- 2:02and of course, rest in power always to the legendary icon the Polo Gate
- 2:10Prince himself, Dallas Pen. Word up, word up. For those hearing
- 2:16this episode in real time, you know you will probably have heard the news
- 2:21that our brother Dallas Pen transcended. Dallas Pen transcended recently, and it's obviously
- 2:30weighing heavily on all of our hearts. But we are here to distress.
- 2:35The latest episode of X Men ninety seven, Episode eight, Tolerance is Extinction
- 2:42Part one man, and it sucks, y'all because Dallas, you know,
- 2:46I'm not even sure how much of the X Men ninety seven he actually got
- 2:49the peep. Yeah, we were talking a lot, but I never got
- 2:52to ask him about that. Recently, while we were talking, and I
- 2:55just know he would fucking love this shit. But it's just like you know
- 2:58with my brother combat agresting peace to him. Like if I had to have
- 3:01a text from Dallas Penn where we were talking about combat Jack and how much
- 3:07he would love this era that we're in right now, Like, yes,
- 3:12I can't imagine how camm oh, I can't imagine because I know Combat like
- 3:15the thing that would be losing his fucking mind. First one, Reggie would
- 3:20be on this show every other week. Yes, I got to be on
- 3:23there like say what his few you know, his points about something and then
- 3:29you know what I'm saying, Like he the type he would pull Ron where
- 3:31he just he's just there. He ain't no more so shout out. Speaking
- 3:36of shout out to Ron, doctor Dre last week came on. Appreciate y'all.
- 3:43Ron, I know you needed to go save the day with the Yo.
- 3:46The craziest ship is I can't even tell y'all what really happened with Ron.
- 3:52Oh my god, Jesus, Lord have mercy, like that was some
- 3:57real life ship. It's a real life but you know he's a superhero too,
- 4:00so it's loose to him. And yeah, I mean, I'm glad
- 4:04you mentioned it, just the fact that you know Dallas would if he hadn't
- 4:08watched it, and he did, he would absolutely love of this. Reggie
- 4:12Jackie would love this, and this has been a sentiment all over the internets,
- 4:15like and as each episode gets more and more layered and beautiful, honestly
- 4:23and compelling, every single episode that has come out, like you see literally
- 4:30the blossom of the of the social media spear everyone just like, really,
- 4:36for me, this is the first time in a long time, not ever,
- 4:40just in a long time where people understood the art for the art and
- 4:45people were just like there were less and yes, people have questions and you
- 4:48know there's still the people trying to figure out everything that they can. But
- 4:53I felt like I've seen more tweets and more messages and posts about people appreciating
- 4:59the art and you know what I mean, No, and that's that's a
- 5:03beautiful thing because that's an argument that you know, me and Dallas another thing
- 5:08we were talking about recently is like and sometimes I've argued with them on the
- 5:11show and sometimes I accept it. You know, we create content versus art,
- 5:15et cetera. And I'm a big hater the word content. But then
- 5:17sometimes I'm like, fuck it, you know, I get it. You
- 5:19know, that's what people are talking about today. You know, it's realty
- 5:23today. But I think it's bullshit. And I think it because it reduces
- 5:26what we do and it also makes it where I saw my man Peter Ramsey
- 5:30shout out to him. He once said, the first step into allowing the
- 5:34idea that a robot could do this is when you call content, you know,
- 5:40and when people just make things to consume, you know, And that's
- 5:43what content is. You know, you're for consumers, and I don't believe
- 5:46and you should consume things. I believe you should, you know, absorb,
- 5:50talk about be in the moment with things, not you know, where
- 5:54it's not always looking for the next thing, not always presume, consumed time
- 5:57I get to the next thing, you know. And that's what people doing
- 6:00with this, Like you said, I love to see how people are interacting
- 6:02with bo the show runner, how people are interacting with Chase calmly and really
- 6:06sitting there talking to people and like, you know, everyone I mean or
- 6:11shout out to everyone on the YouTube, you know, everybody on our Instagram,
- 6:14everybody on the twitters everyone. It's been a real appreciation for this and
- 6:18I'm really happy to see that. And it was like, I went on
- 6:21Reddit today, you know, trying to find out about this episode, you
- 6:24know, doing my research and stuff, and so I go to the spen
- 6:26ninety seven reddit and the top comment was hilarious. They're like, yo,
- 6:30man, basically, what is these niggas gonna miss? And that's what I'm
- 6:34like. There has been no misses, and it's just because and it's not
- 6:42the fatigue of too many superhero movies and content. If you felt, yeah,
- 6:49that too story you know, that's It's not the superhero. The fatigue
- 6:58is that storytelling. The fatigue is lack of wanting to create art and more
- 7:04about wanting to just throw something out there, right. The fatigue is not
- 7:09being imaginative, and that fatigue is content. People are tired of content,
- 7:15you know. People want art and don't realize it. And that's why I
- 7:18said the first time a long time, at least from the Marvel perspective,
- 7:21because like, yeah, we've seen some bright spots in the last few years,
- 7:25but I also felt like Marvel has been more down than up MS is
- 7:30apologizing for that. I've called you and I, but definitely me have called
- 7:34trash. Oh I called and day out. You know me, I don't
- 7:38call many things trash. I know I hated this passion door loving under sulty.
- 7:46It wasn't Sultan. It's still day that all that. To say,
- 7:48back to X Men ninety seven, this just just the rapid come together with
- 7:55everything we've been saying at the top of when we came in. Just this
- 7:59is just something that has been a big culture carrier as well, and you
- 8:03know, culture carrier from a fanom perspective, culture carrier from being seen as
- 8:07a person the color, the writers, the colors, the directors. Again,
- 8:09you mentioned Chase Conley, he actually directed this episode and just being able
- 8:16Boe even said that to you in a response into one of your tweets maybe
- 8:18last week or so, where he was just like thank you for seeing me,
- 8:22Like thank you for seeing what I'm trying to do here. And the
- 8:24fact that all of the things right, him being a person in the color,
- 8:30him being a queer person, like all this stuff, all of the
- 8:33things put together helped to create such like a blessed piece of work that everyone
- 8:39fucks with and it makes me extremely happy. I know, it's been making
- 8:43you happy, and this episode was fired, I mean to say the least.
- 8:52I don't know if you've really talked about this on the show that much,
- 8:56but Esmond was my gateway into comics, like that was my gateway into
- 9:01Marvel. I didn't I still didn't recommis that point, but I was was
- 9:05this is how I learned about Mutants and all the shit and got into that
- 9:09world. So I'm like a lifelong EDGMN fan and I've you know, and
- 9:15so to see it translated this beautifully and then to pay attention to everything that's
- 9:20gone before. And that's another thing I was glad both really did this week
- 9:24is they pointed out how they stayed on the shoulder of the giants because the
- 9:28original X Men ninety series is some of the best shit ever. And I
- 9:35was rewatching because both put out some episodes to watch before this, and I
- 9:39was talking to Taka before this, uh we started recording. One of the
- 9:43episodes that both said to watch is an episode called The Scent, and the
- 9:48Scent is the ninth episode of the fourth season when they only had ten episodes
- 9:54for that season, and then the tenth episode is the finale, like the
- 9:58show is done and the ten episode. So Dissent is an episode that takes
- 10:05place completely in the sixteen hundreds. None of the ds men are in it,
- 10:07and it's the origin of mister Sinister. So the audacity of these niggas
- 10:13back in the nineties when they were doing this show, when they knew the
- 10:16season was going to be canceled and this would be their last season, and
- 10:20they already they plotted out at the beginning of the season, just like every
- 10:22you know, other shows. So they're like, okay, tenth episodes,
- 10:26press sets, it goes off into space, we have a nice wrap up,
- 10:30but fucking in the ninth episode, we're just trying to do an origin
- 10:33of mister Sinister and not have any idiots. Haven't been to do with anybody.
- 10:37But just like the fucking audacity, and it's like great, like we're
- 10:41only getting to that episodes. Fuck it, fuck it, But that's what
- 10:43I'm saying to say. Fuck it, Like that took a lot of heart.
- 10:46So shout out to them, Shout out to their original showrunners, you
- 10:48know, the original creatives behind this. And of course, like we always
- 10:52say, shout out to Chris Claremont, shout out to Grant Morris, and
- 10:54shout out to Louise Simonson, shout out to Hitman, all the you know,
- 11:01killing all the greats who have put their stamp on X Men throughout the
- 11:05ages, because this show is taken from so many things. Like Bo was
- 11:11talking about his favorite issue of X Man, he didn't want to reveal it
- 11:13until this episode because his favorite issue of ed Mind is X Men number twenty
- 11:18five, which was part of the Fatal Attraps crossover, and that's when Magnito
- 11:22releases an a MP over the Earth and then eventually rips the admontanium out of
- 11:30Wolverine amnium right out of his fucking body. Yeah, right out of it,
- 11:35right. Uh, Admontonium you can but Adam, I'm going with Admontonium.
- 11:43Yeah, Adamantium. Yeah. I've had to say it both ways.
