Trendon Watford, the undrafted forward who spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers, has officially signed a one-year, $2.9M deal with the New Orleans Pelicans — shutting down earlier rumors of an overseas move to Valencia Basket. After the Sixers declined his team option, Watford waited for the right fit and landed a better contract with a Pelicans team aiming to make noise.
