- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi. It's Adam here, and in this
- 0:42episode of The Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a
- 0:46hypnosis session that utilizes certain elements of quantum
- 0:52physics and principles of the 4th dimension.
- 0:55And it's a topic that I actually talk quite a bit about some of
- 1:00the hypnosis conventions and conferences because I feel like
- 1:04it's an excellent metaphor to do things that you can do in
- 1:08hypnosis that you clearly can't do in reality.
- 1:12In reality, you can't travel forwards and backwards in time,
- 1:18but you certainly can do that in your imagination.
- 1:20A memory is going back into the past, and even a worry or a
- 1:24sense of excitement quite often is because you're thinking about
- 1:28a future that hasn't happened yet.
- 1:31And I was working with a client that was in the process of
- 1:35selling their business. And they'd had several offers,
- 1:39but the offers were lower than they ideally wanted.
- 1:42And they'd clearly worked very hard to build their business.
- 1:47And therefore they were conflicted because part of them
- 1:52really did want to exit the business and, and kind of steer
- 1:55their life towards perhaps an early retirement.
- 1:59But equally, there was an element of feeling that it was
- 2:03being priced too low. And what this does is it takes
- 2:07the thought experiment called Schrodinger's cat.
- 2:11And the thought experiment of Schrodinger's cat is this idea
- 2:15that you've got this sealed chamber.
- 2:18People think it's the thought experiment.
- 2:20It's like a little cardboard box.
- 2:21It's not. It's like a sealed gas chamber.
- 2:24And inside the the gas chamber is this very volatile gas that
- 2:31if the cat was to knock that, then it would release the gas
- 2:36and then kill the cat. But there's no way of knowing
- 2:39because there's no senses. There's no way of knowing if the
- 2:42cat has done that or not. And therefore, before you open
- 2:46this chamber or the the box, the cat is both alive and dead
- 2:52simultaneously, which is counterintuitive because it
- 2:56either is or it isn't. But you don't know that until
- 3:01you actually open the box. So until the box is opened, all
- 3:04possibilities remain. And it's a great thought
- 3:08experiment to highlight this idea that in the quantum realm,
- 3:15if you want to call it that, there's certain things that all
- 3:19possibilities exist until they are observed.
- 3:23And Schrodinger's cat is obviously, you know, a, a
- 3:27metaphor for quite complicated science, but it has this element
- 3:32that the observer can have an impact on the outcome, if that
- 3:37makes sense. So what I've actually done for
- 3:40this client is that they were considering 3 broad strategies
- 3:44when it came to selling their business, accepting one of the
- 3:47offers even though it was lower than they wanted, negotiating to
- 3:51see if they can get it to a place where they'd be happy with
- 3:55it. So a much more improved offer or
- 3:57on terms that they were OK with. And then the third is walking
- 4:03away and then perhaps selling it at some point in the future,
- 4:05perhaps at a much better price because they've got more time to
- 4:08grow the business even more. So it uses this idea of
- 4:12Schrodinger's box to explore the pros and cons of each of those
- 4:18choices, but through the lens of all realities coexist.
- 4:24And there's a couple of things. One is this idea of
- 4:28Schrodinger's box of being. All possibilities exist until
- 4:33the decision is made. But you've also got this idea of
- 4:35the multiverse, which is this theory that every single
- 4:40possible iteration of every single decision exists, so there
- 4:45are infinite versions of you. So if you think of major life
- 4:49decisions, then there is a an iteration of you that did make
- 4:54that decision and didn't make that decision.
- 4:56And every decision you've made since then exists.
- 4:59That's the idea of the multiverse.
- 5:01More recently, you know, kind of that's found its way into, let's
- 5:06say, popular psychology through the Marvel Universe and some of
- 5:10the Doctor Strange movies. But it's a great concept because
- 5:14what it does is it enables you to take all the theory out of it
- 5:18and just say, well, if it did happen, what would that future
- 5:21probably look like as an observer?
