- 0:33Speaker 2: the beloved Chief stew On below deck.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Do you did you watch the episode? I did? Yeah,
- 0:41Speaker 3: really good.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I was kind of hooked. I used to watch all
- 0:44Speaker 2: the time, so I'm going to get back into it.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 2: She's hilarious.
- 0:49Speaker 3: She she is. She's very vibrant. I know, I know.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I was like, where does she have all that energy
- 0:55Speaker 3: all the time?
- 0:56Speaker 2: I don't know, But I need to ask her about
- 0:57Speaker 2: poop in a in a bucket?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Let's bring her in, Okay, is that the first question
- 1:03Speaker 3: you have?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Might be it might be the second.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Okay, You're going to ease into it.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Hello, Hillo, how are you?
- 1:15Speaker 4: I'm very well? How are you going?
- 1:17Speaker 2: We're good? Now I have to ask have we met before,
- 1:20Speaker 2: like a Bravo con or anything.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Yeah? I don't.
- 1:23Speaker 5: I mean I can't remember specifically, but I feel like
- 1:26Speaker 5: we've seen high to each other at bravo.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Con Okay, good, that's what I thought. But I was sure,
- 1:31Speaker 2: you know how.
- 1:31Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:33Speaker 4: The exact moment, in what room it was in. But
- 1:35Speaker 4: I feel like we've definitely seen Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 2: So I want to start out by saying, congratulations, I
- 1:45Speaker 2: heard you got engaged. You said you were completely surprised.
- 1:50Speaker 2: How was it?
- 1:52Speaker 4: It was?
- 1:52Speaker 5: I it was amazing, it was so so cool. So
- 1:58Speaker 5: it was yeah, it was just like, please surprise. I
- 2:00Speaker 5: see to Scott. I always said I wanted to be
- 2:03Speaker 5: super low key, sentimental and a total surprise, and it
- 2:07Speaker 5: was all of those things. Down at like my favorite
- 2:11Speaker 5: beach in the world. You can only hike there. And
- 2:14Speaker 5: i'd see to my best friend, like just a few
- 2:16Speaker 5: days before, you know, Homemaga Bay is my dream place
- 2:19Speaker 5: to get engaged, and.
- 2:20Speaker 4: She's like, really is it? Well?
- 2:22Speaker 5: Should I should I tip Scott off? Should I tell him?
- 2:24Speaker 5: I was like, he used to tell him, Maybe he'll
- 2:26Speaker 5: do it.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I love that his name is Scott and your last
- 2:30Speaker 2: name is Scott.
- 2:31Speaker 5: I know, well we we've always said that when we
- 2:34Speaker 5: get married, he's going to take my last name, so
- 2:37Speaker 5: he becomes got Scott Scott.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and that Gott Scott.
- 2:42Speaker 4: But now that we're now that we're engaged.
- 2:45Speaker 5: I was like, I do just want you to check
- 2:47Speaker 5: with your dad and just and just make sure that
- 2:50Speaker 5: your family won't be like offended or whatever if you
- 2:53Speaker 5: if you give up your last name.
- 2:55Speaker 4: But yeah, we'll see. So you can't go past Scott Scott.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Who else gets the opportunities?
- 3:00Speaker 2: I know, well we can go Scottie Scott. Yeah, it's
- 3:04Speaker 2: like it's like Marky Mark.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gone.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Speaking of weddings, I heard you were at Captain Sandy's
- 3:13Speaker 2: wedding recently.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Yes, it was awesome.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I'm assuming it was probably filmed for the show, so
- 3:21Speaker 2: you probably can't say much about it.
- 3:23Speaker 5: There were some cameras there, yes, but I mean it
- 3:28Speaker 5: was all on social media too, so I don't think
- 3:30Speaker 5: it's just it's a huge secret. But it was. It
- 3:33Speaker 5: was beautiful. It was in true Sandy style on a Soupriot.
- 3:37Speaker 5: It was my first time on a soupriocht as a guest,
- 3:40Speaker 5: stepping champagne.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Very excited.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Oh they did they have enough champagne?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 3:47Speaker 2: They they didn't run out, they didn't have to water
- 3:51Speaker 2: taxi it over to you.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Lucky for them and lucky for them they.