- 11:46Yeah, that's one of the ones that I grew up reading and no one
- 11:50was saying. You know, it's it's like that you have to come up
- 11:52with your own pronunciation. Listen. Remember I grew up with the cartoons,
- 11:58so yeah, editor cartoon they had Yeah, when I grew up, there
- 12:01was nobody was saying that ship. It was like, what, okay,
- 12:07that's the helium on the element table. I guess, yeah, on the
- 12:11wrong side. I knew vibranium because that you know, you see that,
- 12:16it's like, oh yeah, like Magneto was the one, like magnetto magneto,
- 12:22you know what the fuck like it's spelled magneto, nigga, Like this
- 12:26ship is mad it's a magnet you know, mad netto, but magnetic magneto
- 12:33there, that's not though. Let's go, let's go this episode. Okay,
- 12:39let's start from the beginning, literally the beginning. The fucking introl card.
- 12:43Guess who motherfucking king colonizer is fucking back and the goddamn intro card that
- 12:54ball headed bitch has returned. Also quit shout out this. This is something
- 13:00that has been in the intro card since the first episode, but only was
- 13:03really revealed this episode. Is the prime sentinels are all in the intro card,
- 13:09running in between the two teams of mutants when they're running at each other,
- 13:15and those humans have been in that since the nineties. There's always been
- 13:20a bunch of humans running up the middle, right, but they just now
- 13:22turned into the prime sentinels that we see in this episode. And it's those
- 13:28same cats that are the prime sentinels that have been running up the middle.
- 13:31It's crazy. It's like it's like five of them, right, and it's
- 13:33like a girl of the purple striped shirt. It's a guy that like Michael
- 13:35Jackson. It's the High Top Fay Nigga and some other people there. Like
- 13:39you said, literally each one of them. And when you told me that,
- 13:43I said, and I ran it back the actual I ran it back
- 13:45real quick on my phone. I said, holy shit, they're all there.
- 13:46I'll make that to make it worse. All these niggas have been in
- 13:52the series throughout this season, and I did not realize that they, like
- 13:56one of them was in the January sixth attack. I'm not sure who the
- 14:01rest are, but they've all January sixth attack. I mean, I'm calling
- 14:05it that, yeah, I mean. And then Bastian himself has been in
- 14:09every episode, both revealed but not figured out exactly where. Well, I
- 14:18wasn't on the episode when you all revealed this, I mean reviewed it,
- 14:20so I don't know if y'all talked about it, but he in that episode
- 14:22that I wasn't on. When Forge and Storm are both of his prib uh,
- 14:28there's a picture. Forge has a picture with Bash on the wall.
- 14:31Yes, I saw that blanked out and you can see him at the gallap
- 14:37before the attack. I definitely see him there. He's in the for the
- 14:41attack. He's like in the in the mix like when people were yeah smooth
- 14:52yeah. So that that ball haded bitch back and the title in the intro
- 15:00when Storm is not yet in there. My baby gambit is really gone.
- 15:07We know that. But I just again, I'm gonna lament his name.
- 15:11You kill my man, as as Rogue says. So you know, damn
- 15:18that man Leech is dead. God damn it. Put some respect on my
- 15:20man's name. I can't. God, Jesus price that nigga really did.
- 15:26Yeah, well, what do you want to go through first in terms of
- 15:31we need to talk about this Bash talk about okay? Right, of course,
- 15:37they reveal him to be the big boss behind all this Genosha genocide ship
- 15:43and that behind every day behind oz T be find everything. But particularly its
- 15:48just inn't just in the sequential order about Genosa genocide and about oz T and
- 15:54the greater to your point, the greater plan of bringing these sentinel primes out
- 15:58to rain hell on Earth on anything mutant related. Sinister's working with the Nigga
- 16:04and I could like Senator's not really fucking with Bashian, Like he's just going
- 16:10long because it's his means to end. He's just like he just wants niggas
- 16:12to experiment on, right, But Bashian got his own fucking plans that I
- 16:17don't think Senator is really on the level with, Like there's he doesn't really
- 16:23I don't know. It feels like Simson don't really want to be there,
- 16:26but he's just doing it. Just because there's a lot of shades throughout this
- 16:30episode and undroughout the season of the current Esmond's storyline with Cocoa and Orcus.
- 16:36And Orcus is the big organization that formed up after Cocoa announced itself, and
- 16:41Orchis was formed from remnants of Hydra Aim in the comics, Bastian's people.
- 16:49They're not Operation Zero Tolerance, but basically the Operation Zero Talks and a bunch
- 16:52of other things like the Sentinel program, and they all formed this new thing,
- 16:56Orchis to battle and so this has, you know, a lot of
- 17:00shades of that because in this episode we see doctor Doom, we see Baron
- 17:04Zimo, we see who bo is identified as the United nations, so we
- 17:08see a coalition having come together. And even things that Bashian was saying in
- 17:14this episode are things that the humans said to mutants, basically, like how
- 17:18long did you think we were gonna sit there and let you all flaun in
- 17:22front of us? Because in Kirkcoa era, the humans announced, I mean,
- 17:26the mutants announced themselves to the humans as you have new gods now,
- 17:30and then later on in the Kracoa era, the machines come about and are
- 17:36like, you said they had new god, but you didn't realize those really
- 17:38us. And that's the other thing that the Kurkoa era and Edgemen have always
- 17:45grappled with is there's this idea that there's humans, that humans will eventually be
- 17:51replaced by mutants, but humans will also eventually be replaced by machines, right,
- 17:56and machines will eventually try and replace humans and humans, right, And
- 18:02so that's what the error is about. And that's what you're when you talk
- 18:04about sinister. Sinister is just here trying to collect DNA. That's all right.
- 18:10This nigga is all the DNA he wants, all the powers. This
- 18:14nigga is Dexter's laboratory. That's all this nigga cares about. He don't,
- 18:18That's what I'm saying, Like, he don't. He ain't really fucking with
- 18:19him. He's just like, well, you know, maybe that will help
- 18:22me do my experiments in my laboratory. So val Val compares him to Mingle,
- 18:26the Nazi scientists, the angel of Death. Yeah, he's a bit
- 18:30more than more. He's an evil dexter Rick and Morty Rick, right,
- 18:37Rick Rick is the sen Yeah, Rick Rick is just missing, nigga.
- 18:42Rick is out of his mind. He's missing. He's out of his mind.
- 18:45He's not evil, out of your mind evil and not the same thing,
- 18:48nigga. This nigga destroyed a universe and then said fuck it and killed
- 18:53the Rick and Morty the universe. And he's not evil, Noga. The
- 19:00nigga intentionally replaced the Rick and Mordy of that universe and took over so he
- 19:03could start a new life. The nigga his mine. And he's selfish.
- 19:07He's selfish. He's selfish evil. I don't know all these things you're saying,
- 19:11like you know, it's like, no, not debatable. They are
- 19:15eupheisms for evil, that's right, So we can we get a cleaned up
- 19:22backstory for him, super cleaned up. I explained it on another episode,
- 19:26how Bash's batch story is ridiculous, involves Master Mold and a magic portal.
- 19:33Yeah, it's and from what I like I had last week. I was
- 19:37reading up about Bash and I was like, nigga, what like it just
- 19:40kept flipping and I'm like, is he this nigga? Is he not this
- 19:42nigga? Like it was the Nimron thing. It was all over the goddamn
- 19:47place. It's because there was, you know, one of the things versus
- 19:49two different riders. It's Chris Claremont with one idea, I'll put these niggas
- 19:53in the magic portal, and then Chris Claremont gets fired before they come out
- 19:57of the magic portal. So another nigga. What I'm saying, it's like,
- 20:00well fucking Bashian comes out of the magic port right, And I'm just
- 20:03I'm like, what, Like it wasn't I wasn't following for a while,
- 20:07but like I said, it was just all over the play. So I
- 20:08like you said the way they did it, hear nigga bashing clean his dad
- 20:12got affected with with I said, affected with them. I basically call it
- 20:17like a like a techno symbio type shit. I just that's the way that
- 20:19step sweater is splayed. On x N ninety seven, his dad gets infected
- 20:25with it. They have him and his mother, you know, they do
- 20:27their thing and bashing is born. A couple of things on that. First
- 20:32of all, I found it utterly hilarious that this little pink nigga was sitting
- 20:36in class and the rest of his fucking schoolmates for her calling him out for
- 20:38being a little pink nigga. That nigga's pink. He's not white, but
- 20:45the class I couldn't tell it was pink. I just saw the the you
- 20:51know, the the six thirteen hair. They show another kid next to him
- 20:55who's white, and this nigga's pink like so Bashi with pink is whole.
- 21:00The other part of that that is not nearly as hilarious to me, that
- 21:03it is really dope. Is another of these episodes that Bo recommended people watch
- 21:08before This three parter is a two parter from the original Edmond series called One
- 21:15Man's Worth And look, even if you've already started this, I recommend everyone
- 21:18go back and watch One Man's Worth. It is two of the best episodes
- 21:22of X Men ever. It equals anything they've done so far on this and
- 21:29it's one of the illest time travel stories and it's just fucking fire. But
- 21:33basically a spoiler alert, you know, it ends with bashed and being trapped
- 21:38kind of in the nineteen fifties. Yeah, and it's one of those dope
- 21:44things that Bo and them have taken where it's like a hanging thread and they
- 21:48went and picked that thread up and knitted a nice sweater out of it.
