- 0:35Speaker 1: Am I okay? Oh my god? And I'm joined with
- 0:41Speaker 1: the One, the only, the beautiful, deciding, the Magnificent, the
- 0:46Speaker 1: bitch of He's a bitch, Jacob.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Coming from the bitch.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I'm not a bitch. I'm an angel. I'm a saint.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I am the I am the uh I make your
- 1:02Speaker 1: life interesting. I am that little I'm that little piece
- 1:07Speaker 1: of your life. You're just like, oh my god, I
- 1:09Speaker 1: love that he's in my life. Yeah, he says that,
- 1:16Speaker 1: and then I don't message him for a day or
- 1:18Speaker 1: two and he's like are you good? He's like, are
- 1:23Speaker 1: you okaying?
- 1:25Speaker 2: I mean for real though, like you you stop messaging me,
- 1:27Speaker 2: and I'm just like.
- 1:30Speaker 1: No messages on tiktoks nothing and you're just like, hello,
- 1:33Speaker 1: like if.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You if you break our TikTok streak, oh.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Never, never, we're at seven, we're at seven hundred.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Never, uh huh never.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Never. I will kill somebody before that goes out.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I mean there are days where like I will I'll
- 1:51Speaker 2: be busy and I won't even be on TikTok at all.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And then like near the end of the day, I'm
- 1:55Speaker 2: just like, oh shit, yeah, like pop on the happened?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Send him and just send him a video.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Like a breaking video. We have to save the streak.
- 2:06Speaker 1: We put too much work into that. I want to
- 2:07Speaker 1: get to one thousand.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I think what we're our streak is seven hundred.
- 2:12Speaker 1: That's like two years, right, yeah, it's almost two years.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Hold on, let me look it up right, let me
- 2:17Speaker 1: pull it up right now, just for the just for
- 2:19Speaker 1: the viewers. It's right now. We're at right now, we
- 2:23Speaker 1: are at seven hundred and eight.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Damn seven eight, damn damn.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Trust me. I was so mad when TikTok was gonna
- 2:31Speaker 1: get shut down that we were gonna lose our streak.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I was like, your sons of bitches, there.
- 2:36Speaker 2: You what's like, what's double? What's uh? What's three sixty
- 2:40Speaker 2: five doubled?
- 2:41Speaker 1: That's like three six five doubled? Okay, let pop my calculator,
- 2:48Speaker 1: because lord knows, I can't do math in my head.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Three sixty five times two that's seven thirty. So we're
- 2:56Speaker 1: almost at like a full two years. Oh my god,
- 3:00Speaker 1: we're almost a two years. We don't have a problem, y'all.
- 3:06Speaker 1: We don't have a problem. Take Down streak is business,
- 3:09Speaker 1: it's real business. One must breaks it. The other one
- 3:13Speaker 1: has the right to kill them. Period.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah. M like there needs to be a legitimate reason
- 3:20Speaker 2: why it got broken, Like someone will have to be dying, Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 2: in the hospitals, exactly exactly, because if if none of
- 3:30Speaker 2: those conditions are met, then the other one's gonna.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Pull up, Yeah exactly, Yeah, pull up, like bitch, what
- 3:37Speaker 1: you doing? Yeah? Why can't you just go and take off?
- 3:40Speaker 1: Like two seconds? It's in the video. Street is keeping
- 3:44Speaker 1: us together. Streak is keeping our lives together. The one
- 3:49Speaker 1: thing we look forward to every day. No it's not.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's not the one thing I look forward to every day.
- 3:52Speaker 2: But like it's not.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I have to I have to keep that streak.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's always like you like always, I know,
- 3:59Speaker 2: like the the times when you're gonna send me, like
- 4:02Speaker 2: when you start sending the videos, it's always like around
- 4:04Speaker 2: five am. I'll wake up and there it's like, oh yep,
- 4:08Speaker 2: like one or like several tiktoks from Devin five am,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and then like I'll send him a few of my
- 4:13Speaker 2: own and then I'll start working. If this is during
- 4:15Speaker 2: the week, and I go and I start working, I'll
- 4:18Speaker 2: like I'll be in the middle of work and then
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'll just get like a bunch of notifications from Devan's
- 4:22Speaker 2: like like like range. It ranges between eight thirty and
- 4:25Speaker 2: like ten. That's one. Like he'll usually start sending me
- 4:27Speaker 2: a bunch and then like I go on my brakes
- 4:29Speaker 2: and I start sending him more. And it's just a
- 4:31Speaker 2: continuous like it's just a continuous street, like yeah, blood
- 4:36Speaker 2: of videos. Sometimes I send them shit that's funny. Other
- 4:39Speaker 2: times I just send them random videos just like I
- 4:41Speaker 2: don't know if they didn't like this, but I thought
- 4:43Speaker 2: this was funny, and it's just like I have it
- 4:44Speaker 2: at this point.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just a habit I have to I have
- 4:47Speaker 1: to say. And then when I get up at five
- 4:50Speaker 1: in the morning, so easy to go pe break. I'm
- 4:53Speaker 1: like on the toiletgoing union. Anyway, if you listen to
- 5:02Speaker 1: the scripture below, you'll see a link that I'll take
- 5:05Speaker 1: it to the other podcast of the Neonic Void family
- 5:08Speaker 1: of podcasts, as well as the Patreon Please go subscribe.
- 5:13Speaker 1: All that fun stuff will be in the description below
- 5:15Speaker 1: as per usual, so today. What are we talking about
- 5:19Speaker 1: today or what are you talking about today?
- 5:22Speaker 2: So today we are going to be continuing our journey
- 5:25Speaker 2: down the rabbit hole that was the Project Nemesis saga.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So we're going to be doing the quote unque, the
- 5:33Speaker 2: third quote unquote book of the series. Technically it's a
- 5:35Speaker 2: fourth book if you count Island seven thirty one. So
- 5:38Speaker 2: this is the book that we were actually reviewing today
- 5:40Speaker 2: is a sequel and the conclusion to that storyline as
- 5:44Speaker 2: a matter of fact, So we're going to be reviewing book.
- 5:48Speaker 2: We're gonna be reviewing Projects seven thirty one by Jeremy Robinson.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So this book is the official officially, it's the third
- 5:57Speaker 2: book in the Nemesis Saga, fourth book if you count
- 6:00Speaker 2: the prequel Island seven thirty one. Now, this book is
- 6:05Speaker 2: actually going to be exploring more of Nemesis' origins. So
- 6:10Speaker 2: we've already we've already we already knew Nemesis is a bitch.
- 6:16Speaker 1: She is not a bitch. She is the bitch.
- 6:18Speaker 2: She is. That bitch is that he is the She's
- 6:22Speaker 2: the Goddess of vengeance. We all know that she's the
- 6:24Speaker 2: goddess of vengeance. And you know, so basically that means
- 6:27Speaker 2: she's the bitch. She's the goddess of that bitch. And
- 6:29Speaker 2: we'll pull up literally like the goddess of bitch what.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I'll pull up right now.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Literally, she's already, She's already, she's already pulled up. She's like,
- 6:36Speaker 1: where are you at it?
- 6:38Speaker 2: If you read if you read any if you read
- 6:40Speaker 2: any of the Dungeon Caller series, all right, there's a spell.
- 6:43Speaker 2: There's a literal spell called bitch what? And yeah, yeah,
- 6:48Speaker 2: like and literally literally the spell is just like the
- 6:51Speaker 2: spell of like bitch. I'll pull up.
- 6:52Speaker 1: She has that on lock on standby, she has a
- 6:55Speaker 1: spell prepped.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, basically, like that spell just causes like if you
- 6:59Speaker 2: count on when it causes them to like go ballistic
- 7:01Speaker 2: and start attacking everyone around them. And I'm just like, okay, cool, well,
- 7:05Speaker 2: like you know what got us a bitch?
- 7:06Speaker 1: What?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Mm hm And let's see sorry together. I was just
- 7:16Speaker 2: I was reviewing this earlier. Yeah, so kind of you
- 7:21Speaker 2: guys kind of kind of bring everyone back up to speed.
