• 1:07
Speaker 1: Vacation, back from his vacation.
• 1:09
Speaker 1: He's back from his three-week lounging in the basking in the sun of southern Canada and northern America, the southern Arctic circle, pretty much.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, he has a summer place.
• 1:26
Speaker 1: Actually, it's a place all year round, but you don't go there in the wintertime because you can't get there.
• 1:31
Speaker 3: Can't get there from here.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: Anyway, that's another story for another day.
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: Welcome everybody.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: Last week we were hurricaning it.
• 1:39
Speaker 1: We didn't have electricity here at the studio for four days, so it was monday, tuesday, wednesday, and it came back on on thursday now this is a week ago.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: So at the backup and I had to make the call of whether or not we're going to attempt to do the show without electricity at the moment, to make the decision.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: So I made the decision and then, boom, about four hours after I made the decision, the electricity came back on.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: Well, it's best that we didn't, I know.
• 2:15
Speaker 1: And we had a repeat of the big show really big, big, big, big, big show that we had up in Granbury for the Lone Star Street Rod Association.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: I listened to part of that and that was really a good show.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: We had a good time up there and it wasn't as hot at the beginning of the show as it normally was.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: The weather, of course it warmed up quickly in Granbury.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: Granbury, by the way, is just south of Fort Worth A little bit, yeah, but at any rate, that, uh, that is in the thing in the past and now we are in the future and here we are on a saturday morning ready with our live broadcast?
• 2:51
Speaker 1: yeah, we are ready to go back.
• 2:53
Speaker 1: I'm ready but in the meantime, we can go other places, it's true, thankfully with zoom, and joining us right now is our first guest of the morning, john hansen.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: He's the executive director of the classic car club of america museum.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: John, good morning to you.
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: Good morning gentlemen.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: How are you today?
• 3:12
Speaker 1: Well, we're doing great.
• 3:13
Speaker 1: Man, where are you?
• 3:16
  Speaker 4: well.
• 3:16
Speaker 4: So this morning we're kind of starting off in the, the original barn of the classic Car Club of America Museum.
• 3:23
Speaker 4: This is known as the Thomas W Barrett Barn.
• 3:26
Speaker 4: Tom Barrett of Barrett-Jackson's auction was the gentleman that paid to relocate this barn and reconstruct it here on the campus of the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, michigan, which is where our museum is located.
• 3:40
Speaker 4: It's a beautiful, beautiful morning up here.
• 3:42
Speaker 4: This weekend is the weekend of the Horseless Carriage Club of America's annual event on the campus of the Gilmore, so we've got a lot of brass era stuff running all over the campus.
• 3:52
Speaker 4: I had a ride this morning in a 1912 Simplex, which is why my hair is a little windblown.
• 3:57
Speaker 4: So there's a lot of activity here this weekend, but there's activity here every weekend, of course.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Well, I can only imagine that.
• 4:12
Speaker 4: Tell me exactly where this is in michigan.
• 4:13
Speaker 4: What is it close to a big city anywhere?
• 4:14
Speaker 4: So, uh, if you've never heard of a city called kalamazoo, oh yeah, we are.
• 4:15
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, we are just, uh, about 20 minutes north of kalamazoo.
• 4:19
Speaker 4: Hickory corners is a very small town, uh, but the gilmore car museum is situated on a 90 acre campus just outside of hickory corners, just north of a large inland lake called gall lake, uh, as I said, just north of kalamazoo interesting uh, gilmore, uh not any relationship to the uh sponsorship that aj foight had, huh yes, it is all the same kind of family.
• 4:45
  Speaker 4: Yes, I'll be.
• 4:46
Speaker 4: The museum was originally founded by a gentleman named Donald Gilmore.
• 4:50
Speaker 4: The museum opened in the mid-60s.
• 4:52
Speaker 4: It started with one barn and a small collection of Donald Gilmore's personal cars.
• 4:57
Speaker 4: It has since grown to oh, I think they're just shy of 400 cars and several, several partner museums.
• 5:06
Speaker 4: So we are one partner museum of the gilmore car museum, um, the other partner museums being model a ford, cadillac, piercero, franklin, um and so on, and so, uh, we are the original partner museum of the gilmore car museum.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: So so the ccca museum, of course, is independently managed from the gilmore.
