- MARK HAYES (00:01.275) Alright ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another exciting edition of Two Minute Black and White and Honest Conversation. We are at war and we don't know why. They can't tell us why. We know we got played like Lotto, but that's about it. There was no imminent threat against the United States of America. But yet we're at war. U.S. servicemen and women are dying. We've got people, U.S. citizens abroad that can't get home. It's a shit shell. Brock and Ellis is here now joining me from the lovely confines of the upper Hudson River Valley and Brock, you know, I'm just trying to figure out why the incompetence is ruling. It's incompetence everywhere. And yet the American people seem to be okay with it. We're just gonna take it. Mark Hayes (01:10.391) We're definitely taking it right because there's no recourse. Polling showing like 25 percent, 27 percent of Americans approve of this war, which is the exact polling that around the exact point the Vietnam War had at the end when we had finally given up on it. And that's where we're starting. But yeah, the incompetence goes beyond that. Right. The lack of preparation is a war of choice. And yet we're totally unprepared in terms of how to protect U.S. citizens abroad. The Israeli embassy, the U.S. embassy in Israel just like we can't help you basically. And yet commercial flights are being shut down for good reason because the airspace isn't safe. And yet that's the message that that Americans overseas are told. Just find your way home type of messaging. So once again, just not caring about. the well-being of the citizenry and where Americans are seeing and feeling it already is at the at the pump. Right. I was hearing I didn't I didn't leave today with an ice storm up here. So had to fill our propane tank yesterday. Sure, it was more expensive than it was 48 hours before. So I didn't see what what the gas prices were up here, but I was seeing online we were seeing over three dollars a gallon in a lot of places. So Americans are going to feel it. MARK HAYES (02:15.874) Yeah? prices. Mark Hayes (02:37.247) in their pocketbook first. And if they care that they're being lied to by Trump, maybe it's bothering them. I guess if they have family in the military, it's definitively bothering them. MARK HAYES (02:52.398) Well, the military guys, they're suckers and losers. He's already said that. So we know how he feels about them. So, I mean, again, we talked about it yesterday. They're pawns on a chess board, right? Not even a chess board. They're pawns on a checkers board because Trump is playing checkers. Everybody else is playing chess, right? We got 500,000 to a million Americans, citizens. in the middle east being told get home the best way you can but evacuate pretty quickly it's going to get ugly over there what the hell is that what the hell is that let's talk about the incompetence the kuwaitis shoot down three of our our fighter jets right because they weren't told what was going on all right nobody calculated the ripple effect about what's happening. What do we got? 12, 13 nations involved in skirmishes all over the Middle East. The Middle East is hot right now. There are skirmishes and battles being fought everywhere. But get home the best way you can, you American citizens. You well-off, well-to-do, high net worth, white Americans. that are serving abroad. You know what they pay teachers over there? I've heard of people going over there to teach because they're paying like a buck 50, 200K for you to come over there and teach. There's a bunch of Americans in the Middle East. You had shells hit in Dubai. You think Dubai wants to be the resort palace that it is and the resort machine that it is? You think they want live? Rockets flying through their hotel resort zone. I mean, this is, it's a mess. And we're continuing to watch the Mad King just, I mean, every day he looks worse. He had the German Chancellor there at the White House today for what? Europe hates us right now. I don't even know why the German Chancellor came to glad hand with this moron. MARK HAYES (05:10.188) I mean, it makes absolutely no sense. Nobody in their right mind is joining the U.S. in terms of bombing its, what, ninth nation in a year? It's ridiculous. Mark Hayes (05:23.403) The strongest, eighth Palestine, we'd forgotten Syria had been forgotten in Somalia. We're the others that we left off the list yesterday. Spain made the strongest statement right there refusing to let us use their air bases as, you know, for, for the bombing runs. So of course Trump lashed out at them and now he's where there's going to be retribution for Spain. Cause they made, you know, something of a moral stance on this and looking at this. MARK HAYES (05:33.835) Right. MARK HAYES (05:41.558) Spain too. MARK HAYES (05:51.688) Mm-hmm. Good for them. Mark