- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawgrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: welcome back to another episode. Happy June. We are officially
- 0:32Speaker 1: in the month of summer. I am so beyond happy
- 0:35Speaker 1: to be entering the summer season. I think we're all
- 0:38Speaker 1: excited for the warm weather and just the summer season
- 0:41Speaker 1: in general. I actually just wrote the summer bucket list
- 0:45Speaker 1: for next week's episode, so stay tuned for that. But
- 0:49Speaker 1: there's so many fun things that I'm looking forward to
- 0:51Speaker 1: doing this month. And yeah, I'm just so happy that
- 0:54Speaker 1: we're finally getting nice weather and all the summer festivities
- 0:58Speaker 1: can finally happen. And I hope you guys are having
- 1:01Speaker 1: a good June so far. I thought we could make
- 1:03Speaker 1: this episode a lot about just June goals, things that
- 1:07Speaker 1: I loved from May, along with just talking about the
- 1:11Speaker 1: overall dream of just really just romanticizing the shit out
- 1:16Speaker 1: of our life, Like, how can we talk about ways
- 1:19Speaker 1: to romanticize our current life and just really make us
- 1:21Speaker 1: feel like we're living our dream life that we always
- 1:24Speaker 1: aspire to do. So I figured we could tie that
- 1:26Speaker 1: into today's episode. As you can see in today's episode title,
- 1:29Speaker 1: we're back with another Sip and Spill episode. So I'm
- 1:32Speaker 1: here with my sister Madison again. May welcome back to
- 1:36Speaker 1: the podcast. You guys loved the last episode so much
- 1:39Speaker 1: that of course we have to bring it back for
- 1:41Speaker 1: another monthly episode. So we're both going to be sharing
- 1:44Speaker 1: our goals. We're going to be talking about things that
- 1:46Speaker 1: we loved this past month, and yeah, just talking about
- 1:49Speaker 1: romanticizing our life. Today we're drinking lemon water. We're kind
- 1:52Speaker 1: of being boring today, but we're still romanticizing it. We're
- 1:55Speaker 1: romanticizing our water. Yeah, I feel like we could have
- 1:58Speaker 1: just had a basic water, but of course we add
- 2:00Speaker 1: some lemon to spice it up. Now. I feel like
- 2:03Speaker 1: refreshers are something that like I'm obsessed with right now
- 2:07Speaker 1: going into the summer season. So I feel like you
- 2:09Speaker 1: can add so much fruit in your water and it
- 2:11Speaker 1: would just taste ten times better.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Like cucumbers, strawberries.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, like there's so many fun ways in Yeah, watermelon,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you could add mint. Oh yeah, mint, strawberry, and lemon.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I don't have any of that have lemon, but next
- 2:28Speaker 1: time I go to the grocery store, I could pick
- 2:29Speaker 1: that up. You can also add like electrolytes to make
- 2:31Speaker 1: it taste a little bit more.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I like lemon lime water.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Oh, yes, that's a good one.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I just love all like soda drinks with lemon lime.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Yeah. It just like makes water taste it just a
- 2:43Speaker 1: lot bit better. And I feel like it's easier to
- 2:44Speaker 1: get your water intaken when you spice it up. So
- 2:47Speaker 1: before we talk about our personal goals for the month
- 2:50Speaker 1: of June, we're going to talk about things that we
- 2:51Speaker 1: loved from May so just maybe specific products or things
- 2:55Speaker 1: that we discovered or recipes or whatever that we loved
- 2:58Speaker 1: from then to May So. For me, the first thing
- 3:01Speaker 1: that I actually discovered in May was I found a
- 3:05Speaker 1: love for Macha. I had no idea that I would
- 3:08Speaker 1: be so obsessed with it, and we both kind of
- 3:10Speaker 1: discovered it at the same time.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It's funny because we've both like always just never ordered macha, Like, yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 2: we've tried it. I don't know about you. I've tried
- 3:18Speaker 2: it like maybe once and did not like it. This
- 3:21Speaker 2: was like years ago, and I feel like macha's definitely, like,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you know, gotten more popular and things like that. So
- 3:30Speaker 2: it's definitely kind of like I feel like, changed over
- 3:34Speaker 2: the years, if that makes any sense. So it's definitely
- 3:36Speaker 2: different than the macha I had years ago. But basically,
- 3:40Speaker 2: my friend is a big macha drinker and I went
- 3:43Speaker 2: to go get coffee with her and she ordered a
- 3:45Speaker 2: macha and I was like, oh my god, I don't
- 3:47Speaker 2: know how you drink macha, Like I've never been a
- 3:49Speaker 2: macha drinker. And she's like, do you want to try it?
- 3:51Speaker 2: Like it's a strawberry macha. I think you like it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It's really good. I tried it and I was like,
- 3:56Speaker 2: oh my god, this is so good, and then I
- 3:59Speaker 2: told my sister about it. I was like, trust me,
- 4:02Speaker 2: you need to tach.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I remember that date because you were like, should we
- 4:06Speaker 1: order one or two? And I'm like, oh, no, just
- 4:07Speaker 1: order one, yeah, because because you're like so sure no,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I was like, it.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Was that one sip, that one sip only I.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Didn't want to waste my money, so I was like, yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 1: let's just get one and share and if we like it, great,
- 4:18Speaker 1: If we don't then whatever, at least we didn't waste
- 4:20Speaker 1: your money on drinkers. Yeah, huge matcha drinkers. I have
- 4:24Speaker 1: tried it twice, but I feel like when I tried it,
- 4:27Speaker 1: as you said, I feel like a lot of people
- 4:30Speaker 1: just had it in their menu, like you know, Starbucks did,
- 4:32Speaker 1: and like other local coffee shops, but no one really
- 4:34Speaker 1: had like the added flavors. Like I feel like strawberry
- 4:37Speaker 1: macha wasn't a big thing back then, you know, whatever
- 4:40Speaker 1: the case, you be like just like spicing it out.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah. So then I feel like now that it's like
- 4:45Speaker 1: such a common drink that people have, you know, Starbucks
- 4:48Speaker 1: has obviously made so many different kinds of machas now
- 4:51Speaker 1: on the menu, and then a lot of local coffee
- 4:54Speaker 1: shops as well. And I don't know, I feel like
- 4:56Speaker 1: people are saying to me, the darker, the green, the better.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I have no education at all when it comes to that.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 5:02Speaker 1: So someone actually messaged me, She's like, oh, you're that's
- 5:05Speaker 1: too light, Like it needs to be darker. Trust me,
- 5:07Speaker 1: it tastes better when it's darker. I said, okay, noted.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I didn't really know. And I don't know if it's
- 5:12Speaker 1: because the burisas are putting too much milk.
- 5:14Speaker 2: That the best macha we had was either the one
- 5:17Speaker 2: in La hot one in.
- 5:19Speaker 1: La That one was really good, so good.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Or that other one. Remember when we went to that
- 5:23Speaker 2: coffee shop and it was hot.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Where the cute little cop oh yes at flowers something. Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 1: some forget that in the in Barhaven I get the
- 5:32Speaker 1: name too, that one was really good as well. I
- 5:34Speaker 1: feel like hot macha is really creamy. Yeah, and maybe
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's just because we've only tried a few machas, like
- 5:40Speaker 1: the ice machas and not like the hot ones. But no,
- 5:43Speaker 1: if you haven't tried macha, maybe consider it and try
- 5:46Speaker 1: the flavored ones like the strawberry one as I said, yeah.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Or even like try hot macha and just like ask
- 5:52Speaker 2: to add sweetness. Yeah, yeah, that's what I think we did.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And it's really good. It was really really good. So
- 5:57Speaker 1: I found a love for matcha this month, and I
- 5:59Speaker 1: definitely hoped continue it into my routine. I would also
- 6:02Speaker 1: love to try and attempt to make it at home.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I would love to buy a kit maybe, so if
- 6:07Speaker 1: you guys have any brands you recommend. I have no
- 6:09Speaker 1: idea what macha's considered to be good. Like I've seen
- 6:11Speaker 1: a few people share, you know, what brands they buy
- 6:14Speaker 1: to do it themselves. But I have no idea what
- 6:17Speaker 1: to even look for, Like I would just buy one
- 6:19Speaker 1: from Amazon and I can't taste good.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I could be going crazy, but I swear I saw
- 6:23Speaker 2: like the makeup brands say, Beauty have Macha.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yeah they did, they hadn't they did have a latch No no,
- 6:29Speaker 1: but it wasn't their brandy. They partnered with a Macha
- 6:32Speaker 1: company and then they did it as part of their product.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I think it's I think it was actually the Rocky brand,
- 6:39Speaker 1: which is the one that we were supposed to go
- 6:40Speaker 1: to a community goods in La So I think it's
- 6:43Speaker 1: called Rocky. And I saw a few other influencers talk
- 6:45Speaker 1: about Rocky and I was like, Okay, clearly this must
- 6:47Speaker 1: be a good macha one. So maybe that one. And
- 6:49Speaker 1: if you guys have tried it, let us know if
- 6:51Speaker 1: you think it's worth the hype or not. But I
- 6:52Speaker 1: think the brand's called Rocky, Okay, good to know. Another
- 6:55Speaker 1: thing I discovered this month is the Greek yogurt bagels.
