Platner Implosion Reveals Utter Hypocrisy of National Democrats · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

0:00
Speaker 1: Welcome.
0:00
Speaker 2: It is verdic with Center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
0:03
Speaker 2: you as well, Senator. We've got a lot to talk about,
0:05
Speaker 2: including Democrats having no moral compass, in fact, their moral
0:10
Speaker 2: compass is only polling data. And now they've turned on
0:13
Speaker 2: Graham Platner because they're afraid he's going to lose, just
0:16
Speaker 2: like they did with Eric Swalwell in California. Even though
0:19
Speaker 2: the warning signs were always there.
0:21
Speaker 3: Well, you're exactly right, Graham Platner is imploding. This was
0:25
Speaker 3: the least surprising thing to have ever happened in the
0:28
Speaker 3: history of the planet Earth. It was predictable, and indeed
0:32
Speaker 3: not just predictable. It was predicted on this podcast a
0:35
Speaker 3: month ago. We predicted what is happening was exactly what
0:39
Speaker 3: would happen. Graham Platner will drop out of the Democrat race.
0:44
Speaker 3: As you and I are recording it Tuesday night. He
0:46
Speaker 3: has not yet dropped out, but he will drop out
0:49
Speaker 3: before July thirteenth. July thirteenth is the deadline for the
0:53
Speaker 3: Democrats to replace him on the ballot. We predicted that,
0:56
Speaker 3: as I said a month ago on this pod, is
1:00
Speaker 3: dropping out because there are now credible allegations that he
1:04
Speaker 3: sexually assaulted a woman, and this woman apparently can be
1:07
Speaker 3: believed because she's a left wing Democrat. But that's not
1:11
Speaker 3: actually why he will drop out. He will drop out
1:14
Speaker 3: because the Democrats have decided they must get him off
1:17
Speaker 3: the ballot because, as you noted, he is losing. We're
1:20
Speaker 3: gonna break down the Graham Platner mess, the steaming pile
1:25
Speaker 3: of manure that is his campaign, and the mess of
1:28
Speaker 3: a life that this guy has led. But we're gonna
1:32
Speaker 3: break down how this Graham Platner fiasco demonstrates the utter
1:38
Speaker 3: hypocrisy of Democrats. That there is not a Democrat in
1:43
Speaker 3: the United States Congress, with the lone exception of John Fetterman,
1:47
Speaker 3: there is not another Democrat who has demonstrated even the
1:51
Speaker 3: tiniest shred of integrity when it comes to Graham platter
1:55
Speaker 3: We're gonna go come and we're bringing the receipts. You're right,
1:58
Speaker 3: it's just like Eric Sway Well and before that, it's
2:01
Speaker 3: just like Joe Biden. All today's Democrats care about is
2:05
Speaker 3: winning and anything else they're willing to overlook. But don't
2:09
Speaker 3: just believe what Ben and I are saying. We're gonna
2:11
Speaker 3: come with the receipts right now.
2:14
Speaker 2: Before we get to that, I want to tell you
2:15
Speaker 2: real quick about an important thing that's happening in this country.
2:19
Speaker 2: And there are so many brands today that offer and
2:23
Speaker 2: they claim to stand for American values, but most of
2:26
Speaker 2: the time it's all talk and no action. And that's
2:29
Speaker 2: what makes Patriot Mobile so different. For more than twelve years,
2:33
Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile has been living their values and standing the
2:36
Speaker 2: gap for every American who believes freedom is actually worth
2:39
Speaker 2: fighting for. Their business was founded on a simple conviction,
2:43
Speaker 2: if culture is being shaped through commerce, then Americans deserve
2:47
Speaker 2: a real conservative, Christian alternative. Well, today Patriot Mobile has
2:52
Speaker 2: become America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. They offer you

Speaker 2: USA based customer support. And with Patriot Mobile, you can
3:13
Speaker 2: even have two separate networks on one phone, giving you
3:17
Speaker 2: unmatched coverage and the peace of mind you can't get
3:20
Speaker 2: with other carriers. That is probably my favorite part about
3:23
Speaker 2: my phone is I literally have two networks on all
3:26
Speaker 2: the time and it switches to whicheveryone has the best coverage.
3:29
Speaker 1: Now.
