- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to another episode of the Cavality Faber Cyberhost here at Triple Shoting.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's always this land standards.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: And we have a packed show for you today.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys want Mods Draftsville, this is the show to tune in to you.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be running five of them.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think is what it's at.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be covering different, we're going to use different boards.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: As part of it, we're also going to cover a few different scenarios.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a time of year that I like to do this.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: And if I don't do it,
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, on a show, I do it myself, because guess what, teams are running to it.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: They're running my traffic, my traffic, my traffic, my traffic, my traffic, they'd run thousands of them to try to get different pictures as to what could possibly happen and everything like that.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what we're going to be doing for you today.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: But before I get into that, Lance, I want to say hello to you.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you are having a wonderful Friday night and how have you been since by Friday?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_04]: Well, first and foremost, let me just say that the draft cannot come quick enough, like this part of the draft process is the worse, the two weeks before it, because as I'm diving through as many of these processes I possibly can get to, I'm right at 175 players that I've watched, about 150 grades on my board, like trying to finalize as much as I possibly can.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I know it's late in this process.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_04]: I usually start a little bit earlier.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_04]: It is what it is,
- 1:36[SPEAKER_04]: After all, the hype after watching all the pro days, after going through all the information, a Dan Brueler just dropped the beast the other day, which is one of the boars that we're going to use today, is like diving through the beast a little bit and kind of bringing up some names that you don't typically hear for the Broncos.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's it's such a grind and it's such a thrill to be able to work through this, these last two weeks though, it's just like can can we just get this done can we please just get to get to
- 2:19[SPEAKER_04]: Two weeks from today is when the Broncos are going to be on the board for the on the clock for the first time, maybe about a half hour than this, I cannot wait to I'm so excited for this year's draft I'm I cannot wait to see how this all plays out dude like and again, we're here on a Friday evening to break it all down for you man, I'm excited.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but before we get into it, we're going to say a lot of some people here in the chat.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: We have Alex St. Broncos NFL draft Joe in a comment.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I wrote my scouting report on Joe in the comment today.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing that happens every single year, is I have my opinions on players, you know, from watching them, taking the notes.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then as a kind of like type up Maori
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: Huh, I'm a little bit higher.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: I like this guy a little bit more than I originally thought I didn't.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Colman's one of those guys, he is one that not, not at 62, but if everyone had to move up into the 90s or something to go get him, I'm for that because I wasn't super high on him, he was, he's still carries a fourth round grade for me, but again, typing up those notes into this gutter new port, I realized that I was, I liked him a lot more than I remembered I did when I watched him back in.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: December.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think is when it was M. Black saying I am party coming in So happy to say that.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know if I Spanish is correct.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a long time.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's a Spanish.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: It reminds me of Rob Gronkowski when he was celebrating something and he said exactly this and it was I am party Because he Misspoke shy let's say no free agent frenzy according to Sean Payton, but I'm here for mock draft frenzy Glad you are we have popular coming with the five dollars you've checked and get even in broadcast country.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go bow
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Todd St. Hello, broadcast country maxing evening broadcast country can't wait for the draft.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there can now, of course, Michael on campus and good evening the lights and Eric on the developer's go, Bob Broncos.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Todd asks trades are no trades unfortunately to the time and trying to get five mock traps in we're not going to be doing trades.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: For it I am sure over the next two weeks Nick and I will be doing mock drafts that will include trades.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we will have to wait and see with that Peter Milton not long until the draft now yet 13 days for round one.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: two weeks until the Broncos are on the clock.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Ernie Mace, Go Broncos Country, only Hello, Eric and Lance, and Hello to everyone of you out there in the chat, even those of you who are just watching and not actively commenting.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: We see you, we hear you.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: I can list off the names because we can kind of see who's all watching everything on our end, but we appreciate you guys.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: Feel free to join in the conversation as well.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, Lance, yeah, the five mock drafts that we're doing.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: We are going to cover a best case scenario where depending on how the simulator boards we're going to look at the guys out of there and be like, all right.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: Put on our Sean Peyton and George Peyton hats here.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Who do we, who do is it seem like they want at those picks?
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be that that's going to be one of them each of those picks where they kind of go obviously the later rounds 170 to 46 to 56 and 57 the fifth and seventh round picks that they have has a little bit more difficult to do that, but I think for the first three we can really do that.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Ross is going to do a worst case scenario where in this case depending on how the board falls.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: There may be guys there that are like, okay, we're going to say that they got drafted anyways, take them out of the options and we're going to go outside of that as not said, we're going to use Dame Brugler's the beast.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go off of that, pick in the best ways available.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to use the consensus board that's out there as well.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's a really great tool to kind of see how the cumulative of draft analysts view it.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then at the end, we're going to compare them all, but there's one other caveat with this throughout all five mock drafts, we are not going to select the same player, why it's has been tasked to make sure that he keeps track of everybody that we drift so that we that way we do not double up, we want between the five mock drafts, we want what there's one, two, three, four, seven picks right, yes, seven picks, so you're any five different players between the mock drafts, that's what we want.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: And before we get into Peter Molten as can Eric, are your notes up potential draft picks influence from previous draft picks, successes or surprises by the broadcast?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking Bonito for example, example.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I always adjust how I kind of view things a little bit based off of players who go into the NFL that's a seed that I kind of didn't.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean for every Nick Bonito that is there, who I wasn't super low on because of multiple reasons, there are a bunch of similar players to them that have gone onto the NFL and failed.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of a little bit of a given take and you don't want to overcorrect, which is a major difficult difficulty that a lot of people have, one of those biggest difficulties being the overcorrection for Josh Allen, right, the rod traits as a quarterback.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: So you kind of got to balance it out, but I do, I do look into things like that and factor it in and it kind of helps like, all right, they've in the case with Denver specifically with Nick Benito, it's like, all right, they had success developing him into a player, so even though I'm not high on that type of player.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: They could look at that success using what they use, what they knew and everything with how they developed them and all that and translated it over to this player and tried to get some of success out of it instead of a completely different archetype and prototype that they want.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: So there is a little bit of that as well, an Albert and opera saying how to Eric Lance and Albrugzense, what draft pick by the Broncos we totally knocked your socks off positively or negatively.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Lance, I'll let you take this one first.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_04]: Quite honestly, as much as it would stun me, I think that they could probably go in this particular direction, but taking another defensive back with 62 overall, whether it's a safety, whether it's a, actually, I would prefer them to take a safety, but it, like, trading stukes from Arizona was potentially the fall.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_04]: I got it's very versatile play inside outside.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_04]: It has some safety versus 42.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: Like, that would be one is like, oh, I,
