- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Paul's a way this week.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's busy with work, so I have brought back from the Eastern Lariat podcast dealing, dealing, how are you doing?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: Gerard, it's so good to be back all.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, I've been speaking on the show.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: I love what I make these little guest appearances.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, you are on my show.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just a couple weeks ago talking about Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame, which Not only did we do a show, which I really enjoyed a lot of people really liked.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: We broke down the Japan region with the Gordi list.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Covered 24 different questions.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: It was a really cool exercise.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then we just talked about everything anyway at the end as to what so it was a lot of fun there.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, a lot of people had some great reactions.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I even contributed on the website with a rare writing piece, which I did on Yoshiro Takiyama.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, so if anybody wants to check that out and hasn't yet, would highly recommend that.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you're not even care about the Hall of Fame, just go there to look at my match recommendations.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get some really great stuff in there for sure.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, ton of fun, uh, big things going on in the world of the Eastern Lariat.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope I hopefully I can bring that energy here to the flow show.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're looking for Paul, he's going to be recording a podcast with Alan for Alan Allen's progress paradise podcast, which is on the PW Torch.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that should be coming out soon from my understanding so you can look at there but otherwise he's been really busy and we decided to
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Just put something together here because we've had a bunch of stuff happen are having more shows in the coming weeks So it was just time to put out a new episode so we'll dive right into it and I have to ask you Dylan Do you watch Zeus first?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: This is Naomi Yoshimura from D&T on October 4th
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: I had no idea that happened, but I'm going to watch it as soon as the show ends.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: It was like a quick little time in it match, but it was a lot of fun, and it was great to see Zeus back in his traditional element, because he's not wrestling, that's like this.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: It was soccer pros in the days and that's no shade on a soccer pro.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a very different style So if you want to see a little bit of the old Zeus, I mean, it's a quick batch They get their dead.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: You should be able to definitely got it's chest grinded there a bit.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's definitely worth watching and checking
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I want 100% we'll check that out.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: I listen, you could have told me, first of all, I like Yoshimura.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's, I've got a huge DDT fan.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: But, yeah, he's one of the bright spots for sure.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: I would say out there, I was talking to somebody the other night about DDT and how things are.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's always guys like a sumi, I've always supported you can you way know, I think he's been a good champion for them.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Yoshimura.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: But if Susan even wrestled somebody, I didn't like,
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Something like that.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: I still would have watched that match because I have a great love and respect for Zeus as I know you do And as hopefully everyone listening does if you familiar, but most importantly Zeus I was consider us spiritually bonded and connected because we actually share our birthday
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe not the same year.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 20 years older than me.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, what's still?
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: But still accounts.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, accounts.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: We have a spiritual birthday link there.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I do have to respect Zeus.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I love him anyway.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Big fan of the big guns back in the day.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I would like to watch more of Osoca Pro, but they don't air that much anymore.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Unfortunately.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's the classic the first six months of the year.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's full of Osoca Pro on YouTube.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then it just grind through a halt.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to jump into Noah because we have two show block shows and then the The finals of the n1 tournament and oh god.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just gonna start off and say this might be the most painful period of Noah For me even worse than Suzuki goon till and how you feel about that comment I can tell I can tell you are a reader of my article since that I put a whole segment of him carrying Suzuki That run but
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: I love how literally no joke.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: So the latest episode of the Eastern area, it'll be out by the time this ends.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: But me and my co-host Amy, literally when we brought up the A1 Final, the first thing she said was, oh god.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And the first thing you said was, oh god.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that's the only proper way to react to that in one final.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I act, say something, man.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk more about this show.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: This interesting show that Noah is presenting us for real Goku.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: I
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people will say that the n-1 was boring, but for me, I'll take a tournament of all three to three and a half star matches, you know, like there wasn't anything that reached match for the year status, I mean, I don't know if you agree with that or not, but the Rattle, yeah, like there was nothing, thank you.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: There was nothing that touched like the G1 final, for example, or anything like that.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a tournament of solid, it honestly, it kind of reminded me of when I was watching 0-1 a lot earlier this year or when I watched these great shows.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you look at these shows and there's no juice to them or anything like that, there's no buzz coming around them, but there's good quality wrestling, except for of course
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: at sushi coating game is is the g-rex champion i don't know what i'm gonna watch any of that yet i probably need to get on that for the next episode of hack but quickly is that he good is it worth watching the main event is definitely worth watching i thought it was a really strong match coat case best match and probably year since that uh... saki oshioka uh... junior title change yeah a few years ago
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, so this was I think it was a bit better than I like this match versus Tanaka in 0-1 For the 0-1 title, but I thought this one was better for sure than that and I Even like I pretty much liked the last three or four matches on the show even for Gita's match I mean, it's gonna make you depressed if you have any hope for Izuchi, which I've given up on and don't care
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so just to watch Fujita look like a beast was actually entertaining and the top four matches all delivered pretty strongly But the main event was definitely the best the best one.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: I like the semi-main event too You know listen.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know that
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Glate isn't for everybody, but I like the angle they did after the match to the main thing I liked about the main of it too Is that the crowd wasn't that hot for most of the show, but they really bought it to Cotecae being like an invading bad guy That works really well actually better than you might expect so I remember Cotecae when he was a heel in Oprah like 20 years ago You know, he was actually part of the monster army
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and he had some good shops here.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I definitely recommend the Glate made event coach gave versus a linden men And I'm not even the biggest linden men fan anymore.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: I like T-hark better usually of the two But I thought linden bit did a great job in his role as the defending valiant You know, for whatever you wanted to fit Glate for.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: He did a good job
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: To run this about to be known with though, that's what this tournament reminded me of you're not going to get top to your stuff Like you have to accept that fact, but there was really only there was very few matches that were bad like that Fujita and Shin match That happened or like 80 Osawa match besides the first one.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like a win-win count
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but everything else was good like and some stuff did like the Kenno and Koga match I liked a lot the Inamura and Kaito match that the draw, which I By the way, we have to talk about a person something I don't like to even bring up on this show I apologize Gerard for bringing this up, but my eternal rival in my mortal it to me EV coin that I battled with with the prediction contest.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: I
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: a huge victory in my part, in the eastern area in the world.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I got four more matches right, they're flipping a coin all those times.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I destroyed EV coins and missions, but I successfully, I successfully predicted the title of a draw for Inamura and Kaito, and I'll take that with me, although we both failed at the end because our pick lost, but I wasn't that surprised.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a good tournament.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't anything too bad outside of a handful of matches.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe there wasn't anything great, but most of the matches were easy to watch.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the vibes were pretty good throughout the tournament I would say.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Outside of some of the smaller shows, maybe not.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: I would say overall, it was not a bad tournament at all.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good, like, the problem is, Noah, I think they want us to look at them as like a rival to New Japan kind of on their level.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: And they're really more like a rival to zero one in terms of quality or, you know, like not, this was not as good a tournament as champion carnival, like by any stretchers of imagination, and by every game.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: But here's my point, they should be able to have a tournament and they have to roster to have a tournament through the championship cards.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's another point me and Amy brought up because she was saying how like because we looked at the Mari Gold showed and she was like this might be worse than Noah and I was like, no, that's not true because Noah Mari Gold has a lot of wrestlers that aren't very good like on their cars that are just young and green and just not at a level we shouldn't even respect a greatness outside of a handful of great people.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Noah has a great roster like when you think about it on paper, they should be doing better but
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I do think that is negative about this, and it compared to the Suzuki Gun era that you brought up, I definitely think that was worse just because I felt like they were actually on the right path, but for the Suzuki Gun stuff started, they had a really underrated year.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Those years where it went from Kent to the goddess heel run you had bar Fuji have a good baby face run And then this is if you can come down and just dump solid on all of it the problem is at least people were doing stuff there that were of interest When you really look at this Noah roster up a dad and when we talk about the real Goku show
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure that we'll have a lot of candidates who is here that actually we could be interested in as fans who are we supposed to be interested in and invested in their stories alive a few people but they've made a bet yeah, yeah, like to me Koga was like the most interesting person to watch Not that he was like the best or anything, but he performed very well and I enjoyed seeing his story at least they gave him something hating the the new three musketeers they at least gave him a story
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Who else has anything, like this roster?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I would said this, uh, somewhat brought up some, uh, uh, a tendency.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw that, uh, Noah was 16,000 people behind Dragon Gate, and only 10,000 people ahead of all Japan.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I think so far in in 2026, and that only brings up the question, is I feel like Noah's least cost-effective
- 13:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's true because there really is I mean that show that the the Glate show were coding a one the title that was a huge so by their standards and it was like eight seventy five and that was like and you know two or three hundred more than they usually do
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: Talking about the size of the, okay, if you think about the size of the, yeah, what they're probably paying some of the foreigners they got, whether it's the good brothers, we'll get to them later, or bringing in NATO, and how much business they do is just like completely out of whack and I don't think that's sustainable.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Even though, like, not gonna go bankrupt, but I don't think the cyber fights gonna want to keep pouring that level of money into them either, actually, especially now, you know, there's like all this tie-ups with New Japan and everything.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was going to bring that up because the return on investment clearly isn't there when you think about that, but it's something we talked about, we didn't talk about on the show, but we were talking off the air when we recorded last, I personally believe that these two companies are going to work together, like sooner rather than later.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: the they the both companies need it but especially Noah but really they just need people different people running these shows I would say because like I said how do you have a roster with all these people and no one has anything interesting going on the number one storyline that has effort put into it is as my beloved co-host Amy described him as the mystery purple individual
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: She thought his name was but he just they just they just they just blew that through that Give me before they even did the match.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: He just took his mask off.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: It was like I'm not a yes Yeah, that's such a waste and also not a surprise because my day is previously been in the company I'm sorry like I bus
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's not a big enough mysterious figure to walk away.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: If it was I don't know who some of that was in the company that hadn't been in the company for years Maybe I don't know if more Shima.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I would get more Shima I was thinking about but I was like that might even be too ridiculous to mask him and I haven't reappear But like a shock like that or if Ken to have returned under a mask in a year It got when you came back, but sorry Montez not worth masking up
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just I really feel like this must have been you know, I don't know for sure anything But it feels like something nighto if it wasn't something he came up with or pitched around at least it was very cool with you know Because we know that people would know I have worked with DG plenty of times before and Montet fits his group
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's just how they they brought him in was silly at the end of the day, but I actually kind of liked it It's like it's very Memphis wrestling to me.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I bring this guy in under a mask.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's clearly this guy If you know anything about D.G.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: or even watched him before in Noah.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean his in one run was pretty below average.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: I would say a couple years ago But he's at least somebody that's
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: he's got nothing better to do a dragon gate and is a former champion so put this is a i think they're actually putting him in a good spot even if the idea is very cartoonish and silly but still though i'd rather be in where montay is then where cano is right now all the roster what's he doing
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: random tag matches.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's been his character ever since he lost the belt last year.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally his only their character.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever we need to fill in a special tag match, we turn to Kano for that.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: So just on the 26th of September, to be there wasn't much on this show beyond and no versus Koga was a nice little match and so was Kano versus Soya.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: But Osawa versus
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we knew it would come on did you expect anything better then you could argue those were the two worst guys in the tournament to me
- 17:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I'm just so over like Masa in this team 2000 gimmick.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's totally, we're all of it's wrong.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: And Ozawa, it doesn't, isn't it weird how it feels like everyone has simultaneously been fed up with Ozawa at the same time?