3:30
Speaker 2: Besides the great tech which truly sets Patriot Mobile part
3:33
Speaker 2: is their mission. Every year, Patriot Mobile contributes millions of
3:37
Speaker 2: dollars to organizations defending free speech, religious liberty, and the
3:42
Speaker 2: sanctity of life, as well as our Second Amendment in
3:44
Speaker 2: America's real future. So join the movement today. Go to

Speaker 2: nine to seven to two Patriot. To make that switch
4:04
Speaker 2: and make a difference with every call you make today. So, Senatri,
4:08
Speaker 2: you and I talked about this predicted a month ago
4:11
Speaker 2: on this show. It seems that you and I are
4:14
Speaker 2: really good at understanding politics and how scumbags and the
4:17
Speaker 2: Democratic Party are always on an expiration date.
4:21
Speaker 1: This one, as you mentioned, is the thirteenth.
4:23
Speaker 2: They've got to get him off the ballot, meaning he's
4:26
Speaker 2: got to drop out by then or they're stuck with
4:28
Speaker 2: him on the ballot.
4:29
Speaker 1: I want to know your prediction.
4:32
Speaker 2: Do you think the same people that create a Grand
4:35
Speaker 2: platinirm that are now trying to destroy him are gonna
4:37
Speaker 2: be able to get him off the ballot by the
4:39
Speaker 2: thirteenth or do you think he says, you know what,
4:40
Speaker 2: I'll drop out the fourteenth just to ticket to all
4:43
Speaker 2: you guys that are coming after me.
4:45
Speaker 3: No, he's a Marxist. He'll drop out. He'll drop out
4:48
Speaker 3: this week. It'll be by the thirteenth. They'll replace him.
4:51
Speaker 3: And understand, Look for Democrats in Congress, the fact that
4:57
Speaker 3: the guy had a Nazi tattoo on his chest, that
5:00
Speaker 3: was not disqualifying. They were happy to support him. And
5:03
Speaker 3: not just any Nazi tattoo, a totin comp the symbol
5:07
Speaker 3: of the SS at the death squads in World War Two.
5:11
Speaker 3: That's what he had tattooed on his chest. Democrats just
5:14
Speaker 3: fine with that. The fact that he self described himself
5:17
Speaker 3: as a communist, they had no problem with that at all.
5:20
Speaker 3: The fact that he described that he would have masturbation
5:25
Speaker 3: fantasies in porta potties, which is just weird. I mean,
5:28
Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, it's just that that's a very
5:30
Speaker 3: odd dynamic. That didn't scare any of them away. The
5:35
Speaker 3: fact that he had a prior girlfriend accuse him of
5:40
Speaker 3: being emotionally verbally abusive, that didn't scare them away. The
5:45
Speaker 3: fact that he used repeated racist insults attacked African Americans.
5:50
Speaker 3: Democrats were just fine with that. The fact that he
5:52
Speaker 3: was a vicious misogynist, no problem with that at all.
5:56
Speaker 3: The fact that he attacked a decorated combat ve veteran, Yeah,
6:01
Speaker 3: and he said he wished that the veteran had died. Well,
6:04
Speaker 3: the Democrats were just hunky dory with that.
6:07
Speaker 4: Uh.
6:08
Speaker 1: And don't forget the anti semitism as well, let's throw
6:10
Speaker 1: that in there.
6:11
Speaker 3: Well, you know that that kind of runs with anyone
6:14
Speaker 3: that puts a Nazi tattoo on their on their chest,
6:16
Speaker 3: like the ven diagram. To use a Kamala Harris term
6:20
Speaker 3: of Nazis and anti Semites, that would be a one
6:23
Speaker 3: hundred percent overlap, and in that all Nazis are anti Semites.
6:27
Speaker 4: Yeah.
6:29
Speaker 3: And by the way, the fact that he described that
6:32
Speaker 3: he had a fantasy of raping men who broke into
6:37
Speaker 3: his house, although he said quote not in a gayway,
6:40
Speaker 3: just just raping men in the heterosexual way, none of
6:44
Speaker 3: that was was problematic. And I want to go through
6:47
Speaker 3: the receipts. All right, Chuck Schumer on June second, I
6:51
Speaker 3: endorse Graham Platter. This is after almost all of this
6:54
Speaker 3: stuff had broken. How about Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders quote,
6:59
Speaker 3: I personally think he is an excellent candidate. I'm going
7:02
Speaker 3: to support him, and I look forward to him becoming
7:04
Speaker 3: the next senator in the state of Maine. Reuben Gego
7:07
Speaker 3: goes and campaigns alongside him. Tim Waltz, I'll be in
7:12
Speaker 3: Portland tomorrow with Graham Plattner to kick off his campaign
7:16
Speaker 3: to retire Susan Collins. Let's go win this thing that
7:18
Speaker 3: was in April. Elizabeth Warren all right, this is one
7:22
Speaker 3: of my favorite Elizabeth Warren Boyce. She was all in
7:25
Speaker 3: understand progressive, powerful advocate for equality. What nonsense. Okay, So
7:32
Speaker 3: here's what Elizabeth Warren says. Quote He's a combat veteran,
7:37
Speaker 3: an oyster farmer, and has inspired people with his populist
7:41
Speaker 3: agenda for a government on the side of working families,
7:44
Speaker 3: not the billionaires and giant corporations. She also said, quote,
7:48
Speaker 3: I endorse Graham Plattner because I know he's a fighter
7:50
Speaker 3: on behalf of working families, and because he doesn't take
7:53
Speaker 3: any corporate pack money. And we need more people in
7:56
Speaker 3: Washington who are less about go along to get along
7:58
Speaker 3: and more about fighting to make the kind of changes
8:00
Speaker 3: that families need. And I want you to listen to
8:03
Speaker 3: what Elizabeth Warren said about Platner on April eighteenth. Here,
8:06
Speaker 3: give a listen.
