- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All right, here's what's happened
- 0:07Speaker 1: this week on the one that up on news and
- 0:09Speaker 1: about socialists who wants everything free and who's anti Israel
- 0:13Speaker 1: by the way, and I've heard rumors he wants who
- 0:17Speaker 1: arrest Jewish people. I hope that's not true. But Zora
- 0:21Speaker 1: Mamdani upsetting the moderates on the Democratic ticket, one being
- 0:28Speaker 1: Andrew Cuomo. That's number one that happened this week. Operations
- 0:33Speaker 1: that led to the successful bombing of Irene's nuclear sites leaked.
- 0:40Speaker 1: More intel leaks going on at the Pentagon, and heg
- 0:43Speaker 1: Seth and Trump are trying to get to the bottom
- 0:45Speaker 1: of it, as is Pam Baldi. And oh, by the way,
- 0:49Speaker 1: some major Supreme court wins for Trump yesterday. And you
- 0:54Speaker 1: might not consider a win, but look, if a federal
- 0:56Speaker 1: judge does not have a power of the entire land,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and that's a win, Why are federal judges given so
- 1:01Speaker 1: much power? That to me is king you know what
- 1:08Speaker 1: they said, No, kings, that's kingdomship right there. When a
- 1:11Speaker 1: judge has ruled over the entire land, it shouldn't work
- 1:16Speaker 1: that way. The judicial system should not work that way.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So Trump got some big legal wins as well. But
- 1:20Speaker 1: you know what the number one thing that I saw
- 1:23Speaker 1: today that USA Today and other outlets are talking about,
- 1:26Speaker 1: how about the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Give me a freaking break. New York City is on
- 1:34Speaker 1: the verge of electing someone that is so extreme and
- 1:39Speaker 1: to the left, and somehow all the Democrats are rallying around.
- 1:44Speaker 1: I don't understand that one, but to the left that
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'm sure even moderate Democrats will not put on the
- 1:51Speaker 1: Democrat ticket this year. We hope not anyway, New York
- 1:57Speaker 1: City just like to someone that's de Blasio two point,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I know and beyond. But the USA Today says, hey,
- 2:04Speaker 1: guess what Lord said as Jeff Bezos are married? Whooo
- 2:08Speaker 1: starts aunt an event? Who gives a shit? And I
- 2:12Speaker 1: will curse on the back because I can't. But who
- 2:14Speaker 1: gives a shit when we are about to elect a
- 2:18Speaker 1: freaking socialist to New York City? I don't give a crap.
- 2:23Speaker 1: What happened in Italy this week? Ooh mannequins mocking Jeff
- 2:28Speaker 1: Bezos floating in the venice. Who cares they could take
- 2:33Speaker 1: their gondolas and have Mamdani out there with them. I'm
- 2:38Speaker 1: dead serious. This is this is this is really bad
- 2:41Speaker 1: for New York. But us today, don't worry about us.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Don't worry about your headquartered city as well, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 1: because I know you got writers out here too. This
- 2:51Speaker 1: is all impacting us. And I love Curtis Lee. Well,
- 2:55Speaker 1: he's my radio mentor, and he is a man of
- 3:00Speaker 1: New York City with the Guarden Angels and just his
- 3:03Speaker 1: presence everywhere. I mean, you see him on Fifth Avenue
- 3:06Speaker 1: for all the parades, you see him on TV, hear
- 3:10Speaker 1: him on radio. He's the man of New York. But
- 3:14Speaker 1: in this context, even though we have an indicted mayor
- 3:20Speaker 1: that is now running again and Adams has his own
- 3:24Speaker 1: flaws too, Eric Adams needs to be the guy to
- 3:30Speaker 1: take on Mom Donnie, you cannot try Cuomo again. Cuomo
- 3:35Speaker 1: himself should know for the better of the city, this
- 3:38Speaker 1: was a vanity run. He wanted to see if he
- 3:40Speaker 1: can truly recover from what happened as governor. Everybody's highlighting
- 3:45Speaker 1: the sexual assault cases, but who really seems to care
- 3:48Speaker 1: that he also did these nursing gear home policies that
- 3:51Speaker 1: did kill a lot of people during COVID and he
