- 1:23Speaker 2: is Friday. You finally get some rain too. I'm loving
- 1:26Speaker 2: this little gnarley out there. Yeah it was pretty bad.
- 1:29Speaker 2: We got another one coming by in a few minutes.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Ol blurb. I'm a radar geek. I love weather radar.
- 1:34Speaker 2: That's all I do as well. Straight get that's my
- 1:36Speaker 2: bird watching. By the way, his radar was is it?
- 1:39Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:39Speaker 4: The the Merlin app they have found has helped people's
- 1:43Speaker 4: mental health better than mental health apps. Really, the Merlin
- 1:46Speaker 4: bird app. Yeah wait really I love that thing.
- 1:49Speaker 2: You click it and it tells you what bird.
- 1:50Speaker 4: It is whatever identifies the calls and shows you pictures.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Oh that that is really cool. Ye it is. I
- 1:56Speaker 2: see people. I see clips of people using it on
- 1:58Speaker 2: the line, and at first I didn't know what the
- 1:59Speaker 2: hell they were doing. I was like, this Onney's just
- 2:00Speaker 2: taking pictures of trees for no reason. Oh no, And
- 2:03Speaker 2: the whole time she was taking pictures of birds and
- 2:05Speaker 2: identifying them.
- 2:06Speaker 4: My best friend is obsessed with it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Now. Is that a little bit of a cheat code?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Though?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Is it the whole idea of bird watching to learn
- 2:13Speaker 2: the feather patterns and beak patterns and stuff like that
- 2:16Speaker 2: so you can spot them. I mean, is it is that.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Part of that is learning their call so that when
- 2:20Speaker 4: you hear a specific call, you'll be like, oh, that's
- 2:23Speaker 4: a male cardinal or that's a blue jay. So once
- 2:26Speaker 4: they identify the call for you, and then you're just
- 2:28Speaker 4: sitting on your front porch, you can identify all the
- 2:31Speaker 4: different bird species that are, you know, taking roosts in
- 2:33Speaker 4: your trees and plants.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Many got home last night and made some dinner, sat down,
- 2:37Speaker 2: probably around eight thirty or so, and that storm had
- 2:40Speaker 2: just rolled through right right, and man, I don't know
- 2:42Speaker 2: what it is I think that thing fires up this
- 2:44Speaker 2: hoss about owl I have in my backyard. Oh, I
- 2:47Speaker 2: mean like when he when he hoots, he like rattles
- 2:49Speaker 2: the windows. It's big. Really, we've seen him out there before.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I took a picture of him before. He's giant.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:54Speaker 2: He's probably a foot and a half tall or something.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Oh wow, he really big. Sounds like a barn o.
- 2:59Speaker 6: Man.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Did you guys see the roller coaster stuck? Have you
- 3:01Speaker 2: guys seen that? No, dude, there is a roller coaster
- 3:04Speaker 2: that's been so kicks are blowing up, gym. I got
- 3:08Speaker 2: an email last night. Code Black had asked me to
- 3:11Speaker 2: go play trivia and I couldn't. I had so much
- 3:12Speaker 2: to do last night. When I got home and he
- 3:15Speaker 2: just casually sent me a text last night and he goes, oh,
- 3:18Speaker 2: by the way, this and then he shows me this explosion.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, what movie is that. He's like, no,
- 3:22Speaker 2: that that's not a movie. That just happened a few
- 3:24Speaker 2: minutes ago over on the Space Coast. I'm like, there's
- 3:27Speaker 2: no way. Google boom Space Coast and you see that
- 3:30Speaker 2: thing collapse and you can't even believe it, Like you
- 3:33Speaker 2: can't even but it looks like a nuclear bomb going off.
- 3:37Speaker 4: The thing that shocked me the most was the videos
- 3:39Speaker 4: that I saw on Instagram reminded me of the launch
- 3:43Speaker 4: that we saw in person. It was like the first
- 3:46Speaker 4: SpaceX flight where they sent humans back to Earth and
- 3:48Speaker 4: we were lucky enough to be very close to the
- 3:51Speaker 4: launch site to see it. It's the same thing. I
- 3:54Speaker 4: was amazed watching the reels on Instagram how long it
- 3:57Speaker 4: took for the sound oh yes, of the explosion and
- 4:00Speaker 4: to reach the people recording it. From Della and I,
- 4:03Speaker 4: you could see the fireball was already like pretty much
- 4:06Speaker 4: all the way up in the sky. Yeah, before you
- 4:08Speaker 4: heard the baboom.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Now I have to ask, I mean, obviously we care
- 4:11Speaker 2: about the estuaries over there, we care about the lagoon.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I was thinking the same thing. And when you have
- 4:16Speaker 2: how many tons of has to be some of the
- 4:19Speaker 2: most caustic chemicals that we have to create propulsion to
- 4:23Speaker 2: send something that big in the sky, you know, at
- 4:25Speaker 2: that speed to get it into orbit? I mean, is
- 4:27Speaker 2: it safe over there? No one lost their life, there
- 4:31Speaker 2: were no injuries. Can't we take this as a win?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Is that a fair question? Is if it's safe? Is
- 4:36Speaker 2: the water safe? Like if you live on that water area,
- 4:40Speaker 2: Like if you live where that feeds, I mean, do
- 4:42Speaker 2: you go into that water? And by the way, I
- 4:44Speaker 2: saw just like an email that came out said, oh,
- 4:46Speaker 2: by the way, you know that you hey have some
- 4:48Speaker 2: stuff wash up on your beach or whatever, like I
- 4:50Speaker 2: probably wouldn't touch that.
- 4:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I've got a story actually coming about Yeah, talking
- 4:55Speaker 4: about that coming up in JCS news.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Exter says it rattled their house in Cassobury. Why do
- 5:00Speaker 2: I doubt this? Yeah, I'll tell you why I doubt
- 5:02Speaker 2: this because I live in Winter Springs and I didn't
- 5:04Speaker 2: feel anyway. Well, good Black was in Castlebury playing trivia
- 5:07Speaker 2: and he didn't tell me you felt it. Yeah, I'm
- 5:10Speaker 2: assuming when you're I mean, within probably five or ten
- 5:12Speaker 2: miles you could probably feel it. Yeah, I mean, but
- 5:15Speaker 2: outside of Titusville you look at Yeah, I mean, I
- 5:18Speaker 2: wouldn't say outside of Titusville you probably felt that. It
- 5:21Speaker 2: wasn't like an impact, you know, where you have a
- 5:23Speaker 2: bomb that you know, hits and an explodes and you
- 5:25Speaker 2: have the impact and the explosion still though, Yeah, I
- 5:30Speaker 2: learned about it from Greg and Marla. They went they
- 5:33Speaker 2: went wall the wall when it happened because they get
- 5:36Speaker 2: NBC had the basketball game, the NBA Playoffs on, and
- 5:40Speaker 2: you know, the other stations were doing what they were doing,
- 5:43Speaker 2: but they were like, nope, we're coming in with it.
- 5:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I mean that's a gigantic event. Yeah. But then again,
- 5:49Speaker 2: like as you know, anytime you cover a live event,
- 5:52Speaker 2: you can Okay, we don't know a lot, so we
- 5:54Speaker 2: have to repeat that a lot, and then then we
- 5:57Speaker 2: try and get some other people. Yeah, and they found something.
- 6:01Speaker 2: They had some people calling it was it was pretty good.
- 6:04Speaker 2: But that's how I learned about it. And I'm like, oh,
- 6:06Speaker 2: then I went down to social to see. Yeah, it
- 6:08Speaker 2: was magnificent. I mean in the worst kind of way. Yeah,
- 6:11Speaker 2: And it's so funny because I mean, you know, we've
- 6:12Speaker 2: seen these things blow up before and Elon Musk put
- 6:15Speaker 2: out Ah, you know, he'll put out a statement going, yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 2: that's the cost of learning. You know, that's the cost
- 6:19Speaker 2: of learning. Bezos did not put out that one because
- 6:22Speaker 2: that one hurts. Yeah, like this one stung a little bit.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Like I don't know what those things cost, but I
- 6:27Speaker 2: don't care. If you're a multi billionaire. I mean, when
- 6:30Speaker 2: you're burning, you know, one and a half or two
- 6:31Speaker 2: billion dollar rockets every other five days. That can't be.
- 6:34Speaker 2: But I don't know how you get back from that
- 6:36Speaker 2: and then cost alone, it sets back your schedule. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 2: I mean you have a plan. You know, when this works,
- 6:41Speaker 2: then we go to the next step. It's like, okay,
- 6:44Speaker 2: not only do we not go to the next step,
- 6:46Speaker 2: we have to figure out why this did not work exactly.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Did you see the damage to the lawn chair. I
- 6:50Speaker 2: did not see that yet. What let's just say it,
- 6:54Speaker 2: it's like somebody held a blow towards over it for
- 6:56Speaker 2: about an hour.
- 6:57Speaker 4: It's been destroyed. It's gonna have to be rebuilt. So
- 7:00Speaker 4: that's that's also going to play into the timeline of
- 7:02Speaker 4: them doing anything. And again in JCS news, I'll have
- 7:05Speaker 4: a lot of information, like you know, yeah, yeah, it's heartbreaking.
- 7:08Speaker 4: It's a heartbreaking setback for NASA.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It really is. I mean, I don't mean make fun
- 7:12Speaker 2: of it, but when you see a collapse of technology
- 7:15Speaker 2: at that level, and we know that these things, I
- 7:17Speaker 2: mean we watched it happen with the Apollo program. We
- 7:19Speaker 2: watch meltdowns and tests to go poorly for the Apollo program.
- 7:22Speaker 2: We were learning this next stage of that, and that
- 7:25Speaker 2: happens what do you think. Elon Musk's initial reaction is, oh, god,
- 7:28Speaker 2: damn you trust me, I tell you he did A
- 7:31Speaker 2: cart will be good. Yeah, But you know what this does.
- 7:33Speaker 4: This did make me think actually about something we talked
- 7:37Speaker 4: about earlier, and that's that fund they're thinking about setting
- 7:39Speaker 4: up for folks on the Space coast. Yes, who are
- 7:42Speaker 4: talking about all of the vibrations from these launches creating
- 7:46Speaker 4: cracks and their foundation and their walls. So something like
- 7:50Speaker 4: this just makes me go, I actually had the thought, man,
- 7:52Speaker 4: I would not want to have to own property over
- 7:54Speaker 4: there and have to worry not just of the launches,
- 7:56Speaker 4: but the anomalies.
- 7:57Speaker 2: How about this. Remember the down winders. Oh yeah, when
- 8:00Speaker 2: they were doing the nuke test the desert in the fifties,
- 8:02Speaker 2: they didn't tell anybody, and the next thing you know,
- 8:06Speaker 2: they have this wave of cancer issues and thyroid issues,
- 8:09Speaker 2: all these crazy issues. Yeah, downwind of those sites when
- 8:12Speaker 2: they were doing nuke tests and stuff. Now, I'm not
- 8:14Speaker 2: saying this is anything like that, but I mean again,
- 8:17Speaker 2: if you're a downwind or you're near that area, within
- 8:19Speaker 2: the plume of that, I mean, I can't imagine that
- 8:21Speaker 2: makes you happy.
- 8:22Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't be yeah, because it's not like they're
- 8:25Speaker 4: blowing you know, baby powder in your direction.
- 8:27Speaker 2: That's and it's interesting because I mean Jack brings up
- 8:29Speaker 2: a good point. You're there, you get a great vista
- 8:32Speaker 2: of rocket launches. I mean, does that help or hurt
- 8:35Speaker 2: your property value? In other words, when you go to
- 8:37Speaker 2: sell a house over there, do you go, hey, by
- 8:38Speaker 2: the way, you know you'll get you'll get front row
- 8:41Speaker 2: seats for all these great launches. You see them all
- 8:43Speaker 2: over the world. You hear about that. But in the
- 8:45Speaker 2: other sense, you know, occasionally one of these things melt
- 8:48Speaker 2: down and it's right.
- 8:48Speaker 4: There as long as they keep looking out the window
- 8:51Speaker 4: and not at the spackle.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know what I mean. I
- 8:56Speaker 2: don't know if somebody just said it's a liquid oxygen
- 8:58Speaker 2: and methane or something like that. I don't know what's
- 9:00Speaker 2: in the burn now. I can't imagine it's very good.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I mean I remember doing tours of of the VAB
- 9:06Speaker 2: over there, and they talked about some you know, some
- 9:08Speaker 2: stuff that was pretty you know, like we can't even
- 9:10Speaker 2: tell you what's in that, you know, And then you
- 9:12Speaker 2: have a cube of stuff that they can put a
- 9:13Speaker 2: torch on for forty minutes while the guy's giving a
- 9:15Speaker 2: dissertation and the instantly pulls his hand off of it
- 9:18Speaker 2: or the torch off, but he puts his hand on
- 9:19Speaker 2: it and it's cold to the touch. I mean, I
- 9:21Speaker 2: don't know where that comes from. Yeah you did. I
- 9:23Speaker 2: can't imagine.
- 9:24Speaker 4: It's a disclosure day. It'll tell you all the secret.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Spielberg will tell us. It was just earlier this week
- 9:30Speaker 2: that NASA awarded the new contract to Blue Origin, worth
- 9:33Speaker 2: hundreds of millions of dollars, because that new Glen rocket
- 9:37Speaker 2: is the one they're using to get the lander yep
- 9:39Speaker 2: for the moon. Yeah, oh, book, how much your lunar landers? Jack,
- 9:45Speaker 2: You're gonna need a few of those for going this way.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It's on Amazon, Hey, but go make it. This roller
- 9:50Speaker 2: coaster things if you guys can find a picture of that.
- 9:52Speaker 2: These guys being rescued from this roller coaster, I want
- 9:54Speaker 2: to say it's a six flags. I'm not a hundred
- 9:56Speaker 2: on that, but I want to say, and I will
- 9:58Speaker 2: tell you, the rescue of this looks forty times scarier
- 10:02Speaker 2: than the roller coaster. I mean, way scarier than the
- 10:06Speaker 2: roll This roller coaster is about to go to the
- 10:08Speaker 2: very top of a pivot point where it goes over
- 10:10Speaker 2: and goes down and it stops. So they're straight up
- 10:13Speaker 2: and down right before they get to the top, and
- 10:15Speaker 2: they have to take an extended ladder to get up
- 10:18Speaker 2: to them and then load them out individually. They've got
- 10:21Speaker 2: to be two hundred feet in the air on a
- 10:23Speaker 2: ladder on some get a ladder or something. Look what jacket?
- 10:26Speaker 2: Look look at it. Oh, that looks just like the
- 10:30Speaker 2: rip rocket where it would go straight vertical. Look at that.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Look where it stopped. Dude, tell me that rescue isn't
- 10:39Speaker 2: way more horrifying than that ride could ever be. They're
- 10:42Speaker 2: asking you to unbuckle, go over and crawl down this ladder.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I'm sure you're you're latched onto some firefighter or whatever.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But my god, man, if you have a problem with
- 10:52Speaker 2: heights at all and you got talked into it and
- 10:54Speaker 2: you're in that car, you are hating somebody when you
- 10:56Speaker 2: get on the ground for the remainder of your existence.
- 10:59Speaker 4: No, they're gonna be me because they're gonna smell a
- 11:01Speaker 4: whole lot like do do. Although after bungee jumping, I
- 11:06Speaker 4: can tell you when you think all that stuff like, oh,
- 11:08Speaker 4: I'm gonna throw up or I'm gonna nothing. You dry
- 11:10Speaker 4: up like in oh you just you couldn't spit if
- 11:13Speaker 4: you wanted to.
- 11:14Speaker 2: You're so scared, just climb.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Oh, everything dries up because you're like, well, this is it,
- 11:19Speaker 4: this is it.
- 11:20Speaker 2: This is the least human thing I've done in my
- 11:22Speaker 2: entire one.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Exactly why did I think this was gonna cure my
- 11:25Speaker 4: fear of heights?
- 11:25Speaker 2: All right? Seven seven zero three one. That's how you
- 11:28Speaker 2: text us, Deb, You get some news.
- 11:29Speaker 4: I do, And we are going to talk about beach
- 11:32Speaker 4: goers being told to watch out for rocket explosion debris.
- 11:35Speaker 2: No, no, no, honey, that's not.
- 11:36Speaker 4: A seashell tropical exactly. Tropical downpours are ramping up the
- 11:41Speaker 4: flash flood threat and a court gives a driver a hand.
- 11:48Speaker 4: We'll talk about that and more coming up next during
- 11:50Speaker 4: JCS news.
- 11:50Speaker 2: All right, take little break, will come making it Deb's
- 11:52Speaker 2: news and do more than Jim Gord shows.
- 11:53Speaker 8: They put how's it o'hana?
- 11:55Speaker 9: Yep? All that merit island wildlife refuge that surrounds the
- 11:59Speaker 9: cape in the launch area, that's all heavily protected. You know,
- 12:02Speaker 9: no boats, kayakers, fishermen, anybody can go in there. What
- 12:06Speaker 9: remains to be seen is if we do get water
- 12:08Speaker 9: quality reports after the explosion. And very nice of a
- 12:12Speaker 9: very dear friend to my wife and I calling and
- 12:15Speaker 9: checking up on us after the mushroom cloud. Yeah rocket
- 12:19Speaker 9: go boom, no bueno. Have a great weekend.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Aloha. I love you always good hearing from you. Four
- 12:26Speaker 2: seven nine one six text us seven seven zero three one.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Colbert Show right here on
- 12:32Speaker 2: No Radio one oh four point one. I am the
- 12:34Speaker 2: Jim part. That's the jackpart YEP, and the dead part
- 12:36Speaker 2: has news.
- 12:39Speaker 1: It's time for j CS news.
- 12:42Speaker 8: Wow, this guy gotta put his name on everything.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 12:48Speaker 2: Colber Show.
- 12:49Speaker 4: And JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage guy.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Don give him a listen tomorrow morning when he's host
- 12:54Speaker 4: of the Home Loans radio show. Very dulcent tone to
- 12:58Speaker 4: his voice, Yes, lovely radio voice. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman
- 13:03Speaker 4: is due on the ground at Cape Canaveral to get
- 13:04Speaker 4: an update on last night's explosion that wiped out a
- 13:07Speaker 4: Blue Origin New Glenn rocket in a fireball. Central Florida
- 13:11Speaker 4: Congressman Mike Herodopolis tells Fox thirty five. Blue Origin is
- 13:15Speaker 4: one of two companies chosen for moon landings in twenty
- 13:18Speaker 4: twenty eight.
- 13:19Speaker 5: We're optimistic they'll have those landers ready, and that's why
- 13:22Speaker 5: it's so imperative we get back on our feet, move forward,
- 13:25Speaker 5: find out what happened so everyone is safe, but make
- 13:28Speaker 5: sure that we continue to win the space rate.
- 13:30Speaker 4: No injuries were reported, but the rocket was lost, so
- 13:33Speaker 4: was the launch complex, the launch pad that could delay
- 13:36Speaker 4: future missions. And as Jack had said before we went
- 13:39Speaker 4: to break, it was just earlier this week or last
- 13:41Speaker 4: week that NASA had announced that they had gotten the contract. Yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 4: for lunar landers and other payloads.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And their whole plan for you know, we're gonna have
- 13:50Speaker 2: this moon base. Yeah, exactly. Is awesome. It is. Let's
- 13:53Speaker 2: keep going it is now.
- 13:54Speaker 4: The incident does mark one of the company's biggest setbacks
- 13:58Speaker 4: to date, and they are saying if it weren't for
- 14:00Speaker 4: Bezos's money, this combined with what happened back in April
- 14:04Speaker 4: when they lost a very expensive satellite, could have been
- 14:07Speaker 4: the deathknell for the company if there was anyone else
- 14:09Speaker 4: other than Blue Origin.
- 14:11Speaker 2: All right.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Meanwhile, there is a warning for Florida beachgoers after that
- 14:14Speaker 4: Blue Origin rocket explosion last night, Space launched Delta forty
- 14:18Speaker 4: five says a debris from the launch vehicle anomaly. M
- 14:23Speaker 4: I gotta love NASA's way of explaining, you know, absolute destruction. No,
- 14:27Speaker 4: it was an anomaly could wash ashore along the Florida
- 14:31Speaker 4: coastline in the coming days or weeks. Officials say the
- 14:34Speaker 4: debris maybe hazardous, so they're saying, do not touch it,
- 14:37Speaker 4: do not move it, do not handle it. Anyone who
- 14:40Speaker 4: finds possible debris is urged to stay back and report
- 14:43Speaker 4: it to Blue Origin or client call nine one one
- 14:46Speaker 4: if it poses an immediate safety risk.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Get this, guys.
- 14:49Speaker 4: You can also email Mission Recovery at Blue Origin dot
- 14:53Speaker 4: com there while you're standing out there on the beach.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yes you know, so, yeah, you don't touch it. I
- 14:59Speaker 2: think they created I had an email address this morning.
- 15:03Speaker 4: What's crazy is that they're saying like New Smyrna Beach
- 15:06Speaker 4: could see it. So you don't actually have to be
- 15:08Speaker 4: in Brevar County for any of this debris to wash
- 15:11Speaker 4: up on the beaches. You could be New Smyrna Beach
- 15:13Speaker 4: days on a beach anywhere.
- 15:15Speaker 2: The currents could take it. If you're off the coast
- 15:16Speaker 2: of New Smyrna Beach. What post is more danger the
- 15:20Speaker 2: space debris or I'm gonna go space debris? Really?
- 15:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, and still take the bear.
- 15:26Speaker 2: It'd be wild if you were swinging out and get
- 15:28Speaker 2: a piece of the debris and then got bitten by
- 15:30Speaker 2: a show. Now that's an anomaly. I told you not
- 15:33Speaker 2: to touch it now.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Earlier we had posed the question what do you think
- 15:36Speaker 4: Elon Musk was doing when this happened? Well, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 4: last night's rocket explosion at Cape Canaveral not slowing down
- 15:43Speaker 4: launch operations at Florida Space Coast. I'm sure he called
- 15:46Speaker 4: them up this morning and said, hey, let's do this
- 15:48Speaker 4: and say, hey, this is how you do it.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 15:50Speaker 4: A Falcon nine rocket lifted off just before nine o'clock
- 15:53Speaker 4: this morning from Space Launch Complex forty at Cape Canaveral
- 15:57Speaker 4: Space Forest Station for another starlinkmision. The accident happened at
- 16:03Speaker 4: Complex thirty six, so it's like same complex, yeah, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 4: same one, just right down the road. Like hey, hey,
- 16:10Speaker 4: the rocket was carrying twenty nine satellites into low Earth
- 16:13Speaker 4: orbit to join thousands of other satellites and the starlink network.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Nothing to see her, just a bunch of garbage in space.
- 16:23Speaker 2: All right, you call it garbage now. But if that's
- 16:26Speaker 2: your only way to get internet in the future, and
- 16:29Speaker 2: that's the plan, that is what I tell you, that
- 16:32Speaker 2: is the plan.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Well, American Airlines just announced that they're going to offer
- 16:35Speaker 4: starlink on their flight.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I read that that's going to be his number one
- 16:40Speaker 2: source of income above anything and everything in the next
- 16:43Speaker 2: ten years. Yeah, is starlink, But think about it. Airplanes,
- 16:46Speaker 2: cruise ship, yeah, all countries. Yeah, you know, just places
- 16:50Speaker 2: you can't get internet. And it will allow country third world,
- 16:53Speaker 2: third world countries to develop because it won't require the
- 16:56Speaker 2: infrastructure that we require for that.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Now, I guess not only that it allows I just
- 17:02Speaker 4: lost my train of thought.
