- 0:03Speaker 1: The problem.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We have a listener named Tyler who wrote to us
- 0:07Speaker 2: because he wants advice.
- 0:08Speaker 3: On whether he is the problem.
- 0:11Speaker 2: And if you have an am I the problem that
- 0:13Speaker 2: you want to submit, you can head to Big nine
- 0:15Speaker 2: eight seven dot com and click the on air tab
- 0:18Speaker 2: and there's a little submission form right there.
- 0:20Speaker 4: And before you get to it, Angie, I will just
- 0:22Speaker 4: say I've known a few Tyler's in my life. Tyler,
- 0:24Speaker 4: whatever this is, it's probably your fault. Oh my god,
- 0:28Speaker 4: I'm just kidding.
- 0:29Speaker 5: I'm just kidding.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Hey, Gab and Angie, welcome to Fargo. Love the show.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I need to know if I'm the problem. I work
- 0:35Speaker 2: in a small office with about ten people. We share
- 0:38Speaker 2: a communal kitchen, including one fridge. Over the past month,
- 0:42Speaker 2: my lunch has been stolen five times, not just random snacks,
- 0:46Speaker 2: entire homemade meals I bring from home gone without a trace.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It's not just frustrating, it's expensive and messes up my day.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I mentioned it a couple of times in the group chat,
- 0:56Speaker 2: like hey, someone's been taking my lunches, please stop.
- 0:59Speaker 3: But no one responded.
- 1:01Speaker 2: So I bought a mini fridge and put it under
- 1:03Speaker 2: my desk, and I also put a little lock on
- 1:05Speaker 2: it for extra piece of mind. Since then, no more
- 1:08Speaker 2: stolen lunches. But last Friday, one of my coworkers said
- 1:12Speaker 2: it was weird and selfish that I had a personal
- 1:16Speaker 2: fridge and everyone in.
- 1:17Speaker 3: The office feels this way.
- 1:19Speaker 2: She said it made me look paranoid and not part
- 1:22Speaker 2: of the team. A couple others have now made comments like,
- 1:25Speaker 2: don't let him see your lunch, he might lock it up,
- 1:28Speaker 2: or we get it your special. Oh my gosh, I'm
- 1:32Speaker 2: starting to feel like the weirdo in the office. Just
- 1:34Speaker 2: for protecting my stuff, am I the problem? I feel
- 1:37Speaker 2: like I'm taking crazy pill.
- 1:39Speaker 4: First off, Tyler, you know exactly who was stealing your lunches.
- 1:42Speaker 4: It was that latey Wow one hundred percent. And also, Tyler,
- 1:47Speaker 4: I think you needed to take this one step further.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I think you needed to set a trap, get yourself
- 1:52Speaker 4: some pepper spray, bear spray, and defend that lunch to.
- 1:55Speaker 2: The Oh my gosh, yawit what a bunch of losers.
- 1:59Speaker 2: You know what makes I don't think you're crazy, Tyler,
- 2:01Speaker 2: You're not the problem. Even if everybody in your office
- 2:04Speaker 2: it's making it seem.
- 2:05Speaker 3: But you know why, I think everyone in the office
- 2:07Speaker 3: is saying something.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It's because I think they were on a rotation and
- 2:10Speaker 2: they were each taking a lunch every single day, and
- 2:15Speaker 2: they're like, dang it, our meal ticket.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Is God Yeah, this is perfectly fine.
- 2:19Speaker 4: What coworker goes, Oh my, are other coworkers getting his
- 2:23Speaker 4: lunch stolen? He's trying to protect his lunch. Now he's
- 2:27Speaker 4: the weirdo. Yeah, that's not insane to me. Tyler, you
- 2:30Speaker 4: work with a bunch of dorks.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Listen, I'm gonna give you some wild advice.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I think you should find a new job.
- 2:37Speaker 5: I think you should play step or.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Like, where's what's HR doing?
