- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's week six of Bachelor in Paradise. Ashley is here
- 0:10Speaker 2: with us to break down this week's chaotic I'll call
- 0:16Speaker 2: it confusing.
- 0:18Speaker 3: We're going with the confusing theme again. Where we said
- 0:21Speaker 3: confusing last week was like, it's.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Still confused, like this is. But this is confusing to
- 0:25Speaker 2: me in the sense it felt like a whirlwind of
- 0:28Speaker 2: craziness that I could not I had to draw a
- 0:31Speaker 2: chart before this episode to figure out who's still with
- 0:35Speaker 2: who and why they're with each other, because it feels
- 0:37Speaker 2: like nobody's back together anymore.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Well, Jared and I on our recap last week, we're
- 0:42Speaker 3: saying that, like, none of these super are running up together.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Like I've never watched this season and been like, okay,
- 0:47Speaker 3: but nobody here is getting married.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Going into this week, I really thought that we could
- 0:53Speaker 2: have some surprise engagements.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I thought, oh, like Eliza and Aaron. That's the only
- 0:58Speaker 3: one I thought.
- 0:59Speaker 2: I actually thought that Rachel and Braden might not get engaged,
- 1:02Speaker 2: but I thought they would be dating.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, me too. I'm pretty surprised at his surprise moving fast, and.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I really thought Blake and Jess would come out of
- 1:11Speaker 2: this thing on top like that. We hadn't seen a
- 1:14Speaker 2: lot from that.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I'm fading out, especially after last week.
- 1:17Speaker 2: But how do we know that because we don't see anything,
- 1:20Speaker 2: Like we kind of see they get it. There's a confrontation.
- 1:25Speaker 3: We knew that because because she basically said she now
- 1:29Speaker 3: she is confused. Jess is the most confused. She's like, hey, like,
- 1:35Speaker 3: I think I don't know that I'm sold on this, Okay.
- 1:38Speaker 3: She tells him basically like in so little words, I
- 1:42Speaker 3: want to sort of date other people, and then in
- 1:46Speaker 3: this episode he decides to do that because she told
- 1:51Speaker 3: him that they should, and then she was like very
- 1:56Speaker 3: sad and annoyed.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Bryet, Yeah, she I think Jess as a catch. I
- 2:02Speaker 2: personally watched this and I'm like, that is somebody that
- 2:05Speaker 2: with the right guy on this beach. I could see
- 2:07Speaker 2: her getting engaged from this because it's too young, I think,
- 2:10Speaker 2: is it?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah? I think she's not ready. She doesn't know, she
- 2:14Speaker 3: doesn't know what she wants because she and then she
- 2:17Speaker 3: also said something in this episode that made me be
- 2:20Speaker 3: like what she said like nothing's going my way here,
- 2:23Speaker 3: and I'm like, Jess, what are you talking about? You're
- 2:26Speaker 3: with Blake the entire time, and then last night you
- 2:30Speaker 3: said that maybe you should explore other options and what's
- 2:34Speaker 3: not going your way.
- 2:35Speaker 2: True, that's a good point. Yeah, well, we have a
- 2:38Speaker 2: lot to talk about. I think the main thing when
- 2:41Speaker 2: I say confusing, and maybe that's just that, you know,
- 2:44Speaker 2: the consensus for this whole season is it feels like
- 2:46Speaker 2: a whirlwind and it's confusing to me because we don't
- 2:48Speaker 2: have any couples that at this point were like, Yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I'm confident that they're going to be together at end
- 2:54Speaker 2: of this This is going to be a cool love story.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And we're getting farther and farther along in the season.
- 2:58Speaker 2: We're at week six, Like, at this point, it's rare.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I don't know if I remember a season where there's
- 3:04Speaker 2: not one really strong couple. Now, to set the stage
- 3:08Speaker 2: at the beginning of this episode, the couples that exist
- 3:12Speaker 2: are Eliza and Aaron b We have Braden and Rachel.
- 3:16Speaker 2: We have Tyler and Mercedes. We have Tanner and Kat,
- 3:22Speaker 2: we have Jess and Blake.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Tanner and Kat are a little up in the air,
- 3:27Speaker 3: as he went.
- 3:28Speaker 2: The closest thing to a couple that we have. We
- 3:32Speaker 2: have Olivia and Tyler and is that it?
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think so, John Henry and Olivia, John Henry
- 3:39Speaker 3: and Olivia.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Who's Tyler with Mercedes? That's right, Mercedes. Yeah, okay, so
- 3:43Speaker 2: we got them all now, we got them all paired
- 3:44Speaker 2: up here right. The episode starts with some teasers charities
- 3:51Speaker 2: arriving at the beach. We really don't know why at
- 3:53Speaker 2: this point in the episode. And uh, there's distance between
- 3:58Speaker 2: Blake and Jess obviously because theast episode's conversation now it
- 4:06Speaker 2: comes off at the beginning of this episode to me,
- 4:08Speaker 2: and it's kind of the cat show through this whole episode.
- 4:11Speaker 3: The entire season is mostly the cat show. She is
- 4:13Speaker 3: a really good reality TV character. She is a nut.
- 4:18Speaker 2: I mean, what do you what are you getting at
- 4:20Speaker 2: a cat?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Like?
- 4:22Speaker 2: What I'm understanding is cat she said it. I guess
- 4:25Speaker 2: I can only go off of the words that she says.