- 6:58Speaker 1: If you guys follow me on Instagram or talk, then
- 7:00Speaker 1: you guys know I've been literally making this every single week.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I'm truly addicted to the point where I've now made
- 7:06Speaker 1: them I think five or six times, because I think
- 7:09Speaker 1: you only get like four to five bagels per batch.
- 7:12Speaker 1: So Zach obviously has been stealing them from me because
- 7:15Speaker 1: he loves them as well. And I've been making the
- 7:17Speaker 1: Kilipino cheddar ones, which, oh my god, this spicy and savory.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I never thought I would be a savory bagel girl
- 7:23Speaker 1: until making these bagels. Like now, that's all I crave.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I have been wanting to try them like the sweet version,
- 7:30Speaker 1: so either making like a cinnamon raisin or like a
- 7:32Speaker 1: blueberry bagel. I feel like that would be really good.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I haven't attempted that yet. And then I've also done
- 7:38Speaker 1: the everything bagel as well. So anyways, if you haven't
- 7:41Speaker 1: tried it, you guys should try it out. I have
- 7:43Speaker 1: the recipe linked on my Instagram, so if you guys
- 7:45Speaker 1: want to take a peek there and try them out,
- 7:47Speaker 1: trust me, it will change your life. I'm not even
- 7:49Speaker 1: over exaggerating. I'm obsessed with it. Zach's obsessed with it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: I think you've made them, Yeah, I love.
- 7:54Speaker 2: The I made the Jlipino Cheddar ones and they were
- 7:57Speaker 2: so good. So you're so easy to make. I remember
- 8:00Speaker 2: i FaceTime Kaylee, I'm like, Okay, what do I do?
- 8:02Speaker 2: Like how do I make it? Thinking it was gonna
- 8:04Speaker 2: be so complicated, and yet it was so.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Like I think it's literally like five ingredients, yeah, or
- 8:08Speaker 1: like five or sex ingredients. Like it's so easy. And
- 8:10Speaker 1: I am not a good baker at all. So the
- 8:13Speaker 1: fact that this was super easy to make made my
- 8:15Speaker 1: life ten times easier. Another thing I loved from the
- 8:17Speaker 1: past month that I discovered was the brand four three seven.
- 8:20Speaker 1: They're actually a Canadian company and I've had a few
- 8:24Speaker 1: of their workout sets in the past, but you know,
- 8:26Speaker 1: nothing really current, and they recently sent me a few
- 8:29Speaker 1: workout sets and oh my god, guys, the quality is
- 8:32Speaker 1: ten out of ten. I feel like the support of
- 8:35Speaker 1: the bra is just insane, the qualities ten out of ten.
- 8:39Speaker 1: The overall aesthetics of it. I have a beige set
- 8:42Speaker 1: and a pink set, and I just find them both
- 8:43Speaker 1: very flattering. So I love just supporting Canadian brands and
- 8:47Speaker 1: just always finding new and especially with you know the
- 8:50Speaker 1: issues of just paying for duties and tarifs and all that.
- 8:53Speaker 1: With American brands. It's just getting quite costly for US Canadians,
- 8:56Speaker 1: so it's nice to find brands that are Canadian based
- 8:59Speaker 1: and being able to yeah, just like share it with
- 9:01Speaker 1: you guys, if you guys are from Canada. It's just
- 9:03Speaker 1: nice to find Canadian brands. So four three seven has
- 9:06Speaker 1: some really good workout sets in case you've been wanting
- 9:08Speaker 1: to upgrade or get a new workoutset for the summer season.
- 9:11Speaker 1: The last thing that I was loving for May was
- 9:14Speaker 1: my curly hair routine. I've finally found some curly hair
- 9:17Speaker 1: products that I've been using honestly weekly. I've been loving
- 9:21Speaker 1: the curly hair and it's just been making me feel
- 9:23Speaker 1: so much more confident. It's such an easy hairstyle to do,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and I feel like it looks really good, and I
- 9:28Speaker 1: just feel like in the beginning, it was definitely like
- 9:30Speaker 1: something that was very out of my comfort zone. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: wasn't sure, Like Madison did the same routine that I
- 9:35Speaker 1: did this week, yeah, and I.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Was so unsure about it, yeah, because it was like
- 9:40Speaker 2: the first time I've ever done my yeah like that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I feel like, obviously, like when you do something new,
- 9:45Speaker 1: you have to keep doing it to get better. So
- 9:47Speaker 1: I feel like I've already done it a few times
- 9:49Speaker 1: and I'm already noticing it turning out better and better
- 9:52Speaker 1: each time, better each time exactly exactly. So it's very
- 9:55Speaker 1: like you need to get a.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Shot Mermaid waves.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Ways, it's part of for the summer. Yeah, right, less
- 10:00Speaker 1: heat on the hair, which is great, perfect for any
- 10:03Speaker 1: like beach trip or just the beach vibes in general,
- 10:06Speaker 1: if you're looking for that beachy hair look. But the
- 10:08Speaker 1: curl products that I've been using is the Curl Cream
- 10:10Speaker 1: by way, they can be purchased on Sephora or I
- 10:14Speaker 1: think Amazon. And then the moose that I'm using is
- 10:17Speaker 1: the brand ag Care, which I know you can find
- 10:19Speaker 1: off Amazon. So those are the three things that I
- 10:21Speaker 1: either discovered or loved from May. But I'm going to
- 10:25Speaker 1: give Madison the takeover here and she's going to share
- 10:28Speaker 1: her favorite things from May. What did you discover? What
- 10:30Speaker 1: are new products that you loved?
- 10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, So I feel like there was actually a lot
- 10:35Speaker 2: that I discovered in May, surprisingly, But if I had
- 10:39Speaker 2: to narrow it down to three, I feel like the
- 10:42Speaker 2: first one, which is a big one, is discovering Korean
- 10:46Speaker 2: skin gas.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yes, I feel like, oh, my gosh, Yeah did that. Yeah.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I used to just never be like a big skincare girly, Like,
- 10:55Speaker 2: well that's a lot. I've always been a big skincare girly,
- 10:58Speaker 2: but I've just always kind of made my routine very basic,
- 11:02Speaker 2: which nothing wrong with having a basic routine. I still
- 11:04Speaker 2: do have a basic routine, but I kind of wanted
- 11:07Speaker 2: to just add in some more products to kind of
- 11:10Speaker 2: target specific things that I wanted to target. So one thing,
- 11:15Speaker 2: you know, I found with my skin is that I
- 11:17Speaker 2: wanted more of like a smooth look to my skin,
- 11:21Speaker 2: kind of like that glazed skin, like very.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Just I feel like that's always a challenge for people
- 11:27Speaker 1: to right.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I feel like that was like the biggest thing that
- 11:29Speaker 2: I was trying to achieve. And I'm like, okay, while
- 11:32Speaker 2: Korean skincare like that's the way to go for that feel,
- 11:35Speaker 2: everyone's hyping it out exactly. So my sister actually influenced
- 11:39Speaker 2: me to get the Metacube zero pore path. Yeah, oh
- 11:45Speaker 2: my god, game change.
- 11:46Speaker 1: I literally did an episode in this I don't know
- 11:49Speaker 1: a few weeks ago, and I talked about this specific
- 11:52Speaker 1: product and how it's literally changing skin.
- 11:54Speaker 2: No, it's crazy, Like I wake up every morning and
- 11:56Speaker 2: my skin is glowing. I know, I can literally see
- 11:59Speaker 2: like it's like the bounce off your sad Like I
- 12:02Speaker 2: feel like I see that now and I never saw
- 12:04Speaker 2: that before. So that was definitely a product I discovered
- 12:09Speaker 2: in May that I absolutely loved.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I actually purchased it in April and I still have
- 12:13Speaker 1: like half a container left, and oh I have so
- 12:16Speaker 1: much product in it, which is so nice. It's not
- 12:18Speaker 1: like it's something you're gonna have to replant every month,
- 12:20Speaker 1: maybe every two to three months, but it truly is
- 12:23Speaker 1: worth the hype. I think it was like, what thirty
- 12:25Speaker 1: nine bucks, Yeah, no, that bad?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Isn't that bad? No?
