• 0:00
[upbeat rock music] Hello. I was collecting my thoughts.
• 0:19
[laughs] I don't have them yet. [laughs] Yeah, right. [laughs] This is Dang Old Full Spectrum Cycling. This is show number 213- 2-1-3... on the podcast menu of show numbers.
• 0:31
Hey, we got the band back together here in the studio today. Why is there blood on the doll? What? [laughs] Welcome back, JK. Just naming the band. Hi, everybody. JK is here.
• 0:40
[laughs] The blood doll is on- Blood on the doll... the table. Yes, I had a mental health day. We... [laughs] We've got Tony Burger over there. I do. I'm here. How's Tony? Hey.
• 0:49
Can't hear Tony Burger 'cause he's talking... Put that thing up to your mouth. Put it up by your mouth. There you go. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. There he is. Hi. There's, there's Tony Burger right there, folks. Hi. Uh, yeah. Yeah.
• 0:59
Yeah. So what's happening? Uh, been a few weeks, hasn't it, since we had the entire crew here. JK last week, Tony the week before. It's just, it's just, uh, it's just nice having all three in the same room again.
• 1:11
Yes, and thank you for being- With black curtains... for being the big toe on the foot- [laughs]... that is Full Spectrum- Yeah... Cycling- Yeah. Big toe... podcast. You're like Uncle Hulka. Gotta keep the pedal down.
• 1:22
Sergeant Hulka. Yeah. [laughs] Right. Love that movie. Stripes- [sighs]... ladies and gentlemen. One of the best movies ever. I was gonna... I had to connect the dot before.
• 1:32
I didn't wanna just leave a, a riddle out there. Sure, sure. Check, let's check his locker. I, I wonder how, I wonder how, uh, pop culture savvy our listener is. I didn't get a chance. Has he been to Czechoslovakia?
• 1:41
Does he know it's like Wisconsin? [laughs] I got the shit kicked out of me in Wisconsin. Best line in a movie ever. [laughs] Hey, this is a podcast. Yeah. It is one. Guess what?
• 1:53
We, we did ano- we did, we did a podcast that so freaking long we had to make two parts out of it. Fuck you, Chewy. I was so excited when I got halfway through it- [laughs]... then it just abruptly ended. This is Chewy.
• 2:03
I'm cutting in here. This thing's- Right... going way too- I'm, I'm with my kid's pig. Yep, well, we...
• 2:08
So we, that thing was live at, at Limestone, uh, Brewery in Osage during the Mayday Mayhem event, and it was going so well, we just kept going and going and going. It sounded like a really good event. It was fun.
• 2:19
Fun event, and the podcast is great. Part two, I don't know if you haven't listened to it yet, it's even better than part one. Wait, I couldn't find part two. Is it just- Oh... I have to refresh and I missed it?
• 2:26
You have to wait. Part two is there now probably. Okay. Oh. Okay. I, I got the link to both of them in the show notes if you have not listened to either one.
• 2:34
Uh, part one was mostly Tony that owns, or co-owner of Limestone, and Derek who was the guy that basically spearheaded the event. And then in part two, gets kinda dicey 'cause we got Adam Blake who won the race, and,
• 2:50
and Sven, me, me, uh, you know, Christine, Trevor's wife. Dave Lunz even gets in on the, uh- Oh, God... action towards the end of the show. So if you're kinda running long in the tooth, you could probably
• 3:00
sorta skip- Cut it off at Dave Lunz... skip the last 10. No, just surprisingly he wasn't, uh, unintelligible Dave, so that was good. [laughs] And no bail money needed. Are, are you touching the doll?
• 3:10
I, uh, what's in the bag? So the doll- Well, what's in the fucking bag? We, we talked about- Skull... the dolls last week. They were- Well, I'll have to listen. Yep. You know, you'll get the whole doll thing.
• 3:20
One of those things. Yeah. I don't know, but it's just looking... That and Creeps- It's creepy... yeah. It, it's- Getting- Yeah... mm-hmm. It's creepy. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's in the show notes. I know.
• 3:30
Well, it's- I would've looked at it... it is Wisconsin, and it was 82 a couple days ago and then it was, like, 48- Oh, did it drop-... 10 minutes later... it dropped 24 degrees in less than an hour. That was awesome.
• 3:41
And I know 'cause I was riding. [laughs] I really wanted to be out in the world when it occurred just to watch people really freak out, especially, like, on Brady. 'Cause everyone's...
