- 0:00You know women love the bad boy. I don't know what they do.
- 0:06I mean, it's proven facts. It's been proven over generations that women love
- 0:11a bad boy with the bad boy image, but otherwise not. I'm good
- 0:16you don't think Nick's a bit of a bad boy. I don't feel like
- 0:18he is. I mean, he's not like criminally bad, but you know
- 0:21he is, like he's not like a goody two shoes. No, I
- 0:25guess not. When I think of a bad boy, I also think of
- 0:27somebody like I'll tat it up, and you know he's not that well.
- 0:31I was reading an article about why it is women love bad boys. Is
- 0:35there psych psychology behind it? There's a ton of psychology. Thank god I
- 0:39failed that class in college. Number four was women are foolish in love.
- 0:43It's true, they're just men, not foolish. Men are totally saying about
- 0:47it. Yeah, but women, you know, they're just plain bonkers.
- 0:51Says it's just plain bonkers. I'm reading this article. I wouldn't you argue
- 0:58that men are attracted to crazy ladies too, Like they like a little bit
- 1:02of the crazy, you know, in a way, you know that's probably
- 1:04something to you. There's probe quote you just started watching that Casey Anthony.
- 1:10Okay, do not the repeating things I say when the microphones are off,
- 1:14but you you would mentioned how good looking she was. Stop it because I
- 1:23look at her as a murderer. I told you. And it's nothing to
- 1:26do the fact that and it is my belief that Casey Anthony killed her daughter,
- 1:30which is horrific. So she's a little crazy. But you also are
- 1:33like she's hot. Okay. You girls are the ones that are like fan
- 1:34growing over Ted Bundy when that thing came out. Oh my goodness, Yes,
- 1:42is into a guy that not only killed but eight several several people.
- 1:46Maybe I'm just worried to the zac Efron version. Yeah, that's also you
- 1:49have to know how many people are sending letters to people in prison because they
- 1:53are in a sick and twisted way attracted to that. We digress. I
- 1:57think number three is uh. I think they hit the nail on the head.
- 1:59Women. They want to help the bad boy. They think they can
- 2:01fix him. I was that girl, Yeah, always feeling like you can
- 2:06help, Like they're gonna change, it's gonna be good. No, I
- 2:08see the good in you and and we're gonna get There were you're gonna come
- 2:13up, ladies, you love a good project. That was Yeah. Number
- 2:20two is women want to feel special. I guess perhaps nothing makes a woman
- 2:23feel more special than when she and only she is capable of turning a devil
- 2:27into an angel. It's got to be satisfying. Yeah, but it doesn't
- 2:31happen, breaking news, ladies. You can't change them. People change.
- 2:36Yeah, very rare occasions when you're in a situation that you think there might
- 2:40be potential you can do it. But they gotta want to do it.
- 2:43They do. Yeah, so maybe there is somebody who wants to do it,
- 2:46but usually they don't. That's why they are the way they are for
- 2:50so many years. Man, you're deep. I know she's on one today.
- 2:53Number one. The reason why women love bad boys, well, they
- 2:57like challenges. In some respects women men aren't all that different in regard to
- 3:00enjoying a good challenge. What is it with that? And even growing And
- 3:05I was like, I have a couple of friends. It's like once you
- 3:07get somebody, then you're like, all right, onto the next one.
- 3:12It's like, all right, cool, You're like I got you Like a
- 3:14business consultant. You come in, you get everything. Working right, and
- 3:16then you're onto the next one. You're on a plane, like in a
- 3:19minute in the morning, Big nutty eight point seven. Well, shall we
- 3:22enter the judgment zone? Oh boy, all right, it's okay to be
- 3:25a little judgey when you're in the judgment zone. Because while this lady is,
- 3:29in my opinion, asking for it, she's a mom, she's got
- 3:31multiple kids, but her son in particular has approached or wanting to play a
- 3:36sport. Now she doesn't say which sport, but he is already into other
- 3:39sports. So keep that in mind. Okay, Now there's a fee if
- 3:43you've got kids. You know, it's it's not free to play sports these
- 3:46days. No, it is a pretty steep in some occasions, depending on
- 3:49the sport. Well, in this instance, the family has had to tighten
- 3:53the purse strings a little bit, you know, cost inflation, costs going
- 3:57up. You know, they're trying to save every penny. So she said
- 4:00that she doesn't want to pay for his sport. She told him no because
- 4:03she wants to use the money instead that they have allotted for her botox,
- 4:09her monthly botox treatments, which she says account for sixty three dollars a month
- 4:15and sixty three dollars a month. That's it. I have no idea how
- 4:18much botox costs, but that's what she says. And she said, in
- 4:21order for him to play this third sport, she would have to give up
- 4:26her botox and she doesn't want to do that. She said that is for
- 4:29her therapy, and she feels like she needs it in order to be a
- 4:32good mom. She said, she feels like she feels better, she's more
- 4:35confident, and in turn, she's able to be a better Parent's boy.
