully vertical. And yeah, this is when he begins to
- 44:36Speaker 1: freak out. And then there's this uh one of the
- 44:40Speaker 1: giants like pokes his head out of the uh wall
- 44:45Speaker 1: of stone and he's like, did anybody see that? He
- 44:49Speaker 1: was in the wall. There was a giant looking out
- 44:51Speaker 1: at us, and everybody around him is like, dude, you
- 44:55Speaker 1: sound insane. Are you on something? What are you fucking
- 44:59Speaker 1: talk talking about? And I do kind of enjoy the
- 45:02Speaker 1: fact that he's out here, just like completely fine with
- 45:07Speaker 1: sounding bonkers. So they're on this, and then all of
- 45:12Speaker 1: a sudden, all of these crows show up, which Shirajhi
- 45:21Speaker 1: is totally cool with. She's just like, oh, these birds,
- 45:23Speaker 1: they're so cute and sorry, I just saw gondola, says Florian. Yeah,
- 45:33Speaker 1: maybe that's it. Maybe it is a gondola. Stelly says,
- 45:38Speaker 1: if they peck at the bubble, it'll pop and we'll
- 45:41Speaker 1: be gone, ers go away, which I'll be honest, I
- 45:44Speaker 1: know that, Like we've got bubbles all over the place,
- 45:46Speaker 1: and this thing has a big bubble in it, so
- 45:48Speaker 1: he should have realized that's what's holding it all up.
- 45:50Speaker 1: But I was one hundred percent of like interpreting the
- 45:54Speaker 1: bubble as like a domed window. So when he said that,
- 45:58Speaker 1: I was just like, oh, oh shit, Okay, Actually I'm
- 46:03Speaker 1: not really mad at him for being nervous about it
- 46:05Speaker 1: in that respect. So at this point, he says to
- 46:11Speaker 1: the guy standing next to him who's a knight in armor,
- 46:17Speaker 1: do your job and kill these birds, and the knight
- 46:22Speaker 1: just says, you'll be fine, and he lifts his advisor
- 46:26Speaker 1: and it's fucking Sabo under there. And Sabo be in
- 46:33Speaker 1: here with this dude, like it's gotta be really weird.
- 46:40Speaker 1: I don't know if he targeted him specifically because there's
- 46:46Speaker 1: like bad blood, or if he's like, oh, I know him.
- 46:51Speaker 1: He's real dumb and he won't clock that somebody is
- 46:54Speaker 1: here who shouldn't be. I'm taking it for granted that
- 46:59Speaker 1: they're not in on this together because I don't think
- 47:01Speaker 1: there's any possible way that's true. But I'm still trying
- 47:07Speaker 1: to figure out what exactly it is that Sabo is planning,
- 47:10Speaker 1: because I know he's just really here for the celestial dragons,
- 47:13Speaker 1: like that's the big fish. But what I can't figure
- 47:19Speaker 1: out is how he's going to make that happen. And
- 47:23Speaker 1: there's a bigger planet play because we cut back to
- 47:29Speaker 1: Koala and what's the name of the lady with the
- 47:33Speaker 1: revolutionary ability who's got our titties out? They're talking about
- 47:39Speaker 1: like the I don't want to say necessarily the ethics
- 47:45Speaker 1: of what they're about to do with attacking this place
- 47:48Speaker 1: so much is almost like the pr of it that
- 47:51Speaker 1: it kind of doesn't look great, or that they're one
- 47:54Speaker 1: could argue it's not honorable. It's a way that they
- 47:58Speaker 1: are approaching things. The pump pump lady says Florian. Is
- 48:04Speaker 1: that what people call her because they jerk off to
- 48:06Speaker 1: her all the time? That makes sense? But yeah, so
- 48:11Speaker 1: sorry bad joke, But uh, I'm just trying to like,
- 48:17Speaker 1: is there any insight that they have on the way
- 48:24Speaker 1: the building is set up? Do they know about do
- 48:27Speaker 1: they know about the giant straw hat? Like, even if
- 48:31Speaker 1: they did, what does that matter? I don't know what
- 48:33Speaker 1: function that that performs. So are they here to like
- 48:40Speaker 1: steal it or destroy it or what? I can't imagine?