• 3:50
You know, when it's 80 degrees, people dress for 80, and they don't- Oh, they do that on campus too I noticed 'cause they weren't happy. Well. [laughs] Walking to my bike I saw some very- Campus is a whole different...
• 4:00
That's a whole different animal... the whole, the whole open midriff that all the young ladies are wearing now, they weren't happy. I've seen bare midriffs at, you know, 10 below too, though. Yeah.
• 4:10
Just 'cause people- Well, those people are dumb... they're polar bears. Right. As soon as, you know- Or idiots... at 40- [laughs]...
• 4:15
at 40 it's just like, "Oh, I'm just gonna wear my house pants and my T-shirt because I only have four blocks to walk to class." It's like, mm-mm. No. Okay. At least they don't have- One of my, one-...
• 4:26
five blocks to the subway. Well, yeah, because whatever's underneath there is unshowered, unwashed fog. [laughs] And I know it's gonna s- stink if you just move the wrong way.
• 4:38
Next week is, uh, next week's Milwaukee Metal Fest, so. Oh. Shawn out somewhere? And Biohazard is, is headlining one day, so. Yeah. Suicidal is the one I would, I'm- Yeah... that's the one I would get in there.
• 4:51
So I'm not sure how ticket sales were going because I h- I had seen that, uh- Oh, they're asking for more, yeah... Sp- Spencer posted that they had 25% off now. Mm-hmm. So. All right.
• 5:01
It'll get, it'll get, it'll get, it'll get... [laughs] Is it gonna get, is it gonna get smaller and smaller- Yeah, yeah... and smaller? Yeah.
• 5:06
'Cause I, I, I pay- And then all of a sudden you're gonna find a couple like, "Oh, hey, da, da, da. Just hanging out over there."
• 5:09
Yeah, I pay a reasonable amount to see a couple of bands, but I don't need to spend 300 bucks to see all of the bands- Hell no... because there's a shit ton of bands there. No.
• 5:19
I'm gonna say there's a good s- 80 bands- I'd like to-... over three days... I'd like to see Suicidal Tendencies and get there to see two or three before that maybe. Could do. Could do.
• 5:31
And I could wrap my head around that, but yeah. Remains to be seen. I don't know. I've seen Anthrax, I've seen Land of Misery. I, I, well, I mean, I'm being just, eh, not bragging, but bragging, you know.
• 5:41
Hey, you know what I'm gonna brag about? Oh, that you hit, you hit a button? No. No. I did hit the button though. See it's red? Oh, okay. Uh, you know how Facebook tells you how many actual friends you have? Oh, no. 666?
• 5:51
No, 1,000. But, uh- Hmm... uh, and, and, uh, and Chell Money from, uh, from the Wicked Good Bike Builder was my 1,000th friend. I'm like- Nice. [laughs] I sent him a note. I'm like, "Dude, you're my 1,000th buddy."
• 6:05
He's actually one of the few people in my friends list that I haven't met, although we've corresponded and chatted and I've bought some of his kickass bike parts, so I was kinda happy with that. That's sweet.
• 6:15
I'm only at 717 Nice But it sounds like a airplane. Yeah. Yeah. I told, uh, I told Chell that, uh, a, several people at the Clunker Race Fest though in Osage had his, uh, parts on their bikes, so you know.
• 6:32
That's kickass, 'cause he makes good stuff. Yeah. Uh, hey, oh, here's something. Ooh. I stopped at Scardina's today. Nice. What'd you have? Ah, it's just- Ham wrap? Ham wrap. Ham wrap.
• 6:42
But I talked to Damian about- See, there's just, I don't know I, it's that- Does he call it something better than that? Ham wrap? It's called a ham wrap. It's called a ham wrap 'cause it's delicious, and it's ham.
• 6:51
Well, it's like, "Brr, get this ham, ham, ham, ham. You're gonna have some ham." Uh, I a- t- I don't know... I said, "Hey, Tony says I'm on your, uh, River West 24 team." Ah.
• 7:01
And he says, uh, "Yeah, we couldn't figure out how to register." I go, "I think Tony took care of all that." No, I didn't. I, I've asked him again. Ah. I need everyone's email address [laughs] and shirt size. I guessed.
• 7:11
I made up names. Oh, okay. But- I'm gonna go see him this weekend and take care of all that... yeah, 'cause he was like, Anthony was looking, his brother, on the t- on the site for registration.
