- 0:55Speaker 1: right yeah.

- 1:04Speaker 2: But who are you.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Most looking forward to seeing or catching.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Up with a lot of a lot of.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Propping Low The Psycho Boys always Misery guys played with
- 1:17Speaker 1: them Ship It was probably a year or two ago
- 1:21Speaker 1: at the Cambra Metal Fest that was there. I had
- 1:25Speaker 1: a couple of beers with them backstage. Cool blokes, you know,
- 1:29Speaker 1: they're on our level, veterans of the game. But yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: heaps of other bands I think, is resin tune playing?
- 1:36Speaker 1: I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's quite a few bands
- 1:41Speaker 1: would mind checking out something that haven't ventured down our ways.
- 1:45Speaker 1: So looking forward to it, man, should be good.
- 1:49Speaker 3: But what's the atmosphere like backstage amongst the bands that
- 1:51Speaker 3: shows all this made? Like, is it all go, go
- 1:53Speaker 3: go or do you get time to hang out and
- 1:56Speaker 3: then you catch up on new music?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah? Pretty much. We'll get to the festivals and.
- 2:01Speaker 1: That, Like, we'll probably get there a bit early and
- 2:03Speaker 1: have a few beers and chat a few of the
- 2:06Speaker 1: bands backstage and catch up with some old mates and
- 2:11Speaker 1: all that, all that type of jazz.
- 2:12Speaker 2: But basically, like, you know, just hang out. Yeah, the
- 2:17Speaker 2: other guys will probably warm up before we play a bit.
- 2:20Speaker 1: But yeah, mainly I'm just cruising around, waiting for a
- 2:24Speaker 1: crunch time and then a few beers watching the bands, uh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you know, talking the organizer and I don't know, hopefully
- 2:32Speaker 1: hanging around the merchant or trying to flog some merch.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Necrosonic is probably one of the first new, actual full
- 2:41Speaker 3: on metal festivals astray as had for a number of years.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Bro Like, from from from my point of view where
- 2:46Speaker 3: I'm looking at I like to see him about the
- 2:47Speaker 3: Australian metal scenes thriving again at the moment, like from
- 2:50Speaker 3: where you seem inside it is that?
- 2:52Speaker 4: Can you see that too?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty much just looks like a it's cracking lineup.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So I think it should be pretty good.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Hopefully all the maniacs out up and headbangers up in
- 3:06Speaker 1: Brisy get out there. I haven't played at this venue myself,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but I hear it's a little bit out of town,
- 3:14Speaker 1: so it should be good.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I'm really looking forward to see what the turnout will
- 3:20Speaker 1: be like and hopefully it goes well for Kent who's
- 3:25Speaker 1: running the show and he can carry it on for
- 3:28Speaker 1: the coming years.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Sick to see hopefully get invited back.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So for those who may not have heard of Remains before,
- 3:37Speaker 3: bro Like, run through a typical live show and what
- 3:39Speaker 3: we can expect from.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You all typical lives for Remains is probably from the
- 3:46Speaker 1: Get Guard, Big four Counts straight in the blast beats,
- 3:51Speaker 1: just heavy chugging refs, Swedish style grinding, bloody black Milly
- 3:57Speaker 1: type reffs, just an absolute onslaught.
- 3:59Speaker 2: So we'll just crank through.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Probably, I know it's always twenty twenty twenty five, Oh yeah,
- 4:06Speaker 1: twenty five, thirty minutes set, just a bang bang bang, Yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 1: they come, they come.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So for people that are coming that might not have
- 4:15Speaker 3: heard of you, guys before Malee, give us three of
- 4:17Speaker 3: your songs for them listening before Necrosonic, do you engage
- 4:21Speaker 3: in order to expect?
- 4:24Speaker 2: You'd probably go for shiit? What have we got here?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I'll grab a grab a tape. We've got a tape.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Cheat sheet?
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, good cheat sheet mate. Yeah? We got like the Butcher,
- 4:38Speaker 2: that's pretty sick. That's a six song.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Uh? What else we got the can't even read it
- 4:44Speaker 1: with me glasses? We got We've.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Got Bloodthirst, which was like the first single of the
- 4:51Speaker 2: album when it came out.
- 4:52Speaker 1: We put our video out for that, so be able
- 4:54Speaker 1: to check that online YouTube or suss it out through
- 4:58Speaker 1: the links on our Instagram.