- 5:25And most people explore the future from a first person
- 5:27perspective. So you sometimes get very heavy
- 5:31emotions connected to that and you lack the clarity that you
- 5:34get from being an observer rather than someone experiencing
- 5:38an anxiety. Quite often it's people
- 5:41teleporting to a future event that hasn't happened yet, but
- 5:44acting as if it's happening in the present.
- 5:47It's that anticipation elements. There's a bit going on in this
- 5:51session, but I love talking and and thinking about some of these
- 5:56kind of quantum and 4th dimensional elements because you
- 6:01can play with these things in hypnosis and you totally can't
- 6:05play with them in reality. You don't get to test drives
- 6:10multiple decisions simultaneously.
- 6:12In reality, you either make the decision or you don't.
- 6:15It's kind of what decisiveness is, but this is designed to help
- 6:19get to a place of intuitive insights so that when the
- 6:22decision is made, it feels like the right decision for the
- 6:26client I was working with. Also, if you're listening to
- 6:29this and you are fascinated by these things about the fourth
- 6:33dimension and, and quantum, let's say theory fused into how
- 6:40the the mind works. I'm actually talking about this
- 6:44at the Irish Hypnotherapy conference in a few weeks time.
- 6:47It's in the first few days of April in Dublin.
- 6:53If you go to Irish Hypnotherapy conference dot IE, you can check
- 6:58that out and if you use the code Adam, you will get a discount on
- 7:02the tickets. So if you've never been to
- 7:04Dublin before and you want to learn a lot about hypnosis in a
- 7:08very short period of time, there'll be me and many other
- 7:11speakers talking on different topics there, so it'd be great
- 7:14to see you there. In the meantime though, if this
- 7:17session feels like it's interesting for you, find a
- 7:20quiet, comfortable place where you won't be disturbed, Relax
- 7:24and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 7:59breathe in, breathe in a feeling of calm relaxation, and as you
- 8:08exhale slowly, allow your eyes to close or to relax, feeling
- 8:15your eyelids getting heavier and heavier.
- 8:22Position your body in a way where you can feel settled,
- 8:26comfortable. As you breathe in and breathe
- 8:31out, allow yourself to begin drifting into a deep state of
- 8:37pure relaxation. Notice your breathing and allow
- 8:46yourself to breathe in deeper than before and and exhale for
- 8:54longer, each breath slightly deeper than the last.
- 9:04But as you breathe in, imagine breathing in a feeling of
- 9:11clarity, a sense of objectivity. Breathe in that feeling of
- 9:19clarity and just allow any doubts or confusion to feel like
- 9:28it's leaving your body in that outward breath.
- 9:35As you breathe in that clarity, scan your body for any clues of
- 9:41tension or stress. And sometimes it's in obvious
- 9:47places like your forehead, jaw, neck, or shoulders, but
- 9:56sometimes it's in an arm, a leg, or somewhere in the chest.
- 10:04But as you breathe in that relaxation and clarity, feel any
- 10:10tension melting away, and imagine that tension leaving
- 10:16your body in that outward breath as you exhale, as you breathe in
- 10:27and breathe out. I'd like you to imagine a
- 10:33magnificent staircase, perhaps made of mahogany or marble or
- 10:40maybe something else. And imagine yourself at the top
- 10:46of that staircase, looking down, getting a sense that there is
- 10:52something interesting, unusual, perhaps a strange looking box
- 10:58there at the bottom of the staircase.
- 11:05Very soon I will countdown from 12:50 and you will imagine
- 11:09walking down the staircase. With each step down the
- 11:15staircase, you will allow your body to relax even deeper.
- 11:24So imagine being at the very top of that staircase, looking down,
- 11:30perhaps even seeing that mysterious box somewhere on that
- 11:36lower level. As you breathe in and breathe
- 11:42out, I will count downwards, each number giving you the
- 11:50ability to take another step down the staircase. 10 Feeling a
- 11:58wave of relaxation wash over you, melting away any remaining
- 12:04tension. Nine.