Hayes (05:53.525) I'm not sure they said it, but they certainly view it as an unlawful war, right? If they're not supporting, you know, we're their NATO partner. Sort of in theory on paper, on paper, right? But I'm sure they questioned it already relative to Ukraine. It's a clusterfuck, right? But we Trump would lead us into this because he's demented and a moron doesn't think anything through. Still not connect. We can't connect the dots yet and exactly where his self-interest lies here. MARK HAYES (06:01.954) Right? Mark Hayes (06:22.283) We just can imagine and assume that it's a combination of blackmail and bribery that got us into this war. Why we're talking now about possibly being around for three, four months, I don't know what we'd be doing for the next three and a half months over there. You know, what the purpose of that, of staying would be. But then again, there's not really regime change. It's just gonna be a younger version. MARK HAYES (06:39.693) Yeah. Mark Hayes (06:49.879) of the same sort of theocracy leading Iran. So I mean, that was kind of a pipe dream that we're going to trigger revolution there. So once again, brought to bring it back to here, I think the American people have already figured out that there's nothing in it for us. Right. Why would the polling be so low? MARK HAYES (07:10.954) Right. Yeah, there's nothing there, Brock. What could we possibly be getting out of it besides hardship, right? Continued hardship, right? When the oil prices go up, remember the ripple effect, right? When the oil prices go up, guess who pays higher prices? The truckers who are trucking the goods and products in from the seaports, right? So the seaport fuel cost goes up. they pass it on to the consumer. The truckers fuel costs go up, they pass it on to the consumer. The oil prices go up, the oil companies pass it on to the consumer. That's all we're doing is getting hit every which way left and right. But apparently, for the one percenters, the affordability crisis is not an issue. It's not anything that people think about. know, I don't, you know, we want to talk about, you know, kitchen table issues. Why would we talk about kitchen table issues? There's nothing on the kitchen table. Why would we gather there? What are we going to do? Eat condiments, ketchup packets, sprinkle salt on our hand with no tequila. I mean, it's a joke. It is a joke as to what this man will actually say and expect us to believe it and keep saying it over and over again and the minions just run with it. It's pathetic at this point, bro. Mark Hayes (08:53.739) mean, in terms of like the day to day, you know, living for so many Americans that, you know, the one paycheck away from big problems, Americans, which we kind of start to learn is like almost half the country, right? Paying a higher gas price is just going to chip away at something else. There was already the do I pay the rent? Do I pay my health care bills? Do I pay my car insurance type of question? And now you start adding 20, $40 a month to someone's, you know, daily expenses, that's just food off the table again, or it's like less insulin they can buy. Like it's real impacts from a populist that's already been stretched. Maybe that's what's going to push more and more middle of the roaders away from the MAGA world, just to realize that MAGA can't govern. MARK HAYES (09:35.47) for sure. Mark Hayes (09:53.269) This isn't working. It's not working internationally. like the Iran bombing is almost the international mirror image of ice running around our big cities, wreaking havoc without a plan, just, you know, bullying without a real end goal. But of course, always the others, right? In this case, it's, you know, Muslims, the Muslim world, the middle East. MARK HAYES (10:05.474) Get full. MARK HAYES (10:16.654) Right. Mark Hayes (10:22.795) here in America, it's brown people. And then just on the ice topic, right, obviously, Kristi Noem, you know, was put in front of the, you know, felt the fire today and she had no answers. MARK HAYES (10:23.031) Yeah. MARK HAYES (10:30.222) clueless on the hill today. MARK HAYES (10:35.81) Nope, she didn't even have any answers for why she killed the 14 month old puppy. Somebody finally got in her tail about that. I mean, the woman is just ludicrous. She has no business governing because she can't. She doesn't know how. This absolute power corrupts. You know, these folks have taken it and put it on steroids and you know, injected it with helium and taking it to a whole new level. Because between her and Lewandowski with their affairs, you know, and joining the Mile High Club and bringing her blanket, losing her blanket, firing people, you know, running around like, you your garden variety street whore. I mean, you're supposed to be in charge, lady. Have you no decorum? Have you no self-respect? Gosh almighty, these