  Speaker 1: Boom.
• 0:07
  Speaker 2: I'm all excited.
• 0:10
Speaker 3: I'm all like, hey, what's up, boy? No, because it's
• 0:14
Speaker 3: been a minute. Because the last time I seen you was,
• 0:17
Speaker 3: when was the last time I seen you?
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: Sacramento.
• 0:19
  Speaker 3: Was it Sacramento?
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: In February.
• 0:21
Speaker 3: That's right. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. For some reason, I
• 0:24
Speaker 3: keep thinking East Coast. Because when I first met you
• 0:27
  Speaker 3: was in Norfolk.
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: Yep, Virginia.
• 0:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, Virginia. Because we also do the one degree of separation. Yeah,
• 0:35
Speaker 3: what you call it? And then, but yeah, no, so
• 0:39
Speaker 3: what else has been going on?
• 0:40
Speaker 1: Oh, man, life is awesome. Life is good. Working just
• 0:45
Speaker 1: as much as I can. The summertime up north is
• 0:48
Speaker 1: typically slower for comedy. And so that's when I get
• 0:52
Speaker 1: out and head like out west or New York, you know.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: So that's what I'll be doing this summer, doing a
• 0:58
Speaker 1: lot of that. Like, June, July is kind of tough
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: for comedy.
• 1:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, because, like, because you guys finally, you're not snowed
• 1:04
Speaker 3: in and shit. Yeah, we get to get.
• 1:05
Speaker 1: Outside, you know, so it kind of slows down here.
• 1:07
Speaker 3: That's what it's like in Seattle. Like, up in the
• 1:10
Speaker 3: Pacific Northwest, it's like, if it's not, if it's, like,
• 1:13
Speaker 3: during the rainy season, everyone's in the comedy clubs and
• 1:15
Speaker 3: all that stuff, but as soon, matter of fact, if
• 1:16
Speaker 3: there's one day of sun and it happens to land
• 1:19
Speaker 3: on your weekend, like, ain't nobody coming out.
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: It's over.
• 1:22
  Speaker 3: It's over.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: That's how it is here. So, like, My dates here really, from,
• 1:28
Speaker 1: what is it, what did we just have, Memorial Day?
• 1:30
Speaker 1: From Memorial Day to Labor Day, I kind of just
• 1:33
Speaker 1: go all over the country.
• 1:34
Speaker 3: Yeah. I was going to say, this is the first
• 1:37
Speaker 3: time I've been in Detroit, and I was telling you,
• 1:39
  Speaker 3: I was like, it's dope. I like the feel. I
• 1:42
Speaker 3: came in and I was like, oh, it's got this
• 1:43
Speaker 3: nice little old feeling, but like, It just feels like
• 1:46
Speaker 3: everything's renovated and high-teched out, though, too. So it has character,
• 1:51
Speaker 3: but it's also like, no, I got internet, too.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. It really started developing. Dan Gilbert, who owns
• 2:00
Speaker 1: Cleveland Cavaliers, and what's the other thing? It's a mortgage company, Rocket.
• 2:05
  Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
• 2:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, so he brought his headquarters here. Oh, so that
• 2:10
Speaker 1: was really big for Detroit. It was a big development.
• 2:13
Speaker 3: This little area is dope, too. I'm like, yeah, I
• 2:16
Speaker 3: looked on the schedule and because across the street is
• 2:18
Speaker 3: the baseball. Yeah. And then the other across the street
• 2:20
Speaker 3: is the football, right? Football. Yep.
• 2:22
Speaker 1: And then across the street on the other side is basketball.
• 2:25
  Speaker 3: I didn't see the basketball.
• 2:26
Speaker 1: Little Caesars Arena. That's basketball and hockey.
• 2:28
Speaker 3: Okay. Oh, shit. Dang. You can say shit, can't you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 2:33
Speaker 3: You can say shit. But, yeah, that's crazy. And then
• 2:35
Speaker 3: I looked up the, like, I was like, I seen
• 2:37
Speaker 3: the Comerica, and I was like, oh, I wonder if
• 2:40
  Speaker 3: they're playing. They're playing at 6. I was like, I'm
• 2:42
  Speaker 3: going to go.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: Who are they playing tonight?
• 2:43
Speaker 3: They're playing the Seattle Mariners.
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: And I'm an Oakland A's fan, so I was like, cool,
• 2:47
Speaker 3: I can root for the Detroit Tigers because the Mariners
• 2:50
Speaker 3: are in our division. But I was like, cool, cool.
• 2:51
Speaker 3: So I'm going to go check it out.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: It's a great part. Yeah. You're going to like it
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: a lot.
• 2:54
  Speaker 3: I can't wait. I can't wait.
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: I'm hella excited. It's a great part.
• 2:58
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: And get some good food while you're here.
• 3:00
Speaker 3: Yeah. Like where? Where do you recommend? As someone that
• 3:03
  Speaker 3: knows food.
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: I love food.
• 3:05
Speaker 3: Yes. Where should I go?
• 3:07
Speaker 1: So some good authentic Detroit pizzas right across the street.
• 3:11
Speaker 1: Buddy's Pizza is really, really good.
• 3:14
Speaker 3: I love Detroit pizza. Do you have the square?
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: Yeah, the square.
• 3:16
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: With the sauce, a little sauce on top. Oh, it's
• 3:18
Speaker 1: so good. I used to work at their original one
• 3:20
Speaker 1: years ago. But that's a great place. Then right next
• 3:23
Speaker 1: door to there, the Detroit Beer Company has great food. Okay.
• 3:28
Speaker 1: There's really, really good food in.
• 3:29
Speaker 3: There, too. I'm excited. It's good. Yeah. It made me
• 3:32
Speaker 3: sick because I was thinking about that, too, last night.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: Because I got in yesterday, and I was like, oh,
• 3:36
Speaker 3: I want to eat and something. But I was like,
• 3:38
Speaker 3: I don't know where to go because I'm in Detroit.
• 3:40
Speaker 3: And I was like, and I just got here. And, like,
• 3:42
Speaker 3: you know, we're three hours ahead when I'm coming from
• 3:44
Speaker 3: the West Coast. So everything was, like, closed. I was like, fuck.
• 3:46
Speaker 3: I was going to start TikTok and stuff and seeing, like,
• 3:48
Speaker 3: you know, who– What's the best burrito or the best,
• 3:52
Speaker 3: you know, I always do them.
• 3:53
Speaker 1: In a different place. Oh, you got to go to
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: Mexican Town.
• 3:54
Speaker 3: Oh, there's Mexican Town?
• 3:55
Speaker 1: There's Mexican Town. Maybe like from here, like five, six
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: minutes from here.
• 4:00
Speaker 3: I rented a car, so I was like, I'm going to. Oh,
• 4:02
  Speaker 3: got to go.
• 4:02
Speaker 1: Good food. Mexican Village, Armando's, amazing, amazing food. The food
• 4:08
Speaker 1: trucks are even dope. You ever had burrito pizza?
• 4:11
  Speaker 3: No.
• 4:12
Speaker 1: Oh, shit is fire.
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: Oh, no way.
• 4:15
Speaker 3: Dude, and then also, too, I was driving when I
• 4:18
Speaker 3: was coming from the airport. And, like, I don't even
• 4:22
Speaker 3: know geography that well. But, like, it was so funny
• 4:24
Speaker 3: because as we were driving, I'm like, I was like, oh,
• 4:27
Speaker 3: if I take this left, I'll go to Canada?
• 4:30
Speaker 1: You will end up in Canada by mistake.
• 4:32
  Speaker 3: By mistake, yeah.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: And the cars will be on you. The dogs will
• 4:35
Speaker 1: be on you. It's happened. Really? Yeah, don't go out
• 4:38
Speaker 1: on a late night and have two drinks. That's great.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: And veer off to the left. You're in Canada. Yeah, yeah.
• 4:42
Speaker 3: I was like, dude, this is... I was like, that's crazy.
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: It's scary.
