Speaker 4: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 2:32
  Speaker 3: Story number one.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump talking about affordability and saying that his
• 2:38
Speaker 4: administration is taking major action to lower costs for American
• 2:43
Speaker 4: consumers and make buying a car much more affordable. How
• 2:48
Speaker 4: is he doing that by lowering gas admission standards. This
• 2:51
Speaker 4: on top of the fact he's lowering the price of gasoline,
• 2:54
Speaker 4: and the price of goods and services, and the price
• 2:57
Speaker 4: of eggs and bread and butter and milk. The list
• 3:01
Speaker 4: is actually getting pretty long. This is making the Democrats
• 3:05
Speaker 4: go crazy. And the President made it clear from the
• 3:09
Speaker 4: Oval Office today that he's just getting started when it
• 3:12
Speaker 4: comes to the issue of affordability. Here's part of what
• 3:16
Speaker 4: the President had to say today.
• 3:18
Speaker 1: My administration has taken his storic action to lower costs
• 3:21
Speaker 1: for American consumers, protect American auto jobs, and make buying
• 3:26
Speaker 1: a car much more affordable for accountless American families.
• 3:29
Speaker 2: And also safely, we're.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: Officially terminating Joe Biden's ridiculously burdens some horrible actually cafe
• 3:36
Speaker 1: standards that imposed expensive restrictions and.
• 3:40
Speaker 2: All sorts of problems gave all sorts.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: Of problems to automakers, and we're not only talking about here,
• 3:47
Speaker 1: we're talking about outside of our country. Because nobody could
• 3:50
Speaker 1: do it, nobody wanted to do it, and it was ridiculous,
• 3:53
Speaker 1: very expensive. It put tremendous upward pressure on car prices.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: Combined with the insane electric vehicle mandate, Biden's burdens some
• 4:03
Speaker 1: regulations helped cause the price.
• 4:05
Speaker 2: Of cars to soar more than twenty five percent.
• 4:08
Speaker 1: And in one case they went up eighteen percent in
• 4:11
Speaker 1: one year. Today, we're taking one more step to kill
• 4:14
Speaker 1: the Green new scam as part of the greatest scam,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: probably well other than Russia, Russia, Russia, and a few
• 4:20
Speaker 1: others in good name, the greatest scam in American history,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: the Green new scam. And it's a question to end
• 4:27
Speaker 1: the gasoline powered car. This is what they wanted to do,
• 4:30
Speaker 1: even though we have more gasoline than any other country
• 4:32
Speaker 1: by far, and people.
• 4:34
Speaker 2: Want the gasoline car. They want everything, they want, electric,
• 4:37
Speaker 2: they want they wont.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: A half lots of alternatives, but they do want the
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: gasoline car.
• 4:42
Speaker 2: Right now. It's leading away by a lot.
• 4:46
Speaker 1: The car business is a very interesting business, but we
• 4:49
Speaker 1: want to keep it that way.
• 4:52
Speaker 4: One of the most interesting things about what the President
• 4:54
Speaker 4: said the White House is he is looking at all
• 4:56
Speaker 4: areas and trying to find ways to help Americans. Affordability
• 5:02
Speaker 4: is the number one priority of this administration, which brings
• 5:05
Speaker 4: us to Mark Meadows, former White House Chief of Staff,
• 5:09
Speaker 4: was asked today about what he believes is the timing
• 5:14
Speaker 4: of the two thousand dollars Trump tariff checks and when
• 5:17
Speaker 4: they could go out take a listen to what he
• 5:20
Speaker 4: had to say about that big victory as well.
• 5:23
Speaker 5: Says affordability, that's the top thing. But listen to what
• 5:26
Speaker 5: President Trump said about affordability yesterday.
• 5:28
Speaker 6: And you know, there's this fake narrative that the Democrats
• 5:32
  Speaker 6: talk about affordability.
• 5:34
Speaker 2: They just say the word. It doesn't mean anything to anybody,
• 5:37
Speaker 2: You just say it. So, which is it?
• 5:40
Speaker 5: Yeah, So I would probably tend to be more with
• 5:43
Speaker 5: President here than Congressman Left Wise choice here's the reason.
• 5:49
Speaker 5: But here's the reason why is this is not about
• 5:52
Speaker 5: affordability as much as it is about getting the prices
• 5:56
Speaker 5: of groceries down, the price of energy down. When we
• 6:00
Speaker 5: start looking at that, affordability is an abstract term that's
• 6:04
Speaker 5: very difficult. What do we need to do we need
• 6:06
Speaker 5: to make sure the price of ground beef goes down.
