- 1:01Man, the cowboy and I,
- 1:04we're going off about thoughts,
- 1:08things right before we went on the air,
- 1:09and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:10We are wasting way too much good content.
- 1:15We should probably do this live.
- 1:19Isn't it sad that we're in a place
- 1:21in our life and doing this show every
- 1:23day that like, well,
- 1:25we have to stop our conversation because
- 1:26it's better if we put that on air.
- 1:28Yeah,
- 1:28we should probably stop talking about this
- 1:30to just us and let everybody else in.
- 1:39It looks like, yeah,
- 1:40we got a little lady chat going on
- 1:42today.
- 1:42We got Trent Olive.
- 1:44We got Meredith.
- 1:45We got Jody, Vicky, Meg, Judy.
- 1:50Judy's off for the summer.
- 1:52She gets to hang out with us.
- 1:53Judy's awesome.
- 1:56Meg is dragged to another crazy-ass movie.
- 1:59And Daniel.
- 2:00Daniel.
- 2:01Daniel heard it was ladies' night.
- 2:02He showed up.
- 2:03Hey, look.
- 2:04I mean, he's seen my...
- 2:06Ortega, we don't speak Spanish.
- 2:07You knew Ortega would be here when he
- 2:09heard it was ladies night.
- 2:12Coming in, look.
- 2:13He's tightening up his mustache before he
- 2:14walks in the door.
- 2:15You ladies know I'm here.
- 2:17He came in to run and he was
- 2:18testing out that Achilles.
- 2:19Poor bastard.
- 2:25Meg, what movie are you bringing him to?
- 2:26I'm sorry.
- 2:27I need to know what that is because
- 2:29she said another crazy-ass movie.
- 2:30So...
- 2:32you super curious because i don't think
- 2:33there's a whole lot of crazy ass movies
- 2:35going on at the theater right now i
- 2:40know like the michael jackson movies at
- 2:42the theater right now and i know that
- 2:44because one of the physical therapy
- 2:46assistants at my physical therapist has
- 2:48seen it five times i like michael jackson
- 2:56i want to see the michael jackson movie
- 2:58don't know if i'm going to watch it
- 2:59five times i like i like michael jackson
- 3:05i like when his music comes on man
- 3:07makes my whole family happy sure right
- 3:11there's been so much michael the guy's
- 3:13been dead for twenty years right like but
- 3:17there's been so much content like i i
- 3:21just am not that jazzed about it no
- 3:28Jennifer went and saw it with one of
- 3:29her girlfriends.
- 3:30She said it was great.
- 3:33She enjoyed it and whatnot,
- 3:34and that's cool.
- 3:35I'm going to wait until it comes out
- 3:36on Prime or whatever streaming service
- 3:38that it comes out on.
- 3:39However, Jameson wants to see it,
- 3:41my eight-year-old.
- 3:44She's searching for it or whatnot,
- 3:46and you can pre-order it on Prime.
- 3:48There's also five other Michael Jackson
- 3:52related movies, documentaries, whatever,
- 3:53already on Prime.
- 3:56That seems like it's a bit much.
- 3:59Yeah.
- 4:00And now Netflix has a new documentary that
- 4:02came out like this week.
- 4:04Yeah.
- 4:05Yesterday, I want to say.
- 4:06Yeah.
- 4:07Which is bananas crazy.
- 4:11So Meg is going to see Back Rooms.
- 4:12That sounds like one of those horror jump
- 4:16scare movie things.
- 4:17Went to Obsession yesterday.
- 4:18All I have to say is WTF did
- 4:21I just watch on that one?
- 4:22No idea.
- 4:23Yeah.
- 4:26um uh you know what makes me jazzy
- 4:31though thirdsy because when i get a good
- 4:36night's sleep i am extra jazzy i think
- 4:40vicky could write our segways like we
- 4:42won't even have to ask her and you
- 4:44can be jazzy too and get fifteen percent
- 4:46off by using jazzy at checkout
- 4:50or going to thirdsy.com backslash jazzy to
- 4:52get fifteen percent off the best sleep
- 4:56enhancing supplement on the market number
- 5:00one not even close by far yeah i
- 5:06man i slept like a rock last night
- 5:07i actually slept really good last night
- 5:09myself which is outstanding
- 5:19Michael's estate must need money for his
- 5:21kids.
- 5:23I think he's made more money since he's
- 5:27been dead than he ever did when he
- 5:29was alive.
- 5:29I know Elvis has,
- 5:31and I would expect the same type thing
- 5:32for Elvis's estate has.
- 5:35Elvis for sure.
- 5:37Yeah.
- 5:38Elvis for sure.
- 5:40Michael,
- 5:41the guy owned half the Beatles catalog
- 5:44while he was alive.
- 5:45Right.
- 5:45Yeah.
- 5:46That alone was bringing in millions upon
- 5:50millions upon millions.
- 5:55Yeah.
- 6:02Uh, holy shoot.
- 6:03Boy, George is a live guest today.
- 6:06Savon.
- 6:09Simone said I need to wear a cowboy
- 6:11hat or something because my asymmetrical
- 6:14haircut reminded him of Boy George,
- 6:17but my voice does not match Boy George.
- 6:21It does not.
- 6:23I said the same thing.
- 6:26Same thing.
- 6:27You are kind of a karma chameleon.
- 6:29Yeah, I'm one hundred percent a karma,
- 6:31karma, karma, karma, karma chameleon.
- 6:35So I love Savannah dance,
- 6:37but he has got some of the weirdest
- 6:39fucking hot takes on the planet.
- 6:44So speaking of hot takes,
- 6:46you told me you got a tramp stamp
- 6:47at the age of nineteen on my back,
- 6:50upper back, not lower back.
- 6:52Oh, it was on my lower back.
- 6:54Well, honestly,
- 6:55I'm shirtless enough where everybody would
- 6:57have seen it if it was on my
- 6:58lower back.
- 6:59But it's on my upper on my left
- 7:00shoulder.
- 7:01Yeah.
- 7:06uh you could wear a pink camo hat
- 7:08and fit the bill and uh i don't
- 7:12uh savannah trying to involve you all in
- 7:14the beef no he's not not no beef
- 7:20I have beef,
- 7:20but it ain't with nobody they're all
- 7:22beefing with.
- 7:24I got beef in my refrigerator at home.
- 7:27Ninety-three percent lean.
