- 0:06Speaker 1: to the Almost Famous Podcast. We are talking Frankie Friday.
- 0:11Speaker 1: If you don't know what Frankie Friday is, let me
- 0:15Speaker 1: give you a clue. The Bachelorette, our next bachelorette, Taylor
- 0:18Speaker 1: Frankie Paul, and every Friday leading up to the Bachelorette,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we are going to be talking all things Taylor Frankie
- 0:24Speaker 1: Paul to just tune you in get you informed about
- 0:28Speaker 1: who our next bachelorette is. And I am joined by
- 0:32Speaker 1: Heather Monday, our lovely producer for Almost Famous. So it's
- 0:37Speaker 1: just us two chat in the chat. Hi, how are you?
- 0:40Speaker 2: This is perfect? I want to know Trista like, how
- 0:43Speaker 2: much on a scale of one to ten, one being nothing,
- 0:47Speaker 2: ten being super fan, would you say you know when
- 0:50Speaker 2: it comes to Taylor Frankie Paul.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Oh gosh, I am really low on that spectrum because
- 0:55Speaker 1: I didn't know who she was prior to her Now,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I mean, I had heard her name, I knew what
- 1:01Speaker 1: mom talk was, or at least had heard of mom talk,
- 1:04Speaker 1: but I had never watched Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Okay, so Frankie Briday is perfect for somebody like you then,
- 1:10Speaker 2: because you're going to be learning so much about her
- 1:13Speaker 2: leading up by the time March rulls around, you're gonna
- 1:17Speaker 2: be like, h Taylor, Frankie Paul, I know her mom,
- 1:19Speaker 2: I know her kids' names, I know her exes.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You can know it all, and that's what aady listening.
- 1:25Speaker 2: If you're like you know Trista and you don't know
- 1:27Speaker 2: everything about the lead, this will hopefully get you as
- 1:30Speaker 2: excited as some of us who do know more about
- 1:33Speaker 2: her because they're dropping a lot of stuff and we're
- 1:37Speaker 2: not doing any spoilers. I want to say that we're
- 1:40Speaker 2: not spoiling you know who we see in these videos
- 1:44Speaker 2: or who the top ones are, and we're not doing that. Okay,
- 1:47Speaker 2: we still want it to be a very enjoyable season.
- 1:49Speaker 2: We're just talking about certain things we're seeing in the
- 1:52Speaker 2: headlines that could possibly show up on the show, So
- 1:57Speaker 2: little bit of discretion on that, Like, we're not really
- 2:00Speaker 2: the season for anybody perfect.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I love it. I love being able to go into
- 2:07Speaker 1: the season knowing who she is as a person, because
- 2:11Speaker 1: usually people get to know the lead because they were
- 2:15Speaker 1: on you know, a previous show and were recycled. So
- 2:19Speaker 1: I feel like now with this, this can be people's
- 2:22Speaker 1: one stop shop to getting to know all about Taylor
- 2:25Speaker 1: Frankie Paul for sure.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And I think, listen, you know this as well. Since
- 2:29Speaker 2: you were the first bachelorette and you came from season
- 2:33Speaker 2: one of the Bachelor, did you feel like the audience
- 2:37Speaker 2: really got to know you from your first season on
- 2:41Speaker 2: the Bachelor or did they really get to know you
- 2:43Speaker 2: a lot more when you were the bachelorette Because you
- 2:46Speaker 2: were one of twenty something women, you probably got really
- 2:50Speaker 2: limited screen time even though you went, you know, incredibly
- 2:53Speaker 2: far to the final on that series. Like would you
- 2:56Speaker 2: say that? Like I think, I guess my question is
- 3:02Speaker 2: did you feel like the audience knew you really knew
- 3:05Speaker 2: you during your time on Bachelor Nation or did that
- 3:08Speaker 2: come more after Bachelor Nation when you were with you know,
- 3:11Speaker 2: Ryan and sharing that you know.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Part of your love journey.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I feel like people got to know me, like maybe
- 3:20Speaker 1: the basics, you know, the like foundation of who I
- 3:25Speaker 1: was on the Bachelor, and then you know, they knew
- 3:29Speaker 1: I was a pediatric physical therapist, a Miami heat cheerleader,
- 3:34Speaker 1: that I lived in Miami, that you know, certain things
- 3:38Speaker 1: that I wanted a family, you know, those those kind
- 3:40Speaker 1: of things. So they learned some basics about me, but
- 3:44Speaker 1: I feel like, for sure they got to know me
- 3:46Speaker 1: during the Bachelorette because when you're a contestant versus and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I hate calling it a contestant, but that's what we're
- 3:53Speaker 1: calling it, versus the lead, you get obviously way more
- 3:58Speaker 1: time in front of the cameras and you're talking all
- 4:01Speaker 1: about what you want out of life. So that's way
- 4:03Speaker 1: more than just the basics, you know. So people definitely
- 4:07Speaker 1: got to know me as the Bachelorette, and then even
- 4:10Speaker 1: more so afterwards with like interviews that we did talking
- 4:16Speaker 1: about you know, just life and not being edited necessarily,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you know, and being able to just speak our mind
- 4:24Speaker 1: as as in real time.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I think like as a as a fan of the
- 4:30Speaker 2: show for so many years, I could say that, you know,
- 4:33Speaker 2: there were you know, leads where I had watched them
- 4:36Speaker 2: previously and watched them, you know, go through the show
- 4:40Speaker 2: where I was like, yeah, like I really, you know,
- 4:43Speaker 2: think I know what they're looking for in terms of love.
