- 0:00Oh say, trouble comes in twos. I'm watching you fellas. Welcome everyone,
- 0:07We're glad you're here. Thank you for joining us. This morning.
- 0:10It's the last morning of springtime here in Oklahoma, in the beginning of summer.
- 0:14This afternoon the longest day of the year, so it is, and
- 0:19it feels like summer is basically going to show up on time. Yeah.
- 0:26Well, it's pretty seasonal now, and we've got a big doubleheader this afternoon
- 0:31down at the ball field. We'll be playing baseball and everybody. We're getting
- 0:35ready for the Widget Tournament right around the corner July fourth, and we'll be
- 0:40playing a lot of ball over the next couple of weeks. We got lots
- 0:45of we're pushing for a really strong finish at the dealership this month. Oh
- 0:48yeah, yeah. Newer inventory arriving daily, including the much anticipated first Edition's
- 0:58So Cool looking Bread. We have a winner, and we will announce that
- 1:03next week. But for now, we've got the vehicle on the Toyota showroom
- 1:06and it's available for inspection and review if you want to come out and take
- 1:10a look. It's really a beautiful vehicle. We've got three more of them
- 1:15that'll be here soon and not a first edition. The first edition is going
- 1:21to be I think, really rare. Only five thousand of them were made,
- 1:23and so I see you're doing something right if you were getting three more
- 1:29is it all a long cruises? There are going to be a full spectrum
- 1:32of different vehicles, So if you want to check it out. There's another
- 1:34really great trim package called nineteen fifty eight, which we've got one of those
- 1:40coming cool. Another they're pretty well loaded, the land Cruiser, and then
- 1:46another one we just got allocated that I haven't seen the details on them yet,
- 1:49but I spent some time looking at the land Cruiser yesterday, Brad.
- 1:53I was just steering at that new is it the I four Max? That
- 1:59is great engine in incredible piece of engineering. Yeah, it's great that all
- 2:04the technology and the toyotas right now is really outstanding, and the different power
- 2:07trains and fuel economy that they offer are is outstanding. And you know,
- 2:13we did other new vehicle, a new inventory that's arrived recently. We have
- 2:17a new Squalia on the ground, Tacomas Tundras was zero percent financing. We've
- 2:23got a twenty five camera zero finance. Yeah, I went right through there
- 2:30and twenty five cameray. We have finally have one of those that's on the
- 2:34ground that available. We've had a few we've had to chase down for folks,
- 2:39but haven't We finally have the new camera on the ground so you can
- 2:43come check that out. I've got toilet crown the Corolla and Stock and Corolla
- 2:49Cross. The Corolla Cross. Yeah, that is an intriguing little car.
- 2:53It's all catch your eye. It's a great car, you know. That's
- 2:57the one my uncle Bob is getting. He's been driving a Forward Echo Sport,
- 3:01so it's a great size vehicle for him. That's what he likes is
- 3:06he can get kind of move right into it with having to go up or
- 3:09down, which as nice as you get older for that, you know.
- 3:14So but he's he's getting getting a Corol across here later this week. And
- 3:20so got a great stuff on the Toyota side and on the Ford side,
- 3:24we've got a Bronco Raptor in again, another Bronco Raptor, which you've got
- 3:29to check it out. It's an incredible beast of a vehicle. Really,
- 3:35I've got all the power and technology you need to go anywhere. I'll say
- 3:39I've seen all different types of Broncos populating our thoroughfairs here lately, and many
- 3:45of them have the done just stamp on. Yeah, they're going to be
- 3:47great. They're great, and we've got got more inventory on him now.