- 3:55Speaker 5: Didn't run out, and it was really awesome, like everyone
- 3:59Speaker 5: was just crying and they both looked beautiful.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Another congratulations, you just bought a house together. Now I'm
- 4:06Speaker 2: so excited. There's no more pooping in.
- 4:08Speaker 3: A bucket happening.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And how long did you live in that converted ambulance?
- 4:15Speaker 4: Well, we can't.
- 4:16Speaker 5: We lived in it on and off for a couple
- 4:19Speaker 5: of years. After the first six months together, we're like, oh,
- 4:24Speaker 5: it is quite a small space just for two people.
- 4:27Speaker 5: So he stayed in the ambulance and I moved into
- 4:29Speaker 5: a place with his friend. But you know, we go
- 4:31Speaker 5: away every weekend and.
- 4:33Speaker 4: All of that.
- 4:34Speaker 5: But you know what, I'm so happy and I bought
- 4:36Speaker 5: the house. It's so cool. It's so fun. But I
- 4:39Speaker 5: did literally just call him yesterday and I'm like, I'm
- 4:42Speaker 5: most like the pooping in a bucket.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And bang out?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Can we do that?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Do you you really miss the pooping in a bucket?
- 4:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it's such a beautiful experience.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Just look around at like all the dirt and the
- 4:57Speaker 5: beautiful plants around you, and it's it's just really.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I'm going to have to try that.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I met our We have a house and big Bear
- 5:04Speaker 2: in the mountains, and I'm oh, and I love it
- 5:07Speaker 2: because it's all the trees and everything. I'm going to
- 5:08Speaker 2: put a bucket outside and say.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I want you to do that, and then I want
- 5:12Speaker 1: you to report back. I want you to get every
- 5:14Speaker 1: time you go to Big Bear. I want you to
- 5:15Speaker 1: tell Eddie that the two of you have to poop
- 5:18Speaker 1: in a bucket while you're in there.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Oh, that's how you do it.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Is there like a bag in the bucket. Then you
- 5:22Speaker 2: just tie it and throw it away.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I hope.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Oh no, we actually just do it straight in the
- 5:27Speaker 5: bucket and then we kind of like dig a big
- 5:29Speaker 5: hole and pour it in there and then like hose
- 5:31Speaker 5: it out. But please, please, can you do that and
- 5:37Speaker 5: take some photos, write down some notes on how you
- 5:40Speaker 5: are feeling, and let me know you're about your experience afterwards.
- 5:44Speaker 3: The world wants to know.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it could be a full time job with me
- 5:50Speaker 2: out in the woods. I like poop seven times a
- 5:53Speaker 2: day so that you're oh luck it.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, it is such an issue.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You can't go anywhere her without her literally all of
- 6:01Speaker 1: a sudden, grabbing her ass and running like it just
- 6:04Speaker 1: comes out of nowhere.
- 6:04Speaker 3: She just starts.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You'll be walking down the sidewalk and all of a sudden,
- 6:08Speaker 1: she grabs her butt and she just takes off running,
- 6:09Speaker 1: and you're like, what does happen?
- 6:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, how do you get that? I want that?
- 6:15Speaker 4: I love her?
- 6:16Speaker 3: You really don't.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It's actually a problem.
- 6:18Speaker 4: You really are. Oh no, you need a butt plug
- 6:21Speaker 4: or something.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Yeah, she does for real.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Emily from Emily. For my birthday, I was like a
- 6:26Speaker 2: butt plug from you.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'll get you one with I'll get you one with
- 6:29Speaker 1: like a bunny tail on the end of it.
- 6:30Speaker 4: So it's oh, yeah, yeah, nice, I like that.
- 6:35Speaker 3: How do you how do you envision your wedding? What's
- 6:37Speaker 3: your style?