- 7:29It's in my belly.
- 7:30Yeah.
- 7:31I had some in my belly last night.
- 7:35Take a tortilla.
- 7:37Put your little barbecue sauce on it.
- 7:39Put your meat.
- 7:41Put your vegetables.
- 7:42Throw a little cheese.
- 7:43Toss that bitch in the oven.
- 7:45Make you a little tortilla pizza.
- 7:47Bruh.
- 7:48That was my dinner last night.
- 7:50Jam up.
- 7:53You talk a big game about this cooking
- 7:55ability you have.
- 7:57I've never seen a dinner delivered to my
- 8:01table, to a competition, anything.
- 8:05So I'm not going to believe it until
- 8:07I see it.
- 8:07I tell you what.
- 8:10Well,
- 8:10I can't tell you what because you ain't
- 8:11coming to Monster Games.
- 8:12You ain't going to be in there.
- 8:15Cause I'm probably gonna end up cooking at
- 8:16monster games.
- 8:16Cause I'm not spending money on, uh,
- 8:20on takeout meals,
- 8:21especially if I'm staying somewhere where
- 8:22I can cook.
- 8:25So, so anyway, you,
- 8:30you got a not so tramp stamp on
- 8:33your back, but the funny part,
- 8:36please tell the, the,
- 8:37the audience what it is of,
- 8:39but what you're not sure.
- 8:40First, first, first tattoo ever.
- 8:43Right.
- 8:45Uh, huge, huge, huge music fan.
- 8:48I don't do anything in my life really
- 8:51without having some sort of beat going on
- 8:52in my head.
- 8:54Um, and at nine, I wanted a tattoo.
- 8:57I didn't really know what I wanted.
- 8:58So you go in there and you go
- 8:59read to the tattoo book, right?
- 9:01With all the pictures and whatnot in it.
- 9:02And I was like, here we go.
- 9:06Chinese symbol for music.
- 9:09And it's right here on my back shoulder.
- 9:11My wife was asking me about it the
- 9:12other night.
- 9:12Cause she was like, she's like,
- 9:14what is he, what even is that?
- 9:16Cause she wasn't around back then.
- 9:17And I was like,
- 9:18supposedly the Chinese symbol for music.
- 9:20However,
- 9:20I don't know anybody that reads Chinese.
- 9:24lettering that would be able to take a
- 9:27look at it and tell me exactly what
- 9:28it actually says because there's a girl on
- 9:31instagram i've seen several reels of who
- 9:35take looks at pictures of who actually can
- 9:37read chinese and looks at people of
- 9:39people's script writing and actually reads
- 9:42them and says what it's supposed to say
- 9:44and what it actually says
- 9:46Judy Reid will read it for you.
- 9:47She said it doesn't say music.
- 9:49Judy,
- 9:49I feel like my Chinese is probably better
- 9:51than yours.
- 9:53She says that it says Boy George.
- 9:58Yes, Ken Walters,
- 9:59I am world-class at crawfish boils.
- 10:04Crawfish boils.
- 10:05See, I can't.
- 10:06I'm allergic to shrimp,
- 10:08so I've never even attempted crawfish
- 10:10because it's essentially the same thing,
- 10:13right?
- 10:13No, it's not.
- 10:15It's really not.
- 10:17It's really not.
- 10:18Uh,
- 10:18shrimp have a whole lot of iodine in
- 10:19it, which is probably your problem.
- 10:21Crawfish does not.
- 10:24You gotta come down, dude.
- 10:25I'll pull my, I'll pull myself out.
- 10:28My wife wants to go to New Orleans
- 10:29in the worst way.
- 10:30I pro I need to just, I,
- 10:34we just need to come.
- 10:37Not that hard to do.
- 10:39And then I can taste some of this
- 10:40gumbo you talk about.
- 10:42If y'all come down,
- 10:43I will cook a gumbo and ball some
- 10:44crawfish.
- 10:47Easy day.
- 10:48So that way, if you can't,
- 10:49if you eat the crawfish,
- 10:49if we need to hit you with an
- 10:50EpiPen because of the crawfish,
- 10:52you'll still have some gumbo to bring
- 10:53home.
- 10:55Ken, I'm not allergic to other shellfish.
- 10:56I eat clams, mussels, all that stuff,
- 10:59and I'm fine.
- 11:01And my dad was the same way.
- 11:02It's something like in the male gene of
- 11:05my family that it's just shrimp.
- 11:09Yeah, that's terrible.
- 11:10However, I love shrimp.
- 11:13I do too.
- 11:14And I've tried.
- 11:15I've...
- 11:16my wife probably the worst night of her
- 11:18life i'm like i'm gonna eat shrimp tonight
- 11:21and i had a bottle of benadryl right
- 11:22beside me i've known people that have done
- 11:24that and i i just was slamming both
- 11:27yeah i slept for two days after hey
- 11:33scott what are you doing saturday night
- 11:35i'd love to be able to come but
- 11:36i'll be sleeping off the shrimp i'm eating
- 11:37friday
- 11:42That is fantastic.
- 11:45Amanda, crawfish outrank shrimp.
- 11:47Is that a million?
- 11:49Millions or ten?
- 11:50That's a lot.
- 11:51I would agree, Amanda.
- 11:53I am way better at boiling shrimp.
- 11:56Boiling shrimp is an art form.
- 11:58I would say boiling crawfish is too,
- 12:00but to get them cooked, seasoned properly,
- 12:04and to not stick to the shell,
- 12:06to make them easy to peel, is tricky.
- 12:09it's a whole lot trickier with shrimp than
- 12:11it is with crawfish because with shrimp if
- 12:12you look at them wrong they're cooked
- 12:16right like they go from clear to pink
- 12:18quick fast and in a hurry but you
- 12:20also need to have them seasoned so they
- 12:21taste like something so it's it's a i
- 12:24would say that's an art form crawfish is
- 12:27i mean i have i have a process
- 12:30jacob asks what movements would a workout
- 12:32consist of if it was called gumbo
- 12:35Here's the thing about that, Jacob,
- 12:36is that gumbo traditionally can have all
- 12:40kinds of stuff in it.
- 12:43You can have a seafood gumbo with shrimp
- 12:46and crab meat and whatnot, sausage.
- 12:49You can have a chicken and sausage.
- 12:50You can have a duck gumbo.
- 12:52I've had that before.