- 2:42Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 2:43Speaker 3: Can you report this to HR? Because that's insane?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Call nine Maybe that's too funny.
- 2:51Speaker 2: But Tyler, I feel like you are not the problem here.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I feel like everyone in your office is. But seven
- 2:58Speaker 2: oh one two, eight oh one, nine eight seven. I
- 3:00Speaker 2: gotta know, is there anyone out there in the FM
- 3:03Speaker 2: area who does think Tyler's the problem?
- 3:05Speaker 4: I would take this one step forward. If you think
- 3:08Speaker 4: Tyler's the problem, you are a thief. You steal lunches
- 3:11Speaker 4: at your job. I'm one one hundred percent convinced today
- 3:20Speaker 4: and we did have an email from Tyler wondering if
- 3:23Speaker 4: he was the problem. And it's very interesting about a fridge.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, he works in a small office and they have
- 3:29Speaker 2: one fridge, and his lunch is being stolen every day.
- 3:33Speaker 3: So to combat that, he got his.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Own mini fridge and he put a lock on it
- 3:37Speaker 2: so people would stop taking his lunch. And now everyone
- 3:40Speaker 2: in his office is mad at him, saying that he
- 3:43Speaker 2: is a paranoid, weird and selfish, and they make little
- 3:46Speaker 2: comments like, oh watch out, he'll he's gonna lock up
- 3:49Speaker 2: his lunch.
- 3:51Speaker 5: I don't even know Tyler's coworkers, and I hate all
- 3:53Speaker 5: of them. I hate you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So we asked you seven one to eight on one
- 3:58Speaker 2: nine eighty seven, do you think Tyler is the problem
- 4:03Speaker 2: or are his coworkers You're.
- 4:05Speaker 4: More concerned with a dude trying to protect his own
- 4:09Speaker 4: property than you having a mole, a rat, a thief
- 4:14Speaker 4: amongst you.
- 4:16Speaker 6: We had a.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Listeners.
- 4:19Speaker 5: It's I don't mean that. That's okay.
- 4:22Speaker 3: We had one of our listeners text us, Tyler is
- 4:24Speaker 3: not the problem. Just do what I do.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Bring a lunch box with ice packs and keep it
- 4:29Speaker 2: at your desk. Okay, So while we can, you know,
- 4:32Speaker 2: agree that Tyler's not the problem. Maybe to get his
- 4:35Speaker 2: coworkers off his case. You get rid of the mini
- 4:37Speaker 2: fridge so you don't seem like you're taking such a
- 4:39Speaker 2: grand stand. But you bring your lunchbox with ice packs
- 4:42Speaker 2: and put it in your desk.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I like, that's a happy media.
- 4:45Speaker 4: I've gone the other way. Get a bigger fridge, Tyler.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I want you to get a full double decker fridge.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I want you to get one of those whirlpool joints,
- 4:52Speaker 4: or when you push the little button the cubes fall out.
- 4:55Speaker 5: In the center. Get one of those in your office.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I wonder what life would be like if I Owe
- 5:00Speaker 2: always took Gabe's advice.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Angie, do you have a little victory from this morning?
- 5:11Speaker 4: Over the weekend, you and I took down Happy Harry's
- 5:14Speaker 4: rib Fest together for the first time.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I really enjoyed Happy Harry's rib Fest. But that is
- 5:21Speaker 2: not where my little victory lies.
- 5:23Speaker 5: Okay.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So, actually, our director of sales, Jessica, she had recommended
- 5:29Speaker 2: an author to me, Freedo McFadden, a few months back,
- 5:33Speaker 2: and I read one of her books, Never Lie. I
- 5:37Speaker 2: didn't really love it, but because I still had that
- 5:40Speaker 2: author in my head, Freedom McFadden, I started reading, and
- 5:44Speaker 2: by reading, I mean listening to an audible. I started
- 5:49Speaker 2: listening to The Housemaid, which is actually being made into
- 5:53Speaker 2: a movie, and it's gonna start your girl, Sidney Sweeney.