- 6:39Speaker 5: So we want to do a wedding in New Zealand
- 6:42Speaker 5: in the summer. We want to do a long engagement,
- 6:45Speaker 5: so it won't be this summer. It will be nixt summer,
- 6:47Speaker 5: which will be February twenty twenty six, which I know
- 6:50Speaker 5: sounds like a long time away, but we we do.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Scott's half American's his mom's from California, so we've got
- 6:57Speaker 5: a lot of American friends and family. We just want
- 7:00Speaker 5: to give everyone a long enough time that they can
- 7:02Speaker 5: save and apply for time off work and all of that.
- 7:04Speaker 4: And into a holiday. So yeah, so we want to
- 7:09Speaker 4: do I mean my dream.
- 7:11Speaker 5: We both want to do it outside and I've got
- 7:13Speaker 5: this beautiful place that i want to do it at,
- 7:16Speaker 5: hopefully cliff side looking out at the.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Ocean, the wind in life here. Just very very.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Wholesome, outdoorsy kind of wedding, but big and beautiful.
- 7:27Speaker 3: That sounds amazing.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Will you have buckets to poopa?
- 7:33Speaker 5: I actually find a range some so Scott and I
- 7:36Speaker 5: can do it to aratory.
- 7:38Speaker 4: One side by side looking out.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I mean you dazzle them or something for the wedding.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Yea great? Okay.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Do you get anxiety knowing that the season is going
- 8:03Speaker 1: to come out? Like, does it give you any kind
- 8:05Speaker 1: of feels anxiety?
- 8:06Speaker 3: Do you get anxious? Do you feel nervous?
- 8:10Speaker 5: No?
- 8:11Speaker 4: I just feel really really excited.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I mean, you know, some of the moments, I was
- 8:16Speaker 5: pretty drunk, so I don't remember all of it the night,
- 8:20Speaker 5: so there are these little bits here and there where
- 8:22Speaker 5: you're like, oh, I'm not sure what I did that night,
- 8:24Speaker 5: but I just I know as a whole I did
- 8:27Speaker 5: a really good job and mostly behaved. So no, I
- 8:32Speaker 5: just get really excited.
- 8:34Speaker 2: So I have a question because I'm a little bit confused.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I actually was asked to be on Below Deck Adventure.
- 8:42Speaker 2: This was like during the pandemic, like re towards the
- 8:44Speaker 2: end of the pandemic, and then it just didn't end
- 8:46Speaker 2: up working for me because I ended up getting asked
- 8:49Speaker 2: to Beyond Ultimate Girls Trip.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But when when you film that, it's a very short trip, right,
- 8:56Speaker 2: it's only like three days out there?
- 8:59Speaker 4: Is that more?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Is that normal? Or do you when you work on
- 9:03Speaker 2: the yacht, is it usually when you're not filming, Is
- 9:07Speaker 2: it usually longer than that?
- 9:09Speaker 5: Yeah, So when if you're going to have guests on
- 9:11Speaker 5: a yacht when you're not filming, the standard time is
- 9:15Speaker 5: about ten.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Days per trip.
- 9:18Speaker 5: But it's you know, that would just make it way
- 9:21Speaker 5: too easy to be entertaining TV because when you have
- 9:24Speaker 5: people on for ten days, you memorize their preferences really quickly.
- 9:29Speaker 4: You get used to their schedule. This is what time
- 9:30Speaker 4: they wake up.
- 9:31Speaker 5: You can adjust all your girls like what time they
- 9:33Speaker 5: start work, and you stock the fridges once. But when
- 9:37Speaker 5: we're getting nine trips like three days, three days, three days,
- 9:41Speaker 5: three days, it is so intense because nine times I
- 9:45Speaker 5: have to learn new preferences. I've got to empty the fridge,
- 9:49Speaker 5: restock the fridge with everything they want, redo the bar
- 9:51Speaker 5: with the exact spirits that they want.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I've got to do.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Order lists and it's just it's so much work.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what makes it so entertaining.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I watched that. We both watched the first episode, and
- 10:05Speaker 2: thank you. You guys work your ass off.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah, oh it's so it looks so hard it looks
- 10:13Speaker 1: and dealing with the guests, I have to give you
- 10:15Speaker 1: guys props because I and I would want to throw
- 10:19Speaker 1: them overboard.
- 10:19Speaker 2: How do you always influence?
- 10:22Speaker 5: Yes?