- 12:28Speaker 1: Which is really cost effective, which is nice.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I've also been loving the Biodance sheet masks. Honestly, when
- 12:37Speaker 2: I first got them, I feel like I got them
- 12:40Speaker 2: when I didn't even notice that they were like a
- 12:43Speaker 2: hype on TikTok. I think I just searched like sheet
- 12:46Speaker 2: masks on Amazon and that was like one of the
- 12:48Speaker 2: first ones that came up. And then I started seeing
- 12:51Speaker 2: like all these people use it on TikTok. I'm like,
- 12:53Speaker 2: oh my god. I had them for a while and
- 12:55Speaker 2: like just never use them, and then when I saw
- 12:57Speaker 2: people talking about them on TikTok, I'm like, okay, I
- 12:59Speaker 2: got a use one. Yeah, and once again, like I
- 13:03Speaker 2: woke up and literally my skin looked unbelievable.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Like, okay, but let's talk about this mask for a second,
- 13:10Speaker 1: because yeah, I love it. I do love it, and
- 13:12Speaker 1: I have used it. It is a bit tricky to use.
- 13:15Speaker 1: It's a comfortable I actually like, I'm all about comfort
- 13:19Speaker 1: when it comes to my sleep.
- 13:20Speaker 2: But I will say I found a bit of a hack.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Oh I think you need it's I don't know, it's
- 13:26Speaker 2: like really a big hack. No, you need to wear
- 13:29Speaker 2: it for a little bit, like an hour or two
- 13:31Speaker 2: before you go to bed.
- 13:32Speaker 1: No, No, that's like.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Oh I was the hack. No.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I feel like for me, it just feels like it
- 13:39Speaker 1: gets so dry where I'm like, it gets uncomfortable where
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm like, I want to take it all. I don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: want to like, oh, time to go to sleep now
- 13:45Speaker 1: with this uncomfortable mask.
- 13:47Speaker 2: If anything, it's the opposite, then.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, do it as soon as you like before
- 13:52Speaker 1: you go to bed, because I usually sit on it
- 13:53Speaker 1: for an hour or two and then by the time
- 13:55Speaker 1: I go to bed, I know it's on my face,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and it bothers me that I know.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I haven't done yet, but I thought that was the hat.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Not like it's not that I.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Found it even uncomfortable just like putting it on, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 2: obviously it's different.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Like you know, what the hack is is that I
- 14:09Speaker 1: find face masks, and this could be for any face mask,
- 14:11Speaker 1: is that if you find it's too big for your face,
- 14:14Speaker 1: take scissors and cut it yourself. And that's what people
- 14:16Speaker 1: recommend because think about it, a mask is going to
- 14:19Speaker 1: be a one size fit all kind of thing, right,
- 14:20Speaker 1: and there's obviously going to be parts where you know,
- 14:22Speaker 1: it's like really big around the nose or the forehead, very.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Like tight to you.
- 14:25Speaker 1: They say to cut, like cut it like just down
- 14:28Speaker 1: the center of like in between the eyebrows, and then
- 14:30Speaker 1: you can like lift it over top or just like
- 14:32Speaker 1: remove a bit of products so it exactly fits your
- 14:35Speaker 1: face perfectly, and that has made it a bit more
- 14:37Speaker 1: comfortable versus like the excessive, you know, part of the mask.
- 14:41Speaker 2: I've also heard that like wearing it for a minimum
- 14:44Speaker 2: of four hours does the same effect, so you could
- 14:46Speaker 2: literally just wear it during the day, like let's say
- 14:49Speaker 2: you plan let's say you have like plans for dinner, whatever,
- 14:52Speaker 2: like later in the day, you could wear it during
- 14:55Speaker 2: the day if you're staying at home and then you
- 14:57Speaker 2: know you've got this.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Like it is worth the hype. I will say it
- 15:00Speaker 1: truly is worth it. I'm just warning you that, like,
- 15:02Speaker 1: if you want my truthful, honest opinion, it is not
- 15:04Speaker 1: the most comfortable thing to sleep with. But maybe if
- 15:07Speaker 1: you put it on, like you know, ten minutes before
- 15:09Speaker 1: you actually fall asleep or whatever, it won't feel as
- 15:12Speaker 1: uncomfortable as what I experience. But other than that, it
- 15:16Speaker 1: does truly work. And as you said, like if you
- 15:17Speaker 1: wear it three to four hours before, like if you
- 15:19Speaker 1: want to put it on the flight when you're on
- 15:21Speaker 1: a trip and you want to wake up, wake up,
- 15:23Speaker 1: but you want to get to your destination with glass skin,
- 15:26Speaker 1: like I would recommend that. Or if you're walking around
- 15:29Speaker 1: the house on a Sunday morning and you just want
- 15:30Speaker 1: to put a sheet mask on for a few hours
- 15:32Speaker 1: while you're cleaning the house, you could add a biodance mask.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I also feel like wearing it, which ties into our
- 15:38Speaker 2: next topic is like I'm like romanticizing my life. Oh yeah,
- 15:41Speaker 2: which we'll talk about. I just wanted to mention that
- 15:44Speaker 2: because it really does feel like that when you know,
- 15:47Speaker 2: when you're talking about Sunday mornings, just like putting the
- 15:49Speaker 2: sheet mask on.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Like, yes, I feel like it sounds like the early self.
- 15:53Speaker 2: So the next specific product that I absolutely loved and
- 15:58Speaker 2: discovered and made.
- 15:59Speaker 1: And she influenced me to buy it is a freckle
- 16:03Speaker 1: pen So I I don't have a lot of freckles,
- 16:08Speaker 1: but everybody want everyone wants everybody.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I love the look of freckles. I just think they're
- 16:14Speaker 2: so cute, especially in the summer, Like I'll get like
- 16:18Speaker 2: little freckles here and there, and I'll get so excited
- 16:20Speaker 2: when i get yeah, one it's in like the random spot,
- 16:23Speaker 2: but I just get so excited, and I just want
- 16:26Speaker 2: all those like cute little freckles on my nose and
- 16:28Speaker 2: a little bit on my cheeks. And I feel like
- 16:31Speaker 2: I've been really struggling to find a good product that
- 16:34Speaker 2: does that where they look really natural but also very
- 16:38Speaker 2: long lasting, like they stay on throughout the day. I've
- 16:41Speaker 2: tried using eyeshadow with like a little brush and like
- 16:45Speaker 2: putting them on my nose never stays on. I've tried
- 16:48Speaker 2: an eyebrow pencil, doesn't normally stay on either. Like I've
- 16:52Speaker 2: just I've tried to use products I already own, I've
- 16:55Speaker 2: never really had like a specific product targeted to like
- 17:00Speaker 2: are made for freckles. But yeah, I've just struggled to
- 17:04Speaker 2: find that one product I think used to have this
- 17:08Speaker 2: like it was almost like a liquid that you would dip.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I think you had, yes, yeah, yes, it was almost
- 17:12Speaker 1: like it was like a liquid eyeliner, but like for freckles, it.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Was just too harsh, like when I would you would
- 17:18Speaker 2: have to blend it really really fast.
- 17:19Speaker 1: It was like giving like sharpie on the face really
- 17:23Speaker 1: really anyway, exaggerating.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Struggling to find the perfect one, and then I did, Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and I found one literally once again on Amazon. It's
- 17:33Speaker 2: like a felt pen.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I don't know if you've ever seen those, Like it's
- 17:37Speaker 2: literally it looks like a pen. And the one I
- 17:40Speaker 2: got from Amazon, it came with two different shades, which
- 17:44Speaker 2: I like because I think I used the lighter one today,
- 17:48Speaker 2: which I feel like will be good for like no makeup, yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and then the darker one maybe for when I.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Wear you know, you could also use those pens for though,
- 17:56Speaker 1: like strands in your eyebrows.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Oh wait, that's so smart. I know.
- 18:00Speaker 1: So if there's like areas in your eyebrows that you
- 18:01Speaker 1: want to like fill in, I feel like that would
- 18:03Speaker 1: be a good tool. And then the freckles on the
- 18:05Speaker 1: face are beauty marks that you have on your face
- 18:07Speaker 1: to like emphasize it.
