  Genesis chapter one, let us pray our Father who is in heaven,

  thank you God for life and life abundant.

  Thank you God, that you've given us your word.

  Thank you Father, that we can be known by you and know you and
• 0:19
  come and study you God. We thank you Lord for your
• 0:23
  scriptures. We thank you for the ministry,
• 0:27
  God of prayer and reconciliation.
• 0:29
  God. We thank you that our hearts,
• 0:32
  Lord, can beat for you, Father, and that we can breathe, God,
• 0:37
  your breath. We thank you, Father, that we
• 0:40
  are your masterpiece made in your image.
• 0:42
  We thank you, God, that you have given us purpose and meaning and
• 0:46
  dignity. We thank you, God, that you've
• 0:49
  drawn near to us, Lord, as we draw near to you, Lord, I pray
• 0:53
  for your Kingdom to come on this earth just as it is there, just
• 0:56
  as you're planning it out there. Father, bring it to this earth.
• 0:59
  God, we step into your will today, Father, not our own.
• 1:04
  Lord, we pray for your will to be done in our lives and the
• 1:08
  lives all around us. God, help us to step in to the
• 1:11
  ministries that you've called us into.
• 1:13
  Lord, help us not to choose this world over You, Father, help us
• 1:17
  to be zealous for your word. God, I pray for daily bread
• 1:22
  today. Lord, I pray that you'll feed us
• 1:24
  today. God.
• 1:26
  Send the food and the clothing, Lord that we need.
• 1:31
  God, I pray that you will help us, Lord, to see all of this
• 1:35
  world all around us. Lord, as dominion.
• 1:38
  Lord, we take dominion over every step and over every area
• 1:43
  and arena that you've called us into.
• 1:45
  Lord, I pray that you'll keep us from the evil 1.
• 1:49
  Lord, I pray that you will forgive us for all the times
• 1:53
  that we have come up short. God, that we have sinned against
• 1:58
  heaven and against you. And Lord, I pray that we'll
• 2:01
  receive forgiveness as we extend forgiveness.
• 2:04
  God, I pray that we'll not live in the past.
• 2:07
  I pray that we'll not be fearful of the future.
• 2:10
  But God, we will lock eyes with you today.
• 2:13
  We'll put our hand to the plow today.
• 2:16
  God will do the work of an evangelist today.
• 2:19
  Lord, we will make sure that the ministries that you've called us
• 2:23
  into God are the things that we're pouring our time and
• 2:26
  energy and effort into God, our families and our workplaces.
• 2:30
  Lord the sheep. Lord, I pray that you'll protect
• 2:34
  us as you are the Good Shepherd. God, I pray for all the
• 2:37
  sheepdogs out there. Father, I pray that you'll
• 2:40
  supernaturally give them the mind of Christ and tell them
• 2:44
  what to do and when to do it. Father, and when to stay still
• 2:49
  and when to move. Father, when to speak and when
• 2:52
  to be quiet. God, I pray that you'll
• 2:54
  continue, Lord, to fuel us for the journey.
• 2:58
  Help us, God, to finish this race well.
• 3:00
  We love you. Yahweh, we love you.

  Yeshua, we love you. Espiritu Santo, we love you.

  Santo Santo Santo God Almighty, we love you and so it's in your
• 3:12
  holy and precious and powerful name that I pray in Jesus name,

