- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It's La La Kent. Welcome to untraditionally, La La, Hello, gorgeous,
- 0:07Speaker 2: Welcome back to Untraditionally, La La. I am so hyped
- 0:11Speaker 2: beyond words. As you guys know, I am very specific
- 0:15Speaker 2: when it comes to my guests, but we also know
- 0:18Speaker 2: that I am a fiend when it comes to the
- 0:21Speaker 2: Real Housewives, especially Beverly Hills. And when they introduced this
- 0:26Speaker 2: new woman who was a part of the cast, all
- 0:29Speaker 2: you had to say to me was, she's a manifestor
- 0:33Speaker 2: teaches you how and she goes by the money queen
- 0:36Speaker 2: I have, Amanda Francis.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Welcome, Thank you for having me. You're so welcome on
- 0:41Speaker 1: an trout.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Well, I have to say so when you first stepped on,
- 0:45Speaker 2: because it's a very intimidating. I don't feel like you
- 0:47Speaker 2: get intimidated. No, not easily, not easily. And you can
- 0:50Speaker 2: tell you like you are solid in who you are
- 0:54Speaker 2: and I love that. But you rattled cages. And I
- 0:58Speaker 2: had dinner with Alex back asking who you know? Oh really,
- 1:01Speaker 2: and I said, how's it going? And I asked about you,
- 1:04Speaker 2: and he goes, let's just say this, we needed her,
- 1:07Speaker 2: and I was like, excellent, excellent.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I compliment, right, great, come outlets. I'll take that.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, take it. So I have to ask, what
- 1:17Speaker 2: was the first season like for you?
- 1:20Speaker 1: Awful? Like I think it's weird that we're supposed to
- 1:22Speaker 1: be like, oh, well, you know, it was a learning
- 1:24Speaker 1: and growing it's not very much fun. You did not
- 1:27Speaker 1: have fun, not like I can think of a few
- 1:30Speaker 1: singular moments while filming that I'm like, Okay, I was laughing,
- 1:33Speaker 1: that was fun. I was getting to know someone, I
- 1:35Speaker 1: was connecting with someone like that was enjoyable. But no,
- 1:38Speaker 1: did it look like I was having fun? Very often?
- 1:40Speaker 2: It did? Not know And I know it's a very
- 1:43Speaker 2: silly question and a stupid question, but no, it's like
- 1:47Speaker 2: a required question, but like air question. But it didn't
- 1:50Speaker 2: look fun.
- 1:50Speaker 3: No.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The pr response would be that I'm grateful for the
- 1:53Speaker 1: opportunity and whatever, But I'm like, no, that was miserable.
- 1:55Speaker 2: You know, not go back.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Well, we haven't decided, you know. Rihanna DMed me. Shut
- 2:00Speaker 1: the fuck.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Out of way. Hold on, this is a whole podcast
- 2:05Speaker 2: in itself.
- 2:06Speaker 1: What did she say? She said, come back, we need you.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You will get your redemption, trust me. I know. Bagg
- 2:15Speaker 1: reb herself.
- 2:16Speaker 2: If I had pearls, I'd be a clutching what.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I know you too?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Well.
- 2:23Speaker 1: It definitely swayed me a little, it really did, and Eddie,
- 2:27Speaker 1: so Eddie didn't think I should go back, and my
- 2:29Speaker 1: husband because he's just worried, he's concerned.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it takes up.
- 2:33Speaker 1: The show takes up not just a lot of your time,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but a lot of your psychological space. And that's something
- 2:37Speaker 1: that's really hard to understand, probably if you haven't been
- 2:39Speaker 1: through it. But like, I'm someone who likes to figure
- 2:42Speaker 1: things out, make sense of things, wrap my head around things.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I couldn't wrap my head around what it was like
- 2:47Speaker 1: the whole season, like what is my job here?
- 2:49Speaker 2: Totally?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Are we getting to know each other and bonding or
- 2:52Speaker 1: are we like doing secret strategy takedowns? Like what is this?
- 2:57Speaker 1: And I don't watch Bravo. I didn't really know a lot.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And maybe I should have, but probably not, because then
- 3:03Speaker 1: I would have I would have probably said no. If
- 3:05Speaker 1: I would have thought my job was to have takedowns
- 3:07Speaker 1: or whatnot, I would have said, I'm not taking them.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Other women, it's just not who I am. I'm not
- 3:11Speaker 1: even be able to pretend to be that because I'm
- 3:14Speaker 1: not that you know, then, how did you.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Fall into it? If you didn't watch Bravo.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I bought Kyle's house like December of twenty twenty one,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and it's like I had just done a few episodes
- 3:26Speaker 1: on Selling Sunset when I bought Kyle's house, So like
- 3:29Speaker 1: Reality Show World was like on my mind and I
- 3:33Speaker 1: had in the very back of my head, wouldn't be
- 3:35Speaker 1: interesting if this led to something someday. I was not
- 3:38Speaker 1: thinking I will be on a show with Kyle Richards.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Would you call that manifesting in that moment?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Oh, let's tell the whole story. Then, let's tell the
- 3:47Speaker 1: whole story.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I'm trying to learn.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Okay, No, can I like I can be really woo
- 3:52Speaker 1: woo like your audience.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I'm a woo woo weird.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Okay, let's be weird. No, so I move into Kyle's house.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I think that's interesting because at the time I am
- 4:00Speaker 1: manifesting reality television, I am I do really deeply believe.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Like the first time I ever wrote in one of
- 4:05Speaker 1: my desires lists, I make these like lists of what
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm manifesting. Okay, the first time I ever wrote down
- 4:09Speaker 1: reality show was like twenty sixteen, So I mean like
- 4:14Speaker 1: this has been something I believed I would have or
- 4:16Speaker 1: create at some point forever. So I buy Kyle's house.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I had just done selling Sunset. I'm thinking, like what
- 4:23Speaker 1: I believe I meant to be on television? What does
- 4:25Speaker 1: that mean for me? What does that look like? I
- 4:27Speaker 1: don't really know. But I went and saw an energy
- 4:30Speaker 1: hiller who felt like she should clear the vibes from
- 4:34Speaker 1: the house. She's like, a lot has been filmed there,
- 4:36Speaker 1: a lot has gone on there, like let me do
- 4:38Speaker 1: a clearing of the house. And then she said, there
- 4:41Speaker 1: are gifts for you inside of this house. There are
- 4:43Speaker 1: like energetic like like impartations like knowing, like knowledge like
- 4:49Speaker 1: the who this person had never seen the show, whoever
- 4:52Speaker 1: lived there before you is leaving like gifts for you,
- 4:55Speaker 1: like information for you around how to be on televis,
- 5:00Speaker 1: be a businesswoman, have kids? Like the person who lived
- 5:03Speaker 1: here before you knows things that you're going to need
- 5:05Speaker 1: to know.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Wow.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And I was just like I know nothing about the
- 5:08Speaker 1: Kyle or to showed it. I'm just thinking like, well,
- 5:10Speaker 1: that's interesting, Like I'll take the like we call that
- 5:12Speaker 1: codes right, like yeah, like have you heard the phrase
- 5:15Speaker 1: before the phrase codes mean like people say, I have
- 5:19Speaker 1: the money codes all the time, Like I have a
- 5:21Speaker 1: lot of innate knowing and understanding around the energy of money.
- 5:23Speaker 1: That's like how okay it would be described. They're saying,
- 5:26Speaker 1: the person before you had some like codes, some knowledge,
- 5:29Speaker 1: some something that you're going to pick up on by
- 5:31Speaker 1: living here, and that's going to mean something to you.
