- 1:07Speaker 1: you guys, yes, I am doing a live Juicy Scoop
- 1:10Speaker 1: in Las Vegas at the Venetian. I'm so excited and
- 1:14Speaker 1: it will be November 4th, which is Saturday of, you know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: the biggest weekend for the Bravo fans. It will be
- 1:21Speaker 1: happening then. But you'll be going to Juicy Scoop Con
- 1:24Speaker 1: that Saturday night at 9 p.m. Hopefully, the tickets for
- 1:28Speaker 1: the public will be available at heathermcdonald.net on Friday, which
- 1:33Speaker 1: is tomorrow. If you are part of Patreon or you

- 1:42Speaker 1: with the codes that I reveal on that latest episode
- 1:46Speaker 1: that I did. If not, wait till Friday. Hopefully, there'll
- 1:50Speaker 1: still be tickets left. This is super juicy. Unfortunately, they
- 1:53Speaker 1: are not allowing me to stream it because it is
- 1:55Speaker 1: so juicy. So only the people that will be sitting
- 1:58Speaker 1: in the seats will be able to see. And it
- 2:02Speaker 1: makes me extra excited because it really means we can
- 2:04Speaker 1: just talk about what the hell we saw that weekend,
- 2:07Speaker 1: what is going on in pop culture, what is happening.
- 2:10Speaker 1: No holds barred. Nobody is going to see it except
- 2:13Speaker 1: for the people in there, and they won't be able
- 2:14Speaker 1: to film it or anything. So I'm really, really excited.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Please check that out. Of course, this weekend I'll be
- 2:20Speaker 1: in Irvine. at the Irvine Improv, two shows Friday, two
- 2:23Speaker 1: shows Saturday, and then a live Juicy Scoop, which I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: getting very excited about, with your favorite girls, Brandy and Julie,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and that is on this Sunday. So everything is at heathermcdonald.net. Okay, guys,
- 2:37Speaker 1: this is the juiciest lawsuit, and it is proving to be,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I think, going to be very hard for Lizzo to
- 2:46Speaker 1: recover from. um so let me just get into you
- 2:49Speaker 1: may have heard about it Lizzo has been sued by
- 2:52Speaker 1: three of her former dancers slash employees and it is
- 2:57Speaker 1: really bad the things that they um write in this
- 3:01Speaker 1: lawsuit makes her look to be an awful person and
- 3:06Speaker 1: I can't believe that these um dancers had to go
- 3:08Speaker 1: through it so let me just like walk you through
- 3:10Speaker 1: it because there's so much info it broke yesterday Tuesday
- 3:14Speaker 1: and um So listen, anyone can file a lawsuit. However,
- 3:19Speaker 1: most attorneys don't take on a lawsuit unless they think
- 3:23Speaker 1: that they can win it. And the way they realize
- 3:25Speaker 1: they can win it is they really investigate what you're
- 3:27Speaker 1: claiming and why you should sue. And they did a
- 3:32Speaker 1: press conference, two of the girls that are suing, and
- 3:36Speaker 1: everything has been laid out in the lawsuit, which is public.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So I'm gathering all the information I have. And then,
- 3:42Speaker 1: of course, I'm going to get into The fact that
- 3:44Speaker 1: some other people that are not part of the lawsuit
- 3:46Speaker 1: that have worked for Lizzo and performed with Lizzo are
- 3:51Speaker 1: really kind of yes-anding this info and saying that was
- 3:54Speaker 1: my experience too. So three former tour dancers, Ariana Davis,
- 4:00Speaker 1: Crystal Williams, and Noel Rodriguez, have sued singer Lizzo and
- 4:03Speaker 1: her company Big Girl Big Touring Inc. for sexual harassment.
- 4:08Speaker 1: racial and religious discrimination, and creating a hostile work environment,
- 4:13Speaker 1: degrading sexual behavior, and forced to participate in disturbing sex
- 4:18Speaker 1: shows during a trip to Amsterdam in February 2023. So
- 4:23Speaker 1: let's just start with that because that is like the weirdest.
- 4:26Speaker 1: So in just this past February, they were on tour
- 4:30Speaker 1: and Lizzo said, let's go to the Amsterdam Red Light
- 4:34Speaker 1: District live sex show. Let's all go. And the girls
- 4:40Speaker 1: are now saying, you know, they kind of felt like
- 4:42Speaker 1: even if they didn't want to, they had to go
- 4:44Speaker 1: and they had to hang out and party and be
- 4:46Speaker 1: part of it. Otherwise, there was this feeling if you
- 4:49Speaker 1: didn't participate that your job could be in jeopardy. I've
- 4:52Speaker 1: been in a situation like that. And yeah, you don't
- 4:55Speaker 1: want to be the one that, you know, doesn't go
- 4:57Speaker 1: to the next party after, miss all the scoop, possibly
- 5:00Speaker 1: we talked about, and then look as you're not a
- 5:05Speaker 1: good time, you're not participating. However, this is pretty disturbing.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So they go to the Amsterdam thing and it's called,
- 5:12Speaker 1: this place called Bananen Bar, but banana is in the
- 5:18Speaker 1: name because what she wanted was for her dancers to
- 5:23Speaker 1: participate in this live sex show. And she made them
- 5:27Speaker 1: touch the nude dancers. She wanted them to eat the
- 5:32Speaker 1: banana from a woman who inserted it inside of herself.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I mean, so gross. And they really felt like they
- 5:39Speaker 1: were forced. It was uncomfortable. Absolutely awful. The lawsuit states,
- 5:45Speaker 1: things quickly got out of hand. Lizzo began inviting cast
- 5:47Speaker 1: members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos
- 5:51Speaker 1: launched from the performers' vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from
- 5:55Speaker 1: the performers' vaginas. That is what the lawsuit says. Lizzo
- 5:59Speaker 1: then turned her attention to Ariana Davis and began pressuring
- 6:02Speaker 1: Miss Davis to touch the breasts of one of the
- 6:04Speaker 1: nude women performing.
- 6:05Speaker 2: At the club.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Now, Charlene Quigley is the captain of Lizzo's dance team,
- 6:12Speaker 1: and they are saying that she also forced her religious
- 6:16Speaker 1: beliefs on the plaintiffs and took repeated actions that made
- 6:20Speaker 1: them uncomfortable, including commenting about their sexual virginity. So one
- 6:25Speaker 1: girl was a virgin, and this woman who was like,
- 6:29Speaker 1: always talking about Jesus and being super Christian, was like
- 6:32Speaker 1: obsessed with it. But then at the same time, the
- 6:35Speaker 1: lawsuit says that this same woman would talk about her
- 6:38Speaker 1: fantasies and would take a banana, but not in Amsterdam,
- 6:43Speaker 1: another banana and act like she was doing sex acts
- 6:46Speaker 1: with it and all these things. And then be like, oh,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you shouldn't be thinking about sex or masturbating, but something
- 6:53Speaker 1: happened to me today. So talking a lot about sex
- 6:56Speaker 1: while they're trying to work and be in and, you know,
- 6:59Speaker 1: just made them very uncomfortable. The other thing that they
- 7:03Speaker 1: did was one day, according to the lawsuit, allegedly Lizzo
- 7:09Speaker 1: was like, you know what? I just, I think that
- 7:11Speaker 1: you guys were drinking last night, which they claim they weren't.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And therefore we're going to have a re-audition. And she
- 7:17Speaker 1: just worked them for 12 hours straight. And they couldn't
- 7:21Speaker 1: go to the bathroom. And one girl was like, I
- 7:23Speaker 1: have to pee. I have to pee. And she was
- 7:24Speaker 1: basically made to feel like if she left to pee
- 7:26Speaker 1: that she would lose her job. And so she ended
- 7:28Speaker 1: up having to soil herself. And that's where the part
- 7:32Speaker 1: of the lawsuit comes in with false imprisonment is what
- 7:35Speaker 1: they're also claiming, that they were like false imprisoned. I mean,
- 7:38Speaker 1: this is just, this is really, really, really bad. Then
- 7:45Speaker 1: this is also very interesting. The lawsuit claims that Big Girl,
- 7:48Speaker 1: Big Turing Company, treated the black members of the dance
- 7:52Speaker 1: team differently than the other members accused. including accusing black
- 7:56Speaker 1: dancers of being, quote, being lazy, unprofessional, and having bad attitudes,
- 8:01Speaker 1: while none of these same allegations were leveled against the
- 8:05Speaker 1: white dancers who are not black. They said the management
- 8:08Speaker 1: team was predominantly white, and this is what they were feeling.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Lizzo allegedly suspected that the dance team, like I said,
- 8:17Speaker 1: to an excruciating re-audition. This was just in April.
- 8:21Speaker 2: So, I mean.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And then at the end of it, they were fired.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Two of the girls that are part of the lawsuit
- 8:28Speaker 1: were fired. And they said due to budget cuts was
- 8:33Speaker 1: why they said they were fired. But Lizzo aggressively approached Ms. Rodriguez,
- 8:38Speaker 1: cracking her knuckle, bawling her fist and exclaiming, quote, you're lucky.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You're so fucking lucky. And then stuck both middle fingers
- 8:46Speaker 1: up and said, bye, bitch. And that's the way she
- 8:49Speaker 1: was fired. And it was in front of other people.
- 8:51Speaker 1: So that adds to, you know, just the humiliation. So,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I mean, my God. And then there was lots of
- 9:01Speaker 1: things that came out, you know, on all social media saying,
- 9:05Speaker 1: just reminding us of some of the other awful things
- 9:08Speaker 1: that Lizzo has done. Now, Lizzo became so popular because
- 9:11Speaker 1: she was body positive. She didn't look like every other diva.
- 9:15Speaker 1: She didn't have a body like Beyonce.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:17Speaker 1: But she was fun, and she was sassy, and of
- 9:18Speaker 1: course she can create and perform great songs. Then she
- 9:22Speaker 1: had this show that was about big girls, and everyone
- 9:26Speaker 1: loved that too, that big girls that were not your
- 9:28Speaker 1: typical dancer bodies but could totally dance. She was featuring
- 9:31Speaker 1: them on her show, and she did a documentary about
- 9:36Speaker 1: hiring them. Well, now there is this one woman named
- 9:41Speaker 1: Sophia who was going to be the director of this
- 9:44Speaker 1: documentary called She has put out on her social media
- 9:49Speaker 1: about how this is what she experienced when she was
- 9:52Speaker 1: going around with Lizzo for two weeks. And she said,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I've never been around someone who is so arrogant and
- 9:59Speaker 1: pompous and troublemaker. people so badly that after two weeks,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I decided, you know what? I don't want this job
- 10:05Speaker 1: directing your documentary. I don't care how good it is
- 10:08Speaker 1: for my career. You're, you know, a nightmare. I'm paraphrasing.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But basically, so she's like saying, hey, whatever these girls
- 10:16Speaker 1: are saying based on my opinion, I'm going to believe them.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Then Lizzo's former creative director also shared support for the lawsuit.
- 10:26Speaker 1: This girl is named Quinn Wilson. And she said, for clarification,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm not part of the lawsuit, but this was very
- 10:33Speaker 1: much my experience in my time there. Big shout-outs to
- 10:36Speaker 1: the dancers who had the courage to bring this to light.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And basically the two girls in their press conference are like,
- 10:42Speaker 1: We have decided to come forward because we just don't
- 10:44Speaker 1: think anyone else should ever be treated like this. And
- 10:48Speaker 1: we need to, like, warn the future dancers of Lizzo. Now,
- 10:53Speaker 1: Lizzo has not made a statement. It's only been, you know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: 24 hours since this has come out. She has not
- 11:00Speaker 1: gone on her Instagram or said anything. Now, the other girl,
- 11:04Speaker 1: the girl who they said was pushing her Christianity and
- 11:08Speaker 1: her religion on the girls... She did a quick post
- 11:12Speaker 1: right when it came out, just like in her car.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And she was just like, well, I feel blessed and
- 11:18Speaker 1: the spirit's with me. And, you know, very, so that's
- 11:22Speaker 1: very bizarre. So these are all the things. Also, the
- 11:24Speaker 1: other things that has come out is Beyonce had a
- 11:33Speaker 1: part of her song, she's on tour right now, where
- 11:36Speaker 1: In the song, she says a bunch of names, including
- 11:39Speaker 1: Erykah Badu. And she also said Lizzo. Like, these are
- 11:44Speaker 1: all these great, iconic, you know, black female singers. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: last night, after the news broke, someone, you know, filmed
- 11:53Speaker 1: the concert. And we saw that she changed the name.