• 4:46
Speaker 3: And I was thinking in my head, I was like,
• 4:47
Speaker 3: I mean, is it easy to get into Canada, though?
• 4:50
Speaker 1: Well, it used to be so easy. Do you have a...
• 4:53
Speaker 1: You have your passport with you?
• 4:54
  Speaker 3: I do have a... I have a passport card. Okay.
• 4:56
Speaker 3: And then I have also, like, my driver's license is
• 4:58
Speaker 3: one of those enhanced ones.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: Enhanced, yeah. You should be able to go to Canada
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: with that.
• 5:03
Speaker 3: Because I was thinking about just fucking just going over
• 5:04
Speaker 3: there and, you know.
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: It's dope. I can't go.
• 5:07
  Speaker 3: Um....
• 5:09
Speaker 1: You get in a little trouble over here, they don't
• 5:11
Speaker 1: want to let you over there.
• 5:12
Speaker 3: They're all picky and shit.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: That's the only country I've been kicked out of.
• 5:15
  Speaker 3: That's hella funny.
• 5:16
Speaker 1: I'm kicked out of Canada. Some bullshit.
• 5:19
Speaker 3: Kicked out by the Canucks.
• 5:21
Speaker 1: But I live close to the, if you've seen, I
• 5:23
Speaker 1: have two bridges. The new one isn't open yet, but
• 5:25
Speaker 1: I live very close to that new bridge.
• 5:27
Speaker 3: Okay. I was looking, yeah, because when I land places, too,
• 5:31
Speaker 3: I always like to check the whole geography just in case,
• 5:33
Speaker 3: you know, so I know where I'm at. And then
• 5:34
Speaker 3: that's when I was like, oh damn, like, okay, like it's,
• 5:37
Speaker 3: we're this close. And then as we're, I'm driving here,
• 5:39
Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, if I take that, that left right there,
• 5:41
Speaker 3: I'm in Canada. And it's so funny because you take
• 5:43
Speaker 3: the other right and you're right back, you're in downtown.
• 5:45
  Speaker 3: I was like, it's like, I don't know if you've
• 5:47
Speaker 3: ever been to El Paso, but in El Paso, you
• 5:49
  Speaker 3: go to the downtown and there's, there's a, there's like
• 5:52
Speaker 3: a footbridge where you just walk over and you're in
• 5:54
Speaker 3: New Mexico. Really? Yeah. And I was like, that's great.
• 5:56
Speaker 3: And I said, fuck it, let's go. Me and this
• 5:59
Speaker 3: other fool went, we were like, cool. And he was like,
• 6:01
Speaker 3: cause it was, cause you're in Juarez, you're like in,
• 6:03
Speaker 3: It's funny because everybody in California is always like, when
• 6:08
Speaker 3: I go to TJ, they're like, yeah, but Juarez is crazy.
• 6:12
Speaker 3: Don't go to Juarez. And I was like, fuck it.
• 6:15
Speaker 3: So I was like, I want to check this out. Because, yeah,
• 6:16
Speaker 3: tell me not to. I'll go. So I went over there.
• 6:18
Speaker 3: And then I'm in Juarez, kicking it. And then the
• 6:21
Speaker 3: dude goes, where are you from? I go, I'm originally
• 6:23
Speaker 3: from California. And I've been to TJ before. He goes, oh,
• 6:26
Speaker 3: TJ is too bad. But we don't ever go over there.
• 6:28
Speaker 3: I go, both of you guys are just kidding.
• 6:29
Speaker 2: I was like, yeah.
• 6:31
Speaker 3: But he was like, no, if you want to find trouble,
• 6:32
Speaker 3: it'll find you. You'll find it. But, you know, you're cool.
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: You're cool.
• 6:35
Speaker 3: You're not going. I was like, yeah, yeah, fuck that.
• 6:37
  Speaker 3: I'm crazy.
• 6:37
Speaker 1: I'm here to have a good time, check it out
• 6:40
Speaker 1: and go and buy my business.
• 6:41
Speaker 3: Yeah. But they're trying to say they're safe. But it's like, dude,
• 6:43
Speaker 3: at night you can look over and you can see,
• 6:46
Speaker 3: you know, you can hear gunshots and you can see
• 6:48
Speaker 3: all because like in El Paso, you're on top like
• 6:51
Speaker 3: the hill and you could just look down and see
• 6:52
Speaker 3: all of what is as crazy as a trip. But, yeah,
• 6:55
Speaker 3: Canada is all nice, though, right?
• 6:57
Speaker 1: It is too nice. It's too nice. Their projects ain't
• 6:59
Speaker 1: even real projects. They only have real roaches. They're bougie roaches.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: And you've lived here all your life?
• 7:07
Speaker 1: For the most part. I'm originally from Alaska.
• 7:09
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Yeah, my dad was military.
• 7:12
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 7:13
Speaker 1: And I was born there in Anchorage on the Air
• 7:17
Speaker 1: Force Base, Elmendorf Air Force Base. And I came to
• 7:20
Speaker 1: Detroit when I was six.
• 7:21
  Speaker 3: Okay. Okay.
• 7:22
Speaker 1: And so we moved around a little bit because we
• 7:24
Speaker 1: weren't sure we wanted to settle here. My mom's from Brooklyn,
• 7:26
Speaker 1: New York. My dad's from Detroit. And so we went
• 7:29
Speaker 1: to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for a little bit. And my mom
• 7:34
Speaker 1: was like, I don't want to be here. It was
• 7:36
Speaker 1: really like the movie, the show, The Wire. That's how
• 7:39
Speaker 1: it was back then in the late 80s, mid-80s. It
• 7:42
Speaker 1: was like that for real. And she's like, you know
• 7:44
Speaker 1: it's bad when you'd rather live in Detroit.
• 7:47
Speaker 3: Right? During that time. Damn.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: So we ended up back here. And I've been here
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: ever since.
• 7:53
Speaker 3: Yeah. And I was going to say, too, and then
• 7:56
Speaker 3: you started stand-up, what? Like recently or not recently?
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: It's been 11 years.
• 8:01
  Speaker 3: 11 years.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, I started in 2015. I was on this ski trip.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: And we took the bus. It's an MLK ski trip
• 8:08
Speaker 1: that they have every year. And Gatlinburg, Tennessee is about
• 8:12
Speaker 1: a 10-hour drive. We took the bus. The whole way there,
• 8:15
Speaker 1: I'm making them laugh, cracking them up. And then they
• 8:18
Speaker 1: had a comedy show, and I really got the bug
• 8:20
Speaker 1: because I was like, I could do this. And so
• 8:22
Speaker 1: on the way back, they're like, you know, we're going
• 8:23
Speaker 1: to have a talent show on the bus to keep
• 8:24
Speaker 1: people awake, you know. And my friends are like, get
• 8:27
Speaker 1: up there and tell some jokes. And so I go up.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: I do four minutes of just talking about the weekend,
• 8:31
Speaker 1: making them laugh about the weekend. And there was a
• 8:34
Speaker 1: guy on the bus who was like, hey, you're natural.
• 8:36
Speaker 1: You're funny. I think you can do this. I'm going
• 8:38
Speaker 1: to take you to a club. He took me to
• 8:41
Speaker 1: the biggest comedy night at that time in the city
• 8:43
Speaker 1: was ran by a guy named Kool-Aid, who recently passed away. But, yeah,
• 8:47
Speaker 1: Kool-Aid was the big comic here in the city. On
• 8:49
Speaker 1: Monday night, he ran it at Baker's. He took me
• 8:52
Speaker 1: and introduced him. One Monday, the next Monday, I was there,
• 8:56
Speaker 1: packed house. Like, everybody named Mama came to see me.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: And he asked, I'm cocky. I don't know comedy for real.
• 9:03
Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
• 9:04
Speaker 1: He's like, can you do seven minutes?
• 9:05
  Speaker 3: I'm like.
• 9:06
Speaker 1: I could do seven minutes. Not knowing. Now I know
• 9:09
Speaker 1: seven minutes is an eternity.