- 4:27Speaker 2: She feels like the guys that she's dated in a
- 4:31Speaker 2: lot of ways are below her, right, she said, Tanner
- 4:34Speaker 2: like is below her, like she is. You know, he
- 4:40Speaker 2: can't break up with her. She has to break up
- 4:41Speaker 2: with him, right. She also had you know, has kind
- 4:45Speaker 2: of jumped around a little bit, as most do in
- 4:48Speaker 2: Paradise and now she sets her eyes on John Henry.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's I guess what I'm trying to understand, and you
- 4:58Speaker 2: would maybe have a better perspective in Paradise during week six.
- 5:04Speaker 2: She's obviously attractive.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yes, she's extremely gorgeous.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But at this point the guys have seen.
- 5:12Speaker 3: But the guys, yep, I know what you really did.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Like, the guys have seen that she is volatile and
- 5:19Speaker 2: can definitely like make a dude cry pretty fast, but
- 5:24Speaker 2: yet they still are finding interest in her.
- 5:26Speaker 3: I don't know. I think the only reason that John
- 5:29Speaker 3: Henry is entertaining her in this episode is because he
- 5:32Speaker 3: thinks she's hot and he hasn't been there the whole time.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And I actually still think he likes Olivia Moore and
- 5:42Speaker 3: let's talk about their conversation. Initially, Tanner comes back from
- 5:46Speaker 3: his date with Davilla Davia Davia the day earlier, but
- 5:52Speaker 3: like they, he doesn't speak to Cat. So in this
- 5:55Speaker 3: episode he speaks to Cat and Legit says to her,
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't think our personalities are compatible, because he sees
- 6:03Speaker 3: that she is fiery and a little scary, totally intense.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Is the anti she has, like this personality that really
- 6:14Speaker 3: puts men off in my personal perspective, but not also
- 6:19Speaker 3: saying that, like I've been there, because like I would
- 6:24Speaker 3: like to think of like myself in paradise, like walking
- 6:27Speaker 3: down those stairs, like hopefully somebody would want to go
- 6:29Speaker 3: on a date with me, but most guys didn't because
- 6:34Speaker 3: my reputation personality wise preceded me.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So are you saying that you think she walked down
- 6:41Speaker 2: to the beach thing saying most guys are going to
- 6:43Speaker 2: want to take me on a date, like they should
- 6:45Speaker 2: want to take me on a date.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that she's like confident and like feels Yes,
- 6:51Speaker 3: I feel like she does think she's a catch, and
- 6:54Speaker 3: she just is very intense for these guys to really
- 6:58Speaker 3: want to get involved.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I think, Well, and I wonder I'm curious kind of
- 7:03Speaker 2: how the other women are feeling, because there's a scene
- 7:06Speaker 2: here where they're all kind of on the daybed and
- 7:09Speaker 2: kat is talking about Tanner and Dobby is there on
- 7:11Speaker 2: the daybed as well, and she's just kind of bashing
- 7:15Speaker 2: Tanner and saying how she's above him, and you know,
- 7:18Speaker 2: Dovey's in a weird place because she just got there.
- 7:20Speaker 2: She probably doesn't have the depth of friendships that these
- 7:23Speaker 2: other women have and she's just kind of having to
- 7:24Speaker 2: take it. We really don't see a reaction out of her.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I think she just didn't want to get involved with
- 7:29Speaker 3: Cat's drama. She is the most dramatic person.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It is feeling. I just didn't expect to set a Cat.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I guess this is what my whole point is. I
- 7:39Speaker 2: didn't expect Cat to be this way because during her
- 7:44Speaker 2: time on The Bachelorette, I remember her.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Being so she was way more subdued.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember her being in my top two most
- 7:51Speaker 2: of the season. Yes, until she wasn't. In this episode,
- 7:57Speaker 2: she is. She is fiery, and she is out to
- 8:00Speaker 2: go after the things that she wants. Right.
- 8:02Speaker 3: The Tanner thing is so selfish for sure, or self centered?
- 8:06Speaker 3: She is self centered. I somebody's throwing around the narcissist word.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't like to throw on that.
- 8:11Speaker 2: She's just definitely out like there is no there's no
- 8:16Speaker 2: consideration the empathy for the situation that is that is
- 8:21Speaker 2: around her now. It is interesting me, outside of maybe
- 8:24Speaker 2: how we're seeing her being shown, it is interesting me
- 8:29Speaker 2: that Olivia continues to be the one that is caught
- 8:32Speaker 2: up when somebody else wants somebody else's man, right, Like
- 8:35Speaker 2: when we saw this during the very beginning.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Yeah it was Kylie. She was going up against with
- 8:41Speaker 3: Kylie Thott. Who would have thought, I like forgot because like,
- 8:44Speaker 3: look at Kylie right now, she's so settled.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I guess Kylie Naven is the relationship we never mentioned
- 8:49Speaker 2: because we don't see much of them, and they seem
- 8:52Speaker 2: like really good and solid.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I read somewhere that he made some sort of snip
- 8:57Speaker 3: on social media alluding to the fact that he's annoyed
- 9:02Speaker 3: at the fact that they have very little screen time.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Well sorry, but to be honest, so Cat to calm
- 9:10Speaker 2: down and you'll get some screen time.
