What's up in the August 2026 skies?
August is a packed month for skywatchers. In this episode of the AstroGuy Podcast, we look at what’s up in the August 2026 skies, including Venus dominating the evening sky, a few nice Moon and planet pairings, the Perseid meteor shower under excellent Moon conditions, two eclipses, and a deep-sky tour through Cygnus, the Swan.
We’ll also visit our Lunar Feature of the Month, Aristillus and Autolycus, a pair of craters near Mare Imbrium, and then headinto one of the richest parts of the summer Milky Way.