• 9:10
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: Especially to a newer comic.
• 9:12
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
• 9:13
Speaker 1: It's forever. But I got up there, and the people
• 9:16
Speaker 1: were there to see me, you know, so they were
• 9:18
Speaker 1: rocking with me. I probably wasn't the best, but the
• 9:21
Speaker 1: audience was there for me.
• 9:22
  Speaker 3: Support.
• 9:23
Speaker 1: 22 minutes. My very first time.
• 9:25
  Speaker 3: No.
• 9:26
Speaker 1: He just let me go. He didn't like me. He
• 9:27
Speaker 1: didn't bring me down. He just let me go.
• 9:29
  Speaker 3: Okay. Okay.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: And he said, you lied. You've done this before. I said, no,
• 9:32
Speaker 1: I've been doing it all my life, you know, just
• 9:34
Speaker 1: not on stage. And that was it.
• 9:36
Speaker 3: Just got to figure out how to amplify it. It's
• 9:38
Speaker 3: funny because you said you took a trip. You're always
• 9:41
  Speaker 3: taking trips.
• 9:42
  Speaker 1: I'm always gone.
• 9:42
Speaker 3: You're always gone. Did you ever go back to Africa? No. Okay.
• 9:47
Speaker 1: No, we were supposed to go in October. I went
• 9:49
Speaker 1: in last, when did we go?
• 9:51
Speaker 3: We went in. June.
• 9:52
  Speaker 1: June.
• 9:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was a junior. Yeah, yeah.
• 9:55
Speaker 1: And I was supposed to go back to October, but
• 9:56
Speaker 1: I don't have to go back because it was very
• 9:58
Speaker 1: close to where we were already. And we didn't really
• 10:00
Speaker 1: get out to see much.
• 10:02
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: But I didn't have to go. I was okay.
• 10:07
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: And then my dude wasn't going with me. So it
• 10:11
Speaker 1: was like, you know.
• 10:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, because being away for that long, too, again, or
• 10:15
Speaker 3: even all that, just the airplane trips, it's like, yeah,
• 10:17
Speaker 3: if you're going to be gone from your significant other, too,
• 10:19
Speaker 3: it's like, all right, we need to make a little
• 10:21
Speaker 3: more adjustments or it needs to be way, way worth
• 10:22
Speaker 3: the while for it.
• 10:23
Speaker 1: And it wasn't for work. That second trip wasn't for work,
• 10:26
Speaker 1: you know, because that was tough. That was tough for
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: what we did.
• 10:28
Speaker 3: That was tough. It's a trip when I see it
• 10:30
Speaker 3: sometimes on– I see it on a movie. I was
• 10:32
Speaker 3: watching a movie, and it was like– it said, you know,
• 10:37
Speaker 3: it was like Djibouti Air Force Base– no, no, no,
• 10:39
Speaker 3: it didn't say Djibouti Air Force Base. It said– What
• 10:42
Speaker 3: the hell is the base called? It's in French.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Yeah. I know the movie you're talking about because I
• 10:47
Speaker 1: just recently saw it.
• 10:48
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but I know exactly.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: It's going to blow my mind.
• 10:52
Speaker 2: Oh, that's where we were.
• 10:53
Speaker 3: Yeah. And I go, that's in Djibouti. And I go, yeah.
• 10:55
Speaker 3: And then the next thing they showed, oh, it was Sicario.
• 10:58
  Speaker 3: I was watching Sicario 1 or 2.
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 10:59
Speaker 3: And they were doing an interrogation inside Casablanca. like one
• 11:07
Speaker 3: of the cargo things. And I was telling my wife
• 11:09
Speaker 3: and I was telling the stepdad, I was like, yo,
• 11:10
Speaker 3: I was like, that's where we slept at. We slept
• 11:12
Speaker 3: in those things. And I go, there was an air
• 11:14
Speaker 3: conditioner and it was like, it was good. The air
• 11:16
Speaker 3: conditioner worked really well though. I ain't gonna lie.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: It worked too good. Cause I was going outside cause
• 11:20
Speaker 1: I was too cold. I adjusted to a hundred plus
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: degree weather.
• 11:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a trip. And then the internet too,
• 11:27
Speaker 3: we had to like buy internet to like finally get it.
• 11:29
Speaker 3: It was, it was interesting. It was an interesting base and, Yes.
• 11:33
  Speaker 3: I can't remember. Lejeune.
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: Lejeune.
• 11:36
  Speaker 3: Something.
• 11:37
  Speaker 1: It's L-E-J.
• 11:39
Speaker 3: Some shit. Ah, fuck. I can't remember now. But, yeah, no,
• 11:43
Speaker 3: that was a trip. It was funny, too, because, like,
• 11:44
Speaker 3: when we were in Ethiopia really quick for a second,
• 11:46
Speaker 3: because we landed there, and I went out for a
• 11:49
Speaker 3: little bit really quick. I just went, like, I started, like,
• 11:51
Speaker 3: just exploring a little bit on the side. And I
• 11:53
Speaker 3: was like, hey, this is a big-ass metropolis. Yeah. I
• 11:56
Speaker 3: was like, okay. I was like. The way that they
• 11:58
Speaker 3: portray it to us all the time, it's nothing like that.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: Exactly. And it's crazy once you get there. And a
• 12:04
Speaker 1: lot of these countries in Africa on the continent aren't
• 12:09
Speaker 1: what we've been seeing all our lives. You don't have
• 12:12
Speaker 1: the poor kids with the flies. I'm pretty sure it
• 12:14
Speaker 1: exists because poverty exists everywhere. But these people are thriving.
• 12:18
Speaker 1: They have big businesses, big buildings, everything that we have here.
• 12:22
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
• 12:22
Speaker 1: Everything that we have here.
• 12:23
Speaker 3: Everything. And it was a trip, too. And then there was...
• 12:27
Speaker 3: There was something, oh, oh, that was another thing too.
• 12:29
Speaker 3: So when we were doing, um, when we did, when
• 12:32
Speaker 3: we were in Doha, we went to Doha and then
• 12:35
Speaker 3: we went somewhere else. Well, they were, uh, when they
• 12:37
Speaker 3: were bombing, um, that base, I was.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: Telling, I was telling my wife, I go, I was,
• 12:41
Speaker 1: we were just there.
• 12:42
Speaker 3: We were just there.
• 12:43
Speaker 1: It was literally days. It wasn't even, we weren't, we
• 12:46
Speaker 1: weren't even home yet.
• 12:47
Speaker 3: You remember that? Yeah. It was a trip. Cause I go,
• 12:49
Speaker 3: cause the paper, the people that were filming the, the
• 12:51
Speaker 3: bombing of the base, um, I was telling my wife,
• 12:54
Speaker 3: I go, that's pretty much the angle of where the
• 12:57
Speaker 3: gym is at. I go, because we were in the gym.
• 12:58
Speaker 3: And I go, you could see the base. And I go,
• 13:00
Speaker 3: that's great. They're filming in the hotel they were at.
• 13:02
  Speaker 3: And I go, I hella didn't feel safe. And I
• 13:04
Speaker 3: remember telling you guys, too. I go, I took all
• 13:07
Speaker 3: the knives out of the kitchen and kept them with
• 13:09
Speaker 3: me in the bedroom just in case. Because I go,
• 13:11
Speaker 3: I could feel it. They don't like us here.
• 13:13
Speaker 1: It was an uncomfortable feeling. I knew the energy. was different,
• 13:19
Speaker 1: especially in Bahrain. I felt it in Bahrain. I felt
• 13:23
Speaker 1: it in Bahrain. And then when we got to the
• 13:25
Speaker 1: next place, remember they were bringing all the people from
• 13:28
Speaker 1: Bahrain to where we were?
• 13:31
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 13:31
Speaker 1: Because that's when the bombing happened. We weren't even home yet.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: We were just in another city. Remember they were taking
• 13:36
Speaker 1: the buses? At the hotel in.