- 11:56Speaker 1: She eliminated Lizzo's name from the song and just said
- 12:00Speaker 1: Erykah Badu, Erykah Badu, Erykah Badu, Erykah Badu. Now, also...
- 12:05Speaker 1: I don't know if that was because she was giving
- 12:06Speaker 1: an extra tribute to Erykah Badu because Erykah came forward
- 12:11Speaker 1: and said, put like two side-by-side outfits of her with
- 12:15Speaker 1: this big hat on and Beyonce and kind of was like, oh,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I guess I'm everybody's stylist now. And I didn't know
- 12:21Speaker 1: if it was like, thanks girl. Like you kind of
- 12:23Speaker 1: want to get it out. Like I did it first,
- 12:26Speaker 1: but I'm not really mad about it. I'm like, oh,
- 12:29Speaker 1: don't you have good taste? But wink, wink, just so
- 12:32Speaker 1: you guys know, I wore this like, 20 years ago.
- 12:37Speaker 1: And Beyonce being like, you're right, girl, you're the queen.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It could have been that. But it also could have been, oh,
- 12:43Speaker 1: isn't this convenient? I'm going to give a little extra,
- 12:45Speaker 1: you know, props to Erykah Badu. And I'm going to
- 12:50Speaker 1: leave out Lizzo. Yesterday was JLo's birthday, her 54th birthday.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And she did some bikini shots. And she promoted her
- 12:59Speaker 1: alcohol line. And she was dancing on a table with
- 13:02Speaker 1: all her friends. To Lizzo. And I saw it come
- 13:09Speaker 1: through the feed of whatever. She put it out on
- 13:12Speaker 1: her social media. And she had the Lizzo song going.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And I was like, well, she's probably enjoying her day.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And everyone's probably just focused on her birthday. And this
- 13:21Speaker 1: is the song they're dancing to. And they put it out.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So it's going to be one of those things where
- 13:25Speaker 1: now you're going to... And I looked to see if
- 13:28Speaker 1: anyone in the comments got that like, oh, really, J-Lo?
- 13:31Speaker 1: You don't know what's going on with Lizzo? But yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 1: for the hardcore Lizzo fans, this is a really hard
- 13:39Speaker 1: pill to swallow. I mean, again, you can say, let's
- 13:42Speaker 1: wait and see. The fact that there's three of them
- 13:46Speaker 1: all experiencing the same thing, they will probably get depositions
- 13:50Speaker 1: from other dancers that might have been present when the
- 13:54Speaker 1: girl was forced to pee in her pants or when
- 13:56Speaker 1: she was fired or when they were at the Amsterdam thing.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And if they get deposed, even if they're still working
- 14:03Speaker 1: for Lizzo and want to stay working for Lizzo and
- 14:07Speaker 1: didn't mind and had a great time eating the banana
- 14:09Speaker 1: and like love every minute of it, they're going to
- 14:12Speaker 1: have to tell the truth. At least they should. So
- 14:17Speaker 1: we'll see. Now, could this all just get settled right away?
- 14:21Speaker 1: I don't know. The only thing I found is that
- 14:24Speaker 1: they're asking for $ 75, 000. So it's not an outrageous amount.
- 14:30Speaker 1: But I think that they wanted to come forward versus
- 14:33Speaker 1: going to her and trying to just settle out of court.
- 14:38Speaker 1: They clearly were like, you know what? We want the
- 14:42Speaker 1: world to know. So we don't want to settle out
- 14:44Speaker 1: of court and sign an NDA. We want the world
- 14:46Speaker 1: to know what a horrible bitch she was to us.
- 14:49Speaker 1: And I don't know. I mean, I've always liked her.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I've always liked her music. Oh, a couple other things
- 14:55Speaker 1: that we were reminded of in the last 24 hours
- 14:57Speaker 1: is when she Was awful to the DoorDash person. Let
- 15:01Speaker 1: me remind you of this story. Lizzo ordered DoorDash while
- 15:05Speaker 1: she was at a hotel. She went on her social
- 15:07Speaker 1: media and she's like, this is the DoorDash person. She
- 15:10Speaker 1: had the person's name or whatever from the app. She
- 15:14Speaker 1: stole my food. The DoorDash person claims, and I guess
- 15:18Speaker 1: it was proven to be true, that she went to
- 15:20Speaker 1: the hotel and because Lizzo didn't call down and say, hi,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm expecting DoorDash. Please allow her to come up to
- 15:26Speaker 1: my room 806.
- 15:26Speaker 4: The....
- 15:29Speaker 1: The hotel didn't know. She probably used like a fake name.
- 15:32Speaker 1: No one could figure it out. And after 10 minutes,
- 15:34Speaker 1: the DoorDash girl had to go without delivering the food,
- 15:36Speaker 1: without receiving a tip. Then the DoorDash girl starts to
- 15:40Speaker 1: get attacked by all of Lizzo's people because she put
- 15:43Speaker 1: it out there exposing this poor girl. So that was
- 15:45Speaker 1: really screwed. Another person came forward on social media saying, um,
- 15:50Speaker 1: I worked at a lounge in which the bill was $ 3, 000
- 15:53Speaker 1: and she tipped a hundred. So there's just been a
- 15:56Speaker 1: lot of things she had, um, People wondered if there
- 16:00Speaker 1: was a beef with Taylor Swift at all or that
- 16:02Speaker 1: she was just kind of coming for Taylor Swift, though
- 16:05Speaker 1: I always feel like Taylor would just be above it.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And people thought that because somebody at Lizzo's concert had
- 16:12Speaker 1: a sign saying, I didn't go to Taylor Swift so
- 16:15Speaker 1: I could go to you. And out of all the signs,
- 16:17Speaker 1: Lizzo picked that up and showed it. And people thought
- 16:21Speaker 1: that was sort of like a diss, like not really
- 16:23Speaker 1: supporting another female performer instead of, you know, letting that
- 16:27Speaker 1: go or being like, hey, you could go to both
- 16:29Speaker 1: or whatever. That's my girl. Nothing like that. So there's
- 16:32Speaker 1: something kind of weird there. And like with the Beyonce thing,
- 16:37Speaker 1: who knows if they were ever friends or if this
- 16:39Speaker 1: was just part of the song because Lizzo is so
- 16:41Speaker 1: beloved until yesterday. And since until yesterday, she was really,
- 16:47Speaker 1: really beloved. So that just very weird. We'll see what happens.
- 16:53Speaker 1: We'll see. what happens with these girls. But I mean, I,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I mean, I think this is really, really bad. It
- 17:01Speaker 1: reminded me though, it reminded me of when Madonna had
- 17:04Speaker 1: her documentary truth or dare. One of the first documentaries
- 17:08Speaker 1: we ever saw, it was black and white and it
- 17:11Speaker 1: was her on the road. She was only 30 and
- 17:14Speaker 1: her dancers are 31 and her dancers were 20. It
- 17:18Speaker 1: was a truth or dare, uh, to her. And they
- 17:21Speaker 1: were all gay. And, you know, that was kind of
- 17:23Speaker 1: interesting to see because at the time we probably knew
- 17:25Speaker 1: they were gay, but people weren't like out and living
- 17:27Speaker 1: their gay life back then. And there was a lot
- 17:30Speaker 1: of sexual talk and everything and hanging out, but never any,
- 17:37Speaker 1: you know, nothing like this bullying and abuse of it. Oh,
- 17:40Speaker 1: you know, it reminds me of also, okay, a little
- 17:43Speaker 1: juicy scoop, Bravo history. Do you remember when in Real
- 17:48Speaker 1: Housewives of Dallas, they went to Thailand and they went
- 17:51Speaker 1: to the red light district. And I can't remember which
- 17:54Speaker 1: housewife had an issue with it, but they went and
- 17:57Speaker 1: they were like, they didn't bring cameras, but they're like, Oh,
- 18:01Speaker 1: we're going to go and see this show where the
- 18:03Speaker 1: ping pong things happen. And then later on people like
- 18:06Speaker 1: that is really weird. And you know, and one didn't
- 18:10Speaker 1: want to go or one said I wasn't comfortable going. And,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, I think going forward, no, if
- 18:17Speaker 1: you're going to go to these shows, which you have
- 18:19Speaker 1: every right to go and, sex workers in other countries
- 18:21Speaker 1: can do what they want or hear. But yeah, I
- 18:24Speaker 1: definitely would not force, even if you guys think you're
- 18:27Speaker 1: best friends, again, it's very hard when you're on tour,
- 18:30Speaker 1: whether you're comedians or dancers or singers or on a
- 18:33Speaker 1: reality show and you're on tour or traveling, it's really
- 18:38Speaker 1: hard for you to be like, wait, stop. This is
- 18:40Speaker 1: a work experience. I did my dancing and I would
- 18:45Speaker 1: like to go home and take a shower and not
- 18:47Speaker 1: go to the red light district and eat bananas with you, Lizzo.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I really wouldn't.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I hope that means I can still have my job tomorrow.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of 20-something-year-old dancers who are
- 18:57Speaker 1: on a huge tour are having the time of their
- 18:59Speaker 1: life when everybody else is going in the van to
- 19:02Speaker 1: go to the place, whether it's just getting a drink
- 19:05Speaker 1: after or a regular nightclub or an uncomfortable sex situation.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I think it's really hard to be like, nope. I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: done for the day. I did my duty. I'll see
- 19:15Speaker 1: you at eight tomorrow.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Goodbye.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And not have that possibly affect the vibe, which then affects,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know what? Maybe I don't need to see that,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you know, big bummer over there coming on my next
- 19:28Speaker 1: tour when the rest of the people tell me how
- 19:30Speaker 1: great I am, eat the bananas and touch the new
- 19:33Speaker 1: dancers when I say and do whatever I want. And,
- 19:37Speaker 1: you know, so it sounds like she was one of
- 19:40Speaker 1: those type of people. So we'll see.
- 19:42Speaker 2: She's still.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Extremely talented, but we'll see how long this takes and
- 19:46Speaker 1: what the rest of the attitude is and how her
- 19:49Speaker 1: fans react. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift gave $ 50 million in bonuses
- 19:55Speaker 1: to everybody that worked on her tour, from the top
- 19:58Speaker 1: people to the dancers, to the truck drivers, to the electricians.
- 20:02Speaker 1: It equaled $ 50 million. And of course the tour made
- 20:06Speaker 1: a whole lot, but that's always a really nice thing
- 20:09Speaker 1: to do And it was also really smart to get
- 20:11Speaker 1: that out to the public because when people give big bonuses,
- 20:17Speaker 1: oftentimes it gets leaked somehow and you wonder, how did
- 20:19Speaker 1: that get leaked? But you know what? It's still very
- 20:21Speaker 1: nice and everyone loves Taylor. It's good for her. Meanwhile,
- 20:24Speaker 1: Cardi B, who we talked about on the last show.
- 20:27Speaker 1: threw the mic at the girl, not even the one
- 20:29Speaker 1: that threw the water at her after she said, splash
- 20:32Speaker 1: water on me, splash water on me. Later on, a
- 20:35Speaker 1: girl splashed water, but it hit her in her face.
- 20:36Speaker 1: She didn't like that. She threw the mic and it
- 20:38Speaker 1: hit this other girl. And the other girl did report
- 20:44Speaker 1: it to the police. So I assume there'll be a
- 20:47Speaker 1: battery charge and maybe she's getting an attorney. We'll see.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I'm sure Cardi B will just want to settle that
- 20:54Speaker 1: and make that go away. But the microphone is now
- 20:58Speaker 1: on sale for sale on eBay, according to TMZ. Cardi
- 21:02Speaker 1: B's microphone from Las Vegas Toss for sale on eBay.
- 21:06Speaker 1: So if you want it, you can have it.