• 7:18
I said, "That's not how it works." You register, and then give me your email address and you're good. Right. So go- But that's okay... go visit him, get some ham I will. It'll be fun. Get, get some, get some stuff.
• 7:26
You, you know, Mother's Day, Cleone shocked the world. Kids on her jacket. She's like, "I'm gonna go to Scardina's and get us some ham and hard rolls and some chorizo." I nearly fell off my chair. Geez.
• 7:38
Except for I was sitting on the floor, so it was safe. Your children well. [laughs] Right? Except for she never does this.
• 7:43
Well, it's not like you haven't like, it's not like you haven't like ingrained this every- I just-... goddamn Sunday. [laughs] I just pulled out my credit, right, I pulled out my credit card. I'm like, "Come back soon."
• 7:51
[laughs] And it was, of course- Oh, she didn't pay, though. She just went with the debt. Oh, hell no. Oh. Oh, hell no. No. Even though she has a- You fly, I buy... uh, let me, let me toot, let me just toot my, my horn.
• 8:00
Let me toot. My, my, my daughter's horn. Please. I, let's show her's first. Paid physics internship at UWM this summer- Oh, okay... as a junior in high school. There you go. That girl's got a brain. Make some monies.
• 8:12
Must've got it from Mully. Yeah. Paid internship. Such- Isn't that called a job? [laughs] Well, yeah. It's not- Yeah... it's not an internship if you get paid. And college credit though. Sorry.
• 8:21
I- It's a job and college credit... yeah. Okay. Yeah, yes, yeah. No, I, no, I- I remember, I think we were- But-... it was- Semantics, man. I'm, I'm in there... where were we traveling?
• 8:29
I think Door County or maybe, I don't... Oh, no, it was, I think it was when we were up in Cable for the NICNA race last year, and, uh, my daughter's 23, and we went out to breakfast. I'm like, "You know,
• 8:43
some kids buy their parents breakfast every once in a while." [laughs] And she was, uh, she was gracious enough to say, "Yeah, I should probably do that. You guys have been buying breakfast for me for 23 years."
• 8:53
All right. Yeah, good kid. Right on. Getting ready to do the Summerfest big, what do they, it's not the big gig anymore. Do they have a- Well, let's call it that until they- Yeah...
• 9:04
well- Until they tell us something else. That's coming up here at the, uh, end of June and early July. Yeah. There are a couple- Three weekends of bands and stuff...
• 9:14
there are a couple poachable shows at the- Definitely-... at the amphitheater... definitely Elvis Costello. Well, amphitheater, BMO, and Uline. At M- at BMO. Elvis is playing this year? At BMO.
• 9:23
Those are, those are the three, those are the three- I should really see him... those are the three poachable stages. Oh, yeah. For sure. Yeah. I, I should really see him.
• 9:32
I've, I've put it off long enough, and I'd really be disappointed. And all three of them have a very close by Porta Potty. Which is awesome. These are, yeah, they must know that people are gonna- Yeah...
• 9:42
gonna sit back there and- I had s-... smoke a doobie... I had, I had so much fun. Listened to some tunes. Dude, I, I sat there and listened to fucking Primus do, uh, Farewell to Kings by Rush by myself, like,
• 9:57
for the en- pretty much the entire damn concert until, uh, uh, Sven Universe- Oh, yeah. Yeah... [laughs] the thingy rolled on. Like, I thought there'd be some skeevy stoners back here.
• 10:10
[laughs] All right, we got, we got a green button, folks. Uh, I'm pushing the green button. I pushed the green button, and welcome to the radio program. Caller, who do we have on the line? Big Sexy with Roberto. No, no.
• 10:22
There he is, ladies and gentlemen. I can't tell you how long it's been since we've heard that dulcet tones of Big Sexy. BS. Dude, dude, I'm so sorry. I feel like an asshole.
• 10:34
I, I, plenty of opportunity, but I slept right through them all. [laughs] Right on. So you're back on the road, I take it. I am back on the road. I'm in Willmar, Minnesota at the moment.
• 10:48
Where, where, where in the world is Willmar? Um, well, it's south, uh, uh, southwest Minnesota. It's kinda, it, it, it's west Minnesota, for sure.
• 11:01
It's about 20, 29 miles away from my friend's house in Richfield, so I, it... But here, here's the big deal. Mm. Here's the big deal. I'm heading to the top of the Mississippi River. Oh, okay.