- 9:12Speaker 3: You guys seem pretty like you yeah, pretty together, but
- 9:15Speaker 3: you're a little boring.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Well, I mean, every good couple in Paradise never gets shown.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I know, it happens every season until like the last
- 9:22Speaker 2: week and we're like, oh, yeah, they're still there and
- 9:23Speaker 2: they're still together, and maybe they'll be happy one day.
- 9:26Speaker 2: But I mean, it's not a big deal TV.
- 9:28Speaker 3: That's just not TV.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It's not TV. You can only show people like having
- 9:32Speaker 2: good conversation and making out so many times until they're
- 9:35Speaker 2: still on the couch hav a good conversation and making out. Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 2: it is interesting me that Olivia continues to get kind
- 9:51Speaker 2: of thrown into a mess. Yeah, and Olivia is your girl, Well,
- 9:56Speaker 2: yeah she did. She was a little mean this episode.
- 9:58Speaker 2: For me, I up until this point, I think she
- 10:02Speaker 2: was funny and like had a good good a good
- 10:06Speaker 2: way of protecting and kind of like hiding her own
- 10:08Speaker 2: sadness and emotion by kind of being funny. She got
- 10:11Speaker 2: a little bit too personal with Kat during some of
- 10:13Speaker 2: those ims. For me, it felt it felt like, hey,
- 10:18Speaker 2: now I'm starting to see maybe, like that a little
- 10:20Speaker 2: bit of the mean girl behavior that I never had
- 10:22Speaker 2: seen before, where I always saw she was just kind
- 10:25Speaker 2: of like protecting herself by being funny. But I still
- 10:31Speaker 2: I still want I mean, I still want Olivia to
- 10:33Speaker 2: be happy. And this John Henry relationship is is funny
- 10:37Speaker 2: to me because yeah, John Henry is everything Olivia says.
- 10:40Speaker 2: He is right, he is sweet, he's good looking. I
- 10:44Speaker 2: don't think he has any clue how much he could
- 10:47Speaker 2: get wrapped up into a love triangle and get spit
- 10:49Speaker 2: out on the other end and just get destroyed. Like
- 10:51Speaker 2: I think he is a genuinely good dude who doesn't
- 10:55Speaker 2: quite understand.
- 10:57Speaker 3: He's pretty aloof. Yes, yeah, he's I also think that
- 11:01Speaker 3: he like doesn't really care that much thenk that's why
- 11:03Speaker 3: he is a loof. I don't think he's like imagining
- 11:07Speaker 3: himself getting married from this experiment.
- 11:10Speaker 2: And that's fine, but I do think he is. He's
- 11:13Speaker 2: he's treading dangerous water right now, because how this could
- 11:20Speaker 2: play out for him actually is if this goes poorly
- 11:24Speaker 2: for John Henry, and it will, it's there's too much
- 11:28Speaker 2: going on for not to maybe he ends up with
- 11:29Speaker 2: Olivia Kat goes home, and then maybe I could see
- 11:32Speaker 2: the water settling. But if this goes poorly and he
- 11:34Speaker 2: keeps like putting one toe in Cat's water and a
- 11:37Speaker 2: whole foot in Olivia's and trying to figure out which
- 11:39Speaker 2: one he wants, he's gonna have Olivian Cat coming at him.
- 11:43Speaker 3: I know, a very scary situation right now.
- 11:44Speaker 2: That is the scariest situation I can imagine, because those
- 11:47Speaker 2: two yelling at me like I would be crushed. They
- 11:53Speaker 2: could use words and use say things. I'd be like,
- 11:56Speaker 2: I have no clue what you're talking about. I'm so confused.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm right or wrong or if
- 12:00Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know where I stand in all this,
- 12:03Speaker 2: but I just want to go home because this is
- 12:05Speaker 2: so scary.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, no one, and those two are like loud. They
- 12:11Speaker 3: don't just say angry things, they like scream them.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And I think the reason that it would intimidate me
- 12:17Speaker 2: is because they both Kat with braydon not as much.
- 12:21Speaker 2: But she said a lot of things. Now they might
- 12:24Speaker 2: not have made sense, but she said a lot of
- 12:26Speaker 2: things very quickly, and she was very confident in how
- 12:29Speaker 2: she said them, even if they weren't true or weren't
- 12:31Speaker 2: making sense. She says, I'm so confident that you're, like,
- 12:33Speaker 2: I gotta believe you. Olivia, I think is just so quick,
- 12:37Speaker 2: like quick witted, yeah, and so good at like being
- 12:41Speaker 2: quick witted, that I would just be like lost in
- 12:45Speaker 2: her intelligence and her ability just to make me feel
- 12:48Speaker 2: so small. Yes, yes, that's that would be this thing
- 12:50Speaker 2: that would scare me the most. Now, so he is
- 12:54Speaker 2: John Henry sits in a place where about mid part
- 12:57Speaker 2: of this episode, we start to see Kat come after him,
- 12:59Speaker 2: We start to see him have an interesting cat. We
- 13:02Speaker 2: see Olivia's reaction to this. We can pause that now
- 13:06Speaker 2: because Genevieve shows back up to the or shows up
- 13:09Speaker 2: to the beach for the first time. I don't remember
- 13:12Speaker 2: Genevieve from Zach season, but she is like beautiful and
- 13:17Speaker 2: she I know. She says she's like lacking some confidence.