- 21:10Speaker 6: From morning swims in Sandy Cove to coffee in Ranala
- 21:13Speaker 6: or walks along Sandy Mount Strand. At a certain point,
- 21:17Speaker 6: where you live shapes how you live. Maybe you want
- 21:20Speaker 6: more space, a shorter commute, or simply somewhere that feels
- 21:23Speaker 6: more like where you are now. On daft.ie, you can
- 21:27Speaker 6: explore the most sought-after homes for sale across South Dublin.
- 21:31Speaker 6: When you're ready for the next chapter, start with Ireland's
- 21:34Speaker 6: number one property platform.
- 21:38Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 21:41Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 21:44Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 21:49Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 21:51Speaker 6: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 21:54Speaker 5: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 21:57Speaker 5: filed against me.
- 21:58Speaker 6: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:00Speaker 6: what would you do if it was given back?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 22:05Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 22:08Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 22:09Speaker 4: I need a home dad.
- 22:10Speaker 1: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 22:17Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 22:20Speaker 3: happens next.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You're worth the work.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 22:29Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 22:43Speaker 1: Okay, let me just, this is moving to some good
- 22:47Speaker 1: news coming from a sad story. Lori Vallow, worst mother
- 22:52Speaker 1: on earth, talked a lot about it on this show.
- 22:55Speaker 1: This is the woman who was on trial for killing
- 23:00Speaker 1: her two kids, and she has gotten life sentences. She's
- 23:05Speaker 1: been convicted of murdering her two children, Tylee and JJ,
- 23:08Speaker 1: and conspiring to kill her husband's first wife, Tammy. She
- 23:11Speaker 1: has been sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. And she
- 23:17Speaker 1: was convicted of the plot that stemmed from the bizarre
- 23:20Speaker 1: doomsday prophecy. So she thought her kids were zombies. She
- 23:23Speaker 1: thought the world was ending on July 11th of like
- 23:27Speaker 1: two years ago. And, you know, she thought she was
- 23:31Speaker 1: a goddess. She denied murdering her children. And she said
- 23:36Speaker 1: she had a near-death experience all this time. So it
- 23:38Speaker 1: was just weird. But here's the five most disturbing things
- 23:42Speaker 1: that she said since she was arrested. Lori on the murders.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Jesus Christ knows the truth of what happened here. Jesus
- 23:52Speaker 1: Christ knows that no one was murdered in this case.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Accidental deaths happen. Suicides happen. Fatal side effects from medication happen.
- 24:02Speaker 1: This is what she said. Lori on her ability to
- 24:05Speaker 1: communicate with the dead. Quote, Because of these communications, I
- 24:09Speaker 1: know for a fact that my children are happy and
- 24:12Speaker 1: busy in the spirit world. Because of my communications with
- 24:15Speaker 1: my friend Tammy, I know she is also very happy
- 24:18Speaker 1: and extremely busy. Tammy is the wife of the guy, Chad,
- 24:25Speaker 1: who is also, I don't know if he's been convicted yet,
- 24:27Speaker 1: but Chad was her husband, her fourth or fifth husband.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Tammy was his wife. Tammy died mysteriously. But she said,
- 24:37Speaker 1: it's okay. Tammy and I are friends and she's really
- 24:39Speaker 1: happy not to be on the spirit world. So that's great.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Then Lori on her mission from Jesus. I was told
- 24:46Speaker 1: by Jesus that I needed to go back and complete
- 24:48Speaker 1: things I had promised to do before I was born.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So that's why she was doing all this stuff. God,
- 24:52Speaker 1: you guys. Lori on her children visiting her from the grave.
- 24:56Speaker 1: She literally said this. Lori said about Tylee. she commanded
- 25:02Speaker 1: me and she said to me, stop worrying mom. We
- 25:05Speaker 1: are fine. She knows how I worry, but she's happy
- 25:10Speaker 1: and just very busy in heaven. My daughter's just, she's
- 25:13Speaker 1: so busy in heaven. And then on JJ, she said
- 25:17Speaker 1: that JJ came to her and said, you didn't do
- 25:20Speaker 1: anything wrong, mom. I love you. I know you loved
- 25:23Speaker 1: every minute of my life. And then Lori claimed that
- 25:26Speaker 1: JJ is now an adult spirit and he was very tall.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I mean, I'm, I didn't follow the trial as much
- 25:35Speaker 1: as I followed as we were like, why the hell
- 25:37Speaker 1: is this woman not arrested? So I guess she didn't
- 25:42Speaker 1: even– I don't know if she even tried to say
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'm insane, which would have been my defense. But maybe
- 25:49Speaker 1: she really believes this and she's not– I don't know.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I guess they decided she wasn't insane. Who cares? She's
- 25:55Speaker 1: doing life in prison, which is what we all wanted.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So good. You guys, the Canadian– president, Justin and Sophie Trudeau,
- 26:05Speaker 1: Canada's first couple, they are getting divorced after 18 years.
- 26:10Speaker 1: They just said, you know, they just did the typical
- 26:13Speaker 1: thing that everybody does in Hollywood. We had a mature talk.
- 26:18Speaker 1: We've decided to split up. We are going to raise
- 26:21Speaker 1: the kids together in a loving way. They're in fact
- 26:23Speaker 1: going on vacation together right now with the kids. but
- 26:29Speaker 1: they're divorcing. And I do think that's really pretty juicy
- 26:33Speaker 1: because never in our American presidencies has there ever been
- 26:39Speaker 1: a divorce announced while somebody was sitting in office. In fact,
- 26:45Speaker 1: I don't think any president, I mean, unless we're going
- 26:49Speaker 1: back to the night like 100 years ago, but in
- 26:51Speaker 1: my lifetime, no president has ever gotten divorced while in
- 26:55Speaker 1: office or after leaving office. It's just kind of interesting
- 26:59Speaker 1: that I don't know when the next Canadian election is.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I don't know if it's years away, but I would
- 27:05Speaker 1: think most people who are unhappy would maybe try to
- 27:07Speaker 1: fake it or stay together until something is big, but
- 27:10Speaker 1: maybe it doesn't really matter in 2023. And they're like, good,
- 27:13Speaker 1: we're so glad you're being mature about it. Half the
- 27:15Speaker 1: people in the world get divorced. There's nothing to be
- 27:17Speaker 1: ashamed of, whether you're leading a country or you're just
- 27:20Speaker 1: an average guy.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:22Speaker 1: But he is pretty attractive. And he's very well liked.
- 27:27Speaker 1: And so could this be someone for Meghan to pursue
- 27:33Speaker 1: if anything was to happen with her and Harry? We've
- 27:37Speaker 1: been talking a lot about it. I saw that they're
- 27:39Speaker 1: on the cover of People magazine, people speculating. Meanwhile, Meghan,
- 27:45Speaker 1: like we talked about, is probably really enjoying the fact
- 27:49Speaker 1: that Suits is doing huge business for Netflix right now.
- 27:54Speaker 1: It really was not– it was like a likable show,
- 27:56Speaker 1: but it was on the USA Cable Network, which I
- 27:59Speaker 1: think is gone now. And this is what a lot
- 28:01Speaker 1: about what The Strike is about is how do the
- 28:05Speaker 1: residuals work when a show that's run its course on
- 28:09Speaker 1: another network then gets picked up by Netflix and they say, oh,
- 28:13Speaker 1: we have this many billions of– it said– they do
- 28:17Speaker 1: it by how many minutes are watched. So they said 2.49
- 28:20Speaker 1: billion minutes of watch time. So that needs to be
- 28:26Speaker 1: converted into a residual way versus the old way where
- 28:30Speaker 1: they'd be like, oh, a million people watched this rerun
- 28:34Speaker 1: or whatever, and therefore you get this much. And then
- 28:37Speaker 1: each time it replays, you get a little less and
- 28:39Speaker 1: this and that. So that's one of the things they
- 28:42Speaker 1: really need to figure out with this SAG and Writer's
- 28:45Speaker 1: Guild strike. But I mean, all these people are loving
- 28:48Speaker 1: the show. And so there's a little bit of talk
- 28:51Speaker 1: that they might do like a reboot, which... I really
- 28:55Speaker 1: think if that's the case, she should come back. That
- 28:57Speaker 1: would be interesting. We'll see. Meanwhile, though, her life of
- 29:03Speaker 1: hanging out with A-listers and being invited to stuff seems
- 29:07Speaker 1: to be dwindling down because she was not at Serena
- 29:12Speaker 1: Williams' baby shower. I think this is pretty significant of
- 29:17Speaker 1: a friendship that wasn't really that strong to start with
- 29:20Speaker 1: and has definitely dwindled down. Maybe there was a specific
- 29:24Speaker 1: reason or maybe Serena pulled away, didn't answer so many calls,
- 29:27Speaker 1: didn't want to lend her jet or her home to
- 29:30Speaker 1: her anymore. And then the shower came and she's like,
- 29:33Speaker 1: oh my God, I can't believe if she was ever approached.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I can't believe you were invited, Megan.
- 29:38Speaker 4: My.
- 29:40Speaker 1: My assistant put this together. I mean, obviously I'm overwhelmed
- 29:43Speaker 1: and pregnant. If Megan was to ever be like, what
- 29:46Speaker 1: the fuck? But she probably knew that she got the
- 29:48Speaker 1: brush off and has moved on. But it is kind
- 29:51Speaker 1: of crazy because, um, back in 2019, Williams helped organize
- 29:56Speaker 1: Megan Markle's baby shower. at the Mark Hotel in New York.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That was a big deal when she took all her
- 30:02Speaker 1: friends to New York and that's when they were still
- 30:06Speaker 1: part of the monarchy and everything. And the pair became
- 30:11Speaker 1: fast friends when they met for the first time at
- 30:12Speaker 1: the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami. So they were friends
- 30:16Speaker 1: before she became the princess or before she started dating.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Harry.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So she went to the royal wedding. And she went
- 30:26Speaker 1: and saw her at the U.S. Open the following year.
- 30:30Speaker 1: But then when they stepped back from royal duties, it
- 30:32Speaker 1: sort of seemed like it was still good because right
- 30:36Speaker 1: at the beginning of that, when she was getting the
- 30:40Speaker 1: Meg exit and all that, Serena did write, Megan Markle,
- 30:45Speaker 1: my selfless friend, lives her life and leads by example
- 30:48Speaker 1: with empathy and compassion and Serena tweeted that on the
- 30:51Speaker 1: eve of the couple's tell-all with Oprah Winfrey. So up
- 30:55Speaker 1: until that point, I feel like everything was good until
- 30:58Speaker 1: this Netflix doc. And then, like I said, it's just
- 31:02Speaker 1: not popular, not stink. But maybe the next event, now
- 31:06Speaker 1: that she's getting to be popular again, maybe people really
- 31:09Speaker 1: loving Suze this much. I don't know if it's going
- 31:11Speaker 1: to make them like Meghan as a person anymore, but
- 31:15Speaker 1: Who knows? We'll see if she's like, I can't believe
- 31:17Speaker 1: you didn't get the invitation to my baby shower. I've
- 31:19Speaker 1: been watching Suits. Girl, come over. Let's hang out.
- 31:24Speaker 2: We'll see.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Okay. This is a crazy story. Another woman has been
- 31:31Speaker 1: arrested for plotting to kill her husband. And this is
- 31:35Speaker 1: a Georgia woman. She was arrested in the Bahamas. And
- 31:38Speaker 1: she and her husband met at Auburn University. She was
- 31:41Speaker 1: a cheerleader there. He was on the football team. And
- 31:47Speaker 1: what happened was they got married. They had kids and
- 31:51Speaker 1: they on social media. They're just like the cutest family
- 31:54Speaker 1: with three kids. And according to all of this, she,
- 31:59Speaker 1: the husband found out that she was seeing somebody else.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Robert did. And he filed for divorce. And then shortly
- 32:06Speaker 1: after she filed divorce. So this is what happened. She's 38. No,
- 32:13Speaker 1: Robert is 38, and she's 36. Two men, Terrence Bethel,
- 32:17Speaker 1: who's 28, identified by the outlet as Lindsay's lover, and
- 32:24Speaker 1: Farron Newbold, were also arrested. So all three of them, Lindsay, Terrence,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and Farron, have been arrested in the Bahamas. Local police
- 32:33Speaker 1: unearthed texts that detailed the plot while they searched a
- 32:36Speaker 1: phone of the suspected burglar at Bethel. Grabber's Bar and
- 32:40Speaker 1: Grill in this Bahamas area earlier this month. So they
- 32:46Speaker 1: got this phone from this robber and then somehow put
- 32:51Speaker 1: it all together by reading that and realized that there
- 32:54Speaker 1: was a plot going to happen to kill Lindsay's husband.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Robert and Lindsay own a house in the Bahamas near
- 33:00Speaker 1: where she met her alleged lover, this Terrence Bethel. And
- 33:04Speaker 1: a source familiar with the case told this outlet that
- 33:09Speaker 1: Robert Shriver, who was a snapper for the Auburn Tigers
- 33:13Speaker 1: from 2006 to 2008, had filed for divorce when he
- 33:16Speaker 1: learned that his wife was involved in a romantic relationship
- 33:19Speaker 1: with this guy. And also, Lindsay is just like Miss Perfect.