- 21:52Because it's like with the music, it's kind of like, yeah, it's
- 21:56kind of like also like where you know, it's like that what happens Sebastian
- 22:00and the Originals, I mean, Nimrod in the original series is left up
- 22:04in the air, right, it could be it he gets erased when they
- 22:07fix everything or could beat it. He's you know, somehow stood there and
- 22:11infects as human. Yeah. So, and also in this dispackstory of his
- 22:17they basically say like he is he is the prime of the Sentinel of prime
- 22:22sentinels, Like he is the living human sentinel hybrid descended from Masimo Nimrod and
- 22:27everything between. You know, he he's all of these things. So and
- 22:32then from him he begets a born or how do you say that? He
- 22:37not just creates like he he he breathes to life, he gets he begets
- 22:41the Prime Sentinels. Right, So humans deliberately affected with that same technovirus that
- 22:47that Cable said that he was infected with. I had to asked you about
- 22:49that techno virus, like how that even came about? And it has to
- 22:52be some semblance of Bashian's DNA or some shit that he's injecting into people,
- 22:56some shit like that. Yeah, that's who knows. In the comments,
- 23:00the techno organic virus has to do with this race of creatures who are a
- 23:04techno organic race, and that's where the character Warlock comes from. And the
- 23:10one that Cables, but the one that Cables infected with is once again some
- 23:14ship that apocalypse and I think the Sinister came together to do. And it
- 23:18was Sinister fucking with the DNA of that original techno organa virus and growing his
- 23:25own version of it, which they didn't infected the Babel cap Baby Baby Cable
- 23:29the Babel Yes, some takeaways about the Prime Takeaways Takeaways about the Prime Sentinels.
- 23:37They on some twenty eight days later ship them. Niggas was moving but
- 23:41still very much zombie, like you know, giving giving all that fucked up
- 23:47turn his own mom into a prime centeer. But that's on brand for him
- 23:51as well. Oh yeah, yeah, I mean she was like, I
- 23:56mean, I love how they say will play along when they rolled in there
- 23:59coming like first, this bit should be long dead, like she's still alive,
- 24:04Like this niggas a grown man, like you know your mom's done.
- 24:07Sorry, you know, like okay, I mean it's life man, you
- 24:12know it is that look like he's sixty bro, like you know, smooth,
- 24:17he looks a little bit seasoned. He does, yeah, very smooth.
- 24:21Yeah, what is this you mentioned about him? Teleporty? Oh,
- 24:26come on, nigga, this nigga is Yes, this nigga is teleports earlier
- 24:30in episode and then rolls up to the mansion in his phantom like you know,
- 24:34this nigga got an he got a stunt, got a son. His
- 24:38speech was amazing too. His speech was amazing, And once again shout out
- 24:45to the writing on this show because we talked about this last week. We
- 24:48talked about how people will say, oh my god, this is so timely.
- 24:52They're talking about things that are going on the path start. And I
- 24:55said this last week. It's not that it's timely, it's just timeless because
- 24:59trifling should always going on in this world, and apathy is always the thing.
- 25:03People see things like Jenosha every day and then they go back to their
- 25:07lives. I saw this ill quote from this trauma this week where a shout
- 25:11out to this trauma. It's called squire, I think it is. I
- 25:14got to start reading it. Okay. It's a fantastic quote where this character
- 25:18was talking about being in a war and it's like, when you're part of
- 25:22an empire that is ruling and you're chilling, that's being part of a war
- 25:26too. And I was like, fuck, look at me being part of
- 25:32this war as I sit here recording this podcast for tat DOWNA Like, you
- 25:36know, because I'm part of an empire, part sitting here chilling, we're
- 25:38part of it. Yeah, and so we're part of the war. And
- 25:41that's but that was the point, like we're all apathetic, you know,
- 25:44we all do what we can somedays. You know, we're talking about free
- 25:47Palestine for this. But we talked about this last week, like as much
- 25:51of the situation in the Congo hurts me. I really have no idea how
- 25:55to solve it because I'm sitting here using a computer, my phone is right
- 25:59next to me, using the rare earth minerals that are being that process by
- 26:03exploited labor and shit like that. Yeah, and it's just, you know,
- 26:07so we grow apathetic to all this drama. Like I saw Bill Maher
- 26:11too, but I saw him talking about this this week where he's like,
- 26:14oh, why are these changes complaining about this and not complaining about this and
- 26:17not complaining about this, And I was like, well, one Bill Maher,
- 26:18let me finished one Bill Maher because this because this is one time that
- 26:23they are peeping that this is a toxic whiteness ruling this country and people are
- 26:29mad and tired or toxic whiteness all the world. So they're not going to
- 26:32go after this African country country or this African country that you want to call
- 26:36out, because they're going after your white ass and that's why you're mad at
- 26:38it too. Yes, And I wanted to say also, I hate that
- 26:42I felt that that's a big miss number because it's like it's not true,
- 26:47Like you can also talk and care and think about more than one thing.
- 26:52At one time, like just because something as loud as doesn't mean the other
- 26:56things aren't loud. And it's because people our eyes are on Israel and then
- 27:02and this is also because and I want to make this point very clear,
- 27:04because we're talking about this on the show, it's because, as people pointed
- 27:08out, America supports Israel, and Israel is a test tase for fascism,
- 27:14and so America is now saying, Okay, if we can use these fascist
- 27:17tactics in Israel, we can use them here. And people are waking up
- 27:19and recognizing that fuck that shit, and so this is could be a very
- 27:26huge turning point. And I shout out to all these kids out there,
- 27:30everybody at these universities and everybody who's doing this shit, like yeah, I
- 27:33mean the utmost respect, because you know, it's just what they were talking
- 27:37about in this episode, like you can either be apathetic or you can do
- 27:41something, you know, And so shout out to people doing something, you
- 27:44know. Thank you. We're doing all we can on this show, just
- 27:47bringing awareness and talking about it. So thank you. Everybody got to do
- 27:51their part and fight this as much as we can. M H. Speaking
- 27:56of fighting, Yeah, the fucking happening here. The girls are fighting.
- 28:03I wanted I wanted to go into Woverin and Nightcrawler. M U. I
- 28:08do want to shout out d one last thing, shout out to our YouTubers
- 28:15and shout out to I'm the Stein, who is one of our most prolific
- 28:19commentations. Yeah, they even said, I'm sorry for taking over your It's
- 28:23okay, you have you have points, right, yeah, you have actual
- 28:29notes. Please keep going. And they made this point about the whole purple
- 28:33Purple people eater so on last week, and they called it that nim that
- 28:37bashan was probably formed by the Nimrod who was left behind in nineteen fifty eight.
- 28:42So I want to shout y'all out for you know, making that call
- 28:45last week, because I when they when they said that, I hadn't rewatched
- 28:48One Man's Worth yet. But when they said that, I was like,
- 28:51oh, that's probably right because that, you know, made sense, and
- 28:53I was like ooh. And then when I watched One Man's Worth, I
- 28:56was like, it's daven A fucking got it. They called that one.
- 29:00So shout you out right there love it also. But before we move on
- 29:03from them, we did we we did mention Doctor Doom and all that.
- 29:06But that shit was crazy. No, I thought we would get to it.
- 29:08I mean, but that's we talked about Bash. You know, we
- 29:12gotta talk about you know, this niggas coalition like this trigger got Doctor Doom
- 29:18and Doctor and Doctor Doom complaining about this nigga's war crimes but still going along
- 29:23with it. Was a hilarious Yeah. He was like, I'm just let
- 29:26you know, I'm not complicit with your war crime, but you know,
- 29:29I still fuck with you. That's some of Kendrick shit. I like your
- 29:33dance and music. I don't like when you want to try to be a
- 29:36fake thug. Stick to the melodies, niggas, to the melodies, that's
- 29:41what Doom saying. He says, say to the melodies, niggas, but
- 29:45you get a little fluggish over here. And there's also Baron Demo is also
- 29:49part of it. Who people know from Winter Soldier. This is a different
- 29:52version of Baron zo. I know this version of this is from the cartoons
- 29:56too. This is from the cartoons in the comic book. This is the
- 29:59more not his version. Yeah, you know, this is not the this
- 30:07is not the one dancer at the club. And this is the one you
- 30:11do, not the one said number one that says, you know, it
- 30:15showcases the African American experience. You know, he said that ship. Yeah,
- 30:18this this one, this one doesn't give a fuck about the African American
- 30:22experiences. Like nigga shut up, but you're not wanting to take that mask
- 30:26off. It's him and that in that room of like the evil Legion of
- 30:30Doom type ship, like you also got the u n in there are the
- 30:33humans, you know, the people who's on that side. You know,
- 30:36in some ways, you know, Valley Coopers is always complicit, but she
- 30:41also says, well, I know you was doing that whole you knows the
- 30:42genocide ship. I wasn't on for that. But you know, she's still
- 30:45also complicit and part of like she knew there was something she knew about Bashing,
- 30:49and she knew the plan the whole is o z T thing. But
- 30:52it's like she didn't, which confuses the funk out of me. How the
- 30:56fuck you ain't know this ship? It sounds up really for me. That's
- 31:02what I go with Valves. She was like, I didn't know and you
- 31:03wouldn't tell me, and Bash it was like, you know, just a
- 31:07little point that I forgot to tell you. But I'm just like, sounds
- 31:11like most white people are, honestly, I mean not most. That's wrong,
- 31:14you know, Valve sounds like most race most. I don't want to
- 31:17say liberals because I hate when people call out liberals because it's like they're at
- 31:19least better better than conservatives. But at the same time, I'm not down
- 31:23for any of that ship. I'm down for revolution and all. That's just
- 31:26part of the wheel. So yeah, it's when you know what I'm saying
- 31:30liberals. People were like, oh, you know, I didn't know to
- 31:32be like this. You know, I didn't know racism like I know you,
- 31:37I don't know slavery was like this, that's what it sounds like.
