- 0:00The Nets lose their star player, they lose their star closer.
- 0:04The Nets are in a bad spot right now.
- 0:12I've never seen a Ranger team quick before the Olympics.
- 0:15We're going to be looking at Aaron Judge and saying that he
- 0:17can't win the big game, Michael Jordan said.
- 0:20I played 82 games. You don't see the one doing
- 0:23that, but Jack Hughes did after getting his teeth knocked out to
- 0:26play every single shift he got back in the game.

- 2:22www.worldwidesportsradio.com. I have had an interesting week.
- 2:27Now, if anybody knows what I've been dealing with, number one,
- 2:32I've been dealing with medical issues and one of them is kidney
- 2:36stones. It's the worst thing.
- 2:37I know. Everybody out there says, oh,
- 2:40kidney stones aren't that bad. Or some guys and women have said
- 2:44that a lot of guys are weenies and they can't handle kidney
- 2:46stones. Let them try giving birth.
- 2:48Now, I'm not saying I want to be the first man out there to give
- 2:53birth, but I can tell you this right now, when you go to the
- 2:56hospital, you rushed to the hospital and you have to deal
- 2:59with kidney stones. They're moving and you're
- 3:02feeling it. It is the worst feeling in the
- 3:04world. I can't forget the first time I
- 3:08had kidney stones and I was wondering.
- 3:09I woke up. I thought I was having back
- 3:11spasms. It felt like a Charley horse in
- 3:14my kidneys. And then I get rushed to the
- 3:16hospital and I'm practically crawling into the hospital and
- 3:20I'll never forget it. They rolled me into the
- 3:22hospital. I'm like screaming at the nurses
- 3:25and the doctors that were standing out there and I was
- 3:27telling them get me some morphine.
- 3:29I'm going to kill myself. It is the worst feeling in the
- 3:32world. So I've been dealing with that
- 3:35and then I find out recently that I've diverticulitis and
- 3:39this is very genetic. So for all the fans out there,
- 3:42why are you getting these things?
- 3:43Well, genetically, my mom has it, my uncle has it, my
- 3:47brother's had it. So I get diverticulitis.
- 3:50So it's, it's never fun to feel and, and deal with all these
- 3:56medical issues. And when you have
- 3:58diverticulitis, it, the one thing I can tell you is you
- 4:01cramp, you cramp all over your body.
- 4:02Your body hurts and you can't eat certain things because if he
- 4:07eats, just like when you have kidney stones, you can't, you
- 4:10have to stay away from cheese because a calcium could cause
- 4:14that. You know that feeling in your
- 4:16body or the movement. And and I work out a lot.
- 4:19So there was some conversations with the doctors telling me that
- 4:25the reason why these stones are dropping is it because I'm not
- 4:29drinking enough enough water and I'm running a lot.
- 4:32I'm, I'm doing some cardio and cardio dehydrates you faster.
- 4:36And if there's no water, it can I guess it's good that the, the,
- 4:41the stones are moving, but it moves at the worst times.
- 4:45Usually when I have these, these feelings and, and feeling sick,
- 4:50I'm usually sleeping. Could you imagine waking up and,
- 4:53and feeling something get you up, make you jump out of bed and
- 4:58then slowly but surely it starts to hit you worse and worse and
- 5:01worse as it falls down? And a small little tube, guys,
- 5:05this tube. Now most of these rocks are 4
- 5:08millimeters, 5mm, and they say that 90% of the time if you have
- 5:13a 3mm or 4mm millimeter rock falling, you'll pass it 90% of
- 5:20the time. How about passing a 6mm or a
- 5:235mm, which I've done in the past.
- 5:25So I've been dealing with four rocks, one in well, two in my
- 5:30left side and two in my right. Both on my right side popped
- 5:34out. One of them actually shot out.
- 5:36I don't want to tell you how it happened, but it shot out like a
- 5:40bullet and the other one kind of just broke apart when it passed
- 5:43through my bladder. And the other two, I don't know
- 5:46what's going on with them. One of them fell the other day
- 5:49and I was dealing. I was probably the worst feeling
- 5:51out of all the rocks. Could you imagine passing A6 and
- 5:54A5? And those didn't hurt you as
- 5:55much as the four I was. I was throwing up all over the
- 5:59place. So it's not a, it's not a good
- 6:01feeling. I wouldn't advise anybody or
- 6:04advise anybody to, well, the best way of staying away from
- 6:09kidney stones is unless it's genetic, stay away from calcium.
- 6:12Don't drink, don't eat a lot of cheese and drink a lot of water,
- 6:16drink a lot of water and electrolytes if you want to stay
- 6:19away from kidney stones. So I've been dealing with that.
- 6:21And then diverticulitis runs in the family.
- 6:23So not a, not a feeling that I would tell anybody.
- 6:26And and that's another thing, if you don't take care of of
- 6:29diverticulitis, it could cause a lot of problems in your
- 6:32intestine area. You might need surgery.
- 6:34So I'm trying to take care of myself, ladies and gentlemen,
- 6:37but I'm still here every single week entertaining you guys.
- 6:41Anyways, Quinton, I got a chance.
- 6:43And by the way, shout out to Nick Goody.
- 6:44Hung out with Nick Goody yesterday.
- 6:46He came out to New York taking care of some business.
- 6:48So shout out to the Goodster. And by the way, I'm making a new
- 6:51announcement. I will be doing a Yankee show
- 6:54moving forward with Nick Goody and it's going to be called the
- 6:57Bronx Bombcast. It is going to.
- 7:00There it is. Quentin's playing with his
- 7:02Yankee hat. I've got a new one, right?
- 7:03Over here. But it's going to be called the
- 7:05Bronx Bombcast. It's going to be all Yankees for
- 7:08an hour and a half. We're working on a start up
- 7:11date. But I promise you guys, all the
- 7:13Yankee fans, we're going to entertain you with Yankee
- 7:15baseball. Anyways.
- 7:16Quentin, how are you? I know you went to Jacksonville.
- 7:19Did you enjoy your time with your wife?
- 7:21No, I actually went to Texas. I was, yeah.
- 7:24We went out to Texas when our friends had a one year church
- 7:28anniversary. Shout out to Brandon and Lauren
- 7:30Freeman. Yeah, we did a we had a big,
- 7:33great time, man. We did a big lot of eating.
- 7:36So I'm feeling very huge coming back.
- 7:39I thought you said Jackson. No, no, no.
- 7:42Dallas, Dallas, Fort Worth, TX. See, you tell you.
- 7:45It just tells you when we're interacting with each other and
- 7:47he's around a bunch of people. I could have sworn he said
- 7:50Jacksonville, but maybe I was wrong.
- 7:53Maybe it was what part of Texas? What part?
- 7:55Of Dallas Fort Worth. Dallas Fort Worth.
- 7:57OK, yeah, mostly Fort Worth, but Dallas, Yeah.
- 7:59Dallas Fort Worth part. Yeah.
- 8:01I was dope, man. I got to see a lot of people.
- 8:04Well, mainly them too, which we haven't seen them and quite some
- 8:07time it's been like another year or so.
- 8:10They they recently moved from Atlanta down to Dash Fort Worth
- 8:13to start the church and it was a big turn out.
- 8:17It was unbelievable experience, man.
- 8:19I'm so happy for them and I'm glad I was able to be a part of
- 8:22the one year celebration. But outside of eating and
- 8:25feeling overweight right now, man, I'm feeling good right now.
- 8:28You know, I want to tell you too much because you might start
- 8:30feeling yourself thinking you got a chance tonight.
- 8:32But. Feeling myself.
- 8:34I feel myself every single night before I go to bed just so for
- 8:38all the fans out there, I definitely don't.
- 8:40Want to know? The fans want to know a little
- 8:42bit about me. I enjoy myself.
- 8:44Who's not afraid? First of all, I'm a real man.
- 8:47Is not going to be afraid to tell everybody what they like to
- 8:49do on their spare time. I'm a real man.
- 8:52I'm a real man because I'm going to tell you what I do in my
- 8:54spare time and I'm not going to be afraid.
- 8:56By the way, I don't go in the bathtub with a rubber ducky.
- 9:00I don't do any of that stuff. That's a little weird, but you
- 9:03know when I want to go to bed. That weird.
- 9:05No, it's not. Who doesn't do that?
- 9:08Who? Doesn't get women and.
- 9:11I got a woman. I got a woman, But which?
- 9:13Is the craziest part about the well?
- 9:14I like to please myself too, man.
- 9:16I'm a man. I'm just saying, come on, What
- 9:20man doesn't like to do that anyways?
- 9:23Me. Well, there you go.
- 9:24I'm. I'm starting to worry about you
- 9:26now. Q.
- 9:26I'm starting to worry beautiful like that.
- 9:29Well, there you go. I mean, listen, pleasing is
- 9:32pleasing. We got to get it to some Yankees
- 9:34baseball because it's been absolutely horrible to watch.
- 9:38So is the Mets. For the first time in history,
- 9:40both New York baseball teams, the Yankees and the Meth Mets,
- 9:44are both endured 5 game losing streaks at the same time.
- 9:49The Yankees offense has struggled badly, hitting just
- 9:52two O 2 as a team this season and 113 against lefties.
- 9:58The Yankees were swept by the Rays, headlined by Jazz
- 10:02Chisholm's costly fielding blunder with the bases loaded
- 10:08and one out during the extra innings on Saturday, when he
- 10:12failed to turn a double play and allowed the winning run to
- 10:16score. Chisholm admitted to not knowing
- 10:19the rules of the double play, and Aaron Boone said that Jazz
- 10:25has to answer questions in a better way.
- 10:28The Mets were also swept by the Athletics and the offense.
- 10:33The offense has been not only a blunder, but a lot of woes for
- 10:36that offense have continued for them.
- 10:39Without Juan Soto, who's hurt? The Mets averaged just 240, two
- 10:442.5, seven runs per game with Soto hurt and are last in the
- 10:50National League in slug and percentage and have hit 1:45
- 10:55with two outs and and and runners in scoring position.
- 10:59Besides Francisco Alvarez and Louise Robert, all the Mets
- 11:04starting hitters have been batting and they're batting
- 11:07average under 250 and they're OPS under 700.
- 11:11Many Mets fans have already started to turn on Carlos
- 11:15Mendoza with this losing streak, especially with with his lineup
- 11:21decisions, but also his bullpen decisions after they blew three
- 11:26leads in the 7th inning, 7th inning or later.
- 11:29Now I know there's a lot of Met fans and I'm going to get into
- 11:32the Mets, but I got to get into the Yankees because the Yankees
- 11:35are. It's just silly what's going on
- 11:38with the Yankees. And, and you look at this team,
- 11:40the line up, we look up and down.
- 11:42No, they don't have a real shortstop.
- 11:44We all know that McMahon, he's up and he's down.
- 11:48We we all know he comes from the Colorado Rockies.
- 11:51He came to the Yankees, couldn't hit a lick, but he's got a great
- 11:54arm. He's got a a gun at third base.
- 11:57So they expected the defense to be there and it has been there.
- 11:59I'm not saying the blunder of the New York Yankees like it was
- 12:02last year early in the season with Volpe making all the
- 12:05mistakes that he's he was making and the Yankees like pushing and
- 12:08shoving Volpe on to the Yankee fans.
- 12:11They're not in that position this year.