- 4:45Speaker 2: I don't know if I could ever say who their
- 4:48Speaker 2: exes were, what they're you know, maybe they grew up
- 4:51Speaker 2: in you know, what they did for a living. Maybe,
- 4:55Speaker 2: like all of these things, I like feel like I
- 4:57Speaker 2: know Taylor already on a different level, which is like totally.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It's it's really making me invested for this season because
- 5:06Speaker 2: I've already seen her attempt. I've already seen it, so
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm like, I already know a little bit of like
- 5:14Speaker 2: what to expect. So I guess like for people that
- 5:17Speaker 2: don't know her or haven't watched the show, it is
- 5:20Speaker 2: going to feel very different. But for a lot of
- 5:24Speaker 2: us that have watched, and I know there's a lot
- 5:26Speaker 2: of us because the numbers are huge on her show,
- 5:30Speaker 2: it's gonna be interesting because we just I just know it.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I know I've talked to other fans. We feel very
- 5:38Speaker 2: invested in her journey already.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Totally because Secret Lives is, you know, a docuseries, so
- 5:46Speaker 1: they're following them in their real life. It's not a
- 5:50Speaker 1: dating show as Bachelorette is, so you definitely have gotten
- 5:55Speaker 1: to know her in her daily, everyday life. And yes,
- 5:59Speaker 1: some of some of the locations or activities or whatever
- 6:03Speaker 1: they do, I assume are probably scripted, you know, the
- 6:05Speaker 1: producers are like, hey, let's go whatever. But then maybe
- 6:10Speaker 1: it's something that she wouldn't choose normally, but I feel
- 6:14Speaker 1: like they are. You're definitely getting to know someone like
- 6:18Speaker 1: a Kardashian or like Jessica and Nick back in the day,
- 6:22Speaker 1: you know, like those kind of series where you're following
- 6:24Speaker 1: these people in their everyday life. You're definitely getting to
- 6:27Speaker 1: know her. So that's so true.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Jessica and Nick from Newlyweds is a perfect example. That's
- 6:33Speaker 2: a perfect example of how people are so invested in
- 6:37Speaker 2: Jessica Simpson's life and were for so long because of
- 6:39Speaker 2: that show. So perfect example.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, I feel like we get to follow along,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and in Bachelorette you're getting to follow along like in
- 6:49Speaker 1: their life's choices. Like the biggest decision I feel like
- 6:52Speaker 1: that you make in life is you know, the partner
- 6:55Speaker 1: that you choose for the rest of your life. Yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 1: so I feel like that's a big decision and a
- 7:01Speaker 1: big you find out a lot about a person in
- 7:05Speaker 1: going through that process, but you don't like follow them
- 7:09Speaker 1: along with taking their you know, kids on vacation and
- 7:12Speaker 1: dealing with the drama of all of that, and dealing
- 7:15Speaker 1: with the drama of ex'es and dealing with the drama
- 7:17Speaker 1: of family life, and you know all of that, so
- 7:22Speaker 1: I think it'll be really interesting to see. You're right,
- 7:25Speaker 1: there's such a huge following for Secret Lives, and I
- 7:29Speaker 1: hope it's going to translate. But we're just here as
- 7:32Speaker 1: almost famous to like share all about her so everyone
- 7:36Speaker 1: else can join in to uh, you know, the fan base,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and we can root for her.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And the ultimate hope is that if she does make
- 7:44Speaker 2: a love connection, that we then see this person on
- 7:47Speaker 2: Secret Lives after it and we get to see what
- 7:49Speaker 2: I think all the Exploration fans have always wanted, which
- 7:53Speaker 2: is the after the proposal part of the relationship that
- 7:58Speaker 2: we've really never gotten to see outside of Like I'm
- 8:02Speaker 2: pretty sure that Ben and Lauren were the only Bachelor
- 8:05Speaker 2: Nation couple in history to ever get their own reality show,
- 8:08Speaker 2: so you know, we've never really gotten to see that
- 8:12Speaker 2: from people. So that would be the ultimate if we
- 8:15Speaker 2: got to see that too. But let's dive into these headlines.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I'll let you kick it off.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Okay, So we've got a headline.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Taylor Frankie Paul turns up the heat in a sexy
- 8:25Speaker 1: red lace dress for the Bachelorette rose ceremony. I have
- 8:28Speaker 1: not seen this picture, so I just saw when you
- 8:31Speaker 1: asked if I had read seen the tiktoks, I just
- 8:35Speaker 1: saw the ones you texted me. I didn't know this
- 8:37Speaker 1: was no worry bottom.