- 31:38And I get the fuck out slavery nigga, Like, yeah, besides this,
- 31:45you know I hate slavery. I hate slavery because you want to do
- 31:56you want to mention the other cameos or do you want to leave that relater?
- 31:59This is through right now? We see we see William Striker's ass on
- 32:05Fox News on the on the TV, we get to see a polaris.
- 32:10I mean, some people might not know who I don't. We was all
- 32:16to get here together. You the teacher, go ahead. Tell you about
- 32:20who William Striker is. Well, William Striker appeared in the movies in X
- 32:23two. He's one of the main villains of X two. Wolverine chained him
- 32:28up to the Blackbird bad version of William Striker. I like. I like
- 32:34the actor. I like the actor, the character. I'm just like,
- 32:38whatever, continue, I like this. You know it's great actor. But
- 32:43anyway, and but William Striker is also known from the comments for being in
- 32:47one of the greatest Edmond stories of all time, God Loves Man Kills and
- 32:53that. In that he is a preacher who basically preaches against He's like a
- 33:00Joel Olstein who hates mutants and he's on that. He's on that preaching tip
- 33:04because like I said, he on like a Fox News and analogous. But
- 33:07he's he's basically like and these mom you know these you know and and words,
- 33:12these deis out here is doing this and that you know these challengers.
- 33:17Yes, William Striker important important character. You know cameo in the background,
- 33:23U polaris uh when when they're doing Bashian's backstory and Cable Cable's doing telling this.
- 33:31No, he's actually doing the story of the Utopia quote that Bashian has
- 33:37brought on and explaining how basically mutant kind was enslaved to build out Utopia.
- 33:42And you do see like a menagerie of different mutants doing manual labor and different
- 33:49tasks, and you see at one point it is outside and out of space
- 33:52over the Earth. You see Polaris there, Ben, I mean, who
- 33:54is Polaris? Uh? In some stories she's Magneto's daughter, and other stories
- 33:59she's random mute with magnetic powers. I think as of now she is Magnito's
- 34:05daughter and looked like magnets. To me, it looked like magnetic Oh,
- 34:08she always has magnetic powers, but like sometimes she's Magnito's daughter, and then
- 34:13sometimes she's not. I think right now she is again, and at least
- 34:16she's claiming it. In the latest sedgment, Thomas, she's definitely claiming to
- 34:21be Madnito's daughter. She's been going ham to shout out to Polaris. I
- 34:23love her and shout out to her and Havoc are one of my favorite couples,
- 34:28and comments I don't be there together anymore. Volaris Polaris. I'm not
- 34:32sure. That's another one. Sounds. I've been reading that one since I
- 34:37was like seven years old. Man, what the fuck that a seven year
- 34:38old know about a polaris? We also we also see Rachel Summers. You
- 34:45see a mute and that's putting back shout out to building the Golden gate Bridge
- 34:47and doing whatever the fuck. Uh, let's talk about Rachel Summer. Summers
- 34:52should give you guys a clue that the last name pretty pretty big clue there.
- 34:55Oh yeah, I love me some Rachel Summers, and she's going to
- 34:59be very important. I think we're gonna see her again before this series is
- 35:02over, because I think Cable is shouting her out in this episode as well.
- 35:06When he says a rebel who allowed me to travel back to this point
- 35:10sent me back here, I think that is Rachel Summers. Rachel Summers long
- 35:15story short is the daughter of Cyclops and Jean Gray, if Jean Gray had
- 35:22survived and not become the Phoenix, so kind of from an alternate timeline,
- 35:28but once like once again, like with Bastion's weird bad story in the comics,
- 35:32I think they're going to clean it up for this, so basically just
- 35:37not that she's Table's half sister. Yeah, and you may not even hear
- 35:40from from her. She was just she was in a phone. You're going
- 35:43to hear from her, like no, like I said, because she's the
- 35:46one who sent him back, and because Rachel's tied into the Phoenix, and
- 35:52because of that, we're definitely building towards the Phoenix appearing in this you know
- 35:57at some point. So and I was trying to out like flash forward because
- 36:00it's like visions of what time who knows in the comments, Rachel comes back
- 36:06to the present and she's in the present for most of her life. And
- 36:08the black lines that you see on her face in the future in that flash
- 36:13forward are because she's part of the Hound program, which is a program where
- 36:16they hunt other mutants. So Rachel has a really dark, bad story where
- 36:21she's like hates herself because she, you know, grew up like basically me
- 36:24and a coon. I mean she's a cop. Yeah, she was a
- 36:28cop. Not even a coon cop, she was a cop. You know.
- 36:31I love me some Rachel Summer, So so I'm really hoping we can
- 36:35to see her again. She's a great character. We also see I was
- 36:37really excited about this one Spider Man, like the nineties version, and you
- 36:42see him looking at the It's so funny that like also, like I know,
- 36:46Bow knows they'd be funny, but sometimes they are inavertently funny. Like
- 36:50yes, when the Sky was like doing the ship and then Swerman looked at
- 36:52the camera like the fuck you know, you know his eyes went up like
- 36:55I was just like, all right, great this We also and during that,
- 37:00during that whole reaction shot, there's some other cameos. We also see
- 37:02Omega Red in Russia reaction. Omega Red is a character. He's a Wolverine
- 37:08villain. He was also an original X Men series. He's hearing them like,
- 37:13hell yeah, he appeared in like five different episodes. Did he appear
- 37:15in them or then my mix him with somebody else in fuck the Black Widow
- 37:22movies. No, no, Omega Red has not been in the In the
- 37:28Joint Ship, I don't need to keep it. In the Fox joint Ship,
- 37:31they stipped over Omega Yeah. I think I think he got cut from
- 37:37one of them. I'd have to google that, but I think he was
- 37:39actually supposed to be in one and then he gets cut and Omega Red is
- 37:43dope. I don't know, Yeah, but he getting his pump now he's
- 37:46gonna be there, dope. Yeah, and he gonna be there for the
- 37:50Marvel version. They're gonna bring him out. And we also see Silver Samurai,
- 37:53another Wolverine villain who is a friend the enemy of Wolverine as well,
- 37:59and he's the Silver Samurai that you see in Japan. Yeah, I saw
- 38:02the Silver Samurai. Yeah you just I was like, what, Yeah,
- 38:06his name is the Silver Samurai. So he's related to one of Wolverine's great
- 38:12loves, Marico. Ah, yes, we know that, the Nerico story.
- 38:15Oh god, another tragic, tragic story. Nigga, that's like I
- 38:20posted that issue that when I was talking about my favorite issues, like that
- 38:23was one of the first issues that Intimate I ever read. And it ends
- 38:27with Wolverine being told by Marico that he's not worthy of love her love,
- 38:32and the nigga had the single tear it out of his face. They killing
- 38:37me with this single tail brow. That shit killed me, And it was
- 38:39like one of my first issues of Infants. I was like, what the
- 38:42fuck? He goes through all this shit in the issue, you know,
- 38:45like not even to prove himself to her, but just going through shit and
- 38:49then there meets him at the Altar you know, all the's men have
- 38:52flown to Japan for this wedding, walks up to the altar. He's standing
- 38:55at the altar waiting for her. She walks up in her whole outfit.
- 39:00It's like, there will be no wedding today. Said what because you're not
- 39:04worthy and wants out in the issue and I'm like, what the what is
- 39:07this? I'm reading one? You know, like I thought this was a
- 39:10superhero story. Why is this nigga crying at the end? And why is
- 39:14he trying to get married to this Japanese woman? All these questions. I
- 39:20love that ship. It's the greatest ever. Oh my god, them that's
- 39:25what we're here? Is that all? Is that? All? Is that
- 39:29all? One? Mold cameo? But I think that's it the Spider Man,
- 39:34uh so Samurai and the other nigger reacting and that's it, right,
- 39:39Yeah, that's it. Uh Then we get to Wolverine and night Crawler.