- 5:33Speaker 1: That would be the woo, the like the wou side
- 5:36Speaker 1: of what happens.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with everything that's happening right now.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Okay, So when I forget about that, like you you
- 5:41Speaker 1: like an energy hill Hiller tells you that, you say, fine,
- 5:43Speaker 1: but then like, I'm not thinking about that all the
- 5:44Speaker 1: time totally right, So I forget about this for years,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Like years go by. I still believe that someday I'll
- 5:51Speaker 1: be on television that I meant to that there's something
- 5:53Speaker 1: there for me. I don't know what. It'll be a
- 5:55Speaker 1: lot of dolls. I guess I'm like not actively manifesting it.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But it's like it's like what I call holding on
- 6:02Speaker 1: loosely when you believe, like you've put the intention out
- 6:05Speaker 1: there like it's in the ethers. You think it's your destiny,
- 6:09Speaker 1: but you don't.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Like.
- 6:11Speaker 1: An active manifestation is when I like, I believe I
- 6:13Speaker 1: can have this and I can have it this month.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And for me, it's like God, Angel's universe, like what
- 6:18Speaker 1: would you have me do to create this? Now it's
- 6:20Speaker 1: like a very like active manifestation. Okay, this wasn't that.
- 6:23Speaker 1: This was like I believe it all happen someday. Let's see.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I thought the television part of my life would come
- 6:29Speaker 1: way way later, like when my kids weren't little, Like,
- 6:31Speaker 1: this is not something I thought I would do. I
- 6:33Speaker 1: have like two under two at home, right, that's crazy.
- 6:37Speaker 1: So then one day I get a text message a
- 6:40Speaker 1: girl who is in my courses who credits me for
- 6:44Speaker 1: her success. She's an entertainment attorney and like the way
- 6:48Speaker 1: I helped her believe in herself, believe that she was
- 6:51Speaker 1: worthy of money and business in life, she wanted like
- 6:53Speaker 1: she credits me with who she is today. She got
- 6:56Speaker 1: a call from a casting agent that she knows, and
- 7:00Speaker 1: they're like, do you know anyone that would want to
- 7:01Speaker 1: be in our house is Beverly Hills, And she's like,
- 7:03Speaker 1: one person's coming to mind. She bought Kyle's house and
- 7:06Speaker 1: the casting agent was like that's a great connection. Would
- 7:09Speaker 1: she do it? And she was like, probably not, but
- 7:11Speaker 1: I can. I can text. She texted my friend Kara.
- 7:14Speaker 1: She's like, I know someone who knows her. Let me text. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: so Kara. She texts Kara. Kara texts me. I say no,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I don't want to fight with other women on television.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Are you mean nuts? And then she said Lauren, that's
- 7:26Speaker 1: the entertainment attorney. Lauren says, just get on the phone
- 7:29Speaker 1: with her and the casting agent, like, just do a
- 7:31Speaker 1: quick call. I was like, okay, now it goes yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 1: check the vibes. But it goes so fast from there.
- 7:37Speaker 1: You do the phone call, they say, well, let's just
- 7:39Speaker 1: shoot like the casting tape. You shoot the casting tape.
- 7:43Speaker 1: They say, well, why don't you just have a conversation
- 7:44Speaker 1: with the showrunner. You have a conversation with the showrunner.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You're the text or an email at that point that
- 7:49Speaker 1: said can you come into NBC Universal for a final meeting?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Wonderful And the next thing you know, your real housewife
- 7:55Speaker 1: of Beverly Hills.
- 7:56Speaker 2: It's great.
- 7:57Speaker 1: But that whole like from the text message to I
- 8:00Speaker 1: need a film at Jennifer Tilly's house was like two
- 8:05Speaker 1: and a half weeks.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a whole different summer plan last summer.
- 8:10Speaker 1: We had our beach house in Newport. We were gonna
- 8:11Speaker 1: spend the whole summer in Newport. I wasn't gonna go
- 8:13Speaker 1: back to LA at all all summer. So it was
- 8:15Speaker 1: like this, it was this dream I had created. I
- 8:18Speaker 1: always had this like manifestation, this like dream of We'll
- 8:21Speaker 1: have our summer on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard or the
- 8:24Speaker 1: Hampton's and I had been to all those places, but
- 8:26Speaker 1: that's really hard when you live in LA. Right, Yes,
- 8:28Speaker 1: But then I discovered your kids in travel it's a lot.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I discovered a little island in Newport where we now
- 8:35Speaker 1: have a home, like we I signed a year lease,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and so it was the summer of the year lease, right,
- 8:40Speaker 1: And I was like just not going to leave Newport
- 8:42Speaker 1: all summer. And I was like, I'm going to drive
- 8:44Speaker 1: back to LA to film like god knows how many
- 8:47Speaker 1: times a week, multiple, Right. So yeah, I'm like a
- 8:50Speaker 1: little irritated about that. So there's part of me going, Amanda,
- 8:53Speaker 1: this is a unique opportunity. This is something that doesn't
- 8:56Speaker 1: happen to everyone. This is something you have been manifesting.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You probably wouldn't have pick Housewives, but you would have
- 9:01Speaker 1: picked like like a ver you knew a version of
- 9:04Speaker 1: this was going to be in your life, like you
- 9:07Speaker 1: have to seize the day on it, Like what I like,
- 9:09Speaker 1: who's are you going to say?
- 9:10Speaker 2: No? Well? And that's but I'm also in this stage
- 9:15Speaker 2: of life where it's just everything's a yes, because I'm like,
- 9:19Speaker 2: why is where I get woo? I'm like, everything is
- 9:23Speaker 2: for a reason.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Timing does not happen by mistake. So if something is
- 9:28Speaker 2: entering my life and maybe I have another plan, there's
- 9:31Speaker 2: a reason why it's happening, and I'm not supposed to
- 9:34Speaker 2: go do that other thing that I had planned.
- 9:37Speaker 1: They have theories on this. There's a book on this
- 9:39Speaker 1: called the Year of Yes. Yeah, there's this theory where
- 9:44Speaker 1: see what happens when you just say yes to everything
- 9:46Speaker 1: and see what it creates? Like see what the universe
- 9:49Speaker 1: is presenting you?
- 9:49Speaker 2: Right?
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah? No, the people I know who've tried this theory
- 9:52Speaker 1: have loved what it created for them.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Well, I know that your experience on Housewives this season
- 9:58Speaker 2: was not great, No, but a watcher fabulous.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Thank you tell me why it was fabulous?
- 10:06Speaker 2: Because you definitely rubbed people the wrong way, which is
- 10:11Speaker 2: very fun to watch.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Okay, right, people, but yeah, like why are they triggered?
- 10:15Speaker 1: Like what has happened?
- 10:16Speaker 2: I mean the people in the group. Yes, I'm kind
- 10:18Speaker 2: of off, like the social media of it all. So
- 10:22Speaker 2: I don't know what the feedback was from, like viewers.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I just know what I was watching, and I know
- 10:29Speaker 2: what I like to watch, and when I'm consuming Bravo,
- 10:31Speaker 2: I know why I'm there, which is to have a
- 10:33Speaker 2: strong personality enter the group and have feathers be fucking ruffled.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And why is that fun?
- 10:41Speaker 2: It's just an addiction and it's part of the Bravo universe.
- 10:44Speaker 2: There's just something iconic and wonderful about it, and moments
- 10:48Speaker 2: that maybe right then are like ooh, or I wish
- 10:52Speaker 2: I wouldn't have done that. Later on become like the
- 10:55Speaker 2: most iconic television on the planet, and we love to
- 10:59Speaker 2: see the rise and fall of people. It sounds toxic,
- 11:03Speaker 2: and it is. It is. It's a very toxic way
- 11:05Speaker 2: of thinking, right, but it always comes full circle. So
- 11:10Speaker 2: if you were misunderstood by the group this time, I think,
- 11:14Speaker 2: how wonderful that it happened your first season because it
- 11:16Speaker 2: wasn't want to go go it up? Right?
- 11:18Speaker 1: I think it was. Yes, I think it was a
- 11:19Speaker 1: rough first season that ended on a high note. Yes,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I had a great reunion.