• 11:15
Are you gonna urinate in there? I'm he- I'm heading to the begi- I'm heading to the beginning of the Mississippi River, and then I'm gonna
• 11:24
hopefully take some peyote or some mushrooms and figure out what I'm gonna do next. [laughs] Right on. Way to make a good decision. Yeah, for sure. Right. Well, and here's the thing.
• 11:36
I'm, I've been trying to, I've been trying to, uh, I'm working on this podcast, uh, Drunk Uncle Beck House. I r- I, all I need is somebody who can edit sound,
• 11:50
and I need, I need somebody who, who, who would put it out, put it out there for me. Well- 'Cause I can't, I can't do that shit on the road... I'm your Huckleberry. [laughs] Send me some files. Let's see, let-
• 12:04
Oh, really? S- send me some files. Let's see how it goes. I, I, I'll take a listen and see if that's something that we can work into the schedule, 'cause us putting it up there is no problem.
• 12:13
It's the, you know how I don't edit stuff, so long as you can, uh, stream of- Right. Well, so it, it-... stream of thought it It is, the, the, the, the, the thing is, is that I'm, I'm not interested in
• 12:29
anything, blah, blah. I'll, I'm on the road. I'll just report what I've got going on on the road. I'll have a conversation with my guests or whatever, you know, blah, blah. And then do, do with it what you want to.
• 12:42
If you, if you make some money, put it in your pocket. If you make a lot of money, give some to me when I'm on the road. Oh, yeah, we're getting rich doing this- That's all... I'll tell you what.
• 12:52
[laughs] We've, we've made well over $1.28- Well, sure... I think since we started. [laughs] Um, yeah, we're, we don't- Mm-hmm.
• 12:58
Well, you know, at some point maybe, but at this point it's mostly just about, you know, getting together every week and having an excuse to sit around and shoot the shit for a bit, so.
• 13:07
But yeah, let's, uh, h- are you gonna record it? Sure. Are you gonna record it on your phone? How are you gonna record it?
• 13:12
Well, no, I, I've got an audio recorder and my, and my speaker, my, um, speakers do, do really well. I, I mean, I've, I've got a couple of, uh, I've got a couple of test episodes.
• 13:25
I did one with my, me and my brother, we talked for like two hours, and
• 13:29
I couldn't move it, I couldn't move it 'cause it was two hours long, so I, I couldn't move it and I had to edit it down, and I'm like, "Oh, I don't know how to do that." You know kind of thing.
• 13:41
Let's ta- let's talk, let's just Yeah.... there. Yeah, yeah, for sure. But yeah, we can, we can help you out I think. That I, we'd love- Oh...
• 13:47
to have some, uh, Big Sexy on the road drunk, drunkle Big Sex, drunk uncle- Yeah... drunk uncle Big s- sexy. [laughs] Like- Drunkle... Beckhouse. Drunk Uncle Beckhouse. Drunkle. Right.
• 13:57
I know y- you all, you all know me as Big Sexy, but I, I think, I think we're gonna have to go to Drunk Uncle Beckhouse is, is kind of my handle nowadays. Drunkle? Drunkle? [laughs] 'Cause I just spent the whole...
• 14:10
No, I, I, I spent, I spent the whole, uh, the whole winter with my, with my sister and my niece in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. I spent the whole winter, and it wasn't that bad of a winter.
• 14:24
'Cause I consider bad winters to be below zero for long periods of time. Absolutely. And it wasn't really... W- we had a c- we had a couple weekends, a couple, a couple of, of spots where, where it was below zero.
• 14:40
Um, but I had a job and the whole time. And but, like, look, my sister loves me and I love my sister and I wanna keep it that way, so I had to get the fuck out of there.
• 14:51
[laughs] So, so are you overnighting in Willmar, Minnesota? Yeah, yeah. I'm, I'm just, uh, um... And then, and then I'm, I'm heading up to the top of the Mississippi River. And, um,
• 15:05
there's a couple of state capitals over that way that I might have to go gather up. Absolutely. I- I'm, I'm considering it- I understand that there's-... at the moment...
• 15:17
w- when you get up there towards the top of the Mississippi, there's, there's a spot you can actually step across the river with your feet, just walk right across the little trickle- Oh, really?... of the Mississippi.
