- Ted Turner: Greetings, everyone. Welcome to Dogs Down South. Hope you're having a great night tonight on this Tuesday. it is week zero officially of college football. We are eleven days, but as I was talking to Fish earlier, if you're off work and you consider that being a done day for you, we're actually ten days. but but we have college football this weekend and that's exciting. we're gonna pick those games. so it'll definitely be a step in the right direction. Fish, how's it going tonight, man? Adam Fisher: Good man, good, good. Other than the fact I got completely drenched earlier picking up groceries from the grocery store. As soon as like we do the curb side pickup thing, you know, I pull up, get out, you know, load up, get you know, hop back in and leave, it's really really easy and convenient. But tonight, like as soon as I pulled up and got out of the truck, man, it just the bottom fell out of the sky. So inside of my truck, groceries, everything just so Ted Turner: I I thought curbside meant they brought it to your car. Adam Fisher: Well they do, but I always get out just 'cause I have a three door like well I have a four door but it pulls open, you know, and it's just easier for me to stand there and get it from and put it in. Plus I'm picky about how it gets loaded, so Ted Turner: Makes sense. That makes total sense right there. I get it. Adam Fisher: Ha ha ha Ted Turner: I get it, man. Well, hey man, we're week zero and if you if I have any I don't know about listeners as chiming in, man, it's been really fun the past two weeks getting to know a new community as far as TikTok live. If you haven't done so, we TikTok dogs down south, go and follow us. And so make sure you go and like and follow us on TikTok as well as Dogs Down South YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Facebook, you name it. We have it. So make sure and go and go and follow us. Fish, let's hop Right in tonight. We got a lot planned. we're coming off of Scrimmage Two from Athens. It was separation Saturday per se. thoughts? I mean, I know I dropped a video last week, but thoughts on what you're hearing coming out of Scrimmage Two. What do you think some of the biggest news that hit your ears about Scrimmage Two? Adam Fisher: Well, it was kinda nothing really mind blowing or anything like that, nothing super duper extravagant. But you know, about what I figured, you know, the offense stepped up, had a better day. I didn't hear the word drops nearly as much as I did last week. and listening to the you know, the guys on the radio and stuff that I listen to during the week when they talk about it. everything sound you know, sounds pretty pretty normal, pretty Pretty vanilla. mean, we still got, you know, the same dudes making the same strides and you know, the the defense sounds really good. And I'm trying to like hold back a little bit on how excited I am about the defense. Like I can't wait for them to play. I don't wanna get over I don't wanna like expecting, you know, them to be, you know, the eighty five Bears and then, you know, they come out and they give up a big play here and there and everything, and then there's just disappointment. And so I'm just trying to Pump the brakes, you know, but at l you know, hopefully we I don't know. Like making good strides in the right direction. You know, the same the freshman, I'm at a loss. What's his name? Zekai Helton. The offensive line I'm really excited about. The offensive line's looking really good. Much improved, much improved over last year. Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, man. I mean, I would say and I I posted a video on a little bit of a recap video that I have, but I would say like biggest thing on each side of the ball that stood out for me was number one on the offensive side. I mean, Gunnar didn't play a lot. what does that tell you, right? Like yeah, I mean I would think if I think if Kirby and this coaching staff was concerned about Gunner, I think he would be in there much more. I I think they're at the point where it's like, you know, we've been slinging it around all spring and all fall, you know. And so two series, a lot of a lot of lot of guys, a lot of the ones only got like two series. K J was holding his helmet a lot. Chris Cole got a few more series than normal Raylan. but a lot of those ones, which we we really didn't see it that way. I thought we would see a lot of ones and twos, to be honest with you. but we didn't. But I think the one big thing I saw was quarterbacks, right? I know everybody's like, Well, what? You know, receivers, offensive line, I think you hit on offensive line, P Paglisi, Ryan Paglisi didn't have a good day, man. He had three picks. and going against that secondary Adam Fisher: Yeah, that's what I heard. Ted Turner: going against that secondary man is I mean, it's not easy, but but then again Ryan Montgomery stepped in there and he led the ones, twos and threes all on touchdown drives. no quarterback besides Gunner. Hezekiah Millender though and the other backups, they all had interceptions. but I would say on the defensive side of the ball, the biggest takeaway was I think they solidified, I really think they solidified the secondary. I think they I think they know what they have. I think there's a lot of talent back there. It offers a lot of depth, but we're gonna talk about, you know, projected starting lineups for every, you know, every piece of this puzzle, but I think that was one big thing that came out of out of separation Saturday. I think we separated who we think we will see. Although I think we will see a lot game one and two. I think we separated who we'll see running out of of on the field for the first series in eleven days. so I thought it would be cool before we hop into all that is you know, I know we heard the news a lot coming out of when the NCAA and the NFL number one talking about I think everybody's seen Todd Munkin, who you know, why is this related to Georgia? Well, obviously, you know, Todd Munkin the O. C you know, for both national championships for Georgia, and then he went on to be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns and they asked him in a presser about a tight end, Daquan, I forget his last name, and he was a guy that played for Alt Miss and now Lane Kiffin is involved and he's trying to lure him back to to play college football and players Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Ted Turner: coming now, opening the door for players to come back. You know, and and and at first the NCAA was like, look, undrafted, you know, you can come back for your fifth year. And I thought that was incredibly nice, right? To be able Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ted Turner: to let some of these players come in and I mean, let's just be honest, they're gonna make some money, right? Adam Fisher: Yeah. Either way. Ted Turner: but I guess what I'm trying to get to yeah, I guess what I'm trying to get to is is like the biggest thing that I really hated about the scenario was Lane Kiffin, I think I mean, do you think Todd Munkin would just stand up there in front of media and lie? I mean, Lane Kiffin is saying, I don't know Todd Munkin well. He I don't have his number. what does this say about Lane Kiffin and what does this say about the NCAA and you know, if this actually is allowed, like Where do we go from here? Adam Fisher: It's a slippery slope and and it seems like every time something stinks having to do with the SEC and college football, Delane Kiffin is like right there. Like it seems like he's always at the center of the controversy. And I was watching him do a press conference earlier on Feinbaum and he's just like every every circumstance is different, blah blah blah. You know, that's not the point. And then he tries to say that the guy didn't know that the rule was in place, that that meant that he couldn't come back or whatever. Like it was what what do you call it? Want of understanding or something like that. Like he had no idea that the rule was even a thing, that he that wasn't an option for him. Like they weren't told specifically that they can't. And that's where he's trying to like hang his hat and like that's the point in the case he's trying to make for this guy. And you know. Every situation's different. Well it doesn't matter what the situation is, like there are rules and there are rules in place for a reason. And you know, the judge who said allowed him to be able to do it is a Louisiana judge, I heard. So why is it you know, this that's the problem. It's it's it's going local to bend rules, you know, because of the way everything's set up. And you know, I don't want college football to become the NFL. But you know, something like there's gotta be something in place where like you can't just, I don't like this rule, so let's just go get a judge, throw some money at him, and then he'll make a you know, he'll make a verdict or a decision that in our favor. You know, that's what it seems like, that's what it feels like, that that's all you have to do. And that's why Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: nobody has any respect for the rules or the NCAA, especially Lake Hill. Ted Turner: I I mean look, I've said this a number of times. I respect Lane Kiffin as a play caller. I don't respect him as a coach. I don't respect him as a person. I don't think he's trustable. I think he's a snake in the grass. I think Adam Fisher: Nope. He is. Ted Turner: he's gonna bend the rules. I mean he's showed that ever since he left USC. I mean he's shown that I mean, maybe, just maybe, there was a lifeline when he worked for Saban that helped him. in some ways maybe save his career, right? But like the old saying, remember where you came from, man. Like, remember where you came from. Nick Saban left because of some of these shenanigans, right? You go to LSU and Adam Fisher: The further away Ted Turner: you start drinking the water, you start drinking the coffee, the soup, whatever you want to call it, and you start doing this mess, and it's like you look you look very what's the word for it? You look very needy. Like, do you need this? Like, is that what you need to do to go out and win a championship? And is it worth Adam Fisher: It's part of his I'm sorry. it's just part of his thing. That's what he does to garner attention from these recruits and everything, 'cause there's a lot of kids that want to go play for a rule mender or a a a bad boy or a bad guy, whatever, you know, the villain. You know, there's a lot of people who like relish that role and he knows that. And Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: that's hit that's his that's his persona now. Like the further away from Saban he gets, the more into that version of himself he changes into. You know, the further away he gets Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: from, you know, the time he spent in at Bama. No, it's it's sad. It's really sad. Ted Turner: Yeah. I I just I I can't imagine like and and didn't you have the audacity to spend forty eight some odd million dollars on this roster and say, We got some we got some things we gotta work on, right? You can't just expect us to go out here and win. You know, you can't just expect us to go out here and do this, do this. Sir, you are you are grasping at every single straw you have to go and win an and win. You're spending the money. You you're paying coaches that are not even there anymore. You are paying players that are not even there anymore from my from my understanding. And now you're combing the you're combing the streets of the NFL going, we'll take