- 8:39Speaker 3: So it's all good.
- 8:41Speaker 2: You want to take a second and click on it
- 8:42Speaker 2: and look at it, Yeah, I'm fine with that.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Perfect. I mean, honestly, she is a gorgeous girl, like
- 9:02Speaker 1: gorgeous girl, and I feel like she is very sexy,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and that's like part of I feel like who she is.
- 9:11Speaker 3: She likes to be.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Like what's the word. She likes to show off her assets.
- 9:18Speaker 3: She likes to show off what.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Was God made and what was plastic surgeon made or
- 9:26Speaker 1: whatever it was. I don't know if she's had plastic surgery,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but hey, if you've got it flaunted.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Exactly, she is gorgeous, no joke. What we as fans
- 9:37Speaker 2: have always gotten to see her in is sweatpants. I mean,
- 9:40Speaker 2: the girl loves a good track suit. She loves crocs.
- 9:43Speaker 2: She's super open about that. My favorite thing was after
- 9:48Speaker 2: season one was such a hit, she totes around this
- 9:51Speaker 2: gooyyard tote now to bag and I was like, oh,
- 9:55Speaker 2: that is like her new character, like similar to Jessica
- 9:59Speaker 2: Simpson with the LOUI baton back in the day, Taylor
- 10:02Speaker 2: always has this Boyard tote now, which I think is
- 10:04Speaker 2: so funny.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't even know what that is, but yes,
- 10:09Speaker 1: it's a good thing.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It's a high end French, French designer bag.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I mean, I'm just clueless. I know Louis,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I don't know Goyard.
- 10:19Speaker 2: All good, all good. So seeing her in these, you know,
- 10:23Speaker 2: typical bachelorette gowns is kind of a new thing for us, because, yes,
- 10:29Speaker 2: we see her dressed up for the Secret Lives and
- 10:32Speaker 2: Mormon Wives reunions. All the girlies do really glamorous looks
- 10:36Speaker 2: for that, but in the day to day we do
- 10:38Speaker 2: not see that. And I think that fans wondering, you know, oh,
- 10:42Speaker 2: is she gonna be herself like when she's doing this
- 10:46Speaker 2: or is she gonna really kind of fit more into
- 10:48Speaker 2: the format. And I really think they're doing a little
- 10:50Speaker 2: mix of both, because, yeah, some feet picks that we
- 10:55Speaker 2: talked about in a previous episode where she has been
- 10:59Speaker 2: instagramming her feet along with it looks like a man
- 11:03Speaker 2: whoever she's with, we don't know, got it. But we've
- 11:06Speaker 2: seen some crocs, we've seen some boots, so I'm under
- 11:11Speaker 2: the impression that she's kind of doing a mixture of both,
- 11:14Speaker 2: where she's being herself maybe during the day and she's
- 11:17Speaker 2: kind of getting a little glam for the Rose ceremonies.
