- 0:05Speaker 2: Out Chili, why are you feeling good this early morning?
- 0:09Speaker 3: Well, I got to reboot my computer before the show,
- 0:12Speaker 3: and it didn't disrupt the flow of the show. I
- 0:15Speaker 3: hate when that message comes up while we're in the
- 0:18Speaker 3: middle of things.
- 0:19Speaker 4: Oh, you have updates, and then the back time starts. Yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 3: So anyway, it worked out for me that the alert
- 0:25Speaker 3: came before we got going, so I got to get
- 0:28Speaker 3: that out of the way. That's why I'm feeling good.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Toby and Chili in the Morning on ninety seven point
- 0:32Speaker 2: one wash FM. We're feeling good first thing in the
- 0:35Speaker 2: morning is important because it can set the tone for

- 0:40Speaker 2: you know where we are eight six six, ninet two,
- 0:42Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one. I'm feeling good Chile because
- 0:45Speaker 2: for the first time in weeks, I did not have
- 0:47Speaker 2: to throw away pears. Okay, I actually got to eat
- 0:52Speaker 2: my pears, two of them, and I'd cut back what
- 0:54Speaker 2: I was ordering from like six to three to now
- 0:59Speaker 2: you know one. Well, I got two out of the
- 1:04Speaker 2: way yesterday before they went bad. I don't even know
- 1:06Speaker 2: how you know, when pairs go bad, I just don't
- 1:09Speaker 2: like them, when they become mushy to the touch, and
- 1:12Speaker 2: then you know, then I have to toss them. Then
- 1:15Speaker 2: I feel bad that I'm tossing good pairs. Well, yesterday
- 1:19Speaker 2: I had some pairs for lunch. All I needed was
- 1:21Speaker 2: bree cheese. But you know what, you'll have these things.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Well, we really set the bar pretty low on what's
- 1:26Speaker 3: making is feel joy this morning. I have a feeling
- 1:29Speaker 3: a lot of people out there can pretty much top
- 1:32Speaker 3: anything that we said this week.
- 1:33Speaker 2: That's right, But it's little things that start chain reactions.

- 3:07Speaker 3: a bill that would allow grocery stores to sell beer
- 3:11Speaker 3: and wine with strict limits though on hours and no
- 3:15Speaker 3: self checkout or delivery. Supporters hope that these tighter rules
- 3:19Speaker 3: will succeed where previous efforts failed and sadly, Catherine Short,

- 8:25Speaker 5: And Chili in the Morning, Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
- 8:30Speaker 3: The President said in his State of the Union address
- 8:33Speaker 3: last night that the US is wealthier than ever, pointing
- 8:36Speaker 3: to job growth, rising investments, and trillions of dollars flowing
- 8:40Speaker 3: into the country, and also claimed inflation is falling and
- 8:44Speaker 3: incomes are climbing. Meanwhile, in the Democratic response, Virginia Governor
- 8:49Speaker 3: Abigail Spanberger accused the President of lying, scapecoating, and distracting,
- 8:54Speaker 3: and argued that his policies are not making Americans safer
- 8:57Speaker 3: at home or abroad. Washington Gas says it has repaired
- 9:01Speaker 3: a leaking line that may have caused the February fifteenth

- 9:28Speaker 3: The annual Kennedy Center Honors will continue during their two
- 9:32Speaker 3: year renovation, but under a new name. They'll be called
- 9:36Speaker 3: the Trump Kennedy Center Honors, reflecting changes made under the

- 9:46Speaker 3: This is a swallowable weight loss device that will inflate
- 9:50Speaker 3: in the stomach to help users feel full, and will
- 9:53Speaker 3: naturally deflate about after four months, allowing people to lose
- 9:57Speaker 3: roughly fourteen percent of their body wing eight and according
- 10:01Speaker 3: to a recent poll, fifty four percent of teenagers have