people are so, so beneath us as Americans in terms of what kind of qualities we look for in leadership. Mark Hayes (11:48.951) Trump sets the tone from the top, the combination of incompetence and corruption is in every single leader. With Noem, it's this luxury plane that she has, it's the $150 million contract that went to her ex publicist or whatever. And then it's the incompetence where her agents are killing people. She can't even acknowledge that she called Alex Priddy a domestic terrorist. She doesn't even know whether these, in essence, MARK HAYES (12:13.006) Right. Mark Hayes (12:19.027) alleged murderers are still on the job. She couldn't even answer those simple questions. So that's her right. Cash Patel, you have the similar scenario, right? Incompetence on every single issue. He fires a bunch of Iran experts a week before we go in there, right? He can't find any killers, but of course he's got FBI agents driving his girlfriend around home from parties. MARK HAYES (12:34.968) Thank Mark Hayes (12:43.785) and he's flying around in the private FBI jet, which then is not available for official business use, right? He's chugging beers while, you know, crimes are not being solved. And then you have Hegseth, right? So incompetent with the signal gate doesn't have no idea what he's doing, but he's a religious zealot. He's a Christian nationalist and he's got the tattoos to prove it. And now we have some of the troops being sent into battle, being told by their leaders that they're going to fight a religious war. in Iran and it has something to do with like Armageddon it's like what the fuck are they even talking about Like they're bringing this Christian, this crazy religious zealotry into this war in Iran. But we could go, you know, then you have Lutnik. You can go to each head of each agency and you can find the incompetence and the corruption sitting right next to it. And it's every, you see all these stories on the labor secretary, her husband can't even go in the building because he's accused of sexual assault. She's taken funds from the agency for some parties she's throwing. MARK HAYES (13:21.695) back. MARK HAYES (13:32.398) Each department. and the clinic. Mark Hayes (13:51.155) might've been her own birthday party, right? So every single agency, like there's not a single one of them that's being run properly. Rubio's now just lying his ass off, right? Cause he's, he's lost. He's just totally lost all semblance of credibility that he once had. Up and down the line, but it starts with Trump. He sets that tone. MARK HAYES (13:53.55) Right. MARK HAYES (14:08.492) Yep. Yeah. Mark Hayes (14:14.699) He's raiding the treasury. He's making horrendous decisions. He is the epitome of corruption and incompetence and works its way down through the whole team. MARK HAYES (14:23.458) Yeah. Yeah, here's the deal, Brock. and this incompetence is going to cost someone their life, right? We've got a trial going on right now for a gentleman who those experts from that Iran unit, that, that, that top flight Iran unit, the counterterrorism unit picked up because he was plotting an assassination attempt against Trump first time around. Right? So That trial is actually happening right now. Now you're going to tell me you fired a dozen of those experts, more firings to come, and you think that Iran doesn't know how to get back? Okay, they invented the game. Russia and China, right? They're child's play compared to Iran's ability to seek and destroy and kill their mortal enemies. right, Iran. had a guy, this guy who was on trial right now, he got caught here offering up to a million dollars for someone to take Trump out. He was here in the States with the money, had tracked Trump's movements and the Secret Service and figured out how to pierce the bubble that surrounds the Trumpster to take him out and had a million dollars to offer. up to a million dollars to pay. So you think they don't know you think they hey they were going after Pompeo they were going after Bolton they know who they want. They it's it they're not like us they not like what a Kendrick Lamar say they not like us they know who their enemies are right. We we're just guessing you know the the podcasters of the world that are running our federal government and and supposed to be Mark Hayes (15:52.587) the bubble. MARK HAYES (16:20.29) keeping us safe from terrorist activity. I haven't felt this unsafe since 9-11. Mark Hayes (16:27.977) If you think about it, you're saying that I was like, know, Dan Bongino was basically us, me and you. And then he was all of a thrown into the number two role in the FBI. It's like they called you tomorrow and said, hey, Mark, we got we got a seat for you. You're now the deputy commissioner of the FBI. And they say, hey, Brock, you know, you you're a Middle East expert. But that's no different