- 0:20Speaker 1: Foiled. But what's going on? Everybody? I am the one,
- 0:23Speaker 1: the only, the w oh okay, I e joined here
- 0:26Speaker 1: by the normal cast of misfits. We're missing a misfit.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We're gonna add a misfit right now. So we got
- 0:32Speaker 1: the PhD of key Forge, Doctor Sheet Yay, the Choke
- 0:37Speaker 1: show Himself dress Corps. Hey, guys, how's it going? And
- 0:40Speaker 1: our newest misfit one of our locals, Pete.
- 0:45Speaker 2: You want said he'd be right back. I feel uncomfortable.
- 0:49Speaker 2: He said he was gonna go, uh, hang out with
- 0:53Speaker 2: the wife. You can't see my air quotes right now.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 2: So he said it should be what two minutes? Do
- 0:59Speaker 2: we sell three? Gave it two minutes?
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Well so that means he is about seven minutes late.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: You know, he's the kind of guy who's probably got
- 1:09Speaker 3: garter belts to his socks and it takes him two
- 1:14Speaker 3: minutes to get on dress.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Hasn't actually gotten started yet.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Okay, I'm sorry, I have a bad image now. Anyways,
- 1:23Speaker 1: lots to go over. Obviously a couple of new things
- 1:27Speaker 1: came out. We just want to highlight for you guys
- 1:29Speaker 1: that we had the love letter to key Forge this
- 1:31Speaker 1: week and the champions are forged not born. If you
- 1:34Speaker 1: guys want to go check those out, you can find
- 1:36Speaker 1: him at keys dot com. We've already kind of already
- 1:39Speaker 1: gone over those and with the rest of what we'll
- 1:42Speaker 1: go over because this is the last day episode one
- 1:45Speaker 1: of the KFC. We went through uh, I think Thursday,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and then we went through Friday, Saturday, and now we're
- 1:50Speaker 1: going through Sunday.
- 1:52Speaker 2: So this is it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: We're at the we're at the end stages here, but
- 1:55Speaker 1: we do have a little bit to go over. One
- 1:58Speaker 1: of the big things that we found out from the well,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I don't know what order, but Metal Ember are coming back.
- 2:07Speaker 2: That was announced today.
- 2:08Speaker 1: It only took three game founds. Yeah, it only took
- 2:13Speaker 1: three game founds of us asking for chatchkey ship and
- 2:17Speaker 1: us saying, hey, remember those Embers they used to give
- 2:20Speaker 1: away that FFG used to give away and free right
- 2:26Speaker 1: and expensive?
- 2:27Speaker 2: How much are they? They are expensive? This is true? How much?
- 2:32Speaker 1: But what are they running.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Dollars for fifteen tokens?
- 2:37Speaker 2: Okay?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's not too dissimilar right from luxury
- 2:41Speaker 1: play style, Right, I.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Saw you guys all being like fifteen, why not eighteen?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Exactly that reason.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I'm I definitely make more than fifteen
- 2:52Speaker 2: member in a turn, so I would have to get
- 2:54Speaker 2: multiple Yeah, what does bandola do?
- 2:58Speaker 1: I just locks you like three or four these bad boys.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta get you gotta got a case.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I might end up sticking with my pink number. I
- 3:07Speaker 1: like my pink number.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Let's see I want now. I'm actually curious how many.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Ideas and these are not as stellar as I want
- 3:17Speaker 1: them to be.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Well, being that those are digital renderings, it's who cares.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not even for fifty for fifty, but oh
- 3:26Speaker 1: these are okay, fair enough for fifty dollars, I kind
- 3:30Speaker 1: of expect. I thought you just said they were like
- 3:33Speaker 1: forty five, forty four dollars zero, thirty nine, ninety nine. Okay,
- 3:41Speaker 1: either way, it was forty dollars is a little bit pricey.
- 3:48Speaker 1: So luxury play style I'm on the website right now,
- 3:50Speaker 1: how is luxury playstyles.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Right for there? For for ten of them, it's forty
- 3:56Speaker 2: six dollars.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Those are also I get twenty. They are eighty seventeen
- 4:01Speaker 1: carrot gold. Maybe I think they're.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Really gold eighteen gold plated, eighteen plated, but at least
- 4:10Speaker 2: they're gold. I mean plating. You don't have to put
- 4:13Speaker 2: much on it to be plated, right, I just got
- 4:15Speaker 2: to like breathe on it a little bit.
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's not necessarily true. There's a lot that goes into plating. Actually,
- 4:21Speaker 1: I do know.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I guess, I guess would know.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I do know a little bit about the jewelry plating process.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You know, it's it's not going to get you anything
- 4:31Speaker 1: in return, but I mean it's gold as opposed to
- 4:34Speaker 1: God knows what these are.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Not gold, I.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Don't know, but extra extra asbestos. Right, they're coming from China.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Percent. Yeah, they're coming from China for sure.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But if you were, if you wanted, I still just
- 4:50Speaker 1: want what was wrong with the acrylics? Was there a
- 4:53Speaker 1: reason we're not going back to the acrylics?
- 4:57Speaker 3: They might actually be more that the costs versus the return, right,
- 5:04Speaker 3: because although they're croaks, are certainly cheaper to produce in
- 5:09Speaker 3: on an individual level, the fact that they are not
- 5:11Speaker 3: intended for sale versus.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I mean people by them. People were buying them in fact,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but not from gg, not from Gigi, but I think
- 5:26Speaker 1: Gigi could sell them regardless. Check out check out the
- 5:31Speaker 1: game found for some mettel m Bayo. I don't know
- 5:36Speaker 1: why I said it like that. If you want metal
- 5:37Speaker 1: umbirds there.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Maybe we can sharpen the edges and throw them.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds more fun. All right, So we got
- 5:46Speaker 1: the home base program? Is it back like it normally is?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Who read this article?
- 5:50Speaker 2: I didn't, Well, so so it is. It's back. It
- 5:55Speaker 2: seems pretty similar. There is a little difference though, So
- 6:02Speaker 2: what they did this time is they say they're basing
- 6:05Speaker 2: it in some fashion based on dollars spent instead of
- 6:10Speaker 2: just like pure number of pledges. So well we asked
- 6:15Speaker 2: for last time. Yeah, yeah, I guess it's you know,
- 6:19Speaker 2: if you have people combining or I guess, like I
- 6:23Speaker 2: don't know, if you get a bunch of people at
- 6:25Speaker 2: your store who do the huge pledge that.
- 6:29Speaker 4: They're able, they're able to split up their different bids.
- 6:33Speaker 4: So if you have multiple stories, you can support multiple
- 6:35Speaker 4: stores too.
- 6:36Speaker 3: What about you can lose it only gonna buy from
- 6:38Speaker 3: stores and not give any of this money the game. Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 3: I get vote again because I actually support my locals.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I don't get.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Vote and that has been the complaint where.
- 6:53Speaker 3: You know, I don't make draft score money anymore.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. So sheep.
- 6:58Speaker 4: Your complaint is still there, but they're looking for their
- 7:01Speaker 4: cuts and they definitely want it.
- 7:03Speaker 1: See but how much damage is this? I mean, you know,
- 7:06Speaker 1: there's there's such a thing like, you know, like Kickstarter
- 7:09Speaker 1: and game Found, the red headed stepchild of the crowdsourcing community.
- 7:16Speaker 1: There is a there's an argument, okay, well either way,
- 7:22Speaker 1: Like there is an argument like this is the new way, right,
- 7:25Speaker 1: like this is the way that things are being just
- 7:28Speaker 1: done now. However, However, what you are seeing a lot
- 7:34Speaker 1: in a lot of these games, they are kickstarting their
- 7:36Speaker 1: first one, which is originally what we were told was
- 7:38Speaker 1: going to happen, and then the rest goes to retail, right,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and it is not going that way anymore.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Well, again, we could prepay for the key forge. That
- 7:52Speaker 4: is another model that we're seeing. You could go ahead
- 7:55Speaker 4: and just have done it as one, which is what
- 7:57Speaker 4: they stated. It looks bad, it feels bad. I think
- 8:03Speaker 4: our numbers definitely show. And when I say numbers, I
- 8:08Speaker 4: guess I'm really talking about the project itself and how
- 8:11Speaker 4: many people are truly backing right now. We're at five
- 8:13Speaker 4: hundred and twenty one backers, and I think that's a
- 8:15Speaker 4: real issue, is that you have a for one hundred
- 8:18Speaker 4: and forty one thousand dollars twenty three one hundred and
- 8:21Speaker 4: forty one twenty three dollars at this point on Thanksgiving
- 8:25Speaker 4: for US eleven days left, you have, you have a
- 8:28Speaker 4: small group of people who have really pledged a lot
- 8:31Speaker 4: of money. And that's what I see as keyboards right now.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And I'm not sure because I'm looking at actually dead sinks.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I got to look for Jm's little thing. We are again,
- 8:46Speaker 1: so you can see there's a there's a dip. He
- 8:49Speaker 1: took a whole out.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Ah, they're thirty three percent.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Oh, it took another thirty three percent.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Dep Well, I know that's what it looks like to me, right, it's.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Not like that, I mean, but you can see like
- 9:02Speaker 1: and I don't know if I can. Yeah, here I can.
- 9:05Speaker 1: For those of you in the chat, I can post
- 9:07Speaker 1: it for you. It's taken quite a dip from you know,
- 9:12Speaker 1: he doesn't have wall in here. I wish he did,
- 9:14Speaker 1: but he did. It isn't it's not a big deal.
- 9:16Speaker 1: But he's got grim reminders.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I mean, we can't we can't really complain for how
- 9:20Speaker 4: much for paying them, So.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't pay him anything. So grim reminders, and
- 9:25Speaker 1: then you can see ember Sky's and not prophetic visions,
- 9:28Speaker 1: and that this number keeps going down. It starts off
- 9:31Speaker 1: on the same trajectory, and then right around I don't
- 9:36Speaker 1: know day, right after the first day, it takes that dip,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I guess see, not even before the first day. So
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm not sure what's going on. Am I choppy? You
- 9:49Speaker 1: guys are telling me I'm choppy?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Well you yeah, the last few episodes, you've been choppy
- 9:54Speaker 2: to us.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Sometimes at the moment you're not. But I don't know
- 9:58Speaker 1: what's going on. Maybe I gotta make sure.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Hopefully, I guess I could actually listen to us and
- 10:03Speaker 2: see if actually came through.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I have to listen to the episodes, so any answer
- 10:09Speaker 1: is no, Well, it's good to you guys. I'm not
- 10:13Speaker 1: sure what's going on. But I have a different input
- 10:15Speaker 1: on my end than you guys have. So maybe I
- 10:18Speaker 1: kind of moved around my set up a little bit again,
- 10:23Speaker 1: and maybe the extra space is causing an issue or
- 10:28Speaker 1: one of the maybe one of my cords is going bad.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I don't know, but the home base program is back
- 10:35Speaker 1: in a little bit different of a fashion, So I
- 10:38Speaker 1: guess I'm going to ask the same question we asked
- 10:41Speaker 1: last time, Sheep, what are your are you backing dollars back?
- 10:46Speaker 3: Zero dollars zero dollars, Bob, I do represent a store
- 10:53Speaker 3: and we will be getting a pledge through us through
- 10:55Speaker 3: the store, so it's not zero zero but.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Personal personal Sheep space dollars nil.
- 11:06Speaker 1: All right, drafts car, what do you what do you purchase?
- 11:09Speaker 2: Just like the last campaign, I'm doing the one sixty
- 11:12Speaker 2: and I am gonna throw two sets of these metal
- 11:16Speaker 2: tokens in.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Are they coming in?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:19Speaker 1: You're gonna add do the add on?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yep ewok?
- 11:23Speaker 1: What are you?
