- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, what is going on dog pack?
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to another episode of the dog's podcast Joshua Kenny Mac and the dog back down here in the audience I am on a freaking other level high right now.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: Just got the big news before we went live here in the dog back discord episode Paul deep a desto is out here.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's right
- 0:23[SPEAKER_01]: Man, oh, man, I'm so excited.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: I am, this is like the happiest I have been about the Cleveland Browns in a long time because they suck.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: There's been nothing to be super happy about.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_01]: This is, oh, man, these are prayers answered right here.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, man.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_08]: I can't believe it.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_08]: We were talking about, you know, this great news that just came about and I was saying how I was driving and my phone's going off my first things going on like, or my Apple watch is going off and going off.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_08]: I know what a practice was done, what happened, oh no, and then this comes about.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks like a new direction for us.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, Jordan and the chat says, what does that mean for us?
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: It means that we are no longer under this dark cloud shadow of this moneyball Ivy League brain trust bullshit that we have been suffering from since 2016, Paul D. Padesso was the architect of the 131.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: He was the one who
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: was that I don't know if he was the leading, but he was part of the decision to go and get the Sean Watson.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: He is the main driver of all the stupid analytics that we use that clearly don't work.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: The past happy crap.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Just everything that has been bad about the grounds.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys have watched this show for the last two, three years.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I have been harping on this like crazy.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Get rid of this guy.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: He is a disaster chief strategy officer for the Browns since 2016.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: I believe it was a total record over all those year, what nine years, 56, 99 and one.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: We were ass when Paul D. Padesto was here.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, even you get into the point where you're Paul D. Pedesta like do you want that record getting any worse you like you sometimes you're in quick saying you can't get out of it.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_08]: We know he's not a football guy.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_08]: And he just wasn't getting the results.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_08]: He's the one who probably put his resume in first going like.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not doing this, I can't do this, you know, and I'm sure he's a competitive guy, you may even be a nice guy, but it was not getting it done here, and it wasn't doing the Cleveland Browns any favors.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's a nice guy or not, and I don't...
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: care I hated him I hated him so much you guys know it you guys know how much I hated this guy just silly like Brad says in the chat just chilling out in San Diego we got the chief strategy officer for the Cleveland Browns never in the building he just lives out in San Diego remotes in and just gets his little money ball bull crapping to everybody's ears and oh man this is like
- 2:59[SPEAKER_08]: talking about hiding out like I would think sometimes like even with this this uh move by the browns or him leaving or whatever it is.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_08]: I forget he's on the team.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_08]: Then you know, things wouldn't pan out or he'd be there for the first press presser of the year.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_08]: And then you're like, oh, this guy still does stuff.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Man, say work it.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and people the people that want to push back every time I bitch about party but desks are like, oh, everybody says they don't even know what he does.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: It the Brown official website says what he does.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: And in the right up, I didn't pull it up here.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully it's already gone.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: I hope they ditched his profile off the website already.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: But it said that he was like a, whatever, a leading thought partner or you know, heavily involved in every single decision throughout the organization.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: Like he, he was the chief strategy officer.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's his title of course he's involved in all of this stuff we're doing.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, the thing I pulled up to is that that weird quotations, he was a thought partner.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_08]: So basically anytime there was a decision, it kind of had to go through him and however he processed information for sports.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of, okay.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: So if you guys, if you guys have not seen the episode, I have a couple weeks.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I might have been a month ago.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: It hasn't been that long.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: I did like a whole episode on Paul D. Padesse and the Moneyball,
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: strategy, the moneyball philosophy that he developed, he developed out in Oakland with the athletics and then tried to bring it over here to football and go back and watch that.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: But if you've been complaining or I've heard me complain about injury barrier and the scouting department, not being able to evaluate talent, well,
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: that's kind of his strategy that's part of the money ball strategy it's it's looking at deeper analytics to make decisions on players rather than and this is quotes rather than traditional scouting methods so we've gotten a way that that's why you get players in here that as soon as they hit the field you're like
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Why did we draft this guy, this bomb, you know, and he's a, I don't want to say like he's the entire reason, obviously, I mean, it takes the whole organization to suck as bad as they've sucked, but he is a driving factor in the suck and he's finally gone.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, thank you.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: Whew, under the next one, man, on the next stuff, let's go.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: He is now going to become the head of baseball operations for the Colorado Rockies.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Good luck, Rocky fans, that blows for you guys, but, oh, if you guys saw my video, I put out real quick before this, my real ho ho ho.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I couldn't hold it back.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: I had to, I did have to edit out a couple cursey words, but, man, alive, so happy, so happy, man.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Whew, okay.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we can talk some more about Paul D. but that's the way we'll get you guys.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: If you wanna come up here on stage, I was kind of a long intro into the show here, but that news just dropped before we started recording.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: So this is so much fun.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now, we're gonna be previewing the Jets game, coming out of the by week here for the Browns on Sunday.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: So if you wanna get up here on stage and talk about anything,
