- 0:00They tell us the Bible is the oldest record of divine history,
- 0:03that it's stories are sacred, untouched by outside hands.
- 0:08But what if I told you that long before the Bible was ever
- 0:11written, the gods it warns against, the so-called false
- 0:15idols of the ancient world, were not only real, but part of a
- 0:20much older story. A story that began in summer,
- 0:25the birth place of civilization, where gods walked among men and
- 0:30shaped the destiny of humanity. Because hidden in the pages of
- 0:34the Bible, buried under centuries of translation,
- 0:38reinterpretation and erasure, are traces of something far
- 0:42older. The Anunnaki.
- 1:29None. The Bible names many cities,
- 1:36places that loom large in the mythic past of the Israelites.
- 1:40Babylon, Akkad, Ashur, Nineveh, Ulika, Sephirvaim.
- 1:47Ancient names rich with history. But the names given to us in the
- 1:51King James Version are translations filtered through
- 1:55layers of Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin.
- 1:58If we trace them back to their original forms, we find
- 2:01something remarkable. In Hebrew, these cities were
- 2:05known as Babel, Akad, Nineveh, UR, and Eridu.
- 2:10In Akadian they were called Babalu, Akade, Ninwa, UR, and
- 2:14Eridu. And in Sumerian, the oldest
- 2:17written language, Babar, Uri, Ninua, UR, and Eridu.
- 2:24These weren't just cities, they were the domains of the gods.
- 2:27Each Mesopotamian city had a ruling God, a divine authority
- 2:31who presided over it. Eridu belonged to Enki, Babylon
- 2:35to Marduk, Uruk to Inana, Akkad to Ishtar Anunitum, Nineveh to
- 2:42Ishtar, UR to Nana, and Sipar to Utu, the sun God.
- 2:48These gods weren't just mythological figures, they were
- 2:50the Anunnaki, the ruling deities of ancient summer.
- 2:54If these gods ruled Mesopotamian cities, then it stands to reason
- 2:58that traces of them would appear in the Hebrew Scriptures.
- 3:01After all, the Israelites spent centuries under Mesopotamian
- 3:05influence, from their time in Babylonian exile to their wars
- 3:09with Assyria. So do we find these ancient gods
- 3:13in the Bible? The answer is yes.
- 3:18Bell, one of the many Babylonian titles for Marduk, is named
- 3:21multiple times. Isaiah Moxim.
- 3:25Bell boweth down, Nebo stupeth. Their idols were upon the beasts
- 3:30and upon the cattle. Isaiah 46.
- 3:32One Jeremiah prophecies his downfall.
- 3:36And I will punish Bell in Babylon, and I will bring forth
- 3:40out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up.
- 3:43Jeremiah 5144. And in the book of Daniel we
- 3:48find the legend of Bell and the Dragon, where the prophet Daniel
- 3:52exposes the fraud of Babylon's priests.
- 3:56Ishtar, the goddess of love and war, is known in the Bible as
- 4:01Ashtaroth, for Solomon went after Ashtaroth, the goddess of
- 4:06the Zaidonians. First Kings, 11/5.
- 4:11Her influence lingered for centuries, feared and condemned
- 4:14by the Hebrew prophets. Nenurta, the mighty warrior God,
- 4:19may appear under the name Nisrah.
- 4:23In 2 Kings 1937, the Assyrian king is assassinated while
- 4:28worshipping in the House of Nisrah, his God.
- 4:33Was this a reference to Ninurta's temple in Kala?
- 4:36Nergal, the God of War and plague, is explicitly mentioned
- 4:40in 2 Kings 1730. And the men of Babylon made
- 4:44Sukhoth, Banoth, and the men of Quth made Nergal.
- 4:48And what about Shamash and Sin, the sun and moon gods?
- 4:53Their worship is condemned throughout the Old Testament.
- 4:57And they left all the commandments of the Lord their
- 5:00God and made them molten images, even 2 calves, and made a Grove,
- 5:08and worshipped all. The Host of Heaven, Second
- 5:11Kings, 1716. The Host of Heaven was the
- 5:16Mesopotamian pantheon, the Anunnaki, reduced to false gods
- 5:21in the eyes of the Hebrew scribes.
- 5:40Many of these deities, once powerful and revered, were
- 5:44transformed by biblical authors. Some were cast as demons, some
- 5:50reduced to idols, and others absorbed into the character of
- 5:53Yahweh himself. Enlil, the stern, authoritarian
- 5:58ruler of the Anunnaki. He was a God of storms, law, and
- 6:03divine wrath. One Hebrew name for God, El
- 6:07Shaddai, is sometimes translated as God Almighty, but older
- 6:11translations means Lord of the mountain.