- 8:20[SPEAKER_04]: not negative.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's just definitely a direction that I wouldn't prefer them to go with.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, quarterback would be one, too.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_04]: Like, given where the Broncos are selecting in this particular draft, it's so hard.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_04]: I was wanting to bring up a conversation that Eric and I had had, for a potential show over the next couple of weeks, and outside of the box thinking of where the Broncos are drafting, and everyone wants them to draft a running back and inside by and back for a tie-in.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_04]: What outside the box kind of players or positions would you want the Broncos a draft number 62?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: Well at 62 it's so wide open because one you really don't know how the board falls and like what positional value is there what players are falling that you might have higher up on your board.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: It's it's so hard to have that kind of a conversation.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: So to go in like a positive or negative in terms of where they are at right now, I don't necessarily have anyone that would
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: Like knock my socks off outside of like corner back.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: Like a true outside corner back after taking Jada Barron and it depends on what they do with Riley Moss, obviously in this particular situation.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_04]: But why receiver would be one, Todd Osundorf jump it in here saying a why receiver would be one that would be a very interesting move for them.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_04]: especially after trading for Jalen model, but I could see an interior offensive lineman with Ben Towers on the last year of his deal, Mike McGlinchie at Tackle, that would be one that I would be okay with, an interior defensive line, like it wouldn't surprise me to see them go in that.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: The one that would really kind of, like, I don't agree with this with probably be widersy rarec.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it's tough because I think that you can make a case for just about any position for the Broncos to go with.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's 60 to you.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you want to split it up a little bit, a nickel corner is a little bit more difficult than an outside corner, just because of the should a bear in jick on the millen.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So that can be a bit interesting there and trade on stuccy, you know, he's, you know, a safety corner, I think he's a nickel.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he is basically what's his face said that safety nickel out of Georgia a few years back that's gone to the NFL and it's just been a nickel Smith issue.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think the last time it's been it's been a couple of years but it's
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: But that's kind of how I view him, but I think if you want to look at, you know, different types of safeties, Ajay also makes a lot of sense because he is that he can work in that to high that's kind of what he is that's his game work as a hash safety that can do a little bit of everything for you.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to have a box if you need him to to even though he's far less effective in the box even at 220 pounds like he's farther better off or that line so there's not really any but where he are going to get jump into this.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I got to pull up the mock draft and get it started as we are going to do start off with the best case scenario.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be again putting on our George Peyton and Sean Peyton Caps as to who who is left and kind of being like, all right, is that the that the guy that they kind of think of kind of going to scroll through here until I see somebody Mike Washington obviously he kind of stands out as one of those guys possibly Max Claire is another one.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: There is no.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: Eli Stauers here, no Rodriguez.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think those were the two that I was gonna hope and for here that I think they would make it easy.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: So in that case, I actually kind of think, just based off what's been going around.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think max clear, obviously a trade down, I think would actually be the best case in area, we'll be able to move down of five to ten spots and getting some extra picks and then making the pick, but again, we're not doing trades.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Without trades, I think that max clear, just again, based off of what's been kind of going around with the running back position in the Broncos, I think max clear might be that guy for Denver here that they're looking at as as their pick with looking at who's left
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: To me, it would be either match-clare, and I understand all the...
- 12:27[SPEAKER_04]: The J.K. Dobbins rumors about how he wasn't their first choice and the conversation that was it at the combine or shortly after the combine were Sean Payton said that he was like the priority.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: There's conflicting reports coming out here.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think Mike Washington Jr. would be an option here, but I do agree with you.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_04]: I think that getting a player that can he can play as an attach inline block or even though he's never going to be like a truly effective blocker at the point of
- 12:53[SPEAKER_04]: But I got that can do that offer you a little bit of versatility.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_04]: I think that Max Clare is probably the right direction based on all of the reporting.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they've had Eli Stowers and they talked to Max Clare not only at the combine, but I believe it is pro-day.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_04]: They also think to had him in for a visit too.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_04]: So just to have that name on the board right now, that would be essentially where I think that they would go.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we locked in max clear as that best best pick or the the dream scenario I guess and again, I think it trade would be their ideal situation there kind of similar lead to what they did before taking RGR be last year made that slight trade down get a few extra picks be able to move around.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: But real quick, we have film with Glawson saying good evening, Eric and Lance could this be a year, we actually draft the tackle.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: Very well could be.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there's a better than not chance that they do just based office and the conversation has been around and they've been doing a lot of work on a couple of tackles that are due to as day three guys.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Burke there, he can be an option with one of the fourth or fifth round picks depending on how he's viewed.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: They have that guy out of UCF who's he's been getting what talked about as a seventh round pick.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they could I'm not expecting
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: at 62.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would be a big surprise for me, but it's entirely possible.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: They've definitely been doing their work on tackles this year.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: What about you, Lance?
- 14:14[SPEAKER_04]: I think Keegan's Roast out of Missouri would be a late-round pick that could be a potential option as a developmental guy inside outside versatility as well.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's got a good length and not the most powerful player, but that would be a guy that you could look at towards the tail and the straff class and
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: maybe if they wanted to go on that direction they could.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_04]: I would prefer if they did take a tackle earlier in this class.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_04]: Excuse me.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: I got like Mark L. Bell, Caleb Tiernan.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_04]: Mark L. Bell out of Miami, Caleb Tiernan from Northwestern.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_04]: Those guys are, I think Tiernan is probably a third ground pick.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_04]: Mark L. Bell probably a fourth or fifth round guy.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_04]: Athletic guys with some lengths.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: They, Mark L. Bell is better as a pass protector.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_04]: So it's Tiernan.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_04]: Those guys both
- 14:56[SPEAKER_04]: If you wanted to add a guide, they can play on the left side specifically to follow in the steps of other Garrett Bowles that that would make a lot of sense to me.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_04]: I just don't expect them to do that.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think that they want to kind of address more needs in terms of the interior of their defense at the safety position and adding a running back or tied in would be better in terms of what I would want them to do.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_04]: But to have them at attack, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and now again, best case scenario mock that we're kind of looking at here and unfortunately I am not seeing one that sticks out that would be like that is
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: That right there screams, you know, Sean Peyton George Peyton to me.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: School and through this, I think one of the closest ones here would be to cardio Davis because of how much George Peyton values quarters and having Riley Moss on the last year of his rookie deal.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Kilgore, but he's a nickel, he's one of those nickel guys.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Jude Bowery, I think that they've done a lot of work on Jude Bowery and his teammate Logan Taylor.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: Might be there.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Logan Taylor might be more of an option.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: Let me actually see if Logan Taylor is actually available, because I think
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's here.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's ranked 430 by pro football focus, but he has won that.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people have a lot higher than that.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard a lot of fourth fifth, even some third for him.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: So he is one.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: I know they're done a lot of work.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: He is very similar to Mike McGlinchu and Mike McGlinchu came out.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's a key Wheatly.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: I can see as well.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: But again, not a single play really similar as that dream scenario in this one.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_04]: Well, to me, I'm looking at the safety group here because you've got Zeki Wheatley, you've also got bugged Clark if I remember correctly when you were scrolling down through this.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_04]: So you've got a couple of players that can play in that it's not necessarily a too high that they do run a lot of like cover three match cover three with with with fans Joseph, but a guy that can play on single high post safety and with Brandon Jones, I brought this up multiple different times being on the last year of his deal coming off that torn pectoral muscle.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_04]: You lose page A