• 5:26
Speaker 4: We manage our own collection, uh, and so it's a very interesting arrangement now you mentioned brass era cars, but that's just a portion of the museum well, yeah, so yeah, one of the other partner museums is the museum of the horseless carriage, and so all the partner museums have their own annual weekends.
• 5:44
Speaker 4: We just had our own annual weekend called the experience.
• 5:47
Speaker 4: Uh, we had uh nine dusenberg show up from across the united states.
• 5:52
Speaker 4: We had a beautiful display of 40 full classics.
• 5:55
Speaker 4: Uh, just an absolutely amazing show.
• 5:57
Speaker 4: Uh, the show was two days here on the campus of the gilmore car museum and then we had a three-day driving tour, uh, immediately following uh, the.
• 6:05
Speaker 4: And so each partner museum has their own annual event, and so, just as a way of kind of showcasing the cars that each of our partner museums celebrate, I assume that they trailer these cars, especially the brass era cars, to the museum and to these events.
• 6:23
Speaker 4: Typically, yeah, but not all the time.
• 6:24
Speaker 4: You know, for our experience, a lot of people drove in, some people did transport, but yeah, there's a lot of transporters on the field this weekend.
• 6:34
Speaker 1: Obviously what a great vacation destination you know.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: For us down here in Texas, michigan is not top of mind when it comes to a vacation destination, but I will tell you that I have spent some time in Detroit.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Jeff is from the Detroit area and I will tell you that the Henry Ford is a museum and that would be a destination for anybody to go to and I'm sure that yours is not that far from there.
• 7:05
Speaker 4: You could make it a summer vacation, a road trip, if you will, and do a week in michigan easily you could do a week in michigan, but even just beyond michigan, we and of course our museum being focused on the classic era, so 1915 to 1948, um, there are a large number of museums sort of within a 150 mile radius of Hickory Corners, michigan.
• 7:28
Speaker 4: You mentioned the Henry Ford and that's extremely accurate, our museum, which displays nothing but full classics, the Auburn Ford Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, indiana, which is an hour and a half away from us.
• 7:41
Speaker 4: Studebaker Museum in South Bend, which is even slightly closer than that.
• 7:45
Speaker 4: There's the REO Olds Museum in Lansing, the Wills St Clair Museum in Marysville, the Stahls Museum there's such a wonderful collection of full classics on display in a variety of different museums.
• 8:03
Speaker 4: You know, of course, our museum we're about 45 cars that are strictly full classics, um, so you know, we, we sort of look at at the all of these wonderful museums sort of situated within about 150 miles of us that are very, very easy to get to um, and so if you are a fan of the classic era, there is a lot to see in this region so if I were to go I'm sorry, I was- going to say so.
• 8:26
Speaker 2: All these vehicles have private owners that are just consigned to the museums.
• 8:29
Speaker 2: And are any of these vehicles for sale?
• 8:33
Speaker 4: No, none of the vehicles are for sale and actually our museum.
• 8:39
Speaker 4: We own all but four of the cars on display in here right now.
• 8:42
Speaker 4: We have a temporary exhibit called Power and Performance, which features a Bentley, an Auburn and a Duesenberg, and all three of those cars are loaned to us right now.
• 8:52
Speaker 4: The only other car that's on loan to us is this beautiful Stutz behind me 1930 Supercharged Stutz, but past that, no, the museum owns all the other cars and no, they're not for sale.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, you wish Good try, Because I'm sure that you would probably have a few in your own collection.
• 9:10
  Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely.
• 9:11
Speaker 4: But the best part for me is I get to come here every day and play with these cars, handle them, drive them.
• 9:17
Speaker 4: About 75% of the cars in the museum start, run and drive, and we run them pretty regularly.
• 9:24
Speaker 4: Museum um, start, run and drive, and we run them, uh, pretty regularly.
• 9:27
Speaker 4: Every tuesday we have a team of volunteer mechanics that come in and work with the collection, keep them running, keep them exercised, um, and so we're.
• 9:33
Speaker 1: You know, we're constantly, we've constantly got something out and about that we're driving I can only imagine that you would have a stash of tires somewhere, or at least access to tires, because my gosh, are they sitting in the museum for decades on end.