- 10:08Speaker 3: them for emotional support or advice. Meanwhile, only about half
- 10:13Speaker 3: of parents believe that their child is using AI at all.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Forecast today Cloudy and Breezy. Hi's around fifty two right now,
- 10:20Speaker 3: thirty seven in birth.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And that is the news with Toby and Chilly in
- 10:23Speaker 2: the morning. Remember you get top stories at the top
- 10:26Speaker 2: of the hour. This is ninety seven point one wash FM. Question,
- 10:31Speaker 2: what do you do if you get an unexpected text
- 10:34Speaker 2: from someone from your past, someone you probably didn't really
- 10:38Speaker 2: expect to hear from. Eight sixty six ninety two, seven
- 10:42Speaker 2: forty three sixty one is the number. Think about this
- 10:45Speaker 2: and we'll explain why this is coming up in minutes.
- 10:51Speaker 2: So did I tell you I got this text out
- 10:53Speaker 2: of nowhere from an ex significant other earlier this month?
- 10:56Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety seven point
- 10:58Speaker 2: one wash CHEFM. So you have a second Is that
- 11:02Speaker 2: what she said? Yeah?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Really?
- 11:04Speaker 4: Yep?
- 11:05Speaker 3: So after how many years did your ex girlfriend send
- 11:10Speaker 3: you a text saying hey?
- 11:11Speaker 4: At least eight eight years?
- 11:13Speaker 2: And I know how time passes, but wow, I think
- 11:17Speaker 2: thinking about it it was eight years. What in the
- 11:19Speaker 2: world was your ex texting you about job related sort
- 11:23Speaker 2: of a reference kind of a thing.
- 11:24Speaker 3: So she wanted to use you as a reference.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, and she wanted to pick my brain about
- 11:29Speaker 2: the jobs she was going after.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Okay.
- 11:31Speaker 3: So I guess she figured you know her better than
- 11:33Speaker 3: most people and maybe you could be a good reference
- 11:36Speaker 3: for her. But I know you're currently in a serious relationship. Yep,
- 11:39Speaker 3: before you replied to her text.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Oh, I went right to my significant other. I'm not
- 11:45Speaker 2: getting in trouble for that. No, because I think that
- 11:48Speaker 2: if I wouldn't have gone to my significantather and said, hey,
- 11:51Speaker 2: this is the case with this, that's almost that's just
- 11:55Speaker 2: bad that so.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Many years had passed, Which is really the surprising part
- 11:59Speaker 3: is because that does seem like out of nowhere, right
- 12:02Speaker 3: and sometimes and I don't think that was the case
- 12:04Speaker 3: in this, but like sometimes when you hear from an
- 12:07Speaker 3: ex after that much time, there's always an ulterior moments
- 12:11Speaker 3: that's not truly what they're claiming.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You sound like you speak from firsthand experience.
- 12:18Speaker 3: It only happened once, and an X did reach out
- 12:21Speaker 3: to me after I had already met my husband. We
- 12:23Speaker 3: weren't married yet, and he was kind of trying to
- 12:28Speaker 3: make amends, and I told my husband, and when I
- 12:31Speaker 3: did call my ex, he definitely was trying to get back.
- 12:33Speaker 3: But it's okay, you know, I will tell you in
- 12:35Speaker 3: that moment, had I not been in a relationship, honestly,
- 12:40Speaker 3: I would have been really curious. You know, I wouldn't
- 12:41Speaker 3: be curious anytime an X reaches out. There's always a
- 12:44Speaker 3: part of you that's like, what is this going to
- 12:46Speaker 3: be about? Yes? You know for me anyway?
- 12:48Speaker 4: Yeah, no, And I'm that way.
- 12:49Speaker 2: But you know, I don't really have anything bad to
