- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans welcome in to do well daily person by Jen Jack dot com i'm Jordan alluga thanks so much for being here Friday October 17th we are less than 48 hours away from your jack wars taking on the Los Angeles Rams in London and uh this is a game that
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: Between two-four and two teams, two teams that have a lot of connective tissue, Liam Cohen spent a lot of time with the Los Angeles Rames and Sean McVay, you can say the same thing about Jack Wars General Manager, James Gladstone, with less need with Sean McVay, with that whole crew, they have a lot of history together.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: First time for Liam Cohen as a head coach and James Lazzone as a GM going to take on kind of their mentors, if you will, so big match up, we're going to dive into some big injury news for this one, heading into this week 7 tilt again in London 930 AM and 48 hours.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: This game will be in the books.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be watched in the afternoon slate, so it's always kind of fun when you have the London game just getting that out of the way in the morning and then you can just kind of move on with your day and watch the rest of football without having to just be solely focused on the Jack Wars, but we're in time to some injury updates, huge news for this game.

- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was just munching on some public sweet peach heat chicken wings.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Those are absolutely fire.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: Wife just brought those home never had them before.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's like a limited thing.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: No free ads here on the
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like the first time ever, I'm like bummed after come up here and chat with y'all, but it's big news.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Pugna Kua officially out for the Rams is the maybe most dominant receiving threat in the NFL right now.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, statistically you can say that, he's big, he's physical, he's fast, he's technical, he is explosive.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: just a dangerous weapon for the Rams and he's out.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that's that's big news.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: You all have their starting tackle.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Rob Havenstein, who is out for this game as well.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's two big offensive pieces for them that they're not gonna have in this game.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: Rob Havenstein has been their starting right tackle for a long time, very, very long time.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's been over a decade, basically.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's been there starting right tackle and not having him as a big deal.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is a team though.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: the Los Angeles Rams that I believe is well equipped to handle injuries to a certain extent.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll dive deeper into that, but also on the Jaguars injury front, you knew that Devon Lloyd and Quentin Moore weren't playing.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't travel with the team to London.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars traveled to London on Monday afternoon slash evening, the Rams are heading over to London tonight.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: So much different strategies there in terms of, um,
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of when they're arriving and trying to acclimate and all that stuff, the Rams have been in the Baltimore area since playing the Ravens last week, and they're flying over to London the London area today this evening.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously, the fact that the Jack Wars left on Monday meant they had to make a decision about Devon Lloyd and Quint Morris on Monday.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: They made the decision to leave them at home, let them recover.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: You have a buy week up coming for the Jack Wars.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Try to get them healthy for after the buy week.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: That was the decision there.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: But everyone who traveled with the team to London is going to be up for this game.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: And none of those guys even have injury designations going into this game.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: You look at the injury report.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'll pull it up for you real quick right here.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: Diami Brown was a limited participant
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: including today and he has no game status, no injury status for the game.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Hainesy, Jaguar starting center who missed last week against the Seattle Seahawks, has a hamstring injury.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: He was limited on Wednesday.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: He was a full participant Thursday.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: He was a full participant Friday.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: He has no injury status for this game, starting safety Eric Murray's been dealing with a neck injury since the win over the 49ers.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: He was a limited participant in practice all week.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: No game injury status, drive home walker.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously dealing with the wrist.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a full participant all week.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: He has been on the injury report, but he's been a full participant all week.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: No injury status.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's wonderful news for the Jaguars.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Just having all those guys and you're hopeful that
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Trayvon Walker, I believe he only had how many did he have like 16 snaps against the Seahawks.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: You'd like to be able to get him out there a lot more against the Rams this week.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, let's start with Puka Nuku as injury.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's a huge one, because, I mean, at just point blank, it's the biggest injury on the list for either team by far.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Puka Nakua is such a star in this league, and he's such a driver of what the Rams are trying to do in 2025 offensively, his numbers are insane.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, literally insane.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: You pull up the numbers, he has,