- 7:24Speaker 2: So Nemesis. At the conclusion of the previous book, Nemesis
- 7:28Speaker 2: had barely managed to escape into the ocean after defeating
- 7:32Speaker 2: her offspring. They're they're not technically her offspring. They're the
- 7:36Speaker 2: offspring of the original Nemesis, Nemesis Prime. But seeing as
- 7:41Speaker 2: this Nemesis is is like the clone of Nemesis Prime,
- 7:44Speaker 2: it's like, you know, kind of that weird thing that
- 7:48Speaker 2: would happen with twins, like if you if if you
- 7:50Speaker 2: have an identical twin and you get and you conceive
- 7:53Speaker 2: a child, that child is technically they're your twins child too,
- 7:57Speaker 2: because genetically you're the two of you are so similar
- 7:59Speaker 2: that like if your twin, you and your twin had children,
- 8:02Speaker 2: then your children are technically biological siblings, not just cousins,
- 8:06Speaker 2: because that's your twins as your twins. So kind of
- 8:10Speaker 2: a little well, it's in that kind of ballpark. But
- 8:15Speaker 2: after so, she took a lot of damage from fighting
- 8:18Speaker 2: the from fighting the other Kaiju, and she barely managed
- 8:21Speaker 2: to escape back into the sea because as soon as
- 8:23Speaker 2: the as soon as Nemesis killed the other Kaiju, the
- 8:26Speaker 2: US government immediately turned on her and tried to kill her,
- 8:30Speaker 2: and she fled back into the ocean. And when she
- 8:32Speaker 2: fled into the ocean, she had gone through a special
- 8:35Speaker 2: kind of process that allowed her to purge whatever remaining
- 8:39Speaker 2: human DNAs in her body and whatever remaining human DNA
- 8:44Speaker 2: was in her body, and when she did that, she
- 8:46Speaker 2: ended up releasing like a pod, like purging it through
- 8:50Speaker 2: a politic, a little pod, and that pod actually had
- 8:53Speaker 2: a fully matured version of the of the human DNA
- 8:59Speaker 2: that she she was cloned from, and that was a
- 9:02Speaker 2: girl named Migo. So that was like the whole premise
- 9:05Speaker 2: of Project Mago, and that was also what's set up
- 9:08Speaker 2: the premise of Project Project Nemesis. But now Migo herself
- 9:14Speaker 2: has essentially been resurrected, all right, Now this is not
- 9:18Speaker 2: the original Migo. This is just a clone of Migo,
- 9:21Speaker 2: so she is her own person. She does have some
- 9:23Speaker 2: of the memories of her time while like merged with Nemesis,
- 9:29Speaker 2: and also has some vague memories of when she was
- 9:33Speaker 2: still alive, but it's nothing is very clear to her.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And now like she's living with Hudson and Collins in
- 9:41Speaker 2: the whole FC Fusion Center Peek Gang and now Fusion
- 9:47Speaker 2: Center Pee is also joined by some newcomers. Mark Hawkins
- 9:51Speaker 2: from Island seven thirty one, his girlfriend Juliette, and also
- 9:56Speaker 2: their adopted child, a chimera named Lily. Lily and Migo
- 10:01Speaker 2: actually become really good friends, not only because they're close,
- 10:04Speaker 2: Like physically, Migo and Lily are about the same age,
- 10:07Speaker 2: so they get along really well and they can relate
- 10:09Speaker 2: to each other because they both are the victims of
- 10:13Speaker 2: horrendous experimentations, right, They're both like Lily's mother was a
- 10:19Speaker 2: was literally a creature called Kaiju, and who was this
- 10:22Speaker 2: grotesque who was this grotesque chimera creature created by Unit
- 10:27Speaker 2: seven thirty one. We actually learned a little bit. We
- 10:30Speaker 2: learned a lot more about the organization that continued the
- 10:33Speaker 2: experiments on Island seven thirty one. That organization was called
- 10:36Speaker 2: God Genetic Offense Directive or God God God, and they
- 10:45Speaker 2: were the ones that had continued the experiments on Island
- 10:48Speaker 2: seven thirty one, and they were also the ones that
- 10:51Speaker 2: orchestrated its destruction, because when Mark Hopkins and the other
- 10:56Speaker 2: survivors managed to escape from the island, almost immediately afterwards,
- 10:59Speaker 2: the whole island was carpet bombed, so completely annihilated, not
- 11:05Speaker 2: only as a way to like cover up their their involvement,
- 11:08Speaker 2: but also to destroy the bfs's if you remember from
- 11:14Speaker 2: our review from Island seven to thirty one, BFS stands
- 11:17Speaker 2: for big fucking spider all right, and it's approp It's
- 11:22Speaker 2: an appropriate name. The BFF. The bfs is were these
- 11:25Speaker 2: chimeras that look like they had the shell of a
- 11:28Speaker 2: snapping turtle. They had the eight legs of a spider
- 11:30Speaker 2: and like the like the face and mandibles like the
- 11:33Speaker 2: mandible jaws of a spider. Two and they also had
- 11:36Speaker 2: a long like spider like a long like scorpion like tail,
- 11:40Speaker 2: and instead of it like a like a curved kind
- 11:42Speaker 2: of like a comma shaped stinger that that normals uh
- 11:47Speaker 2: that normal scorpions have, they have more of like a
- 11:49Speaker 2: straight like barb and this barber is more similar to
- 11:53Speaker 2: a desert wasps stinger because desert wasps, as many of
- 11:58Speaker 2: you minch may may not know, they procreate by stinging
- 12:03Speaker 2: their victims. And when they sting their their prey, they
- 12:08Speaker 2: deposit eggs and then their larva will gest state hatch
- 12:14Speaker 2: and basically eat their eat their prey from the inside out, yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 2: before maturing and become another desert or wasp. Now, the
- 12:23Speaker 2: bfs is do that do this the exact same thing
- 12:27Speaker 2: instinctially every time they sting you, They sting you three times,
- 12:30Speaker 2: depositing and already live larva inside of you, and the
- 12:35Speaker 2: larva explosively like gestates. So when I say explosively, like
- 12:41Speaker 2: within minutes, the larva eats you from the inside and
- 12:45Speaker 2: busts out of you like full on alien like Ridley
- 12:48Speaker 2: Scott alien style. Uh, and it's already a fully matured,
- 12:53Speaker 2: big fucking spider. These things proliferated like it was. They
- 13:00Speaker 2: were a nightmare. They're proliferate. They proliferated stupidly fast, and
- 13:06Speaker 2: they within it, like within a day, they completely overran
- 13:10Speaker 2: the island, forcing God to carpet bomb the whole island.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 2: In a prologue, Yeah, whatever, right. In a prologue to
- 13:22Speaker 2: this book, as a matter of fact, we actually see
- 13:27Speaker 2: a Geo d unit. They had found a derylic ship
- 13:32Speaker 2: coasting along off the coast of the US. They board
- 13:36Speaker 2: the ship because they and it's not clear like what
- 13:39Speaker 2: exactly they were looking for, but it was obvious that, uh,
- 13:45Speaker 2: it was kind of it hinted that it was like
- 13:46Speaker 2: some kind of training mission because they had a new recruit,
- 13:49Speaker 2: like a like a new recruit on their team, and
- 13:52Speaker 2: the new recruit was kind of weird out because he
- 13:54Speaker 2: heard about this Black Ops group. But he didn't think
- 13:57Speaker 2: he would have qualified because he didn't really have those
- 13:59Speaker 2: kind of like standing scores or like anything that would
- 14:02Speaker 2: have made him stand out. But he was appre but
- 14:04Speaker 2: he appreciated the opportunity to work with this special opera,
- 14:07Speaker 2: like with thesepecops. And but the thing is is that
- 14:10Speaker 2: as soon as they as soon as they board the
- 14:12Speaker 2: ship and they go deeper into the hole, into the hold,
- 14:15Speaker 2: they come across a bunch of these strange, spiky looking
- 14:19Speaker 2: gords and they begin to stir and one jumps at him.
- 14:22Speaker 2: One gets up and jumps at him. He he before
- 14:26Speaker 2: he can react, he feels three jabs in his chest
- 14:29Speaker 2: and then like almost immediately, the other the other uh,
- 14:34Speaker 2: the other agents in this UH, in this black in
- 14:37Speaker 2: this mission quick immediately grab him, sedate him, and they
- 14:41Speaker 2: and they wrap him in a special type of like uh,
- 14:45Speaker 2: they wrap him in this special type of like goze
- 14:47Speaker 2: or nylon that immediately begins to like freeze him and
- 14:51Speaker 2: like a chemical on it that starts to freeze him.
- 14:54Speaker 2: And so essentially what had happened was is that good
- 14:58Speaker 2: sense this this task force to find that ship and
- 15:03Speaker 2: to collect samples of the live bfs's that were on
- 15:07Speaker 2: the that had managed to survive and had stowed away
- 15:13Speaker 2: on this vessel, and because of this they got a
- 15:19Speaker 2: live sample. But they used a They used just some
- 15:23Speaker 2: random dude that they pulled out of the military of
- 15:25Speaker 2: the US military, sacrificing his life, and they sedated him,
- 15:30Speaker 2: preserved him, and carried him back to their testing facilities.
- 15:34Speaker 2: They destroyed the ship to make sure there was no
- 15:35Speaker 2: other bfs is out there, but like there's still live
- 15:39Speaker 2: bfs is under God's control. Now going back to the FCP.
- 15:49Speaker 2: The FCP, Hudson is now trying to like he's trying
- 15:55Speaker 2: to help, he's trying to raise Migo. She's a teenager
- 15:58Speaker 2: now and help her navigate, like help her navigate life.
- 16:02Speaker 2: She can't really return to a normal life because you know,
- 16:06Speaker 2: aside from being aside from now being separated from Nemesis,
- 16:12Speaker 2: Migo has her own abilities. She still shares like she
- 16:16Speaker 2: still shares a strange connection to Nemesis, and she while
- 16:22Speaker 2: she on the outside, she remains she's she's often like
- 16:25Speaker 2: her first impression of her is like she's very quiet,
- 16:27Speaker 2: and she doesn't really like she's she's quiet and she
- 16:30Speaker 2: doesn't really like interact with many people. On the inside.
- 16:36Speaker 2: She is like constantly battling extreme aggression, like she's able
- 16:41Speaker 2: to control it, but like she always like she she
- 16:45Speaker 2: describes it as she's always angry, like she can feel
- 16:48Speaker 2: like this aggression inside of her and just just as
- 16:51Speaker 2: rage and she has to really hold herself back from
- 16:53Speaker 2: like lashing out. And also on top of that, Migo
- 16:59Speaker 2: has ridiculu he Li has a ridiculous amount of strength,
- 17:04Speaker 2: like so much so that later on in the book,
- 17:07Speaker 2: she Uh like her home gets raided by good and
- 17:12Speaker 2: when they attack, she actually like kills these guys like
- 17:17Speaker 2: she was she went out for a walk and when
- 17:19Speaker 2: they attacked her, when they attacked her home, like she
- 17:22Speaker 2: comes back and she sneaks up on them and she
- 17:24Speaker 2: starts like brutally like throwing them around, like she she
- 17:28Speaker 2: tosses one guy in the air and like no one
- 17:31Speaker 2: else noticed that he would had been tossed until he
- 17:33Speaker 2: came until he came back down and landed on the roof.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And yeah, there was like whole fight. And now they
- 17:43Speaker 2: know that, Like now they they're more aware of g O. D.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Mark Uh, Like Mark Hudson himself was excuse me, Mark
- 17:51Speaker 2: Hawkins Hudson, there's too many people in this in this
- 17:56Speaker 2: series with h in their name, Hudson Hawkins all right,
- 18:00Speaker 2: Hawkins remembers Good from his time on Unit seven on
- 18:05Speaker 2: on Island seven thirty one, knows that they're that they're
- 18:08Speaker 2: up to something. So the team ends up investigating the
- 18:12Speaker 2: matter further and they learned that they figure out that,
- 18:16Speaker 2: uh that Good operates within the special kind of like
- 18:21Speaker 2: within a special type of black budget. So like this
- 18:26Speaker 2: is I'm not sure if this is like really based
- 18:28Speaker 2: off of real like something that really happened, but a
- 18:31Speaker 2: lot of the like books, a lot of the like
- 18:33Speaker 2: references that Jeremy Robinson writes in his books are often
- 18:36Speaker 2: based off of real life scenarios, things that actually did
- 18:41Speaker 2: happen in life, right, like there was there really was
- 18:44Speaker 2: a Unit seven thirty one Japanese Unit seven thirty one,
- 18:49Speaker 2: like in in other cases, like in the wake of
- 18:54Speaker 2: like in the wake of the nine eleven terrorist attacks,
- 18:58Speaker 2: there was a lot of reform in the like in
- 19:01Speaker 2: national security, and the DHS had like basically gotten a
- 19:05Speaker 2: completely new type of budget, and there was something supposedly
- 19:08Speaker 2: called a black budget, where basically it's a huge fund
- 19:12Speaker 2: for like different types of like DHS like different types
- 19:16Speaker 2: of DHS projects and security measures, right, and also other
- 19:21Speaker 2: forms of like operations, And essentially this is like one
- 19:25Speaker 2: big blank check where if you had, if you like,
- 19:29Speaker 2: if there was like a specific need that for like
- 19:31Speaker 2: national defense or something like that, just put it on
- 19:34Speaker 2: the check and like no questions will be asked, right
- 19:37Speaker 2: at least that's like the vibe I got from well,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I got when they were describing this, when Robinson wrote
- 19:43Speaker 2: about it in these books. So good is like one
- 19:46Speaker 2: of these types of operations, like they're off the books,
- 19:49Speaker 2: but they're still that they're funding primarily comes from that
- 19:52Speaker 2: black budget, the Pentagon's black budget. Not sure this is
- 19:55Speaker 2: a real thing. Don't come for me, all right, this
- 19:58Speaker 2: is just this. I just want to just want this out.