• 15:26
I didn't know that. Yeah. You can stop the water. You can stop the water with your foot. [laughs] Oh. And suddenly down in- And, and you-... Louisiana they're going-... and you, and then-... what the hell happened?...
• 15:38
you stand- Or, well- Get your, get your foot off the river... if I, if I, if I, if I- Or, or you could move it a little bit and make the Red River again...
• 15:45
if I stand here for- [laughs] If I stand here for, for six months, then the river's gonna run dry. But yeah, no, it, it's, it's very thin up there. I, I've been up there before.
• 15:56
A- as a kid I was up there a couple times and... But I would love to have Heather up there and, uh, and, uh, just say that I've done it.
• 16:06
And I've got a friend that lives up that way, so, eh, you know, I, I'm, I mean, I, I'm, I might get laid, you never know, um, kind of thing. So I- I'm just gonna go up there and, and then, and then I might...
• 16:21
I, oh, man, I'm looking at Bismarck on the map. I'm like, okay, Bismarck's only that much further. I m- I might as well grab Bismarck and Pierre- Yeah... South Dakota while I'm there.
• 16:33
Ask, ask them how you pronounce it when you're there. Say, how do you say the name of your city? Right. [laughs] Well, I mean, I mean, I know, I know, I, I, I know that argument between Pierre and Pierre and blah, blah.
• 16:47
Okay, okay, I, I know it. But, um, I'm like, I don't know, man. I don't know if I wanna do the North Dakota Badlands on my fucking tricycle. [laughs] That sounds like a challenge for, uh, Heather- I mean-... to me. Yeah.
• 17:03
Well, she, she's still here. She's, she's right next to me. Um, I actually,
• 17:11
I actually paid a guy 10 bucks to do five minutes worth of fucking, uh, five, five minutes of, uh, of, of brake, of brake adjusting, because I'm like, I'm like, "Dude, I can't, I can't do it. Go ahead." What a cuck.
• 17:27
[laughs] I'll pay you to fucking fix my fucking brake, because I can't fucking... I, I- I know... just got pissed off. Oh. Well, that's how- Work, working anything with brake, it- Yeah...
• 17:38
I have the best of intentions and the zero of execution. So Big Sexy, I looked up, uh, Willmar, Minnesota here on the computer. Guess what the, the very first question about Willmar, Minnesota is? It's moving.
• 17:52
How many Somalis live in Willmar? What's my delivery? How many Somalis live in Willmar is the first question. Apparently- They, they-... like 1,500... yeah, they have a- In Willmar?...
• 18:01
they have a pretty big Somali, yeah... a big Somali community. Dude. In- Same with St. Paul. Guess what? You will eat well. Well- Yes, you will. They have great cooks... you will eat really awesome goat meat. Awesome.
• 18:13
I, I mean- Awesomely, awesomely spiced goat meat... right, right b- right before I, I, uh, I called you guys up, I was sitting at the Kwik Trip for a minute and I didn't, I didn't see a Somali, uh...
• 18:24
I mean, I mean- Are there, are there white Somalis? I, [laughs] I'm not v- versed in Somali, but I doubt it. Uh, out of, out of the 20,000 people there- No. Guys, that's there... 1,500 are Somali families.
• 18:36
Maybe a guy who- Yeah, a- Missionary or something... just a, just, uh, it was just interesting that it was the, the, that that was just interesting because it was the very first question. Not, "How deep is Eagle Lake?"
• 18:48
or- Yeah... you know- Well, dude, Somali food is awesome... what's the biggest fish in Eagle Lake? It is. Are there fish in Eagle Lake? There's a lot of Eagle Lake questions, too.
• 18:56
[laughs] There's also a lot of Eagle Lakes period, but- Apparently by Wilmer, there's at least one And Eagle Rivers. I mean, even made it into a movie, Hot Shots. But there's only one spread eagle, and it's in Wisconsin.
• 19:08
Oh, man. My crotch hurts just thinking. [laughs] Well, yeah. I mean, um- While I was skiing, I- [laughs] Oh, so, um, so, uh, the, there is, I'm down on long-term here. I'm down long-term.
• 19:22
I'm gonna go to the top of Mississippi River, and then I'm gonna, um- Tinkle... if I, if I end up going down that rabbit hole to fucking Peery and then, uh, Bismark, Peery, and then Cheyenne, Denver,
• 19:40
I might not make River West. But I, I, I don't know if I'm gonna do that. I'm, I'm thinking I wanna make River West, and I wanna, um, head south for the winter 'cause I...