- 16:59[SPEAKER_04]: finding another safety.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they added Tyson Anderson who is more of a special teams player.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: I believe he only played like 5 or 10 snaps on the defensive side of the football for the Cincinnati Bengals last season.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: So to me, I think that given the way that this board is falling, I see Deontate lost in the linebacker from Alabama there as well.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_04]: It's just a couple of picks down here.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_04]: To me, it would be
- 17:20[SPEAKER_04]: given a dream scenario where you need to find a player that actually fits in with what the Broncos need to have.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_04]: It would be bug-harkers the keyately.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_04]: I do like your shout-on-to-cario Davis though, especially with the size and the length, which is more of a prototype of what
- 17:39[SPEAKER_04]: Um, dance Joseph likes in terms of his outside corner backs.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_04]: Like it size, length, physicality.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_04]: He's a guy that wants to contribute as a run defender.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_04]: He's not as fluid as you would like for advanced Joseph defense, but that makes a lot of sense too.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, Todd, come in and talk about who are Bernard.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: U-A-R, that's how it's spelled, U-R Bernard, um, he's an interesting one and real quick.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he is the first time I ever put a player on my board that I haven't actually watched because there's no tape of him.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: He is just that freaky of an athlete that he, he had, he deserved some place on my board.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: But one last shout out here, but we got to make this pick quickly because we're running long already.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Each keyc for that tackle, I'm kind of thinking is a keywheatly and then cage casey with the next pick.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Or going against the profile focus board that they're going to hate and getting Logan Taylor who there's been a lot of connecting there with Denver and Logan Taylor over the past few weeks.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_04]: So let's lock those two in.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_04]: Let's lock those two in.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_04]: Let's do the keywheatly and then go Logan Taylor.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and then, I mean, they get in six foot seven long guard or long tackle who can even play some guard and surprisingly, like even though he six what seven he actually plays with pretty good pad level getting to this point.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's tough.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Denver the bronch is they do some work on Josh Cameron, I believe they had him either in for a visit or they did a zoom meeting with him.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember which.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Armagede read Adams, keep building up the trenches, get them a developmental guard that could potentially replace Ben powers after this season, but I think, you know, we haven't taken a running back yet.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: And Denver has had interest in, um, Kaylon Black.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: I believe they spent a lot of time around him at the senior bull.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like one of those, it was one of the situations where like anytime, like people want to go talk to them, there was like a Broncos scout nearby, like kind of like as an add personal escort.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think they would really like to add a running back to this room.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: J. K. Dobbins wasn't their first option.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, plans.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: E, not even plan B.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, plan E after you know, you get through brace hall walker, a couple other guys at the end, HN, however, he was wanting to say his name.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I think best case scenario here would actually be Kale and Black.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to say I think I think it's Caitlyn Black here.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_04]: As much as I like levying on Moss, the injury concerns that he's had, Caitlyn Black is just one of those like truly, knows to the grindstone loves football.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_04]: He got done playing the national championship game and then participated in the senior bull and was one of the best running backs at the senior bull.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_04]: So that seems like a player that Sean Peyton wants in his room, especially the way that
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I see a couple of people, you know, Todd saying about Miles Kittselman doesn't really fit the mold that Denver is kind of looked at at Ted and on top of that is, you know, building a dream market, of course, what's coming out is often misdirection and all that there's been like no linking of Kittselman with Denver, they've been linked to a good majority of Ted ends he is not one and Todd.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: Happy early birthday.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_04]: I hope you have one of my dear early birthday buddy.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_04]: Happy early.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: You share a birthday with one of the worst people I know.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: My brother's ex-wife.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: Just this thing you know Todd, I will now forever remember your birthday because of that relation there with the birthdays to you.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, going on 246, this is where like one 70 was even kind of like thrown out the window, trying to go the best and
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not sure here.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we can just kind of throw things around.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: I do want to mention Tyler on Yadam, because guess who we're going to be doing this a little bit later going off his board, Dan Brugler has a third round grade on him.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: Mm-hmm.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's very high on him.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: And day to day think.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_04]: to to have him this late on even pro football focus his board is criminal like I I don't have a third round great on this player he's more solid than good like it like he's he's just a there there's no fatal flaw in his game he's not the most tremendous past rush or he there's some strength issues in terms of like like
- 22:33[SPEAKER_04]: playing against double teams in the running game.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_04]: But if you need a four-eye that's just going to be a quality rotational player for you, that can slide down and play a little bit of nose if you need them to, like, specifically on running downs, he's got enough first step explosive.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like, seriously dude, let's just take Tyler on yet him right here.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like, to me, I think that this is, there's enough value here, and if it's a need from what the Broncos have defensively, that I'm here for that.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't want to be clear, Todd, I wasn't out calling you the worst person.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: I know what the birthday tomorrow.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Just want to make clear on that.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: I know sometimes things can get miscommunicated, especially when I can kind of be a little bit scattered brain.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I really do hope that you have wonderful birthday tomorrow.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that you know.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing but goodness, like, honestly, we appreciate you in here, and, but we had Albert coming in, are you guys going to have a mock draft show with all the image you chose.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: We always do a round table.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea when it is.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: It'll probably be, it's honestly just a Sunday.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's usually a Sunday or Monday before the draft.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: My bet it'll be the Tuesday before the draft.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: So the 21st, right?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: 20 seconds.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, the 21st of drafts.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if that's a Tuesday, then the draft starts on Thursday, the 23rd.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that that would be my bet because especially of late chadden's act of kind of bounce out of it and As they put it, they don't do as much work in the draft and kind of let the draft guys kind of do it.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what the plan is with that here.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean at this point, we can just throw a bunch of things out there.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: Take a quarterback.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: Who's an athletic guy, tail and green coal Peyton, both of them, I think, would.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: bring a lot of fun.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think Cole Peyton is a little bit more of that Sean Peyton style.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: Gadget quarterback there.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: So locked him in and let's see.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody else that stands out or that you can think of that might be here this late.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: Fun fact with Landar Barton, there's a lot of teams that are considering a tight end, not a linebacker.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_04]: So I haven't, I, I,
- 24:38[SPEAKER_04]: You scroll past the name that it's a pet player of my chip train and the running back out of Toledo.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_04]: We've talked about him a lot though.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_04]: Jim Miller, the running back from Alabama is another fun one.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_04]: And him being this low is kind of surprising.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_04]: What is that 293 on the Bigboard here?