- 5:00Speaker 2: All that remains official.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And what's another favorite of mine is probably Lords of Grime,
- 5:07Speaker 1: which is, yeah, a song about the band member has
- 5:11Speaker 1: just been total maniacs.
- 5:12Speaker 2: It's gonna be fucking ripping it, rip into it.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Indeed now remains formed back in two thousand and nine,
- 5:21Speaker 3: Mate with members of known bands such as Blood, Duster, Captain,
- 5:24Speaker 3: Clean Off, to Kill, Funk, I'm Dead and more. But
- 5:26Speaker 3: when you first started mel like, was it difficult establishing
- 5:29Speaker 3: your own musical identity with so many people from known
- 5:33Speaker 3: bands sort of coming into it?
- 5:36Speaker 2: Not really like we've all been mates for a long time, so.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Rolling bass players from like Clean Off, Jay and David
- 5:43Speaker 1: from like Fuck, I'm Dead, yided Dust, the Daving became
- 5:47Speaker 1: nothing with Dave many moons ago, but we all like
- 5:52Speaker 1: sort of had a break and quiet and down. All
- 5:55Speaker 1: the bands finished up and you started doing King with Dave,
- 5:59Speaker 1: so we sort of focused on that for a good
- 6:02Speaker 1: year or two and then that was when King started
- 6:06Speaker 1: twenty sixteen and then probably twenty nineteen. We always hang
- 6:11Speaker 1: out and see each other and get together for beers
- 6:13Speaker 1: and hang out at shows down here in Melbourne. But yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 1: we liked to Yeah, we just got together and said,
- 6:19Speaker 1: like they Dave and Jay had some songs that perfectly
- 6:22Speaker 1: started the band started without me and Roll of course,
- 6:27Speaker 1: they had songs down and we said let's get the
- 6:29Speaker 1: dig them out and give them a crack.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And so they turn out and I think we did
- 6:34Speaker 2: about five and.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Then sound six. So we just wrote another bloody No
- 6:39Speaker 1: ten or ten or sixteen or something like that. So
- 6:42Speaker 1: to get the album Grinding Grind Till Death.
- 6:47Speaker 3: In all you have only sort of been together about
- 6:49Speaker 3: five years, bro, So do you think as a band
- 6:51Speaker 3: you've settled on your definitive sound in or is it
- 6:53Speaker 3: still of work in progress.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We're pretty locked it. We're pretty much locked it in, mate.
- 6:57Speaker 1: It's just it's pretty much just grind. A lot of
- 7:01Speaker 1: influences from like the Swedish scene and yeah, the Scandinavian
- 7:08Speaker 1: scene pretty much. Dave and I big black metal fans,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but and like we're major like old school grind grind freaks.
- 7:18Speaker 1: But yeah, no, it's not too hard to write a
- 7:21Speaker 1: grind riff these days. But yeah, so Dave comes up
- 7:26Speaker 1: with a lot of yeah, good, good, easy, but yet
- 7:31Speaker 1: like pretty complicated riffs which sound fucking killer.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Oh.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Now you're released your debut album, Grind Your Death Bath
- 7:40Speaker 3: in twenty twenty two, mate, so have you started working
- 7:43Speaker 3: the follow up yet?
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we're sure, I have.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We've got the new album's coming out hopefully by the
- 7:50Speaker 1: end of the year. We're looking at like maybe October
- 7:52Speaker 1: or November.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Recordings almost complete.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I think Rowan bass players finishing us in final touches
- 8:00Speaker 1: and I go in the studio next Tuesday nights to
- 8:06Speaker 1: lay down all the vocals.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Wait, and are you going to.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Be pulling out any of these songs for us at
- 8:11Speaker 4: next for Sunday?
- 8:13Speaker 2: I think there might be one on the cards.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I think hopefully you guys be lucky, and I think
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's I'll give you a little preview.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It's called I think the song is going to be
- 8:25Speaker 2: called Killer Posers.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I love it.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Love it.
- 8:30Speaker 4: So where can people find out more about Remains Brown?
- 8:34Speaker 4: And you can keep up to David what's going on.

- 8:40Speaker 1: check us out. Remains official on Instagram, always updates on
- 8:46Speaker 1: our Facebook, but pretty much via that and our label