• 19:50
This, this winter, don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad winter, but I'm not, I'm not doing it again. [laughs] Fair enough. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, you were, you were gainfully employed most of the winter, weren't you?
• 20:01
Right. Right. And I, and I worked the overnight at a grocery store, so I, I really did not experience winter at all. Nice.
• 20:09
I was taking a Lyft, I was taking a Lyft or a Uber to work every, every night in the, i, i, in a- Paid hibernation... it wa- I, right. And I, I, I was like, I was warm every night. Oh, yeah.
• 20:22
And I, you know, I, I didn't, I didn't really experience the cold, cold, cold of the winter. And guess what? I don't wanna do it. No. You don't have to do it. That's the best part. No, thank you.
• 20:35
[laughs] Your blood is too thin. [laughs] You're from the Lui- Louisianas.
• 20:41
One of my favorite things is, is when, is when somebody comes up to me when I'm sitting on my bike and I got my sign up or whatever the fuck, and, and they, and they come up to me and go, "Hey," like, "What made you wanna do this?"
• 20:54
And I say, "Well, I was sitting around thinking about ways I can drive my mother crazy." [laughs] And [laughs] you know, uh, oh, I can just get on a tricycle and start riding around the country. Seems legit.
• 21:11
And is she now crazy? So here we go. Is she now institutionalized? [laughs] Institution. I'm not crazy. No, she's not in- Institution... institution. Great song.
• 21:20
She's not institutionalized, but she does admit to me every once in a while that she, she does a little sleep over me being on the road. Interesting. I just wanted a Pepsi.
• 21:32
[laughs] But I mean, you know, I, I- Not at Club's... she's like, "I know you're gonna be okay, but you never know."
• 21:38
I'm like, "Yeah, well, every single car that passes me on the highway could just clip me into the goddamn bushes." You know? A- and i- it's a, it's a real thing. Sure. Oh, yeah. For sure. You never know. We do every day.
• 21:55
Yeah. Yeah. Right on. I mean, I, uh, I, I've learned, I've learned to be like, okay, this, this person's gonna pass me. This person's gonna pass me with plenty of room. Well, yeah. You've learned to be- Okey-dokey...
• 22:09

• 23:37
it tastes like 10,000 volts. That's what it says. [laughs] So this, this is the shit, this is the shit you have to pay $12 for at the Rave Eagles Ballroom for a normal drink. Yeah.
• 23:49
This is- This is $6.99, $7.99 a six-pack- So I understand that... at my local... I understand that. I understand that. But if you're spending, you know, the 10- Oh, we have had this. It's quite burpy.
• 23:59

• 24:38
Um, I was at Assholes, and this guy said, "Do you want a Busch Light?" And I said, "No." [laughs] Good on you. And he said, "Well, why not?" I'm like, I'm like, "Because I don't drink that shit." And
• 24:53
my brother proceeded to tell me that I was an asshole for, for denying a free beer. I'm like, "No. Why, why would I be an asshole when I..." I'm like, "I'm not gonna fucking drink that, so yeah, don't buy it for me."
• 25:12
No buy me anything. Yeah, yeah. And, and it, it... I mean, like, we were literally screaming at each other at 3:00 in the morning because my brother thought I was being an asshole for saying, "No,
• 25:26
I've got a full fucking mug of Hams in my hand." I do. "I don't want a Busch Light." Buy me a shot of Jäger, bro. Yeah. No, you- And-... you know what you like. Yeah. Buy me a shot of Jäger. Right. Transfer.
• 25:42
But no, but oh- No, no. Well, at least where, where- Where was this?... the guy buy you a beer? This doesn't sound like Milwaukee. Let the guy buy you a beer. I'm like, "No.
• 25:52
If he wanted to buy me a beer that I don't want." It'll be all right. Yeah, for sure. That's what Drunk Uncle Backhouse is gonna be about. [laughs] Sounds good, man.

You, you know- Once in a while... it's fine. [laughs] All right, later for you. Love you, big sexy. Bye. All right, see you later, y'all. There he is, everybody. Well, that was- The BS is back...
• 27:43
well, but he's not big sexy anymore. Now he's drunk uncle sexy. No, Drunk Uncle Backhouse. Big sexy. Oh, yeah. Which, that... He could go by Backhouse for a lot of stuff, so. I'm just saying Drunk Uncle. I know.