- 3:53We were starting to really ramp up. For the first few years of Bronco,
- 3:57you know, we've been really in short supply. We've had people waiting
- 4:00two years to get the specific one they ordered, but it's all starting to
- 4:03kind of come together. We have Ford announced this week they're going to open
- 4:10back up what they call the retail order sweep for super Duty, which is
- 4:14great news for our customers around here because for the since there were so many
- 4:19commodity issues over the last couple of years, getting a super Duty built to
- 4:24your specifications has been really difficult, and particularly because they're just in they cannot
- 4:30build another in high demand and then they got behind with that chip shortage and
- 4:38so we were it's been really hard to get a But now there for smaller
- 4:43dealers like who we are, you'll be able to We'll be able to put
- 4:46a retail order in for someone and they'll sweep those first before they build any
- 4:50for the rest of the country. So it allows for smaller dealers to get
- 4:55access to this great premium product. A lot of times it's hard for us
- 5:00to win that numbers game and get get that, you know, the perfect
- 5:03selection of super duties for our people when they're in such great demand. So
- 5:08now that was the time to come in and get you in an order,
- 5:11get that order placed for later this year. If you're going to on a
- 5:15super duty before the year end. A lot of people will be looking for
- 5:17that was kind of new vehicles to put into service for their businesses near the
- 5:23end of the year, and we've got so now's a great time to do
- 5:27that and we'll be We're doing orders on all all the vehicle lines, including
- 5:32Toyota. So if you want to come in and work with the team,
- 5:35you know, I know inventory is still not back to where it was a
- 5:39few years ago, but it's starting to normalize and we certainly have the selection
- 5:44and ability to go get just about anything for you. So the other thing
- 5:50I was noticing when I was coming out here is the great used car selection
- 5:56that we've got right now, Jason, we really do. We've got to
- 5:59Rev four out there, that is a twenty twenty Wrap four under nine thousand
- 6:04miles, very very low miles, so I say, and it's priced like
- 6:09vehicles with seventy or eighty thousand more miles. Yeah, I was. I
- 6:12actually that was the one in the used cars that came up for repricing this
- 6:15morning. And so I looked at it today, and I and looked at
- 6:20every wrat four like it within seven hundred and fifty miles, and it is
- 6:26the lowest mile vehicle. And like I said, it's all the When I
- 6:30sorted by price, all the vehicles around it in our the price range had
- 6:35seventy sixty seventy thousand miles, and this one is under ten thousand miles.
- 6:41And if you're in the market for a great used car, go to Dungeonstoyota
- 6:47dot com. And it is a beautiful Route four. Jason, I feel
- 6:54that one migrating to my drive it might be. Yeah, on the low
- 7:00end of the spectrum, we've got lower price vehicles. There's an older Ford
- 7:06for two thousand and seven model that's just forty nine dollars and forever. It's
- 7:15great. It's a great vehicle. It's definitely been well maintained. You know,
- 7:19it's a little bit older, it's used car, but for under five
- 7:23thousand dollars, we've got things like a twenty four Super Duty in stock.
- 7:29I talked about how rare these are. We have a lariat right now on
- 7:31the ground. It's discounted two thousand dollars. Plus you've got some additional potential
- 7:39incentives on that. You know, there's private offers out there for Ford owners
- 7:43and other people up to four thousand dollars. I was looking to report yesterday
- 7:48we've had several people take advantage of the private offer. We were working with
- 7:55some folks yesterday afternoon on an expedition. They were wanting to well. I
- 8:01was helping them with an issue they had on their explorer, and and they
- 8:05we started showing them the expedition and next thing you knew, they were putting
- 8:09their name on one that'll be here in a couple of weeks. But yeah,
- 8:13it's a it's a great, great time to come in check all that
- 8:18out and we'll help you out. Yeah, come come down to Dungeons Ford
- 8:22or Dungeons Toyota. You know, it's also a good time to uh make
- 8:28sure that your car is being well maintained because there there may be a little
- 8:31heat strain on it over the next few days. Uh. If your air
- 8:35conditioning is not blowing cold today, it's not going to get any colder tomorrow.
- 8:41You can come down to Dungeons Ford or Dungeons Toyota, either make an
- 8:48appointment online or drop in and in fact a Dungeons Ford. Give us a
- 8:54call at nine eight three three three nine hundred. We will pick up and
- 9:01deliver your vehicle for meat and it's something like swamping out windshield wipoos or doing
- 9:09an oil change, We'll come pick it up. Yeah, we'll do the
- 9:13service placing batteries. We did one of those this week. Come big,
- 9:16pick it up for a month to day to somewhere on the order of about
- 9:20fifteen percent of our repair orders are being done through the mobile service or pick
- 9:24up and delivery, so a lot of people taking advantage of that. We
- 9:28do have some new incentives that Ford recently announced. I saw that some of
- 9:35them focused on F one fifty. So if you're looking at the market for
- 9:37a new truck, here's an opportunity for you to save some money. We've
- 9:41got total savings of almost eighty four hundred dollars on a twenty four dollars year
- 9:46F one fifty XLT four x four Supercrew with the power boost engine. You
- 9:52can that includes nine hundred and ninety nine dollars in a dealer discount. But
- 9:58that's a great say thing you can get. They've thrown ninety days no payment,
- 10:01ninety days no payment. You can on all the xlts you can get
- 10:07Now you can get three point nine percent on your sixty month loan with approved
- 10:13credit plus a fifteen hundred dollars rebate and the Dungeons discounts, so that if
- 10:18you if you're not interested in the interest rate, you can have total of
- 10:22thirty five hundred dollars in cash on that of those vehicles. And with the
- 10:28lease package on the F one fifty, the special Regional lease, it does
- 10:33have some money do at signing, but it's four hundred and eighty nine dollars
- 10:37a month for thirty six months. That's sad. So you're getting that under
- 10:41five hundred dollars a month on a brand new F one fifty. I've noticed
- 10:45that Ford is getting as aggressive as Toyota on the leases. Yeah, no,
- 10:50that's you know, it's it's a great idea for someone to consider,
- 10:54if you know a lease is really where you're just buying part of the vehicle.