you back at what cost? Right? At what cost? And I'll tell you this. He will leave if this all blows up on him at LSU, he will leave LSU for the NFL as quick LSU fans, listen to me. He will leave you. Just like he left Ole Miss. And go to the NFL and you'll be stuck with this mess. And listen, repeat, you can't miss again LSU. You got too much money out there. You are relying on too much stuff to miss on Lane Giffen. So you better hope he doesn't screw you. Because if if so, you don't have the money left to go find anybody else. And I think I think it could set fish. I think it could set L S U back ten years. It could it could literally set them back ten years if they miss on this one. So they gotta be very, very careful, man. But let's let's you know, let's bleed that into the rest of so then you look at p you know, players that affect Georgia, right? So Jakori Thomas, there's been, you know, Dylan Bell rumors, Noah Thomas. when you look at those guys, I I'll I'll talk about Jakori first. when Kirby's not really talking a lot about You know, when JaCore's basically leaking things out that he may come back, but if he does, it will not be with Georgia. Now, first off, it sets the precedent against the NCAA because the NCAA is saying you had to have been in the portal when you went in order to come back and go to another team. If not, you have to come back and go to the team that you were playing for. Yeah, well, Lane Kiffin is saying, well, he's playing for the Browns, right? He wasn't he's not playing for all Miss. So stupid, right? So my thing is though, is Jacori was obviously Adam Fisher: My God. Captain Loophole. Ted Turner: playing for Georgia and Jakori would come back to Georgia, but what does it say for how Kirby Smart feels about the secondary for him to not be grasping at straws? I mean, if there was a team that was struggling in the area of secondary and safety, wouldn't they be like, come on back? Like he would be at practice he'd be on the practice field this week, right? What does that say Adam Fisher: Yeah. Yeah. Ted Turner: about what Kirby Smart and his coaching staff think about this secondary this year? Adam Fisher: Well I think they think what we all think and what we all hope is that we're we're good. Like we've got two shutdown corners. We've got, you know, an all America, you know, free safety. We have a headhunter, a couple of headhunters at strong safety, you know, that are gonna rotate. Actually three if you count, you know, Jamarley Riddle's in there too. but Reek and Kyron Jones have been separating themselves. But you know, and they're all playing good at such a high level and they're they're there and they see these guys and you know nobody is better at probably evaluating D D V talent like Kirby. So 'cause we've always got a strong secondary, it seems like. But yeah, yeah, they're they're they're they're super confident. Scale of one to ten, eleven. Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, that's what it says to me. And I feel like these teams that are like I mean, what does that say about LSU? I mean, I from what I understand, like, why w why do you need to if you feel good about what you have, there's nothing more than greed there, right? You just want it all. Like you just want it all. Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: Don't they have like a preseason like all SEC tied in, I think, or something like that? Ted Turner: Yeah, man, but you know, forty eight something million dollars, apparently it only bought them the first the You know, the first starters on the depth chart. I mean, do you have any depth? I mean, like like what's the depth? Is it all non scholarship players with no NIL deals? Like like what if you Adam Fisher: Yeah. you know. Ted Turner: get injured, there's a lot of things that that this says. To me, it says that you don't have any depth and maybe you're having to go out there and I mean this guy made twenty grand for the Browns already, right? Funny, he's gonna come back probably and make a mill. I mean, at least, right? Adam Fisher: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ted Turner: Maybe maybe not a mil, maybe, maybe I mean but maybe quadruple six digits compared with the Browns. Who knows, man? Obviously in the NFL, I Adam Fisher: I don't know what's a what's a tight end go for these days? Like what's the market value? Ted Turner: I mean, pretty soon you're gonna be able to make more money in college football as a as a younger player or you know, make it d make a better bold decision about where you're going, you know, rather than just go in the NFL and be like, maybe it'll be the best move for me. I mean, that's the one good thing about NFL, I would say. So, but yeah, man, it's it's a joke. It's a real joke and I think it's I mean, in my opinion, if you go to the NFL, go to the NFL. You're there. You signed a contract, you feel like your services are best fit to the NFL. You stuck your your feet in that water. Now, when you didn't get what you wanted, don't be a baby and stick I mean, it it's gonna set a precedent for high school players. Can high school players just go back and comb the high schools? Adam Fisher: Go to college and go back. Ted Turner: And go back and be like, I'm not ready. Maybe I'll do five years of high school. What? Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: Like what? well I didn't like my high school. You know, I played at a single A high school that I want to experience Buford High School. They have great facilities. Maybe I'll go back as a yeah, and Buford might take you, man, because like it just continues to open up avenues that just don't make sense. Like it just doesn't make sense, man. Adam Fisher: It it's it's scary it's a slippery slope, dude. It like it's everything's changing and everybody's trying to get away with something and you know, find the next loophole and you know, just to get at some sort of edge and like this guy what's this guy gonna do? Like is is this guy like the best tight end to ever play the game? Obviously not, 'cause he can't get a job in the NFL. You know, he's not gonna win them the championship. So like why? Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: Like I don't understand. Is is i is he doing it just To say, you know, a middle finger to the NCAA, you know, is is Ted Turner: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: is is him trying to garner attention for himself, you know, to be noticed, you know, don't forget about me, I'm Lane Kiffin, don't forget, don't forget about me, I'm over here. You know, like I I Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: I don't understand the motive. Ted Turner: Yeah. Well guess what? I think we're gonna do what Kirby Smart's really good about doing and we're gonna worry about just worry about what we can worry about, control what we can control, right? So Adam Fisher: The main thing, the main thing. Ted Turner: yeah, main thing the main thing. So I thought fish it would be cool to tonight focus on three things tonight. I want to focus on one, I want to share who we think will be running out with all the information that we've gathered. and I wanna I wanna see if we can try to nail down these starters and what some of these listeners and our fans wanna hear is what are we gonna see rolling out there first string as they called it, you know, back in the day. We don't have that anymore. Kirby does a and or an or what we're gonna try to call it as we see it. And Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: second thing is is I wanna give the listeners ten reasons why we think Georgia is a team that can that can win it all this year and go the distance, and then I wanna do I wanna Pick these games for week zero, man. Get a little warm-up per se for a busy week one in college football that will see a lot of really good games. And week two is separation Saturday with the Big Ten and with the SEC. A lot of Big Ten SEC games on week two. So it will get off really, really quickly in these next two weeks. maybe not for Georgia. Adam Fisher: It's already here, man. Ted Turner: Yeah, maybe not for Georgia, but for a lot of a lot of the a lot of other college teams. So let's hop right in, man. So let's obviously start with the low hanging fruit. We'll start on the offensive side of the ball. so on the offensive side of the ball, I think if we have this this pecking order right, I think we're gonna see obviously Gunnar Stockton is QB one. The biggest thing we probably want to look at is is and Kirby is if you didn't check his presser today, I caught a little bit of it before I got on, but I didn't get it all. he mentioned even though you know Ryan Puglisi you know, has been rumored, I've even rumored it, that he is the backup guy. even with a bad day, you know, he's claiming there's still a battle going on there, which they are having a scrimmage three this Saturday. So they're not backing down from continuing the grind of what, you know, camp and prep looks like for the beginning of the year. But I think we still see it as Poglisi at QB two, Ryan Montgomery at QB three. Gunnar Stockman's obviously the guy. You got Colt Dragen that's not listed down there, has a Kiah Miller. as we get into quarterbacks, let's I want to sidebar really quick. Did you hear the news that that Jared Curtis is not gonna be the starter for Vanderbilt? Adam Fisher: my god. They did ten minutes of it on Fine Bomb. It's such a big deal. Ted Turner: This I mean, is this not poetic? This is not poetic, right? He goes to Vanderbilt Adam Fisher: No, Ted Turner: to play early. He he playing time is playing time and obviously money is very important to him. He goes to Vanderbilt to play early, and here we are. What's your thoughts on that, man? Adam Fisher: There just I mean, you know, the the grass isn't always greener, you know, and and it kinda it's kinda like it fits him, like it's his just dessert or whatever, you know, the saying is. You know, it's just funny how he yeah, you know, wanted playing time, wanted to play early, just thought that much of himself that he was just gonna, you know, walk over there and, you know, be the day one number one. And I think it's hilarious that, you know, the other guy starting what's his name, Blaze something? Ted Turner: Blazevich or I I don't know. I I I don't Adam Fisher: Something. Ted Turner: I mean, the only thing I can think is is maybe they go, We don't do we really want him running for his life? Do we want him to but that but doesn't that defeat the if I'm Jerry Curtis, you knew that like if I'm looking at the coaching staff, I'm going, Did you guys not think I was gonna be running for my life this year when when you said I was gonna be able to play early? Because you knew what line you had coming back. You knew you were losing a lot of the line. You knew you were losing a lot of the productivity at the wide receiver and at the running back position, and you knew the defense was you knew this team in general was going to take a step back. So like Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: what's the what's the big deal now, right? I Adam Fisher: Mm, exactly. Ted Turner: for me, I would feel and I don't mean to stir it up, if I'm Jerry Curtis, I feel totally misled. Totally misled. I mean, I'm looking at going and maybe money was the big enough issue for him. I have no idea. If we're clipping this, I would tell you that Jerry Curtis should should feel like the biggest idiot right now. Because and I'm gonna say it like that, because if you wanna make decisions and you wanna start putting it out there like you're grown, and controlling