- 4:41Yeah, okay, so I was gonna go with the oh, maybe she's
- 4:44using it because sometimes people use botox for migraines and such. I understands,
- 4:49how is that what they say? No, what some people do. But
- 4:51yes, I understand as a mom, you feeling good about yourself and having
- 4:56that confidence is going to make you a better mom in some regards, because
- 4:59you're going to feel good about yourself in return. I get that. My
- 5:02thing is as a mom my kids. If you're gonna want to check some
- 5:06money, you want to do it, I'm probably gonna put the kids first
- 5:09in that regard. I just I personally am going to Okay, so you're
- 5:12just gonna give up your self identity entirely because Johnny wants to play bocchi ball
- 5:17because one of his friends is going out for bocchi ball over bowtox for a
- 5:21hot minute. Mama can get her bowtox back when her kids graduate from school.
- 5:26And then when mama wants to feel real good for dad, I'm just
- 5:28kidding. I'm sorry that was dad has entered the chat. I guess if
- 5:35everybody's feeling good, everyone went. Everybody's feeling good. But just overall,
- 5:41if there was a different lesson here, where hey, I'm already paying for
- 5:45two sports, and if you want to be in a third one, I
- 5:46think it's great that you earn that money or do something along those lines that
- 5:51would make sense to me, then I'm gonna be a team mom. But
- 5:54the fact she's just going cosmetic over this where she said, what do you
- 6:00think? What's up? Seven to one eight one ninety eight seven? What
- 6:04do you think this mom? Is she in the wrong? Is she in
- 6:05the right? For me? It depends on what sport kids run away,
- 6:10you know. So if if we're a matt rat, you're good. But
- 6:13if you're getting a hockey stick, you're out. What do you mean what
- 6:15he's already I'm assuming if it's my kid, he's already wrestling. But if
- 6:17he comes to me, he's like, Dad, I want to do you
- 6:19know, I want to do track? What do you what's wrong with that?
- 6:23That's a great sport to make you create endurance for the sports that you
- 6:28have. And running is more gonna be a longer sport than Matt Matt rat
- 6:33Like, what are you even talking about? All Right, it's gonna be
- 6:35a longer sport, Like you're gonna be able to use that running running a
- 6:40lot longer than you are wrestling. It depends. Yeah, Like somebody wants
- 6:46to grapple you, What are you gonna do? You're gonna run away?
- 6:47Or are you're gonna grapple? One? Something? To you? Run and
- 6:51call nine one one anyway, a minute in the morning, seven, you're
- 6:57ready? Ready? That's he is tight and hot today. Now Nanda stills
- 7:03that see let's see. Well, I know you hate it, Pike,
- 7:06but this story is not going anywhere. Britney Spears has lost basically her in
- 7:12Tiger support system, Those close to her saying she has her lawyer and her
- 7:15manager essentially in charge of her. Well being at this point, people would
- 7:19direct knowledge say that. I guess Matthew Rosengart, who everybody knows as her
- 7:26lawyer, he's the one who got her out of her conservatorship, and Kate
- 7:29Hudson are taking the reins. Now, Kate Hudson, there's been a Kade
- 7:32with a d is. There's some people that really like him, and then
- 7:36there's other people that think that he is completely destroying Britney Spears, using her
- 7:41and just trying to get the clout and well the kind of behind the cameras
- 7:46and everything as well. Yeah, I just don't know what to believe.
- 7:49Here's the deal though, we're told that they assist her and this bothers me
- 7:55in getting fed every day. That was the first thing. Believe that.
- 8:00Do you believe that they're the ones who are at least Kate, it's like,
- 8:03okay, you need to eat today, Brittany, I don't know you've
- 8:05seen the videos. Does that look like somebody who and I'm genuinely asking,
- 8:09does it look like somebody who can feed themselves? Well, she was just
- 8:11posting a video and I'm not one hundred percent sure if it was her or
- 8:13not, but whipping up some eggs with peppers and stuff yesterday on Instagram.
- 8:18I'm like, Okay, was that her or not? Because you couldn't see
- 8:20her face, I don't know. I feel like she could at least throw
- 8:22some waffles in from the toaster. So all I keep thinking of in that
- 8:26video is everything that Sam had said because she has that knife and she is
- 8:30just going to town and like, remember she had but a knife? What
- 8:33wassisions? But they are basically saying that they're managing her appointments, any opportunities
- 8:41that come her way. They're just kind of trying to keep everything together.
- 8:43Now, her attorney does not believe that Bernie's mental state is caused for great
- 8:48alarm, and there's no way that they feel that they need to amp up
- 8:50any medical care or any sort of therapy. We do know that her family
- 8:54thinks that she needs help. And her older brother, Brian, he's the
- 8:58one that nobody really talks about. He lives close to her, him and
- 9:01he is the one who maybe pops over every once in a while, but
- 9:05ever since a split, he used to kind of go over to her house
- 9:07to work out and offering whatever he could to like support her. And we're
- 9:13being told that he's now walking down the eggshells because Brittany is just too volatile.
- 9:18Now, Brian's you know, oh, I know, Well, we'll
- 9:22see He's gonna get interesting for sure. And Angelina Joelie's tattoo artist mister Kay
- 9:28took to Instagram yesterday and said she got a tattoo on her middle fingers.