• 9:46
Speaker 1: I would imagine that some of them can get kind of brittle at times sure, oh yeah, absolutely yeah.
• 9:51
Speaker 4: And there's obviously some cars in the collection are sort of, um, you know, designated as kind of campus running.
• 9:57
Speaker 4: Only you know where they they can go out.
• 9:59
Speaker 4: And you know, our campus here at the gilmore, as I said's 90 acres, so we have a small oval test track where we can run the cars on.
• 10:06
Speaker 4: There's, I think, a couple miles of pavement just on the museum campus where we're able to run the cars and, you know, keep them exercised, keep them running.
• 10:16
Speaker 4: But then we have other cars that I just got done with a 350-mile tour in a 1938 Lansfield-bodied custom buick, uh, that went into northern indiana for for the three-day driving tour and, uh, the car handled beautifully, uh, you know.
• 10:31
Speaker 4: And so some of our cars are are ready for tours like that as well you know it's funny, you mentioned these tours.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: Uh, we down here in texas don't have, clearly, the collection that you've got up there as far as museums are concerned, and all I can think of is, wow, what a great vacation.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: Fly into Detroit, do the Henry Ford, get your RIT car and do the tour up there to all the museums Unless you, of course, are lucky enough to have a classic that you can take 1,500 miles one way.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: So are hotel accommodations nearby, and are there campgrounds nearby?
• 11:14
Speaker 4: Actually the museum offers on-site camping with power, so it's not primitive and so, yeah, there's a really nice camping area on the camp.
• 11:22
Speaker 4: There's lots of shade.
• 11:22
Speaker 4: I've camped there myself a couple times.
• 11:23
Speaker 4: It's a really nice camping area on the camp.
• 11:24
Speaker 4: There's lots of shade.
• 11:25
Speaker 4: I've camped there myself a couple times.
• 11:27
Speaker 4: It's a great spot to camp.
• 11:28
Speaker 4: But yes, in Kalamazoo there are nice accommodations and, again, it's a 20-minute car ride to get from downtown Kalamazoo out to Gilmore.
• 11:37
Speaker 4: So it's really pretty and it's pretty easy and it's a nice drive because you drive around Gull Lake and see the beautiful water and the lovely homes and everything else.
• 11:44
Speaker 4: So it's not a bad drive to get out here at all.
• 11:47
Speaker 2: So Kalamazoo is not far from Battle Creek, so you can stop for breakfast at Battle Creek, for all the Kellogg stuff.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: I was just going to say, yeah, we could take a tour of the cereal factory.
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 11:56
Speaker 3: Get yourself some cornflakes.
• 11:57
Speaker 3: You were talking about keeping the cars exercised.
• 12:00
Speaker 3: Is that like a position a person can apply for?
• 12:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, we would like to be on the athletic staff.
• 12:11
Speaker 1: We could drive the cars.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: Check out our abs.
• 12:14
  Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
• 12:15
Speaker 4: If you ever come up from Texas, give me a call, we'll get a car out and take it for a ride.
• 12:22
Speaker 4: That would be wonderful.
• 12:24
Speaker 1: That would be great.
• 12:25
Speaker 1: Now is there a fee to get into the museum?
• 12:29
Speaker 4: yes, uh, admission is now.
• 12:31
Speaker 4: Admission into the gilmore gets you access to all of the you know, gilmore uh buildings, as well as all the partner partner museum buildings, and I believe it's 20 bucks a person, um, and it it is a full to see.
• 12:44
Speaker 4: You know all of the cars and all of the buildings.
• 12:46
Speaker 4: It's a long full day, um, you know, with with approaching 400 cars on display, um, there's a lot to do here.
• 12:54
Speaker 4: Um, the gilmore runs a program called ride the classics that we occasionally participate in as well.
• 12:59
Speaker 4: Um, you know, five days, five, six days a week, the gilmore's got cars out on the campus, uh, old cars that people can jump in and ride for free.
• 13:08
Speaker 4: Uh, you know there's uh, and again, it's a beautiful historical campus.
• 13:12
Speaker 4: There's just a lot to see, there's a lot to do um, so it's a full day I, I can only imagine.