your destiny and you can't claim, well, I'm a kid and I didn't know now. No, no, no, no, no. You knew. You knew what you were stepping into. The money was big. You thought you were gonna start and you wanted your name out there first. Honestly, I think, and I'm just being maybe a little partial, I think you come And you have a chance to learn a little more and get a little reps and get more in a and don't get me, I like Clark Lee, but you're not gonna get a more organized practice, intense upbeat reps, Georgia focus on reps, than you are at Georgia, right? Adam Fisher: Yeah. Well he's not worried about development. He was just worried he he thought he was good enough to go out there and start day one. And, you know, what a wake up call. You know, and it makes me you know, I respect Clark Lee for making that decision too, and not just Kevin because he's the new, you know, the new the next Diego or whatever you want to call it. You know, like he's stuck to his guns and if the guy's actually not good enough to start, then he's not starting. Ted Turner: But my thing is you didn't say that when you tried to get him on campus. You tried to get him in there. I mean something had to be said. Somebody had to make some commits. Adam Fisher: no. Yeah, I'm sure that he was promised something. Ted Turner: Right. Pretty pretty wild, man. Running backs. I think this is probably where you see this depth chart of Kirby that's like an and or, but we're gonna call it one through four. funny because I have this I have this a little bit weird, but I'll I'll I'll put it the right way. RB one, Nate Frazier, RB two's you're probably gonna be Chauncey Bowens. I think three will be Dwight Phillips Junior. I think four will be Bo Walker. you you agree with this or disagree, Fish? Adam Fisher: I agree. I agree. And if it wasn't Ted Turner: What's the biggest thing what's the biggest thing the running backs gotta do in in this scenario to like to make this team the most effective this year? You know, we obviously don't want to be a team that, you know, if we can't pass the ball like, you know, we gotta put they gotta put a lot in the box and that's that's always fine, but if we can't make them pay for putting those people in the box, it really doesn't matter, right? What's the biggest thing that these running backs can do for Georgia this year? Adam Fisher: Ball security. Hold on to the rock. Hold on to the rock. No turnovers. That's gonna be that's gonna Ted Turner: Like it. Adam Fisher: help us and and minimize the negative, you know, the negative runs. You know, you know, some of the guys are blessed and can, you know, go lateral, you know, really quick and make a few moves and you know turn something into nut or turn nothing into something. But you know, staying on task and like hitting the gaps, you know, that they're supposed to hit and you know hitting them hard and Falling forward. Just cut down on the negative Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: plays and and ball security. Ted Turner: Yeah. I like it. I like it, man. wide receiver. This is probably what everybody kinda wants to hear, right? I think wide receiver one or the X as we call it, Isaiah Canyon. And I think honestly at the X at wide receiver two, you're gonna see CJ Wiley. at the Z. wide receiver one, London Humphreys, wide receiver two, Talon Taylor in the slot. Wa wide receiver one, Sakovy White Helton. Here's the tricky one right here. Wide receiver two, I think is gonna be Caden Prothrow. I think as a freshman he's gonna be seeing a lot. of snaps in a slot wide receiver formation and then as we're gonna hear in a little bit Kirby's very pleased with the red zone stuff he's seeing. And a lot of it is because of the Elias Williams, the Caden pro throws, the you know, l Laws and Lucky's a touchdown magnet, Jaden Riddell who is doing some things, I mean, and the ability to run the football, we are we have looked very good at a very good defense in the red zone. and then obviously some names. I'm sorry, I I have Dallas Dickerson out there, but some names like that you wanna like also hear in the mix here that that's come up is you've heard Craig Dandridge's name, you've heard Landon Raw Dunan's name, you've heard Whom I'm missing. I would say probably those are the other two names have come up a lot. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Big time. Ted Turner: I I think I think these are kind of the consistent names that you're gonna hear through all of that. But there's going be some players that are able to go in there and step up. I know Thomas Blackshear's name has been mentioned a little bit. so interesting to see kind of how all this pans out. Now, same question for the wide receivers. What are the wide receivers going to have to do? And and Kirby, I mean, I think this is the best way I've heard it said. Kirby doesn't need a superstar to come out of this wide receiver room. Kirby needs six guys that can put it together and make things happen so that we can be balanced. And we can be effective on the offensive side of the ball so so the defense make can make sure and respect both both sides. Correct? They need to be be respected, that's to be balanced, right? But what's the what what's one Adam Fisher: Exactly. Ted Turner: of the biggest things they can do? Adam Fisher: Minimize drops, like gotta catch the ball. Now I like I said, I didn't hear a lot about that this week, you know, coming out of the scrimmage, which is good, but I thought I take it as, you know, much improvement. Because last week a lot of people, a lot of people were talking about it. and this run in run and run good routes and be where you're supposed to be, you know, gotta help Gunner out as much as they possibly can. and Definitely, definitely, definitely want to see some of run blocking. I hope I hope that that's something that they've all been working on. Which I'm sure it is, Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: 'cause Kirby doesn't Kirby doesn't like receivers that are afraid to block. I know that for a fact. Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree, man. I totally agree. Tight ends. Now this is definitely a I think this is a situational type scenario. I think they have plays for each one of these guys. And the most the craziest thing is I'm gonna say at the end, but I think tight end one, you're looking at Lawson Lucky, tight end two, Elias Williams, tight end three, Jaden Riddell, tight end four, Ethan Barbour. If I would have told you Ethan Barbour was gonna be our fourth tight end, you would look and be like, Who the heck you have at one, two and three? Now Here's my thing at the end. Why couldn't Georgia line up Lucky, Williams, and Riddell at the same time? They both have all three very different skill sets to this team. And I'm hearing that Elias Williams is a lot more than a vertical threat this year. He's got very soft hands, he's running really good routes. He blocks well. He's always blocked. I he blocked well as a freshman. If if if you don't block, you don't hit the field for Georgia. So he hit the field, so obviously he was doing a great job in that area, a good job in that area. But like, can you imagine? Like what does this make what does this make defenses choose to do with our tight end room? And what does this also make defensive note from everybody who's like, we gotta get the wide receiver room right? We gotta be able to do this. Guys, we have the best tight end room in the country. They're all they're all they have all great hands, they have all different things they bring to this team. But what is I mean, what are you most excited about with this room and what do you think needs to happen with this room to make us successful this room? Adam Fisher: I mean you're right, dude. Thirty-two personnel, three tight ends on the field at the same time. Heck, maybe even four. You know, like something down there inside the five, you know, or something like that. Like much like the wide receiver, the wideouts, they're gonna be a lot there's gonna be a lot of rotating and there's gonna be a lot of different packages for different people 'cause like you said, all these guys are good. They could all start, they could all be number one. But they all have different skill sets, you know, and they all are good at certain things. Like Ethan Barbour is probably one of the best blocking tight ends I've ever seen. I wouldn't want this man to hit me. Like I wouldn't want him to come at me. And if I see if I'm lining up opposite him, I know he's about to hit me. I'm gonna feel some type of way about it. like Lawson Lucky, you're right, touchdown magnet, he's a good red zone option. I mean they all are. Like I'm you could say the same thing about all these guys. And what a luxury, right? Like, you know, Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: and I I just I just hope it pans out, you know, I hope the offense, you know, has come up with a lot of ways to get a lot of different people the ball because it's almost like, you know, we're we're a little spoiled like who's gonna get what? Like is there enough ball to go around and keep everybody happy? Ted Turner: Right, right. I I will I will say this too. It's it just makes me wanna look and go it's almost like the hidden the hidden the hidden ball trick, right? We we show you this over here and everybody's like, Wide receivers, wide receivers, what are our wide receivers gonna do? ESPN's like can you imagine I mean I'm I'm kinda calling it right now, can you imagine when game day comes to Athens for Georgia, Oklahoma or game day comes to Tuscosa Tuscaloosa? Because Georgia and Alabama are both undefeated at that time and you know, it's Georgia, Alabama, and they're but can you imagine the segment that they're doing where Saban and Herb Street are all standing there with their pointers and everything and they're like, Georgia, you know, we talked about the wide receiver room, but man, look at tight end U right here. Why do they need this when they have this? And look at this guy, Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: 'cause he has this guy. Can you see this whole special going on about Georgia about We talked about in the beginning of the year how their wide receivers had to do this, but look at what they did and totally got everybody's mind fixated over here. And really what they did was is they didn't show you what what they were going to do with it over here. I just think there's just, man, this tight end room is extremely talented. It could literally be the identity of this offense this year. Adam Fisher: could be Ted Turner: Running backs and tight ends could be the identity. And that's not a bad thing. Because I think we can go back and look and go, what what was the main thing on offense besides I mean, when you when you look at these three things, what were the main things that got us national championships with Stetson Bennett, that running back room, and Brock Bowers? Brock Bowers was everybody now go, a tight end, right? our running game and what did Stetson Bennett give us? He gave us the ability to throw the ball downfield and he gave us the ability to use his legs. I feel like we have all three of these things again this year. Don't say I didn't call it here, but but I think this is kind of the same Adam Fisher: Me too. Ted Turner: type venture right here, right? Let's move to the offensive line real quick. This is everybody wants to kind of know offensive line. we'll go we'll go one deep and then we'll go back ups possibly. But I do think this offensive line that runs out there will be from left to right, I think learn