8:08
Speaker 5: I am here because Washington needs fighters, and gram Platner
8:13
Speaker 5: is the fighter we need. You. Bet, I said to myself,
8:21
Speaker 5: that's my kind of man, because that is a man
8:27
Speaker 5: who not only has the values, but a man who
8:31
Speaker 5: believes in accountability. And we need a little accountability coming
8:36
Speaker 5: out of Washington right now. We need gram Platner to
8:42
Speaker 5: come in and get rid of the.
8:44
Speaker 1: Corruption in Washington.
8:45
Speaker 2: Time for new lawson, get rid of that corruption center
8:50
Speaker 2: in Washington. I mean, it's just that simple, right You
8:53
Speaker 2: just say a man's a good man, forget all the
8:55
Speaker 2: red flags, and you just make sure that no one
8:58
Speaker 2: ever knows even happen.
9:00
Speaker 3: That's my kind of man. I want you. In fact,
9:05
Speaker 3: I want to just play play that again. Listen again
9:09
Speaker 3: to Elizabeth Warren on Graham Plattner.
9:12
Speaker 5: That's my kind of man.
9:15
Speaker 2: I believe her, by the way I believe her as
9:18
Speaker 2: much as I believe any Democrat right now they love
9:21
Speaker 2: this guy until they just decided, oh wait, he may
9:24
Speaker 2: not be able to win.
9:25
Speaker 3: And by the way, every one of those now has
9:27
Speaker 3: now called on Platner to drop out, So Chuck Schumer. Tonight,
9:30
Speaker 3: he and Kirsten Gillibrand put out a statement quote, the
9:33
Speaker 3: allegations reported today are incredibly disturbing. Violence, abuse, and sexual
9:37
Speaker 3: assault are absolutely unacceptable. The DSCC will not invest in
9:41
Speaker 3: Maine Senate if Platner remains on the ballot. Bernie Sanders,
9:46
Speaker 3: I have spoken with Graham Plattner about the best path
9:49
Speaker 3: forward for Maine in light of these very serious allegations.
9:53
Speaker 3: I have recommended that he step aside. How about Reuben
9:56
Speaker 3: Diego quote The allegations against Graham Plattner are troubling and
9:59
Speaker 3: deeply serious. I am rescinding my endorsement. How about Tim
10:03
Speaker 3: Waltz quote, the allegations of sexual assault against Graham Plattner
10:07
Speaker 3: are deeply disturbing. He should drop out and make way
10:09
Speaker 3: for a candidate that can defeat Susan Collins in November.
10:14
Speaker 3: How about Elizabeth Warren quote, Now, more than ever, we
10:18
Speaker 3: need leaders in Washington to reflect our values. There could
10:21
Speaker 3: be no tolerance for sexual assault. Working families are counting
10:23
Speaker 3: on Democrats to win the Senate election in Maine, the
10:26
Speaker 3: unrigular economy and hold Donald Trump accountable. With so much
10:29
Speaker 3: at stake, best path forward is for Graham Plattner to
10:32
Speaker 3: step aside as the Democratic nominee and address these serious
10:35
Speaker 3: allegations outside the Senate race now among other hypocrites. And
10:40
Speaker 3: I won't necessarily go through all their quotes. Rocanna happy
10:43
Speaker 3: to stand with Graham Plattner with all these allegations. Chris
10:46
Speaker 3: van Holland, Well, when he was asked about the Nazi stuff,
10:50
Speaker 3: the misogynist stuff, the racist stuff, Chris van Holland said, quote,
10:54
Speaker 3: people should have second chances. Sheldon white House. What did
10:58
Speaker 3: Sheldon white House say? Hears a quote from Politico. White
11:05
Speaker 3: House has been among Platner's most constant supporters among lawmakers
11:09
Speaker 3: in the US Senate, calling the controversial candidate quote wonderfully appealing.
