- 0:08Speaker 2: What's up, everybody?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to move the sticks, DJ, Bucky and Rhett back
- 0:12Speaker 1: with you. Buck, start with you Herett?
- 0:14Speaker 2: What do you? What are you? What are you waving
- 0:16Speaker 2: for you?
- 0:18Speaker 3: Tommy Cutlets, Baby, Tommy Cutlets.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We're gonna get to the veto. We're gonna get to
- 0:24Speaker 1: the veto. I just want to welcome Buck back first,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Harry Buck, how you knowing?
- 0:27Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:28Speaker 5: Sure, man, I'm good.
- 0:29Speaker 6: I'm good. I'm good to travel. Preventing me from being
- 0:33Speaker 6: on Monday's episode. To be a while to get back
- 0:35Speaker 6: from Cleveland. But I'm here, I'm in La. I'm ready.
- 0:38Speaker 5: I'm ready to rock. Got plenty of opinions this year.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh all right, yeah we uh.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We took over for yesterday and dug deep into that
- 0:46Speaker 1: Jaggs Browns game. You're welcome on that one for not
- 0:49Speaker 1: having to come in and talk on that game. We
- 0:52Speaker 1: got we got that covered for you. But let's let's
- 0:55Speaker 1: spin it forward to last night's game. It's time for
- 0:57Speaker 1: the Monday night recap, and we got a double header.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I say we start first of all, Dolphins and the Titans. Again,
- 1:03Speaker 1: the Dolphins, as ugly as it was, had pretty much
- 1:06Speaker 1: in control going down at the end up fourteen or
- 1:08Speaker 1: three minutes to go Buck and that's when the Will
- 1:10Speaker 1: Levis magic took place.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Yeah, the Will Levis magic. Give the Tennessee Titans credit.
- 1:16Speaker 6: This was a game that I don't think anybody coming
- 1:19Speaker 6: in thought that the Titans had a.
- 1:20Speaker 5: Reasonable chance of winning.
- 1:21Speaker 6: The only way that we thought that maybe the Titans
- 1:23Speaker 6: could win would be if the Miami Dolphins really helped
- 1:26Speaker 6: him along the way. Turnovers, bad plays and all that
- 1:28Speaker 6: stuff and lo and behole. The Miami Dolphins decided to
- 1:31Speaker 6: help them along the way. The last part of the
- 1:34Speaker 6: fourth quarter.
- 1:34Speaker 5: They just couldn't finish our drives, couldn't finish the game
- 1:37Speaker 5: the right way.
- 1:38Speaker 6: Defense got surprisingly soft at the end, and Will Levis
- 1:42Speaker 6: made enough plays, they got enough confidence, they got a
- 1:44Speaker 6: two point conversion, the first time I've ever seen that
- 1:47Speaker 6: tactic work, where you go for two so you figure
- 1:49Speaker 6: out what it is at the end, what you need.
- 1:51Speaker 5: It worked, and.
- 1:52Speaker 6: So the Tennessee Titans still won. And I think the
- 1:55Speaker 6: Miami Dolphins they were rude the day that they lost
- 1:58Speaker 6: this game because not only prevented it from claiming the
- 2:01Speaker 6: number one seed. But now it opens up the floodgates
- 2:04Speaker 6: for teams at the bottom end is sneaking to the
- 2:06Speaker 6: playoffs with them to kind of be vulnerable when it
- 2:08Speaker 6: comes to.
- 2:09Speaker 5: The Buffalo Bills. Man man lost on the Miami Dolphins.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh, I would I would say that there.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Look at will Will Levis.
- 2:18Speaker 3: He loves it. Man, It's fun to watch. You know,
- 2:22Speaker 3: that's an alpha dude, a competitor. You know, he probably
- 2:26Speaker 3: needs to, you know, take care of himself, you know,
- 2:29Speaker 3: a little bit better on some of those some of
- 2:31Speaker 3: those scrambles, some of those runs where he's out there
- 2:33Speaker 3: putting his shoulder now.
- 2:34Speaker 4: A little bit.