- 17:03Speaker 2: That Jeff Beatos's competing satellite system is what in pieces
- 17:08Speaker 2: in the ocean? Yeah, yeah, exactly, satellite, I mean, must
- 17:12Speaker 2: get the rest.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Oh, I know what I was going to say, because
- 17:14Speaker 4: you were talking about third world countries being able to develop,
- 17:17Speaker 4: but also warring countries, just like we saw with Ukraine
- 17:20Speaker 4: and having their communications cut off. It's an ability to
- 17:23Speaker 4: maintain communication.
- 17:24Speaker 2: That's a lot of power, dude, And I mean, it
- 17:26Speaker 2: really is a lot of power to put under one
- 17:28Speaker 2: person if you have the ability to shut a country's
- 17:30Speaker 2: ability to communicate down, because if they lean on that.
- 17:34Speaker 9: Uh.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I don't know what kind of regulation you put on
- 17:36Speaker 2: something like that from the home country, but I would
- 17:38Speaker 2: think that has to be looked at. Right. No, you
- 17:40Speaker 2: can't have one person, you know, switching off and on
- 17:43Speaker 2: people's communicative abilities if that's where everybody winds up going.
- 17:47Speaker 4: But who's going to be that oversight and when is
- 17:50Speaker 4: that oversight going to get here? And how much damage
- 17:52Speaker 4: could be done if it does.
- 17:53Speaker 2: These are all fine questions. Of course.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Former Florida and former Attorney General Pam Bondi has wrapped
- 18:00Speaker 4: up testimony related to the Justice Department's release of the
- 18:03Speaker 4: Epstein files. Arizona Democratic Representative Yazamine A'msari says Bondi was
- 18:08Speaker 4: supposed to speak under oath.
- 18:11Speaker 6: Instead, she is deflecting, she is refusing to answer questions,
- 18:14Speaker 6: and she continues to refuse to answer specific questions about
- 18:19Speaker 6: the President of the United States.
- 18:22Speaker 4: The closed door meeting with the House Oversight Committee was
- 18:24Speaker 4: focused on her handling of the investigation into Epstein and
- 18:28Speaker 4: his accomplice Agie Laine Maxwell. In her opening statement, Bondi
- 18:32Speaker 4: acknowledged there were quote redaction errors end quote and the
- 18:35Speaker 4: release of the files. She also told lawmakers that oversight
- 18:39Speaker 4: of the release process had been delegated to then Deputy
- 18:43Speaker 4: Attorney General Todd Blanche. Conveniently, a DOJ official said they
- 18:48Speaker 4: were not prepared to address a potential deposition of Blanche
- 18:52Speaker 4: at this time.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not. And she did not go under oath,
- 18:55Speaker 2: which is a major part of this. They wanted her
- 18:57Speaker 2: under oath because that way they would have the ability
- 18:59Speaker 2: to prove if you pardure yourself. And there was no
- 19:02Speaker 2: recording of it as well, just notes. I believe that's great,
- 19:08Speaker 2: all right, transparency, this is what they're all about.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Tropical downpours are targeting Florida and the southeast, which much
- 19:14Speaker 4: needed drought relief. Over the next few days. The active
- 19:17Speaker 4: weather pattern is expected to trigger heavy rainfall and thunderstorms,
- 19:21Speaker 4: and it comes as many municipalities remain five to fourteen
- 19:25Speaker 4: inches below their average rainfall since last August. And to
- 19:29Speaker 4: that end, flooding is a big concern in Felusha County
- 19:32Speaker 4: and man, do they just keep adding salt to the wound.
- 19:35Speaker 2: For those folks.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Local officials are warning residents to prepare for heavy rainfall
- 19:39Speaker 4: over the next week.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Now.
- 19:41Speaker 4: A meeting was held yesterday in Daytona Beach with leaders
- 19:43Speaker 4: from several different cities, and it came just two weeks
- 19:46Speaker 4: after the US Army Corps of Engineers announced to Daytona,
- 19:49Speaker 4: Hey are bad, but yeah, we can't find an affordable
- 19:54Speaker 4: solution to your flooding problem. So here's that. Can we
- 19:58Speaker 4: keep kicking down the road?
- 20:00Speaker 2: Wow? Use yeah, exactly affordable word there? Affordable.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Can you imagine everything they've suffered over the last several year,
- 20:09Speaker 4: sea walls and everything disappearing, Flooded streets, flooded neighborhoods, even
- 20:13Speaker 4: just during heavy thunderstorms. Wasn't Edgewater or something right along
- 20:18Speaker 4: with Eustace and Mount Dora back in October? Weren't they
- 20:20Speaker 4: severely flooded as well?
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Man, I think so. I mean, I know those
- 20:23Speaker 2: a lot of those places over there took a beating,
- 20:25Speaker 2: a huge beating.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Now, in the meantime, crews are busy cleaning drains and
- 20:28Speaker 4: ditches ahead of the rain. The county is expecting up
- 20:31Speaker 4: to seven inches of rainfall in the coming days. Nikes,
- 20:35Speaker 4: and despite that, rain recently, drought conditions do continue across
- 20:39Speaker 4: at least east central Florida, so the National Weather Service
- 20:42Speaker 4: released its latest drought Information statement yesterday. Like we talked
- 20:46Speaker 4: about before, drought is measured on a scale of zero
- 20:48Speaker 4: to four, with four being the worst. Fortunately, parts of
- 20:53Speaker 4: Lake and Felusha Counties remain at a three, which is
- 20:56Speaker 4: called an extreme drought. Northern Orange County is at a two,
- 21:00Speaker 4: or a severe drought, and Southern Orange County is a one,
- 21:03Speaker 4: or moderate drought. But the good news is relief is
- 21:05Speaker 4: in sight with all this rain, right, yes, and the
- 21:07Speaker 4: wet season finally starting. The National Weather Services drought conditions
- 21:11Speaker 4: are forecast to improve and potentially end across some areas
- 21:16Speaker 4: by the end of July or August.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Nice, all right.
- 21:23Speaker 4: A couple of food notes publics continues to expand across Florida.
- 21:28Speaker 2: They got the money for it, Yeah, the supermarket chains,
- 21:30Speaker 2: because you keep chopping there. I think I'm responsible for
- 21:33Speaker 2: at least one of these expansions, some of those. Yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 4: The supermarket chain is opening up locations in Palm Beach
- 21:39Speaker 4: Gardens and winter Haven in June. The news stores feature
- 21:44Speaker 4: modern designs with wider ales, self checkout lanes, and expanded
- 21:48Speaker 4: deli selections. How many Public's locations in the Sunshine State
- 21:52Speaker 4: are there?
- 21:54Speaker 2: Five and fifty? Ooh, I was gonna go seven.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Hundred points, Jack, there are nine hundred.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Damn that's That's a lot of grocery, isn't it.
- 22:03Speaker 4: That's a that's a lot of money.
- 22:05Speaker 2: That's a lot of forty dollars. Steak saw last night,
- 22:08Speaker 2: two New York strips forty bucks. I'd go vegan. I
- 22:12Speaker 2: gotta tell you something else, to be honest with you,
- 22:14Speaker 2: So I started cooking try tips a while back, right,
- 22:16Speaker 2: And the reason why is it was a really good
- 22:19Speaker 2: marbled piece of meat, but you have to cook it
- 22:21Speaker 2: the right way and cut it the right way. But
- 22:23Speaker 2: it's delicious if you do it right. It's like a
- 22:25Speaker 2: roast man. That used to be a cheat code. If
- 22:28Speaker 2: you were a barbecue chef. You would get a try
- 22:30Speaker 2: tip and you roast that thing off and you cook
- 22:32Speaker 2: it like a big steak. You just roasted slow, you
- 22:34Speaker 2: cut it across the grain. It gets this beautiful almost
- 22:37Speaker 2: like almost deli meat, roast beef kind of look about it,
- 22:41Speaker 2: A nice big fat cap tons of flavor. Those things.
- 22:44Speaker 2: It was a cheat code because you used to be
- 22:46Speaker 2: able to get a medium sized one for like eighteen
- 22:48Speaker 2: twenty five dollars, and you know, like you can feed
- 22:50Speaker 2: a family of like eight with that thing. I saw
- 22:52Speaker 2: one last night that looked like it hadn't eaten in
- 22:54Speaker 2: a month, and it was thirty two dollars thirty two bucks.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 23:01Speaker 4: Well, even stew beef stew beef, which I mean used
- 23:04Speaker 4: to be able to get between five and seven dollars
- 23:06Speaker 4: and make a nice stew. Yeah, even that now is
- 23:09Speaker 4: like you want what yeh? Stewb bee still the best
- 23:12Speaker 4: deal on beef. And I'll give this cheat code up.
- 23:14Speaker 4: If you go to publics when they trim the flays,
- 23:17Speaker 4: they always have little pieces of they call them fla
- 23:19Speaker 4: or tenderloin tips is what they call them. They put
- 23:22Speaker 4: them in a little package and you can usually get
- 23:24Speaker 4: a pound of them for between eleven and twelve bucks.
- 23:27Speaker 4: And that is a steel because you can make beef
- 23:29Speaker 4: bergignon or or just beef and egg noodles with that one,
- 23:35Speaker 4: and it's delicious and cheap, and you get the premium
- 23:37Speaker 4: cut of beef. When I start craving beef, I don't
- 23:39Speaker 4: even get steaks anymore. I just get those because it's
- 23:41Speaker 4: the cheapest way to get premium beef. I like that,
- 23:44Speaker 4: the beef and egg noodles time.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I crazy my attitude towards mushrooms because now with that Vome,
- 23:52Speaker 2: I learned it to super food for me. I eat mushrooms.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Get the bellows man, get the bellow mushrooms. Get a
- 23:59Speaker 2: little pack of that's of a beef gravy, make with
- 24:01Speaker 2: water and throw it all together and you have like
- 24:03Speaker 2: a gourmet meal. It's delicious. And you know what, I
- 24:05Speaker 2: realized they taste like nothing. I don't know. I might
- 24:09Speaker 2: not have taste brides. You know you do. I don't know. Yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 2: maybe not severely under Have you ever start using salt
- 24:15Speaker 2: until five years ago?
- 24:16Speaker 4: Have you ever like severely burned your mouth though before?
- 24:19Speaker 10: Oh?
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I would.
- 24:21Speaker 4: I would think that that could affect your taste.
- 24:23Speaker 2: It's your sinuses. Oh, he always deals with your sinuses.
- 24:29Speaker 2: When your nose and you're breathing, the best is when
- 24:31Speaker 2: you taste the most. That's the truth. Jack always has
- 24:34Speaker 2: sinus issues, whether it has allergies. Aren't you allergic to
- 24:37Speaker 2: your own cats? That's what's doing it. That's your problem,
- 24:40Speaker 2: DoD I'm telling you it's your sinuses has not new
- 24:42Speaker 2: what your taste, but I'm allergic to me. Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Do you know one of the first things you lose
- 24:46Speaker 4: when you lose your sense of smell.
- 24:48Speaker 2: What your sex drive?
- 24:50Speaker 10: No?
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yeah, really drive those pheromones exactly. So much of our
- 24:56Speaker 4: sexuality is based on, you know, processing those pheromones.
- 24:59Speaker 2: That when you can't smell him, you're just like, mom, whatever,
- 25:01Speaker 2: I like the way you smell baby afron stat.
- 25:06Speaker 4: All right, speaking of beef, y'all. Fat Burger oh Man
- 25:09Speaker 4: is opening a new location and Rocklicche.
- 25:12Speaker 2: That's my pet name for my wife.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Now a grand opening tells me she calls me fat
- 25:16Speaker 4: burg Okay, good, way to save that, because way.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Wife, fat Burger, get the hell out of here. He
- 25:20Speaker 2: can have some sex. Fat Burger. My god, dude, I'm
- 25:24Speaker 2: the fat Burger.
- 25:25Speaker 4: A grand opening celebration will be held tomorrow on Saturday,
- 25:28Speaker 4: May thirtieth. The restaurant is hiring over fifty employees. While
- 25:32Speaker 4: it's the fourth location in Florida, it is the first inline,
- 25:36Speaker 4: non drive through one. Wow, it's a pretty cool. Other
- 25:40Speaker 4: food notes, the Museum of ice Cream is opening in Orlando.
- 25:45Speaker 4: The eighteen thousand square foot attraction will be located at
- 25:49Speaker 4: Point Orlando.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Don't look at me like that. I don't plan it
- 25:52Speaker 2: ape talking, cause at some point they'd better give you
- 25:56Speaker 2: ice tream eighteen thousand square feet. Do you know how
- 25:59Speaker 2: big that is? They can talk to you about ice
- 26:01Speaker 2: cream without giving you ice. Do you hear eggro he is?
- 26:03Speaker 2: I only mentioned eighteen thousand square feet? Dude, that's a BUCkies.
- 26:09Speaker 2: That's what I can taste ice cream? Ice cream? Well, yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 2: as you said.
- 26:13Speaker 4: The eighteen thousand square foot attraction will be located at
- 26:17Speaker 4: Point Orlando, of course, on International Drive. Organizers say this
- 26:21Speaker 4: flagship location will be the most ambitious to date.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I guess so eighteen thousand scorpedo night Drive.
- 26:28Speaker 4: It will feature new food, beverages, and retail experiences. Construction
- 26:33Speaker 4: has started, although it's not clear when the interactive museum
- 26:37Speaker 4: will open. I'm putting it out there now. We need
- 26:40Speaker 4: to do a live broadcast.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I'm down for that, man. I haven't had good ice
- 26:43Speaker 2: cream in a while, the same year.
- 26:45Speaker 4: It's spent years since I've had ice cream?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Oh really? Years? Oh man? I mean going to a
- 26:50Speaker 2: room in that one down a mountain, do worre? I
- 26:52Speaker 2: gotta tell you know, it's supposed to be good. I
- 26:53Speaker 2: don't like that one. It's not that good. Which one
- 26:55Speaker 2: is that? It's just one down on one of those
- 26:57Speaker 2: streets and I went in there the other night. It's
- 27:00Speaker 2: probably as specific as you want him to be. Point Jack,
- 27:04Speaker 2: it's not that good. It's supposed to be premium ice cream.
- 27:06Speaker 2: And I didn't. I didn't. It didn't hit me. Man,
- 27:08Speaker 2: It's so difficult. I hate when you you laid in
- 27:12Speaker 2: and we're having ice for you and you're like, oh,
- 27:14Speaker 2: that was okay.
- 27:15Speaker 4: You know what I felt? You know, it felt gummy
- 27:18Speaker 4: cold Stone creamery.
- 27:19Speaker 11: To me.
- 27:19Speaker 2: That was that really.
- 27:21Speaker 4: I didn't like the mixing and the Yeah, all right,
- 27:28Speaker 4: what's your favorite?
- 27:29Speaker 2: What's your favorite flavor? Have we ever talked.
- 27:30Speaker 4: About New York Super Chunk Fudge, Ben and Jerry's because
- 27:33Speaker 4: it's got a little bit of everything covered almonds and
- 27:37Speaker 4: pretzels and white chocolate and dark chocolate.
- 27:39Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Florida, this is going to shock you, guys, is home
- 27:43Speaker 4: to several of the most popular theme parks. Back up
- 27:47Speaker 4: new studies shows The Sunshine State claims how many of
- 27:51Speaker 4: the top ten spots.
- 27:55Speaker 2: We don't have seven gonna be Disney Universal Sea World
- 27:58Speaker 2: it has I would say, like, maybe Lego Land is
- 28:00Speaker 2: in there. Give me a number. I'll go someone seven.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I don't think it's that high because I think I
- 28:07Speaker 2: would say it's I'll go five.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Well, you guys are gonna split it because it's actually six.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Is it really? Six?
- 28:12Speaker 4: Of the top ten spots, Disneyland in California ranked first overall.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Really, what you could put that thing inside our park?
- 28:20Speaker 4: I know, I can't figure out why that's what I'm
- 28:26Speaker 4: assuming there, she says, it's nothing like our no following
- 28:30Speaker 4: in there.
- 28:30Speaker 2: They have a nice mariachi band. That doesn't get you
- 28:34Speaker 2: number one dude.
- 28:36Speaker 4: So yeah, Disneyland in California ranked first overall, followed by
- 28:40Speaker 4: the Magic Kingdom here in Central Florida. That makes no sense,
- 28:43Speaker 4: As you said, Disneyland could fit inside of the Magic Kingdom.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Me ask, do they break up the Obviously they do?
- 28:49Speaker 2: They break up the park separately, seeing them separate from
- 28:52Speaker 2: Animal Kingdom or oh yeah.
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah exactly because other top ranking parks included Universal Studios, Hollywood, Epcot,
- 28:59Speaker 4: and Dizzy Snee's Animal Kingdom. The Steady analyzed factors like
- 29:03Speaker 4: Instagram hashtags, search volume, and trip Advisor reviews.
- 29:07Speaker 2: No epic. I think it's.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Probably too new. It's only a year old.
- 29:14Speaker 2: If they're doing that, I don't know. I don't know
- 29:17Speaker 2: how they do these things. I don't either. I don't
- 29:19Speaker 2: believe it. They do toss off. That's what they do,
- 29:22Speaker 2: is rolling stone. Yeah, exactly, exactly all right?
- 29:27Speaker 4: And then finally, this is a follow up to a
- 29:30Speaker 4: story that jim actually brought to us yesterday.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Didn't it'll do.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Exactly. This is a follow up to the story that
- 29:41Speaker 4: Jimmy actually brought us yesterday. Did not realize that it's
- 29:44Speaker 4: actually a Florida story because aren't they all? Yes, But
- 29:48Speaker 4: for those who didn't have a chance to hear it.
- 29:49Speaker 4: A South Florida traffic stop has gone viral after an
- 29:53Speaker 4: officer accused a driver of holding a cell phone in
- 29:55Speaker 4: a hand she doesn't have. Palm Beach County shares Yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 4: oh no, I seriously, what are the odds?
- 30:04Speaker 2: Thing is how many walked up there? When she put that?
- 30:06Speaker 2: W went come on up?
- 30:08Speaker 4: All Beach County Shaf's deputy pulled over thirty six year
- 30:11Speaker 4: old Kathleen Thomas in lake Worth Beach, saying he saw
- 30:14Speaker 4: her using a phone in her right hand. Now body
- 30:17Speaker 4: camera video shows Thomas lifting her right arm to reveal
- 30:20Speaker 4: she has no right hand, but she was still issued
- 30:23Speaker 4: a one hundred and sixteen dollars citation for distracted driving.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Here's here's some audio for you.

- 30:35Speaker 13: and you laid in that phone.
- 30:37Speaker 2: I mean I saw.
- 30:40Speaker 14: Now.
- 30:41Speaker 4: The court date was set for this week, but I
- 30:44Speaker 4: cannot make up the reason behind why I was dismissed.
- 30:48Speaker 8: It says lack of evidence.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Yeah, turns out it was the deputy who issued the
- 30:54Speaker 4: citation is the one who requested it to be dismissed.
- 30:57Speaker 4: And I'm sure it's because every time he shows up
- 31:00Speaker 4: to work, somebody says, let's give this man a hand.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yeah, this is gonna be Mel Gibson and lethal weapon
- 31:07Speaker 2: one his girlfriend when his daughter does the condom commercial.
- 31:11Speaker 2: And the next day Duch was a he's a Christmas
- 31:13Speaker 2: tree of rubbers on his desk.
- 31:15Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I do not understand for the life of me,
- 31:18Speaker 2: why when she showed that she has no hand, he
- 31:21Speaker 2: didn't just say, have a nice seriously.
- 31:24Speaker 4: It never would have never would have come to this
- 31:26Speaker 4: viral moment.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It would have gone well for him had he just
- 31:30Speaker 2: laughed at himself, Deptha Nub and said, you know what,
- 31:33Speaker 2: death Nub deathhow title and get on the hell out
- 31:37Speaker 2: of there. You got a girl. Sorry, that's my bad.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Here's a don't some cops give you like movie passes,
- 31:42Speaker 2: like we're doing cool stuff.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Oh yeah, they'll keep seven eleven coupons for free Slurpees
- 31:46Speaker 4: in their glove box. They'll have movie passes and stuff
- 31:49Speaker 4: like that. Here's on me exactly.
- 31:51Speaker 2: But instead he became the viral subject.
- 31:54Speaker 4: And you know, he's just getting his ass handed to
- 31:56Speaker 4: him all the time at work.
- 31:58Speaker 2: And I've heard that cops are the absolute worst ball
- 32:01Speaker 2: breakers of all time in the precinct. I heard it's
- 32:04Speaker 2: like vicious af like firemen and cops are supposed to
- 32:07Speaker 2: be the worst to each other. I mean, look at
- 32:09Speaker 2: the cool Broway, yeah, exactly, Let's give him a hand.
- 32:12Speaker 2: He's just totally busting his balls for the rest of
- 32:14Speaker 2: his life.
- 32:15Speaker 4: And that concludes your JCS news.
- 32:20Speaker 2: All right for the seven one texts seven seven zero

- 33:21Speaker 2: and loud for mister fayaz Kara. Yeah, hello people, Hello friend,
- 33:29Speaker 2: how are you good?
- 33:31Speaker 12: How are you?
- 33:32Speaker 2: I'm doing great? Why why the weird retort? Why do
- 33:36Speaker 2: you good? Yeah, I know. I mean, you have a
- 33:38Speaker 2: bit of an attitude. What's going on? That's just you.
- 33:46Speaker 2: How is your week been, buddy? We had a very
- 33:48Speaker 2: fun time last Saturday. Would you agree we had a
- 33:50Speaker 2: good time?
- 33:51Speaker 12: Yes, it was very good. You're very good, very good?
- 33:55Speaker 11: No?
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 33:57Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah? Well you actually I even admitted you beat me
- 33:59Speaker 2: on the couple holes, the holes I hit it out
- 34:01Speaker 2: of play with my driver. You you edged me. But uh,
- 34:05Speaker 2: you're actually pretty earn good too, buddy. I was expecting
- 34:07Speaker 2: the absolute worst and you you were surprising. Take that, Fias,
- 34:12Speaker 2: he didn't suck it as bad as I thought you would. Wow.
- 34:15Speaker 2: That's that's essentially what he's saying. Well, I'm not trying
- 34:18Speaker 2: to be a dick about it. I'm just saying, you
- 34:20Speaker 2: don't play a lot. Golf is a date a game.
- 34:22Speaker 2: You have to play a lot to be good at it.
- 34:24Speaker 2: You played when you were a kid. I mean it's
- 34:26Speaker 2: you know, it's hard to stay good at golf if
- 34:27Speaker 2: you don't play a lot. And I was expecting the
- 34:29Speaker 2: worst and you impressed the hell out of me.
- 34:31Speaker 12: That is true.
- 34:32Speaker 2: That that is true. I did.
- 34:33Speaker 12: I did impress the hell out of you.
- 34:37Speaker 4: That happens a lot.
- 34:38Speaker 2: All right, Defias Joins is on Fridays for Primetime Kitchen.
- 34:40Speaker 2: That's where he kind of reviews a restaurant, tells us
- 34:42Speaker 2: some things happening in the culinary world in central floor.