- 11:20Speaker 3: That's what I well.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I feel like also, most of us are, like in
- 11:24Speaker 1: our daily life, are wearing sweats or you know, comfy
- 11:29Speaker 1: clothes exactly same. I mean, even though it's not a hoodie,
- 11:33Speaker 1: it's a sweatshirt. So I feel like that's probably a
- 11:36Speaker 1: part of who she is. And we just haven't, I guess,
- 11:38Speaker 1: from what you're saying, gotten to see a lot of
- 11:41Speaker 1: the glam stuff from mom talk, except for like when
- 11:44Speaker 1: they do have to do glam with reunions or with
- 11:49Speaker 1: any of the tiktoks or whatever, because I know I
- 11:51Speaker 1: have seen some of her tiktoks where she's like, you know,
- 11:54Speaker 1: doing the transition from like before she gets ready to
- 11:58Speaker 1: after and she's like, hello, I'm dropped out gorgeous. So
- 12:03Speaker 1: I feel like that's part of who she is, and
- 12:04Speaker 1: I love seeing all parts of everybody.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I love, you know.
- 12:09Speaker 2: This TikTok that we're talking about in the clip, she
- 12:12Speaker 2: and Jesse Palmer are you know, joked about what their
- 12:16Speaker 2: conversations should sound like during every Rose ceremony and Taylor
- 12:20Speaker 2: mouths over the sound, I don't know what to say,
- 12:23Speaker 2: and Jesse replies, just be yourself, say something nice and
- 12:26Speaker 2: she goes back, which one. I can't do both, So
- 12:32Speaker 2: you know that's cute. The humor is not lost. I
- 12:35Speaker 2: think we're gonna have some really funny moments. I'm curious
- 12:39Speaker 2: to get your take though on this next headline. This
- 12:42Speaker 2: is me being super sleuth because she is an influencer
- 12:46Speaker 2: and a TikToker. She's putting on a lot of content
- 12:48Speaker 2: still while she's you know, filming, But I took some
- 12:53Speaker 2: screenshots of these Instagram stories because I thought they were interesting.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So she shot the book she's currently reading and a
- 13:01Speaker 2: screenshot of her playlist that she's listening to while she
- 13:05Speaker 2: is filming. So she's currently reading Emotional Intelligence Mindfulness by
- 13:11Speaker 2: Harvard Business Review. It is a collection of articles by
- 13:16Speaker 2: a number of authors and kind of The synopsis of
- 13:19Speaker 2: this book is it features smart, essential reading on the
- 13:23Speaker 2: human side of professional life from the pages of Harvard
- 13:26Speaker 2: Business Review. Each book in this series offers proven research
- 13:30Speaker 2: showing how our emotions impact our work lives. Practical advice
- 13:36Speaker 2: for managing difficult people and situations, and inspiring essays on
- 13:41Speaker 2: what it means to tend to our emotional well being
- 13:45Speaker 2: at work. Wow, that's a lot, and it makes me
- 13:49Speaker 2: want to ask you. I know it was a long
- 13:51Speaker 2: time ago. Do you remember what you were reading when
- 13:54Speaker 2: you were the Bachelorette?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 13:56Speaker 1: I didn't have time to read. No, that's that's what
- 14:02Speaker 1: my comment was going to be, like, Oh, yeah, sorry, No,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I was. I was journaling because I wanted to write
- 14:07Speaker 1: down what was happening, my feelings, and that was kind
- 14:11Speaker 1: of like my therapy of going through it and having
- 14:15Speaker 1: someone to talk to. It was my journal. But yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I feel like you rarely, rarely have time to read,
- 14:23Speaker 1: and I feel like when I read, I need for
- 14:26Speaker 1: it to be like all the things are done, you know,
- 14:29Speaker 1: things are crossed off my to do list. And not
- 14:31Speaker 1: that that ever happens, because the list is ongoing and constant,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but I feel like if there's things going on in
- 14:38Speaker 1: my life that I'm like, oh crap, I have to
- 14:40Speaker 1: do this and this and this and this and this
- 14:41Speaker 1: and this, and my brain is going crazy. I just
- 14:43Speaker 1: can't focus on reading. So good for her for reading.
- 14:47Speaker 1: If she's actually getting it done, because I don't know.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I don't.