- 6:14Enlil too was a mountain God, ruling from his sacred peak in
- 6:18Nepour. Both Yahweh and Enlil were
- 6:23described as radiating an unbearable light so intense that
- 6:27mortals and even other gods could not look upon their faces.
- 6:31Both unleashed a catastrophic flood upon the earth.
- 6:35In the Hebrew account, Yahweh commands Noah to build an ark.
- 6:41In the Sumerian version, Enlil seeks to wipe out mankind, and
- 6:46only Enki's intervention saves a single family.
- 6:50Different names, the same event. Both played a direct role in the
- 6:54destruction of the Tower of Babel.
- 6:57In Genesis, Yahweh scatters humanity and confuses their
- 7:02languages. In Mesopotamian texts, Enlil
- 7:06does the same, tearing down an ancient ziggurat and dividing
- 7:10mankind. The message was clear.
- 7:14Humanity was never meant to ascend beyond its station.
- 7:18The flood, the destruction of Babel, the exile from paradise.
- 7:23These stories are echoes of something older, the idea that
- 7:27humanity is being reset over and over, that every time we begin
- 7:32to spiritually ascend, something happens.
- 7:36A war, a disaster, a great forgetting.
- 7:41The Sumerians believed this had happened at least five times,
- 7:45that Enlil, seeing humanity gain knowledge, would intervene to
- 7:49bring the world back to its knees.
- 7:52The pattern is always the same. Catastrophe, division, control.
- 7:58The Hebrew God destroys cities, drowns the world, commands
- 8:02genocide, and keeps his people in a state of perpetual conflict
- 8:07over and over. Humanity is broken down, it's
- 8:11progress stalled. Enki, the God of Wisdom.
- 8:15His domain was the deep waters, the abyss known as the Abzu.
- 8:20He was a trickster, a giver of forbidden knowledge, a serpent
- 8:24like figure in many myths, and the inspiration for the serpent
- 8:28in Eden. The deeper we dig, the clearer
- 8:32it becomes. The Bible did not emerge in
- 8:35isolation. It was shaped by the
- 8:37civilizations that came before it, by summer, Akkad, Babylon
- 8:43and Assyria. And in doing so, it may have
- 8:46preserved fragments of the Anunnaki hidden in plain sight.
- 9:18Eridu, a name barely whispered in mainstream history.
- 9:23Yet for the ancient Sumerians, it was not just a city.
- 9:27It was the first city, the place where civilization itself began.
- 9:33According to archaeology, Eridu was founded around 5400 BC,
- 9:39predating even the mightiest cities of Mesopotamia.
- 9:44But the Sumerians didn't claim credit for its construction.
- 9:48They said it was built by the gods and one God in particular,
- 9:52Enki, Lord of the Abzu, the keeper of divine knowledge.
- 9:58In the Sumerian King List, Eridu is the first recorded seat of
- 10:02kingship on Earth. The text is clear.
- 10:06After kingship had descended from heaven, kingship was in
- 10:09Eridu. This wasn't just a poetic claim.
- 10:13It was a statement of fact, a belief that Earth's first rulers
- 10:17were not human, but something else, something older, the
- 10:22Anunnaki. But why Eridu?
- 10:26Why would the first city of humanity, our earliest step
- 10:29toward civilization, be built in an empty wasteland far from
- 10:33fertile lands? Perhaps because it was never
- 10:36meant for humans. Buried beneath layers of
- 10:39history, archaeologists have uncovered something astonishing.
- 10:43One of the oldest temples ever discovered.
- 10:46At its heart stood the AOB Zoo, Enki's temple.
- 10:50Its ruins reveal something strange.
- 10:53Unlike ordinary cities that expand outward, Eridu's temple
- 10:58was rebuilt over and over, layer upon layer, as if each new ruler
- 11:02was trying to preserve something sacred or forgotten.
- 11:07Was this where Enki's followers maintained their secret
- 11:10knowledge, or was it something more?
- 11:14Ancient Mesopotamian texts describe the abzu as a
- 11:19subterranean domain, a place of deep divine waters where Enki
- 11:24resided. But if this was just mythology,
- 11:28why would generations of people continuously rebuild the temple
- 11:31in the same place for thousands of years?
- 11:35What were they protecting, or what were they trying to keep
- 11:38buried? Genesis speaks of a paradise
- 11:41where humanity was first created, a place where divine
- 11:45beings walked among men. But Eden was not a land of
- 11:49paradise, it was a place of control.