- 34:45Speaker 2: There's some weird dues out there, real quick before we
- 34:46Speaker 2: get to the uh, the Michelin stuff. Right, it's kind
- 34:49Speaker 2: of a weird thing. Like we had two restaurants lose
- 34:52Speaker 2: their stars and then no new stars. I mean, what
- 34:55Speaker 2: what do you what do you apply to that?
- 34:57Speaker 12: Oh, Jim, you know this is like my yearly I
- 35:00Speaker 12: guess gripe against Michelin. You know, I'm no fan.
- 35:03Speaker 2: I'm no fan of Micheline. You know.
- 35:04Speaker 12: I don't like the shadowy manner in which they operate.
- 35:07Speaker 12: I don't like their pay to play model I uh,
- 35:11Speaker 12: you know. I I especially despise the fact that they
- 35:14Speaker 12: have so little grasp of our restaurants. Must we don't
- 35:18Speaker 12: know anything about these inspectors aren't even in the Epstein violence.
- 35:21Speaker 2: I don't know. I love it, right.
- 35:27Speaker 12: Kappa Steakhouse at four Seasons Lost lost its star like whatever,
- 35:32Speaker 12: and uh and so did Papa Yama in on Curry
- 35:35Speaker 12: Ford and then Nat Sue again. They gave decided to
- 35:39Speaker 12: give not su A Makase a star, you know, a
- 35:42Speaker 12: couple of years ago after being opened only for six weeks,
- 35:45Speaker 12: and they shuddered. They shuddered back in December, I think.
- 35:48Speaker 2: And so it just show.
- 35:50Speaker 12: And then if you look at the lists of restaurants,
- 35:52Speaker 12: some of the restaurants that are listed and they're recommended,
- 35:56Speaker 12: I get Look, Jim, I guarantee you that these so
- 35:58Speaker 12: called inspectors are not have not visited every single restaurant
- 36:02Speaker 12: that's in night.
- 36:02Speaker 2: That would be one that would be scandalous if that
- 36:05Speaker 2: was the case. I mean, if you gave somebody a
- 36:06Speaker 2: star and you never ate at the restaurant, you just
- 36:08Speaker 2: went on someone else's review or whatever, that would be scandalous.
- 36:11Speaker 12: I'm not maybe maybe not the stars, but at least
- 36:15Speaker 12: the restaurants that they put in their quote unquote recommended section.
- 36:18Speaker 12: I'm honestly, I don't even know what to visit all
- 36:20Speaker 12: the big gourmand restaurants. I really don't know. I'm willing
- 36:22Speaker 12: to get all the money that I got that they
- 36:24Speaker 12: do not visit every single restaurant that they list in.
- 36:27Speaker 2: That guy unbelievable. Well, I mean, you can read that
- 36:29Speaker 2: right in the pages of they were Landed Weekly. He
- 36:30Speaker 2: has it upright there, an article by Fiscar himself.
- 36:33Speaker 12: Yeah, please do read it, and there's a very interesting
- 36:36Speaker 12: section where Cadence Cadence did receive a star for their
- 36:40Speaker 12: fifth consecutive year, and the chef owner there, Mark Burden,
- 36:43Speaker 12: he likes to display that Michelin plaque, that red square
- 36:47Speaker 12: Michelin plaque he like. And it's if you're watching on
- 36:49Speaker 12: YouTube right now, you'll see that he likes to display
- 36:52Speaker 12: that plaque in the bath.
- 36:55Speaker 2: That's how high highly regarded it is for him.
- 36:58Speaker 12: That's that's how high. So when I talked to him yesterday,
- 37:02Speaker 12: the first thing he said was like, oh, oh crap.
- 37:05Speaker 12: He didn't say crap, but he said, oh crap, another
- 37:09Speaker 12: another plaque from my bathroom.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. Other people are losing their mind
- 37:14Speaker 2: because they'd like to have one to hang on their
- 37:15Speaker 2: front door. I'm sure he's putting them in the bathroom.
- 37:17Speaker 2: That's pretty funny. Let's get to the ROAs make Let's
- 37:20Speaker 2: get to the let's get to the review. Is it
- 37:22Speaker 2: Sabai Thai Food.
- 37:24Speaker 12: Sabai Sabai Thai street Food. And we talked about this
- 37:26Speaker 12: place a little bit a few weeks back, it said
- 37:28Speaker 12: three thirty three South Orange Avenue and Sodo. It's run
- 37:31Speaker 12: by a lovely family. Her the chef's name is Vera
- 37:36Speaker 12: deep Pasara, her husband Bill Spradlin, and their son Alex
- 37:40Speaker 12: and Alex in fact cook Thatt lim Ross and isanz up.
- 37:44Speaker 12: But it's it's a lovely place, Sabai means I think
- 37:47Speaker 12: it means relax in tie. And it's a very chill place.
- 37:50Speaker 12: It's a scratch kitchen, so you're not going to find, like,
- 37:54Speaker 12: you know, a zillion items on the menu. It's a tight, compact,
- 37:57Speaker 12: compact list. And like I said, everything's made from scratch.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Uh.
- 38:01Speaker 12: If you if you happen to be watching on YouTube
- 38:03Speaker 12: right now, Jack has some photos up for my Instagram.
- 38:06Speaker 12: You feel follows Kara. What you're showing right now is
- 38:10Speaker 12: a papaya salad and and and the header that I
- 38:12Speaker 12: used in this week's review was acid trip because it's
- 38:15Speaker 12: kind of like what that is. It's like an acid
- 38:16Speaker 12: trip from Puquats, which is where Verady had a restaurants
- 38:20Speaker 12: where here and her husband actually met all the way up.
- 38:23Speaker 12: The isan and the papaya salad is like a quintessential,
- 38:26Speaker 12: like bracing, invigorating salad. It's it's you know, one of
- 38:30Speaker 12: my favorite things to start off. I feel like I
- 38:32Speaker 12: can't start off any time meal without a papias.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Really, yeah, you gotta.
- 38:36Speaker 12: Have the It's crunchy, it's invigorating, it's sweet, it's it's
- 38:39Speaker 12: it's it's sour, it's uh, it's got that acid bite.
- 38:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 38:43Speaker 12: It's a really nice start to any meal.
- 38:45Speaker 2: What do they get there? What is what is the
- 38:47Speaker 2: acid in that? What do they use it is it?
- 38:49Speaker 2: Is it a like a lemon lime or is it
- 38:51Speaker 2: something else? Yeah, they use a lot of lime. It's
- 38:53Speaker 2: like a line, use the macrude line. Sometimes they will
- 38:56Speaker 2: use vinegar, but a lot of times it's where they
- 38:58Speaker 2: it's that lime that know that you know, that brings
- 39:01Speaker 2: out the the the acidity and a lot of their food. Hey,
- 39:05Speaker 2: I mean they also have curries as well, so not
- 39:07Speaker 2: everything here is acidic. So I had a Panang curry
- 39:10Speaker 2: and the Panang curry, like I said, everything here is
- 39:12Speaker 2: made from scratch. Even their curry paste they make from scratch.
- 39:15Speaker 2: So when they make a Panang curry, you have to
- 39:17Speaker 2: like walk fire that curry paste with coconut milk until
- 39:21Speaker 2: the coconut milk splits, and when it splits, it releases
- 39:25Speaker 2: all those aromatics that are in the are that are
- 39:27Speaker 2: in the paste, and it just tastes so fresh. You know,
- 39:30Speaker 2: it just tastes incredibly fresh. You know that nothing here
- 39:33Speaker 2: is coming from like a prepackaged bottle or you know,
- 39:37Speaker 2: or box or something like that. Yeah, let me inter,
- 39:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask you a quick question, man. I mean,
- 39:41Speaker 2: when you review a lot of these restaurants, these Asian restaurants,
- 39:44Speaker 2: people get freaked out that they're going to be hot.
- 39:47Speaker 2: You know, it's a preconceived notion that Cajun food deals with,
- 39:50Speaker 2: like all Cajun food and spicy. Of course, we know
- 39:52Speaker 2: that's not the case at all. Is that the same
- 39:54Speaker 2: thing with Thai food? Does it have a bad reputation
- 39:56Speaker 2: for being all spicy or is that just a myth?
- 40:00Speaker 12: No? I mean it, I mean there is a there's
- 40:02Speaker 12: an element of spice to it. You know, it's like
- 40:04Speaker 12: the four s's of Thai food. It's sweet, salty, sour,
- 40:07Speaker 12: and spicy. But as many many listeners are probably aware,
- 40:11Speaker 12: you know, you can temper that, you can get mild,
- 40:13Speaker 12: you can get meat, and you can get hot.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Or you can get quote.
- 40:16Speaker 12: Unquote tie hot, you know, which is like the balls
- 40:18Speaker 12: out sort of hot. But but here they're they're able
- 40:21Speaker 12: to accommodate all levels of spice. What you're looking at here,
- 40:24Speaker 12: for example, the sausageson sausage sausages this is more garlic heavy.
- 40:30Speaker 12: There's glass meals in there, there's cilantro, there's rice and sausages.
- 40:33Speaker 12: They make the house and they're amazing. Yes, they may
- 40:36Speaker 12: may embellish it. If you see the photo right there
- 40:38Speaker 12: right if you're watching on YouTube, there's like a pepper
- 40:41Speaker 12: that's graced on top of that's really just an embellishment
- 40:44Speaker 12: that's not inside the you know. So something like theon
- 40:47Speaker 12: sausage is a lot doesn't really have much of that
- 40:51Speaker 12: heat at all.
- 40:52Speaker 2: What's that? What's in the sausage? Because I tell you
- 40:54Speaker 2: it looks like I could poke that into the screen
- 40:55Speaker 2: and it would pop and just squirt juice everywhere. What's
- 40:57Speaker 2: in that?
- 40:58Speaker 12: Like I said, so it's like a pork, It has
- 41:00Speaker 12: glass noodles, there's rice. This one I when I've been
- 41:04Speaker 12: into it first, I was like, wow, this is this
- 41:06Speaker 12: was like a garlic punch to the face. It was very,
- 41:08Speaker 12: very garlic love that. Uh, there's cilantro in there as well.
- 41:12Speaker 12: It's just like a really nicely made, homemade kind of sausage.
- 41:16Speaker 12: And again it plays into the fact that everything here
- 41:19Speaker 12: is scratch made in the kitchen. But if there's one
- 41:21Speaker 12: reason to go to this restaurant, to stop listening, turn
- 41:24Speaker 12: off the radio and just head there right now, it's
- 41:27Speaker 12: a dish called the tom Yum Noodle Soup. And what
- 41:32Speaker 12: you're looking at there is a tom Yum soup, but
- 41:34Speaker 12: the next but the next one. If you're on Instagram,
- 41:36Speaker 12: it put a video up there of it, the tom
- 41:39Speaker 12: Yum Noodle Soup. Again, this thing is so incredible. It's
- 41:43Speaker 12: a forty eight hour broth. It's it's a very specific
- 41:47Speaker 12: ratio of pork bone to beef bone to chicken bone.
- 41:51Speaker 12: There is ropes pork in there, there's ground pork in there.
- 41:53Speaker 12: You can have your choice of like of rice noodles
- 41:56Speaker 12: or egg noodles. But man, alive, the this broth. You know,
- 42:00Speaker 12: we talked about the four s's of ty cooking. This
- 42:02Speaker 12: thing had everything sweet, sour, salty, spicy. It was absolutely incredible.
- 42:08Speaker 12: Looks amazing, dude, that looks amazing. Definitely one of the
- 42:12Speaker 12: best things I've had so far this year.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Really, God dude, that.
- 42:17Speaker 12: If people just just just go there and order this soup,
- 42:20Speaker 12: not the Tom Young soup, but the Tom Yum noodle soup. Okay,
- 42:24Speaker 12: so so good, and it really it's you know, she
- 42:27Speaker 12: this was like one of her specialties in when she
- 42:30Speaker 12: had a restaurant in Pouquettes. And I'm telling you this
- 42:33Speaker 12: is this is the draw, this is why people are
- 42:35Speaker 12: going to survive right now. It's because of this suit
- 42:37Speaker 12: because nobody else is making this kind of soup in
- 42:39Speaker 12: town really nice.
- 42:41Speaker 2: All right, let's let's move on to Alma Argentina Almerchine.
- 42:45Speaker 12: So this is like fresh breaking news. So the College
- 42:49Speaker 12: Park Diner which closed that on Edgewater Edgewater Drive last June,
- 42:54Speaker 12: and I think I think that buildings have been around
- 42:56Speaker 12: since nineteen fifty one. It was the College Park Cafe.
- 42:59Speaker 12: Then I think around the endemic, a new ownership came
- 43:02Speaker 12: and then last year they closed. There was some sort
- 43:04Speaker 12: of pest issue, and I've linked to the story that
- 43:06Speaker 12: we wrote about back then. You know, I don't way
- 43:08Speaker 12: to talk about it right now, but anyway, a new
- 43:11Speaker 12: restaurant called Arma Alma Argentina will be moving in. They
- 43:14Speaker 12: already have a location in Ovido. They've opened up five
- 43:17Speaker 12: years ago in Ovido and it's really popular, you know.
- 43:20Speaker 12: They they're bringing people in because of their empanatus. They
- 43:22Speaker 12: have like scores of different types of empanadus. They have
- 43:24Speaker 12: a Millenaisa and millanaisa and we talked about yummy Cotsu
- 43:28Speaker 12: a few weeks ago. See the cutlets and a Millenaisa.
- 43:31Speaker 12: It's just that it's like a deep fried cutlet and
- 43:34Speaker 12: of course steak. You can't have it. You can't be
- 43:35Speaker 12: an Argentina restaurant without steak. And so they'll be opening here.
- 43:39Speaker 12: They're looking at I believe they said in the month
- 43:44Speaker 12: or two is what they said that they want to
- 43:46Speaker 12: open in in College Park. So, you know, the the
- 43:49Speaker 12: bigger news here is that it's not an Italian restaurant.
- 43:53Speaker 2: College Park completely overrun with Italian restaurants. You're right, it's run.
- 43:59Speaker 12: Yeah, So we're gonna see an Argentinian rest that's nice.
- 44:02Speaker 2: I gotta say.
- 44:02Speaker 12: It already has a pedigree, Like I said, they have
- 44:04Speaker 12: the original Novito and they have a second location in Celebration,
- 44:07Speaker 12: so they're already familiar with you know, you know Finicky
- 44:10Speaker 12: finicky palettes. Yeah, and fickle taste. So yeah, look for
- 44:14Speaker 12: them in College Park.
- 44:15Speaker 2: And I gotta tell you, man, it's South American and
- 44:16Speaker 2: Central American beef. That's my favorite way to get. Pecanya
- 44:19Speaker 2: is my favorite cut of beef. Chimney is my favorite
- 44:22Speaker 2: condiment for it. It is the only way to eat beef,
- 44:24Speaker 2: so it doesn't get smothered with all these flavors. It's
- 44:27Speaker 2: just natural. Everything's delicious, the fat from the beef, it's
- 44:30Speaker 2: not even a super expensive cup at the Pecanya when
- 44:33Speaker 2: they cook it right, is the absolute king for me.
- 44:36Speaker 2: I love it.
- 44:37Speaker 12: And you can guarantee they'll have Pekanya and Jimmy Chury
- 44:39Speaker 12: here at the rest.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Of Yeah for sure. Right Brutal Restaurant and Brewery.
- 44:43Speaker 12: Yeah, so Brooder b R U d E R Browder
- 44:46Speaker 12: Restaurant and Brewery there. They've taken over the space that
- 44:49Speaker 12: formerly housed the Ovito Brewming Company of the Vito mall.
- 44:52Speaker 12: Oh wow really yeah, yeah, so a brewder. They're like
- 44:56Speaker 12: an independent Columbian brewery and this is their first foray
- 44:59Speaker 12: into the United States. They specialize in like German style beers,
- 45:04Speaker 12: but with like a little tropical twist, like a you know,
- 45:06Speaker 12: they'll infuse a little bit of mango or passion fruit
- 45:09Speaker 12: or pineapple into their beers. And they're also going to
- 45:12Speaker 12: have like a Latin leaning menu. Again, they'll have steaks,
- 45:15Speaker 12: and they'll have chimbutori there and but nadas. But they'll
- 45:18Speaker 12: also have like you know, burgers and wings and your
- 45:20Speaker 12: traditional sort of bar affair. But it's it's like a
- 45:22Speaker 12: nicer looking if you if you go on Instagram, if
- 45:24Speaker 12: you go onto their socials and look at the amount
- 45:27Speaker 12: of work that they've done to the interior. Doesn't really
- 45:29Speaker 12: look like the Ovido Brewing Company did, because I remember
- 45:33Speaker 12: going to Avido when when they first open.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Yeah, we used to go there all the time and
- 45:35Speaker 2: we lived in Geneva Fayaz, and I will tell you
- 45:38Speaker 2: it was kind of a clunky space. The way it
- 45:40Speaker 2: was laid out. You really didn't feel like you were
- 45:42Speaker 2: in a in a general brewery space. It felt like
- 45:44Speaker 2: a weird like old wing house or something. But they
- 45:47Speaker 2: also used to have a pretty badass pizza oven. Are
- 45:50Speaker 2: they employing that as well?
- 45:51Speaker 12: Yes, I think they do have pizza on their menus,
- 45:54Speaker 12: so let's hope they kept kept the oven. I'm not
- 45:57Speaker 12: sure if they did, but if they kept the oven,
- 45:58Speaker 12: then then why not use it for pizza?
- 46:00Speaker 2: And then lastly here let's get to a chef Mike
- 46:02Speaker 2: opening up a steakhouse.
- 46:04Speaker 12: Yeah, so Chef Mike Kalantas. He just earned a Michelin
- 46:07Speaker 12: Starr yesterday for sosaki fifth time running. He also runs
- 46:11Speaker 12: Perlis Pizza, his Florida Man pizza joint there and Winter Park.
- 46:14Speaker 12: He also has Sushi Saint. He has two of them,
- 46:17Speaker 12: and he was going to open up a third Sushi
- 46:19Speaker 12: Saint in Icon Park, and he decided very recently that
- 46:24Speaker 12: opening up a third Sushi Saint would might cannibalize, you know,
- 46:28Speaker 12: the other Sushi Saint. So he's going a little different.
- 46:30Speaker 12: He's gonna be opening up a steakhouse when he's calling
- 46:34Speaker 12: his take on an American steakhouse, but with a Japanese lens.
- 46:38Speaker 12: So he's gonna have your tomahawk chops. He's gonna have
- 46:40Speaker 12: like dry age steak. He'll also have like koji kogi
- 46:44Speaker 12: marinated steak, and kogi is like a fermented rice past
- 46:47Speaker 12: and that what kogi does when you put that on
- 46:50Speaker 12: a steak, it sort of mimics the flavors of a
- 46:53Speaker 12: dry eg steak. Really, it brings out those umami sort
- 46:56Speaker 12: of notes that the nutty note that you get in
- 46:58Speaker 12: a day dry y eighth steak. Yeah, yeah, he'll have that.
- 47:02Speaker 12: He'll also have other hot items like lobster noodles. He's
- 47:06Speaker 12: gonna have a whole brand Zeno in addition to like
- 47:09Speaker 12: sushi Saints, a roster of hand rolls and sashimi and
- 47:12Speaker 12: savi ch So he's looking to open up in eight
- 47:15Speaker 12: weeks at Icon Park and that's where Sloppy Josie used
- 47:18Speaker 12: to be.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, check that out, man, Michelin Star chef.
- 47:22Speaker 12: You know, well, I guess a chef who runs a
- 47:24Speaker 12: Mischeono Star restaurant is opening up a little a steakhouse.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yeah. A lot of good news this week. Man, that's awesome.
- 47:29Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I agree, man. We'll try to bring it.
- 47:32Speaker 2: I try to bring it, man, like that, like my driver,
- 47:34Speaker 2: I gotta get I gotta get to that Sabay place
- 47:36Speaker 2: and try that soup. That looked amazing, Buddy, that looks unbelievable. Man,
- 47:41Speaker 2: I'm telling you just go and get that scup. Go
- 47:44Speaker 2: go with a couple of people. You'll be able to
- 47:45Speaker 2: share that soup. It is incredible. The noodle soup. Yeah,
- 47:49Speaker 2: the noodle soup.
- 47:50Speaker 12: Noodle soup, yes, correct, just as those sausages to.
- 47:54Speaker 2: While you're at it. Yeah, all right, man, you guys
- 47:55Speaker 2: give it up. Good laugh for VIA's Gary Angle Day.

- 49:15Speaker 15: launch at a bottom minute and a half ten minute clayd.
- 49:17Speaker 11: It was that boom.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Was really really kind of scared. I didn't know what's
- 49:21Speaker 4: going on.
- 49:22Speaker 2: But also, Jimmy, did you hear about the nuclear explosion in.
- 49:25Speaker 8: Space this morning?
- 49:25Speaker 2: I did not, Dude, Well, I mean, most.
- 49:28Speaker 8: People just call it the son, but you know what
- 49:30Speaker 8: a pig you out?
- 49:32Speaker 2: Uh, what's up there, Culbrit crew, this whole gram cracker.
- 49:35Speaker 15: Here in Dade City delivering your Amazon packages.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Either way, man, I had to.
- 49:41Speaker 3: I had to say this because as soon as I heard.
- 49:43Speaker 16: Dapting the meeting that came to mind was one of
- 49:46Speaker 16: the pick the porn titles that Jimmy would have made up.
- 49:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I just had to say that love the show.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Have a great one, guys, see it now.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Anybody picks morn about an hour away?
- 49:54Speaker 17: Three words JCS crew usivn me.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Don't forget. Tomorrow is it's first anniversary.
- 50:01Speaker 17: We'll be celebrating at three odd guys brewing in Longwood
- 50:04Speaker 17: from five to ten.
- 50:05Speaker 2: See you there, you got a bud it for sure?
- 50:07Speaker 2: It's good food, all right? Seven seven zero three one.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Culbert Show here on Real Radio.
- 50:13Speaker 2: I'm Jim. There's Deborah hello, and Jack is here as well.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question. How's your car running?
- 50:22Speaker 2: Mine is great? When's the last time you put gas
- 50:24Speaker 2: in your car? Two days ago? And I paid three
- 50:27Speaker 2: ninety one a gal three ninety one a galon not bad?
- 50:29Speaker 2: How about your car? Is it running? Well? Yeah, when's
- 50:31Speaker 2: the last time you put gas in it two days ago?
- 50:35Speaker 2: I read today that they are putting the they're doing
- 50:39Speaker 2: that methanolos in the summer gas thing. Ethanol. Dude, My
- 50:42Speaker 2: truck is running like dog gas right now. I don't know.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Is it okay? So it's supposed to be any any
- 50:47Speaker 2: vehicle after two thousand and one.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Right, I believe. So it's the I don't know the
- 50:53Speaker 4: proper name for it. Is it short stroke motors like
- 50:57Speaker 4: weed whackers, your lawnmark chain?
- 51:00Speaker 2: Two stroke?
- 51:01Speaker 4: Those are the ones they're saying, don't use this gasoline
- 51:04Speaker 4: and those appliance. But they have mentioned that you may
- 51:07Speaker 4: notice a little bit more knocking and pinging, And.
- 51:10Speaker 2: That's exactly what's happening in my little truck right now.
