- 1:58Sean McAllister: So we just wanted to give you a heads up on that.

- 2:06Dayna Roselli: We'll still have our entertainment reports um being pushed out.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: So you can catch those for a quick little update.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: But uh Sean and I taking uh and I love it, Sean.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: This is people can watch our travels on uh social media because I have a feeling we'll have some entertaining content on our social channels for our drive to northern Nevada for work.
- 2:26Sean McAllister: So hopefully we don't continue my my road rage series of videos.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: I'm ready for it.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna be buckled in and ready.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: Um something we wanted to talk about right off the bat, though, was UFC Fight Week.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: It's a huge deal because there's tons of free activities for UFC fans.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: UFC is huge.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Uh our headquarters right here in Las Vegas, and this year is the tenth year that they'll be having this international fight week, and so they're really planning on doing it up, I should say.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: And it's like a big fan fest for everybody who is big into the UFC.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: There are so many events that that get fans involved, up close with fighters, lots of different activities.
- 3:12Sean McAllister: And Dana, you recently went over to UFC headquarters and spoke with the guy who runs the whole UFC.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the president of UFC, Dana White himself.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: And if you follow UFC, you know who Dana White is.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: And even if you don't follow UFC, you probably know who Dana White is.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: It was great to see him.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: You know, Dana lives here in Las Vegas and I mean runs pretty much the most successful, I feel like, live sporting event in the world, right?
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like it is, I mean, uh more popular than boxing.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: Oh, I think so.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: Are more of them.
- 3:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, there's there's fights all the time.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: And they're on pay-per-view, people are constantly ordering the fights, going to bars or restaurants that have ordered the fights.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: You know, you pay to get in and and see that stuff.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: I mean, UFC has gotten huge.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: Huge.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: So I sat down with Dana White for the Vegas On Show.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: You can see that at visitlosvegas.com or go to their YouTube.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: We aren't sure exactly what day that's posting.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: So I don't want to give everything away.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: I want you to be able to watch the interview, and we did do it for that show.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: But some things that you will hear us talk about, uh, A, the success of UFC, B, you know, the year or two, I should say, through COVID.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: Remember when everything was shut down and UFC, remember Dana was like, we're gonna do live televised events anyway?
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: How he kept that going, how that, you know, made it even more successful, and how they garnered then a whole new fan base in addition to what they already had because of that.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: Another thing we're gonna talk about is fan week, um, how it's gonna be huge this year.
- 4:55Dayna Roselli: It's June 27th through Sunday, July 3rd.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: There are tons of different activities that are taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: Then there's gonna be parties and uh different pool parties and events, viewing parties for UFC at all different properties up and down the Las Vegas Strip.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: So that's exciting.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: Um, this whole fan fest event is gonna be headlined by UFC 276, and then the 2022 UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony as well, and then that two-day interactive fan experience over at the convention center.
- 5:30Dayna Roselli: So I know that uh the LVC VA loves having this event in town.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: It's great for us and to see all the fans, and they know it's such a huge part of Las Vegas.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: And Sean, when I was there at the headquarters, it was interesting to get a little look around.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: We we did the interview in the UFC gym, which is his personal kind of gym where he works out, Dana White.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: And in there they have a kitchen too, where they make, you know, I don't know if it's food on request or whatever, but you know, they make meals and um the office areas were beautiful.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: There were really uh cool paintings and different kinds of art on the wall, UFC and boxing related, which was really cool to see, and different photos of Dana with different fighters and important people all around the world.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: So beautiful building.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: And we went in that building, and to the right of that, there was a building that stood, and I think that used to be the original building, and over there they do more of the live events and stuff.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, is that is that the Apex?
- 6:27Sean McAllister: Yes, Apex where they have built, yeah, they've built a entire UFC studio in there where they can broadcast live fights from.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: So it is.
- 6:41Sean McAllister: I mean, that entire facility is just breathtaking.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: So you'll want you don't want to miss Dana White's uh interview with me on Vegas.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: On we also talk about some of his favorite places to eat in Las Vegas and some of his things that he likes to do.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: So it's really cool.
- 6:56Sean McAllister: I'm interested in that.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: So that's all coming up, and again, fight week is write it down, June 27th to Sunday, July 3rd here in Las Vegas.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: Come take part, and if you love the UFC, a lot of interaction with some of the fighters, and like I said, a lot of free events.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: Well, there is a uh kind of a new nighttime hotspot that has just opened up at the plaza in downtown Las Vegas.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: It's the Sandollar downtown.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: Now, if you've been around Las Vegas for any amount of time, you've probably heard of the Sand Dollar Lounge.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: It's great.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: Great place, live entertainment there, great vibe, very unique to the Sand Dollar.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: Yes, true.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: And so now they have actually uh put one in the plaza in downtown Las Vegas.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: They kicked off uh sell the grand opening celebration just recently, and now it is fully open and ready.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: And they did put out a little note they want everyone to know both sand dollars are open.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: One didn't take the place of the other.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: So the Sand Dollar Lounge is still open in its re regular location, and then there's the new Sand Dollar downtown.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: It's the best place you can see, you know, local and touring music for free, great cocktails, they have great pizza there, and I look forward to going to checking out the one at the plaza.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: Yeah, so the new one at the plaza in downtown Las Vegas, the original Sandollar Lounge is on Spring Mountain Road.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:24Sean McAllister: So now you've got you've got two choices when you want to get your sand dollar on.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: Listen, especially the locals.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: We love places like that.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: And I think a lot of people that come into town, um, tourists like to go to where the locals like to go, right?