- 12:54It's really kind of a hodgepodge of things
- 12:55depending on what you're looking for.
- 12:57If you're going to have a workout called
- 12:59gumbo,
- 12:59it would probably have a hodgepodge of
- 13:00movements.
- 13:06yeah um so he's saying yeah i would
- 13:10say so yeah yeah i it's got to
- 13:14have a sled push in it because crawfish
- 13:16hang out on the bottom they do they
- 13:18also they have to actually so they they
- 13:20move backwards more than they do forward
- 13:22so you have to have that backwards that
- 13:23it's like a slight drag yeah probably toes
- 13:29to bar because you want to open and
- 13:31open and close a little bit you never
- 13:34got grabbed by one it's an experience in
- 13:36and of itself but they don't let go
- 13:38like you have to make them let go
- 13:39so all right i i read this story
- 13:45today i wanted to get your impression on
- 13:46this a detect a police detective was
- 13:50arrested for pulling a gun on a co-worker
- 13:55for heating up fish in the microwave
- 14:01Do you have a pet peeve so bad
- 14:05that you would pull a gun on a
- 14:07coworker?
- 14:15I don't think I, probably not.
- 14:17I'm going to go ahead and just go
- 14:19ahead and throw that out there.
- 14:22Probably not.
- 14:23I've had coworkers in here warm up fish
- 14:25in the microwave and I've walked into the,
- 14:27you know,
- 14:27our little kitchen area and I'm like,
- 14:29what the hell?
- 14:30Cause it does smell funny.
- 14:32but i've never been angry enough to be
- 14:34like did you is that is that is
- 14:37that tuna like that's never been a thing
- 14:40right well i'm just like pulling the gun
- 14:41on somebody because it's tuna that's
- 14:43that's you're having a horrible day i'm
- 14:46probably okay with tuna if it's cod like
- 14:48we we got problems okay
- 14:51caught worse i have no like a white
- 14:53fish is gonna smell way worse oh yeah
- 14:56no in the microwave yeah that's a problem
- 14:59yeah catfish we got big time problems
- 15:01that's gonna be a problem but it's
- 15:02probably still not bad enough to where i'm
- 15:04gonna be i'm gonna pull out the full
- 15:06five and be like look bro we ain't
- 15:08doing that no more uh makes this good
- 15:10thing i can't have weapons where i work
- 15:13Probably a good thing that Meg can't have
- 15:14weapons, period.
- 15:16Be completely honest with you.
- 15:17She has got some serious anger issues she
- 15:18needs to work through.
- 15:20She's going to text me a little bit
- 15:21and tell me how much she hates me.
- 15:22It's fine.
- 15:24So burnt popcorn is probably higher on my
- 15:29pissed off ranking than fish?
- 15:32Because burnt popcorn lingers.
- 15:34Burnt popcorn will smell for three days.
- 15:36Well, so does the fish, but...
- 15:39Not quite as bad as a burnt popcorn.
- 15:41No.
- 15:41And if it's like burnt, burnt, where it's,
- 15:44you know, it's as black as night.
- 15:46Yeah, dude, that's hard to get rid of.
- 15:48I worked with someone who preferred to eat
- 15:50their popcorn burnt.
- 15:53So you worked with a serial killer.
- 15:54We almost went, came to blows.
- 15:57So you work with a serial killer.
- 16:00This was a while ago.
- 16:01Yeah.
- 16:01This is when I worked at the place
- 16:03where the FBI raided the building and took
- 16:05all the evidence.
- 16:06And they probably were coming for that
- 16:07dude because nobody likes to eat burnt
- 16:09popcorn.
- 16:11That's terrible.
- 16:14Burnt popcorn smells like burnt flesh.
- 16:17It's absolutely terrible.
- 16:20And microwaved burnt popcorn tastes,
- 16:23I mean,
- 16:23smells worse than if you have an actual
- 16:26fire.
- 16:27Yes, a hundred percent.
- 16:28If you have an actual,
- 16:29my dad used to have this popcorn maker.
- 16:33So it was like just a,
- 16:34basically like a hot plate,
- 16:35but it had a little spinning arm on
- 16:38the, on, on the middle of it,
- 16:39put a little bit of oil down and
- 16:40put it up big plastic thing on top.
- 16:43That thing was amazing.
- 16:44And if some of those got burnt,
- 16:45it wasn't that big a deal.
- 16:47but microwave popcorn i think it's because
- 16:48it's in that bag probably is what makes
- 16:52it worse but that is that's terrible like
- 16:54you can't eat you can't eat any of
- 16:56it if some of it gets burnt you
- 16:58just don't throw the whole bag away
- 16:59because that's all you're gonna taste
- 17:00that's all i'm gonna taste for damn sure
- 17:03no thank you um the other thing that
- 17:08happened at the same place i worked at
- 17:11There was a person that liked their butter
- 17:14on their toast to melt or bagel or
- 17:16whatever.
- 17:17Sure.
- 17:17So they would pre-butter and then put it
- 17:20in the toaster.
- 17:21What?
- 17:24And it actually set the toaster on fire
- 17:26one day.
- 17:27Yeah.
- 17:28Yeah, I can believe that.
- 17:29That's not that hard to believe.
- 17:30Who are these people?
- 17:33Again, I am not shitting you.
- 17:37The place I used to work at was
- 17:39raided by the FBI.
- 17:41were you the only like mentally stable
- 17:44person in the entire place?
- 17:45What did they look to you to make
- 17:47solid decisions?
- 17:48They're like, Scott, should we do this?
- 17:51And you were like, no.
- 17:52And they're like, all right, Scott said,
- 17:53no, that's probably not.
- 17:54It's probably not a good idea.
- 17:56Cause I feel like that's where,
- 17:57that's where you're at.
- 17:57Right.
- 18:03Who are these people?
- 18:04Exactly.
- 18:05Like,
- 18:07I don't talk to any of them anymore.