- 51:12Speaker 2: It's only got seventy seven thousand miles on it. I
- 51:14Speaker 2: just got the oil changed. I take pretty good care
- 51:17Speaker 2: of it. I mean, the mechanical part. The other part
- 51:19Speaker 2: is just the absolute dog. But I noticed today as
- 51:22Speaker 2: I was taking off a couple of times, it gave
- 51:24Speaker 2: me that little pingy thing and it kind of took
- 51:26Speaker 2: a second. I'm like, what is going on? It was
- 51:28Speaker 2: running perfectly. Then I just put gas in the other
- 51:31Speaker 2: day and I read this morning that they've gone to
- 51:33Speaker 2: that fifteen percent ethanol or whatever for the summer, and
- 51:36Speaker 2: my truck does not care for it.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and it doesn't save you any money on gas
- 51:41Speaker 4: prices because he'll charge you for the same thing. Well
- 51:43Speaker 4: not only that, because it has that ethanol and it
- 51:46Speaker 4: and it ends up burning a little bit faster.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I've noticed that I'm getting a little less miles per
- 51:51Speaker 2: gallon really by tenths. But I used to be at
- 51:55Speaker 2: like forty three in point nine point eight. Now I'm
- 51:59Speaker 2: at forty three point two. Really, oh wow, like it's
- 52:02Speaker 2: wild because I haven't I don't really pay attention to
- 52:05Speaker 2: how how much it's burning, just because right now, well,
- 52:08Speaker 2: because we drive so much, I don't really ever I
- 52:10Speaker 2: know about how many trips I can make back and
- 52:12Speaker 2: forth before I have to gas up. And usually if
- 52:14Speaker 2: I gas up on like a Sunday night, I can
- 52:16Speaker 2: make it till like Thursday morning, and then on the
- 52:18Speaker 2: way home I'll have to gas up. But I noticed
- 52:20Speaker 2: this morning, man, and I just gassed up. What's the day, Friday, Wednesday?
- 52:25Speaker 2: And I noticed this morning, man, my truck was not
- 52:27Speaker 2: running the way it's supposed to run.
- 52:29Speaker 4: You know the other thing I read about, I've been
- 52:31Speaker 4: seeing a little bit on social media as well, what
- 52:33Speaker 4: they're saying to do now, because if the straight of
- 52:36Speaker 4: horror moves remains closed, get your oil changed.
- 52:39Speaker 2: I just got that done.
- 52:40Speaker 4: Get your oil changed, get the oil you need for
- 52:43Speaker 4: your lawn, more for your chainsaw, for any of those
- 52:46Speaker 4: specialty fluids they're saying are going to be the next
- 52:49Speaker 4: thing that consumers are gonna have to deal with.
- 52:51Speaker 2: I'd make the special trip to wah Wah with the
- 52:54Speaker 2: gas can to get the ethanol free gas that they
- 52:57Speaker 2: have on pump at wah Wah. Oh really really? Oh yeah,
- 53:01Speaker 2: it's more expensive. It's over five bucks a gallon, but
- 53:03Speaker 2: I'm only getting two gallons, right, and a gas can
- 53:06Speaker 2: because that'll last my lawnmower. All oh yeah, like as
- 53:09Speaker 2: much as you need. Yeah, but that way you're not
- 53:11Speaker 2: putting anthanol gas into the weed whacker or the lawnmower.
- 53:15Speaker 4: Yeah, those are the ones they say. Really doesn't like
- 53:17Speaker 4: that gas.
- 53:18Speaker 2: I've never experienced any change in the performance of my
- 53:20Speaker 2: vehicle because of summer gas or anything like that. Today
- 53:23Speaker 2: was the first time that I actually noticed that there
- 53:26Speaker 2: was something different about my truck just didn't run the same. So, I,
- 53:29Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know what to do. I guess
- 53:31Speaker 2: it just kind of do you have to put premium in?
- 53:32Speaker 2: Do they do that? They just do that in the
- 53:33Speaker 2: regular gas man premium gas is ridiculous.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I went with a five.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Point twenty a gallon or something. Now for that stuff,
- 53:40Speaker 2: i've the price change. I've noticed. I today drove by
- 53:44Speaker 2: a four fifty nine and a four to nine. Yeah,
- 53:48Speaker 2: and then with that extra savings and you did one.
- 53:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Well, someone just texted us at seven seven zero three one.
- 53:56Speaker 4: I have a twenty nineteen Hundai Elantra, and I just
- 53:59Speaker 4: noticed this week that I'm getting about four miles per
- 54:02Speaker 4: gallon less than I'm used to.
- 54:04Speaker 2: That's crazy, man. Now, I gotta tell you now, I'm
- 54:06Speaker 2: gonna start paying attention to that, because before the only
- 54:08Speaker 2: thing I was paying attention to is performance. Yeah. And
- 54:11Speaker 2: I mean obviously, if your car isn't performing well, it
- 54:14Speaker 2: is gonna burn gas as efficiently, which means you'll get
- 54:16Speaker 2: worse gas mileage. But today was the first time I
- 54:20Speaker 2: physically I was like, oh man, that's different. It didn't
- 54:23Speaker 2: have the same pickup, and when I jumped on it,
- 54:24Speaker 2: you could it stalled a little bit before it took off.
- 54:27Speaker 2: And again it's a relatively new truck. It's only got
- 54:29Speaker 2: seventy thousand miles.
- 54:30Speaker 4: Further proof we do indeed have the smartest audience. Someone else,
- 54:33Speaker 4: Will texted us, Jimmy, you may need to put a
- 54:35Speaker 4: tank of ninety three octane's three your truck. It's a
- 54:38Speaker 4: two point three L turbo motor and they run a
- 54:40Speaker 4: lot better on higher octane fuel. You don't have to
- 54:43Speaker 4: do it all the time, but I would recommend doing
- 54:45Speaker 4: it every third or fourth Phillip.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Yes, I know it costs a hell of a lot.
- 54:48Speaker 2: I used to do that. I swear on my life
- 54:51Speaker 2: I used to do that, and I just do this vehicle.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Yes when I first got it, but I you just
- 54:56Speaker 2: get out of the habit of doing it. Yeah, and
- 54:57Speaker 2: again when you pull up to the tank and you
- 54:59Speaker 2: look at it when it normal times, when it's like, okay,
- 55:01Speaker 2: well it's two eighty nine a gallon, or it's four
- 55:03Speaker 2: hundred and thirty one thousand dollars of you know, an
- 55:05Speaker 2: ounce because it's like those gas prices go from it's
- 55:08Speaker 2: so ridiculous, Like the premium gas right now, normal gas
- 55:12Speaker 2: is like four to twenty five average, I believe, and
- 55:14Speaker 2: I guess the premium is a full dollar and twenty
- 55:17Speaker 2: cents more gallon.
- 55:18Speaker 4: That's just why I'm so grateful I drive a car
- 55:20Speaker 4: that doesn't recommend you put premium gas.
- 55:23Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean I could put a gas. I
- 55:24Speaker 2: could put a tank in like occasionally like I used
- 55:27Speaker 2: to it. It would be about like once every two or
- 55:28Speaker 2: three phillips. But man, it is marketedly bore gash. Well.
- 55:32Speaker 4: A lot of people are also saying you can find
- 55:33Speaker 4: an octane booster at the Dollar Tree, which I don't
- 55:36Speaker 4: know if you're aware, but that guy over there I
- 55:38Speaker 4: believe has a coupon.
- 55:40Speaker 2: And then somebody as for the Dollar Tree is Dollar General. Sorry,
- 55:45Speaker 2: I thought you cover all your bases. Although I am
- 55:48Speaker 2: a fan of Dollar Tree. That's where I go for
- 55:50Speaker 2: my ultra ride. Advanced whitening toothpased, Deborah, how dare you
- 55:53Speaker 2: disrespect this for a gas.
- 55:54Speaker 4: Second time today? Also check your spark plugs. If your
- 55:57Speaker 4: engine isn't running well.
- 55:58Speaker 2: I know it has to be. I know it needs
- 56:00Speaker 2: a tune up. It should have had a tune up.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Probably around sixty thousand miles is what I think it requires,
- 56:04Speaker 2: and I know I'm gonna do that. You know it
- 56:06Speaker 2: plugs wires the on nine yards, But I'm telling you
- 56:09Speaker 2: this is not a plug wire scenario. Like I've built
- 56:11Speaker 2: a couple of cars in my life. I know what
- 56:13Speaker 2: the plug wire scenario is, Like, this is not it?
- 56:16Speaker 2: Some super or high test gas is gonna demonstrate if
- 56:20Speaker 2: that was the Ishay, Yeah, I'm gonna definitely do that.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Next time I fill up, I'll go get a small
- 56:24Speaker 2: loan and then I'll put that three hundred dollars worth
- 56:28Speaker 2: of gas in my truck. I mean, I can't imagine
- 56:30Speaker 2: anybody's burning premium gas right now. I would only imagine
- 56:34Speaker 2: if they have a glut of premium gas on hand
- 56:37Speaker 2: right now, that the gas, the premium gas in the
- 56:39Speaker 2: tanks right now that are in there is probably the
- 56:41Speaker 2: premium gas that's in there since like the beginning of April.
- 56:44Speaker 2: There's no way but people are buying that voluntarily. Nobody
- 56:47Speaker 2: putting nobody's putting five dollars and eighty cent gas in
- 56:50Speaker 2: their vehicle voluntarily when there is a four dollars and
- 56:53Speaker 2: twenty cent option.
- 56:55Speaker 4: I don't know. I mean some vehicles out there require it, right.
- 56:58Speaker 2: I mean it requires a big word. I mean it's gas. Man,
- 57:02Speaker 2: it's gonna run. You know it's gonna run, all right?
- 57:08Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine four one text us at seven
- 57:11Speaker 2: seven zero three one. Do they get those people at
- 57:13Speaker 2: that roller coaster yet or.
- 57:14Speaker 4: They done terrified to look.
- 57:18Speaker 2: I can't stop thinking about it. I don't know what
- 57:19Speaker 2: it is. I saw that picture.
- 57:21Speaker 4: Everything about it as nightmarish. You're on your back, you're
- 57:24Speaker 4: on your way up the incline, and they want you
- 57:27Speaker 4: to ship me out and hope a firefighter is gonna
- 57:30Speaker 4: catch you two hundred feet in the air.
- 57:31Speaker 2: I think they put a harness on you before they least,
- 57:35Speaker 2: but who cares. Man, if you have height issues, there's
- 57:37Speaker 2: no way you wouldn't be able to pry me out
- 57:39Speaker 2: of that seat.
- 57:39Speaker 4: Yeah, but you wouldn't be able to get me on
- 57:41Speaker 4: the roller coaster to start with.
- 57:42Speaker 2: I'd be like, just bring me a pillow and a blanket,
- 57:44Speaker 2: and then when you guys put this bitch on reverse
- 57:46Speaker 2: tomorrow morning, I'll get off them. But there's no way
- 57:48Speaker 2: I'm climbing on the stands back so he can take
- 57:51Speaker 2: my fat ass down that down that ladder. It ain't happening, dude.
- 57:54Speaker 2: I'm not moving from this seat. If anybody reaches for
- 57:57Speaker 2: the seat belt, they're getting then elbow. Nobody touching my seat.
- 58:01Speaker 2: I'm sorry, dude, I'm just gonna be up there. There's
- 58:03Speaker 2: no way I could get out of that car. It
- 58:05Speaker 2: was stuck in the vertical position. It was like the
- 58:07Speaker 2: beginning to the Ripbride Rocket at Universe, so totally different
- 58:10Speaker 2: roller coaster. But it went where it goes straight up,
- 58:14Speaker 2: straight up, and that's where it stopped. And the I
- 58:17Speaker 2: guess the theme park said it performed as it's supposed
- 58:20Speaker 2: to recognize there was a problem, so it stopped the
- 58:23Speaker 2: ride with no one being hurt. Yeah, but it is.
- 58:26Speaker 2: I mean they were there for hours before the rescue.
- 58:28Speaker 2: Four hours. Four hours, Yeah, two hundred feet in the air,
- 58:33Speaker 2: laying straight on your back, looking at the sky now,
- 58:35Speaker 2: wondering at that. And by the way, you don't know
- 58:37Speaker 2: that thing's gonna break loose and you start going backwards
- 58:39Speaker 2: at one hundred miles an hour. They were in the position.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Jimmy actually recommended that I do to fix my schiattica.
- 58:45Speaker 2: By the way, how's that doing? Did you do it?
- 58:47Speaker 2: I did? And I did like I watched TV that
- 58:51Speaker 2: night laying on the floor, my feet up on a chair,
- 58:53Speaker 2: and that was one thing, and it was still bothering me.
- 58:56Speaker 2: The next days. I broke down and I went back
- 58:58Speaker 2: to the chiropractor, got in a judgment, and I'm feeling good. Now, yay,
- 59:03Speaker 2: but I'm still I also talked to him about stretching
- 59:06Speaker 2: and the stretching I was doing, like with a leg,
- 59:11Speaker 2: you put your ankle on I sent in the chair,
- 59:13Speaker 2: put an ankle on my knee, and then you push
- 59:15Speaker 2: down down. He said, what's bad about that? You can't
- 59:19Speaker 2: do that sitting in the chair because you're not extending
- 59:22Speaker 2: that nerve. You have to do that lying on your back.
- 59:25Speaker 2: You're trying to stretch out those but you have to
- 59:27Speaker 2: lie on your back. Do you do the one where
- 59:30Speaker 2: you you lay on your side and you take the
- 59:32Speaker 2: top leg and throw it over to the right so
- 59:34Speaker 2: your knees touching the ground, and then take your shoulders
- 59:36Speaker 2: and do it the other way. Yes, that's another good one. Yeah, yeah,
- 59:39Speaker 2: that's a real good one. Yeah yeah, why anything not
- 59:44Speaker 2: to get out of that car, anything not to get
- 59:46Speaker 2: out of the roller coaster car. I'll do any stretch.
- 59:48Speaker 2: I don't care what it is, all right, seven seven
- 59:50Speaker 2: zero three one. That's where you can text us. We'll

- 1:00:20Speaker 7: one of the weirdest mating habits. They hang from a
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: mucus rope and twirl in the air.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Like a ballet.
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: Have a good show, y'all.

- 1:00:56Speaker 2: a couple of seconds. Welcome back. I'm Jim. There's deb Hello.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Jack is here as well. Yeah, do you have one
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: on a question of the day. You know that's for
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: me to know when you to find out, buddy, But
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I have to understand but it, Yeah, I get it,
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: you know, I'm terrible at it. What are you bringing up?
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: You know about a well, I don't know. Sometimes you
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: have a theme, like, you have a topic and you
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: think it's which is a good question for you today?
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: All right? Sometimes it's not Relatedeah, put it up there.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Do you have OCD? Any level of OCD? As we're
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: talking about that a little bit later. We're gonna talk
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: about that in the five o'clock hour. Interesting story about
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: OCD and I'll tell you that then. So I have
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: a question. You know, Fox already five put out a
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: really interesting list. This is a short segment. We'll do
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: that here. I have a this is a weird thing.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: I have to tell you. I don't know how to
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: feel about this, and I don't want to offend anybody
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: while saying this, but they put out the list of
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: the words that are the most misspelled words in the
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: English language today, and I have to tell you it's horrifying. Really, yes,
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: it's horrifying. Yay charter schools. The ninth hardest word to spell,
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: with one hundred thousand searches is the word niece oh
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: n I E C E. That's it. Okay, that's the
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: ninth hardest word to spell. It's in America. It's the
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: eye before e thing that confused eye before e except
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: after C number six is the word because in America
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: that's the sixth most search word to misspell. Is the
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: word because the E c U Z yes nailed it.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: See that's part of the reason I saw I saw
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: this today thing shorthand, and I expected pretty tricky words.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: And I have to tell you, you know, if I'm
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: being one hundred percent, you know honest, here, there are
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: a couple here that kind of trick me occasionally. A word,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: the word separate tricks me occasionally because I said s
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: E p e A, but I'll put I. I usually
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: put e sometimes in s E p A right. The
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: word definitely. Oh, that's another one. That's another one because
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: you go I N A T instead of I T right.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: So those are but those are tricky little words. What
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: do you think the number one uh searched word to
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: spell it?
- 1:03:18Speaker 18: Now?
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: This one actually is kind of weird because it's kind
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: of a hips not a hipster word, but kind of
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: a young word. The word bougie. Oh yeah, how do
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: you spell bougie? Ah? Not sure? I think it's b
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: o U g h I E no no h no
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I E, but I E. And the only reason I
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: know that is from the Bougie bond I we just
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: add it.
- 1:03:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: The second the second most misspelled, most search word one
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: hundred and twenty eight thousand, four hundred searches to spell
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: the word favorite in America. Favorite That is legit, a
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: second or third grade spelling word.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: Have you seen any of the Instagram reels where someone
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: will walk up to a young person on the street
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: and say name, name a continent and someone will respond
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: and say London.
- 1:04:16Speaker 12: No.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: I mean, seriously, it's depressing if you look at teachers
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: reels or whatever with some of the handwriting, or you know,
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: the the essays they turn in where the word would
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: is spelled like w O O D.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, well sometimes you'll get it on
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: the texting service. You'll, you'll people will check in and
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: uh the when we do sink or sale? Right s
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: A L E. Yeah, yeah, I'm not understanding the the
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I think what happens if if you do voice the
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: texts and you say sale, it's going to give you
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: s A l E exactly. Yeah, And unfortunately that doesn't count, No,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: it doesn't. It has to be. The third one is
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: the word through th h R O U g A.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: That's it. Yeah, yeah. Fourth one is business uh B
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: U s I n E S S in America. Business
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: is the fourth most searched misspelled word in the United
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: States of America. You're feeling good about your retirement. I know,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I am no here. No. This one is kind of
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: tricky because you always get mixed up on which one
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: you double up the word tomorrow. I always get that one,
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: except yeah, exactly, M two R. There you go one
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: M two rs. The word because comes in six. The
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: word definitely comes in seven. And here's another tricky one.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: I'll give him this as well. Like if this was
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: number one, I wouldn't even be that freaked out about
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: this list. Beautiful b E a U T I f
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: U out. And I can tell you right now that
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: most people in America know how to spell that word
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: because of ace ventura b E a U or what
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: is it when he does that whole is it? I
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: don't know? Is it a sventura? I don't know. I'm
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: actually surprised you brought that up. He spells it out
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: in one of the movies, and I was like, Okay,
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: well everybody knows how to spell that word now. Yeah,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: the word niece comes in nine, and then and the
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: word separate comes in tenth with almost one hundred thousand
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: searches to find the word separate.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Meanwhile, you have a fourteen year old kid who just
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: won the Script Spelling B with a word I don't
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: even think I can pronounce.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I don't even know if we could do. Look when
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: we do wordles. Sometimes when we just play wordle, Jack
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: will tell you like, there was a word last week,
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: and I think I did not get the word. And
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I'll go on these streaks while I have like ten twelve,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: fifteen days in a row or whatever. I'll nail it
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: every time, and then you'll get a word. I'm like, well,
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: I don't even know what that is. How am I
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: supposed to guess what that is? When I don't even
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: know what it is? Like I didn't know it was
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: a word? How do you? I mean? At Sometimes you
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: just like take the leftover letters and you're like, well,
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: I guess that fits there, and it sounds like it
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: could be a word. So we'll do it. Like people
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: are texting, yeah, the one that just came in as
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: good bureau buro. Yeah, you do that one, b you
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: are eau no ice, that's a good one. Restaurant screws
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: me up sometimes restaurant is a tough one sometimes sometimes
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: I wrote it so many times because it makes it
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: doesn't make sense that the you is where it is.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: That's exactly it. You should be at the ind part right,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: because that's where you say restaurant. So why is it rant?
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: I don't know different. Jim Carrey movie Bruce Almighty the Go.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: I like that movie. It's pretty good movie. I saw
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: this list. I was terrified. Guy, I don't wanna be
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: honest with you. It is Are you absolutely kidding me
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: that the second most misspelled word in search word in
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: America is because like you? Because haven't I? That doesn't
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: shock you not anymore, does it not? Jack Row? Over
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: the past ten years, I've really the list. I've lowered
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: the bar on my expectations for the collective intelligence of
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: the nation. Oh man, any way, all right? For her,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: it's spelling me. And it's probably why they had that
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: is because the nasty spelling me and those words and
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: those kids whoa both are freaky.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: And not only that, did you guys hear? There was
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: a seven year old Central Florida girl. She goes to
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: a school in Sanford. She has just been accepted into
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: MENSA No way really, which is like, yeah, I wish
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: I could be a bit Never ever happened she tested
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: where do you what percentile of did she best the
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: other kids her age across the country.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: This isn't just in Florida. Yea, yeah, ninety point ninety
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: nine point ninety ninety nine. See that's the thing. I'm
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: not smart enough to know what end of the percentile
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: is good to be on you.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: It's she tested ninety nine point nine percent above other
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: seven year olds across the country.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: There's point oh one percent of the population that is
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: smarter to or smarter than her.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: Yep, she's seven years old.
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: I gotta tell you though, Man, this is a weird thing.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: You remember we talked about this documentary where it went
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: over these prodigies they were young and what and then
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: it followed them through life and man, not well in
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: this case. I don't know if they framed it like
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: this because they can easily do that.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: Well, they have the intelligence, but they don't have the
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: social skills, the psychological development. It's it's tough to be
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: a prodigy at nine years old on a college campus.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly what happened to a couple of people
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: in this in this, in this documentary, it was guys
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: and girls who were unbelievably smart at a very young age.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: And uh, I think out of the five, three of
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: them hadn't left home yet in their thirties. Yeah, because
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: they just did not know how to apply their intellect.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: They didn't know how to use it. And with that
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: kind of intellect comes, like you were saying, other social
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: ticks that make them kind of almost unemployable because although
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: they're unbelievably smart, nobody can get it out of them
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: the way they need it used. Well.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Plus, we've we've also heard of a lot of employers saying,
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: especially recently now because it's graduation season, nobody cares about
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: you GPA. What they care about is are you easy
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: to work with? Are you a problem solve for? You know, likability?
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: Are you the person who comes with a problem and
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: also the solution because your GPA is I mean, maybe
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: get you in the door, but after that it relies
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: on your interpersonal skills.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Dude, I'm telling you that that that that Steve Jobs
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: thing I just told you guys about a half weeks ago, Like,
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: let's have a beer. Can you have a conversation with
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: me like, can you just talk to me like a
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: normal human being and then can you figure out problems?
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: And that's how he would decide who to hire. It
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: wasn't strictly GPA or your degree. I was going to say,
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: now just have the beer.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Just don't ask them to sign anything, spell anything, write
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: anything down?
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: All right? Pro seven nine? Get a quick call here, Patrick,
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: How you doing, buddy? Welcome to the show. Patrick, Hey, Patrick,
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: I'm doing well, sir. I got a comment about spelling
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: and MENSA. I'm a member of MENSA. I graduated magna
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: cum laude with bachelor's degree. But I can't.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Well I am there men who cares? What what is
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: your focus? Though? What is your what's your degree's focus?
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Business? Menstration?
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean you should be able to spell? Then, dog,
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: I can't.
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: Okay, matter of fact, let me tell you a quick story.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: Quick.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: When I was in military, I had a secretary. She
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: sat right outside my cube and she could tell I
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: was writing something and I couldn't figure out how to
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: spell something. So she came in and said, what can't
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: you spell? And I said, well, I can't spell the
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: word patience. I've looked it up in the victory pa
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: s H P A h. It's not the dick spearing.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they wouldn't find it under those places.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: You would not. And that's why I always had a
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: problem when they say, if you can't spell it, we'll
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: look it up. Well, and how do I know if
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: I can't spell it? Isn't there an app or you
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: can put the misspelling in and it'll just kind of
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: figure out exactly what they think you're trying to pick. Now,
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: I think that makes us worse spelling. Yes, we have
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: auto correct and spelling correction because we don't have to
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: know it. We rely on that to do it. And
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: I can spell separately wrong every time and it's going
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: to fix it.