- 13:21Speaker 2: She has our time making eyes attack, but like, I
- 13:25Speaker 2: don't see any of that. I see a confident person
- 13:28Speaker 2: coming down to the beach. And I didn't necessarily sincessarily
- 13:33Speaker 2: see the Blake connection.
- 13:36Speaker 3: He didn't feel like any passion, but they didn't feel
- 13:38Speaker 3: like a romance beginning, okay, because yeah, I think I
- 13:42Speaker 3: think I feel it again. Don't feel like this long
- 13:44Speaker 3: term like love romance, but I do think it's what
- 13:48Speaker 3: Blake needs, somebody who is obviously interested in him and
- 13:55Speaker 3: like puts him at ease. And then I think obviously
- 14:00Speaker 3: staying home with Jess realizes that staying home and him
- 14:04Speaker 3: letting him go out probably did open a door for
- 14:07Speaker 3: her with Tyler. Now I cannot wait to see how
- 14:10Speaker 3: this unfolds with Mercedes, because he literally goes, you know,
- 14:14Speaker 3: Mercedes is like my girl, But I could really kiss
- 14:18Speaker 3: you right now. And then I was remembering who did
- 14:21Speaker 3: he kiss last week? I couldn't remember.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Who he kissed her on the campfire last week, there's
- 14:27Speaker 4: somebody in a Truth or Dare and I was like, Oh,
- 14:29Speaker 4: where's Mercedes. I guess it's inconsequential because maybe it was
- 14:34Speaker 4: the Truth or Dare.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I don't think it was.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Jass No the either. The date with Blake and Genevie
- 14:40Speaker 2: I do think had a lot more chemistry than maybe
- 14:44Speaker 2: we even saw. I do think it was good for Blake.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I do think the two of them make sense together.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I didn't see that couple coming because I didn't quite
- 14:51Speaker 2: understand how much separation there was between Jess and Blake.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I know that conversation happened, but I didn't think either
- 15:00Speaker 2: of them would act on it, because I thought the
- 15:02Speaker 2: two of them would kind of come back together and
- 15:03Speaker 2: be like, yeah, but you're the best thing I got here.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So the Blake Genevievey, you know, date did show me
- 15:09Speaker 2: there are legs to the two of them things interesting.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I definitely thought they were over after that conversation.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I also think that the thing we're seeing and we
- 15:18Speaker 2: saw it week one, and we saw we heard it
- 15:21Speaker 2: as we prep for Paradise, as a lot of these
- 15:24Speaker 2: guys came to Paradise with an interest in Jess like
- 15:27Speaker 2: I think.
- 15:27Speaker 3: She yeah, well she's super hot.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Well I just think she's the hot commodity coming down.
- 15:32Speaker 2: And Tyler wants to kiss her because he's like, yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 2: Mercedes is my girl, and I'm so glad. But like,
- 15:39Speaker 2: I didn't have a chance with you back then because
- 15:41Speaker 2: you were with Blake, and now I do. Yeah, And
- 15:43Speaker 2: it's kind of like Sean. Sean was like, I didn't
- 15:46Speaker 2: have a chance with you from week one because you're
- 15:48Speaker 2: with Blake. Now I know I'm going home, So like,
- 15:50Speaker 2: are you interested in this? Like I think Jess, if
- 15:54Speaker 2: you looked at the dude's text threads leading up to Paradise,
- 15:57Speaker 2: I think all of them are like, you know, it
- 16:00Speaker 2: reminds me of the Jade situation back in the day,
- 16:02Speaker 2: like totally, you know, they were all coming down and
- 16:04Speaker 2: being like, whoever's gonna help with Jess is very lucky. Granted,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I don't think any of the guys that are finding
- 16:09Speaker 2: the text start texting about Jess ended up with Jess
- 16:11Speaker 2: at the beginning, because I think Blake was probably on
- 16:13Speaker 2: his own island coming down without really knowing anybody. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 2: and all these guys in the last season we're texting
- 16:18Speaker 2: and then he gets her and they're like, well, dang it,
- 16:20Speaker 2: like none of us said it guy.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, and then we just have to mention I'm sorry,
- 16:28Speaker 3: but I'm just realizing that, like, while this is going on,
- 16:31Speaker 3: Kat is still like screaming and causing drama. One she
- 16:35Speaker 3: said one, it's the whole like I need to be
- 16:37Speaker 3: made out with with tongue. Like the entire theme of
- 16:40Speaker 3: the episode is that Kat needs to be made out
- 16:41Speaker 3: with with tongue and that John Henry has a tongue
- 16:45Speaker 3: piercing and this is really turning her on. And then
- 16:50Speaker 3: she's also telling Eliza that Aaron B has like a
- 16:55Speaker 3: shady past and that Charity said that of all my guys,
- 17:01Speaker 3: watch out the most for Aaron B, which I said
- 17:04Speaker 3: last week was shocking and they were like twisting all
- 17:07Speaker 3: the previews to make it look like this. But apparently
- 17:10Speaker 3: yes so because even though Charity brought him back to
- 17:14Speaker 3: the top three and then Winter seen that before she
- 17:18Speaker 3: gets off the show and gets a DM from one
- 17:21Speaker 3: of his exes and no, here's the debate that you
- 17:25Speaker 3: and I have to decide. Does this decipher a bit?
