  So today's message is all about something we desperately need in today's world.

  Joy, not the shallow kind that depends on everything going our way,

  but the deep, unshakable joy that comes from God.

  we stated before, today's episode is called Finding Joy in Troubled Times.

  Oh, boy. Have you ever noticed how heavy the world feels when you turn on the news?

  Every headline seems to weigh us down. Wars, divisions, economic struggles,
• 1:22
  uncertainty about the future.
• 1:25
  Even in our personal lives, the weight of the bills, family issues,
• 1:29
  or workplace stress can feel like too much to bear.
• 1:34
  There was a season in my life when I found myself waking up every morning with
• 1:40
  dread. I would grab my phone.
• 1:42
  I would scroll down through the headlines, and within minutes,
• 1:46
  my spirit was already drained.
• 1:48
  The negativity became the lens through which I saw my day.
• 1:53
  But here's the one thing I realized that I was giving the word more authority
• 1:59
  Over my spirit than was Than I was, of course, giving God.

  So I turned to scripture and in Philippians chapter four, verses four,
• 2:10
  it reminds us to rejoice in the Lord always.

  I will say it again, rejoice.

  You know, Paul wrote those words while sitting in prison. Think about that for
• 2:21
  just a moment. He wasn't surrounded by comfort or certainty.

  And yet his joy wasn't silenced because it wasn't tied to circumstances.

  It was anchored in Christ.
• 2:34
  Joy is not about ignoring the struggles. It's not about pretending life is easy.

  Joy is about acknowledging that, yes, life is hard, but God is bigger.

  Joy says, I don't know what tomorrow brings, but I know who holds on to tomorrow.

  When shifting my focus, when I began to start my mornings in prayer,
• 2:57
  instead of scrolling the news, something changed.

  The word didn't change overnight, but my outlook did.
• 3:05
  The burdens felt lighter. The problems didn't disappear, but my perspective
• 3:10
  reminded me that I wasn't carrying them alone.

  Maybe you've been there too. Maybe you've been where I've been.
• 3:20
  Maybe your joy has been stolen by the weight of what's going on around you.
• 3:24
  That's you today. Remember, joy is not an escape from reality.

  It's the evidence of God's presence in the midst of it.

  So, here's a challenge for you. Instead of starting your day with fear, start with rejoicing.

  Thank God for something, anything you can breathe. Your family, the sunrise.

  Train your heart to find joy, not in what's happening, but in who God is.

  And if you need help, lean on your faith, your family.

  Share your burdens, but also share your blessings.

  At this time, we need to come together and let's pray Heavenly Father,

  in a world filled with troubling times We thank you for being our constant source

  of joy Help us not to allow the news, the negativity, or struggles to define us,

  Remind us daily, of course, to just rejoice in you Because in you,

  we have hope, we have strength, and we have peace.

  Bless all those listening today with joy that overflows into their homes,

  their workplace, and communities.