• 6:09
Speaker 5: We need to make sure that the average man or
• 6:13
Speaker 5: woman going into the grocery store and purchasing is actually
• 6:17
Speaker 5: seeing the price of those things go down. I can
• 6:19
Speaker 5: tell you the President and Kevin Hassett and others are
• 6:22
Speaker 5: laser focused on that. But I think the other thing
• 6:25
Speaker 5: that should be coming out that actually will make things,
• 6:28
Speaker 5: If you want to use the word affordable, I think
• 6:31
Speaker 5: the Trump checks. I'm in favor of that as a
• 6:34
Speaker 5: conservative member. Some of my colleagues and friends are not
• 6:37
Speaker 5: for that, But I think these two thousand dollars Trump
• 6:40
Speaker 5: tariff checks need to go out next year. That will
• 6:45
Speaker 5: be that will be something that actually others can spend
• 6:49
Speaker 5: the money and maybe reduce some of the pain of
• 6:52
Speaker 5: the higher inflationary prices they're seeing at the grocery store.
• 6:56
Speaker 4: So even Mark Meadows saying, I think the two thousand
• 6:59
Speaker 4: dollars Trump tariff checks will go out next year, which
• 7:04
Speaker 4: brings us to the President's total goal. Whether it's gas,
• 7:08
Speaker 4: whether it's grocery prices, whether it's car prices, whether it's
• 7:12
Speaker 4: the cost of basic goods and services. The President wants
• 7:16
Speaker 4: you to feel like you're in control and winning in
• 7:19
Speaker 4: America's economy. He also mentioned as well that he wants
• 7:24
Speaker 4: to get rid of the income tax, and the tariffs
• 7:27
Speaker 4: are helping us move towards that. And then there's the
• 7:30
Speaker 4: issue of the national debt, which the White House also
• 7:33
Speaker 4: says they're looking to help tackle that issue as well,
• 7:37
Speaker 4: which goes back to what President Trump ran on putting
• 7:40
Speaker 4: Americans first and cutting out waste, fraud, and abuse. And
• 7:46
Speaker 4: now we're witnessing just how successful the President is starting
• 7:50
Speaker 4: to become on a major issue now.
• 7:52
  Speaker 3: Story number two.
• 7:53
Speaker 4: President Donald Trump also promised Americans when he was running
• 7:57
Speaker 4: for election that he was going to keep you safe,
• 7:59
Speaker 4: that he was secure or the border and he was
• 8:01
Speaker 4: going to make sure that we didn't have terrorists coming
• 8:04
Speaker 4: into this country across that open border. Many that came
• 8:07
Speaker 4: across many that we're concerned about now, including sleeper cells,
• 8:12
Speaker 4: and we have seen some of these recent attacks on
• 8:14
Speaker 4: National guardsmen, on ICE members, and the President is now
• 8:18
Speaker 4: saying it is time for us to take a look
• 8:21
Speaker 4: and why we're letting in so many people from so
• 8:23
Speaker 4: many parts around the world where we know they are
• 8:26
Speaker 4: hotbed for terrorism, which brings us to this President Donald
• 8:31
Speaker 4: Trump's deputies have now shut down the legal migration pathways
• 8:36
Speaker 4: for people from nineteen countries pending the completion of security
• 8:41
Speaker 4: checks and interviews. The Trump administration is making every effort
• 8:47
Speaker 4: to ensure individuals becoming citizens are the best of the best.
• 8:52
Speaker 4: That coming from the US Citizenship and Immigration Services Agency,
• 8:57
Speaker 4: which went on to add this, we will take no
• 9:00
Speaker 4: chances when the future of our nation is at stake.
• 9:03
Speaker 4: The Trump administration is reviewing all immigration benefits granted by
• 9:08
Speaker 4: the Biden administration to aliens from countries of concern.
• 9:13
  Speaker 5: Now.
• 9:14
Speaker 4: The freeze is unprecedented, is what a former agency official
• 9:18
Speaker 4: said to CBS News. The new guidance indicates that the
• 9:22
Speaker 4: immigration crackdown directed by Donald Trump following last week's shooting
• 9:27
Speaker 4: of the National Guard members is much broader in scope
• 9:31
Speaker 4: than previously reported. The policy is a huge shift from
• 9:35
Speaker 4: Joe Biden's presidency as well, which sought to legalize several
• 9:39
Speaker 4: million wage cutting, rent spiking illegal immigrants. Biden's deputies and
• 9:47
Speaker 4: judges pushed their migrants through many quasi legal pathways, including
• 9:52
Speaker 4: friendly asylum reviews, deportation freezes, and the award of temporary
• 9:59
Speaker 4: protected status and humanitarian parole. Like it was candy on Halloween.
