- 6:14[SPEAKER_04]: Generated.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_04]: Huh?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_04]: I...
- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: The 60-second spot features a local facsimile walking and talking against the backdrop of various familiar New York
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: and uh... she's boasting about everything from raising taxes to soft on crime policies okay well so we're in the air a.i.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_04]: now is that good is that a good thing is that honest yeah I don't know but after doing it on the air oh juggle
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: Hello?
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, who that is?
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: But... Whatever.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: Whatever.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: So we're bombing, uh, I ran again.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_04]: Just get it over with.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_04]: Here's what I would do.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: If you're inclined to want a bomb at,
- 7:38[SPEAKER_04]: Don't talk about, just take a certain part of the country, around the Persian Gulf, and bomb the Vajizus out of it.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't threaten their knockdown bridges and water and electric plants.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_04]: Just bomb the Vajizus out of the Persian Gulf.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_04]: See how they're like that?
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: But after duty on the air,
- 8:03[SPEAKER_24]: Good afternoon, how are you?
- 8:05[SPEAKER_24]: I was just given your phone number by the Commander of the Watertown DSW.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_24]: So let you know that we have several Western organizations that are set up over here right now for our Watertown Freedom Festival at Post-1400 with the goal of getting our organizations to meet each other.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_24]: So we can all start working together and to also get the public to come in for our military and veterans to find out what their services are and who they need to talk to
- 8:32[SPEAKER_24]: possibly get our organization from volunteer work also.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: So where are you set up right now?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_24]: We are at the water town via W. That's post-1400 and we're going to be here in full about two thirty.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: That's on Bellar Revenue.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_24]: Uh, say that again, I'm sorry.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_04]: Isn't that on Bellar Revenue?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_24]: Yeah.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_24]: Okay.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: So that's good.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: So anybody can go over and see what's going on, right?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, sounds good.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: Well, thank you for calling.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_04]: I appreciate it very much.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_24]: Perfect.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_24]: Thank you.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_24]: Have a good day.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: Bye now.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: And that's a smart move.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: She's got an event going on at the VFWM Bellow Avenue.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_04]: And she committed 60 seconds of her time and no money.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_04]: And her message got out to probably several hundred people.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know really, but that's smart public relations.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_04]: Do the easy stuff first?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, what about this idea that Councilman Kimball has about a a stage they spent all that money knocking that building down on JB Wise.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_04]: He thinks maybe a stage is the answer.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_04]: STAGE.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to be your next mayor, so don't knock the idea down right away.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_04]: do we need that I mean it would first of all a stage is not something you just throw a little crusher run down there and you got a stage you'd have to have some some kind of structure equipped with electricity probably a roof over it and because you're attracting crowds some kind of restroom facility.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_04]: So they're talking two, three, four million dollars.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_04]: Now where's that gonna come from?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_04]: They say they're broke now.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, we'll get a grant.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_04]: That's what we'll look for a grant.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_04]: Well, if it's worth doing, the community should pay for it.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if it is.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_04]: What do you think of the idea of a stage?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_04]: Now we've got that pavilion, the Butler pavilion, very nice.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's not really used for anything except, you know, farmers market thing, which is fine.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_04]: I like, you know, it's a good activity.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_04]: I guess my feeling is, if you're going to push that idea, push it in a global sense in it, we want to do this, this is how we're going to pay for it.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_04]: Let the community know, not this, oh, we're gonna put a stage there, what the hell does that mean?
- 11:32[SPEAKER_04]: Nothing, absolutely nothing.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_04]: So, I don't know.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, 755, 1240 of the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, to be on the show of shows today.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_04]: There's a woman who sold stole $379 in merchandise from Target.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god, well, you know, if people need something, I think they have a right to steal it, don't they?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_04]: Now, there's a top-ranked woman in the Syracuse Police Department alleges discrimination by chief, who?