- 18:08Like,
- 18:10were like ten of us going what are
- 18:11these people doing yeah i don't know if
- 18:15they know what butter is but it's fat
- 18:18yeah we actually had the fire department
- 18:19show up because a toaster caught on fire
- 18:21because someone pre-buttered their
- 18:24freaking bread i'm gonna save some time
- 18:28right here i'm gonna put this with first
- 18:30of all unless if if your butter is
- 18:32soft enough
- 18:34to butter bread before you put it in
- 18:36the toaster you don't need to butter it
- 18:38before you put it in a toaster you
- 18:40catch it when it comes out and it'll
- 18:41melt right there into the bread i don't
- 18:43know if anybody had figured that out yet
- 18:45or not but cooking tips with corey let's
- 18:49go ahead and throw that out there right
- 18:50now if your butter is soft enough to
- 18:52butter just regular bread you do not need
- 18:56to butter it and then put it in
- 18:58the toaster if you butter toast before the
- 19:01toaster you like dirty ass things
- 19:04I'll tell you what,
- 19:06a person who butters their toast before
- 19:07the toaster is someone who has never
- 19:11cleaned a toaster.
- 19:12Correct.
- 19:13They're also probably a homicidal.
- 19:19Maybe that's just me.
- 19:20I don't know.
- 19:20But I'm just throwing that out there as
- 19:22a for instance.
- 19:24If you find yourself thinking you're
- 19:27saving time, thinking you're being clever,
- 19:30or thinking you're discovering some new
- 19:32and innovative way to do something,
- 19:37this butter on here,
- 19:38and then throw it in a toaster,
- 19:39you need psychiatric help.
- 19:41Period.
- 19:44Like Ortega just said,
- 19:45that person is probably on a list
- 19:46somewhere.
- 19:50Yes.
- 19:51Yes.
- 19:51A hundred percent.
- 19:52That person is probably why they...
- 19:54That's part of, at the very least,
- 19:55why the FBI raided the building.
- 19:57Yeah, exactly.
- 20:03I mean, have you ever...
- 20:05Okay.
- 20:06I mean,
- 20:06I've seen a lot of stupid things in
- 20:07my day.
- 20:10Have you ever seen anything that dumb?
- 20:12I've never even heard anything that dumb.
- 20:15Now you have.
- 20:18They also wipe before they poop.
- 20:21Like,
- 20:21can you imagine the conversation going
- 20:23home?
- 20:24How was work today?
- 20:25Well, the toaster caught on fire.
- 20:28but damn, the toaster caught on fire.
- 20:29Was it that dirty?
- 20:30Was there that many crumbs in it that
- 20:32somebody, and it just, you know,
- 20:34there was a little smolder coming out of
- 20:35it.
- 20:35No, no,
- 20:36it caught on fire because somebody
- 20:38buttered bread, put it in there.
- 20:39The butter then melted onto the coils,
- 20:41which caused the spark.
- 20:42And then the whole thing caught on fire.
- 20:45I'm sorry.
- 20:45I need you to say all of that
- 20:46again.
- 20:51Well speak.
- 20:52So this just reminds me of what,
- 20:54something I actually actually occurred at
- 20:55my office today.
- 20:57Hmm.
- 20:58So we are doing trainings every Tuesday
- 21:00and Thursday morning for this group of
- 21:02people.
- 21:04And there are some that can't attend every
- 21:05training.
- 21:06So they're asking if we can record it
- 21:08and put it someplace for them to get.
- 21:10Sure.
- 21:11So there's a person in our office that's
- 21:13in charge of like downloading that video.
- 21:16And he's supposed to be putting it
- 21:18somewhere.
- 21:20And there's debate over where it should
- 21:21be.
- 21:22And after ten trainings,
- 21:24we still don't know where it should be.
- 21:28And I made the argument that like there
- 21:32are people that didn't even know we were
- 21:33doing the trainings until like episode
- 21:35four.
- 21:37And so now they want to go back
- 21:40and do one through three.
- 21:42Yeah.
- 21:43And the comment was made to me, well,
- 21:45don't number them because then they won't
- 21:47know what they've missed.
- 21:48I'm going to need a second.
- 21:55Okay.
- 21:59Yeah.
- 22:03And the first episode is how to log
- 22:08in to this system.
- 22:12So whether I number it or not,
- 22:14they ain't getting in.
- 22:14They're not getting in.
- 22:17That is fantastic.
- 22:22I want to say I got this from
- 22:23George Carlin way back in the day,
- 22:25but he used to say,
- 22:26never underestimate the power of stupid
- 22:28people in large groups.
- 22:30and i just kind of cut that off
- 22:32at the large groups thing and just never
- 22:34underestimate the power of stupid people
- 22:36because some of the questions that you get
- 22:37are stuff that you run across like that
- 22:39like oh just don't number them that way
- 22:40they won't know what they missed first of
- 22:42all that makes no sense whatsoever none
- 22:45not not at all secondly um if i
- 22:47don't number them and they can't see which
- 22:49one they need to get into then they
- 22:51can't get into the first one which means
- 22:52they can't do anything so i'm gonna need
- 22:57you to back up a little bit
- 22:59Why don't you sit over here and let
- 23:01the adults finish talking about whatever
- 23:03it is that we're talking about.
- 23:05Holy smokes.
- 23:09So, yes,
- 23:10this is your government tax dollars at
- 23:12work here in Ohio.
- 23:13Hard at work.
- 23:15Hard at work.
- 23:16It's probably the same guy that bought the
- 23:17eight hundred dollar hammer and a three
- 23:20thousand dollar toilet seat.
- 23:21Yep.
- 23:22Yeah, absolutely.
- 23:25Scott,
- 23:25you must work at the twin of my
- 23:28place.
- 23:29Jesus.
- 23:32It's bad, man.
- 23:36If I wasn't on the far end of
- 23:39my career getting toward retirement,
- 23:43I would get out.
- 23:45Yeah, absolutely.
- 23:47Yes.
- 23:48Andrew Sten,
- 23:49this is another group of stupid people.
- 23:52I love CrossFit athletes,
- 23:54love watching them do what they do,
- 23:56but put them in a group together at
- 23:58an athlete briefing,
- 23:59and they become about as dumb as dumb
- 24:02can be.
- 24:03dude again magic city games people just
- 24:09coming up with the most insane scenarios
- 24:12they could possibly well what if this and
- 24:15then this happens and then this happens
- 24:17and you could see micah at one point
- 24:19because we're in the second part of the
- 24:21briefing and uh in the bill harris arena
- 24:24like it physically hit him like the
- 24:27question did and you see him go
- 24:30oh yes kate kate knows what i'm talking
- 24:32about because we were all texting about it
- 24:34while people were asking them was it you
- 24:43remember the uh or i'm sure people tell
- 24:44you there's no stupid questions right the
- 24:47only stupid question is you i would like
- 24:49to admit that there's no stupid questions
- 24:51only stupid people
- 24:54Because they will find a way.