- 5:56Speaker 4: And girl, you think she's hot. Yeah, I think a
- 6:01Speaker 4: lot of people think that. I don't know if I
- 6:03Speaker 4: can DIBs that.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Okay, but yeah, okay, no, you know what, let's change
- 6:07Speaker 5: this around. I like this new attitude. Yeah, my girls.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, Sidney Sweeney's gonna start in or of.
- 6:12Speaker 5: A Wendy Pepper kind of guy.
- 6:14Speaker 3: But she's going to start in the Housemaid.
- 6:17Speaker 2: And so I started listening reading The Housemaid, and I
- 6:22Speaker 2: actually I really like it.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm really into it.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And I like that I will have completed a book
- 6:27Speaker 2: before the movie comes out, and that makes me feel
- 6:31Speaker 2: like a real adult.
- 6:32Speaker 4: That's wonderful. Thank you, all right, I like that. I
- 6:35Speaker 4: don't hate that. You know what's funny? What what's the
- 6:38Speaker 4: movie called The Housemaid? That's weird because she was in
- 6:41Speaker 4: the Handmaid's Tale. She was an actress in the Handmaid's Tale.
- 6:45Speaker 4: She was show Yeah, just for a little I think,
- 6:47Speaker 4: for like a couple of seasons, nothing like, but it's
- 6:49Speaker 4: kind of funny.
- 6:50Speaker 5: She just made it up here.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Yeah, she loves made things. Yeah, you don't know my
- 6:54Speaker 4: little victory here. This could not be more little, But
- 6:57Speaker 4: it's just one of my things.
- 6:59Speaker 5: It's just is what it is.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Our dog, of course, has a billion, well billions strong,
- 7:06Speaker 4: I don't know, ten different dog collars right, always kind
- 7:10Speaker 4: of just changing it up just to change the look
- 7:12Speaker 4: of her.
- 7:12Speaker 3: You know, that's cute.
- 7:13Speaker 4: I want something else to look at here. So we
- 7:15Speaker 4: got uh it was, And honestly, we normally just change
- 7:18Speaker 4: them because they're dirty. It's like, well, I'm not going
- 7:20Speaker 4: to watch all this, let's just put a new one
- 7:22Speaker 4: of them. So what we did was we got Wanona's
- 7:25Speaker 4: summer callar washed yesterday. And now Wanona is walking around
- 7:30Speaker 4: looking just prepped and ready to go for summer.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Being that it is June. I love that dog has
- 7:36Speaker 5: her summer outfit on.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I'm so fum that I have not met Wanona yet.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Yeah, you'll have to at some point. She's awesome.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And now that she's got her summer collar, which.
- 7:45Speaker 4: I'll be honest, I think there's another one on the
- 7:47Speaker 4: way via Amazon. Yes, she's got all kinds of outfits
- 7:51Speaker 4: for days.
- 7:52Speaker 3: A woman after my own heart.
- 7:53Speaker 5: That's right.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Do not believe everything you see on the internet.
- 8:05Speaker 5: There was this talk what kind of advice.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Is that the best kind game?
- 8:11Speaker 2: There was this TikTok that was spreading around that I
- 8:14Speaker 2: feel like it was obviously a joke, but apparently people
- 8:17Speaker 2: are taking it seriously, saying that your Costco card would
- 8:22Speaker 2: count as a form of ID when you went to travel,
- 8:27Speaker 2: and that that would let you get on a domestic flight.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So then the TSA released a statement saying that's not true.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You cannot board a domestic flight using your Costco card
- 8:38Speaker 2: as a form of identification.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I know, Gabe, the look on.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Your face if you think your Costco card is some
- 8:45Speaker 4: form of ID getting on a plane. I don't want
- 8:47Speaker 4: to ride on the same plane as you, Honestly, I
- 8:50Speaker 4: might just take the next one.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Well, don't worry, they won't get on the plane because
- 8:54Speaker 2: it's not a valid form of Are.