• 13:18
Speaker 1: Uh, the weather up there at this time of the year is tolerable.
• 13:22
Speaker 1: That's what we'd say from texas.
• 13:25
Speaker 1: You know, it's gorgeous, it's gorgeous, so what?
• 13:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, so what high temperature today.
• 13:31
Speaker 4: What 80 yeah, we might hit 80 um, yeah, and you know yesterday it was probably in the high 70s and there was a nice breeze blowing.
• 13:39
Speaker 4: It was a you know good, you know just a great day up here yesterday and they're expecting the same today yeah, and now is museum.
• 13:45
Speaker 1: Is the museum open year-round?
• 13:48
Speaker 4: Our museum is open year-round.
• 13:49
Speaker 4: Last year was the first year that the Gilmore has been open year-round for a long time, but our museum typically used to close in November and reopen in April.
• 14:01
Speaker 4: But last year, for the first time, we stayed open year-round, which we will continue doing from now on.
• 14:06
Speaker 1: Well, that's good, because I was going to say, you know people, their families have all grown up and moved away, and that sort of thing.
• 14:14
Speaker 1: A lot of folks, especially as you get a little bit older.
• 14:17
Speaker 1: Vacations, thanksgiving, Christmas, new Year's, all of that.
• 14:22
Speaker 1: Christmas, new Year's, all of that, granted.
• 14:23
Speaker 1: The weather may be iffy at times, as, being a Wisconsinite from way back when, I can tell you that?
• 14:38
Speaker 4: But I would imagine that you probably get some folks up there at Christmastime.
• 14:41
Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely, the campus actually decorates for Christmas and they actually do a driving light display that you can come and drive all around the campus and they really do a wonderful drive-through-the-lights kind of display called Winter Wonderland, which helps get people here in winter as well, and so, yeah, like I said, there's always something going on out here.
• 15:01
Speaker 3: Is there generally snow there that time of year when you're doing that?
• 15:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I can see from down.
• 15:06
Speaker 4: here Is there generally snow there that time of year when you're doing that.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I can see from down here.
• 15:10
  Speaker 1: Come on Mars.
• 15:12
Speaker 3: You've never even been up there, you don't even know what it's like that's the reason I'm asking, but I can see why you go up there If I'm going that far.
• 15:17
  Speaker 3: I want a little snow.
• 15:18
Speaker 2: I want to leave it and come back here.
• 15:20
Speaker 2: I'd like to see it.
• 15:21
Speaker 2: The only ice he's seen is in his glass.
• 15:24
Speaker 1: That's right, oh my gosh.
• 15:27
Speaker 1: Well, john, it's great to talk to you.
• 15:29

• 15:42
  Speaker 1: Okay, all right.

Speaker 1: And if you're wondering who that fourth person is down there at the end, it's Craig Bierman.
• 19:57
Speaker 1: He's going to be with us at the bottom of the hour.
• 19:58
  Speaker 1: I don't think that's his real name.
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: That's really not.
• 20:00
Speaker 1: No, it's not we're going to check his ID, gloria Vanderbilt.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: All right Time now for this hour's car review.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: Mr Mars has the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: Did you happen to have setting in the driveway?
• 20:18
Speaker 1: Well, I know, and it'll be a couple of weeks before I get to that review.
• 20:24
Speaker 1: So you're going to kind of do the preview review.
• 20:25
Speaker 3: I'm going to do the preview review?
• 20:26
Speaker 3: Don't look at his paper, so the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo, now paper.
• 20:29
Speaker 3: So this, the 2024 nissan z nismo.
• 20:30
Speaker 3: Now this is the seventh generation of the z card.
• 20:33
Speaker 3: You know it started out as the, the 240z went through several different numbers as they changed it and they finally just said the heck with that, we're going to get smart.
• 20:41
  Speaker 3: It's just a z and uh, it's a nismo.
• 20:44
Speaker 3: It comes in three different packages.
• 20:46
Speaker 3: You can get a sport, a performance Performance, or the Z Nismo Now, the Sport and the Performance standard with a 6P manual transmission.
• 20:53
Speaker 3: But if you want an automatic, they'll give you the 9-speed automatic with no charge.
• 20:58
Speaker 3: Now the Z Nismo that we're going to be talking about is Wait a minute, no charge, no extra charge.