left tackle Ernest Green. I think he's in the best playing shape he's been since he's been at Georgia, Dontro Glover. On the left guard, center will be Drew Bobo. right guard is gonna be the the the talented freshman, Zachiah Helton, right tackle, Juan Gaston. I think the backups and I think I think these guys will play a lot. I mean, we like to roll too. So these all these guys have done a really good job in camp, and all these guys started games last year. That's the craziest part, besides Cortez Smith, and and Ugboko, but Akin Aboko, another another strong freshman tackle that's doing really well that that I'm hearing it saying they're gonna it's gonna be hard to keep Oboco off the field. Daniel Calhoun, Cortez Smith has I think won the backup center job, which is I know we like Malachi, but I think Cortez Smith did a pretty good job and he might have won that backup center role. Ja Jackson and and Michael Unai. another fascinating group, right? Another really good group, biggest wild card. I mean Zekai Helton, right? I mean, man, you've heard so much about this kid. He has such an incredible story. When you talk about Georgia and you talk about what's going on in NIL, you talk about what we talked about earlier with Lane Kiffin and and Georgia is just going into places and and pulling three stars, right? And you're hearing these guys like Zachai Helton, a freshman, he's they're giving they're giving some of these guys a really he's giving some of these guys a really hard time as a freshman. he's a wild card, man. I'm I'm gonna go out there and tell you, there's people saying he's better than Glover was as a freshman. And we all thought, Man, Glover comes in and can play the freshman, but some people Adam Fisher: It's a bold statement. Ted Turner: are saying way more talented than Glover, right? What do you think about the line? Adam Fisher: I think it's one of the best we've had in a in a very long time. not a lot of holes. I don't see many weaknesses at all. other than, you know, just maybe because he's a freshman, if you're just grasping at straws, you know, trying to find something to talk about. not saying they're perfect and you know, the season it's a long season, it's a lot of games. There's a lot of football to be played, especially when we make the playoffs. If stay healthy, dude. We're it's scary. Offensive line could be could be really scary. They're gonna impose their will on some boys a lot like late in games and that's gonna be the reason we win some games. Ted Turner: Mm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I agree, man. I totally agree. Let's flip over real quick to the defensive side of the ball. Man, I'm so excited to talk about the defense. defensive line. We haven't talked much about the defensive line at all this summer. and it's not because it's not nothing to talk about. It's it's just honestly, I feel like they've been the steadiest, right? I think we said the same thing we've always said. If they can stay healthy, our defensive line can play and line up against anybody and be effective, right? I think so defensive end obviously in that in this three four offense that Schumann puts out there. You got Gabe Harris. It's probably gonna roll with Joseph Jonah Ajanye. you're gonna see at the tackle position probably Elijah Griffin, a little bit of Josh Horton there. nose tackle, you're probably looking at Xavier McLeod, Jordan Hall somewhere in that rotation right there. But you know we roll we roll constantly, right? So you could see a mixture of those six, I think. Obviously, Damiel Boko is in that mix. JJ Hahn. I mean, I dude, Nazir Johnson, this is a really, really I've even seen and heard that as I Isaiah Gibson, the talented five star who came from Warner Robbins, who who who lined up a little bit more at outside linebacker, he put on some weight last year. he he was seen in practices running with Gabe Harris and and the in the ends, so you could see him down there. But this could be an absolutely nasty defensive front, right? Elijah Griffin, though, is the name circling. And Fish, I want to I want to piggyback on a comment from last week. You said, I gotta see what Elijah Griffin is gonna do. I gotta see if he's real, right? Can he cause the same Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis type problems in the middle of that line? reiterate what you said last week and talk to talk to the viewers about what you think is gonna make this line elite. Adam Fisher: Just ab ability to disrupt. And you know, Elijah Griffin is one of those guys who who can cause a lot of havoc. Like, you know, when you can when you're throwing names out there like Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. I mean, that was a historic defensive line and Devontae Wyatt, everybody forgets about him. Cannot forget Devontae Wyatt. he went to the NFL and has made a big name for himself. but they were all part of like that's that that defensive line and that's that's kind of what it feels like this year again. Like we've seen it and we know what it looks like. And the guys we have lining up, and especially if we get that kind of if if Elijah Griffin even sniffs Jalen Carter, you know, and his ability to get through the line and shrug blocks and get to the quarterback or stop the run, then he's gonna he's gonna be a a late maybe first round pick in the draft. Like Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: that's that's the kind of that's the kind of season and the impact he could have this year. Ted Turner: Let me ask you this. I'm gonna give you and this is more because I think I want the viewers, I wanna know what the viewers think, and I wanna know what you think. Do you think that at the end of this year, right? Now I look back at some of our most dominant lines, right, and I and I heard those names. Do you think with the names that I just called, I mean, there's just a lot of like there's been promise there from some of those names. There's been injury that happened and kind of took that promise away. But when you look at Gabe Harris, when you look at a John Ye who's now had time to get bigger and grow, learn more of the install. Elijah Griffith, Josh Horton, Xavier McLeod gives you that that mature presence, right? Jordan, we said Jordan Hall. And you look at the youngsters coming in, right? I'm even hearing the Valdean song, man, the five star we got just this year. is causing some really like he is she is going, look, don't forget me, right? Who we knew would come in. I mean the kid's from I think he's from like Sweden or Germany. Don't don't quote me on this. Definitely but he only played football for two years, man. And I heard he has a great attitude. He's a big, strong kid. He just has a lot of twitch about him. What like if we could guarantee you this could be the best defensive line in Georgia's last ten years, would you guarantee the viewers a national championship this year? With the linebackers in the Adam Fisher: Yeah. yeah, nobody's Ted Turner: secondary? Adam Fisher: you're not scoring on our defense. If that quarterback doesn't have time to sit back there and think about what he's about to do and find the open guy, it's hard to cover man to man, which is what we play famously. then the quarterback's gonna find the d he's gonna he's gonna sit back there and if he has time to find the guys, then Yeah, but I I think if this D line even sniffs the twenty one defensive line. That's that's shit. That's a that's a natty. Because the defense Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: is gonna be unbelievable. Historically good defense is what we could possibly be looking at. Like the secondary's so good they need a nickname. Like that's how good they are right now with the hype. Ted Turner: And I just think they're gonna take it personal this year. I I think this team has seen the years we've rolled out there and some of these teams that we've played and it's like you're supposed to beat these teams, you're not supposed to allow touchdowns and second string and third string, like how personal they're gonna take these games against Tennessee State and Western Kentucky. Like I can see this team going, guys, goose eggs. We allow goose eggs. And if we allow something besides that, we've lost the day. Would you agree? Adam Fisher: Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean this is gonna be one of those years where like a touchdown by like Western Kentucky late in the fourth or something like that is gonna be a huge disappointment. And it's gonna be peeling the paint off the walls in the locker room after the game or at halftime if we start allowing Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Adam Fisher: stupid plays, you know, to these teams that we should be dominating. And that's what it Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: feels like. That's what it feels like this year. Like this is gonna be one of those defensive not to take anything away from the offense and I feel like the defense is so having such a good camp and had a such a Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: good spring that they're taken away from the offense and I think that's fine. I think the offense needs to fly under the radar. I think anything they do is gonna surprise everybody. I think if they come out and you know we have some explosive plays and we're able to throw the ball downfield and Gunner, you know, just lets it rip sometimes instead of trying to sit back there and think about what he's about to do, you know then then we'll shock some people and we'll we'll we'll confuse some defenses hopefully. but yeah. Ted Turner: It's it's gonna be it's gonna be interesting, man. I I just think it's something to be studied is if this defensive line can be disruptive, man, if we can just cause absolute chaos to let these linebackers run free, it it's gonna be special, man. let's move on there for time's sake. so as we look at our linebackers in this particular type of defense that Schumann runs, obviously for our listeners, if you know or don't know, they run more of a of a jack slash edge. or a Mac in a money type scenario. So when you look at the Jack, you're looking at Quintavio Johnson, I think. Chase Linton, though, has pushed hard. He's had a really great camp. there's some things about Chase Linton that you just can't coach. He's twitchy. He's not really a big kid. He's just he's able to get to the quarterback which has impressed his coaching staff and created created some snaps for him that Nobody would have thought that he would have seen. And then obviously we talked about Isaiah Gibson. This is where the this is where Georgia needs somebody to emerge, consistent difference maker right here. if Georgia, you know, can't be good against a run, they need to make quarterbacks uncomfortable, right? I mean, I don't think that's gonna be the problem, but you never know what could arise. You know, we talked about it earlier. There's there's also ways that no matter what install you have, you can't get too overly confident because You if we're pin our ears back every time, there's there's ways i if you're smart if it's smart coordinators, there's ways to to hone in on each defense, right? You pin your ears back too much. I mean, people may joke the screen game, but Mike Bobo and you know, is notorious for going, Hey, you wanna overcommit? That's fine. And he will make you pay. And it's no different. I mean, y p fans may not like it. Fans may not like it. But if his thirty yards on on on paper Doesn't matter if I threw it thirty yards or I gave it to you in five and you ran for twenty five. Doesn't