• 10:06
Speaker 4: The Trump shut down is now freezing asylum claims for
• 10:10
Speaker 4: all who want to avoid deportation as well. It also
• 10:15
Speaker 4: shuts down paperwork proceedings, green card approvals, and naturalization ceremonies
• 10:21
Speaker 4: from people from nineteen high risk national populations who enter
• 10:27
Speaker 4: the United States under President Joe Biden's watch, Clearly many
• 10:31
Speaker 4: of them unvetted. The freeze also applies to migrants from Afghanistan, Burma, Chad,
• 10:39
Speaker 4: the Republic of the Congo, Ecuadorial, Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Soudan, Yemen, Cuba, Togo, Turkmenistan,
• 10:53
Speaker 4: and Venezuela, to name a few. Nine of the countries
• 10:57
Speaker 4: are predominantly Muslim. Most of the countries are small and backward,
• 11:02
Speaker 4: but four of them, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Iran in Somalia have
• 11:06
Speaker 4: large populations in the United States. Christy Nome, the Secretary
• 11:12
Speaker 4: of the Department of Home in Security, has hinted the
• 11:14
Speaker 4: list may be expanded, and at least one report says
• 11:19
Speaker 4: ten additional countries may be added very soon. Now, the
• 11:24
Speaker 4: policy is not a complete shutdown. Despite much demand for
• 11:28
Speaker 4: a total freeze, the shutdown policy does not include migrants
• 11:33
Speaker 4: from Mexican and Central American countries, which together account for
• 11:37
Speaker 4: a large share of recent migrants. It also exempts migrants
• 11:41
Speaker 4: from India, which is a huge population a five million legal,
• 11:47
Speaker 4: illegal and quasillegal migrants via complex networks of companies into
• 11:53
Speaker 4: white collar jobs, trucking jobs, and hotel related jobs sought
• 11:57
Speaker 4: by Americans throughout the United States. The us CIS announced
• 12:02
Speaker 4: the policy on Tuesday afternoon via a memo to staff,
• 12:06
Speaker 4: saying this memorandum mandates that all aliens meeting these criteria
• 12:12
Speaker 4: undergo a thorough review process, including a potential interview and
• 12:17
Speaker 4: if necessary, a reinterview, to fully assess all national security
• 12:22
Speaker 4: and public safety threats along with any other related grounds
• 12:27
Speaker 4: of inadmissibility or ineligibility. The letter also said that the
• 12:32
Speaker 4: individuals should go by a case by case review. An
• 12:36
Speaker 4: assessment will be done of all relevant information and facts.
• 12:40
Speaker 4: The USCIS will also conduct a comprehensive review of all
• 12:44
Speaker 4: relevant policies, procedures, and operational guidance for compliance, accuracy, and
• 12:50
Speaker 4: needed improvements during this time. The guidance outlines the adjudicated
• 12:55
Speaker 4: hold procedure, requirements and processes for the review. The interview
• 13:01
Speaker 4: or reinterview of affected aliens. The USCIS personnel are instructed
• 13:06
Speaker 4: to prioritize national security and public safety concerns and ensure
• 13:11
Speaker 4: compliance with all applical laws and regulations during the adjudication process.
• 13:16
Speaker 4: All findings must be documented in accordance with established protocols
• 13:21
Speaker 4: to support any subsequent determinations or actions present, making it
• 13:26
Speaker 4: clear as He was also asked about this at the
• 13:29
Speaker 4: White House today and here's what he had to say.
• 13:31
Speaker 3: You've made changes for Afghani's ability to apply for asylum.
• 13:36
Speaker 2: Do you blame all Afghans for this?
• 13:38
Speaker 6: One man's no, But we've had a lot of problems
• 13:40
Speaker 6: with Afghans because they had a lot of them coming
• 13:42
Speaker 6: in on these planes.
• 13:44
Speaker 2: Again, I show you this picture.
• 13:46
Speaker 6: We had a lot of them coming in on these
• 13:48
Speaker 6: planes that are there was no checking. They just poured
• 13:52
Speaker 6: into the plane. And many of these people are criminals.
• 13:56
Speaker 6: Many of these people are people that shouldn't be here,
• 13:58
Speaker 6: and many of them have been gotten out. I mean,
• 14:00
Speaker 6: we've gotten out a lot of the people that you know,
• 14:03
  Speaker 6: We've taken.
• 14:03
Speaker 2: A lot of matter here, but they came in. Yeah,
• 14:06
Speaker 2: I know, the steel story. Many are wonderful. Yeah, I'm
• 14:09
Speaker 2: sure what should they think.
• 14:13
Speaker 6: Well, they can't be happy. Okay, they can't be happy
• 14:16
Speaker 6: because what's taking place between that. If you look at Somalia,
• 14:20
Speaker 6: they're taking over Minnesota and they are we got a
• 14:24
Speaker 6: lot of problems with the gangs, with all of the
• 14:27
Speaker 6: things taking place in Minnesota. We have an incompetent governor. Dope,
• 14:31
Speaker 6: we have a dope governor. They can't be happy about
• 14:34
Speaker 6: what's going on. And if you talk about the Afghans,
• 14:38
Speaker 6: you know there's a problem because so many bed ones
• 14:40
Speaker 6: came in on the planes. They just walked on whoever
• 14:43
Speaker 6: the strongest people were physically in a way, but whoever
• 14:47
Speaker 6: the strongest they got on the planes.
• 14:48
Speaker 2: There was no checking.
• 14:49
Speaker 6: They just swamped the planes. They took off. We had
• 14:53
Speaker 6: no idea who they were.
• 14:55
Speaker 4: So thin about what the President just said there, We
• 14:57
Speaker 4: had no idea who they were. But what the present
• 15:00
Speaker 4: and it is guaranteeing you now is they're going to
• 15:01
Speaker 4: do everything they can to make sure they find out
• 15:03
Speaker 4: who they are and keep you and your family safe.