- 11:23Speaker 2: The reunion was great.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I felt like there was resolution reunion. To me, it
- 11:28Speaker 1: felt like I just knew how to exist in that
- 11:31Speaker 1: world and still be me. Because here's what I'm thinking
- 11:34Speaker 1: at the dinner tables while we were still filming. I'm thinking, like,
- 11:37Speaker 1: I'm not gonna yell at you. I'm not going to
- 11:39Speaker 1: cuss you out. I'm not going to get all dysregulated.
- 11:41Speaker 1: That's not who I am. So how do I stand
- 11:44Speaker 1: up to you while still being me? Because the way
- 11:46Speaker 1: you guys stand up to each other is not making
- 11:49Speaker 1: any sense to me, Like that's it's just not right.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I'm the type of person where I get two finger
- 11:55Speaker 2: guns in your face and start going fucking I'm trying.
- 11:58Speaker 2: That makes great television blackout, Well, if only it happened
- 12:02Speaker 2: just on top of the shut That's just who I am, bab.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But I did enjoy watching just I find also with
- 12:14Speaker 2: watching reality TV is how perspective is just the end
- 12:19Speaker 2: all be all of most relationships that we form. Something
- 12:24Speaker 2: can happen and the way you look at it or
- 12:27Speaker 2: hear it is going to be completely different from the
- 12:30Speaker 2: person that you're having the conversation with. So that dynamic
- 12:33Speaker 2: between like you, Dree, You and Bose which was crazy
- 12:36Speaker 2: and I want to dive into. There's so much I
- 12:38Speaker 2: want to die, like my mind million miles an hour.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I just liked watching you, and it was it's very
- 12:45Speaker 2: rare that you can have someone for me on TV
- 12:48Speaker 2: where you don't get dysregulated, but you still have my
- 12:51Speaker 2: attention here.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I am right, yeah, I mean, I don't know how
- 12:56Speaker 1: else to be. But what I liked about the night
- 13:00Speaker 1: in Italy, I call it the ping Pong pizza dinner
- 13:02Speaker 1: in my head because we're eating pizza and I learned
- 13:04Speaker 1: how to play ping pong meaning energetic ping pong meaning
- 13:07Speaker 1: no matter what you throw at or conversation, whatever, no
- 13:10Speaker 1: matter what you throw at me, I'm gonna throw it
- 13:11Speaker 1: back to you. Because what was happening at the dinner
- 13:13Speaker 1: tables was people were saying shit to me, and I
- 13:15Speaker 1: was like, I don't care that much about what Dari
- 13:19Speaker 1: thinks of me. I don't know what even to say
- 13:21Speaker 1: right now other than I didn't mean to harm you.
- 13:22Speaker 1: To eat and I want the best for you, which
- 13:23Speaker 1: is not good television. Right by that dinner, we were
- 13:26Speaker 1: all eating pizza and Bo's does the whole your life
- 13:29Speaker 1: is not pure, you are not being honest about your
- 13:31Speaker 1: life or whatever, and I'm like going back and forth
- 13:34Speaker 1: with her. By that night I was like, I can
- 13:36Speaker 1: do this. I just say whatever is true, whatever is real,
- 13:40Speaker 1: and whatever. I just say whatever I really feel without
- 13:44Speaker 1: insulting and yelling and name calling because that will never
- 13:46Speaker 1: be me. And that night I was like, Okay, I
- 13:48Speaker 1: did it. Like I found my therapist and Kyle and
- 13:53Speaker 1: multiple people were like mentioned this idea of like television,
- 13:58Speaker 1: Amanda like me and Kyle had to come over station
- 14:00Speaker 1: where she told me about like TV Kyle handles it
- 14:03Speaker 1: a little bit different than Kyle. Kyle Kyle handles it.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And my therapist was kind of hitting out the same thing,
- 14:08Speaker 1: like regular you isn't really what is probably going to
- 14:12Speaker 1: be the end result here, It's going to be a
- 14:14Speaker 1: you on TV that is still real. And by that
- 14:17Speaker 1: night I felt like I got it, And so by
- 14:19Speaker 1: the reunion, I was like, say anything to me. I'll
- 14:22Speaker 1: just tell you what I think about it. It doesn't
- 14:24Speaker 1: mean it's true. It doesn't mean it's real. It doesn't
- 14:26Speaker 1: mean you can harm me.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Right, you know what I mean?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Because early in the season, I'm like, are you trying
- 14:30Speaker 1: to hurt me? Like you just met me? What have
- 14:33Speaker 1: I done to you? I don't get what we're doing here.
- 14:37Speaker 1: By the reunion, I was like, people are going to
- 14:38Speaker 1: try to bring up dirt. That's the show, So ping
- 14:41Speaker 1: pong it back without because it'll never be be me
- 14:45Speaker 1: without trying to take them down.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Totally, because I just and it's a fine line.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I just can't. I just don't want any I don't
- 14:51Speaker 1: want to see another woman go down because it's something
- 14:53Speaker 1: I brought up on a show.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I totally get that.
- 14:55Speaker 1: That's like not going to be the thing I do.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Who would you say you were? Obviously you and Bose
- 15:02Speaker 2: were not connecting.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Any stupidest thing about that, like really annoying is I
- 15:08Speaker 1: don't think that's accurate. I think that is almost a
- 15:12Speaker 1: result of television. Because the first time I sat down
- 15:16Speaker 1: with Bose, it was that lunch with me and Bose
- 15:18Speaker 1: and Deuritte, and I was encouraging dread right, and like,
- 15:23Speaker 1: why no one thinks I'm a financial planner?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Right?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Like no one thought I was going to give her
- 15:28Speaker 1: advice on like what you know how that She's like,
- 15:30Speaker 1: what is this fru freu mess? Like no one thinks
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'm a financial planner. I was encouraging her that if
- 15:34Speaker 1: you don't know what's in savings and you don't know
- 15:36Speaker 1: what's investments, and you don't know like what's going on
- 15:38Speaker 1: with your money, like get your head on straight, Like
- 15:40Speaker 1: who are you going to be? Where you going to decide?
- 15:42Speaker 1: What outcome do you want?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Here?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Like it was a great talk and in real life
- 15:45Speaker 1: boss going amen, Yeah, she was agreeing with me as
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm encouraging Deriat. And then Bose and I are quoting
- 15:51Speaker 1: Bible verses back and forth to each other, and we're
- 15:54Speaker 1: talking about manifestation from a biblical perspective because honestly, we
- 15:58Speaker 1: have a lot in common with our Christian backgrounds. Right,
- 16:02Speaker 1: So Bose and I actually got along like great. And
- 16:04Speaker 1: I think if there was no show without the show
- 16:07Speaker 1: of it all, I think like I would have loved
- 16:10Speaker 1: to hear more about what her badass Bo's workshop thing
- 16:13Speaker 1: had been about and how it was going, and if
- 16:15Speaker 1: she had run outs and if she was doing email market,
- 16:17Speaker 1: Like there's parts of me as the online entrepreneur that
- 16:21Speaker 1: would have had so many questions and so many felt
- 16:23Speaker 1: like I think there was just probably common ground, and
- 16:27Speaker 1: it felt like it got all distorted. It seems like
- 16:29Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be that way.
- 16:30Speaker 2: You know what I mean. Yes, but there's two things
- 16:33Speaker 2: happening at once. And I always say you have to
- 16:34Speaker 2: when you enter this world, you have to be able
- 16:36Speaker 2: to separate reality from reality because even though what goes
- 16:41Speaker 2: on on the show is very much real life, right
- 16:43Speaker 2: these things and conversations are happening, there's.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Your real response to the situation you really are in
- 16:49Speaker 1: one that it's not your real life, because these are
- 16:52Speaker 1: my real life.