• 13:40
Speaker 3: In that place that we're in.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: Was it Italy that we were in? It was either
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: Italy or.
• 13:44
  Speaker 3: I think Naples.
• 13:45
Speaker 1: Or Naples. When they were, that hotel, they had the
• 13:47
Speaker 1: buses pulling up with the families.
• 13:49
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: That flew in, that they flew over from.
• 13:51
Speaker 3: And they told us, too, they go, it's going to
• 13:52
Speaker 3: be light tonight because there's real world shit going on. Yes.
• 13:55
Speaker 3: And I was like, ew. I was like, okay. And
• 13:57
Speaker 3: then I started making jokes about that on stage because
• 14:01
Speaker 3: I usually, I was like, I go, yeah, they, yeah.
• 14:04
Speaker 3: they were like, it's time for you guys to go.
• 14:05
Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah.
• 14:07
Speaker 1: You're going to tell me twice.
• 14:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, I got way more respect for military than I
• 14:12
Speaker 3: ever did. I was like, I had respect already, but
• 14:13
Speaker 3: I got even more now because I was like, yo, yes,
• 14:16
Speaker 3: send me home. I'm good. And then they sent me,
• 14:18
Speaker 3: they sent me and Eric because they didn't, because they
• 14:20
Speaker 3: couldn't send, you made it, you made it though. You
• 14:22
Speaker 3: got to make your flight back home on time.
• 14:24
  Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
• 14:25
Speaker 1: I was running. I was the last person on the flight.
• 14:27
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 14:27
Speaker 1: I was musty by the time I got there.
• 14:29
Speaker 3: We didn't even get to say goodbyes either because you
• 14:31
Speaker 3: were like, I got to go. I was like, all right, go, cut, cut, cut.
• 14:33
Speaker 3: I was like, run. And then, um, So me and Eric,
• 14:36
Speaker 3: they sent us, they made us miss our last flight.
• 14:38
Speaker 3: So then they were like, you have to stay here
• 14:40
Speaker 3: for another 12 hours in Spain. And then after that Spain,
• 14:43
Speaker 3: they sent us to Mexico City. And then we had
• 14:46
Speaker 3: to fly. Then we had to fly back. He went
• 14:47
Speaker 3: to Houston and I went to Vegas. But it was
• 14:49
Speaker 3: a trip because I go, dog, they're sending us to
• 14:52
Speaker 3: Mexico City. And I was like, my name is Carlos Rodriguez, dog.
• 14:55
  Speaker 2: I don't know if they'll.
• 14:56
Speaker 1: Let me back. You don't know a lick of Spanish either.
• 14:58
  Speaker 2: I don't know a lick of Spanish.
• 15:00
  Speaker 3: And it's deep.
• 15:00
Speaker 2: I was like, okay.
• 15:03
Speaker 3: And then Sydney got screwed because she had to stay
• 15:06
Speaker 3: there like an extra day and a half. And she
• 15:08
Speaker 3: was like, yeah, I was in my hotel room. Because
• 15:10
Speaker 3: it's the end of the trip. You're spent.
• 15:12
Speaker 1: We're exhausted. And I tell people all the time, you
• 15:16
Speaker 1: look at what somebody's doing and you say, man, I
• 15:18
Speaker 1: wish I could do that. You don't know what that
• 15:20
Speaker 1: person is doing. You don't know. It looks good when
• 15:24
Speaker 1: we take pictures and say what we are. But you
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: don't know that I've been up since 5 a.m. getting
• 15:29
Speaker 1: dressed to be downstairs in the lobby at 6.30 a.m.
• 15:32
Speaker 1: to go and do a show at 8 in the morning,
• 15:34
Speaker 1: to then have to do another show at noon, and
• 15:37
Speaker 1: have to do another show at 5, and try to
• 15:40
Speaker 1: eat in between and get a break in between. And
• 15:43
Speaker 1: then the next day, I get back up at 3
• 15:46
Speaker 1: in the morning to get on a flight to go
• 15:47
Speaker 1: to a whole other city, another country. And so you
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: don't know what we're doing. You don't know what I
• 15:52
Speaker 1: have to want it. And I promise you, a lot
• 15:54
Speaker 1: of people can't do it.
• 15:55
Speaker 3: It's not easy. it's not easy. And on top of
• 15:57
Speaker 3: that too, a testament to like, uh, to, to how
• 16:00
Speaker 3: like we were a grown, grown and professional too. Cause
• 16:03
Speaker 3: like there was four of us and we, none of
• 16:05
Speaker 3: us gotten arguments. None of us got in trouble. Yeah. Completely. Yeah.
• 16:09
Speaker 3: Well I knew, I knew Sydney and I knew you
• 16:12
Speaker 3: and I knew, and I knew Eric. So I'm the
• 16:13
Speaker 3: only one that knew everybody at once. But like I was, uh,
• 16:17
Speaker 3: it was good because like, um, No one got on
• 16:20
Speaker 3: anyone's nerves. That was another thing, too. At one point,
• 16:24
Speaker 3: you'd be like, man, I can't talk to this motherfucker
• 16:26
  Speaker 3: no more.
• 16:27
Speaker 1: I was ready for that, but it just went smooth.
• 16:29
Speaker 3: It went smooth. Everyone was like, cool. Because it was good.
• 16:31
Speaker 3: If someone, like Eric one day, he just was like, hey, man,
• 16:34
Speaker 3: I'm not feeling it, James. All right, well, then stay
• 16:36
Speaker 3: in your room, man. It's all good. Don't even worry
• 16:37
Speaker 3: about it. You don't have to strain yourself out. Everything's chill.
• 16:41
Speaker 1: We rallied behind one another. We could tell when it
• 16:43
Speaker 1: was a low day for Sidney, when it was a
• 16:44
Speaker 1: low day for me, when we just got behind one another.
• 16:47
Speaker 1: And that's amazing. I believe in fate and destiny, and
• 16:52
Speaker 1: that was definitely meant to be for us to come
• 16:55
Speaker 1: together because it definitely made me a stronger person to
• 16:59
Speaker 1: be out of the country. We've gone for over 20 days.
• 17:02
Speaker 3: Yeah. And airplanes. I think it was like 20, 24,
• 17:08
  Speaker 3: 25 flights.
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: Yes.
• 17:09
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 17:10
  Speaker 1: I was tallying them up. I can't remember where I
• 17:12
Speaker 1: stopped at. I stopped at like 20 somewhere.
• 17:14
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 17:14
Speaker 1: We did over 20 flights.
• 17:15
Speaker 3: We did something like 96 hours in the air. I
• 17:18
Speaker 3: remember like tallying it out too as well. I was like, dude,
• 17:20
Speaker 3: this is nuts. And I was like, everyone's like, oh,
• 17:21
Speaker 3: the military. I was like, yeah, military gigs are cool.
• 17:23
Speaker 3: But it's like, military don't fuck around. They don't let
• 17:25
Speaker 3: you hang out. They're like, you here to work. That's it.
• 17:29
Speaker 1: Don't leave this base.
• 17:30
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 17:31
Speaker 1: What's the name was fun? Spain was really fun.
• 17:34
  Speaker 3: Spain was fun.
• 17:36
Speaker 1: Spain and Greece were my favorite.
• 17:37
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: I can't say which one I liked the best.
• 17:40
  Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
• 17:40
Speaker 1: But Spain was, Spain, remember the lady in Greece?
• 17:44
Speaker 3: They were super nice. They took us to a beach. Oh,
• 17:46
Speaker 3: my God. They took us to a nice beach.
• 17:47
Speaker 1: To that nice walk, to that restaurant.
• 17:50
Speaker 3: And they kept ordering and ordering. And I was like, yo.
• 17:53
Speaker 3: And my old brain was like, hey, man, who the
• 17:55
  Speaker 3: fuck paying for.
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: All this?
• 17:58
  Speaker 3: I got $ 10. What's the transfer rate over here?
• 18:01
  Speaker 1: I got a hot 10, OK?
• 18:03
Speaker 3: We'll be working. Is the dollar that strong right now?