- 18:08Speaker 2: No, yeah, anyways, I used it today. I've probably told
- 18:11Speaker 2: Kayley about it three times. I'm like, Kelly, look in
- 18:14Speaker 2: my face like I'm obsessed.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And it looks like really, I just find I.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Look way cuter. Yeah, I don't know how it will
- 18:21Speaker 2: feel prettier.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So natural. Like I've been doing just like a pencil,
- 18:26Speaker 1: like a brown pencil on my nose and you can
- 18:29Speaker 1: tell that I'm drawing stuff on my face, but this
- 18:31Speaker 1: is like very natural.
- 18:32Speaker 2: It literally looks like my das And is it still
- 18:36Speaker 2: long right now? Yeah? Isn't that crazy? It's all I
- 18:39Speaker 2: did today was that and like a lip tint, and
- 18:42Speaker 2: I just feel so much prettier.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like just like a little added thing that
- 18:46Speaker 1: makes you feel just more naturally pretty.
- 18:48Speaker 2: If it helps. I was on FaceTime with my boyfriend
- 18:50Speaker 2: and he literally said, you are so cute like it.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you noticed it. It really does make everything look
- 18:59Speaker 1: ten times or I find Yeah, just using that makes
- 19:02Speaker 1: you feel ten times better as well, especially in the summer. Yes.
- 19:06Speaker 2: So the last thing that I discovered in May, it
- 19:10Speaker 2: wasn't something I've really discovered but kind of just getting
- 19:12Speaker 2: back into were smoothies. I feel like I haven't had smoothies,
- 19:18Speaker 2: like a good smoothie in so long. Yeah, And I
- 19:21Speaker 2: hate making smoothies at home, to be honest, because you
- 19:24Speaker 2: have to buy all the ingredients just to maybe make
- 19:27Speaker 2: it once, and then you have all the ingredients, yeah,
- 19:30Speaker 2: and then like you never put used to them again.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I don't know. That's just for me personally. And I
- 19:36Speaker 2: ended up trying a smoothie while me and Cayley both
- 19:38Speaker 2: did try to smoothie at our favorite coffee shop in
- 19:43Speaker 2: Ottawa called Honey Yes, and oh my.
- 19:47Speaker 1: God, it was the best I've ever had. It was
- 19:49Speaker 1: literally it was a protein smoothie too. And usually protein
- 19:52Speaker 1: smoothies like it's a hit and miss, right, can either
- 19:54Speaker 1: it tastes really chalky or like really good.
- 19:56Speaker 2: No, this one, I was having dreams about it, like,
- 19:59Speaker 2: I know, so good.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It's I'm going to I'm definitely going to get it
- 20:02Speaker 1: tomorrow or this week because it's like a new weekly
- 20:04Speaker 1: thing that we need to get a smoothie because I
- 20:06Speaker 1: also don't like coconut milk, and there was coconut milk
- 20:08Speaker 1: in it and good, we should honestly maybe write the ingredients.
- 20:12Speaker 2: And I literally told Caley, I was like, so take
- 20:14Speaker 2: a picture of that. Yeah, like it was.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I actually would I would attempt to make it because
- 20:18Speaker 1: it was that good. But there was dates. Yeah, there
- 20:20Speaker 1: was dates in it. Coconut milk, strawberries, banana, protein powder, uh,
- 20:25Speaker 1: maybe something else, probably snow.
- 20:27Speaker 2: It was just like so amazing. It was to get
- 20:31Speaker 2: over it. I wanted like another ten of them. Like yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 2: I was like, wow, this is so good. So I'm
- 20:36Speaker 2: really happy. I've been getting into smoothies and I've found
- 20:40Speaker 2: a smoothie that I love and I'd love to try
- 20:42Speaker 2: more their smoothies. But yeah, that was like one thing
- 20:46Speaker 2: I guess I rediscovered.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And yeah, and I feel like it's a very summary thing.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Like I feel like smoothie is in the winter because
- 20:51Speaker 1: like we have cold winters here, I'm not really craving
- 20:54Speaker 1: a smoothie because it's so cold, but when it's like
- 20:56Speaker 1: summery and hot and like craving.
- 20:58Speaker 2: It's like the best after a workout too.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. Okay, so now we're going to share
- 21:02Speaker 1: our personal goals for June. So for me, one of
- 21:04Speaker 1: my goals is to wake up at five o'clock every
- 21:07Speaker 1: single morning and walk while watching the sunrise. So I
- 21:11Speaker 1: started on Monday, and I can honestly say that it
- 21:15Speaker 1: felt so good to wake up that early and just
- 21:17Speaker 1: get so much done. I feel like, you know, obviously
- 21:20Speaker 1: waking up at six I can get a lot done,
- 21:22Speaker 1: but just waking up that hour earlier, I don't know.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I just feel like I had so much more freedom
- 21:26Speaker 1: to like take my time and not feel rushed. And
- 21:29Speaker 1: doing the sunrise walk in my neighborhood has just been
- 21:31Speaker 1: like very therapeutic and very healing. And it truly was
- 21:35Speaker 1: like something that I felt like I was in a movie, like,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and we're going to talk about that just kind of
- 21:40Speaker 1: romanticizing our life in a bit, but truly that morning
- 21:42Speaker 1: routine made me feel like I was in a movie.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Like.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It just was the best way to start a new month.
- 21:47Speaker 1: And yeah, I feel like waking up earlier in the summer,
- 21:50Speaker 1: there's just so much motivation, there's so much productivity, and
- 21:54Speaker 1: I think I just like want to be outside all
- 21:56Speaker 1: the time, so binding ways to just incorporate being outdoors
- 21:59Speaker 1: more and like waking up and doing a walk every
- 22:02Speaker 1: single morning. I don't know, it just was truly such
- 22:04Speaker 1: an amazing feeling to wake up to. Another goal that
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm making for June is to journal more. I am
- 22:09Speaker 1: not gonna lie. I've kind of slacked on my journaling.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I kind of took a break after my trip was
- 22:14Speaker 1: Zach and I haven't really gone back into it, but
- 22:17Speaker 1: I really do miss it and I really want to
- 22:18Speaker 1: get back into the swing of things. So this week
- 22:21Speaker 1: I started back up again, which has been nice, just
- 22:23Speaker 1: to kind of write out my affirmations, my to do lists,
- 22:26Speaker 1: all that. I think it's very normal for all of
- 22:28Speaker 1: us to kind of take a break, and I feel
- 22:31Speaker 1: like journaling, like let's be honest, like I feel like
- 22:32Speaker 1: it can get repetitive at times, and I think that's
- 22:34Speaker 1: what kind of like steers you away from taking a break,
- 22:37Speaker 1: and then you almost miss it because you're like, Okay,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I need to remind myself to do that little habit
- 22:42Speaker 1: that literally takes ten minutes for me to do in
- 22:44Speaker 1: the morning, and it makes such a big impact. It
- 22:47Speaker 1: makes you realize how grateful you are. It makes you
- 22:49Speaker 1: realize you know how much you can get done in
- 22:51Speaker 1: a day. Just I don't know, I do really love
- 22:54Speaker 1: doing it. I just think sometimes it is okay to
- 22:56Speaker 1: take a step back because it's sometimes it can't get
- 22:58Speaker 1: repetitive and kind of just like, I don't know, you're
- 23:00Speaker 1: feeling like uninspired when it becomes too repetitive. But definitely
- 23:04Speaker 1: my goal for this month to get back into it.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Another one I kind of already touched on it, but
- 23:08Speaker 1: just spending more time outside and really enjoying the nice weather.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I think I probably talked about in a few episodes back,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but we are in the process of building a deck
- 23:16Speaker 1: right now. We are almost done. We've had some pretty
- 23:19Speaker 1: bad weather on the weekends which has caused a delay
- 23:21Speaker 1: for us to have it done, but we are hoping
- 23:23Speaker 1: to have it done before the end of June, which
- 23:26Speaker 1: is very exciting. And yeah, so I really want to
- 23:29Speaker 1: be spending a lot of time out there on our deck,
- 23:32Speaker 1: having dinners out there, barbecues, maybe some girls' nights, like hosting.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We want to get a fire pit, we want to
- 23:39Speaker 1: get a dining table, all that, so it should be
- 23:41Speaker 1: really fun to just really enjoy our outdoor space more
- 23:44Speaker 1: and just being outside in general. I'll be able to
- 23:46Speaker 1: work outside. Yeah, we're excited for our work dates outside.