- 24:58They will absolutely find a way.
- 24:59Yeah, Kate, look,
- 25:01we had to see ourselves out early.
- 25:05Oh.
- 25:07Yeah.
- 25:07Because it just kept going.
- 25:10And like once we kind of got the
- 25:11gist of what, okay, like nothing,
- 25:14it's nothing crazy.
- 25:15It's pretty much like they described it.
- 25:17All right, cool.
- 25:18People started just leaving.
- 25:20Like, yeah,
- 25:21what happens if my helmet falls off?
- 25:23Somebody asked that for the bike ride.
- 25:25Yep.
- 25:26Because you were required to wear a
- 25:28helmet.
- 25:29Yes.
- 25:29For the bike ride.
- 25:30But what if it falls off?
- 25:31For the burpees,
- 25:32for the first set of burpees in the
- 25:33bike ride,
- 25:34when you came off the bike ride,
- 25:35you took your helmet off,
- 25:36you threw it into a big bin that
- 25:37they had right there by the door.
- 25:40Easy, right?
- 25:41I just explained that to you in three
- 25:43seconds and boom, you got it.
- 25:45Yep.
- 25:45Burpees, bike, off the bike, handed to,
- 25:48you know,
- 25:49there'd be three guys there taking
- 25:50helmets.
- 25:51What happens if my helmet falls off?
- 25:53Your helmet's not going to fall off.
- 25:55If your helmet falls off,
- 25:56you didn't put it on right in the
- 25:57first place.
- 25:59You need to go to that airplane training
- 26:02where you tighten the strap.
- 26:04Yeah, a hundred percent.
- 26:05Pull.
- 26:09Yeah.
- 26:11And it was the kind that had the
- 26:13ratchet thing in the back.
- 26:15So you put it on and the first
- 26:16thing you did was, okay,
- 26:18now it fits good.
- 26:19And chances are better than not,
- 26:21it's not falling off like that.
- 26:22But now you've got the added protection of
- 26:23this nifty chin strap.
- 26:26Yeah, I'm mad to tell you.
- 26:30she left hers on until it was over.
- 26:34were there was there were three dudes
- 26:36there that were pretty fired up by me
- 26:39handing them when i got it off the
- 26:41bike ride you know like they're like it's
- 26:46it's scenarios like this we're like you
- 26:48know darwin had a a pretty good theory
- 26:50he's got he's got a solid point he's
- 26:53got a solid point i've said it for
- 26:55years dude and agreed with some comedian i
- 26:58saw forever ago just take the warning
- 26:59labels off of stuff
- 27:03Let nature just take its course.
- 27:06Yeah,
- 27:06we are the country that has to put
- 27:08this coffee may be hot.
- 27:11Because some woman spilled it in her lap
- 27:14and then was surprised it was hot.
- 27:17Yeah.
- 27:19Let me tell you something.
- 27:20If I buy a coffee from wherever that's
- 27:24not specifically iced coffee and I get it
- 27:28and it's not hot,
- 27:30I'm going to be upset.
- 27:32at least have some questions maybe not
- 27:35upset but i'll at least have a couple
- 27:37questions like hey can we warm this up
- 27:38a little bit more because it's not it's
- 27:41not hot and if i spill it on
- 27:43myself and it burns me i am probably
- 27:47not going to be surprised because it's hot
- 27:53it's like the old jerry seinfeld joke
- 27:55where he said he bought a superman outfit
- 27:58as a kid and the box said this
- 28:00cape will not allow you to fly
- 28:04Absolutely.
- 28:04If you believe it will, maybe it's okay.
- 28:08You go ahead and try.
- 28:09Maybe just give it a shot.
- 28:11Just give it a shot.
- 28:11What's the worst that could happen?
- 28:12You fall down?
- 28:13Come on.
- 28:13Goodness.
- 28:20Yeah.
- 28:21Scott,
- 28:21these bikes had a new feature where you
- 28:22just push a button and the seat drops
- 28:24down.
- 28:25Well, new to me.
- 28:27I ride a road bike.
- 28:28I...
- 28:30These were like hybrid style bikes.
- 28:32So it's basically a mountain bike,
- 28:34but they had closer to road tires on
- 28:37them.
- 28:38But the low post, yeah, like David said,
- 28:41it's a dropper post.
- 28:42So instead of having to do like undo
- 28:45a little thing and then pull it up
- 28:46or whatnot,
- 28:47it just was kind of like activated.
- 28:50It was pretty cool.
- 28:51The best part of your storytelling is the
- 28:53sound effects that go along with the
- 28:55action.
- 28:56That is a genetic trait.
- 28:59If you meet any of my parents,
- 29:01like my mom, my grandpa, well,
- 29:03maybe not grandparents because they've
- 29:05been dead for quite some time,
- 29:06but it's a cool-ass thing.
- 29:09You get the full effect.
- 29:14Bags of flour tell you not to eat
- 29:15it raw.
- 29:16Well, I used to,
- 29:17and then they started calling me Scarface.
- 29:18A hundred percent.
- 29:20Stuff just everywhere.
- 29:24Don't eat this raw.
- 29:25In case you were planning on it,
- 29:26in case you went to the store and
- 29:27you're like, you know what sounds good?
- 29:29A handful of flour.
- 29:30You gonna do something with that?
- 29:34Why?
- 29:35Why would you even?
- 29:39At no point.
- 29:41Let me explain something to you.
- 29:42You could be a refugee from a foreign
- 29:45country.
- 29:49Go to your grocery store for the first
- 29:51time,
- 29:52buy a bag of flour and not eat
- 29:54any of it raw.
- 29:56It's just not a thing.
- 29:57Again, yes, Vicki, who are these people?
- 30:01Because that's on there because somebody
- 30:02did it and then complained.
- 30:04That's the whole reason why we have
- 30:07warning labels to begin with.
- 30:12Anytime something,
- 30:12when I was working construction, dude,
- 30:14especially at the plants and stuff like
- 30:15that,
- 30:15every time somebody did something that
- 30:17nobody had done before and it hurt them,
- 30:19we got a new rule because of that
- 30:22thing.
- 30:23Here's the deal.
- 30:27See,
- 30:27Dave Johnson does bags of sugar that way.