• 18:06
Speaker 1: That restaurant on the beach was beautiful.
• 18:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, the restaurant on the beach was beautiful. And then
• 18:10
Speaker 3: when the lady took us, too, to, like, on the.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: When we went walking off the coast or whatever.
• 18:16
Speaker 3: It was really fun. It was a really cool trip.
• 18:18
Speaker 3: Really nice and chill, though. It was chill, even though
• 18:20
Speaker 3: we did have to hustle and bustle and do the things.
• 18:23
Speaker 3: But it was, like, everyone knew their part. Everyone, you know.
• 18:25
Speaker 1: You got to go to Pompeii.
• 18:26
Speaker 3: Got to go to Pompeii. Yeah, really quick. Yeah, that
• 18:28
Speaker 3: was cool. And then, yeah, no, no, no. I really
• 18:31
Speaker 3: enjoyed it. And, like, I was... And that was funny, too, because, like,
• 18:36
Speaker 3: I wanted to go to... What was another place, too,
• 18:40
Speaker 3: I wanted to go while we were there? It was
• 18:41
Speaker 3: somewhere else, but then we couldn't.
• 18:42
Speaker 1: We were supposed to do something else, but.
• 18:46
Speaker 3: It was hella shit. It was a lot. That trip
• 18:48
Speaker 3: was a lot. But no, and then we came back,
• 18:51
Speaker 3: and then, yeah, the Sacramento thing. Because you were supposed
• 18:54
Speaker 3: to come to Vegas. Yes.
• 18:56
Speaker 2: You're going to come out to Vegas.
• 18:58
  Speaker 1: I'm coming.
• 18:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, because I was like.
• 18:59
Speaker 1: This would be the perfect time. Like June, July, August
• 19:01
Speaker 1: is great for me.
• 19:02
Speaker 3: I know. I was telling my wife. I was like,
• 19:02
Speaker 3: she said she was going to cook for us.
• 19:04
Speaker 1: I want to cook for you guys.
• 19:05
  Speaker 3: Yeah, because you.
• 19:05
  Speaker 1: I'm a good ass.
• 19:06
Speaker 3: You say you throw down. Yes.
• 19:07
Speaker 1: How long are you going to be here?
• 19:09
Speaker 3: I'll be here until Sunday. Okay. I think Sunday or
• 19:13
Speaker 3: maybe even Monday. I'm not too sure yet. I have
• 19:15
Speaker 3: to check the flights.
• 19:15
Speaker 1: Where are you staying at?
• 19:17
Speaker 3: I'm staying over at the Cambria.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: I love that hotel. That's one of my favorite hotels.
• 19:21
Speaker 3: It's like right here. It's super close.
• 19:23
Speaker 1: I love that. I just like that hotel. When I
• 19:25
Speaker 1: go in other cities, if I can, I'll stay there.
• 19:28
  Speaker 1: It's like a cute little.
• 19:29
Speaker 3: Little boutique. I like these Cambria ones because they have
• 19:32
Speaker 3: a couple of them.
• 19:33
Speaker 1: You know my favorite part? They have the Bluetooth mirror.
• 19:35
Speaker 1: Do they have the Bluetooth mirror in that one where
• 19:37
Speaker 1: you can like Sync your phone to it.
• 19:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, sync your phone in, then you can listen to it.
• 19:40
Speaker 1: And play your music while you're in bed. Yeah.
• 19:42
Speaker 3: That was my favorite thing. I threw YouTube on it,
• 19:44
Speaker 3: and I was like, yeah. I was like, oh, this
• 19:45
Speaker 3: is cool. I like this. This is nice.
• 19:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna get you some dinner um you said
• 19:48
  Speaker 1: you leave sunday.
• 19:49
Speaker 3: Yeah i leave sunday yeah and i'm usually done with
• 19:52
Speaker 3: this stuff around four what you got so yeah.
• 19:55
Speaker 1: I'll bring you dinner to your hotel so you can
• 19:56
Speaker 1: have some brownie food i would love that is it.
• 20:00
Speaker 3: Something that you like a lot only thing i don't
• 20:01
Speaker 3: eat is is seafood Everything, yeah, yeah, that's the only
• 20:04
Speaker 3: thing I don't, like, my dad told me a lie
• 20:06
Speaker 3: when I was a kid, and I believed it.
• 20:10
Speaker 1: Our parents lied to us a lot.
• 20:11
  Speaker 3: Yeah, so, like.
• 20:12
Speaker 1: What was your dad's lie?
• 20:13
Speaker 3: Well, so I was eating a fish stick once, and
• 20:15
Speaker 3: he was like, oh, you like that? And I go, yeah, yeah,
• 20:17
Speaker 3: it's good. And he was like, oh, you think it's good?
• 20:20
Speaker 3: And I go, yeah. He goes, you like fish? You
• 20:23
Speaker 3: know where they live at, right? And I go, yeah,
• 20:24
Speaker 3: they live in the water. He goes, well, where do
• 20:26
Speaker 3: you go to the bathroom at? And I go, in
• 20:27
Speaker 3: the toilet. He goes, what's in there?
• 20:29
Speaker 1: And I go, water.
• 20:29
Speaker 3: And he goes, like, that's what they live in? That's
• 20:31
Speaker 3: what they live in? And as soon as he said that,
• 20:34
Speaker 3: I was like, he's right. This is disgusting. And I
• 20:37
Speaker 3: never touched seafood again. I think I was about six
• 20:39
Speaker 3: or seven years old and I never, and my mom
• 20:41
Speaker 3: was hella mad at him. She was like, cause my
• 20:43
Speaker 3: mom likes seafood, but he, my dad doesn't. So now
• 20:45
  Speaker 3: I don't. And I don't, I don't fuck with it.
• 20:48
Speaker 3: I remember they tried to get me to eat sushi
• 20:49
Speaker 3: and I was like, first off, I don't eat cooked food.
• 20:51
  Speaker 1: I don't want it raw.
• 20:53
Speaker 3: Yeah. They're like, oh, it's so good though.
• 20:56
Speaker 1: My mother told me if I swallowed bubble gum, that
• 20:58
Speaker 1: it would glue my butthole together.
• 21:01
Speaker 3: One time I did that, I was like, oh, no.
• 21:05
Speaker 3: I didn't do it on purpose. Oh, that's so funny. Yeah, yeah. Damn,
• 21:08
Speaker 3: my parents just said if I swallowed the gum, it
• 21:10
Speaker 3: would stay on my heart for like three, five years.
• 21:12
Speaker 1: That's just as bad, too.
• 21:13
Speaker 3: Yeah. They're like, if you swallow too much gum, you're
• 21:16
Speaker 3: going to die. Yours is like, you're going to get constipated.
• 21:18
  Speaker 3: You're going to.
• 21:18
Speaker 1: Glue your butthole together. I didn't eat pancakes for.
• 21:22
Speaker 3: Years, though. Really? Why? So.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: Two reasons why. I didn't grow up in the beginning.
• 21:29
Speaker 1: We didn't have a lot of money. And so you
• 21:31
Speaker 1: remember the biscuit box?
• 21:33
  Speaker 3: Yes.
• 21:34
Speaker 1: So you can make pancakes out.
• 21:35
Speaker 3: Of biscuits back in the day.
• 21:36
Speaker 1: So we followed the recipe. We ended up making 30 pancakes.
• 21:40
Speaker 1: And we got done. We had these thick ass pancakes.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: And no honey or no syrup. And my dad made...
• 21:47
Speaker 1: And it was just cold ass Thick-ass pancakes. And my
• 21:50
Speaker 1: dad was like, you don't eat the pancakes. Y'all maybe
• 21:52
Speaker 1: going to eat them. Right.
• 21:53
  Speaker 3: Oh, shit.
• 21:53
Speaker 1: That's one. And then Denny's when we were little, right?
• 21:57
Speaker 1: I couldn't wait to go to Denny's because they put
• 21:59
Speaker 1: ice cream on the pancakes.