- 10:22Speaker 1: And okay, did you notice because I'm sure when you
- 10:24Speaker 1: watch the episode, I have to give credit to the
- 10:26Speaker 1: editors because every time it showed them making content, they
- 10:29Speaker 1: would put sick content down at the.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Corner, and I was like, I thought it was so
- 10:34Speaker 3: funny and so shady. Yeah, I didn't get sad either.
- 10:39Speaker 3: A couple of times they put sick content.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And I was like, oh my god, that is hilarious.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But I have to give you props for having like
- 10:46Speaker 1: such a professional demeanor because I would want to throw
- 10:50Speaker 1: them over the ship.
- 10:51Speaker 2: How annoying were they?
- 10:53Speaker 5: You know?
- 10:54Speaker 4: Do you know what? They were?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Actually incredible because I think if you if you were
- 10:59Speaker 5: paying all of their money to be on a super
- 11:01Speaker 5: yocht and they didn't have half of your alcohol, I
- 11:04Speaker 5: feel most of your order.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I feel like it gives you the right to be
- 11:07Speaker 4: quite an asshole.
- 11:09Speaker 5: And you know, they had their moments of being a
- 11:11Speaker 5: little bit disgruntled, but for the most part, they took
- 11:14Speaker 5: it so well and they were so polite, and I
- 11:17Speaker 5: really thought it was quite admirable for such young people
- 11:20Speaker 5: to act that way.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I felt it.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like you were more upset about the
- 11:25Speaker 2: alcohol not showing up and then like multiple times it
- 11:28Speaker 2: was supposed to come and it didn't show up. But
- 11:30Speaker 2: you know, they were they could have been way more annoying.
- 11:33Speaker 2: They were not as annoying as Jill Zarin was on
- 11:37Speaker 2: Below Deck. I don't know if you she was on
- 11:40Speaker 2: your show or a different ones. I know there's a
- 11:42Speaker 2: whole string of Below Deck shows.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Oh did you get to watch her? Did you see her? Antics?
- 11:51Speaker 4: I did watch it.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah, what's your take on that? Like, what's your opinion
- 11:56Speaker 3: on that?
- 11:58Speaker 5: Well, my opinion is just I wasn't in the room,
- 12:01Speaker 5: you know, I don't know I watched it, but I
- 12:04Speaker 5: don't know actually what went on. I don't know if
- 12:06Speaker 5: she was the only one complaining of everyone was So
- 12:10Speaker 5: I just feel like I can't have a stance on it.
- 12:12Speaker 5: But I will say, you know, I've spent a week
- 12:15Speaker 5: in with Jill before we did the Buffalo We did
- 12:19Speaker 5: that charity event in Buffalo together, and that was the
- 12:21Speaker 5: first time that I met her, and she was just
- 12:24Speaker 5: so kind to me.
- 12:26Speaker 4: So that's the only Gill that I know.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Now, I saw one of my Trader's cast mates is
- 12:32Speaker 2: going to be on an episode, and that's Trishelle.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Oh.
- 12:35Speaker 4: I loved Trishalle. She was great.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Yes, So I saw her in a little clip and
- 12:42Speaker 2: then she posted on her Instagram she congratulated you for
- 12:46Speaker 2: your engagement and said you were lovely to work with.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I'm assuming she was just a sweetheart.
- 12:54Speaker 5: She was such a sweetheart. Her and her whole group
- 12:57Speaker 5: were so polite and so much fun. I really love
- 13:02Speaker 5: them and I really want to go and visit them.
- 13:04Speaker 5: I really want to go and see her. She was
- 13:05Speaker 5: a great time. How was she Traders?
- 13:08Speaker 2: She was amazing? She won?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Oh did she?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yes?
- 13:13Speaker 4: She won?
- 13:13Speaker 2: Would you I know she's so good. You know, she's
- 13:16Speaker 2: a poker player.
- 13:17Speaker 3: As well.
- 13:17Speaker 2: She's very good.
- 13:19Speaker 4: You see.
- 13:20Speaker 5: That's why I would be so terrible at any sort
- 13:24Speaker 5: of show like that, because I just can't lie.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Like all of my lines have it all over my face.