- 48:45Speaker 1: Why is it frozen? Why is it secret? Why is
- 48:50Speaker 1: it so big? Like? Just a lot of questions with that.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Oh and I wanted to mention this it was so funny, guys,
- 49:01Speaker 1: So y'all know that I love the crow guy who
- 49:03Speaker 1: I'm assuming that's who that was? All those crows showing
- 49:07Speaker 1: up were That was one of Sabo's associates colleagues. I
- 49:12Speaker 1: was gonna say henchman, but not really because he's not
- 49:15Speaker 1: in charge of the guy. I wouldn't say, but uh,
- 49:18Speaker 1: I recently have been like cleaning out some areas in
- 49:22Speaker 1: my house and I found something that I gave to
- 49:25Speaker 1: Marshall as like a stocking stuffer, and it's an emergency
- 49:31Speaker 1: crow sound effect thing that I gave him as like
- 49:36Speaker 1: something to accompany when he is the DM for like
- 49:40Speaker 1: role playing games. So this dude's showing up. I just
- 49:45Speaker 1: kind of want to like that's labeled as rattle. The
- 49:50Speaker 1: first one was a caw. This is called angry. Okay,
- 49:56Speaker 1: that sounds pretty mad. And this is called murder, which
- 50:01Speaker 1: means a group of them if you didn't know. So
- 50:11Speaker 1: I'm just gonna keep that right here. I don't really
- 50:14Speaker 1: have a plan for it, but suffice to say, I'm
- 50:18Speaker 1: trying to find one. I'm trying to think of something.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Florian says, Karasu is his name? Okay, cool, I'm gonna
- 50:27Speaker 1: try karasuh. And what's another thing you mentioned something earlier? Oh,
- 50:34Speaker 1: Fukuboshi is the Mermaid prince. And he is like, this
- 50:36Speaker 1: ain't right, and I don't know I like him for
- 50:38Speaker 1: that yet he knows something. He's just looking around, just
- 50:42Speaker 1: kind of like why does it feel off? And honestly,
- 50:48Speaker 1: the answer is any place that you go that there
- 50:51Speaker 1: are enough rich people who have power, it's not really
- 50:55Speaker 1: gonna feel right because it's an unnatural state. So I
- 51:00Speaker 1: know that he is sensing something beyond that, but to
- 51:04Speaker 1: a degree, that's just what it be like. And I
- 51:09Speaker 1: don't say this as somebody who has ever been part
- 51:11Speaker 1: of the in crowd. I say this as somebody who
- 51:14Speaker 1: is distinctly part of the outside. But I have worked
- 51:19Speaker 1: in places with really wealthy people and encountered them in
- 51:25Speaker 1: ways that reminded me that I'm not one of them,
- 51:29Speaker 1: in no uncertain terms, that they don't see me as
- 51:32Speaker 1: one of them. Even if I were to, like somehow
- 51:34Speaker 1: come into money, I still really wouldn't be one of them.
- 51:38Speaker 1: And so I feel like going looking around and being
- 51:42Speaker 1: like something about this ain't right is just like the
- 51:44Speaker 1: right response in general to being surrounded by this type
- 51:48Speaker 1: of person. You guys, Okay, look, I know this is
- 51:51Speaker 1: off topic, but loo key, there's like I feel like
- 51:55Speaker 1: I've covered most things that are new other than talking
- 51:59Speaker 1: about like the hat which I and look, I really
- 52:02Speaker 1: do want to mention again the guys swimming with all
- 52:05Speaker 1: the hams. I don't know what they're doing. Is this like,
- 52:12Speaker 1: are they sneaking the hams in for somebody? Is a bribe?
- 52:15Speaker 1: What is going on? This is all impelled down, and
- 52:18Speaker 1: like the narrator says something about the underwater level of
- 52:22Speaker 1: the prison. So I don't know if this is just like, oh,
- 52:26Speaker 1: those were just prisoners doing underwater work that the prisoners
- 52:31Speaker 1: always do, or if this is something that's like specific,
- 52:36Speaker 1: but it just looked crazy. Florian says, they bring in
- 52:42Speaker 1: food into the prison. We saw them back when Lufy
- 52:45Speaker 1: was there as well. Okay, well, I'll just say that
- 52:49Speaker 1: there has to be a better solution than dudes just
- 52:52Speaker 1: jumping into the water in their uniform and carrying an
- 52:57Speaker 1: uncovered ham above their heads through what I'm assuming is
- 53:02Speaker 1: absolutely filthy water. Can we get just some fucking cling
- 53:08Speaker 1: wrap or a tupperware perhaps, you know, can we perchance
- 53:16Speaker 1: build a choote and maybe a conveyor belt and avoid
- 53:21Speaker 1: the fucking water altogether. I obviously had better things to
- 53:26Speaker 1: think about when we were in the impell down section,
- 53:28Speaker 1: because I don't remember this, but I'll mention it now
- 53:31Speaker 1: since I do have the time. But what I was
- 53:33Speaker 1: about to say the story I was about to tell you, guys,
- 53:37Speaker 1: I am currently like trying to be better about accepting
- 53:42Speaker 1: that the house I'm in I will be in for
- 53:45Speaker 1: a while and so I should take better care of
- 53:47Speaker 1: it than I do, which is resulting in me attempting
- 53:51Speaker 1: some remodeling on my own. I can't hire anybody. I
- 53:55Speaker 1: have to figure it out and do it myself. And
- 53:58Speaker 1: I was looking at these photos and I found a
- 54:02Speaker 1: photo of this beautiful wallpaper with a paint color that
- 54:05Speaker 1: I had already selected. And this is all leading to us,
- 54:09Speaker 1: like the conclusion of this story is when you're reminded
- 54:13Speaker 1: that you're not only not rich, but you don't have
- 54:17Speaker 1: it in you and you're just like, it's almost like
- 54:21Speaker 1: there are different species. I'm looking at this wallpaper and
- 54:24Speaker 1: I did like an image search to find who sells it,
- 54:28Speaker 1: and I find the wallpaper and it's sold by the role.