  Amen. Let's start in verse one.
• 3:23
  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
• 3:26
  It's pretty simple stuff there friends.
• 3:28
  God spoke it and it happened. He spoke it all out of his mouth
• 3:35
  and everything was created out of nothing.
• 3:38
  Think about it. God is the only uncreated being,
• 3:43
  and so he is so powerful that as he speaks, all of the universe
• 3:51
  is spoken into existence. And we know that He had created
• 3:56
  the angelic order prior to mankind.
• 4:00
  And so we could see here that as he's speaking all of this into
• 4:04
  existence, we can surmise that this is not the first act of
• 4:09
  God. Verse 2 And the earth was
• 4:12
  without form and void and darkness was upon the face of
• 4:16
  the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
• 4:20
  waters. So we see the Holy Spirit moving
• 4:23
  upon this earth. It was void and without form.
• 4:26
  And God's about to do an amazing act, and he's going to create
• 4:30
  his masterpiece. He's about to create us in his
• 4:36
  own image to have dominion over this earth.
• 4:40
  And this earth will be used as a place for the sanctification of
• 4:46
  all those who will place their faith in him and serve him and
• 4:50
  worship him in spirit and truth. 3 And God said, let there be
• 4:54
  light, and there was light. It's plain and simple.
• 4:57
  God speaks it and there it is, and God is light.
• 5:01
  And we know from the Book of Revelation where we are headed
• 5:04
  in the New Jerusalem, there is no need for the sun because God
• 5:09
  is there. So God's light emanates, and God
• 5:13
  saw the light that it was good, and God divided the light from
• 5:19
  the darkness. So as the earth rotates and the
• 5:23
  sun is fixed, we see that on one side of the earth it does not
• 5:29
  receive the sun as the other side of the earth is receiving
• 5:33
  it. Friends.
• 5:34
  And God makes it shine upon the wicked and the righteous,
• 5:39
  friends, He makes it rain upon the wicked and the righteous.
• 5:43
  God is long-suffering and He loves well, and we could see Him
• 5:48
  fixing all of the things that we take for granted.
• 5:53
  We see Him fix it at this moment, and if we were a couple
• 5:58
  of degrees closer to the sun, we'd all burn up.
• 6:02
  And if we were a couple of degrees further away from the
• 6:06
  sun, we would freeze to death. And God is so powerful that He
• 6:10
  knew exactly where to place the earth in relation to the sun so
• 6:16
  that we could have the life that we have and we could be
• 6:20
  nourished on all of the things of the earth.
• 6:23
  And we would drink the water that would hydrate our bodies.
• 6:27
  And God is so incredibly good that he knows what he's doing.
• 6:31
  And we get out of our own understanding, we get out of our
• 6:34
  own way, we get out of our own intellect.
• 6:36
  And we take these words by faith and we say yes and Amen as God's
• 6:41
  pinning them down. And there's so much more to the
• 6:44
  story that God chose to leave out.
• 6:47
  And it is for us to walk in faith and not by sight.
• 6:53
  And it does not mean that we have to turn our brains off in
• 6:57
  order to come to God. We can approach God from a deep
• 7:01
  intellectual approach, but you need to know that God wants you
• 7:06
  to approach him by faith and believe the things that He has
• 7:10
  written as truth and as law. And they are immovable and
• 7:16
  immutable friends. Five.
• 7:20
  And God called the light day in the darkness He called night,
• 7:23
  and the evening and the morning were the first day.
• 7:26
  So we can see here that God is marking out time, and He is
• 7:32
  making everything very good. Six.
• 7:36
  And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the
• 7:39
  waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
• 7:44
  So we know that there is waters below us in the seas and in the
• 7:49
  river, and then there is also the waters above us, which come
• 7:54
  in the form of clouds. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided
• 7:59
  the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which
• 8:03
  were above the firmament, and it was so.
• 8:06
  This is the sky, friends. The firmament is nothing more
• 8:11
  than the sky, and we don't need to try to attach some kind of
• 8:15
  mystical connotation to firmament.
• 8:18
  It is nothing more than the atmosphere that we enjoy above
• 8:22
  us that keeps us from all of the pollution that's in the earth.
• 8:30
  A and God called the firmament heaven and the and the evening
• 8:34
  and the morning were the second day.
• 8:35
  So we know that when he says heaven, there are three
• 8:40
  different applications. There's the sky above us, there
• 8:43
  are the planets above the sky, and then there's God's dwelling
• 8:47
  place, heaven the 3rd Heaven 9 And God said, let the waters
• 8:55
  under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let
• 8:59
  the dry land appear. And it was so.
• 9:01
  So we know that the sea covered all of the earth, and then God
• 9:07
  made the earth come up out of the sea. 10 And God called the
• 9:14
  dry land earth, and the gathering together of the waters
• 9:18
  called he seas. And God saw that it was good.
• 9:22
  So here he is creating the continents.
• 9:25
  He's creating all of the habitable world, and it is
• 9:30
  marked out by the distinction of the ocean and how far the ocean
• 9:36
  can go. And he says that it is all good.
• 9:39
  11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb
• 9:43
  yielding seed in the fruit tree, yielding fruit after his kind,
• 9:48
  whose seed is in itself upon the earth.
• 9:50
  And it was so look at how God is so incredible that he can create
• 9:56