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: And that's why a lot of times when I text,
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: it's more convenient to just hit the the word that
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: pops up. But I don't want to lose the ability
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: to remember how to spell words as I text, right,
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: So I'm trying to get myself out of that habit.
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: But Jack, you graduated magna cum cloudy.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: No, no, no, just kum cloudy, just cum cloudy. Yeah
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: magna my bad, just far enough to figure out the difference.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: I graduated m lucky.
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: And look at stuff.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Hey guys, Deputy Scott over here in my little world,
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: the absolute worst word to have to spell is lieutenant.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Oh yeah, that's why it's just lt period.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: I'm moving on. You guys, have a great weekend. L
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: I L as much as this hurts to do, Jimmy
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: is correct. He's Ventura, Thank you so much.
- 1:13:09Speaker 17: B e a beautiful. I still say it every time
- 1:13:12Speaker 17: I spell the word. I have a little tricks like
- 1:13:15Speaker 17: that on a lot of these words, and I fancy
- 1:13:19Speaker 17: myself a decent speller, but uh, you know, spelling in
- 1:13:22Speaker 17: America can't always be.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Be e a beautiful. Yeah, I cannot buy now, gotta
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: chime in. It's Bruce Almighty said, be e a beautiful.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: You're welcome, Thank you. I appreciate it.
- 1:13:37Speaker 19: It drives you be crazy when people spell the word
- 1:13:39Speaker 19: lose l osc but they misspelling. They go l oh
- 1:13:45Speaker 19: oh s b n loose drives me absolutely bananas, driving
- 1:13:52Speaker 19: him never.
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: You know, it's funny when you think about it. The
- 1:13:56Speaker 4: English language, right is it read or read? Oh well,
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: we'll spelled the exact same way.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Have you seen that guy that does that bid on
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: that on Instagram? He'll go he's like he's teaching a
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: class and goes, you know, just like exactly what you're saying.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: He goes, okay, so this is pale p A I
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: R p A l E. It's a bucket. So this
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: is and he goes pal He is, no, but it's
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: the different spelling for the same kind of word, and
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: it is. It just lets you know how brutal this
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: language is.
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: I mean, it's one of the hardest to learn, is
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: it not. It is like if you're not English or
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: not American.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: Or if English is not your your your first language. Yeah,
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: it's very difficult to learn.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: It has to be the most one of the most
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: common second languages. I would think. I think it is
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: common second one. Yeah, I mean yeah. And then you know,
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: and you see someone I know people do this. They
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: see someone speaking English as a second language, and when
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: you can only speak English, and they judge them as
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: being intellectually inferior because they're they don't quite have the
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: grasp of the language.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: And then the same as one of their two, three,
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: four or five languages. Yeah, exactly, you're the idiot.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: And in the same sense, if you meet somebody who
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: can speak and there's a word for someone who can
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: speak Is it polymath? A polymath that can speak a
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: lot of different languages? I think that's the word for
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: I'm not one hundred on that, but there's a word
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: for that. You know, if you can speak multiple languages,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: I believe over three. I think polymath is someone who
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: can do several allige of our problems at the same
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Is it poly lingual? I don't know, but there's a
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: word for it. I just looked it up. Poly lingual.
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Is it poly lingual? Yeah?
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: Poly lingual means speaking or using multiple languages.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: I thought there's another word for that that I kept
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: seeing when I when I do trivia, I see that
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: a lot. But uh, I no, no.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: I was just going to ask you what language you
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: would want to learn.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: If you've Spanish, it's easy and for me as Spanish,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: but I mean it's the most It would be the
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: biggest tool for me. Uh in this state would be
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: able to speak Spanish. I think in this country the
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: biggest tool for any other person who English is their
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: first language, is their second language to be Spanish. I
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: tried to coach both of my daughters to choose that
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: as their language, and one went French, and the other
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: one went asl oh, really I won't take Russian. I'm
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: like what and you go work for the CIA? Yeah?
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, I would love to learn Thai really, yeah,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: because then that way you know what your nail text
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: are saying about you or Vietnamese.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Oh you don't want to know?
- 1:16:21Speaker 8: Oh yeah, you do.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Well, I told you there's a no. I read that
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: story about that woman who who had her translator on
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: her phone, oh and found out they were talking madass
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: about her the entire time. Oh yeah, that's what they're doing. Yeah.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: The most fun, though, is when you switch it and
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: you start talking another language, and then they can't pick
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: up on your gossip. Man, just make sure you do
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: that after they've already cut your toenails. It's weird, you know,
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: it's wild in this country. When somebody comes to this
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: country and they learned this language, you know, we will
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: give them a compliment, you know. You know, if you
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: meet somebody you know is from another country, Vietnam, whatever
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: the case may be, and they learn the language very well,
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: you know, we you rarely like I don't go out
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: of my way to go Hey man, you know, that's
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: a great job, you know, tough language. But have you
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: ever seen the guys online that speak Mandarin And when
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: they go into Chinese restaurants in like Chinatown, like in
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: San Francisco or New York, and they start speaking the
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: native language, the entire restaurant stops going, Oh yeah.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: They can't believe a regular white dude can speak China,
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: you know, Mandarin Chinese, and they lose their mind over it.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: They it's like it's like a circus trick, like he's
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: juggling fire.
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: I really do believe we're the only country in the
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: world that doesn't require learning a second language, and we should.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: It should be Spanish, no question. Polygott. Yeah, I appreciate
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: that very much. Well, we have some Central Florida news.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: We like to talk about these things occasionally, and I
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: have to tell you this one's a little I understand
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: why it has to be done. This is just kicking
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: my nostalgias straight. And it's nuts. Have you guys seen
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: the Disney the Disney News. What are they taking down?
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: They're not taking it down, you know already. I don't know.
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: I just saw like I just saw the headline. Yeah,
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: I mean, I don't have a story here. It's just
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: that I do have a bit of a story here.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: But they're shutting down the Carousel Progress. I thought they
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: were making improvements to it for a year, and they
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: are completely revamping the Carousel Progress. Now the question I
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: wanted to ask because the future has caught up with
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: the d Yeah, it was the twenties, forties, and sixties,
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: I believe, Right, does it get into the eighties? I
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: can't remember in the eighties. So what they're gonna do
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: now is where do you think they're starting? What era
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: do you believe they're starting the new Carousel Progress in now?
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Start at two thousand. They will not start in two thousands.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: It doesn't make any sense what they're doing. I do
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: not understand it. I truthfully do not understand it. Maybe
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: it's because the technology that they can show you on
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: stage from the two thousands on is basically online stuff.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: Right, So they're getting rid of the twenties, the thirties,
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: and the gone gone.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: They're gonna start it in the nineteen sixties and then
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: move forward and then they according to the story I
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: read today, where it's ending is even weirder. Like I look, listen,
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: I don't have much bad to say about Disney they
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: you know, it's a wonderful company. It has employed many,
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: many thousands of people here in Central Florida. They're great
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: community partners with us, they really are. You know, you
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: can rag on Disney for stupid stuff. In reality, if
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: you live here in Central Florida, it's as iconic as
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: any company that's in this city for a good reason.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: By the way, And with that said, though, like they're
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: starting it in the sixties, then they go into the
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: eighties and then the two thousands. Where do you think
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: they're going after the two thousands or after the year
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: two thousand, three thousand, one thousand years ahead. You're right, Ai,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: it's moving into like an I don't even think it's
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: going to be on Earth. I think the last iteration
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: of humanity that they're going to show in the Carousel
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Progress is gonna be on the moon, like a moon
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: base or something, you know why, so they don't have
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: to worry about updated or passing them by. Yeah, it'll
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: always be the future, that's what it says in the story. Yeah,
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: oh oh, this is sad.
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: Somebody just texted us at seven seven zero three when
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: it's a travesty. It's the last thing that Walt Disney
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: has at Disney World that he literally worked on and
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: created himself. It's his art and they're going to change
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: it and wipe it out. It's disgusting. It means nothing
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: at Disney World will be Walt Disney.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: And it's funny for people who used to go to
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Disney all the time. There were two rides that were
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: there or three actually that were there for one specific reason.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: If you went to Disney as a central Floridian in
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: the summer, you went to three things to get the
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: blank out of the sun. You went to the Carousel Progress,
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: the Country Bear Jamboree, and the Hall of Presidents and they.
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: Were going to say Space Coast Mountain.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: They were twenty minute shows that you could sit in
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: the most glorious ac to cool off before you went
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: back out there and took another round in the ninety
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: eight degree weather as you literally evaporated on the property exactly.
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: But the thing I don't understand is why started in
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: the city sixties. The only thing I can imagine is
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: this ice is the last. I think it's the last
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: iteration of the stuff generation. Do you mean you know
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Like when all the stuff became like
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: electronic and moved away from being mechanical, and then from
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: the two thousands on, really all the technology we've seen
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: is online, right, it's it's information technology. It isn't like
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: industrial technology. It isn't a new way to freeze ice
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: or a new way to microwave your food. I mean,
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: all of that was brand new stuff in the sixties
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: and seventies. But I also think you look at the
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: who is going to be there, and if it's parents
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: and their kids, exactly when were these people born? And
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: you don't want not like out kick your coverage, you
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: don't want to go beyond what your audience is going
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: to be because the.
- 1:21:45Speaker 4: Sixties is us like, I mean, it's well, yeah, so
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: a young family like Ross and Olivian Miles, I mean
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: when they're born in the late eighties, Yeah, they're gonna
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: pick it up in the eight then the sixties is ancient.
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: So for them to go back to the fifties, forties, thirties,
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: there's no frame of reference nowhere.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: And you know, yeah, because when you started in the
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: twenties and you make it to the sixties, like all
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: the household items got way, you know, you weren't using
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: an iron that you heat it up in the fire, right,
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: you had one you could plug in and you adjust
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: how hot it would get. You know, back in the day,
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: it wasn't like that and all of that technology. You
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: could literally see it come to life during the carousel,
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: and there's no more of that.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: And that's where I would like that they would keep
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: the older generations, because you would see the transition, you know,
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: when families used to get their entertainment by sitting around
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: the radio, to it transitioning to sitting around the television.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: And a text points out when this came out, the
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: Carousel of Progress, it started sixty years back, right, and
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: so this will be starting sixty years back. Isn't that crazy?
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: And by the way, they're supposed to be easter eggs
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: all throughout the thing that throw you back to the
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: original ride. Oh really? Yeah? Yeah, so they say that
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: when you see the panels, and there's another way. There's
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: something else they're doing as well. Go ahead, quick correction, polyglot.
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: There's an ellen there for someone who speaks in multiple languages, Pollyglott. Yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: this thing started at the World's Fair, then they took
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: it over Carousel the Progress. Yeah, then they took it
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: over to disney Land and then it was there for
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: like a year. Then they brought it here to disney World.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Disney Land much better theme park. That's what some Texters
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: were weighing in on. Somebody actually said they worked the
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: one out there, and they said that Disneyland is better.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: I just saw Cheryl, our Disney expert here in the building,
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: and she got a laugh when I told her that
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: a second ago. I just I was so unimpressed when
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: I walked in, and I'm like, that's your castle, beauty. Nothing.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: She's got to sleep outside. Yeah, can't even fit in that,
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: it says. The next it said, Oh, by the way,
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: the scene that's in the eighties will be set in Halloween.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Oh wow, it'll be like a Halloween scene. It says.
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: Sarah will take the stage in the center stage for
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: the first time while Patty gets ready for work and
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: Uncle Orville talks about investing his life savings into a
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: company called Apple. There you go, that's exactly it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: and he bitches about not having privacy back when the
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: Apple logo was all the different colors. Yeah. The third
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: scene will be said at the turn of the twenty
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: first century, with the Rise of the Internet. It says
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: Grandma and Grandpa are visiting for New Years. Once Grandpa
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: falls asleep, Grandma turns on pro wrestling and then she
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: tunes in the boxing on the current version of the attraction.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: I don't know what that means.
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: Grandma likes to throw down, is what I heard.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: Oh, tunes on pro wrestling like she would have done
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: in the radio back in the day. Oh yeah, and
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: watches it there. And then the other one will be
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: very very far in the future, so it won't get
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: quickly dated. They're living off planet with a robot assistant.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: Well, it's like you know, Jack had said, the first
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: one started sixty years ago when the park opened in
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: seventy one. The twenties were only fifty years ago.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: Fifty years ago, which is amazing that it is.
- 1:24:50Speaker 4: I mean, now the park is fifty years.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: And by the way, when Disney built this, I mean,
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: whoever said that was right? It said, he never thought
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: he that's the right. He never thought would stop progressing.
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: He thought when he invented that ride, that would always
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: be able to be updated, so it would never be
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: out of date. That's that it would. So what's happening
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: right now? Is actually buy Disney's design himself. Yeah, is
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: to keep this thing going so it can continually show
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: generations of younger people what the generations that their mom
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: and dad came from kind of look like. Because I'm
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: not how many kids talk to their parents about that stuff,
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Like your kids that you don't tell me about what
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: it is, Like my kids do occasionally like what was
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: it like, you know, only having a record or a
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: radio and stuff. We'll talk about that a little bit,
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: but other than that, they do not care.
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: It is interesting the purest at Disney, there is that subset,
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: that group of people who want nothing to do with
- 1:25:39Speaker 4: the Disney, with the Michael Eisner time on. You know,
- 1:25:42Speaker 4: they're very purest to the way Walt Disney saw it,
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: and that's the way it should be. Don't do that
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: thing that always happens change.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. But the thing is, man, I understand that
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: because when like, if I were to go back to Disney,
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: I want to go to the shows that that you know,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: I knew that I liked as a kid. I liked
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Hall Press because my grandmother loved the Hall of Presidents.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: It was the very first thing we ever did when
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: we went into Disney as a family. I only got
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: to go with her one time ever, and she wanted
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: to go the Hall of Presidents more than anything, and
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: we watched it, and then she liked the the Tiki
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Hut thing. The enchanted tikiro was great. But when I
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: went to the first time I went to the Hall
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: of Presidents, it ended with Jimmy Carter, Oh.
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: Wow, that is crazy, and you can't forget Country Bear Jamboree.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: She loved it. They've already redone that I know.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: They're taking your childhood, My damn childhood.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: It's still there. They just change it around. Oh yeah, no,
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: they made him look better or something whatever. They got
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: lost a little week. Yeah, he's on that Manjaro. I
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: think of the one person on earth that likes that
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: damn tree, I don't think. I don't think anybody else
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: likes that tree. That's Swiss family tree.
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: I used to fantasize about running up into it and
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: hiding so that I could live in it.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Did we tell you something I own? I looked at
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: my mom one time and I said, you guys, go
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: ahead and take off. I'm living that damn tree. I
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: do not want to live anywhere else except that in
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: tree all I care about.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: I loved that thing. I wanted to like hide in
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: it and wait for the park to close.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like you guys tell me when the people are
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: coming out all last. But I'm going back of this
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: tree last time I was there with the kids. I'm
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: just like, this is It's just a tree, dude that
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: I love that tree. I don't know what it is,
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: all right, four seven nine one text us at seven
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: seven zero three one back in one sect with more
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: than Jim Colbert shows, say Pook, they.
- 1:27:26Speaker 14: Were taking carousel props away. I love that bride and
- 1:27:31Speaker 14: sometimes it wasn't an escape from the heat if you
- 1:27:33Speaker 14: just wanted to go in there and see those things.
- 1:27:36Speaker 14: And it would be better if if it went from
- 1:27:38Speaker 14: the very beginning like cooking over fire to being on
- 1:27:41Speaker 14: the moon.
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: But I get it.
- 1:27:43Speaker 14: I'm wondering if you get to have pets on the moon,
- 1:27:45Speaker 14: maybe they'll show that part. They can have these little spacesuits.
- 1:27:49Speaker 14: I think that would be great.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: My name's Kate, Hey Kate, Jim.
- 1:27:53Speaker 20: You also forgot other places that I remember using to
- 1:27:57Speaker 20: chill out and get out of the sun was the
- 1:27:59Speaker 20: tea birds and if you had wings and skylt oh no, wait,
- 1:28:06Speaker 20: that was the smoke adodiyond.
- 1:28:09Speaker 21: So, my uncle is from Switzerland, and of course their
- 1:28:12Speaker 21: country alone has several languages, and I think he speaks
- 1:28:15Speaker 21: like a total of maybe six. But when I was
- 1:28:18Speaker 21: out there one time, one of his friends said to me,
- 1:28:21Speaker 21: you know, you call somebody that speaks two languages bilingual.
- 1:28:24Speaker 21: Someone that speaks three languages is trilingual. What do you
- 1:28:27Speaker 21: call someone that speaks one language American? So that it
- 1:28:31Speaker 21: made me laugh. But polyglot is the word you're looking
- 1:28:34Speaker 21: for for people that speak multiple multiple languages and can
- 1:28:38Speaker 21: just pick them up either.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess. I hope you guys are doing well. O.
- 1:28:42Speaker 12: Your boy can speak eight different languages?
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Polymath is that what it is? Thanks by it's impressively Yeah,
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: I only have three. I want English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese,
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Portuguese Portuguese.
- 1:28:58Speaker 4: Which is interesting because it's like any muscle.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: If you don't use it, you lose it, right right right.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: I'm cling on Esperanto and American sylanguage.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: American sign language. That's not a bad one to learn.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: I speak English and then Southern English. There you go,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: I can tell.
- 1:29:16Speaker 16: Isn't that how you knew that they're going to order me.
- 1:29:23Speaker 16: If you get the Mountain Dude four seven.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: Text us at seven seven zero three one. Welcome back.
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: I'm Jim. There's debs here as well. People Mover. That's
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: the other one that was a big time thing over
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: at Disney. It used to when we went there for
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: a grad nights. That's where you dipped in to find
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: a place to maybe do stuff and you were supposed
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: to do Yeah. Yeah, people Mover.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Somebody had texted it and said that their baby picture.
- 1:29:50Speaker 4: My baby picture is on the corkboard and the final
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: scene that's the only thing I'm sad will change.
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: Oh wow, really? Oh cool?
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Is that?
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: How the hell that happen? I don't know, maybe knew
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: an imagineer, Yeah maybe. So all right, seven seven zero
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: three one. If you want to text us, if you'd
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: like to leave a talk back, like those wonderful people
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: who did during the break, you could do that as well.
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: It's easy if you have the iheartrap app. Oh my god,
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: if you have the iHeartRadio app, just go to that
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: and use that mic to send your comment over to
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Jack on the real radio page. That'll be easy to do. OCD.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: So you know the reason I'm talking about this little bit.
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: We don't have to stay on this too long because
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: I don't want to make anybody uncomfortable or whatever. But yeah,
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: and I just kind of got amazed by this story.
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: I wanted to talk to you guys and see if
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: you knew anybody. And I know you have a little
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: bit of that, you know, sure you can say a
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: little Yeah, I know I know people that have it.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: I do not have any of this. But I'm anti OCD.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: And it doesn't mean like I'm not trying to be.
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: It's just I'm the opposite of OCD. Like, is there
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: a messy is there a messy version of that? Like
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: I don't have that thing where if something's the greatest
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: of all time? No, no, no, stop, that would be
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: your ADHD. Yeah, I have ADHD.
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: ADHD keeps you. Yeah, so OCD I think would drive
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: you crazy.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: Yeah it does drive me. Yeah, yeah, it would be
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: it would I'd be crazy.
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I am the OCD. Where Spot on the Wall? Wow,
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: look the movie is still on Spot on the Wall.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Oh, it's going to be a good scene.
- 1:31:08Speaker 4: Ploset got to clean the spot.
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: On the wall. Yeah, that's how my wife has a
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: little bit of that she has a little bit of
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: the OCD thing where things have to be in a
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: certain place at a certain time. She likes things out
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: a certain way. But that is a particular I always
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: thought that was just being particular. No, I don't I
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: didn't know an anxiety disorder? Is it really? Yeah? And
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: it's surprising to see the votes coming in and you
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: can that it's our question do you think you have OCD?
- 1:31:32Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's in our YouTube chat Real Radio dot
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: FM slash watch the stories in the BBC. It's about
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: a thirty two yer old woman named Emily from England
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: and she talks about you know what this did to
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: her life? Now? She has the most extreme that I've
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: ever heard of. How long do you think it takes
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: her to take a shower?
- 1:31:48Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: Probably three hours? What's the Jack Nicholson when he was
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: in the movie As Good as It Gets, Yes, he
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: was OCD in that one right and seeking therapy because
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: like he could not step on any cracks. I mean
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: that's debilitating oct Yeah, she.
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: Has it where she would take two hour showers. She
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: stood so long because if she was doing something and
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: a bird flew by a window, she would have to
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: restart the entire process. So, in other words, to write
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: a paragraph for a paper or whatever, it take her
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: fourteen hours because she would just start over and over
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: and over. And her parents, her parents, and the one
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: of the unique aspects of this topic is her mom
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: and dad. And I listen, man, you know, when you
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: have children, especially if you have more than you know,
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: we have four, it's so difficult to really pay close,
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: close attention to what each of them do in their
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: private life. You're trying to give them some privacy. You're
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: trying to give them some independence and autonomy and independence
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: so they can create their own personalities and their own,
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: you know, the things that are going to drive them
- 1:32:50Speaker 2: for the remainder of their life. And and the sad
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: part of this story is and then she has it
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: really bad. I mean she hasn't where It's like you
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: were saying, the spot on the wall thing. And I'll
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: go over some other stuff in a minute. But the
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: parents feel really bad because they feel they should have
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: done something earlier in her life. They just thought that
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: she was a perfectionist. So as a three year old,
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: she's lining stuff up on tables. They're going to restaurants,
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: and she's and she's doing this at school, all of
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: her friends thought she was weirdo because when people would
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: turn in their planners, she would go and organize everybody
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: else's planner so it was either by size or color,
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: or where it would be in stacks that were even,
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: and if there wasn't an even number, she would get
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: a planner and write the entire thing out herself, so
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: it would just be even, thank you, Julie, please take
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: your seat now.
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: Yeah. And her parents just thought she was kind of particular,
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: are kind of perfect, like a perfectionist. They never thought
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: that this would turn into this debilitating and they they
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: call it debilitating. No relationships, none, no relationships. Is she's
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: alienated all of her friends. And it's not that she's
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: doing it, it's the it's the the consulption, it's the disorder.
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: It's doing it. She can't stop it, and she went
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: into a psychiatric hospital for three months and it really
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: didn't help. And I guess one of the things I
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: brought this even up for is like what do you do, Like,
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: what do you do if you have this and you
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: know you have it and you can't stop it. There's
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: no medication for this, right.
- 1:34:17Speaker 4: I believe there are. Yeah, there are some medication.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: Just suppression stuff that I don't know.
- 1:34:24Speaker 4: OCD stands again for obsessive compulsive disorder. It is a
- 1:34:27Speaker 4: chronic mental health condition where a person experience is recurring,
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: uncontrollable and unwonted thoughts. That's the obsession's part that drive
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: them to perform repetitive, excessive behaviors. That's the compulsion part, right,
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: in an attempt to relieve the anxiety.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: My way of understanding is that the more out of
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: control you feel, the more you try to exert control
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: over your environment to try and get that sense of
- 1:34:51Speaker 4: control back, even though it's an illusion. So if you
- 1:34:54Speaker 4: can control your environment, right, yes, you're getting some of
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: that control back. You don't have to feel like you're
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: just floating out there in the nebula, right.