- 39:44Okay, because I'm talking about fighting and again like the best and the best
- 39:51for me. And yes, it was live action, so it was a
- 39:52little different. But the best expression of Nightcallers powers I've ever seen has to
- 39:58be was it X Men one or two? When with the with the White
- 40:01House scene like that, I ain't never seen no shit like that in my
- 40:04life. And honestly, I've never seen shit done that well for that character
- 40:07since and ever again, and you know, and then and then this show
- 40:15comes along and it's it gives me the remnants. It gave me remnants of
- 40:19that feeling of okay, you got you got people fucking forget just how cold
- 40:23Night Crawler is, like the Nigga is Letho assassin like on some other fucking
- 40:31level. And then for him to be coming out like you know, with
- 40:35the three swords, you know, talking about this three more room like that
- 40:37ship was fantastic, fantastic. Oh man, Yeah, Kurt Wagner's just Kurt
- 40:46Wagner. I love, go ahead, go ahead, say what you yeah,
- 40:51just like his speedchs to Gen Gray when he was talking to Gene in
- 40:54this episode. Yes, he's an orator like And that's the other thing,
- 40:59like the writing, the writing for the characters is such so impeccable. And
- 41:04also the characters that talk, there are the talkers. They be saying that
- 41:07ship and that's what I'm saying, Like certain chatters that don't talk much or
- 41:13just got real pointed things to say and keep it pushing, like wolvering true
- 41:16to character. He may say some he'd be on his drink sometimes saying some
- 41:21troll shit. Sometimes he'd be saying, you know, it's like the waves
- 41:23he talks are estimation points right, nig nigga morph being a caddy bitch Deadpool
- 41:31right, like Caddy Deadpool ass bitch. He'd be saying that ship he'd be.
- 41:36He's saying fourth Wall type shit too. That said another dystopia where the
- 41:42last survived and he's and he's always on point and funny about it. That's
- 41:47great Night Crawler. His dialogue, it is fucking symphonies. Symphonies like Yeah,
- 41:58that's why I don't want to make this point, because it's like that's
- 42:00something we talked about before and fall Nerds for years now, is that cannon
- 42:05doesn't matter nearly as much as characterization, Like this is creating its own cannon,
- 42:13you know, it's Men ninety seven is its own cannon within the whole
- 42:16animated universe. It's not the comics, it's not the movies. Who gives
- 42:21a shit? You know, realize by now none of this shit matters.
- 42:24They open up the multiverse. Everything and nothing is true. But beyond even
- 42:30that, it's like, if you just tell the stories and get the characters
- 42:35right, that's all the matters. You don't have to have perfect cannon,
- 42:39as long as you're getting the characters right and getting and being true to the
- 42:45just the feeling, the themes, the moods of it, and bo and
- 42:51team are just like, you know, carrying them torches in a way that
- 42:57I just ain't seen. No, you know, it's fucking crazy. Out
- 43:00to Chase Conley, one of the directors, I think they actually directed this
- 43:04episode. I think that one of the directors, like pretty much every episode,
- 43:06are like worked on every episode obviously, and they were talking about how
- 43:09when they were storyboarding that shot of Nightcrawler showing you what it's like for Wolverine
- 43:15to be teleported by Nightcrawler, no one had ever done that, and I
- 43:19don't even know if they've done that in the comics that like that, you
- 43:22know, And it's also comments and animation are different where it's you know,
- 43:25the live action movement of it will always be different. And that was just
- 43:30like I'm sitting there watching that and the first time when I first wrought out
- 43:32what the fuck is it. What was that? And then I rewind.
- 43:36I'm like, oh, ship, they're showing and Wolverine's arms are stretching out
- 43:40and night Callers pulling him through it, and I forward like, yeah,
- 43:50because he's going through you know, he hops through time and space. Yeah,
- 43:54and he goes to another dimension and that's established in the comics that he's
- 43:58in and for that time while he's baffing through, so he's pulling him through
- 44:02that dimension and we see the whole thing in that com that shit went so
- 44:07hard, and like also it speaks to the direction and the animation as well,
- 44:09like the animation team is sick, like sick. And just one comment
- 44:14I want to make, because you use the term that again something that you
- 44:17and I had talked about that is just yes, really, there is no
- 44:21such thing as perfect cannon. There could be the concept of a prime version
- 44:27of a character, meaning maybe the first time they or the most common version
- 44:32of the story for a character, but especially with X Men, I mean
- 44:37with every character in MCU, but especially with X Men, all of the
- 44:42stories are to understand there is no one way. Yes, there's a core
- 44:45essence depending on the character, but there's no one way to tell that story.
- 44:49It's are you telling a good story? Right? Are you telling?
- 44:52Are you you know you may not change it. You could tell like when
- 44:55you change the core instances of the character. And I'm not talking about whether
- 44:58they're black or white, none of that. I'm talking about what makes them
- 45:00them, what makes them tick you. That may stay the same, but
- 45:06the means to how they get from point A to point B may change completely
- 45:09and you can still tell a very compelling, viable story from that. And
- 45:14that's why that idea of like, oh, that's not cannons that I just
- 45:16we gotta we gotta move on from that, like that that shit is so
- 45:20tired. And it's also that there's multiple cannons and that's far than dandy,
- 45:24and that's what people who need to you know, except to it. It
- 45:27doesn't always have to be the same every time, Like the comments do have
- 45:30a cannon. Like there's been a long story that's been going on and spend
- 45:35for the longest and it hasn't pretty much changed. Like you know, there's
- 45:37variations on like reck cons and stuff like that, but the basic idea of
- 45:42you know, what's happened through the mutants throughout you know, the time since
- 45:45first Vermontic they're writing to now has been the same thing, and so that
- 45:51is important. You know, you don't want to like even now Like in
- 45:52a recent es Men comments fucking see, it's more about character than anything costs.
- 45:59In a recent es Meen, Thomas has been running around killing people left
- 46:00to right, and people are like, what the fuck? This ain't Colossus,
- 46:04This is bad writing. This ain't true to his character. And it's
- 46:07not like he was forced to this point. He just sunny killing niggas because
- 46:09it's like, you know, they're in in this for co air, long
- 46:13story, short, whatever. But it's not true to his character, and
- 46:15that's what matters. It's not about the actual cannon. It's about the character.
- 46:20And that's you know what this show's didn't right and what they're not getting
- 46:23right over there in the commerce right now, okay uh and then and then
- 46:27overall like Wolverine, I called that, they're fighting hard. Like I love
- 46:30seeing wolf wolf Wolf be. He love when he was flying through the goddamn
- 46:36air and just slashing through the prime Suss is like fucking butter Like for him
- 46:40to just be like just full fucking force, like a you know what do
- 46:45they call that terminal velocity type speed when you're just falling dead ass out the
- 46:49sky. Like that's what it's crazy that I don't care. Y'all will never
- 46:53make me hate Wolverine. Y'all will never make me call him a simp or
- 46:57nothing like that. I love that nigga like a there's nobody liked that nigga.
- 47:00Like for me, it's quite simplish, but you know, it's like
- 47:05and there are two things to be true, you know what I mean?
- 47:07You can love him and he can still be a simp like your your hatium
- 47:09of the Simps is the problem. It's not that they you know, because
- 47:13simps, they're not raised simps one, they're just you know where, which
- 47:17brings me to Yeah, Hot Summers, we'll reading the Monster, which brings
- 47:23me to Scott Summers the Square. Now that being said, I did enjoy
- 47:28him in this episode. I didn't enjoy his I didn't enjoy them this episode.
- 47:30Yes, his power set, especially in this show, in this ninety
- 47:34seven series. It just that ship is on point. Another one of my
- 47:44favorite s men issues Like it's funny a lot of people's favorites, I mean,
- 47:47some of my more favorites are recent. You know some of my recent
- 47:52our favorites well, but it's always the first one you read and one of
- 47:54the first MN comments also bread with when Scott was first romance scene Madeline,
- 48:00right, and they're off for a weekend together and she doesn't know he's a
- 48:05mutant, and at one point she tries to take his glasses off and he
- 48:08bugs out. She's like, yo, what the fuck, niggat, you
- 48:10always got these fucking glasses, the one you know, I mean, he
- 48:15bugs out on her, you know. So she's about ready to leave,
- 48:17you know, they're about to break up, and you know, he apologizes
- 48:20and stuff, and the nigga takes this quarter out of his pocket and he's
- 48:23like, I gotta show you something, and he flips the shit up in
- 48:25the air and points it up for a second and sap punches a hole through
- 48:30that fucking quarter, you know, and then lands and he shows it to
- 48:34her and he's like, you know, if I take these shoes off,
- 48:37I can blow a hole to a mountain, you know, And so yeah,
- 48:42and then she's like, you know, and they you know, she
- 48:45gets it and they fall in love, and you know it was suposed to
- 48:47be happy ever after, but we see how that went. But it was
- 48:51just you know, that's what I mean. That's like, that's why I
- 48:53love Scott so much, because he like you, Like we were talking about
- 48:57this before the shows. Well, he's a square because he had as to
- 49:00keep it in. He sees people like Wolverine and he knows he could blast
- 49:05him out of the world, you know, and wolver is over hitting on
- 49:07his girl and he can't really show his girl how he really feels about her.