  the things already mature. He did not create them as a
• 10:01
  little seed that grew into a bud and grew into a mature plant.
• 10:09
  Friends, he put it here on this earth and it already had the
• 10:13
  design to recreate and reproduce itself.
• 10:18
  What an amazing God we serve. 12 And the earth brought forth
• 10:24
  grass and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree
• 10:29
  yielding fruit whose seed was in itself after his kind.
• 10:33
  And God saw that it was good. So here you can see that
• 10:37
  everything is good that God creates.
• 10:39
  It is US who distorts God's creation.
• 10:43
  It is US who disrupts God's creation.
• 10:47
  We are the ones who profane a good creation.
• 10:51
  Friends 13 in the evening in the morning were the third day.
• 10:56
  So we see God marking out these days as he goes along. 14 And
• 11:03
  God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to
• 11:07
  divide the day and the night, and let them be for signs and
• 11:11
  seasons and for days and years. So God put all of the things in
• 11:16
  the sky for a sign for us, so that we will be able to mark
• 11:21
  down time and seasons and months and years, and He could speak to
• 11:27
  us through the signs. But we need to reject all of the
• 11:31
  Zodiac astrology that is Pagan in its practice. 15 and let them
• 11:42
  be for lights in the firmament of the heaven, to give light
• 11:45
  upon the earth. And it was so.
• 11:47
  So the sun gives light during the day, in the moon gives its
• 11:51
  light during the evening. 16 And God made 2 great lights, the
• 11:56
  greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the
• 11:59
  night. And he made the stars also.
• 12:03
  You know, he told Abraham that he was going to give him more
• 12:07
  descendants than there are stars in the sky.
• 12:10
  And so you can only imagine, friends, all of the universe,
• 12:16
  all of the known studyable universe that we can see through
• 12:22
  our telescopes, and that is the vastness of God.
• 12:29
  And he would choose, out of all of the things that are in the
• 12:35
  universe, to turn his attention towards one planet.
• 12:41
  And then he would take that one planet, friends, and create his
• 12:45
  masterpiece, which is what this entire chapter is all about.
• 12:50
  It's pointing to mankind and the dominion that He has given us.
• 12:57
  And it's pointing towards the creative act of God and how He
• 13:04
  gives us His most wonderful, highest and loftiest creative
• 13:12
  act. And He breathes His own breath
• 13:14
  into US and He makes us in His image, which is the purpose of
• 13:22
  creating the earth habitable for us to live on.
• 13:26
  And He did it so that He could get the most amount of glory,
• 13:31
  friends, when we choose Him, when we choose to obey Him.
• 13:36
  And that is the purpose of this entire book. 19.
• 13:47
  In the evening and the morning were the 4th day, so we can see
• 13:53
  God marking out these days for US. 20 And God said, Let the
• 13:59
  waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has
• 14:03
  life, the fowl that may fly above the earth in the open
• 14:07
  firmament of heaven. So God's created all of the
• 14:10
  domains, and now he's going to fill them with all of their
• 14:15
  respective creatures to inhabit this earth. 21 And God created
• 14:25
  great whales and every living creature that moves, which the
• 14:28
  waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every wing
• 14:32
  foul after his kind. And God saw that it was good.
• 14:36
  You know, friends, when we're talking about kinds, we can have
• 14:39
  adaptations of a kind, but you never see one kind becoming
• 14:45
  another kind. This theory of evolution and The
• 14:49
  Big Bang theory, friends, it takes an immense amount of faith
• 14:53
  to believe in and we choose to use our faith to believe in a
• 15:03
  creative God, the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and
• 15:09
  Jacob, the God of the Jews who spoke everything into existence.
• 15:14
  We turn our faith towards the beautiful story that he is
• 15:22
  giving us here in the creation account in Genesis One.
• 15:26
  That is the faith that we activate to believe every
• 15:30
  syllable just the way that it is said.
• 15:34
  And there are many in the scientific community who
• 15:37
  ridicule and jeer. There are many who believe that
• 15:42
  it takes ignorance to believe in this, friends, but there are too
• 15:48
  many inconsistencies with their theories, There are too many
• 15:54
  gaps in their theories for it to be reliable.
• 16:01
  So either way you look at it, you must approach either be
• 16:06
  being someone who believes in the word of God or being someone
• 16:10
  who is an atheist, agnostic, somebody who believes in
• 16:14
  evolution. It takes an immense amount of
• 16:16
  faith, friends. So choose you whom you will
• 16:21
  serve. But As for me, in my house we
• 16:24
  will serve the Lord friends. 22 and God bless them, saying, Be
• 16:30
  fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let
• 16:34
  the fowl multiply in the earth. 23 in the evening, and the
• 16:39
  morning were the 5th day. So you can see here that God is
• 16:44
  marking out as He goes along. Every time that the earth makes
• 16:51
  its rotation and the sun shines upon the earth, on one side of
• 16:59
  the earth, He calls it a day. So that is how God is creating
• 17:04
  things, and He's creating them as the world is spinning and
• 17:08
  He's speaking it all into existence.
• 17:11
  This is not some millions and billions of years of time in
• 17:18
  between. God speaks it and it happens.
• 17:21
  It materializes on the earth. 24 And God said, let the earth
• 17:28