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: So it's it's good to check out some of those places.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: Well, and it's different from what you get on the strip or even you know, in other downtown venues.
- 8:49Sean McAllister: It's a it's it really is a unique vibe and something that is that's it's a good night out for sure.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: Well, a different kind of night out when you talk about places to go on the strip, Dre's nightclub.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: It's been there a long time now, Dre's.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: Listen, if you go up there, it's got a great view, right?
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: It's right on top of the Cromwell.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Beautiful.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Beautiful.
- 9:09Sean McAllister: I know I did several New Year's Eve uh broadcasts from up at Dre's with a you know, overlooking the the strip.
- 9:18Sean McAllister: It is beautiful.
- 9:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so we haven't talked about Dre's much here, but uh, it's always bustling.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: They're always sending us different sightings and they have different uh live performances all the time.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: But something uh that caught our eye is basically that they've kind of signed Chris Brown on for like this multi-year residency.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: And I thought, okay, what's this about?
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: So I guess he's gonna perform live starting on Saturday, June 11th for a slew of dates.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: And like I said, for apparently several years, they made the agreement.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: You know, the Grammy Award-winning uh performer is going to do apparently like a new production, which apparently is also unlike anything in the history of Dre's when it comes to live performances.
- 10:00Dayna Roselli: So I'm interested to see what he'll do over there.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: Obviously, it's not just gonna be probably, you know, standing on stage and singing a few songs.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: It sounds like he's putting some production elements into it, which could be really cool.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: I know there are a lot of Chris Brown fans out there.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: Listen, he has some of the best dance songs out there for sure.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: Uh tickets are available now, and you can go to the Dre's website if you're interested in seeing Chris Brown, all part of his new live stage performance.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Um, sign this multi-year residency over there.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: All right.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: Well, good for Chris Brown, good for Dre's.
- 10:30Sean McAllister: That'll that'll definitely bring in the crowds, no doubt.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Uh kind of going off the strip a little bit, uh, Boulder Station is part of the station casinos group that we talk about quite a bit.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Right.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Uh on Vegas Revealed.
- 10:46Sean McAllister: It's a group of casinos that are off the Las Vegas Strip.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: Uh Boulder Station is on Boulder Highway on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley, and they've just opened up a new food court that really has some some great options.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you know, Boulder Station's kind of fun when you walk in.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: It's a unique it's unique over there.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: It's cool, it's different.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: Listen, I live on the east side of Las Vegas now, and that is our go-to casino.
- 11:14Sean McAllister: Right.
- 11:14Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 11:14Sean McAllister: We're over at Boulder Station all the time.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: And you said there's a good Mexican restaurant there too, right?
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: We're gonna talk about the food court in a minute, but tell me about the Mexican restaurant that you said's good.
- 11:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's called Guadalajara.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: And it's so the food is so good, the service is great.
- 11:30Sean McAllister: I think the margaritas are like the house margarita is like five bucks.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: Ooh, that's good.
- 11:37Dayna Roselli: It's a that's a steal.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: I know for Vegas, right?
- 11:40Sean McAllister: It's great.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:41Sean McAllister: And I mean, we've been back there several times, and I highly recommend Guadalajara.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: Okay, so the Mexican restaurant at Boulder Station.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Sean recommends that, and we want to tell you about the food court now, which actually has mech a lot of Mexican choices in it.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: So it's cool.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like a lot of times when people go to casinos, sometimes they don't want to go to a sit-down restaurant.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: They just want to grab something between a little gambling, or maybe they're going to see a show or a concert or something like that.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: But anyway, um, here is what the new food court includes.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Ready?
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: They've got a capriotis, which is great.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: Great sandwiches.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they got the Bobby, which is amazing.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: Teriaki Madness, and there's a wing stop in there, and a Sabaro, which is, you know, pizza.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: But then they've also got Tacos El Pastor as well, so that's kind of cool.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: In the food court.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: They've also got La Flor de Michiocan for those with a sweet tooth, apparently.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: It offers a bunch of delicious handmade ice cream flavors, and they've got like unique Mexican flavors, like uh, I don't know, Sean, if I'm gonna say these right.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: You ready?