- 17:28Speaker 1: Here?
- 17:30Speaker 3: Charity gets these dms saying like Aaron left me his
- 17:34Speaker 3: girlfriend to be on the show with you, and like,
- 17:39Speaker 3: we were dating but he you know, a classic scenario,
- 17:41Speaker 3: a Jed scenario, right, But then and then Kat goes.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Kat goes and reveals this to Eliza, and first we're like, okay,
- 17:52Speaker 3: is this is Kat just being dramatic or is this legit?
- 17:56Speaker 3: Later in the episode, Charity comes down, of course, and
- 18:00Speaker 3: she sits down with Eliza and tells her exactly what happened,
- 18:04Speaker 3: and it seems as if Charity believes this girl who
- 18:08Speaker 3: DMed her. Then Eliza goes and sits down with Aaron
- 18:14Speaker 3: and confronts him about this, and then Aaron gives her
- 18:17Speaker 3: the weirdest story of all time. And then again with
- 18:21Speaker 3: the confusion theme, because he goes, well, I was dating
- 18:25Speaker 3: a girl and we ended it in September, and then
- 18:27Speaker 3: I was and then we're not sure if he is
- 18:30Speaker 3: another girl or the same girl. And he goes and
- 18:33Speaker 3: then in December something something something, I got the call
- 18:36Speaker 3: on I got the call to be on the Bachelor
- 18:39Speaker 3: at in December, and then in January he ended things
- 18:43Speaker 3: and it's like, wait, dude, we are so confused and
- 18:46Speaker 3: we don't have clarity on this situation.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I thought his claim was that he was dating girl.
- 18:50Speaker 2: They ended, and then he started dating another girl girl.
- 18:53Speaker 3: In October, and then he got the call in December,
- 18:57Speaker 3: and then in January he ended things and then they
- 18:59Speaker 3: call the show back and was by the way, I'd
- 19:01Speaker 3: like to go on in March.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Maybe I don't remember the January piece, but it could
- 19:07Speaker 2: have been.
- 19:08Speaker 3: So despite the fact that we're all confused about timelines
- 19:11Speaker 3: and like how many girls there are, it sounds as
- 19:13Speaker 3: if there's two who do you believe here? The girls
- 19:19Speaker 3: that are Dming or Aaron.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I believe them all.
- 19:22Speaker 3: There's like a weird middle ground for you.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I think there's a middle ground. Yeah, I believe them all.
- 19:27Speaker 2: I think you know, I think that Aaron went on
- 19:31Speaker 2: the Bachelorette. And it's interesting with the storyline that we
- 19:36Speaker 2: know now has came out of the Bachelorette, kind of
- 19:39Speaker 2: Aaron B's story today.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Because aren't you shocked? Like Charity really liked him, really
- 19:45Speaker 3: liked him.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I think she liked him less than what we saw
- 19:49Speaker 2: because Okay, he just showed up to the beach, and
- 19:51Speaker 2: I think she kept him around or kind of like
- 19:55Speaker 2: had him there because she didn't know what to do, you.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Mean, money, She accepted him back top three.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I don't even you know, I think
- 20:03Speaker 2: that was I think it was probably she knew what
- 20:05Speaker 2: she was going to do the whole time, and so
- 20:07Speaker 2: I think this was just kind of a hiccup or
- 20:10Speaker 2: a speed bump in the road for her. I believe
- 20:13Speaker 2: them all. I believe that Aaron was dating people. I
- 20:17Speaker 2: don't know the exact timeline, because yes, it was confusing.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I believe he was dating up until he left pretty
- 20:23Speaker 2: much for the Bachelorette. Yes, And and when he left
- 20:29Speaker 2: for the Bachelorette, I do believe he ended the relationships
- 20:31Speaker 2: that existed to pursue the Bachelorette, to pursue charity because
- 20:36Speaker 2: he knew she was going to be the Bachelorette.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I don't necessarily know if that's wrong to go on
- 20:42Speaker 3: the show when you're casually dating some money.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yeah, if you've ended it, oh yeah, And if you've
- 20:47Speaker 2: ended it, if you've ended it and it's been clear
- 20:50Speaker 2: to all parties that it's over, then I don't think
- 20:54Speaker 2: that's a problem necessarily.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Yeah, but like you're still going to get the what
- 21:00Speaker 3: he calls a disgruntled X sending dms trying to come
- 21:04Speaker 3: after you saying that he broke up with me because
- 21:07Speaker 3: of the show, And.
- 21:08Speaker 2: If he did, great, If he broke up with her
- 21:11Speaker 2: because he saw a better future possibly with Charity, Let's
- 21:14Speaker 2: let's assume that was his reasoning and not to get
- 21:16Speaker 2: the claim and the fame from the show. Yeah, let's
- 21:18Speaker 2: assume that it was because he said, Hey, this relationship
- 21:22Speaker 2: I don't see is going anywhere. It's no different than
- 21:24Speaker 2: what people do in paradise. I don't see this relationship
- 21:27Speaker 2: going anywhere. I'm going to move on now to somebody
- 21:29Speaker 2: I think there's a better future possibly with, and that's Charity.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I don't think we can be upset about that, Like,
- 21:36Speaker 2: I don't think that's wrong.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah, because like, really, could you imagine leaving your soulmate
- 21:44Speaker 3: as somebody you sees as a future spouse to go
- 21:46Speaker 3: on the show then, and that if that is really
- 21:49Speaker 3: what your relationship was like, like it was that serious
- 21:52Speaker 3: and that wonderful that person left you for the show, Well,
- 21:55Speaker 3: then you probably don't want to be with him exactly.
