  Speaker 1: at you in the New King James, and it says,

  Speaker 1: but the multitude of the city was divided, part sided
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: with the Jews and part with the Apostles. Wow. So
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: now we got opposing size right here. Truth divides people
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: because it demands a response. If you talk about Jesus
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: to somebody and fail to get a response from them,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: then you have not spoken the whole truth of the matter. Amen. Now,
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: some people accept the truth and some people rejected. That
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: just comes with the territory. Amen. And so we got
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: to get to a place where we allow the Gospel
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: to work in the hearts of people. And we just
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: have to understand that even a nondecision is a decision
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: that could be rejecting the Gospel, that could be rejecting
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: the truth. Amen. And so our hearts in our prayers
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: are for people to accept the Gospel when we present it. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Now let's take a look at this city. Some people
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: support Paul and barnabas others oppose them. Now, it's just
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: something that happens naturally. The gospel will draw lines, it
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: will bring the vision. Jesus himself said that he did
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: not come to bring peace, but he came to bring
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: a sword. He came to bring division. He said that
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: a father and a son will be divided, a mother
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: and a daughter will be divided. Even in the man's
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: The members of a man's household will be his enemies.
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: And this is the effect of the gospel, right, because
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: there is a division. There's those who believe and there
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: are those who don't believe. And that just comes with
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: the territory. And we do see this today. Faith conversions
• 8:42
  Speaker 1: and conversations often split opinions. Even when families and communities
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: truth forces a decision. Let me say that again. Sometimes
• 8:56
  Speaker 1: just having a conversation about the Lord, having a conversation
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: with someone about your faith can just bring division. Like
• 9:07
  Speaker 1: even on my job, they say don't talk about religion
• 9:10
  Speaker 1: or politics because these are contentious. They can become contentious topics, right,
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: people can get all in their feelings. All right, Let's
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: go to verse five, and when a violent tempest was
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: made by both the Gentiles and the Jews with their
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: rulers to abuse and to stone them. Now, I want
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: you to check this out. When arguments fail, hostility will
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: often follow. Let me say this again, When arguments fail,
• 9:49
  Speaker 1: hostility will often follow. Man And I can remember my
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: time when it's sitting on my job. You know, I

  Speaker 1: work with the Jova's Witness and I work with a Mormon,

  Speaker 1: and we would always debate the scripture, like when I
• 10:09
  Speaker 1: first came to the shop. We would be in debate

  Speaker 1: after debate, and we could talk and we would try
• 10:15
  Speaker 1: to come out with different points. And it went for
• 10:18
  Speaker 1: a while, but it came to a point where nobody
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: was budge. You know, I wouldn't budge, you know, they
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: were trying to convert me and I would not forsake
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: my Lord is Savior. But then they wouldn't budge, you know,
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: they wanted to hold on to their religion. And then
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: it got to a point where one of them wanted
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: to turn me in and get me in trouble. You know,
• 10:42
  Speaker 1: I brought in this movie. It's a great movie. It's
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: called The Bible Versus the Book of Mormon, and ex
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: Mormons actually produced this film, and I brought it to
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: show it to the guys or whatever. And the Mormon
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: a person, the person who you know holds to that
• 11:04
  Speaker 1: belief God offended and uh, you know what's threatening. So
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: you know, sometimes you know, when debate fails, you know,
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: hostility often arise, you know, and sometimes we just got
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: to have wisdom and discernment on how to go forward
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: on these topics. Now, let's notice how things escalate here.

  Speaker 1: First there's disagreement. Second, then there is slander. The third
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: that comes violence. There's gonna be people who disagree with you,
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: and because they can't fight the truth directly, they will
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: try to discredit you. Watch out, beloved, for these false
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: prophets who are popping up all over the place trying
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: to attack Paul the Apostle. They couldn't water against Paul
• 12:01
  Speaker 1: the Apostle. Paul wrote two thirds of the New Testament,
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: and they know they got to get Paul out of
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: the way in order for their teaching to thrive. And
• 12:11
  Speaker 1: there's a lot of people out there who are ignorant
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: to the word of God. To while they allow these
• 12:17
  Speaker 1: people to trample over Paul, they slander him and then
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: sad to say, there's going to be a day when
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: there's going to be all out violence against the believers.