• 22:01
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 22:01
  Speaker 1: So I thought.
• 22:02
  Speaker 3: That is nice.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: That was butter. And I was like, I haven't eaten pancakes.
• 22:08
Speaker 1: It took me until maybe like three years ago to
• 22:10
  Speaker 1: eat a pancake.
• 22:10
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 22:11
Speaker 1: By the time I was seven.
• 22:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not a big fan of pancakes, too. Like,
• 22:14
Speaker 3: because there's either, like, waffles, French toast, or pancakes. I'm
• 22:17
Speaker 3: always either a French toast person first or waffle.
• 22:19
Speaker 1: I'll French toast before anything.
• 22:21
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 22:22
Speaker 1: But, yeah, I just ate a pancake. I was somewhere,
• 22:25
Speaker 1: and one of my kids ordered a chocolate chip pancake,
• 22:27
Speaker 1: and I tried it, and I.
• 22:28
Speaker 3: Thought it was not bad. You just reminded me of
• 22:30
Speaker 3: something too special about French toast. Like, I want to
• 22:32
Speaker 3: try it. I've seen it on TikTok, and I want
• 22:34
Speaker 3: to see if it works. But they were like, you know,
• 22:36
Speaker 3: you like, you know, you scramble the egg, or you
• 22:38
Speaker 3: put your cinnamon in it, or your vanilla, or your milk.
• 22:40
Speaker 3: And this lady was like, you know what you should
• 22:43
Speaker 3: do is just get Dreyer's ice cream.
• 22:45
  Speaker 1: I saw that.
• 22:46
Speaker 3: You seen that, right? They dipped it in the ice cream?
• 22:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, they let it melt.
• 22:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I was like, they were like, it has
• 22:50
Speaker 3: everything in there. It has the cream, it has the butter.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: That's some fat shit.
• 22:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's some fat shit.
• 22:54
Speaker 1: I'm going to dip my bread in ice cream.
• 22:56
Speaker 3: And I'll, yeah, have my French toast. I was like,
• 22:58
Speaker 3: I want to try this. This is one of those, like, babe,
• 23:00
Speaker 3: let's go to the store right now. Right. Go get that.
• 23:03
Speaker 1: So, yeah, TikTok, I have you doing some shit.
• 23:06
Speaker 3: That's some high food shit.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, have you, what did I say? They have you...
• 23:12
Speaker 1: making a roux for everything. Like, a roux for greens. Like,
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: they're greens. I don't need a roux for greens.
• 23:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't even know what a roux was until TikTok.
• 23:19
  Speaker 3: I was like, oh, that's what that's called? I didn't
• 23:21
  Speaker 3: even know that.
• 23:22
Speaker 1: It's gravy. It's the best gravy base.
• 23:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't know. But I'd seen it before and, like,
• 23:26
  Speaker 3: I've done it before. I didn't know that's what it
• 23:28
Speaker 3: was called. I just listened to whatever my mom said
• 23:30
Speaker 3: or whatever. They're saying, you got to do this first
• 23:32
Speaker 3: and then do this and then do that. So it
• 23:33
Speaker 3: was all just steps. I didn't know it had a
• 23:35
Speaker 3: name for it. I'm like, oh, okay. But, yeah, they
• 23:37
Speaker 3: were trying to put that on everything. Oh, that's right. Okay,
• 23:40
Speaker 3: so we have... So we have this one section in
• 23:44
Speaker 3: the podcast called Good to Know.
• 23:47
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 23:47
Speaker 3: Because this is right here. This is called Get to Know.
• 23:49
Speaker 3: And then the other one is Good to Know. So
• 23:51
Speaker 3: we got ten trivia questions. Are you down for some trivia?
• 23:53
  Speaker 1: I'm ready.
• 23:55
Speaker 3: Cool, cool, cool. Let's see. All right. Late reply. Who's this?

Speaker 3: I should be more prepared. I am more prepared. Oh,
• 24:10
Speaker 3: here it is. There it is. I already had it open.
• 24:12
Speaker 3: and now I don't have it open you son of
• 24:15
Speaker 3: a bitch alright so the questions are uh uh uh

• 24:39
Speaker 3: for you is I don't know where uh it goes
• 24:43
Speaker 3: Which travels faster, sound or light?
• 24:56
  Speaker 1: Light.
• 24:57
Speaker 3: Boom, light. You are correct. Boom. All right, one. You
• 25:00
Speaker 3: got one. What year did MTV launch?
• 25:05
  Speaker 1: I want to say 1982.
• 25:08
  Speaker 3: 1982?
• 25:10
  Speaker 1: Oh, close.
• 25:10
Speaker 3: Three? No. One? Yes, 81.
• 25:14
  Speaker 1: Yeah, it's more.
• 25:15
Speaker 3: They shut it down now. They just ended it. There's
• 25:18
  Speaker 3: no more MTV.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: What? Not like music MTV.
• 25:23
Speaker 3: No, MTV's gone. There's no such thing as MTV anymore.
• 25:27
Speaker 1: It shaped my life.
• 25:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, right? What was your favorite show on MTV?
• 25:33
Speaker 1: I would say the one I was on, Cart in
• 25:35
Speaker 1: the Act. But, you know, real world.
• 25:39
  Speaker 3: Real World?
• 25:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, I grew up in the 90s. That first season,
• 25:42
  Speaker 1: Real World.
• 25:43
  Speaker 3: Did you... Which.
• 25:46
Speaker 1: It was Real World New York.
• 25:48
Speaker 3: Wait, it says not entirely because the network is permanently
• 25:50
Speaker 3: shut down and dedicated to music-only channels. What? It's completely
• 25:56
  Speaker 3: shut down.
• 25:56
  Speaker 1: That's crazy.
• 25:57
Speaker 3: I was going to say, what was your season?
• 26:01
Speaker 1: It was season one.
• 26:02
Speaker 3: Season one? Oh, the first season.
• 26:03
Speaker 1: That was the one with Heather... I believe it was.
• 26:07
Speaker 3: Oh, New York, right? Yeah. And Eric.
• 26:09
Speaker 1: Heather B., Eric. David, he was a comedian.
• 26:14
  Speaker 2: No, no, no.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: That was the second one because he was on there
• 26:16
  Speaker 1: with Tammy.
• 26:16
Speaker 3: He was at LA.
• 26:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, that was LA. But yeah, it was Heather, Eric.
• 26:22
Speaker 1: Eric was a black guy with a fade, right? Was
• 26:26
  Speaker 1: that one Eric?
• 26:28
Speaker 3: No, Eric was a white dude.
• 26:29
Speaker 1: Who was the black guy that ended up being a
• 26:31
Speaker 1: journalist and stuff like that?
• 26:33
Speaker 3: Oh, and they were always getting an argument. Him and
• 26:36
Speaker 3: the white girl. I can't remember what his name was.
• 26:38
Speaker 3: But yeah, he became an actor. Fuck, what was his name?
• 26:43
  Speaker 3: I totally forgot.
• 26:43
  Speaker 1: It's not Kevin.
• 26:46
Speaker 3: Paramount has a reunion show. It had a whole reunion
• 26:50
Speaker 3: season where they went back to a house and they
• 26:52
Speaker 3: lived together for another six weeks. And it was interesting.
• 26:57
Speaker 3: They only did New York and... New Orleans and L.A.
• 27:03
Speaker 3: They only did three seasons where they brought everyone back
• 27:05
Speaker 3: 20 years later, 30 years later, and they all lived
• 27:08
Speaker 3: in the house. It was interesting. It was crazy.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: That just shaped our childhood.
• 27:12
Speaker 3: Yeah. My biggest guilty pleasure, though, was the challenge. I
• 27:16
Speaker 3: like when Rose was versus the real world. Oh, that's
• 27:19
  Speaker 3: the best. I don't know. That's my guilty pleasure. I
• 27:21
Speaker 3: was like, Hillary, the owner of Mic Drop, she's really
• 27:24
Speaker 3: big into it, too.