- 12:13Their defense has been a lot better than it was last year,
- 12:16but it's not their defense. It's been their timely hitting.
- 12:20It's been a big problem for the New York Yankees.
- 12:21And everybody's going to say what what Chisholm did.
- 12:24That's a blunter. That's a bad defensive play.
- 12:27Chisholm is his own man. I, I look at Jazz Chisholm, he,
- 12:32he's, he's a guy that wants an 8 year, $35 million contract.
- 12:35We all know what he asked and what he's been saying on many
- 12:38podcasts, what he thinks he's worth.
- 12:41We all know that Jazz Chisholm is not going to be a guy as far
- 12:45as the New York Yankees are concerned that is going to get
- 12:48paid in eight. We'll get an 8 year $35 million
- 12:50contract because as good as he is at second base is when he's
- 12:54probably one of the top five top six second baseman's in baseball
- 12:59with his power and in Yankee Stadium because his swing fits
- 13:03like a glove in Yankee Stadium. Will he do that if he goes to
- 13:08the race? Will he do that if he goes to
- 13:10the Cubs? The answer would be no because
- 13:13of the short porch and the way he likes to pull the ball.
- 13:16All right, and I'm I'll get into Jazz because Jazz's blunders
- 13:21move all the way back to last year in the All Star game, the
- 13:25three home runs and some of the outlandish outlandish things he
- 13:30said during the All Star break. Saying that the Yankees are
- 13:34arguably one of the best defensive teams in the American
- 13:36League when they in the second-half of the season, they
- 13:39were one of the worst and saying that the Yankees were the best
- 13:43team in the American League. And you can argue that in some
- 13:47parts of last year, especially in the second-half, they look
- 13:50like it, but the consistency has has been rotten for the New York
- 13:54Yankees. The fact here is going into that
- 13:58series against the Rays, the Rays were a really bad team,
- 14:03really bad. And the Rays offense, especially
- 14:07their lineup is not any good. Let's be honest.
- 14:09If you look at that team, look at the full talent on that team.
- 14:14Now the roster is not bad. I I'm not going to say that the
- 14:18the the Rays roster is bad. Their pitching staff is always
- 14:23good. They always have a good farm
- 14:25system. They call these guys up.
- 14:27They don't last that long. They don't last long because
- 14:30when they become arbitrated or they are looking for a long term
- 14:34deal, what does the Rays usually do?
- 14:36Ask Tyler Glass now they move them.
- 14:39They get as much as he possibly can back from another
- 14:43organization. They RIP off organizations.
- 14:45They're one of the best in the business when it comes to having
- 14:49talent and then moving talent at the right time and bringing in
- 14:54talent that transitions into big pieces of that organization for
- 14:58the long for the long haul. But the problem right now is, is
- 15:05as bad as the Yankees have played in the last five games,
- 15:09the Yankees are how many games out of first place, Speedy, how
- 15:12many games? 1.
- 15:14One game. Think about that.
- 15:16They've lost five games in a row and the Yankees, it's early,
- 15:21it's 162 games. It's not been warm.
- 15:25Now it's starting to get warm and I think the Yankees bats
- 15:27will wake up. They did the other night winning
- 15:30in extra innings. And the Yankee fans are jumping
- 15:34for joy. Great for them.
- 15:35This isn't the playoffs. This isn't two or three weeks
- 15:39left of the season. The Yankees are fighting for
- 15:41that final playoff position. For Yankee fans to go all over
- 15:44social media and jump for joy on winning a game, a game against a
- 15:50a team that is not better than them.
- 15:51But the honesty here is is right in front of your face face.
- 15:57But the Yankees organization are built on winning.
- 16:01That's what this organization's all about.
- 16:04And you can argue right now that the Yankees are not a winning
- 16:08organization right now. They're playing the Angels, the
- 16:13Angels, and yes, the Angels are all they're 8 and 9.
- 16:17They're playing decent baseball right now.
- 16:21But this isn't the Angels with Albert Pool Halls and my Trout
- 16:25in the the prime of his career. It's not that Angel team, oh
- 16:29Tiny on this roster. Oh Tiny's playing for another
- 16:32organization. Paul Holes was managing in the
- 16:36WBC. This isn't the same Angels team.
- 16:40The roster is not very good. They got some good young
- 16:45prospects. When you look at the Yankees,
- 16:50they have a 90 year old Paul Goldschmidt.
- 16:53And I'm, I'm just trying to be nice here.
- 16:56Paul Goldschmidt made the team, the United States team because
- 16:59there wasn't Pete Alonso. There was nobody there to really
- 17:02play first base. They had Bryce Harper playing
- 17:07first base and he's turned into his transition to a a fairly
- 17:10decent first baseman in the league.
- 17:14Paul Goldschmidt is a Gold Glove first baseman.
- 17:17When he was on Arizona, he was one of the best players in
- 17:19baseball. When he went to Saint Louis, he
- 17:21was one of the best players in baseball and won multiple MVPS.
- 17:28Aaron Judge is started off very, very slow.
- 17:32Last year he was as hot as any player in the first month and
- 17:361/2. As a matter of fact, a lot of
- 17:38people thought he was going to hit first 400 all season long.
- 17:44Aaron Judge's numbers are bad. They're better than they were in
- 17:48the first five games. He's hitting 233.
- 17:50Yeah, he's got six home runs and 12 RBIs, but he's got fourteen
- 17:54hits. And if this guy is not hitting
- 17:57in a lineup, good luck, ladies and gentlemen, good friggin
- 18:01luck. It's scary when your best
- 18:06hitter, one of your best hitters as far as batting averages, it's
- 18:10Ahmed Rosario, who's hitting three O 8 with two home runs and
- 18:14six RBS. Think about that Ahmed Rosario,
- 18:19that a Mets fans know who he is. He came up in the Mets farm
- 18:23system, was traded for a very good player.
- 18:29Actually they traded 2 of their infielders to get a good player.
- 18:32But that's a whole nother story. This team is not hitting.
- 18:39If you go up and down this lineup and again, when you give
- 18:44Trent Grissom a full year, $20 million contract and expect him
- 18:54to be what he was last year, this guy never hit as many home
- 18:58runs for another organization. He's a good player.
- 19:02He's a secondary player. He's not an everyday player.
- 19:04You know what he's hitting right now?
- 19:06167 with two home runs and nine RB is and eight hits. 167, your
- 19:13starting center fielder is hitting right now.
- 19:17It's a problem. You look at this team as a
- 19:21whole, it's a problem. You can make excuses up and down
- 19:26and say well, the Yankees will figure things out, which I do.
- 19:29I do believe the Yankees are going to figure something out.
- 19:33Now I get to Jazz Chisholm, or may I say Jazz Jism.
- 19:43This man is energetic, unique, fun to watch, as people would
- 19:51say, smart, educated, or do we believe that?
- 19:57I would say no. This is a guy that all season
- 20:01long says he's he's worth a significant portion of money.
- 20:07He thinks he's worth a lot of money.
- 20:10He thinks he's going to get an 8 year, nine year extension.
- 20:14He's still young, 2829 years old.
- 20:17He's looking to to wheel and deal for the New York Yankees or
- 20:22somebody else. This man is batting 180.
- 20:26He has zero home runs, by the way, only at three home runs in
- 20:30the Home Run Derby. Yeah, and he went out in the
- 20:33offseason, this offseason saying that he's gunning for 50 home
- 20:37runs and fifty stolen bases. This is what this man came out
- 20:42on multiple podcasts and this guy's got energy.
- 20:46This guy wears those thick necklaces and goes out there and
- 20:50struts himself and says, oh, I'm Jazz Chism.
- 20:55I'm marrying some TV star bad girls.
- 21:00Anybody watch that TV show? Well, he's he's engaged to one
- 21:02of those bad girls. This player that is one of the
- 21:09elite second baseman in the MLB, elite, elite.
- 21:16Now, this is not a playoff game. We did see him have a lot of
- 21:19blunders, defensive blunders against the Blue Jays.
- 21:23He was one of the he was the reason why the Yankees, I don't
- 21:26remember what game it was in the playoffs when they were matched
- 21:29up against the Blue Jays. One of the games that they lost
- 21:32was because of a mistake he made defensively on the field.
- 21:37And this guy is quoted to be one of the best second baseman,
- 21:41defensive second baseman in baseball and he comes out after
- 21:49making a mistake, a blunder that cost the Yankees a game against
- 21:53a Rays. The Yankees get swept by the
- 21:57Tampa Bay Rays. They don't even have a home.
- 22:00They don't even have a stadium right now.
- 22:05And you go out there and you admit on not knowing a rule
- 22:10about a double play. You've been playing baseball
- 22:12your whole life. You've been in the majors for
- 22:14about 8 or 9 years. You've been an elite player in
- 22:17the league. And you go out there and you
- 22:20speak to the New York media. Think about this.
- 22:23The worst thing you can possibly do, Quentin, you know, you play
- 22:26for The Jets. You understand what you should
- 22:29say and what you shouldn't say to the media.
- 22:32This man went out there after the game and says, I didn't know
- 22:37the rule all these years. I don't know the rule of
- 22:44baseball double plays. I have no idea what the rule is.
- 22:49And then your Aaron Boone comes out there and tells everybody,
- 22:54including the media after the game, is Jazz is a smart guy.
- 22:58He's not stupid. Really the dumbest thing you
- 23:01could possibly do is go to the media after the game and tell
- 23:05the media. What I would have done is I
- 23:07don't want to speak to the media.
- 23:08I've got nothing to say. I'll let this cool down.
- 23:11I'll I'll speak to the Yankees PR manager and I'll figure out
- 23:15something that could clean this up.
- 23:18You don't go out there and tell the media.
- 23:21Well, I don't I I don't know the rules.
- 23:23Of the game. Don't you get fined?
- 23:24Don't you get fined if you don't speak to the media though?
- 23:26No, not really. In baseball In baseball I would
- 23:28take. I take the fine, Yeah, I would
- 23:31take the fine. I would not go out there and
- 23:34speak to the media because now the Yankee fans, the media
- 23:38thinks that this guy's a complete ass.
- 23:41He's an idiot. You're an elite player at your
- 23:45position. You're expecting a $250 million
- 23:49contract at the end of the year. Jazz just lost whatever big
- 23:53money that he was thinking that he was going to make no matter
- 23:56what he does for the rest of the year.
- 23:58Everybody thinks this man is an idiot.
- 24:00He's dumb. And then you have Aaron Boot
- 24:02come out and say, well, he should learn how to answer the
- 24:07the questions better. Well, how much better do you
- 24:09have to answer a question? Think about it.
- 24:12Somebody asks you a question, you answer it.
- 24:15He's he's blunt. We all know that Jazz Chisholm
- 24:19is blunt. Every time he comes out and says
- 24:23something, doesn't matter if it's a podcast, speaking to the
- 24:25media, he is going to be blunt no matter what.
- 24:30And he was blunt, and being blunt makes you think or makes
- 24:35you realize how stupid you are. The Yankees will shout out to
- 24:38them for breaking that five game losing streak.
- 24:40You know we will celebrate the one win just as we always do
- 24:44with Yankees baseball wins. But overall, I think they are
- 24:49kind of inconsistent in regards to the start of the game.
- 24:52I think looking back over the box score, anywhere between that
- 24:57third and 5th, they're just going 0.
- 24:59Like over the last five or six games it's just been zero.