- 23:50Speaker 1: It'll be to tan basically while working, which will be fun.
- 23:53Speaker 2: And yeah, to spend the whole day outside like sitting
- 23:57Speaker 2: on a table.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Like just we're so close, guys, like halfway done, maybe
- 24:01Speaker 1: a little bit more than halfway done. So we're so
- 24:04Speaker 1: close to ordering furniture. We have everything you know in
- 24:06Speaker 1: our cart. We're just basically waiting to order it until
- 24:09Speaker 1: we have the deck finalized because we don't even know
- 24:11Speaker 1: where we're going to put the furniture for the time being.
- 24:14Speaker 1: So I'd rather wait for the deck to be done
- 24:15Speaker 1: and then order the furniture after the fact. The last
- 24:18Speaker 1: thing that I want to make a priority for June,
- 24:20Speaker 1: that it's one of my goals, is making match at home.
- 24:22Speaker 1: So please send me your recommendations if you have any
- 24:25Speaker 1: matchup brands that you love the taste of, because I
- 24:28Speaker 1: definitely think it's going to be an adjustment, especially when
- 24:30Speaker 1: you're making it yourself. I think this syrup is what
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'm concerned about, is how sweet we can make it,
- 24:36Speaker 1: because I feel like coffee it took me a while
- 24:38Speaker 1: to actually like the taste of coffee, Like now I
- 24:40Speaker 1: actually like it. But before I used to be like
- 24:42Speaker 1: very sweet coffees, like put all the sweetener you can.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I don't want to taste that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'm so figuring out the best sweet yet, like it
- 24:49Speaker 2: took us. How many sweeteners have we been through? We've
- 24:51Speaker 2: been through.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, We've been through so many. And like I've tried
- 24:54Speaker 1: so hard to remove like creamers from my diet just
- 24:57Speaker 1: because like there is a lot of sugar on those creamers.
- 24:59Speaker 1: So now I try just use honey in my coffees
- 25:01Speaker 1: and that's it. But I feel like I'm gonna need
- 25:03Speaker 1: more than just honey, Like I'm gonna need the vanilla syrup.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Or maybe you can even try like a strawberry macha.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I saw this one girl on TikTok make strawberry strawberry pure.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, like you know how we do in the fall,
- 25:18Speaker 3: We'll add pumpkin pure, oh yeah to our coffee, but
- 25:21Speaker 3: instead you do strawberry puree, yes to your macha.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Well, I've seen people also make the strawberry pure themselves,
- 25:28Speaker 1: like with boiling it on a pot that's adding sugar
- 25:32Speaker 1: and well, I don't. I think we could do it.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I don't think it took that long. That's a whole process. Wow,
- 25:37Speaker 1: that's whatever. Yeah, how much is it gonna cause like
- 25:42Speaker 1: twelve dollars when you can make it for half the price. Anyways,
- 25:47Speaker 1: So attempting to make machas at home it's one of
- 25:49Speaker 1: my goals this month. So stay tuned for some fun
- 25:51Speaker 1: videos of me attempting that. We shall see if we
- 25:54Speaker 1: perfect the recipe or not. But I take a while,
- 25:57Speaker 1: might take a while, but we'll get there. Might be
- 26:00Speaker 1: till the end of the summer, maybe not the end
- 26:02Speaker 1: of the month.
- 26:03Speaker 2: But tune back in twenty twenty.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Sex. Yeah, facts, Oh my god, that's funny.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Okay, moving on to now my goals for the month
- 26:16Speaker 2: of June and just for I guess the summer in general.
- 26:20Speaker 2: These are things that I want to start incorporating into
- 26:23Speaker 2: my routine. So, as Kaylie mentioned, you know, having that
- 26:27Speaker 2: five am morning routine. I haven't gotten to five am yet.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I will say, it's a bit hard. I don't know
- 26:34Speaker 2: how you do it.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I think it helps. So because Zach's a week so
- 26:37Speaker 1: I don't know, I feel like I can.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:39Speaker 1: He's already walking around the house making noise, so maybe
- 26:42Speaker 1: that's why it helps me so much.
- 26:43Speaker 2: But so I've been trying to wake up at six am,
- 26:46Speaker 2: which I think is very reasonable. I'm very proud of
- 26:48Speaker 2: myself for being able to do that. So that's a
- 26:51Speaker 2: goal of mine, is waking up at six every single day.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And I really want to get into reading more.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So I really want to Oh that would be another
- 27:01Speaker 1: goal for me.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I just want to wake up and read my book.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Like I want that to be the first thing. I
- 27:07Speaker 2: am very bad at just wanting to be on my
- 27:11Speaker 2: phone and be on TikTok for like an hour not more. Yeah,
- 27:16Speaker 2: Like I just like I just get down this like
- 27:19Speaker 2: rabbit hole of like going through all these tiktoks and
- 27:22Speaker 2: then there's like one specific TikTok and then I have
- 27:24Speaker 2: to watch like one hundred tiktoks based off that one TikTok.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Like I just I get sucked, Yeah, you get sucked into.
- 27:31Speaker 2: So I'm really trying to not do that every single
- 27:34Speaker 2: morning and try reading more. So now I've been like,
- 27:38Speaker 2: for example, this morning, I read one chapter of my
- 27:41Speaker 2: book that I've been trying to finish, So the one
- 27:45Speaker 2: from Mexico. We went to Mexico when No put It
- 27:51Speaker 2: Can out in January.
- 27:53Speaker 1: January, Yeah, I finished that book. I'm so proud of myself.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I can't read on planes, so oh right anxiety, Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 28:03Speaker 2: I don't.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I just know I've finished two books. Okay, so whatever,
- 28:06Speaker 1: I'm pretty proud of myself. Yeah you should be because
- 28:09Speaker 1: and guess what, I'm buying a book.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Oh.
- 28:11Speaker 1: By the way, guys, I'm going on another trip in
- 28:13Speaker 1: two weeks with Zach. We're going to Miami. So I
- 28:16Speaker 1: didn't get to share that with you guys, which is exciting.
- 28:18Speaker 1: But I'm going to buy a book for that trip
- 28:19Speaker 1: because I'm going to try and finish the book in
- 28:21Speaker 1: four days.
- 28:22Speaker 2: That's crazy, that's crazy. I know it's I will admit
- 28:26Speaker 2: I started this book in January and I'm still not done.
- 28:29Speaker 1: No, it's all good, But you know what, work gets
- 28:32Speaker 1: in the way.
- 28:32Speaker 2: As I mentioned on the last episode, I was finishing
- 28:36Speaker 2: my Masters. Yeah, so that was the preparently my priority.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And now I feel like I've kind of realized that
- 28:42Speaker 2: I want to get into reading more. So it's not
- 28:44Speaker 2: that I don't have the ability to do that. It's
- 28:47Speaker 2: just about making the time to do so and not
- 28:51Speaker 2: just reading in the mornings, but kind of like Kaylee mentioned,
- 28:54Speaker 2: also journaling. I have my planner which is actually Kaylee's
- 29:00Speaker 2: that we all love. We love. I have that planner,
- 29:03Speaker 2: but then I also have like a gratitude journal that
- 29:07Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with that I'm trying to use every single
- 29:10Speaker 2: morning and kind of like Kailee mentioned with journaling, how
- 29:13Speaker 2: it's like it can get kind of repetitive. I have
- 29:15Speaker 2: this one journal that I love because every single day
- 29:19Speaker 2: it's it asks you like new questions or new prompts
- 29:23Speaker 2: that you have to answer, which I love because it's
- 29:26Speaker 2: different things and it makes it specific to each end.
- 29:29Speaker 1: It makes it different.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so I really like that. So I did that
- 29:33Speaker 2: this morning and I already feel better, which is good.
- 29:38Speaker 2: So yeah, I want to get into that more. And
- 29:40Speaker 2: just like I said, waiting to check my phone and
- 29:43Speaker 2: just having that like slow morning routine. Also trying to
- 29:47Speaker 2: like maybe walk in the morning like you said, like.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah, no, walking has changed my life. Yeah, I'm not
- 29:52Speaker 1: even over exaggerating, like it sounds crazy, but just walking
- 29:55Speaker 1: early in the morning with the sunrise, with a podcast
- 29:58Speaker 1: in or your favorite music, like it is truly the
- 30:01Speaker 1: most healing thing I need to experience, like it was
- 30:03Speaker 1: the best thing. Yeah to start, I'm so happy that
- 30:05Speaker 1: I started doing it.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Yeah, So that, I would say is my first personal goal.