- 20:00Speaker 2: This is like all fiction, all right. I don't need
- 20:04Speaker 2: the FEDS knocking down my door. Why are you giving up?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Why are you giving up national secrets? I don't don't
- 20:09Speaker 2: come for me, bitch, Go for Jeremy Robinson. He wrote
- 20:11Speaker 2: about this ship. All right. I'm pretty sure I'm explaining
- 20:16Speaker 2: it wrong and badly. But this is like what I remember.
- 20:19Speaker 2: This is what I know and what I remember of
- 20:21Speaker 2: the book. But after investigating the Geod. Further, they learned
- 20:27Speaker 2: that there is a facility that that could be traced
- 20:31Speaker 2: back to God. So this is the facility was on
- 20:34Speaker 2: the west coast. So they so what they do is
- 20:37Speaker 2: they follow the So they follow the breadcrumbs and they
- 20:40Speaker 2: find the facility and they find some very interesting things there.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Primarily they find that, uh, they find the corpse of
- 20:50Speaker 2: the of Nemesis Prime is being held there in this facility.
- 20:55Speaker 2: It's like all desk, kid old and shit, and then
- 20:58Speaker 2: and then and then and then there is also Nemesis
- 21:03Speaker 2: herself nod. Yeah, so Gud had somehow managed to find
- 21:08Speaker 2: where Nemesis had. They found where Nemesis had crawled into
- 21:13Speaker 2: the ocean, and they managed to date her and secure
- 21:16Speaker 2: her for transport, for transport back to their security to
- 21:20Speaker 2: one of their secured facilities. And so basically she was
- 21:24Speaker 2: literally right next she was. They literally had her right
- 21:26Speaker 2: next to Nemesis Prime. And they go deeper into the
- 21:31Speaker 2: facility and they find they find all kinds of test subjects,
- 21:36Speaker 2: like like horrific types of test subjects. They find more
- 21:39Speaker 2: evidence of chimera test subjects. They find a gorilla with
- 21:42Speaker 2: its like head cut open to reveal its brain, and
- 21:45Speaker 2: it hints that the gorilla has like been given like
- 21:48Speaker 2: near human levels of intelligence. And oh, they also find
- 21:52Speaker 2: the containment facility with the bfs's.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Oh my, oh dear, yep.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yep, and let me see. While they were exploring the facility,
- 22:05Speaker 2: they actually learned a little bit more. They finally learn
- 22:07Speaker 2: a little bit more about Nemesis' origins, like, of course Nemesis,
- 22:14Speaker 2: like Nemesis Prime especially is a uh is an alien,
- 22:23Speaker 2: but we don't know exactly what like was Nemesis like
- 22:26Speaker 2: did she come here on her own? Like was she
- 22:27Speaker 2: intelligent or was she like a weapon? But we well,
- 22:31Speaker 2: now we know they found they find evidence that the
- 22:34Speaker 2: original Nemesis Prime was a weapon sent to Earth by
- 22:38Speaker 2: an alien race. We learn more and more about Nemesis's origins,
- 22:45Speaker 2: and this book is actually like going to be the
- 22:46Speaker 2: first book that they start referencing another one of Jeremy
- 22:50Speaker 2: Robinson's books called Raising the Past. Raising the Past is
- 22:54Speaker 2: about is about two alien races that have been warring
- 22:59Speaker 2: with each other for millions of years, right untold millennia,
- 23:04Speaker 2: so long in fact that both races, these two distinct
- 23:08Speaker 2: alien races, actually were one point the same species. But
- 23:14Speaker 2: at one point, like there was two separate philosophical groups.
- 23:19Speaker 2: One belief that because of their because of their technological superiority,
- 23:24Speaker 2: they should be the ones in control and that that
- 23:27Speaker 2: there is no such thing as free will, but only
- 23:29Speaker 2: their will right. And then there was another group that
- 23:33Speaker 2: believed in the concept of free will, that every that
- 23:36Speaker 2: every race, regardless of their like technological advancement or evolutionary advancement,
- 23:44Speaker 2: every race has their has the right to free will,
- 23:47Speaker 2: right right to choose, and that they as an advanced civilization,
- 23:51Speaker 2: did not have the right to impose their beliefs on others.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So this caused like a chism between their a schism
- 23:57Speaker 2: between their two their two actions, they began warn it
- 24:02Speaker 2: turned into a one long civil war that because these
- 24:05Speaker 2: two graces were like interstellarly linked, like they were an
- 24:11Speaker 2: interstellar race, like because of how widespread they were in
- 24:14Speaker 2: the universe, wars like that never ends and it's almost
- 24:18Speaker 2: and it basically means it's impossible for their almost impossible
- 24:22Speaker 2: for the race to become totally extinct, because even if
- 24:25Speaker 2: one part of them gets wiped out on one planet,
- 24:28Speaker 2: there's still dozens of other worlds where they're still found.
- 24:30Speaker 2: On Yeah, right, So because of their because of the
- 24:35Speaker 2: split and their factions, the war went on for so
- 24:38Speaker 2: long that their races began to evolve differently. Right, Like,
- 24:43Speaker 2: I'm not going to give too much spoilers, but i
- 24:45Speaker 2: will tell you, like what the races are called the
- 24:48Speaker 2: so one race, the ones that actually created Nemesis and
- 24:52Speaker 2: used Nemesis other creatures like Nemesis as like a form
- 24:55Speaker 2: of kaiju warfare. They are called the Eros and the
- 24:59Speaker 2: e Heros are The thing about the Eros is that
- 25:05Speaker 2: they are like basically these fifty foot tall cthulhu like
- 25:11Speaker 2: looking motherfuckers. Oh yeah, so they're you know, fifty feet
- 25:17Speaker 2: tall humanoid, but in their face, like they have not
- 25:21Speaker 2: like like octopus tentacles, but more something similar to like
- 25:26Speaker 2: starfish arms. So like they have like four or five
- 25:30Speaker 2: like flat like paddle looking like uh, tentacles or or
- 25:36Speaker 2: like starfish arms like black eyes. Right, They're fiercely intelligent,
- 25:42Speaker 2: but they also believe that they should rule everything, right,
- 25:46Speaker 2: that all races are lesser than them, and that they
- 25:48Speaker 2: should they should control everything. And then there's the other
- 25:52Speaker 2: race that they've been at war with for millions of years, which,
- 25:55Speaker 2: as I said, were what they were both one and
- 25:57Speaker 2: the same at one point. This other race is called
- 26:00Speaker 2: the Ferrocks. The Farahs believe that we all have right
- 26:04Speaker 2: to choose right and the way their species had evolved
- 26:09Speaker 2: is they when they're true forms, they look like these
- 26:12Speaker 2: like I don't want to say like they're quadrupedal. They
- 26:15Speaker 2: almost look like these like cross between a hyena and
- 26:19Speaker 2: like a sabertoothed tiger, but alien looking. I mean, I
- 26:23Speaker 2: guess like the closest comparison to what they look like
- 26:27Speaker 2: is uh that monster that held that that demon monster
- 26:32Speaker 2: that hell Boy fought in the original Germal del Toro
- 26:35Speaker 2: hell Boy movie. Yeah, Samiel, Yeah, that's like the closest
- 26:40Speaker 2: designed look too. That's like the closest I would say.
- 26:42Speaker 2: You can look him. You can look the ferros up
- 26:44Speaker 2: because there's artwork by by Matt Frank online that you
- 26:48Speaker 2: can find. He did the artwork for them. And think
- 26:51Speaker 2: about the ferrous is that they're more closer in size
- 26:54Speaker 2: to humans, but they are maybe a little bit bigger,
- 26:59Speaker 2: but they're also shaped, so in their true form, that's
- 27:03Speaker 2: what they look like, but they can actually shape shift
- 27:05Speaker 2: to look like anybody, so you wouldn't So they're they've
- 27:09Speaker 2: I guess like they evolved to become shape shifters to
- 27:12Speaker 2: better hide from the Ero from the Eros, but eventually
- 27:16Speaker 2: their war comes to Earth, and they're trying to keep
- 27:20Speaker 2: the aliens like the Eros from noticing Earth. Right Unfortunately,
- 27:25Speaker 2: the Eros have taken notice of Earth. They've they've known
- 27:27Speaker 2: about Earth for a long long time because they sent
- 27:30Speaker 2: Nemesis here like thousands of years ago. But but they
- 27:35Speaker 2: pretty much all they all but forgot about Earth because like,
- 27:40Speaker 2: there are other factors that that I will actually explain later,
- 27:45Speaker 2: but uh, that's not gonna I'm not gonna explain those
- 27:48Speaker 2: until we get to the next book, which is a
- 27:50Speaker 2: Project Hyperion. That's when we get more into the interplanetary conflict.