matter. Right? Adam Fisher: it it it's low hanging fruit. It it's easy to it's easy to make fun of, you know, fifteen screens a game. But just think about Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: it, man, like if if you know, Gunnar's got a quicker release and get that ball out of there a little bit faster, it's just gonna be all the more better. And we've got a couple of guys over there in the slot this year that are gonna have some really big shoes to fill, but you know, they're looking like they're gonna be just as explosive as Branch was. Ted Turner: wanna I wanna go out there and make a br I'm I know we're on defense, but here's a profound suggestion, right? For all the dog fans out there that are like, we can't win a national championship with Mike Bobo and you know, we can't do this, and I'm gonna step in here and say it. I've been critical of Mike Bobo in the past. The reason I've been more critical about Adam Fisher: Me too. Ted Turner: Mike Bobo is because it was it was almost like weird to know like the why behind what's in his head. And what's he thinking? And I think we had just seen a different way that Todd Munkin was able to get the ball to the playmakers. And I think Mike Bobo said, Look, I could I can't come in and be and be the same guy. I can take I mean it's kinda like I love how they look and they go, you know, Ole Miss, for instance. I don't mean to sidetrack so quickly, but Ole Miss, for instance, they're like this John Parker, whatever guy's name, right? The new OC. Pete Golding is like, nothing's changing. Nothing's changing. Like we're coming in, we're running the same offense. It's gonna say that's not true. Not true at all, man. There's no Lane Kiffin Adam Fisher: Gonna change a little bit. That's gonna change a little bit. Ted Turner: there. There's no Lane Kiffin. There's no Charlie Weiss Jr. Like you can come in with the same spaghetti and the same meat and the same noodles and cook it different and not have sp the same spaghetti. Period. I mean, there's just things you're not gonna do in that stereo. Now, f fast forward To Mike Bobo, he's going to come in, and yes, I'm sure they sat there and why do you think Mike Bobo is sitting over the shoulder of Todd Munkin? Because he's like, Look, man, you know, number one, if nothing pans out, if I have to go, if I, you know, if I move on and hang here for a little while and go to the NFL, Mike Bobo comes in, it's like, yeah, we want you we want you here. We want you to continue to figure out how Todd Munkin makes this offense successful, but they want It wanted to mix it in with what makes Bobo so successful as an offensive play caller. There's a reason why Mike Bobo is the top is is is a top ten play caller in college football. Top ten play call caller in college football. Top ten percent. More than that. Top seven percent in college football. but for our viewers, right? Why why in the world would would you be concerned so much about how he gets it done? Just because he's not getting it done the same way Todd Munkin did, right? And everybody's like, we're not gonna raise Natty. We're not gonna raise National Championship N National Championship Trophy with Mike Bobo. What would you say to viewers about that? I mean, and I know we've both been a little bit down on Bobo sometimes, but what would you say to viewers about that? Adam Fisher: How many teams have won two national championships in the past five years? Two out of the last five seasons. How many teams can say that? Much Ted Turner: None. None. Adam Fisher: less back to back. So it's just like Debore coming in to Bama, like those their fans are expecting like no drop off whatsoever. Straight natty natty natty natty natty. You know, or deep playoff run every year, you know, eleven, twelve wins every season. He's not gonna do that. Like Bobo, I'm not and I don't Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: mean to say that Bobo is not. Todd Munkin, he's Mike Bobo. And he's gonna do it a different way. He's gonna do it his way. And like it it's hard to get to that every year. Now we've won back to back SEC titles, we've lost in the first round, back to back playoff games. but that's not Bobo's fault. You know, I mean he's he's on the team, he has something to do with it, but it's not his play calling that lost us those games. It damn sure wasn't the reason we lost last year. Like Trinidad Ted Turner: Right, right. Adam Fisher: Chambliss was the reason we lost that game last year, and that's all there is to it. Ted Turner: Right. Yeah. Adam Fisher: I mean that's not Bobo's fault. So chill out. You know, that's I and Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree. Adam Fisher: I have been a Bobo hater. I am the one of the key Bobo haters. I was a Stetson Bennett hater. And boy did he show me. You know? So I'm thinking this year, you know, Ted Turner: Right. Right. Yeah. No, I agree, man. Adam Fisher: just just pump the brakes, hold on, be patient. Let's see what happens. Ted Turner: I agree. so yeah, so Mac, we're looking probably at Justin Williams, the money, Raylan Wilson, obviously that rotation. You're looking at Chris Cole, Zaiden Walker, AJ Cruell. We roll at least four or five deep in that area. So however that that all comes together, I think we'll be fine. lot we probably want to say about that. But the only thing I would tell you is and Chris Cole this year we trust. I mean, he's an animal. He looks really good in a football uniform. I said it in in earlier podcast. When you scan the field, you just go, Who is that? Right? He just catches you. Who is that? Right? But let me ask you this. If Cole becomes a dominant pass rusher from the linebacker position and Elijah Griffith causes as much chaos as he's supposed to, right? George's defense gets another dimension, right? It it's it's it gets into that conversation we just talked about earlier about Can you guarantee, can you guarantee like a national championship? I mean, things can happen, don't get me wrong, but we've seen an abysmal offense that sometimes happen with Oklahoma and a really, really good defense at Oklahoma make the playoffs and have the opportunity to go in a natty. I would answer that question, yeah. There the dimensions are limitless into what this defense can do this year. especially when we're going to talk about this next group. I mentioned this on a video a couple days ago, but I think I think we're pretty much locked in here. I think C B one, cornerback one, quarterback two are pretty much locks Ellis Robinson, Demelo Jones. when you look at the backups, I mean they've had just as much time. Braylon Conley, Gentry Williams. Jonte Gilbert had a really good camp, man. Jon Tay Gilbert looks really good. a lot of young talent here, right? but also a lot of game talent. A lot of I mean, Braylon Conley and Gentry Williams give you SEC experience. coming in here. the question isn't whether these guys have talent. It's whether they can hold up, you know, in this SEC elite passing. And there's a lot of great quarterbacks in the SEC this year, right? And at the safety position, I think you got I think you got KJ on one side and I I've moved around on this a lot, but I do think that I mean I really feel good about Kyron Jones. I think Kyron Jones is going to run out of that We're onto that field opposite of KJ. He's earned it. He's done some really good things. I mean, obviously, Jamarley Riddle. I mean, he's looked great. This is not from a lack of these guys looking good. It's just that Kyron Jones has looked different, man. He's just looked different. Zion Branch, he's a good ball player. Zion got picked on a little bit, that old miss game last year. and then, you know, Rashawn Dinkins, he's gonna I mean, these guys are gonna all add depth and minutes. Now, The one the one name I will get into because a lot of this I've had questions asked about this is, you know, what you know at the star position. I think you're gonna see Khalil Barnes, the Clemson transfer. But one thing I will tell you is is the reason why all Clemson fans are down on Khalil Barnes is because they said he couldn't tackle and he didn't like to stick his head in there, right? I can tell you this, if Khalil Barnes Barnes is gonna start at the star position, Georgia trusts that he's gonna stick his head in there. If you can't tackle and you can't run and and you can't Tackle during the run and stick your head in there, you're not going to play at Georgia. But what I will tell you that he offers to Georgia that caused some issues last year is I heard the guy can flat out cover. He can flat out cover, and that's why they're like, hey man, when you come in here, if you can stick your head in there and you can tackle and you can you can stop the run, we know where you're gonna be as far as the pass is concerned. What is what is your strengths and what do you think is most jumps out to you about this second? Adam Fisher: What doesn't? I mean, this this is this is our deepest group. I mean, that's hard to say because our linebackers are deep too and the D line is deep. But I think this is definitely our deepest group, easily. And and I think I think Dink is gonna see the stu that is gonna run out of the tunnel. I think he's gonna start. I'm hearing that that's I'm hearing that he's he's you know Kyron Jones has had a great camp and he's definitely gonna stick his head in there and he's definitely gonna kidal yow some people. And I hear a lot of I hear that he's actually been doing that a lot in the scrimmages. that he's been just, you know, cracking skulls. Which is great because I love that. I love a hard hit and safety. Cam Chancellor, one of my best, one of my favorite players. part of the Legion of Boom. Not much else to say, dude. I mean like Ellis Robinson is Ellis Robinson, you know what you're getting with that. Damelo, you know what you're getting there. KJ, and I guess if there was to be a question mark, it would be the starting so you know, strong safety. But Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: other than that, I mean I don't know, man. Like I'm I'm sitting here trying to find stuff to say and and there's Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: just really not that much to say. Ted Turner: Yeah. Well I I'll tell you we asked some people in the chat tonight. I think we had a question in the chat about the concern of the of the s of the cornerback height. I've heard this same thing. this is one thing that I will say that may stick out a little bit. Really good question. you know, we have a we have a secondary that pretty much when you look at height, you know, you're looking at six one, six two max. I mean, some of the taller players like like Zion, I know Justice Fitzpatrick is around six one. Conley six one. I mean, you know, you get into some of this height, we we average that six six foot to six two height. So when you look at red zone, you look at, you know, playing against some of these bigger receivers at range in a trade for six three, six four, six five, you know, yes, this is this is I mean, there's concern about that, but I would say that there's concern to every team about that because when you get into six three, six four and six five, those are guy Calvin Johnson type numbers, right? And so that's why they they create extreme mismatches. I mean, like I would tell you right now, Georgia coming into South Carolina, Nick Harbor is a is a dyno is a I mean, he's a transformer man. Like he's he can run, he's got good height, but that's just where I think you look at the experience of Kirby coaching those those secondary D Bs and the technique and leverage, man