- 30:11Speaker 2: My next goal for the month of June is honestly
- 30:14Speaker 2: baking more and trying to bake something new, like a
- 30:18Speaker 2: new healthy recipe each week. So I did try Kaylee's bagels,
- 30:22Speaker 2: the Greek yogurt bagels, and I loved them. I did
- 30:26Speaker 2: the Jlipino cheddar ones like I mentioned, so good. I
- 30:30Speaker 2: really want to make banana bread. Yeah, I love, love
- 30:34Speaker 2: love banana I reality too, and I really want to
- 30:36Speaker 2: make my own banana bread with like very little ingredients.
- 30:40Speaker 1: We love the small recipes, like we're very much like, well,
- 30:43Speaker 1: five or six ingredients.
- 30:45Speaker 2: It's even the best because one it's easy, but also
- 30:48Speaker 2: you were the one who told me this, like you
- 30:50Speaker 2: know what's in it, right, and the less you have
- 30:53Speaker 2: in it the better.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Yeah, And also like these ingredients that were buying at
- 30:57Speaker 1: the grocery store is expensive, like if it's need like
- 30:59Speaker 1: twenty things and one loaf of banana.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And it's also like sometimes the ingredients are so specific
- 31:04Speaker 2: and it's like we never using that again.
- 31:05Speaker 1: No, exactly, Like there's no point. So I feel like
- 31:08Speaker 1: just finding like the most minimalistic easy recipes that we
- 31:12Speaker 1: involve like five to eight ingredients, that's like super easy
- 31:16Speaker 1: to do. It also makes you feel like it makes
- 31:18Speaker 1: it easier for you to do it again exactly if
- 31:19Speaker 1: you're went through a whole process of making an entire
- 31:22Speaker 1: mess of like with all these ingredients, it just takes forever.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so definitely want to do banana bread or like
- 31:27Speaker 2: blueberry muffins, or like carrot muffins, Yeah, kind of carrot
- 31:32Speaker 2: cake vas. Yeah, I've seen those on TikTok and they
- 31:35Speaker 2: actually like really really so.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Actually executing the recipes that you see from Instagram and
- 31:40Speaker 1: exactly into your day to day.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Exactly and making maybe my own adjustments if needed, you know,
- 31:47Speaker 2: if there's something in it that I.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Whatever, there's walnuts in it, you don't walnuts exactly, or
- 31:52Speaker 1: like something.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Cottage cheese yogurt instead of cottage cheese like that. But yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 2: that is definitely a goal for me for the month
- 32:01Speaker 2: of June. The next school would be limiting processed foods.
- 32:07Speaker 2: So I will admit I'm a chip girl. I love chips.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I used to be addicted yeah, I just like love
- 32:15Speaker 2: the taste of chips. I mean, I don't have them often,
- 32:18Speaker 2: but like when I do, it always hits for me,
- 32:21Speaker 2: and I hate that. I don't want it to hit,
- 32:24Speaker 2: but it does.
- 32:25Speaker 1: But that's okay to have it once in a while.
- 32:27Speaker 1: It's exactly don't happen every single week. Like It's just
- 32:30Speaker 1: like I was.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Just about to say, it's definitely totally okay to indulge.
- 32:34Speaker 2: You know, my mom would always say everything in moderation,
- 32:37Speaker 2: but I think for me, for the month of June,
- 32:40Speaker 2: I want to try to limit it, so not necessarily
- 32:43Speaker 2: fully cutting it out, but just trying it to have them.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Or even find like a substitute that exactly like replace
- 32:49Speaker 1: it with and then when you're craving them for that
- 32:51Speaker 1: once in a while moment, then you know you can
- 32:54Speaker 1: have it in moderation exactly.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Like Also, I'm sure the girlies know, but like when
- 32:59Speaker 2: you first get into a relationship, I feel like going
- 33:02Speaker 2: out on dates, you're you know, maybe going to the
- 33:05Speaker 2: movies and you buy the popcorn, the gummies, the chicks.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Well, because there's more dates that are happening usually in
- 33:11Speaker 1: the beginning of a relationship, so you're leaving the house more.
- 33:14Speaker 1: You're eating, you know, things out all the time, not
- 33:16Speaker 1: really cooking at home. So I mean I went through it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I think everybody kind of goes through that.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yeah, And even like whenever I go to my boyfriend's house,
- 33:25Speaker 2: he's always like, oh, do you want to go to
- 33:26Speaker 2: the store and pick up snacks. I'm like, yes, but.
- 33:28Speaker 1: No mean vegetables.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I'm like, let's go to the healthy section.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Let's go get a vegetable strawberries. Yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Okay. So my last school going into the month of
- 33:42Speaker 2: June is to I hate saying this because I am
- 33:46Speaker 2: such a coffee drinker, but is to drink less calff bean,
- 33:51Speaker 2: which is gonna be hard, Like I say.
- 33:53Speaker 1: That now, but I mean there's so many good decaf options,
- 33:56Speaker 1: like we will have an espresso.
- 33:57Speaker 2: They have really good Like I actually used to be,
- 34:00Speaker 2: like I only used to drink decaf and then I
- 34:03Speaker 2: kind of switch back to having caffeine again. I just
- 34:07Speaker 2: find when I have too much caffeine it makes me
- 34:11Speaker 2: really anxious. Like, yeah, I get anxious very very easily.
- 34:14Speaker 2: And I find drinking a lot of caffeine just like
- 34:17Speaker 2: makes me anxious. And I notice it. If let's say
- 34:20Speaker 2: I have like two coffees in one day or something
- 34:23Speaker 2: like that. So I want to try to drink less caffeine.
- 34:27Speaker 2: And that's kind of where like the smoothies tie in
- 34:30Speaker 2: or the Macha ties in. Yes, I know there's still
- 34:33Speaker 2: caffeine in Macha, but I think it's less very limited, yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 2: from what I've heard, So kind of replacing my coffee
- 34:41Speaker 2: with Macha in the morning, or instead of getting a coffee,
- 34:45Speaker 2: getting a protein smoothie or something like that. So I'm
- 34:49Speaker 2: really trying to do that for the month of June.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Also getting more into teas. Yeah, is a lot of
- 34:56Speaker 2: decaf teas and I love teas.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I'm a big tea drinker.
- 34:59Speaker 2: And even making like, for example, iced teas. I know
- 35:02Speaker 2: you're not big into iced tea, no, but I love
- 35:06Speaker 2: iced tea. Yeah, I'm a big iced tea girl. So
- 35:09Speaker 2: just like making my own iced tea at home. I
- 35:12Speaker 2: really want to try this summer and it's just such
- 35:14Speaker 2: a summery thing to do.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Oh my god, one hundred percent. I definitely think you
- 35:18Speaker 1: should try that.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Also, me and Kaylee kind of talked about this, but
- 35:21Speaker 2: like we've been really into refreshers for the summer, so
- 35:26Speaker 2: making at home refreshers. And this doesn't even have to
- 35:29Speaker 2: be like, you know, strictly in the morning, but like
- 35:33Speaker 2: maybe something in the afternoon that we can make the afternoon.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yeah, like the afternoon because it kind of like changes
- 35:39Speaker 1: up from the water because I kind of get sick
- 35:41Speaker 1: and tired of the taste of water by two o'clock.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, what else did I drink?
- 35:45Speaker 2: What's something different that we can have? Yeah, So I
- 35:49Speaker 2: think that is something else that I want to try
- 35:51Speaker 2: for the month of June. I think this is honestly
- 35:53Speaker 2: going to be my hardest school because I love coffee.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it is going to be hard.
- 35:58Speaker 2: I mean, maybe I'll try to do the decaf coffee.
- 36:03Speaker 2: But there's just like specific pods. I love the espresso pods.
- 36:07Speaker 2: There's specific pods that they don't make decaf and it's
- 36:12Speaker 2: so unfortunate, Like.
- 36:13Speaker 1: You should try the Malosio decaf. Oh they have one
- 36:16Speaker 1: decaf Okay, And I find out really good and I
- 36:18Speaker 1: find it hard to actually like distinguish like the taste. Oh.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I honestly I never tasted the difference. Yeah, I think
- 36:24Speaker 2: it was more so like I said, just like the
- 36:26Speaker 2: flavor of pods. Like, yeah, I kind of just wanted.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Those, but also, like, let's be honest, like, sometimes like
- 36:32Speaker 1: I feel like, especially because I've been waking up earlier,
- 36:33Speaker 1: you do feel a bit of a crash, and you
- 36:35Speaker 1: like having the caffeine does kind of help. So I mean, yeah,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I think.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Maybe it's not something that once again, all these things
- 36:42Speaker 2: are not things I want to cut out at all,
- 36:44Speaker 2: Like even when I was mentioning, like talking about chips
- 36:48Speaker 2: and things like that, it's a little lot of randies.