- 16:53Speaker 2: I go home to two children, you go home to
- 16:56Speaker 2: four children, and it's just as different. How do you
- 17:00Speaker 2: let the worlds bleed into each other? It can become
- 17:03Speaker 2: very suffocating. Yeah, So back to what your therapist said,
- 17:06Speaker 2: and Kyle, when I step into film, I have to
- 17:09Speaker 2: do the exact same thing because it's self preservation. It
- 17:12Speaker 2: is not normal to go into a group of women
- 17:15Speaker 2: where you guys all have very strong personalities and then
- 17:19Speaker 2: you allow a bunch of random people who are watching
- 17:21Speaker 2: to then insert their opinion. You have totally some sort
- 17:26Speaker 2: of like you got to become a Sasha fears like beyond.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Right, all of that you just said true, And then
- 17:32Speaker 1: there's so many other layers that, like it's really hard
- 17:34Speaker 1: to wrap your head around. There's producers, you know, with
- 17:37Speaker 1: spring things in people ear like I'm not even saying
- 17:39Speaker 1: in a manipulative way, just in keeping storylines moving forward,
- 17:42Speaker 1: Like remember how you felt when you saw dury last
- 17:45Speaker 1: might be said to you. Remember you said this and
- 17:47Speaker 1: she said this, might be said to you as you're
- 17:49Speaker 1: walking into like film again, Like that also doesn't happen
- 17:52Speaker 1: in real life. In real life, we're probably getting over
- 17:55Speaker 1: things and processing battles. Yeah, totally of picking my battles, right,
- 18:00Speaker 1: So that's different. And then also interviews, interviews don't happen
- 18:04Speaker 1: in real life.
- 18:05Speaker 2: You don't get Andy's notes in real life.
- 18:08Speaker 1: For the next interview.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Here's your cue, car, I'm gonna ask you all of
- 18:11Speaker 2: these questions.
- 18:13Speaker 1: I so all of these layers, and then media and
- 18:16Speaker 1: then social media and then reddit and fan opinions. Yeah,
- 18:20Speaker 1: this creates this very interesting thing, right, so.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You have all of that going on, but then which
- 18:27Speaker 2: is very much real life, But then we watch as
- 18:31Speaker 2: your actual real life comes into play while filming, which
- 18:35Speaker 2: is the passing of your child, which I'm not gonna stop. Sorry,
- 18:41Speaker 2: I don't know why that just came to me, Like
- 18:47Speaker 2: how how were you able to be like, I'm going
- 18:50Speaker 2: to go and film with this group while hitting a
- 18:56Speaker 2: day of just like the ultimate morning.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Well, I was really naive, so I hadn't had any
- 19:05Speaker 1: negativity yet. No one had thrown anything at me yet.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I had not had one like accusation Amanda tell me
- 19:11Speaker 1: about this. So I knew logically that that kind of
- 19:15Speaker 1: thing happened on this show, but I didn't think it
- 19:17Speaker 1: would be coming at me. Kyle said something to me like,
- 19:21Speaker 1: get your mind off it. Come to the dinner. I
- 19:23Speaker 1: made sure all the producers knew what day. It was,
- 19:26Speaker 1: like everyone knew and then you know, you didn't see it.
- 19:29Speaker 1: But Erica came up to me early that night and said,
- 19:32Speaker 1: what's going on with you? And I said, you know,
- 19:34Speaker 1: it's anniversary of Zion Staff I told her. So it's
- 19:36Speaker 1: not like it was a secret, So it's not like
- 19:39Speaker 1: the whole I don't know people act like I was
- 19:41Speaker 1: withholding it then using it as leverage.
- 19:44Speaker 2: You said at the very beginning of the season, when
- 19:46Speaker 2: like the audience really met you.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Oh, I told everyone straight away a child, Yeah, because
- 19:53Speaker 1: it's like a it's like a what's the phrase, like
- 19:56Speaker 1: elephant in the room or something. It's like I find
- 19:58Speaker 1: in new relationships. I don't know if I do it
- 20:00Speaker 1: correctly or not, but sometimes when I'm meeting someone for
- 20:02Speaker 1: the first time or forming a friendship that I think's
- 20:05Speaker 1: going to be in my life, I tell them about
- 20:08Speaker 1: Zion Kinder early on, because if I don't let someone
- 20:11Speaker 1: know early on, then there's this awkward moment where I
- 20:14Speaker 1: mentioned that I had a twin pregnancy and they know
- 20:16Speaker 1: I don't have a twin right right, So I kind
- 20:19Speaker 1: of just tell people like as soon as it comes up.
- 20:23Speaker 1: It makes it easier going forward. They don't accidentally say
- 20:26Speaker 1: something like hurtful later, you.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Know what I mean.
- 20:30Speaker 1: So that's what I do. So I told all the
- 20:31Speaker 1: women the very first night. I thought, Okay, well, now
- 20:34Speaker 1: everyone knows. So later when pregnancies come up, kids come up,
- 20:38Speaker 1: like I was still still that it was less than
- 20:40Speaker 1: two years old. We're filming like she's only a year
- 20:42Speaker 1: and a half, so I'm still technically postpartum, right, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: So I'm just thinking like, no, matter what happens from here,
- 20:46Speaker 1: everyone knows. And then filming on the anniversary of the death.
- 20:50Speaker 1: I really thought would be fine because nothing had occurred yet.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I didn't know that someone was saying to Sutton, Hey, Sutton,
- 20:57Speaker 1: go tell to read what Amanda said, when Amanda never
- 20:59Speaker 1: really said anything, right, you know, I feel kind of
- 21:02Speaker 1: set up on that night, honestly.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's where it does, because when you're dealing
- 21:10Speaker 2: with something like that, which is very much your real life,
- 21:12Speaker 2: you're still showing up and having to film what's going
- 21:16Speaker 2: on within the group, and like, we know you're going
- 21:17Speaker 2: through something, but like, remember that dinner you guys had,
- 21:20Speaker 2: We're gonna need to talk about what was said there.
- 21:22Speaker 2: And that's like during that dinner, I didn't understand why
- 21:28Speaker 2: anyone thought that you were like pulling that out at
- 21:31Speaker 2: the perfect time, because when you said I'm hanging on
- 21:33Speaker 2: by a thread, I just could see it.
- 21:35Speaker 1: In your eyes and hang by a thread?
- 21:36Speaker 2: Oh, could you really want to be hanging on by
- 21:38Speaker 2: a thread?
- 21:38Speaker 1: And it's just the timing of it, right, Like I
- 21:40Speaker 1: go talk to the psychic. I headed off with the psychic. Angie,
- 21:44Speaker 1: She's I still know her. She's wonderful. I headed off
- 21:46Speaker 1: with the psychic. I asked her if she's getting anything
- 21:49Speaker 1: for me about Zion. I think maybe there's a chance
- 21:51Speaker 1: there's a message, right, like, wouldn't that be beautiful?
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:54Speaker 1: Nothing comes through. So I'm crying, and then I go
- 21:57Speaker 1: cry in the bathroom and then I dry my tears.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I sit at the time the second I set down.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Derey is like Amanda, like I, and so when I'm
- 22:04Speaker 1: saying to her, it's not a good day, I cannot
- 22:06Speaker 1: even wrap my head around what you're saying. It's because
- 22:09Speaker 1: I couldn't even wrap my head around what she was saying,
- 22:10Speaker 1: like I need to be let's table it right, because listen,
- 22:14Speaker 1: had I formed some really strong opinion about Durte and
- 22:17Speaker 1: her ex and whatever, and it was an opinion I
- 22:19Speaker 1: was holding or whatever, I probably would have been prepared
- 22:21Speaker 1: to talk about it. But I didn't remember saying anything
- 22:24Speaker 1: bad about her. So then I spend the whole rest
- 22:27Speaker 1: of the season worried that I said something horrible about
- 22:30Speaker 1: Durrete at Kathy's house that I'm not remembering right, and
- 22:33Speaker 1: now the fans are going to see what I actually said.
- 22:35Speaker 1: And then I watched the scene at Kathy's and I
- 22:37Speaker 1: didn't say anything when you.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I remembered it, right.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I remembered it perfectly right.