11:15
Speaker 3: Sheldon white House Nazi, communist, misogynist, racist, oyster farmer, wonderfully appealing.
11:22
Speaker 3: What else did he say? White House said, quote, He's
11:25
Speaker 3: off to a really strong start and has a wonderfully
11:28
Speaker 3: appealing local background and story. Just last month, white House
11:33
Speaker 3: dismissed a New York Times report quoting women who accused
11:36
Speaker 3: Platner a quote intimidating and disturbing behavior. White House said,
11:41
Speaker 3: quote seems like a lot of nothing. I mean, the
11:44
Speaker 3: only one who had anything to say that seemed unsettling
11:48
Speaker 3: was a woman who works for right wing political operations. Apparently,
11:53
Speaker 3: in Democrat worlds, you can sexually harass, you can assault
11:57
Speaker 3: Republican women, and they don't count as women's Apparently that's
12:00
Speaker 3: just fine.
12:02
Speaker 2: By the way, what happened in the Democrats mantra believe
12:04
Speaker 2: all women. I just wanted when did that get thrown out?
12:07
Speaker 2: When it comes to Squallwell, and it was always a lie.
12:10
Speaker 3: It was always a lie. These are the same people
12:12
Speaker 3: that defended Bill Clinton over and over and over again,
12:15
Speaker 3: that launched Remember Hillary Clinton launched the smear campaigns on
12:19
Speaker 3: every woman that came forward with allegations against Bill Clinton
12:22
Speaker 3: was never true. Zo Ron Mondami, Mondami's several of his
12:27
Speaker 3: top aides, including his strategist Morris Catz, his press secretary Joecovello,
12:32
Speaker 3: played leading roles in Platner's campaign. Uh Hassan Piker, All right,
12:39
Speaker 3: here's what Piker said on June tenth, not very long ago. Quote,
12:44
Speaker 3: Do I want Graham Plattner to win this race? Effo lutely?
12:49
Speaker 3: Although he did not abbreviate efan, I do for a
12:52
Speaker 3: million different reasons. He's great on message. What kind of
12:56
Speaker 3: lunatic thinks this guy is is great on message? Now?
13:01
Speaker 3: Where are we today? Every one I've gone through has said, okay,
13:04
Speaker 3: time to get out, Time to get out, time to
13:05
Speaker 3: get out. Except let me tell you one knucklehead. Who
13:10
Speaker 3: do you think is right now? The lone knucklehead who
13:13
Speaker 3: said he doesn't want Graham platter to drop out.
13:16
Speaker 2: I would have guessed if I didn't know better, I
13:19
Speaker 2: would have said Bernie Sanders. But he's even said it now. Well,
13:21
Speaker 2: we got a serious reservation. YadA, YadA, YadA. So give
13:24
Speaker 2: me outside that I have no idea, give me, give
13:27
Speaker 2: me the name.
13:29
Speaker 3: Stephen King, really Maine. He lives in Maine, left wing radical,
13:35
Speaker 3: filled with hate. Here's what he put out Tuesday night. Quote,
13:39
Speaker 3: Graham Platner may drop out. I hope he doesn't. But meanwhile,
13:47
Speaker 3: the abuser in chief just keeps on keeping on. So
13:51
Speaker 3: Stephen King is the one guy that says, give me
13:54
Speaker 3: a Nazi communist, racist, misogynist, alleged rapist. And I'm good
14:01
Speaker 3: with him. Why Because Susan Collins and Stephen King's world
14:06
Speaker 3: is way too conservative for him.
14:09
Speaker 2: All Right, I think it's time. You and I haven't
14:12
Speaker 2: had a verdict bed in a long time. And we
14:14
Speaker 2: both like Mexican food, so I think we should bet
14:16
Speaker 2: Mexican food.
14:17
Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw it out there.
14:19
Speaker 2: I think Graham Plattner is going to be so mad
14:22
Speaker 2: that this has happened to him that he's not gonna
14:24
Speaker 2: drop out before the deadline.
14:26
Speaker 3: All right, you are so buying the enchilados that Margarita is.
14:29
Speaker 3: I actually feel bad. This is this is like taking
14:32
Speaker 3: money from a baby.