- 21:58Speaker 2: So you broke up you were seeing on the show. Yeah,
- 22:01Speaker 2: but that is the big That is the thing that's
- 22:03Speaker 2: always been on this podcast. Actually, what we've criticized for
- 22:07Speaker 2: it's not that you might have been dating leading up
- 22:09Speaker 2: to the show. For goodness sake, I hope you were
- 22:12Speaker 2: dating leading up to the show. If you weren't, like,
- 22:15Speaker 2: you know, if you're interested in finding love and you
- 22:17Speaker 2: weren't trying by dating, then I don't know what to
- 22:20Speaker 2: tell you. Everybody was dating. But if you were going
- 22:24Speaker 2: on the show and you're single, there's no problem with that,
- 22:26Speaker 2: even if I mean, I would go as far as
- 22:28Speaker 2: even if it was the day before you left that
- 22:30Speaker 2: you're like, I've been like trying to figure out if
- 22:32Speaker 2: I want to do this or not, and I just
- 22:34Speaker 2: don't see a future for this. It's over. I'm going
- 22:36Speaker 2: to go. I'm going to get on that plane tomorrow
- 22:38Speaker 2: and go. I still think that's okay. The difference would
- 22:42Speaker 2: be if they were still dating and he went.
- 22:43Speaker 3: On Okay, all right, I kind of I guess would
- 22:46Speaker 3: really boil down to it. I guess I do agree
- 22:49Speaker 3: with you. I think what we were concerned about here
- 22:55Speaker 3: is if he left, went on the show and did
- 23:00Speaker 3: it with the intent that perhaps he was going to
- 23:03Speaker 3: get back with her. Is there any at all that.
- 23:06Speaker 2: It could be. I mean, it definitely could be that
- 23:08Speaker 2: maybe he went on the show again could be a.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Huge read flag. That's just not a huge read flag,
- 23:13Speaker 3: do you because I'm not sure.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I think it is a red flag enough for Eliza
- 23:17Speaker 2: to confront him on it and be like, tell me
- 23:19Speaker 2: more at this. Yeah. I think he did a terrible
- 23:22Speaker 2: job at explaining.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Explaining it like so bad because he was so awkward, Like,
- 23:27Speaker 3: I get it, he was cornered and there's probably some
- 23:31Speaker 3: truth to it all, he was way too vague and
- 23:38Speaker 3: just felt like it just felt like in his explanation
- 23:40Speaker 3: he was trying to just get it over with.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Sure, I think he did a terrible job and explaining himself.
- 23:45Speaker 2: But if if what we said, if what he said
- 23:49Speaker 2: when you boil all the confusion down is actually true
- 23:52Speaker 2: that a relationship was ended and he went on the show,
- 23:54Speaker 2: I don't think it's like a red flag enough for
- 23:56Speaker 2: Eliza to be like, I can't date you anymore because
- 23:59Speaker 2: your values and your morals don't align with mine. I
- 24:02Speaker 2: don't think that's the case. I do think Eliza has
- 24:05Speaker 2: questions now, and I think.
- 24:07Speaker 3: She should be more skeptical now.
- 24:10Speaker 2: She could be more skeptical, yes, a little bit, but.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Also like, think about all the people who get annoyed
- 24:19Speaker 3: seeing their x on the show.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Here's what I don't love. The Bachelor world is is
- 24:36Speaker 2: one where you know, there's a lot of communication, positive
- 24:39Speaker 2: and negative going around all the time about every contestant
- 24:43Speaker 2: who has made any type of name for you know,
- 24:45Speaker 2: from the show, especially those that are living in going
- 24:48Speaker 2: to Paradise. I don't love Cat's move here. I think
- 24:51Speaker 2: that was probably the worst piece to me. She brought
- 24:56Speaker 2: Charity the bachelorette into a situation that Charity was not
- 25:01Speaker 2: around to defend herself or to speak to because she
- 25:04Speaker 2: wasn't on the beach yp and Kat is good friends
- 25:07Speaker 2: with Charity, besties, they say.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Which it's an odd couple there. There's must be a
- 25:13Speaker 3: whole other side of Cat that we're not seeing because
- 25:16Speaker 3: the girls actually seem to have some sort of loyalty
- 25:18Speaker 3: to order.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Well, I think she's funny, and I think she's like,
- 25:21Speaker 2: I think she's probably your friend that you're like, that's
- 25:23Speaker 2: just Cat, Like yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Exactly, yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 2: But if Kat is like if I told you something
- 25:29Speaker 2: actually in confidence, or even if I didn't say, hey,
- 25:32Speaker 2: please don't tell anybody this, if I just told you
- 25:34Speaker 2: something and then I saw you on Paradise and you're like,
- 25:39Speaker 2: you know, Ben told me that that person kind of
- 25:44Speaker 2: like isn't as good as I thought he was. Ill
- 25:47Speaker 2: I would be upset with you. I would be like, Ashulely,
- 25:50Speaker 2: you brought me into television when I wasn't I wasn't there,
- 25:53Speaker 2: and I don't like that. You're a friend of mine,
- 25:55Speaker 2: and I respect kind of the code of privacy to
- 25:59Speaker 2: be able to confide in you you in a friendship
- 26:01Speaker 2: and know that it's never going to come back to
- 26:03Speaker 2: bite me.