- 8:56Speaker 5: You hanging around the airport either?
- 8:57Speaker 3: No, that's true.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Back. The real thing is that you need to get
- 9:03Speaker 2: the real ID, and you had so many years to
- 9:07Speaker 2: do it.
- 9:08Speaker 3: If you haven't done it already, and don't worry.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I was gonna say, who doesn't have that?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Well, that is the game I do.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Not have the real ID, but I literally have an
- 9:18Speaker 2: appointment to day to get the real ID because I'm
- 9:22Speaker 2: cutting it close. I'm flying out for a Father's Day
- 9:25Speaker 2: weekend on Friday. Luckily, they just print you your ID
- 9:29Speaker 2: right there, so I think.
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'll be good to go.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But so I had to gather all the documents, right
- 9:34Speaker 2: because the real ID. You can't just like show up
- 9:36Speaker 2: and be like, give me a real ID, because then
- 9:38Speaker 2: they'll be like, why are you singing? Anyway, you have
- 9:40Speaker 2: to bring a lot of like forms with you and
- 9:44Speaker 2: a first worn sacrifice.
- 9:46Speaker 3: There's a lot.
- 9:46Speaker 2: No, it's you have to have proof of identification, proof
- 9:50Speaker 2: of name change if you've had one, proof of Social
- 9:53Speaker 2: Security number, and then proof of North Dakota residents address.
- 9:56Speaker 3: But you have to have two things to prove that.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Yeah, you can go a bill or something right.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Yeah, like a utility bill and your lease or like
- 10:05Speaker 2: your deed to your house or whatever. There's lists like
- 10:09Speaker 2: if you go to what is it the end dot
- 10:13Speaker 2: nd dot website, yeah, you can get all the information.
- 10:16Speaker 2: So I was gathering my items yesterday and thankfully my
- 10:19Speaker 2: mom of a couple of weeks ago, had sent me
- 10:21Speaker 2: my birth certificate because I thought I'll last day.
- 10:24Speaker 4: I think it's funny your appointment is today, right, Yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 4: you're gathering all these items yesterday. I'm gonna guess sometime
- 10:30Speaker 4: after five in the after five at night.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I don't like the way you know me so well.
- 10:35Speaker 3: I don't appreciate that.
- 10:38Speaker 2: But then I realized as I was getting I had
- 10:41Speaker 2: the lease to my home excellent, a utility bill trific boom, my.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Birth certificate that my mom mailed to me. Thank god
- 10:49Speaker 3: I have that fire bro.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I couldn't find my social Security card. Yeah, and that's
- 10:56Speaker 2: like the one thing I felt like I always kept
- 10:59Speaker 2: track of. And so I was tearing apart the house
- 11:02Speaker 2: and the kids were like, Mommy, feed us, and I
- 11:05Speaker 2: was like, no, I'm I have to find our social
- 11:07Speaker 2: Security for yourself.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Night.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Go out in the back and eat grass.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I was really stressed out to the point, Gabe, I thought, well,
- 11:15Speaker 2: didn't I. When I started working here, I had to
- 11:17Speaker 2: bring my social Security card to make a copy. I
- 11:20Speaker 2: drove my happy little butt to work yesterday, yeah, only
- 11:24Speaker 2: to discovery Yes, only to discover no, girl, it's not here.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I drove all the way back. The kids were like,
- 11:30Speaker 2: did you find it.
- 11:31Speaker 3: No, bruh. I was really stressed out.