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: It seems, it seems, it seems, it seems, everyone knows no one likes Ozawa, no one's defending Ozawa.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been any Ozawa defending.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like I was one of the first on that boat because like two months after he won the title I was like, oh, this guy's not that good Like you know, because we all were excited because Kaito was such a dead in the water champion And we got somebody new and fresh and cool and interesting Yeah, well, and also I'm going to take some credit because I said Team 2000 actually was heading towards a bullet club right
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: uh... it was uh... you're right really was right away they were already remember when in dot turned like he just showed up and he's like a bad guy and then i'm a good guy a month later and it's like that totally messed up his push uh... uh... uh... so yeah that was a good call in your part for sure so uh... i guess maybe we were both on the ahead of the ball a little bit there but
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: I just feel like now nobody likes those little ones like universally.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, this guy is not as great as we thought he was.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's just, uh, and I don't, oh, I was gonna, I'll just say this now, because this was something I was gonna bring up there.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, we'll say it's an injury, I'm not convinced.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: Even if he was injured, it's just a whole way he's approaching him.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I totally agree with that.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's another one.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: I can't completely throw in the talon until he's out of this gimmick.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like once he breaks apart from, I mean, that's another thing too.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like on this very show, like you and Paul were talking how many months were, you know, it was the next like Jack Morris getting a maven spot.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_00]: Six months straight and then we all realized oh, no, actually nothing's gonna change Well, and you get in turf when he loses tomato Yeah, because I definitely think he's losing Uh-oh, I'm sure we're jumping ahead on the format here, but but yeah Yeah, talk about Uh, that and so and then we go the last block knight.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know this felt like a really long show
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: I expected more from Ken Tell vs. Kuga and, you know, Fujita vs. FUN, but to be the only decent things on the show, we're in a Marversa Sigura and haste vs. Alfa Wolfe.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Kittamy vs. Ken O'Neill and Countout to set up the Lumberjack back later was what you would think it was.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I did admittedly, maybe it went a little too long.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: I liked Kylo vs. Chen.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think of that?
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, listen, Chin has like some goofy moves that I wish he would cut out Um, and he said I mentioned this when I was reviewing the show on the Eastern Military Patriot where I was like, it seems like half of this guy's moveset seems to always end and like an overhead shop So somehow
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: and it's like he does the flying chop, he does that surfboard thing into a chop to the back.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: He does the standing chop.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's like what the how many variations of this lay move do we do we need?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: Here, but in terms of his like just wrestling,
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: His body is fantastic.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's in super good shape You know, you could tell he worked that was really what he worked on because when I previewed the tournament I mentioned like hey this guy has it wrestled like set one time since he got let go from WV that kind of worried me But did he showed up and I was like whoa I can see what you've been doing with your time
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: uh... uh... you know he he had a plan and he looked great i thought they started him off good in the opening night show where he dropped uh... Yoshi taught suit the fans kind of bought him to him i think his fundamental wrestling is good and i've been watching this guy since Singapore for wrestling you know to in the treksis days uh... you know so i've he's definitely grown
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: just some of his offense if he cut that out I think he'd be a really good performer uh... i like the match with kaito for sure i thought was a little underrated uh... cage match it's only got like a six point three rating but i thought it was a good match i definitely recommended it wasn't like a match in the year again but i thought it was up there with the matches you mentioned the wolf and haste match and security number i thought all three of those were recommended match
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: uh... can take over was pretty okay it just was too short to really be more than what it was uh... i thought but uh... isn't it funny though you mentioned you know to me like two of the guys i probably enjoyed most i never would have dreamed this and they both finished last in the block which is also funny
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Eno and soya just doing big guy fun matches that you know don't require a lot of thought or anything But they played their roles really well.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: I thought throughout the tournament.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's just fun goofy big guys And you knew what you're getting with them and I thought they delivered pretty concerned like they were probably two of the more consistent guys along with haste and wolf and Siguera you know like what's recognizing how great haste is
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: He might have been to me, he has a strong case to be the MVP, like the best overall performer and the tournament.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: And Alpha Wolf was good too, even as a heal, I think he showed that he has the grass with this a little bit better than some of his contemporaries.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in Inamura was a great worker as we always know he is, you know, I'll never be a fan of the gimmick, but just him as a wrestler, you can't really go wrong with him.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so you, again, look at, like we're talking about a lot of good guys in the tournament that did good things.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Kaito, you know, you obviously did a good job throughout the tournament in Ringwise.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: you know, so he's a guy that I liked as well.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: I especially liked his match with Coga, and his match with Kentas as well.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: They worked that match with Kenta differently that I thought they would, and I thought he handled that well.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, again, like I look at this last show, the show itself was kind of long and boring, like you said.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: Look at these match top.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: They cut a lot of stuff short earlier to have these long matches at the end, and
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that Mossad Kenomatch kind of, it was rough being in the middle, I think if they put that first, it might have even helped the other two matches, or at least a main event a little bit more because I think that they just wanted to get that out of the way, and it's like, it's suffered the same problem that I felt like was to take a brief t-tor, the kick of Pro Wrestling show on New Japan.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's some of my main event, I think we all agree it sucked.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: If we've seen it,
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: and i think a big problem is that even the fans there were like this match sucks we what we want to see is the main event we don't want to see this match please edit and i felt the same way about that boss and kinomatch where it's like uh... we're wasting all this time and what we really want to see is how this ends in the main event
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: So they just wasted everyone's time for no purpose and just to have a lame match So yeah, but one window to wrap back to your question chin.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: Kaito is a good match I agree with you for sure, and I think chin did pretty good.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: I up and down the tournament.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was okay
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: like he wasn't a standout he didn't blow me away he I bring him back I think it's basically what I say he'll be a cheap guy to bring back compared to a lot of these other foregoers like if you need to cut cost uh you you know so
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: to me he's a midcard guy but a fine one like a fine midcard players where I see him uh... you could have him be a you know one off the national title challenger uh... do something there maybe for me tag team with somebody but uh... i do admit that i'm a little biased i root for him because i have a ton of respect for the south east Asian wrestling scene whether it's a really a lot too i mean they got the the Vietnam doc the jacco news and uh... what's the company in Malaysia i i was prepared to
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: All right, is it that Malaysia probe?
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and PW.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Malaysia is doing some good things, Singapore, Pro Wrestling's been around Philippines.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people there.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so they've got a lot of cool stuff going on there.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: So I do root for him, but I thought he was, like you said, I think that's about where I see his stuff is like mid-card level, and maybe form a tag team with somebody.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: So we go to the final show at your Yogi National Stadium,
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: And honestly, that is up from last year because last year's finals was in Korkin, and the year before that was in Eddie on, which did only $1,500 for Keto versus Keto Kimi in 2024, which was an outch.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I think Osawa has some juice here, whatever we make think about him.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think the worst was, do you remember what they read that junior, like all junior, Rio Goku show that was totally tanked, uh, that might have been one of the worst periods.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think about it.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, this is not, that's another period.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: This is probably better than, but, um, I was, I will see, we'll see, we'll talk about how this Rio Goku shows, like, uh, you know, going in there, but let's, let's just break it down.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's, let's just ask this question, which I think everybody would want us to talk about.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: Was this the right choice to win?
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that was our juicer, not.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is this who you would have put over to face Naito in the real Goku show?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think...