- 12:09Your breathing slows, steady and deep. 8A.
- 12:17Warm, gentle heaviness spreads through your body as you
- 12:22continue down the staircase. 7 Drifting, perhaps even floating,
- 12:30letting go. Six.
- 12:34Your mind opens like a door into new possibilities. 5 Halfway
- 12:42down the staircase now, as you feel yourself softly descending
- 12:49into a calm, weightless space. 4 the boundaries between past,
- 13:01present and future begin to dissolve.
- 13:07Three, as if time itself bends, stretching beyond the limits of
- 13:15what you once knew. Getting towards the end of this
- 13:20staircase, 2 Almost there, stepping through, and 1
- 13:28completely relaxed, deeply at ease.
- 13:34Allow your consciousness to open to new dimensions of thought and
- 13:41clarity. And perhaps there is a hallway,
- 13:51corridor, or just an open space at the bottom of this staircase.
- 14:01A vast Chamber of time, space and infinite potential.
- 14:07Consider this like a limbo. A place beyond the known
- 14:12dimensions. A place where past, present and
- 14:16future exist all at once. A place where choices are made
- 14:24and unmade in the same breath. A place where all versions of
- 14:31you exist, observing, learning and waiting.
- 14:42And up ahead you can see then mysterious box.
- 14:49Approach the box, and that box represents a thought experiment
- 14:57unfolding before you. Just like Schrodinger's cat,
- 15:06inside this box exists every iteration, every possible
- 15:13outcome of a major life decision.
- 15:18Until the box is opened, until observed, all paths remain open,
- 15:25undetermined, waiting for you to peer inside and bring them to
- 15:32life. Keep the box closed and just
- 15:38imagine you now exist in the closed box, able to experience
- 15:46or observe all the possible connotations, iterations, and
- 15:52possibilities. But to narrow these
- 15:57possibilities down from the infinite, I want you to imagine.
- 16:04Inside the box has four walls, and on three of those walls are
- 16:10three shimmering doorways, each representing one of three
- 16:17possible choices. See what the doors look like.
- 16:25Try and figure out why they're shimmering.
- 16:28Shimmering from light or particles or something else.
- 16:36The first doorway represents the choice to sell your business
- 16:42now, but in doing so accepting a lower price than you wanted.
- 16:52Imagine walking through the door, allowing time to shift and
- 16:59find yourself in the near future.
- 17:04That could be several months or maybe a year or two.
- 17:11You are the observer. I want you to see the natural
- 17:18timeline of your life with that choice.
- 17:27Perhaps feel like you're going to a different world where that
- 17:31decision has already been made and you're just seeing what life
- 17:36is like for you with that ripple through the space-time
- 17:43continuum. What has changed?
- 17:47Notice the details. What are the advantages?
- 17:55Maybe see yourself with more time.
- 18:02Observe what you do with the additional resources of money.
- 18:07Perhaps less stress, more balance, but also allow yourself
- 18:16to visit a future where that was an undesirable choice.
- 18:22Maybe you see a version of you with frustrations, regrets, or
- 18:27resentment. Allow yourself to observe the
- 18:33good and the bad, the positive and the undesirable.
- 18:40Perhaps as two different realities, explore the version
- 18:46of you where that choice to sell, even at a lower price, was
- 18:52the best decision you could ever make.
- 18:56But then also observe what would have to happen for to feel like
- 19:02a mistake, a regret? Time stretches further.
- 19:13What are the undesirable consequences of that earlier
- 19:17decision? Did you sell yourself short?
- 19:27Observe if there feels like a missed opportunity.
- 19:34Is it more about regret or liberation?
- 19:38You're simply the observer, so take a moment to absorb
- 19:43everything, the best and the worst that this choice may
- 19:49bring. As this scene dissolves.