- 11:24Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 11:26Speaker 4: I'm actually really struggling now. I'm struggling because I did
- 11:31Speaker 4: not go in with amber Skies and I just got
- 11:34Speaker 4: six decks each of amber Skis and Talk and I
- 11:39Speaker 4: really felt the pain of not opening decks and being
- 11:42Speaker 4: able to have a couple decks to play with. I mean,
- 11:44Speaker 4: I had six, and we play locally, and so I
- 11:47Speaker 4: grabbed until we've now run out and it should be
- 11:49Speaker 4: back next week. But I miss having, you know, five
- 11:56Speaker 4: boxes to be able to look through. And my struggle
- 12:01Speaker 4: is it's five boxes of cardboard that sits on a
- 12:05Speaker 4: shelf for the most part, but at the same time,
- 12:11Speaker 4: I'd much rather go ahead and support my local store.
- 12:13Speaker 4: But even getting them to order it and have it
- 12:16Speaker 4: is problematic, and the best price is here through Game Found.
- 12:20Speaker 4: So I find myself in a pickle. I don't honestly
- 12:23Speaker 4: know what I'm going to do. I'd like to see
- 12:28Speaker 4: some organized play announcement that would help me. It would
- 12:32Speaker 4: help to see what's coming for next year for Vaults,
- 12:34Speaker 4: which I believe Josh has some good ideas and is
- 12:40Speaker 4: running with, so I'm hopeful for that.
- 12:43Speaker 2: But I.
- 12:45Speaker 4: It's difficult to try and be a competitive player Wookie
- 12:48Speaker 4: when you're only opening essentially twelve decks and then here's
- 12:52Speaker 4: one a week or two a week. It's very much
- 12:57Speaker 4: a lottery, and I've not been very good at a
- 12:59Speaker 4: playing a lot same same.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I don't think buying a ton more decks is the answer.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I understand, but I don't know. I honestly feel
- 13:09Speaker 4: like I would. I feel like I could go through
- 13:12Speaker 4: and I could have here's one, two, three decks that
- 13:15Speaker 4: I would enjoy and have something to be able to
- 13:18Speaker 4: do with.
- 13:21Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm struggling.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I just gotta be like Dras and buy the good
- 13:24Speaker 3: ones on the secondary market.
- 13:26Speaker 2: So that was the thing is with you all the
- 13:31Speaker 2: two or three times. I guess still, I've bought four
- 13:35Speaker 2: decks now of seriousness.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Didn't that top four deck from Yes?
- 13:39Speaker 1: I did?
- 13:40Speaker 2: I did. Yes, I did buy that uh mere hours
- 13:45Speaker 2: before the before it be God, yes.
- 13:49Speaker 4: But the thing about that dazz is I said, Hey,
- 13:51Speaker 4: I would say, whatever money I was going to go
- 13:53Speaker 4: ahead and put into the boxes, I would go ahead
- 13:55Speaker 4: and buy a deck. The secondary market is just absolutely
- 13:59Speaker 4: dead right now.
- 14:00Speaker 2: It is dry.
- 14:01Speaker 4: There's a there's a few decks that are selling, but
- 14:03Speaker 4: for the most part, if you're opening something, you're a bi.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The secondary well that's a buyer's market. Then well there's
- 14:10Speaker 1: a no. No, there's a no. So here's here's the
- 14:13Speaker 1: whole market. Because I've been looking around because I was like, man,
- 14:16Speaker 1: maybe I take twenty twenty five, like I really enjoyed
- 14:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, I'd like to take twenty twenty five
- 14:22Speaker 1: twenty twenty five a little more seriously. And you start
- 14:26Speaker 1: poking around and you start looking at decks. In the
- 14:28Speaker 1: first place, where do you guys go If you're looking
- 14:30Speaker 1: for decks, just search dokay, search the Okay, yeah, right,
- 14:37Speaker 1: but here's the problem with the Okay, now, DK is
- 14:39Speaker 1: full of decks that are they look good, but in reality,
- 14:45Speaker 1: like when you get into some of these top tier decks,
- 14:49Speaker 1: and I think you and I talked about it, we
- 14:50Speaker 1: talked about it in our private chat, like they beat
- 14:53Speaker 1: the decks they're supposed to beat, but once you get
- 14:56Speaker 1: to that upper echelon of decks, they just they're not
- 15:00Speaker 1: as good as you think they are. Period and a story.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I mean that is anything as good as you wanted
- 15:05Speaker 3: to do.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean there's there's no perfect deck, which
- 15:08Speaker 2: is part of the reason why this game is great.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And and so Morgan has down there in the chat.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I think like the serious buyers, like they do not
- 15:20Speaker 2: look for decks for sale, right, they look at just
- 15:25Speaker 2: decks and then they hound right and they attack, right.
- 15:31Speaker 2: You know, there was there was a person who uh
- 15:34Speaker 2: is no longer uh no longer plays a game, but
- 15:37Speaker 2: like they were famous for just like pulling out all
- 15:40Speaker 2: the stops to try to uncover any sort of evidence
- 15:43Speaker 2: they could online of like who might own this deck
- 15:48Speaker 2: and oh somebody heard that somebody's local somewhere in this
- 15:53Speaker 2: state had so just like finding anybody in that state
- 15:57Speaker 2: and the emailing them do you know this person? Who
- 15:59Speaker 2: is it?
- 16:00Speaker 4: And then tracking it down, finding it and then buying it. Like, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 4: I do hear what Wookie is saying. I hear what
- 16:08Speaker 4: you're saying, DRez. I do feel that a lot of
- 16:11Speaker 4: what is being sold is coming from our key Ford community.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Like that's backing. You got five hundred people. It's a
- 16:19Speaker 4: very very very.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Focus group.
- 16:24Speaker 4: And so I feel the decks that are for sale
- 16:26Speaker 4: form the most part. There's a couple of decks that
- 16:28Speaker 4: I still feel are fine. Again, Wookie, I think that
- 16:31Speaker 4: you're looking for some decks that are going to be
- 16:33Speaker 4: tried and true, that are going to go ahead and
- 16:35Speaker 4: be bangers, that are going to just consistently win. Those
- 16:38Speaker 4: I don't think are coming in at a reasonable price.
- 16:41Speaker 4: If you want to play, pay an obscene amount. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 4: it's available. Sheep level money is what we're talking about.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Offered sheep level money almost to sheep level money on
- 16:51Speaker 1: a deck you offer, well, I offer what was my thing?
- 16:57Speaker 1: I think I thought offered three eighths of stupid sheep money?
- 17:00Speaker 4: Okay, three aces not going ahead and stupid Like.
- 17:04Speaker 2: That's the problem.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I forgot it I did the actual man.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Remember, there's also if if it was a deck that
- 17:10Speaker 2: did reasonably well at Worlds at case see, then like
- 17:15Speaker 2: it is at its high water mark of value in
- 17:18Speaker 2: that person's mind right now.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So I offered fifty five percent of stupid Sheep money.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's quite a bit, but it is
- 17:28Speaker 2: quite a bit.
- 17:29Speaker 4: But I think that when we're looking at some of
- 17:31Speaker 4: these decks in order to be able to break through
- 17:34Speaker 4: the echelon, there's only a few decks that are going
- 17:38Speaker 4: to go ahead and make it. And so I think
- 17:41Speaker 4: that people are holding on to them. I think that
- 17:43Speaker 4: people are clinching and keeping them close and saying, no,
- 17:46Speaker 4: this is not going to go unless it's first stupid money.
- 17:49Speaker 4: And that's just that's what I have gone ahead and seen.
- 17:52Speaker 4: And so you're hoping to be more in a lottery
- 17:55Speaker 4: or open up. And while I had some money that
- 17:59Speaker 4: was set aside for the different boxes, just there's nothing
- 18:02Speaker 4: that has come even close that I'm like, hey, I'm
- 18:04Speaker 4: interested in this and I'm willing to put for the
- 18:06Speaker 4: money for it.
- 18:09Speaker 2: So you should see if I give up his deck
- 18:12Speaker 2: for for fifty five percent of Sheep's money.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So I don't.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I don't know if you had seen Riku's actual deck.
- 18:20Speaker 2: But that was oh yes, I yes, it was the deck.
- 18:24Speaker 4: So no, no, But I'm saying, like, that's the deck
- 18:27Speaker 4: that he fell in love with, that he had opened early,
- 18:29Speaker 4: and he had played with, and so like there's there's
- 18:32Speaker 4: attachment to that deck and a vast knowledge from multiple
- 18:36Speaker 4: plays on that deck. And I just I think that
- 18:40Speaker 4: some people are more attached to their decks than others.
- 18:43Speaker 4: But the problem is is that if you find a
- 18:47Speaker 4: great deck that gets opened by someone who's potentially not
- 18:51Speaker 4: as super active, then it becomes a real wild card
- 18:54Speaker 4: of can you even get in contact with him? Do
- 18:56Speaker 4: you know anyone? Is it is this even do you
- 18:59Speaker 4: have any way to contact? Which is what drascored you
- 19:01Speaker 4: were talking about, is how can we go ahead and
- 19:03Speaker 4: communicate with individuals on the secondary market. But I'll say again,
- 19:08Speaker 4: I think that cost for decks because a personal attachment
- 19:13Speaker 4: has increased, and our group is just it's a smaller group,
- 19:19Speaker 4: and so people are holding on to those decks that
- 19:20Speaker 4: can really make it through to those top aids.
- 19:23Speaker 2: That's just my opinion.
- 19:24Speaker 4: You also see individuals who are frankly in that top
- 19:27Speaker 4: eight who are opening a wider array of decks and going, yep,
- 19:31Speaker 4: this is it out of the boxes that I've opened.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and some of those folks also they
- 19:39Speaker 2: buy a ton of decks like on the secondary market
- 19:44Speaker 2: for like cheap ish, and then test and then resell
- 19:49Speaker 2: the ones they don't think are is good, or they
- 19:51Speaker 2: wait for somebody to make an offer on a deck
- 19:55Speaker 2: and like, okay, now I'll test it, because they buy
- 19:58Speaker 2: a whole bunch of decks that you know, look reasonably good.
- 20:02Speaker 2: So I will do that. But but I've definitely heard
- 20:08Speaker 2: of folks doing that. So yeah, it's uh, it is.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It is tricky.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It feels dry, tricky to get, is all I'm saying.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It feels super duper duper duper dry right now.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I mean, you really think it would take five grand
- 20:27Speaker 3: to buy anybody's top performing deck right now?
- 20:31Speaker 1: I think you are absurd. But I don't. I don't
- 20:36Speaker 1: see that. I don't see the value at that point.
- 20:39Speaker 1: There's no there's there is no more prior, there is
- 20:42Speaker 1: no more dollars to be one via g G. It
- 20:45Speaker 1: doesn't make so five grand is just at five grand.
- 20:49Speaker 1: If it's gonna take five grand, I will buy five
- 20:51Speaker 1: grand of g R and find it.
- 20:53Speaker 4: But but that's but this is the thing is like
- 20:56Speaker 4: going ahead and going to a vault to ur in
- 21:00Speaker 4: saying that this has a high probability of being able
- 21:03Speaker 4: to place that. That's where some people are saying, I
- 21:06Speaker 4: won't let my best thatt go until it's five grand.