to man defense. You look at a lot of those taller receivers sometimes, and I just feel like they're soft, right? Not every one of them. But I think when you look at Georgia, if you play aggressive and you get good leverage and you get good position and you're as aggressive as we are, I mean, yeah, it's gonna have to be fifty fifty for height to come in. So that's a really good question. what do you think about that fish? I mean, do you worry about height when I just mentioned some of those numbers? It's a really good question that was in the chat. Adam Fisher: I mean, I think Ellis is coming off SEC leading, you know, in interceptions last year. So I mean that being able to cover and be in the right spot when you don't have the physical attributes, you know, that maybe against the guy that's lined up across from you, then it comes down to being in the right position at the right time and you know, timing your jump. You know, and you know, we're talking a few inches too. I mean, there's no, you know, six eight, six nine wide receivers, you know, I mean there are probably some big tight ends like that, but I I don't I mean Ted Turner: Yes. Adam Fisher: it's a it's a it's a thing. I'm not saying it's not, I'm not trying to downplay it at all. but I I'm not as worried about it as as maybe I should be. But no I don't I don't think it's that big of an issue. Ted Turner: Yeah. And I'll give you two takes and as you talked about that are there and Greg, you took the words out of my mouth. Greg's in the chat over here asking a few questions. very athletic, I agree. My take would tell you this. Georgia doesn't have a small secondary, it just has a secondary without a lot of elite length. I think that's what we kind of can concern it with. I think for me it's like a six out of ten concern. I think what you have is is you know, KJ Bolden, you look at Zion Branch. You look at some of our safeties, and they just have elite athleticism, right? They just make things happen. But I will tell you, if the Georgia pass rush can improve from, you know, 20 sacks, right? 20 sacks. If we can improve that, right, I think if we can cause more havoc, we can cause more pressure, I think it gives these quarterbacks less of an opportunity to hunt down these tall receivers, right? Make it interesting. I know me. if if I don't have as much time, I can't find what six five on six two looks like. I'm just trying to figure out where the excuse my language, where the hell is there an open receiver at? I don't care if he's six foot or six five, right? So I think that's the that's the biggest thing is the ap athleticism with the combination of if we can get better pass rush this year and get way more sacks than twenty, which is a terrible number for as as good of our defense has been and as good as our coaches and as good as the talent that we've had on defense. Twenty sacks is just not it's just not acceptable in my opinion, right? Adam Fisher: Most of those came at the end of the season too. Ted Turner: Agreed. Agreed. Totally agreed. All right. We're gonna pick these games, but before we do that, we're gonna do a flash round. I'm gonna say we're gonna give sixty seconds each. That means we get thirty seconds each on a comment per reason. Okay. So I have ten reasons Georgia has a good season. Okay. So let's let's hash through them. we're we're we're winding down on this show tonight. We're gonna pick these five or six games that I'm gonna be honest with you, these might be all coin flips for these games, but we're just happy that we have Adam Fisher: Ha ha ha. Ted Turner: football this weekend. But ten reasons Georgia has a good season. I'll give you number one, take thirty seconds on each. We'll kind of do it as like a flash round. Fish, what do you think? Adam Fisher: Yeah, sounds good. Ted Turner: Gunnar Stockton takes num reason number one, Gunnar Stockton takes the next step, in my opinion. Thirty seconds go. Adam Fisher: Let it rip. Let it rip. Throw the ball. Stop thinking, just throw it. Ted Turner: If and I have if Gunnar Stockton becomes consistently efficient, Georgia's ceiling gets much higher. Efficient. Not just one not just one, hey, this is what I'm doing, this is what I'm thinking. This ball's just going, I'm looking for this or to run the ball. If he can get confident enough to just have a smorgasbord of of what can I do and where can I go, this ceiling gets really high for Georgia. Reason reason number two, the tight ends become the identity. Thirty seconds, Fish go. Adam Fisher: Deepest tight end room in the SEC, Barnun, an embarrassment of riches. You know, line these boys up and just let do what they do. the red zone, you know, run the run blocking, you know, pass pro even just my god. Ted Turner: Yeah. And my answer is Georgia could create matchup nightmares. This is why this is reason number two. Matchup nightmares for other teams. It could become their identity because of that. really quick, Greg has a question. Zaden Walker, do you think he will see playing time other than third down? Yes. I think Georgia's notorious for trying to roll four. And I think that's Justin Williams. I think that's Raylon Wilson, Chris Cole, I think that's Zaydan Walker. I think Zaydan Walker has played himself into a more rollable. rollable situation. Yeah, he's from Sly. Yeah, man, of course. man, he Zaydan Walker, I I mentioned Zaydan Walker this year. He looks bigger. He looks more physical. he's a guy that you kind of you kind of you got to comb the land and he he kind of goes, you kind of go, who is that, right? so I totally agree. Reason number three, offensive line stays healthy. Woohoo. If Georgia is going to be have a good season, this offensive line stays healthy, go fish. Adam Fisher: Yeah, and it all comes down to the injury prone two you know, guys, the some two of the biggest names on the O line, the center and the left tackle, Green and Bobo. they gotta stay healthy. Healthy, healthy, healthy. Like you're right, you know, you can't have like all the talent in the world means nothing if you're just, you know, rolling new like having to replace them. If they're not out there and then they're not able to play, then what's the point? So they they Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: gotta stay healthy. Ted Turner: Exactly. I agree. Absolutely critical. talent doesn't matter if you're constantly replacing starters, right? I mean, continuity, playing together, I mean you get to a point where to get to win the natty at the end of the year you have to be healthy and hot. You gotta be healthy and hot, period. and and so this is why this is Like this is an unbelievable reason. Like it it's absolute must to be held down the offensive line. Number four, the running game returns. Now I say returns, but my thing is is like can we create, can we line up and win the way we want to win, not just being creative. I don't wanna have to, you know, I mentioned this to Alabama fans the other night on TikTok, which I love talking to all SEC fans, but Nick Saban would be Cringing. He was cringing when they they would line up. Brian Grubb would line up on third and one and have to throw the ball out to a wide receiver offensive tackle lined up in a creative formation to get one yard. I think Georgia has to be consistent with the ability to run the football this year. What about you, Fish? Adam Fisher: Yeah, yeah, it's gonna take a lot of pressure off a gunner and it's gonna Ted Turner: Mm mm. Adam Fisher: allow him to not feel like he has to be the man. He doesn't he doesn't need to be the man. He needs to be efficient and he needs to, you know, be you know, not you know, not turn the ball over and you know, not take sacks, not you know, do things unnecessarily and you know, not be afraid to throw the ball, but the run Ted Turner: Mm. Adam Fisher: game being dominant. Is what we love, that's what we like as Georgia fans, that's what we're used to. That you know goes back all the way to the 80s. You know, Herschel, Lars Tate, Tim Whirley, Garrison Hurst, Rodney Hampton. I mean, just we want to be dominant. Now I don't know if we have one of those guys in the backfield this season, but we've got a group of guys that can be that reliable and that dominant. Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah, man. No, a hundred percent. Greg does Gunnar rush for one thousand and pass for over two. that's a hot take, man. I would tell you if runner has to run for one thousand and throw for two thousand, I think I think Gunner could I think Gunner could surpass his touchdown in the red zone. Like I mean, as far as like touchdowns, like throwing or running like he did last year, I think he could maximize that number, and that's scary because You look back at what he had last year, I think he had over twenty eight touchdowns. That's crazy. I think he has a chance that he can have forty this year. And that's nuts, right? Adam Fisher: It is. Ted Turner: Elijah Griffin become my reason number five. Elijah Griffin becomes a star. If Griffin here's my reason. If Griffin turns into an all SEC caliber defensive tackle, Georgia's defense gets significantly better. We've talked about this. That's why they have a good season if Elijah Griffin becomes a star. What about you, Fish? Adam Fisher: He'll have a lot to do with it. that'll have a lot to do with it and I don't I'm not trying to say it rests all solely on him or on his shoulders by any means. But just think about it, dude, like we were discussing earlier, like if he gets anywhere near, you know, like, you know, to be as dominant as Jalen Carter Ted Turner: Mm-mm. Adam Fisher: was and Jordan Davis, then I mean look out. I mean that's scary to think about. It really is. And it makes me feel sorry for opposing quarterback. Ted Turner: I agree. Totally agree. Reason number six, Georgia's successful this year if this happens. Georgia fixes the pass rush. Biggest I mean, whoo, this is music to our ears, right? Georgia has to generate pressure without consistently blitzing. I'll repeat, Georgia has to generate pressure without consistently having to blitz. What about you what about you, Fish? Adam Fisher: Yeah, I mean that's you know, that's gonna take that's that's gonna help us out so much. Like if we can just get back there and get pressure and all I wanna see it this year. Remember when Jalen Carter had Jaden Daniels lifted up and was holding his finger up, like, hey I got him, he's down, like here he Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: is. Like just imagine Elijah Griffin doing that to Arch Manning or John Mateer Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: and how awesome that would look. Ted Turner: Yeah. Crazy, man. I mean, it it's just it's just all it is to it, man. You gotta fix the pass rush. You gotta be able to get there. I I just remembered last year and the year before and and much better last year. But we just had to there was so many exotic things that Schumann had to do to get pressure. Man, if we could just get that naturally, that would be crazy. Greg, Greg asks, I don't know if you see this question, Fish, but what's your thoughts on Gunnar? You can you expand on what you what you got? Like what do you think about Gunnar this year? Adam Fisher: he's i i it's tricky because you know he he needed to make some improvements in some s in in a few areas and you know that release has got to be quicker. I think we've got one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC and I think he's gone out there and he's proved it that that's who he is and that's what he's capable of being. just you know Just got has to be confident in himself. He needs to believe in himself. And stop, you know, second guessing or hesitating. You know, go out there, let it rip, do your thing, you know, we'll be okay. You know, we don't need him to go out there and be, you know, an all SEC quarterback, which I believe he will be anyway. You know, just needs to relax and just do his thing. Ted Turner: Good. It's a good take. reason number seven. The secondary grows up, right? Ellis Robinson, DeMelo Jones, KJ Bolden, that's a lot of young talent. If they mature and become, and I think they already have, I really think they already have during camp. If this gets mature quickly, Georgia becomes extremely difficult to throw on. And then you add in You add in Khalil Barnes, who I've heard is a cover guru. I mean, how many Georgia fans were sick and fricking tired of watching receivers just run all around the frickin' field on third down? And Trinidad Champ was just running I mean, it's it let's just be honest. We're gonna play man and you're gonna have to cover. And we're gonna have to so it all has to come together. But I think this is huge. Secondary's gotta grow up, secondary's gotta be better this year. a lot of good quarterbacks this year. We don't see all of them, maybe maybe in a SEC championship type s format, but I do think that this secondary has to be very stout this year. It has the it has the chance to be. But what about you, Fish? Thirty seconds. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Yeah, no fly zone. That's gonna be the theme this year for the for the secondary. That's that's gonna be I'm gonna buy a t shirt at the bookstore when we go see all Georgia Auburn. And and it's gonna say no fly zone. there Ted Turner: Like it. Adam Fisher: I'm not worried I'm not I'm not stressing the secondary. I I think we're good. I think we're gonna have one of the better secondaries that we've had in a long, long time. Maybe even ever. Ted Turner: Ooh, ever. You heard it here first. reason number nine, schedule gives Georgia I'm sorry, reason number eight. Kirby Smart is still Kirby Smart. Now, why do I have this in here, right? Kirby Smart cannot lose the edge, right? I think Schuman has a lot a lot to I I think Schumann had a year of growth this year, right? I think he heard his name called out. He had to come out of his comfort zone and I know that you say people don't we don't read social media, but yeah they do. They hear. They got kids. They got wives. I think he heard his name. I think he heard some fans. And I think he's gonna come out this year and be more of a defense. man, what's the word for it? Just just be an elite situational defensive coordinator so that Kirby can in turn make the right decisions. as an overall coach because you're going to see Pete Golding be challenged with this this year. And granted, Kirby's got years on Pete Pete Golding as far as the head coach. But I just think if Kirby stays Kirby and he doesn't have to dip too far into the offense or dip too far into defense and can be the head coach, that's in those years, that's why we won the national championship. Is because he tends to have to feel like he puts more work into one side of the ball and has to be more involved in one side of the ball. In a game in a game li in a game type scenario. What do you think, Fish? Adam Fisher: Yeah, I agree. I mean, trust the man. I don't think he's lost his edge at all. you know, he he knows what he's doing. And if by now you don't realize that, then I don't know what to tell you. Schumann, yeah, I think you're right. You know, I think he grew up a lot last year. I think the last year was a learning experience. Not that he wasn't already an elite de defensive coordinator, who I'm surprised is still our defensive coordinator. I'm really shocked that he's not a head coach somewhere by now. Ted Turner: Right. Adam Fisher: so I think he's good enough to do it to do that if he wanted to do it. Maybe he doesn't. Maybe he wants to be a DC. You know, maybe he likes the setup we got going on. Maybe he you know, because I don't think Bobo aspires to go be a head coach again somewhere. I think he's at a part of it a point in his life where he just wants to do his thing and just worry about his thing. And I think Kirby is lucky to have two coordinators that are established like that. Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree. I'm reading the comments a little bit. Greg's got nine and one. I think the SEC will stand. only thing I will say is there's only nine games. I I'm thinking you're tracking eight and one. I agree. I mean I have a s I wanna be I wanna be I wanna make sense, right? I think this is a nine game SEC schedule. I think it's gonna be hard to go undefeated. Just think it is for every SEC team, right? I think the ceiling's twelve and for us this year, but I do think the floor is ten and two and I think the I think we somewhere in that eleven to one mark. but fish shout out to your nephews in here so he says hello. Adam Fisher: awesome. Ted Turner: yeah man we have the best coach in the game, Greg, hands down, yeah, Greg, I agree. That's non biased, man. Kirby Smart is like ain't many like him, man. Like you can't blend the b I mean, you balance like a Nick Sabin with he kind of combines two or three coaches together, right? and man, I can't wait till next week because it's game week right right. So we're gonna obviously focus on a little bit. I mean, we're not gonna be talking a lot about Tennessee State, but what we are gonna do next week, Fish, is we're gonna talk a little bit about the history and the and the things that give us all the feels of Georgia football and you know what what a game day experience looks like 'cause it's it's just something cool to talk about during the beginning of the season. it's just different, man. And I'm not even talking about I mean, we I'm I know we're biased, but It's just different, man. It's different and I think it's worthy before the season starts to talk a little bit about the history. But number nine, Georgia, the schedule gives Georgia a chance, right? I think this is huge, right? schedule includes Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, Arkansas. But when you you know, you hit this this line of I mean y to say this is an easier schedule than some have drawn, I mean, you look at Oklahoma, when you say that and we have Oklahoma, Alabama, Ole Miss And then you mix in going to South Carolina late. So is South Carolina do they I mean, is Shane Beamer still the coach there? And if he is, I think that means they're doing well. So you it's a hard game, right? And then Missouri, like is Ahmad Hardy. I've heard Ahmad Hardy's gonna be held out the first two games. Georgia, Florida is in Atlanta. That's gonna be a weird scenario. Auburn comes in with this is not as easy on paper as you think. However, it's easier than some of the people have that could really be What do you feel about the schedule? How do you feel like this helps, you know, as far as a good season is concerned? Adam Fisher: I don't know if our schedule gives us a chance. There's like anybody who's looking by Florida and saying that that's a cakewalk, Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: that's a dub. I mean I am because I'm a Georgia fan and you know I think yeah, eleven and one, that's what we're gonna do. There's only one game that I'm worried about and that's Ole Miss because it's a rogue game. but that Georgia Florida game i is gonna be it's gonna be tough. If you don't think that Summerall, right, that's a that's the coach, the new Florida coach, right? It isn't, you know, gonna Ted Turner: Yeah, John Summer. Adam Fisher: coach his tail off trying to make a splash, and what better way for him to make a splash than do something Napier hasn't been able to do? You know, or the coach maybe even before Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: Napier, I don't think I don't think we've lost to Florida in a in a good while. I'm not sure exactly how long it's been, but it's been a minute. it's almost like Georgia, you know, in the nineties losing to Spurrier every year, you know. The tables have turned and I love it. but our schedule is not a Ted Turner: Yeah. Yeah. Mm-mm. Adam Fisher: cakewalk. Like we're gonna have to be on top of our game, every game. Ted Turner: Yeah, I totally agree, man. Totally agree. Number ten to to finalize it out, this team is hungry. It's hungry. might be the biggest one. I think Georgia has been winning SEC championships. I think the postseason hasn't ended the way Kirby Smart wants it to. I think this team has something to prove. And I think that makes us very dangerous. That's about all I got about that one. What do you what do you what do you say, Fish? Adam Fisher: Yeah. I think after the way the last two seasons have gone, almost identical Ted Turner: Mm-hmm. Adam Fisher: postseasons. You know, Gunner, month off, Louisiana, Sugar Bowl, loss. Like it it it it hurts and and and I ev I don't but I don't think that's the sea I don't think that's this team's identity. I don't think that's this team's like path. I think things are gonna happen, it's gonna work out and We're we're gonna be good. We're gonna be okay. 'Cause you're right, this team is super hungry, especially the guys that have been here for the past two years, who this is year three at least, with the team. You know, we've got a much more mature team and we've got some full blown leaders on the team. Our leadership this year is is gonna be much improved from last year. Ted Turner: Love it. All right, fish. Official week zero pick'em. We get to man, I love I mean, this kind of gives us a warm up to next week, right? It's gonna be a great week next week, man. And this is the last Saturday to not have Georgia football. Until the off week, Adam Fisher: my god, yep. Ted Turner: of course. notable games that we're not gonna pick. but this will probably be the first and last time you're gonna call out on dogs down south. as far as a pick. So hope you enjoy it. Mercyhurst at Youngstown State. These are games that are happening the week of August twenty seventh, which is week zero this week. you got Maine at Townsend. You have let's see here. You got Stony Brook at Delaware State. You got Lafayette at Georgetown. You have Houston Christian at southeastern Louisiana. You have Eastern Illinois at Murray State. You have Chattanooga at West Georgia, Charleston Southern at Lindenwood, Southern Illinois at West Florida, Gardner Webb at Austin P, Central Arkansas at UT Martin, and then LIU at North Dakota. So then you got Idaho Friday at Cal Poly. Now the first game we'll pick though, fish out of the five or six that we will do will be Memphis at UNL V. this could be one of the best games of week zero. obviously UNL V. you got Dan Mullen. you got the old, what's the kid that did not do very well but played for Auburn last year? starting quarterback, man, isn't that sad? probably got robbed on the go on Adam Fisher: my god, what was his name? Ted Turner: the goal line versus Georgia. Anyways. So Memphis, who obviously has Charles Huff, the new quarter new the new coach there, who's a lot of promise out of Memphis. could be a really good game, man. Like I said, remember viewers, this is gonna be this is gonna be one for the eighties. We're picking week zero, but who do you got fishing this game? And give me a score. Adam Fisher: Give me UNLV by two touchdowns. Ted Turner: UNLV, yeah. I like UNLV too, man. I I like the you know, Dan Mullen been there. I think it's time for him to make a statement. I think he's had some opportunity to get some players that that he can fit the system