- 11:35Speaker 5: I was like, we're not.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Going, We're never leaving ever again. For no reason. I
- 11:40Speaker 3: thought maybe I put my Social Security.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Card in a nice safe space. I'm guessing no, in a.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Shoe box with the sparkly shoes I wore over Christmas,
- 11:52Speaker 2: And sure.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Enough there was my Social Security card and good for you,
- 11:56Speaker 3: though you got it. I did. I got it.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So now I realized I forgot all of that stuff
- 12:01Speaker 2: at home, so I have to stop at.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Home for no, I'm kidding.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I have everything together, so as soon as I get
- 12:06Speaker 2: out of here, I can drive straight to the Department
- 12:11Speaker 2: of Transportation and get myself a real ID.
- 12:15Speaker 3: And if I didn't, I mean, I don't even have
- 12:18Speaker 3: a Costco card yet.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Not stay or wide wedding. Sometimes the internet just be interneting.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I guess, oh gosh, what now.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Funniest thing I saw being discussed the other day via
- 12:41Speaker 4: my social media.
- 12:42Speaker 5: I really do have a wild social media that's gonna say.
- 12:44Speaker 2: You'll be telling me things sometimes and you're like, yeah, no,
- 12:48Speaker 2: but these are like people I know in my life.
- 12:50Speaker 4: I'm like, what, Yeah, there was someone I know she's
- 12:54Speaker 4: very excited to get married.
- 12:56Speaker 5: And you know her fiance at Enemies.
- 12:58Speaker 4: A super nice dude, right yeah, and the season right well,
- 13:02Speaker 4: she got her wedding dress.
- 13:04Speaker 5: It's like hanging up in her closet.
- 13:07Speaker 4: And she came home from work and her mom her
- 13:10Speaker 4: She has one of those mother in laws who's like
- 13:11Speaker 4: a little a meddler, a little involved, you know, yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 4: a little too frequently, but she kind of puts up
- 13:17Speaker 4: with this and deals with that. And we're getting close
- 13:19Speaker 4: to the last straw here. She comes home from work,
- 13:25Speaker 4: sees her mother in law's car. It's like, oh, yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 4: she's here, YadA, YadA, YadA.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:29Speaker 4: When she gets in the house, she goes upstairs and
- 13:32Speaker 4: she sees her mother in law in her room like
- 13:35Speaker 4: kind of trying on her wedding dress.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Stop yes, stop, Gabe, stop. Oh I'm like the rage
- 13:41Speaker 2: that boiled inside me right now?
- 13:44Speaker 3: Are you imaginating?
- 13:45Speaker 2: No, I could not imagine. I would Oh my gosh,
- 13:48Speaker 2: I don't condone violence. However, this would be the one.
- 13:50Speaker 3: This would be the one where I would see, right,
- 13:52Speaker 3: it would be like, am I.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Gonna be on CNN later because they are gonna discover
- 13:59Speaker 2: I like murdered my mother in law?
- 14:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that is why you'll.
- 14:04Speaker 5: See to me. And who knows, maybe the mom is
- 14:07Speaker 5: trying to relive the glory days.
- 14:09Speaker 3: That's embarrassing.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Oh. Also, is she one of those moms that like
- 14:14Speaker 2: can't let go of her baby boy, so she wishes
- 14:16Speaker 2: she was the one marrying.
- 14:18Speaker 1: No, it might be.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Now I've never met her, you know.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Oh I'm mad.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Well, so now this person is going to get a
- 14:27Speaker 5: new wedding dress. She's not wearing that now.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Oh, he's made that choice, and she's postponed said wedding.
- 14:34Speaker 5: The entire wedding.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Well it does.
- 14:36Speaker 2: It takes a long time to get a new dress, yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 2: and then to get it tailored. Wow.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Now lo and behold son of meddling mom. Not very
- 14:46Speaker 4: thrilled either with his own mother. Of course, I'm glad
- 14:50Speaker 4: that he's not thrilled with his mother. Yeah, yeah, because
- 14:53Speaker 4: then I'd be like, call off the wedding girl. It's
- 14:55Speaker 4: a red flag if he chooses her over the wife.