- 14:51Speaker 3: I would assume that most.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Bachelorettes are in the same boat that you just don't
- 14:55Speaker 1: have a lot of time. Well.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Her playlist that she shared is titled Airplace, and it
- 15:01Speaker 2: contains songs like Bruce Springsteen's I'm On Fire, Mazzie Starr,
- 15:06Speaker 2: Fade Into You, Fleetwood mac Landslide, and Morgan Wallins Cover
- 15:11Speaker 2: Me Up. So were you surprised at all when I
- 15:14Speaker 2: put these songs together, like just even bare minimum knowing
- 15:17Speaker 2: about her, did you think you know this was the
- 15:20Speaker 2: kind of music that she listened to.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I mean, I don't. I don't really truly know.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I wouldn't know because let's also talk about the fact
- 15:31Speaker 1: that I'm fifty three, and how old is she, like
- 15:34Speaker 1: twenty nine or twenty something.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I wouldn't say she's thirty, thirty one, thirty one, Okay,
- 15:44Speaker 2: so we're twenty two years apart, and I don't.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I mean, I know what my kids listen to, because
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'll hear the music here, but I don't. I wouldn't
- 15:54Speaker 1: have ever have guessed because I don't even know. I've
- 15:56Speaker 1: never heard of Fade Into You. Obviously, I know who
- 15:59Speaker 1: Fleetwood mac bost.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You would know fade into you if I played it
- 16:03Speaker 2: for you, because it's a very nineties song.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Like, oh, that's interesting.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Oh. I love that she's got these like kind of
- 16:10Speaker 1: like old school songs. No, I feel like, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 1: music is such a timely thing, Like there there are
- 16:20Speaker 1: phases that I go through in life where I'm like, oh,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I just want to listen to country music. Or Ryan
- 16:26Speaker 1: will be playing music in the background when he's cooking,
- 16:28Speaker 1: like that's his that's his thing. Yeah, and whatever will
- 16:32Speaker 1: come on and I'm like, oh my gosh, I haven't
- 16:34Speaker 1: heard this song in whatever. Or it's like rap songs
- 16:37Speaker 1: from that you know, like you know every single word too, from.
- 16:40Speaker 3: The eighties or whatever.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Like I feel like the my phases I go through phases.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So I'm all for the fact that she's got these songs.
- 16:51Speaker 1: It's not a surprise to me. I guess is the answer,
- 16:53Speaker 1: because I feel like I wouldn't have known even what
- 16:57Speaker 1: to guess.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You know me a little just because this last season
- 17:02Speaker 2: of Secret Lives, we saw them all go to stage coach,
- 17:05Speaker 2: so I kind of pegged her as a country music fan.
- 17:08Speaker 2: But now I remember, if she just went or if
- 17:10Speaker 2: she actually liked country music like I can't remember.
- 17:13Speaker 3: But interesting.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Nonetheless, that that is, and it's a public playlist if
- 17:17Speaker 2: anybody wants to go look for it.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Oh really interesting.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I love that.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I mean, those are great songs. I love Fleetwood Mac.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I mean, Landslide is an all time favorite.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So good. Well, I think this next headline I need
- 17:40Speaker 2: to kind of break it down for you, just because
- 17:42Speaker 2: it's a little insider. For people that have watched the
- 17:45Speaker 2: season of Secret Lives, the most recent season, season three,
- 17:49Speaker 2: they will know this. But for anybody who doesn't, might
- 17:51Speaker 2: take a minute. So there is a TV show on Hulu.
- 17:54Speaker 2: It is called vander Pump Villa. It is a new
- 17:57Speaker 2: show for Lisa vander Pump and it takes place at
- 18:00Speaker 2: a villa with her staff. One of the key staff
- 18:03Speaker 2: members on the show is named Marciano. Now, not to
- 18:07Speaker 2: get two into the weeds, Secret Live Girls, they did
- 18:09Speaker 2: a crossover. They went and filmed on that show. Marciano
- 18:15Speaker 2: had some flirty interactions with two of the girls and
- 18:20Speaker 2: basically I won't get too much into it, but that
- 18:23Speaker 2: was the core drama of this season of Secret Lives
- 18:25Speaker 2: of Mormon Wives season three.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Oh okay, because they're all married.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Because they're all married, so great you there. So Marciano
- 18:34Speaker 2: this last week went on Harry Jowsey's podcast. Do you
- 18:38Speaker 2: know who Harry Joosi is?
- 18:40Speaker 3: No?
- 18:41Speaker 2: He from He is from season one of Netflix's Too
- 18:46Speaker 2: Hot to Handle, Total like breakout star from that show.