- 26:04Speaker 3: It sounded as if Charity wanted this information to get
- 26:07Speaker 3: out because she said, like my girls. She was like,
- 26:10Speaker 3: my girls, all my guys are wonderful that are going
- 26:13Speaker 3: except watch out for him. So I do think it
- 26:15Speaker 3: was something for everybody to sort of know that.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Could make sense. She gave that permission that I get it.
- 26:20Speaker 3: She didn't seem annoyed by it. Okay, So besides that storyline,
- 26:24Speaker 3: which we have no idea what kind of move Eliza
- 26:27Speaker 3: is going to make after that, we need to talk
- 26:30Speaker 3: about Brayden bringing Becca on this date or back up
- 26:34Speaker 3: bringing Braiden on the date. It was I think a
- 26:37Speaker 3: bummer for all of us, just because we were really
- 26:40Speaker 3: rooting for Rachel and Braden. They seemed so cute last
- 26:43Speaker 3: week and now it's actually only a day after their date.
- 26:49Speaker 3: That sounds seems wacky, but yeah, it's a day after
- 26:51Speaker 3: their date. And Beca invites him on and they're and
- 26:56Speaker 3: he says early in the date that he thought he
- 26:59Speaker 3: had the great time somebody can have with Rachel, but
- 27:03Speaker 3: then this date far exceeded it, really early on. That's oh,
- 27:07Speaker 3: that sucks.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, good for them that they have such
- 27:12Speaker 2: a good date. I do think Braiden, I don't think
- 27:16Speaker 2: this was a great move on Braiden's part, because I
- 27:21Speaker 2: think you needed to give Rachel a little bit more time.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I do think there was something special there. They had
- 27:26Speaker 2: a lot of fun together. It does, in a wild way,
- 27:29Speaker 2: kind of fit for me, the two.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Of them together, and you mean Rachel and him.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Rachel and him. Yeah, and even if he was interested
- 27:36Speaker 2: in Becca at some point during this whole process, actually,
- 27:41Speaker 2: I would assume I've never been again, never done it.
- 27:44Speaker 2: I would assume, as attractive as everybody is and as
- 27:48Speaker 2: cool as everybody is, at some point you say, hey,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna if I came here looking for love, I'm
- 27:54Speaker 2: gonna settle down now, like I need to at least
- 27:56Speaker 2: play this one out, And it felt like Rachel Braiden
- 28:00Speaker 2: had enough fun and enough chemistry where he could have
- 28:04Speaker 2: easily said Becca, I'm super interested. You're gorgeous, but I
- 28:08Speaker 2: want to play this one out for a bit with
- 28:10Speaker 2: Rachel to see where it goes.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah, he was too giddy. The giddiness made me disappointed
- 28:16Speaker 3: because I thought the giddiness was a reserved for Rachel
- 28:18Speaker 3: at this point. But maybe it was a little bit
- 28:21Speaker 3: too early on. And I'm also not ruling them out
- 28:23Speaker 3: having something, even though he did say that on their date.
- 28:26Speaker 3: I think Beca just seems like I just feel more
- 28:31Speaker 3: substance with what he has with Rachel, so we'll see.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Well, we know Rachel better too. I think that's why.
- 28:37Speaker 3: We're obviously rooting for them, because we have such more
- 28:40Speaker 3: of a loyalty towards Rachel.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but that was a shocker for me. It was
- 28:44Speaker 2: a shocker that Braden is going on another date. It's
- 28:46Speaker 2: a shocker that really any man here that had it
- 28:52Speaker 2: feels like that kind of has a connection with Rachel
- 28:55Speaker 2: is not like super interested in it because we know
- 28:59Speaker 2: her well and she has some incredible qualities, she's beautiful,
- 29:03Speaker 2: she took the chance on one on the beach. It
- 29:05Speaker 2: would just I would just assume.
- 29:06Speaker 3: So freaking good this season, she just looks amazing, so
- 29:09Speaker 3: glowing in paradise.
- 29:11Speaker 2: At some point, somebody's going to be like, you know what,
- 29:13Speaker 2: I want to try this thing out with Rachel. If
- 29:15Speaker 2: it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but at least this
- 29:17Speaker 2: is a good like a good thing for me because
- 29:20Speaker 2: I think she's great and we think she's great. So,
- 29:24Speaker 2: as you mentioned, Charity does come down to the beach. Now,
- 29:27Speaker 2: after kind of all this being said, she sits down.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Mostly the big thing here is with Eliza to kind
- 29:33Speaker 2: of go over what we've already talked about when it
- 29:36Speaker 2: comes to her concerns about Aaron B. Eliza confronts Aaron
- 29:41Speaker 2: B and we get the really really confusing, super super
- 29:45Speaker 2: confusing answers from Aaron B that make no sense. And
- 29:49Speaker 2: we have done everything we possibly can during this podcast
- 29:52Speaker 2: to try to clear up what he was trying to say,
- 29:57Speaker 2: but he just didn't say it well and and so
- 30:00Speaker 2: we were yet to be seen what happens now moving
- 30:04Speaker 2: into the next episode, with Eliza making that choice on
- 30:07Speaker 2: if she you know stays in this relationship or not. Ashley,
- 30:11Speaker 2: I guess to kind of close up here, do you
- 30:13Speaker 2: hope she stays in this relationship?