- 11:53The Bible describes Eden as having a river that divided into
- 11:564, one of which was the Euphrates leading straight into
- 12:00the lands of Sumer. The Sumerians tell a similar
- 12:03tale. Enki's city, Eridu was built at
- 12:09the edge of the AB Zoo, where divine waters met the mortal
- 12:13world. Eden was not a garden, it was a
- 12:16boundary, a containment zone where the first humans were
- 12:20placed under the watchful eyes of the gods.
- 12:23But then came the Fall, a break in the order, a rebellion
- 12:31against divine control. The Bible says that after Adam
- 12:35and Eve disobeyed, they were driven out of Eden, left to
- 12:37wander the world. The Sumerian texts say something
- 12:41eerily similar. Humanity, once a servant race
- 12:45under the Anunnaki, was granted knowledge.
- 12:48And in both stories there is a serpent, a being of wisdom, a
- 12:53figure who intervened, giving mankind the means to evolve.
- 12:59In Genesis, this serpent is condemned as a deceiver, but in
- 13:03Sumerian mythology it is Enki. As time passed, Eridu began to
- 13:09decline. Its temples, once grand, were
- 13:11abandoned. By the time of the later
- 13:14Sumerian dynasties, it was reduced to a holy ruin.
- 13:18Why? The texts tell us that the
- 13:21Anunnaki left. They withdrew from the world,
- 13:24retreating from direct rule. The last recorded kings of Eridu
- 13:29were human, but the city itself was not.
- 13:33Its foundation belonged to something far older.
- 13:36If Eridu was truly the first city of the gods, does this mean
- 13:42it was also the 1st place they left behind?
- 13:46Or is something still there, buried beneath the ruins,
- 13:49waiting to be uncovered? The first city, the first gods,
- 13:54the first mystery. Eri do.
- 14:41Exodus 32. One through 8, Moses ascended
- 14:45the mountain, vanishing into the storm.
- 14:47For 40 days and 40 nights he was gone.
- 14:51And in his absence, the people of Israel grew restless, lost,
- 14:56leaderless. So they turned to something
- 14:58older, something they had known before, a golden calf.
- 15:03Make us gods which shall go before us, they said.
- 15:07For As for this Moses, we know not what has become of him.
- 15:12Aaron, Moses own brother, forged an idol of gold, a shining bull,
- 15:19and when it was raised, the people proclaimed it their God,
- 15:22the one who had LED them out of Egypt.
- 15:25But why a bull? Why not an image of Yahweh, the
- 15:29God of Moses? Because the bull was not Yahweh
- 15:33in Mesopotamia, the bull represented divine kingship,
- 15:37power, creation, and it was always tied to the gods of old.
- 15:42Enlil, the storm God, was often depicted with a bull's horned
- 15:47crown. Marduk, the supreme deity of
- 15:51Babylon, was called the Bull of Utu.
- 15:54Enki, the bringer of knowledge, was linked to the celestial bull
- 15:59constellation, a return to the gods their ancestors once
- 16:02worshipped. The gods of Mesopotamia, the
- 16:05gods of summer, the Anunnaki. But Moses would not allow it.
- 16:11He shattered the tablets, he burned the idol to dust, he
- 16:15forced the people to drink its ashes.
- 16:17And then he ordered the slaughter of 3000 men.
- 16:22Why? If the calf was just a false
- 16:25God, why did Moses respond with such rage?
- 16:28Because this wasn't just idol worship.
- 16:31This was a threat to Yahweh's rule.
- 16:35Moses knew what this meant. The people weren't just
- 16:38worshipping a statue, they were remembering.
- 16:42They were remembering the gods who had come before the gods.
- 16:46Yahweh sought to erase the gods of their ancestors, the
- 16:51Anunnaki. Was the golden calf a false God
- 16:56or the last remnant of a forbidden past?
- 17:19The word God isn't a name, it's a description.
- 17:23In ancient texts, God was an adjective that described what
- 17:27something was, not who they were.
- 17:30And when it comes to the Anunnaki, this distinction
- 17:33becomes crucial. The Bible speaks of the sons of
- 17:37God, but who were they? Many have claimed that the
- 17:42Anunnaki were fallen angels, cast out of heaven for their
- 17:45rebellion. But that's not what the ancient
- 17:48records say. The Anunnaki weren't fallen.
- 17:51They were rulers, rank and file gods who oversaw the management
- 17:55of the earth. But some of them, known as the
- 17:58Watchers, abandoned their posts and broke the divine order.