- 2:35Speaker 3: But look, it's hard not to love the way he
- 2:37Speaker 3: plays the game and the passion that he has for it.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Listening to his interview after the game, you know, it
- 2:42Speaker 3: was all about just loving the opportunity with his guys,
- 2:45Speaker 3: and I thought that was awesome. Now for the Dolphins,
- 2:48Speaker 3: this was a serious lack of situational football awareness. They
- 2:55Speaker 3: I mean, they're all over the place, really And Mike
- 2:57Speaker 3: McDaniel said that this loss really comes down to the
- 2:59Speaker 3: way they played on off in the red zone that
- 3:01Speaker 3: you could certainly say that the fumbled snap right there
- 3:03Speaker 3: that you saw. I mean, look, it's unfortunate Connor Williams.
- 3:06Speaker 3: The center goes down. Lee Mikenberg comes in there, but
- 3:08Speaker 3: he's played some center before I know two is said afterwards.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Didn't get a lot of snaps with Eikenberg, but he's
- 3:12Speaker 3: played some center in the absence of Connor Williams this season.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I don't know that that should cause that much of
- 3:18Speaker 3: an issue on a in a pivotal situation there where
- 3:21Speaker 3: you're about to put points on the board. Instead the
- 3:23Speaker 3: Titans are able to thwart that scoring opportunity. And then
- 3:26Speaker 3: you had you know, you go back to the end
- 3:28Speaker 3: of it, right where you had the hold on Iikenberg
- 3:31Speaker 3: on a third down play that allows the Titans to
- 3:34Speaker 3: keep one of their timeouts right stops the clock saves them,
- 3:37Speaker 3: you know, thirty forty seconds right there. Then you had
- 3:41Speaker 3: the delay of game on sealer right on defense. You know,
- 3:45Speaker 3: they were talking about it on the MANU cast as
- 3:47Speaker 3: he was calling out the snap.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Count, you know, which is obviously you can't do.
- 3:51Speaker 3: And so you know, you get one of those kind
- 3:53Speaker 3: of odd ball penalties at the end of a game,
- 3:56Speaker 3: just like we saw in that Chiefs Bills game, but.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Still happened there.
- 3:59Speaker 3: And then you know, you go back to the red
- 4:01Speaker 3: zone offense, DJ and I'll come to you on this here,
- 4:04Speaker 3: because McDaniel's talking a lot about, you know, those last
- 4:07Speaker 3: couple of possessions.
- 4:08Speaker 4: I think where they.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Were able to you know, those last two touchdowns they scored,
- 4:12Speaker 3: they were in the red zone and they ran the
- 4:13Speaker 3: ball on every play. Meanwhile, on the previous two red
- 4:16Speaker 3: zone possessions they threw the ball in almost every play
- 4:19Speaker 3: and end up settling for two field goals. So the
- 4:21Speaker 3: questions like, well, why didn't you just run it? Well,
- 4:24Speaker 3: I guess it's a little bit more complicated than that.
- 4:26Speaker 3: But definitely for a team that's as good as they
- 4:28Speaker 3: are on the ground in those situations, you'd like to
- 4:31Speaker 3: think that they could rely on that a little bit more.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple things. Number One, it is a good
- 4:35Speaker 2: Titans front.
- 4:36Speaker 1: So you know, I know the Titans aren't where they
- 4:38Speaker 1: want to be right now, but that defensive front is
- 4:40Speaker 1: a strength of their football team. And so you had
- 4:42Speaker 1: that factor. And then go back and watching the tape
- 4:44Speaker 1: this morning, it was just sloppy. I don't know what
- 4:47Speaker 1: are the word to use. I mean, you think about
- 4:49Speaker 1: two oh with them, you got this issue with the center,
- 4:51Speaker 1: You've got the fumble snaps, You've got him slipping falling down.
- 4:54Speaker 1: He kind of ran himself into a sack like it
- 4:57Speaker 1: was just sloppy all the way around the board for.
- 5:00Speaker 2: The Miami Dolphins.