- 24:56[SPEAKER_04]: I actually have, I think, a late fifth, early sixth on on on player like that.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_04]: Good vision, patient, not the most powerful guy adds a little bit of versatility out of the backfield for you.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_04]: Rotational player for sure, but if you want to add just a little bit more juice to that running back room, that would be a player that I would kind of have my eyes on, especially given the fact, I mean, we, we already took.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_04]: Did we take it?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_04]: We took it on black.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, so we took K1 black already.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_04]: Miller offers up a little bit more versatility there, and that would make a little bit of sense, especially as a dart throw in the seventh round.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gonna go with Jam Miller.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there is a little bit of redundancy.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that Miller is a whole very versatile.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't be surprised that all of you goes undrafted.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: There's been a lot of stuff coming out of my M. I'm actually gonna go with the player above him.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Rogers in this one, just to get that blocking body in the tight end room.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't taken it.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't taken a tight end.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: That plays it.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's when a factor into it as well, getting that blocker into the into the room.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Rogers is one of the better blockers in this class.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the best case scenario box draft, even though it kind of quickly turned into a worst case scenario.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: Nice players, a Kiwitley, Logan Taylor, guys who can be stars with the next couple years.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Black, contributor to Tyler on the Adam could be a developmental piece that can rotate on the even spine, a gadget type quarterback and then a blocking tight ed.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Who probably will very likely carve out a long career.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: because of his blocking ability.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's that blocking ability, it can translate pretty well.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we're gonna get this set up for the worst case scenario here.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure we have everything drafted and get it started.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: So even if some guys are there that we may not, we may think Denver's in, we're gonna say they're gone.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: So no Eli Stowers, no Washington, no Jacob Rodriguez if they're all the board.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna say no Jennings Dunker.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: Um, as well.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, Josiah Trotter will say he's gone.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_00]: No grace and halting.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I think no killing Rutledge, uh, I would be surprised to kill him, rather, lot of Rutledge is on the board at 62.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so no max clear, since we just took them as well.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we don't really need to eliminate for that.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: So without those guys lands, no Jennings dunker again, no Trotter, no halting, no Washington, no Rutledge.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: and no click as we drafted him who's that who's that worst case scenario pick that you kind of see here.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so go up to the very very top here.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think that Bryce Lance is one that would make like zero sense for the Broncos as much as I like him six foot three two hundred five pounds runs a four three six forty you have not quite the same player.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_04]: but a very similar player already on the roster and Troy Franklin, you added a guy like Jalen Wattel to play a very similar role there.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_04]: That would be a very worst case scenario here.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_04]: Zachariah Branch, the widers eater from Georgia, as well, if you're talking about a player like Marvin Mims, very twitchy, explosive, smaller widersaver,
- 28:02[SPEAKER_04]: You want to go the worst case scenario.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_04]: If the Broncos take a white receiver here, especially those two guys, as redundant as they are, it would also signal a, like, a potential trade option here, like you're moving on from Twitter, frankly, you're moving on from a Marvin Nins.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Is that the way you want to go with this or how do you want to like really shape this conversation, because that would be the worst case scenario to me.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Pass for a specialist that I don't think is even high quality of the past pressure.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just to kind of put it out there, he has a, let me, let me find a moment board because it, it is, it's low.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: He has a fifth round grade for me.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that the worst case scenario, I think he is a far worse version of Nick Benito, when Nick Benito came out.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't high on Nick Benito.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think I had it.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think I had them as a late third early fourth round great on them and they took them at 62.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_04]: There's 62, 63 something like that.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_04]: I think I think it was 63 if never was correct.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: It might have been 64.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_04]: In that particular area.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, it is just another play with that.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: Have they not extended Nick Benito?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: All right, like trying to bet on that.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of like I was talking earlier with Peter's question about, you know, using past things with it.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, having that success developing him, maybe they could see that trade again.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_00]: But you already move in Jonah Ellis, you already have that quick athletic past pressure developing in key Robinson.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_00]: Not an edge setter.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think Joshua Joseph is really the worst case scenario.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: And going back to Albert's question about the one that will not negatively knock my thoughts off, this would be one, this would be one.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this is probably the one.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, it's, it's a tough one.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: Now we get to go and drop it off through so Joshua Joseph there.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, can we just do, can we just do, do Alar?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, taking a quarter back in the fourth round, like, or is that a bit much?
- 30:11[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's, that's a bit much, but that would definitely be of the worst case scenario, who else is on the board is a scroll down for just a quick second to give me a look.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Alar is definitely up there.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: real quick to his worst case scenario trying to keep it realistic obviously not going to take guys uh... but say in worst case get a kick rest of you obviously we're not going to go that that far we're going to keep it somewhat real is it to get one away that's that's worst case you're out Michael trig at one away with all that's come out about him and is still continuing to come out about him with the offfield stuff
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: and basically being told to transfer out of all miss otherwise they're going to dismiss them from the team and all that led into that some of the you know having to have a handler at bailer did with the attitude and stuff that that's I think that's a rough one
- 30:56[SPEAKER_04]: But not only not only all that, but the redundancy with even though he's in the, I believe the last year of his deal, Evan Inrum, there's so much we're done and see with Michael trade, like what do you do with him, like how do you plug him into the offense, right?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, it's the last year of Evan Ingram, it's you're going to sit there and develop him if everything in the dirt, you have a guy to step in like that that's the mindset there for it.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_04]: But you're looking for a guy that can actually impact the offense right now, and he does, Michael Trigg doesn't do anything for you right now.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_04]: There's literally no reason for him to make the team in terms of what you have at the Titan room as it is.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think the way we should go is a guy that I think you and I both actually like.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's Kayla Proctor.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason why I'm saying that would be a worst case scenario.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: It isn't to deal with the player.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: It deals with Savion Jones.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because Kayla Proctor is Savion Jones.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_04]: I think a more juiced up version of Savion Jones, but you're absolutely correct.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, very similar style of players.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, run that, run that.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_04]: I just got done watching Kayla Proctor the other day and I love him as a player, just not for Denver, and especially not a little way.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: I love him.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's just not for Denver.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's just, again, talking about redundancy, you already have a guy in Savion Jones who has such an issue against the run and then you're adding Caleb Proctor who is basically a interior defensive line past for a specialist because he offers really nothing against the run.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: You have a little bit more upside with Jones.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: He plays with a little bit more power.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that would signal that would signal the end of a saviour on Jones in terms of being a rotational player on on the defensive line for you, essentially you're adding like more past rush upside than what saviour in Jones.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't say that it's just you're basically abandoning run defense from the position rotating and rotating to passages and hoping that you can cover it up for with some other way.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_00]: Here.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: is an interesting one, because there's not a lot of, you know, worst case scenario here that damfering go.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not going to throw out Drew Aller that that was kind of a joke.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's past.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: I will throw out Xavier Harris.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Xavier Harris has had a lot of off-field issues within last 18 months.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: And Riki size, like he's like six foot eight with ridiculously long arms,
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: did had like four blocked field goals in college, but worst case scenario for a team that has prioritized character and leadership traits.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: A pure nose tackle pretty much with some weight issues.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's been reports that he was playing up over 400 pounds during his time at Ole Miss.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: About 330, 340 pounds is where you want to keep them with all of the issues including some
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that is, again, worst case scenario for a team that has prioritized character and leadership.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_04]: I like the upside of the player.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_04]: I watched him the other day as well and like, there's the past race juice for sure.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_04]: I did the quick first step.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with you.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think CJ Daniels, the wide receiver out of Miami is another worst case scenario here because, again, how does he fit in this?
- 34:10[SPEAKER_04]: like how does he fit in this room?