- 9:31So he blurted out, so we don't know exactly what this mystery tattoo says,
- 9:37but people are saying, uh. One person joked right after he said,
- 9:41I still can't believe that I actually grabbed her hand and tattooed her.
- 9:45Guess she got? Guess what she got on her palm? And somebody said,
- 9:50bleak brads right on her middle fingers. Can you imagine? Uh,
- 9:54yeah, that'd be nice. I'm sure the kids would love it. We
- 9:56really bring everybody together, do you what do you mean he grabbed your hand?
- 10:00He just like, That's what I was wondering. So she did she
- 10:03just go in for a random tattoo, and you're like, let's just do
- 10:07this real quick, give me your hand quick, Let's see what if we
- 10:09can muster up to put on here. I don't know. Jennifer Aniston as
- 10:15she would like cancel culture to be done. She says she wants to cancel
- 10:18cancel Culture. Pike said this one out. I know you're gonna get all
- 10:22worked up. I know you already. She says, I'm so over canceled
- 10:24culture. I probably just got canceled by saying that. I just don't understand
- 10:28what it means. Is there no redemption? I don't know. I don't
- 10:31put everybody into the Harvey Weinstein basket. I mean, neither do we,
- 10:35but every situation is different. Well they need to be in that basket,
- 10:39right. I'm not a big cancel culture guy. I'm a big, you
- 10:41know, consequence for your actions kind of guy. Hot take, pretty deep,
- 10:46stop. No, I mean it's just a pretty unoriginal take from Jennifer
- 10:50Aniston, who played the sixth most likable character on Friends, also super annoying
- 10:54in this interview. And I love Jennifer Aniston, but she does all kinds
- 10:56of things to make herself look young, and I'm thinking, you, really,
- 11:00you look the exact same. She's got to have some youthful something in
- 11:03a bottle and makes it look easy. No, I think it's probably genetics
- 11:07and a ton of money put those things together. It's a dangerous thing.
- 11:11I mean, do you think is that the fountain of youth? Oh?
- 11:16I don't know. Don't you have to load down on some products? She's
- 11:18well, she did say she has, and this is the technical term.
- 11:22It's called the salmon sperm facial, and so she must. I'm guessing it's
- 11:28salmon eggs that you would put all over your face. I don't want to
- 11:31know how she got that out of salmon. I don't know. We don't
- 11:33have We don't have salmon locally. I know that, but you know there
- 11:37might be some mother fish. He could probably go home, didn't I just
- 11:39go to the We go to the deep blue seafood, go grabma. Doesn't
- 11:43think of salmon? Put it on your face? See what happens? Do
- 11:46you have any live male salmon in the backack of borrow? In the morning.
- 11:54This woman is writing in saying that her husband is claiming she is quote
- 11:58disgusting. First of all, is there a circumstance where you'd be okay with
- 12:01your husband Nick calling you disgusting? No, every once in a while he'll
- 12:05call me foul foul. See now that's because that's funny. You won't believe
- 12:09what this woman was called disgusting by her husband. She was talking and just
- 12:13openly sharing a story and she mentioned how she pete in the shower and her
- 12:18husband was repulsed by this. Really okay, and she said she thought everybody
- 12:24doesn't. And so you know the old saying there's two kinds of people in
- 12:28the world, the people that pee in the people that pee in the shower,
- 12:31and then liars because before yes, you know, because of course,
- 12:33right, there's some people that enjoy doing that. I tend hasn't happened.
- 12:37Yes, I don't, like, I'd rather go on the toilet than if
- 12:41I have to go, I'm gonna go to the bathroom before I jump in
- 12:45the shower to go to make sense, that is the distinction from me,
- 12:48because obviously you could, like you could have gone to the bathroom and they've
- 12:50got right in the shower and whatever reason that warm water, like I guess
- 12:52there was more in the tank or what happened. Yeah, But to just
- 12:56like bypass the toilet because you know you're getting in the shower, to me,
- 13:00that's kind of gross. And a lot of people are saying, well,
- 13:03she's being you know, economical, like saving water, it's one less
- 13:05flush of the toilet. But also people are saying it's like you can go
- 13:09into somebody's bathroom and you can tell, get right, if you're in a
- 13:11stranger's bathroom, you can tell who's being in the shower and who's not,
- 13:16because there's like there's a stanch. I mean, if you're in the ship,
- 13:18absolutely, what are you eating asparagus? Boy? You know, I
- 13:22like my green so really I don't know what you're talking about, So we
- 13:28might have like a totally different conversation. And maybe, of course there's a
- 13:33stench. If you send their unloading into the drain a day after day,
- 13:37every morning, there's gonna be a noticeable stanch. I envision maybe the sense
- 13:43of like a urinal, like just like a bathroom. If I can make
- 13:48a candle, Oh god, it probably is one man sent. Yeah,
- 13:52I will say on that note, urinals have come so far, like in
- 13:54my lifetime, nothing is really like like technology wise progressed quite as much as
- 13:58a urinal. I hadn't seen a urinal and quite some time until I was
- 14:03at the Fargodome for the Pink Show. Yeah, I was, much to
- 14:05my surprise, after waiting in line for thirty five minutes to go to the
- 14:09bathroom. There were urinals in there, and I thought to myself, none
- 14:11of us ladies, he said, we were just that had to go that
- 14:15bad, that we were going to try to attempt it. I'm trying to
- 14:16figure out how that would work. And also I should know that I was
- 14:18that whole time we were talking thinking about a porta potty. So that's my
- 14:22bad. You know how I was just going off about how technology has changed
- 14:26with the urinals. That's not what I meant. I was talking about porta
- 14:28potties because those those have come a long way. Sport urinals themselves, not
- 14:33really. Sometimes you go into a porta potty and all of a sudden,
- 14:37you go, this one isn't so bad, honestly, when they have the
- 14:41mirror and of course this hand sanitizer. And you know what changed the game
- 14:45is when they speaking of urinals, they added the urinal for men, because
- 14:48otherwise you go in there and there's it's just everywhere. It's it's like somebody
- 14:52just went into a wild Yes, it's like an unmanned fire host was in
- 14:56there, like in a Man in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 15:07All right, is that time where we try to get somebody out of
- 15:09the friend zone. This one, you know, I feel like this guy's
- 15:13onto something here, but let's see what we can do. His name is
- 15:15Brian. He's on the phone right now. How are you doing, man?