than Jared and that other real estate Yahoo guy running around playing State Department, cutting corrupt deals. You know, who knows? MARK HAYES (16:32.854) Yes! MARK HAYES (16:40.045) YEAH! MARK HAYES (16:44.974) Very smart. MARK HAYES (16:49.848) Bye! MARK HAYES (16:53.602) Cutting yields. Right. Mark Hayes (16:57.387) fucking flooding Trump's wallet while we bomb the world. It's so problematic. It's so disgraceful. The fact that we've let it go on this long is such a indictment of the American people. At least now the polling and the sentiment is shifting and MARK HAYES (17:05.762) When is somebody going to follow the money? MARK HAYES (17:10.414) Right. MARK HAYES (17:25.292) Right. Mark Hayes (17:26.771) It's just going to, you know, if a Tom see like a Tom Tillis gets me aggravated because he showed such intensity today in his grilling of Kristi Noem, right? He was the most aggressive and now he's saying that he won't vote for any nominees until Kristi Noem answers a bunch of questions that he asked. But that's Tom Tillis in the last, you know, basically nine months on the job. MARK HAYES (17:36.749) Yeah. MARK HAYES (17:44.706) Yeah Mark Hayes (17:56.492) when he's not running again, right? When he's riding off into the sunset. Where was the Tom Tillis of the five years before this, when he was a Senator thinking about wanting to run again, nowhere to be found. And that's political, that's political cowardice. So I'll take what he's giving today. I'm happy he's come around, but I mean, if that's the only time. MARK HAYES (17:56.792) Right. MARK HAYES (18:04.908) Right. MARK HAYES (18:09.088) Right. Yeah. Yeah. Mark Hayes (18:24.055) If that's the only time a politician can actually show some gumption is when they've punted on their career. There's no one actually making a moral stand anymore or doing what's right for the country. It's only what's right for them in the given moment. And that's why we've lost. That's why we lost to MAGA. That's why we've lost democracy. It's why we've lost rule of law. That's why we've lost our stature in the international community. That's why we're American in decline. MARK HAYES (18:30.509) What? MARK HAYES (18:34.968) Right. MARK HAYES (18:42.478) Bye. MARK HAYES (18:52.204) Yes, yes. And it's not going to stop anytime soon because our leaders are so corrupt and cowardly, especially on the blue side with the cowardice. Why we can't get there to call it out with Chuckles and Hakeem, it's really sad to see us falling so far so fast. Yeah, American decline is like the understatement of the week. Mark Hayes (19:25.111) Yeah, but I mean, a poll came out today. Supposedly 50 % of the American people now want to abolish ice. So let's go back to Kristi Noem for a second. We know 73 % don't want this work. 50 % want to abolish ice. That's not even defund ice. That's not even retrain ice agents. That's not we want ice agents to wear body cams. This is abolish ice. This is the AOC stance. MARK HAYES (19:42.934) Right. Let's get ready. MARK HAYES (19:48.056) Let's get rid of it. Mark Hayes (19:52.203) that supposedly so leftist and out of the mainstream that Hakeem Jeffries and Schumer couldn't get there. So that means if 50 % of the country wants to abolish ICE, at least 60 to 70 % of the left wants to abolish ICE outright. So if Schumer and Jeffries are the leaders on the left, why is it that they can't say that? Why are they afraid to take the stance? They're not leaders. They're going to follow the rank and file. And now maybe we'll see their rhetoric come around. MARK HAYES (19:52.28) You're right. MARK HAYES (19:57.998) Right. Mark Hayes (20:22.059) But that's not what leadership is. They both need to be removed. We need new leadership on the left. We need fighters, not those that are always taking the temperature and checking to see what their corporate benefactors want to hear from them. MARK HAYES (20:25.73) Nope. Nope. MARK HAYES (20:40.468) Right. Right. And you know, we haven't wavered on that. We've been saying that for months. We've been saying that for months and it needs to happen. It needs to start today in Texas with Talarico. You Talarico may want to think about a run for the House of Representatives, but Jasmine Crockett needs that Senate seat because we need fighters like Jasmine Crockett. And I'm not talking about for next year, I'm talking about two terms down the road, right? When, who knows where we are, right? Because we're headed to uncharted territory with this Trump and, you know, his ability to corrupt the Senate and Congress and render them useless. And how many more wars is he gonna start without congressional approval? Mark Hayes (21:39.189) Man easy once. MARK HAYES (21:40.417) Yeah, what do we got nine already? I mean, what the hell? Exactly when is it going to stop? When is Congress going to stand up and do their job? When is