- 33:24Speaker 1: She was Miss Houston County in 2005, and then she
- 33:27Speaker 1: finished second in the National Peanut Festival pageant that year.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I mean.
- 33:35Speaker 1: You know who was also in pageants? Rachel from Banner Pump.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Rachel Raquel. Not saying every pageant person is a murderer, obviously,
- 33:44Speaker 1: but it's a little weird. So they met. Her social
- 33:52Speaker 1: media just shows that they had the greatest life. Anyway,
- 33:56Speaker 1: they are right now, all three of them, in a
- 33:59Speaker 1: prison in a jail in the Bahamas. Their court date
- 34:04Speaker 1: is not till October. They can appeal to be let
- 34:08Speaker 1: out on bail, but they, that hasn't happened yet. So
- 34:12Speaker 1: the details of it all, you know, but thank God
- 34:15Speaker 1: the guy is safe. But I can't believe that, you know, I,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I mean, these, these murder plots though, without, it's always like,
- 34:26Speaker 1: if they're so, they honestly are really kind of hard
- 34:28Speaker 1: to prove. which is weird because I'm like, well, just
- 34:31Speaker 1: because you weren't successful at it doesn't mean that you shouldn't,
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know, be convicted in the nth degree. But you
- 34:37Speaker 1: can always, it's always the defense is always like, he
- 34:40Speaker 1: did that without me. I had no idea he was
- 34:43Speaker 1: doing that. I, you know, so it's like, they're going
- 34:46Speaker 1: to have to like turn on each other. Otherwise she's
- 34:48Speaker 1: going to be like, oh my God, you know, yes,
- 34:51Speaker 1: I complained to my lover about how awful Robert was
- 34:54Speaker 1: and how, you know, how difficult it was going to
- 34:57Speaker 1: make my life and how he's trying to take the
- 34:58Speaker 1: kids or whatever. And he took it upon himself to
- 35:02Speaker 1: plan this murder of my husband. I had no idea.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Take me out. So we don't have how much evidence
- 35:08Speaker 1: they have on her. So that'll be really interesting to see.
- 35:15Speaker 1: But God, I mean, really? And he's like, he played
- 35:18Speaker 1: professional ball a little bit. Now he's like, president of
- 35:21Speaker 1: some insurance company. If they have an extra home in
- 35:23Speaker 1: the Bahamas, they obviously live a pretty nice, wealthy life.
- 35:27Speaker 1: And so she could say, oh my God, this guy
- 35:29Speaker 1: that I had this affair with, I had no intention
- 35:32Speaker 1: of marrying him. Yes, I cheated on my husband, but
- 35:35Speaker 1: I mean, I'm terrified. I mean, what if he's going
- 35:37Speaker 1: to kill me next? He just might be trying to,
- 35:40Speaker 1: you know, he wanted to kill my husband so that
- 35:42Speaker 1: we'd be together and I would have all the money.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I never wanted, I mean, But I'm thinking if they
- 35:48Speaker 1: arrested her, there's got to be some strong phone messages, notes,
- 35:53Speaker 1: something that puts her in there where she was like, yeah,
- 35:57Speaker 1: let's do this. This is where he's going to be
- 35:59Speaker 1: on this day. Just crazy. Little update on Lenny, everyone's
- 36:05Speaker 1: favorite plastic surgeon, not favorite plastic surgeon, Lenny of Real
- 36:11Speaker 1: Housewives of Miami. So somebody wrote under his engagement, which
- 36:15Speaker 1: he posted on his social media. which I'm sort of
- 36:18Speaker 1: surprised it's still public, tells me he really does like
- 36:22Speaker 1: this attention, even though it's a lot of hate. And
- 36:26Speaker 1: I did have someone say that he is very in
- 36:28Speaker 1: demand to get the boob jobs, that you can't even
- 36:32Speaker 1: meet him in person. The first consultation is just sending
- 36:35Speaker 1: photos to see if he wants it. So he is
- 36:37Speaker 1: in demand. He does a lot of boob jobs, and
- 36:39Speaker 1: he probably has a lot of investments. He's obviously wealthy.
- 36:43Speaker 1: But someone wrote... why the ring look fake. And Lenny
- 36:49Speaker 1: commented back to this person, why you look like a dude. What?
- 36:55Speaker 1: Lenny is saying that under comments. Why are you being
- 36:58Speaker 1: so messy, dude? Like, are you kidding me? You're actually
- 37:01Speaker 1: talking back to someone who commented? Anyway, this is the
- 37:05Speaker 1: ring and it is huge and it is gorgeous. And
- 37:10Speaker 1: according to page six, this 12-carat jewel could cost up
- 37:14Speaker 1: to $ 1 million, maybe even $ 1. 5. Last year, Lisa, his
- 37:19Speaker 1: soon-to-be ex-wife, showed off the upgraded ring Lenny gave her,
- 37:23Speaker 1: and that ring was estimated at $ 750, 000. So the ring
- 37:28Speaker 1: that the new fiancé has is approximately twice the price
- 37:32Speaker 1: of the last ring he gave to his former wife-to-be.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Current wife, but soon-to-be former wife. So good for you.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I mean, are you kidding me with this? Gabby from
- 37:44Speaker 1: The Bachelorette. You remember Gabby? She's real cute. She was
- 37:48Speaker 1: the one that then she and the other girl who
- 37:52Speaker 1: both got to the end of the line, they then
- 37:55Speaker 1: did it together and were bachelorettes together. I didn't really
- 37:58Speaker 1: watch that season. Anyway, she's gay. She came out. She
- 38:02Speaker 1: has a girlfriend who's a comedy writer, and they're thrilled.
- 38:05Speaker 1: And Gabby, I'd love for you to come on Juicy
- 38:07Speaker 1: Scoop and talk about your journey. Because she did get
- 38:09Speaker 1: engaged to the guy at the end of her journey
- 38:13Speaker 1: when she was co-bachelorette. And then they ended it after
- 38:17Speaker 1: two months. And now she's happily in love with this
- 38:22Speaker 1: comedian who's a comedy writer, which I kind of like.
- 38:26Speaker 1: And they look happy. So that's juicy. Meanwhile, Kylie, according
- 38:30Speaker 1: to TMZ, Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet are still dating.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Still dating. Still dating. We've never seen a photo. We've
- 38:37Speaker 1: never heard anything. I don't know. I think this is
- 38:39Speaker 1: the fakest romantic relationship I've ever heard. And I really
- 38:43Speaker 1: feel like the buzz is just not happening about the
- 38:47Speaker 1: Kardashians as much, which who cares? But I mean, I
- 38:52Speaker 1: just think this is the fakest relationship. I need to
- 38:55Speaker 1: see them actually making out at a dinner. So listen
- 38:58Speaker 1: to me, Kardashian, Timothy Camp. You guys need to... If
- 39:02Speaker 1: this is real, then... Let's see you really out. And
- 39:07Speaker 1: if it's not real, but you want us to be real,
- 39:09Speaker 1: then you need to go out and do like a
- 39:11Speaker 1: fake kiss, a fake walk, go to Target, tell the
- 39:14Speaker 1: paparazzi to catch you pumping Kylie's gas, something. Because this
- 39:19Speaker 1: seems very BS. All right. Before I get to my
- 39:24Speaker 1: juicy interview, I want to remind you guys that Chris
- 39:26Speaker 1: Franchola and I are coming to Red Bank, New Jersey
- 39:29Speaker 1: on August 9th. Then we're going to the Foxwood Casino
- 39:33Speaker 1: in Mash and Tuckett, Connecticut on August 11th. August 12th
- 39:39Speaker 1: is Huntington, New York, Long Island. So definitely go to that.
- 39:44Speaker 1: This is all with Chris. And then I'm going to
- 39:47Speaker 1: be at the West Hamptons Beach Theater in New York.
- 39:49Speaker 1: in New York, of course, the Hamptons, on August 18th.
- 39:54Speaker 1: All of these dates are at heathermcdonald.net, including the Vegas
- 39:58Speaker 1: one on November 4th, and of course, this weekend at Irvine.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Now I'm very excited to have a very juicy interview
- 40:05Speaker 1: with Kimberly Archie, who's got all the scoop on the
- 40:07Speaker 1: latest with Erika Jayne and what is going on with
- 40:11Speaker 1: their latest meeting and what really went down. Here we go.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I have returned guest Kimberly Archie From the scandal of
- 40:20Speaker 1: all scandals, what is the housewife and the hustler? You've
- 40:24Speaker 1: been on, I think this might be your fourth time.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Welcome back. And you have some real juicy scoop. There's
- 40:32Speaker 1: been some major changes from the beginning of the story.
- 40:37Speaker 1: So this is about Tom Girardi. And let's just update
- 40:42Speaker 1: a little bit to the people that are just listening
- 40:45Speaker 1: quick of who you are and your history with Tom.
- 40:49Speaker 1: And with some of the victims and where you are today.
- 40:53Speaker 2: Well, I was a legal consultant for Tom primarily on
- 40:58Speaker 2: sports injury cases for a number of years. A lot
- 41:01Speaker 2: of people heard of the NFL concussion case. I worked
- 41:03Speaker 2: on that. I met Tom when my friend Kathy Regomez came.
- 41:10Speaker 2: who a lot of people know her son, Joe R. Gomez,
- 41:12Speaker 2: as the burn victim from The Housewife and The Hustler
- 41:15Speaker 2: and all the articles, when they hired Tom for their
- 41:19Speaker 2: case when they were involved in the San Bruno gas explosion.
- 41:23Speaker 2: And then from there, sort of, here we are today.
- 41:27Speaker 1: So when it was all going down, when it first began,
- 41:32Speaker 1: which was somewhere during COVID or whatever, Somehow someone let
- 41:37Speaker 1: me know about you or I saw your Twitter and
- 41:41Speaker 1: we started corresponding and I was like, can we talk
- 41:43Speaker 1: on the phone? And you said yes. And I'm like,
- 41:45Speaker 1: would you be willing to come in?
- 41:48Speaker 2: I was scared at first.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 2: It took me a little bit to say, okay, all right,
- 41:53Speaker 2: I'll do it.
- 41:53Speaker 1: And in the previous interviews that you've done with me,
- 41:56Speaker 1: you know, we got to kind of see what the
- 41:58Speaker 1: life was like. working for Tom, that he was very
- 42:03Speaker 1: generous to you, as many people around him, employees or whatnot,
- 42:09Speaker 1: as you delivered your work for him. And then there was,
- 42:15Speaker 1: you know, you said there was some suspicions of if
- 42:17Speaker 1: everything was really on the up and up. And what
- 42:20Speaker 1: an awful position to be in then when you realize
- 42:24Speaker 1: that while you're working for him, And your best friend,
- 42:28Speaker 1: who's been through hell and back, is his client.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:32Speaker 1: And then when you first realized that things may not
- 42:35Speaker 1: be on the up and up, they had already been
- 42:38Speaker 1: awarded their money?
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, yeah. They had already been awarded their money.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Which was $ 11 million? How much was that?
- 42:44Speaker 2: Well, they had a confidential settlement. But what they ended
- 42:48Speaker 2: up fighting about, you know, in the end was this missing,
- 42:51Speaker 2: you know, $ 11 million. Oh, okay. Got it.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:54Speaker 1: And okay, so a lot has happened since then. And
- 42:57Speaker 1: Erika Jayne is now, I don't know if they're, are
- 43:00Speaker 1: they legally divorced yet?