- 15:16Hey, doing all right? How are you We're doing good? Good,
- 15:20good good. Sounds like you are in the friend zone. Well,
- 15:22I'm not totally sure anymore. I'm kind of cons you. Well, I'm
- 15:26pencil Laura. I met Laura years ago, but we went to a pink
- 15:31concert last Saturday and she kissed me on the cheek, and now everything's changed.
- 15:35Oh a little smooched you on the cheek? Gay? I mean that
- 15:37could go a lot of ways. Was it like, oh hey, Bud,
- 15:41put your arms around, gives you a side smooch? Or was it
- 15:43all I just I was watching the show and the next thing I know,
- 15:46she kissed me on the cheek. I didn't really catch what was going on.
- 15:48So he's had the furthest YouTube have ever gone? Have you ever crossed
- 15:52that boundary before you said? Even known her for you? Yeah, that's
- 15:54the first. And I don't really want to ruin the friendship or anything,
- 15:58but I want to I do want more from the relationship, honestly. Okay,
- 16:00let's see if we can't make these smooches a little more free, or
- 16:04maybe move them over to the lips. Oh, don't get crazy, Amanda,
- 16:08My god, kids listening all right, Brian. So here's what we're
- 16:11gonna do. We're gonna call Laura. You gave us her number, thank
- 16:14you. So we're gonna call her. You stay quiet. We're gonna talk
- 16:17to her, kind of feel her out and see what she's thinking. Maybe
- 16:18we can an answer to what there was a kiss was all about. Okay,
- 16:22Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi, is this Laura?
- 16:30This is Laura? Is it? Oh? Hey Laura, it's Pike and
- 16:34Amanda. We do a morning show on Big nighty point seven here in Fargo,
- 16:38cleverly titled Pike in Amanda in the Morning. How are you doing today?
- 16:44I'm doing okay. How are you all? Well? We're pretty good,
- 16:48very good. We just had a couple of random questions for you.
- 16:51If you don't mind, you have like sixty seconds. Sure, sure,
- 16:55okay, great. First question for you, can we ask you are you
- 16:57single? Yeah? I'm single? Great answer. After a good start here,
- 17:03love it? Okay. The reason we ask, is because we know
- 17:07somebody who has a crush on you? Yeah, what how does that make
- 17:12you for? Is this a joke? It is not a joke. There
- 17:18really is somebody who has a crush on you. Now, when we say
- 17:22that, is there anybody that comes to mind? Or maybe you've got a
- 17:25little crush on somebody? I don't know, nobody comes to mind, Laura,
- 17:30Come on, there's got to be somebody out there. No, not
- 17:34right now. Like I just got out of a bad relationship. This year's
- 17:38back and I just I don't really feel ready to start dating again, so
- 17:42I really can't think of anyone. Okay, did you do anything fun this
- 17:48past weekend? H Yeah, I went to a concert. Oh yeah.
- 17:51It wasn't a big pink concert, was it? It was? How do
- 17:56you know that? Well? I mean this is a big is we're gonna
- 18:00be able to give you? Did you go by yourself or maybe not so
- 18:04much? No? I went with my friend Brian. You didn't end up
- 18:11And this is I don't know this would be true at all, But you
- 18:12didn't end up smooching Brian, did you? No? No, we didn't
- 18:18kiss. You didn't give him a little peck, not even on the cheek.
- 18:22I mean, I guess you on the cheek for like a cute pick,
- 18:26but like that was it? Like I wait, wait for a pick?
- 18:30Like you're just posing like an Instagram picture friends kiss on the cheek.