somebody going to get called down? When is somebody going to go to prison for these illegal orders and these illegal actions? And why are our military leaders sending our soldiers into harm's way based on illegal orders? That someone, that unilateral wet dream of a person should be sent to prison. This is ridiculous. I'm tired of our kids being put, you know what? Send Baron over there. You wanna go to war? Send Baron. Send Ivanka's kids. Send Eric and whatever the other guy, Don Jr. Send their fucking kids over there. You wanna fight? You care about America so much, America first. Remember that? Remember when they used to say America first? You know, most of these fuckers don't even know where Saudi Arabia is. They don't know where Iran is. They don't even know where the Middle East is, because they've never left the fucking zip code that they live in. That's how we got to this isolationist freaking concept. Because the poorly educated, the undereducated, And those who are not willing to try to better their own circumstance are staying at home. Never leaving Kearney, Nebraska. You know, even when the meat plant shuts down, we're gonna ride it out. I lived in Ohio for four years. generations of folks stuck there in the rust belt, not moving, not looking for alternatives to education. When the factories have been closed, Those factories are not opening people. They've been closed for 20 years. Those manufacturing jobs are not coming back. I just read a little blurb the other day that said, you know, for African Americans, 2026 to 2030 is going to be your best opportunity to accumulate massive wealth because of AI. And here are the nine AI platforms you should learn how to master if you want to make MARK HAYES (24:08.214) some real money over the next five years. I'm not just talking about white America, black America, brown America. I'm talking about everybody, right? Because we got the same issue in black America. People don't leave. They still in the same spot, not finishing, not doing things to better their own circumstance. We all know education is the key to success. Why are we following a president who thinks that the poorly educated are the way to go? The poorly educated are the way to go because he can put shit over on them, right? Because he's always been a con man. So that's why poor education works for him. That's why we dismantled the Department of Education. Mark Hayes (24:58.123) Yeah. Well, yeah, you know, higher, you know, great education for the wealthy, right with the vouchers and, really segregated education. Yeah. I mean, I, you know, I hear you on that front. MARK HAYES (25:07.8) cool toys yeah Mark Hayes (25:15.511) You know, I really, really think it's important for the left. When you were saying you were worried about Jasmine Crockett two years and four years out, I was thinking in my head, I'm worried about, I want Jasmine Crockett in the fight tomorrow. So I don't want her losing today because it tarnishes her voice and her influence tomorrow. Cause I want her in the fight 2026 cause she's so good at the fight. MARK HAYES (25:29.006) Right. MARK HAYES (25:33.549) No doubt. MARK HAYES (25:38.638) Right. Mark Hayes (25:46.231) And yeah, so it would be a big blow to me. It would be a big blow to the resistance to lose her. MARK HAYES (25:46.38) Well, and MARK HAYES (25:52.44) huge. And that's why that's super cat. Mark Hayes (25:53.185) Cause James Talerico talking about religion, Talerico talking about religion and Armageddon and all that shit in the good book is just to me, you know, a shade away from what's going on in the department of war where they're telling our soldiers that we're going out to fight a war about Armageddon because of something. I don't even know what the religiosity behind it is. I just know it's some crazy shit. MARK HAYES (26:05.601) Right. MARK HAYES (26:16.238) Well, Brock, let me take you back to Desert Storm. Let me take you back to Afghanistan and these endless wars. How do you kill off a generation of mindset and people? You can't kill off millions and millions and millions of Afghanis. And you know what you do by the ones you do kill? You create a whole new generation of terrorists. A whole new generation of people yelling death to America. Did you see that video from Iran just the other night? Thousands of people in the streets yelling death to America. Mark Hayes (26:56.993) Well, when you bomb an elementary school, you're going to how many think of the enemies you're going to make, right? MARK HAYES (27:00.312) What do you think's gonna happen? Exactly. Exactly. All right, let's get up out of here. What do you got for me? Quick hit. Mark Hayes (27:09.941) You familiar with this polymarket? MARK HAYES (27:13.39) poly market with like polyamorous like. Mark Hayes (27:16.491) Polymarket is a prediction market where people go on and bet