- 1:35:01Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: This woman says that one of her early earliest memories
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: of her daughter was Christmas Day. As a young girl,
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: when everybody else is doing all this other stuff, you know,
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: for Christmas Day, she would spend hours in her bedroom
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: straightening her duvet, making sure that her bed cover, her
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: duvet was absolutely even imperfect on each side. And she
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: said a family member went in there and didn't even
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: know what and kind of threw the Douvey back and
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: it ruined her entire day, like it ruined And this
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: is as a child, she's doing this. And she just
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: said again, as a mom, she just thought that she
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: was just particular and a perfectionist. She never really considered
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: a disorder until she got older and saw that it
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: was really kind of stymying her life or existence. She
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: wasn't really getting anything out of life. She was just
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: her entire life was committed to these obsessions and these compulsions.
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: And that's all she had to do in her day
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: was manage those things. And that was her entire day.
- 1:35:57Speaker 4: My mom said, as a little girl, all she'd have
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: to do is say, all right, time to clean up
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: your toys. Everything had its particular spot. Oh yeah, everything.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: Yeah. But it's weird because I know people who are
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: like that with their tools and stuff. Like if you
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: go on into their garage, they had that that peg
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: board with the outline and it's got the outline where
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: everything goes. And I'm like, that's wild because I got
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: it great. That keeps a very clean. Yeah, I got
- 1:36:23Speaker 2: wrenches in every junk drawer in my house. Like if
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: I want to find a screwdriver and I can't find
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: it in my toolbox, I go to every junk drawer
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: and I wind up having nine screwdrivers. So like it's wild.
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: But but in that same sense, when I sit down
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: on my couch to do what I want to do,
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: I want to make sure my phone charger's there, my
- 1:36:39Speaker 2: water's there, my beer's there. I want to make sure
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: that the right pillow that I have that I put
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: my feet on when I watch TV's there. That's just
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: being particular. Yeah, that's not an OCD particular. Won't ruin
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: my day if that stuff's not there, it's not necessarily
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: that a ruin your day.
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: So you have this example of this young lady where
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: someone came in through the duvet and it ruined her day.
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: If I don't clean the spot off the wall, that's
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: not going to ruin my day. It's just gonna get
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: stuck in this pattern of thought in my head that
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: I'm not going to be able to concentrate on anything else. Really,
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: and for me, I know, the more stressed I am,
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: the more OCDL experience.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: Really, Yah, See it's wild. When I get stressed, I
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: get angry and I get, I get I stressed a lot,
- 1:37:18Speaker 2: I get irritable, and it's not because of the thing.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: It's because of time. Usually because I like being on time.
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: I like I like being earlier on time every time.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: I just always idea. That's what I heard. What percentage
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: of the population of Earth do you believe has severe
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: OCD H You know, life altering one to two percent
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: of Earth's populations eight billion people, So what's that eight
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: hundred million or eighty eighty million people or something like
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: that that have severe OCD. It says that that she
- 1:37:54Speaker 2: was she had to. She created a walk that was
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: so bizarre because this the way that she had to
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: serve a purpose. It wasn't just like I need to
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: walk over here to talk to Jack about the show.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: It was more than that. She had an evasive way
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: of walking that she thought fit something that turned her
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: oc so much so that her mother said that when
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: she started going to grocery stores and to like malls
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: he was shopping, that the security detail would follow her
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: around because they thought she was completely off her rocker
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: and did not know if she was going to do
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: something stupid because she would walk forward two steps, turn
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: and shuffle and then walk backwards four steps and then
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: side step three or four times, and then repeat that process.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: And they thought she was nuts, so they fared around
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: everywhere she went. I just remembered this.
- 1:38:40Speaker 4: Someone just texted us at seven seven zero three one
- 1:38:43Speaker 4: Mark Summers from Doubledare. Oh yeah, battled severe OCD for years.
- 1:38:47Speaker 4: He's been open about it. I remember one of the
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: previous stations I worked at interviewed him and he said,
- 1:38:52Speaker 4: for a while he was the proudest father because his
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: five year old son could eat an ice cream cone
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: without dripping a single bit of ice cream. But then
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: he realized that wasn't his little boy just being super neat.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: It was his OCD, you know, transferring. So the kid
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: got so anxious about making a mess that he would
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: eat an ice cream clone, like no five year old
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: should eat an ice cream.
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: Cor It's funny. My boy doesn't have this, but he
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: does have a little of that. He doesn't have any
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: of the other stuff. But if he gets his hands dirty,
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: he loses his mind. When I say he loses his mind,
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: he doesn't go crazy. But I'll give you an example.
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: He works at a restaurant as a server, and he
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: says when he doesn't work brunch anymore because if he
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: touches a plate that has syrup on it and his
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: hands get sticky, he goes crazy. He has to run
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: back and wash his hands like every time, and it
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: annoys him. So he actually doesn't take brunch ships anymore
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: because of that. How crazy is that? I mean, he's
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: not crazy. I'm trying to say that we're to be
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: a dig, but we're talking about Yeah. I caught myself
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: there a little bit. I take that back, boy, you're good. Yeah,
- 1:39:56Speaker 2: it says she said the last two years of her
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: life have been horror in is that it is completely
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: taking our life over. Medication in therapy CBT, cognitive behavioral
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: therapy is one thing they recommend, and the other thing
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: is SSRIs or sertnin boosters.
- 1:40:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's where like the psychiatry thing for me
- 1:40:15Speaker 4: gets a little problematic because psychiatry is it's mainly medications.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: There is no talk therapy in psychiatry. That's the difference,
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: right that all this death. A psychiatrist can can distribute
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: medicine or idea, and that's what it's become. I don't
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: know if it's always been like that.
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: I always thought they were psychoanalysts, but you have to
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: go to a psychologist to have you know, to have
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: talk therapy.
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: Basically, a psychiatry is the appointment is to get your
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: medication description exactly.
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: So sometimes if you if it's an anxiety disorder and
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: talk therapy can help. If you're in a psychiatric setting
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: where they're going to lean more in medications, what.
- 1:40:51Speaker 2: Could they say to you that would break that? I mean,
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: you have to assume that's like kind of rooted in
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: your psyche. You can't break it on the outside. Yeah,
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: there's nothing you could say to somebody to go, hey,
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: you don't need to worry about stepping on that crack.
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: It's not going to do anything to your family.
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: It's like telling someone who's depressed, you know, just be
- 1:41:05Speaker 4: happy and think about all the blessings in your life.
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: That No, it doesn't work like that, and it never
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: comes from the outside. It has to be when you
- 1:41:13Speaker 4: have a really good therapist who can find a really
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: good therapist helps you find the answer. And it's the
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: most amazing thing because you think you know yourself, you
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: think you know why you're going into that appointment, and
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: through the process of talking, you go, holy crap, I
- 1:41:30Speaker 4: had no idea that this was why.
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: I was here. Oh, you'll never get me in that room.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: I'm scared. I'm booking your appointment.
- 1:41:36Speaker 4: I'm scared already. No, it's it's it's freeing. It's the
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: most freeing thing.
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: So what Howard said, Howard said, you know. And then,
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: by the way, you know, I've met what's his face, Mandel,
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: Howie Mandel years ago before anybody knew. He talked about
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: OCD before anybody. But I got to tell you that
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: dude handles it better than anybody I've ever seen. And
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: back in the day, he like he I don't know
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: if he just created a defense mechanism for it. But
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: we met him years ago, I mean the beginning of
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: our career, so this is thirty five years ago. He
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: was still doing the bobby thing like, he was still
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: doing the rubber glove on the head thing, right. He
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: hadn't hit that major Howie Mandel fame yet. And he
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: was so pleasant and so smart and interesting. He really was.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: And we went to shake his hand because we were
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: so blown away about how accommodating he was at that
- 1:42:20Speaker 2: star level. We went to shake his hand and he
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: did the knuckle thing He's like, I do I do this, guys,
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: And he was like he didn't. He didn't like make it.
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: He goes, I do this, guys. He just kind of
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: let you know, I don't shake hands. I do this instead,
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: and you just kind of figured it out on your own.
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: He didn't make a big deal about it or say
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: anything about it. He just goes, I do this, guys. Well,
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: we don't know how he got there, but he definitely
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: didn't let not let that stand in the way of
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: his career. No, I mean he's had a fantastic career. Well,
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: he's taking it on head He took a head on though, Jack.
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: He never tried to hide it. That's the thing about
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: him is and even in interviews when he talks about it,
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: he talks about like a grown up. He doesn't like
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: try to hide it. He's not ashamed of it. He
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: just understands he has no power over it, and I
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: guess he just tries to manage it as much as
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: he can.
- 1:43:02Speaker 4: Well, he's been doing the commercials now for you know,
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: medications for OCD, so he's been out there saying hey,
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: I need this as well.
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: So a lot of that also culminates in the way
- 1:43:12Speaker 2: you eat, which I did not know. There's a gigantic
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: portion of that of people who have OCD that have
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: diet dietary issues because of what they can and can't
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: eat because of like texture issues or how it looks
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: on the plate.
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: Or eating one section of food at a time and
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: not mixing their food up or wanting their food to.
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: Touch and I mean it can't touch at all yet
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: those that's why sign at all.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: That's a sign of OCD.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: All right four seven nine six four one text us
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: seven seven zero three one. Let him up pick the
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: porns next.
- 1:43:38Speaker 18: The amount of people to get this wrong is a fuddling.
- 1:43:41Speaker 18: They're not good gas, bad gas, cheap gas, expensive gas.
- 1:43:44Speaker 18: It's high octane, low octane. If you have the high
- 1:43:47Speaker 18: compression engine, if you put regular eighty seven in, it's
- 1:43:50Speaker 18: going to predetonate. Your engine's gonna knock and sound like
- 1:43:52Speaker 18: crap and run like craft. And likewise, if you put
- 1:43:55Speaker 18: high test gas in a regular compression engine, it's not
- 1:43:58Speaker 18: gonna fully detonate, it's gonna run like crap.
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: Well, well, thank you, buddy, I appreciate that. The problem
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: was I wasn't having any of those issues before, and
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: I used the scene like the lower you know, the
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: cheapest gas. And I never had issues until just this
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: past week when I thought it for the first time,
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: and then an accompanying story came out about them putting
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: fifteen percent ethanol gas out right now. And I don't
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: know if they're supposed to warn you of that. I
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: know some pumps actually can you can you can use
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: that that'll even offer the e eighty five gas. Yeah,
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: I'm not spending five eight al and gas for a
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: old pickup truck with no no tailgate. That's not happened.
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: It's I think I have enough fries under my seat
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: to It's a full order of fries by now. If
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: you squeeze the oil out of them, you can extract
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: the oil out of those fries. I hate that. I
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: don't care about that stuff. I really My my wife's
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: car looks like it I me and my buddy Daniel Dennis.
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: His vehicle looks like you bought it yesterday and then
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: somebody drove it home for him and then pulled the
- 1:44:56Speaker 2: plastic off. I'm telling you, man, it's like it's brand new,
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: and my truck looks like you live in it. It
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: is terrible shame, right seven seven zero three one. Welcome
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: back on Jim. There's dead. Hello Jack is here as well.
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: Shame shame James, Jack. What's in the old Jackie sack?

- 1:45:27Speaker 2: had a fantastic show there today. Yes, run with the Gators.
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: Saw Savannah and Angel and a water trough throwing hot
- 1:45:35Speaker 4: dogs this morning a.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: Movie and getting hot dogs thrown at them exactly. It
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: was bizarre. Anyway, tickets to Gator Land are up for grabs.

- 1:47:15Speaker 2: those is not an actual adult film title? Let's try
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: number two. That's the one. An What made you guess
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: that one? Buddy? That's great, that's so. That's so The
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: Crack of Dawn d A w N The Girl Oh man,
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: I thought that was great. That just means he's seen
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: a lot. That's right, buddy, all right, you're a winnern
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: mad because have you found it? I mean, it is

- 1:47:45Speaker 4: Erry Canal, you're telling me that's real? Talk to me
- 1:47:49Speaker 4: about the cover on that.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: No, it's a close up and it's bad close. Yeah, dude,
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: these people don't care. It's a terrible It is terrible.

- 1:48:05Speaker 2: of it's bad some of it, you know what I mean.
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: I mean there's a market for some of.
- 1:48:08Speaker 4: It, including airy Kanal apparently the crack of Dawn.
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: That is a mess, not even real. Heavy handfuls that
- 1:48:17Speaker 2: actually is. I thought that was something else because again
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: I just look at the names of them. I don't
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: look up as much as possible, and I looked up
- 1:48:23Speaker 2: at this one and that's a boob movie. Oh.
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: I was wondering with the heavy handfuls. I wasn't sure
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: what we're holding.
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: Hand solo is obvious. I mean it's u is it?
- 1:48:32Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: You sure you can't describe O? It's hand ye solo,
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: hand solo, not han solo. Well maybe if you're European
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: hand solo and the one that didn't make the cut,
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: it's only like so sorry, this was a tough one
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: this week, guys. I'm gonna tell you. I mean, after
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: a while, I was like, God, I just can't do
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: it anymore. I just can't look at it as anymore.
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: It's like anyway, it's ass worship. Oh keep in mind,
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: ninety five degrees must feel like one hundred and five.
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: You're out there construction workers roofers, and Jimmy's complaining how
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: he can't do.
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: His job anymore looking at porn, looking at porn, looking
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: at porn.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: I know how it sounds, but I'm telling you, man,
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: when you look at some of this stuff. Look, I'm
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: not talking about oh I just glanced at that one
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: side of the my dad's old video store. You have
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: to do deep research. Yeah, yo, I'm not saying we're
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: going through that beaded that beaded curtain to get to
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: the back room with that one video store. And there's
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: like ten choices. We're talking tens of thousands of videos.
- 1:49:39Speaker 4: And it sounds like our winner has seen most of them.
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: He guessed it immediately, he did. He's like crack at
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: dawn because I know Don is her. Somebody did textas
- 1:49:47Speaker 4: and say they used to have an ex girlfriend named
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: Don and I used to say that I would wake
- 1:49:52Speaker 4: up to the crack of dawn.
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: Oh yeah, apparently it's an old joke. Okay, well I
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: did not know that. I did not know that either.
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: Somebody turned it into a movie. They were disrespectful to Dawn,
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: all right for a seven night when sick Dawn was
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: disrespecting yourself a lot? Alright, seven seven what do you mean? Well, well,
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: Bill's gotta be paid easy. Now you be on that.
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: They're gonna pay themselves. You're gonna be on Big T's
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: as lonely fans, all right? For a seven four one
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: textas seven seven zero three one. Welcome back, say welcome back.
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: Take a little break, Ma, Gona secon one more than
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: Jim Coward Show. I don't know what hell going on.
- 1:50:37Speaker 8: You're listening to the Jim Colbert Show.
- 1:50:52Speaker 22: Hey there, Jimmy, don't you dare take pick the poor
- 1:50:54Speaker 22: now off on Friday?
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: Script?
- 1:50:56Speaker 22: What you think is just a little skit for some
- 1:50:57Speaker 22: of us. That's called our playlist for the weekend. Some
- 1:51:00Speaker 22: single men out here that we just are done. And
- 1:51:03Speaker 22: for the record, that ass worship comment.
- 1:51:05Speaker 8: That's video too.
- 1:51:08Speaker 22: Figure boy, It's gonna be a great weekend. Thank you
- 1:51:10Speaker 22: for all the different videos. It's gonna be amazing weekend.
- 1:51:14Speaker 22: Just don't shake my hand on Monday.
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: That's okay, hand so love. That's so terrible, Okay, so terrifying.
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: When we get talk back, sometimes the audio quality isn't
- 1:51:21Speaker 2: quite there. It's tough, but I really wanted you to
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: hear this one. And we turned out to music and
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: take a listen. This came through fifteen minutes ago, right
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: before we played Pick the Porn. Hello, my name is
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: Dawson and.
- 1:51:38Speaker 14: I'm ten years old, half with my dad going to
- 1:51:40Speaker 14: the Key Center to watch we go and I hope
- 1:51:45Speaker 14: you have.
- 1:51:45Speaker 8: A great weekend.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: Can he say his name is Dawson. Yeah, so Dawson.
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: We hope you and your dad have a great time.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: It's a weird al concert at the Keyasenter. Hope you
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: enjoyed Pick the Porn.
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: Jimmy apologizes for that awesome.
- 1:52:03Speaker 2: The first three letters of his name or I know.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: I'm sure they're laughing about it in the car right now.
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure his dad jumped to the radio novel
- 1:52:13Speaker 2: as if it was somebody holding a gun on him.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in to the Jim Kolber Show,
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: Roll Radio one O four point one on Jim, there's
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: dead Jack is here.
- 1:52:21Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: We'll do eight minute update in a few minutes with
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: our buddy Jayden Grimes. It was out of here last week,
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: but we'll get caught up on what's going out there.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: I think there's some gaming news up there as well.
- 1:52:29Speaker 4: Good maybe GTA six is finally being released.
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: Oh no, no, stop teasing dad. Don't listen to her, folks.
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: And by the way, Emily will be in on Monday
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: for a movie for you. And I think I'm taking
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: my wife to see Obsession this weekend in the theaters.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: Like everybody's going crazy about the movie Obsession, and I
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: want to go check it out. My daughter, who doesn't
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: have rarely has an interested in the movies or television,
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: wants to see Obsession. And basically because of this twenty
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: six year old movie that the director, Yeah, yeah, that's it. Yeah,
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: And I believe Emily might not be here this Monday.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: She's not, She's next Monday, You're right, Yeah, And then
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: I guess that other movie back Room, oh yeah, is
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: starting to take off as well. It was made by
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: a YouTuber. This guy's like even younger than twenty I believe,
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: twenty six, I believe, And I think it got panned
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: as far as a as far as a review, but
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: I don't know that that matters anymore with these meme
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: power powered movies.
- 1:53:22Speaker 4: It's already made ten point six million at the box office.
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: The thing is is like when you have something that
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: the when and I think that maybe the next wave
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: of movie making, Like you see something that goes super
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: viral online, you know, go make a ten million dollar
- 1:53:35Speaker 2: movie about it. I mean, you're gonna make money, people are.
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: It's like that slender Man thing. It may have not
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: made a ton of money, but I mean if it
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: didn't cost anything to make it, and it has a
- 1:53:42Speaker 2: built in viral marketing program already that you haven't spent
- 1:53:45Speaker 2: a nickel on. You're just using the name back room
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: as a movie, and you make a movie, it's gonna
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: automatically hit. I can't imagine how much it can cost
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: to make a movie where it's just a giant room
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: with a bunch of doors.
- 1:53:56Speaker 4: And again, it's that a twenty four Yeah, flickering lights
- 1:54:00Speaker 4: that movie house that everyone, uh do you guys.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: Ever freak out like like as as like the way
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: that entertainment is progressing, and how it like I don't
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: have a connection with a movie like back Room because
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: I don't, like, I'm not online at eleven twelve years old,
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: you know, getting drug into these you know, Slenderman esque
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: kind of viral horror things. But it's just kind of wild.
- 1:54:23Speaker 2: How that is, right? What do you mean I'm not
- 1:54:26Speaker 2: relating to it? Meme me turned into a movie, dude? Yeah,
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: like it's not. You know, look, here's the thing. You
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: can say, Well, didn't they take your comic book heroes
- 1:54:34Speaker 2: and tournament in the movies? Yeah they did. You're right.
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: So I think it's just the next iteration of how
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: people are being entertained and they're taking that. People who
- 1:54:42Speaker 2: own these studios are going, oh, we have built in
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: marketing here. We don't have to spend any money on
- 1:54:47Speaker 2: because all we have to do is name the movie
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: after the after the meme or the video and people
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: will come see it. Because that's usually half the total
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: costs is the marketing money as well. But at least
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: it's an original idea because when they keep doing the
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: these remakes or you know, reimaginations of these movies, people
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: are like, can't they think anything new? Well, you know,
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: whether whatever the inspiration is, whether it's based off a
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: meme or something else. Yeah, you you already have people
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: familiar with the idea, so now you just have to
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: get them to spend the I don't know, what does
- 1:55:22Speaker 2: it cost three hundred dollars to go to the movies?
- 1:55:24Speaker 14: Now?
- 1:55:25Speaker 9: Oh?
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: Yeah? That about it. The other thing too, is, man,
- 1:55:27Speaker 2: if I was a quote movie star, I don't I mean,
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: I think I'd be invested in my money, Like I
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: gotta tell you, man. Like the other thing about this
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: generation of kids that watch movies, they don't care who's
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: in it, Like these movies that are coming out that
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: are making all this money, like they're like, we were
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: just talking about this with Emily the other day. There's
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: nobody in this movie that you really know, no named actors,
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: no big name to draw you to the to the movie,
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: because they're not marketing like that, they're using the idea
- 1:55:54Speaker 2: to market it.
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: Well.
- 1:55:54Speaker 4: It's interesting though, because when you when you think about that,
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: who are the penultimate actors for the gen Z generation?
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: I would I mean Zendaya or is Zindaya? Is it
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: Tom Holland and guys like that. I mean those guys
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: now are still in their mid thirties. I mean, who's
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: younger than the chal and Timothy Shallomey. Look, I'm telling you,
- 1:56:17Speaker 2: when you watch these award shows, I know like five
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: people now. And it's not because I'm not tuned in.
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: I read every day about the entertainment industry. But the
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: problem is is like I don't read that part of
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: the entertainment industry because I'm not eighteen years old or
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: sixteen years old looking to be entertained. There you have it.
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: Yeah, this is when the award shows hurt more than
- 1:56:36Speaker 4: they how.
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: And if I had a movie studio, I'd be putting
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: a foresell sign in the front of that bitch on
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: a second man, because I mean, these streaming companies are
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: able to just capitalize on this stuff so immediately. They
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: don't have to go throw all the red tape of
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: getting approvals or greenlit. You know, they just go to
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: the boss at Netflix and it's like that looks good.
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: Make it for two and a half million dollars to
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: see what happens, or crowdsource it, right, or crowdsource it,
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: get it out there.
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: I mean, when you think about it, Blair which was
- 1:56:58Speaker 4: really the uh yeah, the one the forefront of that.
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: It really was.
- 1:57:02Speaker 4: And I think they're planning a new Blair Witch project actual.
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: But even the movie Halloween, the original Halloween made in
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: the seventies, that movie was made on a shoe string
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: budget and made tons of money because again, it was
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: just kind of low fi and authentic. And I think
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: that's what kids now are kind of looking for, just
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: something kind of low fi. I don't want to see
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: all the CGI authentic.
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: This is the anti AI generation really is, so anything
- 1:57:24Speaker 4: that will take them away from it, even the flicker
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: of it being AI, I could see, would be appealing
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: to that generation.
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: Yeah, they do not care for it. Man, there's another
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: college or another college commencement speech that was given by
- 1:57:38Speaker 2: another like by a man and he brought up the
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: AI thing, and man, he got booting and I guess
- 1:57:43Speaker 2: it didn't advance just say something about that, and yeah
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: that was to the academy. But you know, they're just booing.
- 1:57:48Speaker 2: They don't like it. They don't like the idea of
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: losing their job to AI or having to deal with
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: something that isn't reality, which is wild. I mean, you
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: think they'd be embracing it more than anybody not that generation.