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: Rose, rose kettle, that's easy, guava, uh, shongos, gensito, mami, chamoi.
- 12:58Dayna Roselli: Then they've got cookies and cream in Rocky Road.
- 13:03Dayna Roselli: But anyway, it all sounds delicious.
- 13:06Sean McAllister: It does.
- 13:07Dayna Roselli: And then Taco's El Pastor, you know, if you want your taco.
- 13:10Dayna Roselli: So they've got a wide variety of new things in the in the food court at Boulder Station, and we just like to always mention some off-strip things to give people choices.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: And apparently it's right on the casino floor.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: They've redone it.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: It's got this bright atmosphere, really cool, and you know, something new for folks that like to go to Boulder Station.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: It's open daily from 11 a.m.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: to nine.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: All right, let's get some tips.
- 13:37Sean McAllister: And Dana, this first tip is going to come in super handy for families when they are coming to visit Las Vegas, especially in the heat of the summer.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: True.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: We used to have a wet and wild right on the strip, and that was a huge attraction.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: It came down.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: People still talk about it.
- 13:54Dayna Roselli: They wish it was back, but but it was a great family attraction because you could go to Wet and Wild and do all the water slides with the kids and all that kind of thing.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Adults liked it too.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: But we do have two water parks in Las Vegas, and we aren't sure if people know that.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: They're off the strip, but also could be a destination point.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: They're not very difficult to get to.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: Both of them pretty much off a highway.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: You know, close enough.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: Close enough.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: It's not difficult to get to once you get off the highway.
- 14:19Dayna Roselli: So we've got one on the west side, one on the east side, and they're both Cowabunga bays now.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: So we used to have Wet n Wild on the west side, but it is now officially Kawabunga Canyon.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: They are both open.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: They open Memorial Day weekend.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: They have twisting raft rides, winding tube slides, all sorts of popular attractions there.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: Really fun.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: And we just wanted to let you know those are both open for the season.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: You can go to kawabungavegas.com if you want more information and get the location for both and then choose where you want to go.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: But could be something you want to do if you're on vacation here.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of locals that listen too.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: And if they didn't know, Wet n Wild is now Kawabunga, and it's open.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, so great options.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: Uh, if you're looking for a great steak dinner, maybe always.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: Always.
- 15:05Sean McAllister: Oh, I could I I kind of want a steak right now.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: Me too.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: I'm starving.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: Um Gordon Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen has attracted such a crowd since it opened here.
- 15:17Sean McAllister: I mean, it was God, more than five years ago now.
- 15:20Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: Always busy.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: And it has been packed.
- 15:24Sean McAllister: I was in there recently uh for dinner and it it was tough getting a reservation.
- 15:31Sean McAllister: I had to make some make some calls to get in.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, make some magic happen.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: And make some magic happen.
- 15:38Sean McAllister: Um and I spoke with the the d the general manager over there, and he was like, it has been absolutely insane how busy it is.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Like months booked out.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: So if you're trying to get some of Gordon Ramsay's most famous dishes, but you're not able to get in for a reservation over at Hell's Kitchen, my tip of the week is look for a late lunch at Hell's Kitchen.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: That's what I'm doing uh coming up in a couple weeks here.
- 16:13Sean McAllister: My sister's coming to town.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: She really wanted to go to Hell's Kitchen.
- 16:18Sean McAllister: She really wanted to see Gordon Ramsay.
- 16:20Sean McAllister: But I I don't think he's gonna be here while she's here.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: So next best thing is we're eating his food.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: Um so I I looked, all the dinner reservations were fully booked, but there was a 230 reservation, and I was like, oh, you know what?
- 16:35Sean McAllister: That might not be a bad option.
- 16:36Sean McAllister: Doing a late lunch, going in there.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: They have a lot of the same dishes that are available for dinner, but just a little bit of a smaller portion.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: Like the they have a half beef wellington meal.
- 16:49Sean McAllister: That'd be perfect, which is all you need because every time I've ordered the beef wellington for dinner, I've taken half of the Wellington home.
- 16:57Sean McAllister: So it'll be like the perfect serving size.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 17:01Sean McAllister: And you get to get in and experience everything that Hell's Kitchen has to offer just a little earlier in the day.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: So that is my tip of the week.
- 17:11Sean McAllister: Look for a late afternoon reservation rather than a prime time dinner spot.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: Well, and I was telling you, I d I didn't remember it being open earlier than like a five o'clock.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: I thought it was always just open for dinner.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: I'm not sure if I'm right on that.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: And you said, Yeah, I think so.
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: So it's nice to know that they're filling that demand and opening up earlier in the afternoon.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think they have reservations starting at eleven.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: I believe is when lunch reservations open up.
- 17:42Sean McAllister: Um and then it kind of goes right on through, you know, dinner.
- 17:46Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:46Sean McAllister: Just book an earlier time and you'll be able to get those flavors of Hell's Kitchen.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: Listen, that's it for us.