- 12:15[SPEAKER_04]: Well, she suffered discrimination, humiliation, and mistreatment by the males.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: don't they know better?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_04]: at this point?
- 12:28[SPEAKER_04]: don't they know better?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_03]: those males they're all like that grand platinum guy beaten up the women but after doing it on the air hey man yeah yeah one thing we're gonna talk about a couple of quick things sure the stage I just want to say once they set that up a deep and wise
- 12:51[SPEAKER_03]: They're gonna, they'll probably be pitching pants on it, if we covered in graffiti, and if we pile the poop on it, and everything else, you know, you can't even use the ones over there on off, you know, where the old train station was, the bathrooms are locked down there, everything else.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: And they have the block party and everything, and you could, all the bathrooms are locked, and they're sitting there smoking crystal masks.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, so if they put their stage on there that's what they're gonna do the same thing.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_03]: I sort of think they should catch them I don't know what they're gonna do about the Z bikes and stuff Supposed to charge them 300 bucks when they catch one.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, how much on the second third?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: The army there's one thing, but yeah, I don't have the sidewalks I don't know about the stage idea.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_04]: Here's the thing who is was that the agenda when they tore the building down
- 13:47[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they were so quick to do that.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_04]: The building, first of all, that property is not going to end up quote on the tax rules.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get that out of our heads now.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_04]: It's either going to be retained by the city for public use, or it's going to be given to neighbors of water town as parking for their building on court street.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's what's going to happen.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: yeah i don't know about the stage idea all i know is that that's gonna cost a lot more money and uh it's gonna be destroyed within a year or two well yeah i mean i i don't mean that's my guess of the population that the people that hang around there that are not taxpayers of just saying you know the shopping cart guys and everything else
- 14:38[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you know, we've had discussions before.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_04]: We've talked about a stage or a whatever amphitheater in the park.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: We've talked about this and that and we just me and around between these different things.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to happen and Channel 7 shouldn't do any more news stories on it.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: I understand that they got a report on what was said at the council meeting, but You know, you got to look at something so that ain't going to happen.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you've got people that get 11, 8, what do I don't know what they find as down to 8% increase in 11 or 12?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: Some, like the effects increase in their talking about 4 million dollar stages.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, is it just crazy?
- 15:28[SPEAKER_04]: I got you, yeah.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_04]: But I don't know, first of all, they have to gain title to the building where they don't have, I don't think, or the property.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: And at that point, they'll turn it over to a not-for-profit.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_04]: That's what's gonna happen.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I know.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: And nothing against habitat-free humanity or the neighbors of water down, it's stuff like that.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: But these people I've seen in these bills in my brand new house, I actually found here to help them on the weekends, to build the house, you know, do, you know, setting up the frame and everything.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: And then these guys go by and they got free heep or whatever you call that, uh, eat a sister stuff 20 degrees out in the doors wide open.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_03]: They probably get the furnace set at 79 Right door is wide open and stuff and garbage all over the yard brand new house They can't be letting people like that around.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's just uh, that should be more controlled
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they see, you know what I mean, I just said, yeah.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen it happen, I was part of building one, and now.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_04]: Well, first of all, what is going to go on this stage?