- 34:14[SPEAKER_04]: He's not an explosive playmaker.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: He's not a guy that adds any true intangible to the to the wide receiver room.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like that, that to me, it doesn't make sense to add a player like that.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_04]: Like I can understand adding as A.V.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: and Harris, if you're betting on the past rush upside from the nose tackle position, would you kind of have with Malcolm Roach, but you don't get with DJ Jones.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_04]: So I can understand that, getting through the domestic violence
- 34:40[SPEAKER_04]: If you bet him into the room, it makes more sense in adding CJ Daniels to me.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so we won't take notes.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I do see the little bit of the upside with Harris, but again, my focus there was the off-field stuff for a team that prioritized the character and stuff.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: It would be so out of character for it.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_00]: And here, here's where I'm going to do the quarterback.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: I am going to lock in.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm going to take club like me up.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this was a realistic area for Denver to look at a quarter back to work on developing to be a backup, especially with the amount of interest that is in Jared's did him in trade.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, club Nick has a lot to work on.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: He kind of fits that that fits the mold kind of for backup quarterbacks that Sean played and looked for like I think that there's a lot of other ways that thing go, but you know backup quarterback at that point like.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, especially with club make because you're talking about size restrictions.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's a smaller quarterback.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_04]: He's not necessarily very the most accurate player.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_04]: He doesn't have the best arm like to have him there's athleticism.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, you could use the license like that, but it again, back up quarterback that early just doesn't make sense.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now here, I just want to throw this out here.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: Can we go with LeBron James the Sun?
- 35:56[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, sure.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: So coolest fact that I learned about this and part of two Dan Brugler with the B-Sport did not know this.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: See, you're right, the corner back out in Nebraska was a childhood actor who actually played the Braun James' son in Space Jam Legacy.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know that.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's a, that's a really fun fact.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't seen him so it's, it's fun.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you, he probably should have stuck with acting.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a corner and George Peyton loves corners.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: So there we go.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: But the more you know, he played the bronze James Assun in Space Jam Legacy, which was a terrible, terrible movie.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_00]: Have you seen it?
- 36:35[SPEAKER_04]: I have not.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_04]: No, don't.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_04]: I typically don't watch movies like it.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_04]: My wife and I are currently working through Game of Thrones for the first time.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_04]: So that's how far behind I am in terms of pop culture.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_04]: I typically watch sports and stick to that.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, it's a sports movie, all right?
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's basketball.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: So it's still qualifies.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now here, and I keep seeing Todd coming and jumping for players.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: Worst case scenario, Todd.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_04]: worst case and this this one makes sense though this one makes absolute sense.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_04]: You've already drafted a backup quarterback and you're taking a guy who yeah has quarterback skills.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's got the prototypical sizing traits for it.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_04]: He's just not a very good quarterback and this could be a Sean Peyton.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_04]: Here's your taste and hill buddy.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_04]: But you've got an athlete, a guy that moves really well with a football.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_04]: It makes sense to if you're going into worst case scenario here,
- 37:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm not I'm not I'm not taking another quarterback though like that that's just dumb.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: Here you can I say the worst case scenario for me would be a lander Barton bring back going to Barton flashbacks for me.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: The thing with tail and green to get serious for a second is he is a different type of athlete than the those weapon quarterback that's things look yeah.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he is a speed and legit legit.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like athlete he likes those bigger guys that are kind of more of that tight end will not
- 37:58[SPEAKER_04]: Um, it wouldn't surprise me going to tail and green just really quick and I'll let you get on Leonard Barton.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: It wouldn't surprise me if teams did actually say you need to play tight end.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_04]: Like there's always that conversation.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: Why does she know that's the topic?
- 38:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, why does she are okay?
- 38:13[SPEAKER_04]: Like it wouldn't surprise me if that's really the way that they deal with him.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I mean, Lander Barton, just with the fact that people are that there's like, he's not actually a linebacker, he's gonna be a tight end at the NFL level and having to make that position change on top of Denver loves their Utah players.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_00]: And making this a worst case scenario with the at-mind, not with tripping a meseline back up for this Morris case scenario mock, it's tripping him to be a tight end.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: After taking Caleb Loaner out of Utah, here we go.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, do that, do that, Lander Barton, 256.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: here and just just to get out tail and green.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: We'll just close it out with tail and green.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: There you go Todd.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: Happy birthday.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, just bright slants.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_00]: There you go, Lance.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's suggesting the guy that you thought was the worst case scenario.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, Biggie Green isn't not really type of quarterback Sean Payton's wanting, but that's kind of what I was getting at.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: But it's a worst case scenario.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, even though Sean Payton's offense, David's Web is a play called it.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he views Taylor and Green as his type of Gadgety quarterback there.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_04]: So this is how did this draft like great a B?
- 39:24[SPEAKER_04]: This is horrifying.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's because Proof of a focus fired everybody.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's true.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's very, they fired, they fired the guy that actually built the mock draft simulator and their big board.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_04]: So it makes sense.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_04]: And no idea what they're talking about anymore.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just with Joseph Caleb Proctor, C.J.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_00]: Daniels, Clay Cadecubnik, C.R.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: Wright, Linder Barton, Taylor and Greene.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: Position change, position change, position change, like, yeah, but this is the worst case scenario.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now we're going to fly try to fly through one really quickly and I'm going to turn up the positional value and less and I'm going to turn down draft for needs a little bit less as well to get a little bit more variety here.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: We will use the.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: Game Brue Glitter's B sport kind of to help direct our picks on this one.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_00]: Max A and you got two quarterbacks.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: One's not a quarterback.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Taylor and Green's not a not a quarterback.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_00]: He can insist that he's going to be a quarterback in the end of all he wants.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: But the position changes inevitable.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: And this is also going to why we know Taylor and Green when we get to a little bit more of the serious mocks.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: Taylor and Green's going to have a part of the conversation.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_00]: And doesn't matter, he can say he doesn't want to all he wants.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: He has to prove it as a quarterback if he doesn't want to change positions.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_00]: So going on, I have the broodler mock up.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, Jennings Dunker is probably going to be the guy here.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know, let me see, where is he on-day and broodler's board?
- 40:59[SPEAKER_00]: He is,
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: It has an early third wrong grade, but it's just out of this, the second third, a lot higher than Bryce Lance higher than Caleb Purnan, I believe.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Purnan is actually higher on his board Dominic Orange is even higher than that Killing Rutledge.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe with this one with Killing Rutledge here going off of Brugal is board.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think Rutledge is the highest player left available.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do another quick look again.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: actually know the highest player left available is Anthony Hill.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: So, Anthony Hill it is.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's player available.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: According to Brugler's, Brugler's board.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, he ended up just to be clear, Brugler, Dan Brugler has him as a second third round player.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's in a mix with a bunch of other linebackers.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: and about five spots ahead of that as Jacob Rodriguez.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a bump there.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_04]: So it's really interesting that so with Hill on the board there.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_04]: And I really like him.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's some fluidity.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_04]: He's solid and covers decent downhill run defender.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_04]: But to me,
- 42:16[SPEAKER_04]: given the need of the Broncos.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_04]: It makes a lot of sense there.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_04]: But I look at Jennings Dunker.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_04]: I look at a guy like Keaton Rutledge to pair alongside just to add some more girth into the offensive line with Ben Powers on the last year his deal.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_04]: You pair a guy like Keaton Rutledge with Quinn Miners in the inside zone and duo.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_04]: That makes so much sense to me.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_04]: Man, that would have been really fun.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_00]: Now, look him through this.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: I did change the settings on this, right?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: I, yeah, you did like this is pretty much the same.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: The only difference.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, true, I was there on the last one.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's been pretty much the same.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, getting going through, does anybody, first of all, does anybody stick out to you?