- 13:29Speaker 4: It was just did you did?
- 13:32Speaker 2: I read you were on I'm a Celebrity, Get me
- 13:34Speaker 2: out of here?
- 13:35Speaker 4: Yeah, the Australian one.
- 13:37Speaker 3: How was that?
- 13:38Speaker 5: It was?
- 13:39Speaker 4: It was equal parts.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Incredible, like you know, meeting all these people with no pretense,
- 13:45Speaker 5: very wholesome, yadda, YadA YadA.
- 13:48Speaker 4: But it was also like the most boring thing I've ever.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Done in my life because you only go for trial
- 13:54Speaker 5: like twice a week, and the rest of the time
- 13:56Speaker 5: you're just sitting in camp losing your mind, like trying
- 14:00Speaker 5: to think of ways to entertain yourself. So, I mean,
- 14:03Speaker 5: it was awesome, but I probably wouldn't do it again
- 14:05Speaker 5: just because it was it was pretty boring.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Can I ask the question when you first arrive on
- 14:11Speaker 1: the ship and the crew comes in, is that the
- 14:13Speaker 1: first time that.
- 14:14Speaker 3: You're meeting your crew?
- 14:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Okay, And do you have any say in who it is?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Or you just arrive and then this is who you
- 14:23Speaker 1: get to work with.
- 14:24Speaker 5: I don't get any say and who it is and
- 14:27Speaker 5: so when we get on the boat, that's the first
- 14:29Speaker 5: time that we are seeing the boat, meeting the crew,
- 14:33Speaker 5: all of that. And so there's not like I don't
- 14:35Speaker 5: think people appreciate sometimes quite how stuff and intense the
- 14:41Speaker 5: situation is because it's like I am just joining the boat.
- 14:44Speaker 4: I've got all of these orders. Well they're supposed to
- 14:47Speaker 4: be arriving.
- 14:48Speaker 5: I have had no time to like understand the dynamic
- 14:51Speaker 5: of my crew and the personalities. I can't do any training,
- 14:54Speaker 5: and it's like the guests arrive in twenty four hours
- 14:57Speaker 5: and I'm still like, what's in this cupboard?
- 15:00Speaker 4: What's in this cupboard? Where will I peck this away?
- 15:03Speaker 5: And it's just it truly is the hardest thing that
- 15:06Speaker 5: I've ever done in my life. But I guess that's
- 15:09Speaker 5: what makes it so rewarding too, when you get to
- 15:11Speaker 5: the end and finish.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, when you first meet your crew, do you have
- 15:15Speaker 1: any immediate like you see them and you think, oh, no,
- 15:18Speaker 1: like there's going to be problems with this one or
- 15:21Speaker 1: these two are going to be an issue, or this one.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Do you have any preconceived notions like right when you
- 15:27Speaker 1: first meet your crew.
- 15:28Speaker 5: Well, I'm such a glass half full person that it's
- 15:31Speaker 5: like every season, every person I meet, I'm like, you know,
- 15:35Speaker 5: because everyone's putting me best foot forward as they meet
- 15:39Speaker 5: the chiefs show and then it's not until this season
- 15:42Speaker 5: goes on you're like, ah, you're actually like a little
- 15:44Speaker 5: bit sneakier, You're a bit lazier. You know, the truth,
- 15:48Speaker 5: the true, the true personalities come out when people get tired. Right.
- 15:52Speaker 1: So I have another question though, because I know it
- 15:54Speaker 1: shows like in the in the previews for the remaining season,
- 15:57Speaker 1: it shows hooking up and all that kind of stuff.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Explain to me, how do people hook up in those
- 16:02Speaker 1: small rooms.
- 16:03Speaker 3: In the bunk? How does that? There's a will?
- 16:06Speaker 4: There's a way exactly. If you get people horny enough,
- 16:10Speaker 4: they're gonna find away.
- 16:11Speaker 2: And yeah, good looking crew, Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 4: There is a very good looking crew.
- 16:18Speaker 5: And you know, we're stuck on these boats for we're
- 16:21Speaker 5: on there for like six and a half weeks with
- 16:24Speaker 5: no contact with the outside world. And so you know,
- 16:27Speaker 5: someone that you thought was a three when you joined.