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, we've got the Amazon stuff, who's going to go down here.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: You can't even watch a band.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_04]: There aren't any bands anymore.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of them perform in a nightclub where they should be.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: So that's another thing at the park.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_03]: I had all these vendors sat up and everything.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then they were supposed to have a couple of three bands in the fireworks and everything.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_03]: So all these vendors are sat up and they can't have what you're interested in was even bags or whatever.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_03]: Bob of hot.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: But it wasn't raining that day.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was a third.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_03]: But all these vendors are all sat up and they got a lot of money into it, especially in a small cabaretube guys and stuff.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: And then they cancel the bands, they cancel the fireworks, so they don't have to people don't show up and then they lose your ass.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_03]: Just saying, okay, thank you.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_04]: All right, thank you.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_04]: When I see they got two mountain lions coming into the zoo from out west, one from Washington State, one from Oakland, everybody's getting out of Oakland right now, even the mountain lions.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_04]: Um, so, you know, I don't know, we don't know too much about it.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_04]: Because we don't know too much about anything up there, but we mentioned that, and I see they have someone, I can't even say her name on here because we're competitors, I don't consider her a competitor, I consider her a nice person, even or never matter.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_04]: But a lady from a different media outlet is doing PR now for the zoo, so I'm not going
- 18:32[SPEAKER_04]: Whatever certainly can't put that person on our air.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I like to, but you know, that's just me.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_04]: So we got different text messages coming in.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_04]: What do we have here?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, let's see.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: I got an email from Pigly Wiggly.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the old Pigly Wiggly.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody texted and forget about creating more expenses for taxpayers.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_04]: Someone else said a stage for what exactly?
- 19:15[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_04]: Now, the person texted in, the homeless population destroys anything worthwhile.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, sometimes.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_04]: Just see what they...
- 19:29[SPEAKER_04]: A vandalizing elevator panel, I assume it's the control panel where the buttons are over the new thing I may not have in it.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_04]: What's the point of even doing that?
- 19:44[SPEAKER_04]: I've been in a lot of elevators in my life, I've never felt the desire to pull the metal panel off the wall and vandalize it in that way, but apparently they did, yep, apparently they did.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody else said pimple is that I can't say that or councilman I can't say that All right seven five five twelve forty is the phone number if you'd like to give us a call we'll be back with more in a moment

- 24:55[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, really?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_04]: I, yeah.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently, the mayor down there, Sharon Owens fired him up here, we'd have a long executive session and many genitals of that, but Mayor Owens spoke about the door and she says she wants to do background checks, stiffen up their hiring policies, oh my god, you know, there's
- 25:32[SPEAKER_04]: because a strong, marable do things.

- 26:15[SPEAKER_04]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, Jeff, will you run news junkies?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_05]: Did you read the blistering Bruce Blakeman ad against Governor Hulkel?
- 26:25[SPEAKER_04]: No, I sort of started, I couldn't.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's a good one.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_05]: See if you can go out there and read it.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_05]: Let us know what you think.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, what?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_04]: You tell us what it said.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_05]: Well, just, it says how she supports keep keeping drug dealers at a jail and give a utility company's readers without any question.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, all of that's true.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_05]: But the fact is, we're immigrants in Motel rooms for months and months,
- 26:59[SPEAKER_05]: The fact is most I was just surprised at Bruce putting that out like that.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_05]: That's all.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, Bruce is not going to win.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_04]: No, I know, but and the problem is We sit there and say well She's bad.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_04]: She's 45% of Jefferson County will vote for Kathy.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_04]: Her uncle in the fall.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_27]: Yeah, it's the way it is.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_04]: And the other 55% is like, well, New York City.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's under York City.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's 80.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_04]: It's a pair of vote for these people.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if they turn out Blake, but I don't think it's a good candidate because A, what's he ever done in life?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_04]: And B, he got elected county exec and that's our county last fall and barely took the oath of office and he's running for governor.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't like that.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_05]: I want to see a local lose, and I want it.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: But I don't see Blake and it's not the person to overturn it.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_04]: No, I think at least to find I got a shot.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_04]: he's a articulate and she's from upstate on it but the problem you you cool nights out there you don't cune aficionados it's not democrats in the york city it's your bomb state germ and a cox and the fact that the apple knockers is he calls them up here but for democrats half of the time don't that's right yeah okay i just want to let you know about it all right well look at it
- 28:25[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it's anyone who has been swayed by a commercial.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_04]: Those of you who do vote, I don't think so.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think so.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_04]: Well, here's something we must have missed at the Buffalo Police to describe the Fourth of July street parties.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_04]: as absolute chaos.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't have that water-chounded.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_04]: Did anything go on?