- 10:58Sometimes we used to call it half the of the car. You know,
- 11:01you're buying the the what they call the part before the residual value.
- 11:05How much will it be worth at the end of the thirty six months or
- 11:09twenty four months. You can make what they call it one pay leaves,
- 11:13where you pay for it all at once and take care of it just like
- 11:16you're making a cash purchase, but only have to pay for part of the
- 11:22vehicle. Then at the end of the lease, you have the opportunity to
- 11:26either purchase your vehicle the rest of it, buy it for the residual value
- 11:30that you can see agreed upon with the leasing company before you make the decision,
- 11:35or you can you can walk away from it and get a new vehicle.
- 11:41You can if you have equity in it, you can buy it and
- 11:43trade it in and get that equity so it gives you all the all the
- 11:46best value. In the end, you don't have if you think about it,
- 11:50you don't have the risk of the residual value of fluctuation. If it's
- 11:54if they estimate it's too high and they and they actually are underwater, you're
- 11:58going to give it back to the them and let them mess with that.
- 12:01If you value as too low, you're going to win. You can you
- 12:05can win and access that cash back for yourself. That works on a one
- 12:11pay lease or on one that you pay monthly. Uh, you know it
- 12:15doesn't work in some situations if you have if you vary your mileage a lot,
- 12:20because you're kind of it's based on a certain amount of time and miles,
- 12:24and so if you're not predictable in your mileage, it could be uh,
- 12:28you don't want to go over and and have to pay mileage charges.
- 12:33And and of course you if you're going to be a low mile and you
- 12:35know, if you're going to have low mileage, you can structure the lease
- 12:39to have really low miles and and you don't want to pay too much.
- 12:43Right, if you don't drive all the miles too, you essentially left little
- 12:48money on the table. Yeah, good good tax benefits for small businesses.
- 12:52It also does have some tax benefits. We don't want to be your tax
- 12:56advisor, but but if you talk to them, I know, if you
- 12:58put if you or I used to be a schedule see business owner back before,
- 13:07and you know I did lease vehicles then because I could just expense the
- 13:11miles and uh and uh. It was a really great, great opportunity and
- 13:16there attacks people can explain that to you. It's did have to keep a
- 13:20log and there's some other requirements to that. So you want to definitely talk
- 13:24to your tax Definitely. Everything has to be well, that's how it goes
- 13:31in today's world. Yeah, and especially with all these complex incentives and different
- 13:37things going on. But you know, I just we do really try to
- 13:41keep that simple and put the those numbers in front of you right on the
- 13:45website where you can go out and and essentially work your own car deal.
- 13:48You can answer all your questions about the payment incentives and what if I finance,
- 13:56what if I just leave the interest rate, look at the manufacturers financing
- 14:01offers versus other banks or leasing. It's really a cool way to chop at
- 14:09home. And we use the same tool or we're getting ready to really deploy
- 14:15it out completely into the whole sales process. The same tool you use online.
- 14:18Now, well, we're going to start deploying in the showroom so we'll
- 14:22be able to pick up right where you left off. It will empower our
- 14:26salesmen to really go much quicker through the deal for you and help you speed
- 14:33things up and that you know where you're really just calculating numbers and stuff.
