- 0:01I was laughing because I think I sat on these glasses and they're
- 0:06crooked. And I was going to, I was going
- 0:09to try to straighten these glasses out.
- 0:11So, you know, so it's all perfect, everything.
- 0:14And I said I'll let it fly. I'll let the glasses be crooked.
- 0:20That's me. OK.
- 0:25Subject of the day. Subject of the day the the
- 0:32disease. It is a disease.
- 0:36Before I start on this subject, I want to say this.
- 0:41I'm not going to ever say their names, but I've had winners and
- 0:44champions call me it because they're depressed and things
- 0:50aren't going good in their lives.
- 0:52And they call me and they go, Herman, man, I need you to help
- 0:55me feel better. And then we start talking.
- 0:58And my job in life is to make people feel better, make them
- 1:05feel better about themselves and make them feel happiness.
- 1:10Now these are some serious damn people, man.
- 1:12They've done 10 times what I've ever done.
- 1:15And they deal with depression and they deal with, they don't
- 1:20have the ability to be happy. And it does, it makes me very
- 1:24sad for them because it's, it's real.
- 1:26Either it's a chemical imbalance or it's something that happened
- 1:30earlier in the childhood. Man, 2 days ago, it got scary
- 1:37for me. I, I literally had to talk to
- 1:39somebody and man, I went in almost panic mode.
- 1:44So that that I wanted to let you know, and this is something I
- 1:50wanted to tell you. That way, when I talk to you
- 1:53about you, you'll understand that my ability is just a God's
- 2:03gift. I was just born like this.
- 2:05I was born happy. I, I don't know what it's like
- 2:09to look for all the bad that that is.
- 2:14That is something that struck me out.
- 2:15I'll be 62, August 23rd. Well, when I got around 56 years
- 2:21old, I said I'm going with it. I'm a weirdo.
- 2:24Hey, if being happy is weird, then so be it.
- 2:30And I've told people, and this is very important, don't get
- 2:35confused, me being happy and being silly.
- 2:41I'm a happy mother from a happy town.
- 2:45It's Hermanville, USA baby, right here.
- 2:49I've, I have, I lead. I lead a life where I wake up
- 2:54every morning. I'm like, OK, what's wrong?
- 2:56How can I fix it? Because I'm a leader.
- 2:59I fix. OK, Now let's talk about this
- 3:03phenomenon where we will not let NASCAR be good in our heads.
- 3:10We went through this with Mark the kid Martin out of
- 3:14Batesville, AR. Some people will not allow
- 3:20NASCAR to be good in their head no matter what.
- 3:27That some of you don't truly believe that NASCAR's not good.
- 3:34It's just that you don't know how to flip your switch to hey,
- 3:36man, everything's OK. Everything's OK, Nobody's dying.
- 3:41Like Ann Schrader said, calm down, nobody has cancer.
- 3:48This is a sport where cars race. I was thinking about that the
- 3:53other day, this new autonomous or whatever they call this
- 3:56vehicle where it's going to drive you around.
- 3:59I've had several very smart people say, Oh yeah, we need
- 4:02that 'cause there's there's a lot of people they don't know
- 4:04how to drive. I'm thinking, can you 100 years
- 4:09from now we'll be getting rid of the car and there will be no
- 4:13racing or what will we do? Will we have remote control
- 4:17racing as they say when they're talking to children?
- 4:22Hang in there, big boy. We'll get rid of the car all
- 4:25together. We won't even have in cars
- 4:29because everybody's so excited to get in a tube and let the
- 4:33tube drive you to where you want it to go.
- 4:35People, you know, in 100 years from now, I'll tell you what,
- 4:39it's very possible in 100 years from now that you won't even
- 4:44have to drive the car. And auto racing could be gone
- 4:47because driving of the car, the ability of driving the car is
- 4:51just over. Because everybody's so excited
- 4:53about this new anonymous, autonomous, whatever the fuck
- 4:57you call it, that vehicle that drives you around.
- 4:59You don't even drive it. Here's the moral of coffee with
- 5:03Kenny this morning. You're yes, you, yes, you.
- 5:09I'm talking to you. You're you're looking at me like
- 5:11well, he ain't talking to me. There's somebody.
- 5:13No, I'm talking to you. You have an inability.
- 5:17Inability means you you don't know how to be happy.
- 5:21You don't know how to like racing just freely and love it.
- 5:29I have some people yesterday going, NHRA is where it at?
- 5:33It's full access. I'm like, Oh yeah, I love NHRA.
- 5:39Except they don't have nobody watching the drag races.
- 5:43OK, now me and Don Pernon, we talk every day.
- 5:48Me and the snake, we talk every day.
- 5:50Yes we do. Nobody loves NHRA more than me.
- 5:55But when people come on my timeline and they go NHRA is the
- 5:59best. It's full access and I want to
- 6:01yell in her ear, I want to go. Then why doesn't anybody can go
- 6:05or watch it? That's your opinion.
- 6:08See, everything you do is you try to down NASCAR, but it's
- 6:11stupid. It it it it sounds so it's like,
- 6:15you know, like me. I only went one through 12, but
- 6:18there you talk sounds like a six year old like you talk stupid.
- 6:24It's just it's OK though, because it's good content for
- 6:26me. Then I had some people yesterday
- 6:31get me a super late Model dirt race all day long over NASCAR.
- 6:36Great, awesome. However, they're getting ready
- 6:41to shut down local super Late Model racing around here.
- 6:45You know why? Because nobody comes to races
- 6:50now. You're going to have your your
- 6:52Eldora's, you're going to have Knoxville, you're going to have
- 6:57the Granddaddy's. You know, it's kind of like
- 6:59Indy. It's kind of like IndyCar
- 7:01racing. You have the Indianapolis 500
- 7:04and then the rest of the races, it's like a ghost town.
- 7:08It it, it's like Connor Daley. Connor Daley, calm down, calm
- 7:12down, their own race car driver Connor Daley said on Speed St.
- 7:17He said they did a horrible job advertising Iowa and that's why
- 7:24there was nobody in the grandstands and nobody watching
- 7:26it. So my message to most of you
- 7:30this morning is this, I love you, but your inability you, you
- 7:38don't know how to love. You don't know how to like.
- 7:41You're angry now I love you, but you need to practice to like all
- 7:49things like me. I see.
- 7:51Here's the difference. I like everything.
- 7:53I don't talk bad about. I don't talk bad about IndyCar.
- 7:57I don't talk bad about dirt racing.
- 7:59I just go. Look, I know you've made it, but
- 8:03NASCAR is number 1 and you're going to have to deal with it
- 8:06now. You're going to go.
- 8:06I don't have to deal with nothing.
- 8:07I'm my own person. Well, yeah, but you're on a
- 8:10little bitty island and that's fine to be the fonts.
- 8:13Look at me. I'm cool.
- 8:14Look at me. I'm different than anybody.
- 8:16But nobody gives way. You think?
- 8:18All I know is that there's 2.1 million people watching these
- 8:21Cup races and maybe 500,000 watching an IndyCar race.
- 8:26Now I will admit I've been very cocky this morning.
- 8:29That's not me. When you see me out in real, I'm
- 8:31very nice. Just wanted to get my point
- 8:34across today. Have a great day.