- 28:55[SPEAKER_04]: Shall I forth here?
- 28:56[SPEAKER_04]: I don't.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_04]: I think I heard a few firecrackers go off, but I don't think there's anything significant to you.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody's just texted me here.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let's see.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_04]: Apparently there was a street brawl on Gotham Street last night.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't see the video.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_04]: Anybody else see it?
- 29:27[SPEAKER_04]: No?
- 29:37[SPEAKER_04]: Is that a news junkie?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_04]: It was a fight on Gotham Street.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I have to look into that.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_04]: But after doing it on the air.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm there.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not Buffalo thing.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_06]: Did you read the article?
- 29:55[SPEAKER_06]: What happened here?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_04]: No, I haven't read it yet.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they canceled every celebration for America's 250th birthday party.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_06]: Can't hold everything.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_06]: That's what they celebrated, but the flag's up.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_04]: Somalia?
- 30:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_06]: They can't tell America and put Somalia.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_04]: That's Buffalo, for you.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_06]: And then they're talking about the stage.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: If they did that, they could I move the black party to the park a lot.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_06]: Because that would save the city thousands of dollars in overtime with all the employees
- 30:46[UNKNOWN]: block the square on.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't.
- 30:49[UNKNOWN]: I would move the block party to the parking lot right now.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_06]: You can have more and they wouldn't have that expense of all those employees.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_06]: You'll need some.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_06]: But not as many as they have to have and they've got all those concrete barriers around and all that.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_06]: That's just an idea.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_06]: I move it there.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, what about my idea I put out yesterday?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_04]: Do you remember years ago, the city had this thing called clean up, paint up, fix up or something, and he had a stencil and they stenciled the sidewalks of paint, why not do that with these regulations for like e-bikes because they're not going to look at a roadside, they don't understand and they can't read and
- 31:37[SPEAKER_04]: you know the whole thing i mean they don't care about that so maybe that will increase awareness if you're on a sidewalk you've got to see what's on there is that a good idea but it's a good idea but you know what well they don't like it because it's my idea we did that when i was a play scow and the car had a cop scow watch a year on Saturday
- 32:07[SPEAKER_06]: that type of thing on the on the curves when you walked up to it and then you volunteer people volunteer to help people out and come down and clean the square up but you know like I said that's about full for you and they ought to be moving the block party to the park a lot.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_06]: Save a lot of money.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_04]: All right, thank you sir.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, good idea.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_04]: You know,
- 32:36[SPEAKER_04]: The idea of, you know, just stencil paint things on sidewalks, you know, where's your helmet?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_04]: How much required for e-bikes?
- 32:49[SPEAKER_04]: At least they would see it and be exposed to it.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_04]: They're not, those little plastic signs are fine.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_04]: I have no objection to them per se, but it isn't going to do the trick.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_04]: You see, the problem government has with signs is they under one hand,
- 33:06[SPEAKER_04]: they hate signs and try to regulate the Jesus out of them.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_04]: And so when the time comes to do some signage because signage is a way to communicate with people communicate, write that down, and they don't know how to do it.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like those signs are putting up share of the road.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_04]: Where's the sign permit for that?