  bring forth the living creature of his kind, cattle, creeping
• 17:33
  thing, and beast of the earth after his kind.
• 17:36
  And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth after
• 17:40
  his kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that
• 17:44
  creeps upon the earth after his kind.
• 17:46
  And God saw that it was good. You see that it is good, and it
• 17:50
  is good, and it is good, and everything that God does is
• 17:55
  perfect and good. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our
• 18:02
  image after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the
• 18:08
  fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, and
• 18:12
  over the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon
• 18:16
  the earth. This is the hinge point of
• 18:20
  Genesis chapter one. We could get all hung up on the
• 18:24
  time frame of all the creative orders and we can get all hung
• 18:28
  up on if they are literal 24 hour times.
• 18:32
  Or is there a gap between Genesis 1 and Genesis verse 2?
• 18:36
  And you can see here that really the entire point of the entire
• 18:43
  chapter is to get us to this verse where we can see that we
• 18:49
  actually have a special place in God's eyes and in his mind and
• 18:54
  in his heart. We are made in his image,
• 18:56
  friends. And you see the Trinity at play
• 18:59
  here. We've already seen that God is
• 19:02
  creating. We've already seen the Spirit of
• 19:04
  God hovering on the earth. And then you can see here this
• 19:08
  is the reference to being made in His image in their likeness.
• 19:14
  Friends, He says let us who is us, that is God the Father and
• 19:18
  God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, three in one.
• 19:22
  Let us make man in our image. So we're made in the triune
• 19:28
  image of God Almighty. You are body and you are soul
• 19:31
  and you are spirit. You house 3 entities inside of
• 19:35
  you. Friend.
• 19:36
  What an amazing thought. And he says that we are to have
• 19:41
  dominion over this earth. We are not to squander our
• 19:45
  inheritance for a mess of pottage, friends.
• 19:48
  And that is what happened when Adam chose wilfully to disobey
• 19:54
  God and to listen to Eve and to eat of the tree. 27 So God
• 20:02
  created man in his own image, in the image of God, he created
• 20:07
  him, male and female. He created them.
• 20:10
  So you can see here there is not a third gender, there is not
• 20:15
  multiple genders. There are only the male and the
• 20:18
  female. And the male is far superior in
• 20:23
  being a male, and the female is far superior at being female.
• 20:28
  And when we blur the lines, and when a man acts like a woman, he
• 20:33
  is inferior. And if a woman tries to act like
• 20:36
  a man, she is inferior, friends. And that is the plain truth of
• 20:41
  what God is saying here. 28 And God bless them.
• 20:51
  And God said to them, be fruitful and multiply and
• 20:54
  replenish the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the
• 20:58
  fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over every
• 21:02
  living thing that moves upon the earth.
• 21:06
  So here you can see the mandate of why God created man and
• 21:10
  woman. It was to be fruitful and
• 21:12
  multiply. Friends, what an amazing thought
• 21:15
  that God wants us to procreate. God wants us to fill the earth.
• 21:20
  God wants us to actually have marriage and family friends.
• 21:26
  He delights in it. When we are to subdue the earth
• 21:35
  and all the things that come up against us, we are to actually
• 21:40
  take dominion, friends, that he has given to US. 29 And God
• 21:44
  said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which
• 21:49
  is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which
• 21:52
  is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, and to you it shall be for
• 21:57
  me. So this is the reality that Adam
• 22:03
  and Eve were created to eat from the plants of the earth.
• 22:08
  There was no killing at this time.
• 22:11
  He, man was not hunting for his food.
• 22:15
  He was not going out and killing an animal to survive. 30 Into
• 22:24
  every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to
• 22:28
  everything that creeps upon the earth wherein there is life, I
• 22:32
  have given every green herb for meat.
• 22:35
  And it was so. So even the animals themselves
• 22:39
  were herbivores. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and
• 22:46
  behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning
• 22:52
  were the 6th day. What an amazing God we serve
• 22:56
  that He could accomplish all of this in six days just by
• 23:00
  speaking it and it materializing and even all of the fabric of
• 23:07
  all of life and the reverberations of everything
• 23:11
  going on all around us. The matter that is happening
• 23:15
  even at the atom level, at the molecular level is the voice of
• 23:20
  God. What an amazing thought.
• 23:23
  Friends, I hope you've been blessed by this creation account
• 23:29
  here in Genesis 1. I know I sure have.
• 23:34
  There's so much more to the story, but God decided to keep
• 23:39
  it simple and we could err tragically by trying to read too
• 23:48
  much into the text. We understand it literally in
• 23:56
  the literary construct that it was given to us.

  We take it all by faith that God told us everything that we need
• 24:05
  to know. There's nothing that He left out
• 24:08
  that we need to go and find out. It is exactly the way that it is
• 24:13
  pinned down here. Stay prayed up today.

  Stay rooted and grounded in God's Word.

  Nothing extra biblical. It's His Word and His Word alone
• 24:31
  that will bring us home. I'm praying for you.