14:35
Speaker 2: This is so him though, And all these people got
14:37
Speaker 2: you to do this, and all of them got you in,
14:40
Speaker 2: and then they all helped you raise money, and they
14:42
Speaker 2: all said all these things, and then right before the end,
14:44
Speaker 2: they're like, we're gonna trash you like Swallwell, I just
14:47
Speaker 2: think this is maybe I'm wrong. I think a guy
14:50
Speaker 2: is crazy that crazy enough to have a Nazi tattoo,
14:52
Speaker 2: is crazy enough to say watch this this on the fourteenth,
14:56
Speaker 2: the fifteenth, I'll drop out, but not before then.
14:59
Speaker 3: Look, you don't understand communists.
15:03
Speaker 1: Right, they give me, give me all right, tell me
15:05
Speaker 1: the other side of the.
15:05
Speaker 3: Bat that they take or one of one of the
15:08
Speaker 3: other rest will buy the other Mexican. And so when
15:09
Speaker 3: you buy me Mexican, I'm gonna by the way, I'm
15:11
Speaker 3: not gonna order just an ordinary margarita. I'm gonna say,
15:14
Speaker 3: give me the toppest shelf you got.
15:16
Speaker 1: Shelf, top shelf. Yeah, all the way. I believe you're
15:19
Speaker 1: and the and the largest case though, keep going.
15:21
Speaker 3: Right, and not just like the ground beef enchiladas. I
15:24
Speaker 3: want shredded beef. I want what do you mean the case?
15:26
Speaker 3: So I want real melted cheese. I want good stuff
15:29
Speaker 3: on that.
15:30
Speaker 1: But I I.
15:32
Speaker 2: Cannot wait for this bet anyway, keep going so tell
15:34
Speaker 2: me why you think there's no way he'll be he'll
15:36
Speaker 2: do that.
15:37
Speaker 3: Let's let's go back to Swallwell. And we covered this
15:40
Speaker 3: when when when Swallowell and the scandal broke. Look Swallwell
15:45
Speaker 3: was one of the leading candidates to be governor in California,
15:49
Speaker 3: and all the Democrats were happily behind them, and and
15:51
Speaker 3: from all the reports that came out of his being
15:54
Speaker 3: a repeated sexual assault abuser, harasser, And I mean it
15:59
Speaker 3: really was pretty ship aimless conduct that just went on
16:01
Speaker 3: and on and on. You know, it was so commonplace
16:07
Speaker 3: that the Democrats.
16:07
Speaker 1: Already knew about it. It was talking about.
16:10
Speaker 3: Okay, not everybody knew about it. I didn't know about it,
16:12
Speaker 3: but I don't know Swallall. Like I, I don't run
16:14
Speaker 3: in the circle of House Democrats, so I had no
16:16
Speaker 3: clue that the guy was a predator. But the people
16:19
Speaker 3: pallling around with him obviously did. The Democrat staffers obviously did.
16:24
Speaker 3: You don't behave like Swalwell did without that becoming common
16:28
Speaker 3: knowledge in the circause he was not hiding it. He
16:30
Speaker 3: was not at all circumspect. He was open and brazen.
16:33
Speaker 3: Why because he understood that that the leftist today they
16:39
Speaker 3: will defend anything, anything, any if it keeps them in power.
16:44
Speaker 3: What was Swalwell's cardinal offense. It was when he was
16:49
Speaker 3: splitting the vote and suddenly it looked like the Republicans
16:52
Speaker 3: had a chance of becoming governor. And I mean they,
16:55
Speaker 3: the Democrats ruthlessly took him out with no hesitation at all.
16:59
Speaker 3: Let's go back to your Biden. To be clear, for
17:02
Speaker 3: every Democrat in Congress knew that Joe Biden was well
17:07
Speaker 3: into dementia that he was not remotely competent to be
17:11
Speaker 3: president of the United States his first term, much less
17:14
Speaker 3: a second term. They knew that he could not be
17:18
Speaker 3: trusted to have his finger on the button. They knew
17:21
Speaker 3: that none of our enemies feared him because they knew
17:24
Speaker 3: that he was a man deep into sinility. And you
17:26
Speaker 3: know what, they all circled the wagon, and in fact,
17:30
Speaker 3: you know, they kind of sounded like like you remember
17:34
Speaker 3: the old movie The Manchurian Candidate. Yeah, well, in The
17:38
Speaker 3: Manchurian Candidate, all these folks who had brain been brainwashed
17:41
Speaker 3: all said the same thing about the candidate that was
17:43
Speaker 3: put forward. They all said, Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest,
17:48
Speaker 3: most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
17:50
Speaker 3: They all repeated that word for word. Yeah, that's almost
17:54
Speaker 3: exactly what every Democrat said about Joe Biden. Joe Biden
17:57
Speaker 3: is quick, He's on the ball. Oh my goodness, it's
18:00
Speaker 3: the most incredible encyclopedic memory. He's doing like like nine
18:04
Speaker 3: digit multiplication in his head. I mean it's like, you know,
18:07
Speaker 3: fire shoots out of his fingertips. I mean it there
18:12
Speaker 3: wasn't even a tiny bit of hesitation. Ye, a tiny
18:18
Speaker 3: bit of gosh, this is bad for our country. They
18:21
Speaker 3: didn't care. Yeah, And when did they pull the plug
18:25
Speaker 3: on Biden after the debate when they're like, oh no,
18:27
Speaker 3: we can't hide this anymore. Look, they would have been
18:30
Speaker 3: glad to weekend at Bernie's Joe Biden literally have him
18:33
Speaker 3: die in office, put him there and just raise the hand,
18:35
Speaker 3: like Weekend at Bernie's when they had the dead men
18:37
Speaker 3: they pretended to alive. The Democrats were fine with that.