- 18:50Speaker 2: And so he has a podcast called boyfriend Material. He's
- 18:53Speaker 2: not boyfriend material. That's why it's called that understood. And
- 18:57Speaker 2: so you know, Marciana went on on Harry's podcast and
- 19:02Speaker 2: Harry said, you know, would you be going back on
- 19:05Speaker 2: Secret Lives and Mormon wives? And Marciano said, you know,
- 19:09Speaker 2: if there was a good storyline for me, but there's
- 19:11Speaker 2: no single women, so that would be tough. He then
- 19:14Speaker 2: goes on to say, Taylor is Dakota's ex, and I
- 19:18Speaker 2: like Dakota and plus I'm pretty sure they are still
- 19:21Speaker 2: hooking up, to which Harry said they were when I
- 19:24Speaker 2: was there, which Marciano then asks when was that, to
- 19:29Speaker 2: which Harry says before she went to go do the thing,
- 19:33Speaker 2: which Marciano says, he basically heard the same thing and
- 19:35Speaker 2: it was very recent, and he goes, yo, that's wild.
- 19:39Speaker 2: So they're inferring that Taylor and Dakota her ex were
- 19:44Speaker 2: hooking up right before she went to go film the Bachelorette. Now,
- 19:48Speaker 2: it's not far fetched if you've watched the show, because
- 19:52Speaker 2: even this last season, I said they went to Stage Coach.
- 19:55Speaker 2: They ended up hooking up at stage Coach, but we
- 19:59Speaker 2: saw during the re union that they were still on
- 20:02Speaker 2: really bad terms. So, and we know she's filming the Bachelorette.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So as somebody who's been in Bachelor Nation since basically
- 20:12Speaker 2: since the beginning, how frequent would you say it is
- 20:17Speaker 2: that somebody is rekindling with an ex or has somebody
- 20:21Speaker 2: in their life right before they go to filming.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I don't know that I can say, like how frequent
- 20:28Speaker 1: is it? But what I can say is I don't
- 20:32Speaker 1: know that it's a good idea. You know, I would agree.
- 20:35Speaker 3: With that, Yeah, if you are truly.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Looking for your forever person and want to be serious
- 20:48Speaker 1: about the Bachelorette and the opportunity there to meet your
- 20:52Speaker 1: forever person, then I don't know that hooking up with
- 20:56Speaker 1: an ex who you have children with is a good
- 20:59Speaker 1: idea because it just gets messy, you know, And even
- 21:05Speaker 1: if you didn't have children with them or a child
- 21:08Speaker 1: with them, I just feel like it's messy. You know,
- 21:10Speaker 1: if I we don't want to blur lines, you know,
- 21:14Speaker 1: you want to say, Okay, we're done with this relationship.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I'm moving on.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I want to be able to focus all of my
- 21:19Speaker 1: energy on these guys who are you know, leaving their
- 21:24Speaker 1: lives for a time to come meet me and see
- 21:28Speaker 1: if we can solidify a relationship and if we're compatible.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And you know, I feel like some would say that
- 21:36Speaker 1: it's like disrespectful to the process if you're not fully
- 21:39Speaker 1: invested and serious. Mind you, this is Taylor's life and
- 21:44Speaker 1: it's what I encourage all women. My advice for anybody
- 21:49Speaker 1: who goes on the show is be yourself. And if
- 21:51Speaker 1: this is who she is, then this is who she is.
- 21:54Speaker 1: And if she has like feelings for her ex, and
- 21:58Speaker 1: or if it's not just feelings and she just feels
- 22:01Speaker 1: like she wants to have some intimate time with her ex,
- 22:06Speaker 1: then that's as an adult, that is her right, right.
- 22:11Speaker 1: But I feel like for any guy who is on
- 22:15Speaker 1: the show, hopefully they know maybe about the fact that
- 22:20Speaker 1: she does still have a physical connection to her ex,
- 22:26Speaker 1: and that's like something that I hope is addressed during taping.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Yeah, as a as a longtime viewer as well as
- 22:35Speaker 2: somebody who has cast multiple dating shows in their career.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I can say that it's pretty common when it comes
- 22:44Speaker 2: to the contestant side. It's less common when it comes
- 22:48Speaker 2: to the lead. I think, like, yeah, the lead has
- 22:50Speaker 2: to go through a long process of talking with producers
- 22:53Speaker 2: over and over again, and they really producers and the
- 22:56Speaker 2: networks really try to suss this out. Yeahypical casting situation.