- 5:01Speaker 1: On the Will Levis thing, want to give him credit
- 5:03Speaker 1: those last two drives watching that tape this morning. We're
- 5:06Speaker 1: going to get to the Giants game. But two of
- 5:08Speaker 1: the bigger plays for both those teams the exact same play.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Kind of had a levels concept and you got a
- 5:13Speaker 1: corner route and they both hit the corner. Both the
- 5:16Speaker 1: rookies were able to hit the corner route, and it
- 5:18Speaker 1: was a big game for him and.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Kind of got their thing going a little bit.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But look, check the ball down, use the backs, pop
- 5:25Speaker 1: a screen, and then eventually when you get your opportunities
- 5:28Speaker 1: down the field, he hits Hopkins on a deep over.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He had a corner route. So Will Evis did a
- 5:32Speaker 1: nice job in the big moments of the game. And
- 5:34Speaker 1: I think it also shows you as a rookie, I
- 5:37Speaker 1: want to be the first pick. You all want to
- 5:38Speaker 1: be a top five pick. At the end of the day,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it's more important, Go go to the better team, Go
- 5:42Speaker 1: where you've got some infrastructure in place. I think that
- 5:45Speaker 1: was a good spot for him. I think he's got
- 5:46Speaker 1: a chance to be a starting quarterback in this league
- 5:48Speaker 1: for quite some time. But Buck, we'll go around the
- 5:51Speaker 1: horn quick one more time here the other point on
- 5:54Speaker 1: this one, and it'll catch up to where we go
- 5:56Speaker 1: to the next game.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Be a good bridge for us. This was just upset week.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You know, it's a seventheen game season, and it just
- 6:02Speaker 1: felt like game after game after game you had the
- 6:05Speaker 1: team that was the better team, the favorite team, just
- 6:08Speaker 1: not playing clean football. And it showed you in the
- 6:11Speaker 1: NFL you got to show up every week.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Man. There's no you know, there's no directional schools on
- 6:15Speaker 2: an NFL schedule.
- 6:17Speaker 5: Yeah. No.
- 6:17Speaker 6: I think what it shows is, I mean, I think
- 6:20Speaker 6: the league in general, there's not a dominant team, and
- 6:22Speaker 6: so the playoffs are going to be fascinating because it
- 6:24Speaker 6: won't be the best team that all the punches their
- 6:27Speaker 6: ticket to Super Bowl fifty eight. It will be the
- 6:30Speaker 6: team that is the hottest team down the stretch. And
- 6:32Speaker 6: the AFC in particular, when you look at the top,
- 6:35Speaker 6: you have the Baltimore Ravens. But the Baltimore Ravens could
- 6:37Speaker 6: have easily been knocked off by the LA Rams if
- 6:39Speaker 6: not for a very dramatic and spectacular pump returned That
- 6:43Speaker 6: was also little bit a bunch of penalties, but that's
- 6:45Speaker 6: neither here nor there. Kansas City dropping games Miami, the
- 6:49Speaker 6: Jacksonville Jaguars, and so really, if you're a coach, you
- 6:52Speaker 6: stand in front of the team today and you're just saying, hey, guys,
- 6:54Speaker 6: if we just get into the tournament, we got as
- 6:57Speaker 6: good a shot as any team to doing it, because
- 6:59Speaker 6: a lot of it is matchups and how will you
- 7:02Speaker 6: play on that given day.
- 7:03Speaker 5: It's gonna be interesting to see how.
- 7:05Speaker 6: These playoffs turn out because I don't know if you
- 7:07Speaker 6: can really bank on anybody being the favorite as it
- 7:10Speaker 6: comes down to it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, I mean think about unexpected results. Well, we got
- 7:15Speaker 1: one in the game here. I Rett is just he's
- 7:17Speaker 1: he's literally twitching. He wants to talk about this so bad.
- 7:20Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go to Rhett first on this one.
- 7:22Speaker 1: The the Veto magic, I mean, look, the agent was interesting,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that was entertaining, But give the Vito credit for what
- 7:29Speaker 1: he did on the field when they needed a fourth
- 7:31Speaker 1: quarter drive. They get it done, they get it went
- 7:32Speaker 1: over the Green Bay Packers.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I was talking to my buddies in Boston and
- 7:37Speaker 3: obviously worked there for five years, and Sean Stillado is
- 7:41Speaker 3: from that area. And there's definitely some stories about some
- 7:45Speaker 3: some fun stuff that that he's done and support of
- 7:49Speaker 3: his clients.