- 22:43Speaker 2: The worst feeling where you're like, I feel like I'm
- 22:45Speaker 2: being guessed, and then you start I feel.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Like crazy, did I see something?
- 22:49Speaker 2: Like now I already.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Love what because now I satched? Now I feel great.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Well now that we had that situation at Kathy's with Deret,
- 22:56Speaker 1: and then there was one thing with Rachel and I
- 22:58Speaker 1: guess like three things with bows between and like the
- 23:00Speaker 1: mask and the I'd lose money on my course, whatever
- 23:05Speaker 1: the mom thing. By the time we got through the reunion,
- 23:08Speaker 1: I was like Amanda France's you remembered everything right. Actually,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you trust yourself like you trust yourself like none of
- 23:15Speaker 1: us remembers everything perfectly ever, but you remember how you
- 23:19Speaker 1: felt and you remember what the energy of the moment was.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Like trust that, but like we don't normally have cameras
- 23:27Speaker 1: to validate whether we remember it right.
- 23:28Speaker 2: It's so wonderful. So well, it's wonderful roll the tape,
- 23:32Speaker 2: but it was wonderful in.
- 23:33Speaker 1: My case because I was trying to remember things accurately
- 23:35Speaker 1: and I was always trying to tell the truth. So
- 23:37Speaker 1: when I did remember things accurately. It was like trust yourself.
- 23:41Speaker 2: You know. Once it aired. Did you get a message
- 23:44Speaker 2: or anything from Deury?
- 23:45Speaker 3: No?
- 23:46Speaker 2: Are you guys okay after the reunion?
- 23:48Speaker 1: I haven't talked. I don't think thinking about each other.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Are you contact with anybody?
- 23:52Speaker 1: Do you think me and read are sitting around thinking
- 23:53Speaker 1: about one of the.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know what the girls of
- 23:57Speaker 2: BAH are sitting around thinking about.
- 23:59Speaker 1: No, I've seen I saw Kathy. Kathy and I have
- 24:04Speaker 1: her grandkids and my kids are in the same school.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Three of her grandkids and my two youngest kids go
- 24:10Speaker 1: to the same school.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:11Speaker 1: So I was at Kathy's for her grandson's birthday party,
- 24:14Speaker 1: super cute, and Kathy and I talked about all kinds
- 24:17Speaker 1: of stuff.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Show.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Kathy's wonderful. We talked about show.
- 24:20Speaker 2: It's very easy.
- 24:21Speaker 1: She's just actually she's great, Like she really has this
- 24:25Speaker 1: like great I think, very maternal, big sister mentor like
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm here vibe. Yeah, and kind of the one that
- 24:31Speaker 1: answers the phone, kind of them that calls you and
- 24:33Speaker 1: checks up on I just think she's a vibe. Jennifer
- 24:36Speaker 1: has been great to me. She's been filming, but we
- 24:40Speaker 1: at the Reduni, We're like, okay, we're gonna get lunch
- 24:42Speaker 1: when you get back from New York. I don't know,
- 24:43Speaker 1: Like I feel like I'm on okay terms with plenty
- 24:46Speaker 1: of people, but like, I don't think a lot of
- 24:51Speaker 1: the cast is hanging out when we're not filming anyway.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I don't think any of the casts is hanging out
- 24:55Speaker 1: or not except what I guess in real life, like
- 24:58Speaker 1: Sutton and Jennifer hang out with our friends in real life,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and like, yeah, real real life.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I do have to ask, when you watched the season back,
- 25:17Speaker 2: was there any point in time that you looked at
- 25:20Speaker 2: certain things that you said and thought, I wish I
- 25:24Speaker 2: wouldn't have said that.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I watched the first so I didn't watch. Oh I watched,
- 25:33Speaker 1: I didn't watch after Sedona?
- 25:36Speaker 2: What was the reasoning? Too hard?
- 25:38Speaker 1: I hated that, Like I thought my Sedona was just
- 25:41Speaker 1: a very like cringey like depiction of who I am, okay,
- 25:49Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm just I'm just not gonna watch,
- 25:52Speaker 1: just not gonna do this to myself.
- 25:53Speaker 2: That's very interesting though, because I did.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Not Sidona was the ten thousand dollars on crystals, which
- 26:00Speaker 1: was like we were looking at the bottom of the crystals,
- 26:02Speaker 1: deciding which ones we were going to buy, and I was like,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I spent ten thousand non crystals in one sitting, but
- 26:06Speaker 1: like that in context of looking at how expensive they were,
- 26:09Speaker 1: that was a normal thing to say in a conversation.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And then it was the I have sun skin in
- 26:15Speaker 1: my Chanel backpack, which in context is cute and funny
- 26:19Speaker 1: to go hiking and have sun skin in your Chanel backpack.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Like the juxtaposition of that, Like me and my friends
- 26:24Speaker 1: find that funny.
- 26:26Speaker 2: But can I tell you when I first entered the
- 26:29Speaker 2: last show that I was on and I showed up
- 26:32Speaker 2: as myself and no one thought that I was funny.
- 26:35Speaker 2: And I remember looking around being like my friend's back
- 26:38Speaker 2: in Utah. I think I am a hoo and a half.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I like I am hilarious, like once you know my humor,
- 26:44Speaker 1: Like people were recre little clips of my courses, just
- 26:47Speaker 1: little things I say where I'm teaching, not even meaning to,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and like put it like DM me or put it
- 26:51Speaker 1: on Instagram, be like you are so funny, Like being
- 26:53Speaker 1: funny is part of like my personality. I think my identity,
- 26:57Speaker 1: like I I identify, I get it yet yeah, the girls.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But if your wheelmor is a little dry, yes, then
- 27:03Speaker 1: you can very easily crop something and make it seem
- 27:06Speaker 1: like it's serious.
- 27:07Speaker 2: One person I remember, after like a couple of years
- 27:12Speaker 2: had gone by, finally my group that I also filmed
- 27:16Speaker 2: a show with, they were like, oh, oh, this is
- 27:20Speaker 2: just like your thing.
- 27:23Speaker 1: This is like this is like one of her her bits.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, And when a new person would come in,
- 27:28Speaker 2: they'd be like that Lala, and they're like, no, no, she's
- 27:30Speaker 2: just being She's being a lot. That's just her bit,
- 27:32Speaker 2: like she's spinny this way. I think that will happen.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I think you choose to go back, people are going
- 27:37Speaker 2: to get.
- 27:37Speaker 1: You well, I think so. I think a lot of
- 27:39Speaker 1: things are working in my favorite with that more they
- 27:41Speaker 1: saw me be consistent the whole season. They saw me
- 27:44Speaker 1: like continue to be the like it's clear that I
- 27:47Speaker 1: was just being myself by the end of the season.
- 27:48Speaker 1: You get that. That helps. I think a lot of
- 27:50Speaker 1: people have come over to my social media and so
- 27:52Speaker 1: now they get more of the humor, more of the
- 27:54Speaker 1: personality through just like my content, and a lot of
- 27:57Speaker 1: people have taken a chance like on my work, read
- 27:59Speaker 1: my book or a bought like a five dollars offer
- 28:02Speaker 1: twenty Like I just did this twenty one day manifestation
- 28:05Speaker 1: program that was twenty one modules for twenty one dollars
- 28:07Speaker 1: and we had over five thousand people sign up, and
- 28:10Speaker 1: a lot we're from the Bravo world, So I think
- 28:12Speaker 1: the Bravo people are going like, Oh, this is what
- 28:15Speaker 1: she teaches and how she teaches it, and this is
- 28:17Speaker 1: what she does, and this is her humor and this
- 28:20Speaker 1: is her with her family. I think they're getting more context. Yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 1: and it's making more sense to people. And you're not
- 28:24Speaker 1: going to win them all and I don't need to. Yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 1: but it's going to be clear that, like you're saying,
- 28:29Speaker 1: you just being you, it's gonna be clear that I'm
- 28:31Speaker 1: just being me. Because what I said to production in
- 28:34Speaker 1: the show runner and a lot of people in a
- 28:35Speaker 1: lot of moments was I don't know how to be
- 28:37Speaker 1: anything with me.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I met someone who fakes it very well.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I don't really know how, you know, like I don't
- 28:45Speaker 1: have I will never be someone capable of like playing
- 28:48Speaker 1: a character. You know.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I don't think you need to.