- 30:31Jacob thought it was flour,
- 30:33so it's confusing.
- 30:35They come in the same shape bag.
- 30:39They do.
- 30:39Which, by the way,
- 30:40let's talk about that for a second.
- 30:42Somebody at the flour and the sugar
- 30:44factory were like,
- 30:45what is the worst possible delivery system
- 30:47we could make for our product?
- 30:51Well, they put Quikrete in this bag.
- 30:54Exactly.
- 30:55Have you ever bought a bag of concrete?
- 30:58It's a giant paper bag that's basically
- 31:00glued at the bottom.
- 31:02What if we do that for sugar and
- 31:04flour,
- 31:04but we don't glue it that well all
- 31:06the time?
- 31:07Sometimes it'll be glued good,
- 31:09and it'll be really hard to get into.
- 31:11Sometimes it'll leak on your way home,
- 31:13or sometimes it'll just bust on you in
- 31:14the grocery store.
- 31:15We just make it kind of a crapshoot
- 31:18as to which one's going to happen.
- 31:20Or let's make the glue so good that
- 31:22you have to pull really hard and the
- 31:24bag just rips.
- 31:26Yeah.
- 31:26Next thing you know,
- 31:27you got a Carol Burnett situation on your
- 31:29hand where there's not a flower flying all
- 31:30over the place and whatnot and just all
- 31:32over your face.
- 31:33Nah.
- 31:43Please do not iron clothes while wearing
- 31:45said clothes.
- 31:48I'm in a real big hurry.
- 31:51I need to iron his shirt.
- 31:52I don't have enough time to take it
- 31:53off.
- 31:56What should I do?
- 32:00You know, it's funny, though,
- 32:02because there are times in my life where
- 32:05I'm doing something so stupid.
- 32:08Like, I know what I'm doing is stupid.
- 32:11And there is a fifty-fifty shot that I'm
- 32:14going to get hurt.
- 32:15Absolutely.
- 32:17But I go ahead and try it anyway
- 32:19because it's...
- 32:20It might be a tad bit more convenient
- 32:22than actually doing it the proper way.
- 32:24Yeah.
- 32:26But I am assessing the risk in my
- 32:29head.
- 32:30That's the thing.
- 32:30That's the difference,
- 32:31that you have enough life experience to
- 32:33go, this is probably dumb,
- 32:37but I'm going to do it anyway,
- 32:39but I'm going to try to do it
- 32:40in the least dumb way possible,
- 32:42even though I know it's dumb.
- 32:44Like two weeks ago,
- 32:45I was putting together a Lego set,
- 32:47and I put the wrong piece together.
- 32:50And I couldn't get it to let go,
- 32:52and so I grabbed my pocket knife,
- 32:55and I'm going to try to wiggle it
- 32:57in there to get it out.
- 32:59And I'm like, as I'm doing it,
- 33:00I'm going,
- 33:01there's a good chance you're going to
- 33:03slice your thumb.
- 33:04Correct.
- 33:06And sure shit, I sliced my thumb.
- 33:10Yeah.
- 33:10But I assessed that risk going into it
- 33:13and said,
- 33:14it's worth it if I can get this
- 33:15piece off.
- 33:16Yeah.
- 33:17It'll be a small cut.
- 33:18I own Band-Aids.
- 33:20not a big deal we can move on
- 33:22yeah the little did I know I'd have
- 33:24to clean off Lego bricks from the blood
- 33:27but you know it's kind of many times
- 33:30we clean blood off a Lego bricks you
- 33:32know it's funny you should ask uh it's
- 33:39like doing cow Sue more than once yeah
- 33:43not a good idea
- 33:47Okay,
- 33:47so Hexy Love is talking about she
- 33:48pre-butters her toast,
- 33:49but it's in the toaster oven.
- 33:52Not the same thing.
- 33:55There's a tray.
- 33:56Still kind of weird.
- 33:58It is still kind of weird,
- 33:59but I would accept that because there's a
- 34:01tray.
- 34:03To catch the butter.
- 34:04To catch the butter,
- 34:05and it's not going to fall on the
- 34:07giant freaking flaming coil.
- 34:11Heat element and start a fire.
- 34:15Yeah.
- 34:19oh man in my late teens working at
- 34:21a factory i tried to stop a motor
- 34:23on a machine to work on it i
- 34:25went to grab the belt to slow it
- 34:27down took my hand straight through the
- 34:29motor pulley system oh yeah hundred
- 34:33percent that's that's terrible i will do
- 34:37this that's how you make cinnamon toast
- 34:40yeah see i'm not i'm not mad at
- 34:41that
- 34:43like no you don't you put the toast
- 34:45in the toaster you butter it because the
- 34:47toast is hot and then you sprinkle your
- 34:49cinnamon sugar on it which i've not had
- 34:52cinnamon toast in like thirty years but
- 34:56jameson had some for breakfast yesterday
- 34:58morning my wife literally made toast with
- 35:04butter on it a few days ago in
- 35:05the toaster david we need to have a
- 35:07talk yeah it's intervention time
- 35:13We need you to sit down.
- 35:15David,
- 35:16when your house catches on fire because
- 35:17there's a toaster fire that started in
- 35:20your kitchen, you're going to be like,
- 35:21how could this have happened?
- 35:22And then we're going to go back to
- 35:25this show today and be like,
- 35:26this is how this could have happened.
- 35:34Which games athlete is most and least
- 35:36likely to pre-butter their toast?
- 35:39Least likely, Tudor Magda.
- 35:41Tudor Magda, yeah.
- 35:43I would want to represent.
- 35:45Tudor Magda would engineer a new apparatus
- 35:48to do that for him.
- 35:50He's so smart, dude.
- 35:53It's absolutely insane.
- 35:54I would say also least likely is probably
- 35:56Ty Jenkins probably falls up underneath
- 35:58there simply because if he didn't write it
- 36:00in that little notebook first,
- 36:01it's not happening at all.
- 36:05Who is most likely?
- 36:07Jason Hopper.
- 36:14I was thinking Austin,
- 36:15but then I was like,
- 36:16Austin will just – he just put it
- 36:17on a fork and put it over an
- 36:18open flame.
- 36:19A hundred percent, dude.
- 36:20Austin, yeah.
- 36:21Austin toast fire – toast bread over a
- 36:26campfire.