- 21:08Speaker 4: But you're right, wookie. Right now, with no prize money,
- 21:12Speaker 4: there's little incentive to be able to go hide and
- 21:14Speaker 4: place any money on some of these larger decks that Frank,
- 21:18Speaker 4: you're going to.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You guys are like you guys are still always stuck
- 21:21Speaker 3: in this world of like you only invest for prize money.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Like look at the amount of money people spend on
- 21:26Speaker 3: decks and other hobbies that have no reward. Thing like
- 21:30Speaker 3: this is disposable income for a lot of people and
- 21:33Speaker 3: definitely are not buying it either as an investment or
- 21:37Speaker 3: with an expect of a return.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Right Well, it's just yes, the expectations if they want it,
- 21:42Speaker 4: and they have with the number.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Okay, so there's multiple reasons. Number one, there's still no
- 21:46Speaker 1: prize money. Number two, the field.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Is so much. I agree, it is not worth five
- 21:53Speaker 3: thousand dollars in any metric of this is how you
- 21:56Speaker 3: would value. That doesn't mean any thing, though, because we're
- 22:00Speaker 3: in a realm of where things are sold, not for
- 22:03Speaker 3: their ability to return the money invest it. It's like
- 22:08Speaker 3: buying there's there's just so much stupid ship people buy
- 22:12Speaker 3: for lots of money that there will never be a
- 22:15Speaker 3: return on investment, but it doesn't matter because they wanted it.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that what you're looking at, Sheep is
- 22:22Speaker 4: there will be people who will spend money not for Hey,
- 22:26Speaker 4: I'm going to make money, but it gives me a
- 22:28Speaker 4: better probability of making a top eight at a vault.
- 22:31Speaker 4: And if I'm looking at going to multiple vaults and
- 22:34Speaker 4: I can have that high occurrence of showing up and winning,
- 22:38Speaker 4: that's what they're But it's paying for the way. That's
- 22:41Speaker 4: but that's but that is still an option. But there's
- 22:44Speaker 4: a lot of people saying, well, I'm paying a lot
- 22:46Speaker 4: of money to go to the vaults and for this,
- 22:48Speaker 4: and frankly, yeah, and I wouldn't.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Have enough money to also spend five thousand dollars on
- 22:54Speaker 3: a deck correct or even two thousand dollars on a deck,
- 22:57Speaker 3: And that's totally fine. I'm not in any way suggesting.
- 23:01Speaker 2: People should do that don't spend out of your meals.
- 23:04Speaker 3: It's just the fact that these decks are these top
- 23:08Speaker 3: performer decks are very hard to replace, maybe not possible.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Not anymore so I guess I guess that then you don't.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Have to do by sealed if you think that's the
- 23:21Speaker 3: way to go.
- 23:23Speaker 2: This is the thing that IM sort of started but
- 23:27Speaker 2: haven't really done and sob but you could try this, Waki.
- 23:31Speaker 2: So I was like, Hey, I'm gonna search for Cantina
- 23:36Speaker 2: Fiend because it's great and with a few cards that
- 23:40Speaker 2: I think are great combo pieces. And just how many
- 23:45Speaker 2: decks are there out there with a minimum SASS rating.
- 23:50Speaker 1: And if.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah, probably around there. And I bet you not all
- 23:57Speaker 2: of those are good, but I bet you you could
- 23:59Speaker 2: find one you'd be happy with for I don't know,
- 24:04Speaker 2: a few.
- 24:06Speaker 4: Maybe yes, maybe, So I will say, yeah, tokens have changed.
- 24:13Speaker 4: I think that we've seen a lot playing on uh
- 24:19Speaker 4: the Crucible right now. That seems to be an area.
- 24:23Speaker 4: But again, most decks will go ahead and ebb and
- 24:26Speaker 4: flow in their popularity and what's there. I think what
- 24:29Speaker 4: Wookie wants is something that's fraud ass, that is pastor
- 24:32Speaker 4: ass esque, where they can consistently win at a very
- 24:36Speaker 4: very high rate regardless of what set is here, and
- 24:40Speaker 4: so we've seen that flow.
- 24:42Speaker 2: So Scholarsam is a perfect example.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I want gr I know, I want gr Okay, I
- 24:49Speaker 1: know I want that.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And do you want the wind cut or do you
- 24:54Speaker 2: not want wind cut?
- 24:55Speaker 1: It doesn't necessarily have to be wind cut number one.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Its name is Pastor Ass. Okay, that is such a
- 25:03Speaker 1: but we writ I, well, it's such.
- 25:06Speaker 3: A but the name No, it's Pastor Ass Nimrod Well,
- 25:12Speaker 3: the name alone is worth several hundred dollars.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I agree, it's such an ac name that just I.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Would buy that deck if it was if it was bad.
- 25:23Speaker 1: For the name right name alone, so you could credit
- 25:29Speaker 1: probably wouldn't shred it. But I mean I just I couldn't.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Actually I actually just found it Nathan, which is a
- 25:39Speaker 1: decent deck. I lost it, but then I refound it.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Still in turns out once you find it, it's still
- 25:48Speaker 1: in French, no no speaking, yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 3: In seven to ten space weeks or I.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Did order a English copy of Nathan.
- 26:03Speaker 4: But I think that was the question, and I had
- 26:06Speaker 4: a few lines back, probably two minutes ago. But the
- 26:09Speaker 4: question is have you been looking at some of the
- 26:11Speaker 4: foreign language decks. There are some decks that, frankly before
- 26:15Speaker 4: we might have pushed off because they were in.
- 26:17Speaker 2: A foreign language.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Right now, today I faced a quad Kirby deck with
- 26:21Speaker 4: double Tribute and it had some legs. My Katina Feene
- 26:27Speaker 4: did take it down. It was nice back and forth,
- 26:31Speaker 4: but it really it caused quite a bit of stir there,
- 26:35Speaker 4: and so it is interesting. But I think looking at
- 26:38Speaker 4: some foreign language decks offers a route that wasn't previously
- 26:42Speaker 4: possible because now you can print it in English.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, like I said, I the only reason
- 26:50Speaker 1: I've never really played Nathan is due to the fact
- 26:52Speaker 1: if it's in French, I do know most of the
- 26:56Speaker 1: cards in them via artwork, but there are like a
- 27:00Speaker 1: handful of rando is in there. I don't think the
- 27:02Speaker 1: Star Alliance is good enough to do anything, but maybe.
- 27:05Speaker 2: The Star Alliance from Nathan.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Yeah, What've I rocked that Star Alliance consistently, buddy, Like
- 27:14Speaker 4: that's Star Alliance. You build the big giant fat board
- 27:17Speaker 4: and with it multiple kin cans and what it offers.
- 27:21Speaker 2: No, no, no, I disagree with you on that.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Okay, we can disagree, that's fine, But either way, I
- 27:29Speaker 1: should in seven to ten space weeks whatever that is.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I ordered it, I think two weeks ago.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I don't think they're even printing them yet.
- 27:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:41Speaker 1: But either way, I don't know. I have ordered it,
- 27:44Speaker 1: and we will see. It's it's still rocking an eighty
- 27:47Speaker 1: nine as far as sas goes. So it's not terrible.
- 27:56Speaker 4: When we're saying and laughing about an eighty nine is big.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're a weird story. Alf Gar is in ninety three.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I would like to start playing elf guar too. That
- 28:08Speaker 1: is that is a weirdly enough, A umberling deck does
- 28:12Speaker 1: make lots of umberlings. Monster Gen and Fernandez both went
- 28:16Speaker 1: up too, and so did l weird story. But and
- 28:23Speaker 1: guess who has possession of all of those right now?
- 28:28Speaker 3: I have some of them?
- 28:29Speaker 1: You have all of them?
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah? I loute you for your good stuff.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You're like, hey, can I borrow al? And I'm like sure,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and then it just never comes back. And then I
- 28:40Speaker 1: need Monstrogen and Fernandez for my alliance, and then it
- 28:42Speaker 1: just never comes back.
- 28:44Speaker 3: That's because I'm responsible.
- 28:47Speaker 4: My real question, have you yes, yes, you do. My
- 28:52Speaker 4: real question is have you gone ahead and just checked Vietnam?
- 28:57Speaker 4: To see the Vietnamese decks, because that's really where.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Sort by, I don't think you can start that.
- 29:04Speaker 2: No, not that, and so did I?
- 29:06Speaker 1: But I did I go? Did I go to Vietnam
- 29:09Speaker 1: and start shaking people for their for their decks?
- 29:12Speaker 2: No?
- 29:12Speaker 4: But I mean looking at what both Bamboo and Riku
- 29:16Speaker 4: were able to pull and some of the decks coming
- 29:18Speaker 4: from Vietnam, it is they had a real nice print
- 29:22Speaker 4: run there.
- 29:22Speaker 1: So yeah, they sure did, didn't they.
- 29:24Speaker 2: We also don't know how many they've been opening, right,
- 29:27Speaker 2: how many they have to go through to get those?
- 29:28Speaker 2: We don't know? This is true.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Well, let's move on to the Crucible Clash. Crucible Clash
- 29:34Speaker 1: is a special keys Forge set design specifically for competitive
- 29:37Speaker 1: sealed play. In a sealed game or tournament, players do
- 29:41Speaker 1: not bring their own decks are collective. Instead, they each
- 29:43Speaker 1: open you one to three gotta gotta So basically Crucible
- 29:45Speaker 1: Clash will be everyone keep using, keeps using menagerie and
- 29:51Speaker 1: all that menagerie unchained. I don't think this is the scene.
- 29:56Speaker 2: And its art gun power. I'm confused, right because because
- 30:01Speaker 2: if you keep reading right, basically it says that they're
- 30:08Speaker 2: not usable outside of sealed play.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Correct, So play it yeah and throw it away?
- 30:17Speaker 2: So like why what Like I don't understand, right, Like
- 30:24Speaker 2: is it is it just Hey, we wanted to do
- 30:26Speaker 2: another Managerie set, but like we didn't want to call
- 30:28Speaker 2: it that, or.
- 30:30Speaker 3: We're claiming it. I mean it is exactly Like, that's
- 30:32Speaker 3: exactly what Managerie is. It's basically sealed play with other
- 30:36Speaker 3: Menagerie decks, and technically you can keep yours after you've
- 30:41Speaker 3: opened them and maybe find somebody who will play against
- 30:44Speaker 3: your Managerie deck. And that's basically gonna be the same
- 30:48Speaker 3: for Crucible Clash, right, there's no there's gonna be nothing
- 30:51Speaker 3: after the fact, after you've opened your Crucible Clash back
- 30:54Speaker 3: and played it that day. As long as our opponent's
- 30:57Speaker 3: willing to play against it, it doesn't really matter. It's
- 31:00Speaker 3: just will never be legal tournament play, which makes it
- 31:03Speaker 3: basically exactly like Menagerie.
- 31:06Speaker 2: So it's a like intentionally designed to be played in
- 31:11Speaker 2: isolation only against other Crucible Clash decks. So like, because
- 31:16Speaker 2: the power level is high, low is maybe turned up.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Every Crucible Clash deck will include a special ARCon power
- 31:26Speaker 2: fine chosen from a list based on con Are these
- 31:29Speaker 2: going to be good archon powers like shit talking.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I don't think that will be just a flectulance.
- 31:39Speaker 4: I'm guessing each every time you play a card it's
- 31:42Speaker 4: steal one.
- 31:42Speaker 1: The archon will have an ability. I'm assuming I've also
- 31:47Speaker 1: heard thoughts of like it's gonna be like the packets
- 31:49Speaker 1: that they had a menagerie.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Well, they give a clue where it says like if
- 31:54Speaker 3: the deck includes a lot of a type of icon,
- 31:56Speaker 3: it may include an arc on power that provides a
- 31:58Speaker 3: new use for that bonus icon. So that means to me,
- 32:01Speaker 3: they're just going to recycle capture Mela men, Maleficorn, thank you.
- 32:11Speaker 3: H Like, well, then what's the other one puzzling trinket
- 32:15Speaker 3: like those kinds of effects and put them on ARCon cards.
- 32:18Speaker 3: So like.
- 32:21Speaker 2: You're using a cool concept. But like the way this
- 32:24Speaker 2: reads to mind.
- 32:26Speaker 1: It very much is it's very Commander esque. Yeah, because
- 32:31Speaker 1: when you build your Commander deck, you are very much
- 32:34Speaker 1: building it a skiboards. You're not building your building.