- 7:50Speaker 4: It was just pretty cool and this was.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Its just like every everyone was kind of like all
- 7:54Speaker 3: in on it, right. I Mean, you had him up
- 7:56Speaker 3: there with the dad and they're all and like, it's
- 7:59Speaker 3: just like this fun domenon right now. Like honestly, think
- 8:01Speaker 3: about this, like it feels like Lynn's sanity back when
- 8:04Speaker 3: Jeremy Lynn was playing with the Knicks.
- 8:06Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:06Speaker 3: It's like Tommy DeVito has just like found you know,
- 8:09Speaker 3: has struck gold here with the Giants. And I think
- 8:12Speaker 3: they're doing a good job with him, and he's playing
- 8:15Speaker 3: well well enough to win these games. Let's let's give
- 8:18Speaker 3: him the credit too. But I think Brian Able, you know,
- 8:21Speaker 3: kind of like the way, you know, we've been talking
- 8:23Speaker 3: about the way that Zach Taylor in the Bengals have
- 8:26Speaker 3: put Jake Browning in a good position, I think Brian
- 8:28Speaker 3: Dable and the Giants have done the same thing. They
- 8:29Speaker 3: ran for two hundred yards last night, and Tommy Devido
- 8:32Speaker 3: was responsible for seventy of them.
- 8:34Speaker 4: I did not.
- 8:35Speaker 3: See that really being a huge factor for him when
- 8:39Speaker 3: I watched him. You know that last year at Illinois,
- 8:41Speaker 3: that mobility ten carries seventy one yards a lot of
- 8:44Speaker 3: most of them are on scrambles, but the one design
- 8:47Speaker 3: Ronnie Dangniers scored on made a terrific move in the
- 8:50Speaker 3: secondary for extra yards. Now, look, they're taking care of him.
- 8:52Speaker 3: In the past game a little bit. You know, twelve
- 8:54Speaker 3: of his completions were within five yards of the line
- 8:57Speaker 3: of scrimmage or behind it. He only completed one. He
- 9:00Speaker 3: only really threw one ball beyond twenty yards in the air,
- 9:02Speaker 3: and it was a flea flicker they probably shouldn't have thrown,
- 9:05Speaker 3: but ends up getting completed anyway, because why not. We're
- 9:08Speaker 3: in d Vito mania right here. So I just think that, like,
- 9:12Speaker 3: outside of that one play, he doesn't really play outside
- 9:14Speaker 3: of himself. He kind of understands what's being asked of him,
- 9:16Speaker 3: and then when he needs to make a big time
- 9:17Speaker 3: throw bang he made it. Isaiah Hodgens for that touchdown.
- 9:21Speaker 3: As you were talking about earlier like that, Look it's fun,
- 9:26Speaker 3: like live it up while it lasts, like who knows
- 9:28Speaker 3: how long it's gonna last, but let's enjoy the ride.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Look, this is this is a great story.
- 9:33Speaker 6: It's a great story for Tommy DeVito because you talk
- 9:36Speaker 6: about him at Illinois, but watching Timmy DeVito says he
- 9:39Speaker 6: was in high school, played a Don Bosco right there
- 9:41Speaker 6: in jurors, big time program, was a big time recruit
- 9:43Speaker 6: that went to Syracuse for whatever reason, didn't work out there,
- 9:46Speaker 6: finishes up at Illinois. But what I've seen is the
- 9:49Speaker 6: talent has always been there, Like this was a I guy,
- 9:52Speaker 6: it was a four or five star recruit.
- 9:53Speaker 5: He is showing up with the arm talent you see
- 9:55Speaker 5: in the athleticism. The one thing that strikes me is
- 9:59Speaker 5: the likability.
- 10:00Speaker 6: There's something that he presents, he projects that allows his
- 10:04Speaker 6: teammates to really gravitate to him. When you see him
- 10:07Speaker 6: after the game with sa kuon Barkle, you see Dexter
- 10:10Speaker 6: Lawrence with him, there is something about him that he's
- 10:13Speaker 6: just kind of the guy.
- 10:14Speaker 5: And Look, I.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Think it's one of the things that when we're doing
- 10:17Speaker 6: quarterback evaluations, maybe we need to dig a little deeper.