- 18:02In Genesis 6, two through 4, we read the sons of God saw the
- 18:07daughters of men, that they were fair, and they took them wives
- 18:11of all which they chose. There were giants in the earth
- 18:15in those days, and also after that.
- 18:19When the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and
- 18:22they bear children to them, the same became mighty men which
- 18:27were of old men of renown. These sons of God were the
- 18:32watchers, Anunnaki, who left their posts and descended to
- 18:36earth to take human women, their children, the result of gods
- 18:40interbreeding with humans. We're known as the Nephilim.
- 18:44These Nephilim were mighty kings, warriors and hunters
- 18:48remembered as legendary figures in ancient times.
- 18:52The Nephilim weren't just a myth.
- 18:54They appear again in Numbers 1333, where the Israelites
- 18:58describe encountering giants in Canaan.
- 19:01And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the
- 19:06giants, and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we
- 19:12were in their sight. The word anak, from which the
- 19:16Anakim take their name, is closely related to the word
- 19:19anunnaki. These Anakim were the
- 19:23descendants of the watchers, known for their towering size
- 19:27and immense strength. They are mentioned again in
- 19:30Deuteronomy 128, where the Israelites describe the Anakim
- 19:34as a terrifying, powerful race. Whither shall we go up?
- 19:40Our brethren have discouraged our hearts, saying the people is
- 19:43greater and taller than we, the cities are great and walled up
- 19:47to heaven, and moreover, we have seen the sons of the Anakim
- 19:51there. The Bible isn't denying the
- 19:54existence of the Anunnaki, it's acknowledging them, the
- 19:59Nephilim, the Anakim, the mighty kings and hunters of ancient
- 20:03lore. All trace their origins back to
- 20:07the Anunnaki watchers. The question is what happened to
- 20:11them? The Bible speaks of giants,
- 20:17beings of immense size and strength who once walked the
- 20:20earth. Among them was one of the last
- 20:23org of Bashan. In Deuteronomy 311 we find a
- 20:28strange detail, for only Org, king of Bashan, remained of the
- 20:33remnant of giants. Behold, his bed was a bed of
- 20:38iron. Is it not in Rabbath of the
- 20:40children of Ammon? 9 cubits was the length thereof,
- 20:44and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man 9
- 20:49cubits over 13 feet long. If his bed was built
- 20:54proportionally, then Aug himself could have been 10 to 12 feet
- 20:57tall, a true giant. But Aug was more than just a
- 21:02giant. He was a king.
- 21:04His Kingdom, Bashan, stretched across the lands east of the
- 21:07Jordan, and according to the Bible, he was among the last of
- 21:12a race known as the Refame, a term often linked to the
- 21:16Nephilim. The Nephilim, as we've already
- 21:19seen, were the offspring of the Watchers, the fallen Anunnaki,
- 21:24who took human women and fathered hybrid children.
- 21:28Was OG one of their descendants? Or was his Kingdom even older?
- 21:34The name Rifaim means the spirits of the dead, and they
- 21:39are closely associated with the Nephilim, the sons of the gods.
- 21:44Why was Bashan, a land filled with massive ancient stone
- 21:48ruins, so important in the ancient world?
- 21:53Even today in the Golan Heights, a mysterious megalithic
- 21:56structure remains. A place called Gilgal Rifaim,
- 22:01meaning the Wheel of the Giants, a 20,000 ton stone monument
- 22:07built from over 42,000 massive basalt rocks arranged in five
- 22:12concentric rings. At its center, a burial chamber,
- 22:18a tomb. Could this have been OG's final
- 22:21resting place? Or was it something far older,
- 22:25an Anunnaki fortress later ruled by their hybrid descendants?
- 22:30The Refine appear not just in the Bible, but in Ugaritic and
- 22:34Canaanite texts, and in those writings they are described as
- 22:38mighty warrior spirits, ancient rulers who came from the stars.
- 22:43What if Ogg's bloodline was a remnant of something pre flood?
- 22:48What if the Refine were not just legends, but the final survivors
- 22:53of an Anunnaki civilization, one that Yahweh wanted erased?
- 22:59The Bible does not describe the refi him as ordinary men.
- 23:03It treats them as something different, something to be
- 23:06feared. The Israelites, upon scouting
- 23:09the land of Canaan, reported we saw the giants, the sons of
- 23:14Anak, which come of the giants, and we were in our own sight as
- 23:20grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
- 23:25Numbers 1333. Every encounter between the
- 23:28Israelites and the Raphaim, whether the Anakim, the
- 23:32Zamzumim, or the Amim, ends the same way with their
- 23:36extermination. The Old Testament repeatedly
- 23:40emphasizes that Yahweh commanded the total destruction of these
- 23:43tribes. But why?