- 32:38Speaker 3: So but don't worry our and that modifies the algorithm
- 32:44Speaker 3: to build into it, which is what Naturalie sort of
- 32:47Speaker 3: was doing.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Yeah, or like he says, they're not balanced for competitive
- 32:51Speaker 4: play against decks from any other keyboard set.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Akay, we did not play test this at all. So
- 32:57Speaker 2: what is the thing that this reads like to me?
- 33:01Speaker 2: It's like, we're getting more raptors.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Yeah, if you put hass raptors in, I don't care.
- 33:10Speaker 4: If it is the first deck that I open, it
- 33:12Speaker 4: is ripped. I don't care if it is my top
- 33:14Speaker 4: SaaS deck, it is being ripped on the spot. If
- 33:17Speaker 4: it is hass this raptor and I get this stinker again.
- 33:20Speaker 2: We're gonna get slayers and uh bulwarks, right, that's what
- 33:25Speaker 2: we see on the box and pack. I yeah, I
- 33:31Speaker 2: think this is an excuse not to play test, and
- 33:33Speaker 2: it's too bad because like I think that concept of.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Concept that could have Yeah, like that's a very casual format.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Right, like like it could be a cool like imagine
- 33:44Speaker 2: if they wrote the album. And so it's like, Okay,
- 33:46Speaker 2: there's like I don't know a dozen different powers your
- 33:50Speaker 2: ARCon card could have and it figures out based on
- 33:53Speaker 2: the deck that was generated. Oh well, there's six card
- 33:56Speaker 2: that can trigger off of this, for that could trigger
- 33:59Speaker 2: off of that, but there's seven that's this. So we're
- 34:01Speaker 2: gonna put the seven trigger power in because you have
- 34:04Speaker 2: more opportunities to trigger it, like that could have actually
- 34:06Speaker 2: been a really cool things.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I love that you are so optimistic. Well, no, I'm
- 34:16Speaker 4: We've been with GG long enough that I already know no,
- 34:20Speaker 4: that's just not what they're going to do. And I
- 34:23Speaker 4: think that the community going ahead and screaming out at them, like, guys,
- 34:28Speaker 4: you already know that people are frustrated with Menagerie not
- 34:31Speaker 4: being able to be played in tournament wise just opening
- 34:34Speaker 4: up another deck and I think someone had actually listed
- 34:37Speaker 4: how many sets we've now had within a year span. Now,
- 34:42Speaker 4: all of these bonus sets all fall into that space.
- 34:45Speaker 2: But it takes a big toll.
- 34:48Speaker 4: On your playtesters making sure that it's properly done and
- 34:51Speaker 4: if not, we have some real issues. And whether it
- 34:55Speaker 4: falls and then well, and that's the question is is
- 34:59Speaker 4: it just a hot mess for our playtesters or is
- 35:02Speaker 4: it that it's not play tested and so well, we
- 35:06Speaker 4: don't have to care then because it's not ARC unworthy.
- 35:08Speaker 4: And again, does it matter if it's if it's for
- 35:11Speaker 4: the people who are around kitchen table who are just
- 35:13Speaker 4: jamming out some games, all right, great, they had total fun.
- 35:16Speaker 4: I know, Sheep, you said that Tuesday when we were
- 35:18Speaker 4: talking about it. But for the rest of us who
- 35:20Speaker 4: are looking for tournament play, are you interested in this?
- 35:24Speaker 4: I guess that's the question, Sheep, drazz Wookie, are you
- 35:27Speaker 4: interested in this?
- 35:29Speaker 3: The fact that I can't potentially now mind you, as
- 35:33Speaker 3: you guys have seen, every time I open a deck,
- 35:35Speaker 3: it goes in somebody else's backpack or garbage can anyways,
- 35:39Speaker 3: so that aspect you would think wouldn't bother me much,
- 35:43Speaker 3: But actually taking away the gambling aspect of opening a
- 35:46Speaker 3: keyfordge deck significantly reduces my interest. Like I have ever
- 35:52Speaker 3: only opened exactly the number of Menagerie and on chain
- 35:58Speaker 3: decks I have needed to play when that was the
- 36:02Speaker 3: only choice to play, plus a few actuals to try
- 36:05Speaker 3: to help out in the ABR team, and that was
- 36:07Speaker 3: a waste of time.
- 36:09Speaker 4: If anyone is still looking for some naserie or unchained
- 36:14Speaker 4: or unchained, I actually, you guys just wait a second.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I'm gonna go into the closet because I'm pretty sure
- 36:19Speaker 4: I have a box that I would love to go
- 36:20Speaker 4: out and have someone with your garbage. I know that's
- 36:25Speaker 4: the problem.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Still unchained, Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Yeah, so do I I even have unchained. I have
- 36:32Speaker 3: on chain twenty two still celebrations.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the ones that came in the box. Wow the
- 36:43Speaker 2: I so I already told my store owner that like
- 36:50Speaker 2: he should only buy a very small number of crucible
- 36:53Speaker 2: clash until we know what it is, and we'll we'll
- 37:00Speaker 2: buy plenty of prophetic visions.
- 37:02Speaker 4: But all right, so a box of unchained is what
- 37:05Speaker 4: is there? If anyone's looking for a great deal, come
- 37:07Speaker 4: talk to e walk here, because sheep, you also said
- 37:11Speaker 4: that you have Ault Master twenty three. I have six
- 37:13Speaker 4: of those beauties just still sealed, and uh, they could
- 37:17Speaker 4: really go to a good home versus this.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Is a guy can play that and only bought six
- 37:21Speaker 3: stacks of each each of the newest set, and he
- 37:23Speaker 3: doesn't even open his old stuff.
- 37:25Speaker 2: So no, I no, I like to taking it for sealed.
- 37:31Speaker 3: You can open VM twenty three for sealed, true, nah,
- 37:36Speaker 3: we could.
- 37:40Speaker 4: No when when there is another six sets that have
- 37:42Speaker 4: been produced since then, It's more important to just you know,
- 37:45Speaker 4: open something.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Oh, some sucker is asking one hundred and twenty bucks
- 37:49Speaker 3: for a box of unchained on the ebays.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Is he getting it?
- 37:53Speaker 1: I don't know, Probably not not yet.
- 37:56Speaker 4: We'll tell you I have boxes of woe for a Hundi.
- 37:59Speaker 4: So well, there you go to you want some boxes
- 38:02Speaker 4: of well, hundred box.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Give you sixty nothing, okay, moving forward, So that's crucial clash.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I'm interested. I kind of thought this was going to
- 38:16Speaker 1: be what we were going to be playing for Sealed
- 38:19Speaker 1: for Vault Tours next year, And the more I read
- 38:22Speaker 1: this article, the more I read that that's probably not
- 38:24Speaker 1: going to be the situation. We are going to be
- 38:27Speaker 1: playing for Pete's vision of Sealed.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah that would be Yeah, that'd be better.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't like Yeah, I could care less about
- 38:36Speaker 3: this stuff. I think I think it is. It's it
- 38:40Speaker 3: is this year's version of Menagerie or Unchained. You know,
- 38:47Speaker 3: they're they're interesting because it gives Gigi a place to
- 38:52Speaker 3: try some fun concepts that don't have to be power
- 38:56Speaker 3: balanced because it's me, you know, it doesn't matter.
- 39:00Speaker 2: But yeah, like just limited resources, like I will.
- 39:05Speaker 3: I will play this once and and then uh and
- 39:10Speaker 3: then I'll be done with it.
- 39:13Speaker 4: I like your viewpoint sheet, because this isn't I was
- 39:17Speaker 4: just saying it was a complete waste of time and money.
- 39:19Speaker 4: So that's where I was at. But you know, way
- 39:21Speaker 4: to turn into new positive.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I like that.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I mean like I'm not buying it. I have no
- 39:27Speaker 3: interest in it, but that doesn't mean I won't play
- 39:31Speaker 3: it once, just like I, you know, played Dark Tidings
- 39:35Speaker 3: the other day when I was forced to like it
- 39:38Speaker 3: can happen it's did you.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Raise your eyes and lose with our creator card?
- 39:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that would have been better than playing those games
- 39:48Speaker 3: in the end. This is this is another product that
- 39:55Speaker 3: like if key Forde was digital, I'd be all for
- 39:58Speaker 3: some of this stuff where it'd be like and they
- 40:00Speaker 3: had like Crucible Clash and no, well not unchained on
- 40:05Speaker 3: chain can go away. That was a first attempt at
- 40:08Speaker 3: an idea that wasn't well enough fleshed out. Menagerie's flying
- 40:11Speaker 3: tweak the couple of packets and in digital it's easy, right,
- 40:14Speaker 3: get rid of the stupid hass raptors and you put
- 40:17Speaker 3: in a couple others and you can like it's like
- 40:20Speaker 3: it's like the other guy onlines, like because the decks,
- 40:23Speaker 3: if the decks aren't meant to be persistent, especially like
- 40:26Speaker 3: then every you know month, they can tweak the pods
- 40:30Speaker 3: up and down a little bit to keep them fun
- 40:31Speaker 3: and then cycle through the rotation of these different things
- 40:35Speaker 3: and have that as a side thing you're doing, Like
- 40:37Speaker 3: there's core ky forge and there's the side silly shit
- 40:41Speaker 3: you can play sometimes too, but that's in a land
- 40:44Speaker 3: of digital where stuff isn't persistent and it doesn't matter.
- 40:48Speaker 3: But in this world of we only get to play
- 40:52Speaker 3: them in cardboard and then we're stuck with them forever
- 40:56Speaker 3: we do. I don't need a lot more of this.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Not anymore going back and I'm scanning all my old
- 41:01Speaker 1: decks in and then throwing them in the trash.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Why stand them in then?
- 41:08Speaker 1: Just in case ever, let's say something ever comes back,
- 41:12Speaker 1: because I never scanned all my decks back in because
- 41:15Speaker 1: I was like, that's a waste of my time.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I know half of these are not going.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Anywhere and still a waste your time. Well, just in
- 41:21Speaker 3: case you don't you don't get a digital space dollar
- 41:24Speaker 3: for them, and you don't, I mean, I guess if
- 41:27Speaker 3: you want to reprint them, if you want to be
- 41:29Speaker 3: able to reprint them and not own them.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Little little insurance just just in case.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I rescanned almost everything but Master Vault and d ok
- 41:39Speaker 2: says I have like a ten car ten deck difference.
- 41:42Speaker 2: D ok s has like ten decks. More so somewhere
- 41:44Speaker 2: there's ten decks I never scanned scammed.
- 41:48Speaker 4: So the real question is, boys, what's going to happen
- 41:50Speaker 4: when de Ok goes away?
- 41:52Speaker 2: M that would be bad? Draw Better I can't disagree
- 41:58Speaker 2: with you.
- 41:58Speaker 3: But which is also.
- 42:03Speaker 2: It's not it's not going away. That is not what we're.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Saying, chat, I mean every time, right Nova Nova, Like
- 42:18Speaker 1: there's enough there where between the folks helping score stuff
- 42:22Speaker 1: and Patreon dollars, Nova seems to be just updating things right,
- 42:28Speaker 1: but not making massive improvements right, So at least for now,
- 42:33Speaker 1: that's why we dress card to finish up draw Better
- 42:36Speaker 1: dot cards because somewhere along.
- 42:38Speaker 2: The way, dude, so I pulled I pulled down Southerly's code.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I'm reading this ship. I'm like, holy crap, there's so
- 42:44Speaker 2: much custom code in here for like stupid specific cards.
- 42:47Speaker 2: And then likely we appreciate there's no there's no easy
- 42:51Speaker 2: way to rebuild the database.
