Lucas: That's right! Tuesday. Perfect. So today we're going to learn something new — body parts. Luna: Ooh, like pointing at stuff? Handy. Lucas: Very handy. Let's start with the head. In Malay, head is 'kepala'. Luna: Kepala. Luna: Kepala. Lucas: You've got it. Now the hair on your head — that's 'rambut'. Luna: Rambut. Luna: Ini kepala saya. So 'ini' is 'this', 'kepala' is 'head', and 'saya' is 'my' or 'I'? Lucas: Right. 'Ini kepala saya.' Let's hear it from you. Luna: Ini kepala saya. Lucas: Perfect. Now what about 'She has long hair'? In Malay: 'Dia ada rambut panjang.' Luna: Dia ada rambut panjang. So 'dia' is 'she/he', 'ada' is 'has', 'rambut' is 'hair', 'panjang' is 'long'. Lucas: You're a natural! Say it with me: Dia ada rambut panjang. Luna: Dia ada rambut panjang. Lucas: Great. And one more useful phrase: 'I like your hair.' 'Saya suka rambut awak.' Luna: Saya suka rambut awak. That's a nice compliment. So 'awak' is 'you', like we learned before. Lucas: Exactly. 'Saya suka rambut awak.' Try it. Luna: Saya suka rambut awak. Lucas: Perfect. Now let's practice all of them in a little scene. Let's say you're at a party and you see a friend with nice hair. What do you say? Luna: Umm... 'Saya suka rambut awak!' Lucas: Yes! And then they might point to their head and say 'Ini kepala saya'? That would be weird. Luna: Yeah, don't do that. But maybe they say 'Terima kasih' — thank you. Lucas: Right. So let's do a quick back-and-forth. I'll be the friend. You say, 'I like your hair.' Ready? Luna: Saya suka rambut awak. Lucas: Terima kasih. Dia ada rambut panjang? No, actually I have short hair. Luna: Oh, then 'Dia ada rambut pendek' — short hair? Lucas: Yes! 'Pendek' is short. But we didn't teach that today! Let's stick with the phrases we have. Luna: Okay, okay. So we've got kepala, rambut, 'Ini kepala saya', 'Dia ada rambut panjang', and 'Saya suka rambut awak'. Lucas: That's it. Let's do one more round. Repeat after me: kepala. Luna: Kepala. Lucas: Rambut.