- 1:57:59Speaker 4: In fact, a lot of reels I've been seeing on
- 1:58:01Speaker 4: Instagram as young people talking about Pope Leo's in cyclical
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: that he released this week, the first of his papacy.
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: Right, yeah, that took on AI. Yes, people are like,
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: well saying it needs to be heavily regulated or taken
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: care of.
- 1:58:14Speaker 4: But I'm a Catholic, and then you can tell your
- 1:58:16Speaker 4: workplace that by you know, for religious reasons, you can't
- 1:58:19Speaker 4: use AI.
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: Oh interestinking all right? Seven to seven zero three? When
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: did you guys hear about the nineteen year old UK
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: lottery winner?
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: No?
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: So this kid nineteen years old, he's in England, he
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: wins the lottery. Now I think it's four million pounds,
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: So what is that? Now? It pounds almost one to
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: one now again, isn't it? I don't believe so well,
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: it pounds a little hotter hotter yeah yeah, hotter yea
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: yeahah yeah. There for a minute, that was pretty close,
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: wasn't it. I was almost double a while back. It
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: was I was into where we even got closed. So
- 1:58:48Speaker 2: what's four four million pounds is like, what four and
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: a half million dollars? Maybe five? Oh, I would say
- 1:58:52Speaker 2: closer to six closer to six million? You think is
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: it really that much? Potentially? Yeah? Wow? Really?
- 1:58:57Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: Let me see the exchange. Five point four million dollars.
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: It says it right there in parentheses. I didn't look
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: thet in the next paragraph had said it. I didn't
- 1:59:04Speaker 2: even see that. I was looking at the first paragraph.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: We aren't correct. Five point four million dollars? Now, why
- 1:59:09Speaker 2: is that a big deal? He's nineteen years old.
- 1:59:12Speaker 4: Because he doesn't know a thing about what to do
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: with it, so he spent it on something stupid.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: That is exactly what I would have guessed. That's not
- 1:59:18Speaker 2: the case. What do you think makes this so special? Jack?
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: Why is this a story?
- 1:59:22Speaker 7: He spent it?
- 1:59:23Speaker 2: Well, he got paid in crypto. He is not giving
- 1:59:25Speaker 2: his parents a nickel?
- 1:59:27Speaker 18: Oh what?
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: While he lives at home and his parents were a
- 1:59:32Speaker 2: little forward on this. I'm gonna be honest with you, Like,
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: if one of my kids won the lottery, I wouldn't
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: say a word to them about getting any of the money.
- 1:59:39Speaker 2: I would just say, look, you know, if you feel
- 1:59:42Speaker 2: that I gave you a good enough childhood where you
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: wanted to reward me for doing such a wonderful job
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: as the best dad ever.
- 1:59:49Speaker 4: Wow, it sounds like you're applying for a job there
- 1:59:51Speaker 4: for a second. Shouldn't you just put the plate of
- 1:59:54Speaker 4: food down on the table and then snatch it away
- 1:59:56Speaker 4: before he can put a fork in it.
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: That's a great idea, you know.
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: Oh, that's disturbing to me. That is so disturbing to me.
- 2:00:03Speaker 4: There was a Reddit post recently of a woman who
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: said that he's just helping her daughter pay for her
- 2:00:07Speaker 4: cell phone bill an apartment and talked about retirement, and
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: the girl said, well, I hope you're not expecting me
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: to help. And then mom was like what, and the
- 2:00:14Speaker 4: daughter's like, listen, I didn't ask to be born.
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: Oh my god, almighty. I had a kid that I had,
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: one of my kids that went through that phase.
- 2:00:20Speaker 4: I didn't ask to be born, So don't ask me
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: to take care of you when you get old. As
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: she's paying for her cell phone bill, I.
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: Had a kid who went through that phase. And let
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: me tell you, I smacked that phase right out of here. Yeah.
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: We got rid of that phase in a hurry. Jesus wise. Wow, Yeah, Yeah, yeah, God, Hey,
- 2:00:38Speaker 2: the balls to say that to me, are you out
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: of your damn mind?
- 2:00:40Speaker 4: Well, and this kid winning almost six million dollars and
- 2:00:43Speaker 4: he's not going to give his parents a dime while
- 2:00:45Speaker 4: he's living at home.
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: No, no, here's the thing. The parents were a little
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: for The parents kind of said, we think you should
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: give us half of that. The parents said we should
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: give you. You should give us half of that. Now,
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: he'd planned to give them seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds,
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: which is a million dollars, is a thank you because
- 2:01:02Speaker 2: they have their own savings. EVE been around for a while,
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: their mortgage was already paid off. And when we when
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: he proposed that, they called him selfish.
- 2:01:09Speaker 4: Oh okay, yeah yeah this one's parents yeah.
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. He he didn't try and freeze
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: him out. He gave them. He planned to give them
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: a nice sum of money, and it wasn't good enough
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: for them. Yeah yeah yeah. And then somebody done here
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: said to hear that I wanted two point four million
- 2:01:30Speaker 2: on a scratch off. But instead of celebrating, I decided
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: to test my family first. For years, I'd been everyone's
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: emergency atm car repairs, rent tuition, and medical bills. So
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: before telling anyone about the money, I pretended I'd lost
- 2:01:42Speaker 2: my warehouse job and then went on to, uh, you know,
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: talk about that. My sister stopped invinding me to family dinners.
- 2:01:48Speaker 2: My brother suddenly got too busy to answer my calls.
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: In other words, when when they when he stopped giving
- 2:01:53Speaker 2: up the money when they were asking for it, everybody
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: all of a sudden changed their attitude toward him. To
- 2:01:59Speaker 2: fix that. Tell you, we used to play the lottery
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: a little bit, and I would always we had this
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: kind of rule thing, like, you know, this is how
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: much each person in the family is gonna get, and
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: I would let them know immediately, like if I won
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: something like I think it was three hundred something million
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: a couple of weeks ago. And if I won money
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: like that, I would go to each one of my
- 2:02:15Speaker 2: family members and say, hey, look I came into some money,
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: and this is what I want to do for you.
- 2:02:22Speaker 2: And then I would do that for them, and then
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: like the extended family, maybe pay off their mortgage, give
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: them a little bit of money to you know, pay
- 2:02:29Speaker 2: off their bills, pay them clean, and then let their
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: own a vacation and then let them move on their
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: own immediate family a little bit more. Obviously, you do
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: that same thing and then give them a bigger nest
- 2:02:38Speaker 2: egg so they can enjoy their life. Biggest piece goes
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: to your coworkers. Yeah, the biggest piece goes to the coworkers.
- 2:02:43Speaker 2: Smart jat like Sea Lane and guys like that. Whoa, whoa.
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: He doesn't even like you. I'm sure he does, maybe
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: kind of, I'm certain of it.
- 2:02:52Speaker 4: Maybe hang in a second, let me schedule showing out
- 2:02:54Speaker 4: how to post the podcast before we get.
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: Out of here today. All right, nine one again, you
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: can always text us at seven seven zero three one.
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: We'll break back in a second with eight bit updating
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: our buddy Jayden Grimes. We'll do that right after this,
- 2:03:10Speaker 2: you know.
- 2:03:11Speaker 23: Getting back to that warning about the parts and blue
- 2:03:14Speaker 23: Horizon explosions, it sounds to me like they don't want
- 2:03:17Speaker 23: anybody picking it up and selling it online. I mean,
- 2:03:21Speaker 23: if it was that dangerous that you couldn't touch it,
- 2:03:23Speaker 23: why why don't you shut down the beach? Somebody's gonna
- 2:03:27Speaker 23: step on it, some fish are gonna swallow its crew.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 2:03:34Speaker 1: Must ring mellow.
- 2:03:36Speaker 11: Last segment was funny because I can relate because I'm
- 2:03:40Speaker 11: an English teacher, and these kids, even the easiest sports
- 2:03:43Speaker 11: are difficult to spell. The word that I can think
- 2:03:47Speaker 11: of that I still have trouble spelling is coincidence. Yeah,
- 2:03:51Speaker 11: that one is a little bit confusing and all that.
- 2:03:53Speaker 11: And also any word that starts with it ps y,
- 2:03:57Speaker 11: like psychic or psychology.
- 2:04:00Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 2:04:00Speaker 8: Have a great weekend.
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: Thanks much, appreciate that very much. Coincidence is a tough one.
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: Convenient sometimes can be into Yeah, yeah, all right. Welcome
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: back to the Jim Colbert Show, Real Radio one four
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: point one. Thanks for tuning in. We hope you guys
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: have a big weekend plan. So it's feel soaky out
- 2:04:14Speaker 2: there this weekend. Some rain coming through, so make your
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: plans accordingly. I'm Jim. There's Deb Hello, check his ear
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: as well. Yeah, I see a mop headed, sweatsuited young
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: man in the studio. That must be time to do
- 2:04:30Speaker 2: eight bit update.
- 2:04:32Speaker 8: It's game time on Real Radio.
- 2:04:34Speaker 2: Ready for the.
- 2:04:37Speaker 8: Your quick hit on gaming news, reviews and.
- 2:04:39Speaker 1: A little chaos as Pop Pomp tries gaming A bit
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: update with Jayden starts.
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: Now, JG in the house. What's up, big dog?
- 2:04:52Speaker 13: It might look like a sweatsuit to you, but let
- 2:04:54Speaker 13: me tell you my studio. It's below zero, dude.
- 2:04:57Speaker 2: This this building is like, uh, I don't know what's
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: going on. It's bipolar. Yeah, I know. This studio. We
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: have the door propped open.
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: Because it's so hot in here.
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: It's very warm in the studio. You walk out this
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: door and down toward where Jade Studio is, the temperature
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: drops eighteen degrees and if I'm lying, I'm dying. No, seriously,
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: it is sixty five degrees on that side of the building,
- 2:05:18Speaker 2: in like eighty five over here.
- 2:05:19Speaker 13: I maybe wore a T shirt twice to work. Ever, dude,
- 2:05:22Speaker 13: I have to wear a hoodie every day. It is
- 2:05:24Speaker 13: freezing on my side.
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: And actually even worse. The lobby out front of your
- 2:05:27Speaker 2: studio was cold, but your production room in general is cold.
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: It's colder in the studio. Yo, it's dude, no joke.
- 2:05:33Speaker 13: It's probably about like sixty five sixty four in that studio,
- 2:05:37Speaker 13: and I go and go over to the other one.
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: And it's seventy. It feels amazing. It's crazy. You'll walk
- 2:05:41Speaker 2: out of here, You'll be sweating by the time you
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: get the men's bathroom. You're like, God is a sweater
- 2:05:45Speaker 2: and then you get back here and you're like, burn
- 2:05:47Speaker 2: it up again. I love it in here.
- 2:05:48Speaker 13: So what's going on, buddy. How's your week? My week's
- 2:05:51Speaker 13: been good. I had a short week, you know my week.
- 2:05:53Speaker 13: More of your day was Monday, so it's really thrown
- 2:05:55Speaker 13: me off. I forgot today was Friday.
- 2:05:57Speaker 2: The one thing we didn't talk to you about is
- 2:05:59Speaker 2: when you went up did you do a trip up
- 2:06:01Speaker 2: to New York or Boston? Boston?
- 2:06:03Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 2:06:03Speaker 2: How was your trip?
- 2:06:04Speaker 19: Dude?
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: It was amazing. I love Boston.
- 2:06:06Speaker 13: I love being able to see like trees and not
- 2:06:09Speaker 13: apartment complexes everywhere, Like, it's amazing. There's actually land up there.
- 2:06:13Speaker 13: That's my favorite part about Boston. I did trails and everything.
- 2:06:16Speaker 2: Do you have a connection to that area. Yeah.
- 2:06:17Speaker 13: My brother moved up there about ten years ago. Yeah,
- 2:06:20Speaker 13: he was just kind of sick of Florida, got a
- 2:06:22Speaker 13: job offer up there. He was like, yeah, I'll take it,
- 2:06:23Speaker 13: and then just made a life up there.
- 2:06:25Speaker 2: So a little bit. Yeah.
- 2:06:26Speaker 13: My tattoo artist is up there. I went to a
- 2:06:28Speaker 13: Wage Wars show, one of my favorite metal bands. We
- 2:06:31Speaker 13: usually my vacations up there revolve around a concert in tattoos,
- 2:06:35Speaker 13: so it was time to get a new tattoo, and
- 2:06:36Speaker 13: there was a show.
- 2:06:39Speaker 6: I have.
- 2:06:39Speaker 2: I'm working on my graveyard sleeve right now.
- 2:06:41Speaker 13: I wear a hoodie so you can never see it,
- 2:06:42Speaker 13: but I have a half sleeve on the top of
- 2:06:44Speaker 13: my arm, and I just got a witch from Leftwood
- 2:06:47Speaker 13: Dead two onto it. I got a tombstone with like
- 2:06:50Speaker 13: a zombie hand with the rock signed because I have
- 2:06:52Speaker 13: a rock band of skeletons playing in my graveyard.
- 2:06:55Speaker 2: And then I got this really cool ghost on the
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: back of my shoulders.
- 2:06:58Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 2:06:58Speaker 2: So yeah, just making art on my arm, I guess
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: out of curiosity. I mean, do you you? I mean,
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: how old are you? Twenty one? So you're twenty one
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: years old?
- 2:07:06Speaker 6: Do you you?
- 2:07:06Speaker 11: I mean.
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: It's so funny because my buddy Daniel Dennis from Tom
- 2:07:09Speaker 2: and Dan, he started doing the tattoo thing when we
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: were working together the Monsters, and I used to because
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: he has him on his knuckles and stuff. And I
- 2:07:16Speaker 2: used to ask me, like, Daniel, do you ever worry
- 2:07:18Speaker 2: about like what effect that'll have on your job search?
- 2:07:22Speaker 2: And he looked at me and said, shut up, old man. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:07:26Speaker 2: he goes, He goes, You're you're a way out of date.
- 2:07:29Speaker 2: Nobody doesn't get a job down because they have a tattoo.
- 2:07:31Speaker 2: If you have the skill set, you're gonna get the job.
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: You don't know what you're talking about. And we did
- 2:07:36Speaker 2: turn that into a massive topic because and to be
- 2:07:39Speaker 2: honest with you, my comment was out of like love
- 2:07:41Speaker 2: for him, because I love him. They're two of my
- 2:07:43Speaker 2: favorite people in Planet Earth. And I was like worried,
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: like it was his dad. I was like, man, are
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: you sure about this? We're gonna fire you. Do you
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: ever put any thought and stuff like that? Absolutely haircut?
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, look at the hair. I mean that
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: might give it away. But we're in the entertainment business.
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: I mean, obviously you can get away with a lot
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: more on this. But you know, I mean radios were
- 2:08:00Speaker 2: those jobs. You have no idea it's gonna be here
- 2:08:01Speaker 2: tomorrow afternoon.
- 2:08:02Speaker 13: Well, it extends over to my public's job. I work
- 2:08:04Speaker 13: at publics as well. They don't like the nose piercings.
- 2:08:06Speaker 13: Sometimes I have to hide them depending who's in the building.
- 2:08:09Speaker 13: But my manager has face tattoos, So when I look
- 2:08:12Speaker 13: at that, I'm like, I can get a tattoo anywhere.
- 2:08:14Speaker 2: It doesn't even matter. When your public's manager has a
- 2:08:16Speaker 2: face tat. You're the best publics ever. Yeah, dude, one
- 2:08:19Speaker 2: on the right side, one on the left side.
- 2:08:21Speaker 13: I might have pointed at the wrong side when I
- 2:08:23Speaker 13: said that, but yeah, you know, don't know my left
- 2:08:24Speaker 13: and rights.
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: Yeah, tear drop face tats are good. The spider web right, yea.
- 2:08:30Speaker 13: The spider web on the elbows a little too much.
- 2:08:31Speaker 13: I got close to my elbow and that witch tattoo.
- 2:08:34Speaker 13: I want to cry, dude, it hurts. Oh yeah, I've
- 2:08:36Speaker 13: never had I genuinely never like had pain during a tattoo,
- 2:08:39Speaker 13: and then they touched my elbow and I'm really don't
- 2:08:42Speaker 13: want to cry.
- 2:08:43Speaker 2: I've heard the worst is the top of your foot
- 2:08:45Speaker 2: or your rib cage. I hear the absolutely it's excruciating.
- 2:08:48Speaker 13: Oh the ribcage for sure. The top of your foot,
- 2:08:49Speaker 13: I can imagine. I've won on my leg and it
- 2:08:51Speaker 13: was the worst pain ever. But let's talk some kids.
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: Okay, let's do that, right, But I don't ask you
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: one more question. Let's do do you do the sedation thing?
- 2:08:57Speaker 2: Because don't Okay, easy, now, I mean is that like,
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: is that a bad thing? Because people get sedated when
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: they do this? Now sometimes well, well, the big pieces
- 2:09:05Speaker 2: I guess.
- 2:09:06Speaker 13: Yeah, there's two forms of it. You can do the
- 2:09:07Speaker 13: numbing cream, which I am thinking about. I am doing
- 2:09:10Speaker 13: thinking about the numbing cream for my elbow, but because
- 2:09:12Speaker 13: I don't want to do the numbing cream. Is it's
- 2:09:14Speaker 13: different for everybody. It could last thirty seconds or it
- 2:09:16Speaker 13: could last two hours. Yeah, and if it lasts thirty seconds,
- 2:09:18Speaker 13: I'm just gonna get jolted into this crazy pain on
- 2:09:21Speaker 13: my elbow. So I might as well just take it
- 2:09:23Speaker 13: for a minute or two and go numb. The anesthesia
- 2:09:26Speaker 13: where you get put under a sleep that can kill you.
- 2:09:28Speaker 13: I don't know why anybody would do that for a tattooed. Seriously,
- 2:09:32Speaker 13: I asked my tattoo. I was like, have you ever
- 2:09:33Speaker 13: even thought about doing that? And she was like, no,
- 2:09:36Speaker 13: I will go to jail for murder. And I was
- 2:09:37Speaker 13: just like, all right, all right, what do you have first?
- 2:09:40Speaker 2: In gaming? This week?
- 2:09:41Speaker 13: Every time I come here, I feel like I tell
- 2:09:42Speaker 13: you guys, prices have risen, Prices continue to rise. The
- 2:09:46Speaker 13: Steam deck has now risen. The five hundred and twelve
- 2:09:49Speaker 13: gigabyte one used to be five hundred and forty nine dollars.
- 2:09:52Speaker 2: You want to take a guess how much that one
- 2:09:54Speaker 2: is six six twenty nine now seven hundred and eighty
- 2:09:59Speaker 2: nine dollars.
- 2:10:00Speaker 13: Oh yeah, whoa dude, Yeah yeah, for a handheld, handheld
- 2:10:06Speaker 13: portable gaming machine, which by the way, you can't play
- 2:10:08Speaker 13: a lot of games on it. But yeah, that's a
- 2:10:10Speaker 13: fifty increase in price. Yeah, that's a big two hundred
- 2:10:13Speaker 13: and forty dollars increase. And then you go over to
- 2:10:15Speaker 13: the one terabyte storage on the Steam deck, all right,
- 2:10:18Speaker 13: used to be six hundred and forty nine dollars.
- 2:10:20Speaker 2: You want to take it, it's gonna be one thousand
- 2:10:22Speaker 2: and fifty dollars.
- 2:10:23Speaker 13: You're going a little over, but you're not too far off.
- 2:10:26Speaker 13: Nine hundred and forty nine dollars. Yeah, that's ridiculous.
- 2:10:28Speaker 9: Dude.
- 2:10:29Speaker 13: My Xbox. Now this was at release. They're probably a
- 2:10:32Speaker 13: little more now. I p it's five hundred dollars on
- 2:10:34Speaker 13: an Xbox.
- 2:10:35Speaker 2: That's what amazes me, the Xbox. The PS five that
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: came out at five hundred for the higher end ones
- 2:10:42Speaker 2: are now have shot up a couple hundred and what
- 2:10:45Speaker 2: it's because of the micro chips. Yeah, yeah, the chips.
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: But you know again, I will say this over and
- 2:10:50Speaker 2: over and over again. Even at five or six or
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: seven hundred dollars. The entertainment that that console will give
- 2:10:56Speaker 2: you far exceeds at price. Let me give you an example.
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: If I were to go by a set of golf
- 2:11:00Speaker 2: clubs right now. Irons right now, they're seventeen hundred dollars
- 2:11:04Speaker 2: for premium irons. And that's just the irons. That's not
- 2:11:07Speaker 2: golf balls, that's on a bag, that's on drivers, that's
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: on a putter. It's just the irons. But the whole
- 2:11:12Speaker 2: idea is I could use those for fifteen years if
- 2:11:14Speaker 2: I wanted to. So, I think it's the same kind
- 2:11:16Speaker 2: of thing you guys get freed that on price.
- 2:11:18Speaker 13: Now with the handheld, it's so differently, I promise you
- 2:11:21Speaker 13: it's different, all right.
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: Hands it doesn't have the shelf life.
- 2:11:24Speaker 13: I don't think it does because it doesn't have the
- 2:11:25Speaker 13: software that a Xbox Series X would have. It's so
- 2:11:29Speaker 13: much spoiler and you got to impact into this little
- 2:11:31Speaker 13: portable device. I mean, look, you buy the Xbox Series
- 2:11:35Speaker 13: X with the two terabyte hard drive, that's seven hundred
- 2:11:37Speaker 13: and ninety nine dollars. That's pretty much the same price
- 2:11:40Speaker 13: as the lower version of the Steam Deck. Why would
- 2:11:44Speaker 13: you not just get a better console. I guess so,
- 2:11:46Speaker 13: I feel like that only shoots yourself in the foot
- 2:11:48Speaker 13: when you're these portable gaming markets.
- 2:11:51Speaker 2: I don't know that's the thing. Now. Ross brought his
- 2:11:53Speaker 2: out the other day. Is it the switch? Is that
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: what I switched? Yeah? Holy man, I never even saw
- 2:11:58Speaker 2: that thing. He brought it out the other day when
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: he was at the end of the day to show me,
- 2:12:01Speaker 2: and I was like, damn, dude, that thing's crazy. Oh
- 2:12:04Speaker 2: they're awesome. That things bananas. It is really amazing.
- 2:12:07Speaker 13: Now worth nine hundred and fifty dollars amazing. I'll tell
- 2:12:09Speaker 13: you that, dude. James Bond has a new video game
- 2:12:13Speaker 13: coming out. I've never been to Super Big James Bond Guide.
- 2:12:16Speaker 13: I feel like that's straight up your alley right there.
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: As a kid, my dad and I used to get
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: into knockdown fights because the James Bond movies would come
- 2:12:24Speaker 2: on Sunday nights at like eight o'clock because they had
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: to because of the name and the women and stuff.
- 2:12:30Speaker 2: And my bedtime was nine. So I'd get halfway through
- 2:12:32Speaker 2: the movies and my dad be like bedtime and I've
- 2:12:34Speaker 2: all got I'd lose my damn mind. It was my
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: favorite thing. Ever, still to this day, I have a
- 2:12:38Speaker 2: big James Bond thing.
- 2:12:39Speaker 13: Dude, I think you would love this video game. It's
- 2:12:41Speaker 13: called Double O seven First Light came out just last week,
- 2:12:44Speaker 13: brand new video game. It has a nine out of
- 2:12:47Speaker 13: ten on Steam and IGN also gave it a nine
- 2:12:49Speaker 13: out of ten. Yeah, this has been told to me
- 2:12:52Speaker 13: by like the people on Twitter and everything, the people
- 2:12:54Speaker 13: I follow. This is one of the best James Bond
- 2:12:56Speaker 13: stories period.