- 12:52Speaker 2: say about any of the exes in my life.
- 12:54Speaker 4: That's good, and I'm kind of proud of that.
- 12:56Speaker 2: But I do know had I kept us seek and
- 13:00Speaker 2: not said anything, I would have been guilty of omission,
- 13:04Speaker 2: and that in itself is a lie.
- 13:06Speaker 3: And I think you and I are fortunate in that
- 13:08Speaker 3: we don't have such a terrible X memory that we
- 13:11Speaker 3: would actually entertain reaching back out. I'm not so sure
- 13:15Speaker 3: everybody feels.
- 13:16Speaker 4: What would you do?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Eight six, six, nine, two, seven, forty three sixty one,
- 13:19Speaker 2: and X reaches out across the years sends a text,
- 13:23Speaker 2: Hey stranger, would you respond?
- 13:25Speaker 4: Would you block immediately? What would you do? Think about it?
- 13:30Speaker 4: Give us a call.
- 13:30Speaker 2: We'll talk about this coming up with Toby and Chilly
- 13:32Speaker 2: in the morning. Do not move Toby and Chilly in
- 13:35Speaker 2: the morning. Long ninety seven point one was Chef M
- 13:38Speaker 2: a little bit earlier. We were talking about this text
- 13:40Speaker 2: that I got from an X, and it was innocent enough,
- 13:44Speaker 2: it was asking for a job reference. But nonetheless, when
- 13:48Speaker 2: an X reaches out, curiosity goes into overdriving. There is
- 13:53Speaker 2: a chance there could be an ulterior motive.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Sure, And so the question is if and when an
- 13:58Speaker 3: EX reaches out do you respond? What do you do?
- 14:02Speaker 4: To have to talk back? Microphone?
- 14:03Speaker 2: It's wide open for you if you're signed in listening
- 14:05Speaker 2: to your iHeart app or you can call us at
- 14:07Speaker 2: eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
- 14:10Speaker 2: and Bowie Courtney, what do you do block immediately?
- 14:14Speaker 3: You say that with such certainty? Why?
- 14:17Speaker 5: Because they're an extra reason?
- 14:19Speaker 4: Mm hmm. Sounds like it did not end so well.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Now now to Tenleytown, Josh, your next reaches out, what
- 14:26Speaker 2: do you do?
- 14:26Speaker 6: I mean, my instincts say block, but curiosity eventually takes over.
- 14:30Speaker 3: And what if you find out she had an ulterior motive.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I send a few texts with my fingers on the eject.
- 14:36Speaker 3: Fine though, that's right, eject, then block.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Wow, Caitlin, good morning in Ashburn's So, what do you do?
- 14:43Speaker 5: I actually had a dream about this last night.
- 14:46Speaker 3: He knocked on my door at like eleven o'clock at night.
- 14:49Speaker 6: It'll, I guess it depends on the time of day
- 14:51Speaker 6: that they reach out.
- 14:52Speaker 3: What do you mean by that? Definitely a booty call
- 14:55Speaker 3: up it that night. Well, hey, whatever works, man, it
- 14:58Speaker 3: doesn't matter.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I'll have what your having before you go to sleep.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's causing some interesting dreams. Eight six six ninety two,
- 15:04Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one.
- 15:05Speaker 4: It's the number.
- 15:06Speaker 2: If you want to add your voice to the conversation.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Talk back is wide open to tap speaking cent if
- 15:10Speaker 2: you're signed into your iHeart app. It's the red microphone
- 15:13Speaker 2: right there, and tell us what you would do if
- 15:15Speaker 2: an ex reached out. Would you block or would you
- 15:18Speaker 2: engage the conversation coming up next. As the conversation continues
- 15:22Speaker 2: that we call Toby and Chilly in the morning, We'll.