• 27:25
  Speaker 1: Oh, yeah?
• 27:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. I had said it one time. She was like, wait,
• 27:27
Speaker 3: hold on. How do you know that? And I'm like, oh,
• 27:30
  Speaker 3: it's CT.
• 27:32
Speaker 1: I watch a lot of Jersey Shore with my kids.
• 27:34
Speaker 3: Oh, okay. The Jersey Shore. Yeah. I like the programming. Yeah.
• 27:39
Speaker 3: And now it's gone completely. That sucks. But, okay, so
• 27:43
  Speaker 3: you got, okay.
• 27:44
  Speaker 1: I got one.
• 27:45
Speaker 3: We got one. Okay. And there's question three. What Movie
• 27:49
Speaker 3: is the quote you had me at hello from.
• 27:53
Speaker 1: Oh, shut up. That's an old movie. And I like
• 27:57
Speaker 1: old movies. You had me at hello. I was going
• 28:02
Speaker 1: to say Sleeps in Seattle, but no. It's older. It's
• 28:05
Speaker 1: much older than that.
• 28:06
Speaker 3: It's not too much. Actually, no, it's newer. It's newer
• 28:09
  Speaker 3: than that.
• 28:10
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 28:10
Speaker 3: I'll give you a hint. Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise.
• 28:18
Speaker 1: It's not Forrest Gump. You said Tom Cruise. I have
• 28:22
  Speaker 1: no clue.
• 28:23
  Speaker 3: Jerry Maguire.
• 28:25
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 28:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, with Renee Zellweger.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: I said Tom Hanks.
• 28:29
  Speaker 3: Shit. I know.
• 28:30
Speaker 2: I was about to correct you.
• 28:31
Speaker 3: I was like, I think she's singing Tom Hanks. One
• 28:36
  Speaker 3: of them Tom.
• 28:37
Speaker 1: One of the white Toms. All right, here we go.
• 28:40
Speaker 3: We're going to do a more entertainment-based. Actor Nicolas Cage
• 28:45
Speaker 3: is the nephew to what famous director?
• 28:49
Speaker 1: This is stupid. Who came up with these questions?
• 28:53
Speaker 3: This one handsome gentleman that I met.
• 28:55
Speaker 1: Famous director. So famous director, I would say Spielberg.
• 29:07
  Speaker 3: No.
• 29:07
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 29:08
  Speaker 3: Francis Ford Coppola.
• 29:09
Speaker 1: Who the fuck is that?
• 29:10
Speaker 3: He directed all the Godfathers.
• 29:11
Speaker 1: Francis Ford Coppola. Don't nobody know?
• 29:13
Speaker 2: I know the movie now.
• 29:16
  Speaker 1: I'm a kid. I don't know who directed the shit.
• 29:18
Speaker 3: She said, I'm not paying attention to the best grip.
• 29:21
Speaker 1: I'm not reading the credits.
• 29:22
Speaker 3: Yeah. All right, so, okay, question five. It says, how
• 29:27
Speaker 3: many ghosts show up in a Christmas carol?
• 29:30
  Speaker 1: Three.
• 29:32
  Speaker 3: Is it three?
• 29:32
Speaker 1: Yeah. Present, future, past.
• 29:36
  Speaker 3: It's four.
• 29:37
  Speaker 1: No, it's not.
• 29:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, because... Ichabod Crane comes and talks to him and says,
• 29:42
Speaker 3: you're going to be visited by three ghosts.
• 29:44
Speaker 1: He comes first. Oh, that's some bullshit. You know what?
• 29:48
  Speaker 2: Fuck these questions.
• 29:51
Speaker 3: I only know this because of Christmas Carol on the
• 29:54
Speaker 3: Disney one where it's Goofy. Goofy comes in. Mickey is
• 30:00
Speaker 3: Tiny Timbers. I'm sure one of the fucking things. But yeah. Okay.
• 30:04
Speaker 3: Here's a TV question. It says, what popular 90s TV
• 30:07
Speaker 3: series did the actor Calista Flockhart star.
• 30:12
Speaker 1: In? I know the name. Calista Flockhart. I know the name.
• 30:17
Speaker 3: She did this TV show.
• 30:18
  Speaker 1: It's not Blossom.
• 30:19
  Speaker 3: No, no.
• 30:20
  Speaker 1: Okay. Hold on.
• 30:21
  Speaker 3: Calista.
• 30:22
Speaker 1: I know her name. I just can't picture her face.
• 30:25
Speaker 1: Calista Flockhart in the 90s. I know it's a white woman.
• 30:28
Speaker 1: I know she's white. In the 90s. Calista Flockhart. Damn it.
• 30:33
Speaker 1: Is it Rosemill Place or 90210?
• 30:36
Speaker 2: Rosemill Place. Mel Rosemill. No, fuck it.
• 30:45
Speaker 3: You got the question. I don't know, but you got
• 30:47
  Speaker 3: the point.
• 30:48
  Speaker 2: What is it?
• 30:50
Speaker 3: It's Ally McBeal. Do you remember that show? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 30:53
Speaker 2: It was on Fox.
• 30:54
Speaker 3: It was on for a long time. She only did
• 30:55
  Speaker 3: that show.
• 30:55
Speaker 1: She was an attorney.
• 30:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 30:57
Speaker 3: She was an attorney. Robert Downey Jr. was on the show,
• 31:01
Speaker 3: and then he relapsed. They had to fire him. That
• 31:03
Speaker 3: was where he was in his shit. Yeah, yeah.
• 31:05
Speaker 1: And that's all she did, huh?
• 31:06
Speaker 3: That's all she did. Married Harrison Ford, and that's it.
• 31:08
Speaker 3: She was like, I'm good. I'm trying to live that life.
• 31:10
  Speaker 3: I'm jealous a little bit.
• 31:11
  Speaker 1: I don't know if I would.
• 31:12
Speaker 3: What? Just fucking marry a.
• 31:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, if I hit the lottery and had everything I
• 31:17
Speaker 1: needed or married somebody rich or... didn't have to do comedy,
• 31:21
Speaker 1: didn't have to work for a living. I would still
• 31:24
  Speaker 1: do comedy.
• 31:25
Speaker 3: I'd have to do comedy because I'd have to pretend
• 31:27
Speaker 3: I still didn't hit the lottery because I'm not trying
• 31:29
Speaker 3: to let no motherfucker know. I was like, no, I'm
• 31:33
Speaker 3: still the same motherfucker.
• 31:34
Speaker 1: Just grinding it out. Starving artist.
• 31:37
Speaker 3: But why are you driving an Ashton Martin to the
• 31:40
  Speaker 3: open mic?
• 31:41
Speaker 1: It's the club. Let me rent it.
• 31:42
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 31:43
Speaker 1: They want me to pull up in it.
• 31:45
Speaker 3: You play with everything with a black card. Yeah. All right,
• 31:49
Speaker 3: so question seven. What TV series launched Bruce Willis' career?
• 31:54
Speaker 3: This is an old one. It was him and Sybil Shepard.
• 31:57
Speaker 3: They were on a TV show way back in the day.
• 31:59
Speaker 3: Way back in the day. Bruce Willis.
• 32:05
  Speaker 1: It's in the 80s.
• 32:07
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:07
Speaker 1: It's in the 80s. I can see him.
• 32:10
Speaker 3: I wonder if Miami Vice came on before or after it.
• 32:13
Speaker 1: It was... He wasn't on the A-team.
• 32:24
Speaker 3: No, no, no. Moonlighting. Do you remember that or no? No.
• 32:30
Speaker 1: You don't remember that shit.
• 32:31
Speaker 3: I was a little, little kid, and they would watch it.
• 32:34
Speaker 3: What is that name? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 32:36
  Speaker 1: I'll be 45.
• 32:36
  Speaker 3: I'm 44. I just turned 44. Okay, yeah. You don't
• 32:39
  Speaker 3: remember that shit.
• 32:40
  Speaker 2: I don't remember moonlighting.