- 28:51Speaker 1: It's not within me, right, I think some people do.
- 28:53Speaker 1: I think people show up to the show of like
- 28:55Speaker 1: I'm going to be the girl's girl and I'm going
- 28:57Speaker 1: to take this dance and it's every scene. Make sure you.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Think that it's much more calculated then you're capable of.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm intentional. I have intentions. I've been planned, but like, yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 1: I can't fake it.
- 29:10Speaker 2: I think we all saw that. I mean, I don't
- 29:12Speaker 2: think you can fake being calm, cool and collected. Thank you. Well.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Think I have a background in therapy, right, Like I've
- 29:19Speaker 1: been mastering counseling. So that means you have people to
- 29:22Speaker 1: sit there and your client is telling you crazy stuff
- 29:25Speaker 1: and you can't show it on your face. No, you
- 29:26Speaker 1: have to be You have to collect your thoughts and
- 29:28Speaker 1: figure out what you are gonna say to them, like
- 29:31Speaker 1: what is most helpful for them to be heard and
- 29:33Speaker 1: understood in that moment, which might not be your shockun
- 29:36Speaker 1: off face.
- 29:37Speaker 2: You know what I mean. No, you can't have that,
- 29:39Speaker 2: So like I have that, and then I don't know.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm just I am. I've done a lot of internal
- 29:43Speaker 1: like work on myself. I am a regulated person. I
- 29:45Speaker 1: don't fill off the handle easily.
- 29:47Speaker 2: What made you want to get into the business of
- 29:49Speaker 2: like turning manifesting into like your livelihood.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Well, I never really decided to do that, like, okay,
- 29:58Speaker 1: it just happened kind of damn, I mean honestly. So
- 30:02Speaker 1: I'm in my master's program. I started coaching business, so
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm life coaching like part time and on the side,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I do that through my master's program. Then I get
- 30:10Speaker 1: into my dream PhD program and my business is growing
- 30:13Speaker 1: like quickly, and I'm like, I think I have to
- 30:15Speaker 1: choose business or PhD. So I was like, PhD's not
- 30:17Speaker 1: going to help me help more people or make more money.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I think I have to do this online. I think
- 30:22Speaker 1: I like, I just sensed and I was right that
- 30:25Speaker 1: this was the time to go big on the internet,
- 30:27Speaker 1: Like there weren't a lot of.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I just had a feeling that like I could make
- 30:34Speaker 1: a name for myself or whatever, and I was right.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But I have But I have like three thousand people
- 30:39Speaker 1: on Instagram as I'm feeling this, So this isn't based
- 30:41Speaker 1: on any logic or reason.
- 30:43Speaker 2: I just love it.
- 30:44Speaker 1: This is love it, this is my vibe, right, this
- 30:46Speaker 1: is totally delusional manifestie. I'm going to go all in
- 30:50Speaker 1: on my cell vipes. So I quit my PhD program,
- 30:54Speaker 1: I go big on my business and I'm like, Okay,
- 30:56Speaker 1: so far my clients have come from flyers. Iying like
- 31:01Speaker 1: feeling stuck. I'm Amanda Francis, call me for life coaching
- 31:04Speaker 1: flyers at every Starbucks in Dallas every week for like
- 31:08Speaker 1: over eight years, Texas. I'm from Oklahoma, but I went
- 31:10Speaker 1: to grad school in Texas.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Okay, got it? Yeah?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Yeah, So all it was from referrals and flyers all
- 31:17Speaker 1: my clients, and I'm like, okay, I figure out how
- 31:19Speaker 1: to promote myself online. So I'd been practicing this like
- 31:25Speaker 1: through grad school, but I was like, I got to
- 31:26Speaker 1: go big on this with how do I put inspirational
- 31:29Speaker 1: and motivational content online every day in a way where
- 31:32Speaker 1: people would be interested in working with me? And I
- 31:35Speaker 1: basically that's what I did. I coached my clients and
- 31:37Speaker 1: I got good at internet marketing before I knew the
- 31:39Speaker 1: word was internet marketing, you know. And then eventually I
- 31:42Speaker 1: go like, Okay, I can only see so many clients
- 31:47Speaker 1: in a week, and I'm only gonna be able to
- 31:48Speaker 1: charge so much per like coaching package for life coaching
- 31:52Speaker 1: these young girls, right, most of my clients were young girls,
- 31:55Speaker 1: so what should I do? And then I had an idea, like,
- 31:57Speaker 1: why don't you train other therapists on how to put
- 32:00Speaker 1: come a coach? Create a course called become a Coach.
- 32:03Speaker 1: So that's what I did. I created my first digital
- 32:05Speaker 1: course and I enrolled fifteen people in it, many of
- 32:07Speaker 1: them had a background on mental health counseling. And I
- 32:11Speaker 1: sold out that course like I hit the number I
- 32:13Speaker 1: wanted to hit, and I was like, oh my god,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I can make a lot more money and help a
- 32:16Speaker 1: lot more people at once. This was like the vibe.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I was like, I think digital courses are going to
- 32:20Speaker 1: be like my thing. And so then I just kept
- 32:22Speaker 1: creating courses on whatever I was learning, you know, like
- 32:25Speaker 1: here's how to sell online, here's how oh, here's how
- 32:28Speaker 1: to create your own digital course. Like I was just
- 32:30Speaker 1: creating courses, creating courses. They were doing well. I was
- 32:33Speaker 1: developing a following of like repeat buyers. It was good.
- 32:36Speaker 1: And I was noticing a theme that all my clients
- 32:39Speaker 1: wanted to talk to me about money. All of my
- 32:42Speaker 1: clients wanted to hear my thoughts on many because I
- 32:47Speaker 1: had a way of noticing and pointing out people's patterns
- 32:50Speaker 1: that I don't think was normal or common.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Especially at the time night came with money for it.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Let me be specific, Like a client tells me, Okay,
- 32:58Speaker 1: I remember this one girl, like she's in my mind
- 33:00Speaker 1: right now. She had a sales job and she was
- 33:02Speaker 1: telling me that like she had never gotten a commission
- 33:05Speaker 1: over this amount. She did not believe what was possible
- 33:08Speaker 1: to commission over that amount. And I'm like, well, it
- 33:10Speaker 1: is your commission capped and she's like no. I was like, well,
- 33:13Speaker 1: let's play with it. What would it be like if
- 33:16Speaker 1: your commission was this instead of this? Like could you
- 33:19Speaker 1: believe it? Could you feel it? Could you imagine it? Right? So,
- 33:22Speaker 1: like essentially like we're working on manifesting. But then another thing.
- 33:26Speaker 1: The same client was telling me that she paid off
- 33:28Speaker 1: all of her debt and the next month she had
- 33:30Speaker 1: an expense that went right back up to the same
- 33:32Speaker 1: amount of debt. And I'm like, okay, so you kind
- 33:34Speaker 1: of have an expectation as set point around your available
- 33:38Speaker 1: for this amount of debt. Can we imagine it being lower?
- 33:41Speaker 1: Can we play with that? What would it mean about
- 33:44Speaker 1: you if you had less debt? And when you do
- 33:46Speaker 1: that with people, you kind of start getting into their
- 33:48Speaker 1: unworthiness like they don't feel worthy of the things they
- 33:51Speaker 1: spin on. They don't feel worthy of the school they
- 33:53Speaker 1: went to that the use student loans for Like, there's
- 33:56Speaker 1: a lot of like a lot of our insecurities will
- 33:59Speaker 1: come up if you look at look at how you
- 34:01Speaker 1: spend money, how you carry debt, what your income is.