- 3:55Speaker 1: made five billion dollars on a book, and he thought
- 4:02Speaker 1: he could resurrect his political career. And I was telling
- 4:06Speaker 1: people this week. I was telling people this week that him,
- 4:15Speaker 1: what's the conceding to Zora mam donnie, a proclaimed socialist,
- 4:22Speaker 1: a far leftist, is worse than him resigning as governor.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I think we can all hite him resigning. You know,
- 4:32Speaker 1: Wiener had his problems, Bill Clinton has problems. Cuomo had
- 4:35Speaker 1: his problems, but there were moderate Democrats. You just conceded
- 4:41Speaker 1: to a far left candidate. That is embarrassing that you,
- 4:45Speaker 1: in your common sense platform cannot overcome this far left
- 4:51Speaker 1: mum donnie. It's embarrassing Andrew Cuomo and Sliva. I admire
- 4:58Speaker 1: his guts. I admire his push to try and be elected.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You know, he ran in twenty one against Adams as well,
- 5:05Speaker 1: try and be elected against Adams. But something's got to
- 5:09Speaker 1: break here. You cannot have four candidates that and three
- 5:15Speaker 1: of them trying to stop mum donnie. That will split
- 5:17Speaker 1: a ticket. That will split the ticket. So I really
- 5:23Speaker 1: believe as the rumblings of Sliwa getting a job in
- 5:30Speaker 1: the White House to try and get him out of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the city mayor race. We know Sleeva won't take it
- 5:36Speaker 1: because he wants to try and beat Adams. M mum, Donnie.
- 5:44Speaker 1: But the strategy is the strategy here should be the
- 5:49Speaker 1: egos are put aside for the better of New York City.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Let me tell that one more time. The egos are
- 5:57Speaker 1: put aside for the better of New York City. Quota
- 6:00Speaker 1: should realize that he got embarrassed in the Democrat He
- 6:04Speaker 1: can't even win his own party's nomination. He's not beloved anymore.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I remember twenty twenty, he was the beloved darling if
- 6:16Speaker 1: you will have the Democrats, they loved him, They loved
- 6:18Speaker 1: every press conference. He won a freaking Emmy for those
- 6:20Speaker 1: press coverages five years ago. And then he had to
- 6:28Speaker 1: resign about a year later in disgrace, and it came
- 6:31Speaker 1: out that he would have find but a book about
- 6:33Speaker 1: how he quote unquote led the city. I still never
- 6:38Speaker 1: forget when the USNS hope was on the Hudson River
- 6:41Speaker 1: being unused. That was a waste of resources. But I'm
- 6:45Speaker 1: glad Trump send it here. But why didn't Quomo use it?
- 6:51Speaker 1: There were so many politics involved with the the COVID
- 6:56Speaker 1: crisis that we forgot that there was also some disgrace
- 7:01Speaker 1: to it too, that he made five billion dollars an
- 7:08Speaker 1: Emmy for his nursing home policies that kill people. And
- 7:18Speaker 1: so at the same time of that, I did not
- 7:22Speaker 1: hear Mom Donnie's reaction to what we did to Iran,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but I'm sure he, like AOC, thought it's an impeachable offense,
- 7:29Speaker 1: which it's not. It is not when we really save
- 7:35Speaker 1: the world, I think again by doing what we did
- 7:39Speaker 1: to Iran's nuclear facilities, further destabilizing them and obliterating a
- 7:46Speaker 1: few of them actually, but it wasn't enough to destabilize
- 7:51Speaker 1: and and really get a win. The media had to
- 7:54Speaker 1: then say all the operations and all the leaks that
- 7:58Speaker 1: went behind it, causing the Pentagon and Trump again to sputter,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and those leakers should be escorted out of the Pentagon.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I said that the last time. I'll say it again,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and I'll say it every time there are leakers there,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and I pray Defense Secretary of Hexath does that swiftly.