- 27:55Speaker 2: But it's in this book near the end of the
- 27:57Speaker 2: book that's when we learn more about the Ferox and
- 27:59Speaker 2: the Eras, and we also learned that the Ferrocs have
- 28:02Speaker 2: a hand behind Good and the and these experiments. So
- 28:09Speaker 2: we learn more we all we learn more about that
- 28:11Speaker 2: as the book progresses. But the FCP team infiltrate the
- 28:16Speaker 2: Good Facility where they find both nemesises and they find
- 28:20Speaker 2: the other chimera experiments. They also find the bfs is
- 28:25Speaker 2: and being contained there. But during but when they are
- 28:29Speaker 2: confronted by the local security, uh, the containment fails and
- 28:35Speaker 2: a lot of the experiments end up getting out, including
- 28:38Speaker 2: the bfs's, and the bfs is end up scuttling away
- 28:42Speaker 2: and most of them, like there was only three of
- 28:46Speaker 2: them and they and two of them gets killed. But
- 28:49Speaker 2: one of them scurries away and makes its way into
- 28:53Speaker 2: the warehouse where Nemesis. Both Nemesis' bodies are being kept,
- 28:57Speaker 2: and because one is a corpse, it ignores that one.
- 29:00Speaker 2: But the other one, who's still alive, Uh, it ends
- 29:04Speaker 2: up it ends up jumping on it, and it ends
- 29:07Speaker 2: up jumping on Nemesis and stings her three times.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Oh no, and because of that three new oh no, yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Because of that, like, the team ends up catching up
- 29:21Speaker 2: to it. They find the one BFS and they kill it,
- 29:23Speaker 2: but not before three more ends up bursting out of
- 29:26Speaker 2: nemesis body. And these ones have been mutated, so they're
- 29:31Speaker 2: no longer bfs is. Now bfs is are about the
- 29:36Speaker 2: size of a small dog, right, uh huh, Well, these
- 29:42Speaker 2: new ones are about the size of a bus, and
- 29:46Speaker 2: they're growing bus. So the new bfs is are called SUCHI,
- 29:54Speaker 2: which is like based off of a like a Japanese
- 29:56Speaker 2: yokai like of course, and Uh, the Suci ended up
- 30:02Speaker 2: going on a rampage they think is though when the
- 30:05Speaker 2: suit she ends up chewing their way out of nemesis body.
- 30:08Speaker 2: This actually wakes up Nemesis. And here's the thing about
- 30:11Speaker 2: Nemesis is that because she's purged uh the human DNA
- 30:16Speaker 2: from her body, she's no longer being influenced by IGO's
- 30:21Speaker 2: memories or emotions. So Nemesis now more similar to the
- 30:25Speaker 2: original Nemesis, like sadistic, more weapon like, more like built
- 30:30Speaker 2: for destruction, built for destruction. So Nemesis ends up tearing
- 30:33Speaker 2: her way out of the Uh it ends up tearing
- 30:36Speaker 2: her way out of the warehouse, goes on a rampage.
- 30:40Speaker 2: The Succi and actually attack her again and sting her
- 30:43Speaker 2: a couple more times. They but when the new Succi
- 30:47Speaker 2: comes like crawling their way out of her body, she
- 30:50Speaker 2: ends up killing them because like the like, this piss
- 30:52Speaker 2: her off a lot. Nemesis ends up killing all but
- 30:57Speaker 2: one of the Sushi, and that sushi ends up running away.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Ends up running away, but it also goes on a
- 31:04Speaker 2: bit of a feeding frenzy because since it's taken in
- 31:07Speaker 2: some of Nemesis' DNA. It's it's now that it's Nemesis
- 31:13Speaker 2: DNA is caught is forcing it to grow, grow, grow, grow,
- 31:16Speaker 2: grow right, And actually, how many of the Succi were there?
- 31:20Speaker 2: Let me see here, Nemesis they come Sushi say, listening
- 31:37Speaker 2: their prey with electricity by cool. Later they meet to
- 31:40Speaker 2: further to standing up right and growing claws. I think
- 31:44Speaker 2: there was more. I think more than one of them
- 31:46Speaker 2: ends up growing up to like like Nemesis size. Okay,
- 31:51Speaker 2: I think it was just one. You don't cut that out, yep, yeah, Succi.
- 31:59Speaker 2: And and there's the Megasucci. Okay. Yeah. So there were
- 32:05Speaker 2: several sus sheet like Sucies that survive, but Nemesis ends
- 32:09Speaker 2: up killing most of them except all except for one,
- 32:12Speaker 2: like one manages to survive. And the thing is that
- 32:16Speaker 2: something begins drawing the Succi further inland to Nevada, to
- 32:21Speaker 2: a specific place in Nevada.
- 32:23Speaker 1: No, I know, I know, you, Lione, Lion. No, they
- 32:28Speaker 1: go to the area. They go to Area fifty one.
- 32:30Speaker 2: They go to Area fifty one.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Of course they fucking do like Area fifty one is.
- 32:35Speaker 2: It's they go the Succi for some reason are drawn
- 32:38Speaker 2: to Area fifty one. One of the one yeah, the
- 32:42Speaker 2: one succi that is that men ends up growing to
- 32:47Speaker 2: full like Nemesis heights becomes a megasucci and uh it
- 32:53Speaker 2: like because it's still alive. It ends up drawing Nemesis
- 32:56Speaker 2: to Area fifty one and they've and they fight it
- 32:59Speaker 2: out and then does kill it. It does sting her
- 33:03Speaker 2: a couple more times, but every time a new suit
- 33:05Speaker 2: she comes like bursting out of her, she just kills it.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Hudson and his team like follow her, follow the path
- 33:14Speaker 2: and they realize, like, okay, Area fifty one, they go
- 33:17Speaker 2: there too, and that's where the Head of God meets them.
- 33:21Speaker 2: And the Head of God shows them a few things.
- 33:25Speaker 2: He shows them like while they're in the earth, while
- 33:29Speaker 2: they're inside Area fifty one, he shows them that there
- 33:32Speaker 2: is that they have preserved corpses of like so like
- 33:37Speaker 2: oh hey, yeah, Area fifty one, they do have alien
- 33:39Speaker 2: bodies there. One is the severed head of an Eros,
- 33:44Speaker 2: which is this like a massive head with the tentacle
- 33:47Speaker 2: like the starfish arms coming out of its face. The
- 33:52Speaker 2: other one is the body of a ferax. Sorry for
- 33:56Speaker 2: a small moment I thought I was giving away it
- 33:58Speaker 2: like details for the next book. But no, this all
- 34:01Speaker 2: happens here, gotcha. See they're go into the tank, right yep.
- 34:09Speaker 2: So it's all on this step, all on this one.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So so Leader of God ends up showing his name
- 34:17Speaker 2: is guy named Cole. He ends up showing them tanks
- 34:21Speaker 2: filled with corpses of dead aliens. Of course, one is
- 34:25Speaker 2: with the head of Eros, the other one is the
- 34:27Speaker 2: body of a Ferrux, and then surprisingly there is a
- 34:30Speaker 2: there's a third one with a what looks like a
- 34:34Speaker 2: very looks like a human, a very pale, blonde human man.
- 34:38Speaker 2: But it's obviously not a human because the man himself
- 34:43Speaker 2: is like very tall, like almost ten feet tall, like
- 34:48Speaker 2: we're talking like biblical giant tall. And this is all
- 34:56Speaker 2: very confusing, and this is to them because like, why
- 34:58Speaker 2: are these aliens here? Like like these are the aliens
- 35:01Speaker 2: that they've been hiding. Yeah, Cole appoints them more about
- 35:05Speaker 2: the uh. This is where Cole like reveals more about
- 35:10Speaker 2: the conflict between the Pharroks and the Eros and some
- 35:13Speaker 2: of the and also reveals some of the events that
- 35:15Speaker 2: had happened in Raising the Past, because Raising the Past
- 35:19Speaker 2: actually did end up happening in this universe, but it
- 35:24Speaker 2: was something completely separate. It was something completely separate, And
- 35:29Speaker 2: they don't really reference the main characters from that series
- 35:32Speaker 2: because because I don't know exactly what happened to them.
- 35:35Speaker 2: But the corpses of these of these aliens, they were
- 35:39Speaker 2: actually all found in the Actually I don't know where
- 35:43Speaker 2: they got the humanoid one from, but the body of
- 35:49Speaker 2: the Ferauhs and the body of and the head of
- 35:50Speaker 2: the Euros, those are from Raising. Those two came from
- 35:53Speaker 2: Raising the past. So like they there were there were
- 35:57Speaker 2: the two aliens that there were two of the aliens
- 35:59Speaker 2: that end up dying and in the past. Now he
- 36:03Speaker 2: does explain Cole does explain that this that the humanoid
- 36:08Speaker 2: alien is actually an Atlantean and that's ten thousand years
- 36:13Speaker 2: ago Atlantis was real. But the thing is is that
- 36:17Speaker 2: they were not human. They were an alien race that
- 36:20Speaker 2: were similar to humans, right that and also they they
- 36:25Speaker 2: list He cites them as the reason for why humans
- 36:29Speaker 2: have certain traits because because at one point after Atlantis fell,
- 36:33Speaker 2: they ended up interbreeding with humans. So that's why you
- 36:36Speaker 2: got you know, big tall Scandinavian people, you know, with
- 36:40Speaker 2: blonde hair, blue eyes. That's like where he cites like
- 36:44Speaker 2: the that's where like the where Robinson cites at least
- 36:47Speaker 2: for the story wise where like you know, the where
- 36:51Speaker 2: the Aryan race comes from?
- 36:53Speaker 1: What the fuck? Yeah, that's that's weird, kind of interesting.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Like there's a bunch of reveals. So like this is
- 37:01Speaker 2: where like a bunch of his other books are beginning
- 37:03Speaker 2: to tie in, Like of course Islands have thirty one
- 37:05Speaker 2: tied in a lot in the first three books, but
- 37:08Speaker 2: like Raising the Past starts tying in in this one.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Also Second World starts tying into this one because there's
- 37:16Speaker 2: a symbol that they see in the book. It's actually
- 37:18Speaker 2: this symbol.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Okay, there's a stiff with a circle, a large circle
- 37:23Speaker 1: over a circle on top of it, like three layers of.