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'll kind of look and see where they're kind of.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_04]: So slow down here.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_04]: Um, bud Clark is one that we kind of talked about a little bit that makes a lot of sense.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_04]: It, we didn't take him in the last spot.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: That is a third round grade for
- 43:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like that would be, that is cool.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_04]: That would be the direction that I would lean in, especially, especially with the safety fall off here, like the second, third, fourth round, it makes a lot of sense to go with the guy like Bud Clark who fits a lot of what you want in terms of taking the football away.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_04]: The Broncos didn't do a very good job at that this last season, so 14 career interceptions at TCU, like that's a guy I have my eyes on, doesn't fit the size prototypes for the Broncos, but work around that with the player that skills it.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: The pick, even though we use them, if we hadn't dropped in already, Tyler on the Adam would need to be the player.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, because Tyler on the Adam says, like, he's a third round grade and we, but we already drafted them, so we're trying to not repeat players here.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_00]: But is there, now is there anybody that stands out for you on this board?
- 44:06[SPEAKER_00]: Couple that do with me, and I think they're kind of in this range, if not third round grades on Brugler's board, but anybody for you.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_04]: So we've already taken Proctor, and I know that he has Proctor rated really highly Brennan Thompson is another player that I believe he's at like 93 on Dane Brew, really big board, but that's a redundancy here that with Marvin Mims.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_04]: If you're really looking for like a true deep threat, Brennan Thompson makes a lot of sense.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_04]: Billy Schrauth, the Garth from Notre Dame, speaking of another,
- 44:34[SPEAKER_04]: Just a tough, tough nose player, a leader in the locker room, Schrauth is another guy that I kind of have my eyes on here.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know where he's at on Dames board, but that makes some sense.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_04]: Talking about Keylon Rutledge and Jennings Dunker before.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of looking to see if somebody's available, I'm probably going to lock in Brendan Thompson, just because of where he's at on Berglis board.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: And at this point, again, going off a Berglis board, kind of what makes sense here, he does make sense because of Marvin Mims's contract situation.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: And they're being increasing trade rumors of the Broncos looking at moving receivers and corners and Mims being a very popular name with those trade talks about the potential value you can bring.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Brendan Thompson.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a track athlete trying to play football,
- 45:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's so small, man.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_04]: Gosh, he's so small.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Todd, I've openly spoken about how I like blood clark.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you're talking about there, bud.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, get it, bud, bud clark.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_04]: Come on, Chief, calm down.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right, now we've got to go to 170 170.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be a little bit tougher to try to stay with the board because a lot, you know, a lot of variables here.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: But anybody here that kind of sends out as I'll kind of somewhat slowly scroll through the board.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_04]: Where does he have Caleb Elam's or on his board?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_04]: That's, that's to me where you got to go here.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't add a line back, we're all ready.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: And we didn't, we had an Anthony Hill.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, that's right, that's right.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to keep this all that one.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to think of, see if there's anybody else that kind of stands out here.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: Vision's price stock is interesting.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think that, if I remember right, he is, yeah, he's a fourth, fifth round grade.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: He is a long boundary corner.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so that could be the one to, to kind of go with the again, we talked about the trade stuff potentially with Marvin Mims, Riley Moss as a candidate as well.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: Much to a lot of people's this may about my the conversation I had with Carl and Tuesday night, but there has been a lot about Riley Moss being on the trade market.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, the idea would be as it is a barren stepping in on the boundary where they've been very outspokenly supportive of him and then getting a guy who can come in and step in if barren can't handle it.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: Also, depending on how they view Chris Aventrine, so I think price lock would be this kind of the guy that we got we go here.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, let's go.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go price lock here.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_04]: It makes it makes sense and also given the fact that George Peyton has always spoken about how hard it is to find cornerbacks at the NFL level.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_04]: I think with what Washington does defensively in terms of playing some off his own, he fits a lot with what the switch-up between cover three cover one, they're some press and stuff.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_04]: And there he's got the legs, he's got the strength.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Christophe makes a lot of sense here to me to just kind of bolstering that room.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's very similar player to Chris Abram's reign as well by the way.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: And he is the guy that we haven't taken before.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: Max Bredison is also kind of that full-back Titan hybrid and with the Adkins issue staying healthy this last season.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they can look at upgrading there.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: We're obviously not going to get through all five.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of took a little while on that dream scenario.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_00]: So with this one, which way do you want to go?
- 48:35[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to go with Husky or Bredison?
- 48:38[SPEAKER_04]: Go Max Bredison here.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think to move on from a guy like Nate Adkins,
- 48:44[SPEAKER_04]: They brought him back to it like him, but similar style of players.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_04]: I think that you can get away with that here.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm pretty sure, he can trust, has a fifth round grade from Brugler.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to lock in trust.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guard tackle, developmental guy.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's where we lock in here.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: And we are, I'm sorry, I'm trying to rush it through a little bit because we only have about nine minutes left before we got to get out of here.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then, I mean, a quarterback would be it.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think at this point, um, I'm not sure where else there's not another name that stands out.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: And at this point, it would be really tough.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he actually has, has like a fifth on tip trianum.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_04]: If I remember correctly.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, he's a seventh to undraft the free agent, my apologies on that.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: See, also it's a bit tough.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's taking time to go back and forth a little bit.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_04]: How about run the guards really fast?
- 49:57[SPEAKER_04]: So we haven't taken, so we took trust here.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_04]: How about Caden Barnett, the offensive guard from Wyoming is he still on the board?
- 50:07[SPEAKER_04]: At this particular point, or is he gone?
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: Does he even in the simulator?
- 50:12[SPEAKER_00]: There he is.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: There.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: We'll take it.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_00]: We'll lock him in.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: So there we go.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's our Dane Brugler version mock draft.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_00]: We did want to get through one using the consensus board.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: But obviously time isn't going to allow it.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: We were going to use one of these in my board.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: That obviously we're not going to allow it here.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: Shall I say, and we're going to need some boreculture in our lives here soon.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely hope so he is another one.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: I wrote up my discovery report on today and and I, you know, really forget how much I like the guy have you seen any boreculture.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I love him.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_04]: I love him so much.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's so much more like receive a website.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_04]: I think I talked about this a couple of weeks ago.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_04]: Dominant as a run blocker.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_04]: Like he might be the best run blocking Titan in this class.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_04]: Like seriously, this dude is an ass kicker up front.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_04]: You can you can move him across the formation and insert him in wham blocks.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_04]: You can just line up as a white Titan.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_04]: Very athletic, very smooth as a route runner.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_04]: They don't ask you a lot out of the Texas A&M offense in terms of the wide receiver position.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_04]: But again, you got guys like Levy on Moss.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_04]: You've got Casey Concepts alone.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_04]: There's another receiver that is in this class that they like a lot as well.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_04]: So,
- 51:28[SPEAKER_04]: just with what they ask at the tight end position, he never really got a true opportunity, but you can see the flashes man like this, he's got athleticism, he's got length, he's got prototypical size, he has everything that you want, just not production, and it's a shame.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_04]: Put him in an offense, put him in Alabama's offense, where they actually do kind of utilize the
- 51:52[SPEAKER_04]: Ohio State you put him at Ohio State he might be a top 50 pick like quite honestly he would be a of much better version of what they want a national player to be What's another offense that utilizes a tight end not Baylor because Baylor does that weird spread stuff Clemson would be a decent option for him Like you put him in an offense that actually utilizes a tight end
- 52:13[SPEAKER_04]: He's like, I firmly believe that a lot of the reasons why he's like a late around Titan is because of a lack of production and a lack of it's not that he can't do it.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_04]: He just haven't seen it yet.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_04]: And that's, you've got to work yourself through that when you're evaluating these prospects.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_04]: I think he can be a very good receiving option, even better than like a Sam Raoish or like an Eli Raiden like he's, I think he's better than both of those players.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know, do you know his backstory a little bit?