- 42:53Speaker 1: And it's like any found the love of his life
- 42:59Speaker 1: or something like yeah he's like happy or something that's weird.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Weird like come back to being miserable. Yeah, yeah, all
- 43:17Speaker 5: right that yeah clash.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Let's finish out the weekend from Kate Kate FC Well
- 43:23Speaker 1: how about the foil cards we're starting out? Yes, yes,
- 43:26Speaker 1: sorry I did forget about foil cards. That is your
- 43:30Speaker 1: damn right, that's my baby. I've only been bitching about
- 43:33Speaker 1: it for one too, like four years, three years.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Now you ain't getting paid for it, so quit asking.
- 43:40Speaker 1: I know. Well now they're coming, right, It is cool.
- 43:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't know exactly what it's a don't so
- 43:49Speaker 2: it's a retailer only exclusive. We don't exactly know what
- 43:55Speaker 2: it means. Does it mean that every card in the
- 44:01Speaker 2: deck is foiled? Does it mean one card in the deck?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Does it mean the arc on card, the rules card?
- 44:09Speaker 4: Like?
- 44:09Speaker 3: What does it mean?
- 44:09Speaker 1: Way for them to do it would be every card
- 44:12Speaker 1: of the deck would be foil. I mean that would
- 44:15Speaker 1: be pretty cool because I mean that would make the
- 44:16Speaker 1: most sense because I think they print the decks on
- 44:19Speaker 1: a sheet like all. That's not like normal where it's
- 44:22Speaker 1: like they print a bunch and then they get they
- 44:25Speaker 1: get crazy. I think they print all the decks. I
- 44:27Speaker 1: think it's like two or three decks fit on one sheet, right,
- 44:32Speaker 1: I don't remember. I don't remember what the number was.
- 44:34Speaker 1: It was stated like last year.
- 44:38Speaker 2: If we can go back and watch that video and
- 44:39Speaker 2: count and figure it out right.
- 44:41Speaker 1: And so they're printed all together, so it would make
- 44:45Speaker 1: the most set because like doing a card would be
- 44:48Speaker 1: a pain, and then you're gonna have decks missing cards
- 44:51Speaker 1: and all that stuff. So that for me, it makes
- 44:53Speaker 1: the most sense to do it all together. Just me
- 44:58Speaker 1: could be but we'll have to. I mean that'd be
- 45:01Speaker 1: I hope. So we've got a sheep on it. Since
- 45:03Speaker 1: he is in charge of a game store, he'll tell.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Us, do you know anything more sheep?
- 45:10Speaker 1: Now he doesn't even care. He's like this, this game
- 45:15Speaker 1: has cards.
- 45:18Speaker 2: I just what about foil cards? I'm excited. I am too.
- 45:21Speaker 1: I like foil cards. I've been asking for for a
- 45:24Speaker 1: long time.
- 45:25Speaker 4: Sorry, foil card. You only get one card cards, so
- 45:31Speaker 4: possible card we don't know?
- 45:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 45:34Speaker 2: Is it singular or is it plural?
- 45:38Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 45:39Speaker 4: I okay, I gotta go back, but I'm pretty sure.
- 45:45Speaker 2: It was singular.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Well, because we all know Gigi is known for their
- 45:50Speaker 1: great I mean, they have anything, they got my great
- 45:54Speaker 1: grammar skills, skull, you know, anything's possible. Need I remind
- 46:02Speaker 1: you of the article last week that had a card
- 46:04Speaker 1: up that had five different cards all in.
- 46:06Speaker 2: One total total bonkers town.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Well I'm in true ac fashion and I'm going with card.
- 46:19Speaker 2: I'm sticking with it. Well, it'll be your haptist raptors there.
- 46:23Speaker 2: You got to them. Here's my donation. That sounds about right.
- 46:29Speaker 1: It'll be you didn't even swear, you have to swear,
- 46:31Speaker 1: don't Yeah, you don't even swear.
- 46:33Speaker 2: You just got to let it out. You don't get
- 46:35Speaker 2: to take your money back, take my head in my head.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Swears don't count. That swears do not count. All right,
- 46:46Speaker 1: final day of KFC, and I think we should actually
- 46:51Speaker 1: rate them. Big thing we did the Tide.
- 46:54Speaker 4: We're getting the Tide card that is going to go ahead,
- 46:57Speaker 4: and well they're saying the rules card is what's going
- 47:00Speaker 4: to go ahead and be foiled tied card.
- 47:04Speaker 1: If it's the rules card, I'm just going full time
- 47:07Speaker 1: to altered. I'm done, Like, yeah, we finally made foiled
- 47:12Speaker 1: cards and it's the rules card. I'd be like, you
- 47:15Speaker 1: know what, fuck you, here's here's my dollar, here's your
- 47:19Speaker 1: key forge you have a great day. Maybe that's what
- 47:23Speaker 1: they're gonna do because they're like, oh, we finally found
- 47:25Speaker 1: a way to get rid of Wookie ship. Let's do it,
- 47:28Speaker 1: all right. So the Creator cards. We didn't talk a
- 47:30Speaker 1: lot about the Creator cards, but the Creator cards were
- 47:32Speaker 1: a big hit all weekend. I was constantly harassed for ours,
- 47:37Speaker 1: and I was constantly out of ours. I guess I
- 47:42Speaker 1: just gave away too many in the beginning. And then
- 47:46Speaker 1: I actually don't have one of our own creator cards.
- 47:49Speaker 2: You do anyway?
- 47:50Speaker 3: What?
- 47:50Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 47:51Speaker 2: Because You're like, here, hold this for me. I was like, okay, yeah,
- 47:55Speaker 2: I did. You got mine and I was like, there's
- 47:57Speaker 2: no way you're ever getting this now.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Well, yeah, you gave it to me at the hotel
- 48:01Speaker 1: and I'm like, I have I have no bag on me,
- 48:04Speaker 1: know nothing, You're just handing it to me. Think.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I mean, I was excited. They weren't cool, So it's
- 48:11Speaker 2: pretty cool. I guess we should talk about our card
- 48:14Speaker 2: a little bit. I'm gonna say we can reveal our card.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I gotta go find our conversation with dead Sink. I
- 48:19Speaker 2: got it here. So it's a The Arcons Corner Creator card,
- 48:24Speaker 2: so podcast web app. So the art is awesome. It's
- 48:27Speaker 2: a bar of course, happy hour last four to six weeks.
- 48:32Speaker 2: It says on the sign, uh the there's a swear job.
- 48:36Speaker 1: The hour is four to six pm.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Is that PM not w K. That's it's hard to say. Sure,
- 48:43Speaker 2: four to six, And then there's a swear jar full November.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Uh and uh, there's a bottle of alert over in
- 48:50Speaker 2: the corner. It's a good it's a good time the U.
- 48:55Speaker 2: And then it says, because you know, we gotta we
- 48:59Speaker 2: gotta lift our ac life, we got to make something,
- 49:03Speaker 2: you know, pretty strong. So once perturn, the active player says,
- 49:07Speaker 2: this is why I suck at KeyForge, they lose one umber.
- 49:11Speaker 2: If they do they draw three cards, so that seems strong.
- 49:16Speaker 2: But then you know, it just gets better from there.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Right after an action card is played, destroy a creature
- 49:22Speaker 2: with exactly six power because you know, gotta kill Brile.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, then of course, because you know, for all
- 49:31Speaker 2: you DT best set folks out there, after a player
- 49:35Speaker 2: raises the tide, they lose the game, which just makes
- 49:43Speaker 2: me laugh so much. Then, of course, because we have
- 49:47Speaker 2: great math skills, you have one hundred and forty one
- 49:50Speaker 2: point sixty seven chance of winning. Is the flavor text,
- 49:53Speaker 2: so pretty uh.
- 49:56Speaker 1: One person has messaged me and understood the reference, and
- 50:01Speaker 1: I love it. It's my It's one of my favorite,
- 50:04Speaker 1: like Little Cup Secrets at the bottom one person. It's
- 50:08Speaker 1: a Gigi's staff member, and that was the greatest flavor
- 50:12Speaker 1: text of all time, and even stated.
- 50:14Speaker 2: What it was. I had to ask you myself.
- 50:18Speaker 1: It is a from the greatest wrestling promo of all time.
- 50:23Speaker 1: If you all want to go watch it. It's a
- 50:24Speaker 1: promo called Steiner Math from TNA, and that's it's It's fantastic.
- 50:31Speaker 1: It's the greatest thing ever. It made sense because we're
- 50:34Speaker 1: terrible with math, and we just make things up, and
- 50:37Speaker 1: that's what that whole promo was. It was just a
- 50:40Speaker 1: bunch of made up, fucking numbers because if you actually
- 50:44Speaker 1: do if you actually do the Steiner Math, none of
- 50:47Speaker 1: it's correct. So therefore a little more easter Egg.
- 50:51Speaker 2: In there for you.
- 50:55Speaker 1: So I think we should rate all the creator cards.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I don't know if they're all in one place where
- 50:59Speaker 1: we could them. I think we can six. Definitely a
- 51:03Speaker 1: six and no bias there or nothing.
- 51:06Speaker 3: No Riku just posted pictures of them and probably HF
- 51:13Speaker 3: F S.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Okay, well we can grab that. Somebody grabbed that picture
- 51:17Speaker 1: and then we can we can do the one through six.
- 51:19Speaker 1: That could be fun. I have them all or you
- 51:24Speaker 1: have them all, and you could take a picture of them.
- 51:26Speaker 2: We could do the same. But yes, Sunday I was
- 51:29Speaker 2: on top of this shit. I don't know what you
- 51:31Speaker 2: guys were doing.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Really were Sunday, Let's get day. We had ARCon Worlds
- 51:37Speaker 1: the Arkon open all right.
- 51:39Speaker 4: So if I did that correctly, I just posted them
- 51:43Speaker 4: all for ac live show notes.
- 51:46Speaker 2: It bounced me for a bit, but that should be all.
- 51:49Speaker 4: Ten of them that you can go ahead and see
- 51:53Speaker 4: for all those following along.
- 51:56Speaker 1: And I don't know who they got to do the art.
- 51:57Speaker 1: If that's AI art, that that's pretty on point. I
- 52:04Speaker 1: think I think it is. Well, I think it's a mix.
- 52:07Speaker 1: So I feel like a bunch of it's AI. I
- 52:12Speaker 1: feel like.
- 52:17Speaker 2: On the wark cast they said that that was uh.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I think it was Tobin's daughter that did it. Is
- 52:22Speaker 2: what I have floating in my head. Not harmisent Sure
- 52:25Speaker 2: that's correct, But yeah, so I think it's it's a mix.
- 52:31Speaker 2: All right.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Well, well we'll figure all that out later. But we
- 52:37Speaker 1: still got a whole Sunday to go through. So let's see.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Arcan World's winner would be Bamboo, right, yes, okay, Castro
- 52:49Speaker 1: pronounce the deck? Oh lord, I gotta open it. Nope,
- 52:54Speaker 1: not not even trying that one.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Come on, come on, luckie.
- 52:59Speaker 1: Being the uh.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Well done, that was so sore.
- 53:05Speaker 1: Now now all of Vietnam hates us.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Thanks case.
- 53:08Speaker 1: And then I believe the Art Open winner was Riku. Yes,
- 53:13Speaker 1: so it was Vietnam forge for our for true as
- 53:18Speaker 1: she calls it, true key forge. Yeah, a love story.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Yeah our ur kind of being gr which we had
- 53:28Speaker 4: seen as a beast all year long. Uh. Interestingly, Riku
- 53:34Speaker 4: did take Amber Skies to go ahead and take down
- 53:38Speaker 4: the open. Yep, what do you guys think about their
- 53:43Speaker 4: two winners?
- 53:44Speaker 2: Surprised?
- 53:45Speaker 1: I think the Vietnam. I think I need all my
- 53:47Speaker 1: decks to come from the Vietnam case that.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Is accurate.