- 33:31[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you, city lawyer will say, we don't have to.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: Some little shop or something does that, and it's like the end of the world.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_04]: So, come on man, let's get it done.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_04]: Let's do something different.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yet some stencils made, yeah, I'll buy you a couple of up, contribute a couple of cans of spray paint, and while the weather's nice, we'll get the sidewalks all back out.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_04]: You can put other messages out there.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_04]: Imagine this.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_04]: You could like do branding messages.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: Watering on savings bank.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: Have their logo on every 10th sidewalk square.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_04]: They pay a money for that.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_04]: That's how you make money.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: But this is a city where they were going to buy sign cell signs for the holes.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_04]: for the T-boxes at the park, and they sold five out of 18 holes, and the media won't report that because they're in on the scam, they don't want to protect our friends over there.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't really care since I pay taxes every year, I want to know how many T-sat T-box
- 34:53[SPEAKER_04]: down town there where they tore the building down there to JB white parking lot.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 34:58[UNKNOWN]: It's still having a block party there.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: They ought to expand the parking area so they can have more people to come down there when they have the farmers market on Wednesday and then they won't have to park in the bank parking lot.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_02]: The medical building parking lot there in JB white parking lot for the
- 35:23[UNKNOWN]: we're supposed to be done away with because the city was so much a financial distress.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know about that, but I do think the farmer's market in front of City Hall has been a historical success.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people go there.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's a nice thing to have.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: The thing about it was when they expanded too far and they still now, they don't have
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: okay good point uh... they would have been better off at the time as they take a minute put it down at uh... fairgrounds and they would have been has had parking to no end and they wouldn't have picked up the library parkings on wednesday would you be in their park anymore right okay good points yeah well there was always i've never seen a donut where it didn't have the option looking at the donor that looking at the whole you know what i mean
- 36:23[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I think there's good things that happen in town.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_06]: Some things could be better.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_04]: But I don't know what to say, really.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what to say.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_04]: Well, we got a text message coming in.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody says sidewalk truck, and you can get.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_04]: And you can't get in trouble.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you could put messages on with that.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_04]: But I wonder what would happen if a, you know, technically the sidewalks are city property or anything, I think so, but you have to maintain up.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_04]: So what if you had a stencil made, what a can of yellow paint?
- 37:18[SPEAKER_04]: got some from the welder somewhere else and you sprayed things on the sidewalk not like dirty messages not like you know and over anything like that just messages that like uh... you know he bikes not allowed or whatever i don't know what you want to say what would happen to yeah i don't know
- 37:44[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, they'd have to run it through legal and and Harris Beach would have to sue you, you know, bunch of filing fees up in the closkeys office and all of that.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: We know that we know the stick, how it's done.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_04]: But I think that'd be a good idea if they won't put messages on the sidewalk, you do it.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, how do you make a stencil on you?
- 38:06[SPEAKER_04]: And we're new.

- 43:47[SPEAKER_07]: He didn't work on a smoke or a type.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_07]: Like I say, I just wanted to put a plug in for him.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_07]: And I kind of follow the folks stuff.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he did it nice.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_04]: He's done some nice things.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the thing about the welder is, yeah, if you want something done at your house or business, like some steps or something like that, he'll do what he knows what the codes are and whatever it's supposed to be.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_04]: And you don't have to pay the engineering cartel.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_04]: and you know what else about a mayor what is he started from right bottom he worked his way out nobody give him anything and uh... i've been trying to get him out of pocket we won't do it but i think so i think he got somebody who goes you know he goes to work every day does this job and he's told me the stories about trying to find people to do that kind of work there are some people who are heads up and get into the trades but
- 44:45[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, you know, if you show up for a job interview for a welder and flip flops, you got a problem.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_07]: You got lots of problems.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_07]: You got lots of problems.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I just wanted to put a good word in a forum.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_04]: All right, thank you.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_07]: I've got that he needs it, but it's always nice to talk good about somebody.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_07]: I know.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_07]: You have a good day, sir.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_04]: Bye-bye.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I got it.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_04]: The user who I got discussion with employees, I said, don't, I don't want your
- 45:15[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, there's no law, I can't sit in the, I got my rights and off.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_06]: Whoa, whoa!
