Speaker 1: to the heart, the first Revival. Amen. Cut to the

Speaker 1: heart here in verse thirty six. So let's see how

Speaker 1: it's done by the early Church, and the Word of

Speaker 1: God says, Therefore, let all the House of Israel know

Speaker 1: assuredly that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified

Speaker 1: they were cut to the heart. The truth will cut sometimes.

Speaker 1: challenged to change and to improve and to do better. Right.

Speaker 1: We need conviction, not entertainment, not hype, but conviction. The

Speaker 1: Bible begins when the heart gets pierced. This also shows

Speaker 1: Then the spirit is behind it. It draws them to repentance.

Speaker 1: Sometimes you could say something be truthful, but it could

Speaker 1: when the Holy Spirit is involved, the truth will draw

Speaker 1: heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,

Speaker 1: men and brethren, what shall we do that was worth

Speaker 1: thirty eight. And Peter said to them, repent, and let

Speaker 1: Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall

Speaker 1: Let's break this down. Repent and let every one of

Speaker 1: you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for

Speaker 1: the remission of sins. Now, Repentance means a change of

Speaker 1: mind that brings a change of direction. Baptism is the

Speaker 1: outward expression of inward faith. Baptism by itself does not

Speaker 1: save us, but it is a command that we be baptized.

Speaker 1: you're no longer gonna live a life controlled by the flesh,

Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. Now, Peter, he didn't say try Jesus. Peter

Speaker 1: said repent. He said, change your mind, turn from a

Speaker 1: life of sin and turn to Christ. We need to

Speaker 1: be doing a lot of turning. This is intentional. This

Speaker 1: is not something to play with that doesn't happen automatically.

Speaker 1: Or we can put this on cruise control. We have

Speaker 1: to when we are tempted or when we feel that sin,

Speaker 1: that those thoughts that are rising up, right, then we

Speaker 1: take those thoughts captive and we turn to the Lord,

Speaker 1: our savior and yield to him. Then he said to

Speaker 1: be baptized publicly, die to the old life, and rise

Speaker 1: up into the new life that God has provided for us,

Speaker 1: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 1: Now this is the promise. This is a precious promise. Amen,

Speaker 1: that God has provided forgiveness, salvation, and empowerment. This is