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: 54 catches on 64 targets, which is silly.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: 616 yards, 11.4 yards per catch, two touchdowns.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, 616 yards and six games, and he didn't even play.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the sixth game.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: wild.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Over the first five games of the year, he had 10 catches, 8 catches, 11 catches, 13 catches, 10 catches.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: It cannot be overstated how much of an impact Puka Nukuah had on the Rams offense.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the Rams offense statistically, much better with him on the field, no surprise.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: But they've got other guys.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: Devante Adams, they've brought in this year,
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: not just for this specific situation, but in the event of Apukin Akua injury, you still have somebody who can execute as a top-wide receiver in the NFL in a given week, Devonta Adams.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: And Devonta Adams has crushed the Jaguar over the course of his career.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Puka lined up a lot in the slot.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: His slot usage was 40% this year, highest of his career,
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: He wins from the sloth.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he just dominates, he'll move around.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have to play in the slot, but like getting him all over the field is kind of,
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: the recipe for success there.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: But Devante Adams, he's also someone who can align in the slot.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't bring the Pukin Akua skill set that big physical explosiveness.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Adams is more of a savvy nuanced veteran route runner who can also win at the catch point.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: But Devante Adams has killed the Jaguars in recent years.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: So he is still a major problem for the Jaguars to deal with.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: The thing with Devante is he and Matthew Stafford haven't really had that chemistry yet this year.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: haven't really shown a crisp, you know, tight connection between the quarterback and their receiver, the two veterans, big time, you know, veterans for the Rams there.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: But Puka, I mean, excuse me, Devonte Adams killed the Jaguars last year.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's done it many times.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: He scored a lot of touchdowns throughout his career against the Jaguars, he's put up a lot of yards.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: So they still have to be very, very aware of him and prepare like he's a number one receiver and like he's a guy that can absolutely destroy them.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have some other quality pieces that you have to deal with, right?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: you look at the tight end position, Tyler Higby, Terrence Ferguson, they've got a lot of guys that can go out there and make an impact.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Terrence Ferguson is someone who worries me a little bit just because of his athleticism, they get him out there and maybe use him in some of the Pooka Nakua role.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think they could potentially do that.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: That would worry me a little bit.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Whittington can do some of the Puka Nakuya stuff as well.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's not the same player as Puka, but he's someone to deal with in two, two.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Atwell has some that downfield speed, but no Puka is a huge deal.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: Rob Havinstein, not having him either is a very big deal for the Rams in my opinion.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: I believe they'll be turning to Warren McClendon.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: Let me make sure that's who they turned to last week.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're not even wanting to pull him up here, let's see.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they turned to Warren McClendon last week, he had 30 reps overall, did a decent job for them against the Ravens defense, which is a defense that's kind of fluttering and floundering right now, but he's going to have to get in there and he's a guy I kind of liked a little bit coming out of Georgia.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: while back he's kind of plays the game the right way but he's certainly not the caliber of of their starting right tackle and so that's something you can potentially look at you know with Trayvon Walker vs. Warren McClendon a lot.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: How does that match up play out?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: How much does Trayvon Walker get on the field?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: But those are big, those are two big losses for the Rams.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then the Jack Wars, not having Devon Lloyd, we've talked about it a bit.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: To me, Ventral Miller is a great backup line backer for you off ball linebacker.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: So is he going to make all the highlight real type of plays that Devon Lloyd has made this year in coverage?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe not, but is he going to be able to effectively blitz?
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Is he going to be able to effectively
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: Come down hill against the run, is he going to be able to do his job in coverage?
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he'll be just fine, and you've also obviously got foyer, Luke, and so haven't ventrial as that primary backup there is pretty big for the Jack Wars in my opinion.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's great for them.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's a guy that I think they were even looking at potentially when they got here.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they thought he could potentially push to start.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: They like Ventrell and I like what I've seen from Ventrell overall is a key back up and then at tight end, you've still got obviously no Britain strained, but with no Quentin Morris, you've got Hunter Long, Johnny Month, and Jordan Aekins could be potentially active who they signed to the practice squad this week.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: A guy who's played a lot in the past and Jaguar's fans have seen him play for the Texan.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, big injury news for the Jax, no Puka, no Rob, but
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: You cannot let that effect like your edge, your toughness.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can't sleep on the rest of the guys they have because they can beat you especially to Monta Adams.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar's coaching staff will have this team prepared to face a Rams, Sands, Puka and Akua.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: And that does not make them toothless by any means, but it does put a big damper in what they like to do on the offensive side of the ball.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: really appreciate y'all be in here.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