- 54:33Speaker 1: One role is two and a half by ten feet. Okay.
- 54:42Speaker 1: One role of this wallpaper was seven hundred dollars. And
- 54:51Speaker 1: it was just one of those moments where I literally
- 54:55Speaker 1: thought I was like on the Norwegian version of the
- 54:57Speaker 1: site and that it was just like the wrong current
- 55:00Speaker 1: or I was reading it wrong. Or something. I just
- 55:03Speaker 1: had a moment where my brain looked at that number
- 55:05Speaker 1: and was like, that cannot possibly be right. And as
- 55:10Speaker 1: I began to poke further in, I was like, oh,
- 55:12Speaker 1: and that's not even their highest price wallpaper, so that
- 55:18Speaker 1: it was just one of those moments of like, this
- 55:21Speaker 1: is a level of luxury that wouldn't even occur to me.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I can understand luxury in building a house with lots
- 55:30Speaker 1: of different, like specific features detailing that you know, you
- 55:35Speaker 1: might need to hire a designer or an artist, but
- 55:39Speaker 1: it would never ever occur to me that wallpaper could
- 55:43Speaker 1: be seven hundred dollars a roll. If I were trying
- 55:47Speaker 1: to wallpaper my office using that, it would cost me
- 55:52Speaker 1: probably about four grand. And I just can't. I just
- 55:57Speaker 1: you know, so anyway, Fukuboshi, I think you could be
- 56:03Speaker 1: excused for just feeling like something's wrong with this place.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I feel like the wallpaper's too expensive, you know, if
- 56:11Speaker 1: it's just that, yeah, it's insane. I'm not mad at
- 56:16Speaker 1: you for feeling like that's crazy. And I don't know
- 56:20Speaker 1: if what he's feeling is like simply the inequality of
- 56:26Speaker 1: the place, or if he is getting the sense that
- 56:29Speaker 1: they are looked down on. I would have thought he
- 56:31Speaker 1: knew that already, but you know, maybe he didn't know
- 56:36Speaker 1: the extent of it, or if he is like sensing
- 56:42Speaker 1: the giant hat, which I have genuinely no idea why
- 56:47Speaker 1: he would or what that means or anything, So it
- 56:52Speaker 1: could just be also like a sort of instinctual thing
- 56:55Speaker 1: where it's not really anything in particular, you'd just get
- 56:59Speaker 1: some time. I's like a fucking gut feeling. I don't
- 57:02Speaker 1: like it here. Something's weird about this place, you know.
- 57:07Speaker 1: So anyway, Okay, I feel like I've covered everything. If
- 57:11Speaker 1: I've forgotten anything, forgive me, guys. This is just such
- 57:14Speaker 1: a weird section because like I have to scroll quickly
- 57:18Speaker 1: through the recaps, but the recap parts are sometimes interspersed
- 57:22Speaker 1: with little like new in the present conversations. I'm trying
- 57:27Speaker 1: to like scroll slowly through so I don't skip them.
- 57:30Speaker 1: But I probably did miss something. But anyway, I am
- 57:36Speaker 1: really curious what the fuck, so we will see. I
- 57:40Speaker 1: appreciate you all so much for listening. Thank you Florian
- 57:44Speaker 1: for commissioning this episode. Oh Sarah, I missed it and
- 57:46Speaker 1: it's just showing up. Sorry, SERAPHM And until next time.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Did the Loo motherfuckers, that was an unspoiled network past