on random events in the world, anything and everything. Of course, it's run on top of a crypto. you know, crypto wallet, right? So it's, you know how like people bet on sports and now you can bet on everything. Who's going to score the first basket? Who's going to win the jump ball in the game? Right? Like those, those, those micro bets. Well, polymarket is betting on world events. So what happened to court? It's the most rigged market in the world, right? Which is why Trump and Trumpians love it because you can actually, there were actually a bunch of bets placed on when America was going to bomb Iran. MARK HAYES (27:32.781) Uh-huh. MARK HAYES (27:41.198) Right. Yeah. MARK HAYES (27:59.725) you're kidding. Mark Hayes (27:59.893) And obviously a couple of vents came in. hours within the bombing and those people made millions of dollars off of the suckers and losers that were on the other side of the bet because they didn't they weren't in the know it's like it's an inside trading market for government officials it's the most corrupt organization in the world and i almost laugh when i hear that people lose money in markets like this because i don't know how anyone could possibly place a bet in a market where you know MARK HAYES (28:15.054) That's not corruption. Mark Hayes (28:32.249) know someone betting against you may actually have the answer to the question ahead of time every time. MARK HAYES (28:37.228) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (28:41.259) Cause certainly some guy, next table at Mar-a-Lago knows when they're going to bomb Iran. He goes in places of bet that we're going to bomb Iran today. And he fleeces you out of a couple hundred grand. Cause you've, you've bet that we're not going to go to war with Iran because you know nothing. Polymarkets keep an eye on it. Google it. It's the funniest, most dangerous, most idiotic platform in the world. MARK HAYES (28:55.906) What a job. What a job. MARK HAYES (29:06.762) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (29:09.877) but it thrives in the Trump, in the Trump, in a Trump world, things like that thrive. MARK HAYES (29:16.46) Yeah. my gosh. Yeah. Because it makes perfect sense in the Trump world. Makes perfect sense. Go ahead and cheat, know, out of millions of dollars. Yeah. You know, might as well be playing the shell game. Three card money. All right. Back to Texas. You know who's running for a congressional seat in Texas? Mark Teixeira. That name ring a bell? Mark Hayes (29:24.353) Conman, yeah, it's a Conman platform. Mark Hayes (29:43.499) Yeah, Yankees first baseman. MARK HAYES (29:45.526) running as a Republican. MAGA. Mark Hayes (29:50.091) He's from Tech, he played on the Rangers too. Okay, he's MAGA. Okay, probably happy about those lower taxes, because he made a lot of money playing, right? MARK HAYES (29:52.822) Yep. Yep. Peace, Maga. MARK HAYES (29:58.895) Right. But, know, again, it doesn't surprise me with baseball. Lot of MAGA in baseball. Chipper Jones has come out with some dumb shit. know, John Rockers of the world. You know, again, the poorly educated in baseball. Not a lot of cats going to, you know, universities, you know, playing in the major leagues. You go right out of high school straight into the pros. Nonetheless, though, Now we see why there are so few African Americans playing the game. You know, now we see. What's surprising though is, you know, these guys, Te'Chara, Chipper Jones, they played alongside so many Latinos throughout the course of their career. There's probably more Latinos in Major League Baseball than anything else. You go down to the Dominican Republic, every Major League team has a school. a training facility in the Dominican. That's where they're harvesting their talent. And these guys play alongside of them for, you know, baseball, you play 15, 20 years without batting an eye, you know? And these guys, you know, will come back and say, yeah, what did Chipper Jones say? Less talk, more handcuffs. You know, Mark Deshera obviously wants to get in on, some of this brutality too. So, know, screw it. Mark Hayes (31:27.733) Yeah, he played, must've played with Mariano Rivera for like 10 years, right? I mean, or hey, Posada, so. MARK HAYES (31:31.564) You think? You think? MARK HAYES (31:36.607) Aint that big. You know, what do we got all the white guys up front, all the brown guys in the back. I don't know, bro. You know, it's and you know, and I remember, you know, one of the things I loved about us when we played together is that sports, you know, with a great unificator. I don't know if that's a word, but you know, when I think about our basketball team, my senior year, I missed the games, you know, a couple of them, because we had a lot of fun that year. I miss. The donut runs, I miss the knee football games. I miss, you know, the Sunday afternoon, you