- 43:02Speaker 2: No, I don't think so. I think pretty much because
- 43:05Speaker 2: of the bankruptcy and some of the other legal issues
- 43:08Speaker 2: that it's sort of just sitting there.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah. We saw her in the last two seasons, especially
- 43:14Speaker 1: the first season. Has it been two seasons since this
- 43:17Speaker 1: has gone on?
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we went through two seasons. And last season was really,
- 43:22Speaker 2: I think, the tougher one because remember the episode where
- 43:25Speaker 2: they're talking about the victims and she's saying, I don't
- 43:28Speaker 2: really even know if there are any victims. And so
- 43:32Speaker 2: that's what I would say would be sort of like
- 43:35Speaker 2: ground zero of what led to her coming to my event.
- 43:40Speaker 1: So let's jump to that. So here you are at
- 43:45Speaker 1: this event talking to Erika Jayne. Explain to everybody what
- 43:49Speaker 1: the event was. This was a couple weeks ago and
- 43:51Speaker 1: what happened and how this happened, how she ended up
- 43:55Speaker 1: showing up.
- 43:56Speaker 2: So it's kind of, it's like a year long thing
- 43:58Speaker 2: because so after that episode came out, you know, some
- 44:02Speaker 2: of the victims and I were all talking amongst each
- 44:04Speaker 2: other and, you know, some people were really upset. Like, hey,
- 44:08Speaker 2: my stuff's been proven. Like my friend Kathy and like
- 44:11Speaker 2: Josie Hernandez, who people saw in the Hulu doc too.
- 44:15Speaker 1: It's been proven that you won this money and that
- 44:18Speaker 1: he took it and you were his partners or whoever.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 44:21Speaker 1: And then you didn't get it and it's not available
- 44:24Speaker 1: to you.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Right. So we started talking to lawyers about maybe doing
- 44:28Speaker 2: a defamation case, maybe even to NBC, because why are
- 44:32Speaker 2: they putting this out there when he's been disbarred? He's
- 44:36Speaker 2: admitted in his debtor's exam in the Rigomez's case. Tom
- 44:40Speaker 2: Girardi admitted that he didn't have any money and their
- 44:43Speaker 2: money is missing. So it's not alleged. But after talking
- 44:48Speaker 2: to some lawyers, it just felt like they wanted to
- 44:51Speaker 2: use the scenario for like publicity. I was like, God,
- 44:55Speaker 2: you know, trying to use like her being on this
- 44:58Speaker 2: big show really to their benefit. I don't think that's
- 45:01Speaker 2: going to be helpful. So eventually I just said, well,
- 45:04Speaker 2: why don't I call Erica's lawyers and talk to them?
- 45:08Speaker 2: And so I did. And we started talking about all
- 45:13Speaker 2: the different elements of the case and what they knew
- 45:16Speaker 2: or didn't know. They didn't have a list of any victims.
- 45:20Speaker 2: No one had told them who the victims are.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Nobody told Erica's attorneys.
- 45:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 2: So therefore, Erica didn't know.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 45:28Speaker 2: So in the bankruptcy, you would think that they would
- 45:32Speaker 2: reconcile the bank accounts, you know, like balance your checkbook,
- 45:35Speaker 2: like we do, you know.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Because now they've taken over this Ponzi scheme, you know,
- 45:41Speaker 2: with missing money, robbing Peter to pay Paul kind of thing.
- 45:44Speaker 2: So they should reconcile the account and figure out where
- 45:47Speaker 2: all the money went and see who all the victims are,
- 45:50Speaker 2: validate the claims that came into the bankruptcy. None of
- 45:53Speaker 2: that's been done. So I started telling them, okay, here's
- 45:56Speaker 2: people I know that have contacted me. We can start
- 45:59Speaker 2: with Kathy and her family. Everyone knows about them. Let's
- 46:03Speaker 2: go to Josie. She's in the documentary. OK, how about
- 46:06Speaker 2: Holly Jones? How about Lottery Nancy? You know, so we
- 46:09Speaker 2: start going down the list and now, OK, well, now
- 46:13Speaker 2: they do know the victims exist. So we started talking
- 46:17Speaker 2: back then about maybe Erica meeting the victims and apologizing
- 46:21Speaker 2: because that's what they really wanted. They didn't really want
- 46:23Speaker 2: to sue anyone. They just wanted her to acknowledge them
- 46:26Speaker 2: and say, like, I'm sorry this has happened to you.
- 46:29Speaker 2: So we talked about it, but it was like, I mean,
- 46:32Speaker 2: how are we going to do it? Like we kind
- 46:34Speaker 2: of joke, like we do a press conference at the
- 46:35Speaker 2: Beverly Hills Hotel. I mean, could you imagine what people
- 46:39Speaker 2: would have said if we would have done that? You know,
- 46:41Speaker 2: how are we going to do this? Like, how am
- 46:42Speaker 2: I going to put them in the room together?
- 46:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:44Speaker 2: So it sort of got tabled really, you know, like, well,
- 46:47Speaker 2: when the right time comes or, you know, we'll figure
- 46:50Speaker 2: it out whenever. Well, my events in place. So, you know,
- 46:54Speaker 2: me being who I am. I send my GoFundMe link
- 46:58Speaker 2: to Eric's lawyers thinking maybe they'll donate to it or whatever.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Maybe they want to help Paul's Ice Cream Company or whatever.
- 47:04Speaker 1: And Paul's Ice Cream is your company based and your
- 47:07Speaker 1: son was named Paul.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Right.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Right.
- 47:09Speaker 2: So I started an ice cream company in honor of
- 47:12Speaker 2: my son, who was a chef for craft services on
- 47:14Speaker 2: TV and movie sets. And so we're doing this big,
- 47:17Speaker 2: you know, ice cream blanch, a pop up at a
- 47:20Speaker 2: restaurant in the valley. called The Valiant, of course. It's
- 47:23Speaker 2: such an LA story. It's kind of funny.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 2: And so I just sent them the GoFundMe and just
- 47:29Speaker 2: thinking maybe they would donate. That was really it. And
- 47:32Speaker 2: a couple days later, they called and said, you know,
- 47:35Speaker 2: could Erica come to the event? You know, would there
- 47:38Speaker 2: be victims there? Would she be welcome to come? And
- 47:41Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know. Like, let me get
- 47:43Speaker 2: back to you. So I talked to the victims that
- 47:47Speaker 2: I knew were coming because Nancy and Josie, who people
- 47:50Speaker 2: will see in the pics later. And then my friend,
- 47:55Speaker 2: Kathy Regomez, you know, they were volunteering at the event.
- 47:57Speaker 2: So I knew they were going to be there. They
- 47:59Speaker 2: weren't just coming to buy ice cream. They're actually working,
- 48:02Speaker 2: helping set up, helping people, you know, working with the customers.
- 48:05Speaker 2: So I wanted to make sure like they didn't mind.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I didn't care. Um, I mean, what would I care
- 48:11Speaker 2: if Erica comes and like my son worked on TV
- 48:14Speaker 2: and movie sets, like he loved that stuff. So he
- 48:16Speaker 2: would have thought it was funny that Erica was coming. Um,
- 48:19Speaker 2: we didn't want to tell anybody really, cause we didn't
- 48:22Speaker 2: want a bunch of like looky loos or people just
- 48:24Speaker 2: like showing up and it not being like something to
- 48:27Speaker 2: honor my son or whatever. So once they said, okay,
- 48:31Speaker 2: it was like the day before or like days before
- 48:34Speaker 2: or whatever. So, um, you know, really it was just,
- 48:38Speaker 2: it was very laid back. Like I didn't really confirm that.
- 48:41Speaker 1: You were like, not totally sure.
- 48:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Cause I like, it was just so weird.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Like it's kind of a big deal. You think it'd
- 48:47Speaker 2: be in writing somehow or. I don't know. It was
- 48:50Speaker 2: just very casual and it was very close to the
- 48:52Speaker 2: day of the event. And I mean, most people probably
- 48:55Speaker 2: have never done a big event like that. And I
- 48:57Speaker 2: didn't hire an event planner like a dummy. So I'm
- 48:59Speaker 2: all over the place. So I don't have time to
- 49:02Speaker 2: really like nail something down. It's kind of like, okay, whatever.
- 49:05Speaker 2: So we really didn't even know until the morning of
- 49:09Speaker 2: like that her attorney landed in Van Nuys and then, oh, like, hey,
- 49:13Speaker 2: I think they're coming at 1130. The event starts at noon.
- 49:17Speaker 2: You know, Kathy got there like three minutes before Eric did. Nancy,
- 49:21Speaker 2: Lottery Nancy came after Erica.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Explain what Lottery Nancy's case was because I don't.
- 49:27Speaker 2: So Lottery Nancy was a client of David Lira and
- 49:32Speaker 2: Tom Girardi. So David Lira is Tom's son-in-law. And what
- 49:39Speaker 2: happened is her daughter went on a show, like the
- 49:44Speaker 2: California Lottery show. So her dad had a ticket where
- 49:47Speaker 2: you can go on the show and play for more
- 49:50Speaker 2: instead of keeping your amount. And so he has his
- 49:54Speaker 2: daughter go, and she goes on the show, and instead
- 49:57Speaker 2: of splitting it with her dad, she keeps the whole
- 49:59Speaker 2: $ 5 million.
- 50:00Speaker 1: How old was the girl at the time?
- 50:02Speaker 2: She was in her 20s. Okay. So, you know, Girardi
- 50:06Speaker 2: Keys comes in, and... They ended up going to trial,
- 50:10Speaker 2: which it was a bench trial, meaning.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Just the judge- To sue the daughter for a tap.
- 50:13Speaker 1: For the money back, for their half.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Okay. Just for their half, which he won. But in
- 50:18Speaker 2: the process, he took his legal fees and gave them
- 50:21Speaker 2: to his wife, which is Tom's daughter, Jacqueline, and Tom
- 50:26Speaker 2: gave his to Erica. So that's where you get those
- 50:28Speaker 2: headlines that say, did Erica win the lottery?
- 50:30Speaker 1: That's connected to lottery Nancy.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 50:34Speaker 1: There's so many layers.
- 50:35Speaker 2: So many stories.
- 50:35Speaker 1: And what I was saying when you were coming back,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I'm like, I've interviewed you a bunch of times. I've
- 50:40Speaker 1: studied this shit. My sister's an attorney, and I'm still
- 50:42Speaker 1: confused because there are so, unfortunately, so many people who've
- 50:47Speaker 1: been screwed that we know about. There's probably tons in
- 50:49Speaker 1: the last 30 years that they may not even know
- 50:52Speaker 1: they were screwed. But, okay, continue.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So, yeah. So, you know, Erica gets there, and
- 51:01Speaker 2: the LA Times had come to cover my story.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Wait, but I have a question. So the Lottery Nancy mother,
- 51:08Speaker 1: she gets her half. And then he gets 40% of
- 51:12Speaker 1: that half. And that 40% went to Erica and Jacqueline.
- 51:17Speaker 1: But did she not get hers or she did get it?
- 51:19Speaker 2: She got her portion of it, but they were overcharged
- 51:24Speaker 2: for things on their case, which most of the clients
- 51:27Speaker 2: were now that we're looking at the records. We're seeing
- 51:30Speaker 2: all these companies that were Girardi's friends and you know,
- 51:34Speaker 2: charges that don't make sense for that case or whatever.
- 51:37Speaker 2: And then also you can't give non-attorneys attorney fees. So
- 51:42Speaker 2: if they're going to legally do that, the client has
- 51:45Speaker 2: the right to say, I want those back. Like you
- 51:47Speaker 2: shouldn't have given those to non-attorneys. And the non-attorney being
- 51:50Speaker 2: Erica Jane.
- 51:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Okay. So now you do see.
- 51:54Speaker 1: And how much are we talking about for that? In
- 51:56Speaker 1: that case?
- 51:57Speaker 2: I think it was like, well, like 800,000. Oh, okay.
- 52:02Speaker 2: You know, it was a good. But this is over
- 52:05Speaker 2: years because it's an annuity. You know, it's a lottery annuity.