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: I would say for the first part of the show here, anything prior to now, like anything before, we can talk about Deepadesta, but if you want to get into anything with Shidorah Sanders, Dylan Gabriel, Tommy Rees taken over play calling duties, any of that stuff, before we dive into the Jets game specifically, go ahead, get your hands up, and we will dive into it, Brad, I will get you up here as soon as I remind everybody if you want to be part of these shows.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: you want to be part of the dog pack discord episodes go to join the dogs dot com become official dog pack member on the patreon page think up with the private discord you get access to everything in the discord all the people in the dog pack community you guys love you guys you are the best in the world and

- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: This is the place to be such join the dogs dot com we'll get one of these dog pack members up here now Brad.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's going on, buddy.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: You got me all hyped before this show started.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_05]: Hallelujah.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_05]: Hallelujah.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_05]: Hallelujah.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, buddy.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_05]: The witch is dead.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I know.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: It's a kind of what was going on in my head.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_05]: Super Bowl super brown.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: So good.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: So good.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_06]: I was just like scrolling because I was like trying to look for the injury part for the browns.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_06]: And I saw more on the insider like was reshared by somebody about the Rockies doing something.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_06]: And then I saw I am chef here's post and I'm like, oh, oh.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_06]: And then just circle down and then I text and I texted you,
- 7:51[SPEAKER_06]: you're like basically probably like the way I do I look for so many different sources I'm like come on tell me this is not a joke please you know when it's coming from the queen and plea a plea one yeah it's true and that's right it's right uh so where else you got man uh
- 8:12[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, now, now, you know, the trade deadline we created all the best away to the Rock piece, so that was the best trade we did.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: Damn, sorry, and I will take that over any moves, and he helps.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Who needs here?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get a party, let's get that out of here.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_06]: As far as the death game, all I want us to do is not lose.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I, I just, no.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_06]: No, don't lose.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I ask.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_06]: Just don't lose the game.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_06]: That's just, now we're kind of going to the Sunday.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, just this gone.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_06]: We have a little momentum, a little positivity, and one of the browns like to do when you get positivity, they like to reign with negativity.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's like a kick-a-square between the legs.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's how they take care of business and their actual goals, are you sure?
- 9:04[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I mean,
- 9:05[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, this kind of reeks of the the radar situation last year, where we were kind of on a high, I think we may have been coming off a win.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_08]: We find out that Crosby and Who's the other guy that receiver?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_08]: They weren't playing in the game and we're like we got this.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_08]: It's on the road and it didn't happen now They lose two of their best players.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_08]: This sets up quite nice for us and you got to run that ball But let's see what happens.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to be negative.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_06]: I want to take this positivity These changes and move it forward into something big Yeah, this is bringing the positivity into positive things happening on Sunday like Quinn China getting another hundred yards rushing game
- 9:50[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that should happen, that's something they shouldn't happen for sure.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I'll let Tony up here now.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: Sounds good, man.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: We'll bring you back up.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure later Tony coming up on stage to chat.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on, man?
- 10:05[SPEAKER_01]: Tony, my man.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_08]: What are you guys doing?
- 10:07[SPEAKER_08]: We are.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_08]: It's good.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_08]: It's a happy day.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: But it brings up so many questions now, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, was, was Dylan Gabriel really Staphancy's guy?
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: Or did analytics say that he potassium said, no, this is our dude.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: We're just going to have Staphancy feeding it because he fits his offense.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_02]: Or was, you know, Shondor, another Paul deep.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like, there's so many questions that blow in my head.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: Now, especially with the wake of the trade deadline and him and Hazel have been buddy, buddy.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, did they say, hey, we're at it because we didn't agree with you with how you wanted to go by this trade deadline of all these people that we could have got or got rid of, we're going to say, hey, let's mutually part ways, right?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: You'll find a job, we're not going to fire you, you know, have said, but those are all what ifs, you know, I mean, who knows, but it's happy.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: It makes me really happy.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully we can actually go in and you know, draft a wider receiver now in the draft.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: No, say hey, this is what we need, not to say analytics BS, like we need a wider seever, go get the best wider seever.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: His name is Cardinal Tate, plays for a house state, you know, let's let's still grab them.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but, uh, reality, that's all I want to say about that, but, um, with the Jess game coming up, um, with Tommy Reese being the new office coordinator,
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I want to tell all Browns fans this, don't expect a huge difference week one.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: I know he's had a couple weeks of preparation, but it takes a while to implement if especially with the way they talked about Reese, he's going to bring in a lot of the college stuff, you know, things that they run down to and, uh,
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I believe was Alabama, Notre Dame, I think he was both that right.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: If I'm correct, he's going to bring a lot of that college thing.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_02]: You probably see a little bit more RPO action, but I don't think you're going to see a ton of it just because that's a whole new playbook.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to take guys a while to learn, which
- 11:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we'll see how that works.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: But I said, you know, for the jet's game, you're still going to see Stephiancy Stamp Mark on the game of, you know, run the ball, a lot, and everything along those lines too, which brought up my point said, I wouldn't be surprised if we see another breakout game from Johnkins, the spread of Quinn Williams out, who is one of the best run defenders in the NFL, to have another hunter-yard game, and know if it's anything like Miami, you know, don't be surprised you see two or three more touchdowns in that game as well.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: yeah i i agree with you on that for sure so uh let's see if anybody else wants to come up talk about the jet's game or anything else go ahead and get your hands up in the chat i'm going to go through my should be all about the game real quick just to fill everybody in and hopefully nothing breaks on my end or discord's end for the recording here because that was a pain in the butt

- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, so Sunday, the two and six Cleveland Browns are heading to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to face the one in seven New York Jets.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: The one in seven clearly tanking just estimated their defense New York Jets.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: The Browns started as a two and a half point underdog, like a week ago, and they are now two and a half point favorites in this game the last night checked after the Jets traded away some key pieces on Tuesday, the game itself.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Another really low, gross over under a 37.5 point over under, that is like most of our games, under 40, just disgusting.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: The Jets are plus 115 to win the game.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: Like I mentioned, the Jets traded their two best defensive players, they netted, they got rid of a sauce Gardner and, like Tony said, the Queen of Williams on the defensive line.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: They netted three first round picks and doing so and the Browns only shifted to two and
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: Because of those moves, that tells you what Vegas thinks about our offense and the Brown's ability to score points.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: Dylan Gabriel will get his fifth start.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about that too here in a little bit if you guys want to get your hands up and all that stuff.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Statistically,
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Speaking, this will go to a lot of what Tony was saying, and maybe Kenny too when he was making his point that I did not hear.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: The jets allow 335.4 yards per game to their opponents, 199.6 through the air.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: That's actually 11th best now, of course, sauce gardeners gone.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: But they allow 135.8 yards for game rushing, and that was with Quinn and Williams.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: That is the seventh worst in the NFL.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: So in the spirit of Kiss, K-I-S-S, you guys know what that means.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Keep it simple, stupid, Tommy Reese.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking at you dude.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be stupid, like the last guy who was calling plays.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: Run the damn ball.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: Get the ball out of Dylan Gabriel's hands.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: we are still wasting time in my opinion.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about it.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And we're still wasting time starting a guy who clearly will never be more than a backup, maybe he'll end up being a good spot start type of quarterback in the NFL, but that might be it for Dylan Gabriel.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: You have
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: Or you should have Quinn Sean Judd, Kins, I believe he's back to practicing and healthy now.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: So he's ready to pound the rock all game long against.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'll remind you guys a bottom 10 team in defending the run.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: And not only are they like I said, all ready bottom 10, they just trade away their best interior alignment.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: So there's no excuses.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Just run the ball, run the ball, win the game.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: In terms of points allowed, the jets give up to six most points to opponents at 27.7.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not envisioning our offense coming anywhere close to score in 27 points.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe as a team, if we get a couple like defensive scores, we could hit 27, 30, something like that.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: But my expectations for the offense alone, those expectations don't change, whether we face a top five defense or a bottom five defense.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: We just suck on offense.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: We don't score, doesn't matter who we're facing.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: So how bad is the jet-steefense?
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're the third worst scoring team in the NFL.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, our offense is the third worst scoring team in the NFL 15.8 points for a game.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a with those defensive scores that we've had this year.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: And special teams score.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: So no, I don't think the Browns offense are going to sniff 27 points at the jets allow.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: Our offense for Cleveland, we generate the second fewest yards per game in the league, just 263.5, 174 passing, which is the fourth worst, and still just 89.5 rushing, which is the fifth worst.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: So despite having quench on judgekins and some juice and spark in the run game,
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: still not very good at it.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: We are a gross football team.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: Mostly on offense defense has been, you know, elite at home.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how we do on the road this time because on the road this year has not been good.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: But on defense, we are the still the second best defense in the league in terms of yards for game allowed, 276.9, the split's 182.6 passing, that makes us the fifth best, and we allow 94.3 rushing, which is the ninth best.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: So top 10 defense in both avenues, our rushing defense has dropped in recent weeks, the Browns are middle of the pack with 23 points allowed to their opponents.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: But this opponent is the New York Jets, they are also bad on offense.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: 300 yards per game, that's better than the Browns, but it's not much better.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_01]: They are dead last in the NFL and passing yards per game, so this is the worst passing offense in the league, 156.5 yards a game, but they are the third best rushing offense with 143.6 yards per game.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: They are also bottom 10 in points for game.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: They don't score very much either just like we don't score They only score 21 a game.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: So the jet suck at passing which is why they really want to I don't know why they want to bench just Or they want to bench just who feels cuz the passing is a very good But they're very good at running which is his super power You got him you got brisol you got Isaiah Davis these guys They pose a decent threat to the Browns run defense which has been struggling of late defending the run
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: So the Browns and Jets both have 10 turnovers on offense, but the big difference of the Browns defense also has 10 takeaways.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: How many takeaways does the Jets defense have this year?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: One.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Not very good.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: So if Dylan Gabriel comes out and has multiple turnovers again in this game, it's going to be against a defense that absolutely sucks at taking the ball away.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: So let's get back to keeping it simple, do not let Dylan Gabriel throw the ball more than he needs to, and just run the freaking rock.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so let's see if I can get Kenny back up here on stage.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's hopefully he's got his technical issues figured out.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny, what do we think?
- 20:17[SPEAKER_08]: Kenny, yes, here we are right.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I can hear you.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sir, can you hear me?
