  way, shake it off and move forward. When you have a positive mindset,

  There's some things that will come our way and life that we have to shake
• 4:46
  it off. And if I was to use a topic for tonight, it
• 4:50
  would be shake it off. And we're coming from Acts the twenty eighth chapter,
• 5:00
  which you can read and at your leisure Acts number twenty eight, but
• 5:05
  I'm going to begin at the twenty seventh chapter so you can understand what's going
• 5:11
  on. Last week I talked about ride out your Storm and how Apostle Paul
• 5:19
  was on his way to Rome to talk to Caesar because he had been falsely
• 5:26
  accused by the Jews of committing crimes against the Church. How many people know
• 5:35
  that people will scandalize your name, people will lie on you, Well,
• 5:40
  this is what happened to the Apostle Paul. Well, you know Paul,
• 5:45
  he's the one who used to persecute the Jews. He's the one who used
• 5:50
  to kill the Jews, kill the Christians. And now he had an enlightening
• 5:58
  moment on the road to Damaskins. He was knocked off his eye horse and
• 6:03
  he asked Jesus, what must I do? And that's when he changed his
• 6:11
  life around. But everybody don't believe that you have changed your life. They
• 6:17
  remember you before Christy. They remember you when you used to sleep with somebody's
• 6:25
  husband, or used to steal, or you used to drink or whatever you
• 6:30
  used to do. People typically remember who you were, not who you are
• 6:40
  now. I tell people, don't go to my old air dress because yes,
• 6:46
  I used to live there there, Yes I did that, but I'm
• 6:50
  not that person anymore. Well, that's the same thing that happened with Apostle
• 6:57
  Paul. That they didn't believe that he had changed. They were some Christians
• 7:02
  that was still scared of him. There were some Christians that were weary of
• 7:06
  him. But Paul had committed his life to Christ and he faced because excuse
• 7:16
  me, because of this decision he faced many persecutions, he was stoned.
• 7:25
  Most everything that he had done to the early Christians was eventually done to him,
• 7:31
  but he didn't change his stance on that Jesus is the son of God,
• 7:39
  and he rose again on the third day, and now we have an
• 7:45
  internal hope and Christ. So Paul says, okay, I want to go
• 7:53
  talk to Caesar, because it was already prophesied that he had to go to
• 7:58
  Rome, and along the way he was gonna face many difficulties. So in
• 8:05
  chapter twenty seven, they decide that they want to sail, and Paul tells
• 8:11
  them, you know, this is not the right time to sail. There's
• 8:16
  a storm, bruin, don't sail. But how many times do you give
• 8:20
  people sound advice? But because of who you are, they don't want to
• 8:26
  accept your advice. They don't want to accept what God has told you.
• 8:31
  Like, who do you think you are? You're just a prisoner. You
• 8:35
  probably don't want to go to Rome because you don't want to face the charges.
• 8:39
  So they wasn't listening Ball, so they decided to sail him, and
• 8:46
  when they was on the sea, a strong storm came and the boat was
• 8:52
  being tossed to and fro and Paul began to pray. He fasted it and
• 9:00
  pray, and God told him that the ship was gonna be lost, but
• 9:07
  no lives were gonna be lost as long as they say in the ship.
• 9:13
  See, sometimes you gotta stay in the ship. A lot of times we
• 9:16
  want to jump out the ship because the storms get a little heavy, because
• 9:22
  the rains get a little hard, and we want to jump out the storm.
• 9:26
  But sometimes you gotta go through your storm. But on today we're gonna
• 9:31
  talk about shake it off. See, there's some things that in order for
• 9:37
  you to reach your destination, you have to shake it off. You may
• 9:41
  have to shake off some relationship. You may have to shape off some friendships.
• 9:48
  You may have to shake off some family members. I don't know what's
• 9:54
  holding you back on tonight, but you need to ship take these things off.