- 25:01They haven't got no run. So I think it didn't late in the
- 25:04ball game they, you know, pick it up and be very aggressive.
- 25:07And I think the teams that have beat them have beat them on the
- 25:11front end because they may have scored one or two points.
- 25:14And then on the back end, when when the Yanks recover ground,
- 25:19it just isn't enough for them to overcome.
- 25:22Because those one or two points that the other team has got in
- 25:25the 1st and 2nd inning, they ain't, they ain't able to
- 25:28overcome it. So I say, you know, I think
- 25:30that's pretty much their issue right now.
- 25:33You know, last night Judge and Trout had a hell of a show and
- 25:38and home run show felt like the Derby a little bit.
- 25:41But yeah, they had a hell of a show last night and I think that
- 25:44won't win. Kind of will help them get some
- 25:46momentum going forward. The Yankees last night, 11 to
- 25:5010, It was a horrible bullpen effort.
- 25:53We got to, we got to hit, hit our old buddy Louisa, go over
- 25:56there. The Angels are terrible.
- 25:58The Angels look just terrible. We know they're terrible.
- 26:01Mike Trout's a Hall of Famer. Every once in a while he does
- 26:03something like this. Especially when you put up guys
- 26:05in the bullpen that are terrible.
- 26:07Right after the game, the Yankees demoted Jake Bird, who
- 26:09they got traded for at the trade deadline last year.
- 26:12They had to demote them last year.
- 26:13Guess what? They're demoting him again this
- 26:16year, too. And the bullpen's terrible.
- 26:19And they barely won that game. Thank God for Trent Grisham
- 26:21having the first good game of the entire season.
- 26:23Errol mentioned it before. Looks like he's coming back in a
- 26:26second, but Grisham hadn't done anything all season.
- 26:29He got 90% of his stats for the season in yesterday's game.
- 26:33Thank God that they did, or else they would have lost.
- 26:36Right, exactly. But, like, how is this
- 26:38sustainable? Errol, did you know that Ahmad
- 26:42Ahmed Rosario is batting third tonight for the Yankees?
- 26:45Well. 3rd Aaron Boone is going to play the best and the more
- 26:49hotter hitters. That's what he does and he's
- 26:51going to follow analytics. The Yankees have always done
- 26:54that. And the way upstairs works, the
- 26:56way Brian Cashman works, he's got the, I, I guess the science
- 27:01right behind what the Yankees like to do.
- 27:03The mathematical statistics, those those, I guess doctors or
- 27:08whatever they call themselves professors up there figuring out
- 27:12what player is hot what, what player hits better against this
- 27:15lefty, this righty. And I'm not saying Ahmed Rosario
- 27:19is the best hitter on this roster.
- 27:21He's just been one of the hotter hitters on this roster.
- 27:24So they're going to play the hot hand.
- 27:25This is what the Yankees do, and this is what the Yankees have to
- 27:28do because it's been cold. Right now, the Yankees are down
- 27:313 to nothing against the Angels, three to nothing.
- 27:34This is an Angel team that's been one of the worst teams in
- 27:37baseball. One of the worst teams in
- 27:39baseball. Back-to-back to back home runs
- 27:42they gave up. Back-to-back to back to Trout,
- 27:44Adele and Solar. Who's on the mound tonight?
- 27:47And it's a Weathers who pitched great last time.
- 27:49They're getting to him tonight. Weathers hasn't He's played.
- 27:52He started three games. The first two games they've been
- 27:55iffy. I don't know if he played well.
- 27:56His second game. He hasn't been consistent.
- 28:00What is this, his third or fourth game?
- 28:01It might be his fourth game. I think it's his fourth.
- 28:03He had the 8 innings, 7 KS. So that was the that was his the
- 28:07third game. So the first two games he was
- 28:10really, really bad. He wasn't good.
- 28:12His first game was horrible. He was the worst out of the four
- 28:16pitchers in the rotation in the first four games of they won
- 28:20that game, but he wasn't hot. I think the Yankees won seven to
- 28:25five and they came back in the 8th inning, if I, if I'm not
- 28:28mistaken. So the Yankees have been,
- 28:30they've been one of those teams that have been hot and cold and
- 28:34they were very hot in the beginning of the season.
- 28:36Everybody was excited. Look at this team.
- 28:38They're hitting, they're pitching, but now they're bats
- 28:41are cold. And this is something that the
- 28:42Yankee fans were crying about before the season started.
- 28:47And he said, well, how Steinbrenner didn't make enough
- 28:50moves, he didn't spend enough money.
- 28:52And Brian Cashman, the mad scientist, really didn't find
- 28:57or. And go out there and and bring
- 28:59in evaluate players that fit this roster, especially when it
- 29:03comes to get knocking runs in. And the Yankees have been one of
- 29:07the worst teams in baseball year in and year out.
- 29:10The Yankees haven't been a team that knocks in runs in scoring
- 29:14position in the last 10-15 years.
- 29:16They've been one of the worst teams in baseball, especially in
- 29:19the second-half. And the one thing I could say
- 29:21about the Yankees, which they've been very good over the last 3-4
- 29:25years, is their bullpen in the first half have been dominant,
- 29:30absolutely dominant. And now we're going into what,
- 29:341718 games of the season? And their bullpen has not been
- 29:39dominant. As a matter of fact, the last
- 29:40five games, their bullpen has been horrible.
- 29:43They don't have a closer. A lot of people were complaining
- 29:46about that. They let Devin Williams go to
- 29:48the Mets. Now, I'm not saying Devin Devin
- 29:50Williams was a world beater for the New York Yankees, because he
- 29:53wasn't. But he was better than anything
- 29:56they have. And right now the Yankees don't
- 29:59have a legitimate closer. They don't have a legitimate 8th
- 30:03minute guy, 8th in a guy. And and that to me is a big
- 30:07problem. We're expecting Rodon to come
- 30:09back. We're expecting Schmidt to come
- 30:11back. We're expecting Garrett Cole to
- 30:14come back. And this rotation can become
- 30:16unhittable. But here's the problem.
- 30:19It they could be as unhittable as they possibly can.
- 30:22If they can't hit, it doesn't matter how unhittable they are.
- 30:26You need to score once to win the game.
- 30:28And they're just not. And then you have guys, stupid
- 30:31guys like Jazz Chisholm, going out there and making the
- 30:34organization look Dumber because you have a dumb baseball player
- 30:39that doesn't know the rules, doesn't understand the game as a
- 30:42whole. And that is, to me worrisome
- 30:45because you're going into a a season where a lot of people
- 30:49believe the Yankees are the best team in the American League.
- 30:51The American League is not really that good.
- 30:53The National League, they, they're, to me, they're by far
- 30:56the best league. When you think about the
- 30:58Dodgers, you look at the Diamondbacks, you look at the,
- 31:01the Mets are going to figure things out, the Phillies, the
- 31:03Braves, and and then you have the Cubs.
- 31:06Saint Louis might be good this year.
- 31:08Cincinnati looks good. Pittsburgh's actually pitching
- 31:11right now. There are a lot more talented
- 31:14young teams in the National League than they are in the
- 31:16American League. There's nothing.
- 31:18Seattle's been up and down so far.
- 31:20We'll see what Seattle's going to be 50 games, and we don't
- 31:23know what these teams are going to be because it usually takes
- 31:2640 to 50 games to kind of be more understanding of where the
- 31:33season is going with these teams.
- 31:35The Yankees right now, I do not think the Yankees are as bad as
- 31:39they've played in the last past week and a half.
- 31:41I think they're a lot better. But when you can't hit and you
- 31:45had Giancarlo Stan, who's one of he was the first week and 1/2
- 31:49was the hottest hitter in baseball.
- 31:51He was player of the week and now he can't hit a lick.
- 31:56I worry because his elbows, he came out and said in the
- 31:58offseason that a lot of people don't think he could play 140
- 32:01games. I don't think he's going to be
- 32:03able to play 140 games. He's a bona fide DH.
- 32:07That's what he is. He's not playing in the
- 32:09outfield. And by the way, the Yankees have
- 32:11too many outfielders because they have Jason Dominguez, who's
- 32:14hitting over 300 right now in in in AAA in their farm system in
- 32:18Trenton. And you have a guy, a young
- 32:21power left-handed hitter that everybody wants to see in
- 32:24Spencer Jones. But you have Brian Cashman
- 32:26coming out and saying, well, we in Grissom, we trust this
- 32:32outfield is not good as far as when it comes to offense.
- 32:38We don't know who their everyday left left fielder is.
- 32:43Grissom is not an everyday center fielder.
- 32:46Aaron Judge to me, is the only bona fide real outfielder.
- 32:51Now everybody's going to say Bellinger.
- 32:52I think Bellinger should play first base.
- 32:56I think he should play first base.
- 32:57Now, what are you going to do with Rice?
- 32:58I think Rice, Rice should should be an alternate, a rotating
- 33:03player at the catcher position. Wells is up and down.
- 33:08We don't know what Austin, he looked very good in the WBC.
- 33:11What he's done over the first couple of weeks of the season.
- 33:14What's he batting, 18170? He's been horrible.
- 33:18I don't have his batting average in front of me.
- 33:20One 67167. Rice has been one of their best
- 33:25hitters. He still can catch.
- 33:28He's he's a good catcher. He's not better than Austin
- 33:32Wells, but Austin Wells wasn't good.
- 33:35He figured it out his last year, year and a half, how to catch.
- 33:39When the Yankees brought him up, they didn't.
- 33:40When they drafted him from Arizona, they thought he was a
- 33:43first baseman. That's what he was, a power bat
- 33:46that could play first base. He will never be a catcher.
- 33:49He worked really, really hard in the farm system for three years
- 33:53before he got called up by the Yankees.
- 33:55He's become a competent catcher, not a great catcher, a competent
- 34:00catcher. And why?
- 34:01Because he was one of the hotter hitters in the WBC for the
- 34:05Dominican Republic. We think this guy is better than
- 34:07he is. He's not.
- 34:10I'm going to, I'm going to bet that Rice is might not be a
- 34:15better catcher. I think they're similar at the
- 34:17position, but he's a better hitter.
- 34:19His on base percentage is a lot better than Austin Wells and it
- 34:22tells me that Rice will be in the line up every single game.
- 34:26And and I'm going to put the better defensive player, a Paul
- 34:29Goldschmidt or a Bellinger at first base.
- 34:33And I'm going to figure out who I'm going to bring up in the in
- 34:36the farm system. Is it a Jason Dominguez or a
- 34:39dispenser Jones or Trey Trent Grissom.
- 34:42He sucks. There is no, honestly, there's
- 34:48no charisma here besides Jazz Chisholm and what he does on and
- 34:55off the off the field. Everybody says Aaron Judge is a
- 34:57nice guy. I was talking to Nick about it.
- 34:59How nice of a guy. He's fun to be around.
- 35:01But everybody else, it just looks like nobody wants to be
- 35:05there. Think about it.
- 35:06Watch the games. Anybody watching the games, half
- 35:08of those players in the dugout, when they fall behind, they look
- 35:11like they don't even want to be there.
- 35:13They want the game to end. That's how bad it looks for the
- 35:16Yankees. And what do they have?
- 35:18They have the cameras on Aaron Boone, Aaron Boone, and I like
- 35:22Aaron Boone. I worry that Aaron Boone is
- 35:27digging himself a hole, a hole which they're going to put his
- 35:32coffin in by the end of the season because this coffin is
- 35:37going to send them down 6 feet under.