- 20:21[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, I don't know what was going on.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_08]: You sounded like you were in slow motion in a robot for a while.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_08]: So, okay, so I had something going on there, something on there.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_08]: You were kind of, I hope you guys didn't talk about this one I was away, but I mean, what you need to do to beat the jets is what?
- 20:39[SPEAKER_08]: Tommy Reese did at Notre Dame, and basically what he did is he ran the ball, he used 21 personnel, and he always stayed ahead of the chains.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_08]: They, you know, one of the biggest pieces of criticism against him in the college game was that he tried staying ahead of the change.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_08]: And what does that mean is like, do you get a, you know,
- 21:01[SPEAKER_08]: one yard run on which we more likely than will with this offensive line in your second and nine he'll go right back to the run now that may not be a bad thing for this jet team that we're facing based on the rush yards that they allow but i think it sets up well enough for the people that they lost that they should be able to use the talent that they have so the tight ends in the running backs to get a win in this game and but we'll see on Sunday
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: Brad, you're up here too, man.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: What's going on?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, oh, so, three things I want from the Browns on Sunday.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_06]: First thing, I want Dylan to throw for more than, and yard, more than one time, at least like three or four times.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_06]: not just like one in place and they're like, ah, well, that's not working.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_06]: Like, just keep that ball down and feel, let me hopefully, like a Tony said kind of is like, don't expect like a whole lot of different things the first week, Tommy's in there, even though you had an extra week.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_06]: Sort of, like they're kind of like describing how the bi-week work is like, yeah, there's an extra week,
- 22:29[SPEAKER_06]: Um, because like a lot of players get like what three to four days off on that by a week or something like that.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't like that.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think they even practice till month this Monday anyways.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, um, uh, so I mean, yeah, maybe he did.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe they had like the video camera says kind of like food style with the offense.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe I don't know, but, uh, I mean, hopefully like Tommy can like be a little more creative with like some gadget stuff.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_06]: We direct snap to Quynchon again, because that worked really well, at least from the 10 yard line up to the goal line.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_06]: No, but the second thing I want to see is our defense get after Justin Fields, because we have where we're kind of thin at corner.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_06]: And every time one of these quarterbacks get a little more time running around the pocket or we leave one to two guys wide open.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what I don't want to see, especially with Garrett Wilson out there.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_06]: And then the third thing I want to see is, and this is just a real small thing, I just want to see,
- 23:51[SPEAKER_06]: you know, Andre hit all of his kicks for the game, me if you'll goals extra points just consistency.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I want to see.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm asking for small things.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_04]: Small things.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_04]: You're asking for a lot of small things.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of small things.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of small things.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_08]: A lot of small things.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_08]: I guess it's small, man.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's that small, I mean, clearly what he wants to do, they want to be more physical in their identity, like it's going to be tough with this offensive line, it just all hinges on that.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_08]: But as far as you were making the point of what Tony was saying, like, I mean, he's going to run a lot of 12 personnel, right?
- 24:27[SPEAKER_08]: He's going to want to run the rock like he was saying earlier.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_08]: So the biggest thing they do and this is going to be the hard part
- 24:39[SPEAKER_08]: you know what drives us all crazy when you add that stuff with this team is these pre motion penalties man and that's the that might be the offset of what's going to happen.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_08]: Now you said that he wants to take you want to see him take a more than a 10-yard shot.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_08]: This is like the whole mark of Tommy Reese.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_08]: Like he does these like you know almost mind you numbing runs and runs but he will take or he should take
- 25:04[SPEAKER_08]: based on his previous offensive identity, he should be taking some shots down the field.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_08]: So that will be good for Bond.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_08]: Now, I don't know what where he is with his foot, good for Judy, but the other thing that he may do that we may see is have or upgrade that screen game.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_08]: So get some short passes to genty agentes, sorry, Judy, to get him going.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_08]: And then last but not least, I hope we see,
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: We should see some bootlegs because we haven't seen anything like that all year No, I'm with you Okay, I don't know what was going on so we'll get a coat and up here Real quick, I like everything you were talking about there Kenny will all come back to some of that stuff here in a second coat and what's going on man?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_07]: See what's going on fellas?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great day.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_07]: Good day.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: Good day.
- 26:17[UNKNOWN]: Good day.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, no doubt.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, so on the Tuesday night show, Josh, you and Blake were kind of going back and forth.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_07]: And we all had different opinions, wouldn't be friends if you were.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_07]: That's right.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_07]: But you guys had different opinions of, he was kind of under the understanding, you know, that he's he thought, you know,
- 26:36[SPEAKER_07]: It's show humility that Kevin gave up the plate to these and if things go well underrease that a good for Kevin for given that up and seeing That he wasn't making right call basically showing like I said he's humility Now I'm under the understanding and I think I'm kind of saddening with you on this is that well if he knew that all while why didn't he do it?
- 27:00[SPEAKER_07]: Why would you handcuff us for eight games?
- 27:03[SPEAKER_07]: And not let our offerings perform in a level that we think, or know that it should be competing at.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_07]: And let us struggle for that long.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_07]: I think that shows selfishness, maybe a little bit of egoatism.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_07]: So I just kind of wanted to get your guys' thoughts on that.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_07]: That if Reese comes out here in this often, so it's completely different.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_07]: We're moving the football.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_07]: We look effective, and we start winning football games.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_07]: What is really the sign of that moving forward in the future?