- 23:01Speaker 2: We've already said Taylor's not a typical casting situation. But
- 23:04Speaker 2: typically they do this because they don't want the integrity
- 23:08Speaker 2: of the show to be compromised and they don't like
- 23:12Speaker 2: the bad press that that could bring the show. But
- 23:16Speaker 2: it comes to contestants, there's usually only so much that
- 23:19Speaker 2: they can look into. But I mean, anybody that's watched
- 23:23Speaker 2: the show knows that usually you get you get one
- 23:27Speaker 2: per season where somebody comes out and says, I was
- 23:30Speaker 2: dmming with that guy, or I hooked up with him
- 23:33Speaker 2: right before he packed his bags. Same thing with girls
- 23:36Speaker 2: girls that go on The Bachelor, this happens as well.
- 23:39Speaker 2: So it is common, but more so, I would say,
- 23:43Speaker 2: on the contestant side than the lead side.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Yeah, And I just don't think it's a good idea,
- 23:47Speaker 1: like if you're the lead, then be the lead and
- 23:50Speaker 1: be focused and.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Really go.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Like use your time wisely because these guys are giving
- 24:01Speaker 1: up their lives to come and meet you, and you
- 24:04Speaker 1: need to be focused. But you know, to each their own. Okay,
- 24:08Speaker 1: next headline and I think this will be the one
- 24:10Speaker 1: that we end on is so On Facebook, Taylor's ex's
- 24:18Speaker 1: sister in law was quoted, I believe, as posting something
- 24:25Speaker 1: in reference to what production has really been like for
- 24:30Speaker 1: Taylor as a single mom. She said that, oh, she
- 24:38Speaker 1: called out a fake article, which I'm just going to
- 24:41Speaker 1: take this beat to say, do not believe anything you
- 24:45Speaker 1: read on Facebook. I there's so many Bachelor Nation people
- 24:49Speaker 1: who are being drug through the mud with lies, lies
- 24:54Speaker 1: and more lies, including myself who I found out that
- 24:58Speaker 1: I was going to be a grandma on a Facebook
- 25:01Speaker 1: page that is related to the Bachelor to Bachelor Nation.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I feel like if you go on there, Jojo, they
- 25:07Speaker 1: constantly are talking about Jojo. They'll they'll get you with
- 25:10Speaker 1: a with a clickbait and say, oh, they're dealing with
- 25:13Speaker 1: this horrible situation or whatever, or they'll just say, oh,
- 25:17Speaker 1: Trista Sutter's going to be a grandma or Trista Sutter
- 25:19Speaker 1: has Alzheimer's. Oh my gosh. Anyway, so do not believe,
- 25:24Speaker 1: especially on Facebook. Be very careful with what you believe
- 25:28Speaker 1: when you read but when you read Facebook. But Dakota's
- 25:32Speaker 1: sister in law did say she was talking about a
- 25:36Speaker 1: fake article that was put out on Facebook, and she
- 25:39Speaker 1: went on to say that Dakota has been watching Ever,
- 25:42Speaker 1: the son they share Taylor and Dakota, while she's been filming.
- 25:47Speaker 1: She said that Dakota and Ever have been staying in
- 25:49Speaker 1: Idaho and Ever got to fly to see Taylor for
- 25:52Speaker 1: one day before the holidays. She stated that Taylor is
- 25:55Speaker 1: allowed to FaceTime her son when it allows. The post
- 25:58Speaker 1: says they will be in ut how the last few
- 26:01Speaker 1: weeks of the schedule, but until then, everything else is
- 26:04Speaker 1: being filmed in other locations. So we got some more
- 26:09Speaker 1: clarity in the comments of this video because Leanne, who
- 26:13Speaker 1: is Taylor's mom, set the record straight. She said that
- 26:16Speaker 1: Taylor has been able to see her three kids almost weekly.
- 26:20Speaker 1: She her mom, Taylor's mom has flown out many times
- 26:23Speaker 1: to locations for her to spend time with them, plus
- 26:27Speaker 1: she gets FaceTime calls. The kids had spent the other time,
- 26:31Speaker 1: mostly with their dads and sometimes her grandma or the
- 26:34Speaker 1: grandma has ever. So I feel like it's really hard.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Like I didn't have a child's during filming. I know
- 26:40Speaker 1: that like Emily Maynard could talk to this, but it's
- 26:44Speaker 1: got to be so Jason Mesnik had a child when
- 26:47Speaker 1: he was The Bachelor, and maybe we should have him
- 26:50Speaker 1: on to talk about this. But it's got to be
- 26:54Speaker 1: so hard because if you don't have a child, then
- 26:59Speaker 1: you can, happily, for me, cut off work, right. You
- 27:03Speaker 1: don't have to worry about work, you can't watch your
- 27:06Speaker 1: television shows, you can't be on email like you can
- 27:11Speaker 1: basically just like fully become vested in the process because
- 27:18Speaker 1: you can cut off all of your other worldly ties, right,
- 27:21Speaker 1: But you can't cut off your kids, you know, or
- 27:24Speaker 1: you shouldn't cut off your kids if you're a mom.