- 10:20Speaker 6: And see like that character, how they get along, how
- 10:23Speaker 6: they interact with their teammates, because as much as we
- 10:26Speaker 6: talk about it being a talent position, it's a leadership
- 10:28Speaker 6: position and you have to be able to connect with
- 10:31Speaker 6: their teammates. Tommy DeVito has connected and that's one of
- 10:34Speaker 6: the reasons as a rookie backup, he's been able to.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Have a lot of success with the New York Giants.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Down on the other side of things, guys, the you know,
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Packers turn the ball over again, sloppy.
- 10:42Speaker 2: That's kind of the theme for the week.
- 10:44Speaker 1: When you look at these teams are the favorite teams
- 10:46Speaker 1: and games they should probably win.
- 10:48Speaker 2: They don't protect the football.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So that's what gave Tommy DeVito the opportunity to go
- 10:52Speaker 1: ahead and win this ball game. But watching at the
- 10:54Speaker 1: end of the game, right you talked about the throws
- 10:56Speaker 1: behind the line of scrimmage again, when you can run
- 10:59Speaker 1: the ball with the young quarterback, when you can run
- 11:01Speaker 1: it and when you can give them easy completions, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: I did not understand what Green Bay was doing defensively,
- 11:05Speaker 1: by the way, at the end of the game, I mean,
- 11:07Speaker 1: get up and challenge these guys a little bit. They
- 11:09Speaker 1: just let them kind of easily get down the field
- 11:11Speaker 1: in field position and in field goal position. Didn't make
- 11:14Speaker 1: any sense to me whatsoever there. So anyways, go ahead, RTT,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and I ask.
- 11:20Speaker 3: You you guys, I mean this question because look, and
- 11:22Speaker 3: no one's trying to put a wet blanket on what's
- 11:26Speaker 3: been a lot of fun to watch here with Tommy DeVito.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But like, let's let's understand you know, this scenario here
- 11:31Speaker 3: because we all kind of got caught up in Josh
- 11:33Speaker 3: Dobbs mania for a while with the Arizona Cardinals and
- 11:36Speaker 3: then again with the Minnesota Vikings, and now we're talking
- 11:38Speaker 3: about him probably heading back to the bench here at
- 11:40Speaker 3: some point. Like it's great when these guys come out
- 11:44Speaker 3: and perform when they're giving their opportunities when their team
- 11:46Speaker 3: needs them to perform. But I mean, ultimately, like we're
- 11:51Speaker 3: not going to go into next season probably with Tommy
- 11:52Speaker 3: DeVito as the starting quarterback here, right, I mean, like
- 11:54Speaker 3: there's there's there's I mean, obviously you paid a lot
- 11:56Speaker 3: of money with Daniel Jones, but I mean, is is
- 12:00Speaker 3: this formula sustainable? I guess DJ is what I'm asking
- 12:03Speaker 3: here with a quarterback like the veto for these giants
- 12:05Speaker 3: is they're just sitting here, you know, a game back
- 12:08Speaker 3: of the seventh wildcard spot here.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I think the difference now is we live in a
- 12:13Speaker 1: world where brock Purty exists. So you know, whether or
- 12:17Speaker 1: not you agree with it or not, these guys are
- 12:19Speaker 1: going to be given a chance. They're going to be
- 12:21Speaker 1: given a longer lease to see. It's opened your mind up, Buck,
- 12:24Speaker 1: if you're looking at any situation now, because after brock
- 12:27Speaker 1: Perty's first good game, when he was he was thrown
- 12:30Speaker 1: into the mix, it.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Was, oh, that's kind of cute me.
- 12:32Speaker 1: This is multi can Maybe this is like a case Keenum,
- 12:35Speaker 1: a little little three four game magic here they found
- 12:37Speaker 1: a little something, But no thought in your mind this
- 12:40Speaker 1: is going to be the future at the position.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I think that.
- 12:43Speaker 1: I think the brock Purty situation changes things for guys
- 12:45Speaker 1: liked Vito. I don't know that he's going to be
- 12:47Speaker 1: able to maintain this level of play, but you got
- 12:50Speaker 1: to keep in mind open and the thought that if
- 12:52Speaker 1: he does, then it changes your thinking.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Yeah, look at DJ, I'm with you on that. I
- 12:56Speaker 5: think you have to be open to it.
