  Today, May 17th, life made for a purpose.

  There are moments when life just feels random, like things happen
• 0:17
  to you without reason, without order, without anyone really
• 0:20
  steering the ship. A friendship ends out of
• 0:23
  nowhere, a plan falls apart. You work hard and it doesn't
• 0:27
  seem to make a difference. And in those moments, it's
• 0:30
  tempting to wonder, does any of this actually mean anything?
• 0:35
  Does my life have a point? Proverbs chapter 16, verse 4
• 0:39
  speaks into that exact question. The Lord has made everything for
• 0:43
  its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
• 0:46
  That's a striking verse because it doesn't just say the good
• 0:50
  things have purpose. It says everything does, even
• 0:54
  the difficult things, even the things that don't make sense to
• 0:57
  you right now. God is not improvising.
• 1:00
  He is not scrambling to fix a story that went sideways.
• 1:04
  He is sovereignly, intentionally, purposefully
• 1:06
  working in all of it. That doesn't make hard things
• 1:09
  easy, but it does mean they're not meaningless.

  Psalm 55, verse 23. Add something deeply personal to
• 1:17
  that truth. Cast your burden on the Lord,
• 1:19
  and He will sustain you. He will never permit the
• 1:22
  righteous to be moved. The word cast is active.
• 1:26
  It's deliberate. It's not a passive hope that
• 1:29
  maybe God will notice your burden.
• 1:31
  It's an intentional handing over.
• 1:33
  You pick up what's weighing you down and you throw it on to him.
• 1:37
  And the promise is that he will sustain you.
• 1:40
  He will hold you up. He will not let you be
• 1:42
  permanently shaken. This is such a relevant word for
• 1:46
  where a lot of young people find themselves anxious about the
• 1:50
  future, exhausted by pressures that never seem to let up,
• 1:54
  hurting over things they don't have words for.
• 1:58
  God is saying you don't have to carry that alone, give it to me
• 2:01
  and I will keep you standing. Then Second Corinthians chapter
• 2:05
  5, verse 18 unfolds your calling in the most beautiful way.

  All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to
• 2:14
  Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
• 2:18
  You have been given a ministry, a purpose, not just a general
• 2:23
  sense of meaning, but a specific calling to be someone who brings
• 2:26
  God's love and restoration into broken spaces.
• 2:30
  Your school, your home, your friend group, your community.
• 2:33
  These are your mission field. Think about what that means
• 2:36
  practically. The friend who's going through
• 2:39
  something hard and needs someone to just show up.
• 2:42
  The classmate who feels like an outsider.
• 2:45
  The family member who's been difficult to love lately.
• 2:48
  Those are not inconveniences in your story.
• 2:51
  There are opportunities to live out the very reason God placed
• 2:54
  you where you are. And here's the thing about your
• 2:58
  struggles. They don't disqualify you from
• 3:00
  that mission. They actually prepare you for
• 3:02
  it. Because the people around you
• 3:04
  don't need someone who has it all together.
• 3:07
  They need someone who has walked through hard things and still
• 3:10
  chose to trust God. Someone who can say, I've been
• 3:13
  there and here's what got me through.
• 3:15
  Your life has meaning. Your pain has purpose, and God
• 3:20
  wants to use both to make a difference in the world around
• 3:22
  you. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for the reminder that nothing in my
• 3:28
  life is wasted, Not the good parts and not the hard parts.
• 3:33
  Help me to cast my burdens onto You instead of carrying them
• 3:36
  alone, and to trust that You are sustaining me even when I can't
• 3:39
  feel it. Show me how to walk in the
• 3:42
  calling You've given me, to be a messenger of Your love and
• 3:45
  reconciliation in every space I occupy.
• 3:48
  Use my life, all of it for your purpose, in Jesus name, Amen.

  of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on

  behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us.

  We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God for him who

  knew no sin, He made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we
• 10:16
  might become the righteousness of God.