- 18:36That's not weird. To be clear, this wasn't you making a move on
- 18:37your friend, Brian. No, no, we're just friends. But do
- 18:41you ever think you could be more than friends? No? No, no,
- 18:45no no no, we are totally just friends. No. I feel
- 18:51so bad if I gave the wrong impression. I was just doing it for
- 18:52a picture, like it was just fun. Okay, before this gets too
- 18:56awkward, we just got to be honest with you. You know, we
- 19:00had full intentions of getting Brian out of the friend zone, and he's actually
- 19:03been on the phone this entire time. Bryan. Oh my god, Brian,
- 19:08do you have anything you want to maybe say to Laura? Yeah,
- 19:11I'm really embarrassed. I gotta go. Oh you guys, this he didn't
- 19:19up, Brian did Oh my god, Laura? Oh man, I hope
- 19:26we did not ruin your concert buddy relationships. Please keep this calling back please
- 19:32and just stuff PILM. We're sorry, Okay, I will Oh my god,
- 19:36oh my god. Well, Laura, apparently you gotta be careful when
- 19:38you're just smooching people at concerts. It was all for the Graham Pike.
- 19:42Oh guys, Pike in a minute in the morning, Come on, get
- 19:48up on Big seven. This guy of all these stupid reasons to get fired
- 19:55for it. First of all, you ever been fired for a job?
- 19:56I want you to think about that. I want to know. I want
- 19:59to know the dumb, silliest reason he got fired from a job. Seven
- 20:02one eight seven. A security guard at a Taylor Swift show recently was let
- 20:07go from his security position because he wanted as he was standing, he's one
- 20:12of these guys that like are standing facing away from the stage. Hey,
- 20:15is this the one who went viral? Correct? Okay, so he's gone
- 20:18viral because he wanted to get a photo of him and Taylor because he realized
- 20:22that she was getting very close to him, like in the background. So
- 20:26he's not allowed to get his phone out, so he wrote on a note
- 20:29to another concertgoer, hey can you take a picture if Taylor Swift gets close
- 20:33to me? And then here's my number texted to me. So he got
- 20:37fired because he went viral. This photo he put online and you know,
- 20:40everybody knew the story. So he got let go from his security job.
- 20:42Well, it's ridiculous because he was following all of the guidelines and if I
- 20:48am understanding this correctly, he really didn't break any rules because where you not
- 20:52supposed to interact, I mean, it's not like a hard and fast rule,
- 20:56like I'm sure the manual doesn't say, hey, no writing notes to
- 21:00concert goers, right, But he was viral because he was like singing along
- 21:03and like kind of leading the charge. He was basically like fangirling in this
- 21:07whole section. And that's not why I got fired. I mean you can,
- 21:11I guess, go ahead and do that if you want. But fun
- 21:14security guy who was enjoying the concert, and he I like my security guards
- 21:19to be very serious. The ones that just stand there and like, don't
- 21:23even think about making eye contact with them, or they're gonna just like,
- 21:27I mean, come on, we used to do this thing. Like you
- 21:30ever go to like a Twins game and before the game or between innings,
- 21:33like the security guards just stand out there with their arms crossed, just looking
- 21:36out and they look so awkward. They're like robots, you know. So
- 21:38me and my brother. We used to do this thing where you like point
- 21:41at them and then like kind of pretend like you're talking about him, and
- 21:42it makes them so uncomfortable. Times they don't know how to act. I
- 21:48would assume that the reason this guy got fired, though, is because he
- 21:49put it on TikTok. You've never been fired, though, right, I
- 21:52have not been fired. Would have knock on wood, This lady just bulletproof,
- 21:57just a just valuable, no matter what job you're doing. I really
- 22:00haven't had a lot of jobs though. I worked at a golf course a
- 22:04couple of times. I worked had a hot stinted Applebee's as the hostess for
- 22:08five minutes and then wasn't my thing. And then I also worked at a
- 22:11shoe store. That's pretty that's a pretty good run. I did hear a
- 22:15rumor in the halls just a minute ago that they're letting you go today.
- 22:17Okay, let's just beware, thank you. Is that when my key fob
- 22:19was a little dicey this morning. I've never been fired. Also, again,
- 22:25just so valuable. I mean, I mean not even an Arbys.
- 22:27With all the stories you've told us about Arby's in Dilworth, I could I
- 22:32could have worked at Arby's forever. In fact, I might go Back'll see
- 22:33how this works out. Well part time. Yeah, I've told you the
- 22:37story, but I should have got fired from my this radio job when I
- 22:41first started. Yeah, I remember it like it was yesterday. I think.
- 22:42I actually, if you want me to, I could google the email.
- 22:45I think I saved it in a little history, oh my apology email
- 22:48to the staff. Because it was the NDSU homecoming parade. And when I
- 22:52was first starting, I was wearing the mascot for the station we worked on,
- 22:56that big drive by breakfast guy. So I was supposed to be there
- 23:00early in the morning to the NDCU parade over by the Fargodome is where it
- 23:03starts. And I was gonna be in this mascot on top of the vehicle.