- 49:10He can't ever really show his emotions at all because his emotions are so
- 49:16tied into his power and he can't ever lose control because one slip up,
- 49:22you know, he wipes the mansion off the planet and all the X Men
- 49:25with it, you know, the planet. I mean, that's how level
- 49:31God damn. I mean, Omega means that there's no one that there's no
- 49:37top in your power set. So there might there's there's no limit, there's
- 49:40no no limit to your yes, and there he can run out of energy,
- 49:46but it's all don't still be limitless, like but he's not. But
- 49:52consider I'm saying, and I know we're just getting into like technicalities now,
- 49:55but he's got really close with him. It's like, well, you're not
- 50:00amazing. It's really really strong. You don't you don't want to get on
- 50:07his bad side. It's like we were talking about the Euphoria record before the
- 50:10show as well. Like I said, it's not Ether level, but it
- 50:14hurts like Ethan's a knockout punch and this is one that'll have you on.
- 50:23You know an ain't count you know something. You know the reference don't let
- 50:30you keep fighting, but you know you should have sent your ass home.
- 50:35Yeah, well I did. I did enjoy Scott this episode, and I
- 50:38thought it was real cute seeing the Summer's family somewhat reunited fighting alongside in the
- 50:45Porsche of all things. Uh, it's just subtlet He's like we talked about
- 50:51it before when Rogue and Gambit were on the Bites and Gambit just starts smiling
- 50:55when road flies up, when that nigga is like you gotta Porsche, and
- 50:59Stoph like he's likes me. What you think I got to? And that's
- 51:07something I think Warren Ellison's writer once said that, you know, he's the
- 51:10Marvel's batman, And that's another reason why I love Scott because he's always prepared.
- 51:15He's a boy scout like you called because boy scouts model. I'm a
- 51:19boy scout myself. Be prepared. And that's Scott always. Like in the
- 51:24Hitman Run, he one of the data pages was from one of his books
- 51:30that he's put together for the X Men on how to defeat all their enemies,
- 51:35and it's like it was for it was for fighting kaiju this page,
- 51:38and he had references about like if you can't recognize the kaiju and you think
- 51:42this is a sentinel, you need to quit and hand your command over this
- 51:47bad you know. I thought it's funny when Wolverine was just like when when
- 51:54Scott was doing his you know, I'm the father. The thing is Wolverine
- 51:58was like, you know, he was a like Daddy's home. I was
- 52:01fucking crying, like I'm saying, I fucking with Marine. You can't,
- 52:06I can't. I love it. I love That's how mean this show gets
- 52:09all these characters and he gets their interaction, and he gets that this is
- 52:13a huge soap opera, you know, and that's what makes the s mend
- 52:16so great. And then yeah, let's show these toasters why you don't screw
- 52:22with the Summers. I was just like such a square, but it's so
- 52:24cute too, but it's so hard, like that's my man right there.
- 52:30Yeah, gotta love it. Oh my nigga, you know, let me
- 52:37jump to Gene Jeene, Okay, cause Jeane has some reconciliations herself this episode
- 52:42as well, Like she really starts feeling like, you know, because she's
- 52:45obviously not angry, well at least outardly angry anymore about the whole Madeline Scott
- 52:51thing, you know, because and she understands the comedy and my thing.
- 52:53She understood, like you know, you're just talking out of your emotions and
- 52:57your anger, you'd be saying some things, but she understands the complications of
- 53:00what went down. She even explains that to Scott. And she also talks
- 53:05about how she feels a way about really missing out on connecting with Madeline,
- 53:10like Madeleine's like there's no one like Jean Gray to that level, like me,
- 53:15except for her own clone, her own fucking clone slash sister wife,
- 53:20met a mistress whatever you want to call her, like her speaking about her
- 53:23misychic connection with Madeline and the fact that you know, because of her not
- 53:30knowing, and also like you know, once she did know, like she
- 53:32just didn't want to be a part of that. But then like how complex
- 53:36that is because then knowing that you have this person's because they are a part
- 53:38of you or you are a part of them, and all this weird shit
- 53:42that goes along with it. You got their memories and they got your memories,
- 53:45and you don't know where one end and the other one begins. And
- 53:47then being psychic, that shit, that shit just makes it really difficult to
- 53:52decipher. And she says, decipher truth, and also decipher your own being
- 53:58right, your own antis being. At the end of the day, you're
- 54:00a one and the same. And about memory, you know, all that
- 54:07it was so real. That's with Nightcrawlers saying, you know, memories or
- 54:10just you know what he said, echoes of and she was right, and
- 54:15she was having that conversation. She was just saying, you know, how
- 54:16to you know, I don't even know if this is real, like that
- 54:20I didn't give birth to him. And he was like, it don't matter
- 54:22the fact that you had that feeling, you felt it, you had that
- 54:25emotion. That's what's most important. That's what's tangible, and that's what's real
- 54:29about it, regardless of whether or not you know that was you. You
- 54:31you had the real you know what I mean. And then of course they
- 54:35cut to like cable right after he says that, so I was like,
- 54:37again, direction, fantastic. And then also, you know that was sad
- 54:42when she when she caught herself before she said it. That's why Maddenloe was
- 54:45happy when she died because you know, seeing her son, and I was
- 54:50just like, fuck, man, yeah, I told you that. Like,
- 54:52you know, I look like I said, Stott and Jean. That's
- 54:55what I grew up on, you know, Stratt and Jean and Night and
- 54:59then Stratten Matter because that's when I first started reading. It was stry of
- 55:01Matter and that's why that moment, you know, it was always that moment
- 55:05to me when he punched out a hole through that quarter, because I was
- 55:07like, oh shit. And then you know, and then I didn't know
- 55:09about all the whole you know, Phoenix and all that stuff. So I'm
- 55:13learning as I'm reading. And then him and Maddening and get married and like
- 55:16one of the third issues I read, I think that was like one of
- 55:20the thirty shoes I read. I was like, Okay, that's cool,
- 55:21great, you know this nigga God is woman. You know, I love
- 55:23these two together and then you know it all with the ship and everything,
- 55:27so they've always been you know, that's just some of my favorite characters.
- 55:30And I love this story and this is just doing it so beautifully. Man.
- 55:34It's like it's really given so much like props and grace to Jean and
- 55:37Scott that I feel like they don't get a lot of recently. So it's
- 55:42it's great. Yeah. Man, who who is having a good run as
- 55:47well right now? Beast? I mean he's trying, He's trying his best.
- 55:55I do love that in this episode where you get to see the original
- 55:59it spent in a portrait and you get to see Beast not being blue because
- 56:04for those who don't know, that's not really part of his mute inability.
- 56:07He's not naturally blue like that. It was an accident. Yeah, it
- 56:10comes from him experimenting on himself, trying to take away and they touched upon
- 56:15that in the Fox film. Yeah, yeah, turned blue in there.
- 56:19Yeah, him experiments in to try to get you know, do to stop
- 56:22the powers or whatever. He was trying to fucking do with the experiments and
- 56:25ended up turn into you know, but what he said, the blue rogain
- 56:30ads, that's what that's what Woverene calls him. I was laughing out loud
- 56:36when right away Tris came to the room and he was clearly not fucking with
- 56:39the bitch. Still he's still mad at her, and I like that continuity.
- 56:43I don't fuck with you using my family to take your journalism, you
- 56:46know, do your journalist to get your poloster or whatever. And you know
- 56:51she comes in. They still haven't really you know, come to terms on
- 56:53that. He was like, oh, you're here with your cameras again.
- 56:54What you want, bitch? Like I was like, thank you, bitch,
- 56:59thank you be speech ate it. Oh man, I straight called her
- 57:01a bitch last episode, and he called her a bit and he called her
- 57:05a bitch again. Basically I felt that, I mean, I was trolling
- 57:09her, trifling trish, you know every day in this episode on she's you
- 57:14know, I felt bad that she got turned into a prime sentinel, but
- 57:16you know so and that's another thing, these prime sentinels, this is these
- 57:21actual people's Like it's not a copy of the person. So like once you
- 57:23were turning in, I don't know if there's a maybe there's a way to
- 57:27get reversed but that's oh, so that's it. So you want you were
- 57:30you Prime Center period? I think so. I don't think this show don't
- 57:34go with the light, you know, oh let's turn it back into humans.
- 57:36No, I think that ship like once she was zombie, you was
- 57:38on you a zombie. Yeah, I think that's coming back. It ain't
- 57:40no coming back. This show seems to me playing a lot like could the
- 57:45you know, the comments will do a lot of that. You know,
- 57:46people will get techno organ and virus and then you know they're they're cre This
- 57:52show don't seem to be playing that ship. This show seems to be like,
- 57:55no, niggas just catching it. And didn't both say something about that,
- 57:59like you know, he just thinks you know, did you or Bo
- 58:01say something about that where he was like, no, we can't have it,
- 58:05like where there's like a magical cure that solves everything, like I've said
- 58:08that, and then they Bo was talking about how that there won't be a
- 58:12time travel cure. Yeah, that's what it was, right, he was
- 58:14talking about time travel, And I think that's his old overall sentiment like no,
- 58:16there's things are they're gonna have fucking bad things are gonna happen, and
- 58:20it's not gonna get cured to it. It's like, yeah, deal with
- 58:22it. And my thing is, if you read any type of X Men
- 58:25comic book, bad things happen to them. Niggas on a regular fucking basis.