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't touched on the beast enough to find it out.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: He was a, if I recall, a zero star recruit, okay?
- 52:54[SPEAKER_00]: Who had very few offers.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: He jumped at a chance to be a preferred walk on at Nebraska.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: And worked his butt off, and I believe he became a contributor as a freshman on special teams.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was there and he was both his brother.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was, I believe it was put that Nebraska was his dream school.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then he transferred out this last year to go to Texas A&M and be a part of that.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_00]: He still carries that chip on a shoulder of being having to have been a walk on, of being a zero star recruit.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_00]: And one thing that we hear coaches talk about every single year that doesn't get talked about enough.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: They do look at what kind of saw recruit you were going into college and they, I mean, it's not just that specifically, but it's what you do after that point.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: Do you kind of are you a five star recruit crew force or recruit that kind of slags off and takes it easy doesn't continue to grind do you continue to grind where you a one star two stars zero star recruit and then fought tooth and nail and worked your butt off to get where you're at.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_00]: They they look at that stuff and so boreculture he stands out because of that because you can see it with the way he plays on there as well.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now we do have a final few minutes with you guys have any questions in here.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_04]: I got one I got one here from Glenn I actually earlier in the show if we don't get a safety early what are your thoughts on Michael Taffey the safety out of Texas at 170 Eric.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be a little laughy about it.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on a roll tonight.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you're doing good, dude, you're doing good.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what you do with him.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_00]: I like him.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_00]: I like him as a player, but defensively, I don't know what you do with him.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: We often hear a lot about versatility and that's a positivity positive thing because the more you can do the better it is, right?
- 54:53[SPEAKER_00]: But there are times it's a negative.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: And in the case of toffee, it is
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: great at anything.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like that jack of all trades kind of argument, master of none, but it's like, it's just decent all of it.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: He is a depth safety that's going to contribute on special teams.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously it's a projection.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: He can obviously exceed expectations, but he doesn't have those trades that you can bet on
- 55:34[SPEAKER_04]: So he's got size and he's got athleticism.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_04]: He tested really, really well at the combine.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_04]: And when he was out there on the, in the on field drills, it looked like he showed the fluidity that you wanted.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's just, I agree with you.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like what do you do with him?
- 55:48[SPEAKER_04]: Like he's not strong enough to play box safety.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_04]: He's got to range to play free safety, but he doesn't have to ball skills to do it.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_04]: He's solidized a tackler, but he doesn't take on blocks really well.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's just one of those guys
- 56:03[SPEAKER_04]: where do you play him in a defense like what exactly is his role going to be and I agree with you a hundred percent like it's so hard to project a player like that especially given the complexities of what the Broncos like to do and you already have a player that kind of fits that skill set more or less but also is a better player in Talonillo, who fonga like that's
- 56:25[SPEAKER_04]: kind of what I would do with them.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_04]: Put it the same time as you really that kind of a player.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's weird.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_04]: It's weird with Michael toffee and I like him.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_04]: 170 might be a little rich for me.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_04]: been on the upside, but I don't know dude, he's so, he's one of those players, it's like, I don't know exactly what to do with him, so I don't know exactly where to place him in this class, even though it's a weird class all the way around.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he ended up with a, let me see here a fifth round grade for me.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's very instinctive.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that he is an immediate contributor on special teams, especially as a gunner that he can write out and that football IQ would stay or so that what leads him to be a quality depth piece.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_00]: But he's not really made for the nickel.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's not really a single high.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have the range for that or the F let us import.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have the size to work in the box to be a box safety or an extended outline back or kind of player.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he, the instincts are fine for a two high safety, but Denver doesn't run a lot of two high stuff.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: Really, it's a lot of that cover three cover one
- 57:47[SPEAKER_00]: Is he really, does he have it as a robber?
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: I like the player, and there's been nothing but praise for him as a football character.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_00]: But I just not sure what to do with him.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a depth, special teams pick, which, hey, fifth round, that's what you can kind of do.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_00]: Fifth round is, you know, special teams.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_00]: You take guys for that.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_04]: Well, if you're looking to move on from a guy like Jail Skinner, too, I mean, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
- 58:16[SPEAKER_00]: You play him in the box.
- 58:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you play him in the box or you throw him on special teams and Jail Skinner, I believe he's in the last year of his deal too, so that, again, here we go with with the safety need.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, before we get out of here, Lance, Carl and I, we spent Tuesday night talking about Broncos on the hot seat for potential trades.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to ask you to name any players.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_00]: Just one simple question here, yes or no, do you think the Broncos trade a player sometime during the draft?
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: during the draft between now and the end of the draft.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think they trade a player for picks?
- 58:54[SPEAKER_04]: Can I give the qualifier that we always do is it depends on how the board falls because it's depending on how the board falls.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: This is trading a player for picks.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't think they do, but if I had to give you any candidate, it would be Riley Moss, depending on how the board fell.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll see a player traded trade for pigs at some point.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think it matters how the board is going to fall.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_04]: So, so give me your top three candidates, Riley Moss is one.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_04]: I know that you wrote a mock draft the other day trading Riley Moscow check it out.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: I get depending on how the poor falls.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_04]: And even then with John A. Baron, I don't think that it necessarily matters.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_04]: Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims would either choose the others that I would think of right off the bad.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_04]: What do you think?
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's, I think there's four in it's a either or.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_00]: Mossman Bill and Mims Franklin.
- 59:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's both.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that tracks.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it's an interesting case, and it's your discussion is going to be interesting to see.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_00]: I expect at least two of those four to be moved sometime before the season starts, one of them here in the draft.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the other question is, OK, you think they trade picks for a player.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_04]: I could see, I could see, honestly, I could see a McMillan in a seven for a six round pick.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, not, not, not player, not player or included.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_00]: Dispaired picks from Denver for a player.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely, I can't.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_04]: I can absolutely see them pairing those two fourth round picks or the fourth in a seven to try to move up into the tail end of the third round if somebody falls that they really like.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, I can't.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: trading picks for a veteran player for a veteran last night, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, wasn't saying trading up or trading down.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_00]: It was trading picks for a player.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_04]: Man, that's hard.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, maybe, and again, it would be like a four and a seven because you have three seven throne picks and two fours, uh, if they wanted to find a tight end, that's available.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: What was the John Flink and Myers trade?
