A frantic search is underway on Lake Wedowee in east Alabama after a boat struck an underwater stump, tossing two men into the water—20-year-old operator injured and hospitalized, 22-year-old Russell H. Clanton missing. Dive teams from Clay and Randolph counties, Alexander City Rescue Squad, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, and ALEA Marine Patrol are combing the area near the Big River.