- 23:46Why was Yahweh so determined to erase the last of the giants?
- 23:54The Bible tells us that after the flood the nations of the
- 23:57world were divided, but it doesn't tell us why or who did
- 24:03the dividing. In Deuteronomy 32 eight, an
- 24:07ancient and often overlooked verse, we find a cryptic
- 24:10statement when the Most High divided the nation's.
- 24:14He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number
- 24:17of the sons of God. The sons of God.
- 24:21But this is not the version most people know.
- 24:24In later translations, the phrase sons of God was
- 24:28deliberately changed to sons of Israel, hiding something far
- 24:32older, a memory of an age when the earth was divided among the
- 24:36gods themselves. This is not just a biblical
- 24:39idea. In ancient Mesopotamian texts we
- 24:43see the same story. The Anunnaki ruled over the
- 24:46earth, and when humanity was created, the gods divided the
- 24:50world among themselves. What if the biblical story of
- 24:54the 70 nations isn't about human rulers at all, but about
- 24:58Anunnaki overlords? In Mesopotamian mythology, the
- 25:03Anunnaki were given specific regions to govern.
- 25:07Each God had a domain ruling over cities, lands, and entire
- 25:11civilizations. Enlil ruled over Mesopotamia and
- 25:15Summer Enki controlled the Abzu, the deep waters, and later the
- 25:20lands of the West. Marduk took over Babylon.
- 25:25Nanar Sin was the moon God linked to the city of Ur.
- 25:31Inanna ruled over Uruk and later expanded her influence.
- 25:35This is mirrored in the biblical table of nations in Genesis 10,
- 25:39where the world is divided among Noah's descendants, but the
- 25:43names bear striking similarities to ancient Mesopotamian regions.
- 25:48Did this division of nations originally referred to an
- 25:52Anunnaki power structure? Did each nation receive a divine
- 25:56ruler, one of the Anunnaki assigned to oversee human
- 26:00affairs? The Old Testament acknowledges
- 26:03multiple gods existing alongside Yahweh.
- 26:06Psalm 82 one states God stands in the congregation of the
- 26:11mighty. He judges among the gods.
- 26:16There is a divine council, a group of deities presiding over
- 26:20human affairs. But over time Yahweh declares
- 26:23himself the supreme God, demanding exclusive worship.
- 26:28Could this be because Yahweh was once just one of many Anunnaki
- 26:32rulers, but later sought total control?
- 26:37Ancient texts suggest the Anunnaki had rivalries,
- 26:40conflicts over land and power. If Yahweh was originally a
- 26:45regional deity, did he turn against his fellow gods,
- 26:49demanding that only he be worshipped?
- 26:53In Exodus, Yahweh repeatedly warns against the worship of
- 26:56other gods, but he never denies their existence.
- 27:00He refers to himself as a jealous God, implying
- 27:03competition. The first commandment states You
- 27:08shall have no other gods before me.
- 27:38The Bible speaks of 70 nations. Ancient Near Eastern traditions
- 27:43often mentioned a divine council of 70 gods.
- 27:46The Canaanites worshipped L and his seventy sons.
- 27:50The Egyptians had the Ennead, a council of gods overseeing
- 27:53creation. The Greeks had the Olympians, a
- 27:57group of ruling deities In Hinduism, the Devas and Asuras
- 28:03divided the world. What if these different gods
- 28:07were the same Anunnaki rulers, each with a different name, in
- 28:11different cultures? What if the division of the
- 28:14world among the gods was not just a myth, but a historical
- 28:19event? The Old Testament is filled with
- 28:22stories of Yahweh fighting against other gods, destroying
- 28:26their temples and punishing those who worshipped them.
- 28:31Baal, the Canaanite storm God, was overthrown.
- 28:36Marduk's influence faded after the fall of Babylon.
- 28:40Dagon, the Philistine God, was humiliated when his statue fell
- 28:44before the Ark of the Covenant. But why?
- 28:48Why did these once powerful deities disappear?
- 28:51What if they didn't? What if the war between Yahweh
- 28:55and the other gods was not just spiritual, but real?
- 28:59Did Yahweh wage a war against the other Anunnaki rulers,
- 29:03erasing their presence and rewriting history to make
- 29:06himself the one true God? If so, where did the other
- 29:12Anunnaki go? Did they abandon Earth?
- 29:16If the Bible is a retelling of Mesopotamian myths, if Yahweh
- 29:20was once just one of many Anunnaki rulers, then the
- 29:24question isn't just who they were, it's what happened to
- 29:27them. The.