- 27:32[SPEAKER_07]: Like I said, my opinion is just I think that's selfish and that's not what I want the leader.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_07]: So I just want to hear you guys discuss things again.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: To go to what like Kenny and Tony were talking about earlier too.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't expect it to look a whole lot different.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Our offense is just so limited.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how you can really do a whole lot more with it, honestly.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, obviously you can run the ball a little bit more, maybe run the ball a scheme, the run up a little bit better.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like any of us talk about, get to some more play actions, run the screen game a little more efficiently, stuff like that.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: But at the end of the day, it's still the same crappy players run the same crappy offensive system.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's still the same offensive system.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: This is still Kevin's offense, which in my opinion is no good anymore.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Blake doesn't agree, but I just think it's outdated and it's trash now, like you can't, it doesn't work.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: And then to kind of go on to what you're saying back to connect something Tony said about Dylan Gabriel and the Paul D. Petessa thing, I do still think
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing has changed in my opinion that Dylan Gabriel was Kevin's pick.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think he really liked him.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: I just keep going back to the draft, the draft video after they selected him.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin was gushing over this kid.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: His whole family, like he knew everybody by name, you know, I love your mom and tell everybody how I tell grandma how I all this crap.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, you know, you talk about him being selfish running his offense or, you know, continue to do the play call when it's clearly not working.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: If Tommy Reese could do a better job.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of the same thing with Dylan Gabriel.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: Darrell writers been complaining about this sense preseason.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: He said they're going to shove Dylan Gabriel down our throats and until like we're just sick of it.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I just don't think it's going to work, but I think that's what is going on.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: They're just continuing to
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: to put the worst product possible out on the field.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, I don't know what to say.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_08]: Other than maybe he waited this long.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_08]: He didn't feel I was up to playing calls up to this point.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_08]: Or calling a game up to this point for whatever reason.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's the only thing I can think of.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it really comes down to what was Dorat Cherry say.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_08]: He says something about scheme and alignment or alignment and alignment in the
- 29:49[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if Tommy Reese calls a game or Kevin Stephanski based on the way that these guys align themselves to take on their blocks or know their assignments if that's going to change anything.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_08]: Is there going to be some kind of like way that he calls the game to make that better?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how that is.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_08]: The screen games are awful.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_08]: We throw the ball off somebody's ass every time.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_08]: It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's,
- 30:14[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what's going to make that change.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what's going to make guys catch the ball better.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe there's something that he's going to do that's going to diggerate people.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_08]: But then that becomes like a kind of like I always say like a whimsical thing like all like you know that only doesn't that doesn't last too long.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_08]: So if there's a certain way that
- 30:33[SPEAKER_08]: Josh has been saying where he capitalizes on play one and play one, you can do a play action off it and then you start scheming that way, maybe that's the way it is and that ends up into buying it, you know, that's the only thing that I can think of and he just wasn't ready to this point for some reason and I think the point is is they just the offense is terrible and we need to see something else.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'll remind everybody I said the last two shows I think now when Kevin handed over play calling duties last year to Ken Dorsey nothing changed as far as the record.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't win anymore games.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we won two games over that stretch because he had a couple more games in there.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: And the points for game went down actually by like a whole point or something like that.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: So it was basically the same crappy offense.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing that did change a little bit was the overall yards output per game, but
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: Dorsey got play calling and he also got James Winston with it, so that added to that.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't mean anything else on the scoreboard or for the record.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: It just boosted the arts a little bit.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it really had anything to do with the offensive play call or switch, because if you look at like this year, we're not changing quarterbacks.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's no James Winston, Joe Flacco, Gunslinger coming in here to make Tommy Reese's numbers look a little bit better than Kevin Stephansky's.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's still Dylan Gabriel.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's, I think the limitations are vast.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Omaha Stakes.

- 33:13[SPEAKER_01]: We got a Stacey wants to come on up, Stacey what's going on.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hey guys, I'm at work so I didn't get to catch the beginning of this.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: It was a mess.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was a mess.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: We had technical difficulties.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: If I do say something that was already said, I apologize.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: But I kind of want to comment and make a little bit of an interesting discussion for you guys.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little bit about superstition.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: So when it comes just to door and him having this back injury, I'm much of it.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: Do we believe is actually true?
- 33:47[SPEAKER_00]: And how much of it?