- 36:26Absolutely.
- 36:28I would promise you Jason Hopper is like,
- 36:32I'm going to save some time to butter
- 36:33this bread first and then throw it in
- 36:34this toaster.
- 36:35And that's why he keeps burning toasters
- 36:37to the ground.
- 36:38Matt Fraser would just get Sammy to do
- 36:40it for him.
- 36:41Here's the thing.
- 36:41He wouldn't even get Sammy to do it.
- 36:42She would just do it.
- 36:45Have you ever seen any of the things
- 36:48where he's talking about going to
- 36:49restaurants and he has no idea what he
- 36:50actually eats and has to look at Sammy
- 36:52and be like, do I like ribeyes?
- 36:54And she'd be like, yeah.
- 36:55He's like, can you order one for me?
- 36:56And she'd be like, yeah.
- 36:59So, Daniel,
- 36:59we're not saying he's the dumbest.
- 37:01No.
- 37:02What we're saying is his risk assessment
- 37:06skills are not as refined as others.
- 37:11Somewhat lacking.
- 37:13Let's put it like that.
- 37:16yes jason is that guy that when you
- 37:19were in college you were like he was
- 37:21the guy going hold my beer i'll try
- 37:23it he's that guy that you you went
- 37:26like how are you still alive i'm not
- 37:28real sure it doesn't really even it
- 37:31doesn't even compute jason born saying
- 37:33ricky mack would um and then joseph's
- 37:37talking about hopper would take a bite out
- 37:38of bread and take a bite out of
- 37:39a stick of butter that's actually what
- 37:40ricky mack would do so
- 37:46I firmly believe that Mr.
- 37:50Ricky Mac right there would, I got toast,
- 37:53I got butter.
- 37:54Bite toast, bite butter.
- 37:55Now I got butter toast.
- 37:56I have no problem believing that
- 37:58whatsoever.
- 38:00Whichever way Hopper does it,
- 38:01he's sure to laugh after he does it.
- 38:04Hopper is the funniest guy Hopper knows.
- 38:08Jason Hopper is Jason Hopper's favorite
- 38:10comedian.
- 38:13end of story like i don't give a
- 38:16damn you can argue with me all you
- 38:17want to argue with a wall i mean
- 38:22they tased hopper at waterpalooza one year
- 38:25again unsurprising because he's probably
- 38:27like i can take it but you say
- 38:30like bite the toast bite the bread or
- 38:33butter
- 38:34that a lot of CrossFitters,
- 38:37when you're in the back during a
- 38:39competition,
- 38:41they will do whatever they can to get
- 38:43the calories in their mouth.
- 38:45And none of it makes sense.
- 38:49Dude, I've eaten...
- 38:52Like literally getting the crumbs out of
- 38:54the bottom of just trying to get some
- 38:56sugar back into my body in between events.
- 39:00Like you do what you got to do
- 39:02sometimes.
- 39:02Yeah, that's a hundred percent of thing.
- 39:05I never would,
- 39:06I don't usually travel with toast and
- 39:08sticks of butter at the same time.
- 39:10Having said that,
- 39:11doesn't mean that I haven't or I won't,
- 39:13excuse me.
- 39:14Kate says,
- 39:15I don't remember when James busted his
- 39:17ankle trying a backflip.
- 39:18I'd say his risk assessment is off.
- 39:21Don't forget, though,
- 39:22James was not alone in trying the
- 39:24backflips.
- 39:26No.
- 39:28He just was the worst at it.
- 39:30Correct.
- 39:33His proportions are all wrong.
- 39:35He's so lanky, dude.
- 39:36I don't think he's capable of actually
- 39:39completing a backflip just because his
- 39:41knees would get in the way.
- 39:42Castro would do it over and over again,
- 39:44then say, because Colton does it,
- 39:46his buttering is valid.
- 39:52I get that.
- 39:53I get that.
- 39:54I get that reference.
- 39:58Well, someone that in the world,
- 40:00I read this thing this morning too,
- 40:01and then we'll, we'll get out of here.
- 40:03But, um, is, is Rob Gronkowski.
- 40:07Like he's the guy that would butter his
- 40:10toast before he puts it in the toaster.
- 40:12He would probably butter his toes before
- 40:13he gets in a toaster,
- 40:15have it come out, take a bite,
- 40:17figure it's not buttery enough,
- 40:18and then take a bite of the butter.
- 40:20That wouldn't surprise me at all.
- 40:23But I read a story that he has
- 40:26not spent a dollar of his NFL money.
- 40:29I read the same thing.
- 40:31I heard it,
- 40:32saw it somewhere that he hadn't spent it.
- 40:34All of his endorsements, blah, blah,
- 40:36whatever,
- 40:37his NFL money is just
- 40:39there he he got a fifty thousand dollar
- 40:43bonus from his agent he lived on that
- 40:48for over a year and then has lived
- 40:53off the marketing money since then and
- 40:58still has not touched his nfl money he's
- 41:00a he's a simple dude
- 41:04And you see all these people getting into
- 41:05the NFL or the NBA or whatever,
- 41:08and they go buy the nicest car,
- 41:10and they buy the big house,
- 41:11and they do the... He had a roommate.
- 41:15Yeah.
- 41:15If you've never watched Broke,
- 41:17the Thirty for Thirty...
- 41:20broke about a while back about that about
- 41:23the nfl players and the nba players who
- 41:25like got these gazillion dollar deals and
- 41:28all of a sudden they got like uh
- 41:30eminem said all of a sudden they got
- 41:31ninety something cousins like just up here
- 41:34at the woodwork and they're too
- 41:35kind-hearted and too you know to tell them
- 41:38hey man no like going about your business
- 41:41i gotta help this one i gotta help
- 41:42that one i gotta help this one i
- 41:43gotta help that one and end up with
- 41:45nothing
- 41:48The NFL implemented a financial literacy
- 41:52literacy course for rookies.
- 41:55Like I forgot when it was in mid
- 41:57nineties sometime,
- 41:58or maybe late nineties because of that,
- 42:00because so many of them were like getting
- 42:02these ridiculous deals and then ain't got
- 42:04no more money.
- 42:06Absolutely insane.
- 42:08Gronk doesn't even open the bag.
- 42:09He butters the bag and goes to town.
- 42:11I would believe that.
- 42:12And then spikes the toaster.