• 28:04
So if he wants to call himself Drunk Uncle, then we'll just let him. I'm just saying- Just like that... you could just put a copyright. Copyright. Yeah. Drunk Uncle Backhouse. You can't- 2023... okay. Whatever.
• 28:16
I don't know. Here's the deal. Uh, Taco Bell's going after Taco John's- Fuck these... for- This is so stupid... for Taco Tuesday. For Taco Tuesday? Which they have a trademark. Taco Tuesday. They trademarked it.
• 28:25
Well, Taco Tuesday. Who did? Taco Bell? Taco Tuesday feeding frenzy, feeding frenzy. In 1989, they c- they copywrote. Don't you remember that? Okay, here's the deal. Taco Tuesday- No, 'cause I don't do either...
• 28:34
well, the owner, well, the owner- Feeding frenzy, feeding frenzy... the owner of Taco John's came up with Taco Tuesday, T-W-O, to sell because it was their slowest day. So you got two tacos for a buck on Tuesday.
• 28:48
Sign me up. And then they changed it to just Taco Tuesday, and they trademarked it. And now Taco Bell's like, "Oh, that's a, that's a, you know, a, a well-known phrase. We- you can't trademark that."
• 28:59
It's like, yeah, in 1989 you could, 'cause they got one. Yeah.
• 29:02
It's like, can you- And is it, at the end of the day, is it really gonna affect who goes to Taco Bell, Taco John, or any other place for an awesome taco on Tuesdays? I don't... It's not the point.
• 29:12
The point is Kleenex is a trademark. Everybody calls any kind of tissue Kleenex. Tissue. Do they come around and yank your chain? No.
• 29:19
But if you're a, a large corporation and you start calling your shit Kleenex or you start using it, they're gonna come after you and say, "You can't call your tissue Kleenex 'cause it's our damn tissue."
• 29:26
Dude, but if you're a large- So what we've- If you're a large-... boiled this down to is Taco Bell is a bunch of assholes. Bunch of assholes.
• 29:32
If you're a large cult- Taco John's is kickass, 'cause they're from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and blah, blah, blah. Yeah. And Taco Bell is Pepsi Co. Right. There you go. [mimicking] All right.
• 29:41
There's your trademark- Whatever... uh, trademark law portion of the show, and, uh, we gotta go. And then there's- We gotta go 'cause we got practice laps... actually, no, no. We gotta go do practice laps.
• 29:48
Yes, but I'll, I'll say one thing about the Taco Tuesday whatever. Even, you know, 'cause people just do that. Like, "Oh, it's Tuesday. We should have tacos." It's in your- Yes... it's in your head. It works.
• 30:00
Guess who started that? We've been over this already. Taco John? Whatever. A minute ago. [laughs] Yes. But- I'm pretty sure my mom started it a long time ago... I'm gonna- no, I am just gonna say- 1989...
• 30:10
Casa d'Alberto is closed on Tuesdays. Oh, that's a good call. Ooh. Which is awesome. 'Cause they don't, like- It's like, it's like, fuck it... so who has the trademark for- Fuck it... Margarita Mondays?
• 30:19
Who has a trademark for, uh- So wait, I, I just throw this in- No, I, I just love that because-... real fast... ooh, fuck that...
• 30:24
so Ca- Casa d'Alberto, so, um, the day Larry passed, um, Cleone wanted me to take her to Con Hidos. And I'm like, "That's, that's legit, honey. I know you're sad. You love Con Hidos." We go there,
• 30:39
and the table next to us asks if the tostadas can be had with meat. And I was like, "You need to make your way [laughs] up the street to Casa d'Alberto."
• 30:52
So the server said no, took their order, and then I said to the guy, I'm like, "Dude, just so you know, Casa d'Alberto up the street has the best tostadas with beef and chicken and pork."
• 31:04
I'm like, "I highly recommend you check it out." And he thanked me. Yeah. Con Hidos still does what Con Hidos does. They both do. It's fine. I, I do like Con Hidos once in a while.
• 31:13
They are, they are both in the same family. Casa d'Alberto is here. One has paper plates. You can't see radio listeners. One does not. Yeah. One is a little- Slightly below that is Con Hidos. All right. We did it.
• 31:25
We're doing it. I mean, we did it. Thanks very much. We'll be back next week. We're gonna go ride our bikes. You should probably do that too. Yeah, you should. Yeah. Tell us where you rode your bikes.