- 14:58Speaker 4: I mean, it's kind of nice for me. I've a
- 14:59Speaker 4: weak and that just opened. But I was wondering, have
- 15:04Speaker 4: you ever had to postpone your wedding for whatever reason?
- 15:10Speaker 5: When Corey and I got married, it was and I
- 15:12Speaker 5: tell you.
- 15:13Speaker 4: The whole thing leading up to it a nightmare, all
- 15:17Speaker 4: for it to be the most perfect day of all time,
- 15:19Speaker 4: for everything that went wrong leading up to the day.
- 15:23Speaker 4: The day was wonderful, but we had a venue picked out.
- 15:26Speaker 4: We're all jacked, it's getting there. It's like six seven
- 15:29Speaker 4: months down the road or whatever. The people who owned
- 15:31Speaker 4: the venue sold it and like kind of canceled the
- 15:35Speaker 4: whole thing, right, So we did get some of our money.
- 15:38Speaker 5: Back, but not all of it.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Oh, that's terrible, and so we had to try.
- 15:42Speaker 4: To find a sprint to find a new venue, move everything,
- 15:45Speaker 4: change days, so then of course this person couldn't do
- 15:47Speaker 4: it on this day.
- 15:48Speaker 5: It was absolutely terrible, but it.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Ended up all being great, and it was, to this
- 15:53Speaker 4: day one of the most fun things of our entire life.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Did you end up having to pu pu?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Really? Did you end up having to postpone the actual No.
- 16:02Speaker 4: We did not have to change the date, thankfully, but
- 16:04Speaker 4: that was in discussions. Yeah, and thankfully we did not,
- 16:08Speaker 4: So I was pretty lucky in that regard. What about you,
- 16:10Speaker 4: Did you ever have to postpone?
- 16:12Speaker 2: I did postpone my own wedding and then I got married,
- 16:17Speaker 2: But I did like a small ceremony I wore. I've
- 16:19Speaker 2: told you this, Gabe. I wore a black dress and
- 16:21Speaker 2: six inch leopard print heels and it was in downtown Vegas,
- 16:25Speaker 2: and there wasn't an Elvis impersonator, but there was an
- 16:27Speaker 2: Elvis statue at the chapel.
- 16:30Speaker 3: We did that as like.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Our little But then we were planning a big wedding
- 16:34Speaker 2: and I couldn't find a dress that I loved, and
- 16:42Speaker 2: so then I just kept like putting it off, putting
- 16:44Speaker 2: it off, and then just everything was a mess, and
- 16:46Speaker 2: I was like, we're postponing this.
- 16:47Speaker 3: We're not doing this.
- 16:48Speaker 2: We're supposed to get married in like twenty thirteen. And
- 16:52Speaker 2: I was like, well, just do it next year. We're
- 16:54Speaker 2: already legally married.
- 16:55Speaker 3: We'll just do it next year, next year.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And then lo and behold, we never had a wedding,
- 16:59Speaker 2: and now I'm getting divorced.
- 17:01Speaker 3: So there you go, by It's fine.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 17:06Speaker 4: If you've ever had to postpone a wedding, I would
- 17:08Speaker 4: guess most people would be for you know, someone had
- 17:11Speaker 4: to cancel or something got canceled. I don't know if
- 17:13Speaker 4: there will be anything as crazy as a mother in
- 17:15Speaker 4: law trying on a wedding dress.
- 17:17Speaker 5: But I love the fact that I know people that
- 17:19Speaker 5: this happens to it. Really, I have faith show.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I have a faith in the FM area. So let
- 17:25Speaker 2: us know what is the wildest reason you had to
- 17:27Speaker 2: postpone your wedding?
- 17:28Speaker 5: What about you, Tara?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Well, our venue double booked us with a cat show.
- 17:33Speaker 5: I wish if I was joking.
- 17:35Speaker 1: It had the tiny toxtedos and everything.