- 37:26Speaker 2: It's like three concentric circles with a with a line
- 37:30Speaker 2: going down to like through them from the central circle. Yeah. Now,
- 37:35Speaker 2: this symbol is cited as being like the symbol of Atlantis,
- 37:38Speaker 2: and in fact this is supposed to be how they
- 37:40Speaker 2: exact layout of Atlantis was supposed to look like. So
- 37:44Speaker 2: uh and and Cole explains that Atlantis was actually an
- 37:50Speaker 2: outpost for an alliance between the Ferox and the Alien
- 37:53Speaker 2: race that were not that we would know as the Atlanteans.
- 37:56Speaker 2: But the Earros found out about the about the output
- 38:00Speaker 2: and sent Nemesis to destroy it, and Nemesis did destroy
- 38:04Speaker 2: it before being killed by the by Atlantic's defenses. The
- 38:08Speaker 2: thing is that the city was so was so like
- 38:11Speaker 2: thoroughly destroyed that it didn't survive, and that will actually
- 38:18Speaker 2: tie into Project Hyperion later. We'll actually see a little
- 38:21Speaker 2: bit more about that about that conflict and Project Hyperion
- 38:26Speaker 2: but later, but we will go into that later. Le
- 38:31Speaker 2: Cole explains more about like why they why Good does
- 38:36Speaker 2: this because they're trying to prepare humanity for the coming
- 38:41Speaker 2: conflict with the Eros, because the Eros and h in
- 38:44Speaker 2: the in raising the past Uh, part of like the
- 38:47Speaker 2: main plot was trying to stop sympathizers with the Eros
- 38:51Speaker 2: from signaling the Ear like the Eros that Earth is
- 38:57Speaker 2: being influenced by the Pharaohs. The Eros found out about that,
- 39:00Speaker 2: they're going to come here and destroy humanity because humanity,
- 39:04Speaker 2: they would have considered humanity to be tainted and like
- 39:08Speaker 2: not compatible for Eros takeover, Like the Eros would have
- 39:11Speaker 2: just taken us over and just controlled us. But because
- 39:14Speaker 2: we have the belief of free will and all that shit, right,
- 39:19Speaker 2: we believe in the concept of free will. They deem
- 39:22Speaker 2: that as like okay, well that means we're just beyond
- 39:25Speaker 2: like their intervention. Yeah, so they managed to send they
- 39:31Speaker 2: managed to actually signal the Eros, so the Eros will
- 39:35Speaker 2: eventually return to Earth. So that's why Cole and his
- 39:39Speaker 2: people are trying to They are trying, they are preparing
- 39:44Speaker 2: the world, they are doing all these horrendous experiments. In fact,
- 39:48Speaker 2: it's hinted that Coal that Cole had a had a
- 39:53Speaker 2: hand in the revival of Nemesis, like the program, that
- 39:59Speaker 2: the experiment and everything that started with creating the Nemesis,
- 40:02Speaker 2: like the Nemesis program. Believe that he had a hand
- 40:06Speaker 2: in it, possibly as a way to like try to
- 40:08Speaker 2: utilize Nemesis against the Eros when they when they eventually
- 40:12Speaker 2: returned and got there. This is like this is where
- 40:17Speaker 2: like I fully fell into the round hole that is
- 40:19Speaker 2: Project Nemesis, because like when I realized, like, oh god,
- 40:24Speaker 2: there's more to the story, Like wait a second, what's what?
- 40:27Speaker 2: What's what the whole like aryan race thing here, Like wait,
- 40:29Speaker 2: there's another book about that? What? And then like also
- 40:33Speaker 2: like on seven thirty one, raising the Past, like Ero's
- 40:35Speaker 2: like wait, there's a book there's a book just about that.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, give me, give me, I need to
- 40:44Speaker 2: read all these I fell into a deep route hole
- 40:46Speaker 2: and I read all these books. And it was because
- 40:48Speaker 2: of Project Set of thirty one that's where I stopped here.
- 40:51Speaker 2: And I was like, because when I started reading these books,
- 40:53Speaker 2: the like they weren't all published just yet, you know,
- 40:57Speaker 2: projects the Project seven thirty one came out, Project Appearan
- 41:01Speaker 2: and Project Legion had hadn't been published just yet, and
- 41:04Speaker 2: I was like, these are all there's all these books,
- 41:06Speaker 2: I need to read them.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Me come here, yeah, give me, give me all of them.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Give me all like so I ended up reading them.
- 41:16Speaker 2: So this is where I learned that Second World uh.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Second So the book Second World explains the origins of
- 41:23Speaker 2: of Atlantis and like also like they're tie ins with
- 41:27Speaker 2: the Nazis uh and then uh, you know, Raising the
- 41:33Speaker 2: Past is about the Eros and the Farax. And I
- 41:35Speaker 2: also went back and read Seventh Island seven thirty one.
- 41:39Speaker 2: It wasn't until like after I read project like Project
- 41:46Speaker 2: Hyperion that I learned that there were several other books
- 41:48Speaker 2: that are going to be tying in and so I
- 41:51Speaker 2: read those other books, like Mirror World and I read,
- 41:54Speaker 2: and then after Project Legion, I read like Uprising, and
- 41:59Speaker 2: then there was the Jack Siegler Saga and the Antarctos
- 42:04Speaker 2: Rising series, So like there's a book called Antarctos Rising,
- 42:07Speaker 2: and then there's the Antarctos Saga, which is the spin
- 42:10Speaker 2: off of Antiarctos Rising. So I read all that got
- 42:14Speaker 2: to know these characters that will eventually tie in in
- 42:18Speaker 2: Project Legion, but I focused mainly on these like from
- 42:24Speaker 2: Project seven thirty one. I focused mainly on Second World
- 42:28Speaker 2: Island seven thirty one and Raising the Past, and that's
- 42:31Speaker 2: when I learned all about these different characters that are
- 42:34Speaker 2: going to tie in and the different stories that tie
- 42:36Speaker 2: into the project, to the nets of saga. And then
- 42:38Speaker 2: came back when Hyperion came out, read it, went out,
- 42:41Speaker 2: went out, read all these other books came back, went
- 42:44Speaker 2: and Project Legion was out, and I read. I read that,
- 42:48Speaker 2: so just a lot. There was just a lot of
- 42:52Speaker 2: information that went into it. So I was like, like
- 42:57Speaker 2: I felt like that dude from Always Sunny and philipdel
- 43:00Speaker 2: I feel like that right now when I'm explaining it,
- 43:01Speaker 2: because like just have this board of like this vision
- 43:04Speaker 2: board right over here and I'm just.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Like connected, finding all the connections in the all the dots,
- 43:08Speaker 1: connecting all.
- 43:09Speaker 2: The dots, connecting all the dots all it feels like
- 43:12Speaker 2: when honestly, reading these books makes made me feel like
- 43:15Speaker 2: a conspiracy theorist because some of these were also based
- 43:18Speaker 2: off of conspiracy theories, right like Second World was based
- 43:22Speaker 2: around like the idea that the Nazis didn't really get
- 43:25Speaker 2: dismantled but absorbed, and like they still exist within like
- 43:29Speaker 2: our within our government and within different world entities. And
- 43:33Speaker 2: then also like different Nazi super weapons, the conspiracies about
- 43:36Speaker 2: different Nazi super weapons, like Divelock, which was supposed to
- 43:40Speaker 2: be like this Divelock was also known as the Bell,
- 43:43Speaker 2: which was like this bell shaped weapon, and the concept
- 43:46Speaker 2: behind it was supposed to be like a study of
- 43:47Speaker 2: anti gravity of like anti gravity propulsion and all that.
- 43:51Speaker 2: But it was also like theorized to be like a
- 43:53Speaker 2: like a super weapon of some kind, but we don't
- 43:56Speaker 2: know much about it. It was just like one of
- 43:58Speaker 2: those like many different like outlandish experiments that the Nazis performed.
- 44:04Speaker 2: And going back to probably like circling back to Project
- 44:09Speaker 2: seven thirty one, they get this big reveal the SCP
- 44:13Speaker 2: team ends up getting ends up escaping from Area fifty one,
- 44:18Speaker 2: and they actually commandeer a experimental aircraft called the X
- 44:24Speaker 2: thirty five. The X thirty five is a is a
- 44:28Speaker 2: hypersonic jet that has excuse the X thirty five, I'm sorry, yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 2: X thirty five. Basically it's designed to replace both fighter
- 44:38Speaker 2: jets and helicopters because it has repulsion of repulsor technology,
- 44:43Speaker 2: so it uses a special form of repulsion to basically
- 44:49Speaker 2: it's like doesn't really explain the signs behind it, but
- 44:52Speaker 2: it can hover in place. It can move faster than
- 44:54Speaker 2: the speed of sound. It could even escape. It even
- 44:56Speaker 2: has enough speed to like reach escape Velot City so
- 45:00Speaker 2: it can go into orbit.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and also it has experimental stealth technology, but it's
- 45:06Speaker 3: not really like like that kind of like stealth technology
- 45:10Speaker 3: you would expect where like when turning itself, like it
- 45:12Speaker 3: like it turns itself invisible, but it's not like you know,
- 45:15Speaker 3: using like like ouber cool like metascience or like quantum
- 45:19Speaker 3: physics to like bend light around itself.
- 45:21Speaker 2: No, it's just like projecting an image around itself. So
- 45:24Speaker 2: like it takes one side of like has cameras on
- 45:27Speaker 2: one side and projectors on the other side, so like
- 45:30Speaker 2: basically the projectors project what the camera see on the
- 45:32Speaker 2: other side. So it's like that kind of technology. It's
- 45:35Speaker 2: still super effective. You can you won't even realize it's there,
- 45:38Speaker 2: super quiet. They've managed to commandeer it, and they learned that, oh,
- 45:41Speaker 2: this thing is actually stupidly easy to fly because all
- 45:43Speaker 2: you have to do is just it flies itself. You
- 45:46Speaker 2: just got to punch in like coordinates and like directions
- 45:48Speaker 2: and how you want it to fly, and it'll just
- 45:50Speaker 2: fly itself. Yeah, So they comment dear that for themselves
- 45:55Speaker 2: and and this and the X thirty five ends up
- 45:57Speaker 2: being super like, uh like super useful in later books
- 46:01Speaker 2: because that's that becomes like their primary like mode of transport.