- 35:39And every single one of the executives for the New York
- 35:42Yankees, including how Steinbrenner and Brian Cashman
- 35:45are going to help throw the dirt on his tomb.
- 35:49That's, that's the way it's going right now for Aaron Boone.
- 35:51There is no way this guy this season is going to be able to
- 35:58fix what the Yankees could be if they keep playing like this.
- 36:04There's no way. Now, there's a lot of mediocrity
- 36:06too in baseball right now. There's a lot of besides the
- 36:08Dodgers, there's a lot of teams that are like 9 and five, nine
- 36:10and six. And the Yankees in Mex are right
- 36:11now stuck in this cluster of that.
- 36:13And the Mets, it's a different issue.
- 36:15Their stars are not hitting. I think the Yankees, you got
- 36:17judged not hitting, but I think a lot of.
- 36:19Their I'll get into the Mets, don't you worry.
- 36:21There are other core pieces are hitting.
- 36:22The Mets stars aren't hitting, but they have guys like Robert
- 36:24and guys like Alvarez that are hitting and both teams are
- 36:26pitching in the starting rotation pretty well.
- 36:28Bullpens are kind of up and down.
- 36:30The Mets I worry about a little more because besides Lindor, a
- 36:33lot of those guys have had up and down offensive years in the
- 36:35past. But shed, I didn't like the
- 36:36contract from the start. I know you didn't either.
- 36:38Errol and Simeon, we'll see what kind of year he has.
- 36:40Usually good in the first year teams, but not great here.
- 36:43And both these bullpens have been very rocky so far.
- 36:45Mendoza, I'm not going to blame entirely on it, but he doesn't
- 36:48look great so far. But yeah, he definitely could be
- 36:50on the chopping block first among any manager in baseball.
- 36:52And Boone, I agree with you, I do like him, but he's definitely
- 36:55running himself out as well. Before we move on, we have a
- 36:58caller that's been waiting for a while, Mr. Brian Snow.
- 37:02Evening, Jess. How are you?
- 37:03What's up, Brian? What's going on?
- 37:07Brian, I love your passion about the Yankees Arrow, and
- 37:11everything you are saying about them and about New York baseball
- 37:14is correct and love the analogy that you put together about this
- 37:19season being killed for Aaron Boone and they're going to bury.
- 37:23They're going to bury him. The problem I have with that is
- 37:27Aaron Boone should have been buried two years ago, but he
- 37:31bought equity when he took the Yankees on a miracle run to the
- 37:36World Series. That was that is what happens in
- 37:39sports nowadays. You can have the sorriest
- 37:42roster, the sorriest situation, Kyle Shanahan, I'm looking at
- 37:45you. But when you take and and y'all
- 37:48know I'm a 49er fan in my heart. But when you take a team to the
- 37:53ultimate round, the championship round, you wind up buying
- 37:56equity. And Aaron Boone has bought
- 38:01equity because he took the Yankees on that miracle run in
- 38:04the championship. Now, is this it for Aaron Boone?
- 38:08No. I'll change the question.
- 38:10Should it be it for Aaron Boone? I don't.
- 38:13And that staff. I will say this and Brian, I'm
- 38:15sorry to cut you off, but I do believe that the Yankees
- 38:19organization loves Aaron Boone because he's a yes man type of
- 38:22matter. He says what?
- 38:24Brian Cashman tells him to sit Brian.
- 38:27Brian Cashman tells him to eat. Brian tells him to smack
- 38:30somebody'd ass in the bullpen. He's going to do that every
- 38:34single thing Brian Cashman tells Aaron Boone to do, if he tells
- 38:39him to sit, bark like a dog, I think Aaron Boone's going to do
- 38:43this is this is Aaron Boone. He's a yes man type of guy.
- 38:46And that's why I think the reason why Aaron Boone still has
- 38:49a job and I like Aaron Boone. I think he's a company manager.
- 38:53He's one of the better managers in baseball, but it doesn't show
- 38:56because guess what? He manages the New York Yankees.
- 38:58He has arguably the the best player in baseball and Aaron
- 39:02Judge, who's your best? And he's one of the biggest
- 39:05superstars in baseball. You have a great pitching staff
- 39:08with Max Free and then you have, I'm sorry, Garrett Cole coming
- 39:11back. You have Schlittler who looks
- 39:13like he's going to be a young star for the New York Yankees.
- 39:15This this team is cluttered with talent.
- 39:18But guess what? They get into these situations
- 39:21that you, you, you just like. You ever watch Jose Canseco play
- 39:26when when he was playing for the Oakland Athletics, all the
- 39:28blunders and the mistakes that man made and it had nothing to
- 39:31do with steroids, ladies and gentlemen.
- 39:32That had nothing to do with a ball hitting him on the top of
- 39:35the head and going out right. That was a blocker.
- 39:38How about the time that Jose Canseco tried to go up for a
- 39:42ball that looked like it was going over the going over the
- 39:45fence and the ball falls right in front of him?
- 39:48I mean, it reminds me of Jose Canseco, by the way, was a
- 39:52Yankee. And I think he did win a World
- 39:54Series with the Yankee or Yankees, or he was a part of a
- 39:57World Series run for the New York Yankees.
- 40:00But nevertheless, Jose Canseco was a joke.
- 40:04He was overrated as a player. A lot of people were big fans of
- 40:07Jose Canseco, but the guy made more blunders than great
- 40:11catches. Or yeah, he had a lot of power
- 40:14in his bat, but it could have been steroids.
- 40:16It could have been something else.
- 40:17He wasn't. He wasn't his brother, Ozzy
- 40:20Canseco, his twin brother, who couldn't hit a lick in the in
- 40:22baseball and didn't really run out to anything.
- 40:25Why am I saying this? Because Aaron Boone comes from
- 40:28an organization and comes from a family of success.
- 40:32Look at what his father was as AGM.
- 40:34Look at what his player, what his brother was as a player.
- 40:37This guy got this job from the for the New York Yankees, not
- 40:41because of management experience.
- 40:43He got this job because of who his family is, because he, him
- 40:47and Brian Cashman are butt buddies.
- 40:49They love each other. They'll kiss each other's ass.
- 40:51He got this job over Don Mattingly.
- 40:54Don Mattingly. No, I'm not saying Don Manley is
- 40:56a world beater. He's a championship manager
- 40:58because he never was. But this is a guy that was a
- 41:01face. He was the captain of the New
- 41:03York Yankees in the 80s. He was Donnie Baseball.
- 41:06What the hell? And I repeat myself, what was
- 41:08Aaron Boone? He had a home run against the
- 41:12Boston Red Sox, which was incredible.
- 41:15But that was was the only thing he was remembered that as a New
- 41:17York Yankee. And then what happened the year
- 41:19after that? He plays in a basketball pickup
- 41:21game, He hurts himself, he tears his ACL and his career with the
- 41:25Yankees over, over. Remember that.
- 41:28Over, over. Think about it.
- 41:32Same with I can make the same comparison with with with Kyle
- 41:36Shanahan because his dad, Mike Shanahan was the LC of the 49ers
- 41:40in 94 when they won that, when they won the Super Bowl.
- 41:44So again, it goes back to my argument of buying equity.
- 41:46Kyle Shanahan bought equity, especially with San Francisco
- 41:50after the blunder in Atlanta. Dear God in heaven, don't get me
- 41:53started on that. And two blunders against Kansas
- 41:56City, Both of those should have been blowout wins for the 49ers.
- 41:58Don't get me started on that. But at the at the same time,
- 42:03Kyle Shanahan has gone from an offensive coordinator to
- 42:06becoming a yes man. And this is a guy, and I'll say
- 42:09it again, you know me. You've been on my show with me.
- 42:12This is a guy that has been a 49er fan since 1981.
- 42:15I've seen my share of, I see my share of great coaches.
- 42:19One of my favorites of all time is the great Bill Parcells with
- 42:22the with the New York Giants. But part of the culture today is
- 42:27that you hire folks to be yes men and not actually coach and
- 42:31or manage the game. That's just how far some sports
- 42:36and how some how far some teams have fallen.
- 42:41Joe Girardi. Everybody.
- 42:43Every Yankee fan loved Joe Girardi.
- 42:45Why? Because he won a World Series in
- 42:462009. Did he win a World Series?
- 42:49No, he didn't. How?
- 42:50Steinbrenner decided to spend money in the offseason.
- 42:53He brought CC Sabathia, AJ Burnett, and Mark Teixeira, who
- 42:58by the way, they stole from the Boston Red Sox again.
- 43:01They stole a rod from the Boston Red Sox, and they stole Mark
- 43:04Teixeira from the. Boston Red Sox.
- 43:07Boston Red Sox, they win one World Series.
- 43:09Why? Because it was their first year
- 43:11in their new stadium and Mr. Steinbrenner was he wasn't
- 43:16healthy, he wasn't doing very well.
- 43:18And, and Mr. Steinbrenner, they wanted to make sure how, wanted
- 43:21to make sure that this team was going to win again before their
- 43:25father was going to go. And what happens?
- 43:27They did, They win 2009. Their father, their father
- 43:30passes away at the end of 2010, 2011.
- 43:33So he experienced one last championship.
- 43:36And guess what? When was the last time the New
- 43:38York Yankees won a championship? 2009 Two. 1009. 2000.
- 43:45Nine, 2009, ladies and Gentlemen, 2009.
- 43:49The first year of the the first year of the house that Jeter
- 43:52built. Whatever you call.
- 43:53It that's the last time. That's the last time the Yankees
- 43:56won a world championship and they got a miracle run in 2024.
- 44:02But then Freddie, how did Joe Davis put it?
- 44:05Giddy Meet Freddie. And we all know what happened at
- 44:08the time and we all know, we all know what happened with the rest
- 44:10of that series. They're not hitting now, they're
- 44:15they're not hitting now, they're not playing good now.
- 44:18It's going to be a while before they do start playing good.
- 44:20And I agree with, but you said that it takes a A-Team 40 to 50
- 44:26games, maybe a little bit beyond if youth is involved.
- 44:29My White Sox can attest to that right now to see how good a team
- 44:34is going to be or if if you can make an adjustments to go on a
- 44:38playoff run or if you're just going to be scouting the rest of
- 44:41the season. But, and, and oddly enough, a
- 44:45note about 2009, who they beat to win the Pennant, the team
- 44:48that's beating them right now, the Angels.
- 44:50Oh. Please.
- 44:51When they were and the and as far as the Angels go, they have
- 44:55wasted Mike Trout. Period.
- 44:59They have wasted Mike Trout's career and the and it's a team
- 45:03that don't even that. They don't know if they want to
- 45:05be called the California Angels. They don't know if they want to
- 45:07be called the Anaheim Angels, but they have wasted Mike
- 45:10Trout's career. The blood sucking angels,
- 45:12because it seems like yes, everybody that goes there, they
- 45:16completely die. Rendon.
- 45:17Anthony Rendon. Anthony Rendon, he gets this big
- 45:20time contract, he goes to the Angels, he have, he plays like
- 45:2456 games, 56 and gets over $200 million, almost $200 million to
- 45:29never. Know more?
- 45:31This guy played 56 games in I think five years.
- 45:36He barely played and gets all that money.
- 45:38It's very Angel like Albert Pools.
- 45:40He goes over there do. They same thing.