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Yeah I do.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I don't feel like so strong, Like I don't like
- 30:21Speaker 3: have like a ton of strong feelings for them, But
- 30:24Speaker 3: I don't think this is breakup worthy.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Okay, So we have the sneak peeks for next week.
- 30:31Speaker 2: John Henry, we see kiss Cat, so maybe he is
- 30:34Speaker 2: in the Cat.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, there's definitely gonna be some real ceremony drama
- 30:38Speaker 3: over that triangle.
- 30:40Speaker 2: We see the Cat in Olivia confrontation, which I cannot
- 30:42Speaker 2: wait because, like I said, I think the two of
- 30:44Speaker 2: them are probably the most quick witted and also have
- 30:48Speaker 2: no hold back on what they will say to each other.
- 30:51Speaker 2: That could be a front seat that I would like
- 30:53Speaker 2: to have.
- 30:54Speaker 3: It could be like the entire episode. I'd be okay
- 30:56Speaker 3: with that.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be wild. It's gonna be interesting.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Oh my god. And what we don't see teas but
- 31:02Speaker 3: I can only imagine is coming. It must be coming.
- 31:05Speaker 3: We're going into week seven is Katie Thurston's arrival, especially
- 31:09Speaker 3: with Blake coming back from this date with Genevieve.
- 31:13Speaker 2: At some point she's had to show up. We know
- 31:15Speaker 2: she was there, we just don't know if it's going
- 31:17Speaker 2: to be shown now or not. I guess, and.
- 31:19Speaker 3: I'm eager to see what happens with Jess and Tyler
- 31:21Speaker 3: and Mercedes Ashley.
- 31:23Speaker 2: To close up everything, I want to play a little
- 31:24Speaker 2: game with you after next week's episode. Let's assume there's
- 31:28Speaker 2: no new arrivals. Okay, no new arrivals. We're ending next
- 31:32Speaker 2: week's episode. This is going into the week eight. Now,
- 31:37Speaker 2: what couples will be together?
- 31:39Speaker 3: I do think Eliza and Aaron b will be together?
- 31:42Speaker 3: Are we talking couples? Are like? Who's going to give
- 31:44Speaker 3: roses to? Who?
- 31:45Speaker 2: Who's going to give rose to? Who?
- 31:48Speaker 3: Predict the next rose ceremony?
- 31:50Speaker 2: Sure?
- 31:52Speaker 3: I think Tyler is going to give Jess's rose. I
- 31:54Speaker 3: think Blake is going to give Genevieve's rose. I think
- 31:58Speaker 3: that even to Kylie will probably be the most secure relationship. Oh,
- 32:04Speaker 3: Peter and Sam. I think Peter to Sam, We're not
- 32:08Speaker 3: going to see a lot of them because I don't
- 32:09Speaker 3: think it's very heavy. I actually think Brandon is going
- 32:14Speaker 3: to end up somehow giving Rachel arose. It's just my guess.
- 32:18Speaker 3: And then who am I missing, and then who's gonna
- 32:21Speaker 3: give catterer? I think John Henry's rose. Who do I
- 32:26Speaker 3: think John? I think it's going to be I want
- 32:30Speaker 3: to Okay, I think it's going to be Olivia.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Okay, So we'll say Mercedes and Becca will be going
- 32:44Speaker 2: home then at least from this group that we expect,
- 32:50Speaker 2: and I would say I agree with everything you just said,
- 32:52Speaker 2: and Kat would be then going home as well.
- 32:54Speaker 3: You do you pick Olivia over Kat?
- 32:57Speaker 2: I think at this point I have a feeling that
- 33:01Speaker 2: one of these dudes is going to sit down with
- 33:02Speaker 2: John Henry and be like, what are you doing? Like, yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 2: I know everything your body's telling you yes, but.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Will be going giving to I.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Think everybody's gonna say that John Henry's body tells him yes,
- 33:16Speaker 2: but his mind should start telling him no, and that
- 33:19Speaker 2: he should uh, he should just pick Olivia and uh
- 33:24Speaker 2: and make his life a little easier. I don't know
- 33:28Speaker 2: that that the conversations about his tonguering really made be uncomfortable.
- 33:31Speaker 2: There was a lot of innuan so much, so much,
- 33:34Speaker 2: so much goodness gracious, that poor fella he is is
- 33:37Speaker 2: gonna get he is going to get destroyed.
- 33:39Speaker 3: The vibrating tongue ring, A.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Vibrating tongue ring. M I can't imagine. Anyways, Hey, this
- 33:47Speaker 2: has been this week's episode of Bachelor in Paradise breakdown.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Actually and I are going to continue with another episode
- 33:54Speaker 2: of The Golden Bachelor. We've had headlines this week, so
- 33:57Speaker 2: make sure you go back and listen to those until
- 34:00Speaker 2: next week when who knows what the tornado of cat
- 34:03Speaker 2: Olivia and the poor guy John Henry is going to
- 34:08Speaker 2: look like. I've been Ben, I've been Ashley.
- 34:11Speaker 3: See ya.