- 12:58Speaker 6: You have to be open to a situation where to
- 12:59Speaker 6: Pep is that a player really works well within the system.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Now a lot of this is Brian Dave Ball and
- 13:04Speaker 6: Mike Afa doing a great job of setting Tommy DeVito
- 13:07Speaker 6: up for success, But somebody falls on Tommy DeVito playing
- 13:10Speaker 6: within his limitations, not trying to do too much, understanding
- 13:15Speaker 6: how to play the game, situational awareness in those things.
- 13:18Speaker 6: He has done it and we have seen him get
- 13:20Speaker 6: better and better and better. Look, he's three and one
- 13:22Speaker 6: as a starting quarterback for the New York Giants, and
- 13:24Speaker 6: the Giants were struggling. I'm not saying that he should
- 13:27Speaker 6: be the starter, but certainly in a league that is
- 13:30Speaker 6: devoid of quarterback depth, he certainly has earned the right
- 13:34Speaker 6: to be on the Giants going forward as they continue
- 13:36Speaker 6: to develop him and just kind of see where the
- 13:38Speaker 6: possibly possibilities end up.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And no doubt, it's been a fun story. It's been
- 13:44Speaker 1: fun to watch on the field, but also a fun story.
- 13:46Speaker 1: The NFL does an unbelievable job of giving the public
- 13:50Speaker 1: something new, something you never thought you think about, or
- 13:52Speaker 1: a storyline that just came out of left field.
- 13:55Speaker 2: This year, right now, the last month, it's Tommy DeVito.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So enjoy it. Why last?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Hopefully the ride continues on a little bit longer for
- 14:02Speaker 1: the Giants.
- 14:03Speaker 2: All Right, we're gonna take a quick break. We come back.
- 14:04Speaker 1: We're gonna jump into our rookie scores from last week.
- 14:08Speaker 1: See how we're doing. I think it's a pretty close race.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We'll jump into that right after this. The Saturday Showdown
- 14:17Speaker 1: is back this Saturday with an exclusive tripleheader live on
- 14:21Speaker 1: NFL Network. Watch the Vikings and the Bengals at one
- 14:24Speaker 1: pm Eastern, followed by Steelers Colts and Broncos Lions in
- 14:29Speaker 1: prime time Saturday, December sixteenth, only on NFL Network and
- 14:34Speaker 1: streaming on NFL Plus. All right, let's get into the
- 14:38Speaker 1: rookie draft. We do this each and every week on
- 14:40Speaker 1: the show. We look back first before we look forward.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Guys.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Last week, Buck had a strong week. He's very much
- 14:47Speaker 1: back into the mix. Here, Will Levis gets him the
- 14:50Speaker 1: three points. Then he picks up a second place finish,
- 14:53Speaker 1: finished with Jamiir Gibbs and pukin Nakua. RHTT got three
- 14:57Speaker 1: points off a Zay Flowers tough look on the cg
- 14:59Speaker 1: stret out injury. By the way, I was able to
- 15:02Speaker 1: secure the three points at the running back position for
- 15:04Speaker 1: Bijon and a point for Aidan O'Connell, which I don't
- 15:07Speaker 1: know how that happened.
- 15:08Speaker 2: They got shut out.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But right now that puts Buck He's only six behind me,
- 15:13Speaker 1: or sorry, RTT six behind me. Bucky is seven behind me.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You guys are right there. As we got to week fifteen,
- 15:19Speaker 1: all right, it's my turn to go first, guys, and
- 15:24Speaker 1: c J. Stroud has been the number one pick for
- 15:26Speaker 1: quite some time now, but because as we're recording, this
- 15:29Speaker 1: doesn't look great for him after the hit last week.
- 15:32Speaker 1: So I'm gonna go back to what we used to
- 15:34Speaker 1: do at the beginning of the year when we were
- 15:35Speaker 1: doing this rookie draft, and I'm going to go Buck
- 15:37Speaker 1: with Bijon Robinson with my first pick, hoping to pick
- 15:41Speaker 1: up those three points as they play the Carolina Panthers, which,
- 15:45Speaker 1: by the way, I've been getting roasted on Twitter because
- 15:50Speaker 1: people have found a draft a tweet where I said
- 15:54Speaker 1: the Carolina Panthers with this new look offense could win
- 15:57Speaker 1: ten games, and guys, alert, they.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Will not be winning ten games. They have one part
- 16:04Speaker 2: of it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I went back in aut uh I was you know,
- 16:10Speaker 1: I was draft day they had Bryce Young.