- 53:54Speaker 1: Because that that was not like any umber skys neck
- 53:57Speaker 1: I have opened and or seen that exists.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that Ember Scott, So I had to
- 54:03Speaker 2: play it twice in the open. This is the only
- 54:06Speaker 2: deck I lost to in the main round and the
- 54:08Speaker 2: only deck I lost to, and I guess the top
- 54:10Speaker 2: top four I lost to this.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Yeah, talk talk to us a little bit about what
- 54:14Speaker 4: what did you run into that presented some problems?
- 54:17Speaker 2: So it it makes Ember better than DK would would
- 54:24Speaker 2: make you think. And it is then it's oppressive nineteen
- 54:30Speaker 2: twelve printed expect Us nineteen which is fine, right, but
- 54:34Speaker 2: it makes it it pushes and the disruption is oppressive. Right.
- 54:41Speaker 2: So it's got double suspend amanders, doble suspend amander, the
- 54:46Speaker 2: vapor imp, it's got the snudge, it's got the corner
- 54:50Speaker 2: of the market, so with the talent scout with a
- 54:55Speaker 2: double hoist operation, so there's just a ton of of
- 55:02Speaker 2: ways to just mess with you, uh, pretty regularly. Then
- 55:07Speaker 2: it's got the imperium charge and the Titan century, so
- 55:10Speaker 2: you gotta be really careful with what you're archiving. And
- 55:15Speaker 2: uh it it is like this deck is. It's got
- 55:20Speaker 2: the drumble it like it is. It is pretty pretty
- 55:23Speaker 2: oppressive to to play against. And I uh and I
- 55:27Speaker 2: lost both times. The it's got the arise YEA I
- 55:30Speaker 2: was going to say was jumping out.
- 55:32Speaker 4: So the drumble dust and Monsquito Terreene, snudge, double suspend
- 55:38Speaker 4: there and vapor am coming off with that arise so decent.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Yeah, plus the uh the skipper hooko is also got
- 55:46Speaker 2: the dis icon on it, which is pretty solid. And yeah,
- 55:53Speaker 2: so that arise just brings back a flood of stuff, right,
- 55:58Speaker 2: and it's got the Fiendish Apprentice, which gives three damage
- 56:02Speaker 2: for eat your disc creatures, so you just deal a
- 56:04Speaker 2: ton of damage for that. It's got the cauterized Vitality
- 56:06Speaker 2: and just take care of any problem artifact has, yep.
- 56:12Speaker 1: It does.
- 56:12Speaker 2: It's got a board wipe in de escalation. That Phoenix
- 56:17Speaker 2: Apprentice is like a quasi board wipe honestly, and uh
- 56:22Speaker 2: it it yeah, it just it can create lots of
- 56:26Speaker 2: pressure and lots of ways to mess with you, lots
- 56:32Speaker 2: of to take you off.
- 56:34Speaker 4: So the logo is not being yeah logos not being
- 56:37Speaker 4: a super house, but Titan century being there.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Connective transfer pretty good. It's got the quantum compass right
- 56:46Speaker 2: and desk.
- 56:48Speaker 1: It's got the compass.
- 56:50Speaker 2: The connectum transfer right.
- 56:53Speaker 1: It does have ponder which does have a scrap to
- 56:56Speaker 1: drug card, which you know it it has some stuff.
- 57:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it has some stuff, but I think the logo
- 57:03Speaker 2: so yeah, it's it's yeah, this this is a pretty
- 57:12Speaker 2: pretty solid deck and Riku is just piloting it masterfully, right,
- 57:16Speaker 2: so you know he's not he's not making mistakes. So
- 57:20Speaker 2: you got a you got small windows to try to
- 57:23Speaker 2: play into. It's got the sandworm also, I don't think
- 57:27Speaker 2: I mentioned that with the double Hoyst as well. So
- 57:31Speaker 2: it just makes ember and.
- 57:34Speaker 1: And puts you in a spot where you also has
- 57:37Speaker 1: a street of sixteen.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty good. Who won? We don't have I
- 57:45Speaker 2: think the control is there? No, we did not sheep
- 57:51Speaker 2: and LOOKI did you guys end up facing bamboo? For
- 57:54Speaker 2: I do not have to know? Okay, so it's gott
- 58:03Speaker 2: sleeping again.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I'm here.
- 58:08Speaker 2: There we go. I'm here, guys, don't worry about me.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Did you face bamboo? Did you play Bamboo's dead? Now?
- 58:13Speaker 3: I did not?
- 58:14Speaker 2: Okay? So well a memory, right, that's a standout great card.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Uh double junk restoration here somewhere. It's got the ecdo
- 58:25Speaker 2: charge with the boo. It does not have winds of
- 58:29Speaker 2: death or key abduction, but doesn't it Uh yeah, I
- 58:37Speaker 2: would call this Mars lineup. The Mars line up is
- 58:40Speaker 2: pretty solid, but it's not. It's not typically what you'd
- 58:43Speaker 2: say is crazy.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 58:44Speaker 2: It doesn't have rebel. It does have a doctor with
- 58:47Speaker 2: a Mars first. It does have a target war the
- 58:53Speaker 2: world is nice, but it's not what I would call outrageous.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Right, It's only an eight five with a nine to
- 59:05Speaker 1: nine speed. But it does have that card we all
- 59:09Speaker 1: talk about, Blossom Drake well of memory. Yeah, Blossom Blossom.
- 59:18Speaker 1: You know that problem card, Blossom Drake.
- 59:22Speaker 2: I mean your deck, right, like, like, yeah, she's got
- 59:27Speaker 2: what well of memory and plow swords. She doesn't care
- 59:29Speaker 2: about the plow sword memory. Yes, obviously memory obviously want
- 59:34Speaker 2: to trigger the wall memory. But Blossom Drake is a
- 59:38Speaker 2: pretty good counter to your opponent's artifacts until you can
- 59:41Speaker 2: get your reclaimed by nature or your glimmer spore. So
- 59:44Speaker 2: there's lots of artifact hate in this deck.
- 59:48Speaker 1: It's got a reclaimed as well. I don't know if
- 59:50Speaker 1: you said reclaim, but if you did, yes, it has
- 59:52Speaker 1: a reclaimed.
- 59:55Speaker 2: And it's got jersey so you can save something for
- 59:58Speaker 2: later when you need right. So it's got double junk
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: in here somewhere. That's pretty good. The only dead card
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: in MYRS, I would say, is probably the over clock
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: Shock Collar. I mean, it doesn't have any of the
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: crazy stuff you would want to see in MYRS, but
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: it has enough to get her done. I mean it
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: doesn't have a Myers. First to do the zixel fricks.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: You can do the sixel fricks target YadA, YadA, and
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: then the untamed is kind of to be honest, with
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: the underwhelming, there's not one it's got invigorating shower.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: Till the earth blossom. Drake Jersey is a good card,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: but he's got to be able to reap two Warfelin's awesome, which.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: You can scrap it and then use regrowth for it.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: I mean, there there are some different lines invigorating shower
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: in order to be able to bring back that Geistoite
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: is another option too. But I know that a number
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: of people had actually talked about this deck as being
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Alliance worthy from its construction, and so looking at it,
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: it does not immediately jump out as that. But looking
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: at turn two in three, it pretty consistently shut down
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: a lot of major decks, and so it was a
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: very interesting build.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I didn't watch it, but I think I think I
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: already see the card that causes a lot of trouble.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Which one's that it's.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: More trouble than you would think of would the fucking
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: void proverbs m making people should cost plus three does
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: throw a wrench into a lot of people's game plans.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, but the only way to trigger on
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: play is the Mars first.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: You don't trigger it out of play. It's a four power, right,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: it's either you're going to trade with me, because nobody's
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: playing Brobnar. Let's just be honest. Nobody's playing Reminders Brabner
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: except for Pirate, and he finished top eight, but he
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: was the only one I was seeing playing Brobner. I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: don't think they ever had to come to blows.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: I mean, doctor Zi indivoid can come in ready and
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: and reap something like there's some options.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: There's options there, but like void prober causes more issues,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and I need to give him more solid.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: He's solid.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I need to give it more respect than what it
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: is because and not only that, he's flexible.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: And you do have both Snippy and I'll be astray
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: to handle brio. Right, So that's that's important, except when
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: it's behind double type.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: I don't right, So I don't know how much brio
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: we saw. No, I don't think you saw literally almost
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: any brio in the Yeah, I mean it was a
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: top eight.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: She's pretty good, Top eight worlds.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: She made top eight.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Well that is, you know, we could definitely sneeze it.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: That all right, let's see, I gotta go back over
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: to here. Our cut ar cut ARCon I'm looking for Alliance.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Uh DeMott was your Alliance champion? Aviator was the runner up?
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Was he playing frog Legs deck?
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Playing frog Legs Deck?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Was it?
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: Was?
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: It?
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Okay? But the by the way, frog Legs in chat
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: right now has updated his icon to Prince Buffa, which.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Is not as he as I would expect. Not because
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: he he might be my next I have all of
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: my narps. Prince might be my next uh maverick that
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I collect.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Mm hmm, there you go. I think you should do it.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Because I like for they Look at that guy we're
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: in a crown smoking a pipe in his little bath,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: in his little bathroom, it's great.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: I think you should get put the a c shreder
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: belt on him and may get your icon.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Oh maybe Alliance open h was your champion with your
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: runner up of snack. So congrants to everybody there while
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: everyone was busy competing, uh the all the other crummy
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: players we did the podcasters, the podcaster panel, you had
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: us help your future self, sloppy lab work, rule of
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: six and warcraft reforged all there. I believe it's on
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the in their little video which I'm not a part of.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Every other person in this podcast is a part of it,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: except for the rookie would.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: You like sitting at the back at the time or something?
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: What did you want to go ahead and actually like
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: shout out to the keeps who made Alliance in sealed
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: or no, I mean you've got our champs, So yes, yes,
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: I got the chance. Yeah, it looked like Aviator was
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: running redemption untamed in diss from uh talk.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: So I see, yes, Actually this is interesting. So that
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: was GI was winners gr then there's a talk runner up.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Top four was gr GR, eight was gr g r
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: gr GR. So Alliance was a ton World Champs was
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: a ton of.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: Gr buy more gr.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so let's see so arcan worlds was g R
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: gr gr talk talk Coda, that's doctor sheep gr GR
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: So uh lots uh Now actually did they say for
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: open hold on, let's see open? I bet you it's
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: a little more diverse because people are trying different stuff.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: So uh amber amber Sky's was RIKU right, gr gr
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: amber Sky's that's me was talk uh amber Sky's four
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: and gr So the the open was a little more diverse.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: I think folks were more willing to try something new
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: like that. That's what I did right. I used Professor
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: thround the Spirited Deuce instead of uh Aria Pylon Genius,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: which I've been using basically all season, because I was like, hey,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: it's the open, I'll do a little more untested. Also,
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: I just bought it and like all of.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Alliance was grim reminders except for Aviator, who was tough.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Yep, all right, so Alliance open. Let's see AOA g
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: r gr gr amber Sky's DT its bott or not? Okay,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: Actually I don't think I talked to bottlenow I see
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: him online. Oh I should have said, figure out who
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: that was? And another DAVEC had worlds collide and then AOA.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: So yep, yeah, all right, I need to say. I mean,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: you guys can go. I think worcast Reforge has all
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: of the podcasters panel we did recorded and out there,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: so if you want to listen to that, you can
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: go go to them listen to the whole thing.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: I will say, shout out to all of our fellow
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: podcasters who are there so help from future self, Sloppy
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: lab Work, Rule of six and war caast re Forge.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: It was great to be able to spend time with
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: you and everyone who showed up. That room was packed
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: I know, Wookie, you were a little skeptical, but we
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: had people showing up early and was crazy Sydney.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: Forced for Sydney didn't outfloorce people. I went in and
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: there are plenty who are already there all right.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Listening to it doesn't give me the visual effect of
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: Wookie falling asleep and he walking. I got him.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: He did not fall asleep. They were just beating me
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: because they wanted to, so very targeted. Because I'm They're like,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: not falling asleep. I'm like, I'm not fucking sleeping.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: He was sleeping. Let me tell you he was sleeping.