- 52:07Speaker 2: They pick, you know, when someone wins a lottery, they
- 52:09Speaker 2: can take like the jackpot or they can get it
- 52:11Speaker 2: over so many years.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Oh, so every year and it was going right into
- 52:18Speaker 1: her account.
- 52:19Speaker 2: No. Well, that's the thing that we found out. It
- 52:21Speaker 2: was going to the law firm.
- 52:23Speaker 1: So they were just using Erica and Jacqueline. Got it.
- 52:26Speaker 2: But Nancy didn't know that and nobody else.
- 52:29Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Who would know that unless you saw the records?
- 52:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 52:33Speaker 2: It's in their names. It's in Jacqueline and Erica's names.
- 52:36Speaker 2: They're claiming they're getting it. And their husbands are saying like, hey,
- 52:39Speaker 2: this is cool. We're doing this. You know, David Lira
- 52:43Speaker 2: answered the question that They were doing estate planning when
- 52:46Speaker 2: they assigned those lawyer fees to their non-attorney wives. I
- 52:50Speaker 2: don't know how that makes sense, but it's not legal.
- 52:52Speaker 2: You can't give attorney fees to non-attorneys. You know, so
- 52:56Speaker 2: it's a lottery annuity. So, you know, some people get
- 52:59Speaker 2: a lump sum and then some people pick the annuity
- 53:02Speaker 2: where you get it every year. So Nancy and her husband,
- 53:07Speaker 2: they had picked, you know, they had chosen to get
- 53:09Speaker 2: it every year. Or I guess originally the daughter did
- 53:11Speaker 2: because she was the one who did it initially. Right.
- 53:14Speaker 2: So they couldn't just pay them a percentage of it
- 53:19Speaker 2: off the top because they didn't have it. Their money
- 53:21Speaker 2: was coming every year. So instead of assigning it to
- 53:24Speaker 2: themselves or to the firm, they assigned it to their wives.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Got it.
- 53:28Speaker 2: And, you know, you don't pay California taxes on a
- 53:32Speaker 2: lottery annuity. The feds take their money off the top.
- 53:35Speaker 2: But because it's the California lottery, you don't pay taxes. well,
- 53:40Speaker 2: why wouldn't a lawyer pay California taxes on their lawyer fees?
- 53:44Speaker 1: Right, the work they did.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Oh, okay. So it's just kind of a little mini
- 53:47Speaker 2: scam and the big scam kind of thing.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 53:49Speaker 2: So that's why these are all confusing because the bigger
- 53:53Speaker 2: scheme of it, and then you have each individual story,
- 53:58Speaker 2: and there are thousands of victims over 40 years. I mean,
- 54:01Speaker 2: the bar says they had complaints back to 1982. So, okay,
- 54:04Speaker 2: so she arrives, and.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Looking pretty, but I think a great choice of outfit.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Just like kind of classy, conservative, some nice slacks, a
- 54:17Speaker 1: pretty blouse, nothing crazy.
- 54:20Speaker 2: I mean, it's not like her clothes were cheap or
- 54:22Speaker 2: the purse. I mean, it was all designer nice stuff. Yeah,
- 54:24Speaker 2: but it wasn't too much. I didn't feel– I mean,
- 54:28Speaker 2: you know, it's an event in honor of my son. Yes.
- 54:31Speaker 2: So obviously, you know, even having like the LA Times there,
- 54:35Speaker 2: it was a little anxious for me because– You know,
- 54:38Speaker 2: these are my real friends. This is my real family.
- 54:40Speaker 2: This is a real event. This is in honor of
- 54:42Speaker 2: my son. It's his name on it. You know, I
- 54:45Speaker 2: want people to act accordingly. So it was, like, nerve-wracking
- 54:49Speaker 2: a little bit. So I was relieved when I saw
- 54:51Speaker 2: her that, you know, she didn't come in, like, giant
- 54:53Speaker 2: heels and just something like, you're at the Valley Inn
- 54:57Speaker 2: in Sherman Oaks on an ice cream thing. Yeah, right, right.
- 55:00Speaker 2: You know, like, what do you have on?
- 55:02Speaker 1: I thought it was a perfect outfit. Okay, so what
- 55:05Speaker 1: was the first thing? Hello, hi, hugs, weirdness. What was
- 55:09Speaker 1: that like?
- 55:10Speaker 2: Yeah, so when we first saw Erica, we were all
- 55:14Speaker 2: in the room. It's called the John Wooden Room, which
- 55:17Speaker 2: John Wooden, the UCLA basketball coach, used to go to
- 55:20Speaker 2: this restaurant. And this is his room dedicated to him.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Some of his books from his library are in there
- 55:24Speaker 2: and everything. So we're sitting in the John Wooden Room.
- 55:27Speaker 2: And me and Kathy and Josie Hernandez are sitting there.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Nancy's not there yet. And Erica comes in and I
- 55:36Speaker 2: get up to go over to her and I'm going
- 55:38Speaker 2: to shake her hand and she offers to hug me. Okay.
- 55:42Speaker 2: So we hug and then she hugs Kathy and Josie
- 55:46Speaker 2: and we all sit down and it was, you know,
- 55:49Speaker 2: you know, when you sit down, it's like you could
- 55:50Speaker 2: cut the room with a knife, you know, really uncomfortable.
- 55:54Speaker 2: Like everyone really doesn't know. And, you know, while there
- 55:58Speaker 2: were cameras there, um, We didn't agree for– we just
- 56:02Speaker 2: wanted to have this chance to meet Erica. We didn't
- 56:05Speaker 2: want like anyone throwing questions at us. Like it wasn't
- 56:10Speaker 2: like that.
- 56:11Speaker 1: So to be clear, there are no Bravo cameras.
- 56:14Speaker 2: No Bravo cameras. I would have never agreed to that.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Yes. And– And so did you guys eat or just
- 56:21Speaker 1: sit and have water? Here's the photo. You're just having water.
- 56:23Speaker 2: We just had water and we just talked. It went
- 56:26Speaker 2: on for like an hour and 20 minutes.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And tell us the broad strokes of it, like the
- 56:30Speaker 1: juicy scoop of this convo.
- 56:32Speaker 2: So, I mean, obviously initially Erica wanted to know, you know,
- 56:36Speaker 2: who the ladies were and what their stories were. Kathy
- 56:40Speaker 2: didn't explain hers because, you know, Erica already knew about
- 56:42Speaker 2: the Gomez's.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Because she had seen Housewife and the Hustler. And of course.
- 56:47Speaker 1: And she said that I saw that clip.
- 56:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Somebody you shared that with me.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. She did say that she had seen it,
- 56:54Speaker 2: but it had been like at the time that it
- 56:55Speaker 2: came out. So it's been a little while. So Josie
- 56:59Speaker 2: told her story and Erica just primarily listened. And then,
- 57:04Speaker 2: you know, Kathy told her story and Erica told both
- 57:08Speaker 2: of the ladies, you know, that she was sorry. That
- 57:11Speaker 2: she was sorry for what they'd been through and sorry for,
- 57:15Speaker 2: you know, how things had come across. And, you know, that.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Did she explain why?
- 57:22Speaker 1: Did she ever explain like that she came off? insensitive
- 57:27Speaker 1: on the show because based on what the lawyers told her,
- 57:30Speaker 1: based on maybe a little bit of that is her personality,
- 57:33Speaker 1: she's always, you know, I'm cold as ice. And I mean,
- 57:35Speaker 1: that is kind of her personality a little. It doesn't
- 57:38Speaker 1: mean she's, you know.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. And I mean, I would say, especially in
- 57:43Speaker 2: this moment, she was definitely showing a softer side of
- 57:46Speaker 2: Erica than what we've seen in the past. But yeah,
- 57:51Speaker 2: we didn't really go over that part because over the
- 57:54Speaker 2: months leading up to it, we had definitely all talked
- 57:57Speaker 2: that out to the nth degree.
- 57:59Speaker 1: You with the other victims or?
- 58:01Speaker 2: Me with her lawyers and looking at proof, you know,
- 58:04Speaker 2: like one of the things that I always said is
- 58:06Speaker 2: Erica could end up in trouble for her taxes or,
- 58:10Speaker 2: you know, signing her taxes.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 2: And so, you know, one of the things that I
- 58:14Speaker 2: wanted to know was like, you know, what were their
- 58:16Speaker 2: taxes like? Because if they're super complicated, like I was
- 58:20Speaker 2: starting to maybe think they were, then I was starting
- 58:24Speaker 2: to think, well, there's a new program for like innocent
- 58:27Speaker 2: spouse for the IRS.
- 58:28Speaker 1: So it's like, you know, what does that program explain that?
- 58:32Speaker 2: Well, it's basically like, and it doesn't matter the gender,
- 58:35Speaker 2: but let's say your spouse has a business and they
- 58:38Speaker 2: do stuff with their investors or other stuff and you're
- 58:41Speaker 2: just signing your taxes, but you don't understand their companies
- 58:44Speaker 2: or their profit and losses or how this moved to
- 58:48Speaker 2: here or whatever, or how this asset was sold. And And,
- 58:51Speaker 2: you know, the equity in that was put into this
- 58:53Speaker 2: business or whatever.
- 58:54Speaker 1: And you can prove that in your marriage that you
- 58:59Speaker 1: took care of the decorating or whatever, the vacations.
- 59:03Speaker 2: You were pole dancing.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and he was the only one that met with
- 59:07Speaker 1: the tax guy for 20 years. You never even went
- 59:09Speaker 1: to that meeting. He came home, you signed it, you
- 59:11Speaker 1: put the big stamp on it. In this case, if
- 59:16Speaker 1: this had existed... Teresa Giudice may have never gone to prison.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Right. Oh, maybe.
- 59:21Speaker 1: I don't know that case very well, but it's possible.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Is this just for California, or is this a federal thing?
- 59:28Speaker 2: No, it's a federal thing.
- 59:30Speaker 1: But is it in effect yet, or is this they're
- 59:33Speaker 1: trying to get it done?
- 59:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it is in effect.
- 59:35Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 59:35Speaker 2: And I only know a little bit about it, but
- 59:37Speaker 2: just sort of scratching the surface and then looking at
- 59:41Speaker 2: some of the complicated aspects of Tom's business, I'm like,
- 59:45Speaker 2: I was having a hard time wrapping my head around it.
- 59:47Speaker 2: So I couldn't imagine somebody who's never worked in the
- 59:51Speaker 2: legal industry. I mean, even if she hung out at
- 59:54Speaker 2: the law firm for the first few years in her
- 59:56Speaker 2: track suit, annoying the partners.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Which you witnessed.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Well, what people, you know, talked about even years later,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: you know, that's not going to be enough to understand
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: the taxes. So then, you know, okay, that question was answered.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: So we kind of went through this little laundry list
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: of like, You know, our real questions and then also
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: things that the partners had led me to believe or
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: led Kathy and I to believe about Erica. That, you know,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: she's narcissistic. She's really greedy. She was the demise of
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Tom Girardi. So we got into that a little bit.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: You know, we asked her, you know, do you.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Have a text from that? Explain what this text is.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So this was in March 2021, and this was an
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: article about, you know, Tom being disbarred. And I sent
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: it to Robert Finnerty, which was a 33-year partner, 33-year
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: employee and partner at Charity Keys. And this was his response.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: You know, he basically wrote, that pristine reputation began to
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: crumble long before divorce, began to crumble when his thief
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: of Oh, so he's totally throwing her under the bus
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and completely pointing a finger there. When, in fact, he
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: was the partner for the whole time. Now, what is
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: his position with all this legal stuff, being that he
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: was the partner? Is he in trouble?
