- 0:38Music.
- 0:48She's a happy girl.
- 1:02Wicked people find it very hard to have peace.
- 1:06They are always on the move. They will not stand for anything but fall for everything.
- 1:11God's people should not be like them. God's people should stand with assurance
- 1:15because the message they bring and what they have is righteous, pure, and life itself.
- 1:20We'll see you next time. shamed, or intimidated.
- 1:23You should be bold as lions because your message is clear and correct.
- 1:29Join us in this program, Roaring Boldly, as Kim Miller of Woman at the Well
- 1:33Ministries takes us through Proverbs 28.1, which says, The wicked flee when
- 1:40no man pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
- 1:44Hello and welcome to this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries.
- 1:47Let us pray our kind and most gracious to heavenly
- 1:50father lord i pray that you would just speak to our hearts
- 1:53i pray to heavenly father that you would just lift
- 1:57our courage and i pray lord that you would just
- 1:59allow our minds to focus on the truth of who you
- 2:02are i pray to heavenly father that you
- 2:05would give us this courage and the boldness to speak and to stand in your presence
- 2:11lord as we hear from you and then be able lord to stand in the presence of those
- 2:16that you place around us that we might be able to clearly concisely and boldly
- 2:21speak the truth that you've given us,
- 2:23Lord, don't allow us to be intimidated. Dear God, don't allow us to be able
- 2:29to be shrinking away from those that are around us, but give us a godly boldness,
- 2:34Lord, a strength from on high that would enable us to lovingly and patiently
- 2:39speak the truth in the presence of those around us.
- 2:43Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have given us the truth.
- 2:48We're thankful, Lord, that you live within us and you dwell within us and that
- 2:51you'll put in our minds those things that we have need of, allowing us to remember
- 2:55that which we have studied and that which you have told us in times of prayer.
- 3:00And I pray, Lord, that you would just teach us to stand in your presence more
- 3:03often, that we might have the knowledge, the inspiration, the motivation,
- 3:09Lord, and your words to say that would lead others to you.
- 3:13Lord, we love you and we praise you and we thank you in Jesus' name.
- 3:17And all of God's people said, Amen.
- 3:20It's an interesting thing how confidently some
- 3:24people can speak about things that
- 3:27have absolutely no bearing or
- 3:30no relevance and in some cases have absolutely no truth about it whatsoever
- 3:37and they'll stand and they'll argue almost to the death and and they'll never
- 3:42back down regardless of how ridiculous or how absolutely incorrect it might be.
- 3:49But there's one thing about that person that you can't help but admire or at
- 3:55least notice and that is that they are willing to stand and say what it is they believe to be correct.
- 4:05They're willing to stay in and speak about what they feel is their truth.
- 4:14An interesting thing will happen. You can be in the presence of people who have
- 4:19opposing views on politics, and they will just stand there,
- 4:24and they will consistently speak about what they think to be true and right.
- 4:31And they'll become passionate. they'll become
- 4:34engaged and involved in the conversation and
- 4:38absolutely nothing will deter them and
- 4:41they may have not one shred of real evidence
- 4:45fact or truth to back up what they're
- 4:47saying but because they're passionate about
- 4:52what it is they believe they'll never
- 4:56give up trying to influence you i've been in the presence of some folks like
- 5:02that and it has always made me think about my own ability to stand in the conversation.
- 5:14Influencing others about the
- 5:17truth of jesus christ about what
- 5:20the word of god says about who
- 5:24he is and it amazes me
- 5:27that we who have been born
- 5:30again whom the holy spirit indwells
- 5:34who've studied and read from genesis to revelations the promises the miracles
- 5:42the accounts and the events that god has laid out in his holy scriptures that
- 5:48we might know who he is those of us who have
- 5:52experienced his blessings and understand they come from him,
- 5:56who've seen him transform and change our lives,
- 6:00are still some of the most timid,
- 6:04meek, and mild speakers of the word to others, of the truth to those around us.
- 6:16For some of us, the best we can do is just walk away from a conversation where
- 6:21Christ is being misrepresented.
- 6:24Perhaps he's being just completely normalized when there's nothing normal about
- 6:32the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
- 6:35When he is as holy as God is.
- 6:40When you see that he seeks you and pursues you and loves you.