- 23:07And well, the night before we are at a graduation party or something,
- 23:10and yeah, I was drinking, okay, And I had this thing
- 23:12back then where no matter what, if I had two beers or two hundred
- 23:15beers, I would puke the next morning. It was. It was a
- 23:18real bad situation you had on your hands. So I get on this vehicle
- 23:21wearing this mascot too, knowing that I'm like, not well, And as
- 23:23soon as the vehicle started moving, I'm like, I gotta throw up and
- 23:26I can't. I'm wearing this big, giant head, so I had So
- 23:30what did you do? Pike jumped off the vehicle, ran to the side
- 23:33of University Drive and I just take the head off and start yakking all over
- 23:37the street in front of these poor children, patrons, ndsu fans for Godians,
- 23:44all just trying to have a great Saturday morning. I mean, all
- 23:48they were wanting was just some radio station vehicles to drive by, throwing candy.
- 23:52And here's here's a man just throwing up. I just remember the emails
- 23:56too, this kid, no, no, because you're and you've always just
- 24:00been this guy. You're genuinely disappointed in yourself. You're like, I'm so
- 24:04sorry. You were mortified. Also, I remember all of us laughing because
- 24:10it was so bad, and there was one guy who really was upset.
- 24:11He was very upset, but everybody else is kind of like, couldn't been
- 24:15anybody. I mean, it was funny. It's just so funny. My
- 24:18defense was like, well, I didn't drink that much. It's just I
- 24:21have a stomach issue. It's a different, different thing. Okay, I
- 24:26get a mina in the morning, Big nutty eight point seven. Now here's
- 24:30what you need to Now, perhaps to my part company realtors, let them
- 24:33help you find your next home. Experience the power of park. Visit park
- 24:37company dot com to make your next move. Everybody was talking about it yesterday
- 24:41and if you missed it, we do. Haven't posted on our Facebook page
- 24:45the reimagined for Godome. Everybody's always asking for updates to it. And after
- 24:48going to the Pink concert the other night, for sure bathrooms need to be
- 24:52added. But parget Home general manager Robs Blick, along with some others had
- 24:55an informational meeting yesterday to talk about the existing facility and how they want to
- 24:59remodel ad and they also want to add a ninety thousand square foot convention center.
- 25:03It's amazing to see what they want to do. I could run between
- 25:07one hundred and sixteen and one hundred and forty million dollars. Renovations are expected
- 25:11to cost around eighty five dollars or eighty five million dollars. When you look
- 25:14at the breakdown of things people are talking about the taxes. I think that's
- 25:17probably the biggest thing. But when you look at it for what it's going
- 25:19to do for our community, Well, a big old convention, a lot
- 25:23of people to town. And you know you talked about the what the launching
- 25:26tax, which is like you know if you're staying at a hotel, so
- 25:30largely that would fall on people visiting, right, you know, I mean,
- 25:33have we consider asking Josh the mall for a sizeable donation? That would
- 25:37be ill Larus, big Fargo guy. What you call it the Josh Dome?
- 25:42Where are you guys going to see going to the jo Joshi Dome?
- 25:48Call it the Josh That is pretty awesome. Well maybe the Josh Authority and
- 25:53the City Commission, the Fargo Authority, they are going to be meeting and
- 26:00here in a couple of weeks we'll kind of find out. But if it
- 26:00does it get approved, then the special election vote will be for residents on
- 26:04December fef. All right, I was a little premature with the Fraser.
- 26:07Here we go, all right, literally he does. We found out last
- 26:14hour that he was only in his thirties when he was on Fraser one hundred
- 26:18years ago. Forties. But still he looked like, yeah, it looks
- 26:22like he does now. Yeah, he is sixty eight years old and he's
- 26:25coming back. The reboot is going to premiere on Paramount Plus on October twelve.
- 26:29CBS IS will begin airing the show on October seventeenth. See I didn't
- 26:32get into the show the first go around. Oh you missed out. Now
- 26:34I feel like maybe appreciation because it's a radio person. Well he's a radio
- 26:38therapist or whatever. But I had a little crush on what was his producer's
- 26:42name, Roz. I remember it just as a kid in the nineties.
- 26:45Watch Yeah, you remember the dog. The dog is no longer with us.
- 26:49I'm well aware. Right now do the Dogs forty two? He'll be
- 26:52making an appearance in the reboot. It's pretty cool. I wonder if they
- 26:56will look alike doc about We'll have to check him find out. And this
- 27:00is just disgusting. I never even think about it. There's certain things that
- 27:04you whether it's your cell phone or just things that you touch all of the
- 27:07time or where all the time, and you really don't think about how gross
- 27:11it. Maybe a new research was really last yesterday saying that your Apple either
- 27:15watch or you fit fit any of them. What about Granny Smith? Apple?
- 27:22Stop the contamination. We're talking like, is just contaminated with bacteria.
- 27:27What do you think is dirtier your Apple Watch or my Red Delicious? What
- 27:33do you think? Guys more Germans? Are you washing it? Have you
- 27:37ever? This is a random Have you ever washed fruit with that gray that
- 27:44feels so weird? Like the chemical spray or whatever people put most to take
- 27:47it off of there? I did that once with fruit, and I thought
- 27:48I don't want to ever do that again because it was so disgusting to see
- 27:52what was all makes the slime and the good coming off of it. You
- 27:56don't need all that. All you gonna do is just like put it under
- 27:59the sink for one worth of a second and now it's clean. See I
- 28:03washed him. I did it. Remember something's wet, it can't be dirty.