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: I mean, we've only seen the CFO, Chris Camone, and
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: then the son-in-law, David Lira, being brought up on any
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: kind of criminal or bar charges. But knowing what we
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: know now, we're definitely wondering what's going to happen with
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Robert Finnerty or other lawyers like him who actually knew
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: about it. So initially, the first year or two, they're
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: painting a picture to victims that Tom is alone on
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: an island doing this all by himself and that no
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: one at the firm knows. Well, that's not true. And
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: we didn't have that evidence a year ago or two
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: years ago. Now we've seen things for our own eyes.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: And we know that the other partners did know, not
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: just the son-in-law. You know, we always knew the son-in-law
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: was like the heir to the throne of the Girardi case,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: you know, empire, whatever. So we knew that he had
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: a connection all along from the beginning. But the other partners,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: you know, we were really, you know, of the mindset that.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: that they didn't know that this was something he was doing.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Now we see a bigger picture of the plaintiff's bar,
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: the private judges that we talked about before. Remember that
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: one TikTok lady who's really good? She talks about all
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: the private judging and the mediations. And that the legal
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: lenders are involved in this. So now instead of it
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: being like Tom and Erica just by themselves, stealing all
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: the money, spending it all alone, it's really there's this
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: bigger picture of what happened. You know, and I think, too,
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: in the beginning that somebody, an earlier an attorney, had
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: told Erica not to apologize to the victims, not to
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: really say much about the victims in general. Not that
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: she couldn't talk at all. She's on a show.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: But to not really talk about, you know, the case
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: itself or whatever. And I think that was it just
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: played into the partners that were pointing the finger at her.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: And, you know, just who knows how long this would
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: have went on. If we hadn't called her lawyers and
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: just asked, why hadn't the lawyers representing some of these
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: victims done that? Right. Because it didn't behoove them to
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: do it. It was a lot more fun to point
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: the finger at the trophy wife and sort of, you know,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: here's the shiny, you know, famous thing over here. And
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: don't look at us.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, listen, I talked a lot about it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: And when I ran into her, I think it was
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: at BravoCon last year. We were on the same plane. And,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you know, she was really nice in that she was like,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: how's your head? You know, because when I fainted.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: And she saw that.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't know that she knows
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: that I've even talked about it or not. But, of course,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I was very interested. But one thing I did say
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: was like, there's, you know, there's two things. You know,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: either you are the smartest person on earth. Or you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: really are that girl that you aren't formally educated, but
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: you use your sex appeal and your smarts to get
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: with a rich guy and enjoy the life that that
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: led you. And she did say, in the beginning, I
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: traveled all the world with him, but it seemed like
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: in the last 10 years of their marriage, she probably,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: in my opinion, knew he was a cheater and had affairs,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: in my opinion. And when she shared that with the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: girlfriend judge stuff, I think she was getting so much
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: hate at all the places and that the divorce wasn't
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: real and they're in cahoots that she was like, he
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: was freaking cheating on me. And then she shared that info,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: which then she got in trouble for and had to remove.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: But no, I've always thought like, no, you marry a
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: rich guy or whatever. And you're this girl. And he's like,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: here's your card. Spend whatever you want. And then when
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: she started the Erica Jane, you know, business, you know, enterprise,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: it was the same thing. Spend whatever you want. And
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: the dancers and the choreographers and the people around her, um,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: got paid well and they, that's, therefore it was fun.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: And they, I mean, I've said for a long time, no,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I don't think that ever made money before housewives, you know,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: when you're going to the, we're forming at the white
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: party and you have a, you know, and you're going
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: on a private jet to get there and you're housing
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: 10 dancers and, no there's no money you probably had
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: to pay to do it and even if you sold
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: any tickets there's probably no money because you have such
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: a big entourage.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: And it seems like any money that came in got
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: put into the firm into.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: The Ponzi scheme right so it's like I mean you
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: know and remember she did say Tom took my paycheck
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: which also totally makes sense too if you're in that
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: kind of a thing where here's your card okay well
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: what do I do with this you know check of
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: whatever significant check from Bravo 25 grand um.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Well, here it is.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Because I don't get denied anything.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: So, like, why after 20 years would you be like, oh.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: No, this is my money now when you've been spending
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: his money. That's like an appropriate situation when you think
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: about it. And Tom would say.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Stuff to me, you know, like, you know, Erica's getting
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: her independence. Like, he was making it sound like, you know,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: she was taken off and, you know, would be able
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: to have her own identity or whatever. Because before, in
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: the beginning, she would be the spouse of the Aaron
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Brockovich lawyer or whatever. Now Tom's the spouse of Eric
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Jane on Housewives.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Which he was never really comfortable with people kind of
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: flipping it like that because he was definitely like old
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: school guy where, you know, I'm the superior, you know,
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: male being or whatever.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: And we did see those classic moments that you see
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: and you see it with a lot of couples, by
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: the way. when you're dining or whatever, and you think it's,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: and the wife tries to, you know, say, well, actually,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and he's like, Erica, I'm talking. Like, and you're just like, okay.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: And she just sat back and she's like.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Somebody actually sent that clip to me that long ago.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: And I was all, oh, God.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I would have never shut up. This is what it is.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: This is what it is. And that's why I don't
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: care that you screw other people. And that's why I'm
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: very happy not to go to Europe with you anymore.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: And I can be with my gay dancers. And I
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: can get the love. And now I'm on the show.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: And you saw that that was probably the, I think
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: that was like one of the first or second seasons.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Because after that, she had very, he was on it
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: very little. And I would too.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: And she wasn't around horribly. She wasn't around after that.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Like once she was on the show, like I didn't
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: see her at like the Christmas party or whatever. She
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: didn't come anymore, you know, after she was on the show.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: At least now. Like, not after 2015.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think they were probably, like, they had their
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: arrangement or whatever. And she probably was, like, I literally
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: think one of the seasons he was on, like, one day. Like,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: the whole season. It was, she got him his styrofoam
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: cup of coffee. And she was, like, hey, babe. You know,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: and then he waddled off. And then there was, like,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: another time where she had her moment crying, thanking him
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: for getting her to a place where she's actually get
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: to perform on Broadway again. And then that was cut
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: short because of COVID. And then all this shit went
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: down during COVID. Right.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: It definitely blew up at like a moment where she
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: was actually getting some traction, you know, and. you know, hey,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: we've all had our opinions about her talent or whatever. Yeah.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: I mean, that's still, you know, everyone has their opinion
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: about that. Right. I mean, she does have a residency
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: though now, so that's interesting.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: And you're going, right?
- 1:09:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Or you plan on going?
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: So we're talking about going to the opening the first
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: night of her show or whatever. We really have started
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: a genuine dialogue between the ladies and Erica. And we
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: really want to work together to make sure that all
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: the victims get paid. And if we can find common
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: ground doing that, I mean, to me, that was my
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: biggest goal all along was for the victims not to
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: feel triggered every time a new episode airs and for
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: us to try to make sure that the victims don't
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: get left behind. And, you know, we're really doing that.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: And in that is sort of this female kind of
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: girl power bond thing. And, you know, me and Kathy
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: were saying, well, it started as a joke. I don't know.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Everything in life kind of starts as a joke, I think. But,
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: you know, we should go to opening night. And, you know,
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: support Erica because she came and supported my event and
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: was really genuine about it. And she offered to do
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: whatever with Nancy or Josie. You know, how can I
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: help you? How can I lend my platform to you guys?
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: And I don't, you know, Erica's not the only celebrity
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I've been around. I've been around plenty of them. and
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: some are nicer than others, and I did think... Thank you. No,
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: not pointing any fingers in here. But, you know, I
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: thought that she didn't have to offer, you know, to
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: Josie Hernandez, who's a real estate agent, hey, when I
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: buy a house coming up, I'll use you as my agent. Well,
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: now she better use her.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Now that we've said it, she better use her as
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: a former realtor. I like that kind of loyalty.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I mean, you know, so it's like, we don't want
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: to just take it for granted because there were bad feelings.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Like you've got to be the bigger person in all
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: of this. Like I know people are going to say like, well,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: you made fun of her. You said stuff. Yeah, I did.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: And Erica said in the meeting, like Kim's been very
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: vocal and I laughed and said, yeah, yeah. And I'll
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: continue to be vocal. It's not going to change.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: That's my personality. And I feel protective, you know, of
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: the victims and my friend and, You know, whoever is
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: on their team is on their team. And she's offering
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: to do that now. And that's what we all wanted.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's funny when people are like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: it's too late. It's never the wrong time to do
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: the right thing. That's a good quote.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Can you explain the earrings? to me.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Okay, I'll try. Earrings are complicated other than they're really beautiful.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: What I'm really confused is, were there two pairs of earrings?
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: What is that about? That like, the one pair of
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: earrings was worth $ 750. No, it's worth $ 1. 5. But then
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: she turned in ones that were only worth $ 350. But
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: then Ron Richards bought them for $ 250. Now they've been
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: told that they, that Ron has to return them. I'm
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: so confused.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: I don't believe that they'll end up being returned.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: So are there two pairs or not? Let's just start
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: with that.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I mean, I think that's up in the air. I
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: don't believe there are. I think that there was a
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: pair of earrings given to Erica and that, you know,
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Tom and this jeweler had their own little love affair
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: going on or relationship, whatever. And they wrote whatever they did.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: I mean, if I were guessing, and it is just
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: an educated guess, that they were writing that receipt up
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: for the insurance companies.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: I mean, you know. And so did that receipt match
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: the earrings that actually Erica ever had?
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: You know, like the clarity or the color or whatever?
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: I don't know. I'd have to literally see video of
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: the earrings originally next to the receipt to believe that
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: they ever matched in the first place. I just don't
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: think they ever matched. Okay. So then when Erica gave
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: them over, right, they just didn't match. I don't think
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: there were two pairs.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: That's my opinion. Got it.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Thanks for explaining that. So she turns them over. Ron
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Richards buys them an auction.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: And gets a $ 50, 000 discount because he was the special
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: counsel at one time. So he actually will get paid
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: a percentage of the money that was brought into the
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: estate for the sale of the earrings. So very salacious
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: to me.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: So like a double dip.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: And, you know, I said something on his wife's Instagram
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: and they blocked me. And like Ronald Richards sent me
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: all this crazy stuff. and said I was going to
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: be investigated, that my claim in the bankruptcy was going
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: to be made invalid and all this stuff. Like, really?
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Because I think it was distasteful for them to buy
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: the earrings. And that's just my opinion. Some people might
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: think it was funny. It wasn't really funny to the victims.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Not the ones, you know, that we all talk amongst
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: each other. Like, we didn't feel great about that. Like, oh, wow.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: And the victims of only 11% of the bankruptcy proceedings
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: They've been paid out, have gone to victims. And that's
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: to the Bergomezes. So no other victims have seen any money.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: All these millions have been paid to lawyers, the trustees,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: people like Ronald Richards, not to victims. And I said
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: that all along. So that part hasn't changed. We still
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: aren't seeing victims get paid. But now the latest thing
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: is that she appealed that. Right.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Like, under the guise of— On principle, because— Like, it's
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: a gift, and I didn't know, and why am I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: giving back gifts? Because— Well— I don't understand it, but
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I was going to say, well, like, if that's the case,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: then what about all the times that he donated to, like,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you know— our governor or whoever, like, are they all
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: supposed to go back and return?
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, they are. They are. And, and just like we
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: saw with Bernie Madoff, all the politicians returned the money
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: that Bernie Madoff donated over the years. Kathy and I
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: keep bringing that up. Where's our return? You know, where's
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: like Biden and Newsom and Schwarzenegger and, you know, like
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: it's a laundry list and, and Tom played both sides. So,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: I mean, you know, in California we have a lot of,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Democrats as politicians, but Tom didn't really play favorites in that.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Whoever could help him out.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Whoever buttered his bread that he could have in his pocket.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: So that they don't investigate him. So they don't go
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: to the bar.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Exactly. So we want that money back for the victims.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: We think that the politicians should have to pay it back.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: The thing with the earrings, the way that Erica... per
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: se one is the part of the argument where they
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: were saying the trustee did not prove that the money
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: that bought the earrings were bought with the Reslin trust account,
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: the money that belonged to the victims.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Because they haven't balanced the checkbook yet. Okay. You got
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: to go back and do this forensic accounting and figure out,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: you know, when they robbed Peter to pay Paul, what
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: did that mean? You know, where did the money come from?
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Where did it go? They've got to go back to
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: square one and reconcile it. I mean, and it's possible
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: that that's going to be damn near impossible to do
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: because we now know since the CFO has been arrested,
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: there's two sets of books for the business and probably
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: two sets of books for Erica's too. It wouldn't surprise
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: me because same dude did it. The guy in jail.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: So anyway, so she, so they, she didn't get the
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: earrings back. But did Ron Richards have to return the
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: earrings in this appeal?
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: No, I think that, you know, so what they did
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: is they remanded it back to the courts and now
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: they got to decide, like, can the trustee actually prove it?