- 6:46And that he wishes that none should perish. But yet, even among our peers,
- 6:53and perhaps our group of friends,
- 6:56we find it difficult to be passionate enough to stay in there in that conversation.
- 7:04Defending the Word of God, and defending who he is.
- 7:09Now, I've never been one who would argue the scriptures. I think that they speak for themselves.
- 7:16But certainly in the presence of someone who is clearly misinterpreting who God is.
- 7:25I believe as Christians, we should take the word of God, which is the truth,
- 7:31and we should stand on it.
- 7:34And we should allow others to see the truth as we reveal it to them through
- 7:41the scriptures. I think it's important that we speak the Holy Word of God.
- 7:49My opinion doesn't count, but God's Word will never fail.
- 7:54What I think might have happened is unimportant, but what the Word of God says
- 8:01happened is absolute truth.
- 8:05And the Word of God says that Jesus was born of a virgin,
- 8:09and that he left the splendor of heaven and he grew up on this earth tempted
- 8:15like as we are yet without sin,
- 8:18and that he died on the cross of Calvary to pay for your sins and my sins.
- 8:24And that it was the sinless, perfect, spotless Lamb of God who shed his blood
- 8:30for you and me that enables every one of us who believe to become the children of God.
- 8:39That's not Kim Miller's interpretation.
- 8:43That is not Woman at the Well Ministries interpretation.
- 8:47That is the truth that Kim Miller believes and that Woman at the Well Ministries stands upon.
- 8:55That is the truth of the Word of God. And it can be found in its Gospels.
- 9:00It can be prophesied in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New.
- 9:05It is a living testimony of my life that jesus saves and every account in the
- 9:15word of god from genesis to revelations is not just a story it is an account
- 9:20of who god is it is an account of what happened.
- 9:26And Jesus wrote every word from Genesis to Revelations by inspiring the men
- 9:32of God that the Holy Spirit gave the words and the utterance that they might
- 9:37write what God would have us to know.
- 9:40And he gave us everything we needed to know that we might have life and have
- 9:43it more abundantly by having Jesus as our Savior.
- 9:48There needs to be a passion around the truth. And the Bible says,
- 9:53I am the way, the truth, and the life. That's what Jesus says in John chapter 14, verse 6.
- 9:59And no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
- 10:04That is a fact. And that if you do not believe in the only begotten Son of God,
- 10:12which is Jesus, that you will spend eternity in hell.
- 10:16That is a truth, no matter how much you don't want to believe it.
- 10:20And Christians have become so afraid of offending people that we've watered down what sin is.
- 10:28We've watered down the reality of what the Bible says we need to do.
- 10:33The Bible says that anything done without faith is sin.
- 10:37Sin is not just going out and committing adultery. Sin is not just going out and stealing.
- 10:42Sin is not just having any other God above me.
- 10:46Sin, by the word of God, is anything done without faith, and we need to realize
- 10:51that he calls us to live a life that depends wholly and solely upon him.
- 10:56And we can because the foundation of God is the truth of God and it's the word
- 11:02of God which was made flesh and dwelt among us.
- 11:05We can be passionate about what we speak because what we speak of is truth.
- 11:12It's grounded and rooted in his word.
- 11:16It's grounded and rooted in him. Why is it then that we as Christians let the
- 11:22world say whatever they want to say? We let the world do whatever they want to do.
- 11:27And we as Christians who should outnumber the world seem to just sit back and
- 11:33watch the liberties of Christ be completely obliterated.
- 11:37And we go along to get along when we need to stand out and be a peculiar people.
- 11:43Because Christ said, be ye peculiar for I am peculiar.
- 11:46And what he meant was you're not of the world i wasn't of the world and so therefore
- 11:51you shouldn't get along and blend with the world but that the world should see
- 11:55him in you we need to be roaring boldly not rudely not arrogantly but passionately.
- 12:07Standing on the truth, standing on the word of God, holding him for all things.
- 12:13Jesus loves me, this I know. And the truth of the matter is that Jesus is real.
- 12:21And we need to be bold in our knowledge of him and bold in speaking about him.
- 12:27And we need to be passionate about who he is. and our life and our words should
- 12:33show the passion and the belief that we have.
- 12:37And we need to be willing to tell others who he is, standing on the truth of the word of God.