- 28:07And tonight is a night Governor Bergham taking the main stage. It is
- 28:11the first Republican National Convention or debate. I mean that's a Republican debate.
- 28:18There's what ten of them on there. The old Trumpster is not going to
- 28:22be there tonight, but they are saying he's going to be whether he's there
- 28:26or not, which he won't be. The talk that ever, I think
- 28:30he's going to be arrested tomorrow, according to what he's telling everybody. I
- 28:34can't keep up with that whole situation, but it will be interesting just to
- 28:37hear from all these different candidates, and for me, hearing about Governor Bergham
- 28:41just on that platform and what he has to say. I think we already
- 28:45know, just because he's been in our community for so long. There was
- 28:48a local news outlet yesterday on the Inform that put together a drinking game.
- 28:52I don't know if you saw this. I didn't see. What are we
- 28:56looking for when it comes to this drinking game? Well, I think inflation
- 28:59was on there. I have to pull it up. There was a bunch
- 29:00of different words and phrases that, of course, if you've heard him or
- 29:04his commercials say, this is gotcha, this is I also just got breaking
- 29:08news. Bergham injured playing basketball just before a pivotal debate. Stop. He's
- 29:14not backing up because of a basketball and I think, seriously, just pulled
- 29:18this up. Gosh, hang on, you got to throw on some crutches
- 29:22into a debate, right, bigas night of your life and you're out shooting.
- 29:26He was taken to the emergency room. Oh, my god, who
- 29:30walking after playing a pickup basketball game with this staff? Oh man, I
- 29:36didn't know Doug was a hoopster. Yeah, making it unclear whether or not
- 29:40he's going to be able to stand. Oh just stay on, will you
- 29:42can sit? Get one of those chairs, get a table. We're good.
- 29:45She's gotta be there, right, there's no way, Doug Jordan,
- 29:51I had no clue. I am wanting now them to have the space jam
- 29:59themes when he shows up, he has your chance. Do your Davins at
- 30:03the space all right? Anyway, shut it down. You see, you
- 30:07can make the presidential debate. Maybe you're not a person who wants to watch
- 30:11it, you could make it super entertaining. Tonight, tune in, give
- 30:14it a peek more. There was today gonna be sunny, high of eighty
- 30:18five. Thank you so much for that reporting, if we appreciate it.
- 30:22In the morning. Seven. Well, hey, listen, we were talking
- 30:26earlier about the Taylor Swift security guard. You see this guy that got fired
- 30:29fired because he wanted a picture while he was working. To be fair,
- 30:33you're not supposed to do that, but the way he did it I thought
- 30:37was pretty clever, and honestly, who cares he was still doing his job.
- 30:41Well, you're standing there and he knows he's not supposed to take his
- 30:42phone out. Imagine a job where you're gonna have your phone out. Amanda's
- 30:45on her phone right now, massin if you had to put the kid.
- 30:48So he's sitting there and he wants a photo with Taylor in the background.
- 30:52So he wrote a note to a concert goer and said, hey, if
- 30:56she gets close to me, take a photo. Here's my number texted to
- 30:59me. So thinks he's like, you know, getting around the rules.
- 31:00Yeah, well they found out anyway, and he's that has been fired.
- 31:03Put it on TikTok. So I think that's probably the biggest thing is when
- 31:07you are doing something, you're putting it on TikTok. Unfortunately, now you're
- 31:11putting it out there to the world, and if you're doing something that your
- 31:15company doesn't agree with, well that's grounds for firing people. Just to go
- 31:18viral. For a hot second, just to go viral, I know.
- 31:22And now his career as a security guard is just just derailed. But we
- 31:26were talking about reasons you've been fired from a job, and Amanda and I
- 31:30but neither of us have been fired, which of course, now that we
- 31:32say that we're going to leave the studio today and they're gonna have a you
- 31:34know, the HR lady and knocking on wood. No, but we've had
- 31:40a lot of people chime in on our Facebook page. You can feel free
- 31:41to give us a call seven oh one two eight one ninety eight seven or
- 31:44shoot us attacks. Heather said just for making a joke. She didn't elaborate.
- 31:48But we work in an environment. I mean, think about some of
- 31:51the things you say. Sometimes people take things wrong and you just never know.
- 31:55I mean, for example, like intern Gracie, and you know,
- 31:56we do have to be careful because we have an intern in the studio.
- 32:00But I mean, if if you're being honest, how many things could I
- 32:01be fired for that? I've said today just if you had a ballpark A
- 32:05handful and it is, oh my gosh. We had somebody in here saying
- 32:12that they totally outed what the company was doing their sketchy operation. Were they
- 32:16laundering money? I don't know, but we do have Jim on here saying
- 32:21turned in the boss and the owner to the I R s Oh, that
- 32:23don't get you. I was like Jim was scorn and on his way out
- 32:28held a lot of people on here too, just in general for taking the
- 32:34day off. Again, I feel like there's more to it. You know.