18:40
Speaker 3: They did not care if the President of the United
18:43
Speaker 3: States was any longer competent. They did not care if
18:46
Speaker 3: Eric Swalwell was a sexual predator, and they didn't care
18:50
Speaker 3: if Graham Plattner was a sexual predator. What changed was
18:54
Speaker 3: suddenly they thought there's a real risk of losing. And
18:57
Speaker 3: listen to what zoron Mondami said today about Platner.
19:02
Speaker 4: Hey, how's it going to sound good?
19:04
Speaker 6: How are you? I wanted to ask, given that you
19:06
Speaker 6: have a sort of a sendent role in the Democratic Party,
19:10
Speaker 6: could you talk about the main Senate race. Do you
19:12
Speaker 6: think that Graham Platner should drop out of the race,
19:14
Speaker 6: and do you have any intention of endorsing any candidates
19:17
Speaker 6: in competitive races outside of New York else I e.
19:20
Speaker 1: It or anyone else.
19:22
Speaker 4: I believe that it's time for him to drop out
19:24
Speaker 4: of the race. And when it comes to my own endorsements,
19:27
Speaker 4: I've made eight endorsements at the state and federal level.
19:31
Speaker 4: They've all been right here in New York City. I'm
19:33
Speaker 4: incredibly excited at the fact that they won their races.
19:36
Speaker 4: And that's where my focus is for now.
19:38
Speaker 2: I mean, there it is in his own words, right like,
19:40
Speaker 2: that's it, that's it, you know, just just just go
19:43
Speaker 2: along with what everybody else says.
19:45
Speaker 1: At the very end, when you got to get rid
19:46
Speaker 1: of somebody.
19:47
Speaker 3: There, you go, Commedy is gonna come. And look, Mandami's saying,
19:50
Speaker 3: look at all the communists I'm electing in New York.
19:52
Speaker 3: There'll be time enough to get communists everywhere else. But
19:55
Speaker 3: to be clear, he didn't care that Platner was a racist, misogynist,
20:02
Speaker 3: Nazi communist. That didn't matter. All that mattered is uh, oh,
20:06
Speaker 3: he's gonna lose. So here's what the AP is reporting tonight.
20:10
Speaker 3: Succession fight is already underway as calls mount for Platner
20:13
Speaker 3: to drop out of Maine Senate race. Democratic nominee Graham
20:17
Speaker 3: Plattner hasn't resigned from the main U S Senate race
20:20
Speaker 3: following an allegation of sexual assault, but the succession battle
20:23
Speaker 3: to take his place was already underway Tuesday. The allegation
20:28
Speaker 3: reported Monday prompted a chorus of calls for Plattner to
20:30
Speaker 3: depart the high stakes race against Republican Senator Susan Collins,
20:34
Speaker 3: which could decide party control of the Senate. Plattner's longtime backer,
20:38
Speaker 3: Senator Bernie Sanders, quote recommended that he step aside. Then
20:43
Speaker 3: Tuesday evening, The Washington Post reported that an ex girlfriend
20:46
Speaker 3: of Platner had accused him of removing condoms during sex
20:49
Speaker 3: without her consent. Plattner, who has denied all the allegations,
20:54
Speaker 3: has been mum on whether he'll step aside, and the
20:57
Speaker 3: main Democratic party charged with creating a process to pick
21:00
Speaker 3: his replacement hasn't publicly announced their plans. On Tuesday night,
21:04
Speaker 3: executive director Devon Murphy Anderson released a video saying the
21:08
Speaker 3: party is developing in quote open, inclusive, transparent, and fair process,
21:14
Speaker 3: but won't disclose details until Platner withdraws. Plattner's team has
21:20
Speaker 3: repeatedly tried to quote put their thumb on the scale.