- 58:30Niggas die every day, be literally, but they do use a lot
- 58:34of time travel to get out of shop. Yes, so, and even
- 58:37when they don't because it's a new writer to just come back like nothing fucking
- 58:40happens. Yeah, and then I mean are notorious for coming back to life.
- 58:44So that's right, like like nothing happened. It's just like none of
- 58:45that. Okay, they died over it, but you know this person is
- 58:47just walking around, you know, chucky cheese or whatever right now. So
- 58:51I don't know what else would beasts. Oh, I love this. What
- 58:55you thought could have been like a shout out slash eased the egg. But
- 59:00you asked you actually asked Bolden Mayo about this, and oh the coffee shit
- 59:06now he said, no, this is just a coincidence. Let's talk about
- 59:08that real quick, Yeah, real quick. Trish brings in Kate's coffee for
- 59:13Beasts, which was when I was rewatching it. I'm like, hold the
- 59:15fuck up, because there's a new Edgmond series that is coming out in the
- 59:21post Krocoa era that's trying to be written by Eve in shout out to Eve,
- 59:25and it's trying to feature Catherine Pride Kitty Pride. To y'all, shadow
- 59:31Cat also known as Kate Pride absent, you haven't been going by Kate recently
- 59:36in the Corocoa era and in this new series, after Cocoa winds down,
- 59:39after all this shit she's been through, all these years of Kircoa, She's
- 59:44like, fuck that, I just want to chill and be a barista and
- 59:46run a coffee shop. So when I see this, I'm like, Yo,
- 59:51is that some kind of crazy shout out? Because that's actually what happened
- 59:54long story short with the original series and the comments back in the day when
- 1:00:00they did that One Man's Worth episode that we talked about before. The writers
- 1:00:04of the One Man's worsth episode sent the script over to Marvel before the animation
- 1:00:08gets produced. Before the episode gets produced, the writers at Marvel that's been
- 1:00:13writers read the script are like, Yo, this is a fantastic, fucking
- 1:00:15crazy idea. Profess has just chilled and all the shit changes that's ill.
- 1:00:20Let's do a whole Age of Apocalypse storyline based off of this. So Age
- 1:00:24of Apocalypse actually comes out in February that year, and One Man's Worth doesn't
- 1:00:29even debut until September of that year because of how long animation takes. So
- 1:00:37you know, if you were watching the if you're reading the book, you'll
- 1:00:39think that One Man's Worth was biting off of Age of Apocalypse when it's absolutely
- 1:00:44the opposite. Age of Apocalypse was inspired by One's Man's Worth. So I'm
- 1:00:49thinking that's what happened here. He'd got an early script from Eve and was
- 1:00:52like, Yo, let me shout her out. But yeah, but it
- 1:00:54was like nigga, no, yeah, and then I mean and it was
- 1:00:58like it was literally lie, Like right before we started, he tweeted as
- 1:01:01bo and yo and said, no, that's a coincidence. So I was
- 1:01:07like, all right, but that means crazy. But like again, like
- 1:01:12when that shot of like right before Trius turns into a Prime Center, they
- 1:01:16put the coffee cup down the camera lingers on the car, and I realized
- 1:01:21that's just just to say why she put the cup down like that, like
- 1:01:22they wanted you to draw your attention but I'm like, why you linger on
- 1:01:25the cup so much? Like, yes, I could be reading too much
- 1:01:29into it, but I'm like, dude, don't just do direction like that
- 1:01:31for no reason. So I don't know, I don't know, but it
- 1:01:35was. It seems to just be a wow coincidence, and I just think
- 1:01:37that's crazy. So shout out to Eve you and make sure y'all pick up
- 1:01:40her new Edgmond book. And I'm really interested in that one. Yeah,
- 1:01:44And towards our point earlier when we were talking about you know, cannon and
- 1:01:47why it doesn't matter and all the other stuff, like we we we thought
- 1:01:53we were looking for the name of this. But during after bashing is like
- 1:01:58talking about how he keeps trying to he who knows how many times he went
- 1:02:01back, excuse me, Cable went back. Who knows how many times Cable
- 1:02:05went back to try to change what happened at Genosha every time he gets that
- 1:02:09body slide back to to whatever period he came from. And then funny enough,
- 1:02:15Beast goes b starts his thought with strange that he goes The mystics of
- 1:02:20carmouitage speak of absolute points, right points that across that happen across all timelines,
- 1:02:25and one obviously allusion to doctor Strange. You know recent MCU films,
- 1:02:30What if Lowkey even the Spider Verse were ready to talk about these absolute points
- 1:02:35where allegedly points that you cannot change in the timeline, that they must occur
- 1:02:38the same way every time, no matter what, which we also find out
- 1:02:44may actually be bullshit, right, particularly when you're talking about Spider Verse and
- 1:02:47the whole Miguel situation. Yeah, and Spider Verse, it's been funny because
- 1:02:52now it's spend like this whole thing where fan people and fanboys or whatever are
- 1:02:58like, Oh, what's this character's Tannon event? What's his charritor's Tannon event?
- 1:03:01So Batman's tanning events? His parents get killed, right, And the
- 1:03:06whole point of Spider Rest that people saying to be missing, and I think
- 1:03:07it's going to really be explored in the third one because people it needs to
- 1:03:10be hammered into people's heads, is that Miguel's wrong and that there's no such
- 1:03:15thing as a Cannon event, and it's not the messing up of Cannon that
- 1:03:20calls as to crumble, because that's basically what fanboys think. Like fanboys who
- 1:03:27are like they're obsessed with Cannon. They're like, if a character doesn't fall
- 1:03:30to Cannon, this universe doesn't mean anything. And that's why Miles. They
- 1:03:34don't think Miles is part of the Miles isn't part of the main six one
- 1:03:37six tanning. So they're like, Miles doesn't count, Miles is an anomae,
- 1:03:42it doesn't matter. And so it's all these things that they were saying
- 1:03:45that they put into the writing of the film, and they're like, this
- 1:03:47is why this is wrong, and Miguel is wrong. It's not adhering the
- 1:03:52cannon that's destroying these it's de villain the spot that's to destroying these universes.
- 1:03:58And I think we'll figure that out third movie. And they've really hammered and
- 1:04:01people said because obvious and even even like related concept the concepts related to that
- 1:04:10you've seen, and like even in the MCU, like the last Spider Man
- 1:04:13film where it was all three of them and you know, you have MJ
- 1:04:15falling and it's reminiscent of Gwen falling and you see and and it's kind of
- 1:04:20a commentary on that, like, yes, you can change, you know,
- 1:04:24it doesn't have to happen the same way every time, you know,
- 1:04:27the other Peter actually does save her this time. You know what I'm saying,
- 1:04:30Like it's it's it's everything you said. It's just that like the the
- 1:04:35the point that is being missed is that this can change. This is not
- 1:04:41a mutable, immutable area right like this, it doesn't have to be this
- 1:04:45way that there is no what this is? What does he say, I'm
- 1:04:48gonna do my own thing, like you can do your own thing, and
- 1:04:50the stories it's okay. And still it's it's like what you were saying earlier,
- 1:04:54like if you were going to retell, like if they reboot, well,
- 1:04:58I mean they're doing it with Tom Holland. Now, let's say Tom
- 1:05:00Holland's uh Spider Man meet to gwyn Stacy because he hasn't met a gwen Stacy
- 1:05:04yet. She doesn't have to fucking get thrown off a bridge by green Goblin
- 1:05:08y'all. You know what I mean. It doesn't have to go down like
- 1:05:11that, you know, like we don't need it. And that's but like
- 1:05:15there are fan people who if they have him meet at gwen Stacy, good
- 1:05:19movie, she gotta get thrown off a bridge. And it's like you sound
- 1:05:23like Michuel. Yes, and that's stupid because you've one, you've already seen
- 1:05:27it before. Two No, one, you've already seen it before. In
- 1:05:30there wrapping up this episode, another another thing that was debunked, another thing
- 1:05:44to be debunked one hundred, which actually was part of this whole thread of
- 1:05:47it was like an hour long of bo just answering questions on Twitter. Someone
- 1:05:51asked him directly, yo is Val mistiq valcouper, She's a mistique? He
- 1:05:56said, Nel like he just said, and no, No, I honestly
- 1:06:00did not get where people got that from. Like in general, I notice
- 1:06:04has been a long running rumer. Yeah, because we haven't seen mistake.
- 1:06:09And Val definitely added a little funny to me and Jenosha when she was like
- 1:06:13kind of trying to help you, that's not really Val, but at the
- 1:06:15same time, vows a human being who is to try and help people who
- 1:06:19are in danger. You know, she's not some evil monster. So it's
- 1:06:23like that does fit with her character. And this episode, you know,
- 1:06:27I havelway to it. I was like, ain't no way, this is
- 1:06:28a mistake. You know, I'm differing up on that there. So I
- 1:06:30don't know why people were stashing that, but I'm glad he confirmed it.