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: You know, she gets time if she wants to go
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: back and prove it. Maybe she's going to say she can't,
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: that the records can't be traced. I mean, you know,
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: that that's that's to be seen. I think that if
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: she can and they're. And later there's a ruling that
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: maybe there may be some money. I doubt they're going
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: to take the earrings back and say, here's your earrings back.
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: They're likely going to say, like, money-wise, this money, you know,
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: be more of a money exchange. But it's hard to
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: say with this stuff. Like, you know, sometimes the rulings
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: don't go the way of common sense or what you
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: think will happen. So for right now, it's back to
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: the lower courts to say, like, the trustee's got to prove.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: You can't just say the money is commingled. And that's
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: not enough evidence. And we know it was commingled. We
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: know it's a clusterfuck. That we know. But you got
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: to show it. You got to show your work. It's like,
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: you know, when you did math in school.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: Right. I got to see how you got to this answer. Now,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: the next thing coming up is the Tom competency. Tom Girardi,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: if he is competent hearing. The last time you were here,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: you said you do believe he's competent and it's an act.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Has your mind changed? A couple of people did not
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: agree with what you said. Because based on what you
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: were like, something about the way he walked or something
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: told you that he didn't have it. And other people
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: are like, she's not an expert. And who would know?
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: And listen, none of us are doctors or experts. That
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: was just your opinion from what you gathered at that time.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Now it's been like a year later. He might not
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: be competent now.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: He's in his 80s.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: Well, the government hired an expert who is an expert
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: in malingering, which is like lying and faking that you
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: have a brain injury or that you have dementia. And
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: she's a very highly qualified doctor in what she does.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: I mean, that's her specialty is malingering, not just brain
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: injury or brain disease. And yeah, you know, I definitely
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: haven't changed my mind in the sense that, you know,
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: having some issues with aging and being deemed incompetent to
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: stand tall. are really far apart.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: People need to understand that, first of all, like to
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: be deemed like incompetent.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Come on.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Like, I don't believe he doesn't know who people are. And,
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: you know, I stick to my comment about his gait and,
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: you know, doctors will tell you, and it's one of
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: the first things, if you talk to a physical therapist,
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: people are dealing with someone with dementia or Alzheimer's, you know,
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: they have gait issues. You're going to address that.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Explain what gait issues.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: So gait is basically like your alignment of your body.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: So when you have brain dysfunction, it messes up like
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: your spine and your hips and everything's kind of out.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: And that's why when You're dealing with someone with Alzheimer's
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: or dementia that they like trip over their own feet.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: They fall. You know, you're concerned about them falling all
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: the time because their gait is off the way they walk.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: So when you're healthy, if you have an iPhone, it
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: measures your gait, how far you walk and how often
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: your feet are misplaced or you have even feet. Like
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: your iPhone watch will do that for you.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: Interesting. So you can look at that.
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: And it's an indication of health. So someone who's had
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: really intense cognitive deficiencies are not going to have a
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: perfect gait. And so the comment that I was making
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: was when I was watching Tom leave from the initial
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: hearing when he was charged criminally, he walked by himself
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: for like two lengths of a football field and even
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: walked down steps.
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: An 80 cent mineral person with very advanced neurodegenerative disease
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: isn't likely.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: It's not a hundred percent. I'm just saying it's not likely.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: It's not probable that he would be able to walk
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: like that by himself. And it was just interesting because
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: he kind of walks like a turtle and he just
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: tried to walk like even slower turtles. So he was
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: just like, instead of, you can't really fake a gait issue,
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: but you can go slower to try to look meek
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: and mild or whatever. And they forgot to like hold
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: his hand and shit on the way down. So, You know,
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: the aide forgot, like, oh, yeah, he's old. We got
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: to pretend he can't walk by himself. And he literally just, like,
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: walked down, hopped down a step, no problem. I filmed
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: it because I wanted to see it again to see
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: if I was, you know, like, did I just see him, like,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: walk like he always does but just slower? I mean,
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: I've sat at a table dozens of times and watched
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: him walk to me, you know. And imagine being, like,
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: a young person who's supposed to be all excited to
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: work with Tom and you're sitting at the Jonathan Club
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: and you're there early and you're all nervous. Like I
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: watched him walk up. I studied it, you know, a
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: number of times. I think, oh, wow. So I'm looking.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: I'm thinking, am I going to see something different? So
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: it's the same old Tom. So that's what just gives
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: me pause. Right.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: You're right.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: As a lay person, I have seen like 100 brain
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: autopsies of people with Alzheimer's and dementia, but I'm not
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: an expert. But I have seen stuff that the average
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: person isn't exposed to as far as brain injury because
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: of the work that I do.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: So that's coming up, and I don't know when the
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: show's going to start to air, but everyone's very excited
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: for the show.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: So why is it longer? Isn't it saying October or
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: November now? Because hasn't it been, wasn't it late summer
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: the last year?
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I know they're still working on stuff, whether it's in
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: post or whatever. And then, of course, the latest rumor
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: was Kyle and Mauricio breaking up. And then in one interview,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Erica said, they're not getting divorced. I'll let Kyle talk
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: for herself, but they're not getting divorced. There's just a
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: report that they were in Aspen together, she and Morgan.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: But I just saw the latest one is that she
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: was with Kyle and they were snuggly wuggly.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: I mean, to do a documentary.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Kyle was with Mauricio and they were snuggly wuggly. Yesterday
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: or over the weekend, she was hanging out with Morgan Wade.
- 1:22:38Speaker 2: For the documentary. For the documentary.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: So now I have gone back and forth on this
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: of what I think is going on. Now I'm like,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: maybe they aren't doing the lickety splits. Maybe she discovered
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: this girl and she, you know, her thing with American woman,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: her scripted show didn't go like everybody. We sat around
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: during COVID and watched a million documentaries.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Right. And now maybe she's going to do documentaries.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: And she was like, oh my God, I, why? And
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: she probably watched the, you know, Ariana had a documentary,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: Selena Gomez, Debbie Lovato, Taylor Swift. They've all had documentaries.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: Every Lizzo, everyone's had a documentary about how this is
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: my life and I've worked so hard. Some makeup artist
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: comes in, there's weird sound, you know, it's like, oh,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the person sits down, you know, like we've all seen
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: the same, same fucking documentary. And so I think she
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: probably was like, Yeah, and I even said, so I
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: am proud of me that I said, one of the
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: times I've discussed it, I said, you know, I think
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: she might have a financial investment in her. I said that.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I didn't predict a documentary.
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: But I didn't know if it was her friend.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Remember that Kyle's friend passed away?
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: She took her own life. Like, she died by suicide.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: And she did have an event, and she had an
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: event honoring her that was filmed for the show, and
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Morgan is there for that.
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: See, so I just felt like she trauma-bonded with that
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: lady because of losing her friend. I mean, I'm just
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: observing from someone who doesn't know anything. Now I'm like, maybe.
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: But I know grief a little bit from losing my son.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: It's a lot to lose. Like, if I lost Kathy, too,
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: I mean, that's– for women, that's a real bond. That's
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: someone you go tell all your secrets to. They know, like, about, like,
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: when you complain about your spouse or your kids or
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: your mom or whatever.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I'm saying, first of all, Kyle, in how she's handled
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: the– The leaks, whether she leaked this scoop herself or
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: they happened, she hasn't done anything wrong. She said, we've
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: had a hard time. The separated news came out. She said,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: we're not getting divorced. But she didn't say we're not separated.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: She just said that they're trying to work it out.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: She wasn't wearing the ring and the paparazzi caught her.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: She said that was for lifting weights. But she made
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: sure the paparazzi caught her there. She made sure the
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: paparazzi caught her giving her gas. She's hanging out with Mort.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Now we know. That, you know, she's probably, I mean,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: I think she's probably very fond of her. But maybe
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: there isn't anything romantic. Maybe this was all the way
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: to get people talking about her investment, which is this.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: girl that nobody really, nobody in my world knew who
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: she was.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: What were the storylines going to be this year? I mean,
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: I'm not an expert on reality shows, but it seems
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: so quiet. And then like Lisa Rinna's gone. She seemed
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: to be the shitster.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Right. When you lose Rinna, Kathy Hilton isn't appearing.
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: So any conflicts they're having or whatever, she is behind
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: closed doors. So yeah, I think both things are probably true.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I do think You know, they've been married a long time.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Maybe they live a little bit separately. Maybe they spend
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: a little less time together. But I also think she
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: found this girl, and she's going to make her a
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: bigger star. And she already got... When this scandal broke,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: her album came... Dropped literally two days later. So I'm like, wow,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: that was really great timing. And I said, you know, like,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Kyle knows what the hell she's doing.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: She's been in the biz a long time. I know that.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Not only has she been in the biz since she's four,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: but her niece is Paris Hilton, who... literally is the,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: you know, the forefather of paparazzi press, dropping bombs, dropping hints,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: you know, making social media work for you. Like I
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: was like, yes.
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: So, but that's a good point.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: But, um, I mean, I think it'll be, yeah. I mean,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: I'll always watch.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: I'm going to watch.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I mean, I've always enjoyed Beverly Hills is one of
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: the top shows because it's my town. It's my town.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: Kyle says it's her town. It's my town too. And, um,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: And so I think, you know, and then we'll, you know,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: hopefully see like a juicy different side of Erica now
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: that the dust has settled a little bit. And, you know,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: and I do think that in all of it, and
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: we've talked about this too, is that, you know, sometimes
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: when you get involved with any kind of lawsuit or
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: attorneys or, you know, even with my sister as a
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: criminal defense attorney, you know, sometimes you're like, when there's
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: like a horrible tragedy, we're like, there's a car accident
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: and the family's your best friends. And, you know, even
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: though it wasn't someone's fault, some child, whatever, somebody. And
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: they're like, and then we never heard from them. They
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: didn't come to the funeral. We never heard from that.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: And my sister's like, sometimes they say, you know, because
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: it's this heightened thing and there's lawyers and criminal.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: To just stay quiet.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: To just stay quiet. But then it gets seen as like,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I can't believe you didn't come to my center. It
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: went too far. And so like, I think that she
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: got some of that advice, then had to then still
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: reveal her life on the show.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: And she's still edgy. She is like an ice queen thing.
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: I liked the softer side of Erica, like the softer
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: side of Sears. I don't know. I mean, we all
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: talked about it afterwards, and I'm sure people saw some
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: of the quotes in some of the media after the event.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: It really did change the minds. It doesn't really matter
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: what I think. It's more of, you know, what Nancy
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: and Kathy and Josie felt, you know, because they're the
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: ones that were clients that had money taken from Girardi Keys.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: And so the fact they walked away and, you know,
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: even afterwards, they sent me messages or text saying, thank
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: you so much for reaching out to Erica's lawyers back
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: then and for this all coming together. I know it
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: was like stressful during your event, but it actually worked
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: out and we're shocked and feel a lot better. That's
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: all I needed to hear to know it was worth,
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: you know, doing it. What people think about it. I mean,
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: who cares? I care about what the victims think.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Right. Well, I'm really glad you came and tell everybody.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: where they can follow you. And if they do want
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: to enjoy the delicious homemade ice cream made from you,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: let's talk about that for a second.
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: So Paul's Ice Cream Company, we have a website, paulsicecreamcompanyco.com. Um,
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: and starting September 1st, which is the nine year anniversary
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: of his death, you'll be able to order it online and, um,
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: pick it up at the Valley Inn restaurant and bar
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: in Sherman Oaks. And you can always stop in there. Um,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: that's our little sub home. So you got to have
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: a commercial kitchen to make ice cream. So, um, that's
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: our home now. And so we're doing kind of like
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: a partnership with them. so that people can order online
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: and then just pick up there. So you can come in,
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: have a cocktail, or just pick up your ice cream
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: and go.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and maybe you'll see the Vanderpump kids doing their spinoff,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: The Valley. Maybe they'll film there, too, and eat their
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: ice cream.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: You never know.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't have to just go to Beverly Hills, baby.
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: Hey, it's a big city.
- 1:29:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Thanks for having me.
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: before bed. Or two, you know. Nobody's watching.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: You deserve a treat.
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: With eight flavours to choose from, you can choose the
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