  Speaker 1: Now I do stand corrected, because there's already violence in
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: other countries. We just don't see it here in America. Actually,
• 12:44
  Speaker 1: something has happened last year I believe, where this guy
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: breaks out of prison and he is stalking pastors and
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: he emits on national TV that he killed a past
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: because he didn't like what the pastor was teaching. And
• 13:05
  Speaker 1: in the United States of America, So that is being
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: persecuted for your faith. We've enjoyed freedom in this country
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: for years, but now our freedoms are going to be challenged.

  Speaker 3: Now.

  Speaker 1: The enemy always tries to intimidate. When persecution fails, right,
• 13:33
  Speaker 1: he always falls back to the fear factors. Paul and
• 13:37
  Speaker 1: Barnabas now face real danger in our scriptures. Right, This

  Speaker 1: isn't just rejection anymore. This is all out life threatening
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: opposition against our apostles. And then it happened way back
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: then and it's still happening today. Bruh, love it. You
• 13:58
  Speaker 1: really need to know. Let me say that again, We
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: really need to know who we trust, who we believe in.

  Speaker 1: Our faith really needs to be rooted and grounded because
• 14:10
  Speaker 1: we don't know yet. The Lord has not come yet

  Speaker 1: raptureist Church, So we don't know how many of us
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: are going to have to lay our lives down for
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: what we believe. We need to settle that in our

  Speaker 1: hearts now. We need to give that over to the

  Speaker 1: Lord now, so that we will be prepared when it

  Speaker 1: all starts to go down.

  Speaker 1: And in verse six they became aware of it and

  Speaker 1: fled to Listra in derby cities of Laconia and to

  Speaker 1: the surrounding region now leaving this danger. What they did

  Speaker 1: was not a cowardice move right, It was not cowardice

  Speaker 1: for them to flee. Jesus himself, would you at times
• 15:07
  Speaker 1: until his appointed time? The wisdom sometimes means we got

  Speaker 1: to move on. There's no open door here, so let's

  Speaker 1: go to where the doors are open to minister right now.

  Speaker 1: Notice something important here. They didn't quit the ministry. All
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: they did was they changed the locations. Faith is not reckless.

  Speaker 1: God still had work for them to do elsewhere. They

  Speaker 1: just had to keep it pushing right. Sometimes staying put
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: isn't faith. Sometimes moving forward is hallelujah. Now, even think

  Speaker 1: of myself when we had to move from our building.

  Speaker 1: Club is how Las Vegas where the ministry doesn't stop.

  Speaker 1: We still do pop up events. We've been out of town,

  Speaker 1: we go throughout the city. We still do concerts and

  Speaker 1: events things like that. That doesn't mean the mission stopped. Amen.

  Speaker 1: That means we just changed locations. Now. Verse seven says,

  Speaker 1: and they were preaching the gospel there no matter where
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: they went, they kept preaching. Mission never stopped. Amen. The

  Speaker 1: mission must continue. Hallelujah. They weren't discouraged. They did not retire.

  Speaker 1: You didn't hear no one complaint from them. They just
• 16:54
  Speaker 1: kept going city after city, challenge after challenge. The gospel

  Speaker 1: kept moving. And here is the lesson for us today.

  Speaker 1: Opposition may change your location, but it should never change
• 17:15
  Speaker 1: your calling. Let me said that again. Opposition just made
• 17:21
  Speaker 1: change your location, but your calling remains the same. You

  Speaker 1: are still called. Remember, the Holy Spirit asked for them
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: by name. He said, to the church, send them out
• 17:41
  Speaker 1: to the work that I prepared for them to do.

  Speaker 1: So they were in the will of God. This was

  Speaker 1: a part of the work that God called them to do.

  Speaker 1: Even when Paul was converted from saw the Paul Jesus

  Speaker 1: says that he must suffer before the Jews and before

  Speaker 1: kings for his namesake. It is an honor to suffer

  Speaker 1: Right, rejection is not the end of ministry. Just because

  Speaker 1: you've been rejected. Now I'm ministering to myself. Right, Just

  Speaker 1: because there's been rejection, it doesn't mean that's the end.

  Speaker 1: Sometimes it's the beginning of the next assignment. So this

  Speaker 1: is where we got to stay prayed up. This is

  Speaker 1: where we have to seek the Lord's face and ask