21:23
Speaker 3: She said, quote we have repeatedly reiterated a grand Platner's
21:28
Speaker 3: team that they will not have no role in determining
21:33
Speaker 3: our next Democratic nominee for the US Senate, nor in
21:35
Speaker 3: determining what this process looks like. An official for the
21:39
Speaker 3: Platner campaign responded that it quote has reached out to
21:42
Speaker 3: the party to try and understand what this process would
21:44
Speaker 3: look like and quote, at no point has the campaign
21:47
Speaker 3: tried to put its finger on the scale. The official
21:50
Speaker 3: added that the thousands of main residents who voted for
21:53
Speaker 3: and volunteered for Platner and they should play a role
21:57
Speaker 3: in the decision. So understand, once you're no longer useful
22:03
Speaker 3: to the communists, you will be discarded.
22:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, quickly, by the way.
22:09
Speaker 3: Quickly, with no hesitation, and and and and let me look,
22:14
Speaker 3: folks listening to this, you could be forgiven for being
22:18
Speaker 3: somewhat cynical for saying, oh, come on, both parties, do
22:21
Speaker 3: this and listen. It is true there are candidates for
22:24
Speaker 3: both parties that are less than ideal, that have real,
22:28
Speaker 3: real problems. Real false, that's that's true, because you know
22:31
Speaker 3: candidates are human beings, and human beings are are flawed
22:34
Speaker 3: and fallen creatures. But I will say I'd like to
22:37
Speaker 3: draw a contrast between this race and Roy Moore in Alabama.
22:43
Speaker 3: So Roy Moore was the Republican nominee for the Senate
22:47
Speaker 3: in Alabama. I did not support Roy Moore in the primary.
22:52
Speaker 3: Once he was the nominee, I endorsed him. I offered
22:55
Speaker 3: my support because I wanted to win the seat. I
22:57
Speaker 3: wanted the Alabama Senate seat to be held by a Republican.
23:01
Speaker 3: After he was the nominee, there were serious, credible allegations
23:06
Speaker 3: of sexual improprieties of Roy Moore with young teenage girls.
23:12
Speaker 3: They were multiple, they were serious, they were credible, And
23:15
Speaker 3: I actually called Roy Moore and I said, look, I
23:16
Speaker 3: want to hear your response to this. I want you
23:19
Speaker 3: to lay out and convince me this is not true.
23:23
Speaker 3: And I will say that conversation was one of the
23:26
Speaker 3: least satisfying conversations I've ever had with the candidate. He
23:28
Speaker 3: did not have any response that I found remotely credible.
23:33
Speaker 3: And so what did I do in that race? I
23:35
Speaker 3: explicitly rescinded my endorsement because I said, look, I'm not
23:40
Speaker 3: going to support someone who is sexually assaulting teenage girls.
23:44
Speaker 3: That is not And you know what happened. Republicans lost
23:48
Speaker 3: that seat. They elected Doug Jones, a Democrat, to the Senate,
23:52
Speaker 3: and by the way, a bunch of Republicans after I
23:54
Speaker 3: did that, followed by withdrawing their support. On the Democrat side,
23:59
Speaker 3: you had John Fetterman who was alone in showing real courage.
24:05
Speaker 3: And I want you to listen to what John Fetterman
24:07
Speaker 3: said this week about Graham Plattner and about the real
24:11
Speaker 3: fault and culpability for what happened.
24:14
Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I refuse to overlook that, but honestly,
24:18
Speaker 7: I would really call Bertie Sanders to apologize for pushing
24:24
Speaker 7: this kind of predator more than anyone he helped him
24:27
Speaker 7: elect and now apologize to the victims, especially the woman
24:32
Speaker 7: that she claimed that he raped her. So, I don't
24:36
Speaker 7: know why you want to keep pushing these kinds of people.
24:39
Speaker 7: Maybe he should consider set a few out and stop
24:42
Speaker 7: pushing these kind of communists and people and now people
24:46
Speaker 7: you know like p Hustle.
24:48
Speaker 4: Now he has been.
24:51
Speaker 7: Incredibly accused of rape and that's fairly recent too, that
24:55
Speaker 7: was only less than five years ago.
24:57
Speaker 2: Well, he said that allegations are untrue, but that he's
25:02
Speaker 2: basically reviewing his options.
25:05
Speaker 1: He's obviously gonna drop out.