- 8:23Speaker 1: But we were on the verge of further involvement this
- 8:27Speaker 1: week after our smart, smart move to destabilize and obliterate
- 8:36Speaker 1: nuclear facilities from Iran, but no Sanchez Bezos Jeff Bezos
- 8:44Speaker 1: marriage is top billing because who cares about real life
- 8:48Speaker 1: situations and real life stories? Right? The Jeff Bezos Lauren
- 8:55Speaker 1: Sanchez Bezos wedding should not even be on anybody's top ten.
- 8:59Speaker 1: With everything we're going through this Big Beautiful Bill, do
- 9:04Speaker 1: you know that there were senators that we're talking about
- 9:11Speaker 1: what was actually in it? And I have with me here. See,
- 9:16Speaker 1: this is a long I've been doing, waiting to do
- 9:18Speaker 1: a one leg up on news. I just haven't had
- 9:19Speaker 1: a chance. I've been hoping to talk about this with
- 9:23Speaker 1: you because there was an intriguing op ed in the
- 9:29Speaker 1: New York Post this week by one of the senators
- 9:32Speaker 1: about Medicaid cuts and the scare tactics around them. And
- 9:37Speaker 1: I'll tell you that in one second. In an article
- 9:40Speaker 1: to the New York Post this week entitled don't buy
- 9:45Speaker 1: the lies about the GOP's plan for Medicaid, We're actually
- 9:49Speaker 1: strengthening it, I found this really interesting from Brett Guthrie,
- 9:56Speaker 1: who is the representative actually of Kentucky and chairman of
- 10:12Speaker 1: the House Energy Committee. So how is Representative Guthrie? And
- 10:16Speaker 1: he wrote fully that in the Big Beautiful Bill, they're
- 10:24Speaker 1: going to extend tax cuts for Americans, invest in our
- 10:29Speaker 1: military and border security, while cutting waste, fraud, and abuse
- 10:32Speaker 1: and entitlement spending. Here's the line of this article, which
- 10:35Speaker 1: I'm going to attach in the podcast that really struck
- 10:40Speaker 1: with me. He said he wants to refocus Medicaid to
- 10:48Speaker 1: better serve the most vulnerable, which I think we can
- 10:50Speaker 1: all applaud. He wrote. You may have heard misinformation that
- 10:56Speaker 1: work requirements are just really a sneaky way to take
- 10:58Speaker 1: away health care from hardworking America or even people with disabilities.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Let me set the record straight. Repcut three wrote, this
- 11:06Speaker 1: policy applies only to able bodied, unemployed adults who have
- 11:11Speaker 1: chosen not to work, and there's a lot of that.
- 11:16Speaker 1: There should be some restrictions on who can get Medicaid
- 11:20Speaker 1: if they're able bodied and can't work. I don't buy
- 11:26Speaker 1: the whole party line if you will that, and look,
- 11:30Speaker 1: we want to say funding, We want the funding to
- 11:32Speaker 1: be correct for those who need Medicaid in the exam community.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But I won't buy the fear mongering that goes on
- 11:41Speaker 1: during all these things. Do you know at the D
- 11:46Speaker 1: D and C Coalition event there were some that were
- 11:49Speaker 1: actually applauding the MAHA movement to help those disabilities. If
- 11:54Speaker 1: you could believe that some in the disabled community think
- 11:58Speaker 1: make America Healthy Again is working, that's impressive to me.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And while we do want the funding. Here's where he
- 12:12Speaker 1: outlines this bill. You are exempt if you're medically frail,
- 12:16Speaker 1: which includes anyone who's blind, disabled, battling the chronic substance
- 12:20Speaker 1: use disorder, or living with a serious or complex and
- 12:23Speaker 1: complex medical condition like cancer. So basically, you won't have
- 12:35Speaker 1: your aid taken away if you truly need it. If
- 12:43Speaker 1: you're a former foster youth requirement under twenty six, the
- 12:49Speaker 1: requirements don't apply, but the policy is targeting. There's a
- 12:53Speaker 1: subset of fully able adults who are voluntarily choosing not
- 12:56Speaker 1: to work or get back to their communities. Now I
- 13:04Speaker 1: understand there was something that was scrapped with this medicaid
- 13:07Speaker 1: portion of the bill anyway, which should allow for its passing.