- 34:04Speaker 1: People cap themselves all day long. We have like these
- 34:07Speaker 1: set points. Anyway. So I'm realizing that, and I'm working
- 34:10Speaker 1: with people on that, and I'm like, I'm going to
- 34:12Speaker 1: create a course on this. Let me create my first
- 34:14Speaker 1: money mindset course, though I don't think that was really
- 34:18Speaker 1: a thing, and so I called it Money Mentality Makeover
- 34:21Speaker 1: and it was a three module course. I sold it
- 34:23Speaker 1: for like one hundred bucks and people were like obsessed.
- 34:26Speaker 1: They loved it. So basically that course I've added to
- 34:30Speaker 1: every year for thirteen years. Those those three modules are
- 34:33Speaker 1: still the first three modules, but now the course has like,
- 34:35Speaker 1: I don't know, twenty six hours of content or something.
- 34:38Speaker 2: What was your relationship with money when you created it? So, however,
- 34:42Speaker 2: you wanted to be rich as fuck everything.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I always thought I would make money, Okay, Yeah, Like
- 34:48Speaker 1: when I took out my insane student loans to go
- 34:50Speaker 1: to grad school and stuff. I really believed that I
- 34:52Speaker 1: would pay them back. I really believed I would be okay.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Like I remember driving around like my clunky, beat up
- 34:58Speaker 1: car and having this like attitude of like, no, this
- 35:02Speaker 1: is a good thing. It's a vibe for me to
- 35:04Speaker 1: have a clunky, beat up car because this is my beginning, right, Like,
- 35:09Speaker 1: it's only you can only like have a good time
- 35:11Speaker 1: with your clunky car if you know it's not the
- 35:13Speaker 1: end of your story. But I knew. I knew I
- 35:17Speaker 1: would look back on that season of being a broke
- 35:18Speaker 1: grad school student and it would just be my beginning.
- 35:21Speaker 1: You know. I've always knew I would make money. I
- 35:23Speaker 1: thought I would have a private practice in therapy, that
- 35:26Speaker 1: I would write books, speak on stages, and be a professor.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And it's so funny because I do all of that
- 35:31Speaker 1: stuff now is just through like life coaching personal development world,
- 35:34Speaker 1: not therapy world. But I do all the things I
- 35:36Speaker 1: always thought I would do so again manifesting.
- 35:39Speaker 2: But as far as money, everything I.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Teach and money Men Teddy Makeover is all based on
- 35:44Speaker 1: what worked for me and my clients. I had debt
- 35:46Speaker 1: I couldn't pay down. I had that like, oh, wait,
- 35:50Speaker 1: I can never make more than this no matter what
- 35:52Speaker 1: I do. What is that about? Like all these like
- 35:54Speaker 1: things that I described in my book and have taught
- 35:57Speaker 1: and money men Teddy Makeover is all based on my
- 36:01Speaker 1: experience around having a really clean, clear, healthy relationship with money.
- 36:08Speaker 2: So then does that makes sense? It makes all the sense.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:10Speaker 2: And by the way, I have an interesting relationship with money.
- 36:17Speaker 2: And here's why. I lived a very beautiful and privileged
- 36:22Speaker 2: life as a child. And then two thousand and eight
- 36:26Speaker 2: hits the recession, my dad basically lost everything. I had
- 36:31Speaker 2: been modeling quote unquote in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm
- 36:36Speaker 2: stacking my pennies since the time I was like a
- 36:38Speaker 2: young girl. My mom worked and was able to financially
- 36:42Speaker 2: support the family through a really difficult time. I was
- 36:46Speaker 2: able to contribute so now. And then I got with
- 36:51Speaker 2: a guy who that's a nuanced situation. He had money.
- 36:56Speaker 2: That's a quote unquote too. Where it comes from who
- 37:00Speaker 2: it is, I don't know. I lived a beautiful life
- 37:02Speaker 2: but continued to work while I was with this man
- 37:06Speaker 2: because my mom had taught me you always have to
- 37:09Speaker 2: be an independent person. Yeah, because there is going to
- 37:12Speaker 2: be a day where a plan B needs to happen.
- 37:14Speaker 2: And that doesn't necessarily mean that, like your rich guy
- 37:17Speaker 2: is going to leave you, but maybe the guy hits
- 37:19Speaker 2: on some hard times and you have to keep you
- 37:21Speaker 2: a flash.
- 37:22Speaker 1: She's saying, don't me dependent on a man? Told me
- 37:24Speaker 1: a similar thing, yes, and I took it. My mom said,
- 37:27Speaker 1: go to college, get a good job, make a lot
- 37:29Speaker 1: of money, never depend on a man. And I took
- 37:32Speaker 1: those words very seriously.
- 37:33Speaker 2: You have to. Yeah, And when I talk to women
- 37:37Speaker 2: who don't know what is going on with their finances.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, it makes me crazy. I was talking
- 37:42Speaker 1: about it on Good Day LA this morning. I was like,
- 37:44Speaker 1: there's no excuse anymore. There's no excuses. Twenty twenty six.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Get the log into the account. Know how much is
- 37:50Speaker 1: an investment in savings? Like what's the income? What's the output?
- 37:53Speaker 1: Like how much does it cost for you to live
- 37:54Speaker 1: and survive each month? There is no reason not to know.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Even if you aren't the money maker, you have to know, yes,
- 38:01Speaker 1: just because you're gonna look. Guess Also, women are fucking
- 38:03Speaker 1: smarter than men. You're gonna look at how he's managing
- 38:06Speaker 1: finances and go.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Like, Babe, this doesn't make sense.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be great if we contributed this this way? Like,
- 38:10Speaker 1: if you educate yourself a little, you're probably gonna have
- 38:13Speaker 1: a good fucking idea. Like women are smart and capable,
- 38:17Speaker 1: and we got to empower ourselves around money, whether we
- 38:20Speaker 1: make it or Like, I love being a money maker.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Nothing is ever gonna change that. Yeah. But if Eddie
- 38:25Speaker 1: like whatever, ends up making more money than me and
- 38:27Speaker 1: we won the lottery, like I don't care what, I
- 38:29Speaker 1: would never not know. I check all my accounts, like
- 38:33Speaker 1: I'm so intentional, I don't know, it's just no excuses.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Well that's my biggest thing, because I'm a mom of
- 38:38Speaker 2: two little girls, and I need them to understand same
- 38:43Speaker 2: that it is great. I hope you go fall in love,
- 38:46Speaker 2: and I hope you have butterflies and rainbows. But shit
- 38:50Speaker 2: gets real really fucking fast. Yeah, and you don't even
- 38:53Speaker 2: have time to think. Yeah, and sometimes your bank account
- 38:57Speaker 2: is the only thing standing between sex king and swimmy.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Well totally. Oh I just had something so good flat.
- 39:05Speaker 2: In my head.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Many women, little girls, Oh my god, right there? Oh
- 39:14Speaker 1: how about this? Like I was a self made woman
- 39:20Speaker 1: with the multiple seven figure yearly business when I met Eddie.
- 39:23Speaker 1: That meant. I just remember being single, being ready to
- 39:27Speaker 1: meet my person and knowing that like I didn't have
- 39:30Speaker 1: to base it on money, like I want it right,
- 39:33Speaker 1: like I wanted the I was clear though, I wanted
- 39:35Speaker 1: my person to like do something they love, have meaning
- 39:38Speaker 1: and purpose in their day, in their life, be very
- 39:41Speaker 1: much a contributing member of the family like Eddie would
- 39:44Speaker 1: never moosh on me. Eddie would never like he would
- 39:47Speaker 1: never let me pay for everything. Like if we go
- 39:49Speaker 1: on a date, he pays, you know what I mean.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Like we're going on a camping trip this weekend. He
- 39:53Speaker 1: planned it, He's paying for it. Like I don't know.