- 17:37Speaker 4: The seat right there, a double book, classic mishap double
- 17:41Speaker 4: book with a show for Fluffy. I don't hold about that.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Amazing all right, Andy, what about you?
- 17:47Speaker 2: Dude?
- 17:47Speaker 4: A month before the wedding, the caterer and the photographer
- 17:51Speaker 4: closed up, like they went out of business.
- 17:53Speaker 2: At the same time. I was floored we had to
- 17:56Speaker 2: push the wedding back a few months.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that sounds kind of like, yeah, be almost now.
- 18:01Speaker 4: We were lucky because Corey worked at a hotel where
- 18:03Speaker 4: she had an inn with the lady I don't know
- 18:06Speaker 4: who was kind of in charge of the room or whatever. Yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 4: and so we kind of got, I don't know, bumped
- 18:11Speaker 4: up the list a little bit, but that was because
- 18:14Speaker 4: of like who we knew, not exactly, dude, to paying
- 18:18Speaker 4: anything more right. It was pretty nuts though. All right,
- 18:20Speaker 4: let us know seven oh one two, eight zero one,
- 18:22Speaker 4: nine eighty seven. Have you ever had to postpone a wedding?
- 18:25Speaker 4: What for?
- 18:29Speaker 2: I shared something about my eight year old son Liam
- 18:33Speaker 2: on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page and
- 18:37Speaker 2: one of our listeners, Michael called my kid deranged?
- 18:43Speaker 5: What the heck? Michael?
- 18:44Speaker 3: And I thought, sir, you are absolutely correct. Here is
- 18:49Speaker 3: a lot of love. I found out.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Over the weekend that my son Liam pours the milk
- 18:56Speaker 2: first into the bowl and then the cereal. And Michael said,
- 19:00Speaker 2: you're deranged if you pour milk first, and honestly, I
- 19:04Speaker 2: kind of agree, like, why what, waite? I don't like
- 19:08Speaker 2: this order of operations? What do I have to give
- 19:11Speaker 2: Liam away? I don't lie?
- 19:13Speaker 5: No, hold on, doesn't everybody do that?
- 19:16Speaker 3: Poor the milk first?
- 19:18Speaker 5: Yeah? Gabe?
- 19:20Speaker 2: What No?
- 19:22Speaker 5: I've been doing this for years, Gabe, since I can remember.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Do you want to adopt Liam? You guys deserved together.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I just that was insane to me because I also
- 19:35Speaker 2: didn't teach him to do that. But now that I'm
- 19:38Speaker 2: thinking about it, do you ever actually teach your kids
- 19:41Speaker 2: how to pour the cereal?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Don't they just watch you do it? And I have
- 19:45Speaker 3: never done it in that order.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We did have Mary comment and she said, I put
- 19:49Speaker 2: milk and bowl, then just a little bit of cereal,
- 19:52Speaker 2: eat that, then more. I hate soggy cereal. Here's the
- 19:56Speaker 2: thing that logic tracks to me that does make sense.
- 20:00Speaker 2: But something about it, I still hate it.
- 20:02Speaker 5: It still sounds so tedious.
- 20:04Speaker 3: I don't like it.
- 20:06Speaker 5: It's just tedious. I don't want to work that hard.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I well, you know what I do do
- 20:11Speaker 2: is I pour the cereal, I do the milk, and
- 20:15Speaker 2: then if I finish the cereal and there's still milk
- 20:18Speaker 2: at the bottom, then I add more cereal.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Yeah you give me that.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the normal way. But I really thought that
- 20:24Speaker 2: Liam was going to be alone in this, But apparently
- 20:27Speaker 2: Mary does it.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Apparently you do this.
- 20:29Speaker 5: I've never done that.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you just wanted to make me feel weird. Yes, okay,
- 20:35Speaker 3: but how common is this?
- 20:36Speaker 5: Yeah? I don't know.
- 20:37Speaker 4: I bet there's more people that do it that we think.
- 20:41Speaker 4: But also I've never watched someone in person do it.