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: I have this strange feeling that it's the coaches and by coach, I mean Kevin, that doesn't like him.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: And as he just listing, oh, he's, he's having this back injury.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: He can't play.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just something to keep Dylan in the game.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm keeping him starting.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then my other suspicion or like superstition is if Shidorah is going to start at some point this year.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: I do I feel like it's going to be the Titan's game because it will be him and can be on board facing off.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: And it'll be kind of interesting and make for maybe some better views.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of like an end of.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: precision like if they play quarterbacks and talk to coaches and say like oh you need to put them in on this game.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's just I just thought that was fun to bring home.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're good.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know you keep saying superstition.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think what you mean is conspiracy.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: And we hear a lot of these conspiracy theories going around online and me and Blast talked about it, the other night a little bit.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, Blake won't entertain any sort of conspiracy talk whatsoever.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: Where I mean, oh, I'll listen to anything.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'll listen to any conspiracy talk you guys want to talk about.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: no matter what football or non football.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Some of some things are just absolutely off the wall.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's shit crazy.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's some other things that have some validity to them.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I've been saying for a long time, though, everything we should doorstander is going back to the draft has been weird.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to describe it's just been weird with the Browns, weird with the way they've interacted about him, talked about him, utilized him in practice and
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: I and they don't really give us any clarification on anything so everybody's left to their own devices to come up with explanations for things.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I'm starting to see people say now, well, maybe should door Sanders is, you know, saying his back hurts because he doesn't want to play.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he doesn't think he's red and it's maybe the Browns are making it up.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he is really just hurt.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's crazy.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: Kenny, what are your thoughts on all the should door stuff?
- 35:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I don't know what to make of it and it's such a perplexing thing like once that draft pick was made like first of all when we had Dylan we were super perplexed and then to trade assets up and get Sanders that super perplexing right and then you know to put in in our minds based on what we were seeing in the draft.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_08]: We can't believe that Shador was not much lower than Dylan and Dylan was firing ahead.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_08]: He had the worst stats of anybody, whether that matters or not, or you track that stuff.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_08]: And we're in this position right now, we have these two rookie quarterbacks that were drafted closely together.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_08]: We're one guy is like practicing with the first and the other guy seems to be throwing to the genders and he's throwing to the ballboys and all this kind of stuff.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_08]: Brown is back out having muscular stomach muscular issues and like so so what is going on with this?
- 36:51[SPEAKER_08]: It's so weird as far as being superstitious.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_08]: Stacy probably knows I am because I wouldn't move my spot to go see anybody until it.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_08]: So we beat the Miami Dolphins, but as far as conspiracy theory, I don't think it's conspiracy theory.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't think the coaching staff really wanted Chador Sanders.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_08]: That was from either management, the guy that's leaving, and that's it.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_08]: Like it's not conspiracy, they're just not giving him a chance, I don't think.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know we going back to the preseason.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: It was, you know, what was it first?
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: The, was arm soreness or the oblique first?
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: Which one, I can't remember which, which one?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_08]: Well, thank you.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_08]: I couldn't remember.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it was oblique.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_08]: No, it was arm soreness when we were at training camp.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_08]: Because I wanted to see him and I was going to send you some videos.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_08]: And then it was oblique in the, uh,
- 37:39[SPEAKER_08]: in the preseason because I was wondering like a bleak can be bad.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_08]: And then now it's just back stiffness where I mean back stiffness doesn't keep me off a podcast or a work.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_08]: So I don't know how bad that stiff is back is.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's it is just
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Strange.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how to put it.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've talked about it a lot here.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you had Kevin's Fansky made the call to make Dylan Gabriel the starter week five in Minnesota and then there's the big controversy because he said Joe Flacco will be the backup should or Sanders will remain the QB3 emergency quarterback.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so that was week five week six for Pittsburgh.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Flacco is gone.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: gone.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: They traded them.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: So now should or Sanders has to be QV2.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: So he's QV2 for Pittsburgh, Miami, and then the following week in New England, out with back tightness this week.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's still, I didn't see the practice reports today.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you guys got it in the chat, let me know.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know he was limited yesterday.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_01]: And there's still, you know, that as Brad says, the Queen of Cleveland, Mary case, still talking about Bailey's happy could be, you know, the QB2 again, if should or not ready to go.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's frustrating.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I know where a lot of it comes from, too, because we're so frustrated watching the product on the field with Dylan Gabriel.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_01]: We all know, and I'm sure there's some of you guys out there that are like, hey, give the kid a little bit more time.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's only been four starts.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if he can grow and develop.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that's fine.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: I totally understand where you're coming from.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just coming from the standpoint of we have two first round picks next year.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: I would really like to use that first one on car and I'll take if he's available even at that spot because we're not getting him any later.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_01]: I want the best receiver in the draft.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to have to waste a pick on a quarterback if we already have a guy on the roster who can be the quarterback.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: The thing is for me, it's not Dylan.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: But it could be should door.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: I need to see if it can be in every week that we go without seeing Shador Sanders on the field as another week closer to just using another first round pick on a quarterback.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, it's just very perplexing the way that they've done the quarterback situation, but if you think as Brown's fans, you think back to 99, and even when they, they cut, cozer, pre the move.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's just, it's the quarterback situation has never, ever worked here.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't matter who the owner is, the coaches, the GM, someone's good.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_08]: I got to get someone
- 40:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_06]: Josh, you guys streaming the game on Sunday.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: We are not streaming the game on Sunday.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_01]: We had some unforeseen things come up for Sunday.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: So no, our watch party for the Jets game won't be happening.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now when we start, we originally plan to do it after the by week.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we were thinking there's a good chance that Shidorah Sanders might be starting that game coming out of the buy and then clearly that's not happening.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: So we might do another plan for another date down the road at the back into this schedule.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like Stacey said, I mean, I was saying it before the season like that Tennessee game could be a good one because it would be Cam Ward versus Shidorah Sanders.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: So that one would be a good one to do a watch party on the problem is Justin won't be there because he will be at the game.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: But based on the courts, Chicago, the week after that is when Shador is apparently slated for his first start, according to Tony Rizzo and whoever his sources were up in the state.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, oh, yeah, those guys have some grand sons.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, was that the same guys that say that we're going to get deck press cut.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, I know.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care about, yeah, so we can say, oh, as far as Shodor goes with his back issue, I saw, I don't know who posted about it.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_06]: I meant to post it in the discord, but apparently when he was in college, he had a back injury
- 41:45[SPEAKER_06]: fractures on the same front.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, one of his vertebrae.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and like I guess it lingers time to time.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_06]: So maybe it's just clarifying up as far as practice goes job.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if you saw I posted in the discord that he was a full process and been at practice today.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_06]: So okay.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_06]: So that, you know, it's promising that he'll be give me two four Sunday.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_06]: bearing any setbacks, of course.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, uh, hot take after before I leave, hot take uh, browns win by two touchdowns.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I hope so, bro.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: I have Brad's always coming in over the optimism at the end of the show for the predictions.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: My prediction would be a whole lot closer.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think that if and the thing is like, I still hesitate to ever pick the browns
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: But if they win, I think it's going to be close because these are two low scoring teams, bad off fences, we just happen to have the better defense.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're on the road, defense isn't nearly as good on the road.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: So does that kind of equalize our defense versus theirs at home?