• 32:41
Speaker 3: All right, number eight. It says, what is the name
• 32:47
Speaker 3: of Sabrina's cat in The Teenage Witch?
• 32:50
Speaker 1: Oh, that's, I know the cat name.
• 32:55
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:57
Speaker 2: I know this show because.
• 32:58
Speaker 1: I watched it. It's either Salem.
• 33:02
Speaker 3: Got it. Okay, yeah. Yes.
• 33:03
Speaker 2: I was going to say Winston or Salem.
• 33:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's one of, yeah, it's one of, I think
• 33:07
Speaker 3: Winston was the one in Hocus Pocus.
• 33:10
  Speaker 1: Okay.
• 33:10
Speaker 3: I don't know. I can't remember, but that sounds like that.
• 33:12
Speaker 3: All right, question number nine. It says, what species is Nemo?
• 33:22
Speaker 3: In Finding Nemo, what species is a fish?
• 33:24
Speaker 1: Oh, what species is a fish?
• 33:26
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 33:27
  Speaker 1: He is a.
• 33:28
Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I fucking botched that question.
• 33:31
  Speaker 1: He's a... I want to say clownfish.
• 33:33
Speaker 3: Boom. Clownfish. You got it. All right. So you have one, two... Two, three.
• 33:43
Speaker 3: You have three right so far. You can wager your
• 33:46
Speaker 3: points for the last one. That's Final Jeopardy. Let's do it. Okay.
• 33:49
Speaker 3: You want to do all three? Okay. Okay. So what
• 33:51
Speaker 3: animal's nickname is sea cow?
• 33:54
  Speaker 1: Sea cattle.
• 33:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, a sea cow, yeah.
• 33:56
  Speaker 1: A sea cow.
• 33:57
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 33:58
  Speaker 1: A sea cow.
• 34:03
Speaker 3: It's so funny because I love how serious you're taking
• 34:05
Speaker 3: this question because you're like, yo, I want to get one.
• 34:08
Speaker 1: I was going to say a whale, but a sea cow.
• 34:14
Speaker 1: I'm going to roll with it.
• 34:15
  Speaker 3: Okay, it's a manatee. I don't even know.
• 34:19
  Speaker 2: I don't know what a manatee is. It's a sea cow?
• 34:22
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 34:23
Speaker 3: I just was like, when I looked that up, I
• 34:25
Speaker 3: looked for a trivia question about animals, and I was like, okay,
• 34:27
  Speaker 3: fuck it, copy-paste.
• 34:29
Speaker 1: I bet you my granddaughter, my five-year-old granddaughter could have
• 34:32
  Speaker 1: told you.
• 34:33
Speaker 3: Oh, really? She's into animals?
• 34:34
Speaker 1: She knows every single animal, every species. She knows every animal. Oh, Granny,
• 34:40
Speaker 1: that's such and such. I had to Google some shit.
• 34:44
  Speaker 3: You're like, Armadillo?
• 34:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, she knows every animal. When she comes here next week,
• 34:49
Speaker 1: I'm going to take her to the zoo.

Speaker 3: That's her thing. Her thing is animals. That's cool. I
• 34:53
Speaker 3: don't know if I was big, big in animals. What
• 34:56
Speaker 3: is your favorite animal?
• 34:58
Speaker 1: I'm not a big animal person. I just, past few years,
• 35:01
Speaker 1: got a dog that I'm in love with.
• 35:03
Speaker 3: What kind of dog did you get?
• 35:04
  Speaker 1: A Yorkie.
• 35:05
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 35:05
Speaker 1: Carl. Carl is bad as hell. He lives up to
• 35:09
Speaker 1: the Yorkie name. He is just... I take him to
• 35:12
  Speaker 1: the groomer. I go get him. He's uncut. He's a
• 35:17
Speaker 1: little rambunctious. He wouldn't let us. So I had to
• 35:21
Speaker 1: give him doggy edibles.
• 35:22
  Speaker 3: Hilarious.
• 35:23
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 35:23
Speaker 3: I was going to say, you named him a person name, too.
• 35:27
Speaker 3: His name is Carl. Carl got a job.
• 35:30
Speaker 1: Yeah. And the whole neighborhood knows Carl. Everybody knows Carl.
• 35:35
Speaker 1: Carl out again. He runs the street and then shows
• 35:38
Speaker 1: back up like, hey.
• 35:39
  Speaker 3: Carl.
• 35:40
Speaker 1: If he gets an out, you know, and, like, before
• 35:43
Speaker 1: it would stress me out. Like, oh, my God, my dog.
• 35:46
Speaker 1: I'll look for him for, like, three minutes. And I'll
• 35:48
Speaker 1: just sit on the porch. Or sit in the house.
• 35:50
Speaker 1: And he's sitting outside just like, whoop. What took you
• 35:53
Speaker 1: so long to find me? I've been sitting out here
• 35:54
Speaker 1: waiting on you. You know, like, I don't know. It's
• 35:57
Speaker 1: somebody in the next street, next block, a chick he
• 35:59
Speaker 1: wants over there, some type of dog.
• 36:01
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 36:01
Speaker 1: That he goes after. And whenever he can get loose,
• 36:03
  Speaker 1: he does.
• 36:05
Speaker 3: I love dogs. I'm a big dog person. So it's like,
• 36:08
Speaker 3: I like it. They all got their personalities. And when
• 36:09
Speaker 3: you told me his name's Carl, I was like, Carl
• 36:11
  Speaker 3: clips coupons.
• 36:12
Speaker 1: He does. I named that because it reminds me of
• 36:14
Speaker 1: an old white man at a car to cop.
• 36:16
Speaker 3: Carl saved money. Oh, shit. So thank you for coming on, though.
• 36:20
  Speaker 1: Thank you.
• 36:20
Speaker 3: I just looked at it and I was like, oh, shit,
• 36:22
Speaker 3: I got to get you out of here. But thank
• 36:24
Speaker 3: you so much for coming and doing the podcast. Are
• 36:28
Speaker 3: you going to be here any time soon? Where are
• 36:29
Speaker 3: you going to be at next?
• 36:31
Speaker 1: I'm on the road.
• 36:32
Speaker 3: You're on the road, okay.
• 36:33
Speaker 1: Yes, yes. I don't have anything coming in Detroit until
• 36:35
  Speaker 1: the fall.
• 36:36
  Speaker 3: Okay.
• 36:36
Speaker 1: But everything else is the East Coast. I'll be in Idyllwild, Michigan,
• 36:42
Speaker 1: doing the show there June 20th. And then I go
• 36:46
Speaker 1: to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I'm taking a little few-day break for
• 36:49
  Speaker 1: my birthday, July 1st. Woo-woo.
• 36:51
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 36:52
Speaker 1: And then I go to, well, I'm there for a
• 36:54
Speaker 1: birthday trip, but during Essence Fest in New Orleans, they have,
• 36:59
Speaker 1: it's called Black Girl Giggle Comedy Festival at the same time.
• 37:03
Speaker 1: So I'm doing a show there.
• 37:04
Speaker 3: I used to know a girl that used to, out
• 37:07
Speaker 3: of New Orleans, Genevieve Joy?
• 37:09
  Speaker 1: That's who I'm working with.
• 37:10
  Speaker 3: Okay, yeah.
• 37:11
Speaker 1: That's who runs the festival.
• 37:12
  Speaker 3: She's awesome.
• 37:13
Speaker 1: That's who runs the festival, yes. So I'll be working
• 37:16
Speaker 1: with her at that time, and then I'll go out
• 37:20
Speaker 1: to New York. I'm going to see Jay-Z in New York.
• 37:24
  Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
• 37:24
Speaker 1: And I'm staying out there on the East Coast and
• 37:26
Speaker 1: just do some little, stay out there about two or
• 37:28
Speaker 1: three weeks and do some networking and work at some
• 37:30
  Speaker 1: clubs out there.
• 37:31
Speaker 3: All right, well, thanks again.
• 37:33
  Speaker 1: Thank you.