- 45:42Never they, never winning and and.
- 45:44And remember, Rendon was coming off of a world championship that
- 45:47he won with the Washington Nationals, and not many people
- 45:50knew who the hell Anthony Rendon was until he won.
- 45:53He won in Washington. Absolutely agree, Brian and I, I
- 45:56want to get into the Mets. So Brian, keep listening, my
- 45:59friend. We love you and I, I think
- 46:01you're fantastic. Brian Snow Snowman in the
- 46:03morning, he does a show on our network.
- 46:05He's fantastic. Check it out.
- 46:08Worldwide sports radio network, sensational, great takes.
- 46:11Brian, keep listening. Listening, my friend, we love.
- 46:14You, I appreciate you. Thank you very much.
- 46:15I appreciate it. Bryant Snow, ladies and
- 46:17gentlemen, fantastic, great person.
- 46:19I'm telling you one of the best play by play guys.
- 46:21And by the way, for for you to understand Q, he actually lives
- 46:26in North Carolina, so he's right.
- 46:27There, Come on, he's from Why you tell me why he was on.
- 46:30Shout out to North Carolina. North Carolina.
- 46:33North Carolina. North Carolina.
- 46:37Yeah. Kakalakki.
- 46:38I want to get into the Kakalakki's of the New York
- 46:40Mets. I'm not a Met fan, but I feel
- 46:43for the Met fans. I feel for the New York Met
- 46:46fans. And why do I feel for them?
- 46:48Well, we knew that if Lingdor doesn't hit and Soto is not 100%
- 46:55healthy, where are they going to get this offense?
- 46:58Now, Alvarez has been good. Alvarez has been a competent
- 47:01catcher in the league, but he's hot and cold.
- 47:04He doesn't really put it all together.
- 47:05He hasn't put it all together. This guy was a top prospect in
- 47:09baseball, one of the best young catches in in not only in the
- 47:12Mets farm system, in all the baseball.
- 47:14And he's been up and down. The Mets set him down once or
- 47:16twice. They bring him back up.
- 47:18He's finally hitting. If he can stay consistent, that
- 47:21would be great. The problem here is, and again
- 47:23Lindor for years, and he's been with the Mets for a while, he
- 47:28starts very slow. He doesn't usually start very
- 47:32fast. He falls in that one, 67170 the
- 47:35first week. Then he finally cuts it down to
- 47:38220-2223 and it's slowly but surely starts to hit.
- 47:44Lynn Dorne needs to hit when Juan Soto is not 100% healthy.
- 47:47And Juan Soto came out before the season started, ladies and
- 47:51gentlemen. And what did he say?
- 47:53He said that he's the best player in the National League
- 47:57and he believes he is going to win the MVP of the National
- 48:02League this year. He came out and said I'm going
- 48:04to have one of these great all world season and I'll say this,
- 48:08he had a great season last year for the New York Mets.
- 48:10It wasn't because of him that the Mets choked at the end of
- 48:14the season. Their bats choked and their
- 48:17pitching choked. They added Peralta in the
- 48:21offseason. Peralta looks up and down.
- 48:24It's still early. We'll see if he can handle
- 48:27playing in New York and and pitching 30 to 28 starts.
- 48:31I would love to see if Peralta does that this year.
- 48:34If he does, he's going to get himself a lot of money.
- 48:38But the problem right now is the Mets fans are trying to find
- 48:41somebody to point their fingers to.
- 48:44That's what the Mets are trying to do.
- 48:46Mets fans out there like the Yankee fans crying their eyes
- 48:50out babies and who they're trying to point their finger.
- 48:54The real guy you should be pointing your fingers to is
- 48:57David Stearns, not Uncle Stevie. Uncle Stevie opens his pockets.
- 49:03He's dancing his way to a billion dollars.
- 49:06I mean, this guy has spent. He has to.
- 49:08If you look at the numbers since he's taken over the Mets in
- 49:10what, 5-6 years? This man is, is is at least
- 49:13spent $1.5 billion. He's invested a boatload of
- 49:18money on players and everybody thought it was all because of
- 49:21the casino after it gets approved.
- 49:24Now, I don't know if it's true or not.
- 49:27He's a Mets fan. He grew up in Plainview, a Great
- 49:29Neck, wherever. He's invested a lot of money.
- 49:34This trust fund baby, well, he's not a trust fund baby, but he
- 49:37has trust funds now. He does.
- 49:39His kids are going to have trust funds.
- 49:42What do they call him? What?
- 49:43What does he have? What are they?
- 49:44What do they say about Hedge? Funds.
- 49:46Hedge funds. Hedge funds.
- 49:48There it is. He's the hedge fund king.
- 49:50That's it. You see, I'm I'm not a friend.
- 49:52I'm not a what do they call that entrepreneur?
- 49:56No, I am an entrepreneur. I'm not a finance guy.
- 50:00What? What speedy this?
- 50:03This man is he's in his own little Blogger.
- 50:06This guy has made more mistakes tonight than him cleaning up his
- 50:10ass when he's taking a dump. There it is.
- 50:12Sound good, Speedy. We still love you guys.
- 50:14I don't know about that. I'm starting to really hate him.
- 50:16But nevertheless, yeah, Carlos Mendoza is going to be the guy
- 50:21that he's the odd man out. Everybody's pointing their
- 50:23fingers. I, I, by the way, my beard is
- 50:25not that Gray, just so you know, Fish, you give me like this Gray
- 50:29beard. I I'm not that old.
- 50:31It's pretty good. No, it's not.
- 50:33It's not accurate. I don't have great a Gray beard.
- 50:36I'm not that old. Not seeing in the camera.
- 50:39I I know what my beard looks like.
- 50:41Q It definitely doesn't look that Gray.
- 50:45Nevertheless, Carlos. I just typed it in Errol.
- 50:49It just that's how it made it. You know, I took a picture.
- 50:52It's pretty accurate. That's why AI is been a blunder
- 50:55over the last couple of weeks when you post up pictures you
- 50:58and speedy. I'm not.
- 51:02I'm not going to post anything up if you really want me to
- 51:04post. If I want to post something up
- 51:06of UQ, you hide that big, beautiful a bunch of hair in the
- 51:11pop of your head and then fish with his little curls in the
- 51:14front. Who ports his hair like, like,
- 51:16like he's Don Juan DeMarco, All right?
- 51:19I mean, seriously anyways. Italian.
- 51:22Mafia. The Italian?
- 51:23Well, that's a whole other story.
- 51:25The Jewish Mafia, anyway. I'm about to say you had a
- 51:28Jewish mafia. There you are.
- 51:29I'm part of both of them, man. I got both of them.
- 51:31The blood in there. All right, so.
- 51:33I will say this, and I want to get, I want to get through with
- 51:36the New York Mets and and the problems with the Mets.
- 51:38It's not Mendoza, it's not. I do not believe in that.
- 51:43I do not blame a manager. The manager makes mistakes with
- 51:46the bullpen. Has he made mistakes with the
- 51:47bullpen? Yes.
- 51:49I don't think the problem for the New York Mets is their
- 51:51bullpen. It's not.
- 51:52It hasn't been. They're not hitting.
- 51:56Jorge Polanco is batting under 2.
- 51:59Lindor's batting. He's up and down, but he's
- 52:01batting practically under two, half of the place.
- 52:05If I have the roster right now and I am looking at the Mets
- 52:08roster in their depth, I'm looking at I'm looking at the
- 52:12bullpen. But here it is.
- 52:14Francisco Alvarez is hitting over 300.
- 52:16He's he's actually, if I'm not mistaken, 3O23O2.
- 52:20So we we understand that. So he's hitting the ball.
- 52:25Mark Vientos is not hitting the ball.
- 52:26Jorge Polanco is not hitting the ball.
- 52:28Brad Brett Beatty has been up and down.
- 52:31Marcus Simeon's been up and down.
- 52:32What is he batting, 23227 there? It is 197.
- 52:36So I actually dipped over the weekend.
- 52:37Bob Burchett is hitting, what, 225?
- 52:41He's not. This guy is.
- 52:42This guy just made a $48 million a year.
- 52:45He's making more money a year than Aaron Judge and he is
- 52:49batting 225. 569 OPS. Wonderful.
- 52:54Francisco Lindor, What's his numbers?
- 52:56Francisco Lindor is hitting 170. 6176 this is your superstar
- 53:02shortstop that everybody loves then you're bringing Carson
- 53:05Bench, who? I'm not pointing my fingers at
- 53:08Carson Bench. He's still learning the game
- 53:09he's a youngster he made the team.
- 53:11You got to give him some credit there.
- 53:13But the, the big blunder is Juan Soto's on the IL Juan Soto.
- 53:17All he does is open his mouth. He he sparks and he trots in
- 53:21there in the bullpen. You know, I'm not the bullpen.
- 53:23When he talks to the media at before and after the game, he's
- 53:26not even playing. He's speaking to the media.
- 53:29This is a man that should keep his mouth shut.
- 53:31And I and I, and there's stories coming out that him and Lindor
- 53:34are not getting along. Think about that.
- 53:36Lindor and Juan Soto, two friends, they train in the
- 53:42offseason together. One of the main reasons why Juan
- 53:45Soto decided to come to the Mets, Him and Francisco Lindor
- 53:48are not getting along. I'm, I'm just telling you what
- 53:51the rumors are now, Rumorville. I'm not Josh Silverberg.
- 53:55I'm not going to throw something and I hope it sticks.
- 53:57This is the rumor, ladies and gentlemen.
- 54:00It's it's a problem. And as far as I'm concerned with
- 54:03this rotation, you're you're betting on McClain.
- 54:06And Mcclain's been great. If you look at Peralta, McClain,
- 54:10who's been a better pitcher, it's been McClain.
- 54:13And McClain started at the WBC. He he made that, that rotation.
- 54:19And a lot of people, they were what, what were they saying?
- 54:22What was wrong with him? Vertigo, his Vertigo problem.
- 54:24The Mets knew that he had Vertigo.
- 54:26The league, I, I'm sure the, as far as I'm concerned, teams knew
- 54:31that he had Vertigo. But all of a sudden at the WBC,
- 54:34it just came out, came out and about.
- 54:36Here's the facts. The Mets are going to play
- 54:38better. I expect him to play better.
- 54:41I'm not worried about the Mets more than I'm worried about the
- 54:44Yankees. Crazy to say that, right?
- 54:47But here's the reason why the New York Yankees have been in
- 54:52these situations before. And and what I've seen with
- 54:55Aaron Judge last year, he was hot.
- 54:57This guy was hitting like 450 for for the first month and a
- 55:01half and he kept the Yankees afloat.
- 55:04If Aaron Judge is not hitting and everybody says, well, he has
- 55:07six home runs and 12 RBIs, what is he batting right now?
- 55:12Batting 223? I mean, it fluctuates from I, I
- 55:16think it's closer to 2:30, but he was for the first week and
- 55:191/2, he was hitting about 170. Sweetie, you have his numbers,
- 55:23230-3233. So I was right.
- 55:25He's hitting about 2:30. If he's not hitting and that
- 55:29lineup is not, you know, building around him, especially
- 55:35they tried to move him so far, Aaron Boone's moved him at he
- 55:38was hitting first, he's hit second, he's hit third and he
- 55:41has hit clean up. I I understand them.