- 36:51Speaker 2: It's it's not that I want to completely cut it
- 36:52Speaker 2: out of my lifestyle. It's just that I'm trying to
- 36:56Speaker 2: limit it for myself. Yeah, and so you know, maybe
- 36:59Speaker 2: instead of having a coffee five days a week, I
- 37:01Speaker 2: only do three days a week.
- 37:03Speaker 1: And you know what, I have heard people say that
- 37:05Speaker 1: the less caffeine that they do drink, eventually your body
- 37:07Speaker 1: does like realize that they don't need to rely on it,
- 37:10Speaker 1: and then your energy actually is high all the time,
- 37:12Speaker 1: and it is like, so, I mean there is benefits
- 37:14Speaker 1: to completely like, oh yeah, I'm jutting it out as
- 37:16Speaker 1: much as you can. So I definitely think trying decaf
- 37:19Speaker 1: would be a really good option. All right, let's talk
- 37:21Speaker 1: about romanticizing our lives and just romanticizing adulthood, because we
- 37:26Speaker 1: kind of already touched on this and a few of
- 37:28Speaker 1: the points we talked about for our goals for June,
- 37:31Speaker 1: but we really do just want to romanticize the shit
- 37:34Speaker 1: out of our life. Everything we do, our Sunday routine,
- 37:38Speaker 1: our morning routines, our day to day life. Like there's
- 37:41Speaker 1: so much that you could just be present in the
- 37:44Speaker 1: moment for certain things. And like one thing that we
- 37:47Speaker 1: talked about was walks, like going on your walks. Yes,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes people go on walks to see
- 37:53Speaker 1: it as like a stress reliever, but they're also sometimes
- 37:56Speaker 1: overthinking about your moment, you know what I mean. Like,
- 37:59Speaker 1: let's say you're getting work done and you just received
- 38:01Speaker 1: all this overload of work and you go on this
- 38:03Speaker 1: walk thinking that, Okay, this is going to be a
- 38:04Speaker 1: good break to get away from the computer. But when
- 38:06Speaker 1: you're on that walk, you're too busy constantly thinking of
- 38:08Speaker 1: those stressful moments. You have to remember that when you're
- 38:11Speaker 1: on a walk, you need to be fully present in
- 38:13Speaker 1: that walk by completely creating the distraction of focusing on
- 38:17Speaker 1: what is happening in that current moment. So really taken
- 38:21Speaker 1: the nature. Really like distract yourself maybe by listening to
- 38:24Speaker 1: a podcast that could be like really inspiring, or listening
- 38:27Speaker 1: to your favorite artists, like a favorite album that you
- 38:29Speaker 1: want to listen to right now, Like really just create
- 38:32Speaker 1: that difference by like, Okay, when you're stepping aside from
- 38:35Speaker 1: the computer, you're not thinking about that stress that you're
- 38:39Speaker 1: dealing with that work. You're thinking about that current moment
- 38:41Speaker 1: of enjoying that moment of being present and enjoying the
- 38:45Speaker 1: nature and enjoying the movement that you're getting in for
- 38:47Speaker 1: the day.
- 38:48Speaker 2: And I think also too, that it doesn't just have
- 38:50Speaker 2: to be like when you're on a walk just like
- 38:53Speaker 2: thinking about like everyday activities that you're doing. I really
- 38:57Speaker 2: do think that being present in the moment will allow
- 39:01Speaker 2: you to kind of like romanticize your life in a
- 39:04Speaker 2: way because you're not in your head overthinking about, Okay,
- 39:09Speaker 2: what do I have to get done for the day?
- 39:10Speaker 2: Oh my god, I have this, this and this to
- 39:12Speaker 2: do yeah, versus just like in that moment, the only
- 39:15Speaker 2: thing you're worried about is what you're doing in that moment. Yeah,
- 39:19Speaker 2: and you kind of just like, I don't know, I
- 39:21Speaker 2: just feel like it's a different feeling, and it's a
- 39:24Speaker 2: good feeling, and you know, I think it's just a
- 39:28Speaker 2: way that you can, yeah, romanticize your life and feel
- 39:32Speaker 2: feel good.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it also kind of like goes into
- 39:35Speaker 1: like that slow lifestyle when it comes to just like
- 39:37Speaker 1: living that life that you see in the movies.
- 39:40Speaker 2: I don't know, I really it's like I don't want
- 39:42Speaker 2: to feel like I'm in the movie. Yeah, I'm the
- 39:44Speaker 2: main character, and I feel like what goes with that
- 39:47Speaker 2: is just like being present in every moment of your life.
- 39:51Speaker 1: We need to talk about the music video for a second,
- 39:54Speaker 1: because if you think about the music videos that you
- 39:57Speaker 1: used to watch, if you're like us, like like the
- 39:59Speaker 1: two thousand is era, like Jojo, Like all I could
- 40:04Speaker 1: think about is me in the backseat of my parents' car,
- 40:07Speaker 1: like looking at the rain, yeah, going yeah, going on
- 40:10Speaker 1: a road trip and like looking outside, looking at the rain,
- 40:13Speaker 1: and just like listening to Jojo and like think that
- 40:16Speaker 1: I'm the main character, Like, yeah, this is my life
- 40:18Speaker 1: and I'm just like envisioning like my future and all that.
- 40:22Speaker 1: And then we actually watched the Hillary Duff music video
- 40:25Speaker 1: of was It Let the Rain Fall Down?
- 40:27Speaker 2: That song it's called come clean.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Clean.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Like she's literally like sitting in her living room like
- 40:33Speaker 1: it's raining, and she's like romanticizing her night of like
- 40:36Speaker 1: having a storm in her house. And I'm like, this
- 40:39Speaker 1: is just so like it's just so funny to be
- 40:42Speaker 1: how like because we see that as Yeah, I mean,
- 40:46Speaker 1: let's bring that back. Oh my god, And that's the
- 40:49Speaker 1: way to romanticize your life hundred percent. I think just also,
- 40:52Speaker 1: like doing those little things just really makes you realize
- 40:56Speaker 1: like how exciting life can be by like really just
- 40:59Speaker 1: enjoying the moment of these little things. And like we
- 41:02Speaker 1: talked about doing a mask on a Sunday, Like you
- 41:04Speaker 1: could just have an average Sunday and do nothing, or
- 41:07Speaker 1: you could put on a face mask, put on a
- 41:09Speaker 1: cute robe, do a little self care for yourself, make
- 41:11Speaker 1: some pancakes. Like think about how you would see a
- 41:14Speaker 1: Sunday in a movie. That's how I would picture it.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Here my night last night.
- 41:17Speaker 1: You're gonna love this, okay.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I literally or two nights ago, I was getting my
- 41:21Speaker 2: grad pictures taken, so I wanted my skin to look good.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I was sitting in bed, I had my lemon water.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I put on my diffuser, put some essential oil in
- 41:30Speaker 2: my diffuser, put on the sheet mask while watching Keeping
- 41:34Speaker 2: Up with the Kardashians. That was my night. And I
- 41:37Speaker 2: was like, this is literally me romanticizing my life because
- 41:41Speaker 2: I'm just like I was just loving it. Like I
- 41:43Speaker 2: was like, I feel so good.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I love nights like that, Like I'll do my red
- 41:46Speaker 1: light therapy mask, my favorite TV show. I will scroll
- 41:49Speaker 1: through Pinterest having my tea. Yeah, lighting a candle like
- 41:54Speaker 1: that right tonight. Yeah. The candle also makes like a
- 41:57Speaker 1: huge difference just by like doing those little things that
- 42:00Speaker 1: just makes rooms spray. Oh love it, spray it everywhere.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I think by morning routine is like a really good
- 42:07Speaker 1: example of also just like really trying to romanticize things.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Because I make my bed every single morning. I put
- 42:13Speaker 1: on a cute PJ set. I like I stay at home.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I don't even leave, you know, my house, But like
- 42:19Speaker 1: I truly make sure that everything I'm doing in the
- 42:21Speaker 1: morning is things for myself that I feel makes me
- 42:23Speaker 1: feel good and it makes me feel put together. That's
- 42:25Speaker 1: why I always say, like, oh, I put a bit
- 42:27Speaker 1: of makeup on, like even though I'm not leaving the house,
- 42:29Speaker 1: like it makes me feel good, and I feel more
- 42:31Speaker 1: confident in myself by putting on a cute outfit on,
- 42:34Speaker 1: putting on a cute rub Like, those little things truly
- 42:37Speaker 1: do make a big difference in your mindset and how
- 42:39Speaker 1: you're feeling. And yeah, I think like doing those things
- 42:42Speaker 1: just makes you feel more productive.