- 19:53Feel like you're walking backwards through the original
- 19:57door and now seeing another shimmering door.
- 20:03On a different wall, knowing that this is just one internal
- 20:10side of the box that you currently exist in this new
- 20:16doorway. The second door is the path of
- 20:21negotiation. In this outcome, that version of
- 20:31you secured a fair and acceptable price before selling.
- 20:38Maybe the terms were changed, maybe they increased their
- 20:44offer, maybe someone else also took an interest.
- 20:52I want you to get a sense. Then you're just observing.
- 20:59And as you observe that reality, what do you see?
- 21:09See yourself with all of the resources necessary to negotiate
- 21:14the fairest and best terms, securing an outcome that is good
- 21:19for you but also good for those that matter most to you, perhaps
- 21:27partners or family. I want you to get a sense that
- 21:33see what would need to happen for this outcome to be
- 21:38desirable, but also what could happen in this decision to make
- 21:46it undesirable. I want you to get a sense that
- 21:54rarely is anything black and white, it's always Shades of
- 22:00Grey. And if securing a higher price
- 22:05meant a bigger time commitment, you can observe if that makes it
- 22:11more or less desirable for you. And we need to get a sense that
- 22:19each decision comes with a potential benefit, but either
- 22:27increasing or reducing risk depending on the choice.
- 22:35But observe your facial expressions in this future.
- 22:39Do you see yourself with a sense of achievement, feeling of
- 22:44peace, knowing that you held your ground, Maybe you did
- 22:50secure a higher price? And what new opportunities arise
- 22:54from that decision? But then also see the
- 23:01challenges. Did the brinkmanship lead to
- 23:07more stress, more fees? Did any unexpected factors arise
- 23:21and then go off into that future?
- 23:26Maybe the terms that you negotiated take you to a better
- 23:31future, or perhaps certain terms with performance related
- 23:39accelerators and acknowledgments somehow make things worse.
- 23:47Explore all the possibilities and get a sense that you're just
- 23:54observing, allowing your intuition to give you more
- 24:00insight. And with any new information,
- 24:04allow these variables to ripple through time and show you the
- 24:10good and the bad. Absorb these insights, knowing
- 24:18that this path might seem like the obvious solution, in the
- 24:26same way that a cloud has a silver lining.
- 24:30Sometimes all that glitters is not gold.
- 24:38It's time to leave this choice. Go back in reverse, through that
- 24:45door. Still in Schrodinger's box, but
- 24:52see the third door. The third door is the path where
- 25:01you walk away. You don't sell at this moment.
- 25:07So step through that door and see yourself in a desirable
- 25:12future where this was the most beneficial thing to do, giving
- 25:19you more time to build your business, make it more
- 25:23profitable, securing a higher valuation in this future.
- 25:29Perhaps you have to give maybe two or three more years, but in
- 25:36doing so, you create a legacy that is good for you and good
- 25:42for your family. I want you to get a sense that
- 25:51it wasn't without its risks. Maybe there were consultancy
- 25:56fees that had to be paid that offered no guarantee of even
- 26:01selling in the future at a better price.
- 26:04But see the future where it all works out that it was the right
- 26:10thing to do. By walking away, maybe it led to
- 26:16an improved offer, meaning that that's what it took to get the
- 26:23best outcome in door to. Or maybe by walking away you
- 26:29freed up a new level of resolve, dedication, tenacity to build it
- 26:38even bigger, better, more profitable than before.
- 26:44Perhaps knowing that those earlier prospective buyers
- 26:51keeping an eye on what's happening, and maybe it is they
- 26:57that have that regret, they regret not improving their offer
- 27:03when they had the chance, see it all in the most beneficial way.