- 55:45The Yankees are trying to look at analytics and that they
- 55:48believe that's the way to win. Analytics are just a small
- 55:52portion of success and the Yankees over the last couple of
- 55:56years, they've they've either started very strong and started
- 56:00very slow or and they find their way in the second-half.
- 56:04I worry that the Yankees got really hot early in the season
- 56:10and now they're going to go into this this situation where they
- 56:13go into the this 6789 game losing streak and they lose
- 56:18confidence. And Aaron Boone is going to go
- 56:21out there and make excuses for this team and the way the
- 56:23organization rolls. Because everybody knows the
- 56:26Yankees are not firing Aaron Boone until the season is over.
- 56:30The Yankees don't do that. That's why Mendoza, eventually
- 56:34the Mets are going to fire Mendoza.
- 56:35They got to find somebody to blame right now, and they're
- 56:38going to blame it on Carlos Mendoza.
- 56:41It is not the manager right now with the Mets.
- 56:43It's the lineup. They'll figure it out.
- 56:45I think the Mets Beau Burchett is a career almost 300 hitter.
- 56:49This guy won a batting title. I don't think he's this bad.
- 56:51I really don't. And I think when Juan Soto comes
- 56:54back and this lineup starts to hit on all cylinders, the Mets
- 56:58will find a way because they're in a division.
- 57:00To me, as much as we heard last week that Miami might be a
- 57:04danger, Miami's never been a danger.
- 57:07Miami always fall flat on their face in the second-half.
- 57:10Half of those players are going to be traded at the trade
- 57:12deadline. That's what Miami does.
- 57:13They never keep players. They never solidify themselves
- 57:16as one of the elite teams in the majors.
- 57:18So I'm not worrying about Miami. Philadelphia's old Bryce Harper,
- 57:22Schwarber, we saw what they did in the WBC.
- 57:25They were not very good. And I don't expect this team
- 57:29they're they're more on the older side than younger.
- 57:32The Mets are actually a young team.
- 57:34They're young and they're hungry.
- 57:36I think the Mets will be fine. I worry about the Yankees
- 57:38because the Blue Jays want to prove themselves.
- 57:41The Rays are not as bad as they were as they started.
- 57:44And the Orioles, they could get hot.
- 57:46They don't have pitching. But what about when it gets
- 57:48warmer? Pete Alonso goes on one of these
- 57:50binges where he hits 10 home runs in 10 games.
- 57:54It's going to happen. I worry about the Yankees.
- 57:56Are they going to get enough offense and are the Yankees
- 57:58going to reach and they're going to trade Spencer Jones or Jason
- 58:02Dominguez, not give these kids a chance because they're in a hole
- 58:05and Brian Cashman is trying to find a way to dig themselves
- 58:08out. That's what I worry about.
- 58:09The Yankees not worried about the Mets.
- 58:10Yeah, the Mets are and Yankees are two different cases when it
- 58:13comes to their their bullpen issues.
- 58:14I think the Yankees are just trying to figure it out with a
- 58:16lot of those guys in different roles.
- 58:18I think the Mets are just trying to get guys back a little more.
- 58:21Like you look at the AJ Minter is going to be coming back next
- 58:23week, but I think you look at you look at Edwin Diaz, the role
- 58:27going in now to Devin Williams, like you said, Devin Williams
- 58:29has not been a consistent guy. He's been rocky, gotten it done.
- 58:33Is it good enough? I don't know.
- 58:34And these other guys trying to get new roles outside of Brooks
- 58:37Raley, Luke Weaver, bad last two games recently and a lot of
- 58:41these guys just finding those things with starting pitching
- 58:44that's been pretty good. Outside of David Peterson, the
- 58:45rest of the staff has been pretty good so far.
- 58:46Peralta has been a little iffy but good enough.
- 58:50The offense is the main concern with the Mets, the Yankees, The
- 58:52Mets have the upside prospects wise.
- 58:54The Yankees will see if it comes with Spencer Jones.
- 58:56Dominguez, can they keep it up will be another question.
- 58:58But you're right, based on those comments, you do have to worry
- 59:00about Cashman trading one of those guys.
- 59:03It'll be Jones, though, that they trade Errol.
- 59:05I know you don't want to hear that Dominguez is killing it
- 59:09right now. He's got 7 stolen bases.
- 59:11They're playing him in center field trying to get him to play
- 59:14center because obviously that's where they got to put him.
- 59:17If they're going to bring him up, it's Grisham.
- 59:19Like you said, he had two home runs last night.
- 59:22Let's hope he's hot in this first half and someone will take
- 59:25him from us so we could bring this kid up.
- 59:27Because I, I, it was the biggest mistake of the offseason, paying
- 59:30Grisham. They should have went with the
- 59:32kids. They should have just pieced it
- 59:34together till the kid was ready and then had it ready for him.
- 59:37He's ready to take off. He's in three, 55 with power.
- 59:40He's got a 995 OPS right now. He's crushing it on the Mets
- 59:45side of it. Errol, I thought it was Brandon
- 59:48Nimmo that was the problem in the Mets clubhouse.
- 59:51I thought that was the issue with Lindor.
- 59:53And then as soon as he left, he'd be back to being Lindor
- 59:56again. Well, Nimmo is is hit in 340 in
- 1:00:00Texas, has three home runs. He's leading off for them.
- 1:00:04He's the driver of the offense. He won the game of them for them
- 1:00:07the other day. This is a guy who averaged 2.7
- 1:00:10wore a season with the Mets. Guess what?
- 1:00:12He's already at .9 WAR in less than 20 games.
- 1:00:16He is going to have a career year and it's going to look like
- 1:00:19a whole bunch of egg on the face.
- 1:00:20They could have put him in left and put Robert in the center.
- 1:00:24They could have did that. They could have did that and let
- 1:00:26Benj get better in the minors or whatever they did.
- 1:00:28They could have had both of those guys and they were like,
- 1:00:31Nope, we're going to fix the clubhouse.
- 1:00:33I don't know. Yeah, I, I don't know, Sarah,
- 1:00:37say that I have more faith in the Mets than I do the Yankees.
- 1:00:41I think both teams are suffering what's going on in New York
- 1:00:45overall. They're having an identity
- 1:00:46crisis. There's no, nobody knows who
- 1:00:49they are with star players. Umm, far as the Mets, they can't
- 1:00:52hit. They pitched A1 no game and
- 1:00:55lost. So I don't understand how you
- 1:00:57can have faith in in the Yankees not bouncing bad, but you should
- 1:01:02have faith in the Mets bouncing bad.
- 1:01:04But I think that you know why Scott is out.
- 1:01:07So obviously when you start players out, there's some issues
- 1:01:09that goes on. But overall, I think the Mets
- 1:01:12got an opportunity. They don't have a identity, so I
- 1:01:15don't think they're going to be winning no games no time soon.
- 1:01:18I will say this, and I disagree with you.
- 1:01:20I, I look at the Yankees. They're an organization that
- 1:01:22needs to win. Now I know everybody's going to
- 1:01:25say, well, the Mets, the Mets failing to do what they should
- 1:01:28have done in the playoffs last year, making the playoffs, dying
- 1:01:30down, What they did. I don't believe David Stearns is
- 1:01:34getting fired. No matter what happens, they'll
- 1:01:36fire Mendoza. They'll bring somebody better
- 1:01:39in. They'll they'll spend the money.
- 1:01:40They'll bring another superstar manager or a manager that was
- 1:01:44let go last year, that everybody, they'll bring Tony
- 1:01:46Larussa back from retirement. I I mean, that's something that
- 1:01:51Uncle Stevie's going to do. He will spend the money to bring
- 1:01:54a big name in to fill in for Mendoza.
- 1:01:56And I remember the Mets fans, for all the fans out there, they
- 1:01:59thought after what Mendoza did his first year, this guy is the
- 1:02:02guy of the future. I like Mendoza.
- 1:02:05He's better than Aaron Booth. Remember when Met fans were
- 1:02:07like, oh, this guy is unbelievable.
- 1:02:09He's even better than the manager that he the the the
- 1:02:12organization that they left, the manager that he left on on the
- 1:02:15bench because he was assistant manager on the New York Yankees.
- 1:02:18I mean, come on, guys. And now Met fans are blaming
- 1:02:20him. It always you have to blame
- 1:02:22somebody. To me, the problem with the Mets
- 1:02:25is they have too many personalities in the locker
- 1:02:27room. It's too many.
- 1:02:29Per Lindor and Juan Soto are two major personalities.
- 1:02:34Guys, these guys love each other.
- 1:02:36I mean, they're dancing and prancing around.
- 1:02:38They do their little stupid hand gestured dances.
- 1:02:41And, and I'll say this, you can see that there's some kind of
- 1:02:45thing, some kind of thing going on in that dugout.
- 1:02:49Even I know Juan Soto hasn't played over the last week and a
- 1:02:53half, two weeks, but when they were when he was playing in the
- 1:02:56beginning of the season, you, you see there's something going
- 1:02:58on that you can't pinpoint. And again, I believe Peter
- 1:03:03Alonzo is not there because of Lindor and Juan Soto and I
- 1:03:06believe Nimmo is not there because of Juan Soto and Lindor.
- 1:03:10I think there's too many characters there and too many
- 1:03:13so-called leaders. Too many guys that are making
- 1:03:16too much money over there and think that they're going to run
- 1:03:18this organization. Why did they bring Jorge Polanco
- 1:03:21in? Because Lindor and Juan Soto are
- 1:03:23good friends with him. They played with each other and
- 1:03:25trained with each other because they're both from the Dominican
- 1:03:28Republic. They brought in Simeons.
- 1:03:30Why? Because Juan Soto and him
- 1:03:32trained in the offseason. And their butt buddies, Bob
- 1:03:35Bichette, well, they just brought him in because he was
- 1:03:37another bat and they failed to bring in Kyle Tucker.
- 1:03:40They thought they were landing Kyle Tucker.
- 1:03:41And what happened? Kyle Tucker flees and goes with
- 1:03:44the deferred Dodgers. This always seems to happen and
- 1:03:48when you have a rich Matt rich owner that loves to go out there
- 1:03:51and spend money or find a way to clean up the messes that his
- 1:03:55so-called Golden Boy David Stearns is, well, you see what's
- 1:03:59going on right now. It it's a big problem.
- 1:04:01But I don't worry about the Mets because I still think that their
- 1:04:06owner will go out there and spend money.
- 1:04:08He'll find a way. Guess.
- 1:04:09Who part Is it Mendoza or Soda I?
- 1:04:12There's no idea. I think it's Juan.
- 1:04:15So Mendoza is just a yes man guy.
- 1:04:17He comes from a Yankee organization.
- 1:04:19He's a yes man guy. He sticks up for his players.
- 1:04:22And if you notice, that's what the Mets like.
- 1:04:25They like the players running the organization over the years.
- 1:04:28Remember when Bobby Bonier was there?
- 1:04:30Does anybody remember when the Mets decided to bring him?
- 1:04:33And they're still paying that guy.
- 1:04:35They're going to pay him longer than their Palin Dor.
- 1:04:37But they they give up on their superstar players that they
- 1:04:39bring up from the farm system. Brandon Nemo, you decide to part
- 1:04:43ways with him. Then you decide to to part ways
- 1:04:46with Pete Alonso. You don't give him $130 million
- 1:04:49for three years. Your best player, your face of
- 1:04:51your organization. Then you let Jacob degrom go.