- 13:12Speaker 1: By the way, I gotta say this, the big beautiful
- 13:16Speaker 1: bill is signed by July fourth. Is that like the
- 13:19Speaker 1: next Declaration of Independence two undred forty nine years later?
- 13:21Speaker 1: Is that what he's trying to maneuver here, Like the
- 13:24Speaker 1: signing of the declaration two hundred and forty nine years ago.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I feel like that's what he's tried to get out here,
- 13:29Speaker 1: which which I find interesting. So that's number number two,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and I guess number three as well, the Big Beautiful Bill.
- 13:39Speaker 1: But no, the Lauren Sanchez Jeff Bezos wedding is way
- 13:41Speaker 1: more important than this big beautiful bill, right, and then
- 13:47Speaker 1: this and then this. There are so many stories that
- 13:50Speaker 1: should be covered. Because I've said on here before, I'm
- 13:53Speaker 1: hoping the ice raids are very precise and that we're
- 13:57Speaker 1: actually targeting those who have truly committed a crime while
- 14:03Speaker 1: being here illegally, and I mean a violent crime, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: mean a violent crime. But the Cato Institute did some
- 14:11Speaker 1: very interesting research and found and found this was fascinating,
- 14:23Speaker 1: that the vast majority of ICE raids, as I pull
- 14:30Speaker 1: up the story here, are targeting those who committed and
- 14:39Speaker 1: rounding up those who have not committed a violent crime
- 14:46Speaker 1: or convicted of a violent crime, according to the new
- 14:49Speaker 1: data from the Cato Institute, as reported on by NBC
- 14:54Speaker 1: seven San Diego. As the story goes, if you could
- 15:02Speaker 1: believe this stat, ninety three percent of April detained by
- 15:05Speaker 1: ICE have no violent criminal conviction. President Trump, I understand
- 15:12Speaker 1: you want to get the violence out. So what is
- 15:15Speaker 1: going on here? Of the two hundred four this is
- 15:19Speaker 1: I did not know this too. Two hundred four thousand,
- 15:22Speaker 1: two hundred and ninety seven people booked into detention since
- 15:25Speaker 1: the fiscal year began, Ninety three percent were never convicted
- 15:30Speaker 1: of a violent offense and sixty five percent had no
- 15:34Speaker 1: criminal conviction whatsoever. So that being said, there should be
- 15:45Speaker 1: some changes going on here to tailor these raids so
- 15:50Speaker 1: that the stats are showing that these raids are doing
- 15:54Speaker 1: what he now peoples, I really promised to get out everybody,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and that seems to be what he's doing. And I
- 16:04Speaker 1: don't necessarily agree with everybody being deported and sent back.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I believe those are hard work getting committed to making
- 16:14Speaker 1: a better life yere. Should be given the option and
- 16:16Speaker 1: the ability and the financial ability to become legalized here.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Then if they refuse to do that, then I don't know.