  Well, anyway, they get in the ship, like I said,
• 10:05
  and they take sail, and they get a pretty bad storm, and the
• 10:11
  sailors get afraid, and they saw it throwing everything off of the boat that
• 10:16
  they don't need. And at one point they're ready to throw the prisoners off
• 10:26
  of the boat. And Paul says, don't throw anybody off the boat that
• 10:33
  my God said that it was gonna be a strong sod stow them that there's
• 10:37
  gonna be win. But no life is gonna be lost as long as you
• 10:43
  stay in the boat. So they kept sailing and they get shipwrecked, and
• 10:50
  some of them only survived on broken pieces, but they all survived. Seeing
• 10:58
  my life, I've survived on broken pieces. Glory be to God. But
• 11:05
  I made it. I'm still here that the rained ah didn't drown me.
• 11:13
  Huh. The water didn't overtake me, the fire didn't burn me. I'm
• 11:18
  still here. Hallelujah. They give God glory, hallelujah. I've been through
• 11:26
  some storms in my life. I've had some shipwrecks in my life, but
• 11:33
  I made it on broken pieces. How many of you, Huh, I've
• 11:39
  been through some storms in your life, and they haven't all been miles storms.
• 11:45
  They've been big hurricanes. We heard about the hurricanes that's over in the
• 11:52
  islands, that is wrecking having. Well, we have some storms in our
• 11:58
  life that's gonna a wreck havoc in our life. Uh oh, But they
• 12:03
  didn't come to destroy us, so they came to make us stronger. Uh
• 12:07
  well, Glory be to God. Her on tonight. I said, we
• 12:13
  was taking talking about taking it off, and you're saying, ah, what
• 12:16
  is she talking about? But as brother Paul huh. And then came to
• 12:22
  the island. Uh. It was a lot of barbarians on the island.
• 12:28
  Uh huh. And they looked and uh they said that Paul must have been
• 12:35
  a murderer. But they was cond to them and they set a fire,
• 12:41
  uh huh. And then Paul was helping him out. He didn't say I'm
• 12:46
  a prisoner, I can't help you. This ain't my island. But he
• 12:50
  began to help them out, and he was looking for some sticks uh huh.
• 12:58
  And then when he he found the sticks of vapor, attached hisself to
• 13:05
  his arm. Now the vapor was poisonous. So the barbarians was looking saying,
• 13:13
  I knew it was something about this man. And now they were waiting
• 13:18
  for him to die from that poisonous stake. Uh huh. How many people
• 13:24
  have people in their life that's waiting for you to fail. They push you
• 13:31
  in a picture and they're waiting for the snakes to bite you. Glory be
• 13:37
  to God. They said you wouldn't make it. They said you wouldn't be
• 13:41
  here today, Glory be the God. But you're holding on to God's unchanging
• 13:50
  hands. I'm looking towards the hill from which come is my helper, or
• 13:56
  my help come from the Lord. So there's poisonous snake. This viper,
• 14:03
  the Bible says, attached herself, uh, the Paul's hands, and the
• 14:11
  barbarians they were waiting for him to die. Ha, Huh, they was
• 14:18
  waiting Lord me be to God, how led Louis. And the snake attached
• 14:26
  yourself to Paul. And Paul wasn't worried. Paul just shug it off.

  How and Luis shook it into the fire, all led Louiah. See,

  sometimes you have to shake things off into the fire. Huh. They gotta

  be burnt up. You gotta shake your will off and let it be burnt
• 14:50
  up, and say God, for God, I'll live, and for God

  I'll die. People talking about you, shake it off. People scandalizing your

  name, shake it off. People hallelujah, acting up and talking about you

  behind your back. Shake it up. Because when you want to be good,

  evil is all around you, even in the church, holl ed lujah.

  Ha. But you gotta shake it off if you want a relationship with

  God, you gotta shake some things off. Hallelujah. Sometimes we want to

  defend ourself against the lie, but shake it off. And once Paul shook
• 15:46
  off that snake the barbarians, I was in awe. They said it should
• 15:52
  have killed them. How many of us have been through things that should have
• 16:00
  killed us? When I stood in the cemetery and watched them lower my son's
• 16:07
  body into the ground, now it should have killed me. How when I
• 16:11
  suffered her a massive stroke, had a ninety nine chance of dying and a
• 16:19
  one percent chance of living. Uh huh, that's what the doctor said,
• 16:26
  But I shook it off. I didn't believe the doctor's report. Glory be
• 16:33
  to God. So we've been through some things that should have killed us.

  How Luiah, how many of us should be dead from the things that we
• 16:47
  went through. Somebody tried to kill us. How holleran and Luiah, the
• 16:52
  devil has marked us for assassination. Hallelujah. So Paul, he shugar it

  off, and the bonarian said he must be a god, and they begave

  began the witness to them. Uh huh. He began to tell him about

  God was using him in a mighty way. How when you shake some

  what it took, no matter what it looked like, he had to make

  it to Rome. Man, he made it her or broken pizzas, but

  he still made it. Some of you, I've made it on how broken

  pizzas. Holler and lujah. But you made it. You made it.

  You was able her to shake off the stuff that was holding you down,

  that was hindering you. Glory be to God. Shake off financial problems,

  the plow for them. Uhha. But one day the mule got old and

  he fell into a pit uhh. And they said, oh, he owed

  anyway, it's gonna take too much effort to try to get him out the

  pit. We might as well bury him. I let Louis, and they

  began to put dirt on the mule. And the mule was down there saying,
• 22:48
  and all the things I've done for this family, and they're gonna bury
• 22:55
  me alive. And he began the shape the dirt off, and he packed
• 23:02
  it under his foot. Every time they threw a shovel of dirt under him,
• 23:10
  he shook it under his feet. They threw another shovel of dirt,
• 23:14
  and he something under his feet, uh huh. And each shovelful of dirt
• 23:22
  that they threw down on him, he was shaking it off and putting it
• 23:29
  under his feet, and tell her. At last he walked out the well.

  How then, Luiah, They tried to bury him, but he walked

  out the well. Every bid time somebody tries to throw dirt on you,

  he shug it off and stepped up on dry land. Hallelujah. Every time

  somebody put some dirt on you, shake it off and step on dry land.

  Glory be to God, Hallelujah. It reminds me of when people try

  to bury you ha, but they don't know that you were seen. And

  when they try to bury you, you just grow hollanlujah, you just grow