- 16:31Speaker 4: They be coming in prettybody quick.
- 16:34Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So if you need to So if I need to
- 16:37Speaker 1: like rekindle my marriage, I should got.
- 16:39Speaker 2: The ship with shame or or you're going to kill
- 16:43Speaker 2: each other.
- 16:45Speaker 3: We're going to throw him overboard.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Now you were.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Working under Captain Sandy, Now after working with Captain Jason,
- 16:53Speaker 2: is there a different steel like working with one over
- 16:56Speaker 2: the other?
- 16:57Speaker 4: Do you know what I thought?
- 16:59Speaker 5: And first, there was a difference in the sense that
- 17:02Speaker 5: Jason and I were very much like.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Brother sister type relationship. Like I never really viewed him
- 17:09Speaker 4: as my superior.
- 17:10Speaker 5: He was more just like my friend and my colleague.
- 17:15Speaker 5: And I felt like with Sandy it was going to
- 17:17Speaker 5: be very because you know, I just respect her so
- 17:20Speaker 5: much and she's very professional. I thought that it might
- 17:23Speaker 5: be more like Captain Stewardess type relationship, even though we
- 17:27Speaker 5: are friends in real life and I go and see
- 17:29Speaker 5: her in Denver. But when throughout the season, we honestly
- 17:34Speaker 5: just got on so insanely well that as the season
- 17:38Speaker 5: went on, we did morph into the same relationship that
- 17:41Speaker 5: I had with Jason. And you know, I'd go and
- 17:44Speaker 5: knock on a Kevin Dore and show us some funny
- 17:47Speaker 5: men or not that I had time to look at names,
- 17:49Speaker 5: but you know, we'd kind of like take a few
- 17:51Speaker 5: moments to set and giggle and laugh and just be
- 17:54Speaker 5: friends amongst all the craziness.
- 17:57Speaker 2: So they're equally a sweet very much.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Now, is there a big difference in filming below dak
- 18:03Speaker 2: Mediterranean versus down Under?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Yeah? I do think that the biggest difference is just
- 18:09Speaker 5: the standard. You know, the Mediterranean is the home of yachting.
- 18:13Speaker 5: It's like that seven star insanely high standard, very classy,
- 18:18Speaker 5: very formal, and whereas Australia still a very high standard
- 18:23Speaker 5: because it's a super yacht, but it is more focused
- 18:26Speaker 5: on this, you know, being more laid back, the diving,
- 18:31Speaker 5: the snorkeling, the outdoor activities. So I mean, I love
- 18:35Speaker 5: being back in the med because I was trained in
- 18:37Speaker 5: that very formal style, so it was cool to be
- 18:39Speaker 5: able to bring that through a bit more.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Now, what are your exact responsibilities as chief ste Chief Stu?
- 18:58Speaker 5: You're basically responsible for everything so the guest, the guest experience.
- 19:03Speaker 4: So I am in charge of service and.
- 19:08Speaker 5: Overseeing housekeeping, maybe making sure the standard of housekeeping is upheld. Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 5: delegating duties for my girls, making sure that the deck
- 19:19Speaker 5: crew know the movements, what the guests, what activities, and
- 19:22Speaker 5: guests want to do when they want to come, when
- 19:24Speaker 5: they want to go, liaising, with the chef about preferences,
- 19:28Speaker 5: what's what's for all the what is for all the meals?
- 19:30Speaker 4: It just feels like everything you know.
- 19:34Speaker 1: In that first episode, can I ask a question was
- 19:37Speaker 1: was the chef should he have gotten out of bad?
- 19:40Speaker 1: I was wondering and one in the morning, like, what
- 19:43Speaker 1: was his responsibility?
- 19:44Speaker 3: Should he have gotten up in mid grilled cheese?
- 19:46Speaker 1: Or was he in the right to say no, I'm
- 19:49Speaker 1: going to sleep, Like what's your team there?
- 19:51Speaker 3: His responsibility?