- 46:07Speaker 2: The the SEP team actually like had like keeps it
- 46:10Speaker 2: hovering over there, over the over their base of operations,
- 46:17Speaker 2: which is just a colonial house in Boston, so it's like, okay, cool,
- 46:23Speaker 2: you can literally park this thing anywhere, yeah, because it
- 46:26Speaker 2: just hovers. So they commentdeer it and they managed to
- 46:29Speaker 2: get out of the way by the time the Megasucci
- 46:33Speaker 2: arrives and begins digging deep into the like I don't
- 46:38Speaker 2: know exactly why it was why it was attacking Circle. Okay,
- 46:43Speaker 2: I'm done. It wasn't actually going to area fifty one.
- 46:46Speaker 2: They tracked there. They tracked Good to area fifty one.
- 46:54Speaker 2: But it was actually when it escaped. It was making
- 46:58Speaker 2: When this Megasucci escaped Nemesis, it began making its way
- 47:02Speaker 2: east and so like it crossed the it crossed through
- 47:06Speaker 2: Nevada and was making one and it eventually ends up
- 47:09Speaker 2: hitting going to a Salt Lake City. So I didn't
- 47:15Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I got like confused there for a second.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Devint cut those parts down. So anyway, so the Mega
- 47:25Speaker 2: Succi like while they were so while the team was
- 47:28Speaker 2: like dealing with Good in Area fifty one, the Mega
- 47:32Speaker 2: Succi made its way east and eventually ends up attacking
- 47:36Speaker 2: Salt Lake City. Nemesis, being Nemesis, chases the damn Thing
- 47:41Speaker 2: down and the two of them began fighting. No surprise,
- 47:45Speaker 2: Nemesis wins, but not before like the Megasucci ends up
- 47:48Speaker 2: buying a good chunk out of Nemesis, taking a good
- 47:50Speaker 2: chunk out of Nemesis, but they end up it does
- 47:55Speaker 2: end up being defeated by Nemesis. There's a there's a
- 47:59Speaker 2: point where Nemesis is almost defeated by the Megasucci because
- 48:03Speaker 2: the Megasucci had its own like self defense that it
- 48:06Speaker 2: developed from mutating through Nemesis DNA. And one of those
- 48:11Speaker 2: is like it had like a stunning bite, so if
- 48:12Speaker 2: it bit you, it it could release like an electrical shot,
- 48:15Speaker 2: like an electrical shot. And because it kept every time
- 48:19Speaker 2: I would stay Nemesis, it would like release and larva.
- 48:23Speaker 2: But like when when Nemesis like kills the larva, Nemesis
- 48:27Speaker 2: got smart and actually bit off the tip of its
- 48:29Speaker 2: tail so she could so now the Megasucci couldn't sting her.
- 48:33Speaker 2: But it was a tough fight and at one point
- 48:35Speaker 2: Nemesis did get down. Now here's the thing. As part
- 48:40Speaker 2: of like escaping area fifty one and learn and learned
- 48:44Speaker 2: and learning all about like Good's activities and the origins
- 48:47Speaker 2: of Nemesis, they they actually encounter another man, a former adversary,
- 48:54Speaker 2: a guy named katsu Endo Endo was had a big
- 48:58Speaker 2: had a big role in both UH Project Nemesis and
- 49:01Speaker 2: Project Mago because he was like the He was like
- 49:05Speaker 2: one of the He was the main henchmen of UH.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Of General Gordon guy who got the heart transplant from
- 49:12Speaker 2: the Nemesis clone and ends up turning into a monster himself.
- 49:17Speaker 2: So the thing is the reason, like we learned a
- 49:18Speaker 2: little bit more about Endo's motivations because he's just turns
- 49:21Speaker 2: out he's just an even bigger Kaiju groupie than I am.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Like the fact that he the fact that he was
- 49:28Speaker 2: there when they discovered Nemesis Primes Corpse. He wanted to
- 49:31Speaker 2: be all he wanted to be all up in that
- 49:32Speaker 2: bitch like he wanted to do every part of it.
- 49:35Speaker 2: And uh so, after Gordon was defeated in the last book,
- 49:41Speaker 2: he Endo ends up disappearing. And he also learned about
- 49:45Speaker 2: Good in his own way and manages to infiltrate Good.
- 49:49Speaker 2: And Endo was the reason why they were able to
- 49:51Speaker 2: defeat the Good Strike Team m HM, and Endo helps
- 49:57Speaker 2: him like commandeer the X twenty the X thirty and
- 50:00Speaker 2: teaches them how to fly it. But the thing is
- 50:03Speaker 2: is that they learned something interesting about Nemesis is that
- 50:07Speaker 2: they actually got up close and personal Nemesis at one point,
- 50:11Speaker 2: and Lily, who had who had gotten really close to Nemesis,
- 50:16Speaker 2: had noticed that Nemesis had a strange like like had
- 50:21Speaker 2: a strange protrusion on the back of her neck, like
- 50:25Speaker 2: when she got close to it. It it had opened
- 50:27Speaker 2: and these like strange like feelers or tentacles came out
- 50:30Speaker 2: reaching towards Lily, but she didn't get near them. And
- 50:33Speaker 2: when Lily describes it, my Goo realizes that that must
- 50:38Speaker 2: be how that must be like some like away from
- 50:41Speaker 2: Nemesis to bond to like a pilot or like some
- 50:44Speaker 2: kind of like controller, because that's how that's she She
- 50:49Speaker 2: believed that that's how like that's where she came from.
- 50:51Speaker 2: That's how Migo got like purged from Nemesis' body. So
- 50:56Speaker 2: she came up with an idea to maybe try to
- 50:59Speaker 2: retake control Nemesis by merging with her again, but Endo
- 51:05Speaker 2: ends up beating her to it and ends up managing
- 51:07Speaker 2: to get close to Nemesis and jumps into Nemesis.
- 51:11Speaker 1: Hole, not Nemesis as whole.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Yeah hole. So when Endo jumps into like jumps into
- 51:22Speaker 2: that little hit, that little protrusion, it immediately like grabs
- 51:28Speaker 2: him and sucks him inside to Nemesis's body. And the
- 51:32Speaker 2: thing about Nemesis is that when Nemesis is like when
- 51:35Speaker 2: Nemesis first appeared, her eyes had more like human still
- 51:39Speaker 2: had like a human like appearance, like they look like
- 51:42Speaker 2: big brown human like eyes. But when when Nemesis perched
- 51:47Speaker 2: my go from her body, that her eyes ended up
- 51:50Speaker 2: turning into these bright yellow orbs like flat no, like
- 51:54Speaker 2: no iris or cornea or anything like that. Right, But
- 51:58Speaker 2: then Endo jumps in and jumps into and merges with Nemesis,
- 52:03Speaker 2: and when Nemesis gets back up, her eyes are no
- 52:05Speaker 2: longer flat and yellow. They're human like again. They're brown,
- 52:10Speaker 2: They're these brown humanlike eyes. So with endos help like Endo,
- 52:16Speaker 2: it turns out it's not able to like fully control Nemesis.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Like Nemesis is still like full like in the driver's seat,
- 52:23Speaker 2: Endo's now just basically like just directing her. So instead
- 52:28Speaker 2: of being like this wild, like sadistic creature that just
- 52:31Speaker 2: attacks everything, Nemesis has more direction, is now more controlled
- 52:35Speaker 2: and directed, and with Endo's help, they're able to kill
- 52:39Speaker 2: the Succi the Megasucci and afterwards Endo just directs Nemesis
- 52:46Speaker 2: back out towards the ocean and disappears in the wave
- 52:50Speaker 2: into the waves. So after the Megasuccies is defeated, they
- 52:56Speaker 2: they learn pretty much that like their whole world is
- 53:00Speaker 2: even more at risk. There's gonna be uh, there's going
- 53:04Speaker 2: to be more monsters in the future, they're going to
- 53:07Speaker 2: be they're definitely gonna have to deal with the with
- 53:10Speaker 2: the alien threat of the Euros, but they don't know
- 53:14Speaker 2: when they're going to be there though. The cryptic hints
- 53:17Speaker 2: and suggestions that they got from Coal is that it's
- 53:21Speaker 2: coming soon, coming soon to a theater near you. Uh.
- 53:26Speaker 2: There is a bit of an epilogue. In this epilogue,
- 53:32Speaker 2: there's actually a satellite, a black cube shaped satellite that
- 53:37Speaker 2: is orbiting Earth but outbeat. But no one's a no
- 53:42Speaker 2: one has noticed that it's there, and it's been watching
- 53:46Speaker 2: and transmitting this whole time.
- 53:48Speaker 3: And h.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Just as when Nemesis has like as more of like
- 53:55Speaker 2: Nemesis and the other Kaiju have begun emerging and began
- 54:00Speaker 2: like rampaging on the Earth, the satellite itself begins transmitting
- 54:05Speaker 2: a new new signal. So the signal begins transmitting back
- 54:11Speaker 2: to the ear to the Eros high command, and now
- 54:15Speaker 2: we're going to be seen. Now we're going to be
- 54:17Speaker 2: seeing more of the Eros. But just before just as
- 54:23Speaker 2: the this cube satellite begins sending it uh sending a signal,
- 54:28Speaker 2: another another satellite ends up coming up to it, ends
- 54:32Speaker 2: up flying right up to it. This one is a
- 54:39Speaker 2: This one is more of a like orb shaped satellite.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, and the ORG shot the orb shaped satellite
- 54:47Speaker 2: ends up destroying the the Eros's cube shaped satellite, and uh,
- 54:53Speaker 2: the thing is the satellite. The Aero satellite ends the
- 54:55Speaker 2: euro probe, I should say, destroyed, managed to send its
- 54:59Speaker 2: signal back to Eros, but not for this other satellite,
- 55:03Speaker 2: which is later confirmed being controlled by the Ferus, manages
- 55:08Speaker 2: to destroy it. So now the Eros are not getting
- 55:11Speaker 2: live updates. Here's the thing. While the Eros are now
- 55:15Speaker 2: just preparing to come to Earth, the Farrohs are already here.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Of course they are. Why wouldn't they be Why wouldn't
- 55:22Speaker 1: they be here? Why wouldn't they of course there.