- 14:39So it can really help us focus on getting the right vehicle for you,
- 14:46making sure that it meets your needs, making sure that we've gone over it
- 14:48completely and can show you all the safety and technology features that you're getting,
- 14:54and spend that quality time with you working on that stuff and finding the right
- 14:58deal for you rather than working on the deal. Because with our great simple
- 15:03price and market based pricing and these tools, you know, it's just really
- 15:09changing how it works. And I think, especially over the next year or
- 15:15so, as we uh, you know, work into changing how we do
- 15:20things and focusing on the Toyota brand, like we talked about last week,
- 15:26that that we're really going to evolve that sales process and and be using it,
- 15:30it will look very different I think in the future. Hey, speaking
- 15:35of focusing on the Toyota brand, you know, I've been getting I've been
- 15:41getting a lot of questions, uh online about what's going on with Ford and
- 15:46uh, I've seen some of that. I was actually the people that we
- 15:52sold the expedition to yesterday. I was out after our show last week looking
- 15:56at the podcast and and watching and some responses to that, and they were
- 16:02talking about the issue with their explored and so I reached out to them and
- 16:06they I talked to them. They had a bunch of great questions. No,
- 16:10I'm not retiring. That's the first thing that seems to under one relation.
- 16:17We are focusing and that is a great, great, great thing for
- 16:21us. Uh. You know, I do think that there's some real advantages
- 16:25to the Toyota brand right now. The whole industry is going. We talked
- 16:29about the change in the retail process and what consumers expectations and this you know,
- 16:33in this world of Amazon and large corporations, uh really controlling a lot
- 16:38of the retail stream and then getting into the automotive page, they definitely are
- 16:44and so the the there's intense pressure on the smaller dealers in the country to
- 16:49to change and to be a keep ahead of this. And a lot of
- 16:53times the big guys can move quicker or have scale advantages that we just don't
- 16:59have. What in terms of the Toyota business, We're really going to focus
- 17:04on that. And I don't think a lot of people realize how long Dungeons
- 17:11has been in the Toyota business. Well, we have for since nineteen sixty
- 17:15eight. We're the oldest Toyota dealer in the state of Oklahoma. It was
- 17:18in Bartlesville before my grandfather purchased it. It was on the west side of
- 17:22town, out by where we used to have a used car lot by Murphy's
- 17:27and it was just a little like at an automower repair shop or something.
- 17:36And look how far we got thirty thousand square foot dealership that we were really
- 17:41proud to build in two thoy sixteen and finished up in sixteen and we are
- 17:48the first and only lead certified dealership in the state of Oklahoma. Where this
- 17:55is a super it's very efficient, you know, like Toyota, we're efficient
- 18:00for all the right reasons, right and we really you know, it's saving
- 18:04us money. It give a lower cost to operate, you know, better
- 18:08efficiency in the vehicle. And I think at the end of the day,
- 18:12that's a theme that runs through Toyota. It definitely is. I mean,
- 18:18why are you so excited about Toyota people asking, Well, because they have
- 18:22navigated a lot of change well before and they tend to stick to their plans.
- 18:27And I just think as we enter this next period, you're going to
- 18:32see a lot of uncertainty in the product strategy by all the manufacturers. You've
- 18:37seen that in the last year in the EV market and expectations changing. Just
- 18:44a year ago they were expecting one hundred and forty eight different electric vehicle models
- 18:48to be out in the twenty five to twenty eight range, and now it's
- 18:52down to one hundred and thirteen. It's so these you know where it's shifting.
- 18:56And I think consistency in the plan and Toyota's a really real advantage in
- 19:03hybrids is going to prove prove the out to be a real advantage. We
- 19:07started with those the whole game show. I mean, but you think about
- 19:12it, It started with Prias and and now it's available on every vehicle line
- 19:18you know, and it's and it's changed. It's not just dialed in to
- 19:22be super efficient. It can be, but it's also can be dialed in
- 19:26to give you more power, lots of power, speed, torque, you
- 19:30know, whatever you need to work or play or or just get to work.
- 19:36And uh, you know, and I think the reliability of the Toyota,
- 19:38the great resale value of Toyoto. We talked about the how leasing works
- 19:45residual. One of the things that Toyota's great advantage is their residual values.
- 19:49You know, sometimes in the days of big manufacturer incentives UH. You know,
- 19:55Toyota doesn't really play in that game with ten thousand dollars off that If
- 20:00you think about that, that's taking a new car and just devaluate valuing immediately.
- 20:06Then you know, let's just price them where they should be and you'll
- 20:11be efficient. It helps retain the value. If you build a good vehicle
- 20:15and it retains its value, you get more on the trade in, it
- 20:18lasts longer, and your cost of ownership is quite significantly less. And you
- 20:25know, so I just think that it's a great product and that their consistency
- 20:30and the loyalty of their customers everything lines up that they're going to have an
- 20:33advantage over these next few years. And I do think that, you know,
- 20:38we're going to have to have a lot more evs in the mix,
- 20:41but the high volume conbustion engines that we've got today are not going to go
- 20:45away easily. And we all know again going back to that I formats that's
- 20:52in the UH in the pretty so we don't have a Tacoma yet, but
- 21:02virtually all of them. I mean Camri is all hybrid now and all wheel
- 21:07drive. The Crown is all hybrid, is all hybrid and all wheel drive.