- 2:12:57Speaker 2: That's rarely. It's interesting because they're actually looking for a
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: new Bond right now and that makes news about once
- 2:13:01Speaker 2: a week now of like who they think is gonna
- 2:13:03Speaker 2: be the next Bond? Interested? So do they use just
- 2:13:06Speaker 2: a do they use like a character that looks like uh?
- 2:13:11Speaker 13: I wouldn't say he looks like any of the James Bonds.
- 2:13:14Speaker 13: I would say he's more of just like a generic.
- 2:13:16Speaker 2: Guy James Bond. Cruise, Yeah, Tom Cruise with the he
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: has like the black slipover.
- 2:13:22Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 2:13:23Speaker 13: Yeah, I guess you could say he looks a little
- 2:13:24Speaker 13: like Tom Cruise version. Yeah, I guess you could say that.
- 2:13:27Speaker 13: The NBA has a new video game coming out, and
- 2:13:30Speaker 13: it's not the main line two K games. There's a
- 2:13:32Speaker 13: lot of new games coming out right now. It's called
- 2:13:35Speaker 13: NBA The Run and the open beta starts tomorrow six
- 2:13:39Speaker 13: a or at from ten am to six pm on
- 2:13:42Speaker 13: all consoles. You don't need a code, you can just
- 2:13:44Speaker 13: download it and play it. It looks like the old
- 2:13:46Speaker 13: NBA Street from PlayStation two, and it kind of has
- 2:13:48Speaker 13: like the same art style as NBA Playgrounds, so it
- 2:13:50Speaker 13: looks like a quick, like fun, little arcadie basketball game.
- 2:13:53Speaker 2: What's the most popular sports game? Is it still like Football?
- 2:13:57Speaker 2: Is it still Madden? Is that always the one? Because
- 2:13:58Speaker 2: I never heard anybody talking about it.
- 2:14:00Speaker 13: Might be FIFA's pretty huge, but honestly, I still think
- 2:14:04Speaker 13: it's two K that the NBA two K community is huge.
- 2:14:06Speaker 13: Every single year they buy it, they go play online,
- 2:14:09Speaker 13: they play the park. I for all the hate two
- 2:14:12Speaker 13: K gets, it has an insane player, but it.
- 2:14:15Speaker 2: Also has that culture backing it too, right because a
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: lot of players play that game, and I don't know
- 2:14:18Speaker 2: if that's the same with the with Mad Now. I
- 2:14:20Speaker 2: don't know how many football players play football video games.
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: We know for a fact that NBA players play the
- 2:14:26Speaker 2: hell out of that. Oh no, I completely agree with you,
- 2:14:28Speaker 2: and two K is very smart with how they do it.
- 2:14:30Speaker 13: If you're like an NBA player, or you're a music
- 2:14:32Speaker 13: artist or a YouTuber, they put it on your gamer tag.
- 2:14:35Speaker 13: They make sure you walk around and people know you're
- 2:14:37Speaker 13: in the NBA or you make music.
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: Or something like that. That's awesome.
- 2:14:40Speaker 13: Yeah, so it probably makes the celebrities feel a little like, oh,
- 2:14:42Speaker 13: I'm important, look at me.
- 2:14:43Speaker 2: So the undis remember this is worldwide. So the undisputed
- 2:14:47Speaker 2: heavyweight in sports gaming is EA sports FC, which is
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: formerly FIFA really didn't want to deal with the licensing,
- 2:14:54Speaker 2: so it's just the A sports FC football club. Right.
- 2:14:57Speaker 2: Number two the NBA two kse here there you go,
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: and number three is now Madden Is it really?
- 2:15:02Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 2:15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean FIFA actually has a bigger scope because
- 2:15:05Speaker 2: more countries play that sport than played just American football,
- 2:15:08Speaker 2: Oh for sure. And people gamble on FIFA.
- 2:15:10Speaker 13: I don't know if they still do, but back in
- 2:15:11Speaker 13: the day, people would gamble crazy on those FIFA Oh yeah, I'm.
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: Like pulling the cards and everything like that.
- 2:15:16Speaker 13: I'm sure it's still a thing, but I could see
- 2:15:18Speaker 13: the college football games taking over that Madden spot because
- 2:15:21Speaker 13: the college football games got me in a choke hold.
- 2:15:23Speaker 2: I love them. I call it. I I to talk
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: a lot of bad about Call of Duty, I really do.
- 2:15:30Speaker 2: I turned in super popular, isn't it.
- 2:15:32Speaker 13: Oh it's one of my first video games I ever played.
- 2:15:34Speaker 13: I love Call of Duty. I love the older Call
- 2:15:35Speaker 13: of Duty dude because they because they suck.
- 2:15:39Speaker 2: Because I caught myself due gets the rock star. Yeah,
- 2:15:46Speaker 2: I can't control his tongue.
- 2:15:47Speaker 13: No, I did control my tongue right there. It's because
- 2:15:50Speaker 13: it's because they suck, all right, They're really bad. The
- 2:15:52Speaker 13: most recent ones had not been good. They have a
- 2:15:54Speaker 13: shelf life of maybe two weeks. But Modern Warfare four
- 2:15:57Speaker 13: just got announced. The trailer came out and it looks
- 2:16:00Speaker 13: like real life. I need you to pull up this
- 2:16:02Speaker 13: trailer at some point today, and I need you just
- 2:16:04Speaker 13: look at these graphics.
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: I look like it looks like I'm looking at you
- 2:16:07Speaker 2: right now. It's so crazy to me.
- 2:16:09Speaker 13: And one of the reasons why they look so good
- 2:16:11Speaker 13: is it's one of the first newer games to just
- 2:16:14Speaker 13: stop support for the older consoles. It's not coming to
- 2:16:16Speaker 13: the PlayStation four, older order Xbox, so they can now
- 2:16:19Speaker 13: just really like, crank up these machines. Holy, that looks
- 2:16:23Speaker 13: like real life. Yeah, dude, that's crazy. That's real life.
- 2:16:29Speaker 13: That looks like video inside a tank as if it
- 2:16:32Speaker 13: like that looks like a documentary.
- 2:16:34Speaker 2: I looked at it yesterday and I was like, is
- 2:16:36Speaker 2: this in game?
- 2:16:37Speaker 12: What is this?
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: And yeah, that like it is.
- 2:16:39Speaker 4: They're showing it on the our YouTube channel right now.
- 2:16:41Speaker 2: Look at that, dude, real life. Yeah so crazy. I
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: know can and that's what these consoles can do. Man,
- 2:16:48Speaker 2: it's crazy.
- 2:16:49Speaker 14: You know that.
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: If you gamed, I do game, but I just play
- 2:16:52Speaker 2: kiddie games. Yeah, he likes a little cats. Okay, you
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: know what you decided that. Okay, he is a cat lover. Now,
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah he did tell me? Yeah did he really?
- 2:17:04Speaker 8: We talked about it on the show.
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: We didn't talk about anything like that. I don't talk
- 2:17:07Speaker 2: about cats on the show. This is a man show.
- 2:17:10Speaker 2: We talk about gas hangers. Let me grab my balls,
- 2:17:13Speaker 2: and tractors and cowboy hats. That's what we talk about here.
- 2:17:16Speaker 2: You talk about your cat, your cat, all's a cat.
- 2:17:20Speaker 2: It's not my cat. It's in the cat. It's a
- 2:17:21Speaker 2: random cat. Yeah, it's your grandson or granddaughter. I can't.
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: It's my daughter's cat. We're watching her because they just
- 2:17:27Speaker 2: had a kid, and the cat is you know. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: it's killed children. Yeah, it's it's all right, it's defense mechanism. Yeah,
- 2:17:34Speaker 2: that's that is crazy, buddy. So how do they get
- 2:17:37Speaker 2: Is it just the processor that makes it that much better?
- 2:17:39Speaker 2: Or is it how they make it in other games?
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: Are they using the same tech.
- 2:17:42Speaker 19: To do that?
- 2:17:43Speaker 13: I would imagine most games at this point are going
- 2:17:45Speaker 13: to start to look like that. Yeah, with technology just
- 2:17:47Speaker 13: getting better, it's it's just only bound to happen.
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: Now, what what resolution is that? I'm gonna all show
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: my real age? I mean I know that right now,
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: Like ten ADP is still the highest resolution you can
- 2:17:56Speaker 2: get for like a TV or is it four K
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: or what I'm eight K? I don't know.
- 2:18:00Speaker 13: You're also testing me here a little bit. I would
- 2:18:02Speaker 13: say that has to be above ten ADP. I'd say
- 2:18:04Speaker 13: it has to be in fourteen forty.
- 2:18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's four K. But the uh so,
- 2:18:09Speaker 2: some games, they can make them bigger, and they can
- 2:18:12Speaker 2: make them detail like that, they're more it's more costly, right,
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: you're talking. You are billions into investing in GTA six,
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: So everyone's expecting this to be top level. But some
- 2:18:24Speaker 2: games will just like they're like, well we can cut back.
- 2:18:27Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be graphically fantastic. They come in
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: at a lower price and they don't have to sell
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: as many, you know. So it's a different business model
- 2:18:36Speaker 2: of just getting a game out there, and if the
- 2:18:39Speaker 2: gameplay is right and people enjoy it, it can still
- 2:18:42Speaker 2: catch that way. What's the number one first part of
- 2:18:44Speaker 2: the shooter game right now?
- 2:18:45Speaker 13: Right now, I'd probably still say it's called duty, even
- 2:18:48Speaker 13: with the player drow and how bad it's got, I
- 2:18:51Speaker 13: really think it's called duty.
- 2:18:52Speaker 2: They just have dominated the market for fifteen plus years.
- 2:18:55Speaker 2: They just had the biggest brand out there for the
- 2:18:57Speaker 2: longest time.
- 2:18:57Speaker 13: Yeah, they have a movie game made about them right now.
- 2:19:00Speaker 13: They're even bringing modern warfare for to the switch to
- 2:19:03Speaker 13: This is the first Call of Duty game since back
- 2:19:05Speaker 13: Black Ops One that's been on a Nintendo like device.
- 2:19:09Speaker 2: This is It's funny. That's the last one I remember
- 2:19:11Speaker 2: is the Black Ops And when that hit I just
- 2:19:13Speaker 2: because again, when you read about the industry, you just
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: kind of learned the names. So I remember the Black
- 2:19:18Speaker 2: Ops one. How long ago was that? That came out?
- 2:19:20Speaker 2: When I was very careful about to say, when I
- 2:19:24Speaker 2: was a kid man, very care because you're twenty one now,
- 2:19:29Speaker 2: and from my perspective, you are still a child. Yeah,
- 2:19:32Speaker 2: but you know, I pay a car payment. I got
- 2:19:35Speaker 2: a little bit of adult in me. I got you.
- 2:19:40Speaker 13: Just just a little bit more. On Call of Duty
- 2:19:42Speaker 13: real quick they I thought this was really cool. I
- 2:19:45Speaker 13: saw this in one of the stories. So the Call
- 2:19:47Speaker 13: of Duty campaign takes place in North Korea, South Korea,
- 2:19:50Speaker 13: takes a place in a couple other locations, but mainly Korea,
- 2:19:54Speaker 13: and they watched real, like YouTube documentaries like people going
- 2:19:57Speaker 13: to Korea and everything like that, trying to get it perfect.
- 2:20:00Speaker 13: I thought that was the coolest story in the world
- 2:20:01Speaker 13: because you're watching YouTube documentaries as like real reliable sources.
- 2:20:05Speaker 13: Now that's awesome because ten years ago, do you think
- 2:20:07Speaker 13: we were doing it? No, they would have looked at
- 2:20:08Speaker 13: you like, are you stupid?
- 2:20:09Speaker 2: I just make it up? Yeah, So I'm I love that.
- 2:20:12Speaker 2: I think it's really cool.
- 2:20:13Speaker 13: And that shows you even the smaller YouTube creators do
- 2:20:16Speaker 13: a lot of work for all these companies.
- 2:20:17Speaker 2: And when does that drop? October twenty third, Oh wow,
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: so it's still quite a bit of way. Uh yeah
- 2:20:22Speaker 2: pre Christmas, yeah, right before pre Christmas.
- 2:20:24Speaker 13: But for games, honestly, that's a pretty small window for
- 2:20:28Speaker 13: I dropped my trailer, and now we dropped this video
- 2:20:30Speaker 13: game within four months. Most drop a trailer and you
- 2:20:32Speaker 13: hear nothing for two years.
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: No way, really did not know that. So GTA six
- 2:20:36Speaker 2: still on schedule. Yeah, yeah, actually so funny enough.
- 2:20:40Speaker 13: It was supposed to come out this week on the
- 2:20:42Speaker 13: twenty sixth, and then it got pushed back to November.
- 2:20:44Speaker 2: But we're still November. I just keep listening to these people.
- 2:20:48Speaker 2: They've done this to you fifteen times. They pushed it
- 2:20:50Speaker 2: back once, but this was the date it was supposed
- 2:20:53Speaker 2: to be out until they now it's it's been November.
- 2:20:56Speaker 2: We've known it's been November, but right now we are
- 2:20:59Speaker 2: at a point where it should have been real. It
- 2:21:02Speaker 2: breaks my heart. By the way, Black Ops first came
- 2:21:04Speaker 2: out in twenty ten. Game was five years old.
- 2:21:08Speaker 13: Boom playing Call Duty getting yelled at in everything. What
- 2:21:12Speaker 13: a great dad, What guys, my first video game is
- 2:21:15Speaker 13: granted thought of four. I mean it just gets better.
- 2:21:19Speaker 2: Good job, but get it up you always. I love it.
- 2:21:25Speaker 2: I love your bit, buddy. It's so good. You do
- 2:21:27Speaker 2: such a good job for us. I appreciate it so much.

- 2:21:31Speaker 2: Florida budget passes the legislature.

- 2:21:37Speaker 4: and Southwest reverses an unpopular passenger policy. We'll talk about
- 2:21:42Speaker 4: that next during it heard it here first, you got
- 2:21:44Speaker 4: a sing.
- 2:21:45Speaker 2: Little break, will come back and get dev's news. Get
- 2:21:46Speaker 2: the hell out of here on a Friday. I think
- 2:21:48Speaker 2: they should.
- 2:21:51Speaker 17: Spelling is like one of my most worst things.
- 2:21:54Speaker 2: I hate doing.
- 2:21:55Speaker 12: That's why I'm married up.
- 2:21:56Speaker 19: I married a very smart.
- 2:21:57Speaker 12: Woman who helps me spelled.
- 2:21:59Speaker 2: So I always felt people I don't want to spell,
- 2:22:01Speaker 2: but I married up on purpose.
- 2:22:03Speaker 12: Love the show cover grew.
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: Thank you, brother, appreciate that so much. Jimmy, I'm a
- 2:22:08Speaker 2: trial linguier.
- 2:22:09Speaker 10: I know English is my second, Bridge is my first,
- 2:22:15Speaker 10: and French is my turd. And I can tell her
- 2:22:18Speaker 10: I got a level in English, British English, and it.
- 2:22:22Speaker 2: Drive me nuts.
- 2:22:23Speaker 10: Some of the worlds that you guys just kind of butchered.
- 2:22:27Speaker 2: A good example is color. It's c O l o
- 2:22:31Speaker 2: u r s color.
- 2:22:35Speaker 4: We also said it was his third language.
- 2:22:38Speaker 2: Labor was spelled that way as well, right, Yeah, And
- 2:22:39Speaker 2: they spelled tired with a y y r e in
- 2:22:42Speaker 2: theater the R is before the E.
- 2:22:44Speaker 15: Correct, Yes, Jim, Jim's The worst place I ever got tattooed, Wow,
- 2:22:53Speaker 15: was across my final cord on the top of my shoulders.
- 2:22:59Speaker 2: That one hurt, But.
- 2:23:02Speaker 15: By far the one thing that had hurt more than
- 2:23:05Speaker 15: anything was getting my nipples pierced.
- 2:23:09Speaker 2: I wouldn't recommend it now without a seltzer, right. And
- 2:23:14Speaker 2: by the way, that comes from a guy who's twenty
- 2:23:16Speaker 2: five percent of his blood is alcohol. So I mean
- 2:23:19Speaker 2: you figure the pain receptors have long been singed, long dead.
- 2:23:24Speaker 2: They they're so dead they're on Jaden's tattoos in his
- 2:23:29Speaker 2: little Skeleton rock band. All right, four O seven nine

- 2:25:26Speaker 2: Im about ready to go home? Make a damn oh
- 2:25:28Speaker 2: my oranges, little dicey, I need I need to cut
- 2:25:30Speaker 2: up on a new one. Hey, real quick before we
- 2:25:32Speaker 2: get to this an Italian An Italian old fashioned uses
- 2:25:37Speaker 2: de sarona instead of simple syrup. Really, I hear it's
- 2:25:42Speaker 2: a trip. Let's do some news. Wow, they have to
- 2:25:45Speaker 2: hit the ard it here first on the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:25:51Speaker 2: All right, let's get this out of the way.
- 2:25:52Speaker 4: The Florida House and Senate have passed the state's nearly
- 2:25:55Speaker 4: one hundred and fifteen billion dollars state budget for the
- 2:25:59Speaker 4: new fisk year. However, House Minority Leader fen Trees Driscoll
- 2:26:03Speaker 4: calls it inadequate and here's why Plaridians are.
- 2:26:06Speaker 12: In a real crunch when it comes to rising costs,
- 2:26:09Speaker 12: and that to me, is why this budget is inadequate.
- 2:26:11Speaker 12: It seemed to me that we should have focused more
- 2:26:13Speaker 12: on delivering affordability for Floridians.
- 2:26:15Speaker 4: Governor Rond DeSantis has said he's going to sign the
- 2:26:18Speaker 4: spending plan once he issues his vetos, but promises the
- 2:26:21Speaker 4: budget will be smaller than the year before for the
- 2:26:24Speaker 4: fourth year in a row. Both sides are set to
- 2:26:26Speaker 4: return meanwhile, on Monday for another special session to consider
- 2:26:30Speaker 4: putting property tax reform on the November ballot. All right,
- 2:26:34Speaker 4: Orlando Magic are reportedly hiring Sean Sweeney as their next
- 2:26:37Speaker 4: head coach. Sweeney is currently associate head coach for the
- 2:26:41Speaker 4: San Antonio Spurs. It comes after the Magic fired Jamal
- 2:26:44Speaker 4: Mosley earlier this month after losing in the first round
- 2:26:48Speaker 4: of the playoffs for the third straight time. It marks
- 2:26:52Speaker 4: Sweeney's first time as a head coach in the NBA.
- 2:26:56Speaker 4: There you, and then finally, Southwest Airlines as reversing course
- 2:27:00Speaker 4: on its plus size passenger policy for those who don't know,
- 2:27:04Speaker 4: the discount carrier will no longer require plus size customers
- 2:27:08Speaker 4: to book an extra seat in advance.
- 2:27:10Speaker 2: Thank god, that's going to save me some money.
- 2:27:11Speaker 4: It's a little confusing, though. Gate agents will now assign
- 2:27:15Speaker 4: an extra seat for free if available, or work to
- 2:27:18Speaker 4: get the customer on a later flight. I'm sure those
- 2:27:21Speaker 4: gate agents are so happy to hear that. Southwest said
- 2:27:25Speaker 4: the change aims to create a quote, a more consistent
- 2:27:28Speaker 4: and seamless experience end quote. Now, passengers needing that extra
- 2:27:31Speaker 4: seat are still encouraged to book one in advance, and
- 2:27:35Speaker 4: then they'll be able to request a refund within ninety
- 2:27:37Speaker 4: days of travel. And you heard it here first on
- 2:27:40Speaker 4: the Jim Kolpert Show.
- 2:27:41Speaker 2: May you never appreciate that very much.
- 2:27:44Speaker 4: We want to thank Corona Cigar Company once again. A
- 2:27:46Speaker 4: really good deal for your weekend.
- 2:27:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's a really nice smoke to go grab
- 2:27:51Speaker 2: it out there today. Matter of fact, let me get
- 2:27:52Speaker 2: the name for a year so we can get this right. Okay, okay,
- 2:27:54Speaker 2: because it's a long win. I take a deep breath here.
- 2:27:56Speaker 2: Oh I already wiped it out, Go ahead, never mind.
- 2:27:59Speaker 4: I also want to thank Faia's car a restaurant critic
- 2:28:01Speaker 4: for The Orlando Weekly, Jaden Grimes with his eight bit
- 2:28:04Speaker 4: update Just in case see what missed bias the reviews
- 2:28:07Speaker 4: of local restaurants or Jaden's gaming Update. You can find
- 2:28:11Speaker 4: both podcasts at Jim Colbert's Show and Last But Never
- 2:28:14Speaker 4: Leased Sam Bowen, Candice Rich and Alicia bullwear for running
- 2:28:18Speaker 4: our YouTube check.
- 2:28:19Speaker 2: It's the Corona Nicaraguin twenty fifth anniversary, Churchill FSG Shay
- 2:28:23Speaker 2: is what it is, Jack take, So that's Italian old fashion.
- 2:28:26Speaker 2: It has amaretto a half ounce instead of simple shirup. However,
- 2:28:30Speaker 2: they are only putting an ounce and a half of
- 2:28:32Speaker 2: bourbon in theirs, and is that the norm?
- 2:28:34Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 2:28:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I just saw it online today and
- 2:28:36Speaker 2: it looked amazing. I made one last night and it
- 2:28:38Speaker 2: was four ounce as a bourbon and I thought that
- 2:28:40Speaker 2: was regular.
- 2:28:40Speaker 4: Well, maybe it's because of the amaretto and the other thing.
- 2:28:43Speaker 4: They're cut down on the bourbon.
- 2:28:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but I said de soona you're you're saying ameretto. Yeah.
- 2:28:48Speaker 2: The one he made was with de soroona. Is that
- 2:28:50Speaker 2: a four? Isn't that just a top shelf? Amaretto is
- 2:28:53Speaker 2: what it is. I think that's the brand name it. Okay,
- 2:28:56Speaker 2: got question of the day. Do you think you have
- 2:29:00Speaker 2: oh CD? Where do you think it falls with the YouTubers?
- 2:29:03Speaker 2: Thirty five percent say yes. Forty five percent. Oh yes,
- 2:29:06Speaker 2: that's a lot, dude, that's a lot. Have you read
- 2:29:09Speaker 2: the news? It's crazy. I've been to have a good weekend.
- 2:29:13Speaker 2: Stay saved. It's gonna be raining like crazy. Keep your
- 2:29:15Speaker 2: family safe, have a good time.

- 2:29:19Speaker 2: Are you early?
- 2:29:20Speaker 19: Yeah?
- 2:29:20Speaker 2: Not mean, I'm just gonna drink a thing. Pal. We
- 2:29:23Speaker 2: have Devin Jack, I'm Jim. We follow the new Junkie.
- 2:29:25Speaker 2: They follow the monsters. This morning after us, it's Tom
- 2:29:28Speaker 2: Dame of the Corport Time, it's to Orlando's Shine Show.
- 2:29:30Speaker 2: It's what the hell is Angel listening to? And of
- 2:29:32Speaker 2: course tomorrow it smells like the nineties all week and long.