• 21:04
Speaker 3: No extra charge, excuse me, yes, no upcharge, you don't have to pay extra to get the automatic.
• 21:09
Speaker 3: And then the Z Nismo that we're going to be talking about, you can only get that in an automatic.
• 21:14
  Speaker 3: This is a two-passenger car.
• 21:17
  Speaker 3: It's very track-oriented.
• 21:18
Speaker 3: It's got the classic Z styling, so it's got the really long hood, the short deck in the back of it and it sits low to the ground, and it's got the heritage-inspired LED headlights and taillights.
• 21:30
Speaker 3: It's got the daytime running lights on it, all of it's LED automatic on and off.
• 21:33
Speaker 3: It's got the Nismo front and rear fascia.
• 21:37
Speaker 3: I mean this is specific to the Nismo brand.
• 21:40
Speaker 3: You can't get it on the other two models.
• 21:41
Speaker 3: The side seals, the rear spoiler, the heated outside mirrors, they're all styled in a Nismo styling, if you will.
• 21:50
Speaker 3: And it's got some exclusive Nismo 19-inch lightweight aluminum wheels.
• 21:53
Speaker 1: I'd like you to try to describe the Nismo style he just did.
• 21:57
Speaker 1: I did it's sleek, okay, just checking.
• 22:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's sleek Like me.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: It's the Don Armstrong Nismo styling.
• 22:04
Speaker 1: That's not a tow truck or a railway styling as it were.
• 22:08
Speaker 3: Now, on the inside of it it's got again very track-oriented.
• 22:12
Speaker 3: It's got the Nismo Recaro seats in it and it's also got a special Nismo steering wheel.
• 22:18
  Speaker 3: It's got a red push-button starter that I really like.
• 22:21
Speaker 3: The little start button is red.
• 22:22
Speaker 3: It's like you know, hit this button but don't do it after you get going.
• 22:25
Speaker 3: It's got a aluminum trim on the pedals.
• 22:30
Speaker 3: It's got a digital 12.3 digital meter display.
• 22:32
Speaker 3: Now this we used to call that a gauge package and that's where you're going to find your drive computer.
• 22:37
Speaker 3: You've got all kinds of things like the g meter, the programmable shift lights in there, and then on top of the dash there's a three bay gauge cluster.
• 22:46
Speaker 3: That gives it that real sporty trick, looking that you know this is a race car kind of look.
• 22:54
Speaker 3: Now it's also got a nine-inch touchscreen down below that and that's where you're going to find all your convenience controls, like your nav system and the Nissan Connect infotainment system, and you're going to control your six-speaker Bose audio system with active noise cancellation from there as well.
• 23:06
Speaker 3: Now you get up under the hood and it's got a 3.0 liter V6 turbocharged.
• 23:11
Speaker 3: Now the regular to the standard sport and performance have 400 horsepower, but the Z has 20 plus, so it's 420 horsepower, 384 pound feet of torque with a nine speed automatic transmission.
• 23:23
Speaker 3: And I will say the thing I like about this car when you get ready to shift it with a paddle shifter, a lot of times you hit the shift and it'll take it three or four, maybe even 600 rpm for the shift to actually happen.
• 23:35
Speaker 3: Well, this one, you tell it to shift, it's going to shift, you're not going to go.
• 23:38
Speaker 3: You can hit the red line without going over it very much at all.
• 23:41
Speaker 3: Now this epa says you should expect to get 17 miles to the gallon in the city, 24 on the highway, 19 combined.
• 23:49
Speaker 3: Now I will say I took a picture of it over the 282 miles that I drove it, I got a 26.1 you took a picture of it because you thought you were gonna you're gonna lie to us and say something else yeah, it took me a lot of time to get this to done.
• 24:02
Speaker 3: Now, riding handling, it's his track.
• 24:03
  Speaker 3: It's very firm.
• 24:03
Speaker 3: Uh, it's got a very track like steering on it, so it's very responsive, particularly when you put it into the sport mode that it has and it's very firm.
• 24:07
Speaker 3: Uh, it's got a very track like steering on it, so it's very responsive, particularly when you put it into the sport mode that it has, and it's got the nismo suspension.