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's better him than Kaito.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yes, but is so well, the question is Kaito being him at December 31st or whatever.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he should, but personally, but I mean, I mean, we think it's headed where it was like, who's going to be 9-0 and how long I'm going to keep this on him and I mean, you know, you could have gotten to be completely honest and maybe it was a bit chalk, but why don't you Kaito versus 9-0?
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't really work well, I kind of went here and then, you know, and do you wrestle audits with cameras?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, no, I totally get what you're saying.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any like logic to do a lot of the stuff or definitely any plans.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like when haste came into one the title, that literally came out of nowhere.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was like, hey, he's now in the middle of it.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: There's some small, and it's like, what?
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone was like, you know, this is crazy.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: And it's nothing he gets him as a worker.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's just they, that was all bad.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that was all badly done.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like that, that pushed, unfortunately.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because he actually worked his ass off and still has.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: But him winning randomly was not the way to go about any of that.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, but you have options like you could do Kenno at the at the 31st show.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Kent is always around bar Fuji if he loses the belt.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they pull up pull that out of the hat.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I don't know.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: That's a big risk.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: Has Naito wrestled bar Fuji in this run because I'm not remembering a match of theirs.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: No, like maybe a tag badge.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so no singles match there like one last chance from our food you need to get the bell You're gonna you're gonna you're gonna mean event your biggest show in the year with not over smart food You that could go south very easily Yeah, I think I think this match could go south
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: I agree with that.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think Mar Fuji and I toast worse than Ozawa and I toast like I think this could be one of the worst matches of the year easily like Ozawa and I That's what cut it by expectation actually and Mar Fuji and I told would be bad, but I think it would be like you know the floor for this
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing with the Marfucci matches that you're worried about an injury of some sort of I suppose.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: But from a drawing standpoint, it's your strongest.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: I would take that over Kaito, like a hundred percent.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I'm not even like a Marfucci, like superfan or anything.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: I even said it again on the show.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like the last couple of years, he was like a minus 10, work rate, rate-wise, like one of the worst in the world to me.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like when the Ibuishi match, the Kent title challenge, that was
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: That was so bad.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: I was all I got hurt against them.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think ever since that happened because a lot of people were writing him hard I think he decided hey, I'm actually gonna put more effort in now and he's up to like a four or five out of ten And that's a big upgrade from minus ten You know, I would say it's not who you want ideally, but what's what's nighto on a scale of a one to ten?
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly So I guess what I'm thinking here is like
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, good night, I'll be championing past the end of December, early January.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's impossible at all, especially if, if not, New Japan and Noah are working together.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: He has the most storyline with New Japan and probably the most potential big matches and probably is the only one with stroke that can actually, they would actually put over.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, like the New Japan guys, if you needed that.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't put it past him.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think ideally the thing is this title reign is not borrowed time like nitro cannot hold the title for long You know just the way he is but to be fair he delivered against haste like hasten him had a really strong match together
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the problem with putting him in.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: There's a big difference between haste and Osawa and haste and Marvuji.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: And whoever else, like, would be on the, they come around.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_00]: But so I think ideally you would move it on, but they don't have anybody really pull top.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: They're just gonna have to have a random person win again if they do that.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: If they don't decide to do the legends type of match on Marvuji, maybe they can throw on some kind of career stipulation for that.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like title versus career.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Oh god.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: But Fuji wins.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_00]: I'm rooting for that only for chaos more than anything to see the reaction of people.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not what I would do at all if I was running the company, but again, we're just running it down.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's like Kenow would be a random challenger, like all of these considered, you know, it's like he's a guy who's been on top, but they don't have anything with him in night.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: they have to create it like on short notice and that's true of pretty much everybody mm-hmm maybe Inamura like we're revenge type of match of us nighto you go back to him i don't love it like you know i i don't think there are any good options like it is the problem maybe some sort of outsider like type of you know deal yeah exactly
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, as far as this final show go, I will say nice things about the junior tag kind of match, which exceeded my expectations.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: Now, because everyone in the match was bad, I mean, there's some great wrestlers in this match, and you know that I love you, hey, or did.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, it was a good solid, you know, junior title match in terms of like just what you're going to have to do.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: However, the main event was shit.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it let the tournament down yeah again everyone's gonna say this tournament sucked because the final was so bad And I don't even think it was that bad.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: It just it wasn't interesting per se, but it was not a bad tournament It was a five out of ten Exactly, it had it's it looked like it was okay Think you know, it's just like gonna go off the rails like you think it's gonna go off the rails these guys or in terms of like the Chenanigans
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: yeah there was like a couple of guys that weren't good but for the for the most part it was a good tournament but the final was so bad that that's gonna be the legacy uh-huh like I'm it pretty much it's like oh this terrible final happened um again I personally thought that Kaito would win so they can play off of a WoW winning like that could that felt like a natural completion to the story mm-hmm
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not that surprised that Osawa won over Kaito and I think it's probably a better option Like from if I'm a Noah stand point like if I run the company.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't really blame them for it As a fan, I don't want to see this match.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I think this could be the worst match in the year Like Osawa and Naito and I wouldn't have that expectation if it were Kaito, but
- 34:01[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the title match before was good, uh, definitely not the greatest that Alejandro Baine of that.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think Baine is like best in the world level as a junior heavyweight.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I think he could easily be like if he weren't used in a better circumstance, he would be a guy everybody wants to see and everyone's talking about.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: But because he's where he is and they've been doing this table in Alejandro, which have had really good matches in their title reign, you know,
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's been really good, you know, like it gets pretty much everybody, let it, you know, they've had, they had that Jackie Rita match.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: I remember what the dragging it guys came over, you had the Cotogay match, they had one with O'Hara and one with Hiroki, Lycos Jim guys have overachieved both of those guys in my opinion.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_00]: So you had some really good spots and they stood out, especially Bane, you know, and so I'm glad he's getting into more of a singles run.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: I really hope he wins this belt from him from Fujimura You know, but I think that's a better spot for everybody if you could get out of Hondro and Otsheema as a tag team and did Bane as the singles champion I think the junior division looks at healthy shape just with all of those names like those are basically the names We would all want but unfortunately since democracy has hurt right now
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: but you know besides that I think these are the guys we want hold in the belts and if they get to that I think the divisions and good shape overall so I mean that was the unspiring final show and then we go to of course uh well in between there there's some house shows and the good brothers pop up and it's not going to be a trick way at civil all which will get to you
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: But they sort of came up with their first big show after the end one finals on October 15th at Corkin Hall in front of only nine hundred and twenty seven fans and I and the made event was can no versus massacitemia in a lumberjack death match, but still this this number to me just feels like no was slipping.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what do you think.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, a year or two ago they were the ones like, oh, that was title run.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: They were carrying cork and doing all these big, you know, sold out shows and, you know, I mean, they've really devalued their audience.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, a lot.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's really underrated how, actually, but poorly booked, they are, you know, when you look at this roster, I'm looking at this show right now, these names and it's like, again, I just bring up the question, why should I or any know if I had care about any of these people on this show?
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's no reason that you're running a car, the machine gun said my main event.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: And Masa, you know, lumberjack, goofy match in the main event.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like that match.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm seeing it has a good rating on a cage match.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think that was a good match at all.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, it had its moments, but then it just fell apart at the end.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: As you would sort of expect.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought it was so antithetical like this is not what you should be putting on at any point Like this shouldn't this is a bad second match on the car and to me let alone a man Like let alone a man event and it's nothing against these guys as talents it's how they're used Kenno has nothing going for him in this company You know, I pretty show them that they don't really care about him even though he is no Consistive performer that can has to say the amount of tight spots before
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: And has a popular outside wrestling thing with the YouTube page that everyone loves and talks about.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, you can bring you good pub, but they don't, they don't believe in him.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_00]: They never did.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's why all this time of raids are like, well, sometimes a short is one day.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: And as we saw last year, uh, key to me is another one.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: They don't, they don't believe in hit this guy.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like last year's, well, the tournament was, was such a waste of time.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think they had a chance with him when he beat Nakajima in the cage, like what's that fizzled out?
- 38:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was like that was the end of the road like they showed you what they think of him at that point.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't, okay, I can understand that, but at the same time, maybe there were times where you could have pushed a little farther, but I don't think it's some great tracksity.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: That shit of B.A.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: is like, no, no, I don't know.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_00]: No, but he used to be good like as well, and now he's terrible, so I really don't like like this run But yeah, like but the thing is they gave him the tournament last year with that that Real estate should have gone to somebody else that they actually wanted to push
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know like there's a number of other options.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: They could have given that through last year If this is what we were ready to get from him in 2026 at the end of the day You know like last year you're going back then you had you had a Built in storyline with Indo against Ozawa that never got paid off But like as well even in the year prior you could have at least given that a shot The fans were behind him in his title challenge and gets haste even this year
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: And the point side is about when he won person.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's just they don't believe in these guys You put them in the main event.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: Why are the fans gonna believe in them?