know, just talks, you know, six, seven guys sitting around, you know, not really giving a damn about who's black, who's white, who's Jewish, who ain't. You know, we're just enjoying each other's company. And that's what I miss. And now, You know, it seems like such a polar, I mean, even the, like, I don't even know how you win today, you know, outside of, you know, just everybody shutting the fuck up and playing as hard as they possibly can. Mark Hayes (33:03.083) Mark, you know, I'll see this till I die probably. I don't understand how you go from that being in that kind of community. in being close to people to where you get to know them, you know their humanity. Unless you and then having your life go on and shifting your mentality away from that. Like how do you go become more racist later in life when you've had such integration and such great times in life when you are living in a diverse, let's just call it a diverse community. We were functioning in a diverse community. MARK HAYES (33:18.263) Right. MARK HAYES (33:27.757) Why would you? MARK HAYES (33:39.512) Right? Mark Hayes (33:42.889) little society we created was diverse. So how do you leave that and have such great memories of that and great formative times of that and then go on outside of it and move away from it and become less? MARK HAYES (33:46.126) Right! Mark Hayes (34:01.915) like supportive of that or not wanting to create that more and more in your life. I don't get it. I don't know. How does Mike DeShera be in that locker room for years with Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada and Mariano Rivera and winning champion Bernie Williams, right? And when it we just were New Yorkers. So we know the Yankee players, right? And when I think he won his one world series with the Yankees and have that moment of popping champagne bottles, this and that. MARK HAYES (34:02.616) Bless you, me. MARK HAYES (34:24.814) Really? Mark Hayes (34:28.659) And then go back and want to be a MAGA guy who wants to be a part of a white supremacy movement? I mean, I, know, people are fucked up, but. MARK HAYES (34:33.9) Yeah, it's crazy. MARK HAYES (34:39.756) And then what's he teaching his children? Mark Hayes (34:41.825) Somebody just tweeted, said, yeah, now they live in gated communities. It's segregated gated communities. I guess that's, my point is why would you want that after you've had something different that was such a great part of your life? Why would you want to move away from that? That's the missing piece of the puzzle that I don't get. So. MARK HAYES (34:56.661) Exactly. MARK HAYES (35:04.59) Right. And it's frustrating. You know, it's maddening. It really pisses me off. Especially when I have biracial grandchildren, right, that I want to be looked at as human beings. You know, it really does take away your zest. for life. know, Brock, I travel, I'll talk to anybody, Anywhere, anywhere. Mark Hayes (35:42.743) Yeah, you talk to that Jewish family in the Miami airport like a month ago. MARK HAYES (35:45.984) Yes. Yes. Yeah, I was in an airport not too long ago. I ran into the University of Utah baseball team. Had a chat with them. They were playing out in California. mean, all white guys. I think they had a couple of Latinos. They had 40 guys on the team, brah. Mark Hayes (36:00.929) Well, wait guys, Ute, Utah. wait guys, figured Ute. OK. wow. MARK HAYES (36:11.16) for college baseball. I was like, damn, I said, they still playing with nine guys or did we add three more somewhere? Shit. Mark Hayes (36:20.491) Those road trips must be fun. Those road trips must be like a traveling party with 40 college kids going on the road. Fucking mayhem. MARK HAYES (36:25.428) my god. Yes! Yeah, especially if you don't got to play. You know? Jeez. Mark Hayes (36:31.511) Pitch pitchers pitchers just pitch the one game and then MARK HAYES (36:36.02) Exactly. The pitchers are nervous as hell. But yeah, man, you know, and it just it just takes away, you know, your hope for the future, especially when we turn on the TV. Again, to quote Kendrick Lamar, turn the TV off, turn the TV off. That's what I do. All right, buddy. That's it for us for tonight. Back it up again tomorrow. Mark Hayes (36:57.175) All right, good stuff, Mark. Tomorrow we'll talk, we'll see what Texas tells us. Cause I think Texas is going to tell us a lot about the MAGA world and a lot about the left. think we're going to learn some, we're going to have some interesting stuff to talk about tomorrow. I'm rooting for Jasmine. All right, Mark. MARK HAYES (37:02.883) right. MARK HAYES (37:07.704) a lot of people we are MARK HAYES (37:14.318) Yep. Will we need our citizenry paperwork for another country or will we be staying? I think that's what it'll tell us. All right, my friend. See you tomorrow. Peace. Mark Hayes (37:24.693) All right, Mark. Always a pleasure. Bye.