- 42:43Speaker 2: As well and more Yeah, like why do I feel
- 42:45Speaker 2: like I get so much more done if I have
- 42:47Speaker 2: like a cute set on, yeah, or like a cute
- 42:50Speaker 2: outfit and I have my makeup on?
- 42:52Speaker 1: And why do we feel so motivated when we get
- 42:54Speaker 1: a new workout set in or we get a new
- 42:55Speaker 1: PJ set, like you want to wear it and you're like, oh, like,
- 42:58Speaker 1: I don't know, Like you just feel motivated to do.
- 43:00Speaker 1: It's just a different feeling it will say. It's almost
- 43:02Speaker 1: like adrenaline that just like goes into our body. It's
- 43:05Speaker 1: just like, oh my god, like, let's just be productive
- 43:07Speaker 1: today because I got a new workout set, Like I can't.
- 43:10Speaker 1: I'm sure you guys get the feeling obviously, but there's
- 43:12Speaker 1: just some type of adrenaline or just like rush that
- 43:15Speaker 1: you feel that gets you excited and like makes you
- 43:17Speaker 1: want to just romanticize everything. I agree, I think this
- 43:20Speaker 1: also plays into just the overall aesthetics of your life. Like,
- 43:24Speaker 1: let's be honest, people fall for aesthetic things, like I'm
- 43:28Speaker 1: a sucker.
- 43:29Speaker 2: We're all victims.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Like my house, I try and make aesthetic, Like everything
- 43:33Speaker 1: I wear, I try and make aesthetic like I I
- 43:35Speaker 1: fall for it every single time. But I like, literally, yesterday,
- 43:38Speaker 1: my sister went to anthropology and she saw these really
- 43:41Speaker 1: cute bowls and she immediately thought of me. She's like,
- 43:44Speaker 1: I feel like you would want this, and I'm like, yep.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Romanticizing my yogurt buls in the morning, get me that
- 43:49Speaker 1: yellow one, get me that blue one, like makes me
- 43:51Speaker 1: feel just more put together and just more motivated. And
- 43:55Speaker 1: I don't know, it just it's little excitements that you
- 43:57Speaker 1: just feel when you have aesthetic things.
- 44:00Speaker 2: And I agree, it's just a feeling that can be
- 44:02Speaker 2: I got like a cute lemon iced, like a cute
- 44:06Speaker 2: glass coffee and it had like little lemons on it.
- 44:10Speaker 2: And what a way to romanticize my morning coffee.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and even like cute water bottles. I feel like
- 44:16Speaker 1: we always fall for getting a cute water bottle, but
- 44:18Speaker 1: it makes us drink more water. So at the end
- 44:20Speaker 1: of the day, like we're getting to be like get
- 44:21Speaker 1: a goal.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Done, for example, like to motivate yourself to journal, like
- 44:25Speaker 2: get an aesthetic pen, and like a cute.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Little get a cute journal, cute cute planner. Like everything
- 44:33Speaker 1: is truly around the aesthetics of things, and I think
- 44:35Speaker 1: that's why people feel motivated to buy things as well, right,
- 44:37Speaker 1: Like everything you see that brands are promoting, like usually
- 44:40Speaker 1: it's aesthetic and that's the reason why you're buying it.
- 44:42Speaker 1: But I think it's important to sometimes invest in those
- 44:45Speaker 1: little things because it do makes a difference in your
- 44:47Speaker 1: day day lifestyle and makes you feel motivated too actually
- 44:50Speaker 1: get those.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Things to actually do it, you can do it exactly.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I think the last thing when it comes to romanticizing
- 44:56Speaker 1: your life too is thinking about like your solo time.
- 44:59Speaker 1: So yeah, really just like romanticizing your solo dates. So
- 45:03Speaker 1: you know, whether it's a day to yourself and you're
- 45:05Speaker 1: getting out, like you don't have to just sit at
- 45:07Speaker 1: home and do nothing, Like you can get out of
- 45:08Speaker 1: the house. You can go buy yourself a coffee, maybe
- 45:11Speaker 1: go to a bookstore and like look through books or
- 45:13Speaker 1: go Like why is it.
- 45:15Speaker 2: That when I go to a bookstore, I feel like
- 45:18Speaker 2: I'm like romanticizing the shit out of my life. Yeah,
- 45:21Speaker 2: just like looking at books, looking at decore coffee table books,
- 45:24Speaker 2: like just browt like it is about a bookstore, maybe
- 45:28Speaker 2: because it's like always in the movies getting a coffee. Yeah, bookstore,
- 45:32Speaker 2: Like there is just something that hits different. Yeah with
- 45:34Speaker 2: a bookstore, I will say one hundred percent agree. Like
- 45:37Speaker 2: I feel like also just like taking yourself on solo dates,
- 45:39Speaker 2: like just going shopping or going to get a facial
- 45:43Speaker 2: or going to get a massage, like you feel like nails,
- 45:45Speaker 2: getting your nails done exactly. Like you're really just.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Like romanticizing the perfect solo day. And I think it
- 45:51Speaker 1: just like makes you realize that, like you are the
- 45:55Speaker 1: person that determines what you want to do with your life.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Like if there's a day where you're like feeling down
- 46:00Speaker 1: and you're you did that to yourself, Like you're down
- 46:03Speaker 1: for a specific reason, So you're going to take action
- 46:06Speaker 1: and actually create a positive day out of it by
- 46:08Speaker 1: doing things that actually bring you joy. So if you
- 46:11Speaker 1: want to have a good, fun solo day, you can
- 46:13Speaker 1: make that happen if you put your mindset to it.
- 46:15Speaker 2: I actually the effort I saw this quote, and I
- 46:18Speaker 2: wish I could remember the quote. Maybe we can post
- 46:21Speaker 2: it on the Hawker Energy Instagram we find it, or
- 46:26Speaker 2: if I find it. But it was literally about, instead
- 46:28Speaker 2: of worrying about things you can't control, do the things
- 46:32Speaker 2: you can control. I love that. Isn't that so cute?
- 46:35Speaker 2: Like it was just such an inspiring quote because it's
- 46:39Speaker 2: so true. We spend more time worrying about things that
- 46:43Speaker 2: are completely out of our control. I'm definitely somebody who
- 46:47Speaker 2: does this all the time, huge overthinker. So I spend
- 46:50Speaker 2: all this time worrying about things that are completely out
- 46:53Speaker 2: of my control instead of just spending the time doing
- 46:57Speaker 2: the things I can control, myself feel better.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I mean, this has nothing to do with the quote,
- 47:02Speaker 1: but like this morning, a bird attacked me. But like
- 47:06Speaker 1: that could have ruined my entire day. But did I
- 47:08Speaker 1: let it happen? No, I completely. It was out of
- 47:11Speaker 1: my control, and I was like, I'm not going to
- 47:13Speaker 1: worry about it. I'm going to move on with my day.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So that's how I started by morning. But oh and
- 47:18Speaker 1: then oh my one of my bulls was cracked. True
- 47:21Speaker 1: did I let it ruin my day? I moved on
- 47:25Speaker 1: with my day and I forgot about it, and I thought,
- 47:27Speaker 1: we're gonna have a good day today. We're gonna put
- 47:29Speaker 1: that in the past and focus on the current president
- 47:32Speaker 1: movement towards what you cann It's very bad examples, but
- 47:36Speaker 1: that's just because examples, some little examples. But it just
- 47:40Speaker 1: was like, you know what, these things happened to me today,
- 47:42Speaker 1: Like I could have made this a bad day because
- 47:44Speaker 1: I started off with those two things, but I turned
- 47:46Speaker 1: it into a good day by you know, not worrying
- 47:48Speaker 1: about it. So anyways, I thought it would just tie
- 47:50Speaker 1: that into the conversations. It seemed relevant to what happened today.
- 47:55Speaker 1: But anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. We
- 47:58Speaker 1: actually talked for a really long time. We can probably
- 48:00Speaker 1: talk longer, to be honest, but we love you guys