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: So of course this did a bad number Yeah, it's probably one of their worst corrected numbers in quite some time But yeah, I do have a couple of
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, or bright spots to the show.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: First of all, Haroya Namiki versus Yuto Kuenaki for the Grand Prix Junior qualifying match.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we got to talk about Namiki.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't really had a chance to get because he debuted recently and I haven't been watching that much.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: No, undercards because I just been watching the tournament matches, but this guy reminds me of Osama Kitto Kitto.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: in his look in terms of him just being like I got that doesn't look like a wrestler but also is a incredible ass kicker and I love him.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: yeah like i i really like these guys uh uh here like i think that he is uh a guy that is a big player uh overall like uh you know i think that he's a guy like nomnamiki he's a guy that he really feels like he could look at be a guy that's a player in the future in the main event scene uh i think he's got small he is small but uh
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think you know, they're already putting him against Kaito and stuff like that.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: They're giving him chances and he's a guy that when he gets into his big moments, he's already got that down.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like when it's time to get to his big spots, he feels like this could be a big player if they don't mess up at the end of the day.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but so I really hope that everything goes okay.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_00]: They've been working a storyline on Twitter, too Dominique and Koyanagi Uh, they've so they've showed a little personality outside.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I like all of their young guys.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: That to be is like the best part of the company Uh, obviously You know, like because they they could just wrestle and be themselves Like we don't have to worry about them doing stuff with them, but so yeah, I think has a ton of upside Oh, I guess I have bored to say about him in a bit
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I think he's got a ton of upside even talk on how she went.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: He was around before was looking really good There too, so you've got a lot of good dudes on your undercarded like that's another thing that I think would put this above This is who can go and era and some of these other eras This is probably the best they've ever been in terms of rookie wrestlers and people recruiting I don't think they've ever been stronger than they have been right now like when have we had this many good trainees coming out of the Noah dojo
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: Never.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: So there's at least hope for the future even if with the people in charge Just kind of bleak to make us care about them here.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: We have a natural you don't even have to do anything We just care about following the progress and that's why they come across so well They get it's not just one.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's all of them and I really like what they did there I like the idea of them quote, you know leaving the last tournament spot for a rookie and Namiki did did his thing
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was a great choice to win too.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think yeah, you know, it's a surprise given that point.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: I've got I don't know Like yeah, yeah, like ten months But he's really good.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got a ton of potential very small again, but you know, I think he might looks like he's gonna like destroy you
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: These guys are not huge guys, but they look like somebody.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: You'd rather be stick.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: You want them on your side if you're in a back alley.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is a street fight situation.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: You, you're feeling comfortable if you got these guys.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, with you with you pretty much.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: yeah well it's it's funny because the match right after was kind of him yet you should get him or an attitude to tell me defeating uh cougat deco to shaming her to surreal yeah and i was like hey that match was only like seven minutes and forty seven seconds and i wanted to go down the lead see the thing is the thing is jurid if i was ready you know what this would be like my made of it seen
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: like these are like these are the best guys like to be like in the company and they're all interesting oh the shiba I know we all love him so much and what him and even though we know he's not very big uh we know he's even smaller than the other guys like nomicates yeah he's really not really the smallest yeah
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he wrestles so good and like he's so good at this and so really I think he has a huge upside because he actually is big.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's taller than Coga.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know So I like he's got he's got a muscle out and he's gonna be a player like too I think him and Nami key might be the guys who make the jump up
- 43:45[SPEAKER_00]: uh... specially career though like it with his size that i can be an issue that he was like besides the e-mail or a he looked like the biggest guy in this match and he might have been a little taller than it in the uh... just a e-mail is such a wrecking ball uh... a scene there so yeah that this was a really good match so this uh... the show also had the aforementioned unmasking of uh... the and p i uh...
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: which, you know, we already talked about it.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, there was very little to that actual match.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Condo pinned Hayada with a cradle to lead to their GH-200 match upcoming match.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: But the last thing I'll say about the show is I thought the good brothers' matches were perfectly acceptable three-star matches.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: Remember them in the tank tournament earlier this year they got a lot of hype for that Well, I said I said I took it out because I was very anti good brothers, but they have worked hard and with everything else going in on in No, I'm not like I'm like I'll take up
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know like I just what did these guys bring that many other cheaper options Couldn't bring to the table here.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would say cuz I mean that guy was a match with Sawyer sucked Like you know that it was fine that match was bad dude.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_01]: They come on You don't worst Carl Anderson
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, then you know, an interesting match was pretty good.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like it wasn't bad.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: I added thinking it was like this great match or anything like that.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_00]: I will say though that Gallo's being our commentaries like an A that might make me turn around.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like in my intention.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to bring that up.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: He was great on commentary.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: He was.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: He was.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: G-H-C tag titles.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: We've never won them before, you know, they're like the one titles we haven't won that we really want to win there.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Proceeds tag titles.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_01]: Put it over the company.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_01]: Put it over, you know, you know, call in the moves.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was actually, you know what his job was for once.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, no, that's true.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: Both those guys are super charismatic on their podcast stuff like that.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're super likable and very fun dudes So it's nothing personal against them.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just know you know, I just don't like him on commentary.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, like I've signed me up for that These guys going and then messed up a cool match I had a top of it like them being in like I wanted I was actually intrigued by the return of Mad Mikey my guy
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and then the other thing is she'll hit him and Gucci's going to be retiring from accumulated injuries and possibly it didn't run, Becky suffered and of course we got Maybach in the main event, which is the highlight of the made event that she came out and helped Keto.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: I love how what that happened.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, hey, what's this about a hit run?
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: You were like, what did we just look down there and saw that picture of him?
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: He looked horrible and I was like, whoa, like I hope he's okay.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably time to retire for old Maybach.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: I have positive memories of him to be out of style.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_00]: I always thought he was a little
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like the stink of that gimmick followed him around longer than it should have because pretty much as soon as he took the mask off he was a great worker and I think people still kind of thought of him as bad and I think people just never they didn't warm up to him at any kind of major way to be fair he was already a little bit older by that time but his tag runs were really good him and Marfooge is the tag team you've got this thing with Kenta you brought the No Mercy shirt back which I have a lot of fondness for that area
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't have the numbers to shoot.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I have a lot of fondness for that era So I think it's pretty cool for me as a fan It's not gonna be a great match and I'll likely hood, but these retirement matches That's not even the point.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be emotional and cool and a good buy to a long-time member and you know, if you think about it This this roster has very little Connective string to the Misaawa era that everyone loves so much
- 47:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would go on that that's a big loss.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you've basically got Sugira You know And that's about it You know, and it can't add Marfugi of course there, too You know, you've got those guys, but besides that it's just not a lot there and that we're losing another one So that's kind of sad because I have a that's one of my favorite type periods in all of wrestling history is the 2000s of Noah and Lucy that's kind of a bummer for me, but it was time.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_00]: It was it's time
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, he hasn't even been doing anything any way in the last few months, uh, probably I'll, like, I don't even remember the last time he did anything of remote note.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: What was he a part of the, the dancing team with a quiet storm in Yone, didn't he join that?
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was the, he was at fucking express and he's in real.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oh, yeah, real, yeah, with Dekki, yeah, so okay, I guess that counts.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, Huxley.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_00]: Remember Wayne Kobashi was like bearing him for being King Tony?
- 48:40[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, who wants to watch this?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was pretty fun.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know, it's like the poor guy got just shuffled in.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was he was he was a team doe at two, right?
- 48:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he might have been like, you know, say so.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because didn't I want to say the child?
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, I can't remember.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like he was.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: He was on those little break shows, so I think.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure he's friends with those guys too and stuff like I mean he again he he is one of the representatives of true Noah at the end of the day that that's left and there's no way you could argue that with any intelligence pretty much so I really have no problem with him being honored or our big view is like a legend or whatever um
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it says he's not a team Noah, but he might as well have been because he doesn't rest what I've ever made shows and the end of the day.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's fun.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't fucking express, though.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: That is, yeah, it's a fun show.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_00]: King Tony, you know, you got to respect it.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll again, we'll never fool against.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to forget to fool against, but uh,
- 49:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he knows kind of like the main guy of that.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: How long did that last?
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like a few months?
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: That was a whole year for the Hooligans.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's a good good for them.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_00]: Good for them.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_00]: But I long story short, I think we could definitely agree that No Mercy was his best.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's terrible.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_00]: That he was in.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yes definitely.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so I watched a couple of matches from today's show, which was the Massacre and Mia debut 50th anniversary at the Takahoka Teto Dome in front of 555 fans.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: From what I could tell, they could hold more than that, so I don't know if that was me considered a good number or not.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_01]: But first, Dylan, do you watch any of the show bunny shants?
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: I literally started to watch this show when we started the show, so I've had it on the background.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because I want to talk about, okay, good.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: First is kind of versus the meaty.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: That was, that look good.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_01]: That was a good match.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then I watched Koga versus her roto cerrea, which obviously Koga wine with the apple okay.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you something in general.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think of Koga?