- 16:07Speaker 3: The President delivered his State of the Union address in
- 16:10Speaker 3: a lengthy hour and forty seven minute speech last night.
- 16:13Speaker 3: He focused heavily on the economy tariffs in Mexico, while
- 16:17Speaker 3: the address also included several tense moments marked by shouting
- 16:20Speaker 3: from Democrats. Savannah Guthrie announced yesterday that her family is
- 16:24Speaker 3: now offering a one million dollar reward as the search
- 16:27Speaker 3: for her mother continues. Reports have suggested the suspected abductor
- 16:32Speaker 3: may have visited Nancy's home the day before she disappeared.
- 16:36Speaker 3: A federal judge limited the DOJ's search of devices that
- 16:40Speaker 3: were seized from Washington Post reporter Hannah Nathanson, ordering an
- 16:44Speaker 3: independent review and the return of unrelated material. He warned
- 16:49Speaker 3: that letting the government search alone would be like leaving
- 16:52Speaker 3: the fox in charge of the hen House. The House
- 16:55Speaker 3: blocked the Rotor Act, which would have required many aircraft
- 16:59Speaker 3: to an install technology to track nearby planes. The NTSB

- 17:07Speaker 3: deadly Potomac River crash, and a broader aviation safety bill
- 17:11Speaker 3: could be taken up next week. Maryland lawmakers are revisiting
- 17:15Speaker 3: a bill that would allow grocery stores to sell beer
- 17:18Speaker 3: and wine. However, with strict limits on hours and no
- 17:22Speaker 3: self checkout or delivery, supporters hope that these tighter rules
- 17:26Speaker 3: will succeed where previous efforts had failed. And according to
- 17:30Speaker 3: recent survey, seventy two percent of dog and caut owners
- 17:34Speaker 3: spend between fifty and two hundred dollars a month on food, grooming,
- 17:39Speaker 3: that care, insurance, and toys. Now, nearly three in ten
- 17:43Speaker 3: admit that they spend more on their pets every month
- 17:46Speaker 3: than on their own gym memberships, healthcare, and supplements. Forecasts
- 17:51Speaker 3: for today cloudy and breezy highs around fifty two right
- 17:55Speaker 3: now thirty seven in Friendship Heights.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Toby and Chilly's nearly impossible question.
- 18:00Speaker 4: What is our question on this Wednesday morning, ma'am?
- 18:03Speaker 3: Fewer than ten percent of people do this immediately after
- 18:06Speaker 3: they wake up?
- 18:07Speaker 4: What is it?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Eight six six ninety two seven forty three sixty one
- 18:10Speaker 2: is the number?
- 18:11Speaker 4: Call now answer that question right.
- 18:13Speaker 2: You'll go see Bruce Springsteen and the East Street Band
- 18:16Speaker 2: that's park in May thanks to Live Nation.
- 18:19Speaker 4: The question again.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Is fewer than ten percent of people do this immediately
- 18:25Speaker 3: after they wake up.
- 18:26Speaker 4: What is it?
- 18:26Speaker 2: What did you do this morning when you woke up?
- 18:28Speaker 2: Think about it could be the right answer. Eight six
- 18:31Speaker 2: six nine two seven forty three sixty one. You're planning
- 18:33Speaker 2: for tickets to see Bruce Springsteen. Call now, get it
- 18:36Speaker 2: right and win.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Toby and Chilly's nearly impossible question, And.
- 18:41Speaker 4: What's the question? Again?
- 18:43Speaker 3: Fewer than ten percent of people do this immediately after
- 18:46Speaker 3: they wake up.
- 18:47Speaker 4: What is it?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Eight six six ninety two seven forty three sixty one
- 18:50Speaker 2: the number. If you know the answer, you could take
- 18:53Speaker 2: these Bruce Springsteen tickets. It comes Big Will from Charles
- 18:57Speaker 2: down Home. With the races and slots.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Will good morning, good morning.

- 19:02Speaker 2: see the Boss on the twenty seventh of May and
- 19:06Speaker 2: NAT's Park thanks to Live Nation.
- 19:08Speaker 4: What is your guess?
- 19:09Speaker 7: I'm going to say, get a drink of water.
- 19:12Speaker 4: So what's the first thing you grab in the morning
- 19:14Speaker 4: when you get up. I don't mess with water till
- 19:18Speaker 4: later in the day.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm a coffee person, but I know a lot of
- 19:21Speaker 1: people wake up kind of dry.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Well.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Also, that water thing is more important than the coffee
- 19:26Speaker 3: to drink first, according to doctors. And that's an excellent,
- 19:31Speaker 3: excellent guest this morning. There will because yes, fewer than
- 19:34Speaker 3: ten percent of people immediately drink water after waking up.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I will tell you, though, will I agree with you
- 19:41Speaker 2: on the coffee?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't listen to the doctors.