- 20:45Speaker 4: If I've watched some psychopath or milk a little bowl
- 20:48Speaker 4: and then get a box of cereal and board in there.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I'd be like, what are you doing?
- 20:52Speaker 3: You know what, Let's take it to the streets.
- 20:54Speaker 2: And by the streets, I mean the Big nine eighty
- 20:57Speaker 2: seven Instagram.
- 20:58Speaker 3: I'm going to post a poll on there.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Okay, follow Big ninety eight seven FM on Instagram. Do
- 21:05Speaker 2: you pour the milk first or the cereal first?
- 21:08Speaker 5: We'll take a.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Poll and then we'll I'll report back, all right with
- 21:12Speaker 1: my finding. We'll have we'll have the answer for that tomorrow.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Right here on Big ninety eight point seven, It's time
- 21:23Speaker 1: for Gabes good News of the day. And this is
- 21:25Speaker 1: a kind of scary story but sweet story at the
- 21:28Speaker 1: same time. Here it wouldn't be Gabe's Good News of
- 21:30Speaker 1: the Day without you know, positive and okay, good, all right.
- 21:34Speaker 4: During a family vacation, a five year old girl named
- 21:37Speaker 4: Brooklyn saved her three year old sister, Calli, from drowning.
- 21:44Speaker 4: The little sister had just taken off her floaties and
- 21:48Speaker 4: slipped into the pool unnoticed. Realizing that her sister couldn't
- 21:52Speaker 4: swim without and Brooklyn immediately jumped in and pulled her
- 21:56Speaker 4: to safety. The big sister's quick action was this especially
- 22:00Speaker 4: remarkable given that she's never had formal swim lessons either.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Her mother described the moment as terrifying and praised her
- 22:08Speaker 4: her bravery. Swim lessons are beginning next week for the
- 22:13Speaker 4: young hero, and the rescue caught attention of US congress
- 22:17Speaker 4: Congressman Wesley Bell, who surprised Brooklyn with a Certificate of
- 22:22Speaker 4: Recognition and Resolution honoring her courage.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I love that drownings. I get like, so I can't.
- 22:30Speaker 3: I get so scared of that.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm watching my kids like a hawk whenever
- 22:35Speaker 2: we're at the pool because drowning is it's so scary
- 22:38Speaker 2: and it can happen so quickly. That is amazing that
- 22:41Speaker 2: she has her big sister to do that for her. Also,
- 22:44Speaker 2: she's never gonna let that go.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Really, she'll have that.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Forever or ever. Yeah. Yeah, we used to live by
- 22:51Speaker 5: a pond. It was like fairly close.
- 22:53Speaker 4: And I know my mom if she ever couldn't see us,
- 22:56Speaker 4: like in the yard while she was doing the dishes,
- 22:57Speaker 4: you know, because we go out and play and she'd
- 22:59Speaker 4: kind of keep an eye on us. But yeah, if
- 23:01Speaker 4: she ever lost track of us or whatever, she'd be
- 23:03Speaker 4: sprinting out to.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Go into the pupon, Yeah, if.
- 23:06Speaker 5: We had fallen in.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Here's what her dad did have to say as well,
- 23:09Speaker 4: describing the moment.
- 23:11Speaker 6: As soon as she jumped in. That's when Brooklyn went
- 23:14Speaker 6: into action. She knew her sister didn't have floates on,
- 23:17Speaker 6: she knew she couldn't swim without them, so she dove in.
- 23:19Speaker 6: She didn't even give a chance to start screaming for him.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Ow sweet? Is that quick reaction?
- 23:23Speaker 2: That?
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yep? All right?
- 23:25Speaker 4: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 23:27Speaker 4: find one, you gotta be one. We hope you enjoy
- 23:29Speaker 4: your Monday. Don't forget the big money board coming back
- 23:32Speaker 4: at ten eleven, which is brought to you by Lilistall Research.