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like and how he's done and how they've used this.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I feel like he came in looking good, but it feels like he is momentum is sort of stalled.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: It is ignorant performances are not looking as quiet as polish as I thought they did at first.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's just by current feeling.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he got a really hot start.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_00]: That match with Ozala was super well booked.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that was Ozala was best match.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: actually the tournament and then the postback angel the post match angle i thought was fantastic uh... it made him look like a badass we don't know why he suddenly hates those are what considering how he left uh... you know at the time they kind of filled in those blanks a little bit with the tournament but it was like who cares like this rules and then it kind of was like a steady he didn't move up from it i don't think he went down too much but he didn't go up and we wanted him to really a sinned it's kind of like
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's he's he's in no way and he they wanted us to make sure to remember that he is still I know a wrestler I feel like but I don't think he was a standout player in the tournament and I haven't actually watched that match in Serie A I do have to say I just got through the Kaito and Namaki match.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was good But I do think that could be a good match again.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_00]: I threw Serie A his flowers I think Koga has a chance and let's face it He could have been dead on arrival when they gave him the work in progress
- 52:20[SPEAKER_00]: But he wrestled in a way that really worked I think and again, he's not great And I don't think we should accept that expect him to be but I like his style I think there's a future where he becomes a good player I don't know if you'll ever be the guy, but I think he's our talented dude that could have a really good run if they play their cards
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: for sure.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: He is to borrow the first still a worker progress but I think he's in the right track generally.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: And then made of that, which was the 15th anniversary match, Mosquito Mio, and Tecashissa Garov versus Michiquita Mornshade Hayes.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: It was actually pretty good.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: There was a little bit of cheating in the end there with, uh,
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: not a full run-in, but like some rough distraction in a chair shot that leading to the diving centon, but for a main event, featuring 10, 2000, it was actually kind of restrained and were focused on like the kidney mev versus enumerous stuff, and so I actually would say that it was one of the better recent, no main events, which is in a high bar, but still.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and again, I feel bad because I've always said I want to like Noah You know, I made that big post when Strikas stepped back for the eastern area like I'm watching this in one I've given me this company a fresh start like I'm getting rid of all my negative feelings of the past years I just want them
- 53:42[SPEAKER_00]: like I want to judge them as they are and watch them and I want to like this company but they make it really hard it is what we've figured out you know it seems like they're working against that a lot of the times but I tried and I'm still trying but when you hear things like that that this team 2000X match with the team that I hate
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: To this point we key to be in Sugira is the best match in in a while in the made events.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's not good It's like that's not a good sign because it's probably gonna be better than the the re-a-go crew made event too And it's just a little sad for me, Gerard It is what it is though
- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: So, we'll just look at real quick preview of Wrestle Odyssey 2, which is next weekend.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_01]: The Dark Mashes at Tisha Katogae and Herokey versus Herodosarid Haroyan Amikki, which I think actually is a good little veterans versus young guys match.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: for the G.H.C.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Junior Heavyweight Tag Team title, Yohan, Dune Masaoka versus Alejandro Dekyotashima, which I think could be good if it's given some time and not with the Team 2000 Exploship.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: You got a four-way tag match, which is just endowed.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_01]: Tetsuya, endowed, Yuta Koenag.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: in Unicornia and Oggy versus Bouchy and Ryusei versus Alfa Wolf and Tata Skate versus Cazer.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: You keep for Cheetah and Blackbence, the real guy everyone on the card match.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: The final Maybach, which I think is actually a good retirement match for it, is actually Kenta and Maybach, Tata Gucci versus Mossa Kidding Me and Ticosi Sugira.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_01]: How do you feel about that one?
- 55:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, I like the match honestly and again, these were kind of the guys left.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Kita Mia was originally like the, like Kitsuke office guy first, but this is still the link though to the old school.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is about as good as you can get a split with bar Fuji in a title match.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_00]: uh... you know on his own so i like it a lot i think they did a good job uh... re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, which, again, you've got to have to give this at least 15 minutes and it's gonna be a banger, honestly.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think it means anything, but I think it's a good match on paper.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Koga's there to eat the fall.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: You presume whoever with this will probably be up in line.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_00]: Remember for the title at some point as well.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_01]: And then for the GHC national title, Mar Fugie first is Monte as we already talked about, which is the baffling build.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, Monte wins, but maybe because they unmasked him earlier, he's not going to.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_01]: He still booked for DG shows next month.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, I don't know what to make him.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_01]: When MPI came in, it felt like MPI was going to win the title.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't feel like that anymore.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_00]: See, that's a sign that this is not a well-booked run that we're on right now.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I don't want to come across as this Mar Fuji defender, but I've liked his title run, like well enough, like honestly, it's not been a bad run.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_00]: I thought his match with Kenta was way better than the World Title match last year with Kenta was champion.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's still like not great.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was like a three and a half star match.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, but it wasn't like the other one was like a zero.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, again, where we're going by the marifuji comparisons.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the match with condo was old school fun for me, like all Japan, junior champion days, so back in old age.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, nine or so.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_00]: I like his run.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't mind him losing the Montet.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to put over a new kind of foreign threat that again is not expensive for you to use.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think again, I think Montet is a good choice stylistically for LTJ, you know.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of what you want with bringing in new guys in my opinion isn't so much.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: it's very rare you're going to get it a plus talent so you have to look at people who fit in roles and i think that's a problem with a lot of companies now like even in america with a w you'll see them sign a lot of guys add they have to like they don't have a role for like machine guns you know like they find they had a great match because they lot of wrestle but they weren't really ready to bring them in when they signed them and you'll see new
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: You a lot of guys will say hey, maybe this guy like we go left a lot of people thought that maybe go can go to New Japan And he's the kind of guy they should want on paper But they would not have a role for somebody like that and he just get wasted Whereas here with Monte he actually has a built-in role that makes sense He could be night hose right hand man.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good position to be in
- 58:35[SPEAKER_00]: get a secondary belt and try to do something with it.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think he definitely needs to change his gear from the MPI stuff You know, I think that would be a good idea.
- 58:44[SPEAKER_00]: Just get rid of all that crap and bring us full montay that we saw a dg See what you could do with it.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I don't think he's a top to your talent in my opinion But I think the role is good for him and this can be I would say this is going to be a six
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like the floor for this is like a four or five and the height is like a six or a seven like they how good it can be But that's not a bad midcar match, but ideally you would want something better for your national title Yeah, exactly and then Three-way gishy tagged out of Ashman, Vistoria, and you can you know versus Shane Hastin, Mike Dinkles versus Carl Anderson and Doc Gallones I don't like three ways, but I'm not particularly offended by this and it could be okay We'll have to see how if Matt Mike team wants to like start sniffing everybody
- 59:30[SPEAKER_00]: See, I was super into this when they brought him back.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, I think it should be a two versus two, but yeah.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_00]: And when they brought him to good brothers, this is like this went from like a seven or eight on my interest scale to like a one.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like I have no interest in this match.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care who wins.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I praised passion max in the past as well.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, because this is the kind of stupid gimmick I usually hate and all of wrestling, but I've always said these two are so earnest with it.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_00]: that i can't help but actually like them and so clear that they're having fun and that this is very real to them that i've gre- they've somehow wore i've somehow warmed up to them and think they're a good team and i think they work well as big guys both of them and i wasn't even a big fan of you know it in ddt i don't think he had any many memorable matches at all or anything like that but again in this role he's fit really well
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_00]: I thought them having a banger type of match with TMDK is good, watching some convoluted three way with the good brothers as a 13, I just why should I care about this again, like no matter who wins, again there's no interest in the winner, there's no reason for me to think the match will be good, I just don't know what to think of this match, other than negativity.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy to see bad luck.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_00]: He deserves a shot.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_00]: She had that someone.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, Fujimura is not like this is one of the worst characters to me and wrestling and I get that he It was gonna be really tough for him to break through as his baby face rod They had that moment with him in Hiromu where it looked like he might be ready to take a step forward last year and then they went this route with him and
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_00]: they've got he got the title out of it but at what cost you know at the end of the day it's like it's like a dg like dragon gate with the clown guys like yes you you got to achieve your goal of debuting but you had to do this like this is what you had to sacrifice for it and was it really worth it because this is like a career killing gimmick to me that that Fujimura has
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: I have zero interest in this match and I only hope I won't say zero because I want Bain to win because he deserves it and is such a massive improvement over in Fujimura I have a Ruti interest as a fan at least to help for for that a little bit Where's the other match?
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care if anybody wins this one I at least have a strong interest in who wins So there's that but just we know what this match is gonna be and I don't want to watch it
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_00]: it's like we also know that I don't want to watch it.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it is what it is.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then, uh, made of it to see a night over Zala, which we have already gone through over.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: But, uh, it should be noted to say that I took a look at the ticket sales today, and there's not a single section sold out, not even the front row, although the front row says it's close to being sold out, but I don't think this this show is going to do very well.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's bad because like normally I'd be like, uh, you know, I get it.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's no while we're doing this show and the midst of like three back-to-back real Goku shows.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: It was going to be tough probably.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: But their problem is that they made a storyline with Nitro say, hey, this show is a measuring stick against New Japan, you know, how, like, how close are we to our big rival promotion?
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I think now everyone's going to kind of zoom in on the attendance for this.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it's going to look good at the end of the day, you know, it's one of the things that it might be better just to not bring that up go go I think that night I was now showing that he is diminishing return.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think his whole run is shown that.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do it to be honest like what big house is your box office.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm saying it for box office.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: What big house is he drawn to know.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_00]: That make show wasn't anything at all.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: That was a very poor leg.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's on.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's on spot shows that are drunk through 30 people.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, I have anything.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: That was going to be my question to you.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: Was like, do you think this is kind of like exposed his legacy a little bit?
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like, at least it was a current popularity.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think, uh, well, I can't hold it against it, legacy, necessarily, no, I mean, I think it's kind of obvious with some wrestlers that get away with, uh, falling apart in the ring, uh, but it just seems so sudden and obvious with NIDO, because he's also not his own, that someone like Budo, it's just like, it looks real bad.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_00]: and i just don't think he means that much to know a fan specifically like either and i think that really hurt i think if he came back to new Japan you might be able to get one good house out of him but i think the days are him being the top star and i don't blame them for putting the title on him either like you you've got to at least
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: And remember that haste that haste run was not successful at all like from a box office standpoint So I totally get why you would do it.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_01]: You have to get juice from the squeeze But I kind of think it's not worth it anymore like we're back to the muto logic And remember when they said they remember when the group that reports came out that they wanted to sign a rushing off say
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, yeah, I forgot that but when he made that one off of appearance on like the cork and jett The January cork and a few years ago, yeah, but the point is like while you've botched Kind of and you don't give a shit of a cano and here we are again try to go with the The badly beat up old guy.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's a battle, but you know what I mean?