- 20:14Speaker 2: to Live Nation. All you need to do is get up,
- 20:16Speaker 2: play and win with your nearly impossible question Manyana and
- 20:20Speaker 2: coming up next with Toby and Chilly in the morning, what's.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Something that you're currently obsessed with online? I can't be
- 20:26Speaker 3: the only one obsessed with an abandoned monkey.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I might be the only person obsessed with this veterinarian,
- 20:33Speaker 2: but you know what, I'm obsessed and we'll talk about
- 20:35Speaker 2: these obsessions next eight six, six, nine, two, seven forty
- 20:39Speaker 2: three sixty one. That's the number where Teby and Chili
- 20:41Speaker 2: in the morning. It's ninety seven point one wash FM.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Hey Chili, is there something on social media you just
- 20:47Speaker 2: can't stop watching?
- 20:49Speaker 4: And what would it be?
- 20:50Speaker 6: Oh?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Definitely Punch, the baby monkey that's gone viral, yes, abandoned
- 20:55Speaker 3: and now being raised by zoo keepers in Japan. And
- 20:58Speaker 3: what made Punch go iral, I think is the adorable
- 21:01Speaker 3: and somewhat sad relationship that he has with a stuffed
- 21:06Speaker 3: orangutang monkey.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Gave him peace.
- 21:09Speaker 2: He would run over to the monkey just to find
- 21:12Speaker 2: some comfort. When he went to the monkey friends and
- 21:16Speaker 2: the monkey tribe wouldn't accept him as part of the tribe.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It was very, very sad that that monkey was there.
- 21:22Speaker 3: And then the ikea monkey that the stuffed monkey has
- 21:25Speaker 3: been sold out now and people just can't get enough
- 21:28Speaker 3: of it. But no, seriously, just following that storyline and
- 21:31Speaker 3: hoping for a happy ending for a little punch and
- 21:34Speaker 3: happy you know, hoping that he gets accepted by the
- 21:36Speaker 3: other monkeys has been my obsession recently.
- 21:39Speaker 2: On My favorite thing about punched Monkey and following his
- 21:42Speaker 2: stuff is the comments.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Oh yeah, the comment people are like, we ride it down,
- 21:46Speaker 4: we will liberate the.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Monkey and people, and so the zookeepers are like, no,
- 21:50Speaker 2: it's okay, this is what happens in the animal kingdom.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I love it.
- 21:54Speaker 3: It's punch that brought us all together.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Punch is great.
- 21:57Speaker 2: You know who I'm hooked on though, And I just
- 21:59Speaker 2: noticed this on Monday night. Doctor Nicole Fine is a
- 22:02Speaker 2: veterinarian and she's in California, Huntington Beach, and she just
- 22:07Speaker 2: does not care what you think. Like, she loves animals.
- 22:12Speaker 2: She's loved animals since she was a little kid, and
- 22:14Speaker 2: people give her static because she talks to these animals
- 22:18Speaker 2: like their little babies.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Oh you know, like they use babies. Baby. They aren't
- 22:22Speaker 4: you so adorable? I just want to eat your.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I And she imagined you as an audience member when
- 22:27Speaker 3: she makes these videos.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I don't know, but I didn't think she's spectacular. And
- 22:31Speaker 2: if we had a vent like her, I'd be there
- 22:33Speaker 2: just because she's good. And then watching the way she
- 22:36Speaker 2: defends against these people who try to like steal her sunshine,
- 22:40Speaker 2: that's even better. She's great. Her name is doctor Nicole
- 22:43Speaker 2: Fine Follower. I promise you it'll be worth it for
- 22:46Speaker 2: you and your pooch and your animals. So what are
- 22:49Speaker 2: you following? What are you into? Tell Chilly and I
- 22:51Speaker 2: were listening eight six six nine two seven forty three

- 26:43Speaker 3: has become a viral Internet sensation.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yes, he's the little monkey that could. And for me,
- 26:48Speaker 2: it's this veterinarian named doctor Nicole Fine. She just loves
- 26:52Speaker 2: what she's doing. She talks like like the pets or babies.

- 27:12Speaker 7: I just can't stay out there. It's kind of embarrassing.
- 27:15Speaker 3: But whatever, Hey, Joanne, don't feel bad. You're not the
- 27:18Speaker 3: only pop culture junkie there is.
- 27:20Speaker 2: That's right now, Shelly, what are you hooked on watching?
- 27:24Speaker 6: I cannot stop watching these videos that always seem to
- 27:27Speaker 6: pop up on my seed about people that go to
- 27:32Speaker 6: a thrift store and find a valuable item, you know,
- 27:36Speaker 6: like worth hundreds of dollars, and then they flip it
- 27:38Speaker 6: and it's like, you know, so inspiring to me. So
- 27:42Speaker 6: I keep watching these videos over and over again, trying
- 27:45Speaker 6: to burn it into my memory what these items are,
- 27:48Speaker 6: so I could be on the lookout for them.
- 27:50Speaker 3: That's modern day treasure hunting.