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be a tight game, though.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: Low scoring and tight.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_08]: but they'll probably be like the Vikings game, 17 to 14, but I like I know I say that a lot, but that's basically how we have to win.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_08]: We can't score more than 14 points.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_08]: No, so that's what it's gonna be.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_08]: One thing that I'm a little bit like, I'm seeing that Harold Finn and Junior was a did not practice today and it's a hamstring issue.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, geez.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_08]: And that's not good.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, that's not good on Thursday.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_08]: Is it?
- 43:32[SPEAKER_08]: What's that?
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's not good on a Thursday report.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_08]: No, and that just popped in like clearly questions are and bond or they're did not practices either, but they were yesterday.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_08]: This one just popped on the report.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_08]: So that's not a good thing, but
- 43:48[SPEAKER_08]: Well, so we'll see what happens.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, they got to do something and we got to win.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_01]: So figure that off and so now the way practice reports typically work out, you know, if you've got, I mean, if you got the sleeper app for fancy football, you get notifications all freaking day on Wednesday because that's the first day of practice for pretty much every team of the week.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: and that's when everybody's getting listed on the injury reports of anybody's even remotely questionable or limited in that first Wednesday practice whether they're sick or they're still coming off a little tweak from the week before or whatever they get put on that limited list.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: But whenever you're a full participant on Wednesday like any saying about hero fan and then Thursday report comes out and you're a full DNP did not practice because of a hamstring.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: That ain't good.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: That is not that means it happened yesterday in practice and that really does put his status in question in jeopardy for Sunday and it sucks because he's our leading receivers.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much the only offensive weapon we have that can do anything.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think in joke who could still do stuff, but we just for whatever is king of the ball to him, I have no idea about our receivers.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's a joke.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_01]: Man, that sucks about fanon.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, having Thillman back or adds some kind of dynamic to the offense, you want to see some hard screens and you want to see some button hooks and stuff to get him to ball and get him started early because he can have the drops he's to.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_08]: The big thing is, like I was saying, about
- 45:12[SPEAKER_08]: Tommy Reese, and he's going to be in his play calling debut, I mean, he's going to want to create mismatch.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_08]: He's biggest mismatch creator, it's Harold Faden Jr., not having him's going to be a rough situation.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, the only other thing that I see happening is like he really wants to pound the rock.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_08]: You may be just deactivate Jerome Ford and then you might have where he and Sanders because he's a bigger guy.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_08]: And I've been staying that for a long time.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and also Raheem Sanders is not bitching and moaning on TikTok, apparently, about his position with the Browns.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: Did you see all that stuff?
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know if you guys in the chat saw all that, but apparently Jerome Ford on TikTok was, and I do all the social media, but I am not up on the social media, Lingo and stuff.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: Was he favoring or reposting these videos on his profile about being unhappy at work?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, hating his job or whatever, and that came after the trade deadline.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: So you got guys like David and Joker and why I tell her after the trade deadline saying, hey, thank God they didn't trade me like want to be here.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_01]: Want to retire a brown love Cleveland happy to be here and then at the same time Jerome Ford's over on TikTok, passive aggressively, you know, voicing, I guess his frustrations with the team.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm I'm really really done with Jerome Ford.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so am I. I mean, they may try to trade them, but the one thing that you have to have in the trade is you have to have a trade partner that might have not been anything anybody that want to trade for them at this point based on his low yards have yak and is in ability to get across the line of scrimmage no matter what the line combination is.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I saw somebody I figured it was on Twitter posted.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm sure the Browns would have jumped at the prospect of trading Jerome Ford for a seventh round pick.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: It probably didn't get the offer.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't think so.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: that is everything for the jet's game anybody still in the audience we got a few minutes left here before we wrap this show up if you want to come up and give any thoughts questions anything about the game party pedestrian leaving finally uh... the you know the trade deadline time you reach any of that stuff uh... get your hand up and come on up here i'll give you guys a couple minutes to decide if you want to if not them will just
- 47:29[SPEAKER_01]: wrap it up and to kind of reiterate from the top of the show, Paul Deepadesta gone heading over to the Colorado Rockies.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: I was a Tony earlier talking about maybe this was like a, you know, how shush behind doors, like it has them saying, hey, we're not going to fire you, but maybe you should go find another job.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about that necessarily.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_01]: Unless we start getting some reports like that because it seems like
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: He saw an opportunity in baseball and took it because I think that's probably where he's more comfortable.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's definitely not a football guy.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, if the Browns were going to fly on my toes, they wouldn't have done it already.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, that's the thing, he's on a decade run now and like you gave the record.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_08]: It's not good, but some point like if you're a great sales guy, you move to a company of the sales rate going your way, you're just going to go to what your bread and butter is.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_08]: You know, and that's what he's doing.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_08]: He's seen the writing on the wall, whether the Browns want to get rid of him or not.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_08]: He can't be enjoying himself.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I would even be, if I was to fanski last year, I wouldn't be enjoying myself.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I mean?