- 39:56Speaker 1: It's that's kind of like our thing. If I plan it,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I pay for it. If he plans it, he like
- 40:00Speaker 1: I don't. He just is a contributing member of the family,
- 40:03Speaker 1: Like he buys groceries, He's paid some of the bills,
- 40:05Speaker 1: like it doesn't like, yes, I'll pay the mortgage, I'll
- 40:08Speaker 1: make more money. I don't care. But if you were
- 40:09Speaker 1: like a mooch, I wouldn't think you were hot, you
- 40:12Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yes, the dynamic is working. You found your person and
- 40:15Speaker 2: what he contributes and you contribute is a great life.
- 40:19Speaker 1: I don't need him to contribute. I've said before, do
- 40:22Speaker 1: you want to be a stay at home dad? Because
- 40:23Speaker 1: it's on the table. But he would never you know,
- 40:26Speaker 1: he's a man who goes off there and a.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Lot of work. A stay at home anything, I know.
- 40:29Speaker 1: But he's a man that goes out there, right, yes,
- 40:34Speaker 1: but he goes over there and he does his work
- 40:35Speaker 1: every day. And that mattered to me.
- 40:37Speaker 2: Very hot too, He's so hot and all is that man?
- 40:40Speaker 1: Six five?
- 40:41Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about this. I really like the direction
- 40:44Speaker 2: of this. How do I manifest a six to my
- 40:47Speaker 2: mad man? Oh my god?
- 40:48Speaker 1: I can talk about this all day. Okay, we need
- 40:50Speaker 1: a new position. I'm trying not to.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Get that a new position because this is how we're
- 40:53Speaker 2: going to wrap the podcast is finding me a six
- 40:56Speaker 2: foot tall, dark and handsome oh like a fucking horse,
- 41:00Speaker 2: huge pan.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Good for you, heyse, God, pise God, Thanks God. Okay, So, okay,
- 41:08Speaker 1: there's so much here to manifesting a man. It's like,
- 41:11Speaker 1: honestly a little bit more nuanced than manifesting money because
- 41:13Speaker 1: we're not just talking about money, which is an nanimate
- 41:17Speaker 1: object that is like a ref like money is available
- 41:20Speaker 1: in droves Like many is out there. We're talking about
- 41:22Speaker 1: like a human being who has free will, So it's
- 41:25Speaker 1: a little bit more of like a nuanced manifestation. So
- 41:28Speaker 1: there's many, many things. But here's what I did. So
- 41:30Speaker 1: I would say number one, when you get really clear
- 41:33Speaker 1: on like the characteristics, like the like what you desire, Like,
- 41:37Speaker 1: I would make these lists and I said to God
- 41:41Speaker 1: and to my journal and to everyone, that's six' three
- 41:43Speaker 1: was my? Minimum minimum? Minimum? Yeah MIGHT i remember right
- 41:48Speaker 1: AFTER i Met, EDDIE i had a date planned With
- 41:50Speaker 1: eddie AND i had a date planned with someone else
- 41:52Speaker 1: the same. Weekend And eddie was six y five and
- 41:54Speaker 1: the other guy was six. Four And i'm telling my dad.
- 41:56Speaker 1: This My dad's, Like, amanda And i'm like six freeze the, Minimum,
- 42:01Speaker 1: Dad and he's, like but you want to like have
- 42:03Speaker 1: kids and settle. Down i'm, like six threes is. Minimum,
- 42:06Speaker 1: Like so What i'm saying is be clear on your, standards, Right,
- 42:09Speaker 1: Okay you got to know your standards from the physical
- 42:12Speaker 1: things the emotional, things like think about all like the
- 42:15Speaker 1: things you really, want like how do you want to travel?
- 42:18Speaker 1: Together what do you want your home life to?
- 42:20Speaker 3: Be?
- 42:20Speaker 1: Like how do you want to feel at the end
- 42:21Speaker 1: of the day when you're in bed with. Them, like
- 42:23Speaker 1: the most potent manifestation isn't just the mental. STUFF i
- 42:28Speaker 1: love the mental stuff because it helps you get, clear
- 42:30Speaker 1: but it's how you feel when you think about the, thing, right,
- 42:33Speaker 1: Yeah so think about that feeling of how you're going
- 42:36Speaker 1: to feel in bed with them at the end of the,
- 42:37Speaker 1: night or having dinner with, them or co parenting with
- 42:41Speaker 1: them or. Whatever LIKE i.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Want to feel.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Feminine that's why it's like a gun, energy have big
- 42:48Speaker 3: dick energy all day long. Time when you get, HOME
- 42:52Speaker 3: i want to melt and just be a little, baby right, yeah.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Perfect so the manifestation home and of that would be
- 43:00Speaker 3: feeling that, now envisioning that, now holding that energy, now
- 43:04Speaker 3: but like as a, practice okay you, know, yeah believing
- 43:08Speaker 3: that you can have, it knowing that it's yours would
- 43:10Speaker 3: be the energy of like the manifestation for.
- 43:12Speaker 1: That and then then this was a big one for.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Me you might not have. THIS i had to look
- 43:18Speaker 1: at before Like eddie could come into my, life and
- 43:21Speaker 1: like the relationship, STICK i had to look at HOW
- 43:24Speaker 1: i was kind of fucked up with, relationships very fucked.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Up it was really annoying to look at so that
- 43:31Speaker 1: these were the things THAT i had to work on
- 43:32Speaker 1: in it It i'm so THANKFUL i did HOW i
- 43:35Speaker 1: expected men to like validate. Me, now of course your
- 43:39Speaker 1: man should compliment and praise and think you're the best
- 43:42Speaker 1: thing on, Earth but it was LIKE i was. TRYING
- 43:44Speaker 1: i was like it was a needy, energy LIKE i
- 43:46Speaker 1: need you to validate, me like it's your.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Job.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Okay WHEN i identified that and, MYSELF i was, like,
- 43:52Speaker 1: WAIT i expect a man to do that for. Me
- 43:54Speaker 1: shouldn't that be like SOMETHING i do for. Myself shouldn't
- 43:57Speaker 1: that be between me And? God and just like my
- 43:59Speaker 1: like confidence and like WHO i? Am so that was
- 44:02Speaker 1: like kind of a toxic. BEHAVIOR i to look at. That,
- 44:05Speaker 1: OH i had abandonment issues that was really run. Deep
- 44:10Speaker 1: that was fucking me. Up SO i was noticing like on,
- 44:12Speaker 1: dates even IF i didn't like the, GUY i would
- 44:15Speaker 1: be worried that they didn't like. Me i'd be worried
- 44:18Speaker 1: that they wouldn't call me. BACK i felt like every
- 44:21Speaker 1: guy went out with needed to be chasing me, down
- 44:24Speaker 1: knocking down the, door trying to marry, me or it
- 44:27Speaker 1: was like it was, affecting like my senses is self
- 44:30Speaker 1: worth on my. Date SO i was LIKE i had
- 44:32Speaker 1: to look at. That so if this applies to anyone,
- 44:35Speaker 1: listening like the WAY i really like healed that WAS
- 44:40Speaker 1: I it was like a really beautiful. Season, HONESTLY i
- 44:43Speaker 1: got a lot better at taking care of me and
- 44:46Speaker 1: loving on me and being really close and connected to
- 44:50Speaker 1: myself and like holding myself energetically and, emotionally if that makes.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Sense like you, know like you'll go through something and you're,
- 44:57Speaker 1: crying and like you want to go to a like
- 44:59Speaker 1: you want to go to a man and have them
- 45:01Speaker 1: cuddle you and tell. EVERYTHING i would like go to.
- 45:03Speaker 1: MYSELF i have like memories of like hugging myself and
- 45:06Speaker 1: being Like, Amanda i've got. You so there was like
- 45:10Speaker 1: some hilling inside of. Me, okay that made it to
- 45:12Speaker 1: where When eddie AND i so we we. Met we