- 27:26Speaker 1: It's not fair to them. It's and I'm sure as
- 27:29Speaker 1: a mom, I wouldn't want to be cut off from
- 27:31Speaker 1: my kids. I need them in my life every day.
- 27:34Speaker 1: So that's got to be so difficult. And from what
- 27:38Speaker 1: I understood from the woman who was talking about this
- 27:42Speaker 1: on an Instagram post, she was talking about the Dakota's
- 27:46Speaker 1: sister in law's comments about the Facebook post, and she
- 27:51Speaker 1: was saying, you know that Taylor had gone into this
- 27:55Speaker 1: thinking that she would get more time, like production had
- 27:59Speaker 1: told her that she would get certain things, like certain
- 28:03Speaker 1: amounts of time that she could spend with the kids.
- 28:05Speaker 1: But it just hasn't happened or it hasn't turned out
- 28:08Speaker 1: that way. And knowing anything about television production, it's like
- 28:14Speaker 1: that phrase hurry up and wait, like you just never
- 28:17Speaker 1: know what's going to happen, right, so you have to
- 28:20Speaker 1: be on the fly. And even though I'm sure they
- 28:23Speaker 1: had very good intentions of Taylor seeing her kids more
- 28:27Speaker 1: than maybe she's seen them, I feel like it is
- 28:30Speaker 1: television and I guarantee you in her contract there was
- 28:34Speaker 1: there was something that was said like.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Whatever, whatever you're in.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Expecting, expect the unexpected, essentially, you know, like because things
- 28:46Speaker 1: change and we cannot guarantee that you're going to be
- 28:48Speaker 1: able to see your kids as much as you hope.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Probably, Yeah, And we had leanne On, you know a
- 28:56Speaker 2: little bit after the announcement of Taylor, and what he
- 29:00Speaker 2: was kind of saying is the older kids are obviously
- 29:03Speaker 2: in school, so they're the ones that are probably seeing
- 29:06Speaker 2: her the least because they have to stay on routine. Ever,
- 29:10Speaker 2: being a baby is probably the one that's getting the
- 29:14Speaker 2: more one on one time with her.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Now, I don't really think.
- 29:17Speaker 2: That there's necessarily truth to this he didn't see her
- 29:21Speaker 2: for twenty days comment, because it seems like her mom
- 29:25Speaker 2: is uh, you know, clarifying that in the comments, So
- 29:31Speaker 2: we don't really know, but it sounds like face timing
- 29:33Speaker 2: is definitely happening.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yeah, which is something that I feel like, Thank goodness
- 29:38Speaker 1: they have that capability because it's the next best thing
- 29:43Speaker 1: compared to, you know, being in person, so and it's
- 29:46Speaker 1: better than a phone call. So at least you get
- 29:48Speaker 1: to see each other face to face and she can
- 29:50Speaker 1: show ever like what's going on around her, so that
- 29:53Speaker 1: he's not, you know, worried about where mom is and
- 29:57Speaker 1: what she's doing. So I feel like that that's a
- 30:00Speaker 1: good second option. Of course, I know that as a mom,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm sure Taylor would much rather have her kids in
- 30:09Speaker 1: her arms and be able to see them face to face,
- 30:11Speaker 1: but at least they do have FaceTime.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, Trista, thanks so much for joining me on
- 30:16Speaker 2: this Franky Friday.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Thanks for having me. Did you feel it was so fun.
- 30:22Speaker 2: You feel like you know Taylor a little bit more.
- 30:24Speaker 3: After this, I do.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I feel like this is a great option for people
- 30:29Speaker 1: who don't watch Secret Lives and want to know more
- 30:33Speaker 1: about her instead of just putting it into Chat or
- 30:36Speaker 1: going on Google. So thank you Almost Famous.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Thanks Trista, You're the best. Hie Heather