- 1:04:54You didn't want, and I know Jacob degrom didn't want to be
- 1:04:56there. I wonder why Jacob degrom didn't
- 1:05:00want to be there anymore. Maybe it was Francisco Lindor.
- 1:05:04Maybe it was the organization bidding on players that weren't
- 1:05:07a part of the organization. They decided to part ways with
- 1:05:10the players that they built this roster around and they've always
- 1:05:14giving up. What happened to Noah
- 1:05:16Syndergaard disappeared. They all did.
- 1:05:18Stephen Knox, he's playing for the who's he playing for now?
- 1:05:21Red Cardinals? I'm sorry, he jumps back and
- 1:05:23forth. You don't even know where he is.
- 1:05:24The problem with the New York Mets is they don't keep their
- 1:05:27young studs. They don't want to.
- 1:05:29They overpay guys that from other franchises.
- 1:05:31And to me, they take over the organization in the voice of the
- 1:05:35organization, like Lynn Dorrance Monsoto.
- 1:05:38You're wrong, Matt. Matt's shut down the Yankees
- 1:05:40with Tampa the other day. Whatever.
- 1:05:43I mean, he's been bouncing. I remember he was on the Red
- 1:05:46Sox. He's been with Saint Louis, he's
- 1:05:48been, he's been everywhere. But who ruined the Mets?
- 1:05:51What or ever since Steve Cohen? And by the way, does anybody
- 1:05:54remember Steve Matz had a decision to make?
- 1:05:57He could have came back to the Mets.
- 1:05:59Does anybody remember what happened the the Mets made an
- 1:06:02offer to him. What did he decide to do?
- 1:06:04He decided he did not want to go to that ownership.
- 1:06:07He did not want to play for Steve Cohen and he decided to go
- 1:06:10to Saint Louis because he didn't want to play with that
- 1:06:12organization. Anybody go?
- 1:06:14Go read the back end of that story.
- 1:06:15Why doesn't Stephen Mats want to come back to the organization,
- 1:06:19an organization he rooted for? He's from Long Island.
- 1:06:22He decides to go to Saint Louis or the Red Sox.
- 1:06:25So, I mean, I'm not blind. I'm not blindsided here.
- 1:06:28These aren't lies. Mets fans, you're listening to
- 1:06:31me. They're not lies.
- 1:06:32And for any baseball fan that wants to challenge me on that,
- 1:06:35I'll tell you to shove it in your what you're behind, because
- 1:06:38that's the truth. Yeah, Quickly before we get to
- 1:06:40our Golf Club, I didn't mention at the time when they did not
- 1:06:43pay to Grom and Steve Cohen, even though he had a good money
- 1:06:45pit, he was not having a good player relationship angle with
- 1:06:48guys. And it's always been a ripple
- 1:06:50effect since then. And Q, that I think that's what
- 1:06:51you were saying with the culture as well.
- 1:06:52And I think it rubbed P Alonzo and Brandon Nemo and a lot of
- 1:06:55these other guys the wrong way. They were never staying with
- 1:06:57that organization. They were never staying with
- 1:06:59that organization. Pete Alonso was probably smiling
- 1:07:02on his way out, smiling on his way out because he goes to a
- 1:07:05young team where he becomes a leader, a smaller ballpark, a
- 1:07:08play a ball, a ballpark that a lot of home runs go out of This
- 1:07:13guy when he gets hot, when he gets warm around Pete Alonso can
- 1:07:15hit. I mean, Citi Field, just one of
- 1:07:17the biggest ballparks, one of the hardest ballparks to hit
- 1:07:19home runs. This guy's hitting 5045.
- 1:07:22Now he's going to Baltimore. We got, I mean, Clayber Torres
- 1:07:26hit nineteen home runs in one season in in in Baltimore.
- 1:07:30So could you imagine Pete Alonso's bat when he gets hot
- 1:07:33over there? I mean, absolutely ridiculous
- 1:07:34right-handed power. So my my argument here is, and
- 1:07:38I'm not taking shots of the Mets, I'm saying that the Mets
- 1:07:41have a better chance to find their way out than the Yankees
- 1:07:43because the Yankees aren't going to go and spend money.
- 1:07:45They're just not how is not going to do that.
- 1:07:48He is going, he's slowly but surely transitioned his team
- 1:07:52into a business, not into a winning, you know, profile the,
- 1:07:57the, the Yankees mentality was when George was alive is we're
- 1:08:02losing. Oh, we're going to spend 500
- 1:08:04million here and 300 million there and 2200 million.
- 1:08:08And by the way, when he did that, they never won.
- 1:08:10They brought in Jason Giambi, never won.
- 1:08:12If you go Alex Rodriguez, they win 1 championship and they gave
- 1:08:16him two contracts by the way, 2 2-3 and almost $300 million
- 1:08:20contracts. If you go up and down the
- 1:08:22Yankees over the past with George Steinbrenner, he is dug
- 1:08:25deep into his pockets. Steve Cohen does that how
- 1:08:28Steinbrenner doesn't. He doesn't care about that.
- 1:08:30He cares about let's get this team in the playoffs.
- 1:08:33Hey, we as long as we make the playoffs and we make a run,
- 1:08:36that's that satisfies me. We're still bringing in hundreds
- 1:08:39of millions of dollars because everybody like me, Errol Marx,
- 1:08:42buying Yankee hats, buying Yankee jerseys, spending money,
- 1:08:47going to Yankee games, buying $10 hot dogs, $13 hot dogs that
- 1:08:51melt in my damn mouth because they don't even, you don't even
- 1:08:54have to chew it, OK? There you go.
- 1:08:57I'm just saying, I'm not talking about those hot dogs, but you
- 1:09:00know, I'm just saying, I'm just saying I, I'm, I'm a little lost
- 1:09:05as a Yankee fan. And for there it is.
- 1:09:07I don't, again, I don't know why I have a Gray beard.
- 1:09:10I, I look like my father in that picture.
- 1:09:13May he rest in peace, by the way.
- 1:09:15Yeah, that's I, definitely. By the way, I do not play with
- 1:09:18rubber. Duckies.
- 1:09:20I do not play with rubber duckies for any fans out there.
- 1:09:22I don't even have a bathtub. I have a big beautiful shower, a
- 1:09:26glass shower that I walk in and I enjoy it.
- 1:09:28Look at Nathan, he's smirking and he's laughing.
- 1:09:30I look at him, look at him wonderful.
- 1:09:33He looks like he's in a jail cell as we Nathan, I got to send
- 1:09:36you a picture because there's got to be some kind of
- 1:09:39transition with the background of yours.
- 1:09:41It's horrible. You look like you're in like a
- 1:09:43jail cell and Bubba's hanging out with you in the background.
- 1:09:47Anyways, I and by the way, we'll get into Rory McIlroy winning
- 1:09:52his back-to-back Masters championship.
- 1:09:55Get on, Roy. We we'll get into Rory after our
- 1:09:58guest because Jason's going to be joining us in just a few
- 1:10:00moments. But again, for all the Yankee
- 1:10:03fans and Mets fans and baseball fans, it's early.
- 1:10:06It is early. It don't matter what the Dodgers
- 1:10:09are doing right now. We saw what the Dodge what
- 1:10:11happened to the Dodgers in the middle of the season?
- 1:10:13They got hurt, they weren't healthy.
- 1:10:15And if you don't have any health, well, then they'll just
- 1:10:18buy somebody else. That's the Dodgers.
- 1:10:19But that that's a whole nother story.
- 1:10:20I the fact here is I it's still early, but if you're a Yankee
- 1:10:24fan, you can't be happy the way this team is played.
- 1:10:28And, and, and when you, when you look at the talent and the teams
- 1:10:31that they played against the Rays, they're, they're, they've
- 1:10:34always been an organization to find a way to win.
- 1:10:37They're not an organization that should scare the Yankee fans or
- 1:10:40the Yankees. And now the Angels, there's no
- 1:10:44way the Yankees are afraid of the Los Angeles Angels, an
- 1:10:48organization that spends money for no damn reason.
- 1:10:51And now the owner's decided, hey, you know what, I'm going to
- 1:10:53build around youth. I'm going to bring a build
- 1:10:55around your talent. And nobody wants to play there.
- 1:10:58Nobody wants to go over there. No veterans want to play there.
- 1:11:01And they're, they're really getting the bottom of the
- 1:11:03barrel. They're getting all all the
- 1:11:05players nobody want. And, and they and their owner
- 1:11:08says, you know what, I don't have to spend money and throw
- 1:11:11money away on players that don't play more than 56 games in six
- 1:11:15years and pay them $200 million. So Anthony?
- 1:11:18You say that when the age is up for over top of the.
- 1:11:21Field No, I'm just saying the Yankees.
- 1:11:23I know what the score is of the Yankee game.
- 1:11:25I mentioned it. They were down by three.
- 1:11:27Nothing. They were down 3.
- 1:11:28Nothing. The the IT shows you the Yankees
- 1:11:31aren't playing good baseball because the Yankees are losing
- 1:11:35against really bad opposing teams.
- 1:11:37And they start slow. Like they just start slow.
- 1:11:40They're not hitting in the first five season innings.
- 1:11:43They're not. Hitting, but they're.
- 1:11:44Facing up with them. But but Q, they're putting a
- 1:11:47platoon 3rd, 3rd baseman at second base, Ahmad Rosario, and
- 1:11:52batting him third like he's Ken Griffey junior or something.
- 1:11:55And I'm just, that's great. You don't bet him third, he
- 1:11:59can't be the three hitter on your team.
- 1:12:02That's sick. That's what like the the
- 1:12:04Guardians have done for years. Oh, we'll piece it together.
- 1:12:07We don't have money. The Yankees have money.
- 1:12:09They had guys. It drives me crazy.
- 1:12:12So wait a second. So if Kendall Jenna is hot, I'm
- 1:12:14going to put her, I'm going to bat her at third.
- 1:12:16Oh, she's hot. I'm going to just put her there.
- 1:12:18That's she could probably hit. She could probably.
- 1:12:20Bunt that as she does it. I bet you.
- 1:12:23I bet you, Kendall Jenna knows the rules of baseball more than
- 1:12:27Jazz Chisholm does. Yeah, I believe that.
- 1:12:30I believe it. I'm willing to bet you if
- 1:12:33somebody reaches out to. Her social.
- 1:12:34Media I I would bet you she knows and understands the the
- 1:12:38the rules of baseball when it comes to double place.
- 1:12:41I'm here to tell you that nothing with the last name Jenna
- 1:12:44screams education. Well, they've dated every
- 1:12:47single. Athlete we could.
- 1:12:48Point out if you were talking the rules of basketball, maybe
- 1:12:52they'd know, but I don't, I don't think, I don't think
- 1:12:54they'd get a baseball. They go to a lot of baseball
- 1:12:57games, by the way. They Dodger games because
- 1:13:00they're winning. No, actually, Kylie goes to a
- 1:13:03lot of Yankee games because she's.
- 1:13:05Dating with chalamet right Chalamet.
- 1:13:09And Kendall goes with her, so they're always.
- 1:13:11Who's at? Yankee games, they're always at
- 1:13:12Yankee. I would.
- 1:13:13I wouldn't mind. I bet they have great
- 1:13:15conversation about how many points the Yankees score.
- 1:13:18Yeah, I'm sure they take. It great.
- 1:13:21The greatest conversations. Who has the hottest wife?