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing though.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you this though.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_00]: After Daito and I don't think it'll be here, but whether it's here, whether it's on the 31st, whether it's next year, is he worth having in Noah?
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you are like running this company, I don't think he is.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_00]: You also get to get rid of Bouchy.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_00]: If you get rid of Daito, there you go.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's edition by subtraction, and I don't think he's proven.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_00]: I totally agree with putting the title on him I agree with bringing him in.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with building him up.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think this should be it though I think he should win this match and lose and then that should be the end of him and Noah You know, yes, and he can he can finish up his career in New Japan and then he can come back to New Japan
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think he will, like, I personally think his career is not going to end without picking a new Japan again in my opinion, but I guess if he still holds some kind of grudge, maybe he could do that.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's just biting his time until, you know, he's able to get to America more frequently and he could do that U.S. run.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: He tried to have a couple of years ago that didn't pan out, unfortunately.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, maybe he's holding out for that and then he can go back to the new Japan, but where else does he go like if if not new Japan?
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: He could go and wrestle canto.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's a joke.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I feel like given what NATO were NATO's philosophy is.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_01]: The likelihood of him popping up in all Japan seems somewhat greater.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't end up back in New Japan.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing stopping that is his ego at the end of the day.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_00]: because if he can accept that he's not going to make the money that he did uh... you know and he he wasn't able to produce for no uh... and now he has to take a pay cut then there's no reason he wouldn't go there like if you know one of the other options sides there and at the end of the day you know
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect it.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying I feel like if he's going to be diminishing returns beginning to show through He's going to find himself in All-Japan or more like you by the stuff in all-Japan.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_00]: My bet my bet is he's think they just keep heading him
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_00]: It no, like Moodle put in a good word.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_00]: The people backstage will run it and that'll just keep having him around just to have him.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_01]: Even if he doesn't drop for sure.
- 1:07:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's uh, I know the junior tournaments coming up, but that doesn't start until like November 9th.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll prove that preview that on our next episode.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_01]: I frankly also had enough of that.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to like this company.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: I really do.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just it has all the tools and it's just completely waste them.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_01]: So let's move on to Al Jepan for their raising an army memorial series.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: Starts on October 3rd in Gaiota, Green Arena, Maine Arena in front of the 167 fans, which for Spockshow that's a good number for Al Jepan.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: And, uh,
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to go through this whole card, but first of all, I do have to point out the opening match of Kengo Machimo and Daisuke Sakamoto versus Kuma Rashi and Uya Aoki were second motor made Aoki submit to the back breaker.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: This was a lot of fun, and this is what I want to see from Aoki in all Japan.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: the other companies missed out not yet like this is a guy every company should have been an including new Japan like i think he's the kind of guy they would it would really be valuable to have in that midcard role i'm not saying he can make event the company but i work rate never title level guy like him
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_00]: Like that could help a lot of these young guys Look even better than they are because all he does is help.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I go over the divert that would be amazing Like our him and wolf like going on it like I want to see that match like if they did that Cuz all he does an ultra pan is make everyone else around him look better
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_00]: you know and when he's been with you know good workers like uh... second bodo and can go uh... he makes them look better he made a rush you look better this was a really good matchman like uh... you know i i love that everybody knows i love second bodo and and musimo uh... at the end of the day
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a fun, this whole, like, this whole run we're about to talk about is so good.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like for all of your fans at my event, you know, it's such a 180.
- 1:09:26[SPEAKER_00]: What were you talking about before?
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I have some plot takes on some of the, that's just on these shows coming up.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_01]: how much we disagree, but, you know, in terms of the show, the semi-main was the triple crown skirmish of Kentel and go versus haunted Ayabbe, which Kentel pinned Honda with with the shut down German Suplex.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: They traded pins.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was actually a pretty good match and Ayabbe's come a long way.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_01]: Ayabbe's come a long way.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's still a little wonky and I
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_00]: yeah absolutely i think but the thing is before he was like so bad and i really disliked watching him anytime he was wrestling i think this year he's proven to be a totally fine member of the roster and like a good upper midcard player like honestly yeah i would keep it back that upper midcard position for a while oh i wouldn't put the title on but yeah they were i feel like someone in that company wants to but they for now at least no bit
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they should.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_01]: They should definitely know better and the main event for the PWF world junior heavyweight title Dad Tamber did feel sicky as you open and rematch from the junior festival finals in 2225 with the last ride and once again another
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Barry could perform some both of these men and I mean Dan is happy one of the best junior heavyweight runs this year like I think I have to write a case for him of why he's the should vote for him in the as the junior heavyweight of the year in the observer.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is freaking awesome.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yoshioka is freaking awesome.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I've always loved him even back to what he was in Noah I thought he was one of the most underrated guys like I'm always considered him to like he's such a creative and unique style on the ring And then this is like a match made in heaven for me because you have that and then on the other end it's like
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I just like to beat people up.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just a power junior who's a badass, no nonsense guy.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I wrestle good.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any gimmick or anything like that.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_00]: No special moves.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have any really, like, cool moves on paper.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm supposed to face it.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, I like it.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have any super lags, but I really get this very basic.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's a meathead pro wrestler who is amazing at it.
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_00]: I love this match man Like I thought this was a tremendous match One of the best you know of the year in terms of the juniors and they've had a lot of good matches this year in the junior headweight race I think this rain is gangbusters like you know you look at what he's done You know the match.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_00]: He won't say go.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_00]: I thought was a great match
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: The Doi match was a ton of fun and now we have the Yoshioka one to follow it and he's been good even in the build-up tags that in the tournament they had to Both of these guys really shown Especially Tomorah, I think you know he's really getting that shine and they're doing a good job pushing him putting him in the main event here These guys in the main event here You know you're making sure to establish and hey
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, nobody's trying to say that he's on the level of Kento as a star to the company, but he is an important part of the roster that matters at all the fans of all Japan should care about.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_00]: This was a really, really good match.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the first of a few, there we have to talk about.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, can you hear me?
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can hear you.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I just, I don't know why.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, my computer is strangely frozen at everything like that, but you were talking about a great Dan was, and then that's when it started happening.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_01]: I took a thing.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_01]: but I think the point is taken and so we'll just move on to the next show which or I should say rising high arrow came out to challenge should be great match look like he's another guy that I there's no reason not to expect that to be awesome absolutely doing
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, okay, my computer's completely frozen, but it's I think it is still somehow recording Say it is.
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's still recording it says.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, then We're gonna try to wing this with what I can
- 1:13:30[SPEAKER_01]: on the run sheet okay so send a son Plaza sorry if this is actually never happened like recorded before so I have no clue what's in it all but I can see on my screen so send a son Plaza 2157 bands once again the sados are tip top draws you got to respect it that's why they pushed them to the level they do
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so I mean in terms of what was on this show, this gay or a TV title match with Saki Bochis and Kimbers, yes, Taki Yado.
- 1:14:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was really good.
- 1:14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was a great match.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't be honest with you.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it was a great match.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of figured it out by people.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Yano doesn't really necessarily stand out or say I thought, but I think that
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_00]: I love to comment on the cage match the view was like well there ever be a reason for motivated mochizuki to show up in DG because we've seen him as champion do great things you know like with the in the tournament when he brought him in him doing the TV title stuff has been a lot of fun.
- 1:14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yano was a young wrestler they want to put in there I do agree he's not really a standout and this match compared to the others was like
- 1:14:50[SPEAKER_00]: like I put it below the the top matches for sure but for what they're doing it just shows you the strength of this roster to where you could dip down to a guy who's what are the lowest ranked members on the card and you put them in a title match and he could deliver against the Bochizuki level guy like that uh... you know and Bochizuki is just to again I can't speak enough
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_00]: To despite the guys they have to that's another thing I think all Japan gets right we were talking about Noah with nighto in these guys And barfujian all that I think would they bring in old guys with the exception of one guy.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna talk about I think it all
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a champion that was well, but but when they bring in their old dudes, it's like go suwa ba mochi second mode Oh, can go it's like all these great veterans.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's like who cares how old they are.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_00]: They rule and they can get the best out of any opponent So you know, you know, I really liked the way all Japan their roster topped the bottom is just really really good I would say throw that they they're able to create situations like this
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_00]: where a third rate title for all intents and purposes can have a really effective midcard match that the fans are into.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely.
- 1:16:00[SPEAKER_01]: So, in terms of this show, I will give them also, I mean, I thought the sort of triple-crowned skirmish match with Ken Toe and Hadecki versus Honda and I Abbey was good.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Once again, Mia Harat pinned Honda with the shut down for that very strange build to this title match, but before that.
- 1:16:18[SPEAKER_01]: It ended later, because there's even more to this, and then always a tag title, uh, decision match, because, uh, ASCII got injured.