in. You got Huff, you got opening week. He has his first game. He got to go on the road. He's changing time zones. Yeah, I think I think UNLV gets UNLV gets it done. What did you call it? By two touchdowns? Adam Fisher: Yeah, two touchdowns. Ted Turner: Yeah, give it to me close, man. Give me give me like four. Give me like a twenty four. twenty game or something like that. I don't know. Adam Fisher: There you Ted Turner: It it works. It works. Hawaii at Stanford. Cardinals at home. these are two teams obviously they're not looking to to make a big splash this year. Hawaii travels kind of close for them to that California coast over there to play Stanford. Who you got, Fish? Adam Fisher: I like watching Hawaii play week zero. Hmm. their home and home with Vanderbilt was actually really entertaining. so I'm gonna stick with fighting rainbows. Ted Turner: Fighting rainbows. gimme Stanford. you ever seen that show, Whose Line Is It Anyway, where they don't count the points and they don't care who wins. Adam Fisher: Yeah. Ted Turner: this is, you know, by a thousand points Stanford. Who cares, right? Sacramento State at Eastern Michigan. This one is this is a this this is another one, man. It's like, what do you do, man? Week zero, right? I I looked into this game a little bit. and I s the one thing that stood out to me is is that I saw that these teams are very evenly matched. but the one thing that stands out a little bit more is obviously Eastern Michigan has a little bit better of a pipeline to choose from. But for me, I'll pick this game first. I'm gonna call upset. I'm gonna call Sacramento State. I'm gonna call weirdest game of week zero safety. Safety when they're trying just to down the ball. To go into overtime. Safety. I don't know, man. Let's just call it something water boy style. give me Sacramento State up say who you got, fish. Adam Fisher: I'm gonna just because you said Sacramento State, I'm going eastern Michigan. By twenty one. Ted Turner: love it. I love it. All right. Three more games. these are these are a little bit more real to us, right? NC State heads down to Virginia. I mean, NC State looking I mean NC State likes their chances this year in the ACC. You got the quarterback that's really proven. I have bad notes on my my picks tonight, so I'm sorry in advance. But Virginia obviously this is second year. Third year under Elliott? maybe third year. Yeah. so this looks to be a misses at Virginia. This is early in the year. I mean, who do you got in this one, Fish? Adam Fisher: You know, Virginia I watched them play a couple of times last year and I think if they've built on the success they had last year, then I think they're gonna be okay this year. NC State is kinda right there too, like the same level of the conference, like right in the middle somewhere, maybe middle bottom. I'm gonna I'm going with the the Cavaliers. Ted Turner: I like it, man. Gimme, give me NC State. I like the quarterback at NC State. I like what NC State has in the ACC. This is the reason why we pick SEC and the biggest games out there. San Jose State at USC. USC, you know, jumped out of the blocks this year, top fifteen team. Everybody's like, This is Lincoln Riley's year. He's still playing in the Big Ten though, and the Big Ten still has the Big Three. and I don't And I'm not including them in the big three. but I wanna know Fish who you think is gonna win this game. Adam Fisher: Give me US C but it's closer than you think it would be. Ted Turner: Okay. Okay. I like it. I I like USC and I like I mean, Meava, speed, I think USC wins, but doesn't this just feel like that wonky where's that wonky week zero game? I don't know which one it might be, Adam Fisher: Exactly. Ted Turner: but it might be this one. You might be right. You you a hundred percent could be right on this one. Last two, New Mexico State at Florida State. for me, no overthinking this one. 'Cause I will tell you that if Florida State doesn't win this I'm very concerned. I'm very concerned this game's close for Florida State this year. so give me Florida State. I'm not gonna really overthink this one. Who who you got, Fish? Adam Fisher: Why not? It would be so much fun to overthink this game because Mike Norvell is garbage. he he's not a good coach. And the fact that he even has a job right now is amazing to me. Gimme gimme Florida State just because. Ted Turner: Just because. Give me Florida State because if anything, that's gonna be the one. There's gonna be some weirdness, man. It could be right there. The big game of week zero, the big one. Dublin, Ireland. This will be where game day is at for week zero. you got North Carolina, the fighting Tar Heels, the mighty Tar Heels, with the coaching staff that's considerably diminishing as we speak. versus TCU. I think I think this will be obviously the best game of week zero. This is going to be probably the closest game. I really can't tell you. I mean this week zero is like a week zero and week one are kind of a you start kind of seeing like like a product of what's going to be on the field. But Fish, who do you got for this game kicking off in Dublin? Ireland. I just put a D on Dublin. Adam Fisher: you know, honestly, this is one of those games where I'm just so excited for meaningful competitive football, you know, and it's usually a big game. The Georgia Tech game last year was was pretty fun to watch. I can't remember who they played, but it was a pretty entertaining game. Joe Testator and Jesse Palmer are usually the ones who call the game, which I think that's a really good duo. I like them. so I'm just I don't really care who wins, but I'm gonna pick. I'm gonna pick TCU. Because I think Belichick and his whole world right now is just one colossal joke. And I don't Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: think I can't he needs to just walk off, he needs to get away and just ride off into the sunset and be the greatest NFL coach to ever do it. But that's just another reason, man. College and pros are so different. And in in college you Ted Turner: You gotta wonder, yeah. Adam Fisher: you you've gotta be able to relate to these players better. I mean, they're not professionals, they are professionals. But they're at a different point in their life. The maturity level is different. And the NFL Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: has always been a business. And now college football is in that direction. Yes, I get that. But Belichick bit off way more than he could chew. Ted Turner: I don't know what he was doing with this. I mean, I'll be honest with you. I don't know what he was doing. I don't know w what his what his take was. Maybe he just missed it. I mean man, I'm a I I struggle saying this, but like don't you have that like th thirty year old wife or something like that who I don't know I Do you think? Well, I don't think she wanted him at She didn't want him at Adam Fisher: She talked him into it, dude. She she had to have had something to do with it. She had to have something to do with it. Why would he want to come back? Ted Turner: she didn't want him at home. She didn't she didn't want him at home, bro. It's a sugar daddy. Adam Fisher: Yeah, I know. I'm gonna marry you, but I don't ever want to see you. Ted Turner: I know if you stay in the game, I don't have to see you. You're gonna be recruiting and I can go yeah. Isn't that another podcast? As the world turns Adam Fisher: That's right. Yep, that is. Yep. Ted Turner: I got TCU, man. I think and I'm gonna be honest with I agree with you. If TCU wins this really, really badly, if it's just bad, I don't know, man. North Carolina's already making plans. I mean they're they're making plans, they gotta be right. They're like, Whoa, whoa, whoa. Yeah. Adam Fisher: They better be. This is definitely Belichick's last year, barring he makes a deep playoff run somehow. But we all know that's not gonna happen. Ted Turner: Yeah, I agree. Yeah, give me TCU, I agree. If it was a score, like I'm I'm I this does not for Belichick's sake, it's gotta be close. Okay. For viewers' sake, I hope it's close. but I don't think as many points as I was thinking in t initially. I think you know, Dublin, you know, they've always every year there's a little bit of weather stuff, concerns there. They've had rain, they've had stuff going on, so i I think it comes down to who can run the ball, who can play defense, and I think TCU is gonna gonna win the day on those areas. so give me give me twenty seven twenty one. A couple field goals in there for TCU maybe. Adam Fisher: That's a good thing. Ted Turner: twenty seven twenty one TCU I think sounds about right. I don't think there's been a lot of points scored. But hey man fish it's been fun man. This is the last week we'll do besides besides the bye week before Georgia we will not be playing and if you're just if you're joining the night consistently usually on nights like this we're talking usually I'll do most of the time first in the week. If we if I'm if I'm blessed to have Fish or Rich Man with me, we will do like a recap show on a Monday or Tuesday and then usually can consistently find us on a Wednesday or Thursday night doing our preview of the game that week as well as pick we pick all the games in the SC C as well as if we dabble out there in a couple of games that might be interesting. in other conferences. So that's what you kinda can expect going forward from here. But Fish, any last thoughts tonight before we head into week or we get to experience week zero this week and then next week it is officially man, I can't tell you how many weeks I've been counting down to say this, but officially game week for here on Adam Fisher: Well Ted Turner: the Dogs Down South podcast. Adam Fisher: I am I am super excited and I can't wait. I can smell the grass, like we always say, like it's right around the corner. I'm gonna be I'm just hyped for this weekend, much less, you know, Georgia Tennessee State next week. But I wanna say, you know, we haven't mentioned yet, but RIP to Dolly Parton. I feel like Ted Turner: Yeah, man. Adam Fisher: I feel like we would be overlooking something huge if we didn't say something about it. Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: That's it's a huge, huge, huge loss and she will be Ted Turner: Yeah. Adam Fisher: greatly missed. Ted Turner: Yeah, rest in peace, Dolly, man. I agree. I agree. That's a pretty good final word, man. I was gonna say zippers again for three weeks in a row, but but I'll keep it I'll keep it a buck, bro. And yeah. Adam Fisher: zippers. My bad. My bad. Ted Turner: Rest in peace, Dolly, man. What a what a icon, man. She was such a caring man. Such a giving, giving person, just I mean, man. That's a tough one. I saw it earlier today too, man. And so yeah, I don't have any dolly. I would I'd play I'd play some Dolly right now if I had something queued up. You should have you should told me, man, I had something queued up. Fish, Adam Fisher: yeah, some nine to five right now would be great. Ted Turner: sing it, bro. but anyways, man, always a pleasure, fish. This has been a really good week. I think I think as dog fans that that listen to this show, I think we're ready, man. We ten reasons why we're gonna be successful this year. We we got a good feeling this is what you're gonna see rolling out there, barring any last minute just craziness. so we're pre we're prepared next week to go through a little bit of history. We'll get the we'll get the blood stirring next week. We'll talk history, we'll talk you know, some of the things we like from a game day experience, you know, and and things of that nature.