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: The snoring tells otherwise, all right. So so at one
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: point she leads over to me and he's like, I
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: should be playing TCO right now, TCO right now. You
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: also know how to cast unless he's playing TCO at
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: the same time.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: That's what takes so long. Sometimes you got to finish
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: his turn. But you can go listen to that. You
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: can't see the person on my left and right just
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: brutally beating me for no reason. But I was getting
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: beat Ah are the events we held the first ever
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Shredder World Championships, which was won by the Monkey and
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: for those of you wondering, Yes, Shredder is it does
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: have more of a rules set than what we did
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: for the championships. We just decided to have a little
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: fun and make the two top people just shred one
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: deck and whoever whoever finished first.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: One Yeah, I mean so tear cards. Yeah, we were
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: so weird with rock and roll.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: Yeah, we had two people who finished three and oh
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: and we had them with a fresh deck. See who
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: could tear fastest? And that is a great way to
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: be able to crown our Shredder World champion.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: I love it. So who tears fast and who tears slow?
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: What did we learn?
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Well?
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: Did you find okay?
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: So we should we should stay Who the finals was
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: between because they'd go three finalists?
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Was then the monkey and I'm not sure who was
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: the other? Who was the other one? Jovi and we
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: we basically sat up. They did not know how it
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: was going to go.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: We don't think it.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Anyone knew, like true fashion.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: What we knew we did right before and we set
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: them down and we said, all rights, here's a fresh
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: deck first person.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: When we were at the bar midnight, this is a
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: good idea.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: And then we put it in a practice I love it,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: and we're like, whoever shreds first wins and they shredded
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Ben shred fastest and went home with a nice belt.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: Well there was I will say there was a little
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: choice from Joe Jovie went where the whole deck or
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: most of it to start with, and that just slowed
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: them up just a pinch.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Uh So this slight replay.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Ben was just going, here's a couple of cards, two,
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: three at a time, and that was the difference. But
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: I really I think I won overall boys and girls
- 1:10:44Speaker 4: because I had everybody take our shredder cards and you
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: guys said it was going to be horrible, but I said,
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: don't listen to you. No, it was great. We went
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: to had and tossed up all of those cards and
- 1:10:57Speaker 4: had it rained down confetti style and I dove under
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: it and it was the best part of KFC.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: And Dad Sink got some amazing photos of it too,
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: so yeah, it was sweet.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: If you'd like to see those, you can go over
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: to our TikTok. It's our most recent TikTok. I have
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: some of the pictures from it over there. And then
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: one other talk yep, we have a TikTok should do
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: You should go watch the second most recent one. That's
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: pretty good. The only I know we had some commander
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: going on. Kagi was a thing that happened. I don't
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: really know how any of those events went.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: It seemed like people had a good time. Like so,
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: I thought the community events were like a really cool idea.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Somebody's mentioning actually in our chat in the live show
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: tonight that like, oh they thought maybe there would be
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: menagerie or whatever going on like at the vaults, but
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: there wasn't. I think just having so many different folks
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: in the community running so many different events like that
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: was the great like awesome thing to do for for KFC,
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: And I think, uh, it was cool. People are having
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: a great time with participation in those things, and uh
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: you know they were a hit. Yeah, Stormstrongs who took
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: down Kagi shut out?
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: What's kagy?
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: That's why I put it in so at least someone
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: would get.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: A shut out.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's all you do, dt ao A only.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: I tell you why. Nothing in dt was ever part
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: of Garfield's original dream.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: So then we go to the meet that is that
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: meet the ghosts or meet you had meet the guests
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: in here at one point is why.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: You did that? Yeah, so I just type things. You
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: just type things, all right. I typed all this on
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: my phone and then pasted it.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: On the You were turning into me and like, forgot
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: how to spell? I mean, I don't know to spell.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Spelling is not really a thing that's important.
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: It's it's like a parlor as you live on a
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: throne of lies.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Why do you need to spell? You don't need to
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: spell anything anymore.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: I agree because in high school I heard a great
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: story from a veteran who came in who talked about
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: going ahead and uh, just a little misunderstanding from spelling
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: really had two very very different meanings for the word.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: We'll just leave it at.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: That, all right. Maybe one day we'll have a hot
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: cocoa session where we all get together and drink warm
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: drinks and ewok and tell us like spelling is important stories.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: But okay, so the only one to attend meet the
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: ghosts because the rest of us went home.
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was a good choice.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Yes, I believe after reading this we made our choices correctly.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, you were asleep within ten minutes of being
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: in my car.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Yes, yes, for the fifteenth time. Yes, I fell asleep.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Uh huh, you.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Fall asleep everywhere.
- 1:14:27Speaker 4: Just yeah, that's right, cheap we got just like.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: In a panel, Just like fall asleep in the panel,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: but in your car. Yeah, I fell asleep ten minutes in.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: It might have been ten minutes in, very much might
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: have been. But they talked about straddle flight because I'm
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: sure somebody asked where it went. It was a second
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: battle line. It was too hard to balance. Experiments didn't
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: work out competitively. Yep, crucible cast any plans, it's something
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: that a lot of people have been asking for. Would
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: would have to be sustainable. Team, very small, hard to
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: prioritize maybe in the future, but might need growth.
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: So guys, do you see whenever there's something that might
- 1:15:10Speaker 4: have any amount of difficulty, we just say the team's
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: too small. But we're producing a bajillion and a half
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: sets anyway.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm done. That's that's my box.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: You gotta remember a bajillion of those bajillion and a
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: half sets aren't tested, so it doesn't matter.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Just remember, help put them into things that people want instead. Like,
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: it's just it's odd.
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: It's odd that we say here here's four to six weeks,
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: or hey, we can't do this, but then other things
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: we are doing in the background, and like people aren't
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: looking for that. No, we don't need another three sets
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: that aren't tested, or this set that doesn't have any
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: impact on ability to play it after a sealed event.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: That's here, Like, no, I don't.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Know if you are looking for.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: If we're a small if we're a small team, then
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: make it manageable, make it meaningful, but don't use it
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: as an excuse, because that's what I keep seeing is
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: an excuse.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: But why do we need one? Like what are people
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: hoping to gain from the crucible cast that they aren't communication?
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: Communication that frankly right now isn't consistent.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: And it's like just to be like, hey, guys are
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: still alive, We're still testing.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Hey guys, we're coming out with another set that we
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: didn't We're.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Still testing prophetic visions and tests are going good. I mean,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: how long before we get I mean.
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: There's plenty of ways to do it to generate excitement,
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Like we're play testing. Oh, let's look at this one car, you.
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: Know, Like, and I think that's what people are looking at,
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: is that in the past we used to go ahead,
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: we'd look at a few cars, oh, some excitement, some teasers,
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: and gone.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: The last several have been changed.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: I can't disagree with you, sheep, I can't, but still
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: you get people buzzing about it. I don't know clearly.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: What they said was was that their team is small,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: it's hard to prioritize, so like they don't think that
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: this is as important as other things. That's basically what
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: they said.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: Since you're stealing our ideas anyway, why don't you send
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: it some of the content to the some of the
- 1:17:19Speaker 4: content creators who are frankly are already creating content for you,
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: and you could go ahead and then post it on
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: your own individual website and we could go through the
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: cards and talk about them, because we already have fan
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: bases and viewership and people who are interested in and
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: could give you some.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Feedback on that.
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Uh, you don't even need the setup because guess what,
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: we already have that. But just just an idea, just
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: to throw it out there.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Man, he walks on fire today. I don't know who
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: lit a I don't know who lit a fire under
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: his ass, but good.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: Job, Happy Thanksgiving?
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Thanksgiving? What is idmm?
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: You know, I was just trying to figure out what
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: the hell that is.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I'm guessing it's more mass mutations, but I like, but
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: if you.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Look at I'm not sure that's what is that an.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: I think it's an I D and I don't need
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: I no, no, I don't need more mass mutation.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know what I was trying
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: to say.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: But then they're gonna look at results consider along with
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: a RATTA an Alliance ban list plea for.
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: And then somebody was removal. Yeah, so removing, oh, missile
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Officer Myers. So this is interdimensional rescue I think, and
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: Missile Officer Myers. That's what it is, so it should
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: be I D R. Yes, And they're like, can't you
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: just change the rules so it's not infinite? I think
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: that's what it it was. And they said, hey, we're
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: gonna look at results. We're gonna consider a rat.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Did fuck all?
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And they're like, we can't you just fix You're welcome,
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: but a condo that did absolutely nothing during the entire
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Vault Tour season, Like it was like, hey, this might
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: be a thing in the beginning of the season, and
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: then it did piss off like it did nothing. You
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: did not see an interdimensional rescue, missile offs or myers.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: I don't know if that's one hundred percent true, but
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: but to me, the bigger problem is just the watch
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: to watch me play? Right, Like don't that.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Watch me play? Like whoever gets watched me?
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's there's bad stuff in there. This they could
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: fix with just a rule fix, but at least think better.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: It just just shuffled around cards except make you watch them.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Well okay, but like it didn't do anything.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: Which is the worst thing you just got. That's worse
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: than strong things.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Is it?
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't think it really matters. I
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: nerve somebody wanted to switch. Who's who is this?
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Yeah? They're my new favorite person.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: Uh you know that's a good question. I don't actually
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: remember who this was, but yeah it was not. I
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: did not say this, but somebody did, and I knew
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: you would be happy. And the answer is don't hold
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: your breath. Yeah, piss off.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Anyways, I don't understand why bait and switch is still
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: nerve the way it is.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: There's no incentive for them to go back to f
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: FG stuff and change it, So why does it matter
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: when we have redline rotation. That's right there. Now, Like,
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: I just don't understand.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: Why does we have a card now that basically does
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: the same thing ish, But I'm saying, like.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Yeah, so doesn't it just just play it with how
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: it's worded. It doesn't matter anymore. It shouldn't be nerved done. Yeah,
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: should I'm arguing for you. I'm not arguing for you.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Sheet for you. Wim Key Forge I P. I'm guessing
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: this is for the RPG game. Yeah, Edge studio.
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Somebody asked if we were going to still see
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: anything else, but yeah, the Edge Studio holds the rights,
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: so they can't do anything until that expires.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: There you go up, go ahead, go ahead, you walk,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: go ahead, and highlight the whole thing. Aaron is Discovery
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: marketing plan.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: This was marketing plan. I was like, can you please
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: describe to us the marketing plan for Discovery because we're
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: excited to engage new members of the community. One lie,
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: I'm excited to try to engage if there's a marketing
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: I want, I want to work store contact.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: You saw it, you saw the marketing for it. It's
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: already done.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Well. Yeah, so so this is why I was poking
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: at it was like, we need marketing be yep, how
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: did that turn out for you? Well, I mean they said, well,
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: we contact stores, we communicated events. They're gonna they have kids,
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: a target, new players pathway and a path to play
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: and grow community. Four to six weeks to announce joke
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: and then they have said the joke. Who is the
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: who said the four to six weeks? So they said,
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: we won't say four to six weeks. They said, but
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: but who was it?
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Was it Jeremy? My money is on Jeremy? I think
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I think it was Jeremy, my money is on Germany?
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: And then I think then CTP said something effect yeah,
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: we can't say that. You can't say no, not allowed
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: to So then growth goals.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna guess there was a good contingent
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: of players from Taiwan there and they want a vault.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I can't see why they wouldn't, But possible publishing partners
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: preferred financial responsibility for those who will assist.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: So yeah, so basically, yeah, the international partner is the
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: one that puts on the vault and is the one
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: who takes basically all the financial risk. So it's not
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: about is Gigi doing it or not. It's about having
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: a partner willing to pay for it. That's basically what
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: they said.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: Sounds like par for the course accolades and print on
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: demand expansions and templating.