- 1:16:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're launching the SEKI issue of good-to-fitted Dan Tentler and SEKI talk to you about it.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_01]: In 25, 20, with the Nitsinit Chiru from Usashi on Touchy Bonnet to win the titles again.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, I mean,
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_01]: I really did like this match.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_01]: It just went a little too long before it picked up towards the end.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what were your feelings on this?
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_00]: I totally get that way of thinking, but I do think they kept a really good pace to this match, and I also thought that this was a match that worked for the crowd.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, I think that's another thing all Japan has underrated.
- 1:16:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think you guys have made this point.
- 1:17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Their crowds are among the best in any company.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_00]: to me like it's consistent at that point where you could get away with great things constantly and you and even if it's not great the crowds will kind of follow you through it if you're an ultra pan wrestler at this point in time even if you're not that pushed or anything like that you know you're doing some really great stuff so
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_00]: I do totally agree that it was a little bit long, but I still really enjoyed it for what it was.
- 1:17:28[SPEAKER_00]: How can you blame him with these four guys?
- 1:17:31[SPEAKER_00]: You knew it was going to be good, I thought it was really strong booking too.
- 1:17:35[SPEAKER_00]: You had Sakey take the fall and the previous match and now they get theirs back.
- 1:17:40[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, even though there is, I will always want to say go touch him on and have a championship, no matter what it is, that's one of my golden rules as a fan, is that say go must always be a champion, so I was a little bit rooting for them.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_00]: That said, Musashi and Seiki are just a fantastic team.
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_00]: And there's...
- 1:17:59[SPEAKER_00]: there's no reason they can't be one of the best high teams in all of the world if they were given if this rain goes long and they even have one like they did the last time then we're going to be in front of the great allegea rain like there's no doubt my mind about it because these guys have amazing chemistry they rocked and like they didn't have to bring their aim to get an A plus match even they may not have been an A plus match but it was a really good match uh... with dad and say go
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_01]: So this way we have a disagreement because I've seen a very opinions on this match with the made event.
- 1:18:32[SPEAKER_01]: We'll take the title June set or a race set or defeated.
- 1:18:35[SPEAKER_01]: You may aoyaki and you may end Zion 3132 or the yagigami cyclone on June versus aoyaki.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_01]: Now look, I understand it went too long.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_01]: I did like this match quite a bit.
- 1:18:46[SPEAKER_01]: Others were not so high on it.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_01]: They complained about the crowd
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think you just have to price in the crowd brawling into a cytosmatch, like what are you going to get?
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_01]: I was just not going to complain about Yuma, Ayoyaki, we're sharing too late in pop.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he also didn't late in pop in the famous business tag versus cytosmatch in Sendai, where the cytosmatch was one of the tag titles for the first time.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_01]: I can understand the way, I get it.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_01]: But on the whole, I still really did enjoy this match in front of a very hot crowd
- 1:19:20[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like, when you watch this match, there's really only one thing that you're, you know, the real feeling that you should have coming out of it.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_03]: And that to me is, With the dream, well, yes.
- 1:19:33[SPEAKER_00]: This match was so freaking good.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe people don't like it.
- 1:19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I saw people that, like, the audience, take team match better.
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I can understand that.
- 1:19:43[SPEAKER_01]: But they were sort of like, you know, like, three and a half on this type thing.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's about where I go.
- 1:19:52[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think it was like way better than the all Asia tag match, but I thought I would put it as the match of the night for sure.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the time when they went through the wall was so, like, so good.
- 1:20:03[SPEAKER_00]: I thought, yeah, I guess there was a little bit of light and pop into it, but I mean, this is the site of brothers.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_00]: Are we really expecting them to have the traditional, you know, King's Road, holy demon army tag?
- 1:20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's not who they are, that is a team.
- 1:20:18[SPEAKER_00]: So to have and I think I said it before I'll make this point again.
- 1:20:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Yagi to me has a strong case for in-ring like best wrestler for all Japan this year Just in terms of consistency Quantity quality this guy is so great and odds I he like could do no wrong.
- 1:20:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's like the perfect for wrestler to me
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_00]: Every time I see him, he just always delivers huge, and I think they're matched together, and let's not forget, they're coming off of match, that's almost universally considered a match to the year level match against each other in the semi-final of the Odo tournament.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_00]: So to bring that kind of swag to this match against the hometown team and it was like the crowd It's like they just kind of lost themselves.
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_00]: There was no longer like we're rooting for the hometown guys That's just we love everybody.
- 1:21:05[SPEAKER_00]: They were cheering for the U buzz.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_00]: They were cheering for the side toes Crazy stuff was happening.
- 1:21:10[SPEAKER_00]: This was just a lot of fun.
- 1:21:12[SPEAKER_00]: This was like the match remember the all-asha match when we had Ishine and
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Current open the dream gate world champion Yushki Kato against yeah, Hayato and Otsuki That was like this match but turned up even further like on steroids.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I really enjoyed this match a lot I thought it was a great made of it.
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_00]: This was a great show man like all like great
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like every match, like outside of the first couple, you know, because you had like, I saw one, I don't know what I'm going to do.
- 1:21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's cut that part out.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Once we got to the TV title, like the main part of this card was like really strong show.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's funny, because I was like, am I an island here?
- 1:21:58[SPEAKER_01]: I really enjoyed this rate of event.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a lot of that, that like the holidays.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's a tag team match better.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I saw people that didn't really like either of them because they thought both tag batches went way too long.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_01]: So I am somewhat relieved that I'm not an island here Dylan.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so we'll go to the very next day.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:22:16[SPEAKER_01]: This is what I've been waiting for.
- 1:22:18[SPEAKER_01]: OK, well, let's just start with the main event here.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's made a vent conno.
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_01]: Are you ready for a general deck he's Suzuki massive you can kind of show the Kufuji I'm reading this off of my phone because my computer is frozen Defeated right kihonda kuma rashi and say go touchy bata in 16 minutes with the ground monget got to me from kufuji or I'm
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_01]: on Hadekki, on a rashie, to win the titles.
- 1:22:48[SPEAKER_01]: What did you think?
- 1:22:50[SPEAKER_01]: Because I thought this was just okay.
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this match was too long.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_01]: I never mind the other matches from before.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, this title is a long match, I'm sorry.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_00]: you go back and look at them.
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_00]: And listen, I get that we're doing this wrestle one tribute act.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_00]: I Kona was a champion there too and and Hedeki was the champion and Kofuji's involved in this for some reason and it's just like I thought this was like super it's not like it was bad and it's kind of like the n1 like you said a 5 out of 10 level but it was so, so bone dry.
- 1:23:26[SPEAKER_00]: like even with the charismatic guys like we've seen he'd be a good guy like to have fun matches and do do stuff like that cofuji we both love a lot you are one of the first ones that were on his train uh... i'd say goes like the man too like we both loved him early too uh... you know so it's like we get we've got good guys in this match but there was way too much kono in way too much rashi and that's not going to be good for me
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_00]: The other day in Gerard, but this is what we have.
- 1:23:54[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about how great the last shows were and the main events and then the Pacific Cono was who we turned to.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_00]: I love it in some ways, but I also don't want to watch it actually either.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're not going to preview the Hokkaido tour because we'll be back before the Hokkaido tour happens to do a show after the cork in and after a rest of the Odyssey, but Kona was on the whole Hokkaido tour, so I'm going to get a little worried about how long he's hanging around for him.
- 1:24:25[SPEAKER_01]: Who made that call?
- 1:24:26[SPEAKER_01]: You think like it was like you know who we need to bring in Kono.
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's funny cuz him and go or sort of like never really crossed past that much except for about six months in all Japan in 2013 So I don't know who's behind this go or Kono stuff.
- 1:24:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of baffling.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he did he?
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they were in Russell one together.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe maybe
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_01]: And then on this show, I would recommend June and Ray versus Kentron rising hydro in the semi-main.
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was a fun match.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_01]: And also, there was Yuma Ayoyagi and Dan Tamerd, defeated Goshio Zaki and Sekiyoshioka in 1840 with a jack-dave hold from Tamerah on Yoshiyoka.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_01]: And that match rocked.
- 1:25:05[SPEAKER_01]: And that was good match.
- 1:25:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:25:08[SPEAKER_00]: How could that not be?
- 1:25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I even thought odds I don't worry was a decent, you know, oh, more we I kind of know about expectations.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was like an eight midcard singles man, yeah, it was a not a any kind of great match, but, you know, like, back to back with, and I think because that I saw a match was right behind the two.
- 1:25:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's like man like you know think these people we started off with havoc and then I saw a number one in yando And it's like I don't want to watch this and then we see that Dan and now yagi and go and say You imagine you're like all your pain.
- 1:25:42[SPEAKER_00]: Why did I doubt you and I thought I was not in a worried
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I thought they had a good midcard match and the rest of the show was okay, and then that made event was just like, you know, again, I don't want to criticize it.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like it was just terrible match.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, it's just so boring.
- 1:25:56[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:25:57[SPEAKER_01]: You could do better without Kono in that six band scene.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_01]: But speaking of good dad, midcard singles match featuring you man's eye, we can go to the Shin Kiba first ring show on the 15th in front of 334 fans, which is,
- 1:26:10[SPEAKER_01]: What is a supernova agency full house in Shinkiba for all Japan?
- 1:26:13[SPEAKER_01]: First back to the show was Yuma Anzai defeating Usashi in 11 in 1058 with the gimlet, and this was good, and it was better than Okato versus Anzai.