- 42:21There's a famous story about Ricky
- 42:23Henderson hanging his first check on the
- 42:24wall until the team asked him why he
- 42:26hasn't cashed it yet.
- 42:27My grandma calling you,
- 42:29I sent you five dollars for your birthday.
- 42:32I need to balance my checkbook and it
- 42:34hasn't come out yet.
- 42:36Yeah, and then Ricky told that story.
- 42:38Ricky Henderson told that story in the
- 42:39third person because that's how he talked
- 42:41about it.
- 42:41That's how he addressed himself.
- 42:43Ricky got that check.
- 42:44Ricky hung it on the wall.
- 42:45Ricky hung that check on the wall.
- 42:47I just wanted to frame it.
- 42:48I wanted to look at it.
- 42:49Mm-hmm.
- 42:52I do this,
- 42:53that there's some stories about that,
- 42:54dude.
- 42:54Every time, every once in a while,
- 42:56I get a lot of baseball stuff,
- 42:59MLB stuff come across my feet,
- 43:01like reels and stuff.
- 43:03And everyone that when they started,
- 43:04as soon as they started talking about
- 43:05Ricky Henderson,
- 43:06I stopped because it's bound to be
- 43:09something hilarious or something that
- 43:10makes you go, what?
- 43:11Yeah.
- 43:15So Ricky was the first person to perfect
- 43:17that third person.
- 43:19Yeah.
- 43:20Ricky, go.
- 43:26Oh, that is the unfortunate truth,
- 43:28Ken Walters.
- 43:30The NIL money is going to make more
- 43:31young athletes financially broke and
- 43:33living unrealistic instead of setting
- 43:35themselves up for life.
- 43:36Correct.
- 43:39So I got a question for you before
- 43:40we get out, and that is,
- 43:43I'm not close to LSU.
- 43:44I don't know much about it.
- 43:46But they fire people and now apparently
- 43:48Lincoln is hiring them all back.
- 43:50Yeah.
- 43:54Coach O is the special assistant,
- 43:58basically in charge of in-state recruiting
- 44:00and basically a special assistant to the
- 44:03defense.
- 44:04When he got let go,
- 44:06weren't there allegations of malfeasance?
- 44:09Well, about malfeasance,
- 44:12but he ain't married no more.
- 44:15Let's put it that way.
- 44:17Okay.
- 44:18And there were two other former coaches
- 44:21that were brought back.
- 44:23Oh, I missed that.
- 44:24I haven't been keeping up as much as
- 44:25I normally do.
- 44:27Yeah, I read that this morning too.
- 44:29And I was like, what is going on?
- 44:33Coach O is fantastic for the program,
- 44:37whether you know where you see it from
- 44:38the outside or not.
- 44:40He is one of the best recruiters in
- 44:43the nation as far as keeping people talent
- 44:46that's in Louisiana in Louisiana.
- 44:49That's because he speaks their language.
- 44:51Well,
- 44:52he's from here and he gives a shit.
- 44:55And you can tell he's very genuine when
- 44:57he comes across.
- 44:59When you listen to Ed O'Drawn in a
- 45:01press conference and I put you up beside
- 45:03it,
- 45:04you speak the Queen's English compared to
- 45:08Eddie O. A hundred percent.
- 45:09A hundred percent.
- 45:11Yeah.
- 45:13Anyway, but he, he is fantastic.
- 45:16And I'm around here.
- 45:18As soon as he got announced,
- 45:19everybody was doing backflips because, uh,
- 45:23Johnny Jones, Cocho and will Wade.
- 45:25Yeah.
- 45:28The will Wade thing probably is probably
- 45:30honestly out of the,
- 45:32out of all of it,
- 45:33the will way thing is way more
- 45:34controversial in my opinion,
- 45:37because they fired him and then for paying
- 45:41players to, to play.
- 45:44Which is legal now.
- 45:45Which is now legal.
- 45:46And it wasn't that long ago that it
- 45:48happened, right?
- 45:49Like they fired him and then like a
- 45:51year later or two years later,
- 45:52NIL started to become, became a thing.
- 45:55He went to,
- 45:56he's been at two other schools since then
- 45:59and like turned those places into winning
- 46:01programs and whatnot.
- 46:02He's a hell of a coach.
- 46:03Like he actually really is good at what
- 46:04he does.
- 46:06And it was like, oh no,
- 46:07I'm not going back.
- 46:08I'm not going back.
- 46:08I'm not leaving here.
- 46:09I'm not leaving here.
- 46:10And then they hired him and now he's
- 46:11back.
- 46:12And he is currently, he
- 46:15playing fast and loose with the rules as
- 46:18far as like eligibility stuff is
- 46:20concerned,
- 46:20like signing players that were playing in
- 46:22Europe and like,
- 46:24but have like a year of eligibility to
- 46:27be able to play for LSU and whatnot.
- 46:29And he's building a team that is going
- 46:31to be, if it pans out,
- 46:34could possibly be very,
- 46:36very scary for college basketball next
- 46:38year.
- 46:40uh kocho reminds me of the coach from
- 46:42the water boy no no no joseph uh
- 46:45kocho is the defensive coordinator in the
- 46:47water boy just some more makeup former
- 46:52friend yeah yeah and he probably and kocho
- 46:56probably doesn't have nipple rings well
- 46:59those allegations you know well he's
- 47:02believe me he spends enough time uh
- 47:05without his shirt on people would have
- 47:06seen him by now
- 47:09he's freaking huge dude oh i know he
- 47:13works out at uh the anytime fitness that
- 47:16one of my buddies is a manager at
- 47:18and trains trains trains at and like uh
- 47:21aiden will tell you like he's an animal
- 47:24he's an absolute animal um anyway uh they
- 47:31definitely both specifications yeah
- 47:38All right, guys.
- 47:40Well, we talked about zero CrossFit today,
- 47:42and that's why I love this show.
- 47:44That's not true at all.
- 47:46We made up a gumbo workout and we
- 47:49figured out what Jason Hopper.
- 47:50Which CrossFit would butter their bread
- 47:53before they put it in a toaster.
- 47:57Answering all the important questions of
- 47:58the day.
- 47:59I do like how we didn't do a
- 48:02male and female because we know none of
- 48:03the females would be stupid enough to even
- 48:05try that.
- 48:05Yeah.
- 48:08no they're what there's not no not a
- 48:11one all right with that hope you guys