- 16:25Speaker 1: They should not be here if they don't even want
- 16:28Speaker 1: to do that. But if they are given the option
- 16:29Speaker 1: to take it, yes they should be given that option.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But let me make this clear. I respect law enforcement
- 16:38Speaker 1: and ICE and what they're doing, and what I have
- 16:40Speaker 1: to believe is there's a list of people that they
- 16:45Speaker 1: are suspecting did commit something. And we should never stop
- 16:53Speaker 1: law enforcement from doing their job. So if you see
- 16:58Speaker 1: a localized agent rounding up someone, I would say, and
- 17:06Speaker 1: you might not ruin me on this, don't block them,
- 17:09Speaker 1: Let them do their job, Let the system and the
- 17:13Speaker 1: process work itself out. Then we'll find out about the
- 17:19Speaker 1: ninety three percent. But you don't know that unless these
- 17:25Speaker 1: people are unless these law enforcement agencies are allowed to
- 17:28Speaker 1: do their job, then you can debate after if that
- 17:32Speaker 1: was the right move or not, because I presume if
- 17:35Speaker 1: they're found to have done nothing, hopefully they'll be able
- 17:41Speaker 1: to go back to their communities. I do it Forno
- 17:46Speaker 1: of sure Shore Roads smear Bagel is allowed to go
- 17:50Speaker 1: back to that community. At Schmeer Bagel, it was an
- 17:55Speaker 1: interesting mood when I went there on Tuesday to check
- 17:57Speaker 1: out what's been going on and the defense updating all that,
- 18:02Speaker 1: and I'm sure we're getting a lot of that around
- 18:04Speaker 1: the country. So the stunning numbers of ninety three percent
- 18:13Speaker 1: is indeed stunning. But I do believe that ICE agents
- 18:17Speaker 1: should be allowed to do their job before and not
- 18:22Speaker 1: be attacked for doing their job. So media outlets that
- 18:25Speaker 1: like I saw with News twelve and the Bronx or Brooklyn,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and one of those News twelve outlets showed the detention
- 18:34Speaker 1: center where they're housing a lot of these ICE detainees.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Do these networks want ICE agents to be in trouble
- 18:43Speaker 1: by rabid protesters that are causing chaos and not even
- 18:46Speaker 1: protest rabid rioters that join the innocent protesters. Do they
- 18:51Speaker 1: want that? Because if they're ICE agents attacked at any
- 18:56Speaker 1: of these facilities because a network broadcasts that, that is
- 19:02Speaker 1: blood on that network's hand for talking about it, because
- 19:06Speaker 1: then you're gonna tip off those that yes, they're innocent protests.
- 19:09Speaker 1: We can agree there are peaceful protests, but then the
- 19:13Speaker 1: rioters come in and they want to do more damage
- 19:17Speaker 1: and harmonize agents. And I don't care what uniform a
- 19:22Speaker 1: law enforcement is wearing. Each one deserves respect to do
- 19:27Speaker 1: their job and to let the courts and the system
- 19:31Speaker 1: play it out. So networks, if you are advertising where
- 19:37Speaker 1: these intentions in it are, stop it. That's not helping
- 19:40Speaker 1: law enforcement or America have one leg up. Because they're
- 19:52Speaker 1: the same networks that think that Jeff Bezos and Lourd
- 19:56Speaker 1: Bezostras is so important it trumps everything. It doesn't on
- 20:05Speaker 1: the ground news and on the ground situations are more
- 20:10Speaker 1: important to talk about. And the safety of law enforcement
- 20:17Speaker 1: of people, disabilities of Israel, of the world from Iranian
- 20:24Speaker 1: nuclear activity. That's way more important than some stupid wedding
- 20:34Speaker 1: on some stupid you know, waterfront. I mean, it's beautiful
- 20:39Speaker 1: water front, but you know what I mean in the
- 20:40Speaker 1: context Bezos is old news networks. So let's not give
- 20:55Speaker 1: too much attention to that, and let's not take our
- 20:58Speaker 1: eye off the ball of what's really going on, and
- 21:04Speaker 1: let's work harder to have one leg up for Americans,
- 21:12Speaker 1: whether in media or whatever you might be in. That
- 21:18Speaker 1: should be the priority as we hit year two forty
- 21:21Speaker 1: nine of this very young United States of America.