- 1:26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was like, yeah, um, and then other stuff on the show that I enjoyed, honestly, was June and Ray teving with Seki Yoshiyoka, which I actually liked that dynamic.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it served off with a lot of goofiness, but I actually got it turned out well in the end.
- 1:26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I liked that too.
- 1:26:46[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't really know that much about Kimura, but I thought that he didn't find.
- 1:26:51[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that he did a good fun, spirited match.
- 1:26:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'd for a Shin Kiba third from the bottom to a trio match, it could have gotten a lot worse.
- 1:26:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was actually pretty good.
- 1:27:01[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and then there was go and Yano and you're a okay defeating Hedeki can go and show the Confucian eleven forty five with a go pinning Confucian that was solid.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was I was I like that Really good.
- 1:27:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then the semi-meter fan
- 1:27:17[SPEAKER_01]: You may aoyaki is beating nice to you Kikono in 1431 with the end game now dealing This is about as good as you're gonna get for a 2026 Kono singles is the nicest thing I can say next to human That's fair That's very fair.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think that when you're gets Kono in a singles match Again, this could again, it should keep on top of it if this had been a terrible match It wouldn't have affected anything
- 1:27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you wouldn't have changed anyone's opinion of anyone or changed the trajectory of the company any meaningful way But you just got a little basic a semi-man event match.
- 1:27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Yagi's always bringing his charismatic self to thing So he kind of spiced it up a little bit Definitely not something I'd recommend or anything like hey watch this match drill Drop the show and drop everything and watch it, but it's like hey, you know if you watch it you won't hate yourself for it It's a decent little match
- 1:28:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then the main event was a junior and triple crown title skirmish, and it was Honda and Hayato, you could encounter and Dan Tamer in 1514 when Honda finally pins Kento with the horizontal cradle.
- 1:28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Good match, good main event.
- 1:28:24[SPEAKER_01]: I actually quite like the show, but Dylan, what I wanted to say is, what do you think of this booking in going into the hot summer?
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_01]: because assuming Kato is winning, this would tie his defense record of 10, and I'm assuming they're breaking the record otherwise, if they're not, I would have put this title on and so I buy that up.
- 1:28:44[SPEAKER_01]: So, but this booking is not that weird.
- 1:28:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're kind of like we feel like what I said earlier in Noah about, uh, Masa, like that's kind of how I feel like all Japan seeing Honda right now because this is not how you book a challenger for a title match.
- 1:28:59[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not that hard.
- 1:29:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's like these these aren't meant all Japan and it's core is the main thing.
- 1:29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Also, on this pin, the canto on multiple occasions prior to this few, he's pinned up in the world road in singles matches, multiple times, he's pinned him in tags.
- 1:29:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand why this weird canto domination, and then Honda's squeaking on a flash pin.
- 1:29:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it makes no sense if you actually look at their whole history.
- 1:29:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was my problem with that.
- 1:29:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, we made this feel like a big deal because he got
- 1:29:36[SPEAKER_00]: here like it's like what what what is this you know like why did we do this like so weird and backwards booking and it just makes me feel like they are like yeah we have to do this match like we gave we threw Honda a bone and now we have to do this thing that we would really rather not do but we're gonna just go for it.
- 1:29:57[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, we don't want to put anybody over one way or the other, so just kind of trade stuff and we'll get to the match, and it'll be fine, because Kento always gets over in the main event.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_00]: And it feels like there wasn't a lot of thought put into this, certainly not in a positive manner, I would say.
- 1:30:13[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, the inside cradle finish.
- 1:30:16[SPEAKER_01]: was really weird to like why didn't you just have them do the the final fence like it's fine like you said he's beat them before it's not like this is some turning point in his career air the way that this is being booked is like Honda is this crazy underdog yeah this beaten candle at canto on multiple occasions already before so that's why the logic is all off and
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like remember in the New Japan when it seemed like every few months Go to a win mid-card title of some sort maybe like he's finally won the big one It's like hey wait a minute.
- 1:30:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's done this five times in the last two years, and it's like the same thing here with Honda getting this win It's like he finally snuck out a win over the mountain.
- 1:31:02[SPEAKER_00]: He finds he's finally climbed it's like no he hasn't he's been a ton of times
- 1:31:07[SPEAKER_00]: before.
- 1:31:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, very weird way of going about it.
- 1:31:11[SPEAKER_00]: If he had just been in with the final vent, I could at least maybe trick myself into thinking, okay, they're telling a story where he's finally building momentum and that's his story.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 1:31:20[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't do it like that at all.
- 1:31:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it just was that we were going to get you a pop for like some cradles that Honda will try in the time and that I think.
- 1:31:28[SPEAKER_00]: I would be so on for that.
- 1:31:29[SPEAKER_00]: If they had made that a gimmick for Honda, where he had a like some kind of special flash pin that he won his matches with, maybe he could have done that in the final even of the Odo tournament, and that's his new secret weapon.
- 1:31:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's never beat.
- 1:31:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's never won the Triple Crown.
- 1:31:44[SPEAKER_00]: So he's come up with this new hold to steal the title from Kento.
- 1:31:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be a great story.
- 1:31:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that would fit him.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could do that the kind of wrestler the kind of character he is.
- 1:31:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be a great idea.
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not what they did and all of them though.
- 1:31:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's us saying that would be a better idea than what they actually did, unfortunately.
- 1:32:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that leads us to the show on the 22nd this coming Thursday.
- 1:32:07[SPEAKER_01]: We've got Kadekis Suzuki versus Shota Kafuji, Dan Tamera, Satellitechibana, Okotou O'Morey, and U.
- 1:32:15[SPEAKER_01]: The A.O.K.
- 1:32:15[SPEAKER_01]: versus Musashi, Seki Oshilka, rising Hayato, and New Talk.
- 1:32:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we talked with Yano.
- 1:32:21[SPEAKER_01]: That can be a good match.
- 1:32:22[SPEAKER_01]: The set of brothers versus Habit, June set of Ray Seto, and Mr. Seto and Newarky,
- 1:32:31[SPEAKER_01]: Calbloom, and then Suwama, or sorry, all Japan versus guys at the Coru, you may air Yagi, you may Anzai, Renai, and Renai Abe versus Madoka Kakuta, Ishiin, and Yoshiki Kato, Suwama, and Go, versus Ken Go, Machimo, and Dysuke Sekamoto, a Dylan special, if there ever was one.
- 1:32:52[SPEAKER_01]: can't tell me a horror versus rakey hodder for the triple crown.
- 1:32:56[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I'm I had some modern interest in the show, but the built-in can't tell where it's hot has nothing very good.
- 1:33:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not as height as I could be for this show to be completely honest with you.
- 1:33:08[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm curious to see Cal Bloom.
- 1:33:11[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see Gajia Dukoro, and I'm assuming they're announcing the real little tag league participants on that show.
- 1:33:17[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 1:33:17[SPEAKER_00]: and i like what they've done with suama go uh... like to is a lot like to continue that anytime they've been in the same ring together it's been money for me so let's see what they could do with a different different way now uh... yeah i i like that doesn't don't close coming in and i think i could have had a good run in the carnival and he had a really good run last year i thought uh... and
- 1:33:41[SPEAKER_00]: Kato is the current champion of dragon game not kukuta so I wonder if they're gonna play with that in some way in this match And the thing about kato is kind of like a kukuta, but these guys are not your like mochizuki junior heavyweight guys They're legit heavyweight
- 1:33:59[SPEAKER_00]: uh... so you can do something a little bit more if they want to do it uh... but it seems like it would be a good idea to have maybe built to a bigger match uh... i think one thing that will happen is some version of this team will have a team in uh... real world tag league like that that feels like a perfect set up for that is to have a gosh and don't grow team in the tag league exactly exactly
- 1:34:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's all Japan and Dylan, you should get your plugs in because I have to do something very weird here because my computer is still frozen, but to stop that I basically have to turn my computer off.
- 1:34:32[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're gonna say a prayer, then this works here, yeah, so yeah, go ahead.
- 1:34:39[SPEAKER_00]: Check out the new Eastern Lariat, me and Amy Hay, she's known for writing the best year of the year.
- 1:34:45[SPEAKER_00]: She's been doing it a few years.
- 1:34:46[SPEAKER_00]: I got a ton of buzz from that.
- 1:34:48[SPEAKER_00]: She's hopped on with me and become a recording partner, a tag team partner, doing some big things with the new Eastern Lariat.
- 1:34:56[SPEAKER_00]: We went from red to yellow and then the logo color, things have big, big changes.
- 1:35:03[SPEAKER_00]: We had a lot of fun in our inaugural episode.
- 1:35:08[SPEAKER_00]: because she was kind of already scheduled to do ready-to-price stuff and it just turned into this basically through no real plan or decision on either of our parts, it just kind of happened.
- 1:35:18[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been a really great run with her and I think the show was going to really be elevated the next year or so because I know we're going to really put our hearts and souls into it.
- 1:35:27[SPEAKER_00]: And Strego will be around sometimes too.
- 1:35:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's not completely gone forever.
- 1:35:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just in terms of regular shows that'll be me and Amy.
- 1:35:33[SPEAKER_00]: going forward.

- 1:36:21[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, Dylan.
- 1:36:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to have a brief on air production meeting here.
- 1:36:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're going to have to leave the studio and I'm going to have to turn my computer off for this the properly stopped recording.
- 1:36:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:36:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure after that.
- 1:36:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, it's really been good talking to you, my friend.