- 19:53Speaker 5: That's a really tricky one because in my opinion, he
- 19:57Speaker 5: should have gotten up because every boat that I've if
- 20:01Speaker 5: the guests really want food, you go and wake up
- 20:03Speaker 5: the chef and he gets Like every boat I've worked
- 20:06Speaker 5: on it's been like that, but you know every boat
- 20:10Speaker 5: is different.
- 20:11Speaker 4: And Sandy said, don't wake up the chef, and so
- 20:13Speaker 4: that's the final word.
- 20:14Speaker 5: And yeah, but yeah, yeah, I don't know if I
- 20:18Speaker 5: was John and I would have gotten up.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Now she she woke him up twice.
- 20:22Speaker 5: He was.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Not making girl cheese.
- 20:26Speaker 5: No, Yeah, And it's tricky because the thing is, it's
- 20:30Speaker 5: not the stewardess's responsibility to make food, you know, It's
- 20:34Speaker 5: like she should have if it was just her making
- 20:37Speaker 5: drinks since she would have been able to stay on
- 20:39Speaker 5: top of all of her duties and it would have
- 20:41Speaker 5: been fine. But because she's having to go to the
- 20:43Speaker 5: galley and it's like a galley on a boat, we
- 20:46Speaker 5: don't really know how to work all of those appliances.
- 20:48Speaker 5: It's not the same as a kitchen at the house.
- 20:51Speaker 5: And I just, I just really strongly think that that's
- 20:54Speaker 5: not her responsibility. I have never gone into a galley
- 20:57Speaker 5: and made food for guess, because that's not my department.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Is it your guys's responsibility to be at their back
- 21:02Speaker 2: and call twenty four to seven?
- 21:05Speaker 5: Well, that's that's where you need to take it upon
- 21:09Speaker 5: yourself to have some boundaries and be able to like
- 21:14Speaker 5: manage drunk people, because that's why, you know. I what
- 21:18Speaker 5: I would do instead is, which is what John has
- 21:21Speaker 5: started doing, is I would be like, can you please
- 21:23Speaker 5: like pre makes and sandwiches.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Let's do steps X.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Y Z, so if they do get drunk, if they
- 21:30Speaker 5: do this, I can manage it. And then if it
- 21:31Speaker 5: gets to a certain point you're like, I'm very sorry.
- 21:34Speaker 4: This is all we can.
- 21:35Speaker 5: Do, you know, And you just need to draw the
- 21:39Speaker 5: line somewhere and when they're wasted.
- 21:40Speaker 4: They're not going to remember that in the morning anyway.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Very true, I tell you, because that scene was stressing
- 21:46Speaker 1: me out. I felt so badly for her. Were like,
- 21:49Speaker 1: where's my moo I ordered forty five minutes ago, and
- 21:52Speaker 1: that she's that she was trying to wake up the
- 21:55Speaker 1: shaf and I felt so badly for her.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I would have lost my mind in that area.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Do you feel like there's more drama with the guas
- 22:03Speaker 2: this season or the staff?
- 22:06Speaker 5: Definitely with the staff. You'll see as the season goes on.
- 22:10Speaker 5: There there is a lot of drama, mainly in my
- 22:14Speaker 5: department unfortunately, but I feel like that's often the way
- 22:18Speaker 5: it goes because the interior is just so stressful. But
- 22:22Speaker 5: I mean the interior in terms of our service with
- 22:26Speaker 5: the guests was impeakable because I wouldn't allow anything else.
- 22:29Speaker 5: But there is a lot of internal below deck below
- 22:32Speaker 5: deck drama within my department.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Is there anyone that after the end of the season
- 22:39Speaker 1: that you weren't talking.
- 22:40Speaker 4: To No, I'm talking to everyone, which is really nice.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Okay, Well, you seem like you have a very waviations
- 22:48Speaker 1: and fun personality that I don't feel like you harbor
- 22:52Speaker 1: any type of toxicity like, I feel like you're someone
- 22:55Speaker 1: that would just just deal with it, move on and
- 22:59Speaker 1: get onto the.
- 22:59Speaker 5: No, for sure, for sure, there's no point holding negative
- 23:04Speaker 5: energy in your life.