- 32:37You get to that situation where if it is a job you don't care
- 32:37about and you ask for time off because you have something you want to do,
- 32:40and they're like, no, you can't get the time off. So
- 32:43it's basically like, oh, I'm not going to show up, so you
- 32:45can either fire me or give me the day off. It's up to you.
- 32:47Yeah, no, I get that. This is just in Katrina said.
- 32:52I was fired because I walked in on two men robbing the business they
- 32:55had broken before we opened, and I didn't know it until I had a
- 32:59gun pointed at my hand and they let her go. Be like the hero,
- 33:04you know. I feel like there's more details. Know that we're not
- 33:07here. Need people to start elaborating more on this. But seven nine eight
- 33:12seven what got you fired from a job? Hey, good morning, I
- 33:15have fired from a job. One Oh what happened for being an independent thinker?
- 33:20An independent thinker drove truck at the time, I got stuck in a
- 33:24snow storm and make my delivery. Sorry, I took it upon myself being
- 33:29on a weekend to rescu the load, and they fired me over They don't
- 33:34like that. They like to be the ones to res Okay, yeah,
- 33:37yeah, they waited so after the holiday vacation, fired me on New Year's
- 33:43Eve. Oh they waited till after the holidays. Yep. Well, I
- 33:46guess there's that. I don't know if it makes you feel any better at
- 33:51all, but thanks for the call. Man seven one ninety eight seven.
- 33:54What got you fired? Let us know? I would just cry, like,
- 34:00well, it depends. I mean there was probably times where it's like
- 34:01super liberating, like oh thank god. You know, it's like if somebody
- 34:04breaks up with you and it's just like, oh darn it, I'm so
- 34:07sad. I didn't want this in the morning. Are you a fan of
- 34:19having house guests? Because it turns out, according to a new survey of
- 34:22two thousand Americans, sixty five percent of people regret telling a guest to make
- 34:28themselves at home. Oh really, see, we love hosting people. Oh
- 34:31yeah, I never get invited, But people regret having guests at their home
- 34:37because they do things they just make themselves too comfortable. Some of the unwanted
- 34:40guest behaviors include wanting too many knee holds overstaying they're welcome and hogging the bathroom.
- 34:47Okay, that's so weird. Imagine going to somebody's house. I'm selling
- 34:51nervous to use a bathroom in somebody's house, especially if it's obviously like a
- 34:54serious situation. Right. It is one of those things where you know,
- 34:58you say things like, oh, you know, make yourself up at home,
- 35:00but once they do, it's kind of weird. You're like, hey,
- 35:01I know I said that, but I didn't really mean it. Yeah,
- 35:05and I and this also kind of the opposite maybe makes people uncomfortable,
- 35:08but whenever we go to people's houses, we tend to take over and try
- 35:13to like help cook, or we tend to all clean up and leave your
- 35:15house almost nicer than when I got there, Like I just want to.
- 35:19It's very weird, but I've always just made sure that that's kind of the
- 35:22thing, and that might, like I said, make people uncomfortable, Like,
- 35:24girl, leave my stuff alive. I know there's something better. When
- 35:27you were at somebody's house eating and they're like, oh, just throw the
- 35:30dishes in the sink. We'll take care of it. Like oh that feels
- 35:31good. Yeah, But then I feel weird. I'm like, no,
- 35:35I'll just put it in. But then also I'm super type A where if
- 35:38you're putting it in the dishwasher rung, then I'm gonna have to read do
- 35:40it anyway. So truly, just leave it in the sink. Yeah,
- 35:44House guests annoy me, like if you have people over it and like you're
- 35:46gonna go out and eat or go to the bar or whatever. I cannot
- 35:49stand because for me, like I'm just ready to go, like once it
- 35:52we're going, like my clothes are on and you just go. But like
- 35:54I'm not pointing out women specifically, but you guys, like it takes so
- 35:59long for you to leave the house. Even if I tell my husband,
- 36:01I just I'm gonna throw a hat on real quick and change. That's at
- 36:05least a ten fifteen minute process. And I'm just we're standing there like idiots
- 36:07by the door, shoes are on, keys are in my hand. It's
- 36:10like, come on, now, where are you at with the shoes situation?
- 36:14Oh, shoes on? I get like, weird on? Absolutely,
- 36:16I don't care. You know, I'll say it to be nice, but
- 36:19do you want me to take my shoes off? And somebody says yes,
- 36:22I'm like, Oh, you don't just go into somebody's house and take your
- 36:23shoes off instantly. Nah, for what most of them is hard floor?
- 36:29Who cares shoes if I was slopping around in some dog poo like sure,
- 36:34like you're on the ground, like you're everywhere. Look at the bottom of
- 36:37my shoes right now, Like we're inside right now with our shoes on.
- 36:39What are we doing? Yeah, but this isn't my home. I'm not
- 36:43like sitting on the ground plane with my kids doing magna tiles with your gruesome
- 36:47feet all up on my carpet. That word