25:06
Speaker 4: Correct.
25:08
Speaker 2: I love that he's obviously gonna drop out. Correct, I
25:11
Speaker 2: think you'll drop out. I just I think the day
25:14
Speaker 2: I hope that I'm right here for so many different reasons,
25:18
Speaker 2: but I just think it'd be amazing to watch the
25:20
Speaker 2: guy go, Okay, you guys want to burn me down, Fine,
25:23
Speaker 2: you're all going down with me.
25:25
Speaker 3: Ben I'm looking forward to some damn fine Mexican and
25:29
Speaker 3: I will say this. Look, the chances that Bernie Sanders apologizes,
25:35
Speaker 3: as John Fetterman called on him to do, I think
25:38
Speaker 3: are zero point zero percent. Bernie's not gonna apologize. Chuck
25:42
Speaker 3: Schumer is not going to apologize. Gerry Waltz is not
25:44
Speaker 3: gonna apologize. Elizabeth Warren is definitely not gonna apologize. They
25:49
Speaker 3: are perfectly fine. Sheldon white House is not gonna apologize.
25:52
Speaker 3: None of them care. It is all about power. It
25:58
Speaker 3: is all about their ability to be in power, and
26:01
Speaker 3: it doesn't matter that they are. Look, you want to
26:05
Speaker 3: know what the Democrats message from this cycle is. Elizabeth
26:09
Speaker 3: Warren put it best.
26:12
Speaker 5: That's my kind of man.
26:15
Speaker 2: It's It's it's pretty accurate, isn't it. It's I mean,
26:18
Speaker 2: it's just that's like my favorite quote from her, besides
26:21
Speaker 2: being Pocahontas.
26:23
Speaker 4: Well.
26:24
Speaker 3: And I will say it is a sad expose of
26:28
Speaker 3: the Democrat Party because they're gonna take take take him out.
26:31
Speaker 3: Platter will be gone, which he should have been gone
26:34
Speaker 3: a long long time ago. He should have been off
26:35
Speaker 3: the ballot. Someone like this should not be uh in
26:38
Speaker 3: the United States Senate. Uh. But but they're doing this.
26:42
Speaker 3: The only reason that that they turned on him is
26:46
Speaker 3: because his poll numbers dropped and they believed, uh, oh,
26:49
Speaker 3: this guy's gonna lose. Let's dump him overboard and find
26:52
Speaker 3: someone else. And by the way, that someone else if
26:54
Speaker 3: they find another nazi, communist, oyster farmer, racist, misogynist, sexual predator.
27:01
Speaker 3: If his poll numbers are decent, they'll stick with him.
27:05
Speaker 3: If his poll numbers drop, they'll dump him as well.
27:09
Speaker 2: Final question on this, what type of candidate do you
27:13
Speaker 2: think the Democrats will go with when they replace him?
27:16
Speaker 2: Will they go with another radical because that's there was
27:19
Speaker 2: momentum they feel like for him before all of this,
27:22
Speaker 2: or will they find kind of a vanilla Democrat statewide
27:27
Speaker 2: office holder, maybe someone in the past. It's easy to
27:30
Speaker 2: deal with that. There's not any of these types of
27:32
Speaker 2: discoveries that will come out. What do you think the
27:35
Speaker 2: Democrats will do?
27:36
Speaker 3: So I don't know. I'll confess I don't know the
27:39
Speaker 3: main Democrat party, so I don't know the decision makers there.
27:43
Speaker 3: The most obvious choice would be Janet Mills, the Democrat
27:46
Speaker 3: governor who ran against Platner and lost, although Mills has
27:50
Speaker 3: said publicly that she's not running for Senate. Although that's
27:53
Speaker 3: the kind of statement I am not currently running for
27:56
Speaker 3: Senate is not the same thing as I would turn
27:58
Speaker 3: down the nomination. If I were to guess, I would
28:01
Speaker 3: cynically say that's who they pick because they think she
28:04
Speaker 3: would have the best chance of winning. But who knows.
28:06
Speaker 3: They might grab some crazy radical off a commune up
28:11
Speaker 3: in the main Woods, and the Democrats don't care. It
28:15
Speaker 3: doesn't have to be anyone with any qualifications. It doesn't
28:18
Speaker 3: have to be anyone. Look, if you're willing to go
28:20
Speaker 3: with a Nazi, communist oyster farmer, you're willing to go
28:23
Speaker 3: with anyone. Their only test is gonna be who do
28:26
Speaker 3: we think can win and if they can get can
28:29
Speaker 3: win plus crazy for them. I think that's a plus.
28:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, there it is.