- 21:11But you would never know it they are. It does not drive like
- 21:18the first generation Prius. No, it does not. Come check it out.
- 21:23That Crown is something to behold. That's anfle r the You know,
- 21:29we talked a little bit about that land cruiser. I want to just remind
- 21:32people that it's there on the showroom now. If you've heard about this,
- 21:36or you just are intrigued by the all new land crews, or it's a
- 21:38chance to see a one for a bit, or they're going to be rare
- 21:42for a little bit here until they get more of them built and out out
- 21:47to dealers so we can maybe have some meat demand. We've had a lot
- 21:51of inquiries from all over the country, and we do we have kind of
- 21:55created an application process in a list. But now that we've got the first
- 22:00one and the winner selected and about to announce that, it'll start to move
- 22:03quicker and more. Traditionally, we'll have a list and be able to help
- 22:07you find the right land cruiser and so reach out to us if you're in
- 22:11the market for a land Cruiser, you can come take a look at the
- 22:14beautiful black first edition we've got on the showroom right now. Definitely if you're
- 22:21a land Cruiser officion auto or a Jeep person who wants to abandon Jeep.
- 22:26I didn't want to say that, Yeah, now's the time, come come
- 22:30check it out. If yes, this first edition is reminiscent of the original
- 22:38original land Cruiser in nineteen fifty eight. The next few models and the nineteen
- 22:44fifty eight will be also and then the Toyota is building this vehicle to challenge
- 22:53our friends over Jeep am Bronco and Bronco frankly, and so check that out.
- 23:00We also have a Sequalia on the ground that's pretty rare if you want.
- 23:03If people have been wanting to see that, it's a chance to get
- 23:07in and take a test drive in all news Sequoia. It's a beautiful platinum
- 23:11silver with the blue stitching, just like the Thunder I'm driving right now.
- 23:17Really like it if you want. Maybe if you want to save some money,
- 23:21well you could buy the Tundra. If you're in the market for a
- 23:23Tundra. I got big discounts on it because I've driven it a little bit,
- 23:26only about one thousand miles. But but we could price it, uh
- 23:32blow end boys, and a great, great price for you, and then
- 23:36I'll maybe I'll be able to drive the Sequoia. So some ulterior movient,
- 23:45Yes, I was definitely it's either what it really is. So gotta got
- 23:56to send a shout out to our friends at Dungeons. They have been swamped
- 24:03this spring. Storms have been pretty active as we all know, and lots
- 24:08of vehicles being repaired, lots of hail damage and everything you can imagine.
- 24:14Uh, they've been taking care of people. They're a great team. If
- 24:18you do need work, you know, we are scheduled out a little bit,
- 24:22but bring your vehicle in we'll be we can get to it just as
- 24:26soon as possible. And they did a great job, fantastic. All insurance.
- 24:32All insurance insurance is another thing that keeps coming up with people. I
- 24:37know, the car buying process, and you know, there's a lot of
- 24:40changes in the vehicles that is infecting insurance companies and so the in the premiums
- 24:48that they they charge people, and they have been going up dramatically. I'm
- 24:52sure most people who have car insurance realize that, so there's you know,
- 24:59we can help with that. We have insurance programs both with Ford and Toyota
- 25:03that can be competitive. These ours are do ensure that you get your vehicle
- 25:10repaired with OEM parts. So it's a really great advantage, but you really
- 25:15want to shop the price make sure you're getting the best deal on that.
- 25:18I know that fits into the budget discussion with any vehicle, well, it
- 25:22really does. When you are, you know, budgeting for a car,
- 25:26you should know that your insurance costs are going to vary. And we're really
- 25:30proud to be the only dealer OEM body shop in town, so we really
- 25:37focus on repairing it back to your manufacturers top quality. We have a team
- 25:41of guys that are really great at what they do. And if you think
- 25:45about the complexity of these vehicles and how what things cost now with all the
- 25:48electronics out there, even in your mirrors or in your front bumper, with
- 25:53the cameras and things, these things need to be prepared right so that your
- 25:59safety equipment goes comes back together and can help you, you know, keep
- 26:03your vehicle safe. There on the one hand, the safety equipment helps you