- 1:06:33Nah. And on the flip side of that notion of things always happening the
- 1:06:40same way, like her speech, sebast and like, first of all,
- 1:06:45that was that was meta commentary. That was meta commentary on the state of
- 1:06:47the world. That was meta commentary on how history repeats itself all sorts of
- 1:06:53shit. When she's explaining, you know, it felt like dejav to see
- 1:06:57what happened in Genosha and all this stuff, what happened to Magneto and everybody
- 1:07:00else, because it's like this has happened before. It's happened to different groups
- 1:07:05of people. There are different oppressors and different oppressed people, but it's happened
- 1:07:09before it and it keeps repeating itself over and over again in some way,
- 1:07:13shape or form. And that was really what the commentary was. But that
- 1:07:16speech again just beautiful writing. And it was also relative to how this episode
- 1:07:24ends with Magnito as well, because that was another one of the episodes that
- 1:07:27Magneto, i mean not Menedo, that Bow recommended everyone watch for. It's
- 1:07:30a two part or Sanctuary, and Sanctuary's from the Rhytima series. It's when
- 1:07:35Magneto basically goes to asteroid hit m his asteroid in space and says, all
- 1:07:41mutants are from Janosha from wherever, come here and live and you will have
- 1:07:45sanctuary. And so all these mutans come there and live and it all falls
- 1:07:49apart, of course, and it gets destroyed. But basically, I think
- 1:07:53Bo wanted people to see what Magneto has tried. You know he's tried,
- 1:07:58is he's tried to take everyone away way from humanity and live in space even
- 1:08:02and humanity still came a funk with him. So it's like now he's at
- 1:08:05the point, like at the end of this episode when he says enough,
- 1:08:09because not only that, we see like we hear her speech and then we
- 1:08:13see on his arm we see the numbers from the concentration camps from the Holocaust.
- 1:08:17So it's like he's been through it so many times and he's tried to
- 1:08:20take his people away from it, and no matter what he sees, manity
- 1:08:25will keep coming at him. So that's why at the end of one word,
- 1:08:28enough and he dad As has tried everything he is he is, he
- 1:08:31has tried to reason what Niggas He's tried, as you say, take people
- 1:08:35away like, okay, I'll do the segregation of you. I will go
- 1:08:39back to Africa, you know, Africa. Okay, I'm out to the
- 1:08:45moon to the guy. You know what I'm saying, like whatever y'all need.
- 1:08:50Like he's tried, you know, he's even said it in the beginning
- 1:08:53to remember, remember how he said in the beginning series when he first came
- 1:08:56and to drop and you know, on a new management he says, you
- 1:09:00know, I'll try Professor X's where I'll try Charles his way and look what
- 1:09:04the fucker got him. And that's why, like again, another nigga,
- 1:09:06you'll never let me make me hate and never nigga wear like regardless of yes,
- 1:09:11he has questionable tactics at times, but I will never say he's wrong
- 1:09:14like I just Magneto is right. Hence the title of your shirt, hence
- 1:09:18your background, and also that will be dropping a four ol NRDS dot com
- 1:09:21rollerbal soon. You might want to go there now and get your re order.
- 1:09:25In a word, yes, no, like but again like when I
- 1:09:30first started reading Edgmond, one of the first issues I read was like,
- 1:09:33you know, in the first ten twelve twenty issues I read was Magneto taking
- 1:09:38over as headmaster as the school, and that had been going. That's like,
- 1:09:42you know, that's from like fifty seventy issues of Chris Claremont reforming Magneto
- 1:09:48slowly, you know, from being a horrifying villain, because if you go
- 1:09:54back to his early Chris Claremont Magnito, he's a horrifying villain. It's terrifying.
- 1:09:59Actually, yeah, he fucking captures the X Men and does some horrifying
- 1:10:02ship to him. That fucked me up when I read that those issues.
- 1:10:04You know, they like, this is the madido who's not running the school.
- 1:10:08This is my nigga, Maddio. He used some fu niggas up like
- 1:10:11that, and in very truncated way, they try to show his reformation in
- 1:10:15the seven you know what I'm saying, like, and I said, you
- 1:10:17know, they have very limited time he showed this, but they basically and
- 1:10:20even the characters say, you went from this you know, terroristic nigga to
- 1:10:25you know now you you komba god shit. And he tried, and I
- 1:10:28was like, I'm never with the kum all the time. He fucking tried,
- 1:10:31and that's why that one word of enough, you know, it gave
- 1:10:35me the the imagery and the energy of no more Mutants, right like just
- 1:10:40just like that's it, Like I'm done with y'all because and I am of
- 1:10:44that level where I'm going to take charge and just change shit. The nigga
- 1:10:47went to the fucking pole North or South, whatever the fuck he was,
- 1:10:53and did a world wide emp. What nigga, you know can do that
- 1:10:57world Why you took up the prime summers when you took out everybody else's shit,
- 1:11:02And as Wolverine says, Magneto has to declare war. Yeah, that's
- 1:11:06right, it's going down. And that's one of my other theories is that
- 1:11:13I think this s Men ninety seven by the last episode. The one thing
- 1:11:16that they really haven't fucked with in the intro beculse they fucked with even the
- 1:11:19X Men at the beginning over the Blackbird. You know that's updated with all
- 1:11:23the new versions of them, is the running the mutants running at each other
- 1:11:29and Magnito being on one side and Professor's on being on one side. Because
- 1:11:32this series is going back to Magnito being on one side and Professor That's being
- 1:11:35on one side. But I feel like the people who are gonna choose sides
- 1:11:40are going to be very different, Like I feel like Wolverine is someone who
- 1:11:44might end up on Magnito's side in this one, while other people are gonna
- 1:11:47side with Professor's who I think Will might still be on the piece shit,
- 1:11:53or we might be heading to an onslaught thing like where Ron was talking about,
- 1:11:56where you know, Mandito and Professors both go bad, or we might
- 1:12:00be headed or something like I've been wanting a cocoa thing where man needn't Professor
- 1:12:04like, fuck these niggas together and join up and start something else. I
- 1:12:08mean, it'll be interesting because again, when he did finally show about the
- 1:12:12last fucking second imaginable Professor X, he does that, you know to me,
- 1:12:15my ex man, he's calling them like, okay, we we we
- 1:12:18we you know, we spin in the block now and we don't know what
- 1:12:21version of man we're getting. So that's something to be seen. And again,
- 1:12:28this is a three part ending for so this is what part one.
- 1:12:31So this is a three part like ending for this season. And I really
- 1:12:35hope I see some shit like on some team of shit. I don't fucking
- 1:12:38know which way it's gonna go, but I really do I'd like to see
- 1:12:42some team up, ship with them more than I would like to see them
- 1:12:45reverted to being. Yeah, it's like and I don't know if I've seen
- 1:12:48enough of the team shit, like we've always every iteration, live action or
- 1:12:53otherwise have seen the whole I gotta stop Magneto. He's thinking too far,
- 1:12:57Like, no, nigga, what happened? Like you've seen what happened.
- 1:13:00You was out getting you know, bird pussy out in this space. You
- 1:13:03see what happened to your people's like like like Donald Lover did in that community
- 1:13:10when he comes in with the pizzas and the whole woman on fire. That's
- 1:13:14exactly happy Happy Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This is actually it,
- 1:13:20actually, this is actually the true aa PI month. His first day is
- 1:13:24today, Happy Happy API month. To Jubilee. We get a little a
- 1:13:28little bit of her in this episode along with Roberto. She is funny enough,
- 1:13:32says, you know, all these niggas besides me could fly. We
- 1:13:36get a little bit of sun Spot doing his things with his powers. Roberto's
- 1:13:41mommy shit shit, And again I thought it was really I thought it was
- 1:13:46heartbreaking how technically he gets out it, you know, and you know and
- 1:13:50him out of this mutant again another analogous to you know, being out of
- 1:13:54in terms of your sexuality and know this other stuff. But the way that
- 1:13:58he gets out of he's running home to his mom for refuge for what did
- 1:14:01you call it? What did he what did Magneto call his uh sanctuary?
- 1:14:06Sanctuary? He's going, you're trying to get to sanctuary literally in real time
- 1:14:11from the fucking prime Sandals and him mom go with the cops. Turn and
- 1:14:17it's it's well, have to see where he is now because he went with
- 1:14:20the sentinels who dot E m P like seconds later. So right, well
- 1:14:25him and and but they also and I wonder if those those are rendered useless
- 1:14:29too, because they had the collars on as well the prohibiting power. Yeah,
- 1:14:33definitely, yeah, they've probably done. And then of course we have
- 1:14:38my girl Rogu, who seems to still be in a coma. Yeah,
- 1:14:41yeah, that's my baby. Well, I think that's everything. I think,
- 1:14:47So I think that is pretty much it. Like you said before,
- 1:14:53if you haven't peeped, already peeped, this shirt that I'm rocking right now
- 1:14:58is looking up a little bit a little bait you back up. Oh no,

- 1:15:27as well to staying true to their characters. That again, the theme and
- 1:15:31the and the essence of each of these characters and telling a new story,
- 1:15:35telling new stories along with the old stories, and giving us just a fresh