• 24:15
Speaker 3: So it's a little rougher and it sits a little bit lower and it does have a larger brakes on it.
• 24:19
Speaker 3: The the disc on the brakes are much larger.
• 24:21
Speaker 3: It's got low seating.
• 24:23
Speaker 3: So when you're setting down in this thing, particularly after you get in it with the recurral seats, the blind spots on the pillars to me are considerably bigger.
• 24:31
Speaker 3: Because of the slope on the roof and stuff, it just seems like there are bigger blind spots.
• 24:36
Speaker 3: Now, base model for one of these is $42,992, which is not bad, but the base trim price for the Z Nismo is $64,990.
• 24:44
Speaker 3: Now, as tested, our car had a few little options on it, so it pushed it up to $68,690.
• 24:51
Speaker 3: A little bit there bit something to compare it to the toyota gr super starts at 46 440.
• 24:56
  Speaker 3: A bmw 2 series is 38 400.
• 24:59
Speaker 3: And just for the fun of it, I threw in the mustang because, as far as I'm concerned, you didn't throw in the corvette.
• 25:05
Speaker 3: No, no, no, why I didn't think about it well, okay I threw in the Corvette because I was thinking I mean the Mustang, because as far as I'm concerned, it's a two-seater.
• 25:15
Speaker 3: Nobody could sit in the back seat of that thing and it starts at $30,920.
• 25:19
Speaker 3: Wow, and that's my review of the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo, and I'm really interested to see what you've got to say about it in a few weeks.
• 25:31
Speaker 2: That'll be two weeks.
• 25:32
Speaker 2: Whatever Mike said last week, that's it Actually.
• 25:34
Speaker 2: Give me that You've already done the homework.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: I'll just take that.
• 25:36
Speaker 3: Take all the notes.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: Uh-huh, I'll take all the good stuff out of it.
• 25:40
Speaker 1: I got some recalls to tell you about I know that everybody's got one of these the Fisker Ocean.
• 25:46
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, for 23 and 24 model years the water pump failure can cause loss of drive power.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know how that happens, unless it's water propelled Ram and Chrysler parent Stellata said Thursday it's recalling about 24,000 plug-in hybrid minivans worldwide because of fire risks, urging owners to park outside and away from structures pending recall repairs.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: Park next to a fisker and what, what?
• 26:11
Speaker 1: What are you, uh, what are you currently driving?
• 26:13
Speaker 1: Mars chrysler pacifica hybrid.
• 26:16
Speaker 1: Well, it seems that the 17 through 21 model year chrysler pacifica hybrid includes about 19 500 us vehicles.
• 26:24
Speaker 1: Companies aware of seven incidents that occurred when the vehicles were turned off and some occurred while recharging, as well as four customers who reported symptoms consistent with smoke inhalation.
• 26:36
Speaker 2: It's going to go out there after the show and it's going to be a pile of ashes.
• 26:39
Speaker 3: I parked it next to a pile of wood from the storm that's out there and I thought, hmm, we're going to have a heck of a bonfire S'mores.
• 26:46
  Speaker 1: I smell something.
• 26:47
Speaker 1: Stellana said the events are linked to a rare abnormality in individual cells of the model's high-voltage battery pack.
• 26:57
Speaker 1: Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted and the company said owners are advised to refrain from recharging.
• 27:05
Speaker 1: The company is working on a software update designed to detect the abnormality and, if found, dealers will replace the vehicle's high-voltage battery or batteries or put an ointment on it.
• 27:17
Speaker 2: Put some ointment on it.
• 27:20
  Speaker 1: Band-Aid.
• 27:21
Speaker 1: Hyundai is recalling 54,000 vehicles in the US because of malfunctioning fuel pumps that may cause loss of power 2019-23, genesis G70.
• 27:31
  Speaker 1: 19 to 22,.
• 27:32
  Speaker 1: Veloster N.
• 27:33
  Speaker 1: 22 to 23,.
• 27:35
  Speaker 1: Elantra N and 22 to 23, kona N.
• 27:40
Speaker 1: There's that, and I think I'll save the rest of them for a while later so we can make fun of and have a few laughs to somebody else's dismay.
• 27:54
Speaker 1: Giggles, yeah, but anyway.
• 27:56