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was a six jump pick for John for it's like a six for like a six and a seven.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_00]: There's not like that.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what I.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what I think happens.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm that one I must sure on.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_00]: I do think a player does get moved from Denver during the draft.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I have a question for you.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_04]: Chad actually put out on the mile-high-huttle Twitter account earlier today.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_04]: If all three of Jderian Price, Mike Washington and Jonah Coleman are available for the Broncos at number 62 overall.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_04]: And you're pinned into picking a running back here.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_04]: Which one would you take?
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_00]: It wouldn't be Jderian Price.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_00]: I can tell you that.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_00]: It would be Washington.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_04]: It would be Washington for me, but my answer was, I'm not taking any of the three.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trading back if I had to, because if all three are available, let me, and I'm only taking it running back with the first take, like play the rules of the game here.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_04]: I'm only taking it running back with the first take.
- 1:02:17[SPEAKER_04]: I would trade back and hope Washington balls to me.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know there's a lot of people that are flipping out that there's an overreaction to this combine he was viewed as a third round grade by many prior to the combine and then showing that explosive speed it just kind of nudged him up into that top 70 talk so late seven or late second early third.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, kind of value compared to a mid third late third kind of where he was, and that was a big thing for him.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of questions about the burst and it's not the 40 our dash that is what's so great for him.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's the explosives in general, the jumps and the 10 yards split that is kind of what it was.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: why he's there, improved the ball security this last year.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_00]: Significantly, he, I mean, his career, it's like one every like 57, a fumble every 57 touches or something like that.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_00]: And this last year was like every 90.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_00]: So it's definitely shows that his previous time was it need, you know, one year real full time starter was definitely an issue as well.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so it's, uh, it's interesting.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, conversation was interesting.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_00]: We had Michael saying, I'll keep to leave hinted at that like at that Lance and Eric.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah, he came out and made a comment about Denver.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think trading a player for picks.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that he kind of kind of how he expects it.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: If I remember correctly, I saw it in passing and it was too late to change our topic of the show at that point.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I haven't seen that yet.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was an interesting conversation.
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_00]: Um, my thing before we get out
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_00]: would you, or how do I put this?
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, I can't remember how I was going to put it.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of, it's my brain now.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_00]: I've basically been up since 330 in the morning.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_00]: So shame.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: And Joseph, the people that want to get rid of Moss are nuts.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that they want anybody wants to get rid of him.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's not what's being said.
- 1:04:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's just not the conversation at all.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, kind of step on this really quick because I agree with you 100%, it's not that I want to get rid of Riley Moss, like getting rid of Riley Moss is not the not the answer here, guys, it's it's understanding the value of the player that you have and also understanding the room that you have in tow behind him.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_04]: You just took a player in Jada Barron who you view as a outside boundary corner or a nickel defender that you can play inside or outside.
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_04]: He also has some safety versatility.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_04]: You spent another fifth round pick I believe it is on Chris Abram's reign a couple of years ago and every time that he has had a step on the football field, he's showing the ability that he can actually stand up and hold
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_04]: and be a quality player for you.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_04]: It's understanding the value of the player that you have right now when a guy like Riley Moss understanding that he's in the last year of his rookie contract right now, so you're going to have to pay him and knowing that you have players behind him that you can already like step in.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_04]: and know that he can replace that kind of a player.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_04]: You have to capitalize, especially given where this Broncos team is currently on trying to not only maximize the players that you have already on the roster, but figure out a way to continue to develop that roster and continue to make it be as deep as it currently is.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want the Broncos to trade Riley Moss, but it would not surprise me to see them do that based on how this roster is currently constructed and based on the value that he's proven
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_04]: And also the fact that you can't pay him, it's a multifaceted conversation here and you guys have to understand that when we talk about this kind of a situation.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_04]: Again, it's a pin cushion.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_04]: There's multiple different angles that you can stick these pins into try to guide yourself in this conversation and that's why we bring this up.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's you can't pay everybody.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's in the last year of his deal and he's probably looking at 20 plus million on average for your basis.
- 1:06:05[UNKNOWN]: Yep.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_00]: can't can't can't Denver do that.
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean we we talk about the rich owners too, but we need to also factor in the fact that why didn't part of the owner's trip ownership group now owns the is partial owners of the Rockies with Greg Penner and his wife going and being by what 40%
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, 40% today.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, 40% today.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_00]: Who in that?
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_00]: So that plays the factor and on top of the fact is that they're playing paying for the new stadium, which is a lot of money.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_04]: And they can't think of the seller cap here.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_04]: Bo Nix is going into your three after this year.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_04]: He's eligible for an extension.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_04]: everybody.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there will be two more years before that hits, but it's still something that they have to factor in, and especially with the fact that with contracts, all that money has to go into escrow.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, and as soon as they pick up that option, that money now goes into escrow.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_00]: And last thing, can we stop saying people who don't agree with our opinions or thank differently than we are, not or anything like that?
- 1:07:03[SPEAKER_00]: I, I thought that was done in like middle school.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_00]: But anyways, let's kind of do it for us.

- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_00]: around, it's around that.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, and Joseph, if you're seeing fans call them a bum, I haven't seen it.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_00]: That is, that that's uncalled for like, it's one thing to say that a player's not playing playing poorly, but I mean, Adam Trotman isn't great, but everybody kind of knows it, but a guy at Bradley Moss, he's a good, he's a good player.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_00]: Conno about is a bit thing, but still not a thing of, you know, you need to call people nuts for it.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um,
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_00]: But last, before we get out and hear out of here, any last words.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to repeat the, the same sentiment that I started off the show with saying that can we please just fast forward two weeks, like I'm I'm so excited for the draft is not I have so much stuff that I still have to do I am so far behind.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, listen, I hate to say it, but not all my contents going to get published because it's just not enough time I have like 20 scouting reports sitting in it and I have like another 50 that I'm working on that not all.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I wish I could have helped you out a little bit more this year.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_04]: Quite honestly, I should have tried to answer that a little bit more.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_04]: I know, I'm terrible at this.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_04]: I suck, I'm a horrible analyst, and we all know it.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_04]: You all hate to watch me not just kidding, for real though, like thank you all again for joining us.
- 1:10:47[SPEAKER_04]: It's always great to be able to sit and do these mock graphs and have these conversations and talk about a whole bunch of different players.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_04]: I hope that we got more names to you guys this week specifically because
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_04]: everyone talks about the same names over and over and over again and to provide these different scenarios, it's always so much fun.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_04]: That's why these mock drafts are needed, it's whether necessary, it's always not only content, but it's fun to just bring up players and bring up fits and bring up why these players make sense for the Broncos, why they don't.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_04]: So
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_04]: This show again goes into what Doug Valley Divers was actually meant to be like let's deep dive into these situations.
- 1:11:25[SPEAKER_04]: So thank you all again for joining us on a great Friday evening.

- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_04]: Go Broncos.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Biggie, I have no idea what you're on about and Michael, thank you for saying that we appreciate you.