- 45:20[SPEAKER_04]: It's, there's a safety issue and forget any sanitation issue.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_04]: Safety issue with all of that.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_04]: You're walking back and forth behind a bar and you catch your foot on.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_04]: And the leg of a sink or something and you hurt yourself.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe that's the goal, I don't know.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_04]: But you know, people get it in their heads that they can do whatever they want.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want to wear those.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if it.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you do, and unfortunately, we've got a state government in New York that encourages that kind of mindset.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_04]: I've got some of my rights, you know, and all of that.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to tell you about the story one of these days, maybe on a podcast because I can do it in law and form, but I'll tell that story.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, 755, 1240, the phone number, if I'd like to give us a call to be on the show

- 46:48[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and, uh, so anyway, it looks real nice, stop, uh, just drive by and look at it.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: It's on the flip side of the one with the two cops who are says slow down.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_06]: That's part of our public service.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_04]: We do it the Pearl Street Pub, urging people to slow down.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully it does some good, and if it saves one life, what the heck, right?
- 47:06[SPEAKER_04]: What the heck?
- 47:08[SPEAKER_04]: So, uh, what do you want to talk about now?
- 47:10[SPEAKER_06]: We got to, uh-hmm.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_06]: President Trump says he'll hit a ran hard tonight.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't, it doesn't do anything.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_04]: Unless you get into the gratuitous killing of the whole population, you know, blowing up some things, they got more.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_04]: country of 92 million people they can produce more it look at you to see the rallies in downtown Tehran people hold up science kill Trump and trump your dad and all of that well they got a think they've got some rights to do that I guess all of that but uh... and you know I don't blame them for having hostile feelings you know here's the problem you live in a country even this country
- 48:00[SPEAKER_04]: You may feel uncomfortable with the policies of the national government.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_04]: But you have to sit there and sort of defend it because it's your country.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_04]: Or you have to suffer the consequences of someone comes after the country.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_07]: You said, well, they should be killed civilians.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I kill everybody.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_04]: If you're a part of the country that's killed these supreme leader, I'd want to kill everybody.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't blame them.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_04]: But those women who were on yesterday, you know, with their things over their heads and all that, I'm telling them if you open that country up You'd have people in Daisy Dukes and all their chops within an hour They they throw off all of this Cold ephas and other stuff in a heartbeat Yeah, they don't want to be all covered up like that
- 48:55[SPEAKER_06]: Uh-oh, he's that racist, who, and then you'll get some guy that's gonna tie right in my right.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_04]: I sent the soundcloud to, you know, audio files of the Attorney General.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, like big deal, I don't care if you listen to the show.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_04]: I said she was fetching.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_04]: So, um, hey, what about that Attorney General race?
- 49:19[SPEAKER_04]: If you followed it, he probably haven't, you know, probably haven't.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_04]: But there's some light lady running against his dreams.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_04]: Isn't running against his dreams racist by definition?
- 49:37[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, they're sending in comments like crazy.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_04]: You know what they're sending in here?
- 49:48[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, let's see.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_04]: Hmm.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone is sick of this.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'll clean up the yard burr.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_04]: Okay Oh my god people are Somebody says who is this a whole 60 got while I used to guy whose number ends in 6.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_04]: Oh He just sends in stuff to pull my chain.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_04]: I get it, but it's kind of funny.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_04]: Get out of funny He always says are you gonna be closed this you know holiday?
- 50:25[SPEAKER_04]: We're closing on our Obama's birthday next month in August.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_04]: I would urge everyone else to do so too.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_04]: 755-1240, the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on a hotline today.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_04]: Here's an interesting headline.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_04]: How will the town of Clay spend its micron millions?
- 50:44[SPEAKER_04]: Residents have ideas.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_04]: There you go.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: When you, when I government, elected government, you know, look at the kind of people we elect to things.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they have the sharpest knives in the drawer often, and all of a sudden they're putting charge a millions of dollars, holy moly, I don't know how much money the town of clay is going to get off this boomedagal, so they'll probably build a new fire house and build
- 51:18[SPEAKER_04]: It's a community host, remember they had those community host agreements when they were trying to sell that Rodman landfill, and nobody wanted it down here because it was going to be like a bunch of crappy water dripping into the ground, but then they bought off, you know, the people don't benefit from what the town governments do because they vote on things, like contracts and all that.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_04]: So they all, oh yeah, we're going to get a new dump truck for the town, so we'll do whatever they want to do.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_04]: You know, 30 million dollar agreement with Micron and what are they going to do with that splash pads, uh-huh, new talent parks, splash pads, up in lower taxes, no, they don't want that down in clay, but don't want it there, yeah.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_04]: There's going to be $6.5 million in building permit fees to go to the town of Clay.