- 55:24Speaker 2: Yep, yeah, we're so. Now we're moving from giant kaiju
- 55:32Speaker 2: fights to alien invasions, of course, which I'm not mad.
- 55:38Speaker 2: I wasn't mad about that. I was like, oh, oh,
- 55:40Speaker 2: this is this is getting lit Oh okay, okay, like.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I mean it sounds abou right, sounds a right, yep.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Yeah, from here, this is where Like I like, at
- 55:50Speaker 2: this point, I've already fallen into the rabbit hole. I
- 55:53Speaker 2: followed all of the I've followed and read all of
- 55:56Speaker 2: the other books Raising the Past, Second World Islands of
- 56:00Speaker 2: thirty one and then as I waited for Hyperion, Project
- 56:02Speaker 2: Hyperion to come out, Hyperio. Project Hyperion is going to
- 56:06Speaker 2: be more alien heavy. We're going to see a bunch
- 56:09Speaker 2: of new a bunch of new Kaiju appear, and like,
- 56:13Speaker 2: it's not it's not going to be a Nemesis book
- 56:15Speaker 2: without Kaiju. Of course, like the heroes are going to
- 56:18Speaker 2: send more Kaiji to Earth, and uh, the Faraocs are
- 56:23Speaker 2: going to be have their own plans. They're going to
- 56:26Speaker 2: be working to they are gonna they are going to
- 56:31Speaker 2: try to help humanity. But the thing is is that
- 56:34Speaker 2: the Faraoks are very like self motivated, so like they're
- 56:37Speaker 2: all so while they're willing to work with humanity, they're
- 56:40Speaker 2: not going to be afraid to like throw it under
- 56:41Speaker 2: the bus if they need to.
- 56:43Speaker 1: So agreed, Yeah, they're going, yeah they would.
- 56:47Speaker 2: So the moral of the story is kids, don't trust aliens.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Don't trust aliens because they will fuck you over before
- 56:54Speaker 1: the save their own ass.
- 56:56Speaker 2: But that was but that is it for Projects seven
- 56:59Speaker 2: thirty one. Uh, the next book in the series, of course,
- 57:03Speaker 2: is a Project Hyperion. Now follow Project Legion yes.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Now those two books will be talked about in July
- 57:11Speaker 1: because starting next week we are heading into Pride Month.
- 57:19Speaker 2: We're running Proud Month. We're gonna be just making everything
- 57:22Speaker 2: just hell a gay.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Yes, I'm gonna be obviously catering to the smut because
- 57:28Speaker 1: of av we haven't had a couple we have a
- 57:32Speaker 1: has a smut episode in a minute, so I have
- 57:35Speaker 1: another one. And we know what you degenerates love, oh
- 57:40Speaker 1: oh yeah, and we know what you we know what
- 57:42Speaker 1: you read, oh oh oh, and trust and trusted, some
- 57:45Speaker 1: good ship, some good ship. The time around two episodes,
- 57:49Speaker 1: one in the beginning of the month and one at
- 57:50Speaker 1: the end of the month.
- 57:52Speaker 2: There might be a little bit more for me because
- 57:53Speaker 2: I'm planning on like one book I'm reviewing is kind
- 57:56Speaker 2: of smutty.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I mean it's also really that smutty. I mean there's
- 58:00Speaker 1: I'm in it, but compared to what I'm going to
- 58:03Speaker 1: talk about, it's not that smunny.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely more romance, but uh so, yeah, I'm gonna
- 58:11Speaker 2: be reviewing more wholesome LGBTQ books, you know, like actual
- 58:15Speaker 2: like relationships love.
- 58:19Speaker 1: I'm doing just down right yawie, down right yawie from
- 58:23Speaker 1: the artists who did the Buddhist Priest and the Spider.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Because we all know how much you guys just loved
- 58:32Speaker 2: that episode.
- 58:35Speaker 1: I'd love that artist so much, Hodji, I think it's
- 58:38Speaker 1: his name. Love their work, love their work. So look
- 58:43Speaker 1: forward to that, look forward to Gays in June, there's
- 58:48Speaker 1: four episodes of Gayness, and then of course back in
- 58:51Speaker 1: July will hit up the last bit of Project Typerian,
- 58:54Speaker 1: Project Legion, and then of course Project Hail Mayor it
- 59:00Speaker 1: will be after that.
- 59:03Speaker 2: And Project hell Mary is not a part of it's not.
- 59:07Speaker 1: It just I just realized where I placed it, and
- 59:09Speaker 1: I'm like, that's that's convenient, But yeah, no, it's it's
- 59:12Speaker 1: not part of the project that the Nemesis series.
- 59:17Speaker 2: I have yet to see the movie. I wanted to
- 59:19Speaker 2: read the book first because I was told read the
- 59:20Speaker 2: book first, and I did, and I loved it. It
- 59:23Speaker 2: was really good.
- 59:23Speaker 1: I love the movie. I love the movie. It's so good.
- 59:27Speaker 2: It was I be honest, it was the ending. Was
- 59:30Speaker 2: it what? I wasn't expecting that there was like a
- 59:33Speaker 2: big reveal in the end, And I was like, those bitches,
- 59:39Speaker 2: oh yeah, we've already seen the movie, then you should
- 59:40Speaker 2: already know, but yeah, movies.
- 59:44Speaker 1: The movie's good. The movie's real good, real real sweet.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I'm like, how dare you made me feel this way?
- 59:52Speaker 2: Like, how fucking dare you?
- 59:55Speaker 1: And then after that we'll talk about Dundercard Carl book five. Finally,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: we've had a couple of months from that.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: So yeah, you know, now that you mentioned I was like, wait,
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Like I mentioned Dungeon Crawler earlier, and I was like,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: wait a second, even did we even finish reading that?
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: We did book four, and then we took a couple
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: like a month or two off from Carl series, and
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: then we'll come back to monthly starting with book five.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Will Bitch will be in July, Book six will be
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: in August, seventh will be in September, and then of
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: course the eighth one will be in October. No, that
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: will be that will be November, because October will just
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: be strictly Halloween. Now, I will say there is one
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: book that will be done on the day of on
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the last Thursday before Halloween. I can't wait to talk
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: about it because I'm going to read the ship out
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: of it, and I'm sure you probably will too. It's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a one about Asterian from Boulders Kate three.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Oh, it's not read it.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Huh.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: I'm not sure I'm going to read that because I
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: have like a lot of other books some of the
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I'm playing on reading.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Well, don't worry, I'll read it for the Book of
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Us because TJ. Fisher, T. T. King Fisher love T
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: King Fisher love that woman.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: I'm planning on like after I'm done reading, like what's
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: currently on my TVR, on my on my bookshelf right
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: up here, Like after I'm done with that, I'm planning
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: on either continuing with Red Rising if I like Red Rising,
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: or just finally going back around and like finishing up
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: the Brandon Sanderson novels, the Well not the Brandon Sanderson novels,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: the the Stormlight Archives. Yeah, because I've read the first book,
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: and the first book was really good. But it's epic fantasy,
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: and you have to be like you have to be ready,
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: you have to be locked in if you're good, Like
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: for me at least, you have to be locked into,
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: like to get through an epic fantasy, Like I locked
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: into the Wheel of Time and it spent nine it
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: took nine months in my life. Yeah, finished that whole series,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Like I was reading that shit every day like I
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: was working, and when I was not like busy at work,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: I was just like reading, reading, And like I've always said,
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: that's that series. Definitely like it dragged in certain places
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: in some books. I believe, like you know, they could
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: have just we could have gone without this. But still
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: it was epic fantasy. I loved it. Fourteen books. Shane
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: that Robert Jordan died before he could finish it, but
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: it's good that Brandon Sanderson was able to step in
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: to finish the series because Jesus Christ, that's the ending
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: was like it had me on the edge of my
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: seat the whole time I was reading my book. The
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: ending was just like I was stressed.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: And then Anderson, like the thing about the Stormline Archives
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: is it's ongoing because he just released a book, a
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: new book I think last year or the year before.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: And it took me like not almost a month, but
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: a little over two weeks to read the first book.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: And these books are thick. Yeah, and there was a
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: lot of world building, like a lot of world building,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: and I just tried to like start reading the second,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: the second Stormline book, but as I started reading the
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: so I started reading it I'm like, oh, this is
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: just as much. There's like the world building doesn't start,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: doesn't stop. There's so much detail, Like he goes in
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: details about the landscape, about characters, about the you know,
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: the cultures. Right, I'm just like, there's so much.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Now for the last latter half of the year, from
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: July July onward towards the end of July until like
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: the fall, I plan on doing more episodes with me
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: because I know, I know, y'all, I've been slacking. It's
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: me been slacking. I've been working, been working on my
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: video editing gig gig job, not gig job, and I've
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: been slack alacking. I know, labelistic books I'm going to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: get through. Starting late July is when I want to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: start really pumping out episodes on my end. As far
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: as books that I'm going to talk about, because I
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: have a list of books that I want to get
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: through now before the end of the year. I would
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: like to get through my closest thing. I'll probably get
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to an epic fantasy this year, which probably be the
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: ninth The Gideon, the ninth that series, which I hear
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: it's really difficult. It's really it's a tough for you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: to get through, but I'm like, I'm gonna do it.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I got all three books. I'm gonna do it.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I started reading it a bit on Levy and I
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: wasn't it wasn't that hard. I didn't get far, but
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: like because I was just too busy working. But like
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I was also in the middle of reading another book too,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: I was just like going back and forth.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Well, you also read Brandon Sanderson, so for fun. I
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: don't really dive into the epic fantasy that often really,
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: So this is the This will probably be the first
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: one that I'm going to tackle because I have all
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: three books. They're sitting there looking pre I want to
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: read them.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: There's a lot of Sanderson novels that I keep that
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: I keep seeing recommendations for, mainly like The Misborn Saga,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: and I'm like, I don't really want to get too
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: deep into Sanderson's novels because he has a lot of
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: novels and they're can into each other like it's all
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: part of the like the Cosmere, and I'm like, I
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: don't want to. I've gotten I've fallen down rabbit holes
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: like that of a Whole Cosmia before, and it's it's fun,
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: but at the same time, it's like it takes up
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: a huge chunk of your life. And there's already like
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: like Sanderson's Cosmere is huge, all right, there's a lot
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: that goes into it. There's over twenty books that go
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: into it, and like you can read the books individually,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: but it's like you'll see references to other like worlds,
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: other parts of the Cosmere, and already in like Stormlite Archives,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: I think I got a hint of it, but I
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: like the cop of what the Cosmir is like. But
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't want to I don't want to
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: like dive into I just want to read these books.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: I just only want to read this one series because
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Stormline Archives hear all about it all the time. I've
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: seen these books everywhere and I need to read them.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: I want to read them. And I read the first book.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: It was good. I liked it. I want to go
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: back and read the second book, but I'm good. Unlike
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: with the Unlike with the Wheel of Time, I'm not
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: going to go and like read them back to back
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: because right now there's only like like five or six
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: books in the series, but they're bigger. Each book is
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: individually bigger than any of the Wheel of Time novels.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it was currently more Wheel of Time novels in
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: the Stormline archives, but those novels were not as lengthy
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: like that. Each one was like a good six to
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: seven like range anywhere between seven hundred to like a
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: thousand pages, and like the Sanderson books are not the
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: same but a little bit bigger. Like the two paperbacks
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: that I currently have, they're thick. There, those are the
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: thickest books I have. Yeah, they're currently the thickest books
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: I have.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to work my way up to that. Okay, yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: like uh, but as far as to give more ideas
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: on what type of books I'm going to read, reading
