September 27th
Classic rock, hip-hop, pop-punk, surf pop and heavy metal come together in today’s episode of The Music Dial, with stories connected to September 27.
We celebrate the birthdays of Randy Bachman, Meat Loaf, Lil Wayne and Avril Lavigne, revisit The Beach Boys’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, and remember Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, whose short career left a lasting mark on heavy metal.
Different generations, completely different sounds — all connected by one date in music history.