- 52:24[UNKNOWN]: Wow.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_04]: Can you imagine that kind of money coming in?
- 52:28[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_04]: But here it is.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_04]: Tellers have even mentioned the potential for investments like a splash pad or a recreation center.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_04]: A splash pad is an amenity.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's not an investment.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: It's a difference.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: What can you imagine if Cliff O'Neill was a charge of the town of Clayman and they'd have all sorts of things, trails and water parks and everything else you're going to man.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, we're going to take a break and we'll be back with more in a moment.

- 55:59[SPEAKER_14]: Alright, there we go.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_04]: I remember in jingles were a big deal.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_04]: I remember in radio stations used to have jingles who walked fun, radio, you know, all of that stuff.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, back in the old days.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_04]: W-A-B-C, yeah, I'm not doing them real well, but company named Pam, that was a big one that did jingles back in the day.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_04]: And they don't do that anymore.
- 56:45[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_04]: Everything's processed to my, I imagine I said, there's no cousin persis.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there's none of that stuff anymore.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, they're re-bob, well, I don't mean a lament about things, the different world we live in now.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not sure it's a better world, but it's a different world.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, they don't do jingles, and I'm just good to see they have a jingle in that commercial, but it used to be lots of those, you know.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_04]: You speak companies that did them.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_04]: Cool, now everything's AI.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, some of the newscash requests and two over the years are AI.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of the commercials you hear are AI.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not saying it's a bad thing.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_04]: What's a matter?
- 57:32[SPEAKER_04]: It's still requires the creative process to write the thing and produce it.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_04]: Just because the voice isn't some booth announcers, somewhere who's making too much money.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_04]: Now, I don't think it's a bad thing if AI do you know, they only think it's good you do have an AI talk show like this.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_04]: If there was a way, but I don't think there is, because you've got to have that wealth of knowledge and the ability to interact, and that's not sure a computer can do that.
- 58:04[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if a computer could get the essence of me or the essence of Glenn and put it in a computer program and maybe they can, now not this year, but maybe
- 58:21[SPEAKER_04]: So everybody, I always get these comments from people on my blog, saying, well, what can't we get somebody else on the hotline?
- 58:28[SPEAKER_04]: There isn't anybody else.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm here.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_04]: And nobody going to do it.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_04]: If you're simple as that, I'm a relic piece of the past and broadcasting locally.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_04]: One of the few, one of the few,
- 58:46[SPEAKER_04]: I think some of the, you know, if you were to ask Joe Brasker or Jay Donovan, they'd say the same thing.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_04]: There's a few fossils left like me and that's it.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_04]: And it'll all be AI and, you know, whoever is your morning person playing the music to go to Mumbai, to Mumbai, all of that, that'll all be AI soon, too.
- 59:11[SPEAKER_04]: So get used to it.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_04]: already uh... well anyway we're moving up towards the uh... top of the hour is an important time for us because it means we get out of here right and nothing wrong with that uh... yeah can't imagine might too cramogenly yeah well
- 59:36[SPEAKER_04]: That's the way it goes, right?
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's the way it goes.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, I want to remind you, we do have Glenn Curry coming in at 5 o'clock, another relic from the past, but still somewhat interesting at times.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I'll be back tomorrow with more of the same right here on the Hotline America's favorite new time talk show.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_04]: Coming to you every weekday on a community broadcaster station, A.M. 1240, WAT at Watertown, New York, time on a clock, ABC News is next.