- 1:13:25I don't know. The most touchdowns of of runs.
- 1:13:29You know what I would like to know?
- 1:13:30I wonder what they're speaking when they're sitting next to
- 1:13:33each other watching a Yankee game.
- 1:13:34I I could probably bet you Kylie and Kendall are talking about
- 1:13:38Aaron Judge's size in the sack. Oh, I wonder what he's batting.
- 1:13:42I wonder how long his bat is. Is it 30?
- 1:13:468 inches or 36, you know, let's get out of here.
- 1:13:50Let's get out of here. I'm just saying, I, I'm
- 1:13:53wondering what they'll be. They'll be talking.
- 1:13:55There's nothing else you just said.
- 1:13:57They don't even know what we're talking about.
- 1:13:58They just going into a baseball game and they're hanging out
- 1:14:01with Timothy, so why not? I wonder.
- 1:14:04What he's what? He's holding over there.
- 1:14:07I mean, is he batting 300 with his wife or batting 197, you
- 1:14:12know? Only smokes golf clap please.
- 1:14:15Well, somebody got a golf clap all right.
- 1:14:17My Golf Club of the day. This deserves a golf clap.
- 1:14:22No doubt. Golf clap.
- 1:14:23Golf clap. Well, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:14:28Diana Rusini decides to step down and resign from The
- 1:14:33Athletic following the Mike Rabel story.
- 1:14:36I, I, the photos that came out. Now, I don't know what she does
- 1:14:41in a private life. I, I don't know what Diana
- 1:14:44Rossini does. She likes to have fun.
- 1:14:46She's she's married and she likes to, you know, eat her
- 1:14:50cookie or eat millions of cookies and have her milk too.
- 1:14:53I mean, I mean, cookies are good.
- 1:14:55I I like them. And if I'm dipping my cookie, if
- 1:14:58I'm eating a cookie, a chocolate chip cookie, I need some milk.
- 1:15:01Well, she needs more than milk and she has a, a big piece of
- 1:15:05milk in my vrable. Let me tell you, I, I, I'll say
- 1:15:08this, I these, these ladies, these men, they're all, they're,
- 1:15:13they're superstar guys and super guy, super girl, superstar girls
- 1:15:18in the industry, in the media. They're just as big as the
- 1:15:22athlete, especially if they have a huge following on social
- 1:15:25media. Look, look at Stephen A Smith.
- 1:15:27What's he got like 30 million people following him on Twitter
- 1:15:30or X and his Instagram's got 15,000,000.
- 1:15:33I don't know. I'm just picking out numbers and
- 1:15:35throwing out numbers. The fact here is if you're a big
- 1:15:38superstar and people are following you and reading your
- 1:15:40writings and your your stories and you're out and about and
- 1:15:44you're working for ESPN, you're working for The Athletic, you're
- 1:15:47working for the caveman issue of CGQ.
- 1:15:50Oh, I don't know, she's working on something.
- 1:15:52Here's the facts. If you know people are taking
- 1:15:57pictures, you know there's paparazzi and TMZ trying to find
- 1:16:00something to write about because there's nothing to write about
- 1:16:03in sports. Don't you think?
- 1:16:05Whatever you're doing in private life, you keep it inside?
- 1:16:09That would be my advice to Diana Rusini and I don't know, Mike
- 1:16:13Rabel. Mike Rabel is a happy married
- 1:16:16man. I, I'm not sure about Rusini,
- 1:16:18but what I've heard is I think she's married too, or she's
- 1:16:21getting a divorce. I don't know you, you usually
- 1:16:25would understand. This is the way it works.
- 1:16:27Stay out of trouble by keeping yourself inside with whoever you
- 1:16:32hang out with. There's a lot of athletes they
- 1:16:34have. They're married, they jump ship,
- 1:16:35they go to hotels. They have a woman in Chicago,
- 1:16:38they have a woman in Arizona. Wherever they're going, they're
- 1:16:42going to make sure that they have a sugar Mama there.
- 1:16:45Now, I don't know about media, but Diana Rossini's a bitty, a
- 1:16:49pretty decent looking woman. If she wants a cake and she
- 1:16:53wants to eat it too, she's going to do the same thing.
- 1:16:55So my question here is why did you decide to part ways with the
- 1:17:03Athletic? All that shows me is that you're
- 1:17:05guilty. That's what it shows me that
- 1:17:09you're guilty, that you put yourself out there and now
- 1:17:12you're trying to hide something. You don't want to deal with the
- 1:17:15media, but because that's what you do.
- 1:17:18You came out with Aaron Rodgers. I, I don't remember what it was,
- 1:17:21Diana Rusini with the New York Jets.
- 1:17:23How many times is Diana Rusini thrown The Jets organization on
- 1:17:26the bus? And Aaron Rodgers when he
- 1:17:28decided, Now I remember when he was trying to decide where he
- 1:17:31was going. Diana Rusini had the scoop.
- 1:17:34She had it all and, and the truth is she had no idea what
- 1:17:38she's talking about and why, because Aaron Rodgers on the Pat
- 1:17:41McAfee show threw her under the God damn busts.
- 1:17:45That's what he did. She had nothing to say to Aaron
- 1:17:49Rodgers when he did that. But it shows you if you're, if
- 1:17:53you're a media person, if, if you can't take the fire, then
- 1:17:59find a find a way to find water or the distinguisher and get the
- 1:18:02hell out. You don't belong here.
- 1:18:05That's the facts. Me, I say a lot of crazy,
- 1:18:08outlandish things. I know people are not going to
- 1:18:11like it. As a matter of fact, they
- 1:18:13probably hate it and I could give a crap if you like it or
- 1:18:17not. The fact here is if you're going
- 1:18:20to say or do something and you know the cameras are following
- 1:18:23you or the media, as you call me, a media guy is going to do
- 1:18:29something bold to get myself into trouble.
- 1:18:32Well, I know that I'm going to have to find a way out of it.
- 1:18:35I'm going to find a way out of a maze.
- 1:18:37Diana Rusini needs to find the right way.
- 1:18:40And the right way wasn't resigning from her position.
- 1:18:43Why? Because now nobody is going to
- 1:18:46want to deal with somebody like that.
- 1:18:47She can't take the fire. And in in in this world and in
- 1:18:52this industry, the fire is bad. And sometimes you're going to
- 1:18:56say something stupid. Sometimes you're going to say
- 1:18:58something nobody likes, or you're going to sleep with
- 1:19:00somebody that you shouldn't be sleeping with.
- 1:19:04Deal with it, apologize, even if apologies don't always work.
- 1:19:10Just go out there and find your your presence to the media and
- 1:19:16make sure that you let everybody understand who you are as a
- 1:19:19person. Because now everybody thinks
- 1:19:21Diana Rossini is an idiot. She's guilty and I I mean a lot
- 1:19:26of people are going to have a lot of questions for Mike Vrabel
- 1:19:28when OTA start. They're not going to and
- 1:19:30everybody thinks that this is going to be hidden.
- 1:19:32No, it's not because now that Diana Rusini walked away from
- 1:19:35the athletic, now they know that she was guilty.
- 1:19:38She was doing something with Mike Vrabel.
- 1:19:40Who else is who else is she sleeping with?
- 1:19:42Who else is she banging? So that's the problem here.
- 1:19:46I, I, I feel that if you know that you're guilty, don't do
- 1:19:50this, don't do this, don't walk away.
- 1:19:53Be well, shit. I'm not going to say be a man,
- 1:19:56but be smart. And I would have, if obviously I
- 1:20:01would have went to my parents, I would have spoken to somebody.
- 1:20:04My PR, she's got APR person. I'm sure she got APR person.
- 1:20:07Did her PR person tell her to, to walk away and resign from the
- 1:20:10athletic? That doesn't make any sense.
- 1:20:13This is embarrassing. If you would have asked me right
- 1:20:15now what Diana Rossini did, walking away from the athletic
- 1:20:19makes her look so guilty. I wouldn't want to work her work
- 1:20:22with her. I wouldn't hire her.
- 1:20:24And this is not the first, first organization to part ways with
- 1:20:27her. I don't know if she resigned
- 1:20:29from the ESPN. I think she got fired from ESPN.
- 1:20:31But I, I don't know. And I'm not going to quote
- 1:20:34myself, but this is 2 organizations she's been with
- 1:20:37for less than five years. What's next?
- 1:20:40I mean, The Athletic is as big as they get when it comes to
- 1:20:43reporting. And ESPN is one of the biggest
- 1:20:46media places in the world. Where do you go next?
- 1:20:50Barstool, probably. Dave Portnoy is a Patriots fan.
- 1:20:51It's perfect. Well, I don't believe she's
- 1:20:54going to barstool. I don't.
- 1:20:56Podcast. She's going to get on a podcast
- 1:20:57there. Do you really want to hear what
- 1:20:59Diana Rusini has or has to say? Honestly, the only thing we
- 1:21:03should try to get her on because we want to go viral.
- 1:21:07If there's anything we need to do, we got to find Diana Rusini
- 1:21:10and get her on our show so we can get all the answers and all
- 1:21:12the questions we have. So we go viral and we say,
- 1:21:16listen, Diana, Diana, we'll, we'll hook you up with some
- 1:21:19money. We'll do what Pat McAfee does
- 1:21:21with Aaron Rodgers. We'll sip you some money under
- 1:21:22the rug. I mean, that's all.
- 1:21:24There's no way she's there's no way she's coming out and telling
- 1:21:27that on our show. We would drill it.
- 1:21:30That's why. Why not?
- 1:21:31But I mean, I don't think she, I mean, so is it wrong she retired
- 1:21:35like that? I mean, after she resigned that
- 1:21:37automatically makes her guilty or is it the right PR thing to
- 1:21:40do? Like that's just, that's the
- 1:21:42protocol in regards to when you get alleged in the scandal.
- 1:21:45Here's the right PR situation. I don't walk away the way she
- 1:21:49walked away. I do the one thing that writers
- 1:21:52do write and post it up on my platforms, on Instagram, on X,
- 1:21:58make sure that people can read it and make sure that I explain
- 1:22:02myself right or wrong. You can find a way to beat
- 1:22:06around the Bush, and I mean beat around the Bush, something that
- 1:22:08Speedy doesn't do. But hey, beat around the Bush
- 1:22:11and then find my way out. If, if I, I wouldn't resign the
- 1:22:15way I did, what I would have done is probably waited a couple
- 1:22:19of weeks, wait until everything cools down after the draft when
- 1:22:23it's not a story. And then she, she finds an
- 1:22:26organization she's going to be interested in working with,
- 1:22:29resign from the athletic and go to that organization.
- 1:22:31And it's a smooth move. Instead of I'm just, I'm
- 1:22:35stepping away. I'm resigning from the Athletic
- 1:22:37because the athletic and, and some of the guys and some of the
- 1:22:40peers that she's working with has made her look very, first of
- 1:22:44all, made her look very bad and make her feel very
- 1:22:46uncomfortable. I don't know what they're doing
- 1:22:48behind closed doors. I don't even know for the
- 1:22:50Athletic has a place that you can hang out in an office, but
- 1:22:53it's not good. It's not good for her.
- 1:22:55It's not good for who she is. And, and as a writer, it just
- 1:22:59makes her look really, really bad.
- 1:23:01So that, ladies and gentlemen, is my golf clap of the day.
- 1:23:05Thank you to all. The Spotify and Apple video and