- 16:12Speaker 2: This is the thing.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They won seven games last year. I'm like, Okay, Bryce Young.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I like Bryce Young, He's good.
- 16:18Speaker 2: And then oh you know, and maybe with.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Miles Sanders and Feeland they had him into the mixt year,
- 16:23Speaker 1: maybe they can get more wins this Young defense. Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: that was not a great take a right, that's been
- 16:29Speaker 1: brought back to light. Not a great not a great
- 16:33Speaker 1: set up there. But I'll go bijon against that uh,
- 16:35Speaker 1: that illustrious Carolina Panthers team with my first pick.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Oh wow, Okay, I'm up.
- 16:41Speaker 6: So let let me let me grab a running back
- 16:43Speaker 6: real quick, since I don't leave rihtt to find somebody.
- 16:46Speaker 6: So I'm gonna take Gibbs from the Detroit line of
- 16:49Speaker 6: this CF He has a week this week, see if
- 16:51Speaker 6: he can.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Get up and go on, and we'll let uh uh.
- 16:54Speaker 6: Read kind of dig around the bargain basement to see
- 16:57Speaker 6: if he can find a running back.
- 16:58Speaker 5: With his choice.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Okay, uh, no problem.
- 17:02Speaker 3: So I'm gonna leave my running back for the last
- 17:04Speaker 3: overall pick, which is also mine in this draft. Don't
- 17:07Speaker 3: need to take one here. What I will take is
- 17:09Speaker 3: the first quarterback off the board. And I mean, guys,
- 17:12Speaker 3: it's it's Will Levis, right, It's it's it's got to
- 17:16Speaker 3: be Will coming off his performance. I mean, like Defto's
- 17:20Speaker 3: winning games. Is he putting up numbers?
- 17:22Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Is the numbers game in the fantasy draft? Plus going
- 17:27Speaker 3: down in New Orleans?
- 17:28Speaker 6: Uh?
- 17:28Speaker 4: In the Dome?
- 17:29Speaker 3: You know who knows who knows there? I did consider
- 17:32Speaker 3: a revenge game possibility here with Jake Browning going back
- 17:35Speaker 3: to the team that I think originally signed him in
- 17:37Speaker 3: the Minnesota Vikings.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Consider that it's like it's ninth year in the LEA.
- 17:48Speaker 3: That's right, sorry, first time starter, all right, scratch it,
- 17:51Speaker 3: scratch it.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Give me Will Levis, Will Levis, Gosh, tough crowd.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Over here, Will Levis, and then I'll get my my
- 18:00Speaker 3: first choice receivers.
- 18:01Speaker 2: We're gonna take.
- 18:02Speaker 7: Next like you should be a rookie though, Okay, it
- 18:09Speaker 7: feels like it right, nice, all right, So I'm gonna
- 18:12Speaker 7: take God Save Flowers was good for me this last week,
- 18:16Speaker 7: going up against Bucky's Jaguars here in a big game
- 18:19Speaker 7: in the AFC.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Man, I think, though, I'm gonna go Pooka at home
- 18:26Speaker 3: against the Commanders here, and that Commander's team is has
- 18:30Speaker 3: been rough on the defensive edge.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Give me Pooka. With my back to back pick here,
- 18:33Speaker 4: Pooka and Levis.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Oh wow, Okay, there we go.
- 18:36Speaker 6: So look, I'm look, I'm maybe a little recent recency bias.
- 18:41Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with Tommy DeVito, Tommy DeVito saying, my
- 18:45Speaker 6: guy's hot, he's popping. The Giants are back there in
- 18:49Speaker 6: the playoff mix. Everything is exciting. So I'm digging it.
- 18:53Speaker 6: I'm digging it all in New York.
- 18:55Speaker 4: All right, DJ back to back?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Huh all right, I'm uh yeah, I've got back to
- 19:00Speaker 1: backs here. Let's see, I've got the Ravens against the Jags.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I do like picking players that are playing against Bucky's
- 19:06Speaker 1: team when Bucky's in the building, because I like him
- 19:08Speaker 1: to be on the sideline see a big play and
- 19:10Speaker 1: just have it hurt doubly.