- 23:05Speaker 4: So thank you.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Let's play a little game. Let's say, hypothetically, speaking below
- 23:12Speaker 2: Dak Mediterranean Season ten, is you Hannah and keep Chasting?
- 23:18Speaker 3: Who is chief?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Who is first, and who is second? Still in the scenario.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I would do.
- 23:29Speaker 5: I would do Kate's first, because I think she is
- 23:32Speaker 5: so clever and so wetty that she's just like, she's
- 23:38Speaker 5: so funny to deal with the guests. Uh.
- 23:40Speaker 4: And then I'll do Hannah, and then.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I'll do myself because I want to respect the ogs
- 23:44Speaker 5: and and I'm happy to be below both of them.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Ah.
- 23:48Speaker 2: So you never worked with keep Chasting?
- 23:50Speaker 4: No, never worked with her.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I would have loved to have worm with her because
- 23:53Speaker 5: I think she's brilliant.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I love her.
- 23:56Speaker 4: She's kowai, she's serious, funny. Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So now that you're going, now that you're engaged and
- 24:03Speaker 1: you're going to get married, how are you going to
- 24:04Speaker 1: navigate having a career, being on a boat, being married
- 24:08Speaker 1: all those things? Do you have a plan or you're
- 24:10Speaker 1: just going to kind of just wing it? And see
- 24:12Speaker 1: how it goes.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I think I'll just carry on the
- 24:16Speaker 5: exact same way that I'm going.
- 24:18Speaker 4: You know, I'm very.
- 24:20Speaker 5: I think the only reason that Scott and I work
- 24:23Speaker 5: as well as we do is because ever since we
- 24:25Speaker 5: got together four years ago, he just lets.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Me do anything that I want to do. You know,
- 24:31Speaker 4: he knows that these are my dreams. He knows it's
- 24:33Speaker 4: my career.
- 24:33Speaker 5: And luckily we're so secure and stable in our relationship
- 24:37Speaker 5: that he's like, you go and do you go do
- 24:39Speaker 5: the filming. You go, do what you need to do,
- 24:42Speaker 5: and when you're finished, are we here waiting for you
- 24:45Speaker 5: with open arms. So I don't see anything changing.
- 24:48Speaker 2: How much filming do you do in a year?
- 24:51Speaker 5: So at the moment, I'm just doing their below deck filming,
- 24:54Speaker 5: which is the two months two months of the year,
- 24:57Speaker 5: and then you know, if something else comes up, like
- 25:00Speaker 5: mister Leeb last year there was another month, so things
- 25:03Speaker 5: come up, But usually two to three months of the year.
- 25:07Speaker 1: When you film those two months, I assume there's no
- 25:09Speaker 1: there is no time that the cameras are off, is
- 25:11Speaker 1: there or are they just twenty four or seven? Because
- 25:13Speaker 1: I mean with housewives, it feels like a lot, and
- 25:16Speaker 1: it's four months of filming, but there is down time
- 25:19Speaker 1: when there's not cameras in our faces. But in your scenario,
- 25:23Speaker 1: there's never any there's never a moment when there isn't
- 25:25Speaker 1: a camera around.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Is that there's nowhere you can actually go and have
- 25:30Speaker 3: a moment.
- 25:31Speaker 5: No, it's twenty four to seven the whole time, And
- 25:35Speaker 5: I think the.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Reason it's, you know, we do have shorter filming.
- 25:38Speaker 5: But it's so intense because it's literally six and a
- 25:41Speaker 5: half weeks of sixteen hour days every single day, like
- 25:47Speaker 5: working the hardest you've ever worked in your life on
- 25:50Speaker 5: like four hours sleep, and you know, being the Chiefs show,
- 25:53Speaker 5: I don't really take many breaks because it stresses me out.
- 25:56Speaker 5: And it's just like a lot. So I think I
- 26:00Speaker 5: think I like doing it. More than more than once
- 26:04Speaker 5: a year would be too much.
- 26:07Speaker 4: It would be too much.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And I want to thank you so much for jumping
- 26:10Speaker 2: in the twat seat today.
- 26:12Speaker 4: And oh tats.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so everybody tune in to Season nine of Below
- 26:18Speaker 2: Deck med begins airing in June on Mondays on Bravo
