- 0:11Hello friends, Sean here. Happy Friday to you.
- 0:15We have reached the end of another week and I hope you are
- 0:20going well. As always, a weekend tempting
- 0:23you full of good things and a week to reflect on that has
- 0:27hopefully been filled with some great achievements and some
- 0:31relationships built and a bit of time to yourself as well
- 0:34perhaps. But here we are.
- 0:36I don't know what your life is looking like, but it is the 1st
- 0:39of December and man oh man, this is the beginning of the flurry
- 0:45of Christmas engagements and parties and end of year
- 0:48gatherings. Life could be worse, but man,
- 0:52it's a lot of food isn't it? We'll do our best.
- 0:55We will extend out our belts by a notch and we will survive.
- 1:00And today we will read a Psalm together as we do on Friday.
- 1:03And this is about as brief as Psalms get.
- 1:07This is Psalm 93. It is a Psalm of praise all
- 1:11about how great God is king over all the earth.
- 1:16And it is a whopping 5 verses long, so we will soak up every
- 1:21one of them. We will imprint this in our
- 1:24hearts so this praise can echo around in our hearts and our
- 1:28heads all through the day. Doesn't that sound like a good
- 1:31way to spend today? So let U.S.
- 1:36Open our hearts, open our minds, put down whatever busyness is
- 1:40bouncing around in US, ready to soak up God's words.
- 1:46Reading together. Psalm 93
- 2:00The Lord is king. He is robed in majesty.
- 2:05Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
- 2:11The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
- 2:16Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial.
- 2:22You yourself are from the everlasting past.
- 2:26The floods have risen up, O Lord.
- 2:29The floods have roared like Thunder.
- 2:32The floods have lifted their pounding waves, but mightier
- 2:38than the violent raging of the Seas, mightier than the Breakers
- 2:43on the shore. The Lord above is mightier than
- 2:47these. Your royal laws cannot be
- 2:51changed. Your rain, O Lord, is holy
- 2:57forever and ever. You are eternal, mighty, so much
- 3:14mightier than any violent storm we might find ourselves in.
- 3:20You are king, you are majestic and we lift up our hands and
- 3:27praise of you. You are incredible, Lord, and we
- 3:34humbly come before you with hearts open wide full of praise
- 3:41to you and hands open wide to receive your gift of presence
- 3:49and love and forgiveness. Wow, you are amazing.
- 3:54We love you. We praise you, our mighty God,
- 3:58and we're able to do all of this in the name of Jesus.
- 4:02Amen.