- 27:11But also explore a future where walking away and not selling at
- 27:17that time doesn't work out. Your intuition will show you
- 27:24what would have to happen. I want you to get a sense then,
- 27:32if a company in a certain sector was just about to sell their
- 27:39business at a less than optimal price right before the pandemic,
- 27:45not knowing what impact the pandemic would have, there's a
- 27:50possibility that they wish they could have gone back in time,
- 27:57sold it at that price, and then deployed the resources or built
- 28:03something new when this Black Swan event happened.
- 28:11The nature of the Black Swan event is that they are
- 28:15unforeseeable. Unpredictable maybe in this
- 28:20undesirable future by you not selling.
- 28:25What if it leads to a missed opportunity?
- 28:31This is Schrodinger's box. Every iteration, every
- 28:35possibility coexists at exactly the same time.
- 28:40See the good, see the bad? See this third door being the
- 28:44best choice and the worst choice, giving your unconscious
- 28:49mind all the information to allow you to make intuitive
- 28:56decisions or negotiations. Step back into Schrodinger's
- 29:04box, in that vast Chamber of infinite time and possibility,
- 29:10and allow yourself to see all versions, versions of you,
- 29:19perhaps two or three years from now, standing in the box with
- 29:24you. Each decision created a
- 29:28different version of you. And allow them all to be in that
- 29:33room, judge their facial expressions, and maybe all three
- 29:40of them are happy. It's quite possible that
- 29:45whatever decision you make takes you to a good place.
- 29:52It's also possible then there will always be something to
- 29:56regret because your mind could go to that place of what if I
- 30:03did something different? Each version of you has learned
- 30:10something different from a different choice, lived
- 30:14something unique. But trust that because you are
- 30:19you in every iteration of you, your resources will always be
- 30:23there. Whatever happens.
- 30:26You have Dr. Tenacity, Determination, and Resilience as
- 30:34you start coming to the conclusion that you will make
- 30:38the best of whatever choice you make.
- 30:44Each version of you offers you a perspective, a lesson, or a
- 30:49piece of wisdom from a possible future.
- 30:53Allow yourself to soak up that wisdom in advance, distorting
- 30:59the linear nature of time. And as you look upon these
- 31:04versions of you, something remarkable happens.
- 31:09The 4th dimension bends around you, folding and merging.
- 31:15And in a moment, these timelines will collapse, coming together
- 31:20to form the best path. Whether you know it now or in
- 31:26the future, you will conclude that it was the right choice for
- 31:32you, the one that aligns with your values, your goals, and
- 31:36your truest desires. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 31:42you exhale, feel even more clarity washing over you and
- 31:47allow the past, the future, the Merton multiverse all coalescing
- 31:51into a singular moment, perhaps an epiphany of knowing.
- 31:58And if that sense of knowing doesn't appear, have an
- 32:02expectation that it will come to you in the very near future,
- 32:09that your intuition will allow you, and validate that when the
- 32:15right choice comes along, you will know it.
- 32:18It will feel right. It's time to leave Schrodinger's
- 32:24box and now appear on the outside, still seeing the box
- 32:31closed. Because the box will only open
- 32:36when you actually make your choice.
- 32:39Before then, all possibilities exist.
- 32:44Schrodinger's cat is both alive and dead, and all decisions are
- 32:51possible before you make it. It's time to leave this place,
- 32:58but you leave this place with a deep sense of trust that things
- 33:04will work out for the best, A feeling of more wisdom and
- 33:10insight, A feeling that whatever the right choice is, it will
- 33:19feel like the right choice when you make it.
- 33:24So just imagine walking back up that staircase that we can call
- 33:29perhaps the here and the now. As you walk up that staircase,
- 33:35feel yourself increasing your awareness.
- 33:42Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 33:45nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 33:46wiggle your toes. Start to connect with the here
- 33:50and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 33:55You will awaken with a deep feeling of insight and clarity
- 34:00and all the resources to increase the probability of the
- 34:06ideal choice and decision for you.
- 34:08Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
- 34:13More alert 7-8. Open your eyes, Open your eyes.
- 34:17910. Wide awake, wide awake, wide