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: a lot of C. C. G. Drews. Yeah, C G. Drews.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: So like the Don't Ut the Forest in hazel Thorn,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: those are y a gay horror. Get a lot of those.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: And I got I got Fucking the Heartless with the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Heartless Hunter and the Rebel Witch. It was like a
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: love story of a witch and a witch hunter. Yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: I have several, I have several. I have a list
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: of a stack of books next to my PC that
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I want to tackle. So expect more of that in
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the latter half of the year.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Let me see, I have Red Rising right now, and
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: then I have two short novels. They're both horror novels.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: One is the one is called Below and the other
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: one is called The Monster of ellen Haven. Those are
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: the two books I bought from Gaulish Books. So the
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: Monster of ellen Haven and then Below, which is a Mothman,
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: yeah story. And then after that I have Bored Gay
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Weight Wolf to read. Maybe I'll get that done maybe,
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: who knows. I was thinking of doing this one for Pride.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Or Pride, if not Pride Halloween.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: I think this would be better for Halloween because like,
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I'm not gonna have enough time to to read this.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Yeah, now do it? Do it for Halloween because Hallowemo,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: we will be strictly just for horror and in my
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: case gay horror and whatever else. And of course the
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Asterian book. But yeah, no, keep that for keep that
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: for Halloween because there's five episodes in Yeah, five episodes
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: in October.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: I definitely will have this done for then, and then
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: I may or may not read that Roku book Alex
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: gave me. I might read that later because this was
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: the book that both you and James got him, and
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: he was like, well, I don't really want to return it,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: but like here, you can keep it on. I was like, okay,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: I'll keep it. But I think this was what the
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: second book in the series, The Reckoning of Roku. I think, so, yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: so if I read this eventually come around to reading it,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: it's going to be like, I'm actually just gonna read
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: it when like after I read the first one, Yeah,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: so I actually get the whole story. And then I
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: also have these collector books.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I thought all the Godzilla books, Yeah.
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: Yeah, there's this was This one's the one I got.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I originally had, and then I found out, Oh, it's
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: all part It's part of the book series, a four
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: book series.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Now you have three of them and you just have
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: to hunt on the last one.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: There was supposed to be five, but the fIF The
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: thing is is that the fifth one was about was
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: gonna be released around the time that the Matthew Broderick
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: Godzilla film came out. But because of how bad that
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: movie did to who like canceled all of the like
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: copyrights and like the licensing. They were like, you guys suck.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: They've straight up just like we're just gonna we're gonna go.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I'm just like, we're gonna take these back. You don't
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: deserve these.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Now, you just need to find the last one. Then
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: you have a whole month of Godzilla.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: There. I know where the last one is, Like, I
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: can only get it online because they don't I've been
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: to like multiple bookstores all over San Antonio. Yeah, I've
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: been to all the bookstores in San Antonio. Nothing, that's
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: a why that's a lot. I haven't been to all
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: of them. But the thing is is that you can
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: only find those and like us bookstores because these are
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: like from the ninetieses were published in the nineties, so
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: they're over thirty years old, like they're well they're pushing
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: thirty years old. And because they were published so long ago,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: and they were also published on a limited release, there's
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: not many of them, and the ones that are left
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: are very rare and very expensive. Like one of the three,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: one of the two that I just bought was like
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: ninety nine dollars, and I thought it was supposed to
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: come with three of them because it's the listing on
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: the on Amazon. It had a picture of all three
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: books right that I didn't have I thought, oh, I'll
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: get all three of them, like me not actually reading
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: the like me like getting excited and not actually reading
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: the damn like listing itself. Yeah, just like just just
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: impulse bought it and then I got it, and then
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I went back and looked at it. I was like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: what is what is actually coming in this? And then
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I saw the listing was just for Godzilla Returns and
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: I was like, I'm a fucking idiot. Oh well, I
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: got I'm getting one of them already new they're anying expensive,
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: and then I went out. That's when I started like
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: hunting for them in like the local like used bookstores.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Like we have a bookstore here in San Antonio called
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: half Priced Books where like you can go and sell
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: old books and buy use used in old books, so
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: they have a lot of good stuff there. I went
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: there asked them like, hey, do you have any books
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: by this author? Because I didn't want to like straight
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: up ask them like do you have these gods little books?
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Like a fucking nerd. And she looked them up and
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: she's like, oh, yeah, we actually have two books, but
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: they're at a different store. I was like, oh, cool, cool, cool,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Which which store is that again and they said, and
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: they told me the story, and I was like all right, cool,
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: like just me just like sprinting to my car and
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: then like zooming like the two stores that I was at.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: The one that I was at and asked them like
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: do they have this book? And they were like no,
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: but this other store has it. The other store was
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: on the literally the other side of the city, of course,
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: on the other side of the city, like a like
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: a good twenty five minute drive away. It was like
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Sensori was big, y'all, we're not like you go. You
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: can't go for one one does not go from one
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: half of the city to the other, all right, it's
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: a it's a drive, all right, it's a it's a
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: like a long ask commute just to get from one
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: place to the city to the other. And like I
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: was on the north side of San Antonio. The bookstore
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: that I was at was on the was on like
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: the north side of San Antonio, which was like not
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: that far like like right down the street from the
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: San Antonio Airport and the and the location that they
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: said had the book I was looking for was on
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: the far west side of San Antonio. Okay, like San
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: Antonio has like three major high like three. Like the
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: way Santonio is laid out is laid out in like
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: a radial, Like it's in a circle. Right, you know,
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: you have a center ring, you have a middle ring,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: and then you have an outer ring, like and the
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: outer ring is called Loop sixteen oh four, and that
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: that bitch runs all the way around San Antonio. All right,
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: it would take you more than an hour just to
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: drive the entire loop. Well, the half price the half
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: priced bookstore that I had that had the book I
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: was looking I was looking for, was on sixteen oh four,
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: right there on sixteen oh four, So from where I
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: was at to where I needed to go, that was
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: a good, like almost thirty minute drive. But did I
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: drive it? Hell yeah I did. It's like this book
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: was like the book I was looking for in store,
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: they were selling it for thirty five bucks. I was like,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: And I looked for it online too, and it was
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: it was being sold at minimum of like like fifty bucks.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Gross.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Oh cool, Get I get this a lot cheaper. Cool? Like,
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: I'm sure it'd be very nonchalant too, because like me,
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: like I like shit, Like there's like whenever I'm looking
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: for something and like I really want something and I
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: know it's in a store. Like I've had instances where
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I've been told it's at a store and I've gone
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: to the store. When I get there, they're like, oh,
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: someone else already bought it, Like they literally just bought
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: it before you. Let me tell you something that has
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: happened to me so many times in my life that
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: now I feel like anytime I'm looking for something, I
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: have to do it spontaneously. I have to be very
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: spontaneous about it. Right. I can't plan it out. I
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: can't say, Okay, I'll go later this week to go
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: pick it up, right, I'm pretty sure I'll still be there. Nope,
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: if as soon as I find out it's there, I'm
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: going to get it. Like and I don't even let
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: them bitches know. I'll just like I asked them, like
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: do they have this set this other They're like do
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: you have it? And they say no, it's at this
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: other store though, like oh okay, cool. I act like
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: I'll notch a lot about it, like okay, cool, Well
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: all right, well if I can, I'll go like not
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: even like hint that I'm gonna go, Like that's exactly
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: where I'm gonna go as soon as then as soon
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: as I'm out of sight, I managed to get it,
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: and I'm glad like where they had it, Like they
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: had it in a collector section, like a vintage selection,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: and it was in a it was actually in like
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: a clear plastic like covering, and like, I'm glad they
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: put it in the section they did, because I could
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: not find it, and I had to ask the attendant
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: at the at that store, like do you guys have
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: this book? And they're like, oh, yeah, it's in this section.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: I was like, oh, thank god it's hidden there, because
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: if someone else found it. Because the thing about San
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Antonio is that sentence Or has a lot of people
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: like me who love Godzilla, even though like we're still
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: like a small community, like I rarely meet other people
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: as obsessed with Godzilla like me, but yet somehow we
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: have a huge community of people here that Or is
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: just one other guy here who's also there's like I'm
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: pretty sure there's one other like avid Godzilla fan here
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: in the city at the very least, there's one other

- 1:16:45Speaker 2: it and buy it, I go to get it and
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: it's gone because that other bitch got to it before
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I did. Like, I don't know who they are, but
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: it's like it's for years. It's been a competition, like
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: see if I can get her, if this other dude
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: can get it, And when I get it, I'm just like, ah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: suck it, bitch.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: But that's what's looking forward to for the latter half