- 19:12Speaker 2: So I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with a Flowers
- 19:16Speaker 2: with my uh, with my first pick.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And then now I've got to go quarterback, guys, I'm
- 19:21Speaker 1: not loving available in the set up here.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, man, go back to if he got to
- 19:30Speaker 3: the one point.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Aidan O'Connell in a gets a Chargers backed him thirteen
- 19:38Speaker 1: times and the last time they played. Uh, oh my goodness.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I watched Bryce last week. Guys, it was not good.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I can't do that. I don't I don't love this.
- 19:50Speaker 1: But Aidan O'Connell got me a point last week. So
- 19:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm going back to back shut out last week.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Maybe they score some maybe they score a touchdown. This week,
- 19:58Speaker 1: we'll see aiden no car god.
- 20:02Speaker 6: Internal conflict of calling the game, calling the game for
- 20:05Speaker 6: your team while hoping that the opponents.
- 20:09Speaker 2: It's called conceding. It's called conceiting. It's conceding. I'm not
- 20:12Speaker 2: getting a point from the quarterback posession. I just concede.
- 20:15Speaker 2: That's it.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Oh man, I get it that. That's that's tough. And
- 20:18Speaker 5: so what's also tough?
- 20:20Speaker 6: I saw Justin Jefferson get hit and we don't know
- 20:23Speaker 6: if he's going to play, So that would appear to
- 20:25Speaker 6: maybe elevate maybe Jordan Addison maybe.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Ads back in the lineup.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Over the middle of the field. So let's go with
- 20:33Speaker 6: Jordan Addison. JJ is out. That means JA should be
- 20:36Speaker 6: able to get busy.
- 20:39Speaker 4: It's interesting, Okay.
- 20:41Speaker 3: So I just want to bring to light that Bucky
- 20:45Speaker 3: is starting an undrafted free agent quarterback over the number one.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Overall pick quarterback, which uh let that sick in for
- 20:55Speaker 4: a moment.
- 20:58Speaker 5: I'm not the only one to buy past number one overall. No,
- 21:02Speaker 5: that's true. That's true.
- 21:04Speaker 3: But you're the only one that chose an undrafted free agent.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Just look.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I mean, Devido is definitely out playing that status for sure,
- 21:14Speaker 3: and I think I would have done the same. So
- 21:16Speaker 3: final pick, I got to get a running back, and
- 21:19Speaker 3: I feel like if Tyreek Hill is maybe a little
- 21:21Speaker 3: bit less, then maybe we get more.
- 21:25Speaker 4: In this game.
- 21:26Speaker 3: So let me go back to a Chan even though
- 21:28Speaker 3: he got me the big goose egg this week. So
- 21:31Speaker 3: I go with Levis Puka.
- 21:33Speaker 4: And a Chan on my squad. I like that.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It's a good draft, solid draft right there. We'll see
- 21:39Speaker 1: how this shakes out this next week. Man, I not
- 21:42Speaker 1: love the quarterback options as we sit here in week fifteen.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I'm just trying to nurse the lead boys. I'm just
- 21:47Speaker 1: trying to just four minute offense, four minute offense. Just
- 21:50Speaker 1: try and get a point or two and hold on.
- 21:53Speaker 1: That's all I'm trying to do is hold on, and
- 21:55Speaker 1: we'll see if the quarterback options get better as the
- 21:58Speaker 1: year goes along. Not loving it where we are right now,
- 22:00Speaker 1: that's for sure, all right, that's gonna do it for
- 22:03Speaker 1: us today. I want to encourage you guys to be
- 22:04Speaker 1: with us Tomorrow. We're gonna look a little bit deeper
- 22:07Speaker 1: at the AFC Playoff picture, looking at some of these teams.
- 22:11Speaker 1: We're buying, some we're not so sure of. We'll jump
- 22:14Speaker 1: into that tomorrow, but that'll do it.
- 22:15Speaker 2: For us today. We appreciate you hanging with us right
- 22:17Speaker 2: here on. Move the sticks.