- 48:38[SPEAKER_08]: I'm Jim Schwarz, like you constantly keep selling up my defense with this awful offense, you know, I will be looking for something else.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_08]: So there's got to be a bit of not locker room, you know, this may, but there's got to be a little bit in the coaching ranks, too.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_08]: They're like, I know they want to do a job, but, you know, at some point you want to have a good time, too.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and like Colton and the chat says, it's strange though that it happened coming off of the by week.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and no, it also simultaneously taking place here was the end of the official end of the MLBCs.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: And sorry, Kenny, I know your BlueJays didn't pull it out.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_01]: That was a rough one, man.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: But so I don't know if that had anything to do with it, with the timing of this, like those organizations in base where we're kind of waiting until the official offices, I have no idea when you're loud.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know anything about baseball.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't follow it like that.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll get Jordan up here to kind of wrap things up for the day.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_01]: Jordan, what's going on, man?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, it was all y'all.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_03]: Um, so, do you guys follow Chef Zay?
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, he swears that we're going to see to Sean Watson this season.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_01]: So does Justin has been saying this since the summer he's very afraid that we're going to be seeing to Sean Watson on the field next.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_03]: So before we see should or I'm sure he's taken said that.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_03]: If it was him, he would have the Sean Watson as our starter next year and it has the doors to be behind him.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what he did with Don Gabriel, but he said that he wants to door to fight against the Sean Watson for the starting spot.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_03]: That sounds so bad to me.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_03]: But his takes are really good.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to lie.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I like that.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_03]: That's the worst one I've ever heard.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, can anyone do you got for this?
- 50:33[SPEAKER_08]: you know what you want to sell your new stadium they're already throwing the values around what it's going to cost and what is it like double triple quadruple the price for the was it the PSL rights or whatever and
- 50:48[SPEAKER_08]: You're going to put the guy out there and try and sell these to guys that currently have season tickets.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_08]: I just don't see it happening, you know, do they want some return for their money based on what he didn't play?
- 51:01[SPEAKER_08]: I could see that happening.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_08]: The pessimist in me as a Browns fan.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_08]: Fears that happening, but the realist in me goes, it just doesn't make financial sense for them to
- 51:15[SPEAKER_08]: and just pissed off an already pissed off customer base that is the Cleveland Browns fans.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_01]: I will say this.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: There's a it's not an impossibility.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because you got to remember, like, they've been talking about this forever now.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there's going to be a point, I think, unfortunately, where he's going to be cleared.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be medically cleared, and I think we're going to have to, and definitely for next season, because we can't get rid of him.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: We cannot get rid of his contract until after 2026, the off season of 2027.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's when we can get rid of him.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to be on the roster.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: and say he's active and there's a game where Dylan Gabriel gets hurt in middle of game and Shador Sanders is back tightness and he's not active that game.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_01]: We could see Dishon Watson.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: So it is a possibility.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very realistic possibility.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's there's an avenue for that to take place.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: For them to intentionally do it to say, hey, we are going to intentionally like Dishon is the starter for week whatever.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: Jimmy has them said has called him a failed trade too many times for me to think that's
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: You never know.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_08]: That's a great, that's a great point.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_08]: I reckon I'll have to bring that one up.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_01]: All right guys, we're going to wrap this thing up.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: I got some editing to do because we had those free game technical difficulties.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate everybody sticking with us through all that crap and everything and having a good time here with us on a Thursday evening talking about the upcoming game.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: Browns at the Jets on Sunday, it's going to be a suckable of two terrible teams or hopefully our team is the least suck.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the thing is, I haven't even said this yet.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: We cannot lose to the jets.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: They are actively tanking.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: They are actively trying to get the number one pick in the draft That's what they want.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_01]: They don't even want to win games.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: So if you lose to a team that doesn't win wins not trying to win
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you suck.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_01]: So the Browns have to win this game, Blake said at the other night, I agree 100% as far as a 216 goes.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: This is a must-win, which is crazy, but it is.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I appreciate everybody tuning in.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you guys.