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: Yeah, so we had talked a little bit about this
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: last time. Lookie, this is the accolades that are going
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: on the decks for reprinting for accomplishment and how they
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: had already tried to expand potentially to top eights and
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: there was discussion of that already.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: That's all.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Okay, let's see is a set is set house concentration
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: of problem and what do you do?
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so somebody's like, I get more of a house
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: out a box and they're like, well, we're paying attention
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: a right, you know. Uh okay, I don't know.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: This is another one of those things where the brain
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: tries to recognize patterns and it's not real.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Yeah, is that I'm not even sure that's what now.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember what this question is.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: I get that, but when you start to see the
- 1:24:24Speaker 4: same rears in individual houses.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Your brain tries to make things and it's not real.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: I understand.
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: You can go ahead and tell me that all the time,
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: but when I'm pulling from three individual decks and I've
- 1:24:37Speaker 4: never seen this rare, and all of a sudden, there
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: are three in a row in the same box. That
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: seems really suspicious to me because it's a lot easier
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: for my printer to go ahead and print off that
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: same rear while in sequence. You can tell me all
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: that you want, But when I show a higher amount three,
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: four or five times in this box and I've never
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: seen it, I got issues with that.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I can't tell you you're wrong because I I recognize
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: the same patterns as well, but I'm told I'm just crazy.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: So I just go back to my corner.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: Accolades for store or online leagues could add more, but
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: don't want to add to everything.
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, So basically, like I actually thought this was a
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: cool idea, like, hey, let us run like a league
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: tournament or store champs and upload a logo where it's like, hey,
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: this deck won that or whatever. And they they, they said,
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: we might be able to do a little more that
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: we're doing right now, but we don't want to just
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: like open it to the world of you know, you
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: could just put anything on a deck. I want to
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: put anything on a deck. Yeah, I because it becomes
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: less meaningful.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: Because have you seen some of the names people have
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: snucked in on the naming algorithm. That's why you are responsible.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: I am not responsible.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we have nothing to do with that. By the way,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I just want to let everybody know that it's definitely
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: not us bad people to you guys who put it in.
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: The always entertainers.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: We're entertaining people.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Store champs more often?
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: Yeah, twice a year to match with the different sets,
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: individual sets, And the answer.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Was nope, that's right. So instaid they want to do
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: more Martian Civil War type things, maybe even do stuff
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: like that more often, but they want to do store
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: champs once. So which if they did multiple Martian Civil
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: War type things in a year, I would actually like
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: that more than a store champ personally. So now well
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: they actually do that, I don't know, but.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: That that's what they were saying there. Preference was, can't
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: talk about kits right now. I'm guessing this is for
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: local op yep, local.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, can you talk about kids, Nope, can't talk
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: about kids.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: Okay, they can't talk about it because they don't have one.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: They have no idea what to do for local op.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: They have no idea how to distribute it. That the
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: effect for local op is that they don't know. Suck
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: it up, Buttercup, do it yourselves because it costs them
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: zero dollars for you to do the work. That about
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: sum that up. They also don't make as much money,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: so I don't think that. Yes, they've got all their
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: eggs in this damn Game Found thing. Yeah, that's where
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: all their eggs are. Twice a year they do a
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Game Found. So CTP could buy another boat.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: I don't think he's buying boats off this dude.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: Well, I mean, where are we at right now?
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: Or boats are expensive and I don't think, Hey, Ford
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: is that problem?
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: Maybe he's well, it's just a boat, like maybe it's
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: just a bass boat. Maybe he's a big fisher.
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: Who knows. I think it's it's like one of those
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: plastic boats you put in your bathtub.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: Right, Steve Scoob, Steve goob with Steve all right, So
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: again they don't have any kits. So again local op
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: is problem. Don't expect it in twenty twenty five.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: See this is my problem.
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: Like when we were talking earlier about Game Found, part
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: of me is excited. I want to be able to
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: have some investment. I want to be able to get
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: some decks, and then.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: You see.
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: You see this for local OP and it's just absolutely depressing,
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: and it's like, well, why why why don't I go
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: play the game in the area.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Your OP experience is with your local OP.
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and I love my local OPE, and I still
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: I think the game is absolutely phenomenal. I just want
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: more from it. I think that the community is frankly
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: putting on amazing activities and amazing events to go with it,
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: just not seeing Gigi care as much about it. And
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: that's from the prizes that we're there for worlds, which
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: were absolutely pathetic to what we saw this year. But
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: you didn't have that big of a loss. And I
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: think it's because the community itself is absolutely amazing.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: No, I wish it.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Was because we throw giant parties because we can all
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: have fun. Right.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: It is a great community. It is a great community.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Because the community is doing a majority of the work. Now,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: if we didn't have a Giant party where we all
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: got together at the end and kind of just hung
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: out and played games and maybe shared a beverage or sixteen,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I don't know, if you're having the same amount of fun,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: and maybe people go, maybe this wasn't worth it, Maybe
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: all this money, time and effort wasn't worth what I
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: go to next year. But the fact is, yes, the
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: community is holding this damn thing together. Like if it
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: wasn't for that party. I don't know. Maybe I go
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: to worlds, Maybe I don't, but I know I think
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: I got to party with Dan and drafscrps, got to
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: have a few drinks with people that I never met before,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: talked to a whole bunch of people that I've never
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: talked to before like that. I'm telling you right now.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: It is those to watch Sheep Suplex Sydney. I didn't
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: get to watch that. I'm very anyone has video, please
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: send it to me. Such a good time because I
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: got suckered into manning the table.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: Ah he got shot of alert. Yeah, and all I
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: got was crummi alart. But it's not bad after like
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: the sixth or seventh one, but that's you're used to it.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: I think you should have a shirt for next year.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: And all I got was this allart.
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: That's probably true. And then I got money taken away
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: by who was it snack? Somebody stuck money in my pants,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: and then Sydney, Sydney stole it from me.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: Hey, hey, just because Ghostbuster girls showed up and gave
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: you money again, does not.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: I think it was snack. I think snack stuff money.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: And he stuck a twenty into my drawers.
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: No, I understand it was snack, and we'll give credit
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: for this, but I'm still going.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: With And then and then Sydney took it out of
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: my drawers. Nice threw me into the street and called
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: me a dirty horror. But you know, she spit on me.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: It's a story. I'm telling the all rumors I've made
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: up all right, working on playstyles literally every day doesn't
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: show everything is bolted onto it. Bad software practices.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I added the bad software. As they were
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: talking about how how much time they were working on
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: playstyle and how everything is bolted onto it, I was like,
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: this just sounds like you've terrible software, Like like, do
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: not keep attaching features to a thing that does not work?
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: Like nothing will ever work if you just keep piling
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: crap on a pile of crap, like like you're not
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: even polishing the crap, You're just you're just on top,
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: like the turn.
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: So we started off with quite a bit of joy,
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: and in true AC fashion, we've we've brought it back
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: to reality here boys, all right?
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: Got it? Oh man, it was a great time. I
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: love this, I love the community.
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: It's just so it's so much wasted, wasted, wasted potential.
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: Like there's so much here and we're trying to do
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: it on a shoe string budget. But the budget's much
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: larger than the shoe string, and it's just ah, it's
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: so it's so frustrating because you do see the potential
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: here and I understand, like they want to make money
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: and you can't spend all the money if you want
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: to make money, and it's like yes, but like this
- 1:32:41Speaker 4: could be so much more. It's very frustrating. I will
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: lie to no one. It is extraordinarily frustrating to watch this.
- 1:32:51Speaker 4: I will say, if you go ahead and put in
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: uh for our goal that the money that I donate
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: is going to local pee and to Vault Tours, I
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: think that may be a way to be able to.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: Bring some more people in. I know I would actually
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: go ahad to invest.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: The money, man, I would too, but I don't trust it.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: Like at this point, it's like I kind of figured
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: my money was going to end up going to some
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: local op stuff the first time, second time, and it
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: never did. And then it's no, I didn't. I have
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: not participated in a game Found since.
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: Well no, but I'm saying that's been what we I.
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: Didn't participate in Grim Reminders, I didn't participate in Ember Skies,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: and I probably will not be participating this time around either,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: because it is incredibly frustrating.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: I I was.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: I was very very upset with the we're only going
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: to do this once, just kidding, this is financially stable
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: for us somehow someway, so we need to keep doing this.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: But then given like no explanation of the like, okay,
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: so this needs to happen because of X, Y and Z.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: It was just done. Like, you can't do that to
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: your community and just continue to pile it on top
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: of them. You are noticing a loss every single time
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: you do it. You're noticing that there's a good chunk
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: that is not coming back to do a game Found again.
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: And I feel like if you continue to pile game
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: found upon game found upon game found upon game found
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: eventually you're gonna have a contingent of people that just
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: aren't going to play your game, and it's just it's
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: it's the broken promises, it's the lies, it's the lack
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: of anything worthwhile going to that is not community run
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: or led at your events like it is, just like
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: Vault Master twenty twenty four, twenty twenty three was a failure,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: and then you did it again and that was a
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: bigger failure than the failure was the first year, Like again,
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: why are we You're not even polishing the turd, You're
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: just continuing to pile on onto it.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: What's the name of our horse? I mean it's it's
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: definitely been beaten again.
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: But because name is ed, I'm not sure. Okay, I'm
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: gonna try to go to as many vaults again next year's.
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: Like you know what, and what's satisfying because the people
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: are amazing.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna probably try. I probably still do the fucking
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: same and like I'm just it'll thank you, You're welcome.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: It upsets me that I continue to like go to
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: these things, and I go to these things because I
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: do enjoy the people. I do enjoy competing.
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: Sorry, I was looking at our chat and it says
- 1:35:36Speaker 4: how to fix play style one control plus a two,
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: delete three, use chiallenge. I actually don't think chill is
- 1:35:43Speaker 4: the answer there, but way to go Atlantas.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: Worse challenge work, challenge works, just saying I mean, it's
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: like the biggest thing is this. I mean, I know
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the two l O is better than the double elimination
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: that we had previously, but again that's just.
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: It is it. Can't we just go ahead and.
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: Nobody wants this? Why do we continue to give people
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: ship they don't want, Like, nobody wants to go to
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: a Vault tour to to play and then go oh
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: to and then go play in second Ember. Nobody wants that.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Even if you're O two. Most people want to continue
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: playing in that main event, right, Like they want to
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: feel like they have a shot. They want to see
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: how they do on the day. This is what they want.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: So why do we continue to take money from people
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: to not give them what they want? Does that makes
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: sense to anybody?
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: Like I don't know anybody out there who has a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: good thing to say about double elimination or too ELA, right.
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: The only the only good thing that I've heard people
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: say about tool is better than the double elimination that
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: was it? Yes, nobody's like man frees up so much
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: time during my weekend. I've paid hundreds of dollars to
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: play in second number right and on the flip side, gentlemen, Oh,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I've paid hundreds of dollars to make it all the
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: way to get nothing. I know you're trying to go,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: and I'm gonna wrap it up here. Yeah, I know
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: it's like it's after twelve thirty here. Oh, I forgot today,
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: but we can. We can unfold all this, I suppose
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: another time. We've unfolded all this so many times before,
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: and just I don't know is what it is. But
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: that's all that we got for this week. Kieff's key
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: Ford is done for twenty twenty four, but check out
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Game found if you want.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: We'll see y'all next week.
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: Happy fortune everyone, May the Forge be with you. I
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: love our community, thankful for that.
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: Today I've got headaches, bad dog the FEE couldn't touch.
- 1:38:20Speaker 6: And know I've got headaches, bad dog the FET couldn't touch.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: You know who I'm not saying. You only have me
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: up for this.
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: The ns and.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: Off the shoddest couple show me.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: I can't ever be the sa
